"What movie should we watch this time?"
You plop down on your couch next to Steve, placing the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table in front of it.
You swiftly pick up the remote, turning on your TV and immediately sifting through the options.
Steve watches as your brows furrow in concentration, draping his arm over the back of the couch. You lean into him unconsciously, pulling your feet up on the seat as your side relaxes into his.
"We've been working our way through Star Wars," he hums, his hand finding your shoulder to stroke it gently, "There are more than the three we watched, right?"
You snort, nodding at his words, "Yeah, obviously. I can't believe you've never watched those."
Steve chuckles quietly, his shoulders lifting in a shrug, "I was saving them, I guess."
You glance over at him, quirking a brow, "Waiting for the right girl, huh?"
Steve chuckles again, nodding, "Yeah, exactly. The right girl."
Your cheeks heat up a little at his words, your eyes holding his intensely. The hand on your shoulder slowly moves upwards, his fingers sliding into your hair.
"C'mere," he whispers softly as he pulls you closer, "You haven't kissed me yet, today."
You giggle quietly before leaning in, gently brushing your lips over his. He lets out a content sigh, the fingers in your hair tightening their hold when his lips chase yours.
His soft lips move over your own languidly, the hand at the back of your head controlling your motions when he tilts his head, deepening the kiss.
You drop the remote before your fingers grip his t-shirt, leaning your body into his to kiss him more determinedly.
You swipe your tongue over his bottom lip, and he lets out a low groan before his plump lips part, his tongue tangling with your own.
His free hand slides up your thigh, and it makes you squirm a little, moaning softly into his mouth.
His fingers grip your flesh firmly, massaging your skin, your mind turning foggy.
But then you pull back right as his hand starts trailing higher.
"Stevie," you breathe out, your eyes fluttering open to look at him, "I need.."
You hesitate, and he tilts his head in a question, watching you intently. You want to lose yourself in the blue of his eyes, his pupils dilated as his gaze stays locked on your face.
"Can we.. Would it be okay if we.. Took it slow?" You whisper, reaching up to cup his cheek, "It's just, I.. I'm not.. That experienced, and I want it to mean something."
Steve's eyes search your face for a moment before he smiles, nodding gently, "Of course, sweetheart. We can wait as long as you need. I'm in no rush."
"Are you sure?" You whisper nervously. You wouldn't have imagined someone who looks like Steve to be used to taking it slow.
Steve nods again, tilting his head to kiss your palm, "I'm sure, baby. We'll take it slow. Don't worry."
You lean in to kiss him again, and Steve lets out a sound of surprise before you quickly pull back to curl up against him on the couch. You pick up the remote while his hand finds your hair again, stroking it gently as you press play.

You hang your coat on the rack at the entrance of Janine's apartment when you enter, toeing your shoes off before you walk inside.
"It's pouring outside," you complain, immediately heading to the open spaced kitchen for a glass of water. You spot her sitting on the couch next to Melanie, both of them with their backs to you as they watch something on TV. "I'm practically soaked."
Janine only hums in response, and so does Melanie, which makes you frown a little as you take a sip of your water. You glance at the screen, noticing it's the news, before putting down your glass and taking a few steps closer to them, "You guys. Did you hear me?"
Melanie shushes you, keeping her eyes locked on the screen, "Shh, we're trying to watch this, something is happening."
Your frown deepens as you walk over to the couch, taking a seat next to Melanie. You lower your voice, watching the screen, "What's going on?"
You can hardly tell what's happening, it's some form of fight, the news feed is chaotic and unable to focus properly.
Then your eyes suddenly widen in surprise, "Holy shit, are those robots?"
"Yeah," Janine mumbles, "Killer fucking robots."
"Jesus," you breathe out, leaning forward a little to get a better look, "Where is that?"
"Sokovia," Melanie responds quietly, "it's a country in Europe."
"Oh.." you watch in fascination, your interest piquing when you see a robot in red and gold. "Why does that robot look different from the others? And why is it fighting them?"
Melanie snorts, "That's not a robot, that's Iron Man."
You turn to look at her, "Is he that tech guy turned superhero?"
"Yeah," Janine nods, keeping her eyes on the screen, "Tony Stark."
You hum and nod, glancing back at the TV.
"Why are the Avengers there? I thought they only fought crime in the US."
"They fight crime wherever there is crime," Melanie states, "They're not like the military, they're more like independent contractors."
You nod again, leaning back on the couch before you cross one leg over the other. Then you gesture at the screen when you spot someone shooting arrows, snorting in amusement, "He's shooting arrows at robots? That's ridiculous. Is this real?"
"Yes, it's real," Janine says before looking at you pointedly, "And that's Hawkeye, he's incredible, you know. He's fighting alongside the others with no super powers and no special enhancements."
Your brows raise in surprise, "Oh, okay. Yeah, that is actually pretty cool."
"They're all really cool," Melanie corrects, "Every single one of them is like a mini god."
"Oh, I've heard of the god guy," You interject quickly, "He's the one wlth the hammer. I saw it on instagram."
"Yeah, Thor," Janine says absentmindedly, "He's a dreamboat."
You watch the screen for a while longer until you spot a shield flying through the air.
"That's Captain America, right? The one with the shield?"
You watch as the shield is caught by a big guy wearing a navy suit and a cowl, not noticing how your friends share a look between the two of them.
"It is," Janine says, eyeing you hesitantly, "I didn't think you knew about him."
"I don't know much," you shrug, watching the screen, "But I remember that it was a big deal when they found him in that freezer, or whatever."
"The ice," Melanie snorts, "They found him in ice."
"Same thing," You shrug, "He's a bit too patriotic for my taste."
"Is that so?" Janine inquires, glancing at you, "You don't like him?"
"I don't really have an opinion, but he wouldn't be my favorite," You state, slowly getting bored as you watch the action unfolding.
"Should I get us some snacks?" You ask, and before Janine can even respond, you get up from the couch to walk to the kitchen, "I'm gonna get us some snacks."
You tune out your surroundings while you get chips and make some popcorn, oblivious to the quiet conversation happening on the couch.
"She still doesn't know?" Melanie whispers to Janine, "How has he not told her yet?"
"We're not even sure if it really is him," Janine responds, "It could just be a coincidence. The name thing."
"Yeah, okay, you're right," Melanie nods slowly, mulling it over before she says, "But she said he was really hot, though."
"Lots of guys are hot," Janine scoffs, "Doesn't mean anything. If it really was him, we would have known about it by now."
"Yeah, but what-"
"All good!" You cheer as you walk back towards the couch. You place the snacks on the coffee table before you plop down in your former spot.
You reach over to take a handful of popcorn, chewing them while you ask, "Are we gonna watch this all day?"
Melanie looks over at you before she grabs the bowl of popcorn to hold it in her lap, "Do you not want to watch it? I mean, it's pretty interesting, you have to admit that."
"Sure," you shrug, chewing another handful, "But you guys know I'm not into those Avenger guys. Like that one, Captain America, what a pretentious fucking douchebag name. And his costume is even worse."
You gesture to the screen, watching as the camera follows the giant shield flying through the air.
"You just know he'll be the type of guy to be all full of himself, he's probably not even-"
Your sentence is cut short when the camera follows the shield as it's caught. You practically choke when the camera zooms in and you recognize Steve's face, now no longer obscured by the cowl he was wearing earlier.
Melanie and Janine both turn to look at you at your abrupt silence, their brows furrowing in anticipation.
"Holy shit," you breathe out, panicking when the camera pans away to focus on a red-haired woman instead, "Wait, stop! Go back, rewind! Rewind!"
You jump up from the couch, yelling loudly and making Janine flail for the remote. She does as instructed, and watches in part amusement and part horror as you round the coffee table to get closer to the screen.
"Right there! Stop!" You exclaim when the camera focuses on Steve's face. Your mouth drops open, your heart practically stopping in your chest.
"Oh my god," you whisper, dumbly reaching out to touch the screen, "Oh my god. It's Steve."
Melanie and Janine glance at each other before Melanie hesitantly asks, "Are you sure?"
"Yes I'm fucking sure!" You yell in response, keeping your eyes locked on the TV, "You think I don't recognize my own fucking boyfriend?!"
"Boyfriend?" Janine quips, "Since when is he your boyfriend?"
Her words make you whip around to face the two of them, your lips clamping shut. You let out a small huff before you say, "He isn't, technically, but he could be, eventually.. You know?"
Then you glance back at the TV as you hurriedly say, "And anyway, that's not the point! The point is that Steve is on TV and he's wearing that stupid costume and throwing a shield around!"
You immediately turn to look at them again, "Steve is Captain America! Is he?! Is Steve Captain America?!"
Janine smiles softly before Melanie hesitantly says, "He uh.. He might be, yes."
"WHAT?!"
"We had our suspicions," she continues, exchanging a glance with Janine, "But we weren't sure. We figured you'd know, if he really was.. You know?"
You huff in annoyance, immediately digging your phone out of your pocket and finding his number.
"What are you doing?" Melanie asks as she watches you.
"Calling him," you grumble, "Gotta find out if it's really true or not."
"Babe, he's literally in a giant fight, the newscast is live. He won't answer."
"Then I'll leave a fucking message," you seethe, pressing his name before you bring the phone to your ear.
The call immediately goes to voicemail.
"You've reached Steve Rogers. Please leave a message after the tone."
As soon as you hear the beep, it's like your mind goes blank, making you spew out your thoughts angrily.
"Steven! Please explain to me why I'm currently watching you throw a GIANT FRISBEE AFTER KILLER ROBOTS?! YOU BETTER HOPE YOU DIE IN THAT FIGHT BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, BEST BELIEVE I WILL FINISH THE JOB FOR THEM!"
You hang up with another loud huff, Janine and Melanie watching you in horror.
"I can't believe you just said that!" Janine exclaims, "What the fuck?!"

Steve slumps down in his seat on the quinjet, still reeling from the fight he just went through.
He cracks his neck and rolls his shoulders, the suit clammy and grimey after wearing it for so long. He knows he's covered in sweat and dirt, he doesn't need a mirror to tell him that, and he has no doubt that even a super soldier smells horrific after such an ordeal.
Natasha takes a seat next to him, staying unusually quiet as she sighs. He glances over at her, offering her a small smile, "You okay?"
"Yeah," she says with a nod, and within a moment it's passed, it's like her mask is back up, shielding her emotions from the world. She smiles at him, nudging his shoulder, "Okay, so, about that date I promised to set you up on, there's this girl-"
"No need," Steve cuts her off, putting his hand up to stop her, "I'm good."
"Steve, come on," Natasha smiles, "You can't be alone forever. You deserve someone in your life."
Steve nods, the corners of his lips raising in a smirk, looking down at his hands folded in his lap.
Natasha catches on immediately.
She cocks a brow, tilting her head while scanning his face, "Oh, I see. You already do, don't you?"
Steve offers a bashful shrug, grinning when he looks up at her again, "Maybe."
"Oh damn," Natasha grins, "And you did it all on your own? Well done, bud! Who is she?"
He snorts at her wording, "I'm not a kid, Nat. Stop patronizing me. And she's my neighbor, actually."
Natasha nods, smiling widely at him, "That's great, Rogers. I'm happy to hear that. Did you call her to let you know you're safe and sound yet?"
Steve's brows furrow in response, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck awkwardly, "Well, uh, you see.."
Natasha frowns, her eyes narrowing.
"She doesn't really know I'm Cap.. Yet."
Natasha's frown only deepens, "What do you mean, she doesn't know? How can she not know? We're on the news practically every day."
Steve shrugs, "Beats me. At first I thought she just didn't recognize me when I introduced myself. But she's never mentioned it, ever. We even talked about the army, and she asked me about it, told me about her brother being a soldier. Still nothing, no recognition, no realization, nothing. I think she legitimately doesn't know it's me."
Natasha's brows raise in surprise, "She must not watch the news a lot."
Steve snorts and chuckles, "No, probably not. But it's been nice, actually. I've been able to pretend I'm just a normal guy, taking her on normal dates. I don't have to be Cap all the time. With her, I can just be Steve. I haven't gotten to be just Steve since before the serum."
Natasha smiles softly, "That's great, Rogers. That's really great. That's how it's supposed to be."
Steve smiles warmly, humming as he nods.
"So where does she think you are?"
"At work," he replies with another shrug, "Told her I work for the military, which isn't a complete lie."
"But we've been gone for a week," Natasha counters, "Did you let her know you're on your way back home?"
Steve's lips purse momentarily before he starts fumbling around for his phone, "No, you're right, I should probably let her know.."
Natasha chuckles, watching how he pats his suit down before he finally finds the old flip-phone.
"Good idea. And you should consider investing in a new phone."
"This works fine," Steve frowns, flipping it open and turning it on, "Why would I get a new one if this one works? I have my work phone, but it has so many unnecessary features, most of the time I prefer using this one."
