Okay, okay, that's such a good question, like we already know how Sunshine and Loki met and we've seen a few glimpses into their friendship, but we don't know how they actually became friends. And that is an injustice. So allow me to recount how exactly Sunshine and Loki became friends.

F is For Friends Who Do Stuff Together

Part of The Grumpy X Sunshine Series

Loki smirks to himself. He wasn't going to do anything too awful, perhaps a little mischievous but why would anyone expect anything else from him?

It was their fault really. Leaving their newest addition all alone while he was lurking around the Compound. You're low hanging fruit ripe for the picking.

He didn't even have any real plans for you.

Perhaps he'd take you to Asgard for long enough for Thor to come looking. Long enough to frighten you, certainly. In truth, he was just bored and looking to stir up a little bit of chaos - and they made it far too easy for him.

After all, you're completely oblivious to him looming behind you. It was almost too easy.

He creeps up slowly, watching as you tend to a bouquet of flowers in the common room.

You're not even in within arm's reach when, without ever looking over your shoulder, you chirp, "Hi, Loki!"

He freezes, completely caught off guard, his plans entirely derailed, "How did you-"

You turn around with a bright smile, "How did I what?"

"How did you know I was there?"

You shrug, "I heard you."

"Impossible." It disturbs him more than it should. He was a god. Not just a god, but the god of deception and trickery. You were just the strange newcomer.

"Maybe you're not as sneaky as you think you are."

Despite how deeply unsettling this turn of events is, he smirks to himself. He knows you're completely unaware of the challenge you just issued.

So he tries. Again. And again. And again.

And each time, "Hi, Loki!" or "You almost got me that time!" or, worst of all "You're getting better everyday!"

It was maddening. Infuriating, even. He even scared Thor a few times just to make sure he hadn't somehow lost his touch. But no, his brother fell for the old snake in the common room trick every time without fail.

For three months, you held his attention. It was a new record for Loki. Every chance he got to catch you off guard, he took. And none of them ever worked.

One day, he swears he's finally done it. You're talking so enthusiastically to the SHIELD agent before you that there's no way you know he's lurking around the corner.

"Hold on," you tell the SHIELD agent you're speaking to whose name Loki hasn't bothered to learn. You turn around to find Loki a foot away from you, "Hi, Loki."

"What the hell was that?" the SHIELD agent demands.

"Oh, it's just this game me and Loki play." You dismissively wave your hand. "He tries to sneak up on me and I find him before he does. It's sort of like a very intense game of hide and seek."

"I think he's trying to kidnap you."

"It's alright. He's my friend."

Loki falters just as he's about to storm away, "I beg your pardon?"

"What?"

"What did you just say?"

"I said that it's alright because you're my friend," you casually repeat.

"That! Right there!" Loki explains, gesturing between you and him. "When did we become friends?"

"Umm... I don't know. We've been playing this game for like three months, so like three months ago, I guess."

Loki's eyebrows furrow together. He's not quite sure if it's the most endearing or the most disturbing thing he's ever heard. Worst of all, you don't seem to be afraid of him. "I've been trying to abduct you for three months and you call me your friend?"

"Well, I know you'd bring me back eventually. Plus, I've always wanted to visit another realm, it's on my bucket list!"

"What gave you the impression that I'd return you?"

You shrug, "I'm not worried about it, I trust you."

Your words strike a chord deep within Loki. He can't remember the last time someone trusted him, but you did. You did because you considered him a friend. "You trust me because I am your friend?"

You nod repeatedly, "Pretty much."

The corner of Loki's mouth twists upward, "Huh..."

"What?"

"I think I might need to find someone new to wreak havoc on."

"Oooh, we should play a prank on Sam!"

Loki smile mischievously at you, "I think we'll get along just fine."

Adventures on a Foreign | Chapter 3

Summary: After narrowly escaping Thanos, Loki is given a chance for a new life. The Avengers allow Loki to live in New Asgard with his brother, Thor. However, The Avengers are not quick to put their trust into Loki. SHIELD Director Nick Fury recruits an Agent who was once said to be one of the most promising SHIELD Agents, to follow Loki and ensure that he has no plans to harm Earth. The sun had only started to emerge when Loki decided to visit the downtown of New Asgard. He knew someone was watching him as he walked down the cobblestone path covered by overgrown grass. There was no point in glancing back and he knew it was you following him.

It had only been a few days since the two of you arrived in New Asgard. For most of that time, he stayed in Thor's house only adventuring as far as the garden. Today, Loki decided it was time to see more of what was supposed to be his new home. He knew there were whispers among the city about his arrival.

Loki had assumed that his visit was early enough that most of the city would still be asleep and the streets would all be empty, giving him the chance to explore without the staring gazes of others. What he didn’t account for was you knowing that he would be up so early.

Did this woman sneak a tracker on me in the middle of the night? He wasn’t sure he could ever get used to your ever-existing presence, but for now he continued on,

As Loki continued to walk through the town, he heard footsteps approaching him. At first he assumed it was you, but as he turned around he was greeted by a different presence, “Valkyrie, I'm surprised to see you wake this early,” Loki said quietly.

“I could say the same to you Prince Loki. I haven't seen you explore at all since you and your Agent arrived,” Valkyrie said as she continued to walk to Loki’s side and smiled at him. “She’s quite pretty isn’t she.”

Loki rolled his eyes, “Don’t you already have a lover. I don’t think she would be interested anyway, she is taking her job of observing me far too seriously.” Loki looked around him trying to find where you were hiding.

“Don’t underestimate me Loki, I could seduce her if I wanted to,” Valkyrie laughs to herself, “But you’re right. I do already have plenty of lovers that need my attention. That and I have a city to rule.”

“Yes, I sure hope your lovers don’t distract you from your work.”

“I’m fully capable of multitasking.” She signaled to Loki to follow her “Tell me what do you think of this city, Prince Loki.”

Loki looked closer at the buildings, many of which still had not turned their lights on yet. People seemed to be settling into their homes and building their new lives. There aren’t many businesses in New Asgard, or at least not as many as there were on Asgard. It was becoming a functional city and even some novelties were appearing, namely the new library featuring both Midgardian books and the copies of Asgardian books that were managed to be saved.

“You are doing a good job my King, the Asgardians deserve a new home and you are providing them a beautiful one,” Loki earnestly said.

“There’s lots of work to be done Loki.” Valkyrie smiles softly, “But I do appreciate the sentiment, especially from you.”

Loki tensed. “And why do you need my opinion?”

“Because you are a Prince, it was your home too that is now gone,” Valkyrie asserted.

Loki stopped walking and Valkyrie looked back towards him. “No matter how many times you call me a Prince, it doesn’t make me one. Not anymore.” Loki wasn't sure if he was ever truly a Prince of Asgard. If anything, he was the heir to Jotunheim. Thor was the only Prince that Asgard ever seemed to need.

