Summary: Your date night with Wanda gets interrupted in the strangest way
A/N: This was a collaborative effort between @speciallysapphic , @therunawaykind and myself for a challenge set by @vancityfire13 . I thought it was fun and wanted to share. I hope you all enjoy reading 🙂
Tumblr media
It had been a while since you and Wanda got a chance to spend some time together. So you agreed to a quiet date night in.
Sitting in front of the TV you were nearing the end of the movie you had picked out, dirty dishes placed on the small coffee table in front of the two of you as you snuggled on the sofa. It was your turn to choose a movie this time.
You both agreed that you would take turns choosing the movies you would watch on nights like this. Wanda always opted for classic movies you hadn't seen, while you picked 'iconic' movies Wanda would have missed because of her time through the war.
The night started with taking advantage of the empty compound, spending time cooking your dinner. Music filled the air as you danced around the kitchen together between cutting up vegetables and following Wanda's instructions.
You went along as best you could but not wanting to ruin your meal, you opted to follow her around like a puppy, completing little tasks you could see needed doing.
Throughout the movie Wanda tried to keep making moves to go further than cuddling. You stopped her wandering hands each time telling her to 'watch this part, it's funny' or ‘it’s coming to a good bit'.
She always found it endearing how you wanted to share the joy of watching movies together. It was one of the things she loved about you.
Now that the credits were about to roll Wanda seized the opportunity to pounce on you. She straddled your hips and began to desperately kiss you.
When air was needed she rested her forehead against yours, inhaling then letting out a breath, "I thought the movie was never going to end."
You furrow your eyebrows as you pull your head back to ask, "You didn't like it?"
Looking at your expression she can't help but find your pout cute, "I did like it, it was funny and definitely iconic," she answers.
Your face brightens but she continues as her hands move from around your neck down your body, "I just had something else on my mind," she says, biting her bottom lip and placing her hands under your shirt.
With your lips attached again, you waste no time in lifting her slightly to lay her on her back on the sofa and get comfortable on top of her.
Before you can even think about removing her shirt you hear the loud, excited voices of a few people approaching the seating area you were in.
You recognise the voices belonging to Steve and Thor. Even though you don’t hear them you know Scott and Vision will also be present because they were assigned on the same mission.
Feeling annoyed is an understatement because you really didn't think anyone would be back today. Before you get caught like a couple of school kids, the two of you sit up, fix your hair and clothes so you are presentable for your oncoming intruders.
As they enter the vicinity Scott notices the clutter of dishes and the movie credits rolling. The other men and the android turn their attention to you too once they are made aware of your presence when he asks, “You guys had a party without us?” His face, slightly sad.
But the question adds to your annoyance because intruding was one thing but him not realising he had walked in on your date was another. “Yeah, Scott. We had a party. Just the two of us.” You smile sarcastically at the man putting his helmet down on one of the empty sofas.
When he realises your tone he squints his eyes at you, “You know, it’s not your words that hurt, it’s the way you say them,” he says as if he is wounded. You roll your eyes and sit more comfortably, wrapping an arm around your girlfriend.
The ‘wounded’ man, getting over it quickly, asks, "What were you watching?"
Wanda leans into your embrace, "Legally Blonde," she replies for you, to avoid any cynical answers.
Scott's face lights up, "Oh, I love that movie. You really couldn't have waited for us to come back?"
You roll your eyes again and are about to say something but Steve is quicker, “Yeah, a relaxing movie would be nice after the 48 hours we just had," he states, joining the conversation.
Thor gets everyone's heads turning toward him as he walks closer to where the five of you are, beer in hand, “It was a long 48 hours indeed, but we were victorious in the end,” he smiles, proudly.
It’s silent for a moment before Scott speaks again, disregarding Thor’s comment and moving his gaze to Steve, "There's nothing relaxing about Elle Woods trying to get into Harvard, defying stereotypes, getting the man of her dreams back. On top of that she deals with sexism and her self-worth."
Thor, still with a bright smile on his face, says, "Ah yes, there is nothing more important than a woman getting the education she deserves."
To which Steve chuckles along with Wanda. You notice Vision standing on the side, looking like he is trying to compute the plot of the movie.
Scott, once again disregards Thor’s comment and continues, "It has so many iconic moments; 'What? Like it's hard?',” he quotes putting his hand on his hip as he pops it out for emphasis. "And using her hair care knowledge to her advantage! Who knew the girl would get caught because she got her hair done!"
Wanda giggles at the ant man’s enthusiasm while you sit there impassively watching him, still feeling a little irritated. You can’t help but wonder if you can sneak the two of you out while Scott has the attention of the room.
Your plan is foiled when Natasha, Sam, Bucky and Tony enter, the attention moving to them momentarily as they walk closer.
It really is a party now.
Nat raises an eyebrow assessing the crowd in the area, she smirks when she sees your displeased expression. You had already spoken to her about the fact you were finally going to get some alone time with Wanda - it was clear your time was cut short.
Everyone moves their heads in the direction of Scott as he gasps loudly, "The 'Bend and Snap'!” He exclaims, “How could I forget about the 'Bend and Snap'?!"
Steve, Thor, Vision and Bucky look at him confused, as Nat looks in your direction, “Legally Blonde?” She asks so you nod your head with Wanda nodding along, thinking the question was for her.
The new patrons to the room take seats in various places, when Vision questions, “The Bend and Snap?" You hear Sam laugh at the serious demeanour Vision has.
Nat stands with her arms crossed and everyone else listens from their seats as Scott explains, it's how Elle Woods gets a man's attention. Taking a couple of steps away from the couch he shows them how it's done.
Taking out a small disc from his pocket, he cautions everyone that it is safe. But from the look on the faces no one was worried to begin with.
The group have always been in agreement that Scott was the least worrying hero, the only reason he is on the team is because enemies don’t see him as much of a threat and that gives him the advantage to blindside them.
He’s about to start explaining when you all hear a commotion coming from the direction of the hanger. A moment later you all see the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy enter.
You let out an annoyed sigh watching them stampede their way to you greeting their comrades.
The red headed spy laughs at your exasperation, you can't help but wonder why everyone has chosen today of all days to show up.
When Peter asks what’s going on, he’s shushed and told to take a seat as they all sit and stand around joining the teaching moment.
When everyone is settled down, Scott continues, “First you need an item, it can be anything at all. You drop it,” he shows the item in his hand and drops it exaggeratedly, “Oh,” he giggles putting a hand to his mouth, his voice an octave higher, “Oops,” he smiles shyly, keeping up the act.
Returning to his normal voice, “Then you bend and reach for the item, like so,” he hinges forward at the waist, simultaneously sliding his hand down his leg, explaining the movement draws attention to the length of your legs.
“The whole point is to take your time, to keep the watcher on edge,” he wiggles his eyebrows and says this is the ‘bend’ portion of the manoeuvre.
“Once you have the item in hand, you quickly,” as he grabs the metallic disc he springs up positioning either hand to the sides of his chest, framing it while arching his back. Explaining this is the ‘snap’.
There is a round of applause mixed with some laughs as Scott bows to his audience.
Thor’s mouth hangs open slightly, intrigued and can't help asking, "So… if I do this it will get the attention of a woman."
Sam and Tony laugh together, “It will definitely get some attention!” Sam exclaims.
You join in with Wanda’s laughter, unable to get over how ridiculous this all has gotten.
Thor and Peter step forward to Scott with a few questions, wanting to go through the actions with him.
“I’ll need a volunteer to show you one more time,” he looks around and sees Captain America looking hesitant to ask so he does it for him. "What about you Cap? You wanna give it a shot?"
Steve glances over to the seats and sees Bucky looking over. He smiles and blushes but says he'll try, purposely moving to angle himself right so that the Winter Soldier will get a clear view of America's ass as he 'bends'.
Scott goes through the moves step by step using the American icon as a test dummy with Bucky’s eyes never leaving his figure. When he bends forward, Scott places a hand on Steve's back to get him to bend over a little more, much to Bucky’s satisfaction.
Steve’s movements are stiff but he manages to get through it getting a pat on the back from Thor as he tries to make eye contact with Bucky when he’s standing straight again.
Everyone else is too busy conversing or watching Thor’s attempts on the side to see the hungry eyes of the Winter Soldier, making you want to throw up. All those times Bucky has called Steve ‘Captain’ coming to the forefront of your mind.
You choke on nothing when Bucky signals toward the elevator as he stands to leave, while everyone is distracted Steve follows his path.
