Gentle reminder that in the mcu:
Timelines = Universes
They’re the same thing. Every time someone makes a new decision, a new timeline/universe is created. Thats why there’s an infinite & ever-growing number of them.
But, connotation-wise, travelling to a different universe usually only means moving through space to get to that universe in the present moment. Travelling to timelines usually means moving through space and time to get to a universe at any point in its past, present, or future.
Multiverse = all timelines/universes put together

Can I be him?
Summary: When Bucky finds something of yours, he hopes against hope that you feel the same way about him.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Enhanced!Fem!Reader
Warnings: Language cause it's me. Fluff. A lot of angst. Idiots in love. Self-deprecating thoughts, both reader and Bucky. No use of Y/N. My poor attempts at being funny.
Word Count: 4.8K
A/N: It’s 3am where I live, so… Happy 107th Birthday to my favorite Supersoldier! Today I’m posting 2 Bucky fics because my baby deserves it, this one and another one sometime around the afternoon. Hope someone likes it! Thank you to my angels @ordelixx and @mrsbuckybarnes1917 that gave me so many ideas that helped me finish this. I love you🖤

Being an Avenger is not easy.
The long missions, the intense training, the weight of the world on your shoulders…
Everybody on the team has a different way to unwind after a mission: Steve draws, Clint and Natasha compete doing target practice, Thor sleeps, Sam plays video games, Bucky takes motorcycle rides, Tony and Bruce work on side projects in their lab, Loki reads, Peter does his homework and Wanda cooks with Vision.
For you, it’s going to the rose garden behind the Compound.
It’s a bit of a sanctuary for you, Tony allowed you to put tall hedges of roses with a gazebo-like structure in the middle of them facing the lake, only it’s entirely made of vines.
You made it yourself, that’s your power: you can manipulate anything plant-related.
Everytime you finish a mission the team splits up as soon as the debriefing is over and you walk straight here.
You sit on the bench, also made of vines, take out your diary and start writing.
You write about everything, from details of missions to your feelings about the team. From things you did that you don’t want to forget to things that you want to do after you’re not so tired anymore.
The hedges hide you from view and the only thing you can see when you’re here is the lake.
Sometimes, after a particular difficult mission, you don’t even write. You just sit there and look out into the water, the sunshine or moonlight shining down on you, and you feel at peace.
It helps that nobody else ever comes here. The team understands it’s your safe space, and the agents are mostly scared of your powers ever since you grew a giant carnivorous plant and it bit an agent that squeezed your ass during training.
The agent got both taken to the medbay and suspended on the same day, and you got the thanks of about a dozen girls that had the same problem with the same asshole.
You walk out of the conference room, the debriefing of the team’s latest mission just wrapped up, and like usual everyone scatters to their own after-mission ritual.
Today, though, you can’t concentrate on anything.
Your feet take you to the rose garden by reflex, but your brain doesn’t even register you’re there until you sit on the bench.
Today’s mission took a lot out of you, not just because of the amount of magic you had to use to get everyone out safely, but also because it was your fault the team was in so much danger in the first place.
You fucked up your task, Natasha had to step in and save your ass, moving away from her post and making her late for her own task and that derailed the entire mission.
At the end, you had to use your powers to take out the hundreds of Hydra agents at the same time, which is no small feat and made you almost pass out.
Everybody told you on the way home not to worry, the mission was successfully accomplished and everyone made it out safely, but you know that if it wasn’t for your screw up the team would’ve gotten in and out of base without so much as a scratch.
Nobody had fatal injuries, thank God, but Sam got shot in the leg, Clint got stabbed and everyone else had various degrees of injuries because Hydra got the jump on the team.
Because of me.
That was all you kept thinking about. Your brain had a field day making up all kinds of scenarios where your mistake cost someone’s life, a few of them even had the entire team dying because of your stupidity.
You were so caught up in your head that you didn’t even notice someone following you to the rose garden.
Not that you ever do.
If there’s one thing Bucky Barnes knows how to do, is move around undetected. He’s a master assassin, he was trained for this for over 50 years, he knows how to be a shadow.
Except now he uses his skills for good during missions and, occasionally, to follow you.
Not in a creepy way, of course, just to check on you. At least that’s the excuse he always uses so he won’t have to admit to himself that what he does is, indeed, a little creepy.
But he can’t help himself, Bucky knew from the moment he saw you that he was fucked.
The moment you walked into the room to meet the team his heart was yours. You stole it with one simple smile, with one look of your beautiful eyes.
You introduced yourself and shook hands with everyone, but when you looked at Bucky he felt like a light came on and it was just you two.
You shook his hand and he felt like he had to take it off and give it to you, it was yours now. His hand, his arm, his leg, his head, his heart, his soul. Everything he is was now yours, he just knew it.
Then you said his name and he could’ve died right there and then. It was the sweetest sound he’d ever heard, and it was barely two syllables. Every word you said, every laugh and sound that came out of your pretty mouth, Bucky felt like it was all for him. Nobody else mattered.
Bucky knew then he was in love.
But he didn’t know how to approach you. You were like a fairy, like a princess. Growing flowers, always smiling, baking, growing everyone’s favorite flowers and always willing to help, like growing Aloe when Wanda burned herself cooking, or Chamomile to help with Tony’s anxiety, or Valerian roots whenever someone was feeling down.
You were like sunshine and he was terrified he’d kill your light. But he’d be damned if he’d let the world kill it either, he’d protect you with his life.
So he took to following you, making sure you were safe from a distance.
But it’s not like he never talked to you, the more time you spent with the team the more comfortable Bucky got around you and eventually you became friends.
Bucky knew you could take care of yourself, you were one of the strongest members of the team, but he didn’t like it when you were in your rose garden by yourself. The tall hedges made it impossible to see incoming danger, so he kept an eye on you just to be sure.
For his own piece of mind. And you never saw him.
That was Bucky’s actual way to unwind after a mission.
He’d tell everybody he was going for a ride on his bike, but he’d drive it through the woods around the compound and to the other side of the lake where he’d have a perfect view of you without you knowing.
Deep down he knew it was a little creepy, he could just ask you if he could join you, but he felt like you needed your time alone without anyone else around, and he knew if he asked you, you’d say yes no matter what you were feeling, because that’s just the kind of person you are.
So Bucky watched you from afar, always careful not to be seen. He watched you write for hours, it relaxed him to see your beautiful face so concentrated.
Sometimes you’d laugh quietly at what you were writing and those were the only times Bucky was grateful for the supersoldier serum that allowed him to hear such a beautiful sound even with so much distance between you.
But it was torture for him when he knew you had a bad day. Sometimes you’d hug your knees and cry, Bucky could tell how much you’d need a hug, and it killed him that he couldn’t just walk up to you and hug you.
Everytime he sees you cry his heart breaks a little and he always tries to make you feel better when you walk back inside. He doesn’t ask you what’s wrong, he just tries to make you laugh. But all he wanted to do was dry your tears.
You did notice Bucky always seemed to act a little goofy when you're feeling down, like he somehow knew, but you never thought much of it.
You knew he was a very observant person, so you assumed he just saw your mood through your behavior better than most.
Bucky loves hanging out with you, even if it’s just as friends. You make fun of him like with everyone else, you don’t treat him like could explode at any moment, never walking on eggshells around him like most people do.
You’ve never been afraid of him, and he’s glad that you don’t treat him like glass. You treat him like everyone else, and it makes him feel normal.
Everytime time he hangs out with you, you take him back to a time where he was unbroken. You make him feel alive again.
And he falls more in love with you by the second because of it. You’re all he wants, he wants to have you and kiss your lips and never let anyone hurt you. That’s all he can think about, but he knows that’s not gonna happen.
He heard you talk to Natasha and Wanda, heard that there’s someone you’d gone on a few dates with. But Bucky knows that guy doesn’t deserve you, nobody does.
Even Bucky himself doesn’t deserve you, you’re too pure for anyone in this world, but if there’s someone that has any chance of making you happy, Bucky prays to God that that someone is him.
Bucky knows today’s mission shook you deeply. He knows you blame yourself, and no amount of reassurance will make you believe that everything is okay.
So today, for the first time, Bucky actually follows you. He can see your unfocused eyes even as you walk and he wants to be near you, just in case.
He almost walks to you when you curl up on the bench and start sobbing quietly, but he holds back not wanting to startle or upset you further.
He just listens to your soft cries until you stop and compose yourself. You sigh and get up, walking back to the Compound to take a much needed relaxing shower.
But you’re still so much in your own head that you don’t even notice you left your diary on the bench in the gazebo.
Bucky did notice, though.
He’s tempted to call after you and tell you, but something deep down tells him not to. He waits until you’re gone and then walks to the bench, picking up your diary and opening it.
He doesn’t know why, he knows it’s wrong, these are your private thoughts, but he’s just drawn to it for some reason.
When he starts reading he notices you don’t mention any specific names, which makes sense because only you read it, you know who you’re writing about. He reads a page here and there, reading about your missions or lazy days.
He reads about some memories with the team you wrote about, some he remembers and others he probably wasn’t there for, but seeing all these memories from your point of view does something to him.
It makes him feel connected to you, makes him feel like he’s reading your heart and soul, because he kind of is. Then he reads something that captures his attention completely.
You write about eyes blue like the ocean and just as troubled, about a smile that could light up the world. You write about someone with a complicated past that never lost his spark, never lost his love for life.
A man that went through hell, and never once took it out on the world. A man that didn’t ever blame the world, even when he had every right to, choosing instead to protect it.
You filled pages and pages with everything you admire about this man, everything you love about him that you know he hates.
And Bucky feels like every word you wrote, you wrote for him. But could this be him? Could he be the one you talk about in all your stories?
He wants to. He wants this to be him. He prays you’re talking about him. He wishes this could be him… Who is he kidding?
Of course it’s not me.
It’s probably the guy you’ve been dating. Yeah, that’s it. You’re in love with that guy, that much is clear.
Bucky gets to the page where you write about your dates with the guy, but he can’t read them.
He closes the diary, not knowing that you compared your date to Bucky every step of the way. Not knowing that you granted the guy a second date just to be sure he couldn’t compare to Bucky, and went on a third date at a coffee shop just to let him down gently.
Bucky didn’t read how you know he’s the one for you, he didn’t read his own name written in your handwriting, the only name in your whole diary because he’s the only person you never want to forget, even though you know you never will.
But Bucky didn’t read that.
He puts your diary back where it was on the bench and, with his heart broken and his hope that one day you could be his lost, he goes back inside and to his room.
It’s only when you go back to the rose garden after your shower that you notice you left your diary there, but don’t think much of it. Nobody ever comes here anyway, as far as you know.
After finding out you’re in love with someone else, Bucky can’t stop himself from acting differently towards you, which you don’t fail to notice.
It’s not like he’s mean, but your interactions get shorter, like he tries his best to end the conversation quickly.
