Toothache - Tasm Peter Parker x reader
Title: Toothache
Pairing: Tasm Peter Parker x Reader | Also Peter 1, and Tony Stark
Word Count: 3,605
Summary: Reader comes home from the dentist kind of loopy, and some truths sort of come out.
Warnings: Fluff, Angst for about a paragraph
Notes: At first the I use Peter 1 and Peter 3, then a little later when you see "Pete" it is MCU Peter Parker, and "Peter" is Tasm Peter Parker. I think there are a few typos. And that I switch tense at some point. Or Point of View. I'm sorry. :(

“Peter!!” she exclaimed, skipping into the compound kitchen. Peter turns around from getting a cup of coffee.
“Y/N, hey. You’re cheery.” He looked her over. “Are you okay?”
“Oh.” Her face pulled down into a frown and Peter quirked an eyebrow. “You’re not the Peter I’m looking for.”
He chuckled.
“Where’s your, you know, variant? Your taller, awkwader, handsomer variant?”
“Uhhh….” Peter hesitated. “Well, did you say awkwader, and handsomer? Also, thanks,” he said sarcastically, but Y/N didn’t seem to notice.
Tony walked in just then. “Y/N? Oh, thank God, Peter, she’s with you.”
“Uh, Mr.Stark, is she…drunk?” Peter asked, unsure what the hell is going on.
“No, kid. We just came from the dentist. She got a tooth out. You didn’t the gauze? Shouldn’t Spider-Man be more observant, Pete?”
Peter peered down at Y/N. He finally caught a glimpse. “Well, it’s near the back of her mouth,” he said defensively.
“Kid, watch her,” Tony said exasperatedly. The woman went to touch the coffee pot, which was still boiling hot. Peter reached out just in time and grabbed her hand.
“No, no no,” he said, and used his grip on her hand to pull her over to the kitchen table. “Let’s sit down, huh?” He urged her into a chair and took a seat next to her.
“Thanks, kid. This stuff makes her damn loopy, but I’ve gotta get back to the lab. Will you keep an eye on her for me?” He handed Peter a piece of paper. “This is stuff she can’t have to eat or drink for at least forty-eight hours. So don’t give it to her.”
“Yeah, sure, Mr.Stark.”
“Thanks for taking me to the dentist.” Peter noticed a slight slur in her voice for the first time.
“You’re welcome, kid.” Tony called her kid, too, even though she was nearly thirty years old.
“Bye Tonyyyy!!” Y/N said in a sing-song voice. “Love you!!”
Peter stifled a giggle, and glanced up to see what Mr. Stark would do. He’d stopped just short of the doorway, pinched the bridge of his nose, but Peter caught a smile on his face. “Love you, too!” he called back and Y/N beamed. Peter laughed. If Y/N had not been loopy she would not have just shouted that out, but it seemed to lower her inhibitions a bit, and apparently act as a sort of truth serum. Peter knew she looked at Mr. Stark as a sort of father figure also, so that’s what all that was about. He chuckled again.
“You need anything?” he asked her. “Water, f-?
“Oh, but you are cute!” she blurted out suddenly and Peter furrowed his brow.
“What?”
“The other Peter is handsome, but you’re cute. You’re a good-looking kid, but you know, young. To me.”
Peter put his hand over his mouth to try to hide his laughter. This was more amusing than it had any right to be, he though. And kind of wondered how MJ and Ned would react to all this.
“Where’s Peter 3?” Y/N asked, using the title Peter 1 had given him to make her point clear. He knew exactly who she was talking about before, though.
“I’m not sure,” he said honestly, and Y/N’s face pulled into a frown.
“I love you too, you know?” she said suddenly, and Peter smiled again.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, you’re like my little brother and one of my best friends, too.”
“Really?” Peter felt his cheeks heat up just a little, and felt all warm inside. This was really sweet. He wondered if she would have said any of this otherwise?
“Really. And also, a little tiny bit like an older brother, too, which is weird since you’re twelve years younger, but you’re kind of protective of me.”
He laughed again. He was. “Yeah, I know.” There was even a part of him protective of the thought of her going out with anyone. Not because he was jealous, but because he thought she deserved the best, and he knew about her past, which was not pretty. He also knew that her and Peter 3 had a little bit of an unspoken thing going on.
“Should you be talking this much?”
“You saying I talk too much??”
“No, no! I just meant…with your tooth pulled…” he sighed. “Never mind.”
There was silence for a minute and Peter wondered if she was not talking because of his comment. He got up and filled a glass of water for her, then placed it on the table in front of her.
“Thanks, Pete.”
“You’re welcome.”
“So, you love Peter 3?”
“What??”
“You said you loved me, too, so I assumed you meant him, you know, because you said ‘too.” He didn’t actually assume that, but he wanted to see what she’d say.
“No! I meant ‘too’ because…because I said it to Tony. Right, did I?”
“You did,” Peter assured her.
“Oh, good.”
Another pause.
She gave him a hug (more like nearly fell off her chair and he caught her.)
“I love you, too, you know?” he said.
“Yeah?” she smiled sweetly up at him.
“Of course.”
Another voice. “Did I walk in on something?” Peter 3.
“Peter!!” Y/N practically squealed and launched herself off the chair out of Peter 1’s arms over to Peter 3.
“Crap,” Pete mumbled, but Peter caught her. She basically launched into him. He grunted and caught her around her waist, holding her up.
“Uh, hi, bub,” he said to her, peering down at her. He was tall, Peter thought.
“Hi!!” She beamed at him and he smiled back. To Pete it looked like she was barely holding herself up, and Peter pulled her to stand more steadily on her feet, and his arm wrapped securely around her waist.
“What’s going on?”
Pete wasn’t sure if he meant with her or their interaction, so he said anyway, “No, you didn’t interrupt anything.” He made sure he made it clear. He could tell Peter really cared about Y/N, in a much different way then Pete did.
Peter turned to Y/N.
“She got her tooth pulled,” Pete elaborated.
“Oh,” Peter cooed as he touched her cheek to push her face to the side so he could see.  Gentle, always so supremely gentle with her.
“I missed you,” Y/N said to him suddenly.
Pete watched his variant’s cheeks turn a light pink at the comment. “Y-you did?” he stuttered, his hand still resting soft against her cheek, her head still turned to the side as she peered up at him. She nodded as his hand cupped her cheek.
“Course!” She smiles again. “Always miss you when you’re gone. Worry about you, too,” she mumbles the last bit so it is nearly unintelligible, but the two Spider-Mans hear it fine.
Peter smiles fondly at the slight slur of her words, and his thumb rubs a feather light arc over her cheek. Pete feels kind of like he’s intruding on a very private moment.
“Hey, kid, I’m back, I just-“
Tony stopped short, his eyes landing on Peter and Y/N. His lips dipped down into a small frown as he looked over the scene. Pete knew that Tony didn’t necessarily trust his variant Peter 3, and since he saw Y/N as another daughter, Pete knew he was not so happy with this little unspoken thing that was so obviously there.
“Toonyyy!! Hiiiii!!!” Y/N smiled and slurred his name as she turned toward him, swaying a little. Peter’s left hand fell from her cheek and joined his other arm to wrap around her waist, holding her steady. Tony’s jaw tensed as he tracked the movement.
“Hey, kiddo, you doing okay?”
“Yeah,” she said. “Peter’s home!” She beamed at the last sentence.
Tony’s smile was tight. “I see that, kid. Hey, there.” He said the second part to Peter with thinly veiled tension.
“Mr. Stark,” Peter said politely, but his smile was a little tight, too.
Y/N leaned her head slowly to rest against Peter’s chest softly and sighed. Peter’s gaze shifted to her and his smile softened as he did. His hand began to raise from her waist. He hesitated, but it was like he couldn’t help himself, he had to do it. His hand rested on the back of her head and she closed her eyes as she sighed again.
“Tired, bug?” Peter asked in a soft voice, his fingers gently carding through her hair.
Pete again got the feeling of intruding on a private moment. Tony’s jaw tensed even more. Y/N nodded at Peter’s question. After many seconds, Tony cleared his throat. Pete wasn’t sure if it sounded more angry or awkward. He was thinking it tipped a little more to angry.
Y/N giggled softly.
“What?” Peter asked.
“You’re comfy.”
“We’re standing up.”
“You’re still comfy.” She snuggled into his chest a bit more and Peter blushed. Pete was pretty sure he blushed, too, and turned his head a little. Tony cleared his throat louder this time.
“Hey, you two. Over here.”
Peter turned toward Tony before Y/N did, his hand falling from her hair. Then she lifted her head and turned toward the billionaire, but laid it back against Peter’s chest, and his hand returned to its spot on the back of her head, gently twining his fingers through her hair.
“Mhm?” Peter said as his fingers carded through Y/N’s hair absentmindedly. Pete was almost sure he heard a noise something like a purr coming from her, but it was so quiet he only picked it up because of his enhanced hearing, and he was glad Mr. Stark couldn’t hear it.