Wanda makes sure you are okay by rubbing your back. When your coughing stops, “It’s so nice seeing everyone together, it would be better if the rest were here too,” she says, which you can't help but smile at.
These people have become her family, it was one of the first things she confided in you. As if by magic Wanda gets her wish when you feel a gush of wind fly past you. Pietro stops next to Nat and shouts across the room adding to the chaos and noise, “I told you, even with a five minute head start I’d still win!”
You turn your head, you see, Yelena, Kate, Kamala, Peter (Parker) and America enter with Bruce trailing in just after them.
Thor’s boisterous laugh has you looking at the original group that ruined your night. Scott congratulates him for getting it correct and complimenting his arms being bigger than Steve’s. Thor is beaming, "I can't wait to try this on Jane, she will be so impressed."
Vision steps past Peter (Quill), who is showing Gamora the move, speaking quietly to Scott while looking sheepish. You swear you see him blush when he makes eye contact with Pietro, not realising the action was possible for the literal machine. He stutters his question asking Scott if he could help him next.
Nat told you he had a thing for Wanda’s twin but you didn't believe it. It really was a ‘you have to see it to believe it’ kind of thing.
Vision thinks he is quiet but everyone hears the final words come out of his mouth, “I just don’t think it’s appropriate in front of my daddies.”
A sheet of quiet takes over the room that feels like it lasts forever, jaws hanging open trying to fathom what they have just heard. Sam laughs first with the rest soon following.
They realise what Vision meant so fingers are pointed at Tony, Bruce and Thor with howling laughter taking over the room.
While Tony and Bruce want to sink into the floor Thor smiles not really understanding the joke. With Vision in the same boat he looks around not really caring and looking back to Scott with quizzical eyes.
You hear Mantis whisper beside you, “How many daddies does he have?” Making you feel bile creep up your throat again.
Before Scott can answer the android, Pietro cuts in and tells him he would show him himself but in a private setting, flirtatiously.
First you had to witness Bucky and Steve’s bedroom eyes. Now this, the world really was against you today.
Nat smiles as she sees her wife walk in and make her way to her. They greet each other with a kiss and she catches Maria up with what has been going on. She scoffs at the absurdity of it all and confirms they will have dinner in a few hours.
Their attention gets turned to Sam who asks if Nat will be a judge on who can do the ‘Bend and Snap’ the best. Scott takes offence saying he was right there, wanting to be the one to do the judging.
Wanda realises you have been quiet for a bit too long, “Hey, should we continue our date in our room?” She says lowly to you.
“You don’t want to stick around a little longer while everyone is here?” You reply with your own question.
“I think this whole thing has been enough for a little while,” she laughs, making you smile.
She takes your hand as she leads you away, the loud noise of the contest being sorted getting quieter the further you walk away.
You get in the elevator and are making your way up when it comes to an abrupt stop as the building shakes.
There’s a loud sound from something followed by the alarms going off.
The muffled sounds of Scott trying to defend himself, “I thought it was a shrinking disc!” Make their way through the walls of your location.
Sighing, you ask Friday what happened, “It looks like a sofa has been supersized and crashed through several walls.”
“So, how long are we stuck here?” Wanda asks for you. The only reply you get from the automated voice is that help will be on its way as soon as possible. Wanda doesn't want to risk using her powers in case something comes crashing down on the two of you.
It doesn't take long for you to get freed. You make your way back to the seating area due to the fact the oversized sofa is partly in your room.
You can’t believe your eyes. In the fifteen minutes you spent trapped in the elevator they have managed to set up a makeshift catwalk complete with a judging table, scoring cards and everyone has an assigned number stuck to their backs.
Noticing Steve and Bucky, you realise the early leavers from before have returned to take part in this little competition too.
When you make it to Nat and Scott at the judging section they explain one of his discs hit the sofa as they were trying to move it out of the way. “We still need one more judge, unless you want to compete,” Natasha quips.
You’re about to reply saying there was no way you were going to entertain the idea of you doing the ‘bend and snap’ but Wanda answers first, “I wouldn’t mind walking down a runway for you to judge me,” she smiles at you, biting her lip.
You smirk at her, “I think I already know the score I’m going to give you,” you give her a peck on the cheek. “You still have to work for it though, I can’t have anyone thinking I have a favorite,” you lower your voice to a whisper just for her to hear.
The competition starts when Nat announces contestant number one can begin and of course it is a loud fiasco.
With music blaring, it goes exactly how you would have expected something like this to go.
America and Kamala fall over their own feet in their collaborative effort, the two Peters decide to team up (two Peters are better than one they said) and have a wardrobe malfunction when webs attach themselves to Starlords pants pulling them down, Kate pushing Yelena forward to not do anything at the end of the runway but give her sister the middle finger when she catches her sister laughing at her.
Tony even managed to get Pepper to walk down with him as she awkwardly stood to the side while he picked up his glasses from the ground. Shaking his butt in her direction just to see her blush.
Drax, thinking it was a talent show, moves as slow as possible showing he can be invisible.
What’s even crazier is that Vision completing the action snaps the wrong thing because he short circuits and gets stuck. Pietro has to take him to Tony’s lab with Tony following behind him to get the android fixed.
When Wanda inevitably wins everyone has something to say about it. “An infinite amount of points isn’t fair!” You hear a variation of this same statement from a few contestants and you only have one reply, “Maybe you should find your own judge to sleep with,” you laugh heartily at your own joke.
Even though the night didn’t go as you hoped, you still had a pretty good time.
You are especially happy with the way Wanda was smiling and enjoying herself.

Hi, I have a request.
So like Pietro and the reader are in a relationship and Pietro is really insecure about him being not able to give reader enough gifts and attention. (Reader is from a wealthy family)
He's scared that Reader could leave him for a wealthier person than him. Reader reassure Pietro that they won't leave him.
Yea, so angsty & fluff.
The reader can be gender neutral, I don't really care.
Thanks, I love how you write
Have a nice day.
anything from you - p.m.

"I CAN'T ACCEPT THIS," PIETRO'S mouth had fallen agape at the sight of the small box he opened, resting it on his lap. The light flashed off of the glittering silver of the watch inside, it's glass face perfectly clear, so well made that it looked like there was nothing there. "This is... this is very expensive gift."
"You have to accept it," you grinned, shrugging your shoulders. "I saw it and thought you'd like it."
"Yes, and I-- I do, but..." Pietro opened and closed his mouth like a fish. "I have never worn something so expensive before."
"Firsts for everything!" you giggled and gave him a bashful smile. He pursed his lips, melting at the sweetness of your face, and glanced back down at the watch. Your face sunk a bit at his hesitation, and you grabbed the bag that previously held the box. "I can return it, if you don't like it."
"No, I... I love it," Pietro grabbed ahold of your hand, smoothing his thumb over the top of your knuckles before bringing it to his lips and kissing it. "Multumesc, dragă."
---
“AHA!” Pietro mumbled to himself, pulling his hand out from behind the couch cushion of the couch in the Avengers Compound’s foyer, another quarter pinched between his fingers. He was lucky enough to live there and earn a decent wage, but he certainly did not have as much disposable income as say, Tony Stark, or even Y/N L/N.
“Pietro,” came Wanda’s voice from behind him, her tone slow as though she were confused. He turned his head to see her standing there, arms crossed over her chest, eyebrow raised. “What on earth are you doing?”
“Right now, I am counting,” he said, sitting down and dumping out his pocket, muttering the numbers under his breath. “I have a total of twenty-three dollars and...seventy-three cents. But then once I add the money from my wallet, I’ll have about...”
“What do you need this for?” Wanda sauntered over, sitting across from him and his measly pile of dented dollar bills and dirty coins. Pietro didn’t respond, still counting in his head.
“Sixty-five dollars and eighty-two cents,” Pietro nodded his head, muttering under his breath. “That might be enough...”
“Nice watch,” Wanda complimented. “From Y/N, yes?”
“Yeah,” Pietro muttered, rubbing the band of it with his thumb. “They are very generous.”
“I see.”
“I want to buy them something,” Pietro told his sister. “But... I cannot really afford something very expensive, you know? So maybe something for fifty dollars. Or maybe more, but I... I don’t know.”
“Why don’t you just make them something? Or take them some place nice?”
“I could,” Pietro scratched his chin, dropping his shoulders in exhaustion. “But they’re always buying me things, I feel like I need to return the favor.”
