Bilbo Baggins X GN Reader
Additional Characters: The Company and Gandalf (Mentioned)
WC: 1,125
Warnings: The Hobbit canon fighting mentioned, slight baby angst, and huge fluff
It was late at night when you came across the Hobbit home, with the glowing mark that Gandalf had left. You were a bit late, but only because you had become a bit lost in the beginning. You walked up to the door and knocked twice; hearing the loud chatter of the dwarves that were already inside. Hearing the hurried pitter patter of feet, the large round door opened, revealing whom you could only assume was Master Baggins. You immediately gave the Hobbit a smile, and Bilbo gave you a shocked wide-eye stare in return.
But, he was quick to snap out of his awe-like gaze, stepping aside for you to enter while offering you a cup of warm tea; to apologize for leaving you out in the cold. You couldn't help but fawn over the little Hobbit, who was so sweet and polite. He took your jacket, and you made your way inside. The lamps around the home gave it a warm glow, and the smell of food filled your nose. As you were walking down the hallway, you were greeted by the dwarves and Gandalf, as the dwarves tried to convince the poor Hobbit to become the Company's burglar.
You thought it was mighty adorable when Bilbo's nose wrinkled and twitched as he stared at the Company's contract. His eyebrows furrowed and eyes narrowed before the dwarves spoke of the dragon they were definitely going to run into when on the journey; Bilbo fainted. You swiftly made your way to his side, doing your best to sit him up and lay him on his chair near the fire. You sat across from him, re-reading the contract as you waited for him to wake. It didn't take too long, but he awoke, after you, the dwarves, and Gandalf left that night, Bilbo came running up; he wanted the adventure.
As the trip began, you and Bilbo became pretty close, riding ponies next to each other, talking about everything and nothing, and laughing whenever a joke got passed around. Soon enough, you found yourself falling deeper and deeper in love with the Hobbit, and he fell just as fast for you. Bilbo was shy at first, but soon got used to having you around, and enjoyed your company. As did you.
You and Bilbo were inseparable, always being together, and even the Company noticed how close the two of you got. It seemed like there wasn't an inch of space that wasn't occupied by one another, sitting next to each other, or keeping each other warm; cuddled up at night.
And when you and the Company got captured by those nasty trolls, you were beyond impressed when Bilbo was able to distract those trolls; Gandalf quickly came to finish the job.
To be honest, after that moment, you knew you were in love with Bilbo.
Bilbo knew he was in love with you when you were brushing your hair, watching you in a dream-like state as the moon's rays shone down on you.  When you turned to look at him; your lips curled into a small smile, and his face turned red, and he looked away, refusing to meet your eye.
Even though Bilbo fell back into being shy around you, that didn't stop him from spending as much time with you.
Bilbo would sneak you extra portions of dinner, and after you'd both walk together, staying close to the camp, stargazing. The company would notice this, and tease Bilbo, saying how he was treating you like royalty.
You loved seeing the happiness in his eyes every time he saw you, and you loved the feeling of his hand in yours.
Soon, you landed in Mirkwood, where you found yourself trapped behind a cell door. You sat in your cell, back and head leaning against the stone wall. The dwarves were fighting, yelling at one another and you were becoming tired of it. You just hoped Bilbo was alright. And that he wasn't killed by those spiders.
And imagine your surprise, when he came with the keys, unlocking all the cell doors and freeing you. You had to stop yourself from running into his arms, knowing you still had to get out of Mirkwood in the first place.
Fighting orcs while barreling down a rushing river was not what you thought was going to happen. You held tight onto Bilbo's arm, as he tried to stay afloat without a barrel. wishing the barrel had enough room for the both of you.
Upon exiting the river, then you pulled Bilbo into the hug you both so craved. The warmth from his body, the feel of his arms around you, your heart beating wildly inside your chest… All of these feelings overwhelmed you so much that you had to hold onto him tighter. Bilbo hugged back just as tightly.
"I missed you, too," He whispered in your ear, causing the butterflies in your stomach to flutter even more. He leaned closer, giving you a soft kiss on your forehead.
"I'm so glad you weren't eaten by spiders." You breathed, pulling away and holding his hands, looking into his brown eyes. They were shining like jewels in the moonlight. "I love you, Bilbo."
"I love you, too, (Y/N)."
That was the night you began courting each other.
You'd both scoot your bedrolls together, holding hands as you stared up at the stars together.
Bilbo would tell you stories of his home, his family, and his old simple life.
Bilbo promised that after the journey, he'd take you back to the Shire with him; where you could live your life together.
You loved that idea.
As the days went on and turned into months, you all finally arrived at Erebor.
The battle was stressful but victorious. You were all exhausted, as were those who fought alongside you and the dwarves.
But, in the end, you said goodbye to your friends, heading off with Bilbo back to the Shire.
The trip was long, but you were happy everything was over.
At the Shire, you were quick to help Bilbo get all his stuff back from his aunt and the rest of the Shire residents.
After that, everything was perfect.
You'd help Bilbo plant the acorn in his garden, watching as it slowly grew into a beautiful tree.
You spent many peaceful nights sitting by the fire, reading together.
Bilbo would cook for you, making you breakfast in bed, tea at tea time, and so on, and you loved it.
You helped Bilbo with his book as well, illustrating some bits and pieces.
You spent every waking moment with each other, getting to know each other and growing stronger together.
Life was perfect. And you wouldn't change any of it.

Any Hobbit worth their salt could recite upon command any number of stories about far-off lands and daring adventures. Children might shudder in their beds thinking of shadowy forests filled with creeping spiders; even adults could blanch over news of wolves spotted near Buckland. But that was all such tales were in the end: Distant news and exciting fiction, meant to entertain and never to touch its listeners. Nothing could ever really involve the Shire. The people of Hobbiton were free to continue their vicarious quests–until one day such a quest did involve the Shire.
“I already told you, Otho, I don’t have a mountain of gold hidden away to give to you. I’m certain that if I did, there would be nothing left after I was forced to buy back my home and all my possessions.”
You looked up from your work behind the counter to see one Bilbo Baggins sitting at a table across the room. He had a mug of ale clutched in one hand and a look of polite distaste on his face.
Upon recognizing his drinking companions, you couldn’t say you blamed him for looking like that. Otho and Lobelia Sackville-Baggins were not your favorite customers when they were minding their own business. Throw in harassing other patrons, and you couldn’t help but shoot them an ugly look of your own behind their backs.
Normally, you would have tried to throw them out. Now that you were in serious competition with your younger brother over the inheritance of the inn, however, you decided it would be better not to make a scene. "A patron is a patron, so long as they’ve got gold to spend," as your father had reminded you since you’d started working at the Green Dragon in your tweens. Apparently your brother had no trouble remembering this, though you suspected his good memory was because he didn’t spend much of his time on the clock doing any work, not because he lacked any hint of your admirable temper.
“[Name], quit lollygagging. Table Eight wanted supper fifteen minutes ago,” your father called over the usual evening hubbub.
His watchful eye prevented you from eavesdropping further on Bilbo and his guests, so you flashed your haggard father a grin, picked up a waiting tray of food, and dove back into the throng.
The Green Dragon had been owned by your family since it had been built several generations ago. Sometimes you got the feeling your father would have gladly given up five square meals a day to be rid of the responsibility of running the place. Not so you. Working at the inn made you come alive more than any other place in the whole of the Shire. You had been hanging around it since you were old enough to follow your father to work as a youth and working there since you were bold enough to convince him to give you a job. By necessity, you knew every nook and cranny, every regular’s name, and every story ever told by the grand stone fireplace.
Except, that was, for Bilbo’s story. Even knowing that the mere sight of Otho and Lobelia would anger you, you sneaked another peek over at their table as you set the food down on another surrounded by ravenous tweens. Sure enough, the trio was still there. Bilbo’s polite façade appeared to be fading quickly as he listened to the two of them rant.
“[Name],” whined one of the tween boys, “you’re in the way.”
You hastily removed your hand before any of them could mistake it for part of their meal. Your constantly-hungry youth wasn’t so far behind you that you had forgotten what it felt like.
“Make sure to pay before you leave this time. Don’t want me to have to talk to your parents again, do you?” you asked.
None of them replied.