He no longer sits close to you, no longer tries to make you laugh when you’re feeling down, doesn’t hang out with you as much during your down time and if he does, it’s never just the two of you anymore.
It’s silly to say, but you miss him.
Bucky knows he’s been distancing himself, he knows you’ve noticed and he can see it’s affecting you, but he’s doing this to protect himself.
He knows it’s only a matter of time before you present your boyfriend to the team, the man you’re in love with and he doesn’t want it to hurt more than necessary.
You decide not to push Bucky, knowing he has his reasons to pull away from you. Maybe he’s just trying to deal with all the stress the team’s been under and you don’t want to add any more to that, so you let him be.
A few weeks later the team’s on their sixth mission in just as many days and everyone is exhausted. You’ve been taking down Hydra base after Hydra base, because waiting too long meant losing your chance to shut down their operations for good before they got the opportunity to leave.
You’ve been dividing in smaller teams to take down the bases while still giving the team a chance to recuperate, but this last one was the biggest and required the whole team together, which sucked for you because you were in the last team with Steve and Bucky that took down a base just yesterday, so the three of you got barely a few hours of sleep while you flew to the last base.
You’ve cleared the base, all that’s left is the agents in the courtyard who are really going down fighting. The whole team is outside now, the Hydra agents giving you a hell of a fight. You’re using your magic against your better judgment, giant vines coming out of your arms like whips, covered in poisonous thorns. One touch of that and anyone would go down immediately, everyone except you.
Or at least that’s what you think.
As you’re fighting you can see an agent trying to sneak up on Bucky who’s fighting near you, so you quickly take care of it for him.
Bucky turns around and sees the agent down and then looks at you with that charming smile you fell in love with and winks at you. “Thank you, doll.”
That’s the friendliest Bucky’s been towards you in weeks and you can’t help but smile back with a small blush.
You can see the last agent standing coming at you from your peripheral vision and you quickly whip him with a vine, taking him down as soon as you can so you can turn back to look at Bucky, still smiling at you.
Bucky’s smile drops quickly, though, as he sees your face draining of any color. You barely have the time to register the sting of your own thorn on your arm that you’re already falling to the ground.
Bucky tries to catch you, but he gets thrown back by your magic that goes into defense mode, creating a wall of thorns to protect your now unconscious body.
The team doesn't know what to do, none of them know enough about plants to be sure that these thorns wouldn’t just kill them all.
The only one that would know that is you, the person that’s passed out, or worse, trapped in the midst of a cocoon of thorns.
“Okay, we need to find a safe way to-” Steve starts but cuts himself off almost immediately. “What are you doing?!”
Bucky doesn’t even turn around to answer, too intent on breaking the thorns around you with his metal arm, not caring that the thorns are ripping his clothes and scratching his face, all he can think about is getting to you.
He finally manages to get through to you, but nobody can follow because your magic regrows the thorns Bucky broke, trapping him with you inside the cocoon.
But Bucky doesn’t care, his eyes never leaving your face as he kneels behind you, running a finger softly along your cheek and shivering when he feels your skin is cold as ice.
His mind goes to the worst possibility, that there’s nothing he can do, but his brain gives him some hope reasoning that your magic wouldn’t be working if you were dead.
Right?
He snaps out of his thoughts when he feels the thorns around you vibrate, he takes you in his arms and shields you with his body from whatever is about to happen.
But the only thing that happens is the shade cast by the thorns gets replaced by sunlight. Bucky looks up and realizes Wanda used her magic to lift the thorn cocoon.
“You couldn’t have done that before?!” Bucky barks at Wanda with a glare while carefully picking you up to take you to the Quinjet.
“She’s not the dumbass that threw himself headfirst in a mess of thorns without even considering another course of action!” Natasha came in Wanda’s defense, though she seemed more amused at Bucky’s antics than annoyed.
As the team heads back home in the jet, Bruce examines you and lets the team know you’re still alive but in a sort of coma.
Their relief is cut short when Bruce makes it known that he has no idea when, or if, you’ll wake up.
As soon as the Quinjet lands you’re taken to the medbay and hooked up to machines, an IV in your arm to keep you hydrated.
Bucky holds your hand through it all, staying all night next to you just in case you wake up. He didn’t want you to be freaked out and alone, he wanted to be the first person to see your beautiful eyes open.
When morning comes, though, you’re still unconscious, but Bucky doesn’t lose hope. You probably need a good sleep.
That’s what he tells himself for two, three, four days.
That’s what he keeps telling himself for a week, two weeks. Never once leaving your side, not eating unless Steve brings him food and makes sure he eats before leaving, and using the bathroom of your room in the medbay.
He barely sleeps and, when he does, he dreams of you.
Everyone was getting worried about him, he refused to leave your side until one day Steve came into your room to tell Bucky there was something wrong with your rose garden.
Bucky was torn between staying with you and seeing what Steve was talking about, but decided that it would kill you if something happened to your roses so he had to make sure everything was okay when you woke up.
Because you’re going to wake up.
Bucky follows Steve to your rose garden, and his eyes widen in horror as soon as he sees it. The roses, the hedges, the vines.
Everything is dying.
Bucky’s heart breaks, only one thought in his mind. If your plants are dying, does that mean you’re slowly dying too?
No. That’s unacceptable. You’re not gonna die, not if Bucky has anything to do with it.
He takes it upon himself to take care of your garden, watering it and doing everything he can to keep the roses and vines alive, fooling himself into believing that this will keep you alive.
He stays on the gazebo day and night, sleeping on the bench, spending every waking moment trying to keep a hold of even the smallest part of you.
But it’s not enough. Nothing is enough.
Bucky loses track of how many days he’s been in your garden, sleeping maybe an hour at a time here and there, watering the roses every few hours and crying the rest of the time.
After all it’s his fault, if he hadn’t distracted you none of this would’ve happened. You’d be in your beautiful garden, probably with your boyfriend, and the only broken thing would be Bucky’s heart.
That he could’ve lived with.
But how can he live with the knowledge that he caused your end? That he killed your light? That he killed his sunshine, his hope, the love of his life? He can’t live with that.
Not that he has to.
While Bucky’s spiraling while surrounded by dying roses, inside your room in the medbay you’re finally waking up after almost a month.
You open your eyes slowly, looking around you at the hospital-like room. There’s nobody around and, as you look at the window, you can see it’s really late at night.
You sit up and try to make sense of what happened while rubbing your eyes. The last thing you remember is Bucky’s bright smile, and then nothing.
You look down at your arm and see an IV, which you take out while frowning. How long have you been sleeping?
You carefully get off the bed and make your way outside to your rose garden, just to be sure everything’s okay. It’s not like anyone’s gonna stop you anyway.
When you get close, the moonlight shines on the hedges and you gasp at what you see. Your beautiful roses withering away, the gazebo made of vines dying too.
But the most confusing thing is the sobs coming from the bench, although no one’s sitting on it.
You get closer and see Bucky sitting in front of the bench while hugging his knees and crying softly. You frown and get a little closer before stopping, not wanting to startle him.
“Bucky…” You say quietly and his head snaps up, his eyes instantly meeting yours.
For a moment it feels like he’s trying to decide if you’re real, he reaches out and you extend your hand to take his. That seems to convince him and he gasps.
“Doll…” His voice is barely above a whisper, almost as if he thinks if he makes too much noise you’ll disappear.
“What’s wrong?” You ask him while getting a little closer to him, concern clear in your every feature.
It’s only when you get closer that you see his face full of cuts and you frown. Those are not just any scratches, it’s clear to you that they were made by thorns. “D-did… Did I do this to you?”
You’re kneeling in front of him now, one hand still in his one the other comes up to trace the cuts in his face softly, but he takes your hand in his and kisses your palm.
“I’m okay…” He reassures you.
Just then he realizes, you’re fussing over him when you’re the one that’s been in a coma for a month. “Are you okay? How long have you been awake?”
“I… I just woke up.” You tell him honestly, then look around at the dying roses and vines before looking back at him. “What happened to me?”
“You got stung by one of your poisonous thorns.” He says quietly, his thumbs rubbing circles on your skin while he refuses to let go of you. “You’ve been unconscious for almost a month.”
“A month?!” You’re shocked at the news, not knowing what to say or do, so you just stay there while letting the information sink in. The silence is broken by Bucky after a minute.
“I’m sorry about your roses… I tried to keep them alive, but…” He looks around with a hopeless expression. “I failed you.”
Your heart breaks a little. Does he really think he failed you?
You take a deep breath, then close your eyes and when you open them again a second later everything’s back to normal. The roses are as beautiful as ever, the gazebo just as majestic. It’s like nothing ever happened.
Bucky looks around in awe when he feels you take his chin and you make him look at you.
“You could never fail me.” You say firmly, wanting him to understand you mean it. You look at the cuts around his face and you can’t help the guilt and pain that you feel deep within you. “I’m sorry…”
“It wasn’t your fault.” It’s like Bucky can read your thoughts, he knows all you can see are your faults, and he wants you to know he doesn’t blame you for anything. “You weren’t even conscious. You have nothing to be sorry for.”
“I never wanted to be one of the people that hurt you…” Your voice is a whisper as a tear escapes you. “The world hurt you so much already… I never wanted to be part of that. You don’t deserve it.”
Bucky frowns. He feels like he’s heard those words, but where? No, he didn’t hear them. He read them. He read them in your diary, where you wrote about the man you’re in love with. Could it be possible?
Could I be him?
“It’s me…” He says lower than a whisper, his eyes locked on yours, and it’s your time to be confused now.
“What?” You ask him with a frown while wiping your cheeks.
“It’s me you’re in love with.” His voice is a little louder, but firm. He’s not asking you, he’s making a statement.
Your eyes widen in surprise, you almost take your hands away from his but his hold prevents you from doing that.
“I-I… What?” Is all you can bring yourself to say, confused as to why he’s so sure of it. Are you really that transparent?
“I read your diary…” Bucky says, guilt written all over his face, but at least he’s owning up to it. “You wrote about the man you love… and you wrote the same thing you just told me. It’s me, isn’t it? You love me back?” His voice is more hopeful now, his confident demeanor weavering.
“You… You read my diary?” You say, your mind still playing catch up.
It’s only a moment later that you register the ‘love me back’ and you don’t give him a chance to apologize or justify himself before you’re speaking again. “You love me?!”
Bucky hesitates a moment but nods firmly. “I love you, doll. I’ve loved you since the moment I met you.”
You feel like someone punched you and all the air has left your body. You have no idea what to say, so you don’t say anything.
Instead you lean in and kiss him.
Bucky wastes no time kissing you back, but a thought pops into his mind and he reluctantly pulls back. “What about your boyfriend?”
“Boyfriend?” You frown again, having no idea what he’s talking about. “I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“You don’t?” Bucky feels like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders and he pulls you to straddle him. “What about the guy you went on a few dates with?”
You narrow your eyes at him but decide to table the conversation about how he knows that for another time, so you smile at him and decide to just be honest with him.
“Do you honestly think that anyone could ever measure up to you? Because if you do, you’re an idiot.” Bucky grins and kisses you again.
Maybe he is an idiot. But when he’s the idiot you’re in love with, how much of an idiot can he really be?
It looks like he can be him after all.