“You don’t owe them anything, though,” Wanda told him gently. “Just because they buy you all these things doesn’t mean you need to buy them things, it just means you need to gift them with other things. Experiences, homemade things... as long as there is love in it, no?”
“I am not wealthy like them,” Pietro sighed. “What if they think I am using them for their money? I need to show them that --”
“They do not think that,” Wanda gave him a gentle look. “They love you, trust me. I was with them when they picked out that watch for you.”
“Yeah, well,” Pietro didn’t have much to say in response to that. “They’d be better off with someone who can afford to take care of them.”
“Don’t talk like that,” Wanda shook her head. “You take care of them just fine.”
“Hmph,” Pietro only shrugged and began to leave the room. “Maybe. But they could do better.”
---
“Wanda?” you said, poking your head into the kitchen. Said woman stood over a steaming pot, stirring the contents with a long wooden spoon. Vision glided into the room, holding onto a container of paprika looking triumphant.
“Found it!” he said cheerfully. He turned his head and grinned at the sight of you. “Oh, hello, Y/N. Did you want some paprikash?”
“Maybe later, thanks Vision,” you smiled. “Have either of you seen Pietro?”
“Uhm, I’d assume he’d be in his room,” Wanda guessed.
“No, he’s not in there,” you frowned, sitting on one of the bar stools. “I’ve been looking around for him all day. I think he’s avoiding me.”
You knew Wanda and Vision shared a glance, but you were too busy staring down at the ring on your finger to say anything. Pietro had gotten it for you in the early stages of your relationship; you hadn’t the slightest clue where it was from or if the gems were real, but it was beautiful and fit like a glove. That was all that mattered, anyways. You twisted it around on your finger, frowning.
“Did I upset him?” you asked Wanda. “Has he said anything to you?”
Wanda gave a quick, almost unnoticeable glance at Vision. “Erm... he’s not upset at you, no.”
“What is it, then?” you pressed. There was a pregnant pause of silence.
“Look, I think you should talk to him,” Wanda trailed off, her brows slowly raising as she glanced behind you. Vision did nothing, however he was not slick about the way his eyes widened and he mouthed, “Go!”
You whipped your head around, and before you set eyes on Pietro, the blur of his red sweatshirt caught your eye and you knew he had run off. You sighed, running a hand across your scalp.
“Sorry,” Vision apologized to you, bowing his head. “It’s... it’s your business, you and him.”
“Yes, I know,” you sighed again. “Thanks, I guess.”
“We’ll save some paprikash for you!” Wanda called out to you as you disappeared down the hallway. The lights of Pietro’s room were on, and you could hear the soft sound of a record playing from outside the door. It was Billy Joel’s The Stranger, one of his favorite American records; you had bought it for him, along with Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John.
With “Vienna” playing from the old record player, you creaked open the door. Pietro was at his desk, hunched over a piece of paper with a ballpoint pen in his hand. He was humming along softly under his breath, scribbling away and not noticing you. You walked up behind him and put a hand on his arm, bending over to place your chin on his shoulder. He jumped.
“You scared me,” he muttered, hastily folding up the paper and shoving it into a drawer. “Did you knock?”
“No, sorry,” you drew your face away from him, glancing at where he hid the paper. “Did you want me to leave?”
“I--” he hesitated. “No, I don’t.”
“Okay,” you rocked on your toes for a second before crossing the room to sit on the edge of the bed. “You okay? Whatcha doing?”
“Just drawing,” he sighed, putting the pen down and leaning back in his chair. “Bored, I guess.”
“Haven’t seen you all day,” you continued.
“Been tired,” he lied through his teeth.
“Yeah, okay,” you scoffed. “You slept for like ten hours.”
Pietro’s lips quirked up. “Yeah, true.”
“What’s going on?” you asked bluntly, patting the empty space on the bed beside you. Pietro eyed it for a second, as though hesitating, before getting up and taking a seat beside you, his knees resting against yours, shoulders pressed against one another. You lifted your hand, running it through his hair. “What’s goin’ on in that brain of yours?”
“Just...” Pietro paused. “Don’t you ever... aren’t you ever upset that I can’t... that I can’t really do stuff for you?”
You furrowed your brows, unsure what he meant.
“Like this watch,” Pietro ran his thumb over the face of the shiny gold watch on his wrist, the band glinting under the soft lights of his bedroom. “It’s... it’s great. I love it. But I can’t buy you stuff like this. I can’t... I don’t have...”
“That never upsets me,” you told him honestly. “I don’t even think about that kind of stuff.”
“You could have a guy who can buy you things,” Pietro went on. “A real rich one, you know, take you shopping and whatnot.”
“I can take myself shopping,” you joked, bumping your shoulder with his. He gave a small smile. “And I don’t need that, nor do I want that. I want you, and whatever you come with is perfect.”
“Are you sure?” Pietro scrunched up his face, his pale eyes glazed over. You ran your hand through the icy tips of his hair, and he leaned into your touch like a puppy being scratched behind the ear. “Sometimes I worry that you’ll leave.”
“Leave?”
“For someone with more money,” Pietro mumbled.
“I’m not going anywhere,” you kissed his cheek. “I don’t want to leave, and I’m not going to anytime soon.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes,” you kissed his temple. “I am.”
Pietro said nothing, his brows furrowed and his nose slightly scrunched. You put your hand under his chin, turning his face so the two of you were eye to eye.
"You are perfectly perfect, Piet,” you told him firmly. You felt his face turn hot underneath your hand. “I’ve never wished for anything more or less from you. It’s like I’m Goldilocks and you’re the porridge that’s just right."
“Mm,” was all he said for a moment, leaning into you. After a pregnant pause of silence, he said, “I don’t know what that means.”
“Yeah, I figured,” you wrapped your arms around him, hugging his side. He pressed into you, hugging you back, the warmth from his arms engulfing you. “My next gift for you will be an American nursery rhyme book. How’s that?”
He let out a laugh, holding you tighter. “Anything from you is perfect.”

No Spoilers Epilogue (Avengers X Reader)
Characters: Avengers X Reader
Universe: Marvel, Avengers
Warnings: Mention of injuries, drugs/strong medication, pain
Request: No Spoilers Pt 5 Epilogue.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last few days had been a bit of a blur for you, partially because of Bruce ensuring (and the rest of the team’s insistence at any sign of discomfort) that you were on some good painkillers while recovering from your stunt that you pulled, and partially because you hadn’t been allowed to leave your temporary accommodation at Stark tower, which other than the one wall of pure windows that let you look over New York, kept you locked away from the rest of the world. You had tried to leave and walk around, but the entire team had been watching you like a hawk since you got back, and they always pushed you back into bed to rest.
So when you had managed to make it one floor down to the living area, the place where the team had been hanging out when Ultron attacked, you considered that a new record, and awarded yourself by limping hunched over to one of the couches and collapsing onto it with a deep sigh. You ran your hands over the fabric, remember that it had been over a year since you felt it, over a year since you had last been in the tower. Over a year since you had said yes to going back home without realising it. Despite the aching and soreness that still resonated with you, you were happy to be back.
“What do you think you’re doing? You’re supposed to be in bed.” The voice of Rogers made you groan, shutting your eyes and pouting. You heard his footsteps and others stop in front of you, but you didn’t open your eyes to see who else was there. “You need to rest, Y/N. You’re still recovering.”
“Can I not recover in another room?” You commented in response. “I walked all the way down here by myself, and I’m fine. A change of scenery is nice. I’m going stir crazy.” You grumbled, finally peeking your eyes open, seeing Natasha, arms crossed, and Wanda.
“Doesn’t change the fact that you still absorbed the power of almost every infinity stone, as well as took the power of Wanda, Vision, Stark, Danvers and Thor, and like it or not, all that and the explosion itself damanged your body. How many broken ribs was that again?” Natasha asked, turning to Wanda.
“3.” She responded shortly.
“The powers Stan-Lee gave me means I just absorbed that stuff like a sponge. The broken ribs, cuts and bruises was technically from the rocks that fell on me after killing Thanos.” You pointed out.
“Doesn’t make it better, Y/N.” The voice of Bruce spoke up, and you sighed as he, Stark and Barton came into view now, and not long after, Thor, Pietro and Vision.
“This feels like Deja Vu” You commented with a grin, looking up at them as they stood over you, seeing some of them look confused at your commented. “Remember how we met? You guys surrounding me after I fell out my portal?” You reminded, and you saw recognition in the face of the original members.