With a deep breath and a roll of your eyes, you turned away. Before you lay a buzzing dining hall. Hobbits laughed and ate and drank in seemingly every inch of the building. It warmed your heart to see so many happy people enjoying your family’s business. All except for Bilbo, of course, who had dismissed faking politeness entirely and now stared grumpily into the space about his relatives’ heads as they prattled on about whatever it was they had a bone to pick about that night.
Before you could even attempt to interrupt the conversation, your father caught your eye and motioned impatiently at the growing assortment of food and drink waiting to be delivered. You picked your way toward him, progress hindered by the many customers that stopped you to say hello. The conversation at Bilbo’s table had grown quite lively by the time you arrived at the bar to pick up another order.
Truth be told, Bilbo’s fascinating disappearance and reappearance were not the only things about him that kept you looking at him. Neither were his rumored riches; you planned to take over the Dragon and raise your own small fortune, after all. Bilbo had, in fact, always interested you. He had had his own schedule before he’d left the Shire, coming in once a week to drink and listen to the same old stories you did day after day. Always polite, that Bilbo, if admittedly not forcibly friendly like most of the others. You had never had to throw him out for poor behavior, at any rate.
That night was the first night he’d been back to the inn after all his time away. You’d been dying to talk to him since the minute you saw him walk through the door. Between your job and the Sackville-Bagginses, you hadn’t had a chance.
Then an idea occurred to you–a wonderful, terrible, perfect idea. Before any of your fellow workers could guess that you were up to something, you filled your tray with the waiting glasses of ale. Your plan might not have had the best timing, considering the dinner rush and how flustered your father had already become, but he would have to do without you. You were only one Hobbit, and if your father truly believed passing the Green Dragon onto your brother (who was, as usual, suspiciously absent that evening), then what good was your working your fingers to the bone to please customers?
You turned and marched purposely toward the table at which Bilbo, Lobelia, and Otho sat. As you drew nearer, you could understand why Bilbo looked as pained as he did.
“As far as I’m concerned, you forfeited your right to Bag End when you left without saying a word and without electing an heir. The hole is ours,” Otho was saying.
“Is it,” said Bilbo.
Lobelia gave him a very nasty, almost un-hobbotish sneer. “You clearly aren’t right in the head anymore. Dragons? Dwarves? Why don’t you just admit you got into some messy business with that Gandalf fellow and step aside for Otho to be head of the family?”
“Difficult to do when I’m not at all mad, my dear Lobelia. For why should you think I had gold to spare if I never had my grand adventure?”
“You’re a fool,” she said, “a fool and perhaps even a criminal. We could go over your head, Bilbo. Mark my words.”
“Consider them marked. Now if you’ll excuse me…”
“We aren’t done here,” Otho growled, getting up to follow Bilbo away from the table.
Oh, yes you are, you thought.
Just as Otho reached over to pull Bilbo back into his seat, you arrived along with half the dining hall’s drinks. Otho standing up actually provided you with the perfect opportunity. All you had to do was angle your feet just right, and–
Lobelia’s scream told you that you had succeeded. Your staged trip and fall managed to tip all the ale on your tray so that it spilled over the Sackville-Baggginses heads. There they sat, dripping in abject shock, as Bilbo stood staring on in astonishment.
“Oh no!” you squealed dramatically. “Did I do that? I’m ever so sorry. I’m such a klutz!”
With a lurch toward Lobelia, you made to press a towel to her sopping hair. She flinched away before turning the full brunt of her wrath on you.
“You-You-You,” she said. Apparently, your act had rendered her unable to form complete sentences.
This unforeseen bonus didn’t last long; before you could so much as attempt to offer a fake apology, Otho got in your face: “I’ll have your job for this, girl,” he said, and any desire to apologize, falsely or otherwise, vanished.
You hooked a thumb over your shoulder toward where you’d last seen your father running around like a chicken with his head cut off. “Boss is that way.”
The two left without more than several glares in your direction. You watched only long enough to see your father shoot you a knowing, aggrieved sort of look when the Sackville-Bagginses approached him.
Shrugging, you turned away. Well, it was difficult to feel sorry for him. If he really wanted a supper rush without incident, he really ought to have forced your brother to show up for his shifts every once and awhile, especially if you were expected to give up your inheritance without a fight.
All the same, you knew better than to leave a mess behind. You began to pick up the (thankfully unbroken) glasses littering the table and were almost finished by the time Bilbo spoke:
“Thank you.”
You had assumed he had taken the opportunity to escape your inn entirely, actually. His voice surprised you, and even more so that he was standing exactly where you’d left him.
“You don’t need to thank me for being clumsy,” you answered, then smiled mischievously at his blank expression. “It looked like you could use a rescue. Those two shouldn’t bother you again tonight.”
“Thank you,” he said with more feeling.
“It’s your first time back since your adventure. Wouldn’t want you spooked off forever.”
Much to your confusion, Bilbo hesitated before he replied. His eyes slid toward the door and back to you, and then he took a wide step backward. “Right,” he said. “All the same, I think I had better get going.”
As you looked on, he began to shuffle toward the front door. You realized with a jolt exactly what he thought: Bilbo believed you, too, were after his gold. He didn’t exactly look less nervous when you followed after him either.
“That’s a shame,” you said. “I really was hoping to hear your story.”
That got him to pause. “You…were?”
“Sure. Dwarves and dragons and spiders and elves. Sounds better than half of the stories the rest of them have been telling all week. I'm getting a little tired of the time the creek froze over and let the wolves in, personally. ”
“Mine is a rather exciting tale,” Bilbo confessed, then seemed to decide you weren’t so frightening that he couldn’t size you up. “And you are?”
“[Name]. My dad owns the place.”
At that, a look of slight disappointment crossed his face. You didn’t understand it, not until he went on: “Then I suppose you wouldn’t be able to join me at my hole for a cup of coffee and a chat? I find myself wanting a quieter atmosphere, but I could do with some company still.”
The words no, not tonight were right on your lips. You couldn’t just abandon the inn, or your father for that matter.
But on second thought, why couldn’t you? Really, your brother ought to have been there by now to take over, and there were other servers, too, picking their slow ways from table to table. Besides, when was the last time you’d been given time off, or even a break for that matter?
“You know what?” you said. “I’d love to.”
“Delightful!” cried Bilbo, and he held out his arm.
It took you less than half a second to place your tray on top of one of the other server’s trays as she passed by. She gave you a wild-eyed, panicked looked, but you did not explain.
You’d hear all about your lack of responsibility in the morning once your father discovered you had slipped away. For the time being, you were just like any other Hobbit. Who cared about work, the inheritance, or the inn when there was such a fine story to hear and such a fine Hobbit to tell it? Even as you thought about the lecture you were in for, you couldn't find yourself regretting your decision.

“Kili, you can’t tell anyone about this.” “So it’s our dirty little secret then?”
Tumblr media
Paring: Kili Durin x afab reader
Genre: romantic smut
Word count: 2.2k
Summary: You’re Bilbo's adopted human daughter and he takes you along on the journey. Kili has his heart set on you and after getting involved in the fight he gets angry with you for putting yourself in a dangerous situation.
Warnings: public sex, arguing, jealous Kili, hickeys, p in v sex, hickeys??? Idk what else I always forget
a/n: I did not proofread and its lowkey a summary of the first movie? This is my first smut regarding anyone in the tolkien universe but I did write some sad fluff at some point lmao. Anyways, please like and send any requests if you want <3 tags go absolutely wild
You’ve been an adopted hobbit for the last 18 years of your life, Bilbo was always comforted in the known so when he brought you along with him and the dwarfs on their journey you were beyond surprised. Your presence was unexpected for everyone, except Gandalf of course, and most of the company was against your involvement. The dwarves saw you as frail and weak, the only one on your side was your dad, but of course he was.
Kili has kept an eye out for you since you joined the company, he makes sure you're safe and also just enjoys looking at you.
__________
When Elrond and his fellow elves come back the dwarves pull you and your father behind them and create a circle around you. You stay behind your Bilbo as the elves talk with Gandalf.
Upon your entrance to their dining room you look around with wonder, you sit down between Kili and your dad. “They're so beautiful,” you whisper to Bilbo, he nods with a gentle but awkward smile. Kili’s ears twitch as he looks around, his eyes narrow on an elf who has his eyes on you, he moves closer to you wrapping his arm around you.