“These will always be your people, Loki. I know what it’s like to try and abandon them to create a new life. But I was miserable, I didn’t feel like myself again till I helped fight during Ragnarok. I know you felt a similar way. You could have run away and left them to die, but you didn’t. You felt good fighting for your people and can continue to serve them now.”

“I think you put too much faith in me,” he said gravelly.

“Maybe,” Valkyrie shrugged. “But I also know you want to be more than the villain in stories. This can be a new start for you and your relationship with the people of Asgard, just like me.”

Loki turned away and began walking back to Thor’s house. “Goodbye Valkyrie,” he murmured.

Mission Report for Director Nick Fury

Loki Laufeyson is…

You've been sitting at the kitchen table for over an hour, desperately trying to find the words for your mission report.

This morning you heard Loki get up, having always been a light sleeper. It was useful for the job though, as it helped you stay aware of his every move. That's all how all your time has been spent in New Asgard: listening and waiting for Loki to make his move.

For the most part, Loki kept to himself. The change of routine today, made you assume that it was the start of some malicious plan. But when you followed him into town, he did nothing but observe the city until he had a conversation with the King of New Asgard, Valkyrie.

Having no more time to procrastinate on your mission report, you decided to give Loki some space for a few hours. As you stared at the blank page on your laptop, you heard the door to the house creak open soon followed by a boisterous voice.

“Soon we shall need a celebration, but for now-” Thor entered the kitchen, the large smile on his face somehow grew bigger. “Hello our dear Lady, how is your day so far?” Following behind him is Korg, a tall rock-made creature with an ironically soft disposition.

“Hello Thor,” you smile back at him. “My day has been well though now I’m just trying to get my mission report for Fury done.”

“How is your mission going so far? Are you taking time to explore and enjoy the city like I suggested?” Thor asked.

You sighed, “My work is my top priority Thor, I haven’t had much time to explore. But I will eventually, I promise.”

“My brother has been too difficult to work with, has he? Because I promise, I know he wants to change and work with-”

You cut him off, “He hasn’t been too much trouble. He’s just been… distant, I guess. It’s hard to fully know he’s goals and ambitions when he always tries to keep to himself.” Thor frowns at first, but then he slowly smiles again.

“Well you must talk to him then! Loki has been reclusive, yes. But I swear that if you try to reach out to him, you can see him for who he truly is.”

You stay quiet for a moment, before Korg speaks up. “We just saw him, he was looking over the water on the edge of the hill.”

You looked at Thor's hopeful gaze as he anticipated your response. “I'm hoping you're right, Thor,” you said as you stood from your chair.

Loki was far away enough from the city that all he could hear was the crashing of the waves below him and the calm wind moving through the tall green grass.

After this morning running into Valkyrie, he needed time to himself. Instead of going back to the house, he found this spot. A place where he had a birds eye view of the water, but was still surrounded by the rugged mountains.

“It's beautiful here,” you interrupt his thoughts.

“It's nothing like what Asgard was.”

“It was glorious wasn't it,” You said softly as you walked up next to him. The proximity makes him uncomfortable. “I'd never been to Asgard, you'd have to describe to me what it was like.”

“It was,” Loki quietly looked down. “But it doesn’t matter now that it’s gone, we simply have to move on.”

“How do you plan to move on Loki?” What are your goals here on Earth?” It came out more accusatory than you meant, but you couldn’t resist. You know so little about this man that you are required to watch for most of the day.

“Trust me, I am not going anywhere and I already tried world domination. Now if you’ll leave me be.” Loki said as he walked back towards the city.

“There is another title you are referred to as Mischief. God of Lies, is that correct?”

Loki paused. You were correct, there are many names referring to Loki. Many of the names now have negative connotations even if they just started as a descriptor. But the God of Lies title was always said with malice.

“Well you’ve created a problem, see, I could admit to being the God of Lies but that could be a lie or I could say I’m not and that could also be a lie. No matter what, you are not closer to the truth.”

But to Loki’s surprise, you laughed. “Maybe, but here's the thing, Loki.” You walked closer to him. “But I still like to know more about you, if you could-” you think to yourself for a moment. “If you would talk to me, I’d greatly appreciate it. I hear so many different stories about you.”

“And which ones do you think are the most accurate?” Loki asked, looking directly towards you.

“I don’t think any of them are fully accurate, some yes, have more truth to them. But I want to have my own perspective on who you are. I think that’s how I’ve lasted so long as a SHIELD agent,” You laugh quietly. “It gets me in trouble often, especially with Fury, but I know I need to trust my instincts and not assume everyone around me has the right answer. I need to discover for myself.”

“Fury certainly made an interesting choice sending you here.”

“Oh absolutely, do you know what he said to be when he assigned me this mission? ‘Loki annoys the hell out of me and so do you,’ In his mind it’s the perfect match I guess.” You try to hold in your laugh, but Loki just scoffed.

You continue, “We’re stuck with each other for who knows how long, Loki. We have to find a way to make it work.” You look up at him, focusing on the sharp angles of his face.

“I suppose so,” Loki begrudged.

After a few moments of silence, the two of you walk back to the house. You excuse yourself to work on your mission report and Loki goes upstairs to his room. He closes the door softly behind him and lays on his bed, his hands covering his eyes. “Norns, this woman will be the death of me.”

At the same time, on a far away planet called Chitauri Prime.

The Chitauri, tall gray monstrous creatures, are yelling at one another. In months since they lost their army leader, Thanos, they argued back and forth on how to move forward as species.

“We must continue to fight!” one Chitauri yells. “We will avenge our leader and kill anyone who ruined his plan!”

“Our army is weak now and there are too many that were against Thanos!” another yells. “We can not rush into battle, we have to be strategic about our first attack without our leader.”

“Then we will get a new leader.” Soon everyone turned to the older Chitauri, one who stopped fighting battles many years before Thanos was killed. “There is an option, one that we have not been ready for, but now it is time.”

Chitauri looked at each other, confused by what this elder was saying, but he continued, “We will have our leader, he is known as Warlord, he ruthlessness and brutally made us put him into hibernation. But we always knew there would be a time where he would need to fill a role no one else can.” The elder Chitauri walked up the stone steps to the platform, the Chitauri all stared up at him.

“And I know exactly where our first war will be. The downfall of Thanos is all due to one man, the dark prince of Asgard. He was the one that failed us, he is the reason Thanos never got the infinity stones. We were promised Earth if we helped Loki.” The Chitauri cheered, captivated by his speech.

“We will kill Loki and destroy Earth, to avenge our leader and bring honor back to our species.”

Walking up the stairs to your apartment, considering the elevator was broken and you couldn’t be bothered to complain to your landlord again, you sang along quietly to the song playing in your earphones. Once you reached your door, you unlocked it, stepping through only to drop your keys on the floor when you saw someone standing in front of you. Gasping, you looked up to meet his eyes.

“Oh my god it’s Captain America.” You exclaimed with faux excitement. “What on earth are you doing in my apartment?” You questioned as you pushed past him, making your way towards your kitchen. “In fact don’t even answer that, I’m not interested.”