“Y/N? Kid?”
She lifted her head off Peter’s chest a little, but still stayed close to him. And Peter’s hand did not move.
“Since you’re clearly feeling so sleepy – the meds must be getting’ to ya – why don’t we get to your room and to bed, okay?”
She nodded, but did not move from Peter’s arms. Tony raised his eyebrows. “Um…”
Y/N still didn’t move.
“It’s okay, Mr. Stark,” Peter said. “I can take care of her. I’ll get her to bed, make sure she’s okay.”
Pete was certain Mr. Stark clenched his jaw this time. He knew because he clenched his teeth so hard Pete could hear it, and he was sure that Peter could, too.
Pete felt bad for his variant. Peter didn’t do anything to Tony. Tony just didn’t trust him because he was new here, and he didn’t usually trust new people easily. But he should really cut Peter 3 some more slack. Pete also knew that the budding whatever-it-was between Peter and Y/N certainly wasn’t helping matters. Tony hated to see the young woman he looked it as another daughter falling for someone he distrusted. Pete knew he just didn’t want her to get hurt, that it came from a place of love, but still, it must have been so hard on Peter. Especially because, if you asked Pete, it was so clear that Peter would never hurt Y/N. Never. He was pretty sure he’d do anything to protect her, and that he just wanted her safe, taken care of, and happy. He’d probably lay down his life for her in a heartbeat. But Tony hadn’t quite gotten there yet.
“Stark?” Peter’s voice pulled Tony out of whatever spiral of thoughts he was going down. Pete was nervous btu weirdly curious to know what Tonys response to this would be.
He seemed to be chewing on the inside of his lip for a minute before his mouth formed – seemingly reluctantly – into a tight-lipped smile. Pete waited anxiously to hear his reply.
“Kid?” he said, and hid gaze flicked to Y/N instead of Peter. She didn’t seem to be listening too closely, her eyes a half closed and a bit unfocused. “Kid?” Tony repeated. She opened her eyes to look at Tony, and blinked against the tiredness taking over her body. “You okay with that? With Peter helping you?”
Her lit up visibly and she nodded. “Yesh, yea- yesh, damn!” The word wouldn’t come out right and Peter grinned affectionally. “Yeah, I am.”
Pete half expected Tony to argue, but he didn’t. He just nodded curtly. “Alright.” He looked to Peter 3. “You better take good care of her.”
“Of course, I will, Stark.” He looked down at Y/N. “Alright bub, come on.”
She peered up at him, a confused look covering her face. “To your room. You need some rest.” The look of confusion was erased, and she nodded, rubbing her eyes.
“Okay, come on.” Peter moved the hand on her hair so his arm was anchored behind her shoulders, then crouched down to anchor another behind her knees. She stared up at him with her brow quirked.
“What are you do-“
Her question was answered as Peter lifted her off of her feet and into his arms. He did so slowly and carefully, it looked like he was trying not to jostle her in the slightest. She gasped softly and her arms wrapped round his neck.
“Oh,” she said softly. “You know, you don’t have to carry me, Peter.” Pete saw a blush bloom over Y/N’s cheeks as she said this. Peter grinned down at her.
“I know, bub, but I can, so I might as well, right? Hate to see you lose your balance and fall, wouldn’t we?” His grin was teasing and Y/N narrowed her eyes at him playfully, her nose scrunching up in the process. He laughed, and leaned his forehead against hers. She raised her eyebrows and the color in her cheeks deepened.
“I won’t talk you out of this, huh?”
“Nope.”
“Mm. Okay, Peter.” She seemed to almost sigh out the last words and laid her head upon his shoulder as he pulled away.
Pete smiled as he peered at them, trying not to seem too creepy about it (even though they were right in front of him). Until he turned his eyes on Mr. Stark. His smile faded off of his face, replaced with a frown on the edge of a pout. Mr. Stark was looking at the clearly lovestruck pair with disapproving eyes.
“See you later, Tony,” Y/N slurred as Peter carried her away. He trudged to the kitchen table where Pete sat as the two rounded the corner. Pete waited a few minutes until he heard a door shut until he tried to gather his words before addressing the billionaire.
“Mr. Stark…” his voice trailed off and Tony turned to look at him.
“What is it, kid?”
Pete tapped his fingers on the table before answering. “Why don’t you like Peter 3, Mr. Stark?”
Tony finally looked at his surrogate son. He sighed. “Kid, I just…it isn’t exactly that I don’t like him, I just…I don’t trust him. I don’t know him.”
Pete knew what Mr. Stark was getting at, but he still couldn’t entirety get behind his line of thinking. “He’s a good person. I mean, maybe he’s made some mistakes, but who hasn’t? He helped me a lot. He helped save the whole city in this world. Not to mention in the one he originally came from. He’s…he is a lot like me. I mean, he is a variant of me.” He smiled, then paused, a confused look drawing his eyebrows together. “Or…I’m a variant of him?” His mouth pulled down to a frown and rubbed at his forehead. “Ugh, I don’t know. Sometimes that multiverse stuff makes my brain hurt.”
Tony cracked a smile. “I just…I don’t want anyone to hurt her, Pete. You know about her last, her only, relationship, right?”
“Yeah, Mr. Stark, I do.”
Tony nodded, pursed his lips, then continued. “Then you get why I’m so protective of her? Especially of her in any sort of relationship? I know she’s a grown woman, kid, I know, but it’s been almost a decade since she was in any sort of relationship and the last guy treated her like trash, I just…I don’t want that to happen to her again.”
Pete was a little surprised that Mr. Stark was opening up this much, but he was glad. “Peter would never do that to her,” he said with confidence.
Tony gave him a lopsided, sort of sad grin. “Yeah? You sound super sure of yourself on that one, kid. I want to be that sure, too.”
“You should be.”
Tony leaned a little closer. “How come?” It wasn’t said with malice, it was said with genuine curiosity.
“You know…you know what happened, right, Mr. Stark? When Peter was eighteen; when he was my age?”
Tony’s face falls. “I overheard it, yeah. The basics of it.”
I don’t know that he needs to know the full story, or that I should really be telling him, so I don’t go into details.
“It was his girlfriend, right?” He says it so quiet.
“Yeah, it was.” That’s all I say. Silence for a few seconds, then I say, “That’s how I know.”
Tony’s eyes snap up to mine. “He lost…he’s lost people, but he lost someone before…and…well, he blames himself. I think he’s just started not to. So, he’s letting her in, and you can see how much he cares about Y/N, can’t you, Mr. Stark?”
He sighs, begrudgingly. “Yeah, yeah I can, kid,” he admits.
“Well, after that…after what happened, that’s how I know. He would never treat her like trash. He’ll protect her, he’ll support her, he’ll take care of her. I know it. You should give him more of a chance. Please?”
Another sigh, but this one is for dramatic effect, I know it is. “Yeah, kid. You’re right, I know you are.” He hesitates. “I hate it when that happens.” He grins teasingly at me. “But, I won’t take my eye off him entirely. You know I’d be keeping a little bit of an eye on whoever it was she seemed to have a thing with.”
I laugh. “Fair enough, Mr. Stark.”
***
“Here we are, bug.” Peter said as they walked into Y/N’s room.
“Mhm,” she replied sleepily, not even looking up. They made it a little farther in the room, and then she opened her eyes. “My room,” she mumbled, still with a slight slur.
“Yup, your room, bub.”
“Mmmm. Thank you.” She cuddled deeper into him, her head buried in the crook of his neck and shoulder.
“Hey, keep your arms around me, okay? Hold on. Don’t let go.”
She blinked at him, and he repeated his words. “Y/N. Please.”
“Okay.” She nodded and tightened her grip.
“Good girl, there you go.”
He used his now free hand to pull back the covers on her bed, but quickly curled his arm back underneath her shoulders, in case in her mildly drug induced state she decided to let go for some reason. Gentle, so gentle, he laid her down on her bed.
He grinned. “You can let go now, bub,” he said softly.
“Oh! Sorry…” She released her arms from around his neck.
“Don’t be, it’s okay.”
He smoothed her hair back from her face and she closed her eyes. “Feels nice,” she mumbled. Peter felt a light blush across his cheeks.
But he sat down on the edge of the bed next to her and kept stroking her hair, lightly scratching her scalp sometimes. He swore she nearly purred at one point. He grinned, and his blush deepened. After a few minutes, it looked like she’d dozed off, so Peter removed his hand and was just getting up when he heard her stir. She grumbled and reached for his wrist.
“What’s wrong?” he whispered.
“Don’t go,” she said, and her voice sounded so small in that moment. “Please, Peter?”
Maneuvering so his wrist was out of her tiny grip, he interlaced their fingers together instead. “Okay,” he said. “I’m not going anywhere, love.”
“Promise?”
“Yeah.” He nodded. Of course, he promised. She had no idea; he would always be there for her. “I promise.”
