ANYWHO! this does have a happy/hopeful ending so no worries! also picturing this beefcake for this story is AGHHHHHHH!
Tumblr media
you never thought two lines on a stick could ever break your heart the way they did.
tears clouded your vision as you gripped the counter, trying not to crumble or succumb to your grief.
6 weeks ago, the avengers lost. everything.
half of the world, gone in a moment.
in one moment, your world collapsed. seeing bucky fade to dust right in front of you...
sobs wracked through your body as you crumbled to the ground.
this was supposed to be a happy moment. there should be tears of joy, not sobs of sorrow. your heart should feel full of love, not like there's a super-soldier sized hole in it.
"y/n," nat's voice rang outside the door, giving you a moment to yourself.
"just-," you tried to level your breathing before she opened the door, knowing but not understanding the grief you were feeling.
she wrapped her arms around your body, tucking your head into her neck as she gently rubbed your back soothingly. steve leaned against the bathroom door, glancing on the counter to see what they had all expected.
a positive pregnancy test.
you were having bucky's baby.
without bucky.
you gripped his dog tags that you had been wearing since the funeral. they were the only thing that could truly ground you.
they brought back happy memories of cuddling in bed, the cool metal shocking your skin for only a moment before realizing that it was only bucky and smiling at the memory.
god, it hadn't even been two months.
how were you supposed to do this alone?
"we're here for you," steve's voice called from the doorway, as if he could hear your thoughts. "you'll never be alone. not in this... not ever." he shook his head, his brows furrowed in a serious, straight line.
eventually, your sobs subsided. you stood with nat from your seat on the ground, wiping your own eyes mustering up a pathetic smile before she left you and steve to work out your grief together.
"we didn't even know it was possible," you shrugged. "it's like he sent me them..." you placed your hand on an invisible bump before facing steve, his teary eyes reminding you that he had lost his best friend, too. "he sent us this baby."
you reached your hand out for steve to hold. he took it gratefully and pulled you into his arms, hugging you tight and letting only a few tears slip his waterline before pulling back.
"if you'll let me, i want to be there for you for everything," his chin wobbled. "buck would kick my ass if i let you go through this alone." a genuine laugh left your lips for the first time in nearly two months.
"i would be so grateful for that," you nodded as you let go of his arms. "part of me still can't believe that it's real. it's like part of me still expects him to walk into the compound from a long mission or something..." you shook your head. "i know that sounds so stupid."
"it's not," he shook his head with a smile. "it's what i wish was true, maybe it's your subconscious trying to preserve your mind?"
"maybe," you shrugged before continuing, "i should probably talk to tony and bruce, huh?"
-
you knew you were around eight weeks along.
according to the doctors' tony had enlisted, however, you were already 12 weeks along, which was impossible.
bucky had been gone on a mission at that time... but it's whatever. you got to hear the heartbeat. steve went with you, too. you both bawled together. you kept three copies of the ultrasound and he kept two.
banner had already offered to do some testing on the dna of the baby, noting that the serum would likely affect the pregnancy (as it probably already has).
you had talked to tony about retiring from the whole superhero gig for the time being. you needed to mourn and prepare for a new life simultaneously. tony had promised to provide anything you needed at the drop of a hat, and he sure as hell delivered.
within no time, your pregnancy was being measured at 20 weeks while only being pregnant for 12. banner was concerned for your body's ability to keep up with the rapid rate of growth of the baby. he had you on a strict, hefty diet with two different prenatal vitamins in attempt to help your nutrition.
in spite of your best efforts, you were always exhausted and in pain. but you wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. this was bucky's baby. you didn't care how much pain you went through when you had half of him growing inside of you.
you couldn't walk for long without feeling like passing out, which banner chalked up to low iron. steve had grown progressively more worried for you and the baby the longer the pregnancy went on.
as a result, he had moved into the spare room that was in your and bucky's house. truly, it just made it easier for him to help you finish up the nursery anyway.
he was very handy about it all, painting, building furniture from scratch, the whole deal.
"i've been thinking... and if it's a girl, i want to name her evangeline james barnes," you informed steve as you ate the steak he had been making for the past few weeks of your pregnancy, as ordered by dr. banner. that with carrots, broccoli, potatoes, and for dessert strawberries, blueberries and raspberries over ice cream. "and if it's a boy, cyrus james barnes. evangeline means good news, and cyrus means sun."
steve placed his hand over yours, "i think buck would've loved them." he smiled warmly as you downed the food in a few minutes.
you had begun showing soon after you found out you were pregnant, but now, it felt like it was impossible to hide. nat had been wonderful about helping you keep up with the changes your body was going through, getting you new maternity clothes every week.
she even made sure to get you every single craving that wasn't in accordance to banner's hefty diet. not that he didn't want you to eat more, he thought it was best you did! but he also wanted to make sure that with all that you did eat, your body got as many nutrients as possible.
just to be safe, he kept you on other vitamin supplements anyway.
you couldn't help but imagine what bucky would say or do about everything now.
he would hold your body closely, pressing firm kisses to your bump every chance he could get while whispering some sickly sweet sayings to your unborn child, words that would melt the winter soldier's cold exterior.
he would whisper words of encouragement any moment you felt worried about your abilities to be a mom. he would say how beautiful you were, in spite of being bloated in places you didn't know could bloat.
he would be wonderful, and in your mind, he was still alive and vibrant. well, as vibrant as bucky ever was, at least.
truthfully, that's the only way you were able to keep going on like this. steve was wonderful, but you couldn't help but want the love of your life by your side as you tried to navigate this new chapter.
in a couple more weeks, you were projected to be at 32 weeks. bruce and tony were talking with your doctors about the safety of inducing so early, both for you and the baby.
oh, and you wanted the gender to be a surprise.
and within the week, you were having your baby.
steve and nat were by your side during the birth, whispering encouraging words and compliments of your strength.
"i need him!" you screamed in pain as you held one of each of their hands, sobbing in agony. "i need james! i need my bucky! i can't do this alone, i can't-i can't!"
"you can," nat reminded you. "this baby needs you," she held your face to look at hers. "bucky is a part of this baby." you swore you could see tears in her eyes before turning to face steve.
"remember what you told me when you found out you were pregnant?" he didn't bother wiping the tears from his face. "bucky sent you-sent us this baby. he knows you can do it." you sniffled before nodding at your two best friends, pushing with one last scream and a second later, you had...
"cyrus james barnes," the nurse called to you. "it's a boy, congratulations mom."
-
the next few years went by quicker than you could've ever imagined.
crawling, first words, first steps...
you missed bucky. not a day passed where you didn't miss him.
but, having cy helped a lot. he looked just like his father. dark brown hair, icy blue eyes, a cute little nose... not to mention his father's stubbornness.
you made sure he knew who his father was. you took him to the museum often, showing him the statue of his father and his background in the world war, him saving the world so much. you told him how you fell in love with him.
how you fell for the quiet man before ever really talking to him. how you were partners on a long-term, undercover mission and that's where your love ignited from the sparks.
not that cy understood any of what you told him. you just felt it was important to know that his parents loved him, and each other dearly.
you never took off his dog tags, either.
steve was a huge help the whole time. he kept working for the avengers, so he was gone often, but he provided a good male role model for cyrus. after all, he was his uncle steve. he already taught him how to throw a ball, albeit a little softball, but it counts!
you made sure to document everything that went on in yours and cyrus's life.
banner had said that cyrus was growing at an exceeding rate, but nothing to be concerned about. in fact, cyrus was turning five in almost half a year, meaning the anniversary of bucky's death, or disappearance or whatever you called it, was coming up.
then, you got a call from tony and banner.
it all happened so quickly, from testing to planning to the execution. pepper watched cyrus for you while you went back with steve, scott, and tony to get the tesseract.
of course, the men being men had to come upon a few hiccups, but eventually, after going as far back as the 70s, you brought back the tesseract.
the only thing is that nat never came back...
next thing you know, bruce is snapping his fingers and clint is getting a call from his supposedly deceased wife. your eyes fill with tears, hands searching in your pockets for your phone to see if you've gotten anything yet.
is it possible he wasn't brought back? he was the first to... disintegrate. die. maybe that meant something in the eyes of the stones?
then, you felt a buzz in your hand.
although, you didn't have any time to try to grasp what that meant, because more aliens came to earth.
shocker.
after yet another war, one that you weren't even prepared for, after losing more people, again. after losing tony...
but amidst the chaos of the aftermath of the fight, with screams of joy and shock and grief surrounding you, tears streaming down your face, your eyes met the blue ones you only saw in your son.
he slowly walked towards you as the tears sped up. you didn't even realize when your feet began running towards him.
when his arms wrapped around your waist, you finally felt the home you thought you had come to terms with never feeling again. your arms wrapped around his neck, your face buried in his shoulder as you breathed in the scent of gunmetal that had overtaken him in the battle.
"oh my god," you cried into the leather of his jacket. he lifted you off the ground, your legs wrapping around his waist as you felt his smile on your cheek. "i can't believe you're really here."
"i'm here, doll," his hands cradled your head so tenderly. "i'm not ever leaving again. never."
you pulled back before your eyes widened in realization. "you've gotta meet someone, jamie."
his brows furrowed in confusion, just smiling and nodding along with whatever you said.
within the next few hours, simply being held by bucky before steve stole him away with a hug, you finally brought him home.
"so, steve moved in," you started as you pulled your car into the driveway, turning to see bucky looking at you with an incredulous look. "you'll see why." you reached to hold his hand before he brought yours to his lips, pressing a kiss there.
you told him to wait in the car as you went inside to relieve the babysitter for cyrus. after giving him some cash, he went outside, knocking on your car window to let bucky know he should make his way inside.
upon entering, he saw you sitting on the floor with a little boy with striking blue eyes that seemed so familiar to him. his nose, too. his lips though, they were all yours. he had a slight grin plastered on his lips, one that matched yours to a t.
"daddy?" suddenly, it all clicked.
his heart, his mind, his fucking soul, everything made sense now. the pain, hydra, the mind washing, the torture.
meeting you. falling in love. dying?
his son.
he started walking closer to bucky before the steady walk turned into a run. bucky knelt down, wrapping the boy in his arms, cradling his tiny frame in his arms protectively. his son.
"cyrus james barnes," you said with a teary smile on your face. bucky, without breaking the hug with his son, looked up at you with a smile that matched yours. "cyrus means 'sun', and i thought it was fitting. he brought me so much light and hope after you..." you choked up before he stood up with cy in his arms, walking towards you before wrapping you in the big, family hug.
"i love you so much, both of you."

Let’s Talk about the Multiverse of Madness (objectively)
This is your only warning about spoilers for this movie so if you don’t have ‘spoilers’ blacklisted you have been warned. Also, this is gonna get pretty dark so also be warned for that.
Now that I have gotten the hype of watching this movie out of my system, I can now put my more tame thoughts into form. I did some reading on other peoples’ opinions about the film before writing this, so I am aware of their qualms with the film. However, this is my opinion about the film. I am also someone who has been a fan of Doctor Strange for almost ten years now (scary to think about when you realize I have been through Stephen’s entire MCU history from fruition to now on tumblr) and I have read the comics, so I know most of the lore.
Now, you don’t have to go into this film with much background information outside of the first film, Infinity War, and Wandavision, but if you know the lore like I do, you’re going to love this film. And loved this film I did so much I’m debating about going to the theater to watch it again, it was that good after thinking some things over. (Disclaimer I did not watch Wandavision and am not going to shovel money for Disney+ to watch Wandavision.)
I am going to touch upon all aspects of the film including lore, the future of the frachise, other people’s opinions, and what some people have seemed to missed with the theme of the film.
The first thing is that there is technically no villain, only a threat. That threat being Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch. This is someone who currently is going through mental distress to the point of obsession. The way some phrases such as how she explained her thoughts on how she felt about taking the Mind Stone out of Vision’s head was a very human way of tackling the big theme of the film, which was based around the actions of the characters, their consequences and how they affected the people around them, and how they dealt with the hand they’ve been given in life whether it be good or bad.
Wanda just happened to take her shitty hand and turn it up to 11 by going on a multiverse murder spree.
When Wanda killed herself, it wasn’t out of force, it was out of choice because of the sheer amount of guilt she felt over the things she did. You know, like a very depressed person with no more strings to grasp at. So they do the sudoku.
Wanda is supposed to be the negative representation to Stephen how people deal with loss and trauma. Stephen doesn’t understand what Wanda is going through because he has difficulty relating to others. It took seeing himself with the powers of the Darkhold and what it did to him to realize that he should move on from Christine and not be afraid of being truly alone like he has since his accident. This is represented by not fixing his watch that he broke during the accident in the first film until the very end of this one to show that he has moved on. It was his symbol of attachment of craving that love and affection of one person, just like in Wanda’s case where she wanted the love and affection of her ‘children’. She wanted what most of the other Avengers got after Infinity War which was closure or happiness to their lives and used whatever means she could get her hands on to make herself happy without being aware of the damage it was causing.
Stephen could have had easily just given in and used the Darkhold to whisk himself away to a universe where he still was a surgeon and he had Christine’s love. Stephen could have easily took America’s power with no remorse, but instead he told her to trust herself that she could control her power. Even despite having a similar internal battle that Wanda had decided to side with. No matter how much they tried to rationally reason with her, to help her see the turth of what she was doing was unreasonable and unethichal, she had made her choice to give in to her demons and delusions. You never saw the battle with Stephen, but the signs were there.
Initially when this movie was announced to be in the genre of horror, there were two things I wanted way back when. 1. Tentacles (because it isn’t Doctor Strange if you don’t have tentacles) 2. Stephen’s emotional trauma and a fight with his sanity because of the guilt he had to carry in Infinity War.
I got both of those in spades.
Stephen is a very emotional person. He truly does care about people and his actions. He carries his guilt if he screws up and when he royally screwed up with the incursions, he was clinging to having the acceptance of Christine to care for him just like after his accident when the entire world had abandoned him. He was afraid of being alone. Just. like. Wanda.
I have seen some people say that Michael Waldron who was a writer for Loki and this movie ruined Loki and Stephen by putting them under powerful women, but I disagree with Stephen’s case. Wanda doesn’t overshadow him, it’s just the dynamic of how they are presenting themselves and dealing with their issues is on the opposite ends of the spectrum: Wanda is more external and vocal while Stephen is more reserved about it. It took him the entire movie to speak up and say ‘yeah I’m scared of losing you and being alone’.
Stephen and Wanda’s internal battles with achieving happiness was something I related to on a personal level. Always wanting to have what you want, not being aware of what other people may think of what you’re doing or for how they feel about the situation. I’ve been through that multiple times with multiple people. It’s only until recently that I’ve been able to realize that there have been people in my life, mostly outside of the internet who have been strong-willed enough to call me out on my bullshit instead of letting me continue to make a fucking ass of myself and realize that I have more potential than I ever realized. And it’s not only them, you have to be patient enough to listen to what they have to say to realize the truth about yourself through the lens of others and be willing to seek help when a shoulder is there for you to lean on. And this instance, I cared enough about these people to seek the help I needed to be able to become a better person.
There are multiple quotes throughout the Buddhist doctrine about the moon, its reflection, and relating it to mindfulness. The one that comes to mind when I think about the film is the monkey grabbing for the moon’s reflection in the water. It is grabbing for an illusion while the real thing is above in the sky, illuminating the night.
Basically the entire theme of Multiverse of Madness can be summed up in this trailer for another film, which is actually a documentary.
youtube
Something else that a lot of people, I guess forgot when watching this movie, is that Stephen is just a Master of the Mystic Arts and not the Sorcerer Supreme. It just dawned on me when I was watching MoistCritikal’s review on the film that Stephen being underpowered and having “unimpressive magic” and not being able to completely subdue Wanda, someone with the power of a literal demon at her disposal who could mow the sorcerers of Kamar-taj 10 times over, is actually very fitting for this film.
The original run of Doctor Strange comics from the 80′s and 90′s are named in this order. 1. Doctor Strange: Master of the Mystics Arts 2. Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme
We are just hit 1.5 in Stephen’s journey in the MCU with the introduction to the next leg of his journey. You know it, I know it, there is gonna be a third movie. Stephen’s going to become Sorcerer Supreme either because Wong dies or we finally get to see the Vishanti in their physical forms and see them give the mantle to Stephen for kicking Dormammu’s ass with the science of judo.
No, I am not making that shit up.
Tumblr media
This is getting long already and I haven’t even talked about the other aspects of this film which are the lore and the horror.
Imma start with the latter: this is a PG-13 film, so gore is limited, but Sam Raimi definitely knew where to push the boundaries with this film and there were some moments that did actually scare me. Wanda contorting out of the gong? Black Bolt’s death? Slicing Peggy Carter in half? BREAKING PROFESSOR XAVIER’S NECK ON SCREEN?! Oh yeah, and the zombie makeup at the end was a breath of fresh air to be real instead of some CGI garbage. The cinematography in a lot of the shots was really really good or unique, especially when Wanda was dreamwalking for the first time as it switched back to her in both bodies was really good. Though scene with the slowing of time to get a jump scare in was kind of cheap.
I know I haven’t really talked about America Chavez because in all honesty, she was the just macguffin of the movie, so I really don’t have much to say except she was there to do her thing and we found out Stephen can’t speak Spanish which is hilarious. Oh, and this is what made me give this movie the praise it deserves. They gave the biggest middle finger to China in particular of showing America’s parents who are canonically lesbians on screen and there is absolutely no way you can edit it out of the film without losing some important backstory to America’s character so anyone watching this without her parents on screen will be confused as fuck as to how America got to where she was in the movie.
But now it’s on to what made this movie, for me, grin from ear to ear. All of the lore and Easter Eggs stuff within it for the Doctor Strange fans who know the ins and outs of this stupid wizard. This is not your lame ass list on the basic aspects of the movie, this is stuff that you never knew was a thing or I thought it was a nice touch to add in for continuity sake.
1. Zombie Stephen is actually Stephen from this version of the Defenders from 2011 where he slept with a college student.
Tumblr media
Once again, I did not make that up.
2. Rintrah, the green bull from Doctor Strange Sorcerer Supreme is one of the students at Kamar-taj
Tumblr media
3. We actually get to see what that thing did from the original movie that Stephen held at Kaecilius
4. APPARENTLY (I saw from another post) the shirt at the very end of movie that Stephen is wearing is Tony’s shirt from Iron Man 2. I don’t know if this is real or a shitpost someone made.
5. The Illuminati is here and not only did Wanda kill them, 4 out of 6 of their original members are now canon in the MCU (Professor Xavier, Reed Richards, Black Bolt, and Doctor Strange). I don’t know what the MCU is gonna do with Namor and RDJ probably was not worth it for a cameo to die again on screen.
Tumblr media
7. The post credits scene outfit and the third eye? Doctor Strange 2015.
Tumblr media
8. Also need I mention the one thing that people had no fucking clue about the post credits scene who she was and was literally confused about
Tumblr media
But the instant she came on screen I lost my goddamned mind
9. We saw the Savage Lands in the multiverse hop.
10. Spells I noticed were the Rings of Raggadorr and Vipers of Valtorr
11. His backstory with his sister Donna was changed from drowning during a summer family trip to drowning in a frozen pond
Other things I saw that weren’t kind of ‘basic Doctor Strange lore’ was The Sands of Nisanti was taken from the comic book series ‘The Oath’
IN CONCLUSION: I don’t know what my conclusion was. This movie is a solid 9.5/10 for people who know the lore, 8/10 for general audiences Yes, Clea does make up a whole point just for getting a cameo. and the extra half point is for the lesbians.