“Y/n wait.” Steve called after you, following behind you. “We need your help.” He added as you opened your fridge, only to close it after he spoke. We? This could be interesting.

“Humour me, what’s the problem?” You asked, turning to face him.

“We’ve got a rouge prisoner and we need your help trapping him.” He answered.

“Firstly wow, how did a prisoner escape on your watch, secondly, no.” You scoffed.

“Please, we wouldn’t ask if we didn’t need your help. Come to the tower, at least hear us out.” He pleaded.

“How can I resist those baby blues?” You smiled, looking into Steve’s eyes causing a small smile to paint his own face. “Like this.” You added, flipping him off as you turned around, exiting your kitchen.

“That was uncalled for, now you’re just being a brat.” He sighed, following behind you.

“Oh Steve, don’t call me a brat, gets me all hot and bothered.” You teased, looking at him from over your shoulder. Blushing, Steve looked away from you to compose himself before talking again.

“Look y/n, this is dangerous, we need your help. You know I wouldn’t be here asking if we didn’t need it. I need you.” He spoke earnestly.

“Fine, I’ll come to the tower and hear you out. Happy?”

“Thank you.” He grinned.

“No, no, absolutely not.” You refused after listening to the plan.

“You might as well.” Tony shrugged.

“So let me get this straight. His brother goes missing.” You started, pointing at Thor.

“He escaped.” Thor corrected.

“His brother escaped and you want me to go and get him.” You continued.

“Seduce him.” Tony murmured.

“Why can’t Nat do it, she’s sexy?” You questioned, Natasha winking at you.

“Because he already knows what Natasha looks like.” Steve explained.

“I don’t get it, why don’t you all just go and get him?” You huffed.

“Right now Loki is staying in a busy hotel, if we ambush him, there could be a lot of collateral.”

“Plus a beautiful lady like yourself would surely be able to charm my brother, he’s always had a thing for—”

“Let me stop you right there.” You cut in, not caring for how Thor would finish the sentence. “So your brother is living it up in fancy hotel maxing out Starks credit card and hurting nobody. I say we just leave him there?”

“He’s unstable.” Thor replied.

“He seems fine.” You shrugged, watching some footage of him. “Cute even.”

“He’s crazy.”

“He’s suave.” You defended him.

“He’s a murderer.” Steve interrupted.

“I did always like the cute, crazy, murdery ones.” You sighed. “Fine, I’ll do it.” You decided causing everyone to feel relieved until you continued to speak. “For a price.”

“Argh, what?” Tony asked.

“I want bragging rights.”

“Absolutely not.” He shot back.

“Come onnn, if he’s as bad as you say, I should at least get that.”

After negotiating for your bragging rights, you spent the remainder of the night sleeping in the spare bedroom in the tower. No one else ever slept in there, it’s like it was reserved for you despite you barely ever staying. Unlike the rest of the avengers, you always felt a little like an outsider. Being an avenger wasn’t for you. They liked teamwork, you liked working alone. They liked being the good guys and you liked ensuring justice was served regardless of what the punishment entailed. There was a reason people like yourself were on reserve, you didn’t mind getting your hands dirty whilst the others, the hero’s, remained pure, the good guys.

The following day, you ate breakfast with the others whilst you ran through the plan again. You could fight but Thor warned you that Loki wasn’t like ordinary midgardians. As well as that, you had an evac team on standby incase things got out of hand with Loki. The team didn’t want any casualties but if worse came to worse, they’d have to step in, extract Loki themselves despite the people who’d be around. You all hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

Natasha helped you with your makeup after you both quickly left to pick up a dress. You had to look alluring, charming and sexy if you wanted to pull this short notice mission off. Nothing screamed sexy more than a pair of red bottoms so you picked up a pair of those as well as a high slit satin dress with a deep neckline. Once you were ready, you looked at yourself in the mirror, smiling at your reflection.

“Damn I look hot.” You spoke.

“Very.” Natasha grinned.

All that was left to do was go to the hotel and begin mission charm Mr tall dark and handsome.

Walking through the lobby, Loki smiled seductively at two ladies who were looking at him. They went red in the face when their eyes met his. Entering the casino hall inside the hotel, he picked up a glass of champagne being handed around by one of the waiters as he made his way towards the luxury poker table. He was ready to get his game on until his eyes landed on someone unfamiliar.

“I wanna put it all on red.” You spoke, pushing your chips towards the centre.

“Surely black has higher chances, it is the colour of class.” Loki spoke, standing next to you in a black suit. Your breath hitched when you heard him. No one warned you that he’d sound like that.

“I like red, it’s the colour of danger.” You answered.

“So you’re into danger?”

“Oh darling, you have no idea what I’m into.” You smirked.

“Allow me to buy you a drink.” He offered.

Once you were both at the bar, Loki held his hand out.

“I’m Lo-Logan.” He introduced himself and you had to bite your lip to stop yourself from laughing. Logan?

“Y/n.” You replied shaking his hand.

The rest of the night was spent quite pleasantly with Logan. You both continued drinking whilst winning a boatload of money, money that’d be going towards simply buying your landlord out of the whole building so you could fix the elevator yourself and not have to see him ever again. The longer you spoke with Loki, the more confused you were, he didn’t seem like the crazy killer type to you. Regardless, this was a mission and you had to ensure it all went to plan.

After a few more hours, Loki finally invited you back to his hotel room. You had already alerted the team that you were going into his room as you both waited for the elevator. The mission was all going to plan. You entered the room, kissing, eagerly pulling one another’s clothes off, ensuring that you left your bag on the bedside table. You found yourself wishing this wasn’t just a mission. You pushed Loki against the bed before straddling him. You were stripped down to your lingerie whilst he was in his boxers. You ran your hands over his toned abs causing him to bite his lip as he watched your movements with hooded eyes. You could feel his cock growing beneath you, a feeling that you’d be thinking about before bed for the foreseeable.

“Wanna have some fun?” You asked teasingly.

“With you.” He nodded, rolling his hips up against yours. Perhaps there was a way you could delay the team and go at least one round in with LoganLoki.

“Wait here.” You smiled before you got off of him and retrieved his tie from the floor before straddling him again.

“Oo, what are you going to do with that?” He asked, grin widening.

“I want to blindfold you.” You answered, placing the tie over his eyes. “Can you see anything?” He shook his head no. “Can I tie you up? It will be more fun that way.” You spoke, licking the shell of his ear.

“Yes!” He answered.

“Good boy.” You praised, ignoring how Lokis hips bucked up into yours. Damn, you wanted him badly. Reaching into your bag, you pulled out the cuffs Tony had made for you to use on him. Looking down at Loki, you mouthed a quick sorry before you cuffed his hands. Picking up your phone, you messaged the team the code word before them along with the extraction team got to work. Leaning down, your lips ghosted over his. “I’m sorry Loki.”

It has been months since you and Bucky ended things. Bucky was the one who wanted to end things. We need to break up...there is someone else...