“You think so?” Kili questions, his jaw clenching slightly, “I think us dwarves are better looking, stronger too.” he says pridefully, you chuckle in response.
“Is it a competition now?” you cock your head, “You’re very good looking too, Kili.” he smiles wide.
“Is that so? I am the best looking of all of the company, aside from Thorin of course.” you laugh, putting your hand on his arm.
“A bit full of yourself huh?” he shoves your shoulder gently in response. Kilis arms finds its way around your waist as he continues to glare at the elf who dared to look at you, who did he even think he was.
Gandalf, Bilbo, and Thorin wander off with Lord Elrond, leaving you with the dwarfs. You watch quietly, laughing with them and listening to their conversations before you feel yourself drifting off to sleep. Kili quietly sits next to you letting your head fall to his shoulder he smiles, covering you up with a blanket.
__________
After the company left the palace Thorin led everyone to the Misty Mountains, Kili keeps you in front of him. He insists that it’s better that way so if you fall he can catch you. As the rain picks up your feet slip under you, Kili and Fili grasp your arms quickly, pulling you back onto the ledge.
“Thank you,” you say softly as your eyes look over the ledge. Kili keeps a hold of your arm tightly as you all try to avoid the stone giant's blasts. The ground splits under your feet as the mountain takes shape as a giant, you grab onto the stone behind you before everyone begins to slide forward.
The stone giant slams into the mountain, throwing everyone off of it and onto the ground. Thorin yells for his nephews as the rest of the company runs over, Kili helps you up dusting your clothes off and checking to make sure you weren’t hurt anywhere.
After all the commotion everyone settles into the cave, Bilbo pulls you off to the side and quietly talks to you, he tells you about his plan to leave once everyone is asleep. “Why dad? What's wrong?” you whisper to him.
“Thorin is right, we never should've left home, I’ve put you in danger and I can’t let anything else happen to you.” he sighs as he runs his hand through your hair, “It’s okay, we’ll be fine.” he smiles reassuringly.
You both gather all of your stuff and sneak out, he leads you by the hand. He pulls you behind him as he talks with Bofur, you stay quiet looking around the cave. You didn’t really want to leave the company, I mean they were becoming your friends, you enjoyed the company.
“Y/N?” Kili mumbles as he looks up at you, he yawns. “Where are you going?” You crouch down putting your hand on his shoulder.
“Go back to sleep Kili, you need your rest,” you smile sweetly.
The floor splits and you slip down with everyone, Bilbo gets away but you are guided off with the dwarves. Your eyes fill with terror as you look around, you take a hold of Kilis hand squeezing tight as the goblins push you all around. You cower behind him, holding onto his shirt tightly.
Once you get out the dwarves all argue over where your dad went, your head drops as you think that your dad couldn't possibly have left you all alone. He reappears and you rush over to hug him, his hands drop to your waist as he smiles.
“Y/N!” Kili and Bilbo yell at you as you try to defend the dwarves with your small blade; it goes into the center of the wargs head, and Kili grabs you and pulls you up to the tree with him. His hand wrapping around your waist as he holds you close.
“Don’t move,” Kili’s voice is angry as he demands you to stay put. His hands dig into your slides as you look below your feet. Kili’s hands slip away as they start to throw the pinecones, the tree begins to fall, you grasp onto the trunk as tight as you can. His hands wrap around the tree, his eyes focused on you.
As Thorin and your father begin to fight the orcs, your eyes squeeze shut tightly, you try to focus on anything but the attack of Thorin. Kili pulls you up and onto the ground, insisting you stay put as they go to fight. You look forward, clutching the blade you retrieved from the corpse tight. As all of the commotion ensues you feel yourself being picked up by an eagle.
Once you all are in a safe place you watch as Gandalf helps heal Thorin. You stand next to your dad, holding onto his arm, as Thorin goes in for a hug you let go of him and move back. Your eyes wander to Kili who turns his head in order to avoid eye contact with you.
As the company moves forward you come across an area close to a river, Gandalf suggests that you all take a break and bathe. You and Kili were the last to go, you were paired up at the recommendation of Fili.
Kili guides you to the river, holding his weapon close to his chest, he’s been giving you the silent treatment after you got in between a fight. “You can bathe here, I’ll keep watch.” his voice stern.
“Kili..” your voice trails off as you look at his back, trying to pull his attention to you.
“Y/N, just take your bath. It’s getting dark.” Kili’s tone is extremely cold. You pout your lips as you begin pulling your clothing off slowly, once you finish you slip into the cold water.
“You can turn back now,” you say softly before you dip all the way under the water, holding your breath and squeezing your eyes shut. After a while you break the surface of the water sliding your hands over your face pulling the water back with your hair. Kili had turned around keeping his eyes on everything but you.
“Kili,” you wave him over, “come here, please.” you bite your lip as he gives you a bored expression.
“What is it?” he walks close to the bank of the river, his eyes scanning your face.
“Shouldn’t you join me? You're supposed to bathe as well,” he sighs, turning his back to you again.
“Fine, turn away.” he sets down his sword and strips quickly. You face the other way as he slips into the water with you.
“Kili, what is your problem?” you huff, spinning around with your arms crossed over your breasts.
“What do you mean?” his eyes are half closed as he looks at you with a slightly annoyed expression.
You move closer to him, “I mean, you’re acting so rude for no reason. You won’t look at me, you barely talk to me, you’re being so dumb” you glare at him, “So what is your problem?” he rolls his eyes at you.
“I don’t know maybe the fact that you threw yourself into harm's way? You could’ve gotten yourself killed,” he yells at you while running his hand through his hair.
“Calm down Kili,” you move close to him, putting your hand on his arm. “I didn’t expect you to get all worked up like this, I know I should have been more careful but I just wanted to help.” your eyebrows furrow as you look down.
His warm hands grasp your upper arms “You really worried me Y/N,” he presses his forehead against yours.
“You worried about me?” a sly smile paints itself on your lips, “does that mean you like me Kili?” your voice is soft and teasing. His ears turn a deep shade of crimson as he turns his head up.
“Y/N cut that out,” he puts his hand on the side of your neck, his eyes flick to your lips.
“Cut what out?” you wrap your arms around his neck pulling yourself close to him.
“You know what,” he clenches his jaw, your hands running down his back as you wrap your legs around his hips.
Kili pulls your face to his, hovering his lips over yours “Quit teasing me,” he whispers. Your hand snakes up to the back of his head, cradling it as you push your lips against his. His hands move to your waist, his fingers dig into your soft flesh as he hugs you tighter against him.
“Mahal,” he pulls away, pressing soft kisses down your face and onto your neck. You lean back letting his lips trail over your body, your nails scratch his scalp softly as you arch into him.
“Amrâlimê,” he whispers against your collarbone, “you’re driving me insane,” Kili groans. He grasps your face pulling you in for an intimate kiss, he’s getting more intense with his affections, his hands squeezing your hips roughly.
Your hand trails down his chest tracing every muscle on his stomach, he begins grinding against you while holding your hips against him. Pulling away from the kiss you gasp for air, leaning your head against his shoulder, you wrap your hands in his hair pulling it off to the side. Kissing his neck roughly you begin to leave soft marks on his flesh as he massages your ass.
“Y/N..” he mumbles into your ear, you moan softly as he picks you up, moving into shallow water. “Can we..?” his ears flush as he looks away, “I mean, would you mind?” you chuckle softly.
“Mhm,” you move your hips against his thigh, feeling him twitch underneath you. “But we’ll have to be quick..” you kiss his shoulder as his hands pull your hips up, he lines himself up with your hole, pushing the tip in.
“Let me know if it hurts,” he says gently, his hand finding its way to your neck grabbing ahold of it pulling your head back as you moan softly. He bucks his hips up into you, leaning forward you bury your face into his nape hugging him tight as you moan into his skin.
“My precious girl,” he groans as he slowly begins moving your hips up and down, his fingers digging into your soft skin, leaving red marks. You moan into his ear as you begin riding him, your arms wrap tight around his neck, eyebrows furrowing as you squeeze around his dick.
Kili cradles your head against him, holding you as close as he can, thrusting up into you pushing as deep as he can. Your head falls onto his shoulder, he moves a hand down to your sensitive clit, rubbing circles into it.
“I’m so close,” you moan, Kili nods in response.