Together | W. Maximoff x reader
Readers gender not specified <3
Summary | being blipped is not fun, but what happens when you return 5 years later and Wanda’s gone off the rails and you and her meet again in her fight to steal Americas power.
MoM events, infinity war events - not in order! ~Wanda doesn’t get blipped and the order of events is non existent but just go with it for the plot please!!
Tumblr media
You’d disappeared in the blip along with many heroes such as: Peter Parker, King T’challa and Scot Lang. You were an avenger to an extent but had very little impact on missions but nonetheless, you were classed as an avenger. So when the blip happened you weren’t missed by many, your disappearance hadn’t had a big affect on people or the world for that matter. Apart from one witch, Wanda Maximoff.
She’d watched Vision be slaughtered by Thanos and disintegrate by the blip but then to see you, her closest friend, standing in the middle of the clearing fading away. That was hard. Her love: vision and you: her 1st true love (unknown to her) to be taken away from her at exactly the same time, not a minute or second after the first. Another level of difficulty.
At first she’d mourned you both, visiting the memorial sight and searching for your names until she knew their location on the plaques off by heart. Eventually though, she stopped grieving for vision, but for you, never. She’d expected that she would be able to move on quickly after coming to terms with Visions death and thought the same for yours, but she never did.
In the back of her mind she’d always subconsciously thought of you. Simple things such as; walking past a new coffee shop in her neighbourhood and thinking that you’d like it and that she should take you there, but she couldn’t because you were gone and you always would be. Right?
Wrong. After five years the majority of people who were victims of the blip returned, you being one of them.
You’d returned back in the same spot which you’d left in, confused as to where everyone else was. You’d made your way back to the compound to find out that Nat was gone and so was Tony but you hadn’t had time to cry about it because Bruce Banner had informed you that your witchy friend Wanda had gone off the rails.
Bruce had sat you down in an unused room and told you how Wanda had gone crazy: Westview, chasing after a young girl for her powers so she could be with her children, and you. He’d spoken about how after the blip she realised that you’d meant more to her than just a friend and that’s how she spiralled out of control quickly. Getting ahold of the dark hold so she could shift universes, one where you and her were together and her children were also yours. A happy family.
You’d travelled to Kamar - Taj to help protect the young girl who’s name you’d learnt was ‘America’. A dark cloud rolled over the sky, covering the sun, most light disappearing from the day.
Strange and Wong had sent you and America inside the temple to increase the amount of protection, but soon it was breached and Wanda was inside the same room as you. She hadn’t noticed you at first, too focused on getting the girl and draining her off all her powers. It was only when you approached her whilst her magic choked America and took her powers, that she finally noticed you.
Her magic had faltered, allowing America unknowingly to open a portal into another universe, Strange diving into her to push them both through it to get away from Wanda.
Wanda had fallen to her knees in-front of you, as the girls portal closed, tears seeping from her eyes. She’d thought you were dead all this time, especially since you hadn’t come back when others did. She was sure of it.
You’d walked slowly up to her and knelt beside her, hugging her for the first time in over 5 years. “You can’t do this, this isn’t right.” You’d whispered to her as she hugged you tightly, momentarily forgetting about America and Doctor Stranger.
“I have to protect my boys.” She’d replied and pushed you away from her body to take a look at your face. She’d raised a hand to your cheek and held you face in her hands “who will protect them if i, their mother, aren’t there?” She’d asked you.
You’d sat in silence before speaking up again, trying to convince her to stop chasing after the poor girl who didn’t even have control of her powers. “You aren’t the only Wanda right?” She’d nodded at you and you took her hands into your own, deciding to go for your last resort.
“So if you go to your boys in another universe, then you’ll have to somehow get rid of the Wanda in that universe and you’ll also be leaving me, when I’ve only just got back!” You’d smiled shyly at as she looked up into the ceiling, you could see the cogs turning in her head.
“But what about my boys? Billy and Tommy? I’ll never see them again, I’m afraid I can’t let that happen.” She’d told you as she’d given you a tight lipped smile and lay a kiss on you forehead, moving her hands up to your collarbones, rubbing them soothingly as she spoke again. “You can come with me. You know I’ll win anyway, I always do.” She’d given you a teasing smile and a wink, stood from you and turned away, closing her eyes to what you had assumed to create a gateway into the universe of which America and Strange had escaped to.
Wrong, again. She’d dream walked into the alternate universe and you’d watched as her face twitched as she sat cross legged, levitating off of the ground in a circle of candles and runes.
You’d also watched as a dear friend of Wongs destroyed the dark hold, turning to ash in the process, Wanda falling to the ground as a result. You’d ran over to her, hands flying to her waist to help her up, watching as her eyes glowed a fiery red from anger and from the placement of your hands.
You’d also watched as she tortured Wongs students to get information on the dark hold and stolen their rings to open up portals.
However before she and Wong were to walk through the portal she’d reached out her hand to you, asking you to join her. You’d looked around you at the destruction which she’d caused and then back to her. You’d reached forward to her and grasped onto her hand and she smiled at you as she pulled you and Wong through the portal.
If you were to choose a side to be on after the avengers had collapsed, what better side to be on than with your ‘best friend’.
You’d always stayed by her side, and that’s how you stayed even when the Darkhold castle collapsed around you as you held each-other.
It’s been a little while but who cares!!

the unfamiliar pain of being loved, part 1
Tumblr media
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Natasha Romanoff || Wanda Maximoff x Vision
Rating: General
Summary: Infinity War from Wanda's point of view and her revelation about Natasha's feelings that she tries to hide from the witch.
Sequel to "the familiar pain of unrequited love" (Natasha's point of view)
Chapter: 1 of 2
Notes: Welp, here it is. I know it's been months and months. After I posted the first part, someone suggested I should write Wanda's POV. I did start writing it shortly after but it was very difficult to do and then I just left it for ages.
It's just pain so be warned. There is obvious Wanda x Vision because they are in a relationship but there is Wanda x Nat as well, sprinkled on top.
I won't be writing Endgame or what happened after Wanda came back, at least not any time soon. I feel like it would just be a lot of pain and I don't think I can do that but never say never.
Read on AO3
Wanda was nursing a cold cup of tea, trying to focus on reading. She could feel Vision in pain before she heard him take a sharp breath.
“Vis! Is it the stone again?” She abandoned her book, her full attention on him now.
“As if it’s speaking to me.” The android said, his hands shooting up to the stone placed in his forehead.
“What does it say?” Wanda got up from the bed, slowly walking to him, pulling on her sleeves nervously. She could immediately feel the cold on her naked legs, missing the warmth of the bed.
It’s been like this for a while. The stone causing Vision sudden dull pain in his head, Wanda asking, knowing full well what the issue was.
“I just feel you,” she whispered after she let her magic play with the stone, checking for anything unusual as she always did.
They decided to go for a walk, longing for a little distraction. As it was well past midnight, the streets of Edinburgh were empty and quiet, glistening after the rain earlier that evening.
“So there is a 10am to Glasgow which would give us more time before you go back.” Wanda mused as they crossed a street, the sound of her heels being the only one they could hear.
“What if I miss that train?” Vision asked with a small smirk in his voice.
“There’s an 11,” Wanda has memorised all the times for all the possible trains. She looked at Vision with confusion.
“What if I miss all the trains?” The android stopped and turned around to her with a hopeful smile. “What if this time I didn’t go back?”
Wanda didn’t understand. He made a promise to Stark, there is no option to ‘miss all the trains’.
“I would rather give my word to you,” Vision spoke.
“Well,” the redhead was unsure suddenly, hiding her hands in her pockets nervously, “there are people who are expecting me too, you know,” she said, her mind going to the former Russian spy. “We both made promises…” She wasn’t one to break a promise, she was one to keep her word but this was so tempting. She wished nothing else than to stay hidden from the world, to live a normal life, not to fight.
“Not to each other…” Vision argued softly.
He was right, she knew that. It worked, it worked for them, she has been happy, enjoying those stolen moments, away from the other Avengers. She did miss them sometimes, she missed Natasha as they had gotten closer due to her training prior to this whole disaster. No matter, it’s all gone now, they are still fugitives.
“Stay… Stay with me,” Vision begged.
She wanted to say yes, she really did but something in her didn’t let her. It wouldn’t be right.
And then the television playing in the shop behind them caught her attention. The news was showing recordings of New York. A catastrophe, weird looking beings attacking the city.
“What are they?” Wanda could feel the panic rising in her chest. She started chewing on her bottom lip, a habit she has recently developed.
“What the stone was warning me about,” Vision replied, his eyes on the television as well.
Tony Stark disappeared, the headline read.
Wanda was shaking. This wasn’t happening. No, this must be a bad dream and when she wakes up, she will be in their hotel room with old fashioned wallpaper and vintage furniture.
Vision grabbed her hand and kissed it softly, trying to offer comfort.
“I have to go,” he said as he let go of her hand.
“No! Vision, no!” He couldn’t leave her, he couldn’t just go! “If that’s true then maybe going isn’t the best idea,” she was clinging to the hope of their life together, grasping for straws, not willing to break the bubble they have created together.
“Wanda…” he spoke softly, understanding her but knowing it wasn’t the right thing to do.
And then it happened. Out of nowhere, a blade went through Vision’s torso.
“Vision!” Wanda screamed, covering her face in horror.
There were two attackers, the same ones she saw on the television just minutes ago.
The redhead got her magic ready but before she had time to really do anything, she felt herself flying through a nearby shopping window. She landed in shards but there was no time to stop. She quickly got into the window frame.
The two attackers were holding Vision down, trying to get the mind stone out of his forehead. Wanda quickly blasted them away with her magic, summoning Vision to herself and taking them flying away from all this. The landing was a bit rough but she had no time to be precise, no time to be gentle. She grabbed Vision and while supporting him with her body, she tried to take them to safety.
The android leaned against a wall, breathing heavily.
“The blade stopped me from fazing,” he muttered. His legs gave up and slid down to the ground.
“Is that even possible?” Wanda asked, worry seeping through her calm exterior.
“It’s not supposed to be,” he was shaking with pain. “My systems are failing,” he frowned, trying to stop it.
Wanda tried to mend him together with her magic but it wasn’t working.
“I’m beginning to think we should have stayed in bed,” Vision said through his gritted teeth.
Wanda smiled at the little remark. Before she had time to respond, she was pushed away. She was pushed away by Vision who noticed the attacker coming back before she did. When she looked up, she saw Vision being taken away by the alien. But before she could fly after them, the other person was on her throat, pushing her with her spear.
The redhead tried to combine her combat skills and her magic, deflecting the glowing stick, walking backwards. She tried to remember everything Natasha ever tried to teach her, all the training sessions they had coming back to her mind but she was rusty and it wasn’t enough.
She soon found herself flying through the air as the woman aimed the spear at her. She fell on her back, hitting the ground hard but she had no time to think about her injuries, the alien was right behind her.
From the corner of her eye she could see Vision and the other attacker fighting, using their powers. The beam from Vision’s mind stone illuminated the empty square, trying to overpower whatever magic was in the alien’s weapon.
Wanda could hear Vision groan somewhere on the roof. Panic settled in her stomach again and she quickly pushed the female alien away with her powers, bending all the way backwards and touching the ground.
She used her powers to fly up there, just in time to prevent the stone being extracted.
“Hands off,” she threw the alien off the roof and grabbed Vision, trying to take them to safety. But just as they were in the air, they got hit by the beam from one of the spears and it sent them tumbling down, straight through the glass roof of the local train station, only stopping at the railing outside.
Wanda crawled to Vision, panic in her voice.
“Come on, get up, you gotta get up,” she tried to help him up but he was weakened, struggling to get on his feet. “We have to go,” she tried again.
The android shook his head and lift his hand to cup her cheek.
“Please leave,” he whispered, urging her.
“You asked me to stay, I’m staying,” there was no hesitation, no pause. She didn’t have to think about it.
There was no time for further arguments. Both attackers came down through the roof, slowly making their way to the couple on the floor.
Wanda got up. She can’t give up. Not now.
She took a wide stand and got her magic ready, a floating red ball in each hand. But before any of them could strike, the female alien turned her attention to something behind her.
Wanda turned around. A train was just making its way through. And when it passed, there was a silhouette of a man.
A spear flew just past Wanda, aiming for him. He caught it and stepped into the light.
Steve.
Wanda couldn’t help it but smile.
They haven’t lost yet.
Sam flew in from the opposite direction, taking down the other alien.
The redhead quickly crouched down by Vision’s side, watching for anyone getting too close to him.
Natasha.
She came in running, immediately joining in the fight. It looked effortless and easy and it didn’t take long for the three Avengers to finally beat them.
When the aliens finally flew away on their spaceship, they all walked over to the railing where Vision was still leaning against it.
“Can you stand?” Sam asked, already reaching out for the android’s hand, helping him up.
Once Vision was safely up, supported by both Sam and Wanda, the woman turned to look at Natasha for the first time and their eyes locked.
Her hair was different, Wanda noticed. Short and blonde. And she was wearing a green vest, an unusual addition to her suit.
Natasha’s eyes were wide and dark, darker than Wanda remembered. She couldn’t properly recognise the emotions in the short time but if she didn’t know better, she would have thought there was worry, relief and anger before the blonde quickly turned around, checking out their surroundings. —-
Once they finally made it on the quinjet, Wanda helped Vision on the bench closest to the door. He was still weak and hurt but there was nothing any of them could do.
She watched Natasha stand by the closing door, looking at the disappearing city underneath.
“I thought we had a deal,” the Russian started, her voice angry. “Stay close, check in, don’t take any chances.” The words were pushed through her teeth as if the anger that was radiating off of her would spill if she spoke her words normally.
“Sorry,” Wanda tried weakly, her eyes following the blonde as she quickly moved through the jet. “We just wanted time.” She was holding onto Vision as if that could fix anything.
She watched Natasha disappear into the pilot cabin without giving her a single look. She was aware that they broke the deal and she understood that Natasha was angry but it seemed unreasonable. Like there was something else, something more, like she did something.
Wanda looked at Steve, searching for understanding. He was standing in the middle, looking like he wanted to say something but Natasha’s anger stopped him.
It was a moment after the older woman disappeared.
“She was just worried,” he sighed as he turned to the couple.
“About the stone, I know,” Wanda nodded. Because if the stone got into the wrong hands, it would be a disaster.
“More than just the stone, Wanda,” Steve shook his head and gave her a small smile. Was that sadness in his eyes?
“What do you mean?” The woman asked confused but instead of giving her an answer, the captain turned around and left too.
Wanda looked after him for a few seconds but soon she turned her attention back to Vision when she heard him groan.
“You should rest. I’m sure someone will figure something out…” She gave him a sad smile as she cupped his cheek.
“Wanda…” Vision tried to argue.
“Shh. I’m sure Bruce can fix this.”
The android didn’t argue back. He could tell that she was mainly reassuring herself, that it gave her hope. He didn’t have the strength to argue with her.
And so they just sat there in silence, holding hands, Wanda resting her head on Vision’s shoulder, thinking about how everything changed so quickly. A couple hours ago they were happy and now everything is upside down.
Vision’s life is in danger. Natasha was mad at her for some reason, almost unreasonably. Her whole body was bruised from being thrown around. She was probably bleeding. She was exhausted and wanted nothing but to curl up in a bed and hide but she knew there was no time for that.
After a while Natasha appeared again. She looked calmer, definitely not as angry at least. Before Wanda realised it, the blonde joined them on the bench.
“Let me clean that up for you,” she said with a small smile as she pointed to Wanda’s face. The brunette immediately turned to face her and returned the smile. She noticed it didn’t reach Natasha’s eyes, the green orbits swimming in the same sadness and pain as they did before.
Wanda turned her body to allow Natasha to clean her wound, finally letting go of Vision’s hand.
“You were lucky,” Natasha said as she started dabbing the disinfection soaked cloth on her forehead.
Wanda let out a hiss before she could stop herself as the alcohol made contact with her blood.
“I guess I was,” she smiled, nodding mindlessly. She didn’t even realise there was a cut right above her eye.
“Sorry,” Natasha said. “Pain only makes us stronger.”
Wanda looked into her eyes. What a strange thing to suddenly say. Natasha’s eyes sad, distant as if she got lost in a memory for a second.
“Are you okay?” The brunette asked, preparing to see through the lie she knew was coming.
“Of course,” the blonde replied.
Wanda watched her quickly mess with the butterfly stitches, trying to peel the backs off but her hands were not cooperating. When Natasha looked up again, their eyes met. The brunette gave her a disapproving look, letting her know she didn’t believe her lie but decided not to push.
Instead she let Natasha place the stitches on the cut. She could feel her soft fingers brush her skin for a second, sending a shiver down her spine. It felt like the spy wanted to say something else, do something. But then she could feel her hair being pushed away from her face, behind her ear, the spy’s fingers threading through her hair as she let her hand fall down.
“There, you’ll be perfect again, soon enough.”
“Thank you,” Wanda said shyly. She could feel her cheeks turning red and her lips spreading into a smile as her eyes looked for anything else to focus on, twisting her hair around her finger.
She didn’t understand this reaction, she didn’t know why her body was acting like a teenager, almost giggling.
But for a second she felt like she could forget about all the trouble, about all their worries. When she looked up again, she caught a flash of pain in Natasha’s eyes again before she picked up the first aid kit and left.
—-
When they finally arrived at the compound, Wanda felt both relief and dread. Finally there would hopefully be someone who could help Vision. At the same time, the reason why they even had to come back was hanging over her like a dark cloud. She didn’t even know half of it but aliens wanting Vision’s stone? Tony disappearing in space? That was too much.
Rhodey was the first person they saw. The brunette was surprised how it made her feel, a familiar face, after so long, it felt like coming home. A second later she noticed the hologram in the room. Secretary Ross. Her steps became hesitant. She didn’t know what to expect, he was one of the reasons they became fugitives.
“You have some nerve, I’ll give you that,” he looked directly at Natasha who didn’t flinch or lose any of her confidence under his look and disapproving tone.
Wanda watched the back of Natasha’s head, waiting for her response. The blonde didn’t hesitate and bit back without so much as blinking.
The brunette flinched a bit when Ross ordered Rhodey to arrest them, she even took a step closer to Vision who was leaning on Sam.
But Rhodey didn’t do that. Instead he dismissed him, ending the call and opening his arms to the captain and the spy.
Wanda’s eyes followed the blonde, watching her every move.
“You guys look like crap,” she let out an involuntary sigh as a laugh. She felt like that too. All she wanted to do was to take a shower and wash off the blood and the dust and just sit there, hiding from the world under the droplets of water mixing with her tears.
She smiled when Natasha turned to look at them, giving them all one of her bright smiles. Maybe she can bear this all just a bit longer.
“I think you look great,” a voice made her head turn around. It was Bruce and the statement was obviously aimed at Natasha.
She felt a little stab of jealousy in her stomach. Of course he is here. Of course. He has to be, he has to save Vision, he has to help him.
At the same time, the way he was looking at the other woman… Wanda couldn’t explain it, she didn’t know why, she didn’t understand but she didn’t like it. She knew there was some history between him and Natasha, nothing big, or so she has been told but she felt oddly protective of the woman.
She couldn’t stop thinking about the blonde’s fingers brushing her hair away from her face…
—-
They were all in the shared kitchen, trying to figure out what their next move should be.
They could find them. The aliens or whoever they were, could easily track them. Wanda was standing in the middle of the room, not having a clue what to do. It was nice to be back, back where her new life started. When she first joined the Avengers, she was shy and a bit spooked. Now she stood in the middle of the room, not afraid to let her voice be known.
“Thanos has the biggest army in the universe and he is not going to stop until… until he gets Vision’s stone…” Bruce trailed off but his words brought Wanda back to reality.
They are going to kill Vision. She could feel her panic rising in her chest again, bubbling, trying to escape.
“Well then, we have to protect it.”
Wanda’s head snapped to look at Natasha. She felt instant gratitude to the woman. She wasn’t sure why but she wouldn’t expect the blonde trying to save the android. There was just something about her, the way she looked at her, how her eyes lingered on Wanda just a little too long, a pained expression.
She didn’t care what her reasons were. Natasha was right. They had to protect the stone, they had to protect Vision.
“No, we have to destroy it,” Vision finally spoke from the other side of the room where he was looking out of the window.
Wanda’s heart dropped. Destroy the stone? But that was the only thing that powered him!
“... Its molecule integrity could fail…” Vision tried to explain his thoughts on how to destroy the stone as he slowly walked across the room, stopping in front of Wanda.
“And you with it!” She replied slowly, finally stopping biting her nails nervously. Everyone’s eyes were on them, she could feel their worry and confusion about Vision’s words. “We are not having this conversation,” she shook her head. There was no chance she could ever use her powers to destroy the stone, to destroy the person she loved.
“Eliminating the stone is the only way we can be certain that Thanos can’t get to it,” Vision spoke softly, knowing that what he was asking of her was not fair.
“That’s too high a price,” Wanda refused. She could feel her voice tremble.
“Only you have the power to pay it.” Vision took her face in his hands, looking straight into her eyes, begging her silently to do it. She slipped out of his hold. She had to get away before her emotions would get the best out of her.
Wanda walked over to the kitchen counter, leaning against it to help support herself. She couldn’t do this. Her chest was hurting. The panic spread throughout her body and she could feel it in the tips of her fingers. She tried to breathe through the panic, trying to prevent the tears from spilling over.
She was exhausted. She hasn’t had a chance to sit down or even change. They have been up for over 24 hours. All her senses were alert, Her magic was stretched out, ready to burst out at any moment. That also meant that she could sense people’s emotions, especially since they were very strong. Feeling everyone else’s fear and panic about the risk of Thanos getting the stone made it all worse for her. All the worry in the room felt suffocating.
She could feel someone’s eyes burning into her back. She couldn’t let them see her being weak despite the fact that the only thing she wanted to do was to just slide down on the floor and cry.
Wanda could hear Steve and Vision trying to argue in the background.
“Because you might have a choice.” Bruce’s voice snapped her head around.
Vision doesn’t have to die?
“Are you saying Vision isn’t just the stone?” She questioned, her voice steady and strong, pulling the strength out of her magic.
“Can we do that?” Natasha jumped in. Can they separate the stone and keep Vision alive?
Wanda’s eyes moved to the blonde, trying to read her expression but she put up a wall the brunette could not penetrate without making herself known.
What was her real motive? Surely it wasn’t just keeping Vision alive, the two of them weren’t even friends.
“Not here, not me,” the scientist’s answer put a weight on her chest again as she moved her attention back to the android.