Y/N can’t get those words out of her head. Every day she wondered what was wrong with her, was she not good enough? not pretty enough? did he cheat? or did he wait to get with this mystery girl after they broke up? what changed? did she do something that made him fall out of love? His words filled her mind for months but now she’s moving on.

It’s been 2 months since she started seeing other people. The first month was full of bad first dates, and nothing stuck. The guys wouldn’t care about conversations, didn’t care about getting to know her, they just thought they could pay for a meal and get her into their bed but that isn’t how Y/N works. She wasn’t looking for hookups, she just wanted another good man in her life. She was ready to take a break when she ran into Thor. Thor is a friend she met through Bucky and she has missed his presence. “Lady Y/N How are you today? I haven’t seen you in forever!” “Oh hi, Thor. I’m okay how have you been honey?” “I’ve been great Lady Y/N but I have been missing you. Oh, have you met my brother Loki? LOKI!” From the other side, Loki walked towards the two friends. With a look of bother, he grumbles “yes brother”

After his grumble, he looks up and freezes. Oh, my gods, this creature has to be a goddess. “Oh brother, who may this gorgeous specimen be?” With his hand out Loki bows himself down and holds Y/N’s own hand into his. Kissing the back of her hand gracefully while it is in his grasp. “Brother this is Y/N she’s a friend from work” “Y/N, such a beautiful name for such a beauty”.

A blush explodes across Y/N’s face and she is at a loss for words. Never in her life has she had a gentleman like this before her. Thor chuckles seeing her look of astonishment and pats Loki on his back harder than what would be considered as comforting. “Brother I think I should leave you and Lady Y/N to yourselves now. Lady Y/N it's been a pleasure seeing you again” Thor leaves the two of you with a mischievous grin. He noticed the look on Loki’s face and on yours as well.

Now alone with Loki, Y/N takes a better look at the man. He’s dressed in a black suit and his hair is the same black. His hair is about shoulder length. Even if he wasn’t a god he looks like one. Loki takes in Y/N’s appearance as well. She is a beauty. She is a bit shorter than him but she stands tall and strong. Y/N notices the look of adoration in his eyes and she feels herself blush all over again. It’s been a while since either of them has felt this way.

Loki and Y/N have been seeing one another for almost a month and that month has been fantastic for the both of them. They’re taking their relationship slow and steady, neither wants to rush and ruin things honestly, both are still in shock they have one another in their lives. Y/N accepted Loki for all of his flaws and loved him regardless of his past plans on taking over New York and the Earth. (how sweet of her). And Loki knew that she just had a nasty break up and he was the one who suggested to take things slow and he showed her what’s it’s like to be treated as a princess, because to him she was more than that, she was his queen. Thor was over the moon for the couple. “My best friend and my brother, oh how wonderful” He was so excited that he had Tony plan a dinner party to have everyone celebrate together regardless of what the couple wanted.

Tonight is the night of the party and even though Y/N knew Thor’s heart was in the right place she was dreading this party. She expressed her concerns to Loki and he was understanding. “Love, I know this isn’t ideal, but you get to see the friends you haven’t seen since Barnes and you broke up and I’ll be there to make sure you aren’t alone with him tonight.” Y/N knew Loki was right. She did miss her friends she made thanks to Bucky and she knew that Loki wasn’t going to leave her side tonight so she agreed. Y/N got dressed in a long dark green evening gown and Loki was dressed in the suit he was wearing the night they meet. “Darling you look absolutely ravishing,” Loki said with eyes filled with love Y/N kissed him softly as a thank you before telling him the same thing.

Arriving at the tower Y/N is whisked away by Wanda and Natasha while Loki is distracted by his brother and Bruce. “So how have things been? Thor told us all about you and Loki and you two look so cute” Wanda gushed and this was followed by Natasha saying “I’ll be honest I was concerned at first knowing his history but some of the things Thor told us and seeing you two tonight just confirmed that you two are good for each other.” Hearing her friends say how good of a couple here and Loki were melted her heart. “Awe you guys!” They gather into a big group hug while Loki was busy ignoring Thor and watching you from across the room. “You really love Lady Y/N don’t you brother” Hearing the word love made Loki’s eyes widen. Neither of you has confessed to loving the other, it was too soon for those words, but it was clear to the people around you and to one another that you loved each other. You both looked at one another with love in your eyes, you made sure that Loki’s things were nice and neat and made sure he took breaks to eat and hydrate and Loki did the same for you. Loki made sure you got regular sleep and never worked too hard and the both of you have shown nothing but support to one another when things got rough.

“Yes brother, I do love her”

What Loki didn’t know was that Bucky was behind him and overheard the confession. LOVE? They can’t be in love with each other yet, it's only been a month if that. Bucky got noticeably grumpy and started to close off from the people around him. If he was being honest to himself he missed you. The night he broke things off was a decent night for him. He went and announced that the two of you were broken up and he went out with the girl he was talking to. At first, things were good, great even, but then he realized how much he missed you, how much he needed you in his life. There was one night that was his breaking point though. Bucky has always had nightmares but he had you to help him work through them. The girl in his bed wasn’t helpful, once she realized what was happening she just left said she couldn’t handle his baggage. This was the moment he realized he would never do as good as you and he needed you back.

Bucky went to Steve the next day to talk about how he can get you back but that was the day Thor came and announced that his brother was in a relationship with his best friend. With you. Bucky didn’t want to believe it, he thought maybe it was a fling, a way for you to get over the breakup but now here he is listening to Loki talk about how amazing you were and how much he loves you. Bucky already knew how amazing you were he just realized it too late. Bucky decided it was time for him to go this wasn’t for him it was for the happy couple. As Bucky leaves he watches you walk over to Loki and throw your arms around his neck just like you use to do to him. The smile that graced your face from just being in Loki’s presence was bigger than it ever was when you saw him. She’s happier with him and that’s all that matters. With that thought, Bucky left without a trace.

Haiiiii :3 so I have a request but it's kind of dark and really specific so you might not be able to do it okay sooo

Angst, hurt/comfort, happy ending if you squint

Reader is an Avenger and is dating loki even though she had to fight him in the 2012 new York incident. Shes basically the glue holding the entire avengers team together, everyone loves her and she's probably the strongest avenger because she's a reincarnation of a really powerful goddess (yes this is important later on just shhh). The blip happens, loki has to go five years without her, and he handles it TERRIBLY. But when the blip ends, she doesn't come back. He freaks the absolute eff out and just falls even deeper into the depression that he went into when he first lost her. Nobody knows, but she's been kidnapped by Hydra and they are trying to use her as a weapon to take down the avengers by using mind control magic on her. One day a very powerful goddess like being wearing all black and wielding a scythe just shows up in new York kicking the avengers asses. Nobody knows who she is or where she came from but yup, you guessed it, it's her. Loki is the one who gets the (almost) killing blow on her, knock her out. He takes her mask off to reveal her identity and "OH MY GOD NO IT'S MY GIRLFRIEND I KILLED MY GIRLFRIEND" (he didn't) (she lives) (she's basically fine except for the fact she needs months to recover both physically and mentally, physical therapy, and normal therapy cuz girlies traumatized from being forced to try to kill her friends) (loki is convinced HE is the reason she needs therapy) he feels absolutely terrible for it and tries his best to help her with her physical therapy and everything else ((please keep it in character as much as possible cuz ik it's kind of out of character 😭))

It’s my fault

"Brother…we must do this" Thor placed a hand on Loki’s shoulder, his brother looked so lifeless ever since he lost you, actually everyone just looked broken in some form or another, you were the one person that made everyone get along.