“Me too,” he groans, his hands exploring every part of your body as he pulls you into a passionate kiss.
“Hey, Y/N, Kili, hurry it up.” Fili yells to you, causing the both of you to jolt up. Kili pushes himself into you as deep as he can. You bite your lip as you cum around him, your hole pulsing.
Your back arches, silent gasps leaving your open mouth as you ride out your high. Your whole body seems to tense up causing Kili to groan while he cums deep inside you. He pulls you off of him giving you a sweet kiss.
“Now we really need to clean up, and fast.” He says lowly, his hands creep up from behind you gasping your sides as he pulls you into deeper water to rinse off. You sigh contently as he holds your body close to his.
After quickly cleaning yourselves up; you both get out, drying off before putting your clothes back on.
“Kili, you can’t tell anyone about this.” you bite your lip as you turn to him, his eyebrows furrow. “Bilbo might actually get so mad he tries to kill you,” you giggle softly as his face relaxes.
“So it’s our dirty little secret then?” coming close to you he wraps his arms around your neck giving you a deep kiss. “But we will get to tell everyone later, right?” he pulls back, eyes scanning yours.
“Yes, Kili,” you kiss the tip of his nose, hands resting on his shoulders, “but let's wait it out for a bit, okay?” he smiles in response.

Bilbo x Wife! Reader
“Never ending pick up lines”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The dwarves were gathered in the kitchen, watching as Y/N expertly cooked up a storm. As they chatted and joked around, one of them – it may have been Bofur – suggested they try out some pick-up lines on her.
"Hey, Y/N," Kili said, grinning mischievously. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"
Y/N rolled her eyes with a laugh. "Oh, is that your best shot?" she teased.
Bofur chimed in. “They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Looks like I’ll never take mine off you.”
Y/N laughed again, shaking her head. "Keep trying, boys."
Bilbo looked on in amusement, but as the teasing continued, he began to feel a little left out. He turned to Y/N with a sly grin. "Hello, my lady," he said, approaching her from behind hugging her waist. "Are you a thief? Because you stole my heart."
Y/N turned to face him, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she put her arms around him. "Oh, is that so?" she said, a hint of challenge in her tone.
Bilbo nodded, feeling his heart racing in his chest. "Yes, it is and I'd like to steal a kiss from you, too. As compensation."
Before he could react, Y/N leaned in and planted a soft, lingering kiss on his lips. The dwarves whooped and hollered, cheering the couple on.
As they pulled away, Bilbo was left feeling a little flustered but undeniably pleased with himself. "Well, I guess I've still got it," he said with a grin.
Y/N chuckled. "You never lost it, my love," she said, giving him another quick peck on the cheek. "Now, who's hungry for dinner?"

Bofur: Alright. So if y/n is our dad friend, what would happen if he marries one of us?
Y/n, across the camp but heard his name: WHAT???? What is it?
Bofur, yelling: Since you're the dad here, what happens if you marry one of us?
Y/n, wiggling his eyebrows: Well then you'd have to call me "daddy."
*confused silence*
Y/n: Hang on--do you not--do you guys even have that word here?
Kili: Yes but why is it applicable here???
Y/n, turning red: Oh god, nevermind, it's a bad joke from my world, don't think about it.
Bofur, grinning: Well if it turns you of all people that color, then we have to know!
Y/n: Oh fuck no, I do not have the emotional capacity to teach a pack of dwarves and a hobbit the cultural shift to the connotation of the word "daddy."
Kili, mildly insulted: Hey!
Thorin, interested now: You said it was a joke. Explain, this particular "pack of dwarves" loves jokes.
Y/n: You just love to see me uncomfortable, don't you Oakenshield?
Thorin: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Bilbo: I must admit I am curious.
Bofur: Yes y/n, tell us!
Y/n: NO!

Y/N snorted throwing a disappointed look in Kili's direction, at the disgusted grimace that had taken place on his face as soon as he had swallowed the first bite of the stew she had prepared for dinner that evening, and that still, even though both had practically pretended to eat, made no sign of wanting to leave his lips. Absurd, she thought, looking at him grimly, she had spent the whole afternoon in the kitchen taking care of that stew, preparing it as he liked, following the recipe that Dìs had kindly passed her, she had taken care of every little detail, tasted constantly to be sure of the flavor, that she hadn't overdone the spices, and after all that effort she thought she deserved something more than a couple of tight smiles and grimaces full of disgust.
"Kili ..." she suddenly called him back, letting the spoon slip into her plate with an unnerved sigh, among what still remained of her meal, unable to bear that situation any longer
"I know I'm not the best cook in the world" she sighed again, finally drawing his attention to herself "That what I prepare for you has nothing to do with your mother's cooking, but this stew doesn't seem so terrible to me" she said nervously tasting another bite and throwing the spoon back into the bowl, this time badly "Not so much as to deserve that disgusted expression, not after all the time I wasted preparing it!" she spat angrily at him crossing her arms to her chest while as if to emphasize the anger that was boiling in her veins, she started rocking in her chair manteining balance with her heels.
"It's not the stew ..." Kili muttered with difficulty in a hoarse, almost dry voice, looking at her confused and a little incredulous, as if he didn't expect a similar reaction, not from her, not after the months in which, due to his work in the Blue Mountains, they had not been able to see each other, not when they were about to say goodbye again and for much longer "That's delicious, as always" he mumbled again, letting out a couple of coughs as he barely maneged to swallow up a sip of water "It's my throat" he resumed then massaging his neck with a grimace full of pain and discomfort "It hurts and…"
"And you struggle to swallow ...!" Y/N finished for him with wide eyes, inevitably feeling a fool for having yelled at him in that way and for such a stupid reason. Kili didn't answer her, at least not whit his voice, he just stretched his lips into a thin smile, nod his head and mimic a simple "I'm sorry" with his lips.
"No" Y/N replied immediately, waving her hands in front of her face in horror as she sat back down with embarrassment, with her hands placed on the table and her feet firmly planted on the ground "You don't have to apologize" she said getting up from her seat to reach him at the other side of the table
"I'm the one who has to apologize, I yelled at you for no reason" she continued "I wanted this dinner to be perfect, I wanted to welcome you with something special after all these weeks of distance, to make you feel at home before your leaving for Erebor, and the thought of having ruined everything has made me nervous, forgive me my love..." she added, looking down with embarrassment at the tip of her toes while with apprehension and a delicacy that, at that moment, to kili seemed from another world, she placed her hand on his forehead to check his temperature
"It doesn't matter" Kili replied, narrowing his eyes and letting out a sigh of relief as soon as Y/N's cool hand was on his forehead.
"You have a fever ..." Y/N mumbled with concern and surprise, throwing her hand away from his forehead, almost as if she had burned herself. A little annoyed, he wished he could have enjoied the pleasant coolness of her hand for a little longer, Kili let out a grunt.
"You need rest" Y/N told him, gently pulling away his hair from his sweaty forehead
"No" Kili mumbled in response, shaking his head "I don't feel like it" he added grabbing her hand and starting to absently fiddle with her fingers before leaving her a series of small kisses on the knuckles made rough by the years of work behind her. Y/N giggled shaking her head with feigned exasperation, softened and amused at the same time by the little pout that had curled his lips and that more than a fearsome dwarven warrior made him look like a capricious little child.
"You're sick" she told him "And in a couple of weeks you'll have to leave with your uncle for Erebor, if you don't take care of your cold now it will turn into something more serious, you risk to not being able to take part in the expedition" she pointed out then, passing with distraction and a sort of melancholy her hand in his hair, pausing for a few moments on the thin braid that dangled near his neck, identical to the one she too was hiding in her hair and which symbolized their story, the promise of a life together
"Erebor is your dream" she suddenly resumed, emerging from the trance in which she had fallen "It always has been" she said, decisively and melancholy intertwining her gaze with his "You can't put it at risk for such a stupid thing"
"I know ..." Kili sighed wile grabbing her softly by the waist, pulling her close to him "But at the moment my heart is split in half ..." he said, returning her gaze with lucid eyes, red and swollen with tears that were waiting for nothing but to streak his tanned face “I don't want to leave you…. Not for this long… ” he finally confessed to her with a strangled sob, sinking his face against her chest, holding her to him as if he didn't want to let her go. Struck by his words, with her heart thigt in a grip of pain mixed with despair and something similar, but much more melancholy than happiness, Y/N hugged him, kissing his head with affection while finally, just like him who had collapsed as soon as he had hided his face in the soft folds of her shirt, she allowed herself to shed all those tears she had forced herself to hold back in those days, in a desperate attempt to be strong and not let herself be devoured by despair.