Chapter 30: Therapy for blowing up people.
“Hello Y/N,” Dr. Lee said as she entered the hospital room.
“Hi,” she said, looking briefly at her and then at the ground.
“How are you?” She laughed.
“Never better!” The doctor nodded.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?”
“No.” She shook her head. “I can't.”
“Okay,” she sighed, thoughtful and pursed her lips. “How would you feel about writing it and then giving it to me?” Y/N looked up at her.
“Um… maybe I could do that.”
“Great, I will wait outside for you. Take all the time you need, you are my priority right now.”
“Okay.” She nodded, a bit choked up. “Thank you.”
“Of course.”
Once the therapist left, not before giving her a notebook and a pen, she closed her eyes and sighed. How could she describe it? She sighed again and began writing.
                                      ----------------------------------
“I'm done.” She told her once Dr. Lee came into the room.
“Okay, would you like to read it to me?”
“I… I can try,” she said, pursing her lips. The doctor nodded and waited for her to begin. She sighed and began reading.
“When I first came here I was put together. I had gone through terrible things, but I was in denial of them, which in return made me less willing to break. After a while, I couldn't deny them anymore. The first time I realized that I lost my family was while I was having dinner with The Avengers in the first few weeks since I arrived. Bruce said something and then Clint made a joke and Peter snorted, making juice come out of his nose and stain the tablecloth and his pants; everyone scolded him, but it was so careful, so full of love. I remember thinking “This is what a family is supposed to be”.” She took a deep breath before continuing. “And that's when I realized that I lost mine, and that it wasn't even a nice one.” After saying that, she felt tears brimming in her eyes. “Flash forward a few months later, I had a family again, a nice one, an amazing one, and I was so happy. I am so happy to have them.” Her voice broke on the last word. “But then I did what I was supposed to do, what I always end up doing: I ruined it.” Her hands were shaking as she had a hold tight on the paper. Dr. Lee just looked at her patiently. “There's no pretty way to say it, so I'm just going to do it.” She bit her lip. “I killed almost fifty people. I blew them up with my powers, and I wish I could say I don't know how it happened, or that I didn't have ill intent, but I do... I did.” This time, she looked up at the doctor with sorrowful eyes, expecting to find a disgusted face, but all she saw was empathy and patience. She crumpled the paper in her hands “I…” She put the tip of her tongue on her upper lip. “I was in the office with that man, the one who ran everything and he hit me and said that he would make me feel so much pain I would beg for him to kill me.” A sob escaped her throat. “But I pretended I didn't care, I was so angry… I smiled at him and told him that if he were to touch me again, I would destroy him. When he did, he did it in the worst way he could've done it.” She clenched her teeth and closed her eyes. “He touched my hair, as if it were an intimate gesture and I… I lost it. I blew them all up in a second… Just because he touched my hair!” She cried out.
“Y/N,” the doctor told her. “You were violently threatened and physically assaulted. I understand that what happened makes you feel guilty, but it was not unprecedented.”
“Do you think I'm evil, a monster?” She asked, frightened to hear the answer.
“No, not at all.” Dr. Lee answered. “You have been through so much, and you remain kind. Do you know how much strength that takes?” Y/N pursed her lips. “A lot.” She answered her own question. She handed her a pack of tissues and smiled softly at her. “We are going to work on this. You will feel better, I promise.”
“Okay,” she smiled a bit. “Thank you.”
                                           -----------------------------
It had been a few weeks since the whole kidnapping thing, and Y/N found herself in the library with Loki, sitting on the floor in between the shelves of books.
After a while of reading, she sighed.
“Is everything alright?” He asked with a soft voice and concerned eyes. She looked at him.
“Yeah I just… What are we Loki?” She suddenly questioned.
“Excuse me?” He asked now, confused.
“I mean, are you my…” She paused before saying the word.
“Your…” He drawed out, waiting for her to finish.
“Like, my boyfriend.” She said plainly and he looked at her frowning, which made her nervous. “We said many things but we never said exactly what we were and I want to know… Not to put pressure on you we can be whatever you want I just-”
“Y/N,” he interrupted her rambling. “Breathe.” She covered her face with her hands.
“Sorry…”
“Darling, look at me.” She didn't. “Look at me Y/N.” He said more firmly now and she slowly uncovered her face. “You are right. We never established it like that, I just assumed we already knew what it was.”
“Yeah you're right, I just keep having that question pop up in my mind and I... don't know.” He pulled her into his lap and hugged her waist with both arms, looking at her with pure adoration in his eyes.
“What are we, you ask.” He pursed his lips. “In Asgard we do not use midgardian labels like boyfriend or girlfriend, instead we use beloved.” She blushed. “You are my beloved.” He finished simply.
“I-I y-” She stuttered out. He smirked but without a malicious intent.
“But,” he began, “if the word you are accustomed to using is boyfriend, then yes, I am your boyfriend and you are my girlfriend.” She suddenly grinned. “Though I prefer beloved.”
“Can’t we use both?!” She asked excitedly. He chuckled.
“We can use whatever you want, my love.” Y/N cupped his face in her hands and gave him a breathtaking kiss. When they pulled away they were both panting. She grinned stupidly.
“My boyfriend.” She sang. “My boyfriend.” She repeated again, putting emphasis on my. He grinned and bit his lip.
“Yours,” he said, pecking her on the lips. “Yours,” he kissed her nose. “Yours,” her cheek. “Yours,” her other cheek. “Yours,” her chin. “Completely yours,” he finished, kissing her forehead and then pulling her into a long kiss.
“I love you, I love you, I love you.” She repeated against his lips. Beloved or girlfriend, she was his too.

A/N: this chapter is where Norse Mythology comes into play
Summary:
A year has passed since the Snap. As you look to find a fresh start in life, you end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. A small cult dedicated to the newly revitalized Norse religion chooses you as a sacrifice with the belief that this will give Thor and the other gods the strength to undo what Thanos has done. What you don't know is that human sacrifices come with a powerful magic — those who are sacrificed become linked with the god they have been given to.
It's been a millennia since a human was sacrificed to one of the gods. You've been bound to Loki.
CHAPTER 2
You woke and your vision was met with a pink and orange sky. Stars were scattered all throughout the heavens, your focus flitted about the celestial bodies glittering above you. For an indeterminable amount of time, there was nothing else in the universe, just the heavens above. Later you would come to realize you were laid in a field. Grass poked at the back of your head through your hair, at your arms, and through your clothes. You turned your head to the side, the dark green a relief to your sight in contrast to the bright of the warm colors above. No thoughts crossed your mind except for the sea of grass surrounding you. It was only when more time passed when complex thoughts began to enter your head. Why were you here? You did not remember coming to this place. Was this a dream?
These thoughts mildly interested you, but not enough to break you away from your trance. It was only when you heard something rustling nearby that you finally sat up. A young, blonde woman in flowing blue robes approached you. She knelt down beside you, lightly caressing your cheek as she examined you. She tilted her head, roving her eyes up and down you. Wordlessly, she held out a hand. You took it and she helped you to your feet.
The thoughts in your head began to solidify, and for the first time since coming here, you began to feel a sense of self again.
“Where am I?”
The woman guiding you spoke in a soothing voice that didn’t sound quite real. Maybe this was a dream. “In my realm. Let me get you to the hall so you can rest.”
You nodded not out of understanding or really any reason at all other than the fact that you still were not all there. You winced, stopping in your tracks as a pain in your head emerged suddenly. It felt like an object collided with your head, hard and fast. The woman said something, but your descending unconsciousness could not make the words into anything coherent. In a moment, everything disappeared as it had the first time.
When you woke again, you’d been placed in a bed and you already felt more sober than you’d been when you awoke in the grass. Above you was not a sunset sky but a marble ceiling. The pain in your head was still throbbing but not as intense as the first episode. The beautiful woman from before stood over you with a smile, her blue eyes twinkling. Her silk blonde hair flowed down to her waist.
“Now she awakens,” her voice was still as dreamlike. So you didn’t dream her, unless this was some freaky Inception stuff happening to you.
“I don’t…”
“I’m happy to answer any questions you have, but you still look very weak. I don’t know how good an idea talking is.”
“My head still hurts,” you said, touching your forehead lightly. Your eyelids were heavy and hurt when you blinked.
The woman’s expression changed to that of despondency. “I’ve never had the need for healing in my realm before..” She looked away, clearly in thought, then stood up. “Perhaps I should get Loki.”
“Who?” you asked, but she had already left the room. You wanted to follow her out of fear of being alone in an unknown place but pushed it aside and waited for her return.
Not much time passed before she returned with a man with jet black hair. He seemed familiar. A few seconds of analyzing his face and it came to you.
A noise of panic escaped your throat. In a flash you were out of your bed, backed up against the wall in a weak attempt to put as much distance as you could from him. The woman ran to you, placing her hands on your shoulders.
“Loki will not harm you,” she assured. “He can heal you if you will let him.”
Loki spoke: “If she does not want me to heal her, I will use my talents on something worth my time, Freya.”
The woman whose name was apparently Freya snapped her head in Loki’s direction, her dreamlike tone dissolved. “You will be quiet and you will heal her.”
Loki did not speak another word but did roll his eyes. Freya turned her attention back to you.
“Loki cannot hurt you, not while you are in my realm, under my protection. Even if he could, he would have no reason to.”
You looked between her assuring eyes and his indifferent ones. Finally, you nodded. Moving the blanket to the side, you climbed back into your bed and re-covered yourself. Freya stepped back and Loki approached you. He kneeled down next to your bed and stretched his right hand out. It hovered over you.
When Loki entered the room, an odd feeling appeared within you. It wasn’t the fear of when you recognized him, you knew that, because you felt it in those few seconds before as he stood in the doorway. You could only describe the feeling as a tug in your chest. It wasn’t painful or uncomfortable even. Distracting if anything. You would have chalked it up to being part of your condition, whatever that might be, but when Loki knelt by you the tug grew tighter. It was harder to ignore now that he was right beside you, and not only that, it became harder to ignore him. You feared that whatever magic he was performing with his fingers was malicious in nature.
Magic or not, you gave into the indescribable feeling that you wanted to look at him. So you did.
It was hard to forget the face of the man who tried to take over your planet. You remembered images of him plastered all over the news even months after the fact. His hair was as black as you remembered; dark as a raven, dark as the man it belonged to. It was the first thing that grabbed your attention then and the first thing you noticed now because of the contrast it offered against his pale skin. However, his hair was longer than it was back during the attack on New York and flowing more naturally.
The second thing was his eyes. You had never seen this striking emerald in somebody’s eyes before. His hair was what grabbed your attention, but his eyes were what kept it. You were reminded of the tug in your chest again each time his eyes settled on you.
Maybe he was bewitching you after all.
The more you made eye contact, the less it became a passing glance on his part. Loki was piecing you together. When your eyes met again, Loki narrowed his.
“What are you doing?”
His sudden accusation startled you. “What?”
Loki was about to speak again. Whatever it was, he waved it off. “Nothing.”
Freya stepped forward. “Is something wrong?”
“It’s nothing, a side effect of one of the spells I practiced before coming here.”
The god was in full focus as he returned to the task at hand and examined you. His eyebrows furrowed. Loki looked at you with intrigue, then turned his attention to Freya. “She’s not dead.”
“Dead? Of course I’m not dead. I could have told you that.”
“Interesting, because you’re supposed to be.”
You blinked as you tried to process this new information. Of course you weren’t dead. If you were dead — or supposed to be — you would remember it. Or maybe not, and the headache had something to do with it.
“If I’m supposed to be dead, does that mean you’re dead?”
You stared at the man in front of you. He was pale, sure, but not pale enough to be a ghost. Would your hand pass through Loki if you tried to touch him?
Loki sighed, retreating his hand slightly. “Yes, of course I’m dead.”
“She doesn’t understand, Loki,” Freya said.
“Then explain to her.”
Freya shot him a glare.
“You are a far way from home, in my realm,” she explained.
“And what is ‘your’ realm?” you asked.
“Folkvangr.” With a gesture of her hand, a sphere of light appeared, and within it conjured the image of an angelic palace-like building surrounded by a field large enough to be mistaken for an ocean. Her realm looked like scenery in a fairytale.
“Half of all warriors who die in combat come here,” Freya continued. “The other half go to Valhalla, and the rest who die under regular circumstances are sent to Helheim.”
“So, I died in battle?” You frowned as soon as the question left your lips.
Loki shook his head. Freya spoke again: “The last warrior who arrived to my realm was hundreds of years ago, when the Norse religion was strong. Judging by the fact these names aren’t familiar to you, you don’t follow the religion. And I mean no disrespect by this, but you don’t seem like someone who fought in a great battle either.”
You snorted. “None taken, so how in the world did I get here? I’m trying to remember but I can’t..”
“We don’t know,” Loki interjected. “And I would appreciate it if everyone would keep quiet so I can heal her. I have more important things to attend.”
“Like what, exactly?” Freya crossed her arms.
Loki glared right back at her. The room fell silent, however. His hand hovered next to your head and a chartreuse light appeared from his palm. The light moved from his palm and billowed around your head like mist. You’d heard before that Loki could perform magic, that he casted illusions and such to trick his enemies. And here it was, magic, right before your very eyes. You would have appreciated it more if the circumstances didn’t concern an intergalactic tyrant and the fact that you were in an afterlife where you weren’t dead.
As Loki healed you, you felt a cool, soothing feeling wash over you. The pain in your head passed. You felt yourself again, except that tug in your chest was still there.
“Thank you,” you said shyly.
The green magic disappeared as quickly as Loki had conjured it. He stood up and left the room without acknowledging you nor Freya, you furrowed an eyebrow as you watched him leave.
“Don’t pay attention to him, that’s just how he is.”
“I’m not worried,” you said. “In fact, the less I see of him, the better.”
“You must be famished, can I get you anything?”
Her question triggered your stomach to growl. With all the excitement and confusion, food hadn’t even crossed your mind. In fact, you couldn’t recall the last thing you ate before arriving here.
“You don’t have pizza here, do you? I could really go for some pizza.”
Freya’s eyes had a blank look in them as you asked. “Is that an Earth cuisine?”
“Yeah, don’t worry about it.” You tried not to smile at pizza being referred to as cuisine.
Freya ended up conjuring several different plates of food for you to choose from. Once the sight and, oh god, the smell of the food roused your senses you went for the first tray you could get your hands on, which was a bowl of hot soup.
As you ate with the tray of soup on your lap, Freya seated herself at the edge of the bed next to you.
“So you can’t recall how you got here at all?” she asked as you blew on a spoonful to cool it down. It was a light orange and had a creamy taste to it. Whatever it was, it wasn’t from Earth; the flavor was delicious but foreign to your taste buds.
“No, the last thing I remember is driving. After that, it’s fuzzy. You know your realm better than I do, do you have any theories of how I could’ve gotten here?”
She shook her head. “Those who enter my realm either have deceased or receive express permission from me to enter, which I haven’t done in centuries. I think for now we have to hope you regain your memory soon. I’m truly at a loss as to how you might have arrived here.”
You stirred the spoon around in the bowl. “And Loki? He’s not a psychopath anymore?”
Freya sighed. “I knew Loki since he was a boy. Thor, too. He was a bright child, mischievous, but not evil by any means. I was disturbed when I heard that he tried to take over your planet. As far as I know, he’s since given up these grandeur ideas to rule Earth, but he’s still a troubled soul.”
“How did he die to get here?”
“You’ll have to ask him that.” She smiled and patted the bed. “I’ll let you eat and get your strength back. We can talk more tomorrow.” She closed the door behind her when exiting the room.
Even though you felt much better now, you wanted to see what Folkvangr had to offer. Not to mention, you still had a million questions that popped up by the minute. However, despite beginning to get tired of this bed you decided to trust the word of a goddess.
As you rested, you admired the room you had been given. The room was at least three times the size of yours on Earth, not to mention your large four poster bed that put your old one to shame. The decorations and architecture looked exactly like an exhibit you would see in a museum, and you marveled at various paintings of flora and fauna indigenous to Folkvangr. The swirled gold patterns and runes on the walls seemed to be actual gold. It was easy to believe that you were in the afterlife, and you felt as pampered as a Disney princess. You had no idea how old Freya, this building, or her realm was, but it had to be thousands of years old and yet there was not a single crack in the walls or a hint of fading colors.
Though you felt fine, sleep managed to overcome you quickly in a bed where the mattress and pillows could be made of clouds for all you knew. Just before you drifted off, you realized that the tug faded to little more than a dull weight in your chest. You didn’t get a chance to think too hard about it. Perhaps you did need rest as Freya predicted. As you slept for the next few hours, you dreamt of an endlessly grassy field, Freya and her unbelievable beauty, and a certain trickster god with black hair and green eyes.

Warnings: This chapter is mainly based off of one of the scenes in episode 8, so you should really at least watch WandaVision before reading this, swearing, angst, talks of death???, Hayward is a dick
Word Count: 1,592 words
---
"Wanda, are you sure you're ready to do this? I know that it's technically been 5 years, but it really only felt like 20 minutes. And we just buried Tony and Natasha; this all feels like too much too fast." (Y/N) ranted as she turned to face her best friend.
Wanda nodded, sure of what she not only wanted but needed to do. She had had more than enough time to reevaluate her feelings. She loved Vision, but she had moved on and placed similar feelings on someone else. Vision still deserved a proper burial, especially after everything he's helped her through.
"I'm sure. I appreciate you coming with me, it means a lot to me." Wanda said as she gave (Y/N) a small smile.
(Y/N) returned said smile, shaking her head. "What are best friends for, Wan?"
Wanda chuckled as they both got out of the car and headed into the new facility.
The lobby was blindingly white, bustling with people rushing around to fulfill their duties. You and Wanda walked up to the front desk, getting the receptionist’s attention. “Can I help the two of you?” He asks as he looks between the two of you.
“We would like to see Director Hayward. Immediately.” Wanda said softly. The receptionist let out an annoyed sigh and rolled his eyes.
“Do you have an appointment, ma’am? Because you can’t just walk in here and demand to see the Director.”
“Hey man, no need to be a dick-”
“It’s fine, Y/N,” Wanda said as she turned towards you before turning back to the receptionist. “I know that I don’t have an appointment, but it’s very important that I talk to him. Can you please let us in to see him?”
“I understand that you need to talk to him, but the Director is a very busy person. He can’t just stop working so he can talk to you. If you want to talk to him, you’ll have to make an appointment like everyone else.” As Wanda opened her mouth to speak, the phone on the desk started to ring. The receptionist picked it up and began talking to the person on the other line. He talked for a moment before hanging up and looking towards you and Wanda.
“Director Hayward will see the two of you now. I’ll buzz you in.” He said as he reached for the button.
“No thanks, I’ve got it,” Wanda said as she walked towards the double doors. You followed quickly behind, but not before flipping off the receptionist. Wanda used her powers to blast open the door, frantically walking down the halls to find Hayward’s office.
“Wanda Maximoff, it’s good to finally meet you. I’m Director Hayward. If you’ll please follow me, I have something to show you.” Hayward was standing outside his office, hands behind his back. You didn’t know what it was, but something about him made the alarms go off in your head. Putting those feelings aside, you and Wanda followed him down the corridor to another room.
This one was different; there was a mezzanine that looked down over a working area. The walls were lined with built-in computer servers, and as you and Wanda stepped closer to the glass and looked down, you saw a bunch of tables with red parts all over them— Vision.
“What the fuck is this? Why are you showing us this?” You asked as you turned to face Hayward.
He gave a confused look as if the answer was obvious. “Because this is why you’re here, isn’t it? You wanted to see Vision.”
“What are they doing to him?” Wanda had finally turned around, and the look on her face showed that she hadn’t fully processed what she was just looking at.
“We’re taking apart the most sophisticated weapon we’ve ever been able to get our hands on.”
“Vision isn’t just some weapon! You can’t do this to him— it’s not what he would’ve wanted.” You could feel the rapid change in Wanda’s emotions, and they seemed to be changing faster with every breath she took. Rage, fear, sadness, worry, they all fluttered around her like fireflies.
“Actually, it’s our legal and ethical obligation to do this.” Hayward must’ve thought that this would help his case, but honestly, every word that came out of his mouth made you and Wanda even more upset.
“How is it ethical to take someone apart?” You scoffed.
“Look, we just want to bury him. That’s all, so could you please tell them to stop and put him back together.” Wanda pleaded.
“I can’t let you put such a valuable piece of weaponry in the ground. Besides, even if I wanted to stop them I couldn’t. We’ve already begun scrapping him for parts. Are you sure that all you want to do is bury him?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Wanda seemed hurt and shocked by what he was insinuating, but Hayward is either terrible at reading people or he’s just simply a piece of shit.
“Not everyone has the power to bring their soulmate back online.” Hayward seemed to think about what he had just said for a second before correcting himself. “Sorry, I meant to say back to life.”
“Even if I could do that, I would never! It would be against his wishes. As I said before, we’re only here to get his body so we can bury him.”
“Okay, but I can just allow you to take and bury 3 billion dollars worth of vibranium and let it rot away. The best I can do is to let you say goodbye to him here and now.” Wanda walked over to the glass and gently placed her hands on it, tears threatening to spill out of her eyes.
“Are you being serious right now? You’re the director of this huge ass facility and you can’t even—” Your words were cut off by the sound of glass shattering and falling to the ground.
You quickly turned around to see what had happened, and you turned just in time to see that Wanda had broken the glass and was flying down to the lower level. You stepped closer to the edge of the upper level to get a better look at what she was doing. As she landed on the floor, the TAC team quickly moved to point their guns at her. You heard Hayward tell them to fall back as Wanda stepped closer to Vision’s dismembered body.
Wanda walked up to his head, hovering her shaky hand over where the mind stone was meant to rest in his head. You saw the faint red glow of her magic and heard her whisper something, but couldn’t tell what it was due to the large space between the two of you. The red glow faded away slowly, Wanda stepping back and walking out of the room. You glanced back at Hayward before rushing out of the room to go find Wanda.
“Wan, are you okay? I saw that going totally different in my head.” You asked as the two of you walked back to the car. Wanda had been silent ever since she left the room, but you couldn’t really blame her.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I think.” She said softly as the two of you got in the car. She reached for the envelope in the backseat as you buckled up.
“I can’t believe he’s doing this— and the way he was talking to you? Fucking unbelievable. We should call Pepper or Bruce, maybe they could do something about getting Vision’s body released to you.” You ranted on. Wanda wasn’t really listening, she was just staring at whatever was in the envelope.
“Can you put this address in the GPS, please?” Wanda asked as she handed you the envelope. You nodded as you typed in the address, giving Wanda a final glace as she pulled out of the parking lot.
The drive was mostly silent, save for the robotic voice of the GPS. Neither of you really minded though, Wanda used the silence to think and you used it to appreciate the beauty around you.
A dull blue sign came into view as Wanda pulled into a town— Westview, according to the sign. Most of the greenery was dead, and all the buildings looked like they could use a fresh new coat of paint.
The residents of the town didn’t brighten up the place either, most of them looking sad and depressed about their lives. No one could blame them really, seeing as they had all probably lost someone in these past 5 years.
Wanda parked in front of an empty plot of land, you and her getting out of the car and walking to the middle of it. “So this is the land that Vision bought for the two of you?” You asked as you looked around.
“Yeah, I guess so.” She said softly as she held up the deed to the house. You watched as she brought it closer to her chest. The change in Wanda’s emotions was so swift and powerful that it gave you a headache. By the time you had recovered from the pain and looked up, Wanda had fallen to her knees and was sobbing.
“Wanda.” You yelled as you reached out to touch her shoulder. As you were reaching out to her, her magic exploded out of her, causing you to fall over. All you could see was red, and you could feel your skin burning before everything turned to black.