She smiled groggily. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
He pulled his hand out of hers but when he started to walk away, she grabbed it again. “It’s okay,” he said. “I’m just going right over there.” He pointed to an arm chair in her room.
“Can you stay with me…here?” Now her cheeks tinged peach as she gestured to the bed.
“Oh,” Peter said. “I-uh- are you sure that’s okay?”
She nodded, tugging on his hand but of course not moving him even an inch. “Please.” The slight crack in her voice had him almost scrambling to climb in next to her.
“Okay,” he whispered as he nodded. “Can you scoot over, bug?” She nodded and wiggled herself backwards. Peter kept an eye out to make sure she didn’t wiggle backwards right off the bed. He crawled in next to her, and gently pulled her into his arms just in case in her drug induced state she did back all the way off the bed and fall to the floor. For a second, he’s worried he’s overstepped a little, but she just scoots closer to him and snuggles into his chest. He lets out a breath and pulls her a little closer to him, burying his face in her hair and breathing in the scent of her shampoo. She sighs happily, and he resumes running his fingers through her hair and his light scratching of her scalp.
When he looks down again, she is fast asleep. A soft smile spreads across Peter’s face. Whatever this unspoken thing is between them seems to have gone to another level. He hopes this will continue, but for now, he is happy to hold her as she sleeps.

avengers x teen!reader headcanons
The Avengers are definitely reluctant to add another teenager to the team. Having Peter is great but has been a big adjustment, as they had to train him and protect him, less they face the wrath of Aunt May.
However, you were a compelling case, with your extensive abilities. You didn’t have many other options as to where to go and you hit it off with Peter right off the bat, working very well together as a pair. So, they took you in.
Tony worked with you on designs for your suit, Natasha and Steve trained you in combat (which meant you were going on morning runs with Steve and Sam. How fun . . . Though Sam could be convinced to give you piggy back rides, and you became Clint’s personal arrow-picker-upper. If you had powers, Wanda would definitely help you manage them.
Peter was naturally in tune to science, which meant you hung around the lab with him and Bruce a lot. It became a nice time to get your homework done, as Bruce would definitely help you with that. Sometimes you acted as Bruce’s and Peter’s assistant with their experiments.
Bruce was also a very good listener and your go-to person to vent to about your life’s problems (when Peter wasn’t around).
One of the conditions to be on the team was that you didn’t lapse in schoolwork, so they were very on top of that and your grades. Tony even offered to go to parent-teacher meetings. Any one of them were ready to go to your teachers or principal if anything happened.
Natasha would routinely check in with you to make sure that you weren’t being bullied.
Pepper also became a motherly figure, as she cared very much about you and Peter. She’d offer you a Stark Industries internship.
Movie nights were chaotic, but absolutely the best. It was hard for anyone to agree, so the team had a system where they’d rotate who got to pick the meeting. Sam and Peter were also not allowed to make popcorn after many unfortunate incidents. Most of the time you fell asleep late into the night and one of the Avengers carried you to bed (they’d never admit this, but that also became an argument).
It was during a movie night when Peter realized he liked you romantically. You fell asleep during a movie, your head on his shoulder. Peter swore he never experienced something so precious before. He was adamant to keep your peace, glaring at anyone who dared to talk.
The team found your growing romance to be adorable and often teased the two of you about it. The only people who didn’t tease you were Bruce, Pepper, and Thor (because he didn’t really understand how to effectively tease).
If Flash messed with you, Peter was always on top of it. He’d always protect you.
Steve was also always making sure that you knew right from wrong. He’d give long speeches about how it wasn’t right to smoke, drink, do drugs, etc.
Then Thor gave you Asgardian alcohol once, not realizing how bad that was considering you’re both human and underage. That was a mess. Peter having to hold your hair back when you vomited and multiple Avengers escorting you to bed. Thor got an earful about it.
Clint was one of the ones who better understood you, seeing as he had experience with his own kids. He was always good at mediating and defusing the tension.
Laura also adored you, you were her favorite babysitter for the kids. Whenever they went on date night, they’d drop the kids off at the tower, and you would watch them (Peter would help when he wasn’t on patrol).
Patrolling with Peter was also very fun. More often than not he’d convince you to take a break, then swing you up on top of a roof to watch over the city and the sky.
On multiple occasions, KAREN would rat the two of you out to Tony, but he was never mad. He just wanted to know all about the “date”.
Prom was also very fun. Honestly, the whole team would want to come pick out outfits with you and Peter. They took many, many pictures on the night of. Peter also teared up when he saw you. He thought you were stunning.
Of course, you guys had a curfew, but it was alright. You and Peter had a fantastic night. All he wanted to do was dance and hold you.
You had Happy wrapped around your finger. You could really convince him to drive you anywhere you wanted to go.
You also managed to get an internship at the Sanctum Santorum, learning more about magic under Doctor Strange and Wong’s guidance. The Avengers weren’t particularly thrilled, as they were worried about you being hurt, but understood your want to explore.
You really wanted to see all the areas of being a hero. Clint taught you archery and Natasha taught you how to be a spy. You’d listen to Natasha and Clint’s spy stories for hours. Peter would have to pry you away.
Peter always insisted on having date nights and would go all out, making every date special. He’d do anything to make you happy.
And so would all the Avengers. They loved seeing you smile, it brightened up their whole world and made the team stronger.

You’ve been on the run for a year now with Steve, Sam and Natasha. A few weeks after you all escaped the Raft, Clint and Scott decided to make a deal with Ross to get house arrest because being on the run and away from their families was too hard for them.
The five of you that remained went from safe house to safe house while doing as many missions as you could, never staying in one place too long and still trying to help people to the best of your capabilities, with Wanda disappearing from time to time to spend time with Vision.
Lately, though, you’ve been noticing Steve’s been a little fidgety, even disappearing here and there for a couple of days at a time.
You want to ask him what’s going on, but you don’t want to be nosy so you wait for if and when he’s ready to talk about it.
And that time comes one random afternoon as you’re all sitting around in the living room of the safe house you’re in, Wanda being off with Vision.
“Hey, can I talk to you?” He sits next to you and you nod, putting down your book to give him your full attention. “I know you’ve all been wondering where I go every now and then, and I’m glad you didn’t push it. But I’m ready for you guys to know now.”
He addresses everybody before turning to you and looking straight in your eyes as he finishes. “Bucky’s awake.”
Your breath hitches in your throat and you can’t seem to find it in you to say anything more than “Oh.”
“Yeah. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner...” He looks actually sorry. “We just thought it would’ve been better to keep it as lowkey as possible.”
You nod and look at the floor, trying not to show your disappointment.
It makes sense. After all Steve is his best friend, his brother, his only family. You’re barely an acquaintance.
Right?
“He asked about you.” your eyes snap back to him. “He wanted you to be there, but he understood. He’s glad you’re safe.”
“From the government or from him?” you mumble and Steve gives you an apologetic look, but lets it go.
“The thing is, I kind of need to ask you a favor.” you narrow your eyes at him and he raised his hands in surrender. “It’s nothing bad, I swear!”
“Fine,” you sigh. “What do you want?”
“It’s just, the mission we’ve been planning is important…” he looks at the plans and footprints on the table. “And only three of us are needed for it.”
You think you see where this is going. “You want me to take over your part of the mission?!” you look at him like he grew three heads. How the hell can you take on the role of a supersoldier?
“No, of course not. That’s the thing.” he quickly clarifies. “I can’t be spared for this, and we know the mission is gonna last a while.”
“Where are you going with this, Rogers?” you’re just confused now.
“Could you look after Bucky for me?”
Oh. You try hard not to look too excited about the prospect of seeing Bucky again and spending time with him.
“Are you… sure that’s a good idea?” you ask him as coolly as you can.
“It’s not gonna be hard. You just need to keep an eye on him from a distance.” good thing you managed your expectations. “Shuri’s gonna be working with him and, when he’s ready, she’ll let you talk to him.” Okay, you’re excited again.
“Uhm,” you have to at least pretend to think about it, right? “I guess, if I’m not needed on the mission and you are, I could do you this favor.”
You fight a smile as you make the mistake to look at Sam, that’s grinning, knowing full well how you feel about Bucky. You groan and roll your eyes, but he says nothing, thankfully.
“Thank you.” Steve lays a hand on your arm and smiles at you. “This means a lot to me.”
“I know.” you smile back, then hug him.
“Okay,” he says as you let go “we’re leaving tomorrow morning.”
You nod and get up to finish packing the bag you were getting ready for the mission in a few days.
After you’re done, you go back to the living room to spend one last night with Sam, Steve and Nat as you don’t know how long it’s gonna be before you see them again.
The next morning you wake up thankful you’re not hungover and get your stuff with Steve’s into the jet, Sam and Nat accompanying you out to say the last goodbyes.
“I’ll miss you.” you tell Nat as you hug her “Please don’t cut your hair again while I’m gone.”
