I just watched the second episode and... ik i've been saying "give us lady loki" ever since infinity war, but. i really hope they give us a good reason for why she's a villain :< like, idk, from what i remember of agent of asgard, lady loki was the goddess of stories, and i can hardly see a character that self-ids as such as more of a villain than a character that self-ids as the god of mischief and lies. they just hate to see strong women characters winning ig /hj
also, marvel were too big a cowards to give us goth queen loki and my soul is poorer for it.
Prediction of things that might happen I the Loki serie.
Ok well TVA is bad, it's something that had been build up from the start, Mobius doubting the "sacred timeline" while watching all the disaster that happened just on heart, Loki's obvious complaints about "WHO THE HECK ARE YOU TO DECIDE MY STORY" and so on.
So even if yes, the fact that lady loki is a different character form the OG one and that fills me with rage, I don't think she would actually be a 100% villain.
I think she wants to, you know, create different timeliness and let people make their choices, probably creating a reality where "insert chatastrophy that happened to her family" didn't happened.
And maybe she'll try to destroy the TVA, she's gone a fail stopped by Loki & squad (or maybe only Loki) but then he realised what she was trying to do, and either will convince Mobius to follow him in his quest to talk to the gatekeepers (or whoever control the timeline) just to kick their asses or some shit like this, or Loki and Lady Loki will team up for the same purpose.
Or maybe Lady Loki is genderfluid and also the evil incarnated and the tva is amazing and they're just gonna kill the bad LGBT+ character
fed up of seeing fans who don’t know who sylvie is getting called idiots for calling her loki when (warning this post will be confusing, if i mean sophia’s character i say ‘sylvie laufeydottir’, if i mean the comic book character i say ‘sylvie lushton’:
lots of people who watch the mcu films and shows don’t read the comics, or aren’t up to date on all of the comics. there is nothing wrong with that. i personally hadn’t heard of sylvie before a couple of days ago because while i enjoy marvel, keeping up to date with all the comics is a lot of time and commitment and money that i don’t have.
purely just going off information given in the show, we’re meant to think she is loki. even loki thinks she is loki. the tva have been calling her loki this entire time.
she could be both sylvie and a loki. there’s nothing that says this mcu sylvie hasn’t been changed slightly be to an alternate universe version of loki. someone in my replies on another post said in the background of a scene you can see a file that says ‘sylvie laufeydottir’, which would stand with the idea that her name is sylvie but she is also a version of loki, which means it’s not stupid for people to call her loki
also even if this somehow is all a lie and she’s tricked all of the tva, the time keepers, loki, and gotten false records made and she is in fact the enchantress sylvie lushton, still doesn’t require people to be spamming people, calling them idiots for just going along with what the show says. not everyone cares about theories and just want to enjoy a fun show and don’t care about easter eggs or having to know every little detail.
(the file thing does bother me though because if they knew her name and had records of her, why did all the tva refer to her as ‘he’ before her reveal? did they know sylvie existed but not that she was the variant they were after? how wouldn’t they know that if they’re already keeping tabs on her? and if so why were they misgendering her? just to trick the audience? (which isn’t a good reason for canon) i doubt it’s because they’re going to pull a sylvie is genderfluid and is often male and just female this time and that’s why mobius called her ‘he’. though you know what, that’s what headcannon i’m going with. but i doubt disney is going to give us that kind of representation)
purposely not calling her ‘lady loki’ here and in case this post gets more notes than my other one did you can read why here if you’re interested. it’s because it’s insensitive and offensive to genderfluid people. so again let’s please not call her lady loki and instead please just call her ‘loki’ or ‘sophia’s loki’ or ‘blonde loki’ but if it’s shown that she is a loki and her name is sylvie then let’s please call her sylvie as that’s the name she wants to go by.
i really want this to be the last post i make about this topic i’m really stressed
I understand people saying it doesn’t make sense for Loki to get tossed around so easily in the show, but consider: I really like seeing Loki get tossed around
(also I do think it can make sense, TVA’s employees were apparently all created by the Time-Keepers for the specific purpose of doing those jobs so there’s no reason to assume they’re human just because they look human, especially considering how many nonhuman-but-completely-human-looking species we’ve already seen in the MCU; I’m sure the TVA deals with lots of different species at hugely varying strength levels, so I don’t actually find it far-fetched that Hunters in particular are a match for Loki physically...and yes, the people tossing him around in episode 2 were ordinary humans but they were also being possessed by somebody who is not an ordinary human, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable that they also had access to superhuman strength while they were being possessed)
"Loki, wait!" is such an interesting line. It's not "Loki, stop", or "Loki, don't", which are both things a policeman-adjacent should say to an absconding prisoner. Especially one whose job is on the line. The implication with either of those words is "you can't do it. Don't you dare do it".
"Loki, wait!" to me, suggests "I know what you're thinking, and I know why you want to do it. But wait and THINK for a second why it might be a bad idea". OR, it suggests "Loki, it's a good idea and we're definitely going to do it but wait for all of us to be there, don't just go on your own, for multiple reasons including but not limited to it might be dangerous".
Or maybe it's just that Mobius knows telling Loki not to do something is the fastest way to get him to do the thing.
Okay so is this Amora pretending to be Lady Loki or a Loki who’s possessed Amora? Just like how Lady Loki was just Loki possessing Sif’s body.
Edit: So apparently she’s an Amora copycat granted powers by Loki who is too modern a character for me to have paid attention to. I guess there goes my hope that we were actually finally getting Amora in the MCU...
surely these interviews are got to be misleading because i dont buy the whole supposed friendship or believe mobius is these great guy. or even talking about loki is the villian etc some what they say makes no sense or talking as if dont know the characters at all or come across different onscreen. or the tva are good guys like loki himself they come across as to controlling/ propaganda they kill imprison people who may innocently commit a crime/mess with the sacred time line and even excuse
I really don't know because I don't watch the interviews since I wouldn't trust marvel to hold my coffee while I tie my shoelaces
So like I don't understand how the TVA people keep saying that Loki is all evil all the time when they literally have the Loki with them that would have gone on to sacrifice himself to protect Thor and the Asgardians that were left.