What worried them, what anguished them so much, was not the thought of not being able to bear the distance that would separate them - both, for work, had always traveled a lot and for long periods - but the awareness that this time, unlike the others, they did not have the security that they could see each other again, that they could hug each other again and keep the promise that they had made to eachother. Erebor was a long way off, and the road to it was studded with dangers, dangers that no matter how skilled they might be in combat, none of Thorin's company was sure they could overcome. The thought of Smaug then, of his violence, of his wickedness, gave her chills, and yet, despite this, aware that those who were about to live could have been their last days together, as much as she really wanted to be selfish and begging him to stay safe next to her, Y/N did not feel like asking him to give up what had been his dream since childhood.
"I don't want you to leave ..." she suddenly said through tears, breaking the silence that had surrounded them with her own voice "I'm afraid that something could happen to you, I'm afraid of never seeing you again" she added moving away from him just enough to be able to look into his eyes, gently grasping his face in her hands "But I can't ask you to give up everything for me. You never did such thing whit me, you have always let me free to follow my heart" she continued, wiping the tears from under his eyes "I want to do the same for you, I want you to feel free to follow your heart, to fight for what you believe in" she finished, giving him a sad but equally sure smile.
"Thank you ..." Kili answered gently caressing her face "Thank you" he repeated again holding her close to him "Thank you for the freedom you leave me, for the understanding you show me and for your support" he said while his eyes turned lucid again for the emotion he was feeling "I'll come back" he resumed then looking at her with decision "I'll come back to you and we will get married, we will live the life we have always dreamed of and then there will be nothing to divide us" he promised, giving her a radiant smile full of hope.
"I believe you" Y/N replied smiling at him through her tears "I know you will come back to me" she added again drying her tears with the sleeve of her shirt, letting out a little tremulous laugh "But now come and rest" she continued happily kissing his forehead "You have to rest to recover, otherwise the disease will prevent you from leaving" she giggled, holding out her hands and beckoning him to follow her.
This time, unlike the previous one, Kili did not protest, he firmly grabbed her hands and, staggering a little, he allowed her to escort him to his room. He let Y/N help him settle under the blankets, let her place a cool cloth on his forehead and then, exhausted, lulled by the gentle sound of her heartbeat, he fell asleep.

Y/n: How did you do that without turning around?

Pov. (Y/n)
Just sitting and drifting in my thoughts hurt. Everything hurt. I just want to disappear. Not feeling any emotions, or not wanting to feel them? Do I like being alone, or I'm just lonely? I don't know.
Those questions repeated themselves every night like this.
I sat down on the windowsill and watched everything going on outside the window, heavy breaths escaping my mouth. I had my headphones on, listening to some calm/sad music. It was dark outside. Some street lanters gave a little light outside. A few cars passed by. The fog was thick. Something about this weather made me feel safe. I don't know what it is exactly, but it's a peaceful and calm feeling. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.
Then I felt a wave of fresh air hitting me.
"Weird.. I don't remember opening my window.."
I thought and opened my eyes. I jumped when I saw a tall man in grey robes in front of me. He was tall! I looked up at his face, shaking with a slight fear. He had a long white beard and a pointy, grey hat. He was also holding a long stick. He reminded me of someone...
While I was too stuned to do anything, I heard mumbled voices. I realized that I still had my headphones on and took them off.
- How did this lass get here?!
I heard someone say with anger. I looked around me and saw that I was outside, standing on a green grass. The sky was dark. Behind me, there was a fireplace and a lot of short men. They all had beards, but there was also a smaller man, with bare feet and without the beard.
And then it hit me. My eyes went wide as I heard the tallest man talk.
"Am I in Middle-Earth?!"
I thought and looked up at a man in front of me.
- I- I'm sorry to interupt...
I said, and they all looked at me. I gulped, feeling all of their gazes on me.
- But- are you Gandalf..?
The wizard chuckled and nodded his head. I was stuned again.
"How is that even possible?!"
I saw the wizard slightly bent before me.
- And who you may be?
He asked with a polite smile. Oh, Gandalf always knew how to make odd things right...
- I'm (Y/n).. and apparently.. I'm from another world...
I looked down, embarrassed. I heard someone scoff.
- From another world?! I don't believe it!! You must be a spy!!!
I didn't even look up, because I knew no one would believe me. Maybe Gandalf would...
- Thorin Oakenshield!! She is not a spy!! I would feel it if she was, but she isn't one.
Gandalf said and I sighed in relief.
- Now! Everyone, we have to settle here for the night, so go and prepare yourself. I will go and talk with (Y/n).
Gandalf said and all of the dwarves go their way. The wizard took me a few meters away from their camping place. I sat down on a rock and grabbed my head in my hands. He sat next to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
- I do believe you, (Y/n). I'm not going to lie.. before you got here, I was practising some of my spells, and apparently, you must get here by one of them..
He said and rubbed my back in a comforting way. I looked at him, surprised and shocked.
- So technically, there is a way to send me back home?
I asked with hope, but at the same time, I didn't want to go back. My life was worthless and awful back in my world. I always wanted to make it exciting or something, and now I have a chance.
- Yes, but you would have to give me some time to-
- It's okay! You don't have to!
I interrupted him with a truthful smile on my face. He looked at me with curiosity and confusion.
- You know.. I actually don't want to go back.. Maybe it's not an accident that you brought me here...
I said, chuckling, and he smiled with a nod. I told him about my world a bit and my life, but then I heard some quiet footsteps. I looked over to the sound and saw the hobbit with two bowls in his hands. He was smiling shyly.
- I- I thought that since you are not near the fireplace and are probably hungry, I would give you some soup.
He said and handed us the bowls. I nodded and said "thank you". He slightly bowed.
- I'm Bilbo Baggins. The company's burglar.
He said. I nodded with a smile.
- Bilbo. Take care of (Y/n) for a while, will you?
The wizard told the hobbit, and he nodded. Gandalf got up and walked away, into the forest. I looked over at the bowl.
- What's that?
I asked, looking at Bilbo. He looked at me and back at the soup.
- It's quite everything. Balin made this with Bombur's help, and told us it's an old-fashioned soup, where you throw everything in the pot and make soup out of it.
He said, giggling, slightly scrunching his nose. I smiled at the cute sight before me and nodded. His eyes wided.
- Oh! Excuse me for a second.
He quickly ran back to the fireplace and walked back to me with his own bowl. He sat down next to me, and we began to eat our supper. The taste was really good, nothing like I had expected.
- Mm! It's good! I mean really good!!
I said, happily. Bilbo chucked and sipped his own soup. After a short while, we finished our food.
- So if it was really good, you should tell it to Balin and Bombur, I'm sure they would be happy to hear it from you!
The hobbit said with a smile, and I looked down. Bilbo placed his hand on my shoulder and looked at me concerned.
- Ay! You will be fine! I'm sure they will like you!
He said, trying to cheer me up.
- I know they will.. but I'm not sure that Thorin likes me or even trusts me..
I said quietly, but Bilbo is now standing in front of me and pulling his hand out for me.
- Come on. I will be right behind you..
He said calmly, and I looked up at him. He had this adorable smile of his and eyes full of kindness. I gently took his hand, and he helped me get up. He was slowly leading me to the fireplace, still holding my hand. I blushed at his action.
When we sat down around the fire, like everyone else did, Bilbo pulled his hand away. All eyes were on me. I gulped and blushed. I took a deep breath.
- Balin.. Bombur.. this soup is extremely g- good!
I said while rubbing my arm, but the dwarves simply smiled.
- Why thank you, lass.
Balin said, chuckling. My worries swam away, and I returned the smile, looking up. From the corner of my eye, I saw Bilbo's relieved face and a smile creeping on it. The atmosphere wasn't so tense when I first got here. The company talked lively about their adventures and all that.
- So (Y/n)? Did you have any adventures in your world? And what are those?
A young dwarf asked me, it was Kíli. He pointed at my headphones, hanging on my neck.
- To be honest, I totally forgot about those.