“I’ll try not to.” she laughs, hugging you back. “I’ll miss you too, Crazy.”
“Try not to miss me too much.” Sam tells you as he hugs you too, making you roll your eyes with a smile.
“Sure, birdbrain.” He groans at the nickname “Be careful.”
He nods and, after they say goodbye to Steve too, the two of you board the quinjet and make your way to Wakanda.
You are met by Princess Shuri and King T’Challa himself. You hug Steve goodbye as he makes his way to visit Bucky before his mission and to tell him he probably won’t be coming by again for a while.
Shuri and T’Challa, who insisted you drop their formal titles, give you a tour of the palace and then take you to a guest room that’s basically a suite, and you’re shocked to find out you’ll be living here in the palace for the duration of your stay.
As promised you look after Bucky from a distance.
Every morning you and Shuri get escorted to Bucky’s hut where she works with him on his deprogramming as you and Ayo hang back.
Other than making sure he’s okay, there’s not really much for you to do so you take this time to get to know the people. It astonishes you how easy you get welcomed by the community.
You’re taught their customs by the locals, you pick up some Xhosa, not a lot but enough to have conversations and you’re even taught to fight by the Dora Milaje. Mostly Okoye and even Ayo since the two of you cleared the air after the whole airport fight.
She apologized profusely about the wound she inflicted in your arm, which has been fully healed for months now, and you assured her it was okay. You understood she was simply doing her job and admired her passion and determination to protect her king.
Also, it turns out you broke a couple of her ribs, which you also apologized for, so you two decided to just call it even.
You got comfortable fast; dressing with their clothes, participating in their festivities and playing around with the children everyday as Shuri does whatever she does with Bucky.
You’re always careful to not get too close to be seen while still being close enough to keep an eye on them.
After their sessions Shuri always brings you up to speed and then you report to Steve to let him know Bucky’s doing good.
You’re making your way to Shuri’s lab where you’ve met her everyday for the couple of months that you’ve been in Wakanda.
“Good morning, Princess.” you tell her, bowing when you stop in front of T’Challa. “My King.”
“Stop that.” he swats at you as both you and Shuri laugh.
“Ready to go?” Ayo asks and you eye her suspiciously as she’s grinning like she does right before she makes a move that instantly knocks you on your ass during training.
“What are you up to?” you ask her but she just keeps on smiling.
“Today is the day, Agent.” Shuri tells you as smirks, knowing how you feel about the nickname.
“I’m not an agent of anything.” you roll your eyes, then register what she just said. “Wait, what do you mean, today’s the day?”
“Sergeant Barnes is ready.” she says and you can’t help the smile that comes to your face, which falls with a groan when you see them all smirking at each other at your reaction.
“Let’s just go.” you say as you turn around and start walking with Shuri and Ayo.
“Have fun!” T’Challa yells after you.
“Your order is my command, Your Highness!” you yell back and you all laugh at the loud groan he lets out.
As always, Shuri gets closer while you and Ayo hang back and she walks to the shore of the lake in front of the hut and then stops there.
You see three kids run out of Bucky’s hut, laughing, and the princess turns around as they run up to her and hug her.
“Are you playing around with that man again?” she asks, laughing. “You’re teasing him again.” she keeps teasing them as they chant ‘no’ between laughter and you can’t help but smile.
Bucky exits the hut and, like every other day, he takes your breath away. His sun-kissed skin, his Wakandan robes, his growing beard and the longer hair. The whole style just suits him.
You see him take a deep breath and then he gets closer to Shuri as the children run towards you giggling about the “Ingcuka Emhlophe”. [White Wolf]
“Uyayithanda Ingcuka Emhlophe?” you ask them. [You like the White Wolf?]
“Yena engaqhelekanga” one of the kids says and you laugh. [He’s strange]
“Kutheni ephulukene nengalo nje?” another one asks you. [Why is he missing an arm?]
You aren’t sure what to say, they are children after all, but you try your best.
“Kuba uyindoda ekhaliphileyo eyathi yenzakala xa inceda abantu.” [Because he is a brave man that was injured while helping people]
They all look at him in awe just as you hear Shuri say, “Sergeant Barnes.”
“Bucky.” he corrects her and you smile.
“How are you feeling today?” she asks him.
“Good. Thank you.” she smiles and motions towards you.
“Come. Much more for you to learn.” she says as she starts walking.
He takes a second to look out at the lake before following Shuri, but as soon as he spots you, he stops.
He stares as you’re giggling with the children that are now circling around you and dancing, and when you look towards Bucky again his eyes are already on you.
You blush a little at his intense gaze but he seems to snap out of it when your eyes meet his and he gets closer until he’s right in front of you.
“Sergeant.” you say, smirking.
“Doll.” he says, smirking back.
You smile at each other until Shuri clears her throat and you turn to look at her just to see both her and Ayo with a smirk of their own. You roll your eyes at them, but your smile stays on.
“Shall we?” Shuri says and starts walking, Ayo right behind her.
Bucky takes your hand and starts walking after Shuri too, pulling you with him, both of you feeling like nothing could wipe the smiles off your faces.

Y/n looking around the common room, with all of the Avengers talking, playing board games, and watching movies.
They sigh in content, finally feeling relaxed and safe.
Sam: What are you so smiley about L/n?
Y/n hums: Just happy is all
The others glance around at each other and smile. Y/n had been pretty new. Coming from a bad background like most of them. This was the first time they said something like that.
Tony: I think this calls for an Avengers pile.
Y/n's eyes widen in horror.
Y/n: Dude, I said I was happy, not wanting death.
Thor: To late!
All of the Avengers pile onto the couch with Y/n effectively trapping them.
Y/n struggles and tries to get away.
Y/n: Guuuuuuysssss! Get offah me! This sucks!
Nat hums: Bull
The others murmur agreements.
Not too long after Y/n gives up and just lets it happen.
Y/n: ..... okay, maybe this is nice
Peter: I knew you loved us!
Y/n half asleep but still sarcastic as ever: Don't tell my teammates. It'll go to their heads.
They chuckle, and after a while, they all drift off to sleep.
It was a sight to see for Maria the next morning. The Earth's Mightest Heros and most skilled people in a giant pile on the couch happily sleeping.

Forts, Fruit Snacks, & Flying
Tumblr media
Summary: How will Natasha react when she sees the footage of your daughter’s high flying escapades with Peter while you two were in Paris celebrating your anniversary?
Pairings: Natasha x reader, Yelena, Kate, Peter x reader (platonic).
Genre: Fluff
Word Count: 800
Warnings: None
A/N: @togrowoldinv suggested a fic where Natasha finds out about Mila’s flying with Peter in We’re a Family. This can also be read as a stand-alone story. I hope you enjoy it!
It was Wednesday afternoon. You and Natasha had been home for almost two weeks. Your anniversary in Paris now a cherished memory for both of you. You had gone back to work, and Nat, despite her semi-retirement, had been at the compound for the last three days training a couple of new recruits.
The meeting you were in was running long, and you were starting to worry about who was going to pick up Mila from preschool. You knew Nat wasn’t available for at least another two hours, so you text your sister-in-law.
You: Hey Yelena, I’m stuck at work and Nat is training recruits until 5 pm. Is there any way you can pick up Mila from preschool and bring her home? We should be home around 5:30 p.m.
Yelena: No problem! Peter, Kate Bishop, and I just finished an outreach event at the library. We’re only a couple blocks from her school.
You: Thank you! You’re the best sister-in-law ever. Tell Kate and Peter I say thank you as well. We’ll see you in a bit.
Mila had just picked up her purple unicorn backpack from her cubby when she caught sight of Yelena, Kate, and Peter by the door.
“Surprise, little spider!! We’re here to pick you up”, Yelena exclaimed.
“Where’s Mommy and Mama?” Mila asked, hugging the trio.
“They’ll be home soon. Meanwhile, we get to go home and play. What do you say?”
“Yay!”
*^~^*
After arriving home and getting Mila a snack, your daughter decided she wanted to build a blanket fort. Following some expert engineering, the four sat down inside the fort eating Welch’s Fruit Snacks.
Mila lokoed over at Peter, “Did you bring your flying suit with you?”
“Oh, not today, sweetheart. I’m sorry.”
Your little girl looks like she's about to cry when Kate interjects. “Mila, do you want to see the video of you flying with Peter when you stayed with us? I have it on my phone.”
She nods, and Kate tosses the video to the AirPlay on your big-screen TV. At that very moment, you and Natasha walked in the front door. Natasha’s eyes go wide as she takes in the 4k footage of your five-year-old daughter flying through the air on Spider-Man’s back, as Mila runs up to hug you.
“What the hell?!” Natasha shouted.
“Mama said a bad word,” your daughter tattled, pointing at Nat.
“Yeah, sweetie, that was a bad word… Why don’t we go unpack your backpack?” you suggested as your little girl ran to you.