To follow up with a more positive post from my ‘top 5 dumbest criticisms debunked’ here’s a list of adorable and well-thought-out details from Thor: Love and Thunder, which, while not that difficult to spot, I appreciated even more the second time round.
- The costume department made Tessa Thompson at least four different perfectly tailored suits for approximately eight seconds of footage. Was it a waste of fabric? Absolutely not.
- Jane isn’t just a sci-fi nerd for reeling off films that explain wormholes well, her Halloween costume in the montage is Ash from Alien, post chest-burster scene.
- Thor has Nick Fury’s contact saved to his phone as ‘Nick Furry’ which will never not be funny to me.
- Was giving Dwayne a mustache when Kronans have absolutely no capacity to grow facial-hair an absolutely ridiculous decision that some poor vfx artist should have been sacked over? Absolutely. But it was also a really nice callback to Taika’s childhood Freddie Mercury obsession, so jot that down.
- That poor guy who got hit in the face when a certain cape was flung for dramatic emphasis has my sympathies.
- The little broken heart next to Thor’s ‘RIP Loki’ tattoo was hilarious and tragic at the same time.
- It was definitely ‘bring your daughter to work day’ on set, I’ve already seen plenty of people remarking on the adorableness of Chris Hemsworth’s kidlet, but both of Taika’s daughters were among the stolen Asgardian kids and were apparently really mean to Christian Bale.
- Despite having all the trappings of a family-friendly film you get multiple ‘oh shit’ lines, though it feels entirely appropriate to the tone of the scenes, there are also at least two references to a mass orgy held on a regular basis in Omnipotent City.
- All of the snacks in the vending machine Thor breaks are region-appropriate, which pleased me as someone who grew up only getting to eat that stuff in Finland or on family trips to IKEA and ngl, if I was having to pay like 2-3 euros for a pack of Marabou or some salmiakki, and I had super-strength, I’d probably just smash the thing too.
- Glad to see independent theatre is still thriving in New Asgard, but the irony of Valkyrie being very done with the two actors while wearing a Phantom of the Opera t-shirt was not lost on me. Her being a closet theatre-kid seems pretty on-brand.
- Sif still being a badass sword-fighter with only one arm (why is that such a common injury in the MCU?)
- Idk why, but the scene on the boat where the straight half of the crew are outside doing straight things while Korg and Valkyrie are propping up the bar, drinking and discussing being gay felt... weirdly relatable. If that isn’t how you and your friends end up at the tail-end of a house-party don’t @ me.
- It seemed a really odd choice at first to have a film with three semi-sentient weapons that have their own personalities and a fourth that’s just kind of there, but in hindsight it’s also hilarious. Stormbreaker’s got beef with Thor and Mjolnir and the Necrosword parallel each other beautifully (both are slowly killing the person that wields them, but the motives are polar opposites) so I kept waiting for the thunderbolt to have some whole hidden agenda of its own, but no, it was the only cool-looking god-level weapon that was... just a weapon.
I’ll probably think of more to add, because I love this film so damn much, but feel free to chip in if there’s any obvious ones I’ve forgotten.