Natasha chuckles again, making Steve look at her in confusion, but then his attention is pulled back to his phone when it pings.
"Oh, I have a voice message," he mumbles absentmindedly, brows furrowing as he presses the buttons.
"Maybe it's from her," Natasha smiles, watching his large fingers hitting the small buttons clumsily. "You know, buttons wouldn't be an issue if you upgraded to a smart-phone," she sasses, making Steve shake his head.
He presses play on the message, his brows raising when he hears your voice blaring loudly through the speaker.
"Oh shit," Steve breathes out, his eyes widening in terror, "Oh fuck."
"I like her," Natasha chuckles when the message ends, "She seems feisty. You need someone feisty."
"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Steve mumbles, frowning as he opens up his texting app.
"Language," Natasha states, but she can tell his mind is elsewhere when he doesn't even react.
She looks down at the phone in his hand, horrified once she realizes what he's doing. She immediately snags the flip-phone out of his grasp, shutting it swiftly.
"Hey!-"
"Absolutely not, Rogers," she interrupts, looking at him pointedly, "You do not respond to something like that with a fucking text."
Steve's face is tense in worry, his eyes searching Natasha's for answers, "Then what do I do? I have to fix it, apologize so she doesn't-"
"You do that face to face," Natasha states, interrupting him again. "And you bring her flowers, maybe chocolate, too. Judging by how angry she sounded, I'd say chocolate would be smart."
"Chocolate?" He asks in confusion, tilting his head, "Why?"
"Because you're apologizing for lying to her, and the best way to do that is by giving her candy. And flowers."
"But I didn't lie, I was just-"
"You weren't being truthful," Natasha corrects, "And not being truthful equals lying. I think you already know you should have told that girl the truth a long time ago. How many dates have you been on?"
"Just a few," Steve mumbles, glancing at his phone currently still in Natasha's hand, "We went for a ride on my bike, and then I went over to her place for tea, and then-"
"Tea?" Natasha asks, cocking a brow, "Is that code for something?"
Steve looks up at her in confusion, "Like what?"
Natasha watches his confused expression, trying to decipher whether he's kidding or not, before she bluntly asks, "Have you had sex yet?"
As soon as the words leave her lips, she spots the pink tinging Steve's cheeks. He breaks eye contact, slowly shaking his head, "No, we haven't had sex yet. We've kissed, the first time when I went to her place for tea. And then a few other times, too. We had some movie dates.. It was nice."
"Nice? Just nice? A kiss should preferably be better than nice."
"Oh no, the kiss was amazing," Steve quickly interjects as he looks up at her, "It blew my freaking mind, that's why I kept wanting to do it."
Natasha chuckles at his sweet demeanor, "Okay, good. I got worried for a second. So you've kissed, but you're taking it slow otherwise, huh?"
"Yeah, I uh.." Steve hesitates, running a hand through his hair nervously before his voice lowers, "I kinda haven't.. Done that.. Since I came out of the ice.."
"Oh," Natasha breathes out, her brows raising, "I see."
"Yeah, but we've been taking it slow," he shrugs, "It's not like I've been holding off, but we're both just enjoying the others company."
"That's cute," Natasha smiles, "I'm glad you finally found someone you actually like."
Steve chuckles, nodding as he says, "I do, I really like her. She's cute, and funny. Smart, too. Very sweet. Kind. Beautiful."
Natasha hums at his words, Steve's eyes dropping to his phone before he whispers, "Now I just need to figure out how to fix the mistake I made.."

You pull on a pair of sleep shorts when your doorbell rings at a quarter to ten at night.
You're practically scowling as you walk towards your front door, still in a bad mood from earlier.
You're in your night shirt, prepared for bed already, and you're unfazed at your demeanor as you pull open your front door, brows pulled into a deep frown.
But it somehow turns deeper when you realize who's standing on the other side of the threshold.
You huff, eyes narrowing as you glare up at the blonde man towering over you, "What are you doing here?"
Steve's brows furrow in confusion, his head tilting a little, "I got your message. I came here as soon as I could, I wanted to explain.." He trails off, before remembering what he brought, raising both hands to show you the box of chocolates in one and a bouquet of roses in the other.
Your icy facade thaws just a little bit when you take it all in, but then it hardens again when your eyes trail over his form.
He's wearing a blue leather suit, a uniform, complete with red and white stripes, and a silver star on his chest. His face is dirty, his hair matted, and you realize he wasn't exaggerating when he said he came straight here.
"Can I come in?"
Steve's voice pulls you from your thoughts, your eyes meeting his. The familiar baby blue of them makes your heart skip a beat, breaking down your resistance.
You step aside, gesturing for him to enter your apartment, and he takes the hint immediately. You close the door behind him once he's walked inside, turning around to face you as he holds out his full hands again.
"Here, these are for you," he murmurs quietly, studying your expression, "A friend told me it would help you forgive me.."
You reluctantly take the flowers and chocolates, bringing them into the kitchen with you. You place them on the kitchen island before walking around it in search for a vase.
Steve unhooks the shield from his back and places it to rest against the wall before he follows you into the kitchen, his heart aching slightly at your uncharacteristic silence.
He watches as you rise up on your tiptoes to reach into the cabinet for a vase, and it takes everything in him to not step in and grab it for you.
You fill the vase with water before you place it on the counter top, carefully arranging the roses when you place them in it. Once you're done, you take a deep breath and turn to the blonde super soldier standing awkwardly in your kitchen.
"So," you say, your arms crossing over your chest, "You're Captain America."
Steve nods hesitantly, his blue eyes watching you carefully, "Yes, I am."
"And why didn't you tell me?" You ask sternly, your eyes narrowed as you hold his gaze.
Steve lets out a deep sigh, his form deflating a little when his eyes break away from yours. "I liked that I didn't have to be Cap around you. I liked just being Steve."
Your brows furrow in confusion, "What? What does that even mean?"
"I've been Cap in every aspect of my life since they gave me the serum," Steve states, his baby blues meeting yours again, "Every part of my life has been about Cap. Every choice I've made, every person I've known, every single meal I've eaten has been for Cap, about Cap. I didn't realize I would be giving up being Steve when I became this, but for a long time it's felt like it."
Your eyes search his, your features softening slowly.
"And then you come along and for the first time I got to be just Steve. I got to just be me, I got to take you on normal dates, got to drink tea and watch movies and not have to think about anything other than how soft your lips felt. I didn't want to give that up. I was being selfish."
Your heart hurts at his words, your fingers gripping the hem of your shirt to fiddle with it.
"I'm sorry for not telling you," Steve says earnestly, "I just wanted to pretend to be normal for as long as I could. I was worried everything would change once you found out."
"Steve, I-" you hesitate, practically drowning in the blue of his eyes. He looks vulnerable, opening up to you in such a personal way, it makes you want to wrap your arms around him and hold him close.
"I'm sorry," you say honestly, "I'm sorry you felt that way. And I'm sorry for being such an asshole about it."
Your gaze drops to the floor, a pang of guilt in your chest. You shouldn't have yelled at him, if you'd known how he really felt, you wouldn't have.
Steve's head tilts, a soft smile working its way onto his face, "Yeah, you're right. You're just an asshole."
"Yeah," You whisper, nodding as tears gather in your waterline. You sniffle to keep them at bay, but instead it triggers them, and Steve's heart breaks when he sees them trailing down your cheeks.
"Oh god, please don't," he says quietly, taking hesitant steps closer until he's right in front of you, "Sweetheart, please don't cry. I was trying to lighten the mood, I'm sorry."
You sniffle again, lifting your head to look up at him, "I'm sorry."
Steve's heart aches, smiling sadly, "Stop apologizing, please. You have nothing to be sorry for."
"But I yelled at you," you whisper, tears now flowing freely down your face, "I was.. m-mean to you."
Suddenly, his strong arms wrap around you, pulling you into his chest. You press your cheek against the firm muscle, the leather suit rubbing your skin comfortingly. Your arms wrap around his waist, your hands doing their best to curl in the material.
He brushes his large hand through your hair, shushing you gently, "it'll be alright, honey. It's okay. I'm not mad at you. You're not an asshole."
You sniffle again, mumbling against his chest, "Sometimes I just say things without thinking."
Steve chuckles, placing a kiss in your hair, "I like when you say things."
You giggle quietly, lifting your head to look up at him, "Even when it's not nice?"
Steve smiles, his hand cupping your cheek before he swipes away a tear with his thumb. His leather glove is warm against your skin, making you nuzzle into it gently, "I prefer when you're nice, but I'll take any part of you I can get, sweetheart."
You look up at him in adoration, your hands sliding down his back to his waist, "I'll take any part of you I can get too, Stevie. I'm sorry I got angry, in all honesty I was just scared and I reacted poorly. Seeing you up there was.. Scary. Terrifying, really. I'm worried it might take a while for me to get used to.."
Steve nods in understanding, "Of course. To be honest, I'd be more concerned if you weren't worried. At least this way I know you care about me."
You scoff and chuckle, shaking your head as you look up at him, "You really think I don't care about you?"
He quirks a teasing brow, which makes you laugh as you say, "Fine, maybe I could be better at showing it.."
Your eyes gaze over his face, taking in the dirt on his skin and his mussed up hair.
"Actually, I think I have a really good idea of how I can show you."
Tumblr media
"How's the water?"
You pick up the discarded leather suit from the floor, doing your best to not outrightly stare at the muscled adonis currently reclined in your bathtub. His legs are bent at the knees, showing off part of his thick thighs, his firm chest shiny from the water. His biceps are bulging at the relaxed bent state he has them in, one huge arm hanging off the side of the tub, his long slender fingers reaching the floor.
Steve's head is resting on the edge of the tub, his eyes closed as a content sigh leave his lips.
"It's amazing."
"Let me know if it gets too cold," you mumble bashfully, sneaking another glance at the greek god currently filling out your tub. Your eyes keep moving to his spread out thighs, and the area between them haphazardly concealed by the bubbles floating around the surface.
Steve only hums, the hand draped over the side of the tub absentmindedly reaching out for you. His fingers brush up your ankle to your calf, your heart doing an excited thump when he gently strokes your skin.
"Thank you for this, sweetheart," he murmurs, eyes lazily opening until his baby blues can find you, "You didn't have to."
You smile softly, your chest feeling warm and fuzzy as you take in the sleepy smile on his face, "It's not a problem, Stevie. Just relax. Use the oils, if you want. Lavender is good for winding down."
His smile widens a little, holding loving eye contact, which you break after a moment because your nerves get the better of you. You glance down at the suit bundled up in your arms, "You sure this thing can go in the washer?"
Steve chuckles, "Yeah, don't worry. No dryer, though. I tried doing that once, it ruined my old one."
You snort, a small giggle spilling past your lips, "I would imagine. You shouldn't tumble dry leather."
Steve just shrugs as you look at him again, it's like he's melting into the bath and it makes you let out another quiet giggle. "I'm gonna go start the washer. Be right back."
His fingers slide up your leg momentarily until he lets you go, and you take a deep breath once you've stepped out of the bathroom. You hurriedly move to your utility room, putting the suit in the washer and starting the load.
Once you walk back into the hallway, you almost stumble over the large shield propped up against the wall. You smile in amusement, bending down to gently touch the sleek metal.
Your brows raise in surprise at how smooth it feels, safe for the thin ridges cut into it to make out the circles and star. You glance down the hall towards the bathroom, the door open a smidge, your ears tuning in when you hear the water running.
Your eyes move back to the shield, careful fingers gripping it and raising it to your height. It's surprisingly light, something you wouldn't have figured, and you turn it around in your hands, your head tilting curiously when you see the leather straps attached to the back of it.
You react before you can think, directing your arm to go through the straps before your hand grips one to hold it up. You turn towards the mirror by your coat stand, your lips raising in a wide smile when you hold up the large shield in front of your body.
It's huge in size, practically swallowing you up, and it makes you let out a chuckle.
"Doesn't look this huge on him," you mumble, turning in front of the mirror as you hold up the shield. You try to move your arm around carefully, but the shield suddenly feels heavier when all its weight is put on just one arm.
"Damn," you murmur quietly, "He really is strong."
You try to grip it more firmly, imaging having to throw it around and catch it, and it makes your eyes widen a little.
He's really, really strong.
Your mind wanders at the thought; obviously, you always knew Steve was bigger and stronger than you, the way he towers over you is a testament to that. But it suddenly hits you that he's not just normally strong, no; he's super strong, and for some reason the thought makes your body tingle all over.
Your fingers swipe over the curved edge of the shield as you hold it up in front of you, your eyes transfixed on the image, mind swimming with possibilities. In fact, you're so occupied by your own thoughts that you don't hear the tub being drained.
"Sweetheart, do you have anything I could put on?"
You whip around to face Steve when he suddenly emerges from the bathroom, his brows immediately furrowing when he spots you holding his shield.