Relations
Pairing: Bucky x Stark!reader
Warnings: angst, soft smut, fluff, fighting
Words: 2862
“Y/N? Where are you?” no response.
“Friday? Would you be so kind as to tell me where my little sister is running around?”
“Of course, boss. She is currently sitting in the garden, reading a book.”
“Thanks Friday.”
Tony headed out to talk to his sister.
“There you are. Please come inside. We have to talk.”
“Alright. I’m coming.” you smiled up at your big brother.
He was everything to you. Y/N had been born in 1990 and had not exactly been planned. A year later your parents had died and Tony was left alone with an infant. Fortunately he was wealthy enough to have nannies looking after you as long as he was still in college.
But the time you did spend together was thoroughly enjoyed. Everytime he was home he took you to the zoo, swimming or you just celebrated your lives.
All in all Tony Stark was the best brother anyone could have wanted.
Then he was kidnapped and became Iron Man. And Y/N was in the middle of it all. Tony tried to keep you away from it all but that didn’t work very well. You had begged him time and time again to make a suit for you too but he refused. Fortunately you were as technically talented as he was, copied Tony’s files for his suit, made some modifications and built it.
Yours was purple and silver instead of red and gold and it had some other nice gadgets which would probably prove useful.
When you took the first flying test outside the tower you didn’t really care that you were probably going to get caught.
And of course the moment you landed again Tony busted you.
“Y/N. What were you thinking? You could have gotten hurt.” he was worried.
“But I didn’t. You really have very little trust in my abilities. I flew didn’t I? And I used your plans and software. I even have Friday on my ears at all times.” you rolled your eyes at your brother.
“I can’t decide if I should be angry or proud.” he muttered. “I trust you and your skills but please let me ease my conscience and have a look over your work before you go flying again.” he asked.
“Alright, if that calms you down, sure.” you smiled and hugged your brother.
“So what is this about?” you asked him.
“I am throwing a party tonight to celebrate taking down the hydra base and recovering the scepter.” he beamed.
“And I am invited?”
“Of course. Wear something nice.” he instructed and left you alone in the entryway.
Y/N prepared half the afternoon for the spectacle and looked your best when evening rolled around. You hung at the bar with Natasha and Bruce, let Thor and Rhodey tell their war stories and sat around the table while everyone tried to lift Mjölnir and failed miserably.
Then suddenly a mangled Iron legion droid came walking through the door saying strange stuff and ending up attacking everyone. You were just so able to jump behind the bar and duck down. After that you promised yourself that you would never feel that helpless again. You wanted to be in the thick of it all.
When the dust settled everyone was really confused. The peacekeeping program Ultron had “killed” Jarvis and taken off into the world wide web.
“What did just happen?” Rhodey asked while Thor was on the way searching for Ultron.
After a battle with Ultron and the Maximoff twins, where everyone seemed to have lost their minds at one point or another and the Hulk destroying half a town while Tony tried to stop him, you made it out alive and had to disappear and landed with Clint’s family.
You stayed there for a while and then left for Seol to retrieve the crate with the human print inside.
In the end you had a new addition to the team and a devastating fight against machines in Sokovia.
Everyone was upset after that. Sokovia was destroyed, many civilians had died and Hulk was MIA. Thor left too to shine some light onto the appearances of the infinity stones.
You stayed at the newly built compound to start your official training with Vision, Wanda and Sam.
Some time later things escalated in Lagos with Rumlow and a biological weapon. After that everyone was suddenly afraid of Wanda although she was just as scared.
A day later you were walking through the hallways, passing some office and conference rooms on your way to the gym. You were lost in thought when you heard your brother's voice. At first you wanted to storm in and surprise him but then you heard him talking.
“She isn’t actually my sister, Steve. She’s my daughter. Y/N is my daughter. I’ve never told anyone before I couldn’t-” the rest was not heard by Y/N because you had dropped your towel and run towards your room.
The next few days you just couldn’t face your father. That was so strange to think. You never said it out loud. Y/N felt so betrayed. Why did he never tell you? Of course he had been relatively young when you were born but he still could have been honest with you. Did he not want to be seen as your father? Were you such a disappointment? And over all of that stood the question after your mother. Who was she? What happened to her? Why did she not want to meet you? All those thoughts rushed through your brain and you couldn’t stop the nagging feeling that Tony didn’t want to admit the truth to you because you weren’t worth it.
The bad thoughts did not leave you alone anymore. You had nightmares and isolated yourself from everyone during the days.
Although everyone was constantly asking you what was wrong, you couldn’t tell them.
Until the day Natasha and Pepper waltzed into your room, overriding Friday’s authority.
“Hey Y/N. We noticed that you have been by yourself a lot lately, not letting anyone in anymore. So tell us, what is going on with you? You know you can trust us.” Pepper added the last part after seeing you hesitating. And finally you caved in.
“I overheard Tony and Steve talk a few days ago. He said something I need time to process for.”
“What did he say that shocked you so much?” Nat asked.
“All my life I thought he was my brother. He’s been my rock. We went through thick and thin and then I find out that he lied to me all these years.”
“What do you mean he’s not your brother?” Nat pressed further.
“He told Steve that he’s actually my father.” the girls looked at you dumbfounded and it got eerie quiet.
“You sure you heard that right?”
“Of course I am sure. I’m not deaf!” you said a little enraged.
“And I gather you have not talked to him about it yet, have you?” Pepper had a calming nature especially when she put her hand on Y/N arm.
“No I haven’t. I couldn’t. What if it is somehow my fault that he didn’t tell me? What if he doesn’t consider me good enough to be his daughter?” you started to sob quietly.
“Hey, look at me Y/N. If anything it is the other way around. Under all that confident exterior he is actually very insecure and I am sure that he just didn’t want you to be disappointed to have him as a father.” Pepper ensured you.
“You really think so?” you sniffed looking up at her.
“I do. You should talk to him.” she encouraged you.
“Maybe I should tell him that I know and see how he reacts.”
But before you could go forward with your plan Friday alerted you and Nat to come to the conference room because the Secretary of defense had arrived to talk about something
The fights in Sokovia and Lagos had been PR nightmares and the government and the UN did not want to stand by anymore. The Avengers had to bow to the law and sign the Sokovia accords or they would be forced to retire. They were given a few days to think about it and talk this through.
After long discussions the team split in two. Which led to the situation at hand.
Your dad had grounded you together with Wanda after you had voiced your opinion that you thought Steve was right. Well, when Clint came to pick up Wanda you stuck to them and flew to Germany. Steve was kinda surprised when he saw you get out of the car at the airport but he thought you were old enough to make your own decisions.
Well, it ended in a really bad fight in the middle of the runway. In the end you made it out with Steve and Bucky and flew to Siberia under Steve's protest.
“So you’ve been Steve’s friend since childhood, hm?” you asked Bucky while still in the air.
“Yep. Known him forever. And you are Stark’s kid?” he asked back.
“So Steve told you. Yes it seems to be true although my whole life I thought he was my big brother. He lied to me so I’m not very happy with him at the moment. Kicking his ass has been a nice change for once.” you smiled at Bucky sadistically.
“You are a sick little thing, doll!” he laughed out loud.
You landed not much later but you had to admit the crush that had already developed towards Bucky.
And then Zemo happened and that stupid tape.
Were you the only one wondering why the hell there was a security camera in the middle of nowhere on an abandoned street exactly at that point where your grandparents car was forced to crash? And all that in the early 90’s?
Tony did not want to think rationally at that point so he started a fight against Steve and Bucky. You stood by. Too in shock to do anything. The only thing you knew was that it was not Bucky’s fault your grandparents had died but hydras.
You snapped out of your trance when Tony shot Bucky’s arm off. Then it was your moment to jump between your dad and Steve.
“Stop it, dad! Think for one moment!” he was startled for a moment because he wasn’t used to hearing you say that.
“You know?” he asked and his helmet slid back.
“Yes, I do. I overheard you and Steve the other day.” you spoke silently. “Sorry I did not talk about this with you earlier but I was just so upset about the fact that you didn’t tell me. Am I such a disappointment that you thought I wasn’t good enough to be your daughter?” you asked him with tears in your eyes.
“What? Of course not! You, Y/N, are the best thing that has ever happened to me. It was me who felt not man enough to be your dad. In the beginning when you suddenly appeared on my doorstep I panicked and thought I could have never lived up to the responsibility of a father. So I became your fun big brother to save you and me from disappointment. At some point I just felt that I had missed the point of telling you without the fear of consequences. So I stuck with the lie. I never meant to hurt you and I hope you can forgive me. I love you so much.”
That explanation was enough for you to jump into your fathers arms and hug him close.
“I love you 3000, dad. And can we now please get out of here? Bucky doesn’t deserve to die. Can you maybe see that he was controlled and hates himself as much for what Hydra made him do as you hate him? He is actually a really nice guy and like a brother to Steve and you know Steve, would he have bad friends? Also Buck needs help, physical and psychological. So please dad let us help him. He’s a war hero after all.” you finished your plaidoyer.
Your dad just stared at you but in the end took a deep breath and said: “let’s get home. I can’t do anything here.”
Outside you met King T’Challa who was holding Zemo in his grasp. He was gonna bring him to the CIA and then fly home to bury his father. He also promised to help with Bucky’s recovery because Wakanda had the most advanced technology to heal anything.
For months you stayed in Wakanda, which was pretty beautiful by the way, to maybe help Bucky recover step by step.
That’s also how you became close. You went for walks and to his therapy sessions together. The latter also because you thought you could use some talking about your life too.
At first he had wanted to go back into cryo but you had convinced him that that wasn’t necessary. In the beginning your dad had called you everyday to check in but he had stopped after a particularly annoyed outburst on your side.
“Bucky you alright?” you asked him one night after he had come home from his private session with Ayo.
When you saw his face you noticed the big tears leaking down his face.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” you asked scared this time.
Without saying a word he just walked up to you hugging you close to his chest and kissing you intently.
“You know how much I love you, right?” he whispered.
“Of course. but what happened with Ayo that has you this shaken?” you were persistent.
“I’m free, baby. She said all the trigger words and nothing happened. I’m free.” he repeated as if not believing it himself yet.
You started crying, too at that moment. You knew how much that meant to him, hell how much it meant to you. He had full control of his life back.
“I’m so proud of you babe. You deserve this so much. The past is finally behind you and we can start into a new future.”
“I love you.” he whispered into your hair and started kissing down your neck.
“Oh, okay. So that’s where you are going. Hmm, I like that. But let’s go inside first.”
You pushed him backwards until you reached the hut and inside your bed. You pushed him down and straddled his lap. He grabbed the seams of your blouse and tore it down the middle so the buttons flew in every direction.
“Someone is needy, hm?” you whispered while grinding down on his boner.
“Need you so bad.” he murmured
“You know I would give you everything. Come and take what you want. I swear I won’t break.” you kissed him intensely again before he threw you around and you landed with your back on the mattress.
The next thing he did was rid you both of your clothing. The look on his face was absolutely feral.
“Need to breed you baby. Fuck a baby in you.” he groaned and your pussy clenched around nothing.
“Gotta prepare you first.” he slurred just as he pushed a finger into your dripping wet cunt.
And the moment his tongue touched your aching clit you came with a cry. But he didn’t stop there. No. He kept on flicking your nub with his tongue and added a second finger to stretch your walls for his girth.
“Getting you nice and wet, baby.” he moaned. When he hit that particular spot you arched your back and pushed your pussy further into his face. It didn’t take long for you to come again. You drenched his face in your juices which he happily licked off of his face.
He climbed up your body and on the way nipped at your breasts and left hickies on your neck.
“I can’t hold on any longer. Gotta be inside you.” those words were the last warning before he breached your entrance and pushed his massive length inside your tight channel.
“Oh, fuck Bucky. So big. Shit.” you moaned loudly which seemed to spur him on.
He pummeled into you with all the force he could muster.
His blissed out face was all you ever wanted to see again.
His rhythm got erratic. You put your hand in his hair and coaxed him “Let go baby. We’ll be fine. I love you so much.”
That was all it took for him to lose it and he spilled deep inside you.
He collapsed on top of you and then rolled to the side, not to crush you. You winced when he pulled out.
“That was amazing.” you breathed out. “Yeah. Best sex I ever had.” he agreed.
You two lovebirds spent 6 more weeks in Wakanda. Then Bucky got his vibranium arm and you left Wakanda to go back to New York. No matter what you told yourself, you did miss your dad.
But you definitely promised to come back every time you got the chance.

Did they watch the same movies as us..? 🤦‍♀️
First, how can they blame Tony for not picking up the phone? After all that happened in Civil War?
- tony found out that his parents were murdered, and saw them die on video in front of him.
- he found out that his friend in whom he trusted knew about it, didn't tell him, and continued to lie.
- he ended up being betean with such hatred that they almost killed him, when they were already the ones who had just hurt him.
- and they leave him alone there with a dysfunctional armor, physically and psychologically hurt.
Plus, Tony was obviously going to call, (otherwise why would he take the phone with him everywhere he went, even when he was just going for a jog with Pepper?)
He just took a few seconds before calling the man who broke him (and never even apologized) Because yes, feelings exist..
And another thing, when will they understand that Tony signed the Accords to protect people? It was requested by 117 countries. Tony listened to them, and understood them. (he didn't feel above them or above the laws, unlike team cap.)
He did what he had to do, even if he was not really happy about it either, to protect the population from collateral damage.
Tumblr media
And how can they compare Tony to Hydra.. If anyone here had anything to do with hydra, I'll just point out that Wanda actually joined them deliberately at one point. (not to mention that she also joined ultron and unleashed the hulk on a city..) And in order to "destroy", when Tony just did everything to "protect."
Finally.. when will they stop blaming his ego?? What ego? All I see is a broken man, who hates himself, blames himself for everything, and always puts others before himself without ever receiving anything in return.
Tumblr media
Since I saw a lot of these antis these days.. here is a little reminder that
Tony Stark is absolutly NOT a villain ⬇️
IRON MAN 1: the first thing he notices when he's captured by terrorists is that they have his weapons and the harm they can do with them. And he prefers to be tortured and die than to do what they want. When he return to the US after months of capture, the first thing he does is to announce that he shut down stark industries because it was more important for him than his health. Then he take responsabity for what Stane did, risks his life to save everyone, and says he's rather DIE than not do that. And, he sacrifice himself to prevent Stane from using his suit.
IRON MAN 2: his arc reactor kills him and using the suit accelerates his poisoning but he continues to help people. he's going to die but he thinks of others, he gives his company to pepper, his collections to kids, and organizes the stark expo, to help science one last time. he does everything to keep his armors and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. and at the end he goes at the expo with a new arc reactor and without a test. not knowing the risk. to get there faster and save everyone.
AVENGERS: he had been rejected from the avengers project but when the shield needs him he comes to help. (and he researches their purpose to make sure he's not helping the wrong people.) + he's the one who doesn't treat banner like a monster when everyone else did. he sacrifices himself again, sending the nuke into the wormhole. and the first thing he does after the battle of NY, is to transform his tower into the Avengers tower (with personalized floors for each of them) to give them a home and a family, and create organizations to protect people.
IRON MAN 3: he saw the aliens and he knows something is going to happen. he sacrifices his health, spending day and night without sleep, making new suits, to protect his loved ones and everyone. when his house exploded he save pepper and tells her to save maya instead of him. he has ptsd, anxiety attacks, nightmares, but never stops fighting, and when the mandarin arrives he goes to stop him. + he doesn't hesitate to remove his arc reactor and suffers to save the kid who bullied harley.
AVENGERS 2: wanda shows him a traumatic vision, his biggest fear, all his fiends dead. he knows that they will not be strong enough alone and wants to stop that from coming true, so he creates ultron/vision. he blame himself and always think he didn't do enough. he says that is the avengers die, he'd rather die with them. he couldn't bear to outlive them, and he sacrifices himself again in sokovia by going under the flying city and blowing it up.
CIVIL WAR: he listens to the 117 countries, he want everyone to be safe and sign the accords to prevent collateral damage. he save wanda bucky steve from jail, offer medical care for bucky and protect wanda from blame. (and he asks vision to stay with her because he knows she likes him). he does everything to avoid the fights and keep everyone together. he's injured, rhodey is paralized, they all betrayed him, but he still goes to help steve. and even after all that he continues to create new things for them, to protect them..
HOMECOMING: the first thing he does after he gets back from siberia, after all the trauma he's been through, is to take peter home. (peter was already spiderman and tony just gave him more protection with a new suit.) he watches over him, protects him, supports him. he asks him to stay away from danger, he takes care of him like his dad never did for him, he made everything he might need in his suit from his own experience, he teaches him to take responsibility. he doesn't want him to go through the same suffering he went through
INFINITY WAR: he did everything to protect everyone, even if they never listen and blamed him. during 6 years he constantly fears an attack, he carries steve's phone everywhere, he made new armors and even implanted a new arc reactor in his skin. he just wanted to live with pepper but when thanos arrives, he goes into space, alone, to face his biggest fear. he face him with his bare hand and he sacrifice himself, begging strange to let him die and not to give the stone for him.
ENDGAME: he's afraid to lose his family and he didn't want to die, but he's still going to help the avengers. even when he finally had a reason to live, when he has a home, a wife, daughter, that he was so close from happiness, he sacrifices all this for a world that doesn't even love him.
tony always did everything for the avengers, he always treated them like family, he made them equipment and took care of them, he did everything to keep them together.. even if they are not there for him, he's always there for them.
Tumblr media
he's always full of attention for everyone like making them smoothies after battle, or remembers little details about them. he pays attention to the feelings of everyone and helps and comfort them. he always makes sure that they are okay.
Tumblr media
he takes responsability for everything, creates organizations and the iron legion, pays to help repair the damage, gives scholarships, always takes care of people during battle, he evacuates the places, and when there's no time he keeps the danger away by drawing it towards himself.
Tumblr media
he's always the one who suffers the most, he has been through the worst traumas but never stop. his priority has always been others. he sacrificed everything, his physical and mental health, his life and his happiness. always ready to risk his life, suffer and die to save everyone.
Tumblr media
how can some people be so wrong about him.. how can they hate the man who does everything for his friends, his family.. who sacrifices everything for them and for absolutely everyone..?
this man has the biggest heart and the best soul 💖💖