“Stop trying to distract us- you’re due another dose.” Bruce reminded.
“Noooo. I’m fine. I don’t want anything else. Not yet.” You begged, crossing your arms.
“Y/N.” Stark said your name, sounding like a disappointed parent.
“No drugs. Not for a while. Please.” You insisted. “They knock me on my ass and make it hard for me to focus on anything. They make me sleep.”
“Which is what you need.” Clint pointed out.
“No.” You insisted, this time a lot sterner. “I just got back. I’ve barely been able to process it since I’m constantly drowsy or just asleep… From the day I said yes to Lee to send me back, I was told by everyone around me that this-” You insisted, waving your hand at them, and then poking the couch “Wasn’t real. I told them all about you guys, what I experience, felt both physically and emotionally, and they told me I just had an extremely long manic episode. Friends, family, medical professionals, everyone told me none of this is real, and after a year of that, I was genuinely starting to believe them. Now I’m back, and… I just… let me feel this. I want to be able to feel the fabric on the couch, to be able to hear you guys say my name when I’m resting… I need to feel this-” You said, now placing your fingers roughly against your bandaged side, making yourself wince at the pain “To know this is real, okay? That they were wrong- that I’m not having another so-called episode, that I’m actually here with you.” You insisted. The group remained silent, but their faces were solemn, processing your words, and your experience away from them. “No drugs.” You said, looking at Bruce.
“Alright… but we don’t want you in pain… so how about something a lot weaker and in smaller doses? It’ll make it bearable but… you’ll still be aware, conscious and in some pain, but able to walk around as long as you rest frequently.” Bruce bargained.
“I’ll take that.” You agreed. “Now can I please do something that doesn’t involve me being locked away in my room?” You asked.
“You mentioned a movie.” Wanda said, coming and sitting on the couch beside you. “You didn’t go into the details- just that you wanted the new movie about us, about what happened in Wakanda. You didn’t have much time to go over what happened. Will you tell us?” She asked. The team found their own seating, some pulling pieces closer, Steve and Tony sitting on the coffee table in front of you, Pietro sitting on the floor at your feet, Natasha seeing on the arm of the couch beside you, the others littered around, other than Vision and Thor who stood.
“...Actually there was more than one… there was one on Thor… though it seems with Bruce not going to space after Ultron, things happened different for him as well, but he was still able to reconnect with Loki, and another plus was Loki living… not sure how that happened, though.” You admitted, seeing Thor frown.
“You didn’t mention that part.” He commented quietly to himself.
“Then there’s the Guardians of the Galaxy movies- those were the aliens that helped us and the one human guy. For them, The green girl- Gamora, is Thanos’ adopted daughter and he was supposed to kill her to get the Soul Stone, but that didn’t happen either, so they’re happy.”
“What about the girl that you somehow knew Fury knew how to contact? Danvers?” Clint asked.
“She didn’t show up in this movie- but at the very end of it in the after credits, when everyone was turning to dust- including fury, he called her right before, and it showed her emblem, hinting at a movie with her soon.” You explained. “Thought it couldn’t hurt to have him all her before- throw everything at Thanos for the best possible outcome, y’know?” You shrugged.
“I have a question.” Tony spoke up. “When you came back- you told Peter he got ‘dusted’ as you put it, and that his senses realised something happened… who else? Out of the team?” Tony asked. You tensed a little at the question. You looked at everyone in front of you, your mind flashing to the images you saw on the big screen, how each one made your heart ache…
“Well… excluding those who were supposed to be dead already- looking at you, speedy… Peter, most of the Guardians other than Rocket and Gamora’s sister- her and Tony are the only ones who come back from the space travel adventure I stopped you going on- Dr Strange, T’Challa, Fury, Hill, Sam, Bucky, Wanda, the entirety of Clint’s family… and those who are supposed to die in the actual movie… Loki, Gamora, and Vision, all at the hands of Thanos.” You listed, your voice monotone, sounding tired. The room was awfully silent.
“Was that why you insisted on me not being involved at all in the fight?” Vision spoke up, and you nodded.
“You watched that? On a giant screen, you saw me, and the other turned to dust?” Wanda asked. Another nod. “And you came back to help us? Knowing if things went wrong, you’d have to see it all again?”
“Of course I did.” You smiled sadly at her. “Despite the year of everyone telling me this was all fake, that you didn’t exist… when I saw what happened to you all, I… I mourned. I mourned all the way home, and when I got there, Stan was right there waiting for me. Everything was raw in my mind, so when he gave me the chance to stop this happening to you, even at the expense of never seeing my family or old friends again or living a relatively safe life… It was worth it. A billion times over. And hey, by doing that, I also saved my world, even if they’ll never know it.” You smiled sadly.
“Well.” Tony sniffed,  running his hand over his face to hide any sign of being teary eyed. “In that case, we owe you a massive thank you… and how better than a giant party? Give it another week of course so you can actually dance a little.” Tony decided, making you chuckle.
“We’re not at risk of another Ultron thing though, right?” Clint jokes.
“Sorry guys, I’m no longer a prophet- this timeline is officially deviating from the original plot, and we just went through the latest movie for me- I have no idea what the future holds for us- but at least I’m not completely useless and have these cool new powers.” You joked.
“How’s ‘Rechargeable battery’ as a nickname?” Pietro asked as he stood up, heaving you up to your feet, wrapping your arm around his shoulder for support, making you laugh, even if you winced a little at the movement.
“We’ll discuss our new Avenger member’s superhero name while we organise a new medication plan in the lab.” Bruce said, pointing the way, the entire group going along with you, discussing the new party, who will be going, you and Thor vouching for Loki, Wanda and Pietro making song suggestions, the noise of bickering, laughing, and playful teasing within the group something you missed dearly, and so happy to have back.
You made the right decision, and you didn’t regret it. Not one bit.
Hope you like it! If you have any questions, please send them in!

I was thinking about a marvel and Harry Potter crossover. I mean not exactly but yes. That. Like where the characters are from Marvel but the whole universe is the wizarding world from HP books. I like the thought of that. Idk why?

This is a prompt i found in my drafts kinda like a really bad put together fic but enjoy lol
Wanda x Reader where they grew up together and went to struckers experience both thankfully surviving, Y/n has shapeshifting abilities like beast-boy & Martian manhunter so she can heal faster then a normal human, that’s why Pietro's alive bc she jumped infront of him.
Anyways, after Ultron Y/n kinda closes in on herself after almost dying (Wanda & Y/n are dating have been for awhile) She’s not smiling as bright or making jokes or pulling pranks like usual. Wanda drifts away from her thinking Y/n needed time by herself and she gets closer to Vision. Y/n sees this and pulls away even more bc she sees the way Wanda looks at him and it breaks her heart.
Pietro notices Y/n pulling away and takes her out to an arcade where they can just mess around and have fun. They’re eating pizza when he brings up that he has been noticing her pulling away from him and when he mentions Wanda she stiffens.
Pietro notices and asks if something happened between them and she says no but that’s the problem.
She tells him how she knows Wanda isn’t in love with her anymore how whenever she has free time she spends it with Vision.
How she does all the things she used to do with Y/n with Vision instead. Pietro’s heart breaks seeing Y/n cry and break down in his arms.
She’s always been like a big sister to him and it makes him angry at Wanda for treating her this way.
Even with Hydra Y/n kept her nonchalant dorky upbeat attitude always trying to bring light on such a dark time in their life’s and to see her break bc of Wanda hurt him.
When they get home Wanda and vision are cooking with them really close to each other Y/n leaves saying she needs to work off steam and Pietro walks toward them and tells Vision he needs to talk to Wanda (is totally rude to him too)
Wanda gets upset at the way he talks to him but pietro just speeds them away to his room confronts her about how she’s been acting with/ Y/n
Wanda realizes it but when Pietro asks Wanda if she still loves Y/n she realizes she doesn’t not in that way anymore.
Pietro looks disappointed in his sister and just leaves Wanda goes to find Y/n cuz they needs talk and she finds her in the gym sparring with Nat (them totaling getting their asses handed to them but Nats teaching her how to fight) she asks if she can talk to her and Nat leaves them.
They talk and Wanda spills how she’s feeling. “Yeah, I kinda figured it out a few weeks ago” she shrugs but inside her hearts shredding into pieces
“Does he make you happy?” Wanda says yes
“That’s all I want Wanda, that’s all I’ve ever wanted. If he makes you happy and treats you right who am I to stand in your way of happiness?”