He's in nothing but a very flimsy towel, one that fits you fine but looks comically small on his large frame. It's tied around his hips, giving you a perfect view of his firm pecks and chiseled abs, barely covering his crotch before it ends midway down his thick thighs.
Steve quirks a brow at you, his gaze taking you in as you hold up his shield, your brows raised in surprise at being caught. He crosses his arms over his broad chest, large biceps bulging at the action, while he leisurely leans against the wall, keeping his baby blues locked on you.
"I'm sorry, am I interrupting something here?"
You let out a squeak, fumbling to get your arm out of the leather straps and almost dropping the shield on the floor, but it only makes Steve chuckle.
"Relax," he says with a smile, "It's fine. How does it feel?"
Your fingers tighten their hold a little to steady it, cheeks heating up as he looks at you. You mumble bashfully, "It's uhm.. It's pretty cool.."
"Yeah?" Steve grins, pushing off the wall and strolling closer. You try to keep your eyes on his face, and not on his god-like body that's still damp and shiny from his bath.
Not to mention the small towel that is most likely obstructing what would have been an even better view....
"Not too heavy?" Steve inquires, glancing down at the shield when he reaches you, "It looks a little big on you."
You let out a nervous giggle, nodding when his eyes flit back up to meet yours. "Yeah, it's a little big. I didn't think it'd be that heavy, but the longer I hold it with one arm like this, the heavier it becomes."
Steve chuckles, nodding as his fingers reach out to grip the edge, lifting it up to give you some reprieve, "Yeah, I know. You get used to it though."
He holds it up for you while you carefully maneuver your arm out, smiling up at him, "Can't believe you throw that thing around. Guess you're really strong, huh?"
Steve laughs, swiftly pushing his arm through the leather straps and holding the shield up in front of him. He holds it effortlessly, like it's the most natural thing in the world, and it stirs odd feelings inside you as you watch him.
"I guess," he says with a smile, watching your expression carefully, "I don't really think about it, anymore. In the beginning I had to adjust a lot; I wasn't used to being strong before the serum. Sometimes I still have to remind myself to be.. gentle."
Your breath hitches quietly at his wording, the look on his face as he says it. His eyes are boring into you, the blue slowly being swallowed out by his pupils, and nerves prickle your skin when you remember he's in nothing but a small towel right now.
You avert your gaze from his, clearing your throat quickly, "Right, uh, I guess that's.. Hard."
Steve nods immediately, pulling his arm out of the leather straps before he places the shield on the floor again, "Right, yeah, it can be.. yes.."
He stands back up, eyes slowly moving over your face, your heart beating rapidly in your chest when those baby blues meet yours again.
You can feel the nervous energy burning through you, like a rapid fire setting you alight. Your heart is pounding, you hear it in your damn ears, standing frozen in place right in front of the blonde super soldier who somehow managed to steal your heart in such a short amount of time.
Steve's lips slowly part as you both stand there, staring at each other, his chest rising and falling steadily as his eyes bounce between yours.
You can't stand this for even a second longer.
"Oh, fuck this," you murmur before you take a step, closing the space between you. You reach up to cup his face, guiding it down until his lips can meet yours.
Steve doesn't skip a beat, his strong hands find your hips, and you comply when they lift you off the ground. Your legs wrap around his waist, arms slung over his shoulders as you continue the passionate attack on his lips.
Steve groans lowly, his hands sliding down to your ass, holding you tight against him. You kiss him messily, your fingers curling in his hair, still damp from his bath.
"Bedroom," you moan against his lips, legs tightening around him when he bites down on your bottom lip, "Bedroom, please."
Steve grunts in agreement, stumbling down the hall in the direction of your bedroom while his soft lips continue possessing yours, a whimper pulled from you when his tongue slips into your mouth.
Once he makes his way to your bedroom, he drops you on the mattress, a whine of annoyance just about to leave your lips at the loss of contact. But it takes less than a second before he's back, his large frame looming over you as he leans down, his lips landing on yours again with fervor.
Your legs spread on instinct, allowing him to slot his large body between them, the fact that the towel has still managed to cover him after the commotion an afterthought in your mind.
Your hands are back in his hair, fingers sliding through the blonde strands as your legs lock around his narrow waist.
You pull him closer, moaning into his mouth when he complies and you feel his hardness pressing against your needy core.
"Stevie," you whimper against his lips, the soldier not ceasing his insistence to steal your breath away, "Need you. Need you so bad."
Steve groans, a guttural sound stemming from his chest before he suddenly pulls away, just enough to look at you. His wild eyes bounce between yours nervously, his brows furrowing slightly, "You sure? You said you wanted to take things slow, and that's-"
"No," you immediately whine, shaking your head, "No more slow, no. Please. I need to feel you, be close to you. I was so worried today, so angry, and sad, and worried, and hurting. I was so worried I'd never get to do this, never get to be close to you like this, and then after I was such an asshole, I was worried I'd lost you before you'd ever really been mine."
His features soften, his breathing heavy as he scans your face. His lips raise in a soft smile, words a small whisper, "I've been yours this entire time, sweetheart. You'd have to fight me off with an army for me to stay away. And even then, I probably wouldn't."
Your heart soars and emotion floods you, you can almost feel the tears pricking at the back of your eyes, but before you let them ruin the moment, you pull him back to you, your lips already missing the touch of his.
Steve kisses you carefully, his hands sliding up your sides and under the sleep shirt you're wearing. You sigh against his lips, lifting off the bed a little when his fingers grip the hem of your shirt to pull it off.
Your lips part from his when he lifts the shirt over your head, already reaching out for him to come back, but he doesn't oblige. Instead, he leans back until he's sitting on his haunches, his warm hands caressing your waist as he looks down at you.
"Fuck," he whispers, eyes trailing over your exposed chest, "I already knew you'd be beautiful, but.."
Your cheeks heat up, your smile turning shy as you watch him drink up every exposed inch of you.
His baby blues flit up to meet yours, hands slowly sliding up your stomach until his fingers brush the underside of your breasts.
You release a shaky breath, letting your hands trail up his forearms just as his hands glide over your breasts, two large palms giving them an experimental squeeze.
Steve lets out a quiet sound, one that's caught in his throat when his eyes flick back down to your breasts, watching as his nimble fingers squeeze your nipples between them.
You let out a small whimper, a sound that shoots through Steve like lightning, and he repeats the action, baby blues landing back on your face.
You squirm a little on the bed, hips bucking up involuntarily when he toys with your nipples, watching how your brows furrow and lips part.
Just as you're about to complain that you need more, his hands slide back down, heating your skin as they go, his fingers curling in the waistband of your shorts.
He looks at you for confirmation, and you nod hesitantly, but that's not enough for him.
"Aw baby, I thought you were a big girl, isn't that what you told me? C'mon, then. Use your big girl words for me."
His words stir something inside you, croaking out a quiet, "Please don't stop."
Steve hums in approval, slowly tugging down your shorts. It takes him no time to slide them down your legs, helping you maneuver around so he can pull them off, before he tosses them aside, not even glancing at where they land.
His large palms grip your inner thighs, slowly spreading you wide for him, eyes locked on yours until you're spread out for him. He looks down at your needy center, a groan bubbling up in his chest when he takes in your exposed body, letting his thumbs gently stroke the inside of your thighs, right next to where you need him most.
"So beautiful," he murmurs, slowly taking in your naked form until he's back to watching your face, "You're so beautiful, I could look at you for the rest of my life."
Nerves swirl around your body wildly, your heart thumping in your chest, but you don't have time to think about the gravity of his words.
Because his hands are inching closer, thumbs gently swiping over your folds teasingly, his teeth digging into his plump bottom lip when he swipes one down your slit.
"You're soaked," he comments, tilting his head as he looks at you, "What got you so worked up, hm baby?"
You want to make a sassy retort but you can't, because his fingers put more pressure on your core, collecting your slick, and it makes you glance down at the part of his body that's still covered by a towel, much to your dismay.
"Steve," you breathe out shakily when his fingers move up to circle your bundle of nerves, "Stevie, please."
"What's that?" he teases, his lips lifting in a smirk, "Sorry sweetheart, didn't hear you."
"Steve," you whine, back arching when his thumb swipes over your clit while he slowly pushes a thick finger inside you, "Fuck, I need you."
Steve hums in response, watching how his finger disappears into you, how your body opens up to him so beautifully.
"I know sweetheart," he murmurs, leaning over your body to look at you. He rests his weight on his forearm as he looms over you, adding another finger inside you and slowly pumping them in and out in tune with his thumb on your clit, "Gotta get you ready first, though."
You moan at how his thick digits play you like a finely tuned instrument, reaching up to cup his face. You bring him down to you, lips greedily taking his as his fingers pick up pace.
When he adds another finger to your aching hole, you let out a whine, and Steve takes the opportunity of your parted lips to slide his tongue into your mouth.
You mewl into his mouth when he starts fingering you more determinedly, your hands curling in his blonde locks as your hips buck up against his hand.
"Yeah, you like that?" He murmurs against your lips, making you nod eagerly, "Mmh, I can tell baby, you're squeezing my fingers so tight. You wanna come, hm?"
You nod again, pulling on his hair, which only makes him chuckle as he tucks his face into your neck, "Want that too. Want you to soak my fingers, need to make my best girl feel good."
His lips suck on your neck, making you keen under him, the coil in your stomach tightening and making your body tense in anticipation.
His thumb continues its expert assault on your clit, your hips bucking up before you start trembling, and when you come undone with a cry Steve groans, "That's it, there you go. Fuck yes, you're doing so well for me baby. Good girl, c'mon, keep going."
He doesn't let up, his fingers keep torturing you as you come, prolonging your orgasm, and you can feel your entire body starting to shake violently as you soak his hand in your juices.
You gasp loudly, slumping into the mattress when he finally lets up his assault, but you don't get much of a reprieve, because his lips are back, moving possessively over yours.
"We can stop, if you want," he mumbles against your lips, leaning his heavy weight on top of you when you wrap your arms over his shoulders, "We don't have to."
"Want to," you whisper immediately, "Want to feel you."
Steve pulls back a little, eyes meeting yours earnestly, "I'm serious, sweetheart. We can wait, we don't-"
"Steven," you interrupt, doing your best to keep your voice steady, "I want this. Please, I need this. Need you to fuck me. Need to feel you."
Steve's jaw tenses at your words, and it takes everything in him to remind himself to be gentle with you.
"I want this too," he replies, cupping your cheek, "More than anything, you have no idea. But, I.."
"What?" You ask, your brows furrowing at the serious expression on his face, "Stevie, what's wrong?"
He sighs, his thumb stroking your cheek and swiping over your bottom lip, "I uhm.. You know, the serum enhances everything. And I, uh, I haven't really been with anyone since I came out of the ice. So I just.. Don't know what to expect."
Your brows raise in surprise, "Oh.. Okay.. I see.. Would you.. Would you rather wait? Because we can-"
"No!" He immediately exclaims, making you giggle at his eagerness. It lightens the tension a little, a smile working its way onto his face, "No, I don't want to wait, but I do want you to tell me if I'm hurting you. I don't want to hurt you. So please tell me if you want to stop at any point."
You nod, a slight worry running through you that you do your best to hide, "Okay, I promise. I'll tell you to stop if it hurts."
Steve nods, placing a kiss on your forehead before he pulls back to lean on his haunches again. You raise your upper body a little, leaning on your elbows as you watch him shyly unwrap the towel from his waist.
You don't even notice when he tosses it on the floor because your eyes are transfixed by what was just revealed to you.
Your mouth gapes open as you look at his cock, so much thicker and larger than any cock you've ever seen in your entire fucking life.
Considering Steve's size, it doesn't seem that crazy, but considering how massive he is compared to you, you suddenly realize why he was hesitant about this.
You clamp your mouth shut once you realize you've been gawking at his dick, your eyes darting up to meet his.
His brows are furrowed slightly, his expression worried as he waits for you to speak.
"That's-" you hesitate, quickly glancing down at his cock again before you look at his face, "That's a.. That's a really big dick."
Steve snorts out a surprised laugh at your wording, his tense form easing up a little and making you giggle as well.
He swipes a hand through his hair, shaking his head in amusement when his baby blues find you again, "You really do say things without thinking, huh?"
You shrug, tilting your head when your gaze travels down his body to focus on the massive member between his thighs, "Sometimes I get.. Overwhelmed."
He smirks, watching as you keep your eyes on his cock, and he's not disappointed when your teeth dig into your bottom lip right as he wraps one of his large hands around the base of it.
He pumps it leisurely, watching how you swallow thickly, before he husks out, "Sweetheart, you have no idea how much I want – no, fucking need – to be inside you."
Your eyes immediately flit up to his, your thighs instinctively spreading as you reply, "Just be gentle with me, Captain."