Nirvana (Wanda Maximoff/ Reader)
Tumblr media
Hello, again! We have reached Infinity War! Loosely inspired by Sam Smith’s “Nirvana”. Pieces from the film are used here with some definite adjustments. Let me know what you think.
Summary: Wanda and Y/n attempt to navigate the course of healing. Will other circumstances get in their way?
“It's too late to run away from it all, it's too late to get away from it all, I'm done with running, so I give in to you.”
Being on the run with Wanda was a stark contrast to being on the run alone. The feeling of emptiness was easily replaced with fulfillment and meaning with Wanda. She transformed what used to be a burden that weighed heavily on you into something light and manageable.
You both spent days and nights rebuilding the ruins of trust that used to lay shattered at your feet. It wasn’t always easy. Some nights were hard and ended in screaming and tears, others were effortless and made it feel as if no time had ever passed between the two of you. Despite yourself, you couldn’t help but completely adore both sides.
There was no doubt in your mind that the love you both shared together had blossomed into something even more powerful than it was before. There was one problem though, you couldn’t seem to allow the final wall you had built around your heart to fall. That final line between friendship and romance seemed to be the hardest for you to cross.
You knew that Wanda noticed, but she never pushed you for more than you offered. She was fully aware that you had to set the pace and that she had to earn her way back in. She was more than willing to be patient.
Currently you were both located in a small apartment in Scotland that truly felt like a place you could both call home with the beauty and stillness that the city offered. Unfortunately, you’d been stuck inside the last few days because of a torrential downpour. When you heard the rain stop, you wandered over to the large bay window and opened the curtains fully to allow the moonlight to seep in.
Wanda looked up from her book when you left your shared bed. Her eyes watching you curiously. “The sky looks beautiful tonight.” You whispered in awe, your eyes locked on the full moon.
With a small smile, Wanda put her book down and wandered over to you, slowly wrapping her arms around you from behind. She always allowed you time to pull away. “Not as beautiful as you, moya lyubov.” She whispered against your ear and pressed a light kiss to the side of your head.
With ease, you leaned into her, so your back was pressed flush against her front. Your hands rested over hers. “Wanda?”
“Hmm?” she hummed as she buried her face into your neck.
“I’m happy you’re here.” You confessed quietly, feeling vulnerable at your admission.
Even though you couldn’t see it, you could feel her smile against your neck before she turned you in her arms, so you could face one another. “And I am happy you’re here with me.” She rested her forehead lightly against yours.
“Wanda, I…” you stared into her beautiful green eyes which watched you adoringly. Your heart pounded nervously against your ribcage. The words practically hanging off your lips. “I…”
Lovingly, she raised a hand to lightly caress your cheek. “Yes?” Her tone was patient.
“Do you want to go for a walk?” you finally stuttered out, avoiding saying what you truly wanted to at the last minute. Not able to shake that last remnant of fear in your heart.
Disappointment flashed briefly across Wanda’s face before she replaced it with a small smile. “It’s cold out though, krasivaya. We should stay in and cuddle and watch our show instead.” She countered offered hopefully.
You turned your face slightly and kissed the palm of her hand, watching her practically melt at the action. While Wanda tried to show affection as often as she could, you still hesitated the majority of the time so even small actions like this made her swoon.
“It’s beautiful out though,” You said with a pout. “And we’ve been trapped inside the last few days. Let’s just go for a little.”
Wanda threw her hands up in defeat and turned away from you to get dressed. “You’re lucky I love you.” She grumbled as she put on her boots. You couldn’t help the small smile that appeared at her words.
Half an hour later you were both walking hand in hand down an empty cobble stoned street. You couldn’t help but watch her out of the corner of your eye, the way her nose became pink against the cold night air, the way her eyes were so full of life despite the circumstance. You loved her, all of her. Your efforts to prevent yourself from loving her always proving to be futile. It was impossible to not love her.
You decided you needed to try and tell her again. To push passed your fear.
“What?” she asked with a laugh. “Why are you staring at me like that?”
You pulled her to a stop and smiled slightly at her. “Because you are beautiful.”
A rosy pink spread across her cheeks as she ducked her head shyly. “Quite the charmer there, Y/n.”
“Wanda, I need to tell you something.” You said seriously.
Her brows furrowed in concern at your sudden change of tone. “Of course, what is it?”
You took a deep breath and took both her hands in yours. “For so long I felt broken. Convinced that a broken heart was just something I would just have to learn to live with. The pain from that night on the roof was so intense that I sealed off my heart. Swearing that I would never allow someone back in… Swearing I’d never allow someone back in because I knew I wouldn’t survive the pain a second time.” Wanda’s thumb traced over your knuckles soothingly as she listened with rapt attention. “I never would have imagined that you’d be the one to help stitch me back together.”
The vulnerability you allowed yourself to express made you feel anxious as your gaze fell to the floor. Wanda gently used her thumb to tilt your head up so you could look into her eyes again.
The love was clear in her eyes as she slowly leaned forward, giving you time to pull away. Rather than pull away, you met her half way and connected your lips in a gentle kiss. Sighing contently at the contact as Wanda gently tugged you closer by the waist. This was the first genuine kiss you had both shared since your break-up. Kissing her felt right and you couldn’t help but feel at home in this moment.
When you pulled away you rested your forehead against hers. Watching the way her eyes glimmered happily. “Wanda, I lo-“
“Wanda.” The sound of another voice interrupted your words. You both turned to find Vision in his human form as he walked over to her urgently, making no attempt to address you. “I need your help.”
At the sight of him, you stepped away from Wanda slightly, which caused her to frown. “How did you find me, Vis?”
“I am part android, Wanda.” Vision said simply then winced. “It’s the stone, I need you to tell me what you feel.” He said and grabbed Wanda’s hand, placing it over the stone.
Wanda looked back at you hesitantly, but you were looking off in the distance, your arms crossed defensively. She couldn’t help but feel like she just took dozens of steps back in the progress she had made with you.
With a sigh she looked back at Vision and allowed her magic to enter the stone. “I just feel you.” She replied with confusion.
Before either could say anything, you took urgent strides away. Wanda immediately noticing and following you, worried you were trying to leave her. You stopped in front of a shop window. Your eyes focused on the screen that was facing out towards the street. With concern, you watched the scene of what was occurring in New York play out on the TV. “What are they?” you questioned, more to yourself than anything.
“What the stone was warning me about.” You heard Vision reply as he came to a stop beside you both.
Even if you didn’t know what was happening you knew you needed to do something, you needed to help. “Wanda, I won’t ask you to go if you don’t want to, but I think I need to go. To do what I can to help.” You said quietly as you began walking backwards.
Wanda’s eyes became wide with nerves, she knew she had to convince you to stay. “Y/n, I don’t think going is a good idea. Maybe you should wait until-“
“Wanda-“ Your words were cut off as you felt something slice deeply into your side and throw you into the wall of the building you were standing next to.
“Y/N!” Wanda screamed, instantly moving to run to you when a creature stepped in front of her.
The being chuckled at her tears. “Fear not, we are not here for her, but for him.” Before Vision or Wanda could react, the same object that had sliced into you had stabbed Vision and propelled him to the opposite side of the street. Wanda stepped back and was preparing to attack when she got hit with a force and was hurled into a window. The creatures took the opportunity and began digging into the stone on Vision’s head.
Weakly, you stood up, holding your bleeding side as you flicked your wrist, forcing the creature to sink into the floor. The other one turned to face you angrily when you felt yourself become incased in a red glow and get thrown in the air along with Vision. The ground quickly approached you until you felt the same red glow cushion the impact and place you back down.
Wanda tried to help you sit up when you waved her off. “Help Vision, he was hit worse.” She looked reluctant but did as you asked and helped him up as the three of you moved into an arch way to find some semblance of safety. Wanda wearily waved her hand over Vision’s wound as futile wisps of red attempted to seal it.
“The blade. It stopped me from phasing.” Vision gasped out between pained breathes.
Wanda turned towards you with wide eyes. “Is that even possible?”
“It’s not supposed to be.” Vision’s labored reply came.
Trying to ease Wanda’s nerves you quietly mumbled, “I’m beginning to think we should have stayed in and cuddled like you asked.” A weak smile crossed her lips before the creature flew in and took Vision.
Before either of you could react, the second creature came and attacked, cutting into your wound again. You hissed in pain as Wanda furiously sent the creature flying back at the sound of your pain. Working together you were able to keep her at bay until Vision’s screamed echoed through the plaza you were in. “Go, Wanda! I can handle this.” You shouted to her.
“Y/n, no.” She began to protest, forcing the being back with her powers.
“GO!” You shouted, building a wall from the concrete to buy yourself time. It was clear that Wanda didn’t want to go, but you saw the flashes of red lift her up and onto the building that Vision was taken to anyway.
Using your hands, you manipulated the concrete to attach to the being’s hands, forcing them down into the ground as you brought the clock tower down and buried her in the rubble. Quickly manipulating the earth until she was completely encased. As you were looking around for the next best course of action, you felt Wanda fly down and wrap an arm securely around you as she used her powers to propel the three of you into the air and away from danger.
The moment was short lived though as you felt a blast of energy hit Wanda and suddenly the three of you were free falling. You felt Wanda wrap her body tightly around yours in mid-air, obviously trying to absorb the impact. The glass ceiling you crashed into shattered easily as you slipped out of Wanda’s arms and slid across the platform of the train station and into a metal rail. You groaned when your side made impact with the railing. Vision landing on the opposite end.
Wanda urgently rushed over to you. Her tone was panicked. “C’mon, get up. We have to go.” She gingerly placed an arm under you and helped you stand. The blood drained from her face when she saw her hand come away covered in blood. You leaned against the rail behind you weakly. Just a moment later the creatures returned. Without hesitation, Wanda turned to take a protective stance in directly front of you as her hands began to glow.
The creature seemed more interested in something over Wanda’s shoulder though as it threw its weapon which was stopped in its trajectory by the shadow.
A moment later, Steve stepped out of the shadows. You couldn’t help the look of relief that spread across your features as you sunk back down to the floor, feeling woozy from all the blood loss. Wanda rushed over to you, pressing tightly to the bleeding area of your abdomen. You vaguely watched as Sam and Natasha attacked the beings by surprise but the injury made it impossible to focus for long. It seemed as though you blinked and suddenly Steve was marching over to you as Sam and Natasha helped Vision up.
“Let’s get you home and patched up.” He said gruffly as he lifted you into his arms. Wanda followed closely behind, worry never fading from her expression. With the adrenaline wearing off and the knowledge that Wanda was now safe, you decided couldn’t keep your eyes open any longer as you allowed the world fade out to black for rest.
                              ______________________________
When you finally came to, you were almost certain that the events of the night before were just a nightmare, until you felt the dull throbbing in your side. You squinted your eyes open to find Wanda at your bedside, her hand in yours and her eyes worried. The tension draining from her shoulders when she saw your eyes open.
It seemed you were back at the Avengers tower infirmary.
“Y/n,” she breathed out. “I’m so glad you’re okay. I was so worried.” Gently, she tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and tenderly kissed you, which you gladly returned.
When you pulled back you weakly chuckled as you tried to lighten the mood. “I wish I was a synthazoid like Vision, no blood. Faster rebound time.” Her eyes looked conflicted. You sat up, only wincing slightly. “What? What aren’t you telling me?”
With a sigh she squeezed your hand lightly. “We have to go to Wakanda. Steve says they might be able to extract the stone from Vision without destroying him. If that fails, I may need to destroy the stone myself.” She paused slightly, clearly troubled by the information. You knew what that implied.
“Are you okay?” you questioned, swinging your legs off the cot so you could be closer.
Wanda answered with an unconvincing nod. “I don’t know if it’s something I’ll be able to do.” She said quietly as you squeezed her hand in comfort. “I think you should stay.” She finally added, her expression serious.
Your brows furrowed. “I’m not going to stay. I’m going to help in whatever way I can... I need to go and make sure you’ll be okay.” You said with finality, leaving no room for her to argue.
She knew you wouldn’t budge, all she could do in response was move to stand in between your legs and take you into her arms tightly. Terrified of all that could happen. Terrified to lose you.
“So cute.” You heard a teasing voice call out from the door way. You looked up to see Natasha and Steve standing there. Steve with a content smile on his face.
Wanda pulled you closer as you rolled your eyes at Natasha. “Shut up.” You quipped playfully.
“I’m glad you’re up, kid. You lost a lot of blood on the flight back. You had me worried for a second there.” Steve admitted with a small frown.
Carefully you released Wanda from your arms and hoped off the cot, keeping her hand in yours all the while. “You can’t get rid of me that easily, Capsicle.” You said lightly.
Despite the severity of the situation, Steve couldn’t help but laugh. He missed moments like this.
“Hate to take you away from lover girl, but Rogers and I have been waiting patiently for a hug.” Natasha said teasingly as she opened her arms. You looked at Wanda who let go of your hand reluctantly so you could hug the remaining two in the room.
When you pulled away from Steve, you gravitated back to Wanda, taking her hand in yours instinctively. Steve and Natasha exchanged pleased looks. “So,” you began nonchalantly, “When do we leave?”
Wanda clenched her jaw at your words, it was clear to everyone that she was unhappy with your decision.
Steve knew better than to fight you on something once your mind had been made though. “As soon as you’re dressed. Bruce will explain what we’re up against on the flight there.” _________________ Arriving in Wakanda was breathtaking as you marveled at the magnificent land, one short glimpse at Wanda let you know she was equally as awe struck. You just wished you were there on better circumstances.
There was very little time to admire as you were all ushered into a building where T’Challa’s sister, who’s name you learned was Shuri, could analyze Vision. You quickly realized Shuri was brilliant and far smarter than Bruce and Tony. You couldn’t help but snicker when she critiqued Bruce’s work on Vision, Wanda also giggling but being much more discreet than you.
As you listened to the conversation go on around you, you could feel Wanda slip her hand into yours and interlace your fingers. You turned your head to face her, taking note of how anxious she appeared. “Are you okay?” you asked quietly.
Wanda looked back at you with a hesitant smile. “As long as you’re here I am.”
You could feel the words on your lips again, those three little words that you’ve wanted to tell her since Scotland. You bit your tongue though because this moment didn’t feel right to tell her. Instead you lightly kissed her, hoping that she understood what your heart was trying to convey even if you hadn’t said it out loud yet.
The sound of a loud explosion caused you two to pull apart and glance out the window where the sound was coming from. You tried to keep a neutral face as you all watched what had to have been half a dozen foreign ships land outside the protection of the dome and attempt to enter.
“We’ll hold them off.” T’Challa said determinedly when Shuri explained she needed more time.
Steve turned to where you and Wanda stood. “Wanda, as soon as that stone is out of his head, blow it to smithereens.”
“I will.” Wanda said with a resolute nod as the rest of the team began moving out to go defend the land. You turned towards Wanda and she immediately began shaking her head when she saw the look in your eyes. “No. You can’t go.”
Gently, you brought her hand up to your lips and placed a short kiss on her fingers. “I have to. I have no use here. Out there though… out there they could use my help.”
“Y/n. No.” Wanda said seriously, her lip trembling.
You slowly began backing away, your extended hands keeping you connected. “I have to, Wanda. You know that.”
“Then I’ll go with you.”
You shook your head solemnly. Trying desperately to mask the fears you felt. “They need you here. You’re the only one that can destroy the stone, the only one that can stop Thanos.”
Wanda marched forward and took your face in her hands, kissing you passionately which you gladly returned for a moment, but you knew you had to go, so you reluctantly pulled away.
You reached a hand up to gently wipe away the single tear that fell down her cheek. “You and me, we’re a happy ending, okay? We’ll have a happy ending. I’ll always come back to you.” You whispered to her gently as you stared at one another for a moment. After a minute, you turned and ran out to catch up to the rest of the team before you lost your nerve.
“I love you.” She said to your retreating figure, wishing she said it just a moment before, wishing that you’d have a chance to say it to each other after the battle was done.
                         ____________________________
Out on the battlefield, the fight was intense, and it genuinely felt for a moment as though you would all lose, each one of you out there heavily outnumbered in comparison to Thanos’ army. You were surrounded by the enemy with Natasha and Okoye, preparing to fight when red wisps suddenly appeared and redirected the deadly machines to the swarm of creatures that were about to overtake you all.
“That’s my girl.” You said proudly as Wanda turned to look at you, a small smirk on her lips.
Before any of you could react, you heard Steve over coms. “Anyone have eyes on Vision?”
Wanda shared a look with you, still reluctant to leave your side. You nodded at her reassuringly. “Go. I’ll be right behind you.”
“I love you.” She said sincerely and steadily before using her powers and flying away.
For a moment you allowed yourself to watch her. “I love you too.” You said to yourself before Natasha got your attention.
“Let’s go. They’ll need all the help they can get to keep him away from the stone.” Without hesitation all three of you began running towards the forest in the distance with determination. Herds of creatures attacking you along the way.
Eventually you saw an opening to not harm anyone on your side and used your powers to split the earth making the creatures fall in and clearing a path for you.
By the time you reached Wanda you found her standing over Vision’s lifeless body with a horror stricken look on her face.
“Wanda?” You called tentatively, but when she turned you felt your knees give out underneath you, an odd feeling of fading away overtaking your body.
Dread instantly filled Wanda’s body as she watched you fall to the floor. She hurriedly ran over to you and fell to her knees by your side, collecting you in her arms. “Y/n,” She cried urgently, “What’s wrong?”
“Wanda,” You whispered with a small smile on your face as you looked up at her, raising your hand to rest over her cheek. The simple action alone feeling almost impossible in your state of fading. “I love you. I'll always love you. I wish I had told you sooner. I wish we had more time.”
She let out a choked sob as she attempted to pull you closer. The words that she had dreamed of hearing from your lips out in the open, but this wasn’t how she wanted it. She didn’t want to hear those words as you were leaving her. She wanted to hear them and experience life with your love. She couldn’t lose you.
“Y/n, I love you. Don’t go,” She cried desperately, her forehead pressed firmly against yours as she pressed a desperate kiss to your lips. “Please, don’t go. I need you.” Wanda begged through broken sobs as she could feel you begin to disintegrate in her arms. Only a moment later you were gone, all that was left was dust in her hands.
Heartbroken cries fell from her lips as she clutched desperately at the ground you had been just moments before.
Only a moment later, she began feeling herself fade as well and willingly gave in to the feeling. The feeling brought her a despairing form of peace because with it came the knowledge that she wouldn’t have to exist in this world without you. The realization offered her a twisted form of comfort as she faded into nothingness as well.
Oof, part 11! I knew Infinity War was a lot but I didn’t realize how much until I wrote this. Next up is..... What do you all think is going to happen next? Remember there are two more chapters. ;) As always, hope you enjoyed and let me know your thoughts and comments! I love reading them all!