SLATE / MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Banner by MrSteiners on DeviantArt
The slate for the planned canon rewrite, expansion and in-depth exploration of the ENTIRE Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This includes links to all the projects I've worked on thus far related to the MCU rewrite, as well as lists of what I'm planning on writing next (although, please note that this is always subject to change). And this goes beyond what already exists, as I plan to make high quality novel-length and novella-length fics diving into every corner I can of this big, beautiful universe — that are NOT always based on the movies.
INTRODUCTION
If you want to see the explanation for what and why this is, please check out this seperate post
There are four planned phases for this project:
ASSEMBLE
REASSEMBLE
INFINITY
ENDGAME
The first and second phases are the only ones where the fics in them have additional descriptions. The other phases have only their titles revealed. (See the series description for a rundown of all the major characters that will appear throughout these fics.)
1. All works that currently exist have links to them. If it does not have a link, I have not started writing it — and despite the order that everything is in, I might be skipping some works and circling back to them later for various reasons (mainly when it makes sense, I’m not going to write an Avengers fic until everything else beforehand is done).
2. This is the recommended order, but — unless it's specified — you can probably read any of them without spoiling any other work. There may be references or easter eggs, but unless it's substantial I will not list something as 'required reading' for another fic: start wherever YOU want.
3. If the work isn't bolded, it will most likely end up being the length of a novella (10-20k words). If it is in UPPERCASE, I expect it to be very, very VERY long. This is just an estimate however, and I just don’t know how far these things will go until I start writing it.
4. Lastly, EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

OTHER WORKS IDEAS
If everything here is subject to change, these works REALLY are: I don't know if any of them will happen.
Betty Ross
Spiderverse
Civil War 2
Fury + Coulson
You may have also noted that neither of the Defenders series, Agents of SHIELD or Agent Carter (the ABC series) are present in any capacity. I have no intention to bring them in as I have never watched them and I don't know enough about them to include them. I am considering bringing in a character from AoS, but if it happens their role is very likely to be minor. I posit an idea of bringing these particular franchises in at some point... but this is very unlikely to happen.
Thank you for reading! Again, if you have any questions about it please ask me anything and I'll do my best to respond. In the meantime, feel free to follow me if you want to stay updated on this project.

Keeping an ear out for the High One (and other deities’) advice: a crash course!
Tumblr media
Oðinn is known for his wisdom and knowledge, and often manifests himself in the form of omens. However, he is also famously deceiving: he will send you puzzle pieces and watch you try to put them together. His advice comes in handy in numerous predicaments, but it requires some sorting out. Understanding the High One’s messages often comes at a price, and I believe he will send you trials and setbacks if the lesson doesn’t sink in. Not because he is malevolent! In my opinion, he puts obstacles on our way so that we can learn by ourselves, just like he has. In order to help you guys figure out Oðinn’s messages, I’ve boiled down the basics to three major habits which I myself seek to develop. These apply to a lot of other deities, but I’ve chosen to illustrate them using Oðinn as an example because his messages are famously hard to decrypt! Now, everything in this post was written according to my personal beliefs and experiences with Oðinn and the Gods. The advice I give is that of a very humble polytheist, and in no way does it represent the absolute truth. Take away from it what you will, because I don’t claim to know the Gods more than any other.
Observation
Or catching any potential message
Learn about omens! I’m serious. Especially those that relate to the High One’s symbols, such as birds (crows, ravens) or wolves. If he talked to us directly, I believe he would encourage us to observe everything that surrounds us and to study it to the best of our capacities. May I add,
“The knowing guest who goes to the feast, in silent attention sits; With his ears he hears, with his eyes he watches, thus wary are wise men all.” Hávamál, stanza 7
Which is why I suggest to look at things: not only see them, but truly look at them. Observe the clouds’ movements, the grass under your feet and the feeling of the wind. Notice how people behave and try to guess why they behave so! Tune your ear in to sounds you’d never paid attention to before. Truly listen when people talk to you for sometimes, the High One will speak using their voices. Such exercises will accustom you to catch everything that goes on around you. Eventually, you will start to notice when something feels different, and identifying actual divine advice will become easier.
Discernment
Or identifying messages
I’ll go broader than just Oðinn for this step because I believe it applies to most deities. Now in my experience, divine advice often feels like its divine. You will know it in your bones. Physically, you may experience a chill or goosebumps. Time may feel like it stopped for half a second, just long enough for the actual message to sink it once you realize it is there. You might find yourself unconsciously mulling over whatever it is you have seen for the minutes or hours that follow. Yet as you’ve probably heard before, not everything is a divine sign. I think skepticism is a vital part of spirituality. People will see a bug outside and go ‘Loki’s telling me I should find work!’ or they’ll drive past a cat cafe and think ‘this is Freyja’s way of telling me I should break up with my boyfriend’. Now, I’m not saying we should constantly brush off signs as fake. My own way of looking at it is, does it really matter if they are? It isn’t necessary to try and interpret every possible sign. If a certain event reminded you of a deity and you think they might have sent you that message, then good! And if you’ve learned a valuable lesson thanks to it, then even better! Believing you’ve received a message from one of your deities, even if you’re not 100% certain of it, is harmless and even healthy. So long as you don’t take every potential message at face value. Same goes for the High One.
Application
Or interpreting the message
Time to reflect on the sign you’ve experienced! What lesson could you possibly learn from the event/the omen? If a particular message seems to arise, how can it be applied to your personal situation? Let me give an example. You’ve mysteriously lost your keys and are forced to go to your neighbor for help. They warmly invite you in their home, make you some tea and turn out a lot more pleasant than you thought they were. Thanks to this unexpected event, you could become more aware of the people around you, choose to commit yourself to your community, or simply try to not judge people with a single glance. Your eyes are drawn to a crow while you’re walking home from work, and you notice it take flight towards the sunset. The image feels strangely warm and comforting? This might be Oðinn’s way to make you notice the world around you, to tell you to breathe and enjoy a moment of tranquility. My personal opinion is that wether these were divine signs or not doesn’t matter, and there is no point trying to prove that they are either. If you learned something from them, them you can very well choose to believe they were sent by a deity because they just might be!