Heck you were the first to get over the attack on New York when Loki came to earth mind controlled, you’re the one who convinced people to give him another chance.

The one he hopelessly fell in love with, the one he felt not judged or compared to anyone when he’s around, you saw Loki as the person he is, not some big ego madman but Loki, an intelligent sarcastic little shit who just needed someone to believe in him.

"It��s our only chance, don’t you want to get her back?"

Loki scoffed "as if I wasn’t trying already, you’re acting like I never tried and failed, why would this time be any different?"

Thor sighed pulling his brother up by the the shoulder, Loki groaned but didn’t fight back, he was way too emotional drained to do something right now.

"One last time, try one last time and if it doesn’t work, then You’re free to decide what to do by yourself but remember you would be doing it for her, not anybody else"

Loki’s green eyes soften, glazed with tears fighting to drop "One more time, then it’s over"

Thor smiled "just once"

And it happened, Tony’s plan, gathering the stones and facing the army of Thanos, almost dying once again but surviving and winning the war.

Many familiar faces came back but none of witch was yours, his last Hope died but fell into a bigger depression hole than the one he already dug for himself and Thor couldn’t do anything, he promised to stay out of his way, even if it meant leaving him to suffer alone.

Loki kept himself locked away, he didn’t eat or sleep, he just stared at the sky and lost himself in those sweet old memories.

It wasn’t until a certain attack on New York that somebody reached out for him, he was sure this was some dumb joke, because why would they need him? But it also meant that they were desperate.

A witch, someone so strong, someone he didn’t think could even be human, he didn’t know what she had against Midgard but he had to help or innocent people would die again.

He takes a few blows before finally hitting a building and recking it on top of her, she passed out cold.

He ran and took off her mask, his heart dropped and that awful bitter feeling creeped again, it was you, and he tucking almost killed you!

It took mere seconds before he could get your body out the ruble and straight to the hospital wing in the avengers tower.

You were unconscious for three days, three days of him just holding your hand and wishing upon whatever is there to wish upon to get you back.

When you did eventually open your eyes you looked scared and confused.

"What’s going on? Where am I? Everything hurts" Loki just holds you tight, ignoring all your questions and trying not to cry in front of you, you didn’t need to see that.

After some time it gets determined that you need exclusive physical and mental therapy, you apologize countless of times for what you did, The team ensures you that what’s important is you being back safe.

Loki blames himself, he beats himself up every time he sees you weak and fragile, you don’t understand why he’s being so harsh on himself but you’re a just glad he’s by your side.

He attends physical therapy with you, you relay on his strong grip and take your time "thank you, I don’t know I would’ve done without you"

Loki gives you a painful smile "you have no idea how much time I spent missing you and I don’t care if it takes you more years to be fine as long as I know that you’re here"

Summary: it was time for another Stark party at the stark tower and Loki wants to ask Y/N to be his date and is nervous she will say no but things work out & during the party they admit their feelings for each other

~Loki’s POV~

I cannot believe my brother Thor convinced me to join him at one of Stark’s parties tonight though I heard agent Y/N would be there so I planned on asking her to attend the party as my date though I wasn’t sure how to. I went to go find Thor and said “brother I wanna ask agent Y/N to be my date for the gathering tonight but I’m worried she’ll say no.” Thor patted my shoulder and said “Loki I see the way miss Y/N looks at you everytime you talk to her, she won’t say no brother I guarantee it go ask her and bring her flowers women love it.” I smiled already feeling more confident to asking her and said “thank you my dear brother, you’ve been an immense help I will go ask her right now.” I went to go pick out a bouquet of flowers for Y/N before going to talk to her and once I found the right one I headed over to talk to Y/N hoping she’d be my date tonight.

~Y/N’s POV~

I was picking out a dress to wear for Tony’s party tonight and I kept hoping Loki was gonna be at the party though I knew parties were not his thing and if Loki wasn’t gonna be there I wasn’t too excited about going. Natasha came in the room and saw I hadn’t done my makeup yet and said “girl you’re dressed but you haven’t finished getting ready come on we only have a few hours come on we’ll have fun tonight I promise.” I got up to get my makeup kit knowing she was right I shouldn’t stay in my room and feel sorry for myself knowing the one person I really liked probably didn’t like me back. I started working on my makeup and said “you’re right Nat we’ll have fun.” but then I heard a knock on the door and got up to see who was there.

I opened the door and it was Loki holding a bouquet of flowers and he looked nervous, Loki looked at me with a smile and said “wow agent.. you look absolutely beautiful, oh and these are for you. I came to ask if you would do me the honor of being my date to Stark’s party tonight?” I felt so surprised he came to ask me to be his date or that he was even going to the party. I took the flowers from him and smelled them and looked back at Loki blushing feeling excited and said “I would love to Loki! I didn’t think you were gonna be coming tonight.” Loki shrugged and said “well darling I heard you were gonna be there tonight and I really wanted to take the opportunity to spend time with you agent, so if you are willing I’d love for you to be my date.” I walked over to hug him and said “I would love to Loki, I’m so glad you’re coming tonight.” Loki smiled at me and said “I’m looking forward to it miss Y/N, see you soon.” Loki left and I stood by the door feeling so hally he would come pick me up later and Natasha said “oh he definitly likes you honey.” I had doubts about that and got working on my makeup while looking at Nat through the mirror and said “Nat I don’t know, he’s probably just being nice.” I finished doing my make up and curled my hair a bit & Nat came over to help with the curling iron and said “Y/N he really likes you I could see it in his eyes when you hugged him honey, plus he brought you flowers I’m telling you there’s something between the two of you.” I was hoping she was right about that I really liked Loki and wanted to tell him how I felt during the party but I was scared I’d make things awkward. I saw Natasha with her outfit on and said “oh Nat wow! Bruce will love it!! You look beautiful.” Natasha hugged me and said “You look gorgeous too honey, I bet Loki will be here any minute for you.”