Wanda tears up and hugs Y/n “Go get him!” y/n says with a strained smile but Wanda doesn't notice
Wanda leaves to tell Vision not noticing how Y/n’s world has just collapsed on top of itself. Pietro finds her that night chugging a bottle of whiskey. With another already empty.
“She doesn’t love me anymore” and then she breaks down, “I can’t stay here Pietro. I got an offer about a month ago from a man named Charles Xavier. They want me to go down and live with them at a mutant school says he can help me with my powers. At first I wasn’t going to take it because of you and Wanda but I don’t think I can be here Peet...I love you like my own brother and if you need me to stay here I will but-"
“No. If you need to leave I support you. You’ve always been here and protected us—me. Now it’s time you do something for yourself.”
Y/n talks to Natasha, Tony, and Steve about it and they agree that the Mutant schools the best.
As Y/n’s getting packed to leave Wanda barges in “You can’t leave!”
“I have to, it’s what’s best for me.”
“Is this because of me? You told me you wanted me to be happy! You leaving isn’t making me happy!”
“It’s not because of you” okay that’s a lie but it also wasn’t fully because of Wanda just mostly “The mutant school is what’s best for me. I have so much I have to learn with my powers and they can help. I do want you to be happy Wanda but what about my happiness?”
“Your right. I just don’t know what I’m supposed to do without you.”
“Pietros here and you’ll have Vision you’ll be alright.” Wanda internally flinches but knows you're right
She hugs Y/n “Don’t forget to call me”
“I will.” She never does.

Fandom: Marvel
Prompt: “You’re looking, but you’re not seeing.”
Summary: Pietro and Y/N have been dating for a while, and have often been put in charge of watching Wanda and Vision's kids. When they're left to spend some time watching Billy together, it might not be long before they're thinking about having kids of their own.

I smiled to myself as I watched my boyfriend, Pietro Maximoff, hold up a coin in front of his nephew's face. Billy frowned in concentration, staring hard at the coin in his uncle's hand. Pietro had done this trick twice already, but since Billy was still a toddler, he hadn't quite caught on to Piet's secret.
"Are you watching?"
Billy nodded intently, clearly taking this deadly seriously.
"Good. Then in three... two... one..." Pietro moved the coin closer to Billy and then further away with each number. Finally, after one, he moved his hand again and suddenly the coin was gone!
Since I'd dated the speedster for a few years now, I knew he'd just used his super speed to toss the coin into his other hand without Billy seeing. But Billy didn't have super speed, and he'd only recently turned four, so he didn't know that.
"What! Uncle Piet, where'd it go?" cried Billy. Pietro just grinned.
"Haven't you learned by now?"
Quickly, Billy's hands flew to his ears. Pietro (again with help from his super speed) had pulled the coin from Billy's ears twice in a row now.
Pietro shot me a smile while Billy felt his ears, and I smiled back. I always loved spending time with Wanda's kids, especially when Pietro and I were working together to babysit. He was just so good with them, it never failed to make my heart melt.
"Uncle Piet, it's not there!" Billy finally declared. Pietro just grinned at him, and reached forward slowly. With a super speedy wrist flick, he passed the coin from his off hand back into the one reaching for Billy's ear. Like the last two times, Billy didn't notice. Pietro paused a moment for dramatic effect, then pulled his hand away and showed Billy the coin resting in the palm of his hand. Billy's mouth dropped open in awe.
"Not bad, eh kiddo?"
Billy stared at the coin for another minute, then his head snapped back up to look at Pietro.
"How do you do that?"
"Magic," Pietro answered with a shrug.
"Uncle Pietro, you don't have magic! Only Mommy has magic!"
"How can you know that for sure? Your mommy's my sister. Maybe I have magic like her and just never told you."
Billy paused like he was really considering Pietro's words. Then, after a few moments of careful thinking, he looked back at Pietro and shook his head confidently.
"No, you and Mommy would have told me. You're fast and she's magic, just like Tommy's fast and I'm magic!"
"Hmm..." Pietro put his hand on his chin and pretended to think carefully. He looked at me like he wanted help finding the answer, and I nodded my agreement with Billy. Piet and I both looked back to Billy, who seemed very pleased to have made such a good point. "I guess you're right. I'm not magic. So you must need to pay attention more carefully when I do the trick."
Billy's mouth dropped open in outrage. "I paid attention! I was looking the whole time!"
"Ah, that's your problem," said Pietro, leaning back casually on his hands. I smiled and settled in to watch him. "You're looking, but you're not seeing."
Billy frowned, clearly not satisfied by his uncle's answer, so Piet sat forward again and held out the coin to show Billy.
"When I wave the coin in front of your face with my hand, I'm trying to get you to look at my hand, and only my hand. What you need to do is see what I'm trying to distract you from."
With that, Pietro went through the motions of his trick again. Billy watched intently, and when it came time for Pietro to toss the coin to his off-hand, this time he didn't use his super speed.
Billy's eyes went wide. "Were you really doing that every time?"
"I was, with a little more flare." With that, Pietro tossed the coin from one hand to the other again, this time using super speed. Billy's eyes went wide, and then he laughed.
"Uncle Pietro, that's cheating!"
"How is that cheating?" asked Pietro, playing mock offended. He put his hands on his chest like he'd been wounded, then turned to me. "My love, was I cheating?"
I shrugged. "You said you were doing a magic trick, and sneakily using powers definitely counts as a trick. Sorry Billy, my verdict is no cheating."
Billy threw up his hands like he couldn't believe us, and Pietro and I shared a laugh. I could've spent hours doing nothing and everything with these two boys, but unfortunately, we were supposed to get Billy back to Wanda in time for dinner. With a sigh, I stood and went over to Billy, holding my hands out in a peace offering.
"Come on, after all that magic I think it's time for us to go get some ice cream and get you back to your mom," I said. Billy instantly perked up, smiling at me excitedly as he took my hand.
"Yay! Let's go!"
He hopped off the chair he'd been sitting in and used his other free hand to grab Pietro's, pulling us along as he walked in the middle of us. As we headed out the door, I shared a soft smile with Pietro, my heart practically melting at the scene I got to be a part of.
As we walked Billy down the street to his favorite ice cream shop, swinging him between us as Pietro cracked jokes and Billy laughed like a maniac, I couldn't help imagining what it would be like for the two of us to have a kid of our own. And when I caught Pietro's eye as we handed Billy back off to Wanda and Vision a little later, I could tell he was thinking the exact same thing.
We were going to make great parents, whenever that day came.

A/N: Here is another installment I hope you guys like it. I’m slowly getting back into writing. I’ll see you next time hopefully with an update for Misunderstanding the Assignment!
Tumblr media
“What do you see when you look at me?” It was a simple yet loaded question. There was so much to see… Wanda had always been more than what the eye could see. There was too much context lost trying to explain it all in words. The good, the bad. The white, the black, the gray. You couldn’t look at her… that's why she asked. You settled for a simple answer. “Everything.” Time has passed and put your promise to the test. You showed up, but neither of you were the same. Maybe too much time had passed, but life as cruel as it was found a way to bring you both back into each other's life. “You’ve always known me better than everyone, even myself.” She was stating a fact that you weren’t sure was true anymore. “Stop looking away…” You couldn’t look at her because if you did start looking at her you weren’t sure you could stop. But she was Wanda… It wasn’t long before your eyes met hers. The first time in 10 years you let yourself fall into Her green eyes.
Wanda had this time obliged your request and from there on time started flying by. Prom came and soon enough you were sitting next to Natasha, her head on your shoulder. “This has been a very fun night.” You nodded. You didn't expect prom to go the way that it did. You'd envisioned things a little differently. But you couldn't complain Natasha was next to you all night and dancing with her was amazing. Wanda was there but she made herself scarce, You were thankful. You saw very little of her that night. Natasha knew that something had happened between the two of you, you didn’t tell her anything. Weirdly enough it didn’t feel right telling her. Natasha was swaying and tripping on herself so you took her to sit at a table. “I think you had enough of that punch” you chuckled. You saw Tony then Pietro spike the punch. “How about I take you home…” She was contemplating your offer. “Did she change your mind?” It wasn’t a reproach, just a question asked in a drunken stupor. “No…” There was no need to lie if anything what had happened steeled your resolve. “Then yes, you may take me home.” As easy-going that answer was, you saw that relief flood her body. You hated that you made her feel like that but all you could do was reassure her. You didn’t speak after that, you just made your way back home in silence. Natasha was out and in bed before you could even say goodbye.