“Don’t kill him”, you said with a smirk and a hand on her shoulder as you walk by with Mila in your arms.
Natasha is staring Peter down with a look that he’s only seen on missions. “Okay, I know what you’re thinking, Nat— Ms. Black Widow, um, Romanoff. But she was safe the entire time. I would never drop her. We put pillows down on the floor, and she had a blast.” Peter asserted.
“Peter, shut up,” Kate whispered.
“Good advice,” Nat remarked, taking a step toward Peter.
“Come on sestra, you know we did fun things like that all the time back in Ohio.” Yelena reasoned.
She is about to give it to Peter when she catches sight of her daughter’s face on the screen.
“Wee!! Faster, Uncle Peter!” Mila giggled.
Natasha’s heart melts at the sight of her carefree and happy little girl. Exactly how she always hoped Mila would grow up. She looked back at Peter without breaking her best Black Widow poker face.
“I have two things to say to you. One—never do that again unless she is in mortal danger, or you will be the one in mortal danger. Two—can you send me that video?”
“… I’m sorry, what?” Peter asks.
“Can you send me that video? I want it for her baby book.”
A look of relief washes over Peter’s face. “Oh, sure. Umm, Kate has it.” Peter said, pointing at the young archer.
Kate nods and sends Nat the video, her phone pinging in confirmation.
“Thanks, and thank you for picking up Mila today. Would you three like to stay for dinner?”
“Sure, that would be great”, Yelena responded.
Nat walked away leaving the three young Avengers standing in the living room.
“Dude, you’re sweating,” Kate giggled.
“You don’t need to be afraid of her, she isn’t as scary as she looks,” Yelena said.
“Really?”
“No, she could kill you in two seconds. But look on the bright side, she didn’t. That means she likes you!” Patting Peter on the back.
“Awesome,” Peter squeaked.

Gift Giving
Warnings: mentions of explosions, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Avengers x reader platonic
Request: Hello! I have a (small) request to make! So avengers x teen! Reader who I super shy and jumpy but super laid back and calm at the same time. They had joined the team a month ago and they've barely made any progress in getting to know the team. They (the team) have tried before but it's hard to have a conversation when only one person is talking (it also makes u super nervous and they don't wanna scare you). Anyways, it's ur first time spending Christmas with them and you wanna be nice and buy all of them presents. But there's a problem; you barely know these people and you don't want to get them anything they don't like. So you end up building up some courage to talk to Peter about what you should buy them. Tbh you just found him less intimidating. He helps you out with it eventhough he doesn't know much about them, he tried his best. And you both bond in-between the one week you spent you spent together buying the team gifts

Summary: You seek out the help of someone unexpected for advice on a certain holiday problem you were having
A/N: Welcome to day 5 of Book Places 12 Days of Christmas Celebration
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
Eleven words, that’s it. That’s all you needed to say. It wasn’t a big deal, you just needed to suck it up and do it.
You’re an avenger for gods sake, how could you go out into the world all the time, fighting off literal threats to civilization, but you couldn’t even muster up enough courage to ask the least intimidating member of your team a question?
You had been apart of the team for about a month, and despite their various attempts, you had barely said anything to them unless absolutely necessary. Every time they tried to have a conversation with you, you would shut down, get nervous.
To your surprise, they hadn’t even seemed a little discouraged by your actions, if anything, they tried even harder to bond with you.
You supposed that was why you found it vital to get them gifts for the upcoming holiday, becuase they hadn’t given up on you.
It wasn’t like you didn’t want to talk back and get closer with them, you did, but you supposed you were just too shy. It was no fault of yours, though, it was just the way you were, and you could tell your team was beginning to realize that.
Sucking in a sharp breath, you reached your fist up and knocked on the door twice before you could lose whatever little courage you had been able to muster up.
There were a few sounds of crashing coming from within the room, causing you to flinch slightly, only for a disheveled looking Peter to swing the door open a moment later.
He was looking over his shoulder at the what looked like a science project gone wrong as he began speaking, “Sorry about that,” He breathed out, “I think I used the wrong chemicals-“
He cut himself off suddenly as his gaze finally met your nervous one, and his eyes went wide.
“Y/n.” He breathed out before immediately moving to the side and extending an arm out, “Come in, come in,” He rushed out.
After only a small amount of hesitation, you stepped past the boy and entered his room, glancing around guardedly.
“What can I do for you?” Peter asked after a moment of awkward silence, rocking back and forth on his heels as he clapped his hands together once.
You cleared your throat a little bit, trying to get out the dreaded eleven words, “What… what do you think I should get the team for Christmas?”
His mouth snapped shut, all the reasons he thought of that could be an explanation for why you were there flew out of his mind, “You- you want to get them gifts?” He softened at the realization.
Slowly, you nodded your head, cheeks flushing in embarrassment.
He smiled gently, “I can go shopping with you, if you’d like.” He offered quietly.
Your head snapped up and your eyes went wider than you thought was possible at his suggestion and you choked on air a little bit, “You- you mean it?” You asked.
Peter nodded his head as an excited grin grew on his face, “I mean, I don’t know very much about them myself, but I would love to help still.”
Your cheeks grew red with gratitude, “Thank you,” You whispered, staring at your shoes that you were shuffling back and forth.
“What’re friends for?” He asked with a grin.
“F-friends?” The word slipped past your lips in astonishment.
His smile only widened, “Of course,” He said.
For the first time since you entered the room, a small, ghost of a smile graced your lips.
-•-
The elevator door dinged, and everyone looked up, expecting Peter to step out alone. Imagine their surprise when you walked out right next to him, looking more confident then they had ever seen you.
The small smile that you wore on your face immediately disappeared and you seemed to fold back into your shell when you saw all of them staring.
“Hey, Y/n,” Clint greeted from where he was lounging on the couch.
You gave him a small nod in return, turning your uncertain eyes to Peter, who gave you a smile and nod of reassurance, putting a hand on the small of your back and leading you to stand in front of all of them.
Nat and Steve extachanged a curious glance before turning their attention back to you.
“What’s up?” Tony spoke aloud what everyone was thinking.
Peter cleared his throat, gesturing towards you, “N/n has something for you.”
Everyone’s eyebrows shot up at the nickname, but turned towards you expectantly nonetheless.
“I-um-“ You stammered and Peter reached out to squeeze your hand gently, causing you to take a deep breath to ground yourself once more, “I got you all something for Christmas.” You spoke with more confidence then they had ever heard from you.
A couple jaws dropped in shock as Thor choked on his drink before grinning, “Presents?” He asked in childlike giddiness.
You nodded holding up a shopping bag before scurrying around to each of your teammates and handing them things that you had bought specifically for each of them.
“Oh, Y/n,” Nat breathed out, looking down at fuzzy socks that were her favorite color, “Thank you.” She said genuinely.
You only nodded your head meekly before moving onto Thor, to whom you presented a box of pop tarts, and he nearly wept with joy.
On it went for each of your teammates, them being so greatful for the thought out gifts you and Peter had gone out of your way to get for them.
“I don’t think I’ll be doing this again, you guys are hard to shop for.” The teasing words slipped out of your mouth without even thinking about it.
Everybody’s jaws hit the floor.
“Did…” Tony choked out, “Was- was that a joke? Did you just make a joke?”
Your cheeks automatically flushed in embarrassment, but before you could shy away again, large grins broke out on everyone's face, “It suits you,” Steve said softly, “You should do it more often.”
Peter came up behind you and rubbed your shoulder in congratulations, “Merry Christmas.”
Everyone echoed it back to him, even you as you reached up and squeezed his hand once in appreciation, knowing that things would be different from now on because you were now comfortable around your team.

ALWAYS
relationship: tasm!peter parker x reader (platonic)
genre: angst with a fluffy ending
warnings: parents arguing, shouting
Tumblr media
*not my gif*
the second you heard the front door slam from the comfort of your bedroom, you knew it was going to be one of those days.
within minutes you could hear yelling and cursing in the other room. jesus, the whole building could probably hear it.
your mood immediately soured. you tried to put on your headphones and blast your favorite album, but it was no use.
finally, you got up, climbed out your window, and made your way down the fire escape. as soon as your feet hit the pavement, you took off running.
peter's house was only a few blocks down from your apartment complex. besides, your mind was keeping you distracted.
you finally stopped at his two story house and made your way over to the tree that you had grown use to climbing. just a few feet up and you could slide open the window. he never locked it.
he turned around in his swivel chair as he heard the glass slide. you didn't even have to say anything for him to know something was bothering you.
"parents are fighting again. can i stay here for the night?" you asked in a small voice.
he frowned and nodded his head, "yeah of course. always."
you gave him the best smile you could muster and sat down on his bed, "so what're you up to?"
peter shrugged, "editing photos for photography class."
you quickly got up and made your way to the computer, "can i see?"
he clicked through a few and you shook your head in disbelief.
"peter, you're so talented. seriously, you could have a career in this," you told him.