Steve suppresses the low growl building in his chest as his title rolls off your tongue, his fist squeezing the base of his cock to calm himself.
"I promise," he replies, leaning over you again as he keeps his fist wrapped around his cock, "I promise to always be gentle with you."
You lie back and reach up to cup his face, your breath hitching when he rubs the thick mushroom head of his cock between your folds, spreading around your juices. You tilt your hips a little, spreading your thighs as wide as they can go, holding searing eye contact when his tip catches on your entrance.
He breaches your hole, slowly pushing inside and forcing your walls to stretch around him, and you can immediately tell it's going to be a tight fit.
Apparently, Steve can too, because he instantly lets out a choked, "Oh shit, you're so tight baby, fuck."
Your brows furrow a little, teeth digging into your bottom lip as you try to focus on relaxing around him, helping him inside, a whine bubbling up in your throat when he manages to push the tip inside you.
"You okay?" he whispers breathlessly, eyes watching you intensely, "I can pull out if you-"
"Fuck no," you breathe out, wide eyes holding his, "Don't you fucking stop, keep g-going."
Steve hesitates, but you don't give him a chance to consider his options when you pull his face down to you, your lips taking his as your hands slide down his back.
He grunts into your mouth, instinctively pushing deeper inside you in response, and it makes you let out a loud moan against his lips.
He keeps pushing and pushing and pushing, his wide girth stretching you beyond your wildest dreams. Every time you think he's fully inside, he gives you a little more, and it knocks the breath from your lungs when he finally pushes fully inside, his heavy balls resting against your ass.
You whimper, and Steve groans lowly, his lips not letting up as they move over yours. Your fingers dig into his shoulders when his hips pull back only to push forward again, your entire body jolting in response.
He sets off a slow pace, doing his best to be gentle, and it helps you relax a bit, the stinging gradually turning into pleasure.
"Fuck," you cry when he tucks his face into your neck, leaning his entire heavy weight on top of you as he starts rutting into you more eagerly, "Oh god, Stevie, fuck."
Steve moans into your ear, his hot breath on your skin, voice breathless, "Fuck-oh shit-oh my god, you're so tight. God you feel so good, oh fuck."
You mewl, nails raking down his back when his hips pick up pace, his heavy grunts only spurring you on.
"Shit, you're sucking me right back in whenever I try to pull out. You're so tight sweetheart, but your pussy just keeps sucking me in. You're squeezing me so fucking tight, I'm not gonna be able to last long."
You let out breathy moans, quickly turning whinier when his cock throbs against your walls, the tip of his cock continuously rubbing against that spongy spot inside you.
You can't focus on anything other than the pleasure shooting through your body, his thick cock dragging against your walls as he fucks into you, reaching deeper than anyone you've ever been with before.
"Stevie, oh, 'm gonna cum, gonna cum, ah!"
Steve growls at your words, suddenly swiveling his hips, and it makes you cry out as you get thrown into a climax so unusual to what you've felt before. You've never been able to come just from sex, and the sensation is different than you're used to, but it makes your body wind tight and burn deliciously, a euphoria crashing over you in waves.
Steve feels it when every emotion floods your body, and he feels when you come around him, your walls squeezing him like a vice.
He lets out a shout, his hips pushing flush against yours as he whimpers against your neck, his warmth flooding your insides.
You let out a pathetic sound as you slowly come back down from your high, your fingers gently stroking his back as Steve pants against your skin.
He nuzzles his face into your neck, leaving a few soft kisses while he trails up to your jaw.
Your fingers slide into his hair, smiling softly when he pulls back a little to look at you, and then you both let out a giddy laugh as you look at each other.
"That was pretty fucking amazing," you whisper breathlessly, "Why did we wait so long to do that?"
Steve chuckles, pecking your lips before he whispers against them, "I don't know. But don't worry, we'll never have to again. Just give me five minutes and I'll be ready for round two."
"Okay," You smile, twirling a blonde strand of hair around your finger, "But while we wait, will you tell me about what your life was like in the past?"
Steve's smile turns shy, "You want to know about that?"
You nod determinedly, giving yourself to the baby blues swallowing you up, "I want to know every single thing about you."

A loud ding from the timer marks 40 minutes.
She peers into her oven, nervously eyeing her little experiment—the best, fudgiest brownies EVER! as proclaimed by a complete stranger on the internet, but she figured that the thousands of likes and online reviews had to count for something,
She went all out for this particular recipe, fishing for ingredients she’s never even heard of—dutch processed cacao, single origin chocolate, maldon sea salt. Seeing as how she’s never really had luck with baking, she’s not sure why she had chosen such a complex recipe. And just to pack on the pressure, there was a lot riding on these particular brownies. It’s the only reason why, after the second time she knocks over the bag of flour while reaching for the whisk, she doesn’t give up, hastily wiping up the mess through gritted teeth.
Because despite Fury’s orders to sustain minimal contact with her target, she could never stand to be in debt.
And during these past few weeks, she’d been indebted to Steve in more ways than one.
With these brownies, she figured they were more or less even.
One last time, and she could be done for good.
She waits impatiently, fingers drumming on the counter while the bake cools, before cutting up the brownies and draping some aluminum foil on top. She slides the tray off the counter and scoops it into her arms, balancing Steve’s thermos on top.
She slips out of her apartment and makes her way across the hall.
A tentative knock on apartment #4, then once more when no one responds after a little while.
Must not be home. Great. She’ll just return his thermos some other time and take the brownies to work—it’ll earn her a few much-needed brownie points with her coworkers anyway.
She’s just about to turn on her heels and head back across the hall, when she hears his door jerk open, revealing Steve in a white tank top and grey sweats. Her eyes falter for a second, a little taken aback by Steve’s unfamiliarly casual attire.
Eyes wide, he smiles, leaning forward with his palm resting on the door frame.
“Jess! Hey,” His brows furrow a little, eyes flitting down to the tray weighing down her arms.
“Hey, Steve.” She nods, eyes still fixated on how relaxed he seems in his pajamas, before it suddenly sinks in that this might be his rare day off from work. The last thing he’d probably want is her company.
She’s just about ready to thrust the brownies and thermos in his arms and run off, panic rising in her throat.
“Uhm, I’m just here to—“
“—hey, Steve, that the pizza guy?”
A male voice shouts from inside the apartment.
Shit, he’s got company. So definitely not a good time.
Steve swivels around, calling back to whoever is in his living room “Uh, no, Buck,  it’s my…”
He turns back to her, eyes hesitating with an unreadable emotion.
“… my neighbor, Jess.” He finishes quietly.
Though her heart already sinks at the mention of his name, her stomach churns a second time when she hears footsteps approach Steve’s side. And low and behold, there he was—the infamous Winter Soldier and Steve’s best friend. It’s the first time she’s seen Bucky Barnes in person, and he’s just as formidable as Steve at first glance—biceps bulging through a red Henley shirt, metal hand sticking out like a sore thumb under his sleeve, not concealed with the glove SHIELD advises him to wear during public outings. He immediately sticks his hand into the pocket of his jeans, surveying her reaction to see if she’d noticed. She feigns innocence, smiling politely.
Yet, not everything’s true to her memory.
His hair’s a little shorter than how she’d pictured, and his eyes a little lighter, a strain of hazel running through the cool blue. Any lingering sense of intimidation dissolves when he smiles, casting a sideways glance at Steve then back down at her.
“So this is Jess, huh?” He smirks, leaning forward as he extends his flesh hand in greeting.
“Bucky. It’s nice to meet you.”
‘So this is Jess.’
That, and the way Steve’s perks up at Bucky’s words, the tips of his ears blooming crimson, could only mean one thing. It’s a glaringly obvious truth that she tries oh-so-hard to avoid.
Instead, she glances down sheepishly at the tray of brownies in her arms, then back up at Bucky’s extended hand.
“Oh, hey, let me get that for you.” Steve quickly reaches forward, taking the tray from her arm. She shoots him an appreciative smile before tentatively taking Bucky’s hand, feeling more than overwhelmed by not one but two super soldiers now crowding the doorway.
Bucky’s grip is more calloused than Steve’s, fingers shorter and thicker. His grip is just as strong and warm, though, and the charming grin he flashes her way leaves her wondering whether he’s just as… forward in meetings with other strangers. The rumor around her office had always painted him as the silent, brooding type.
“I-I was just gonna return your thermos, and uh…” her voice falters, gaze trailing over to the way Bucky was leaning over the tray still in Steve’s hands, lifting the aluminum foil on top curiously. Bucky looks back down at her, smiling sheepishly.
“Sorry, these smell amazing. Are they… shit, Steve, they’re brownies.”
“Buck.” Steve mutters, subtly nudging his best friend’s side as he angles the tray away.
“Yeah, I baked ‘em this morning.” She nods, giving Bucky an awkward smile. She tucks her hair behind her ear, shifting her weight between her feet.
Her gaze trails over to the blonde, who’s giving her that familiar warm smile.
“You didn’t have to Jess, really. Thank you.”
His gaze is so earnest, voice deep as he thanks her. She can only nod hastily in response, swallowing thickly.
Steve clears his throat, taking another step toward her, and gestures toward the apartment with his head.
“Do you… do you wanna come in for a bit? Bucky and I were just about to put on a film.”
And maybe it was the endearing way he still uses the word film instead of movie.
Or the way he seemed so different from his usual put-together look—hair light and soft, standing up in small, unruly peaks as if he hadn’t styled it since he’s woken up. A white sleeveless shirt, clad tightly across his pecs, grey sweats hanging low over his hips.
Or, maybe, it was just his characteristic way of making an honest offer—warm and earnest, without any pretense of false politeness.
Whatever the reason, she finds herself nodding, slipping past Bucky as he steps aside to let her inside.
Steve carefully sets the tray on his kitchen island, quietly chastising Bucky when he immediately starts to fiddle with the aluminum, trying to sneak a piece. She shuffles awkwardly around the kitchen island, so that there’s 40 inches of beige linoleum between her and the two super soldiers. She refrains from peering around the rest of the apartment out of politeness. From what appears in her peripheral vision, though, she can tell that the layout of his house is pretty much the same as her own.
“Those are for me, jerk.” Steve mutters quietly, the corner of his lip quirking up in a smile as Bucky’s starts to pull a slice off of the tray.
“Sharing’s carin’ Stevie.” Bucky mumbles nonchalantly,
Steve gives in with a joking sigh, leaning against the counter as he looks up at her, brows raised.
“Do you want a piece, Jess?”
“Oh, no, I’m okay thank—“
“—holy shit.” She’s cut off by Bucky’s loud moan, holding up a corner piece with a large section already bitten off.
“Fuck, that’s amazing, Steve. You gotta try it.”
Bucky chews as he glances up at her, eyes glinting under the kitchen light. He swallows, licking his lips before asking:
“You a baker, Jess?”
Steve lets out a quiet chuckle, walking around the counter and reaching for a roll of paper towels at the other end.
“She’s a nurse, Buck.”
Bucky’s brows raise at that, eyes lighting up with renewed interest as he sinks his teeth in, taking another bite.
“You must like saving people, then, huh? Like Stevie here.” He juts his elbow toward his friend, who rolls his eyes and shoots her an apologetic glance. She tries to stifle a smile, settling down in one of the kitchen bar stools, feeling a little more relaxed as the two Avengers continue to bicker bout how many pieces Bucky’s allowed to steal from Steve’s tray.
“Bucky’s right, though, Jess. This is phenomenal. How long have you been baking?”
The truthful answer would have been 5 hours. Instead, though, she gives him a smile, shrugging innocently as she answers:
“Not long. Started a couple years ago.”
She figured the whole ‘home-baker’ thing tracked with Jess’s character—alongside the whole wide-eyed, girl-next-door look.
“So what movie are we watching?”
She asks nonchalantly—a clumsy attempt at shifting the conversation away from herself, but it works nonetheless.
Bucky sighs dramatically at the question, while Steve shoots him an amused glance.
“Well…” Bucky starts, picking up another brownie square before walking around the kitchen island toward the living room.
“… Steve was trying to convince me to watch Star Wars with him.” He sighs nonchalantly, plopping down on the living room couch.
And she can’t help but let out a surprised snort at that, hand immediately flying over to her mouth to stifle the noise. Mortified, she glances over sheepishly at Steve.
Leaned forward with both palms on the kitchen counter, Steve looks up at her with a raised brow, a slight twitch in the corner of his lip.
“Sorry, I just… that’s the last movie I would’ve guessed for you.” She murmurs quietly, still stifling a smile.
“Oh yeah? Why’s that?” Steve shoots back almost immediately, his lips breaking open in an amused grin.
“Well, it’s just, you know… kinda nerdy?”
Steve’s eyes flutter shut as he lets out a soft chuckle, shaking his head.
“That’s fair.”
From across the room, Bucky laughs too, scrolling carelessly through the TV channels as he tosses out a comment in their direction.