I said, giggling.
- But no. We don't have any adventures back in my world. You just work to live. It's more like a sad life than actually something happy, I dunno...
I said, looking down sadly, but then I quickly looked up at them.
- But those are my headphones. They are made for playing music from my phone.
I said, and they all looked at me like I was insane. I smiled and took out my phone from my pocket. I turned it on, adjusted the screenlight, and checked my battery.
"Hmm.. still 88%, that's good.."
I thought and opened my music app. I quickly turned down the volume.
- Who wants to try? That's nothing scary and hurtful.
I asked, smiling, and saw Kíli looking at them really interested. I slowly got up and sat down in front of the dwarf. I gently put my headphones over his ears and looked at him.
- What type of songs do you like, Kíli?
I asked while clicking search on my phone. He thought for a second.
- Catchy and happy ones.
He said, smiling. I thought for a second and searched for "What makes you beautiful - One Direction" and played it. The song started playing, and Kíli was amazed.
- Aye! It's pretty good!
He said loudly. I laughed and left him to listen to the song. He started boucing to the song a bit and hum. We all laughed.
I repeated this thing with every other dwarf (except for Thorin, cause he said it's a waste of time), but when I sat close to each dwarf and put mine handphones on them, I felt a strong gaze on me. I played it off, because I thought everyone found me weird or insane.
Now it was time for Bilbo. He wanted to go last, I didn't know why. When I sat down in front of him, he blushed. And when I put on my headphones on him, he blushed even harder. He looked so cute, his face is so perfect. His lips in a soft smile, cheeks pink, and his slightly pointy ears that are now pinkish too. I adored him so much.
When I broke away from my thoughts, I asked what he would like me to play.
- Play what you mostly listen to..
He said, and his request shocked me. He was smiling sweetly, and I slowly put on my favourite calm/sad song. His eyes widened with shock and sadness. No one ever asked me to play one of my songs, and I don't feel good while showing them to people. But Bilbo was different. I knew he wouldn't judge.
- Well... that's a really interesting one.. It's like you know the feeling of this, and you can understand the song..
The hobbit said with a sweet smile. He was right. I felt the same when I played this song. Like I sat on my windowsill, just like earlier. Watching the cars drive by and everything covered in fog.
I smiled widely back at him, seeing that he could truly understand the power of this song. He gently took my headphones off and handed them back. I took them and turned them off to not waste the battery. I turned off my phone too.
We started talking again. Dwarves were really curious about my world, so I tried explaining everything to them as simple as I could. I felt cold air hitting my skin, and I shivered. I wrapped my arms around myself, but the next thing I felt was a heavy fabric on my shoulders. I looked up to and saw Bilbo putting his blanket on me. I smiled happily, and he sat next to me.
- Thank you, Bilbo. But won't you get cold?
I asked. He slightly shivered and shook his head. I rolled my eyes and pulled him closer to me, under his blanket. He blushed and sat still, not expecting that to happen. Then Thorin stood up.
- Now everyone, we have to rest, so Nori and Dwalin are taking night watches tonight.
He said, and we all nodded. Every dwarf got up and found their place to sleep. They took their things and put them down, pulling the blankets out. I looked around, embarrassed. I didn't have anything with me, except my phone, headphones and clothes that I was wearing.
Everyone lay down under their blankets and went to sleep (not Nori, of course, cause he took the first watch). I just sat there under Bilbo's blanket, while he walked away for a moment. I closed my eyes, feeling sleep overtaking me, but I heard soft talking.
I opened my eyes and saw Gandalf and Bilbo walking my way. My eyes were nearly closed, but I managed to keep them open.
Bilbo had a little backpack on his shoulder and a rolled blanket in his hand. They had smiles on their faces. I felt a soft hand on my shoulder.
- (Y/n)?
I heard the hobbit saying. My eyes flew open, and I quickly looked at him.
- Come on... I have a blanket for you and some useful things.
He said softly and helped me get up. We took a few steps away from the place I was sitting. He put the backpack on the ground and sat down. I follwed his actions and looked at him.
- Now.. lay down and try having a nice sleep. If you need anything, then I will be right beside you.
He said, smiling kindly and sweetly. I nodded, not having any power left in me. I lay down and covered myself with a blanket.
- Goodnight, Mr. Baggins...
I whispered and closed my eyes. I heard Bilbo chuckle.
- Goodnight...
He said quietly, and I fell asleep.
••
I woke up to some loud talking and sun hitting my face. The morning breeze was pretty cold. I covered my head with a blanket, shivering. I groaned and moved, so I was now laying on my side. I listened to what dwarves were saying, and of course Thorin was talking the loudest.
- We need to keep moving! We don't have much time! Wake this lass up!
He said, and I quickly jumped out of my cover.
- I'm awake!
I said loudly, and everyone looked at me. I blushed embarrassed and looked at them. I saw that there was no sight of Gandalf. They started packing their things, and I got out of my blanket. I quickly packed myself up in the backpack I got from Bilbo and put it on my back. Gandalf then joined us.
We walked for 2 hours, and we heard a sound coming out from the deeps of the forest. We all looked in the direction of the sound. Bilbo took a few steps before me, holding his sword and his hand before my chest. I blushed and smiled, but I was also slightly shaking with fear. Then, a wizard in a brown robe jumped out from the leaves on his rabbit harness. It was Radagast. I sighed with relief. Everyone put theirs weapons down. Gandalf stood before him, and they started talking.
The hobbit turned around to face me, his cheeks pinkish. I smiled widely, and he smiled back, so warmly and so kindly...
"I could melt, because of him. His smile is so pretty.."
I thought and gently ruffled his soft and pretty hair.
- Ay!
He shouted, and I giggled. He scrunched his nose and narrowed his eyebrow, but he didn't look super angry. He crossed his arms on his chest, and I bent down a bit with a smile.
- Aww.. Bilbo.. don't be angry at me... I'm thankful that you wanted to protect me..
I said, and he chuckled and let his hands fall down.
- Fineeee..
He groaned, and this time, I chuckled. I straighted and looked at two wizards. Radagast had a very scared look on his face, but Gandalf seemed to calm him down a bit.
- Company! We will have to fight, Radagast saw a few orcs not far away from here. I'm sure they are looking for us.
Gandalf said loud enough for everyone to hear. I gulped when we heard wargs' howl. Thorin took responsibility for the fight and told everyone what to do. He walked up to me and handed me a knife.
- Thanks..
I said quietly, and he nodded.
We walked a bit forward, but then we saw an arrow nearly shooting Dori's head. Kíli quickly took out his bow and shot back at the orc, killing him. We started running to get out of the orcs' sight, but they were too fast. Thorin stopped and punched a warg's legs with his axe. The creature fell on the ground, stopping with his face, and it made the orc that was riding it fall forward on the Bifur's spear. Gandalf and Radagast defented themselves with theirs sticks and magic. Dwarves were fighting orcs with their weapons.
I was slightly paralyzed, but when one of the orcs attacked me, I cut his throat and kicked him away from me. I was shocked at my own action, but smiled proudly to myself. I helped a few dwarves to get away from orcs grasps.
When I was helping Bofur out, I didn't see a warg behind me, and Bilbo jumped at me, pushing me away from the dangerous creature. We fell down hard on the ground. The hobbit was lying on top of me. I looked at his face, and he looked up at me concerned. I blushed, and so did he. He fastly got up and held his hand out for me. I took his hand, and he helped me get up. I nodded and looked up from him. I saw an orc behind Bofur that was going to attack the dwarf. I throw my knife at the orc's head. The dwarf looked at me and smiled warmly, but quickly went back to fighting.
I looked back at the hobbit, but he was no longer there. He was fighting side by side with Thorin now. I ran to the orc that I "shot" and grabbed my knife.
After a bit of fighting, we killed every orc we could.
- Let's get going! We have to move from this place so orcs don't attack us again!
Gandalf said and made his way to the front of the company. Radagast got on his rabbit harness and drove away to mislead remaining creatures. We fastly walked near the hills in the forest, searching for a good hiding, resting place. Then I saw a little cave covered with bushes.
- Here!
I said and pointed at a cave. Gandalf nodded, smiling. We all ran into the little ground curving, and sat down behind bushes. Everyone sat close to each other in a circle. A sweet hobbit was on my left, and Balin on my right. Bilbo was leaning on my side as I was on his. This brought comfort to us in this stressful situation. We heard a really quiet and muffled howl from far away. Kíli and Fíli sighed in relief.