Yelena caught you on your way out. Well more so she was waiting for you cornering you if you will. “I may hate Natasha with every fiber of my being, but she is my sister.” She started not leaving any room for you to interrupt her. “Do you see what I’m getting at?” You nodded. “If you ever treat her wrong Y/n I will have no qualms in committing murder.” You were scared more so because she was being completely honest. “I like you Y/n, so I’m asking you not to mess up here.” You nodded. “I promise you to do good by Natasha.” She seemed pleased with your answer and started retreating. “And Yelena… I like you too.” She didn’t bother looking back. “Yeah of course you do what's not to like.” You chuckled and made your way back to your house. Tony was waiting for you sitting on your front door steps. “Can you believe that We made it?” You immediately recognized this not often seen side of Tony. You sit down next to him and lay your head on his shoulder. You sigh and interlock your arm around his.
“If I'm being completely honest, no I can’t.” He nods. “How’d we even get here?” You noticed the far away look in his eyes. He sighed and spoke his thoughts “It feels like a dream.” It was your turn to nod, there was no other way to explain what you were feeling. “I didn’t think we’d make it past fifth grade…” He was referring to your friendship. Tony was never a loner he always had friends, but fifth grade was a difficult year for him consequently for you too. “You were such a dick.” You conceded “You were forgetting about me…” He confessed quietly. You pulled away and saw the tears brimming his eyes. “That’s not even remotely true.” You assure him. “But, you were. I didn’t like how that felt so I made sure you didn’t.” You let him keep talking. “Wanda became so Important… And I want you to move on and be happy I do, but you leaving feels a lot like that.” You took a moment and turned to him. “I cannot physically forget you, you are my best friend. My brother from another mother.” He chuckled. “I promise that I will never forget you. And if you at any point feel that I am, please feel free to be a dick to me whenever you’d like.” He laughed this time. “We’ve come too far Tony, you and me for that to just go away.” You both sat there looking at the sky for a moment. “It will all workout.” You sighed and stood up. “Come on, I bought another lego set a couple of days ago. It should be in the garage.”
Everything was starting to move faster and faster leading up to graduation. It was getting out of hand but before you knew it you were in line waiting to walk across the stage. You were all sitting on the edge of your seat. You almost rolled your eyes when the principal announced the valedictorian speaker. Vision… His speech was formidable, and you found yourself genuinely clapping for him at the end of it. After that it moved rather quickly name after name being called, and loud cheering from the audience. It all felt unreal, it would officially all be over in the matter of minutes. You saw them all walk that stage. First was Pietro; he brought laughs and cheers from all over the auditorium, his backflip being the reason. Then consequently came Wanda, she looked happy, her eyes scanned the audience and her eyes met yours. Her eyes watered, but they stayed on you. You gave a small nod and a tight smile and that was that. A couple of minutes later Natasha was walking down the stage and you could not look away, you didn’t want to. Her eyes found yours immediately she smiled and waved at you. Then came Tony who had nonchalantly avoided shaking hands with anyone on the stage just taking his diploma and walking off stage.
As for you, you just took it all in. Took your diploma and smiled when your picture was taken. Then you saw Natasha and suddenly it wasn’t so overwhelming. It was something that you were truly looking forward to. It would be you and her for the time being starting this new chapter. If you were sure about anything it was that it would be worth it. The ceremony let out and you met with all of your family and your friends which at this point was only Tony and Natasha. Taking pictures to commemorate the day. You left with Natasha by your side. "You know that I never thought we'd get another chance to be friends." Natasha sighed. "I knew even back then that I'd most likely never see you in person again." You nodded listening to her talk. She had insisted on driving you somewhere special to show you a surprise. "Moving to Russia is not something a friendship usually survives. Especially not a childhood one." You nodded listening and hanging on to every last word. "I was scared..." She admitted softly. "That one day you'd stop caring for me, that you'd stop calling." You kept quiet knowing you didn't need to say anything. Listening would be enough. "And for the longest time it bothered me to no end."
"And then, it was me who stopped calling." You nodded remembering the first month that she skipped all your weekly calls. It still stung, you'd had a crush on her already. "You saw through it Nat, It would've only crashed and burned." You tried to soothe her. She shook her head. "Where would we be if i didn't do that... And, you... You still called on my Birthday. Even when I stopped calling on yours." You'd made it to a small orchid with beautiful trees. You parked on the side of the door.. She rushed and helped you out of her car, she held your hand and didn't let go. "Before I left mom brought me here. Thinking back she was probably very much aware..." She looked thoughtful but didn't elaborate. You accepted her silence, not really reading into it, your mind too enthralled with the fact that she was holding your hand. It was a beautiful day, you still had time to kill before all the graduation parties began.  "I think it's here..." She mumbled. You were curious to find out what it was.
Her hand squeezed yours when she saw what she was looking for. "Look." she ran her free hand along a tree her finger tracing the grooves. It was engraved. 'Nat + Y/n 4 ever' A nice heart encircled the two names. Natasha chuckles her mother definitely knew. "This... Wow." You were speechless. "When?" You managed to ask. "The week I found out we were leaving. It seemed fitting to do then." She smiled looking back at you. Your smile grew. "I'm only hoping it seems fitting now?" She asked suddenly, feeling self conscious. "We were totally in love with each other back then weren't we?" You say chuckling. She nods, but she doesn't say anything else, still waiting for you to answer. "I think this is very much fitting for us." She smiles lightly, biting her lip. "You think so?" You match her smile. "Yup" She moves quickly. Her hands grab your face as she pulls you towards her. When her lips meet yours it feels like the world stopped spinning, like the universe had been waiting for this to happen and it sighed in relief when it finally did. You didn't want to pull away. "You're telling me our parents knew we were gay?" She laughed in your arms.
It was a beautiful day worthy of this moment. She was ethereal the way her eyes lit up just captured your attention, there was no other place you'd rather be. "I was crushing on you for the longest time." You confessed. "Really? You never said anything." She wasn't exactly shocked by your revelation, but she was curious. "Well, I wasn't exactly sure how to address the fact that I had romantical feeling for my long distance best friend that I talked to maybe once a month." She chuckled. "That makes sense... Before Wanda?" Wanda was still a sore subject for Natasha. All you wanted was to reassure her. "Before... and after." She nodded. "There wasn't a choice Nat. I'd pick you, I promise you from this moment on." She smiled. "Well if it wasn't obvious I too have romantical feelings for you too." You laugh. "I'd say you do!" You say running your hand through the inscription on the tree. "I want you... us, to have the love story we deserve. So I'll make my intentions clear." Natasha was confident now and you loved it. "I want you to be my girlfriend, I want to be in your life as long as you want me in it." You smiled. "I want that too." You said softly. "Good... But I want to do this the right way. I don't want to rush us." You nod. "I can do that with you. As long as I get some kisses here and there, You know every once in a while." She pretends to think about it. "I think we can make that work." You nodded, extending your hand for her to shake. "Well that settles it then."
The night was still young, and you were very giddy. Tony was the one hosting the party everyone wanted to be at so your street was already crowded. “I’ll never get over the fact that Tony has this much influence over others.” Natasha mentions as she pulls into her driveway. “He’s a good guy, people wouldn’t follow him if he wasn’t. They follow him for the right reason.” You say. “I guess that's true.” You laugh. “Pepper will mellow his ego out, you’ll see. There’s no need to fear for the future.” You tease her. “Plus he’s made it very clear he’s not going to let us disappear from his life so, we’ll also humble him here and there.” She laughs. “We have a busy couple of months ahead of us so let’s enjoy this night.” You mention all the planning that needs to be made before you can actually begin this new chapter. “You’re right. I’ll get changed and meet you at yours in 20?” You nod. You practically skipped all the way home. It wasn't much distance but you skipped nonetheless.

There were moments in life where tough decisions had to be made. The impact of those choices would have an irreversible effect on life.
Marriage was one of those tough decisions. Spending the rest of your life with someone you love should be an easier decision. However, nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce.
Falling out of love with someone takes twice as much effort as falling in love with them. The question at hand was if you could wait for the love of your life to fall into that divorce statistic.
Your best friend was getting married. The woman you spent hours on the phone with, the woman who you've held in your arms, the woman that blushed when you looked her in the eyes, was getting married.