“Oh, you thought he was cool, Jess?”
She leans forward in her seat, staring directly into Steve’s eyes as a new sense of adoration blooms in her chest.
Who would’ve thought that Captain America was secretly a geek?
She shrugs, a small smile tugging on her lips as she mutters:
"I'd like to think so."
And despite the fact that the rest of the night is filled with nothing but trivial moments, she feels the knot in her stomach growing tighter with each second she spends with Steve.
When he patted the spot on the couch next to him, gesturing for her to sit down, the fabric of his sweats brushing against her as he shifted to make room. The scent of soft oak and fresh linen as he occasionally leaned into her side, pointing out nerdy tidbits about the Star Wars franchise, eager to share the comforting alcove of fiction he’d found in the 21st century.
Or even when the pizza delivery arrived and she finally got a peek at the box, discovering the name of his favorite pizza place. She had glanced over at Steve instinctively, lips stretched in a knowing smile as they exchanged a look completely unbeknownst to Bucky.
With Steve, her heart beats immeasurably faster at the littlest of things.
And it fills her with more dread than she can bear.

Fuck, your neighbor was hot as hell. You sat on your window seat gawking at the tall, sexy neighbor as he picked up huge boxes and carried them in the house as if it weighed no more than feathers.
Muscles rippled in a dark blue muscle shirt as he moved and bent over. And that ass. You bit your lip as the neighbor bent further down to lift a chair. Oh and those thighs. You sighed. The Lord took His time with this one.
The man was at least six foot tall, dark blond hair and a full trimmed beard. He wore a pair of dark jeans and boots. All week, you had watched him go in and out of the newly bought house next door. He carried lots of boxes but none of them gave any clue to his story.
Was he married? Was he expecting? Surely someone that damn fine had a wife heavenly pregnant and ordering him about. You weren’t sure how he didn’t have eleven rugrats running around. There were no other movers and the neighbor had rented a small truck for his sofa and dressers.
You also saw the neighborhood crones using any excuse in the book to talk to him and be nosy. If he thought someone that looked like him was going to move here without raising any alarms, he was sorely mistaken.
You gasped as he stopped to stretch, moving his body beyond his limit. You just wanted to lick him. Just once. You fanned yourself as you watched him. You imagined all kinds of filthy things when it came to him.
You imagined him grabbing your fleshy thighs and shaking them before slapping them. You imagined him in between your legs coating that full beard with your juices. You imagined him breaking your back. Like, literally breaking your back. Because he could put you in the hospital and you’d say thank you.
He disappeared into the house. His curtains were thrown open so you could still watch him moving around the house. The downfall to stock houses was that they were lined up just so. The houses were nearly identical. Your bedroom window faced his bedroom window on the second floor. The angle you had was just enough to see his kitchen sink. It’d be possible to see his arms and hands as he washed.
You spent plenty of nights this week just watching his hands work over his meager dishes. If he was married, she didn’t live with him. You never saw anyone coming or going from his place. He didn’t have a second car.
Your mom called your name. “I’ve got this cake for the neighbor, let’s go introduce ourselves,” she called.
You rolled your eyes. Yes, your mom was very much just as gossipy as the neighborhood crones. Everything you’ve heard of the neighbor was through her and probably had twisted from its original message.
You weren’t dressed yet. You had made watching him your dirty hobby. But you couldn’t summon the energy to care. Sometimes, you got the eerie feeling as if he were watching you too. You had taken to keeping your curtains open and your light on.
You never saw him look over here. The random times he was in his room and moving around, he never gave any indication that he knew you were looking. Still, you pranced around in your bra and panties every morning or before hanging with your friends as you decided what to wear.
Sometimes, you even faced the window as you decided between two shirts or two skirts. You pretended that he was picking your outfits, telling you what he likes seeing you in. That he would imagine ripping it off of your body all day and it would drive him crazy. Knowing you’d be capable of making him hard and uncomfortable all day turned you on so badly.
You stood and did just that. You faced his bedroom window even though he was probably still on the first floor. You held up a red, frilly shirt and a light ocean blue plain shirt. You flipped back and forth, imagining what he’d like.
You put the shirts on your bed and then flipped between jeans and white shorts. You held up the red shirt and white shorts. If you were going to meet him, you might as well show him what you’re working with. You turned around and imagined him at the window, getting dressed for him.
You bent low and shimmied into the white shorts as slow as you could. Then you slipped on the red babydoll tee. It made your breasts look good. Plus it was hot as sin outside.
You ran down the stairs and sat on the steps as you slipped on your shoes. Your mom floated into the room holding a small box. “I went with chocolate,” your mom said. “Everybody likes chocolate and those who don’t are lying to get attention.”
You laughed as you shook your head. Your mom was gorgeous, with flowing locs and a great figure. She wore loose tan pants and a cream shirt.
“Isn’t this a little Southern of us?” You asked. You lived in Suburbia with the white picket fences and neighbors who’d gone to high school together. It was capital boredom and should be labeled as a torture method.
“Best way to meet your neighbors. They associate you with good food and are less likely to be rude to you by throwing loud parties and orgies,” your mother said.
You snorted. Your mom never had a filter and would often say the first thing that comes to mind. Your dad hated it but you caught him smiling more than a few times.
You trudged over the manicured lawn, over the small concrete divider, and onto his property. The door was closed. He was probably taking a break from moving things. Your mom rang the doorbell and you waited.
The door finally opened and you gasped silently. He was even more gorgeous in person. Fuck, it had to be illegal to carry those arms. They looked big enough to crush a coconut in one grip. His hands were large and his fingers were long, like a musician's fingers.
He smirked at you and your mother. Your mom stepped forward. “We wanted to introduce ourselves, we’re your neighbors on that side,” she said and pointed to your house.
She told him your names and all about the chocolate cake, including her joke about people lying. He threw his head back as he laughed as if it were that funny.
“I’m Steve,” he said. He shook your mom’s hand and then moved to yours. His grip was firm but not crushing.
You looked down at your combined hands, loving the way that your copper skin contrasted with his creamy skin. He held on a second too long before turning his attention to your mom who asked him a million questions.
“If I heard all of those, I’d say I moved here for work, not married, and I work for the military. Did I get it all?” He asked.
He had a bit of an accent. You guessed somewhere on the East Coast. Your mom giggled. You looked at her as if she grew a third head. She widened her eyes at you and then smiled back at Steve. She prattled on about her career, that fact that you were in college for your master’s, and that you were always available if he needed you.
Since his attention was on your mom, you took the opportunity to study him up close. His blue eyes were sharp, giving one hundred percent of his focus on the person speaking. He had a prominent vein on the side of his neck and you imagined licking it.
“Oh, I have to take this, excuse me,” your mom said. She answered her phone and stepped off of the porch.
You turned to Steve who had his eyes trained on you. He barely blinked and did not look away.
“So, military huh? That explains that,” you said. You waved at his figure and he laughed. It was deep and made you tingle.
“Thank you. I’m not active duty anymore, I’ve transitioned to the state side and do boring office work now. You home for the summer?” He asked.
“Yes, I am. Taking a break so no work, no homework, just time to decompress. Usually in the pool. This is one of the worst summers ever,” you said and fanned yourself.
Steve slowly perused your body. There was no mistaking that look in his eyes. He faintly smirked as he took in your outfit, your wide curves, your generous hips, and your thick thighs.
He slowly dragged that gaze back up until he reached your face. “Make sure you stay cool, then. Dehydration is nothing to play with,” he said.
Your mouth went dry under the intense heat of his gaze. You were aware. You were aware of him and aware of his focus. You bit your lips and his eyes zeroed in on it. His eyes narrowed.
“Are you okay?” He asked. You shifted your footing, trying to find some relief. The heat outside had nothing on his face.
Your mom’s scuffling shoes took you out of the moment. He winked at you before your mom joined you. Though it was Saturday, her job needed her to come in and solve an emergency. She waved goodbye to Steve and told him not to be a stranger.
You waved bye, unable to speak at the moment. As you turned to leave, Steve grabbed your hand. He ran his fingers over your wrist as he leaned in.
“My favorite color is light blue. And you should get more of those garter things. They look divine on you,” he said. Gravel skated over ‘divine’ and you whimpered. You hoped he didn’t catch that. Your eyes flicked from his lips to his eyes and his eyes narrowed again.
Your heart thundered in your chest. He knew what you had been doing all along. Your skin heated for entirely different reasons as you thought of all the different lingerie combinations you tried on in front of the window. It somehow made it filthier that he was getting naughty glimpses of you. It made you horny all day thinking of wearing the lingerie and that he didn’t know it was for him.
It had gotten so bad, that you didn’t care if your parents were home. You had to get off on thinking that he helped select the combos. And those were some of the best orgasms you ever gave yourself.
“Yes, sir,” you whispered and licked your lips. He smiled and nodded his head as if he were dismissing you. As if he had any right to order you around.
Yet you left the porch and nearly skipped across the lawn like he told you. Before getting in the house, you looked back. He stood on the porch, facing you, with his hands in his pockets. You smiled and went inside, thinking of how many blue outfits you owned.

Joseph Rogers & America:
Follow up to this ask about Steve and Bucky’s extended family from pre-war.
~
In CATFA, Steve said his dad was injured by mustard gas in WWI, but was in the 107th infantry, an American regiment, not an Irish one.
On the face of it, that makes it look like Joseph Rogers must have been in NYC from at least March 1917, possibly as late as Oct 1917 (since America only joined WWI in April 1917, but didn't deploy until 20 November).
However...
If Joseph was living in Ireland between 1914-1918 then he would’ve been drafted into a UK Regiment before he could emigrate to America (since Ireland was then still part of the UK). Even as a resident alien in America, if he hadn’t already declared intent to become a US citizen he would’ve been subject to the UK’s draft instead.
So even though America didn’t join the war until 1917, to have avoided the UK draft altogether Joseph probably has to have been in New York since at least 1914... unless, as said, he emigrated later but had already declared intent to become a US citizen.
(My first thought was that Sarah must have been with him, but not necessarily... She and Joseph could’ve married in Ireland, then he could have emigrated first, before her, to earn enough money to bring her along. Her alienation from an extended family network could’ve been because of this, or some other reason.)
Joseph and Sarah would’ve known from April 1917 that Joseph was going to be deployed with the US Army.
So if you believe the DOB for Steve being July 4 1918, then we know Joseph and Sarah must've been in the same place on Oct 7, 1917.
(Or a little later, if Steve was born premature, which is another possibility. Unless Steve’s real DOB is something else in 1918. But which months it could’ve been are severely limited by the dates of Joseph’s potential deployments.)
Which puts the date of Steve's ‘official’ conception right before Joseph could conceivably have first been deployed (Nov 1917).
That to me suggests a certain urgency.
If Sarah wasn’t already with Joseph in NYC by then, she definitely emigrated at the very latest in October 1917.
It’s a potentially quite bittersweet scenario of Sarah going by boat all the way to America to be with her husband, only for her husband to be almost immediately shipped off to Europe to fight in the war. 😕

theme change!!! theme change!!! it's so bookstore meet cute with steeb 🥺🫶🏻✨️💛 maybe even neighbors au
theme change!!! eeeep steebie deserves a wonderful meet cute 💫💛
maybe there’s a growing stack of books in your arms as you walk around an empty used/second-hand bookstore. 5 minutes later, before you can add another potential purchase to the heap, the top of it wobbles and books spill, scatter, and spin across the floor. you huff. “good thing no one saw that,” you say to yourself.
when you crouch down to gather your books, brown boots appear in your line of vision. you can’t describe or recreate the sound of surprise you make; where did this person soundlessly come from?
tilting your head upwards, you make eye contact with the prettiest man you’ve ever seen. he bends lower to hand you a runaway member of the pile. in a tone that makes you think he’s more embarrassed about this than you, he shyly says “um, this one found its way over to the next bookshelf.”
or maybe you’ve been getting mail meant for someone by the name of steve rogers. the first time it happened, you got an extra casino advertisement out of it. you tossed both yours and his into the recycling bin underneath the mailboxes. even if steve was a gambler, he wouldn’t need the encouragement. the second and third time you got extra junk mail, you figured out the mail carrier for your apartment building keeps mistaking 0 for 8.
it’s nothing that requires effort on your part until the fourth time. this is what you have planned: knock on steve’s door, explain to him the mail mix up situation, give him his letter from the dmv, tell him there really wasn’t a way for you to get that letter into his box and therefore leave him undisturbed. by then, you and your awesome judge of character could determine if he was worthy of your extra mailbox key to make both of your lives easier.
he’s actually home when you knock, so you’re able to go through all 5 steps. what you don’t anticipate is that neighbor steve rogers is captain america steve rogers, and that he’s slightly horrified by your lack of safety.