"that's the dream," he said softly. part of him wondered if he was really good enough. and what would he do if he wasn't?
you picked up his camera, breaking him from his destructive train of thought.
"what are you doing?" he asked cautiously.
you turned the device on and pointed it at him with a grin.
peter shook his head, "put it down!"
you frowned, "no way, parker. i'm the photographer now. just sit there and look pretty."
you actually got a laugh out of him.
"you're gonna break it. you don't even know how to use that thing," he stated.
your jaw almost dropped in offense, "i'm a quick learner."
peter reached to grab the camera from you, but you dodged him and snapped a couple shots.
"give it back, dork," he said as he got up. peter covered his face as the camera flashed once more.
"name calling!?" you gasped. "now you're going to have to pry it from my cold, dead hands."
in the long run it wasn't that hard for him to get the camera from you. he had the advantage of height.
but you made sure to put up a good fight. ask his shins.
you watched over his shoulder as peter began clicking through the photos you took.
half of them were blurry and he wasn't even in frame for the other half.
"i don't know, parker. you may have some competition," you said confidently.
peter gave you a side eye and after a long moment of silence, the two of you burst into chaotic laughter.

The Look Of Terror
Summary: Peter Parker x Fe!Reader -> You joined Shield and when you're placed under a certain Team Leader, Peter can't help but worry about you.
Disclaimer: This is more platonic co-worker vibes, I think? Rather than romance? But there is romance in it? Fluff, angst, Peter takes care of the reader. Description of a panic attack, kidnapping, bombs and an asshole of a Team Leader. I'm a little unsure about this one. Comment if you'd like a Part 2???
Tumblr media
You were new to the team.
It was no surprise since you joined a week late into the program that your Team Leader pushed you harder than the rest of them. But you were okay with it, most of the time. In the times where you weren’t, you’d spend a couple hours in the library reading of worlds that didn’t exist - or at least, you hoped didn’t exist. Because, for as much as seeing a fire-breathing dragon would be cool, it could also destroy most of the population of New York in one breath.
It was six months into the program that Peter finally saw you.
Not that you had noticed.
He saw you on your first day of arrival. He heard your name mentioned in passing and that was as far as it went. Until the training rooms had to be pushed into one due to a leak in the women’s bathroom. It was then that you caught Peter’s eye.
But not because of your looks, although he didn’t fail to notice your beauty. But because of the familiar look in your eyes.
It took him a while to figure it out; what exactly the look was in the beginning, he couldn’t be too sure.
For over a month, he studied you.
You weren’t a part of his team. In fact, you were with a whole other training division. But in the days when he saw you, he studied you as best as he could before it could become border-line creepy.
He saw you talk to people, but they never became friends with you. You were happy to help out people when they were struggling but most times, you were left on your own. Whilst other groups studied the Shield Handbook together, cutting the 500 page manual into respectable chunks, you sat on your own in the corner. A few people would look over to you and snigger or sneer. One trainee had said aloud about asking you to join them but everyone else shut the idea down right away. You were the rookie.
What baffled Peter was the fact that the group of trainees, who refused to collaborate with you, were rookie’s too.
Then, one day, he pulled your file.
You had the highest test score out of your group. You were intelligent and smart. You had enough strength training to be transferred into a higher level but due to your qualifying status, you would only move up when the rest of the rookie’s did, too.
So, after all of this, when he found you in the library alone one night, he decided to talk to you.
“You must know that thing like the back of your hand.”
Peter saw you jump a little and instantly regretted not making himself known to you sooner.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“Oh, no. That’s fine. I-I should be heading home now, anyway.”
“You’ve finished that book three times this week alone. Shouldn’t you be out with the others having a…drink or something?”
“Maybe, but…I kind of prefer my solitude.”
“Ah, the mysterious lonesome type?”
“Some may beg to differ.”
“I’m Peter, by the way.”
“Y/N.”
“It’s nice to meet you.”
“Likewise.”
“You’re a part of Abbot's team, aren’t you?”
“Yes. How did you know?”
“I’ve seen your file.”
“You pulled my file?”
“That and I’ve seen him train you twice a week when all agents share the training room.”
A look of realisation crossed over your face. “Oh, shit. Sorry, you’re Agent Parker.”
“Please, call me Peter. Everyone else does.”
“By the handbook says-”
“That all employees refer to their Team Leaders by their working title.” Peter sounded off. “That was something written by Fury to keep HR happy. To be honest, I’ve never really liked it. You’re meant to be a team, and how can that happen if agents are too busy worrying about calling their team leader by their official title.”
“You have a point, but Abbot-”
“Drill it into you.”
“That’s one way to put it.”
“Well, if you ever need anyone to vent to, you can talk to me.”
“Thank you.” Then after a moment of consideration you asked; “Why you?”
Peter nodded. “I worked with Abbot before Barton came back. I’ve seen how he can train those in his team. I’ve also seen that your group doesn’t exactly seem to strive for trust. It can be hard, working alone. Believe me, I would know.”
“Well, thank you.”
The next day, as you sat alone in the cafeteria, you were slightly startled to find Peter place his food tray down in front of you. “May I?”
“G-Go ahead.”
It shocked you a little; how much Peter was trying to talk to you. By this point, you had been in the program almost six months and no one, other than Abbot when he was barking orders, bothered to try and interact with you - on any scale of capacity.
And, for the following two weeks, it continued to happen.
Peter would sit down with you in the cafeteria whenever you had a break from training together. He would join you in the library on late nights when he had to make test scores and you were going over the handbook once more.
But it wasn’t until one evening when Peter noticed you had been a bit off for a couple of days, that he finally asked you what he’d been dying to ask you for weeks.
There was a distant look in your eyes. Like as if something had crept its way out of the locked box you kept it sealed in, and was slowly making its way to the front of your brain.
“What happened?”
It took you a moment to adjust back to reality before you could finally hear Peter’s question.
“What?”
“What happened?”
“When?”
“Before you joined the programme.”
Peter could see you studying him before he saw a wall go up in front of your eyes. “Nothing.”
“What happened?”
“Nothing. Nothing happened. I already told you why I joined Shield.”
Peter said your name, “I know the look of a horrible memory when I see it. What-”
“Nothing. Nothing happened, Peter. So, can you please just drop it?”
“Yes, sorry.”
You pulled the handbook back in front of you and began to skim through it again and again and again.
Except, that wall that your build would soon crumble, even as you fought for it to stay standing.
Three weeks later, and not saying a word to Peter, you found yourself in a training day that Abbot had set up without telling anyone.
“You’re gonna have to stay on your toes. It’s not easy out there, so, first up!”
Your name was called.
Others were called after you and you were given five minutes to understand your mission. And it took everything in you not to stop breathing.
As Peter made his way down to the training room, he found a “friendly” competition. The other Team Leaders had decided to get involved this time round and people were cheering and chanting and others were completely silent.
And only then did he understand why.
In the centre of the crowd, knelt three people and in the middle of them was you.
No one else noticed, but Peter did.
Your hands, despite the composure you were holding, were beginning to shake. Your eyes seemed glossier than the last time he had seen you and your breathing wasn’t like anyone else's. It was shattered.
And, as much as he wanted to stop what was happening, he knew if he did, it would probably make it worse.
Less than 30 seconds later, you were finished on the task in front of you and you stood back.
“Seven minutes and thirty-six seconds!” Abbot called out your time.
Peter watched as you turned your back and removed some of the equipment from your body before pushing your way to the back of the crowd. He rounded the corner of the crowd, but he couldn’t find you.
A few minutes later, he watched as Abbot awarded one of the Rookie’s a gift-card of some kind and a medal.
“Okay, that’s it for today! See you tomorrow!”
But you were the only one to leave.
And Peter was hot on your train.
From the moment you were given your task, your breathing was hitched in your chest and you couldn’t just quite fill your lungs with enough air to stop them from beating against your heart rapidly.
Throughout the seven and a half minutes it took you to complete the task Abbot had given to you, you had been slowly losing clear vision due to the tears of old memories ripping their way into your mind.
And once time had finally been called, you just had to force yourself to hold out a little bit longer.
But, when your legs began to give out on you, you rushed to find a wall to support you.
And, you did, for a moment.
Your breathing was unsteady and out of control. Your head felt like it was spinning and you were going to throw up, all the while you could feel every single particle of blood in your body trying to fight its way into and through your heart.
In a hazy distance, you heard someone call your name and you tried your best to focus and remain in control, but it didn’t work.
It wasn’t until you heard a door click open behind you and a steady hand lead you inside that you sank to the floor in a weak attempt to try and ground your emotions.
“Hey, look at me.”
You looked up and recognised the person who had helped you into the room.
Peter.
You couldn’t speak. So Peter tried his best to calm you.
“Just focus on my voice. Can you do that? It’s going to be okay. No one can hurt you here. You’re safe. I need you to keep looking at me. Here, pass me your hand.”
Peter took your trembling hand in his and held it against his heart.