Wanda loved Vis. You couldn't deny that. It was in the way she spoke about him. The light in her eyes when he complimented her. The way she bit her lip when he rested his hand on her lower back.
You knew if he proposed, she'd say yes. There was always heavy doubt in your mind that he would ever propose. It was obvious to you that Wanda loved him, but you were less convinced that he loved her.
That's not to say he was affectionate or caring towards her, but there were times when you doubted his motives. There were things that he changed about Wanda, little instances where he corrected something he wasn't fond of.
For example, Wanda had an accent, being from Sokovia. She never had any issues with her accent before him. It wasn't until he commented on it that she started trying to hide it.
He changed a lot of little things that you love about Wanda. She insisted that she was just growing up and that these things happen over time, but you knew it was directly correlated to him.
There was no outward hatred of Vis on your part. You did your best to play the role of Wanda's best friend. For her sake, you treated him like he was a friend. All malice remarks and criticism stayed only in your mind.
However, the closer it got to the wedding, the more your mask slipped. The first instance being when Wanda asked you to be in the wedding. There was a snort of sorts before you declined.
She was taken aback. Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Why wouldn't her best friend want to be part of her wedding? You played it off as general scheduling conflicts, stating you wouldn't be able to be as involved as she needed you too.
She didn't let you completely off the hook, playfully demanding that you do a speech. Something that you begrudgingly agreed to.
Going to the wedding was giving you anxiety. You didn't want to fuck up Wanda's big day. It wasn't fair to her that you couldn't get your shit together. You'd be there for her no matter how much it hurt you.
" If it's any consolation, I'd always thought I'd be walking her to you," you stood outside the wedding venue, Pietro's voice bringing you back to the present.
He was wearing a dark blue suit. His shaggy hair was slicked back for the occasion and his face was clean-shaven.
You sigh to hold back your tears," That helps a little, I guess."
He rests a hand on your shoulder," I'm not leaving your side today, okay? I know you need the support."
" Thanks, Piet," the two of you walk into the venue together.
Your eyes took in the details in the venue. It was beautiful, traditional, but beautiful nonetheless. Pietro walked you to the front row, your seat reserved next to his.
You'd be steps away from where it was all happening. Your heart ached, but you smiled and greeted everyone like you were fine.
When the ceremony was about to start, Vis appeared on the altar. He looked plain, black suit, only one piece short of a tacky prom outfit.
Pietro took that as his sign to go find Wanda. Leaving you alone as the wedding party began to make their entrance. The bridesmaid and the groomsmen walked out first, followed by the flower girl, Morgan Stark.
She personally handed you one of the flower petals, and you smiled brightly at her. Though the smile was genuine, the pain in your chest rang out as you noticed that this was all too real.
Then you heard the beginning of here comes the bride. Everyone turned in their spot to get a view of Wanda.
When you saw her, you were overwhelmed with emotion. There was nothing you could do as tears fell down your face. She was… everything.
The dress only worked to highlight her natural beauty. The intricate details of the white dress were magnificent. She didn't have a veil, her piercing green eyes on full display.
You could hardly tear your eyes off of her. Then she walked past you onto the altar. Vis was smiling at her, and she smiled at him.
Pietro risked a glance at you, and when he saw you crying, his heart broke too. He knew how much you loved his sister, this was one of the cruelest form of punishment that he ever witnessed.
It wasn't until Wanda cleared her throat that he noticed it was time to give her away," I- I am."
Then he took a seat by you, holding his hand in yours.
Your legs were spread wide, so that your elbows could rest on your knees. You were trying your best to hide the way your body was trembling. Most people would just assume you were extremely happy for your friend, but in reality your heart was on fire.
The minister led the ceremony, and it was all a blur for you until the vows.
" Vis, I never thought I'd be getting married until the day I met you. I didn't know anything was missing from my life until you showed up. I couldn't imagine being up here with anyone else. I love you and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
The minister turns to Vis, waiting for him to recite his vows. There was a long pause. Then you saw it, he was trembling. Sweat covered the top of his forehead. His eyes began to dart around the room.
" Vis," Wanda tried to get his attention discreetly. He took a step back from her.
" I- Wanda I'm sorry, I can't do this," he stormed down the aisle away from Wanda.
Your eyes widened, what just happened? Pietro was out of his seat in an instant, anger crowding his face. He chased the runaway groom.
Wanda had sprinted from the altar, all of her bridesmaids as well as you in tow.
Fuck.
What the fuck was happening?
" She locked the door," Natasha was banging on the door," Wanda, please let us in."
You watched as they all tried to get her to open the door.
" Is there a window ?" You asked.
" Definitely," Yelena answered you.
You were running out of the building in minutes, looking for the 3rd story window. Through one of the thin curtains, you were certain you saw Wanda's silhouette.
Years ago, climbing up the side of a building would've been easy for you, now not so much. Each step was one of trial and error. Sweat coated your hands, making it hard to find something to grip.
When you finally reached the window, luck was on your side. With one push it opened inward allowing you to tumble through and land with a thud on the floor.
" Jesus Christ, I'm not as young as I used to be," you groaned against the wooden floor.
" Y/n," Wanda rushed to your side, helping you off the floor," Why would you do that?"
" You weren't opening the door," she looked away when you said that.
" I just need to be alone," Wanda's voice trembled as she spoke.
Ignoring her words, you slowly stand and wrap your arms around her. Her head instinctively falls on your shoulder," I don't think you should be alone right now."
She starts silently crying into your shoulder as you rub calming circles on her back," Why did he do this to me, Y/n?"
" Anyone who is stupid enough to ever walk away from you, never deserved you in the first place," you hold her a little tighter as you say it.
" I did everything he wanted. I changed so many little things that he insisted were making me better. I- i just don't understand," her accent comes out strong in her distress.
" Look at me," she slowly raises her head to meet your gaze," This isn't your fault. You're perfect. Everything about you is absolutely extraordinary. If he got scared and insecure enough to run away, then he wasn't ready for a woman like you."
She shakes her head," He left me at the altar, Y/n. I'm the one who looks stupid."
Your voice is soft when you speak," No, you don't. He's just run away from the best thing that would've ever happened to him, and everyone here knows that. If anyone looks stupid, it's him."
She takes in your words. You can see her processing them in her mind. She deflects," Maybe it was for the best, you looked like a wreck out there."
You crack a smile at her joke," Was I not supposed to be emotional?"
She chuckled," You were in tears before I even took my first step."
A blush spread across your face," You took my breath away. The dress, the makeup, the hair; how could I not cry?"
There was a banging on the door," Pietro's going to kill him."
You and Wanda shared a look before rushing out the room. Natasha was on the other side, waiting.
She led you two to the commotion outside. Apparently, Pietro had dragged the runaway groom all the way back to the venue.
Wanda's hand flew over her mouth as she saw her brother wailing on Vis. She was going to enter the fray to stop it, but you did it first.
You yanked Pietro off of the man, who then stood quickly. You positioned yourself between them," Enough!"
" Y/n he deserves it," Pietro tried to move past you, but you wouldn’t let him.
" But she doesn't," your eyes shift over to Wanda and her brother instantly calms down.
Vis interrupts," Oh, get off your high horse Y/n. I know you're probably happy I didn't go through with it anyway. Seeing as everyone knows, you're hopelessly in love with Wanda."
You turn your attention to him," I'm trying to save your ass right now. You've already embarrassed yourself by walking away from the best thing to ever happen to you. So I suggest that you continue to walk away and never come back."
He gets in your face, but you stand your ground," She'll never love you."
" I can live with that a lot easier now that she's not marrying a loser like you," you smile brightly at him.
He tries to punch you, but you grab his arm and twist up behind his back. Then you push him away from you.
He's seething as he looks at the crowd and his eyes land on his would've been bride," No one will ever love you like I did."
" I think that's the point," you rebuttal.
For a moment it looks like he's coming back, but then Pietro stands right beside you, staring him down. Almost begging him to come back.
Vis, walks away and doesn't look back.
The room is silent as they try to process all the drama that just transpired.
" I feel like we all need a drink after that," Natasha breaks the intense silence, earning a few chuckles from the guests.
Wanda perks up," She's right, we can't let all of this go to waste. We might as well have a good time."
Everyone begins to chatter and servers begin bringing around platters. It's almost as if things were normal.
You took this as a sign to slip outside of the venue, away from the reinvigorated party. You took a seat on the steps as Vis's words rang through your head at a thunderous volume.
