Someone asked me if I would allow my children to go to an HBCU College. And my answer was an emphatic NO! As I understand the concept of black people having there own and building within there communities. But for me it's just a delay of process. I don't believe in black history month or a white history month. Any day that is set aside for a human being whether black, white or what you so called discovered. I celebrate Christmas, Halloween and other holidays that weren't created for what we use it for. I don't care to know the story behind it. Because I use it for the positive aspects that come with a holiday. (Coming together, sharing etc.) I do not believe in division. And HBCU is a division of separation from others. Unfortunately God's time is not ours. Our year is his second. In the next 100 years the world will be so diverse that black and white will be non existent. Racism will not be talked about, for there it will not exist. Patients is a virtue that most don't have. Look where we were 100 years ago. HUGE DIFFERENCE. the next 100 will be no different. So tearing down statues and monuments make no sense. Your erasing history as if it never happened. They are there as reminders. If Michael Jordan committed murder. Would they take his statue down? And why? Was he not the greatest player to ever play the game? Did it just go away? Some things need to be left as reminders.