*knock knock*

I felt really nervous when I heard someone was at the door so I told myself “ok, relax Y/N he will love you just be yourself.” I opened the door and there he was in a really handsome suit and that adorable smile. Loki said “hello Y/N are you ready to go?” I smiled and walked out the door and said “ready as I’ll ever be, let’s go.” Loki took my hand in his and we walked out to where the party was and Thor saw us and came over and said “hello brother and agent Y/N it is good to see you.” I nodded and said “likewise Thor.” Loki leaned over to whisper in my ear and said “could we talk alone for a minute agent, I wanna talk to you about something.” I looked at him nervously nodding my head and we walked over to a more quiet area and we sat down on a couch and Loki said “Y/N, I’m not very good at expressing how I feel to someone but the reason I asked you to be my date for tonight for the party is because I wanted you to know how I truly feel about you, I have liked you for sometime now. When you are around and we talk I feel like I can truly be myself and I smile a lot more when you are around and I would do anything to make you happy Y/N I care about you dearly.”

I couldn’t believe Loki likes me, I felt like I had butterflies in my stomach and I couldn’t help smiling at him and I took a chance and kissed him. Loki blushed and said “does this mean you feel the same way darling?” I nodded and said “yes Loki, I really like you I’ve had these feelings for you for a while, I was just nervous you didn’t feel the same way and that I’d make things weird if I said anyt-“ loki cut me off by cupping my face in his hands and kissed me and said “my love you could never make anything weird or uncomfortable. Nothing you’d ever do or say will scare me off I promise Y/N, I love you so much I’m not going anywhere.” Before anything else could happen we heard music started playing and Loki stood up and held his hand out and said “may I have this dance my lady?” I smiled taking his hand and got up and said “of course you may sir, I would love to dance.” Loki guided us to the dance floor and pulled me close to his body and swayed us back and forth while looking deep in my eyes and said “I am so glad you’re here with me tonight my love.” I leaned my head on his shoulder smiling and said “I am too Loki, I love you.” I’m so happy that Loki and I finally got our happy ending, going to Stark’s party was definitly worth it I never wanted the moment to end.

Sociopath Profile: MCU Thanos

Appearances: The Avengers (2012, cameo), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2014, cameo), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) Played by: Josh Brolin, Sean Gunn (motion capture), Damian Poirtier (2012)

While he isn’t exactly the perfect example of sociopathy with his genuinely good intentions and sympathetic characterization, there is no doubt made that what he is doing is absolutely ruthless. The Russo brothers described him as a “benevolent sociopath” and I can see that interpretation quite well while looking over his character once more.

[SPOILERS BELOW]

While he does have some empathy in the fact that he’s trying to help save the universe from itself, his methods come across as absolutely callous in nature. He plans mass genocide on a universal scale simply to help with the dwindling resources. He spent years searching for the Infinity Stones to finally achieve this and spent years slaughtering and conquesting to do it. All because he thought it would be helpful. He claims that it must be indifferent slaughter to be equal and balanced, but that also shows more of his callousness.

As you might imagine, anyone with a more sound mind might have thought of just maybe making more resources with the snap. However, this reflects another issue of his: his pride. He’s so convinced that he’s right about his plan after what happened on Titan that he cannot be swayed. He says that when he succeeds, he will watch the sun rise over a grateful universe. Even when his 2014 self comes to the present in Endgame and sees that people are still trying to fight, he deduces that the issue is that nobody is grateful as long as they know what is lost, so he decides to wipe out all life instead and restart from the ground up. It may seem that he just wanted to give an “I told you so” to the people of Titan for not listening to him and proving himself right.

This moves to another one of Thanos’ symptoms, his inability to accept blame. He does have some regrets for all the slaughter, but he believes it was all necessary to help the universe. This is his way of rationalizing his terrible actions. Convincing himself that he is doing the right thing. When people inevitably have a problem with what he does, he thinks that they’re ungrateful and not that he’s a borderline lunatic for thinking of such an idea.

It is exactly why he is able to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. He has no limits as to what he will do to ensure that his plan gets accomplished. While it is clear that the morality issue still has him plagued, he believes he is the only one with the will to see it through. What he fails to realize is that he’s the only one with the warped mindset to think of it in the first place.

He does have superficial charm and manipulative talents considering that he has so many followers working for him. Then again, the fact that many of them have tried to kill him or stab him in the back in some way might show that he’s not as good at it as he thinks he is. Nonetheless, he still doesn’t come off like the lunatic that everyone paints him as. The Mad Titan surely is mad in his beliefs and behavior, but not in his tone. He speaks calmly and rationally, but this may also be a sign of how warped his mindset is. He speaks calmly because he sees very little issue with what he does.

Above all, even after we see him taking a peaceful retirement, even destroying the stones to ensure he doesn’t use them again, he is still fully convinced that he did the right thing. Thanos does not waver in his convictions even a little bit. He does show some remorse for treating Nebula too harshly just before Thor lobs his head off, but that only comes after she commends his honesty, something that might just be feeding his ego. And his 2014 counterpart in Endgame shows that he never saw his years of mass-murder as personal, but said to Cap that he’d enjoy destroying his “stubborn, annoying little planet” for trying to undo his so-called good work.

While his heart may be in the right place, his mind definitely is not.

Treating Myself as A Writer: Wholesome Brodinsons and holiday fluff.

A New Asgard Brodinson Christmas*

Loki: You didn't.

Thor: [grinning]. I did.

A Christmas tree of generous width is in the living room covered in red and green ornaments. And because Midgard is Midgard [and Thor is cheeky] there are matching Thor and Loki ornaments. The 'star' is a tiny plastic Mjolnir. 🎄 🌟

Loki: Is that...is that little green man supposed to be me?

Thor: It is you, brother! And the other is me. Can't you see the likeness? [Strikes a triumphant pose and grin to match his ornament].

Loki: ...[pinches the bridge of his nose with a sigh]. I am going to shower. And ponder why the Norns saw fit to give me such an oaf for a brother. [Ignores Thor's pout at his lack of enthusiasm].

Later, Loki and Bruce*

Loki: It's completely ridiculous. Asgard doesn't recognize 'Christmas'. Are we to indulge every mortal holiday simply because we live on Midgard now?

Bruce: [anxiously sipping on hot chocolate with a straw]. I-really am probably not the best person to ask...y'know...[waves hand and points to self with an awkward chuckle]. Mortal.

Loki: [without missing a beat, waves a dismissive hand]. I forgive you.

Bruce: [brow furrows].

Loki: He's been to Midgard before, he was mortal before. Why now all the fuss? He bought a Santa Claus costume. There's tinsel hanging from the ceiling and an inflatable Santa penguin outside our dwelling. It's madness!

Bruce: [clicks tongue and rubs the back of his neck] Look...[sighs heavily] This is your first Christmas since...yanno. You...came back. I think maybe he...just wants to make it special for you? [Sees Loki frowning and clears throat] ...maybe?

Loki: But I don't care about Christmas.

Bruce: [muttering] Shorter list is things you do care for but anyway-

Loki: [narrows eyes] -What was that?

Bruce: Nothing! He cares about you. That's what I was saying. Just trying to do something nice for you?

Loki: [blinks incredulously].

Bruce: Is that so hard to believe?

Loki: Quite frankly, that's no business of yours, Bruce.