So.. I am now going to explain why I have come to realise that I ship Sylki.
I know a lot of people don't like that ship and I totally understand why. In fact, I still prefer a sibling dynamic between them bc I ALWAYS prefer sibling dynamics. For me, those relationships feel much more profound and real, especially in the context of the MCU. That's probably one of the main reasons why I loved Black Widow so much. It had that awesome sisterly love between Yelena and Natasha.
In my opinion, as soon as it comes to romance in the MCU, it's underwhelming. Some relationships like Thor/Jane are there just for the sake of it, develop way too fast and without any good reason and leave me completely cold. Then there is the bad ass/dumb ass dynamic, where a kick ass woman falls in love with a guy who's unable to stay serious for more than 5 minutes; like Hope/Scott and Gamora/Quill. I kinda buy those, bc there is actually a development from "I hate him and his stupidity" to "I can stand him and am kinda fond of his antics". Those ships usually kinda grow on you and in the case of Gamora/Quill I actually buy that they deeply love each other.
Then there is Nat/Bruce...let's not talk about that...what the hell was that even. They never addressed it again after AoU...
And Pepper/Tony....which I know many people ship but I'm really not a fan of. With them it's a friends to lovers story. Cute, but tbh I never felt like they were truly romantically in love or anything. But that's just me.
The notable exception here is Wanda/Vision, which actually had a strong emotional impact on me in WandaVision and made Vision's death in Infinity War more heartbreaking, BUT it developed mainly off-screen and I could not have seen that coming in CA:CW. If it wasn't for their own series showing us Wanda's grief for him I would still be wondering "How did this happen?".
What I want to say is this: Almost every singly one of the canon MCU ships feels inconsequential and/or convenient to me. Like, with the exception of Gamora/Quill and Wanda/Vision I feel like all those couples could break up tomorrow and the characters would more or less easily get over it soon enough. Even if they are together, happy and somehow in love, I always feel like "this love story could have happened with another character as well. This was not his/her soulmate, they just learned to get along and then something started. If they had never met, that character could have ultimately found someone else".
NOW. With Sylki it's the first time that I feel like this is not the case. The series gives me the feeling that Sylvie might just be the only person in existence that Loki could ever truly love bc she accepts and understands him fully. If they had not met, neither of them would have found anyone who they would have loved equally (and I know Mobius/Loki is a dream team, but even with them I don't feel like they were really made for each other. In fan fiction perhaps, but as a canon ship?)
And beyond the plot obviously suggesting that they are fated for each other in some way (the nexus event on Lamentis), Sylvie and Loki seem really cute together. And I mean that as an objective fact. Their interactions in the 5. episode was made to look cute and project teenager awkwardness.
They seem to fit well together on an emotional level and they truly need each other. When I look at them I can actually see how they might be the perfect superhero duo.
So essentially, I feel like Sylki is a much more real and profound love story than what the MCU usually offers us.
On another note (and I don't wanna get too deep into that rn) there is the issue with this so-called self-cest, whether that is a thing or not.
Personally, I feel like Tumblr tends to oversexualize everything. Like, for all I care they will never have sex or even kiss. For me that is so completely unimportant for a love story...idk. like, I feel like the physical aspects is all the fandom thinks about...but guys, look at their emotional bond!!! If they weren't incidentally both born as Lokis they would be PERFECT together in all ways. Like...on an emotional level they ARE!
(Please note that this is basically me ranting and I don't expect anyone to share my opinion or agree with everything I said. I realize that some of this is quite controversial)

Steve Rogers Fanfiction Recommendations
Happy birthday, Steve!
I know that there are some (a lot?) of steve fans who sometimes struggle to find fics focused on him, so I am here now putting a list of Steve fics. I was going to fics that I haven't seen recommended a lot and most of the ones on this post have less than 200 kudos only, but I end up putting everything (it's probably easier to put my bookmarks as public but well...). It's a massive list (over 100 fics?), so it's will be separated into several posts/reblogs.
Not all of them are from Steve's POV or even have him as the main 'main' character, but rest assured he played an important role and is featured heavily. Lots of these are friendship-focused but I categorized them. The shippy ones are mostly samsteve, thundershield, and some rare pairings because I don't venture to other ships a lot and when I did it's to the rare ones instead lol. Hopefully, any of you can find some gems from this list and these are as enjoyable or as good as I remembered. I'll continue to update it, hopefully, every time I find new ones.
Fics are under read more.
General
The Rocket's Red Glare
Steve was born on the Fourth of July (no joke), so a party is in order! Unfortunately, PTSD decides to rear its ugly head. Fortunately, Steve's got an entire team at his back to help him through it. And screaming goats.
an entry in the scrapbook of absurdity
In which Steve turns into a baby and bites people.
Baby Steve Adventures
Captain America gets hit by a spell during a battle. The rest of the Avengers look after him.
Do You Remember Being Happy? ('Cause I Sure Don't)
"Dragr," Thor called them. "Demons" Clint had said. "Thieves" is what Steve labels them as. AKA, the one where Steve is captured by creatures that feed off of happy memories, and the team is left to pick up the pieces. Post-Avengers.
In Search of (Bucky, Family, Home)
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov & Sam Wilson
A week following the events of CATWS, Steve recruits Natasha and Sam to help find Bucky.
Sam raised an eyebrow. “Do we need to recap again? You were shot three times, beaten near to death by an enhanced super soldier with a metal arm and then almost drowned. Yeah, your ass is going to need a few more days of healing time.”
The Truth When Captains Meet
Steve Rogers wakes up on an alien’s space ship being carried bridal style by Carol Danvers. As far as first meetings go, it’s memorable.
Irish Coffee
Pairings: Jessica Jones & Steve Rogers
Jessica runs into an incognito Cap at a cafe. They form an unlikely friendship of sorts.
The Lifetimes of Steve Rogers (Series)
What happens when Steve Rogers steps onto the quantum platform to return the Stones? Where does he go? What challenges does he find? Who does he meet? How many lifetimes can one man have?
Fifty-Two Pickup
Less than a week after the fall of the Triskelion, Steve Rogers is released from the hospital. Although his physical wounds are almost fully healed, other injuries need a bit more time, and some help from friends.
little kids get big so fast
Steve ends up having to take care of the deaged Defenders.
Grampa Steve's Bedtime Stories
If Mommy was away for work, then Morgan’s Grampa Steve came over to stay with her. He’d tuck her in, let her give Mommy a kiss on video chat, then hand her the picture of Daddy for his kiss. Once Daddy’s picture was back on the bookshelf, Grampa Steve would turn off the bedside lamp so that Miss Friday could cover the ceiling with stars, and ask Morgan what story she wanted to hear.
“Captain Steve, Grampa! Tell me Captain Steve!”
Grampa Steve sometimes read to her from books and other times watched a movie with her, but her favorite by far was when he told her Captain Steve’s Adventures Through the Multiverse.
On Camping Trips
Sam is more Hermione than Natasha is, and Steve doesn't want to be Harry.
Powerful
Steve loses the advantages of the super-soldier serum. This is not a tragedy.
His Dream
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson
As if on cue, Steve cut him off with a loud sneeze.
"Yeah. Like that." Sam nodded. "And please sneeze into your elbow next time, dude. You could've just started an epidemic."
"Sorry. Allergies." Steve excused, and Sam raised an eyebrow.
"How do you know it's allergies?" Sam asked, and Steve sighed, putting the ingredients together and solving the mystery of what the gas had actually done.
The answer wasn't ideal. "It feels like the seasonal allergies I had before. Before the serum- and I haven't had them since the serum."
Realization clicked in Sam's head.
"The gas de-serumed you."
Steve swallowed and nodded reluctantly.
OR: Steve gets temporarily de-serumed, with his height and stature staying the same but his immune system being as bad as it was before, and has to stay in the hospital to prevent a severe allergic reaction or illness. Sam stays with him the whole time, making sure he's not alone.
A Strange Encounter
Things have gone awry and Strange is injured. With no other options, he's called for assistance from Captain America and his team.
even if we're apart, i'll always be with you
Steve finds a dirty toy bear at an abandoned gas station, on the way back from a school trip. He brings him home.
As Long as You’re Not Tired Yet of Talking
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
When Steve Rogers tells her, “Don’t be a stranger,” as they’re all going their own ways after New York, it makes her want to laugh.
Draw/Breath
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
Natasha like knowing what makes people tick. She likes knowing things, about her teammates and her coworkers and herself. Oddly enough, sometimes other people like knowing her too.
AKA: Natasha wants to know why Steve isn’t drawing anymore, and takes the long way round to get her answer. Because why not.
With Magic We Do Fly
Pairings: Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers
In Civil War we see Wanda fling Steve into the air with her magic. They must have practiced that, right?
Que Wanda throwing Steve against a wall. Many times.
Just Like We Practiced
Pairings: Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers
Steve had said, in the movie when he asked Wanda to lift him into the building, "Just like we practiced." But just how did they come up with the idea of her lifting people with her powers, and putting them up somewhere like an escalator? Perhaps it was because Wanda accidentally sent a certain tall, blond Avenger face-first into the floor once and he decided he would help her learn to utilize this as a confidence building exercise. Natasha keeps an eye, Thor and Sam help build the training grounds, and Wanda has found her new home. Takes place between AGE OF ULTRON and CIVIL WAR.
Black and White but Red and Blue
They're watching black and white film reels, but Steve sees them in colour.
"My shield may be black and white but it was red and blue. Just like the blue sky under which red blood was spilled. Like Bucky's blue eyes and Peggy's red lips..."
The Road Warriors
Characters: Sam Wilson (Marvel), Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov (Marvel), Wanda Maximoff
It wasn't pretty, but somehow the four of them managed to make it through two years on the run.
We'll Fix It
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
Steve has a hard time after his battle with The Winter Soldier and isn't sure what to do with himself. After not seeing him for a week, Natasha finally shows up to his apartment unannounced to figure out how they can get back to work. There is some crying involved.
From Here On Out
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
The Accords, the search for Bucky, the fight at the airport ... In a world where nothing will ever be the same, sometimes the road to rebuilding trust and friendship is a little rockier than it should be.
AKA, the story of Steve & Natasha and how they got to where they are.
Set post-Civil War but pre-Infinity War.
I have this breath and I hold it tight
Parings: Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers, Clint Barton & Wanda Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff & Vision
Steve finally goes to Wanda’s tiny room and taps on the doorframe, although it’s hardly necessary, with the slightly warped floorboards creaking under his feet. “Hey,” he says. “Got a minute?”
Wanda's been a little withdrawn since Steve broke everyone out of the Raft. She's had a lot to think about.
to you.
Pairings: Pietro Maximoff & Wanda Maximoff, Clint Barton & Wanda Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff & Natasha Romanov, Wanda Maximoff & Steve Rogers, Wanda Maximoff & Sam Wilson, Wanda Maximoff & Tony Stark
It's Wanda's birthday today. She's not sure how to feel.
New Love
Pairings: Diana (Wonder Woman) & Steve Rogers
Near the end of World War II, Diana Prince finds herself attempting to reconnect to her long-gone, beloved Steve Trevor. However, she comes across Steve Rogers instead.
Sharing Life (And Canned Green Beans)
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
It’s Thanksgiving, and Steve is hiding in the second living room on the 8th floor of the penthouse apartments with a can of green beans.
I'm Fine
Steve slowly began to realize that the problem with being a national icon, a hero, and a role model, is that somehow, he became more than human. He become a symbol, not a person. So when he becomes increasingly unhappy, deeply depressed, and utterly adrift in a world where he doesn't belong, the loneliness and isolation are unbearable. How could anyone believe that an iconic hero like himself was really just an ordinary kid from Brooklyn, dying inside because everything he'd gained still wasn't enough to replace everything he'd lost? How could he possibly bring himself to bleed on the ones he loves? So he tells himself the same lie over and over, hoping one day, he'll believe it.
dogpile
"My dog ate my mission report" An injured Steve remembers something he has to do. Unabashed Steve and dogs fluff. "Didn't peg you for a pet guy." "Allergies."
Alone In This World (Together)
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov & Sam Wilson
“We’re fugitives,” Steve said finally. “It might never get better.”
“The world’s always going to need saving," Sam replied. "We’re still Avengers. No one can take that away from us.” Then, like they hadn't been having an entire conversation before, “So when do we leave?”
“Once night falls.”
Do we have any idea where she is?”
“No.” Steve took a sip of his coffee. “But I know where she’ll be.”
it gets the worst at night
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov
Here's how it goes: Natasha sometimes shares a bed with Steve. It's not what it sounds like.
(In which there are Colombian drug lords, awkward boners, cuddly super-soldiers and the Avengers are all giant dorks.)
Shelter
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson
Sam and Steve, right after the fall of SHIELD.
Princely Bickering
Pairings: Jane Foster/Thor, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, Steve Rogers & Jane Foster, Steve Rogers & Thor
Steve allows Sam to lean up and inspect his head for bruises and blood. He then checks out Steve’s eyes. ‘Do you know where you are?’ Steve rolls his eyes. ‘Don’t be an ass, Cap, apparently you can break.’ ‘London, England, chasing apparently useless Hydra intel despite having about five hundred international arrest warrants out for us because we’re just that stupid,’ says Steve. Sam pats him - gently - on the shoulder. Life on the run isn't easy, especially not after an injury. Fortunately Steve still has a few allies left.
And The Seconds Tick Down
AU of Civil War. How the world ended in twenty steps when Steve died.
"Grant" and "Francis" Go Shopping
Pairings: Clint Barton & Steve Rogers
Steve and Clint both have holiday shopping to do for their family of choice, so they make a day trip to an outlet mall, have a few heart to hearts, use some coupons, buy a bunch of presents, and eventually get through their shopping lists.
A Tune Without Words
Pairings: Jane Foster/Thor, Steve Rogers & Thor, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson
As he and Sam prepare to begin searching for Bucky, Steve gets various offers of help—some more unexpected than others.
Purpose
Tony Stark wins the fight in Siberia completely by accident.
Steve Rogers does not resist his arrest as he is taken to the Raft.
Sam Wilson, T'Challa, and Pepper Potts pick up the pieces.
Full of Wounds and Still Standing on my Feet
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Wanda Maximoff

Three Awakenings
The first three times that Steve Rogers woke up during his first twenty-four hours in the twenty-first century.

Characters: Steve Rogers, Diana Prince, Steve Trevor Five times -- plus one -- that Diana Prince and Steve Rogers encountered one another.
Better Living Through Pizza
Pairings: Clint Barton & Steve Rogers
Steve takes some time off from soldiering and Avengering to get his head on straight, and Clint is assigned to keep an eye on him, because apparently SHIELD believes in the blind leading the blind. Steve really needs a hobby, since modern television shows baffle him, but Clint keeps bringing him DVDs and pizza.
Five Times Clint Barton Spoke with Steve Rogers about Growing Old and the One Time He Didn't.
Pairings: Clint Barton & Steve Rogers
When Steve Rogers reappeared from the past as an old man, there was a lot of catching up to do. Clint Barton made sure nobody got left behind.
Hammer's Totally Heavy-Handed and Incompetent Revenge
"So, at the end of IM2, Justin Hammer swears revenge on Pepper. He waits until Tony and Rhodey are halfway across the world to launch his attack.
Unfortunately for him, thanks to SHIELD, Iron Man and War Machine aren't the only superheroes in Pepper's rolladex. Steve thinks Pepper's just swell and doesn't take too kindly to somebody trying to hurt her."
Cue badass!Steve and competent!Pepper
Fan Mail
Steve starts getting his fan mail and receives an invitation to the prom. Written for a prompt at the Avengers kink meme. It was a great prompt, and so much fun to write and get feedback for!
Prom. Steve 'Grandpa Iceberg' Rogers at a 21st-century high school prom. "This isn't happening. This whole conversation is just an elaborate practical joke. Bruce really just has orders for widgets or something."
Bruce waved the printouts at him. "Fraid not. I don't really do practical jokes. Messing with other people's moods just seems. I don't know. Karmically unwise."
Mascot
Steve runs. People see Steve run. Steve gets adopted by the neighbourhood he runs through every week day morning. He finds this confusing. Tony finds it amusing.
Locks Not Replaced
Tony angsts back at Avengers' HQ, Ross is a bully and Steve makes sure he doesn't get away with it. In other words, there is much regret, a bit on the philosophy of locks, adventure and far too many Robin Hood metaphors.
woof
For a prompt on the avengers kinkmeme: "...something different happens when Steve gets Dr Erskine's serum plus the Vita ray treatment... Steve does get taller and stronger, but when the first full moon hits, he turns into a big friendly looking dog. Yes, he's a weredog, not a werewolf."
Mission: Baby
Pairings: James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
The Asset finds himself in charge of the care of a small baby, but somehow he knows—he has to protect the baby from all harm, whatever the cost.
14 Tracks
Pairings: Peggy Carter/Steve Rogers, Steve Rogers & Avengers Team 14 tracks from Steve's iPod and how they got on there.
Life Will Rattle Your Bones
Pairings: Erik Lehnsherr & Steve Rogers
Captain America and the Howling Commandos find Schmidt sooner than they thought... wait, what do you mean this is a *different* Schmidt?
In war-torn Germany, the paths of Steve Rogers and Erik Lehnsherr cross, part, and cross again.
come build me up
Pairings: Sharon Carter & Steve Rogers, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
“Do you ever feel like -- like you joined up because you wanted to do good. You wanted to do the right thing but somewhere along the way, you just lost the whole fucking plot.”
“All of the time.”
Or: the one where Captain America and Agent 13 give long distance friendship a whirl.
Down in the Worn Out Place Again
Pairings: Wanda Maximoff & Natasha Romanov, Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov, Steve Rogers & Wanda Maximoff
“You don't look a day over 85, Captain,” Wanda says.
Natasha smiles, just barely, and nudges Steve with her elbow. “She makes jokes now.”
(Post AoU, stories about friendship.)
Satellites
Characters: Natasha Romanov, Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson (Marvel), Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Nick Fury Pairings: Natasha Romanov & Steve Rogers, Minor Steve Rogers/Sam Wilson, Minor Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov
In the immediate aftermath of SHIELD's collapse and Steve's plunge into the Potomac, Natasha considers her place in the world. Also the fact that Steve is depressing.
Timeless Classics
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Avengers Team Five An undetermined number of times (six, apparently) Steve unexpectedly got the reference (sort of), and one time everyone discovered something new together.
you just wait and see
Pairings: Rocket Raccoon & Steve Rogers
“Thor said you’re the captain.” Rogers says, his voice distant, sad smile growing into a sadder grin. “Tough job.”
The Small Hours
Pairings: Steve Rogers & T'Challa, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
"I'm not getting him back, am I." The words were flatly delivered – not a question so much as fatigued resignation. "We will do everything we can to help him," T'Challa quietly replied, but he wouldn't lie, not about this. Not to a fellow warrior he respected on and off the field of battle. "The possibility does exist, however, that the triggers are permanent."
The Man We All Remember From the Newsreels
Still getting used to the twenty-first century, Steve comforts himself with memories of long-gone friends. But Howard Stark, the man Steve remembers, is nothing like the man he sees in the newsreels.
we're all choir boys at best
Characters: Steve Rogers, Johnny Storm
You are totally getting laid tonight. "Please stop talking." You hijacked my brain first, this is totally not my fault.
Epistaxis
Steve doesn't worry the first time he gets a bloody nose that won't quit. But when it happens a second, third, fourth... He, and his teammates, start to get concerned.
You Close Your Eyes and the Glory Fades
His body isn’t his own, he knows that, knew before the procedure that everything would change. That was the easiest thing to wrap his head around, actually, the physical changes. He’s used to his body betraying him, so this is just another thing to learn his way around. But the colors of everything, even the sliver of blue sky he could see, craning his head at the tiny window, look different.
Looking For Answers (From The Great Beyond)
After the Battle of New York is over, and Loki and the tesseract are returned to Asgard, Steve takes a road trip across the country, and tries to figure out what he wants to do next.
Mourning the Future
Steve's ties to the past and the future are pretty tenuous, and the serum ensures he lives in an eternal present state of ever-youthful vigour. When an old war buddy gets handed his last marching orders, Steve has to wonder if everyone will eventually leave.
Riviera Life
Sam and Steve have been traversing Europe looking for Bucky. Not everyone is convinced it isn’t an open invitation road trip.
Voluntary Bros.
Characters: Steve Rogers, Johnny Storm
"Dude, you could be twins, they tested you before they defrosted you to see if you were a clone or something, or if he was a clone," Clint said.
"I want to talk to him, I think. I mean, a girl threw her latte at me last week for not calling her back and this dude felt me up at an art gallery yesterday," Steve said.
Two Brooklynites and One Big Apple
Pairings: Miles Morales & Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes/Steve Rogers
“You did good out there today,” Captain America said, brushing a layer of detritus from his unfathomably broad shoulder. “I’ll see you around.”
“Not if I see you first,” replied Miles, fingergunning with one hand as he sent a web rope fwipping off into the distance with the other, catapulting himself away at tremendous speed.
... in which two superheroes battle with bad guys, embark on community art lessons, and a friendship forms along the way.
Battle Fatigue
Steve thought he was doing okay. Things weren't going great, but they were fine, manageable even, and then suddenly they weren't.
We Become New Yorkers (or: Five Times Steve Rogers Looked For Home, and One Time Home Found Him)
New York is a million cities at the same time. This is how Steve found his.
A beautiful day in the neighborhood
In which Steve and Peter learn that the best way to get through a bad situation is together. And to avoid collapsing buildings. And that concussions are terrible, terrible things.
Leviticus 25
"You want to save Bucky Barnes? You are going to have to put your own house in order first because he is going to need a rock to cling to. You are not ready to be that rock for him. You owe it to him -- and more importantly, you owe it to yourself -- to figure things out, figure out how you can be happy in this time and place, whether or not Barnes is with you."
Strike
Sometimes the road to recovery involves bowling. Conveniently, so does the one to the Grand Canyon.
Conversation in Wakanda
“I have been told that you had the privilege to share a training session with some of our Dora Milaje,” T’Challa says. “May I ask how it went?”
“Well,” the Captain huffs. “There’s no polite way to say it: I had my ass handed to me. Repeatedly.”
He sounds and looks utterly delighted.
Contact Light
Everyone thought computers would be the thing that really blew Steve's mind about the 21st century. They were wrong. When he finds out that he missed the moon landing, it's the start of an ongoing obsession with space that maybe involves Neil deGrasse Tyson, Twitter, and Star Trek marathons.
Twenty-Two
“This is Lucky,” Clint said when a dog got between him and Natasha. Lucky’s vest was bright, like desert mornings and night explosions.
“Does he help?” Natasha asked.
Clint pressed his hands flat on the counter behind him. “He saved my life.”
Natasha looked at Steve, her expression fierce. Steve resisted the urge to yank down his sleeves. Instead, he dug his nails into the puckered skin on his forearms.
AKA An AU in which Steve is a veteran just trying to survive (or not).
Gray
Peter doesn't expect Steve to show up at his house one night when he gets home from school. He also doesn't expect to have a long conversation with him, and choose to be on his side instead.
We're Happy, Free, Confused, and Lonely at the Same Time.
"Tony isn't sure, but he *thinks* Steve Rogers is going to try and argue with him about not being a kid, while wrapped up in a fluffy blanket and plaid pyjama pants watching a Disney movie. Tony really hopes that is the case. The Captain America voice looses all affect when wrapped up in that blanket and Tony can't wait to inform him as such." - The one where Tony realises that Captain America and Steve Rogers are not the same person, and Steve is so much younger then he thought.
This Isn't A Love Song, This Isn't A Fable
Steve's not OK with people's perception of Captain America, no matter what he says or how much he pretends otherwise. It's like no one in this time period realizes that there's more to him than a spangly outfit. And yes, he's including the Avengers in that. ... or, the one where everything's all right, until it's not.
it's safe here in our new world
Post TWS. In which Natasha and Steve go shopping, have Thursday night movie nights, and learn that Natasha loves to platonically kiss Steve. Which is good, because Steve loves being platonically kissed by Natasha.
Shadowboxing
Pairings: Matt Murdock & Steve Rogers
It doesn’t matter how many times you fall – what matters most is how many times you get back up. Steve Rogers knew this lesson far too well and it was one Matt Murdock had endured all his life. With both men at their lowest, could a chance friendship bring each of them to their feet again?
Everybody Eats When They Come to My House
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson, James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
“You’ll ruin your dinner,” Sam says, gesturing with Steve with his spatula.
i fear for the calendar; its days are numbered
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov, Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson
Before she goes off the grid, Natasha gives Steve her phone number. He’s honored that he’s the only one to be trusted with it, but quickly learns that she spends most of her free time texting him Dad jokes.
Status Quo Ante
Pairings: James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
A tale in which Sam suspects he should be used to this by now, for values of 'this' that involve certain folks he hangs out with and situations he finds himself in, Team Cap becomes Team Ex-Cap becomes TBD, and nobody but Clint really wants to know what happened to Scott Lang's GI Joes. (Sam Wilson from the final scene to the mid-credits scene.)
The Glass Parade
Pairings: Steve Rogers & Natasha Romanov, Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov
Steve thinks that he’s seen Natasha be at least three different people in the short time he’s known her, and he isn’t sure which one is real.
In which the most confusing part of the future is how much Steve has in common with Natasha, and the fact that she seems dead-set on being his friend.
Still Life
Steve Rogers and a very modern form of art therapy. (The one where Steve draws himself out of despair and into some notoriety when his cartoons hit the internet, but he's still not allowed to look at Tumblr without an okay from Pepper.)
Selective Service
The serum's given Steve a lot, but it hasn't taken anything away from him. Not even the things he never wanted in the first place.
I'm a Hustler, Baby
Steve Rogers has a talent for pool--and for making others believe he's terrible at it.
The Healing Properties of Felt-Tip Pens
Rapid healing has worked wonders on Steve Rogers' body, but occasionally it really screws with his head. In the aftermath of torture, Bruce Banner helps Steve to reconcile mind and body.
If I Die Before I Wake
It's his job, as their leader, to endure the sadistic focus of their captor, and that is the one thought that carries Steve through.
Even Gods Do
Captain America doesn't have a good relationship with sleep anymore. Also, he's not a toy.
Under My Skin
Written for a prompt on avengerkink: I want to see something where, for whatever reason, Steve's accelerated healing turns out to be a bad thing. Something where the faster healing is making things worse. I would prefer something other than the standard, super-healing allows for more torture without death. “He's lucky – to have the serum, to have you all.” Tony wasn't sure about that first part. When one faced death and destruction every day on the job, there were many advantages to having a healing factor...and a great many disadvantages as well.
A Glossary of the 21st Century
Pairings: pre-Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanov
Steve's sick of not understanding what's going on, and the team are not all that helpful, so he starts keeping an illustrated notebook for further research. With the help of wiki, google and Logan he starts to settle in and find his place in the twenty-first century.
Blanket Gift Policy
“You didn’t,” Bucky said, with no real hope of being contradicted. Clint shrugged helplessly and passed him the large, soft bundle wrapped in shiny purple foil.
“Sorry.” Tony covered his eyes with one hand.
“I’m getting a migraine.”
“So,” Bruce said wearily, “counting Clint, me, Bucky, Tony, and Sam, that brings it up to five.”
“Excuse you, mine’s not a blanket,” Sam said. “Mine’s a slanket. Big difference.”
Bucky resisted the urge to throw the whole heap of parcels at Sam’s head. “Because it has sleeves? It’s still a blanket, Wilson. They’re all blankets. Even Thor’s direct-from-Asgard raven gift delivery was a cloak, which just means it’s a blanket with a strap. We all got Steve a goddamn blanket.”
One Tin Soldier
Written for a prompt at avengerkink: Because really, under any other circumstances, why would they follow him when he's some guy who's younger than the rest of them (time as a Capsicle aside), who goes around wearing that spangly outfit, who's not even used to the modern world? Why Steve Rogers, rather than a Norse god or the CEO of Stark Industries or anyone else?
“Love is for children,” she'd said, but respect knew no such bounds. The five times the Avengers accepted Steve as their leader, and the one time they followed without question.
and if there's life we'll see it
Steve is instantly taken with this idea of having the picture of the person calling you flash on your screen when they ring your cell.
Secure Your Own Oxygen Mask (Before Assisting Others)
Steve keeps going, because they need him. Being Captain America - having the serum - is a responsibility and a privilege he takes seriously, and he won't waste it by sitting around resting in the middle of a crisis. But then the work is over, and the original victims of the crisis aren't the only ones needing looking after.
Way of the Eagle
Clint introduces Steve to kung-fu movies. Things escalate quickly.
Walking Wounded
In the aftermath of the battle against the Chitauri, Steve's doing just fine. Until he's not. Fortunately, Thor is a perfect mother-hen, Tony makes decent back-up, JARVIS is a genius, and Soap Operas are life-changing. (Or, Post-Shawarma Feels.)