Mythological References in KH:DR (Pt.1)
All of the names, inspirations, and references to norse mythology I saw in the new dark road chapters, with a little bit of my own poetic license thrown in, because that’s half the fun with these roundups :D
This post WILL contain spoilers for the Dark Road finale.
PART ONE - The Characters
When the character designs for dr first dropped, featuring the key class that trained with Xehanort and Eraqus, a lot of people were quick to point out how they all take their names from norse gods/goddesses. They’ve already been covered in other excellent posts, plus, I’ll be talking about them more in my part two. But! With the update, we finally got to meet the eponymous upperclassmen, who also take their names from mythological figures
Tumblr media
Vidar - The Silent God. Víðarr is the son of Odin, mostly attested as a god of vengeance, he killed Fenris wolf at ragnarok in response for the doggo devouring Odin. This fits the student leader we see in dr; broody, stern, and occupied with avenging the loss of his classmates. Some scholars propose his epithet of “silence” is specifically a part of his mourning, a part of the ritual retribution he takes part in. (More on that later)
Tumblr media
Vala - Seer, sorceress. Not a god or goddess, Vala, or völva, is a northern germanic term for prophetess, which relates to Vala’s analytical predictions, as well as her references to her “vision” and it being unclear if she means her glasses, or a real ability to see the future. Interestingly, she is not named for the norn who sees the future. That honor goes to Skuld. So far, we’ve actually seen two norn names: Urd, meaning “That which has happened”, and Skuld, meaning “That which shall be”. I’ll let the Subject X = Skuld theorists do with that what they wish.
Tumblr media
Vali - The Chosen. Not to be confused with Váli, the son of Loki. Váli is another son of Odin (Almost every male student is named after a god that, at some point or another, is attested as a son of Odin. The exceptions are Xehanort, Eraqus, and Helgi.) Váli, however, is a special kiddo, being born specifically to avenge the death of Baldr. According to the poetic edda, he grows to adulthood in a single day. “[He] will kill when one night old – he will not wash hand, nor comb head, before he bears to the pyre Baldr's adversary.” This not washing hand or hair is linked by some scholars to Víðarr’s silence, likely some lost ceremony of keeping a stoic lifestyle until one has delivered justice. He’s also described archer, which is probably where they got the ninja motif. An excellent marksman, he shoots the god who killed Baldr, killing them in return.
Tumblr media
Hoder - The Battle Warrior. You may be wondering: who killed Baldr? Well, in the mythology, it’s his brother Hǫðr (Helped by Loki). In most myths said to be blind, (though this is disputed) Hǫðr unknowingly shot Baldr with the one thing that could kill him. And while she doesn’t cause his actual death in the game, it could be said that Hoder was the catalyst for Baldr being overcome by his darkness. They are said to both be reborn after ragnarock, finally free to live together in the peace they could not have in their first life. You know, like....
Tumblr media
Ahem.
Tumblr media
Heimdall - World-brightener. Now, sadly we’re starting to get to the three upperclassmen we know the least about.  From the few lines they have, Heimdall does seem to be cool, levelheaded, and forward thinking, which matches with the watchman of the gods. Also, Heimdall is often referred to as “the whitest of gods”, probably where the character designers came up with the silvery hair and pale outfit. Other than that, we sadly don’t have enough information to make many connections.
Tumblr media
Sigrun and Helgi - The valkyrie and the hunter. I grouped these two together because, again, we don’t know much about them, but also, their mythological counterparts are a pair. They’re kind of of the odd ducks. First off, they’re the only upperclassmen not named after gods. Sigrun was a valkyrie who fell in love with a mortal, Helgi Hundingsbane. However, she was betrothed to another man, and Helgi ended up going to war over the whole mess and dying at the hand of her brother. Heartbroken, Sigrun curses her brother and spends the rest of her life mourning and tending Helgi’s tomb. The second interesting thing is their story doesn’t end there. The original editor of the poetic edda notes that Sigrun and Helgi are actually the second incarnation of this pair; before, they were a married couple by the names of Sváfa and.... Helgi. And then, after their second lifetime, are reborn as Kára and *pinches nose* Helgi. (Seriously man, how do you keep getting reborn with the same name?!?) These two are the only that don’t bear a very strong resemblance to their original counterparts. Aside from being a male and female fighter, I don’t think they even exchange a single line of dialogue. In the downtime where everyone’s napping in the clearing, Sigrun isn’t sitting with Helgi, she’s curled up with Vala (Which I WILL be interpreting for my own purposes, thank you very much. Harold, they’re lesbians) I think the real character inspirations here are meant to be these ideas of reincarnation and rebirth. The cycle of lives, over and over. The memories of past lives and past love. Important themes they start pushing in this game.
That’s the upperclassmen, though! I’ll be making a part two where I cover more general norse inspirations, as well as just little details I noticed, and some theories on what we could potentially see in Missing Link!

Recoil thoughts, discussion and Chp. 7 Sneak Peek!!! (I can finally talk about it!!)
So, it’s been 24+ hours since the chapter dropped and I’m excited to talk about it!  The last two POVs (and some future stuff) is what finally birthed this entire crossover idea.  (warning: I might jump around and ramble in this post)
My first inkling of an Avengers x Rottmnt crossover started from a silly idea about Donnie and Tony arguing about who had better tech.  A day or two after thinking about it, the plot just came to me.  The key.  It always came back to the key in the movie and it would always come back to the key in this story.
Personally, I see the Avengers as very over-stepping (if that makes sense) with each new movie.  They really had that, ‘we know best’ attitude, Tony especially.  He hasn’t gotten over New York, and his control issues were at an all time high before Ironman 3.   I knew I could play with that to push the story in a believe direction.  That’s why I set it before Age of Ultron.  I liked their dynamic the most before that movie.
Do I believe that SHIELD would ship two related things together?  Yes, yes I do.  Just like how they had Loki and the staff on the same aircraft.  That never really made sense, safety wise, but hey, it works!  They just need to vet their workers better.  There’s always a noisy delivery man lol.  Now, the sneak peek!  This might be the only one for the chapter.  I haven’t decided yet.  I don’t consider this a spoiler since it was heavily implied at the end of chapter 6, but I’ll put it under a cut to be safe.
SNEAK PEEK:
A metal foot emerges from the portal, cracking the concrete beneath it.  Two clawed hands reach out, flexing, from the black and curl around the rim of the doorway.  They pierce the flesh-like edges, causing a viscous dark liquid to drip free.
A single red eye glows from the darkness.
“No.”
The monstrous suit ducks to fit the bulk of it’s body through the portal.  A vicious grin cracks across the midsection.  “Well done, Sister.”

odin, the all-father (asteroids odin (3989) & wodan (2155))
i love me some odin. odin happens to be one of my deities :) around 2016 is when i learned this. after a tarot reading and a flock of crows was on the power line waiting for me after school is when i figured it out symbolically.
sometimes i get dms about deities here - whether it is if i can tell their story or how you can get confirmation with astrology are the typical questions. this is when i will tell ya'll i am an astrology tumblr first and foremost - if your deity has an asteroid, i will certainly add them to my list of asteroids to talk about if not than apologies but i won’t be sharing the myth here. but also an interesting question i receive: how can you get confirmation about a deity in astrology? i look at persona charts for confirmation - deities that tend to reach out to you without you reaching out to them first tend to have two stelliums in your persona chart for their asteroid. asmodeus did not reach out to me but odin, morpheus, pluto, and sigyn did. asmodeus has only one stellium while all my other dieties have two! if anyone would like me to talk more about my experience with my deities their involvement in my life, how i give to them, or any of those types of things i would be happy to share just let me know.
* having no stellium doesn’t mean they aren’t your deity. deity work and worship is more so about what you do for them and sometimes they give back to you. it’s never guaranteed that you receive anything from deities! *
but I am sure you all saw our favorite thing in the world in astrology - two asteroids, one god (no relation to the cup thing from 2014). odin has two other popular names used in reference to him: wotan and wodan. the old norse is òðinn, woden is the old english, and wotan is the old high german. check out my thor post if you are interested in the evolution of language. long story short we are always evolving so who knows the sounds and the way "odin" is currently spelt may change in the future. but i never want to pigeon hole anyone into just one option when there are many - so you pick which asteroid to use. 3989 or 2155 or both :).
“when talking about such a popular god or goddess i am going to for warn paraphrasing - of course all these stories have more details and all these popular gods have stories within stories. i would love to share them all/in detail but i would need a book and a lot more time to write it. my attempt in writing these posts are to inform you on the high level story of the god’s or goddess’s life. that being said if any one of the events regaled in the post pique you interest - please let me know i don’t mind giving a more in-depth tale of any of the events mentioned.”
now on to odin.
Tumblr media
Odin is often depicted as the leader Aesir who has one eye and a long beard. Oftentimes, Odin is illustrated as someone with quite a few animal familiars: wolves, ravens, and even the eight-legged horse mentioned in Loki's post, Sleipnir. Oðr is the Old Norse word for fury, passion, and inspiration - his name translates to the man of rage and passion. This is very fitting for his archetype as the powerful king of Valhalla. Odin is often thought to be the son of a frost jötnar, Bestla, and Borr, who is rather obscure in the histories. What is known is that Odin and his brothers killed a rather important giant named Ymir. The blood of Ymir was thought to have drowned all the giants but two (who eventually repopulated) with his blood. Ymir's flesh was then used to make the earth, his bones to make mountains, his skull to make the sky, etc. Odin and his brothers then set about creating the beings who lived in this new world (see the Ask and Embla post to read that myth). Odin and his brothers also created Asgard, shortly after that he married Frigg. Odin has quite a few famous children with other women like Thor. Odin often comes to earth in the form of a wise old man to test the humans for hospitality and he sends his crows to collect wisdom. This hunger for knowledge, wisdom, and worldliness are not new for Odin. There are many stories in which he hangs himself for knowledge - essentially sacrificing himself for enlightenment. One of the most popular stories of his quests for knowledge is the same story that explains how Odin lost his eye. Odin had traveled into the root system of the World Tree - home to Mimir's well. Odin asked Mimir if he could drink from the well and Mimir told him not without sacrifice. Odin debated this and agreed to Mimir's terms - Mimir filled a horn for him. Odin drank it and saw the future of both human and godly challenges that would eventually occur. Once Odin had finished his drink, he plucked his right eye out and handed it to Mimir who placed it in the well. IN MY OPINION Odin represents a) where and how you create, b) your relationship with animals or what kind of familiar you should have, c) where you appear powerful without needing to assert yourself, d) where, what, and why you are willing to sacrifice everything, and/or e) your views on knowledge and wisdom.
Tumblr media
i encourage you to look into the aspects of odin and wodan along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of odin and wodan AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede odin and wodan!
OTHER RELATED ASTEROIDS: ask (4894), donar (2176), embla (4895), loke (4862), thora (299), and frigga (77)!