Bruce: You came to me!

Loki: Even gods make mistakes, evidently. Enjoy your...liquid confection.

Bruce: [shaking his head as Loki disappears].

Loki: [disguises self as Bruce] If you want something done right...do it yourself as someone else. [Finds Thor adding more decorations outside and humming Christmas carols]. Heya, pal.

Thor: Banner! What do you think? [Gestures to the decorations with a grin].

Loki-Bruce: Truly a sight to behold...ah, buddy.

Thor: Right?! I used a lot of green. Hopefully Loki will like it. He didn't seem fond of our tree.

Loki-Bruce: Our tree? I had nothing to do with it!: He didn't? That's a shame. But I mean, you guys don't really celebrate Christmas, do you?

Thor: [exhales slowly and grimaces] Not really. Asgardians tend to find mortal traditions...

Loki-Bruce: Absurd? Nonsensical?

Thor: [brow furrows]. That's...one way of putting it.

Loki-Bruce: [imitates awkward chuckle] The right way.: Is it important that Loki...likes this? [Gestures vaguely towards the house].

Thor: [hesitates and then sighs as he sits on the end of his ladder]. He hasn't been...back for long. And we really haven't...talked about anything...meaningful, you know?

Loki-Bruce: I'm not sure I do.

Thor: [wrings hands a bit in a fidgety gesture] He hasn't even told me if he plans to stay.

Loki-Bruce: [eyes widen] W-...Did he give you reason to think he wouldn't?

Thor: [rueful, half-hearted chuckle]. The past decade, for starters?

Loki-Bruce: You could try asking him?

Thor: The thing is, the harder I try to bring him closer, the more he tends to run away. What if I ask and he feels compelled to...pull a Loki?

Loki-Bruce: [scrunches nose] Did you just use m-his name as a...thing?

Thor: [shrugs]. There's not much I can do for him here. No magical tomes to quest for. No gryffin talons he needs for some sorcerous working. Compared to life as a prince on Asgard...life here is...mundane. I can appreciate it but...I'm not sure my brother can. Still, I thought if I cannot do for him what I might have done in our youth...I could try to make our new home special for him. If he even considers it 'our' home.

Loki-Bruce: [swallows hard] I see.

Thor: You good, Banner? You're looking a little...[makes iffy hand gesture]

Loki-Bruce: Too much hot chocolate. In fact, I gotta, go...right now.

Thor: [lifts brow] Alright, see you at the dining hall tonight?

Loki-Bruce: Wouldn't miss it! [Leaves quickly and shifts back to himself out of sight].

Loki makes himself scarce for the next week leading up to Christmas and asks to borrow Stormbreaker to go off-realm. Thor is reluctant but agrees and doesn't see Loki for two days. He isn't back on Christmas Eve and Thor goes to bed fearing that his brother has indeed 'pulled a Loki'.

Christmas Morning*

Christmas music plays loudly in the living room and startles Thor awake. He cautiously leaves his room to find Loki sitting on the couch, reading casually.

Thor: Loki!

Loki: [doesn't look up from book]. Oh, good morning. Did the music wake you? I was in the mood for background noise but the wretched little radio will play nothing but carols.

Thor: [enthusiasm wanes, makes himself smile]. Well, it is Christmas, brother.

Loki: [looks up with a frown]. Oh, is that today? Hm. I suppose that explains why no one has risen yet.

Thor: [sighs quietly to himself, not sure if he should feel disappointed or that he failed in his 'mission'.] I have a few things for you, under the tree.

Loki: You got me Christmas presents?

Thor: [faintly annoyed expression] You need not sound so bothered. If you don't want them-

Loki: -No, no. Far be it from me to decline gifts. [Makes a gimme gesture].

Thor: [tempted to smother Loki with a blanket. Gives him the presents instead].

First present is a black and green leather-bound case with dual-level compartments. One of the compartments has a sprig of mistletoe.

Thor: For spell-working ingredients. Or whatever you might wish to store.

It's been a long time since Thor was thoughtful towards Loki's sorcery instead of mocking, Loki is touched.

Loki: How very useful, brother. I'm impressed. [Casual tone].

Next present is a dark green sherpa wrap.

Thor: I know the cold rarely bothers you but...you enjoy wrapping yourself. Especially in my hoodies. [Says wryly].

Loki: [primly] I'm sure I don't know what you mean. [Puts the wrap on, also casually]. It is rather soft. [Concedes].

Next present is an old-fashioned polaroid camera.

Loki: [studying it].

Thor: You've expressed interest in old technologies. And I thought it might amuse you.

Loki: My brother, thinking. [Little smile to show he's teasing and Thor huffs but smiles too].

Last present is a braid of hair with a few, silver charms with arcane symbols woven in.

Loki: A...braid?

Thor: It was Mother's.

Loki: [freezes].

Thor: She made it for me centuries ago, after the time I took a poisoned arrow. She charmed it for-

Thor: I had it in my armor on Svartalfheim...when Jane and I returned I left it in her keeping since I didn't know what reception to expect from Father. Or should I say you.

Loki: [clears throat].

Thor: She returned it not long after I arrived.

Loki: I see...but this was made for you, it's far too precious to be given to just anyone. The braid of the last true queen of Asgard.

Thor: [crouches down in front of Loki and folds Loki's fingers over it] Our mother. And I'm not giving it to just anyone. I'm giving it to you, Loki.

Loki: ...hm...[lips tighten into a thin line. Face looks similar to in the elevator on Sakaar].

Thor: [smiles and squeezes Loki's hands affectionately]. Merry Christmas, brother.

Loki: [blinks rapidly, eyes are wet]. Yes, well...I...thank you. For the gifts. [Coughs] I didn't realize it was Christmas, but ironically, I was able to finish something I've been working on. I suppose you may consider it a Christmas gift, if it pleases you. Although it is simply a coincidence.

Thor: [trying not to smile in a 'I know my little brother is lying through his teeth way'.] Of course. [Solemn tone and Loki looks at his brother 'suspiciously'].

Loki: Now hold still. This will hurt.

Thor: Wha-Ow! Loki! You...I...eye...what did you... [blinking and poking near his eye with a look of amazement].

Loki: Hence my absence and need for Stormbreaker. The sorcery needed to restore your eye was no small feat, Thor. You are exceedingly lucky to have such a talented and generous sorcerer for a-[is smushed in a hug]

Thor: [cups the back of Loki's head in his palm and leans their heads together. Plays off a phrase he used to tell Loki in their childhood] The luckiest brother in all the realms.

Loki: [silently slides arms up to reciprocate, presses his face into Thor's shoulder].

Thor: Thank you, Loki.

Loki: ...[faintly muffled] You're welcome, brother...[pulls back enough to look at Thor and their foreheads are nearly touching]. By the way. We're going to need to make some...renovations.

Thor: Renovations?

Loki: This home will do in the short term. But at the very least I must have a room for my books and experiments. And to lock you out.

Thor: ...