atelophobia
Tumblr media
atelophobia is the fear of imperfection. the fear of never being good enough
Tumblr media
request - hello !! i've been wanting to see more sam wilson fics so do you mind if i request a soulmate au one and y/n and sam are frenemies of somesort? 🥺
summary:
y/n and sam haven’t been the best of friends. he always annoyed her and she annoyed him. he hates how snippy she is, she hates how sarcastic he is. however some jokes of his make her crack a rare smile and sometimes he catches that. two people made for each other.
warnings - angst, fluff
word count - 3.2k
a/n - its an au so no endgame/infinity war stuff happened. also no thanos. it’s my first time writing for marvel so go easy on me! also a happy late birthday to sam as well!
marvel masterlist // sam wilson masterlist
Tumblr media
“Why did you assign me with Wilson,” Y/N seethed out questioning the man in front of her. Her arms are crossed on her chest with anger burning in her eyes.
The man before her, Steve Rogers, raises an eyebrow at her sudden outburst. Sure the meeting was already done but he didn’t expect her to be this angry about it. Steve thought that Y/N and Sam were getting along better now and this could help them get along even better. But apparently he was wrong.
“I thought you two were okay,” Steve asked, confused in his voice as she rolled her eyes.
She didn’t hate Sam. No one could really hate Sam. But sometimes he got on her nerves and she has a short temper and the conversation usually ends up in an argument with both of them stomping away. Y/N was always serious about the work so no one would get hurt.
So it irked her when Sam would be casually joking while on a rescue mission or a mission in general. While Sam hated how Y/N would never have any fun, yes Sam did take his work very seriously but he wanted to make the time more bearable for everyone.
So when Y/N snaps at him whenever he makes a joke or just laughs in general he gets kinda pissed off about it. She’s just so unbearable sometimes that it increased his anger even more.
For the past few months everything was fine between them. Of course not finding her soulmate was bad. She hated feeling alone while couples scattered across the Avengers tower. Y/N would roll her eyes everytime Wanda asked if she ever wanted a soulmate and she would respond no. She thought that all the time ‘I don’t need anybody’ but deep down she wanted to have someone to love her and to love someone.
At least there were some Avengers who haven’t found the one.
Sam this last month has been growing on Y/N. He’s been more nice and actually funny in her eyes. He would crack jokes at the right time which would make her let a little laugh out much to Sam’s confusion. It was common that Y/N didn’t smile often. But then everything changed.
One mission which was a rescue mission ended up real bad. It was a mission that only her and Sam attended since everyone thought it would be easy. But Y/N turned the corner and had a fist to the face, she attempted to grab the gun she dropped but the guy shot her in her stomach making her lay down on the floor, holding the wound. Blood was seeping out of it fast and she could feel her vision get real blurry.
Y/N thought she would die there on the floor and she was fine with it as long as Sam got the hostages home safe and him safe as well.
But when she felt herself almost get lulled into unconsciousness a figure appeared before her and soon she realized it was Sam. He looked down both halls to make sure no one was coming before kneeling down before her worriedness in his eyes.
“You’re gonna be okay,” Sam reassured, putting pressure on the wound. His words sounded like he was talking far away. Tears quickly blurred her vision as soon she realized he wasn’t going to get the hostages.
“You-you have to…..” Y/N began to say but flinched when Sam put even more pressure on the oozing wound.
“Don’t talk you can’t waste your energy,” Sam interrupted her and then picked her up bridal style and began to walk her out of the building. Y/N flinched and looked back to see if she saw the hostages anywhere but her vision was getting blurred again.
“The-the hostages,” Y/N stuttered though pain and biting into her lip from screaming out in pain.
“There fine I got everyone in there handled,” Sam reassured as they reached out doors and then lifted himself up and flew across the sky towards the Quinjet that got them there. Y/N closed her eyes and hid her face in his neck as her arms wrapped around his neck. Her heart was pounding as pain pulsed through her body. God she hoped the people were safe.
Then out of nowhere Y/N and Sam heard an explosion and Sam turned around to see the building that was just standing there was up in flames and smoke. Before Y/N could do anything she passed out in his arms as the pain began to get too much for her.
When Y/N woke up Steve was there with Natasha and he explained to her that the hostages unfortunately passed because there was the explosion.
Y/N felt tears fill her eyes as she sat up on the hospital bed. Steve and Natasha left to give her some space as she wondered where Sam could’ve gone. If she would’ve been more aware of her surroundings she wouldn’t have gotten shot and they would've got everyone out safe and fine. She failed them. And she failed her whole team.
Of course she was angry with Sam after this, he should’ve left her there so more people could’ve lived. But she was more angry at herself. She couldn’t face Sam or anyone for a few days. Y/N was awkward around Sam and had anger radiating off her while she talked to anyone. So people avoided her.
That’s why she didn’t want to be paired with Sam. She didn’t want to have history repeat itself.
“I’m sorry Y/L/N but you’re going to have to face him someday,” Steve apologized. He saw how affected she was about this and maybe Sam could help her get over it since he was there with her when it happened.
“Fine,” Y/N scoffed, bumping into his shoulder as she walked off to her room to get ready for this mission.
Her heart was beating as she started to get more and more nervous about this whole thing. She didn’t want anyone else to get hurt because of her. She didn’t want anyone to die. So she wouldn’t be having Sam’s jokes or his snide remarks this day, she needs to be on point.
Y/N got all of her weapons ready before walking out of her room and finally reaching the Quinjet where Sam was sitting down cleaning his guns out. Once he heard her enter the room a smirk graced his lips.
“Look who finally decided to show up,” Sam laughs, turning around to look at her but only finding her face clenching in anger. His brow furrowed in confusion not knowing what was going on with her.
“Let’s get this over with,” Y/N grumbled, taking a seat and getting all of her weapons in place. Sam snickered at her attitude with confusion all over his face.
Of course he knew that Y/N was upset but Sam thought she was over it by now, but he hasn’t seen her this past few weeks but he heard from Bucky that she was in a horrible mood. Sam sighed before going to sit next her which made her huff out of annoyance.
“Okay what’s your problem,” Sam snapped, turning to face Y/N who had shock written all over her face.
“Nothing,” Y/N lied straight through her teeth, not meeting Sam’s gaze which was burning a hole into the side of her head. She didn’t want to tell him that the reason she’s all broody is because of her own failure.
“I know you’re lying so just tell me the truth so we can at least tolerate each other,” Sam says frustration running through his veins as he rubs his forehead.
When Y/N didn’t respond Sam scoffed.
“Fine let’s just get through this and I’ll talk to Steve about us never going on a mission again,” Sam retorted then standing up and sitting on the other side of the Quinjet.
Y/N looked at him in shock, even though she showed signs that she didn’t like working with him, he was really fun. Now because of her own insecurities and failures she’s going to lose an incredible friend or enemy depends on how you see it. Of course Y/N knew it wasn’t his fault, it was her own. Y/N had to prove that she isn’t this failure that Sam or Steve sees in her.
She saw it in Steve's eyes when she was in the hospital and she believes that she just saw it in Sam’s eyes just now. Deep down she knows she’s a failure and it cuts to her deep to the core to even think about admitting it. The mission she failed just proves it to herself and everyone else even more. God she can’t even do her own job right.
Ever since Y/N was young she was all about being perfect. The perfect grades, the attitude, and eventually to try to be the perfect fighter. Imperfection haunted her as the people in her life, she believed were better than her and sometimes didn’t even like her. Steve usually didn’t talk to her unless it’s work, same with Natasha. Bucky never talks to her, Tony’s too busy in the lab, same as Bruce. Wanda was very sympathetic towards her though since she’s looked through Y/N’s mind. Wanda and Y/N are friends and Wanda is her only friend. Vision was more of an acquaintance.
Sam was different though. She felt the need to prove herself to him. Y/N didn’t know why she felt this since she never felt this towards anyone on the team so why should it matter what he thinks. Sam was an enigma to her, he was an amazing fighter and had this charming personality that made her want to smile but she was too stubborn to do so.
This fear of imperfection ruins things in her life sometimes.
The mission was a success and Y/N gave it her all as she got everyone out okay and the bad guys were all on the way to prison. But it filled that whole in her heart, it didn’t prove anything to her or to anyone.
So whenever she feels frustrated she goes to the gym and let’s all of her frustration on the boxing bag. Y/N is usually here often. She likes to stay fit and it acts as some sort of therapy to her. While she was too busy punching the bag someone entered the room and she didn’t even hear it.
“Damn what did that punching bag ever do to you,” Sam’s voice rang through her ears and she dropped her arms to her side and let out a long sigh before turning to face him. He was in his usual work out gear with a smirk spreading across his lips.
“It broke my heart and dumped a year ago,” Y/N responded, a sarcastic tone in her face as her arms crossed around her chest. Sam let out a laugh at her monotone voice and clearly didn’t seem amused.
“That is the first time I’ve ever heard a joke,” Sam chuckled.
“What are you talking about? I'm a very amusing person,” Y/N let out a tiny smile on her lips.
“Who told you that lie,” Sams’ eyes narrow in confusion.
“Piss off Wilson,” Y/N grumbled wondering why she was joking around with the man. But that conversation caused some butterflies in her stomach. She turned around and bent over to grab her stuff.
When she turned around it showed the soul mark that has been there ever since she turned 18. To Sam’s dismay and his eyes widened in shock as the soul mark matched the same to his on his shoulder. Before he could even mutter a word Y/N left the gym giving him a sarcastic smile.
Sam just stood there in shock. His soulmate has been there all along and he didn’t even notice it. He didn’t know how to feel about it, of course he found Y/N attractive and her attitude was sometimes tolerable. But she made it very clear she was all work and no play. Deep down he knew he felt something for her even before he found out about the soul mate crap.
“Sam you okay,” Steve waved a hand in front of his face trying to get his attention. Sam blinked, rubbing his eyes and nodded at Steve's question.
“Pair me with Y/N for the next mission please,” Sam bluntly asked and shock was written all over the captain's face.
“But you told me last night-,” Steve began to say as he looked at him confused.
“Just please do it and don’t tell her she’ll just get all pissy about it,” Sam asked with a pleading look on his face. Sam narrowed his eyes but nodded anyway.
“Your secrets are safe with me,” Steve promised.
Over the next few days Sam has been trying to talk to Y/N but she always seemed to be in her room and it was clear she didn’t want anyone in there. He needed to talk to her about this, he’s been looking for his soulmate for years and he has to do something about it. Sam’s sure that she has no idea about it since she probably would be more awkward around her.
For her next mission Y/N wasn’t sure who her team mate for this one would be. She was hooping it would be Wanda since she was more comfortable around her than anyone else. Though she wanted to resolve this situation with Sam but was too stubborn to do it.
As she walked to the Quinjet she felt her heart drop as she thought she knew that Sam was going to be there. Even though it was tough to admit she liked Sam’s jokes and his whole persona. He wasn’t even that annoying to her but she has built up so much walls to protect her heart from anyone so she wouldn’t get hurt.
“I thought you didn’t want to work with me anymore,” Y/N stated as she entered the Quinjet and saw Sam sitting there with his leg jittering. He jumped not knowing that she entered the room and relaxed when he saw it was her.
Y/N didn’t blame Sam that he didn’t want to work with her.
“I need to talk to you before we go to this mission okay,” Sam firmly stated, making her eyes furrow as she had no idea what he wanted to talk to her about.
“Okay,” Y/N stated she tried to shake the shock off of her body. She sat next to him since he needed to talk about something. “What do you need to talk about,” She asked fiddling with her thumbs.
“About your soul mark,” Sam softly said resting one of his hands on top of hers making sparks flow through her whole body. It felt weird and she didn’t know. She didn't even know why he wanted to know about her soul mark.
“What about it,” Y/N asked curious as the pad of his thumb rubbed comforting circles on the top of her hand.
“I have the same one,” Sam whispers looking directly in her eyes and at first Y/N thinks this is one of his jokes so she let’s a little giggle out at it. But when he wasn’t laughing with her she looked at him with an un comprehensive look on her face.
“What,” Y/N says as she tries to remove her hand from his but he caught and gave it a squeeze. With a sigh he released her hand and lifted up his shirt to show his shoulder that the soul mark was placed. He bent over the seat he was in a bit to let her get a good look at it.
She was shocked as she stared at his back. Her soulmate was Sam Wilson and man she thought she despised and despised her. Her fingers trailed across the skin and kept staring at the mark. It was identical to hers. Goosebumps fluttered across Sam’s skin as she caressed his skin.
“How,” Y/N whispered as she removed her hand and he sat up straight pulling his shirt down.
“Well everyone’s got a soul mark when they’re born-,” Sam smirked as he started to respond to her question.
“Not like that,” Y/N smacked his arm.
“You’ve been working out haven’t you,” Sam grabbed his shoulder faking a wince. “Okay okay I’ll be more serious,” He put his hands up in defense. “I just can’t believe that my soulmate has been here all this time,” He says in disbelief.
“You don’t want me,” Y/N blurted out as she stood up and walked to the middle of the room as Sam stayed sitting down for the moment. His shoulders slumped as his face was contorted into disbelief.
“And how do you know what I want,” Sam fired back, crossing his arms.
“I just do and you won’t want somebody like me,” Y/N snapped, used her hand and pointed to herself and rested her hand on her heart which was racing.
“Why are you so closed off,” Sam fumed, standing up walking in front of her, his stance matching hers. “Why won’t you let anyone in,” He snapped, glaring at her. He hated the way he was talking to his soulmate but he needed some reasons.
“Because I’m a failure,” Y/N shouted as tears brimmed her eyes. “I couldn’t help those hostages. I don’t even know why I’m an Avenger, I suck so bad,” She ran her hands through her hand and tugged on the roots.
Sam stood there flabbergasted as Y/N turned around and cupped her mouth to keep the sobs in. She knew this was gonna happen, this has been building in her for a long time and it was about time that the volcano exploded.
“You’re not a failure,” Sam says still in disbelief that she would think this about herself. He walked so that he was standing in front of her and cupped her cheeks in his hands. He wiped the tears that fell from her eyes. But she had them closed not wanting to give into him. “You’re one of the most badass women that I know. And even though you can have a snippy attitude I know that you want to help people,” Sam softly says pressing his lips to her forehead making her shiver from the electricity.
“How can you think that I’ve been horrible to you,” Y/N says her voice hoarse from crying.
“I also know how dedicated to work you are and that I can disturb that sometimes,” Sam smiles, removing his hands from her cheeks.
“That doesn’t make it okay,” Y/N nervously chuckles looking up at him as she feels heat crawl all over her body.
“How bout this you make it up to me by buying me a coffee,” Sam bargains a smile plastered on his face.
“Are you asking me out,” Y/N asks, feeling a bit of giddy in her.
“Depends on the answer,” Sam shrugs. She gives him a smile before leaning up and pressing her lips to his and putting her hand on his neck. His hands go to her hips as they stand there and kiss.
The Quinjet flying off breaks the two apart with smiles on their faces. The tears that were once there have been dried away and her heart was feeling better.
“I’m guessing that was a yes.”