- Mr. Baggins, as our bugler, you should check if there aren't any enemies nearby.
Thorin said, and Bilbo shivered, straightening. I put my hand on hobbit's shoulder in a comforting manner. He looked at me and smiled. The hobbit got up and climbed on a hill behind us.
And again, Gandalf started talking with Thorin about our journey.
••
The journey went on and on. I didn't plan to go back home. From time to time, Gandalf would come up to me and ask me if I don't want to go back to my world, but I always refused. Everyone was confused about it, but I was rather ignoring the subject or answering them that "my life there was boring". They seem to understand that.
Since the day I got in Middle-Earth, Bilbo has always been curious about my life. I thought that it was just normal for hobbits, but now I think it's something else. Like he actually wants to know me, like know why am I like this and how I am. His kindness is so amazing about him. He doesn't care how much others hurt him, he will still help them. That's what I adore about him the most. He is sweet and innocent, and his smile could warm up my days. He is actually perfect. He is all I could ask for. He is the reason why I haven't lost my mind yet. We had an amazing friendship, since I got in this world, so I thought that we had no secrets, but I didn't want to ruin it by telling him how I really felt.
We were sitting on our camping spot. Dwarves were dancing and singing around the fire while I sat with Bilbo on my side. Wide smiles creeping on our faces when we saw a happy scene before us. Fíli walked up to us and pulled his hand out for me. I took it with a grin. He pulled me closer to the fireplace, and we danced to their singing. I was laughing uncontrollably, and I saw a big grin on Fíli's face.
When the song finished, I was out of breath. I went back to Bilbo to sit down beside him.
- That was fun!
I said, giggling. He hummed and smiled at me politly. He scrunched his nose and looked into the distance. I looked at him, concerned.
- Did something happen, Bilbo?
I asked, putting my hand on his back. He shook his head and slightly blushed. I had a confused look on my face. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts.
I sat in front of him, so he finally looked at me. He seemed surprised, and his already pink cheeks changed colour to a darker one.
- I know something happened, Bilbo.. You know you can tell me everything, right?
He looked down and nodded.
- I just.. I..
He mumbled and sighed.
- I just- I really like you, (Y/n). Not in a friend way... I'm sure that it will ruin our friendship, and you probably don't feel the same-
I cut him off by grabbing his face in my hands and rubbing my thumb on his cheek.
- Who said I don't like you back?
I asked, and his eyes widened, his body stiffened. His ears turned red, and the colour started growing even on his neck. I giggled at the sweet hobbit and slowly leaned in. I gently kissed him. It took him a few seconds to kiss me back, but when he did, he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me onto his lap. I yelped in surprise, but ran my hands through his soft hair, and he sighed dreamily.
We heard loud clapping and whistling behind us, and we pulled apart. I looked around my shoulder and saw the company cheering.
- Gandalf won the bet again!
I heard Ori say and saw small purses being thrown to the wizard. Gandalf smiled widely and nodded his head to us. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Bilbo. His whole face was dark red again. I nuzzled my nose against his and pressed our foreheads together.
- Ignore them, sweetheart. They're just jealous..
I said and kissed my hobbit again. He quickly kissed back with a smile on his lips.

Bofur: Hey, I say we go down there, kick Y/n's door in, and let them know that we’re in town.
Bilbo: That ain’t the way we do things here. We may have to go in there and run a con, drop a bug, do the smooth talking.
Bofur: Okay, you come with me, you do the smooth talking, let’s go.
Bilbo: No, we just can’t go in there and kick down Y/n's door. We need a plan.
Bofur: Well who makes the plans?
Bilbo: Thorin.
Bofur: Thorin, what's the plan?
Thorin: You guys are gonna go down there, kick Y/n's door in, let them know you’re in town.

〘 Thorin Oakenshield 〙
It’s Over!
Tumblr media
A/N: Haven’t been on this account for a while! I think it’s time I get back into writing, and what better way than to start off writing with Thorin Oakenshield! Thank you so much for 700 followers!
Warnings: Angst, Thorin through his dragon sickness.
━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ♛ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━
“Am I not the King?” Thorin yelled, his voice echoing through the newly reclaimed Erebor. A lump formed in my throat as I looked down at the pavement; smooth and cold under my feet.
I had just woken up and I’m already being yelled at. I had had enough of this! My hands balled into fists as I fought back the tears threatening to spill. Balin stepped forwards then, and I had almost forgotten he was beside me to begin with. He placed a comforting hand in my shoulder and I look at him with teary eyes and smile weakly.
All this began with me asking him if he could come to bed tonight, seeming he hadn’t come to bed at all the past few nights. His chambers were luxurious but it was cold and too big for one person. Being a human, we always preferred to be outside rather than being cooped up in a mountain. I didn’t mind though, as long as I was welcome to stay at Erebor, that’s where I would stay.
A sigh fell from my lips as I gave up trying to fight with Thorin, he wasn’t budging and something about being surrounded by all this gold was making him sick in the head.
“It doesn’t matter, if he doesn’t want to spend time with me I might as well go back home.” I spoke to Balin, wanting Thorin to hear and be scared by the fact I was thinking about going home. I really didn’t want to go home, but if that’s what it took for Thorin to come to his senses than so be it.
What Thorin said next made my heart sink into my stomach. “Go then, go back home because I don’t ever want to see you again! Our courtship is over!”
“Thorin!” Balin exclaimed loudly, his hand slipping from my shoulder as he took the steps up to Thorin sitting on his throne. “Don’t say that about Y/N, she’s been nothing but supportive and helpful to us, to you! She helped us reclaim Erebor and without her we wouldn’t have been able to do such a thing.”
My gaze met Thorin’s, his once loving blue eyes had turned dark and unrecognisable. I wanted to believe the old him was in there somewhere but I couldn’t find it.
I tried my best not to cry, I really did, but a single tear fell down my cheek as I managed to keep my eyes on him. “Fine,” My voice shaky as the realisation came down on me - Thorin didn’t want to court me any longer. “I’m going back home then, and trust me Thorin, you won’t ever see me again.”
I spun on my heels, Balin calling out to me but I simply kept walking. My feet made a quick left where I almost smacked into someone, a gasp falling from my lips. I look up and see the whole Company standing there, Dwalin standing first.
They all had this look on their face, they were upset… upset that their once future queen was now leaving them. Tears filled my eyes again, this time I had no strength to hold them back and Bofur realised this and bought me into a hug, rubbing my back gently.
“I’m sorry, I-I can’t do this anymore… not with who he has become… I can’t.” I whispered the last part as all my strength and energy had simply vanished. “I really hope you guys have the best time here, I really do. I really want you guys to be at peace, but my peace isn’t here… not anymore.”
“To hell with him,” Dwalin spoke then. “You can be at peace without him, he clearly doesn’t want ya but that don’t mean you can’t stay here.” He had this fury in his eyes, more so than ever before.
I was stuck, I wanted to be here, I did, but I knew deep down it would kill me to live with Thorin and not be with him.
“I-I… I can’t, I’m sorry…” It hurt me.
Dwalin took a moment before he nodded his head. “I understand ya. We just… we’ve just grown to love ya like our queen.” He head hung, clearly sad but not wanting to show it.
I didn’t hesitate to hug him, he seemed stiff but he soon relaxed into the hug. “I’ll miss you and your grumpiness.” I laughed, trying to make everyone a bit happier. “I truly thought you wanted to kill me when we first met, but I now know you really want to kill everyone, not just me.”
He laughed at that, as did some others, but some did not. Fili and Kili both had a somber look to them. “We’ll miss you Auntie,” Kili said, bringing me into a hug.
I wanted to tell him I wasn’t his ‘Auntie’ any longer, but I didn’t want to make him feel bad so I smile at him and kissed his forehead. That’s when I heard a shout from Thorin who was still talking with Balin.
“Right,” I said then, trying my best not to feel sad anymore. “My bag is in Thorin’s room, I’m going to grab that and go while he is here.” I didn’t want to see him right now. I mean, I wanted to, but not like the way he is now.