Hi guys! I’m gonna make an intro post because I have decided to come back to this blog. My other account has some bad memories associated with an ex friend and I’d rather use this one. Anyway:
Hi, my name is Riah (pronounced like Mariah without the “Ma”) but you can also call me Yorke, Lex, or anything idrc as long as you’re nice. I’m non-binary and I think agender is the best label for me but I lean more masculine so please use they/he (it and xe are fine, idrc as long as it’s not she/her.) I’m also a sex-repulsed asexual and I think I’m panromantic (not really sure, I’ve only dated one person and it was a guy before I was out as enby.) please do NOT flirt with me or ask me about my ex unless I want to talk about it. I still have a lot of trauma from irl stuff over the last few years but I don’t take stuff out on people.
I am 21 years old and am diagnosed with autism and ADHD as well as anxiety and off and on depression due to all the other stuff. If you’re ableist or say I’m faking my autism/ADHD, I will block you! That’s not cool.
I like a lot of different music rock and indie (Radiohead, Björk, Coldplay, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fiona Apple, etc) and I might post stuff here but this is mainly for other fandoms. I am a K-pop stan (mainly girl groups) and I sometimes post them. My main groups are BLACKPINK, Dreamcatcher, (G)-IDLE, Aespa, and IVE. I’m also obsessed with Taemin. I’m not against RPF on principal (as long as it doesn’t involve minors) and I’ve written some K-pop fics before. I don’t write smut because of me being ace. If I do crosspost or promote my AO3 here a lot of my fics are sad. But I mainly post fanfic of fictional stuff. I also don’t like people who are obsessive weird stans with K-pop, pop singers, rappers, it doesn’t matter who it is. Basically any celebrity if you stalk them or think you can marry them that’s weird! Fanfiction is FICTION and they are real people with lives. I see this stuff a lot in the K-pop community so I just wanted to put that as a disclaimer here I in no way support that behavior.
Im I’m a lot of fandoms but my main ones are Genshin, ATLA, Sonic, Mega Man, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Daria, MCU (mainly GOTG these days) Disney/Pixar, Spiderverse + animation in general. I used to be into Star Wars and Hunger Games but I’m more casual with it now. Im bad at watching shows because of my ADHD and need to finish stranger things and umbrella academy someday and then I’ll post them haha. I have a lot of dead fandoms from not finishing stuff. Also I used to be into Harry Potter but I’ve cut all ties with that because of JKR. I won’t hate you if you like HP stuff especially fan content but if you support JKR I’m gonna block you.
I don’t kin characters hardcore but there are definitely some that have more than one relatable aspect to me or I just love posting stuff about: Zuko, Katara, Blues, Zero, Mirabel, Shadow, Nimona, Rocket, Nebula, Vanellope, Gwen, Diluc, Scara—those are just some of my favorites and I’ll post a lot of spam about them lol. If you hate on me or others for having headcanons unless it’s like really really screwed up then don’t come on my page! I’m cool w all ships aside from p3d0 stuff (I personally don’t read 1ncest but it it’s fiction idrc. I will mention I’m in the Archie Sonic fandom to an extent and I ship Knuxulie who are distant cousins, but I don’t count is as 1ncest because everyone is technically related, it’s pretty distant, and Ken Penders is weird. It’s stuff like siblings, parent/child, first cousins, etc. that icks me out. I also don’t ship adopted siblings like Thor and Loki because that’s still incest so stop. robot masters are a gray area because there are so many Wilybots, there is a brief mention of Snake/Shadow in the fic, but all the main sibling ones I don’t ship together.) and people who say shit like “all reylos are toxic” don’t fly with me. I use this as an example because it’s what my ex used to do. Also taking things way too seriously about fiction like saying SU is the worst thing ever (I also want to mention my ex agreed with Lily Orchard and when I pointed out the rightful criticism she got for her lack of research, he said people only hate her because she is trans. He is a cis guy.) I also want to be clear that cishet guys who hate Korra as a character are on thin ice. I have weirdly specific boundaries because of my ex bf.
I hate people who gatekeep stuff in fandoms too unless you’re gatekeeping it from racist people or something. I also hate people who say “you’re not a real fan if you like/dislike a thing the fandom dislikes/likes”, people who harass writers or actors because they don’t like a show like be fr. So if I see that stuff on my page you’ll be blocked. Also saying stuff is non canon just because you don’t like it. The two biggest examples are the Star Wars sequel trilogy and BOTW/TOTK. People who say anyone who likes the sequel trilogy is a fake fan, and people who say that TOTK isn’t a real Zelda game just because they don’t like it. It’s annoying.
I know I mentioned I write fanfic and I’ll occasionally post art here. My instagram, AO3, and stuff is all in my Linktree which it’s not letting me copy link but I’ll post the url here.
linktr.ee/Riahlexuko
Also I wrote a Mega Man fanfic https://archiveofourown.org/works/50900716/chapters/128590468
Anyway I hope you guys have fun and enjoy the blog, I repost a lot of stuff but I’ll post OC sometimes. Anyway, bye for now!