Steve's mysterious birthday gift
Post CACW, fluff, angst, sweet, no salt
There is an extra package sitting on top of the loosely assembled pile of gifts. He has counted them all one by one. Nat's beautiful, hand knitted shawl was delivered from India. Wanda's coloring book for adults came from Hamburg. Bucky's hand made (from goat hair?) brush set was delivered by a surly looking undercover Wakandan spy. While Sam's collection of records was handed by the man himself.
But this one, this tiny unassuming one gave Steve a pause. If his treacherous little heart was right—god, he hoped he was right, and it came from where he thinks it did? Then Steve swore to himself he wouldn't waste any more days staring at the horizon. Just waiting and yearning for the startling streak of red to appear.
But if he was wrong and this little silver box turned out to be a bomb or toxic package or a homing signal...
Sam nudged his ribs, eyes wide and worried.
"Want me to send it to the Dora?"
The thought of Wakandan security tearing this unknown thing apart sent a terrible shard of pain through his chest, making him snatch it from the pile in haste.
Ignoring Sam's surprised flinch, Steve tore through the packaging.
Inside was a carefully crafted pocket watch. A little silver thing with a key that stole his breath away. Cheap metal scarred over and over. The kind which was invaluable.
It was an expensive, terribly expensive gift. Not of money but of time and resources. He doesn't even know how the sender got his hands on it.
He had known it to be lost with many things. Forgotten. A passed away relic nobody cared about. The one thing his mother carried with her. Her last connection to the home she left behind when she came to Brooklyn. The remnant she had to pawn off to survive one of the harshest winters they had ever known.
Steve remembered talking about it under the influence of Thor's Asgardian drink. He recalled curious eyes, sharp and focused. Eyes of the man who knew the value of memories, but not money.
"Oh," Steve breathed over the watch, thumbed it along the edge. He closed his eyes and took a moment to send out a prayer for his mother. Then pressed his lips over the watch.
Sam's eyes were on his. His silence not prying, not pressing for answers like Nat would. Only eternally patient and calm like he always was.
"This was my mom's. Well, my Nana 's I think. She had to pawn it off before. I thought -" His words caught up in his throat, so he cleared his voice and tried again. "I didn't..."
He closed his eyes and laughed silently.
"God, Tony's just- he's so stupid."
They were worlds apart. Ripped away from each other by their own volition. Unable to reach out because Steve was a criminal and Tony was still hurting, still curling around the wound over his heart. And yet...
Yet ...
Steve could almost hear it whispered over the immortal flame of a lone candle. A hand that held a tiny burnt cupcake smelling too strongly of vanilla and orange. A man torn between the past and the present confronted by a man always looking at the future.
Sam held out a card for him, looking solemn and pained, and a little bit jealous.
Steve would come to mull over it later, about his friend's distant gaze settled over the sky and the gun metal greys of his wings.
But right then, he took the card with gentle care, saw the generic wish written in familiar chicken scratch and ended up staring at the idiotic frowny face at the bottom for a long time.
He felt warmth bloom across his chest. Like his mother's gaze. Bucky's hand on his shoulder. Nat's smile. Wanda's humming. Sam's steady wisdom.
It was a bit like morning hope.
The kind that brought a streak of red and gold.

[PART 1] [PART 2]
“Are you nervous?” Steve asks to break the silence.
“Yeah.”
“We don’t have to do this, you can always change your mind,” Steve reminds him.
“No, I want to. I — you’re the first guy who’s ever made me rethink my relationship,” Bucky admits.
“Really?”
“Yeah, you were just so nice and good-looking and I knew when I was starting to feel something…”
“Feelings change, Buck. You don't have to feel guilty about it.”
“I know, it’s just a lot. I mean, Zemo has taught me everything I know,” Bucky blushes.
Steve smirks. He steps closer and brushes his hand lightly down Bucky’s arm.
“I bet I can teach you a few new things.”
In response to his suggestive words, Bucky slowly closes his eyes. It sends a surge through Steve.
“Would you like that?” Steve asks him low.
“Yeah,” Bucky says breathily. Steve sucks in a breath at hearing his voice like that for the first time, heavy with desire.
“Why don’t we start with something simple,” Steve suggests. And with Bucky’s eyes still closed, he frames the man’s face gently in his hands, leans in, and finally tastes the lips he’s been dreaming about for months now.
Bucky kisses him back automatically and Steve’s thrilled it already feels so natural. Bucky even grabs onto the hem of Steve’s shirt like he needs to keep him close. It makes it easy for Steve to glide his hands down to his neck, press his tongue into his mouth, and revel in the moan that sounds from Bucky.
Steve lets the kiss wade and he slowly leans back to open his eyes. He looks at Bucky with his eyes closed, mouth parted, standing practically limp in front of him like he’s waiting for Steve to lead every step of the way. And Steve can’t fucking wait to. He’s nearly giddy as his skin burns with anticipation. He slides his fingers under the hem of Bucky’s shirt and hears his breath hitch.
“Could we take this off?” Steve asks, pausing his hands.
Bucky nods and lifts his arms as Steve slides the material up and off his body. Steve drops the shirt on the ground as his eyes rake down the man’s beautiful torso. He soaks in every inch of it, too excited for his own good, his fingers race to the belt wrapped around Bucky’s jeans.
“How about this too?” Steve asks, although his fingers are already working the thing open.
“Yeah,” Bucky allows belatedly. His belt already crashing against the hardwood floor and Steve’s moving on the button and zipper of his pants.
The jeans come off next and when he’s left in his underwear, that’s when Bucky opens his eyes and a wave of self-consciousness crashes over him. He steps back, folding his arms across himself. “Um, wait.”
Steve stands still, tries to resist drinking his body in, and keeps his gaze level with Bucky’s face.
“You should undress too,” Bucky says.
Steve nods and easily whips his shirt and pants off much faster than Bucky seemed to expect he would. Bucky’s mouth parts, he looks suddenly worried.
“We can slow down,” Steve tells him.
“No, um… I just…” Bucky glances around at the walls. “I just haven’t shown anyone else.”
Steve nods, “You can leave them on for now.”
Bucky shakes his head like he’s willing himself to get through this.
“I want to — I need to,” Bucky says and with that, he shoves his boxers down to his ankles and stands tall for Steve to see all of him.
Steve’s eyes train down to his cock, he blinks slowly, taking in the sight of Bucky half-hard.
“Is it… pretty enough?” Bucky asks so low Steve could’ve missed it.
“Oh honey,” Steve’s skin prickles. He smiles so lovingly, he can instantly see the effect it has on Bucky. “It’s so fucking pretty. You’re perfect.”
Steve watches his words coat Bucky’s skin like a layer of relief. He breathes in slowly.
“My turn?” Steve asks.
Bucky presses down a smile and nods. Steve slides off his underwear and watches Bucky’s eyes drop down.
“Is it big enough for you, honey?” Steve asks him. He hears Bucky’s breath shudder, still staring.
“Yeah, you’re bigger than… I thought,” Bucky marvels.
Steve closes the space between them and when Bucky’s eyes haven’t lifted from his cock, Steve gently tilts his chin up and kisses him. Bucky sighs into it, sounds relieved again, kissing him back in time, and Steve melts into this man’s mouth. Zemo’s been so lucky to have access to these perfect lips all this time. Why in the world would he ever give this up, Steve wonders.
“If you could… um, just tell me if it’s going alright, okay?” Bucky requests softly when they part.
“I’m having a great time,” Steve grins and Bucky can’t help but smirk a little.
“I meant…” he starts shyly.
“I know,” Steve frames his face again. “I’ll tell you all night how good it’s going.”
Without warning, Steve hooks both of Bucky’s legs and wraps them around his waist, hoisting the man up. Bucky gasps, wrapping his arms around Steve’s neck. Steve walks him to the bed and lays him flat on the mattress.
Bucky smiles widely for the first time tonight and Steve needs to immediately lean over him and kiss the smile on his face especially now that he can. Steve kisses him long and hard, sliding their naked bodies together until Bucky starts to moan under him.
“This is so good,” Steve murmurs in between kisses and then slips a hand down Bucky’s body. He grazes his cock and then glides it underneath to his hole. “Can we get you open, baby?
“Yeah,” Bucky breathes, lifting his hips and spreading his thighs apart.
“Let me get the lube,” Steve says and kisses Bucky once more before leaving the bed to search through his nightstand.
Steve takes his time working Bucky open and all the while, he’s kissing Bucky nice and slow. He knows how much progress he’s making every time Bucky needs to pull away from a sensual kiss to groan and squirm from Steve’s spreading fingers.
“Are you ready?” Steve asks.
Bucky opens his eyes and stares up at him. He grabs Steve’s face and kisses him like it’s the first time. Like he’s been waiting for this moment and puts all his force into it. It knocks Steve’s breath out of his lungs.
“Yes,” Bucky says after he draws back.
Steve rolls on top of him and pushes his knees up. He lines his cock up, his breath going shallow with want as he carefully begins to push inside. Bucky whines from the breach. Wrapping his arms around Steve’s neck, Steve kisses him as he pushes in to the hilt and they both moan when he gets there.
“That’s so good,” Steve gravels, closing his eyes as the pleasure blurs over his senses. He kisses Bucky’s forehead and then rocks forward. “Gonna move now.”
“God, Steve,” Bucky moans only a few seconds into Steve’s gentle thrusts. “Oh, god.”
“So good,” Steve mumbles again, unknowingly picking up the pace now.
Bucky’s grip tightens, his nails digging in. Steve feels his self-constraint leaving him, he hasn’t felt this animalistic in a while. He had wanted to take this slow, move at Bucky’s pace, but he’s finding himself ramping up the speed without meaning to. He finds his needs taking charge without him wanting them to.
Bucky’s moans are constant in Steve’s ear making everything harder. Steve grunts after a rough succession of thrusts and tries to slow himself down.
“Good for you, baby?” Steve asks.
Bucky presses his face into Steve’s shoulder, bucks up his hips, and whines again.
“Fuck, so good - don’t - stop,” Bucky huffs, rutting his hips up and down Steve’s cock until a guttural groan leaves Steve’s throat and he has to keep fucking him.
He thrusts back into a rhythm and there’s no question now that Steve’s losing it. He can feel the pleasure mounting in his spine. He wants to slow down even if it’s just to savor the moment, remember every sensation of being inside Bucky, but he can’t.
“Buck, please— tell me you’re close,” Steve gripes, still fucking him in earnest.
Bucky doesn’t answer, his nails buried into Steve’s skin, his face pressed against him. Steve’s about to pull back, look at him and ask again, but then Bucky lets out a wail. His body clenches around the base of Steve's cock. Steve’s motion falters from it, he clambers for balance and Bucky falls back down on the pillows, his body arching back as he comes across his stomach.
Steve barely has time to appreciate the sight when his eyes close sharply and his release rushes through him. He groans loudly, his cock pulsating violently as he fills Bucky in large spurts. It drains him enough that when he’s done, his weight gives in and he falls on top of Bucky.
The sound of their panting fills the room and they’re quiet for a few long minutes just trying to regain their breath. Steve doesn’t want to pull out, feels like when he does it’s officially over. And his biggest fear right now is that Bucky will walk out of this room and never let Steve inside him again.
As Steve’s breathing finally calms he’s close enough that he can plant small kisses on the side of Bucky’s neck. Bucky heaves in a breath as his chest finally levels out.
“Are you okay?” Steve asks. Within the pause before his answer, Steve sits up so he can look at Bucky’s face.
“I’m good, really good,” Bucky smiles.
Steve smiles right back, relieved. He kisses him although part of him worries he’s not supposed to kiss him anymore but Bucky lets him, kisses him right back too.
Steve stares down at him, still trying to stall having to pull out. Bucky chuckles briefly, sensing Steve’s resistance to go anywhere.
“I could help you get cleaned up,” Steve says. “In the shower or…”
“Yeah,” Bucky says before Steve rambles for too long.
Steve finally commits to pulling out and sits back on his knees to watch the come drip out of Bucky.
Bucky sits up and surprisingly cups Steve’s face and grants him another kiss. Steve smiles so wide when they part.
“Shower’s good,” Bucky says.
Steve nods and hops off the bed to start the water. When the water’s warm, Bucky stands in front of him and lets Steve drag a washcloth over his body. He lets Steve wipe under every curve and crevice until he’s clean. He doesn’t say anything. When he finishes, Steve presses one kiss into his neck and then drops the washcloth.
“All done,” Steve says, trying not to sound sad.
Bucky doesn’t move, doesn’t turn around either and Steve wonders what he’s thinking.
“Steve,” Bucky says finally.
“Yes?”
“About what I said before… about this being a one-time thing.”
“I hated that,” Steve confesses.
Bucky spins around so fast, water from the spray splashes Steve’s face. He wipes a hand down his eyes and then meets Bucky’s wondrous gaze.
“You mean that?” Bucky asks.
“I don’t want tonight to end,” Steve tells him and pulls him closer by his waist.