You felt embarrassed. Your feelings were thrown out in the open without consent. It didn't matter if everyone already knew, it was just something no one brought up. They'd all heard it, and you didn't deny it.
" Y/n," Pietro plopped down next to you," You alright?"
" Trying to be, but it's hard when everyone knows you're in love with your best friend who was supposed to get married," you bury your head in your hands.
" I hate to tell you this, but a lot of them already knew. You don't necessarily hide your feelings."
You groan, and he rests a hand on your back," I bet a drink will make you feel better."
" If I'm going to wallow, I might as well go home," you mumble into your hands.
" I think you should talk to her."
You meet his eyes," Well I think she's been through enough today; and as her best friend I can tell you the last thing she needs is me confessing my love for her."
Pietro sighs and with a dry laugh says," Always thinking about what's best for her, even when you're at your lowest."
You shrug," Can't help it, she's always on my mind."
The two of you sit silently after that. Pietro's company keeps you grounded. The thoughts that you had before, no longer so overwhelming.
" Hey."
You both turn your heads to see Wanda standing atop of the steps. No longer in her wedding gown, but still wearing a semiformal romper.
Pietro stands up from his spot and offers it to his sister. She takes the spot next to you. He gives you a nod before returning into the venue.
" I brought cake," she hands you a slice as a peace offering.
" Thanks," you take a bite and a tiny grin appears," It's good cake."
You eat the cake in silence as you feel her eyes taking in your appearance. She wants to ask you about it, you can feel it.
" This day was eventful in all the ways I didn't want it to be," she says half jokingly," My fiancé left me at the altar, he fought my brother, and tried to punch my best friend. Natasha told me I had bad taste, but fuck."
" You'll find someone else, hopefully someone better than him," you tell her.
She plays with the ring on her finger," You want to know what else Natasha told me?"
" What?"
She continues staring at her ring," Years ago, when Vis and I officially became boyfriend and girlfriend, she told me I didn't need a boyfriend because I had you."
You felt your skin flash hot in an instant," What does that have to do with anything?"
She laughs lightly," I said that same thing. Natasha told me that you were my soulmate. That I'd never find someone to love me better than you did. I was young then, confused. I didn't understand what she was implying, but I think I get it now."
She turns so that she's facing you," Not everyone climbs through windows to comfort their best friend, they don't break up fights between their brother and ex-fiance, they don't stick around after having their private feelings exposed in front of tons of people. The only person I can think of that would do all those things is you."
" Wanda, we don't have to talk about this right now."
She grabs one of your hands," We do because I've been an idiot. You've been right here the whole time, and I have taken you for granted."
You keep your hopes low," What are you trying to say?"
She takes a deep breath," I'm saying I know I just got left at the altar and I probably shouldn't be doing this right now, but you're my best friend. There's no one who knows me like you do, and if you don't mind taking a chance on me, I'd like to take you out sometime."
You blink at her, mouth agape. She looks at you with her eyes shining. Everything seems unreal.
" A-are you asking me out?"
She nods," I'm asking you out."
You can't help the wide smile that plasters itself on your face," Yes, I'll go out with you."
Your heart is pumping with adrenaline. You are in utter disbelief about what's happening. Wanda was getting married earlier today, and now you were going on a date with her.
Completely caught up in the fact that she asked you out, you were blindsided when her lips touched yours. The red head surged forward and planted her lips on yours.
Her hand rested on the back of your neck, keeping you close to her. Your lips cascaded over hers in pure bliss. When she pulled away, your eyes were still closed.
" You just kissed me," you said, touching your lips.
" I did," she beamed at you.
" Do it again."
And she did. She kissed you numerous times before you both went back to the ex-wedding party. The day that you were dreading the most turned out to have a pretty sweet ending.

Hank Pym taught me that there are choices beyond programming! Janet Van Dyne, that there was beauty in the smallest of people. Pietro Maximoff, that if one's father is evil, it does not mean the child must be! Clint Barton, that there is no such thing as a powerless man! And Wanda, my dear Wanda... taught me that even an android can love!

in defense of the scarlet witch
i am unwell
but i don't think Wanda was 100% unjustified in what she did. since we've met her in the mcu she's been abused and tormented and forced to watch everyone she loves die.
Tumblr media
first, her home is attacked and her parents killed, and she hides under a bed for two days just waiting to die. that alone is a traumatic event worthy of some mental breaks.
but THEN
she's tortured and manipulated and experimented on by HYDRA.
Tumblr media
we're never told how long the twins were with Struker, and we don't know what exactly he did to them. but whatever they - and Wanda specifically - endured at the hands of HYDRA must've taken a emotional and physical toll. yet again, a trauma worth lashing out over.
but Wanda doesn't lash out completely because she has one stabilizing force in her life: her brother.
Tumblr media
Pietro is selfless and kind, and he's always taking care of Wanda. every problem she has, he fixes. everything she asks of him, he does. they live a life based entirely on a symbiotic, co-dependent relationship.
and than Pietro makes a decision without consulting Wanda.
Tumblr media
he sacrifices himself, selfless to the very end. and it seems to be the very first time that selflessness wasn't directed at his sister. it was the very first time Pietro ever saw something as being more important than Wanda.
what a betrayal that must've been. Wanda's the younger twin, she's never before lived in a world where Pietro wasn't by her side. she's never known a single moment when she had to do anything alone. he left her completely by herself, one half of a whole. no roadmap, no hand to hold, no one to kiss her forehead and say I'll fix it
if you ask me, after all she's been through, her Ultron-Fight grieving was an underreaction
Tumblr media
her twin is dead and her city is in ruins. she's taken away from everything she's ever known, away from the country her brother and parents are buried in, and taken to a place where she knows no one and nothing.
she's a young woman with the weight of years of anger and trauma on her shoulders. she has no family and new powers she doesn't understand. it's a miracle her mind hadn't broken already.
and than, because of powers she didn't ask for and can't understand yet, she's labled a "weapon of mass destruction"
Tumblr media
she's told she's a monster, that she's dangerous and people should fear her. her agency is taken from her on the grounds that she's more weapon than woman.
even through all of this, Wanda keeps her composure, and she's able to find a light in her life. to fill the hole that Pietro left.
Tumblr media
for a brief window of time, she's happy. she's content. she's not an Avenger or a prisoner. she's just Wanda. she's in love and she's unbothered.
but Wanda's happiness never lasts.
she's forced into a corner. forced to choose between killing the love of her life and letting the entire universe die. she can't be selfish, she's an Avenger, a hero. and at the core of her being, she's a good person.
she makes an unbearably painful sacrifice - a sacrifice that doesn't even amount to anything - and she bears it.
Tumblr media
(THEN SHE GETS DUSTED FOR FIVE YEARS!!)
and this is the last straw. she's been so strong for so long, fighting off her demons and trying not to let her brokenness show.
she's tried to move on, tried to simply remember the love she once had, but it's all too much. she's so powerful that her long-due mental break manifests itself in something she didn't ever mean to happen.
but she just can't bring herself to stop it. she's finally found a place where she's safe.
Tumblr media
she finally has a family. all she's ever really wanted.
and it's taken from her. again.
other people can make all the mistakes they want, be as dangerous and reckless as they want, hurt as many people as they want, and still get to live happily ever after. but not Wanda.
througout Wanda's whole story, she's been searching for hope - in SHEILD/HYDRA, in the Avengers, in Vision - and the black magic of the Darkhold gives her that hope.
but it warps her mind. it seduces her with the promise of that coveted happily ever after. it brings all the worst parts of her into the foreground, all the grief and longing and pain. it changes this beautiful, loving woman into what she always feared she was: the bad guy.
Tumblr media
Wanda Maximoff has spent so much time trying to stay strong, trying to ignore all the trauma she's been put through, but when she finally lets herself actually grieve - as what she is, a mourning mother - what does Stephen Strange tell her?
Instead of sympathizing and offering help, he tells her that her children weren't real. In that one sentence he invalidates her pain, and all the other pains that came before it. She's had everything taken from her, and all she's asking is to be given one thing back. She's not asking for much.
She said she didn't want to rule everything, she just wanted to be a wife and a mother, and be loved.
This part of Wanda's story is not a "villian turn" it is the end of a very long rope. She’s been pushed to the breaking point too many times. It is a worn down mind finally snapping.
Wanda Maximoff is not a villian, she's a tragedy.