headcanons under the cut !
so
after steve broke everyone out of the raft you were all on the run for a while
vision and natasha joined you all at some point, and scott and clint returned home to their families
after a while wanda and vision decided to stay in scotland, leaving you with sam, nat, and steve
you were not a huge fan of the idea of leaving her behind
you had already lost your parents and pietro and even though she wasn’t dead you still wouldn’t be able to see her
but you knew why she did what she did
fast forward a little bit
you find out that tony went missing
and then that wanda and vision are being attacked
so u all fly to scotland to help them
*insert u being a badass and beating the shit out of an alien*
finally reuniting w your sister
there were tears
when you arrived back at the compound it was like a breath of fresh air after so long
it’s a shame you weren’t there under better circumstances
immediately getting upset when you saw the hologram of ross
that motherfucker
anyways
going to wakanda was an.... interesting experience
you wanted to enjoy it
but considering why you were there,,,,,,
it was kinda hard to enjoy it lol
wanda ofc stayed up in the lab with vision and shuri
she wanted you to stay up there as well so she could keep an eye on you
she was very hesitant to let you go into the front lines of the battle
even though you were an adult now you were still her little sibling and she was worried for you
you assured her that you would be fine though
fine might be pushing it but
let’s be realistic here
you kicked some alien ass down there
taking out enemy after enemy with no hesitation
pretty impressive tbh. ur fucking awesome
ily
anyways
eventually wanda came down to join the battle
the two of you fought alongside each other
badass sibling duo ugh yes
but then
you had to go against thanos himself
ugly ass mf
you tried to use your magic to remove his gauntlet
you were unsuccessful
he kinda tossed you to the side like a rag doll
which hurt like a bitch
when he snapped you had no idea what tf to do
i mean you had just lost, what were you supposed to do?
you were in the middle of crawling over to wanda, wanting to try to comfort her over the loss of vision
but then she just kinda, disintegrated?
you were in shock for a minute
but then it hit you
“no, no, no, no, no...”
you started sobbing
now you had officially lost your whole family
after a little bit you made your way over to what was left of the team
you all kinda stood in silence for a little while, just processing everything that had happened
eventually you all returned to the quinjet and flew back home
for the first two-ish weeks after the snap you just locked yourself in your room and refused to leave
though eventually you did leave your room again, though very reluctantly
after three weeks had passed by carol, who you were quite fascinated by, returned to the compound carrying a spaceship with her
turns out tony was on said ship
you were glad to see him after so long
and now we jump to going to space to beat thanos’ ass (a g a i n)
you had never been to space before so it was quite a new experience
shame it was under such poor circumstances
when you arrived at thanos’ residence you were out for blood
he took your last remaining family and you were not in the mood to let him get away with it
and then you found out the stones were gone
and everything he had done couldn’t or so you thought be reversed
you were already ready to kill thanos before, but especially now that that was revealed
sadly though, thor took the responsibility of killing the titan himself
*5 years later*
you were 23 now
a whole ass adult
you still lived at the compound with natasha, not exactly having anywhere else to go
not like you would’ve left anyways but
nat had become your sort of support system over the last few years
after all, at this point you really only had each other
all of the rest of the remaining team went their separate ways, none of which deciding to stay with the two of you
one day though steve comes by
you were glad to see him, you had missed him a lot since he left
the three of you had a not-so-positive conversation and then out of nowhere scott appears at the front gate
he tells you his insane idea of using the quantum realm to time travel back to before thanos
you were very wary
you didn’t exactly have a lot of knowledge on the quantum realm but you could still tell that it seemed risky
the four of you went to tony’s house to try to convince him
he almost immediately said no
yikes
you all tried to convince him but to no avail
so you went to bruce hulk instead
bruce?? hulk?? who tf is he tbh
but anywho
when you saw him you were kinda like ????????
but chose to ignore it
you got him to agree to the time travel thing
and it was ?somewhat? successful
somewhat is pushing it tbh
scott became a baby which wasn’t great
but then tony showed up and fixed it like the genius he is
you helped recruit all the remaining avengers to help w the whole time travel thing
you were going to go back in time and get the stones before thanos could
you went with clint and natasha to vormir
you thought it made the most sense for you to sacrifice yourself
after all you weren’t even positive this whole thing with the stones would work, and you couldn’t risk continuing to live a life without wanda and the rest of the team
they stopped you before you could jump though
when natasha dropped you swore your heart stopped beating
she had been all you had for the past 5 years and then she was just gone
you ended up getting the soul stone but at what cost
you and clint returned to the compound and there was a small ‘memorial’ (for lack of a better word) for natasha
after that tony put all of the stones together into a makeshift gauntlet
after a little bit of deliberation it was decided that bruce would be the one to snap his fingers
bruce, hulk, whatever tf
brulk
LMFAO
sorry back to the headcanons LOL
he snapped
immediately everything felt different
you went out to look out a window, seeing a few butterflies fluttering around that you knew weren’t there before
a smile immediately took over ur face
“hey guys, i think it worked!” - you
you were about to turn around and walk back to everyone else
but then
you saw a large ship in the distance
and something began flying toward the compound
and then everything went dark
when you woke up again you were buried under a bunch of rubble
which bruce picked up off of you
you ran out to where thor, tony, and steve were
you saw thanos and froze
they were engaged in a battle and you tried to keep your distance in order to collect yourself for a moment
which proved to be futile because you were dragged into the fight not long after
you kinda got your ass handed to you
it wasn’t pretty
you were lying on the ground when all of a sudden you saw orange light surrounding you
you looked up to see portals opening, all your allies who you had thought to be dead stepping out
you saw wanda and you stopped breathing for a moment
you got up as quick as you could
which proved to be difficult due to ur injuries and overall extreme fatigue
you launched yourself at her, bringing her into the tightest hug you could muster
the two of you held onto each other for a moment before you had to return to fighting
maximoff sibling teamup part 2???? yeah most definitely
fast forward to after thanos and his bitch ass army lost (im sorry i just really dont have the energy to write all that rn)
and to after tony’s funeral
you and wanda had a l o t of catching up to do
like
5 years worth LOL
u had to comfort her over vision’s death a lot
considering that to her, that was still only a couple days ago
and a lot of the time when you two talked the mood was kinda depressing, all things considered
but you still tried to keep it lighthearted
for example
your absolute favorite thing in the world was the fact that you were now older than her due to the snap, 3 years older to be exact
you held it over her all the time, constantly making fun of her for it
all in good fun of course
something wanda really loved was when you would tell her stories from when she was in the soul world (only happy ones ofc)
though it made her sad that you had to go so long without her, and she missed out on so much
she wanted to know what she had missed
all in all
you two were incredibly close, the snap and its aftermath only further confirming that
sibling goals tbh
a/n #2: aaaaaa im sorry to end it on that note (i didnt know how to end it im sorry asf) but yeah </3 and once again, so sorry this took me so long to post, ive been super busy with school && life in general so i just havent gotten around to it :( butttttttttttt if u guys want i could try to continue this series of headcanons for wandavision?? i’d wait until friday ofc for the final episode and id spoiler tag it and everything but i could try my best? might be kinda difficult but i think it could be fun so if anyone wants that then lmk!! :)

Warning: a lot of text
Okay. I know it took me a long time to post about this, but I wanted to organize my thoughts well. I don't like to be writing with my head hot, angry, disappointed, frustrated and sad. Waiting to not have those feelings I was never going to write this. With that cleared up let's talk about "What If?"
To say I wasn't expecting Sharon to be treated badly again would be lying. I was surprised that she showed up and relatively everything was fine (until she was killed obviously). I'm not going to lie it gave me hope, but what surprised me were the writer's words saying that he killed Sharon because he likes Steggy and that he wanted to give her a more grotesque death that Sharon had "Because Steve is Peggy's."
I will admit that I moved a little further away from the UCM series and its projects after "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" Sharon was damaged and harmed again by making her a villain, the writer threw away the work that Emily had done saying that Sharon's moral code was too strong. Not to mention, Sharon has never and never been a villain at will (when she "killed" Steve in Civil War Sharon was under Faust's control) and the power broker is another character in the comics.
Again I walked away a bit more after watching the BlackWidow movie because we never saw that funeral that Nastasha deserved, just a grave with flowers left by people. We never got to see a funeral like Tony's or Yondu's, not even in her movie did they take the time to give her that moment.
I confess I was just reading the synopsis and watching summaries of the series. I watched the Zombie episode because a friend told me "you will be pleasantly surprised and heartbroken at the same time''. So I made the decision to give "What if?" a chance.
Everything was going well, more than well because I was watching Sharon (I almost died of happiness), I see Happy's death and Sharon apologizing and I got sad, but it was going more or less well.... Until I see how Okoye kills Sam, she apologizes to Bucky for killing him and the only thing she replies is something like she's not sad about it...
WTF!!!!  The chapter is set between civil war and infinity war, Sam at that point had already risked his freedom and his life for Bucky. Bucky makes that comment so out of place, cold and ungrateful after Sam helped save him.
I keep watching because I thought it couldn't get any worse HA, HA, HA I'm such a fool for thinking that.
After a while I notice Sharon in the last car of the train, and what goes through my mind is, "Why is she alone in the last car if she only has Tony's glove and not the gun?". She heard the blow and immediately already knew the worst was yet to come, it was all downhill from there.
It is Steve who kills her. At the time I think it's kind of poetic because in the line of movies he took it upon himself to kill the idealistic and innocent Sharon Carter; by abandoning her the two years of fugitives and not looking for her. I guess watching deep movies like "The Shape of Water" and expecting that from Marvel was asking a lot.
Bucky kills Steve and apologizes, but Sam doesn't give him an ounce of grief for his death and Hope blows Sharon up from the inside. It was atrocious, but it's a zombie chapter my naive mind imagined there would be crueler and darker things. There was something just as dark if not darker which was Vision feeding off innocents to Wanda.
Let's continue watching the chapter and let's count how some characters died.
Well, Hope dies sacrificing herself I think it was a dignified death, it follows the death of Okoye who sacrifices herself for her king, I thought it was a normal thing because doremilages are supposed to fight for their kingdom and their king with their life. I hated that he said it was his fault for separating them, because no character objected when he gave the order, only Peter and in a joking tone. Follow up with the death of Kurt, Vision and Bucky. Simply Bucky's death this time for that action towards Sam, it didn't hurt.
The chapter ends with them with a possible cure and heading to wakanda where zombie thanos was waiting for them.
The bitterness that the chapter left me with was immense. The cruelest death and followed by joke was Sharon's, to the point that they minimized it and placed it to finish diverting Sharon's attention by exploiting everywhere the infected Hope scene. Sam's was the most blatant because it's not subliminal, it's direct with the words of "Bucky" saying he didn't care. I put Bucky in quotes because we all know it was the screenwriter, the Bucky we know in the MCU and comics wouldn't say that.
I thought I was paranoid suspecting Sharon's death was the cruelest and least taken seriously apropos...until I hear about the interview and realize how unprofessional the screenwriter is. What hypocrisy to say he loves Sharon on twitter after what he stated in the interview. I expected Matthew Chauncey to keep his word, not like a coward that when he gets caught he backs down seeing that he screwed up and we don't support him.
What happened in the series and in that interview is an example that the bad treatment of Sharon exists. It is not something invented by the fans, it is something on the part of the directors, writers and actors. I still don't forget Hayley Atwell's comment who said that peggy seeing that kiss in Civil War that Steve gave Sharon Peggy would revive, she would shoot Steve and Sharon would get beaten up.
I think Hayley, the writers and directors forgot that Peggy was happy with Daniel Sousa as far as we knew, even though in Agents of SHIELD they put Daniel with Quake.... It doesn't make sense, but as always they didn't want to let the series die and they tried hard to keep up with the ucm no matter that it would damage the plot of the series, which was what they should focus on (I don't know if the series is canon anymore because they even uploaded it to Disney plus).
the scriptwriters had never seen the series of agent Carter nor any of Peggy's comics (she doesn't have comics, but she has appearances) because she loves her niece, the little that comes out makes it clear. I'm not going to ask you to read all the comics either, just the most recent one where Agatha tells Steve a little more about the daughters of liberty and that possibly for Peggy Steve was just her first mission, maybe he's a good friend, for her and no more from there. Fun fact, at the end I didn't see Peggy angry trying to shoot them while they were sitting in the garden with Sharon and Steve for being together.  Even when Steve found out she was alive he had no indication of leaving Sharon or getting romantically excited, rather he was walking around angry at Peggy , Sam and Bucky for not telling him about the risk to Sharon's life (Especially Peggy because it was more personal with her more than Sharon for killing the villain's husband. basically Sharon was kind of a target to somehow hurt Peggy). I imagine if they read it that comic or any other they would be frothing at the mouth.
I don't want to be pessimistic, but I saw "What if ?" and I doubt they will place Sharon as a Skrull, Mystique, mind control or give her a redemption. It's going to happen what happens with UCM villains, they'll kill her off. In fact, something tells me that they will try to make her crueler than the Red Skull to justify a horrible death. In case she's mystique or a Skull they'll probably say she's dead and won't even take the time to show it on screen.
Not only "What if?" made me lose hope "The Falcon and winter Soldier" too, remember I had posted that it looked like Sharon would be the Power Broker, but I doubted they would because she was another character in the comics. Well, hearing that statement in the interview anything is possible. By the way, I thank him for screwing Steve, since in the five years of the devastation he never helped Sam's family. I exclude Natasha from this as she was taking care of the avengers; Thor was depressed and didn't even know Sam; Tony had to take care of his family; Rhodey didn't know Sam well enough to know he had a family and Clint was in mourning.
Sorry for the language and clarify that I'm not throwing hate at Hayley, nor the directors and writers just showing that they didn't behave well neither with Sharon, nor with Emily
by the way, remember that meme I posted a while back about no character should be hated because of their shipp, I still hold that thought now more than ever. I think it fits perfectly with the screenwriter's behavior.
to those who made it this far thank you for reading my ramblings

Dream
“I remember that day clearly, my last birthday with them. Father knows I hate large gatherings, yet he threw me a big party anyways. Everyone showed up. The Leaguers, the original Leaguers, the Titans, my friends and family.
I didn’t appreciate it back then. Now I can only look back and wish I could experience it once more. Wish I could see them once more, happy, together, not having to worry about an ongoing war.
I remember racing my cousins. I wish I hadn’t cheated in that race. Uncle Jon said Mother had used the same trick when they were kids. I practiced magic with Tiago and the Constantines. I remember Aunt Kori pulling me into an unbreakable hug. She had told me I’m growing to be just like my mother.
I used to look like her. Both with purple eyes and purple hair. My skin had more color. Now I look nothing like her. I no longer have her purple eyes, but green like Father’s, my hair has become a brighter shade of purple.
I miss them. Father gave me a silver dagger that day. He never lets me play with sharp objects, we only used wooden sticks when training. Mother gifted me with a spell book, it contained a vast collection of spells ranging from beginners to highly advanced. I lost both of them. The only things I have left of my parents, lost, gone forever. I long for them to return. My parents and their gifts.
I wish for all of them to return. Not just my parents but everyone. I wished this never happened, I wish the war never started. I wish I had been more grateful for all that they have done for me.”
“Do you remember the day they left you at that place? That place that was supposed to be remote, guarded, and free of any upcoming parademon attack?” he asked the young girl.
“How could I not? That was the day I lost them. That was the day they left.
Grandmother Talia greeted us at the harbor of Infinity Island. I didn’t know, back then, that it was the last time I'd see them. They told me I’ll be staying with Grandmother for a while, I didn’t think of asking how long. Then they hugged me. I missed that. I missed the way they’d cover me in their warm embrace. The way Father wraps his arm around both me and mother. I caught a shimmer of a tear from the corner of Mother's eyes. I felt their sadness. It was when I saw that tear slip, that I knew something was wrong. When I felt Father fighting to keep his posture, his stoic manner, that was when I knew I would be there for longer than ‘a while’. I wish I could’ve told them how much I loved them, I wished I could’ve given them one last hug,” she closed her eyes. “But I didn’t. I didn’t because I was a dumb eight year old who didn’t know what to do.”
“Do you remember the day you died? The day those hybrids took you down? The day you visited me in my realm and left to rejoin the living? The day you left something very valuable behind?” he asked.
“Why are you asking me these questions?” she asked miserably.
He smiled. “Because Granddaughter, it is good to learn from the past, to take the pain and turn it into strength. Now, tell me of that day.”
“I-I remember running to the courtyard. There were screams coming from outside. An assassin crashed through the window, his legs were gone. I was...horrified, yet I kept going. I was stupid, thinking I could help. When I reached the courtyard, I saw corpses everywhere. Ripped up and severed. Grandmother and her elite archers were shooting down the creatures. My uncle calls them Paradooms. Parademons mixed with Kryptonian DNA. Grandmother’s supply of kryptonite-infused weapons was running low. I thought I was strong enough. I summoned beams of energy. I kept using magic until I had no energy left. I kept going. I should’ve stopped. I continued to fight. Picking up a stray sword with a kryptonite blade. It cut through plenty of monsters. Then Grandmother called my name. It was as if time slowed down. Her face contorted to horror, an emotion I have never seen her express. I felt a wave of emotions coming from her. Yet, nothing from myself. The pain was so bad, it felt like nothing. My vision had begun to blur when I noticed the sharp point of a claw emerging from my chest. I remember the paradoom falling as I laid on the ground. Grandmother rushed to my side. She told me not to worry. Then I came here. To this place you call home.”
“I never see this hellish realm as home. I am a conqueror of worlds, I focus on establishing and controlling new frontiers.”
“TT. We can agree that we have very different interests, Grandfather.”
“Indeed.”
“Now, I must ask. Why are you here? Why am I here? Why have you called upon me?”
“I am here to remind you. It takes a lot of energy to escape that prison in your mother’s head to visit you in your dream. This location is where your subconscious wants you to be, because deep down you know where to go. You know how to end this. You blame the Lazarus Pit for your loss of powers, but have you really lost your powers?” He gave her an amused smile, knowing the young girl was conflicted.
“Yes. No! I don’t know! I can still feel emotions, I can feel energy within me, but I can’t access it. I can’t perform a single spell, not even the simplest,” she confessed.
“The Pit is supposed to revive and strengthen the one of dips in it, that is if they are able to control the evil temptations of the Pit. You, Granddaughter, were already powerful. You still are. The Pit boosted your abilities, but you haven’t brought them back with you.”
“You’re saying...that I left my powers in Hell?” Rashida asked skeptically.
“What else could I be saying, dear?”
“What’s it in for you? Why are you helping me?”
“Because I would like to conquer Earth. I shall not let that weak, ‘New God’ destroy this planet before I do. Besides, I need a body to inhabit once I break free. Your mother won’t last, she is already weak.”
This got Rashida’s attention. “Then how do I get my powers back? How can I get to Hell without dying?”
“Hm. I’m sure that spellbook of yours would be useful. Once the proper ritual is performed, you should be able to enter and exit that realm.”
“But, I’ve lost it. The book was burned during the first paradoom attack.”
“You are the granddaughter of Trigon. The granddaughter of the first Batman, Bruce Wayne. The great granddaughter of Ra’s Al Ghul. The granddaughter of Talia Al Ghul. The daughter of Raven, the Queen of Hell. The daughter of Damian Al Ghul Wayne, the current Batman. You have a powerful heritage. I expect you to live up to your blood.” He gave her an expectant look. “And let’s not forget that family that took in your mother when you first came to Earth, the Kryptionians,” he added.
“Bart explained this to me the other day, something about a multiverse. The book is lost in this world. It no longer exists in this universe. However, there are many alternate universes, different worlds out there. If I’m able to locate the right one, I should be able to get that book”
Trigon smiled. “Correct, my dear. Now, time is running short. I suggest you make haste.”
Rashida looked up from her internal thoughts. “Wait, what do you mean by that?”
But it was too late. Her surroundings have begun to shift. Trigon had swirled into a translucent black shadow and disappeared through the cracks of the room. She no longer sat in the obsidian chair in the Underworld’s throne room. Instead Rashida sat up with a jolt in her uncle’s base. Her head was beaded with sweat. She left the little room, which she had claimed to be her sleeping quarter. Jason was still asleep in front of his computer. Judging by the position of the sun in the cloudy red sky, it was late in the morning.
Artemis looked up from her daily ritual of sword sharpening. “Good morning, kid.”
“Why did you let me sleep in?” asked Rashida.
“Last night was rough. I thought you needed the rest,” she glanced at Jason and Roy, who was still asleep on the worn down couch. Artemis held up a tin can. “Pineapples?”
Rashida accepted the fruit. “How did you get your hands on pineapples?”
Artemis shrugged. “Oh, you know. Quinn and her buddies were in the area.”
Rashida took a bite of the diced pineapples. “I have to say, I envy them. They get to do the cool stuff like infiltrating LexCorp. While, we’re stuck fighting off the parademons and thugs.”
“This’ll be over soon. And then, you can do the cool “infiltrating” stuff as well,” assured the Amazon.