I looked at the Company once more, tears coming to my eyes again, but I turned so none of them could see me and began to walk.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Someone snarled, grabbing my arm and yanking me to their body harshly. I winced, and out of instinct, I pushed them away. Hair fell in my face as I stumbled back into Bofur.
Thorin glared down at me, going to grab me again but I moved away. “No Thorin, you wanted me gone and that’s what I’m doing… going! You and your stupid gold filled mountain is yours and when you finally come to your senses, I hope you are filled with so much regret and guilt possible! You are changed Thorin!” I laughed then, tears streamed down my face. “You know I’m glad you said you didn’t want to court me anymore because I don’t love you! Not anymore!”
It was a lie, I loved him and I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving him.
“You can have your stupid coat back, you can have your stupid bead back too!” I grabbed the bead securing the courting braid in my hair and threw it at Thorin. It bounced off his chest and to the floor where it rolled and stopped somewhere off the side. “Goodbye Thorin.” I grumbled and turned on my feet and ran off towards his chambers.
The heavy and luxurious dress Thorin insisted I wore the night before fluttered behind me as I ran. I felt like I was suffocating in it, I wanted to tear it off.
When I got to his chambers I quickly packed my things, not wanting to see him again, making sure to leave the fur coat he had given me to keep warm on his bed.
The silence was deafening as I packed, tears sliding down my cheeks. I don’t know how I would get back home, perhaps I would ask the people of Laketown to let me use a boat in exchange for some gold. With all the gold in this mountain, I would take some for myself; it’s what I deserved after all.
Loud boots filled the atmosphere then and they gradually got louder. My eyes widened as I realised the familiar sound of Thorin nearing. I panicked and grabbed my belongings and hid behind the cabinet to not be seen, wondering what he would do when he was alone with me… I didn’t want to know the hurt I would go through.
“Y/N!” I held my breath as Thorin entered the room and I could see him staring at something… the coat on the bed. “Where are you?” He sounded distant, like he was talking to himself.
He sat on the bed, grabbing the coat and bringing it to his face, like he was smelling it. My eyebrows knitted together in confusion.
As he bought the coat down and I saw tears in his eyes. “Fuck, what have I done?” I wanted to come out, but I decided to stay hidden for a little while to see what he would do. The coat was thrown to the floor, and his hand covered his face and a broken sob came from his throat.
My feet moved beneath me against my will and they moved over to where Thorin was sitting at the edge of the bed. Tears filled my eyes as my hand reached up to move a piece of hair away from his face. He jumped, grabbing my arm and looking up at me.
“Y-Y/N?” He asked, his blue eyes red and puffy. “I-I’m so sorry.” He voice broke as he nuzzled the side of his face into my warm palm.
He sobbed then and kissed the inside of my wrist while his other arm snaked around my waist and bought me close to his body. “Thorin…” I started.
“Forgive me, please forgive me.” He cried, “I didn’t mean… anything. I didn’t-“
“Thorin.”
“Please, I’m sorry.”
“Thorin shut up for a minute.” He stopped, looking at me with teary eyes and his bottom lip quivered slightly. “You have been the biggest asshole to me, and for what? Gold? The throne? The stupid Arkenstone?”
“I’m-“
“No, you’re not getting forgiven Thorin. You didn’t realise the damage you’ve done to me, to our relationship.” I could feel his fingers playing at the string holding my dress together. “Thorin, you hurt me.” I mumbled as I wiped away fresh tears.
“Amrâlimê, I will do anything to make it up to you.” He whispered, both his hands running up and down my sides. I didn’t trust me voice and just nodded as he bought me closer and wrapped his arms around me.
I nuzzled into his neck and sighed, relaxing against his warm skin. I pulled away then, grabbing the sides of his face, noticing the crown still on his head. I frowned and grabbed it, taking it off his head and throwing it across the room. I smile warmly as I saw the same loving glint of Thorin’s eyes looking at me, grabbing the sides of his face again and leaning in for a kiss.
He smiled into the kiss, his hands placed firmly on my hips. “Don’t do this again, it’s your last warning.” I spoke against his lips.
“I won’t amrâlimê, I promise.” He said, not opening his eyes still, forehead against mine. “I will make you Queen under the mountain and treat you with such grace.”
You shifted in his embrace, “so…?”
“So what?”
“You don’t regret courting me?” I whispered.
Thorin pulled away from me slightly, “not ever.”

Bilbo Baggins x Wife! Reader
“My peonies!”
A/n: sorry for my small disappearance! Currently setting up to go to college so I’ve been working extra for tuition!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The dwarves had returned to the Shire after a long journey, eager to visit their old friend Bilbo Baggins. To their surprise, they found Bilbo happily married, his new wife named Y/n. She was a shy and reserved hobbit, not uncomfortable around dwarves per se, but she seemed anxious whenever she sat with them.
One sunny morning, the dwarves gathered at Bilbo's home when they heard a commotion outside. Y/n's voice rang out, filled with anger. "My peonies!" she yelled, catching everyone's attention. Bilbo tan outside while his friends rushed to the window to see what was happening. There, they spotted Lobelia Sackville-Baggins, a hobbit who had married into the Baggin family, standing in their front garden. More like on top of the garden.
As Lobelia walked away, she shouted, "They're marigolds!" Y/n's frustration grew, and she turned to Bilbo, her face flushed. "I think she's right," Bilbo admitted, inspecting the flowers. "I may not know my flowers, but I know a bitch when I see one." Bilbo's eyes widened at Y/n’s remark, but he quickly took her hand and led her back inside the house.
Y/n, feeling upset and overwhelmed, retreated to another room, seeking solace in her solitude as she often did when she was sad. Meanwhile, the dwarves gathered around Bilbo, curious about his wife's temperament. Bilbo simply shrugged and said, "She's shy but quick to anger, even quicker when it's Lobelia."
Later that day, Bilbo decided to comfort Y/n, knowing that she had missed three important hobbit meals - second breakfast, elevenses, and lunch. He found her hiding away, her sadness still evident in her eyes. With a gentle smile, he persuaded her to come out and eat with him and his friends.
Reluctantly she joined them at the table, her appetite diminished by her melancholy. However, as she sat among the dwarves and Bilbo, their warm company and jovial conversation began to ease her troubled heart. The dwarves shared stories of their adventures and made her laugh, lifting her spirits little by little.
Throughout the meal, Bilbo stayed close to Y/n, offering her comfort and understanding. He knew that her shyness made it difficult for her to open up, but in moments like these, he felt grateful for the deep bond they shared.
One evening, after a warm dinner, the group gathered by the fireplace in Bilbo's cozy hobbit-hole. Y/n was sitting next to Bilbo, feeling much more at ease in their presence. As they reminisced about their journey together and the battles they had fought, Y/n smiled warmly at the camaraderie between her husband and his dwarven friends.

Hi. Can you please write Bilbo x reader. With reader that is an elf and is scared of any relationship and attachment because doesn’t want to feel pain because of loosing someone?
Aww!! Of course!
Tumblr media
The battle had cleared, and the factions set aside their differences for the coming days. Too many losses on each side, and you were left to tend to your dead.
You had lost too many a friend in ally from Mirkwood, and you shared in Tauriel’s grief. Not that you had lost your love, but it was one too many close calls.
Still, it was a relief to find that sweet hobbit you had come to adore. Being surrounded by elves your entire life, you had come to appreciate the opposite of aloof sternness. Also, given that danger threw you two towards each other at every moment, it seemed not impossible to fall for him.
A good-natured heart, trustworthy (not to mention the countless times you saved him), the attraction between you and the hobbit was inevitable. Which is why it broke your heart to have this conversation.
Feeling him lean into your form, arm wrapped around him, you firmly gripped Bilbo’s hand. Trying to fight back the tears, you choked on your words.
“It’s not that I don’t care about you, I do. Immensely.”
He cut you off with a forlorn look, the slight sniffle breaking even more pieces of your heart.
“And I care about you too, y/n. It doesn’t have to be—.”
You choked back a sob at his pleas. “I—we almost died today, Bilbo. And even if there was a chance for us—I couldn’t live with myself.”
The words hung tensely in the air. The full lifetime of a hobbit would merely be a blink of an eye to you. But the memories would still linger with you
Not bearing to look back at him, you only felt a tighter squeeze of your hand as a small voice tried to encourage you, or rather to keep his fears at bay.
“Then we do it together. One day or century at a time.”