Bucky blinks up at him like he can’t believe the words he’s hearing. Then he lets his hands fall to Steve’s chest and caresses his wet skin. Steve has no idea how he’s going to let him leave, he wants these hands imprinted on his body forever.
“I don’t want it to end either.”
“Really?” Steve smiles.
“I’m leaving him.”
“Good,” Steve says on impulse.
“You’d want me, though?” Bucky asks. And it’s such a silly question, Steve can’t help but laugh.
He holds Bucky’s face and kisses him before he answers.
“I want you more than anything, Buck.”
Bucky smiles with disbelief. Then he falls into Steve, letting his head rest against his chest and hugging him with his arms. Steve hugs him back tighter and smiles to himself.
Somehow he got his handsome neighbor and now he’s never letting him go.

Apartment #3 - Chapter 4
Tumblr media
pairing: steve rogers x undercover!reader
warnings: 18+ SMUT*, Neighbors to Friends to Lovers, lots of angst, heavy mutual pining, hurt/comfort, eventual smut/romance/fluff
summary: as an undercover agent at SHIELD, her newest assignment involves moving in across the hall from her target. she's strictly ordered to keep her distance—no personal contact besides the absolutely necessary. the only issue? her new target neighbor turns out to be Captain America.
excerpt:
Jessica Grace Parker December 4th, 1989 569 Leaman Place Apt. #3, Brooklyn, NY 11201 Registered Nurse NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
It’s the undercover alias she’s been assigned as a member of SHIELD’s Special Operations unit. The mission objective was rather simple—monitor the target and report updates as necessary.
She’s gone undercover more than a dozen times, so it’s not the details of the assignment or the temporary relocation she’s concerned about.
It’s just that her target was well… more unusual than most.
author's note: an idea that's been living in my head ever since steve asked sharon for that cup of coffee in their apartment hallway. as a SHIELD agent, the reader's real name has been [REDACTED] to preserve anonymity.

Living as Captain America’s neighbor teaches her a thing or two about his routine.
He’s out the door by half past five each morning, the muffled jingling of his keys from across the hall a daily reminder that while he’s up for a jog at the crack of dawn, she's still in the comfort of her bed, eyes-half closed while she scrolls mindlessly on her phone.
He returns by 7 am, right around the time she’s leaving her apartment in fake hospital scrubs, heading to take the train to Manhattan. She’s run into him in the hallway about a handful of times, and he’d always greeted her with a friendly wave and a peppy grin, stepping aside to let her through. Each time, she'd manage a quick wave, trying not to stare at the tousled ends of his hair, or his arms through that ridiculously tight underarmour shirt.
He’s busy for most of the day, as is she, but on weekends and occasional days off she’d see him around the building, checking the mail, taking out the trash—just simple, normal, neighborly things. All so incredibly mundane that she almost starts to forget that he’s America’s most beloved hero.
Almost.
Sometimes, she’s reminded of the painful truth. That to Steve, she’s just… Jess, the nurse in unit 3.
It’s the end of yet another work day, and she’s barely managed to clamber up the last few stairs to her floor before exploding into a bout of loud sneezes.
“Ugh… fuck me.” She groans, blowing her nose into the tissue in her head as she trudges over to her door, feeling her head pound with each painful step.
“Hey, Jess.”
From down the hall, Steve waves, locking up his door behind him.
A pair of dark aviators hang from the collar of his shirt, the brown leather jacket hanging off his arm a faded shade of sepia.
And maybe its her oxygen-depleted brain, or the fact that she’s always been so paranoid about getting others sick, that she completely forgets about Steve’s super-immune system. As he starts to make his way over, she jumps back, holding both hands out in warning.
“No, stay back!”
At the confused furrow in his soft brows, she winces, giving him an apologetic smile.
“Sorry, just…” She holds up the crumpled tissue in her palm, pointing to the strawberry pink tip of her nose. “…getting over a small cold.”
Well, it was a little more than that, actually.
A dinner invite over at Phil and Melinda’s, both good friends from work. Their two young children, ages 5 and 8, had immediately welcomed her with their own musical rendition of Frozen. And it was all fun and games, hanging out with those mini-agents, until they got their tiny, grubby hands all over the dinner plates while setting the table.
Turns out there’s been a flu outbreak at their school.
Now, she’s stuck with a seriously stuffy nose and a raging headache, shivering from head to toe when its still 80 degrees out.
“Oh, right.” The confused divot between Steve’s brows dissolves as he slows his steps, keeping his distance.
“…did you catch it at work?”
She blinks, brain screeching to a halt.
“Hmm? Oh, yeah. Early flu season around the pediatrics unit, apparently.”
“Ah, I’m sorry.” Steve purses his lips, smiling sympathetically.
Through clenched teeth, she shrugs, stomach churning at the words that roll so easily off her tongue.
“Just part of the job.”
He slowly slips his keys into the pocket of his jeans, bouncing on the balls of his feet before pointing down the hall.
“Well, I should…”
“R-right.”
She nods quickly, stepping back to let him through.
And just as she’s about to turn around and continue heading to her door, she hears Steve’s footsteps slow down, stalling near the top of the stairs.
“Hey Jess—make sure to stay hydrated, alright?” He calls out.
And despite the fact that every bone and muscle in her body had been aching from keeping herself upright all day, all that fades away at the sight of his smile, warmth tingling from her cheeks down to her toes.
“I will. Thanks, Steve.” She grins, watching as he disappears down the stairs with a wave.
The day after that is Saturday, which means that she gets to spend all day lounging around her house, ordering in for all three meals.
It also means that she’s scheduled for her weekly call from Fury.
She’s comfortably situated on her sofa, scrolling through the newest features on Netflix, when her burner phone lights up.
Nick, never one for small talk, gets straight to the point.
“Got any updates?”
She snorts, glancing over at her living room window, the shades half-drawn.
“Just the usual, Nick. Perimeter’s secure—whole building’s quieter than a church.”
“No one suspicious?”
“Nope.” She sighs, reaching forward for the tissue box on her coffee table.
“… hmm, except for that sweet old lady down the hall. Could be a Russian spy.”
She grins at the dead silence that rings out on the other end of the line, about to rub another sarcastic joke in Nick’s face before she hears a soft knock at her door.
She frowns, glancing at the clock—6:42. She had just put in an order for delivery at a local Korean place, and her doordash driver wasn’t supposed to get here for another half hour.
“There’s one more thing I’ve been meaning to as—
“—sorry, Nick, hold on. Someone’s at the door.”
Leaving the phone on the coffee table, she walks over to her door, frowning when there’s no one there on the other side.
Jutting her head outside, she takes a quick glance down the hallway—completely empty.
She’s just about to close the door and return to Nick’s call when her eyes catch a small plastic bag in front of her door, resting on the floor near her feet.
She bends down, squinting down at the bag—inside, she could spot the top of a small blue container with a paper note perched on top. She carefully reaches in, fishing out the note to find a handwritten message, neatly written in blue ink:
I hope this helps with the cold. Feel better soon! - Steve
She stands in front of her door for what seems like a full hour, eyes carefully tracing over Steve’s writing.
When she finally returns to her living room, carefully setting the bag down on the table, she’s tempted to peer inside at its contents. She decides against it, quickly snatching up the burner phone in fear of keeping Nick Fury on hold for too long.
“Hey, sorry, I’m back.” She sighs into the receiver, feeling out of breath somehow.
“Who was it?”
She pauses for a split second, pursing her lips.
“Just my dinner. Had something delivered. What were you saying?”
Fury shifts from the other end, his chair creaking in the background.
“Well, I was gonna ask about Rogers. He seem to be holding up?”
At those words, the image of Steve’s smile flashes across her mind, welcoming her to the building.
Moved around a couple times, but… Brooklyn’s always been home.
Her eyes trail over to the plastic bag sitting on her table, and she clears his throat.
“Uh, yeah, he seems… he seems fine here.”
“You two talk often?”
And though there’s no underlying edge to Fury’s tone that would suggest suspicion, her stomach jolts nervously.
“No, not really. Just saying hi every now and then.”
“Alright, well, I want you to keep surveilling the perimeters. Can’t ever be too careful. And keep an eye on that Russian spy.”
She smiles stiffly, the corners of her mouth weighed down by the growing uneasiness in her gut.
“Will do, boss.”
She clicks off the call, reaching for the bag on the table before she can even tuck the burner back into its usual place in her drawer.
Inside, she finds a small, cylindrical thermos.
As she lifts it out of the bag, she notices that the thermos is pretty hefty for its size, its mysterious contents sloshing around inside.
Brows furrowed, she twists open the top, and is immediately hit with a gust of warm steam and the aroma of… chicken noodle soup?
You’ve got to be shitting me.
The pizza after her breakup, and now this. It feels strange to think that she’d been the one assigned to protect Steve while he’s been looking out for her since day 1. It’s uncanny almost, how someone could care so much about a practical stranger. Neighbors, sure, but it had only been about a month since she’s moved in.
And, yeah, she gets the whole Captain America spiel. Not a perfect soldier, but a good man. Honest, loyal, courageous. All the qualities that made Erskine’s serum a grand success.
Yet, she realizes now that she’s barely known anything about Steve Rogers, the man who existed long before the red-white-and-blue shield.
The extent of his kindness. The nearly self-destructive acts of selflessness. The way he seems to forget, sometimes, that every single creature in the galaxy owes him their life.
He’d gladly lay down his own life for a stranger, and listen to her menial problems as if they mattered just as much as the existential threats he’s faced with on a daily basis.
Sitting cross-legged on her couch on an ordinary Saturday evening, clutching onto a warm bowl of chicken noodle soup in her lap, she wallows in her thoughts, a single question growing stronger and stronger in her head:
Steven Grant Rogers, who are you?

Winds of Kismet
Summary: When you decide to give up on love, the universe in all its infinite wisdom sends you a delectable smorgasbord of men to choose from. The question is now, who do you pick?
 Word Count: 2470
 Pairings: (Female Reader’s choice)
Warnings: Mild adult suggestions, mild swear words
A/N: This fic is going to be kind of like a make your own adventure story including guys from Supernatural, Marvel and DC in a kind of modern AU. At the end, you can pick your own ending!
After your most recent breakup, you decided that was it for you. No more dating, no more relationships. You truly thought you had meant it at the time you had made this declaration but little did you know that the universe had something planned for you. It started with your weekly girl’s night with your two best friends.
You were talking to the girls about your jerk of an ex and how you had given up on dating all together.
“I’m telling you, men aren’t worth the trouble,” you sighed, sipping on your cosmo.
“You could do what Harley did and get a girlfriend,” Nat suggested. “Speaking of which, how are things going with Ivy?”
“Pretty good, just wish she wouldn’t leave the seat up,” she smirked from behind the rim of her glass. “I’m just kidding… it’s usually me who leaves the seat up…”
This earned her a strange look from both you and Nat.
“What? How else is Bruce gonna stay hydrated?”
“You let your dog drink toilet water?” Nat questioned.
Harley shrugged and sipped her drink.
“Anyway, it’s not necessarily the guy. It’s about the relationship. I’d want a guy who’s giving, strong, down to earth, attentive to my needs… and if he’s not bad to look at, there’s a huge bonus,” you smiled to yourself.
“I know where you could find a guy like that but you’d have to search the adult sites,” Harley smirked, waggling her eyebrows suggestively.
You rolled your eyes, getting up in response to the knock on the door. There stood the pizza delivery guy, his shirt fitted nicely across his chest, his eyes sparkling green and a nametag with the word ‘Dean’.
“Did someone order the extra-large sausage?” he asked.
Naturally his question sent your two friends into a state of hysterics.
“Shut up!” you whined before turning back to the understandably confused delivery guy. “I’m sorry, we’ve had a few drinks…”
“It’s fine,” he smiled, making him look even more handsome if that were possible.
You gave him the correct order for the apartment, realising there had been a slight mistake. While he was searching, Harley threw a cushion at you.
 “Hey!”
“You should totally ask him out!” Harley encouraged.
“She’s right, Y/N. Ask him out,” Nat agreed.
 “I don’t know…”
Dean finally found your order and as you were paying, Harley came up beside you and put her arm around you.
“Hey, my friend Y/N here thinks your cute. Can you give her your number so she can call you sometime?” Harley grinned.
You were absolutely mortified. Instead of laughing at you, Dean looked you up and down before smiling.
 “Sure,” he chuckled.
“Here’s her phone!” Nat replied, giving Dean the device.
“Nat! Wait, how did you get my phone unlocked?”
“I know your password,” she said with a dismissive wave of her hand.
You didn’t get a chance to respond as Dean handed your phone back.
“I hope to hear from you soon, Y/N,” he smirked with a wink.
With that, he headed off to make his next delivery.
 “You two…” you began.
Your friends laughed as you scolded them. The rest of the night was spent talking about Dean and the doors it could open up.