MCU Phase 5 & 6 Predictions and Theories
Clearly I’ve had too much time on my hands lately, but please feel free to reply with your thoughts and own predictions! Links to sources have been provided in cases where tweets, articles, or interviews are referenced!
**Quick disclaimer that these are merely my own theories and predictions, not necessarily what I want or hope to happen, but are based on patterns and predicted storylines.**
Regé-Jean Page as Reed Richards/Mr.Fantastic.
I am pretty sure that Secret Invasion tweet error was a copy/paste issue from a cast list provided to social media reps of cast members so he has likely been cast in something. However, I doubt it is Secret Invasion and it would not be a minor role, and he would be a perfect choice for the smartest man alive.
Cillian Murphy will not play Doctor Doom, but he will be cast in a non-F4 project.
Although he has been fancast by many as Doctor Doom and would do a great job playing the villain, I really doubt we see him take up that mantle. However, I do believe we may see him take on another anti-hero or grey character as that he would do just as great a job as.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau cast as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom.
This rumour has been circulating a while and seems the most likely scenario in my opinion, more so than other popular choices among fans such as Murphy and Cavill. Marvel has successfully cashed in on the Game of Thrones appeal of many actors in the past and they are sure to again.
**Although Coster-Waldau is a phenomenal actor and would play a MCU villain very well, it must be noted that Victor von Doom is a Romani character and should in fact be played by a Romani actor. Yet as Marvel has unfortunately not been competent in their appropriately cast Romani or Jewish characters of actors of a shared heritage, I find it difficult to believe that this behaviour will be amended in time for this casting (which may have already taken place).**
Laura Dern in New Asgard.
We saw Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Thor: Ragnarok, giving us 2/3 of the original Jurassic Park trio, and both were set to be in Thor: Love and Thunder (but only Neill did as Goldblum’s scene was cut), I NEED DR. GRANT AND DR. SATTLER TOGETHER IN THE MCU. Possibly as actress Frigga in an Asgardian play? Maybe the Grandmaster could be in the audience?? I don’t care how this would happen as I don’t see Thor 5 happening, but it is very important to me personally that it does. (This is the only personal indulgence prediction I promise).
Sylvie will die in Loki Season 2, Loki returns to New Asgard.
Both of them won’t make it out of the next season, yet I see Loki being a more likely option to survive in this case as he would return to New Asgard as a whistleblower about how dangerous Kang has become. However, none of the Avengers would believe him until Scott Lang confirms following the events of Quantumania.
Valkyrie adopting a much larger role in the MCU, dates Carol Danvers.
As we are nearing the end of our time with Thor and Loki, Valkyrie will likely be our link to Asgard. It’s also about time they give our King a girlfriend, and it being Carol Danvers would make them the ultimate power couple.
Nova announcement for Phase 6.
It’s overdue that Nova be introduced into the MCU, and with the Guardians making their exit in May it is the perfect timing to introduce a new connection to the galactic aspect of the MCU. It would also possibly be something hinted towards or appear in a post-credit scene in GotG vol. 3, and be connected to Adam Warlock’s future in the MCU.
Midnight Sons announcement for Phase 6 or 7.
This one feels pretty obvious given the introduction of Moon Knight & Mr. Knight, Blade, Werewolf by Knight, Man-Thing (Ted!!!) and Elsa Bloodstone, we’re seeing much more characters falling into the darker and monster-related side of the MCU who are all tied to the Midnight Sons. In addition to the fact that other affiliates are likely being introduced soon, including Wolverine and Ghost Rider, and others including Doctor Strange, Wong, and Mordo already present, it is certainly in Marvel’s plans for the future.
Antony Starr cast as Dracula in Blade.
Another highly rumoured casting, this time based upon Starr tweeting about being busy with little explanation and other alleged leaks. He is amazing as Homelander in The Boys, so him undertaking a villain such as Dracula would be great.
“Ralph Bohner” revealed as Peter Maximoff, explains Deadpool and the X-Men’s introduction to the MCU.
Given the possibility that Ralph Bohner is the member of WITSEC that Jimmy Woo was going to Westview to visit, a theory I explain more in depth here as WITSEC is not typically FBI jurisdiction, it would make sense that he will be connected to Deadpool and the X-Men entering the MCU, albeit with a different cast. Peter and Wade would be from the same universe, with the new X-Men being from another, thus explaining the discrepancy of having seen the first reboot of the franchise in Deadpool 2.
Daniel Brühl’s “surprise” return as Helmut Zemo in the Thunderbolts.
We were all expecting that Zemo was going to be in the Thunderbolts given that he plays a significant role in the comics, and Brül addresses this by reminding fan’s that Zemo is “not dead” and “even if he could [explain], he couldn’t” tell fans if he will return. Yeah, he’s definitely coming back. Marvel’s probably just waiting until the trailer drops or even hiding it until the film’s release to generate hype closer to it’s release.
Okoye returns in Thunderbolts and Wakanda plays a large role in the plot.
Given Bucky’s history with Hydra, it’s difficult to see Bucky joining Valentina given her ties with the organization, leaving two scenarios plausible: he is not aware of them, or is a double agent. If the possible rumours that it involves a heist in Wakanda, especially considering how Valentina likely has a vendetta against them for aiding Ross in escaping, it is surely the latter as I cannot see Bucky so blatantly defying Wakanda after all they did for him unless there is a more pressing threat at hand (ie. in TFATWS/CAATWS). And, if this is true, a large threat such as the Hydra under the guise of the U.S. Government classifies it as that.
Andrew Garfield appearance in Venom 3.
This is pretty popular, but considering his line in Spider-Man: No Way Home that he “want[s] to fight an alien,” it feels foreshadowing. That, plus the fan reception of his return and performance as Peter Parker, makes it natural that Sony would want to continue featuring him in their non-MCU universe, and have him face off with Venom or join forces against a common foe.
Milly Alcock cast as Gwen Stacy.
Another GOT/HOTD related casting prediction, Milly Alcock as Gwen Stacy is something I have seen discussed as a fan cast rapidly growing in popularity. And, as mentioned before, Marvel has historically favoured actors who featured in GOT, including Richard Madden, Kit Harrington, and Emilia Clarke in the MCU, with Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams in the XCU. Not only has she proved herself a great actress and bears a striking resemblance to the comic and Into the Spiderverse depictions of the character, but Gwen Stacy needs to be played as independent, strong and proactive in her behaviour. In her portrayal of Rhaenyra Targaryen, she has proved herself capable of portraying these traits as a strong female lead tenfold.
Donald Glover Returns as Aaron Davis/Prowler along with Miles Morales.
Again, another pretty obvious development, but I do not think Glover’s role of producing and starring as the titular character of Hypno-Hustler, a Sony film about another Spiderverse villain, will impact his role as Prowler unless we explicitly hear him confirm that he will be handing the reins of the role over to another actor. And, of course, it is incredibly likely we see Miles Morales introduced within the next few Spider-Man films.
Scott Lang is the one Avenger who remembers Peter Parker.
We know that there has been some exploration of the possibility that one Avenger remembers Peter Parker, and the one possible option is Scott Lang. It is through the Quantum realm that we know time travel is possible, and it may have been something being experimented with by Scott, Hope, Hank, Janet, and possibly Cassie, at the time of the spell being cast. We also don’t know what other kind of characteristics the Quantum realm may possess with regard to impacting how the spell may effect someone in it and/or absent at the time it was cast. However, this is just one of many possibilities.
Hank Pym dies in Ant-Man: Quantumania.
Pretty self explanatory, but I think as this is most likely the final Ant-Man movie, especially with Paul Rudd, that one of their main characters will die and, since they just got Janet back, Hank seems like the most emotional loss for the other characters.
Druig will adopt a more villainous role by the end of Phase 6.
I love Druig and Makkari so much, but in the comics, Druig is a villain that the Eternals fight against as well as being related to them. I don’t see them killing off Makkari and would be devastated if they do, but I think she may be injured or have something happen that would send Druig on a spiral. We would probably not see this until after Eternals 2 or the next Avengers films, but I fully expect Druig to have a character arc quite similar to Wanda’s.
Richard Madden returns as Ikaris in Eternals 2.
Arishem has the power to recreate any of the Eternals he wishes and, given that Ikaris was his most loyal follower and would be difficult both emotionally and physically for many of the Eternals to fight again, it would be in his best interest to bring him back.
Upcoming Avengers movie(s) death predictions:
Stephen Strange, Thor Odinson, Bucky Barnes, Scott Lang, Bruce Banner, Nick Fury.
Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 death predictions:
Rocket, Nebula, Drax, and Peter Quill.
Henry Cavill cast as any character.
He needs to be petty and go to DC’s competition lmao.

So the Thor hype is starting up again but unfortunately because of this, I’m seeing thorki shipping again.
Listen, I’m fine with shipping, with two exceptions
1. Everyone is the right age e.g it’s either two adults or two teenagers. You can ship Peter Parker and MJ in high school because they’re both in high school. You should absolutely not ship Peter at 15 with 40 something Tony Stark
And 2. NO ONE IS RELATED OR IS FAMILY!!!!
So, in from left field is Thorki.
Now, when it comes Thorki, I see people saying “They’re not actually related! There’s no blood relation so it’s fine! Don’t be dramatic!”
Well fuck you and fuck this take. I find this take so offensive and disgusting I can hardly put it to words but I will.
I am a foster kid. I have no relationship with anyone from my biological family. And according to these takes, I don’t have a family. In fact, every foster kid or any child who’s been adopted also does not have a family. If your definition of family can only be defined by the blood shared, then you are wrong and you are looking at family with privilege.
I do not have this privilege. I do not have the luxury of being able to ask my mother about the day I was born or my dad about the day I learned to walk. I don’t have the privilege of asking a family member about what I was like as a child.
So when it comes to the MCU, Loki is adopted and raised along side Thor. They are brothers. They call each other brothers and when Loki isn’t brainwashed by Thanos, they’re fighting like brothers. THEY. ARE. BROTHERS!!!!!
You cannot write this out, or say they aren’t because they aren’t related because family is so much more, so much larger than the DNA molecules that make us up. If you sit and say that it’s okay to ship them because they share no blood, you are wrong.
Incest as a thing is fucking gross but saying this doesn’t count because there’s no blood relation is fucking disgusting.
Stop it. Just stop it. I’m tired of seeing family being defined so narrowly. I’m tired to fighting with people in real life to get them to understand my family and I’m tired to it online.
This post is a rant and no one cares but I want it said. If you wanna fight me, go ahead. I’m tired of yous being narrow minded.

Hey, so I jsut see your post on what TERF is and I was hesitating to ask you the same but there is this site, urban dictionary, who is really reliable and since I have a ask a thought that some people would like to know.
So for the ask, why people are comparing Loki to Wanda ? Because I don't follow the MCU but now I'm curious.
Honestly… I don’t know.
Wanda and Loki both did very bad things, but there are a boatload of differences and they should not be compared.
As an example, let’s see their reasons for doing bad things:
Loki: Felt like a disappointment to his “father” and found out he was adopted was kidnapped as a baby (check this out for more info), realised his entire life was a lie, and was told that Frost Giants were evil, horrible creatures but then found out that he’s one of them (ouch).
Wanda: Her robot boyfriend die. That’s it.
That’s literally her only excuse. I still cannot believe her stans think that justifies her literally enslaving and terrorising an entire goddamn town.
Loki has his flaws and is by no means a Saint, but, unlike Wanda, he at least never makes excuses for his actions—despite his reasons being wayyyy more understandable than “uwu my microwave died”—and never plays the victim.
Anyway, I hope this helped answer your question. If you have any more Marvel (or of course HP) related questions, feel free to ask. Have a nice day!