“I need you to try and focus on the beats. Can you do that for me?”
It took you a moment, but when Peter pressed his hand over yours so it pushed further into his chest, you finally felt his heartbeat against your palm.
You tried your best to keep track of them, counting each one as they came.
“Okay, good. Now, can you follow my breaths?”
You tried your best to follow his breaths. Breathing in with him, and breathing out just the same.
It took a while but eventually your breathing returned, though it pained your chest a little when you did take in a deep breath.
At some point, Peter had moved to sit beside you, placing an arm around you, yet still holding your hand against his chest.
You didn’t know how long had passed before Peter spoke. It both felt instant and as if forever had passed.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“Not yet.”
You didn’t want to recount, just yet. You didn’t want to remember, just yet.
Eventually the light in the room dimmed and you found yourself standing. Peter had taken off his jumper before placing it on you. He had felt you shivering for the last hour but every time he went to move and give you his zip-neck jumper, he felt your hand hold him tighter not wishing him to move.
At some point, you found yourself inside of your home with Peter by your side, switching the kettle on without having to ask which is your favourite mug.
Peter didn’t say anything. He just let you sit by your kitchen island and stare at your hands for as long as you needed.
“It all started about two years ago.” you started, without even meaning to. “I, uh, I had been working the night shift. I worked in an emergency vet surgery. Anyway, one night, two guys came in. They said they had a horse outside that was giving birth but they couldn’t deliver the foul. It wasn’t rare that we got cases like this, so I grabbed my bag and rushed outside. But, instead of a horse trailer with a labouring mare, I found myself being carted off to a farm ten miles out of town.”
Peter slid the freshly made tea across to you before sitting down on one of the stools allowing the corner of the island to come between the both of you.
“I had…”
“It’s okay. You don’t have to tell me everything. You don’t have to tell me anything.”
You gave Peter a small nod, too emotionally exhausted to try and fight.
You took a breath. “I had…found myself on a farm and all I remembered was getting hit over the head and when I woke up I was strapped into a ticking bomb.”
You recounted everything to Peter, from the moment when you woke up and what was going through your head, to managing to find your medical bag which they hadn’t hid well, if at all. And, how, from that, you had tried your best to get out and stop the bomb from going off whilst it was still attached to you.
The fact that you had, by some miracle, managed to get away before it went off and blew up the barn was beyond you. But once Barton had found out, he wanted you in Shield. You had most of the medical training and with some training, you could become a major asset within Shield, helping eventually train medics in the organisation - even if you had started out as a Vet.
It was safe to say Peter was pissed about Abbot's actions.
Hell, it was even in the handbook and probably within the file that Abbot would have full access to since he was your Team Leader.
You, under no circumstance, were to be put into a situation like you had been put in just hours earlier until you had clearance from a licensed medical therapist. And, after a few questions, Peter found that you hadn’t.
Yes, you had clearance to train. You had clearance to practise. But when it came to something you had been so close with facing yourself? No.
Again, time passed and before you knew it, you had come back around and your wall had slowly started to build back up.
“I should probably go to bed. I’ve got a long day tomorrow.”
“Oh, yeah. Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”
“Yeah, of course.” You tried to assure him.
Eventually, Peter got up to leave but looking down at your top, you called out to him.
“Sorry, here’s your top.”
“Oh, uh, thanks.” Peter turned to leave once again but then turned back. “Oh, here…just in case.”
You looked down and found Peter’s card. It contained his name, office address and his phone number.
“If Abbot tries something like today again…”
“I’ll be sure to call.” you nodded, though Peter feared that what you were saying had no meaning. That you would continue through it, pushing your emotions against your brick wall as hard as you could before you broke again.
“I mean it, Y/N. He shouldn’t have done that today.”
“I’ll be okay, Peter. I promise.”
AS the door closed behind him, Peter feared that you had made a promise you couldn’t keep, despite how much he knew you would try to.

Imagine being Nemor’s little sister and secretly seeing Peter.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Age: 18. You are Namor’s younger sister, he is very protective of you, one day you two got into a bad fight and you ran away to New York.
Tumblr media
This is what you’re wearing I made it on Gacha life 2
* Your older brother, Namor has always been very protective of you ever since your mother died years ago.
* You were the physical age of 8 when she passed away and it was a devastating blow for you.
* You are the princess of Talokan, you love your home but you always wondered what it’s like on the surface but everytime you asked your brother he would change the subject.
* One day you had enough and decided to get a real answer from him but it turned into a fight and before you knew it you swam away from Talokan until you ended up in Manhattan.
* You couldn’t believe how much the world has changed since last you visited the surface for you saw buildings touching the sky, metal birds, people wearing strange clothes while looking at little boxes and strange metal fish on land.
* You saw that there were even moving pictures but one caught your curiosity on a man in red and black saving people trapped in an elevator.
* As your intrigued by the moving picture you didn’t notice the giant metal fish (truck kun) coming until you heard loud blaring and the next thing you know, you’re swooped off the road by the man on the moving pictures.
* Peter was shocked to see a young girl wear strange attire that looked like something out of Aquaman with tiny wings on her feet and a strange mask over her nose and mouth with water in it.
* He put her down and she thanked him in Spanish to which he replied back, she introduced herself as Y/N McKenzie and he introduced himself as Spider-Man and told her to be careful.
* Later as your at the docks Peter now in his Citizen attire came up to you and asked where you are from, you two introduced yourselves then started talking and hitting it off.
* You couldn’t help but be found of the young human man as you two talked about stuff and he introduced you to social media, memes and YouTube until you realized how late it was “I have to get back home.” You said taking off your masked and diving into the ocean to swim back to Talokan but you promised Peter to meet you back at the docks by tomorrow.
* For the past few months you have been sneaking out to New York to see Peter while running into Spider-Man on a few occasions.
* One day, Namor started wondering where you’ve been going for the past few days after your fighting lessons so he decided to follow you.
* He had a tsunami when he saw you and Peter talking and went to confront you “This is where you’ve been going? You know that the surface is forbidden.” He said angrily.
* You were tired of Namor being very overprotective.
* Ever since your mother died he’s never let you leave the palace to the point you didn’t want to be a princess anymore.
* So you told him straight on that times have changed and that humans aren’t like how they use to be anymore and that you’ve developed feelings for Peter.
* Namor is speechless but when he saw Peter he saw that the boy was really well mannered and nice to you so with a heavy sigh he said “Fine I’ll give him a chance, but it won’t save him from my wrath if he hurts you.” He said placing a kiss on your head.
* And so you and Peter have been seeing each other without fear and Peter was happy that he meet new people after everyone he knew and cared about had to forget about him after the whole secret identity reveal back in 2018.
I hope you all like it. Again I haven’t watched Wakanda forever yet.
I don’t own the MCU but I do own the gacha picture.

The Raft.
That’s where they sent you after they arrested you in Germany. The fucking Raft.
You haven’t even seen Wanda since you were handed your very unstylish new clothes and they made you change.
You got separated from her when they took you to your cell between Scott's and Sam's. You dread what they're going to do to her, but you're powerless to stop them.
You sit on the ground of your cell and don’t move from there, barely registering what happens around you until the sound of clapping snaps you out of your trance.
“The Futurist, gentlemen!” Clint shouts but you still don’t move, just listening to the scene. “The Futurist is here! He sees all! He knows what's best for you, whether you like it or not.”
“Give me a break, Barton.” You hear Tony say and almost show some emotion, but stop yourself. “I had no idea they'd put you here. Come on.”
You hear Clint spit and then say “Yeah, well, you knew they'd put us somewhere, Tony.”
“Yeah, but not some super-max floating ocean pokey. You know, this place is for maniacs. This is a place for…”
“Criminals?” Clint interrupts him. “Criminals, Tony. Think that's the word you're looking for. Right? That didn't used to mean me. Or Sam, or Y/N, or Wanda. But here we are.”
“Because you broke the law.” Tony says.
“Yeah.” Clint says back and starts chanting “La la la la la” while Tony talks, making you grin slightly.
“I didn't make you. You read it, you broke it.” Tony keeps talking. “Alright, you're all grown up, you got a wife and kids. I don't understand, why didn't you think about them before you chose the wrong side.” he says and your face falls again immediately, knowing Tony went too far.
“You gotta watch your back with this guy.” Clint says before slamming his hands on the bars angrily. “There's a chance he's gonna break it!”
“Hank Pym always said, you never can trust a Stark.” You hear Scott say from the cell on your right.
“Who are you?” Tony says, his voice closer to you than before, and you can hear Scott mumbling “Come on, man.”
Tony gets to your cell and sees you sitting on the ground, hugging your knees tight to your chest, your head resting back on the wall while you look straight ahead.
Tony is nothing short of shocked when he sees your face all beat up and bruised, your arm bandaged with blood seeping through it showing just how big and deep the cut is, all courtesy of Ayo.
“I never wanted to see you like this...” Tony says softly but you don’t even react to his words.