The following day brought temptation in the form of a handyman. You weren’t exactly sure what happened but you woke in stifling heat. After fiddling with your thermostat for longer than you cared to admit to, you finally called the building handyman. Fortunately, it didn’t take too long for him to arrive. When you saw him, your breath hitched in your throat. He had sandy blond hair and was dressed in a plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, jeans and a toolbelt slung low on his hips.
“Hey. I heard it was a little hot in here…”
You stood there opened mouthed for a few seconds before inviting him in and showing him the problem.
“I see you’ve done some tinkering,” he commented as he set to work.
“Yeah, I tried to fix it but hitting while screaming ‘Work you bastard’, wasn’t helping…”
The handyman chuckled, and you suddenly felt very hot; a heat that had nothing to do with the broken thermostat.
“I’m Y/N, by the way,” you sighed, rubbing the back of your neck.
“Clint,” he replied, never taking his eyes off his work.
You in turn, couldn’t take your eyes off him. His face was calm and focused and beads of perspiration were starting to break out on his forehead.
“I’m sorry, can I get you something to drink?” you asked.
 “Nah, I’m good. I’m almost done here…”
With a few final tweaks, he had the thing fixed.
“There,” he smiled, wiping his forehead with his arm.
“Thank you so much. I think I finally understand how a roast feels,” you joked.
“Good thing you didn’t mess it up too bad,” Clint playfully teased. “I’ll be seeing you around…”
 “See you…”
You secretly hoped more things in your apartment would break.
Later in the day, you were returning from running errands when you noticed a lot of boxes stacked around the apartment across the hall from you. You knew the previous tenant had moved out a while ago and they mostly kept to themselves. It might be nice to meet your new neighbour. When the man who you assumed owned the apartment walked out to collect another box, you definitely decided to would be nice to meet your new neighbour. He was wearing a white t-shirt that barely contained the sculpted body beneath and tight jeans. Steeling yourself, you went over to give him a proper greeting.
“Hi, I’m Y/N. I guess you’re my new neighbour,” you smiled.
The man tucked the box he was holding under his arm and extended his hand.
“Hi, I’m Clark. Clark Kent. I just moved here from Metropolis,” he smiled back.
“Nice to meet you Clark,” you replied, shaking his hand and trying to keep your cool but internally freaking out.
“Could I take you out for coffee sometime? It would be my way of welcoming you to the building.
“I’d really like that, Y/N. I just need to get my stuff sorted but I’ll see you some other time, okay?”
 “Sure. I’ll see you later…”
Clark gave you another dazzling smile and headed into his apartment with his box, leaving you feeling just as flustered as ever.
Work provided no less distractions. When you got to work on Monday, you were moping over the loss of your assistant. She was one of the best ones you ever had but when she was offered a better position, you knew you had to do what was best for her and let her move on. You were working at your desk when your thoughts were interrupted by a handsome, cleanshaven man in a navy-blue suit.
“Hi, you must be looking for the modelling agency. They’re on the floor above us…”
 The man laughed softly.
“I’m actually here as your new assistant,” he said, giving you his letter of recommendation from your last assistant. “My name is Steve Rogers.”
 “You… you’re my new assistant?”
You were stunned. What kind of sick joke was the universe playing on you by giving you not two, not three but four good looking guys in such a short amount of time?
“Yes. You were expecting me today, right?” he asked, looking a little concerned.
It took you a few moments to find your words again.
“I was. Sorry, I guess I’m still just… thinking about my last assistant…”
It wasn’t entirely a lie. You were thinking about how you were going to get by without her but now… Now you were thinking about you were going to get any work done with such an attractive man working for you.
“Shall we get started? I’ve already taken the liberty of getting you a coffee to the specifications on my list…”
Numbly, you took the cup from Steve, taking a sip of the hot beverage and finding it to indeed be exactly how you liked it.
 “Thank you, Steve. Let’s begin.”
You were very grateful by the time Friday rolled around. Steve was proven to be an excellent assistant. He was very capable and performed every task you required of him but you found it very hard to keep focused on your work when you were around him. It didn’t help that throughout the week, you had a few more run-ins with Clint the handyman and your new neighbour Clark. You were hanging out with Nat again at a bar and relaying your issues to her but she was less than sympathetic.
“Oh, boohoo, poor Y/N. I have all these good-looking guys after me, I can eat all the ice cream I want and never gain weight and all the clothes I own always fit me perfectly every time. Please,” she scoffed, tossing back her drink and ordering another.
You were about to retort when you heard a deep chuckle coming from the chair beside you.
 “What are you-”
The question died on your lips as you got a good look at the guy. He had eyes like a stormy sea and long, wild hair.
“Un-freaking- believable,” Nat muttered under her breath
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to listen in. It’s not often I hear about a complaint like that,” the handsome stranger smirked.
“It’s not so much a complaint it’s just… For a while, all I seemed to date were losers and jerks… you know, the kind of guy who thinks if he pays for dinner that entitles him to a free ride, you know?”
 “Sure,” he nodded.
“I just thought if I took a break from dating… I’m sorry, listen to me info dumping on a stranger. I’m Y/N, by the way…”
“Arthur Curry,” he replied, shaking your hand.
You sat with Arthur for most of the night (much to Nat’s annoyance) and got to know him quite well. By the end of the night, you exchanged numbers.
As you left with Nat, you could feel her glaring at you.
 “What?”
 “The guy…”
“Who, Arthur? He’s nice, but… Look, Nat, I still don’t know. Yeah, it’s fun looking at all these men but… I don’t know if I’m really ready to start dating again. I… I’m scared to let myself fall in love… I don’t want to get hurt again…”
Nat gave you a sympathetic smile and hugged you.
“It’s okay to be happy, Y/N. Everything you went through has made you stronger and will help you find the warning signs sooner in the future…”
 “I really hope you’re right, Nat…”
“Of course, I am! Now, let’s get an Uber and we can head back to your place… maybe order a pizza?” she grinned.
You rolled your eyes at the implication but smiled anyway.
Your day off provided two more potential options. The first was in the form of a delivery guy. You had been waiting for something you ordered to arrive when there was finally the knock you had been waiting for. The delivery guy was tall with broad shoulders, supple wavy hair and deep brown eyes that you could practically swim in. His nametag read ‘Sam’.
“Hi, I have a large package for Y/N?” he said.
You knew if Nat and Harley were here they would barley be able to breathe from all the laughing they would do.
“I’m, Y/N,” you said, feeling heat rise to your face.
Sam presented his clipboard for you to sign before allowing you to collect your item. He stood a moment in thought.
“You didn’t happen to meet my brother Dean a while ago, did you?” he asked.
“That depends if he delivers pizzas or not,” you replied.
“That’s him. He mentioned you when he came home that night. Listen, I’m sorry if he annoyed you or anything. He can be quite flirty when it comes to women…”
“It’s fine. My friend giving him my number however…”
 “Oh…”
 Sam looked a little disappointed.
“But that’s just my friends trying to be helpful! In their own weird way… I’m not really the kind of girl who goes on a lot of dates…” you sighed looking down.
“Forgive me if I’m being too forward but would it be alright if I gave you my number? I think I would like to get to know you…”
“I think I would like that too, Sam,” you smiled.
Sam returned your smiled and put his number into your phone.
 “I’ll see you again, sometime…”
With that, he left to make more deliveries.
That afternoon, you went to the gym like you normally would. Today you would be working with a new personal trainer. Your friend Jane swore by this guy and by the way her arms had been toning up, he must have been good.
“Hello, are you Y/N?” a deep male voice asked.
You were not prepared for the spectacle that was your trainer. Long, golden locks pulled back into a ponytail and his bulging arms looked like they could barley fit into a t-shirt. He looked almost godlike.
“Yes, I’m Y/N. Are you Thor?”
 “Indeed. Shall we begin?”
Thor started you off with some basic stretches to loosen you up and you found it exceedingly difficult to concentrate every time he touched you to correct your positioning, all the while asking your permission to do so beforehand. Next, he moved into a light warmup, praising you whenever you kept up a decent pace with him. By the end of the workout, you were covered in sweat while he was barely glowing.
“You did very well today,” Thor smiled, helping you to your feet.
“Thanks. I try to get a little workout in and I guess I wanted to step up my game a little,” you panted.
“Shall I see you again soon?” he asked.
“Yeah, see you soon,” you smiled.
At this point, you were beginning to question yourself. Were you really the kind of girl to go out with a different guy every day of the week? Well, technically, some of them were strictly professional but could they be more? You remembered Nat’s words telling you that it was okay to be happy.
 So… who do you pick?

DC x Marvel Fic Recs
@jas-per11 @letthedeadghostrest
Hello! I saw your post, and I've been meaning to rec some DC x Marvel fics anyways, so I'll do that here. I don't know what you've read, so I'll start with
Peter Parker / DC Series:
The Dark Matter Multiverse Series by @mysterycyclone
Dark Matter is the blueprint for most Peter Parker / DC fics, and it's also fucking fantastic. If you're reading a crossover and don't understand why, without explanation, Peter is talking to ghosts? Why he by default ends up living in a firehouse? Read Dark Matter.
Spider and Bat Friends Series by @emmacortana
So far, 12 well written and hilarious works from my all-time favorite author, Miss emmacortana. This, coming from someone with over 1,500 bookmarks. She's that good.
Bitsy and The Bats Series Series by @wibbwoby
Haven't read this one in a while, so I don't have much to say, but Rated T for Traumatized is an absolute classic.
Pizzaverse Series by Irisen
A heavier read, wherein Peter tries to keep his job, make rent, and has a lot of unfortunate run-ins with Gotham's rogues.
Peter & The BatBoys (Doctor AU) Series by @thepoppypress
Peter is the Wayne family's doctor. He has a... chaotic time. I've only read Part 1, but I am still including this here because it's a series.
Peter Parker needs a hug (From the BatFamily) Series by @true-blue-fool
Shorter fics about Peter bonding with the Batfamily. Part 3 is especially cute.
Spider and Bats Series by @superklutzkent
Peter Parker whump, featuring the Batfam. All of the whump.
Let's take a break and look at some DC x Marvel fics that DON'T feature Peter:
Steve Rogers: Man out of Time and Place Series by RavenclawAngel
After Civil War, Steve gets exiled to DCs earth and builds a new team.
from the nucleus flight Series by @blackkatmagic
Khonshu whisks (Comic) Moon Knight away to DC. Very well written and passionate. If it's not your thing, don't let the Bruce Wayne/Marc Spector tag dissuade you from reading; since it's unfinished, the ship hasn't happened yet, and it's too good of a fic to miss out on.
The Devil's in Gotham (Remastered) by @prince-link13
Matt Murdock moves to Gotham and befriends Jason Todd, his neighbor. Bruce Wayne/Matt Murdock
Marvel/DC Crossovers Series by @bamboozled-and-alone
What it says on the tin. My favorite, part 2, is Matt Murdock taking care of Damian Wayne.
Echolocation Series by Firecat23
Matt Murdock and the bats; though, part 6 does have Team Red, meaning Peter.
Back to our regularly scheduled programming:
Peter Parker slash fics:
Cassandra Cain/Peter Parker
Along Came a Spider Series by @rags-n-bones
Quiet Respite by @faeriekit
I'm not too far in this one yet, but it's Faeriekit, so it's bound to be good.
Peter Parker/Tim Drake, affectionately called redspider
a shining spider web by Selador
Needling by LaughingFreak
How dimension travel can lead to love. Series by Psychic_Queen05
My current Favorite Ongoing Peter Parker / DC Crossovers:
The Ones Burnt by This_is_lovin
After the events of No Way Home, Dr. Strange's magic sends Peter to Gotham. He wakes up in another boy's body, and has to deal with the consequences. Part one just ended with a bang, you all should be there for part two, it's gonna be awesome.
Arachnomaly by @songue85
The (Comic) Amazing Spider-Man, being neighborly in Gotham. Plus some sick art from the author.
time flies by (bye) by WHYISEVERYNAMETAKEN
Two difficult years after No Way Home, Peter ends up in Gotham, but with a whole lot of introspection. One chapter left; you better be there.
All of the rest, that didn't fit in the prior categories:
Unforeseen Consequences by @mysterycyclone
Gotta Get to Rock Bottom! by @emmacortana
Read the initial notes first.
Set Naked on Your Kingdom by sassydandelion
Peter's Gotham Debut by BlankGeode, Leeavy
This Was Home by @emmacortana
The Peter Parker Theory by nicfics
and even though we are strange and exquisitely scarred by Wingfeather6913
What happens in New York by @violent138
A Long Way From Home (And No Way Back) by Vivia_wants_boba
Ignorance is Death by No_idea_what_Im_doing_lmaooo
One Dead Spider by Miellonek
If you do check out any of these fics, always leave a comment. Authors love those, it’s like catnip to them.