Loki’s Childhood
My brain won’t shut up, hence this post. One thing about me is that I love to analyze characters, especially the local trickster god. I’ve always wondered what a pre-thor 1 looked like in terms of the brothers, Asgard, and everything else. This is especially the case concerning Loki, probably due to him being the most fascinating, complex character I’ve ever seen. After a thorough AO3 search, I’ve realized that there aren’t that many fics going over possible childhoods; however, the ones we do have outline some trends. (All of this is my headcanon, but would love to hear your thoughts below). Now, first things first, the debate over how Loki’s mischief got started. I swear, this is one I see so often, and for good reason too. Personally, for me, his mischief was something that started innocent, but developed with trauma and time. I honestly believe that he wasn’t born malicious, but rather a normal kid. From the brief flashback in Thor 1, we meet the brothers, and both are totally normal children. Loki wasn’t displaying signs of being cruel or murderous, no that was, for some reason, an idea that sprouted post Thor-3. I honestly believe that Loki grew up pretty innocently. His mischief probably started with Thor or the Warriors 3, and was nothing more than childhood antics. I feel like as they got older, however, he was no longer blind to Odin and started to become aware of his favoritism. I believe he started to act out more, but was still not malicious or a villain. If any of you have read Where Mischief Lies, I believe he went on a similar arc. He tried to be the good son, always listening to his father, and always trying to get approval. He had mischief and trickery, but it wasn’t his entire personality. He grew bitter as the years progressed, and probably saw that his efforts were turning up in vain. Asgard itself was never kind to him, magic was a woman’s sport, and he never truly fit in. He seems like a loner, probably favoring knowledge and books. I think it’s important to state that he was still loyal to Thor. He was sassy, arrogant, smart, prone to mischief (but not fully a trickster), and still trying to be a good son. I believe he probably started to lie as he got older, same as his plots and pranks were intended to start hurting; he knew the value of information and gossip. He felt more and more left out as the years passed, feelings turning bitter and darker. I really just want to dictate my full belief that Loki wasn’t born hating Thor or fully mischievous or even evil. The mischief developed from innocence to an escape from his feelings. He constantly felt less than Thor, someone who couldn’t gain his father’s love or affection. He tried constantly to be a good son, but it always left him in trouble. His turn towards lies came probably more towards his later childhood. He always was able to lie, and had, but it was never his personality. He lied early on with childhood pranks, schemes, and plots. However, it developed further as he got older and became bitter and lonely. He believed no one in Asgard could ever relate to him, and no one even liked him over Thor. His schemes became grander, harsher, and he became less kind. Similar to Thor 2, he appears cruel and like a showman. He delights in chaos, but, unlike post Thor 1, he still has a head on his shoulders. He has enough sense to still try to be a good son, even if it’s in vain. Underneath his facades (which developed to full on masks) he is in so much pain. This entire post is so stupid and only my opinion (head canon), please don’t hate me for this. I don’t even know what this is; I just needed to write everything down and try to organize my thoughts.

I like to imagine Victor's arm is around Stephen, even if that's not what's going on.
wdym you like to imagine it? Is it NOT what’s happening? wooiewoiioai I mean, maybe not, but Victor’s arm is UNDER the Cloak of Levitation, which definitely means he’s propping Stephen’s back at the very least 😌

I am amused to note that Clea has followed up on her comment in issue #1 and enchanted a suit of armor to act as doorman. ;)
I just saw the preview but I noticed the same thing about the armor haha. I’m gonna post it in a jiffy along with the solicitations!

i’ve been thinking the exact same thing about his interviews. same page besties 👯‍♀️
It’s what every screenwriter keeps saying. “Show, don’t tell.” Waldron can’t do the basics :S glad we're on the same page about this, sometimes I’m afraid I’m being too critical :S

Honestly my hopes of the MCU doing  characters like Victor Von Doom or Magneto justice are on the ground and I'm sure it'll find a way to dig itself down to hell. Jewish and/or Romani rep is basically non-existent and Victor's Romani heritage is every bit as informative of his character as being a Jewish Holocaust survivor is to Magneto.
I’m with you, sadly. They did the absolute minimum to Marc’s heritage and barely explored his relationship with his father, which is fundamental to Marc’s character till this very day. Wanda and Pietro are atrocities as well, and I can’t remember if they addressed Magneto’s heritage in some of the “new” X-Men movies at some point (because really, I only watched those once so I’m not sure but I also remember a flashback with Erik in a concentration camp but my memory is really foggy about it, sorry). Anyways, this is pathetic all the same because this is PRECISELY what drives Magneto as a character, not a minor detail.
I also wrote a full thread on Victor because, just like Magneto, being part of a persecuted minority is the driving force that shaped these characters.
I’m trying my best to spread awareness but the constant racism, especially when you address the whitewashing in F4 fancasts, is exhausting.
I can’t deal with another Wanda situation, for real. The never-ending racism by Olsen stans is overwhelming and it pains me to see that the MCU is about to commit the same mistake with a fave of mine. I’m so done, I’m really dropping my excitement as a viewer (and thank the Vishanti I’ve never been a fan of the live actions oof)
PS: I’m also gonna leave this thread on Wanda to keep spreading awareness.

Can't say I blame you. My hope is that Ben will pull rank and demand a different writer for the next film. Because while I like Multiverse, I do have issues with it and feel like Waldron should probably be kept away from anything DS related.
I wish I had hope that would happen, but I’m always scared since they only care about money, not quality ;-;

I mean, Waldron’s already been pulled off Loki for Star Wars (which…🙄), so I hope that means he’s off Marvel projects going forward. But I’m feeling the same level of exhaustion with Marvel and its fandom. I’m here for Strange, Loki and not much else.
Omg, really? That’s good news, and as long as Waldron just writes a random tv show for SW not realated to Mandalorian or Andor, I don’t mind it haha. But hopefully another one comes for DS3.

Hi,
Is Star Wars worth getting into? I keep seeing all the pretty fanart on your blog, and I love medieval stuff (I have a medieval wall calander, cushion, books,) so happy to see your Medieval au stil going.
But I also hear mixed things about Star Wars, so I'm wondering if it's a case of the fandom makes it better and more enjoyable. I feel the same way about the Loki series. I thought it was OK, but the fandom with makes it more fun and interesting.
Anyway, sorry for this slightly weird question! I've been thinking of asking for a while, but the tipping point was when your blog taught me that Kylo Ren and Ben Solo are the same person. It made me realise that I know too little about star wars.
Hello! *cracks knuckles* ok let’s dive in and hopefully you don’t end up being sorry you asked 😂…
My answer as to whether Star Wars is worth getting into- YES! That’s the short version lol, but now I’ll expound. 😁
Disclaimer- my experience with the Star Wars fandom is relatively short. I only really got active in the fandom space when the final movie in the sequel trilogy came out. So my love for SW in general has nothing to do with the fandom. And in my brutally honest opinion, the fandom can actually add more of a negative spin to the experience rather than being what makes it enjoyable. That can be the case in pretty much any fandom space, but the thing with SW is that it’s so incredibly large since it’s been around for close to 50 yrs. The larger the fandom, statistically there tends to be more craziness and drama lol. I stay in a very limited and curated space for the SW fandom, so for me it’s been pretty nice for the most part. That’s my note on the fandom, but now let’s get to the actual movies! 👏
The movies are absolutely worth watching. And personally, I’d start with the original trilogy. (The trilogy that was released in the 70s and 80s) These movies are honestly classics, the characters are awesome, and they were also way ahead of their time in special effects. The prequel trilogy (1999-2005) is my least favorite, but it’s still really fun and worth watching imo. And then of course the sequel trilogy (2015-2019) is awesome in its own way as well. I’m not going to get into shipping in this post, but obviously you know where I stand on that lol. And on a somewhat related note, please don’t pay attention to the people who whine about how SW was “ruined” by one thing or another. I would encourage anyone to watch it for themselves and try to just enjoy it for what it is. Yeah, there’s stuff I would have done differently, particularly in the prequels and sequels, but that doesn’t change my enjoyment of it as a whole. I think if you go into it with the right attitude, it’s way more fun than frustration.
There’s also so much related canon of course, in the form of books, tv shows, comics, other movies, etc. And tbh a lot of it I haven’t even touched. But what I have seen, I love. There’s so much there to consume, enjoy, and to inspire fandom creating. I really hope you get to at least watch the movies, and if you do I’d love to hear your thoughts! ☺️