He’s standing in front of you but it’s like he’s not even there, like you’re looking right through him to something more interesting behind him.
Tony sighs and shakes his head before moving to Sam’s cell.
“How's Rhodes?” Sam asks right away.
“They're flying him to Columbia Medical tomorrow. So… fingers cross.” Tony answers and you close your eyes, grateful that he’s still alive at least. “What do you need? They feed you yet?”
“You're the good cop now?” Sam asks almost in disbelief.
“I'm just the guy who needs to know where Steve went.” Tony answers calmly.
“Well, you better go get a bad cop, because you're gonna have to go Mark Fuhrman on my ass to get information out of me.”
“Oh, I just knocked the 'A' out of their 'AV'.” Tony says, much too playfully for your taste. “We got about 30 seconds before they realize it's not their equipment.”
You furrow your eyebrows at his next sentence. “Just look. Because that is the fellow who was supposed to interrogate Barnes. Clearly, I made a mistake. Sam, I was wrong.”
Your eyes snap open at his apology and, even though you can’t see either of them, you know Sam’s feeling the same way as you, which is confirmed by his next sentence. “That's a first.”
“Cap is definitely off the reservation but he's about to need all the help he can get. We don't know each other very well. You don't have to-”
“Hey, it's alright.” Sam interrupts him, then you hear him sigh and after a little pause he says “Look, I'll tell you… but you have to go alone and as a friend.”
“Easy.” Tony says and Sam proceeds to tell him all about the Hydra base in Siberia and the other supersoldiers.
When Tony leaves, Sam once again tries to make sure you’re okay even if he hasn’t had luck at getting an answer out of you since you got here.
He knocks twice on the wall between you two then pauses and then knocks three more times fast before talking, a thing you two started doing since you both moved into the Avengers Compound so you would know it was the other knocking right away. “Are you okay?”
You don’t answer him and can hear him sighing before continuing talking.
“Look, I’m sorry you got caught up in this and-”
“I don’t regret the choice I made, Sam.” You interrupt him before he can finish his sentence, speaking up for the first time since you got arrested at the airport. “As much as this sucks, it was the right thing to do. I know it was.”
You don’t say anything else. Sam can tell you mean it and he knows better than to push you.
“They’ll be okay.” He says after a moment of silence and then lets you be.
You know he means Steve, Bucky and Tony but you can’t help but think he’s trying to reassure you that Bucky’s gonna be fine.
And you can only hope that he’s right.
-
A couple of weeks after Tony’s visit there’s a commotion in the prison.
You haven’t so much as made a sound since that day, aside from your daily knock on the wall between you and Sam so he can make sure you’re okay, knowing you well enough to know you don’t want to talk but still wanting to check in.
But you can’t help but let out a loud gasp when you see Steve just standing in front of your cells.
You look around when the cell doors open and you hesitantly get up from the floor and walk towards Steve. He hugs Sam, then you, then Clint and then pats Scott on the back, but doesn’t linger long before he’s guiding you towards another level where Wanda is.
You get to her just as the door to her cell opens and you rush inside with Clint to take off her collar while he takes off her straightjacket. You hug her tightly and wrap your arm around her with Clint to help her move you since she looks a little worse for wear.
You manage to move through the prison without problems. You have to hand it to Steve, he’s a hell of a criminal.
When you get to the landing pad you see the Quinjet ready for take off and you all rush inside just to see Bucky at the commands and you smile brightly at the sight.
You have no time to comment, though, as Sam shouts “What are you waiting for?! Go!”
Bucky rolls his eyes but calmly says “We have one more coming.”
You frown. One more? You turn to Steve confusedly but before you can ask anything you can see blond hair darting into the Quinjet and then Natasha’s there.
Bucky instantly takes off and you all take seats and buckle up.
There’s a moment of silence while everyone processes what just happened, but you break it while looking at Natasha that’s sitting directly in front of you.
“Are we gonna talk about the hair?” You ask arching your eyebrow with a smirk.
She groans in annoyance and you can hear the others chuckling while she says “We are not.”
-
After a few hours you all get to a safehouse and Steve ushers you in before showing you around.
It’s not bad: a secluded cabin with three bedrooms, not too big but Steve assured you you wouldn’t be staying there long anyway. Which makes sense, you're on the run now so this is just temporary.
After the tour Bucky approaches you in the living room and only then you notice he’s missing his metal arm.
“You flew the jet with only one arm? That’s impressive…” You can’t help yourself as you reach to touch his left shoulder, your eyes fixated on it. But stop on your tracks when you feel his right hand carefully cupping your cheek.
Your eyes snap up to his and you can see him thoroughly inspecting the wounds in your face that are still healing a little. He grimaces when he looks down at your bandaged arm and whispers “I’m sorry…”
“It’s nothing I can’t handle, Sergeant.” You smile softly at him and put your hand over his still on your cheek, trying to reassure him that you’re fine.
“I bet you can, doll.” He chuckles.
You’re too busy staring at each other to notice everyone’s attention is on you until Steve clears his throat with an apologetic look on his face.
“We need to go, Buck.” He says and you look confusedly between the two men.
“I’m going back into cryo.” Bucky clarifies for you.
“Oh.” Is all you can say and your eyes widen for a second before you force yourself to put on a more neutral face.
“It’s okay.” He smiles at you, but you feel like he’s trying to convince himself as much as you. “It’s nothing I can’t handle, doll.”
You try your best to smile and not look too bummed out. “I bet you can, Sergeant.”
You hesitate for a moment before surprising him, the others and even yourself by giving him a hug. He hesitates too before delicately hugging you back and, after a moment, you pull away.
He smiles at you with a faint blush and you smile back, watching him walk to the door.
Steve passes you on his way to the door and kisses your forehead, whispering “He’ll be okay” before saying goodbye to the rest of the team, assuring you that he’ll be back soon. Then he also goes through the door and soon both the supersoldiers are gone.
You turn around with a sigh and see Sam, Natasha and Clint standing there, grinning at you, Wanda and Scott looking more compassionate than teasing.
You narrow your eyes at the first three and say sternly “Not. A. Word.” punctuating every word by pointing threateningly at each of them.
They raise their hands in mock surrender while snickering but thankfully don’t say anything and everyone just scatters around the safehouse.
You see the Quinjet depart from the window and try your best to look at the bright side: This isn’t forever, you’ll see him again.
Right?

Head Rush
Characters: (mcu) platonic Peter Parker X reader
Warning: Mild Violence, implied kidnapping, Yandere Themes
Set After No Way Home!
Drabble/Oneshot I guess?
The strands of webbing tugged tightly around your wrists, keeping your hands bound behind your back as your fragile body swayed ever so slightly, the weight of your body being dangled from the ceiling by a rope of web gripped firmly around your ankles.
You struggled to keep your vision focused as all the blood rushing to your head kept you in a loop of constant dizziness, the haunting feeling that your eyes would pop out of your head any second is what kept you so still and compliant.
The tears that welled up in your eyes had severely blurred your vision, however you were still able to make out his silhouette when he walked into view of the doorway.
"I lost everything, everyone. Tony, "He took a sudden, harsh breath before he whispered with a weak voice, "May."
A hot tear ran cold as it rolled from your eye and across your forehead, before disappearing when it met your scalp.
"My girlfriend, my best friend, every time I thought I had someone left, they slipped through my fingers, one way or another." The grainy floorboards groaned beneath his feet as he took a step closer to you, his face perfectly aligned with yours.
"We've been together forever, it's always been us against the world." His face twisted into a look of genuine confusion and misunderstanding. "I just don't understand why you would want to not only move away, but move in with some guy you've known for what, two months?"
His hand caressed the back of your head, before gently pulling your head closer to his, "What were you thinking?" He whispered.
It took a couple of attempts to inhale a proper breath before you could reply, whispering a breathy "I-i'm s-sorry."
The tears that he had kept unshed melted as he stared at you in wonder, his eyes becoming just that bit glassier when a lump swelled in his throat, "I know, but-"
He cut himself off, his eyes leaving yours as if to stare in thought for a moment, before clamping a silk gloved hand firmly around your mouth, turning his slim waist and holding out his hand towards the door, his fingers almost brushing against the trigger of his web shooter.
"One peep out of you and I'll drag you to Stark Tower and stuff you in a suit, do you hear me?"
His sudden threat not only terrified you, but confused you, until a beat later when three dull thuds pounded against the front door of the apartment.
A muffled "Parker?" resounded against the thin yellowing walls of the flat.
Peter's grasp on you became tighter, his fingers slowly beginning to crush your jaw.
"Parker?" Another three knocks rapped against the door.
Five breaths passed, silence filling the air before Peter slowly lowered his hand and turned to you, a subtle look of relief washing over his face when your presence was proved to him.
~
A/N: wow it's been a while since I've written something :/ This is just something very brief and random. It's unedited but I just wanted to post it and see how people thought about it.
