One day you're out on the town with your buddy and then suddenly your phone loses all data and everyone seems to start ignoring you except your buddy and some people who might be doing some kind of promo event? Like they give you little Tasks and proclaim there will be Prizes. And after like two days of this one of them casually mentions that you're actually dead and this is the afterlife. Okay????? After all, what would you know about the afterlife? One of your teammates is deeply weird and has his own agenda but you only met the guy yesterday, it would be rude to ask him what it is. There's an extended bit where everyone mistakes just A Random Dude for the protag of the previous game despite the fact that they look nothing alike. Said random dude drops the wildest personal lore in every other sentence but jocks might just be weird like that???? There is a giant turf war going on between the grim reapers but our protags are Kinda Busy Trying Not To Die. There's a whole city that got blown up and erased from reality??? Nuh-uh. I'd remember if something was erased from reality. No one tries to contact the manager because they don't even know the afterlife has a manager.