Loki: ...

Thor: What are you saying?

Loki: [frowns] Must I spell it out for you?

Thor: Yes. [Bluntly, hopefully].

Loki: [huff of 'great inconvenience']. If this is where we're going to be living for the foreseeable future then I need certain-Thor!-will you-brother! Must you-oof!

Thor: [squeezing Loki to bits, rubbing their heads together a bit, and big, rumbling laughs of happiness]. I love you, brother. I will spell it out for you. Since you felt the need to come to me as Bruce to speak with me.

Loki: [mouth falls open. eyes narrow] You deceitful-

Thor: -I don't want to hear that from you, little brother. [Grinning].

Loki: [drawls] You don't wish to hear that I reciprocate your childish sentiment? Then I suppose I won't say 'I love you too'. [Shrugs like he didn't just actually say it] [Thor beams and Loki will never admit it tempts him to say it again because the sight of his careworn big brother looking so happy over Loki expressing affection is heart-warming].

By the night time, Loki is wrapped in his sherpa with Frigga's braid in a place of honor so both brothers can see it. He encased it in break-proof, sorcerous glass. The brothers worked out how to use the polaroid, and Thor promptly comandeered his brother's present to take a number of pictures. Including one of a grinning Thor with his arm around Loki's neck, pulling Loki against him in a one-armed hug while Loki gives a crooked 'reluctant' smile with his hand gripping Thor's wrist.

And if Loki used sorcery to make himself a copy and put it in his pocket dimension with a protection spell...well, what is magic for?

Thor's copy was attached to their fridge with a magnet. Along with many more photos to come. Loki feigned complaint, but Thor has caught his brother smiling at the photos when he thought his brother wouldn't notice.

The brothers played silly, Midgardian board games while reminiscing about fond memories until sunrise. At which point they fell asleep mid-game, curled up next to each other like they were boys again.

# One

Because the Universe was never kind. And because Dirk Gently knew what it was to feel directionless. But he never felt as directionless as he felt at this moment. He never felt as drowned into the void, as thrown into the abyss of the nothingness, as alone facing the beginning of the end, as he felt at this moment. Because right now, the Universe was silent. And it never was a good omen.

The constant buzzing inside his head was gone. Muted. Far away. Unreachable. Gone.

The thing is, it wouldn't be so concerning if it had happened during a case or a stressful situation like, let's say, *Blackwing*, but no.

Dirk Gently woke up like he did every morning, in his bed, in his appartement, at the Ridgley's, and the Universe was just gone.

Well, he knew it wasn't just *gone*, the Universe didn’t just stop existing, it doesn't work like that (what does work like that anyway) it just stopped its static, its constant buzzing and its pull and its *voices* and-

His phone started buzzing. Because of course it did.

“Yes Todd, I'm awake” he yawned through his phone.

“Dude, where are you, it's like, wait, it's past 3, I’m waiting for you?”

Already this late? He didn't realized he was this late, he didn't realized he didn't even tried to get out of his bed actually. He sighed.

“Dirk? You there?” Todd seemed slightly concerned. But it was an assumption and Dirk didn't like doing assumptions when he was late, without the Universe nudging his back and-

“Dirk, just get your ass up here” Todd seemed now less concerned and more annoyed.

“Yes Todd, right away Todd!

- And bring coffee!

- Coffee?!

- Yes we got a case, now come on dude!”

Dirk started getting up.

“A case? Are you sure about that?

- What do you mean I'm sure about that?

- Nevermind, getting coffee, wait woops- stupid table, bye Todd”

By new case Dirk didn’t excepted this: a man, falling from a strange magical door, working for the TVA, landing directly in the office of the agency.

“Where is Mobius ? Where am I? Who are you ? What the Hel happened again? What- - Hey there slow down would you mate ? My name is Todd, and this is my friend Dirk, he’s a detective- - Yeah about that- - Shut it! As I said he’s a detective. And you who are you? Who is Mobius ? - What year are we, what is this place, is this Midgard ? Dirk took a big inspiration, - Midgard ? Waitwaiwaiwait are you like from Asgard ? Thor etc ? - Thor’s my brother, yes.

Big silence in the room

- So you are telling me you are Loki, correct ? Asked Dirk - I didn’t say anything. - Oh yes you did! - No I did not! Nevermind I’m leaving forget about me, got business to do. Todd scaugh, - No I mean, what the Hell was that door, who are you working with, are you planning total annihilation again ? - What the fuck Todd ? - I’m serious, this man tried to enslave humanity once! - IT WASN’T- it wasn’t, I wasn’t really myself at this period of the timeline, please I need to find my partner let me go at once! - Your partner, is he Asgardian too ? - ENOUGH! - Todd stop please. Look, Sir, we are a detective agency, maybe we can help you found your partner ? - I really doubt that. - I mean, you quite landed in my office - I’m sorry about that ? Wasn’t part of the plan. - And what was the *plan* then ? - I’m not telling you, for the last time, let me go, there is no need for violence but you won’t stop me for long. - Alright alright chill man, you can go - Sir, if you ever need a detective don’t hesitate

Loki rolled his eyes - “sir” .

He started walking away when one question remained unresponded: - Actually, could you tell me at least what the year is ? Dirk and Todd exchanged gazes. - 2023, Sir - Crap” He walked away.

Okay, so in this story Levi works for Tony Stark, even though they don't always get along (cuz I genuinely don't think they would), and reader is Thor and Loki's younger sister, so he falls for her after Tony and Thor's fight in the first Avengers (maybe they fight against each other too) and Levi tries to woo her, but he has to have both Asgardian Gods approval.

(Bonus if they start learning abt the earth and pop culture and stuff together)

He my lovely, I hope you don't mind but I'm gonna twist this a little as your suggest was the past and now they're a couple they have to talk to Loki and Thor about them being together. I'll give a snippet of how they met.

The meeting.

Pairing: Levi x Reader

Genre and tags: Marvel AU, modern AU, romance, being a couple, brothers being a pain, fluff, cute.

Concept: You and Levi met when Thor and Tony butted heads to get Loki home. During your fight, you and Levi just clicked. You both secretly date without your brothers knowing and Levi teaches you about Earth and Earth people. You both decide to meet Thor and Loki to tell them the news that you and Levi are a couple. Things don't do as smooth as you plan.

Again, sorry if I butcher this, I don't normally do crossovers.

You twisted and pointed your spear at the neck of a raven-haired beauty with dark green armour and white on. You noticed two wings as a symbol on his armour, which to you either meant freedom or the valkyries.

Levi grabbed the end of the spear as he panted. "You're beautiful."

You blushed. "As are you."

"Levi."

You lowered your spear as Thor and Tony flew past. You gave your name and offered your hand. "I don't understand why they are fighting so much, my brother was a bit of an ass."

Levi stood up and bumped chests with you. "He is an ass."

You blushed a little. "You're strong."

He cleared his throat. "I might be working with Tony because of my tech skills, but I am a super soldier."

You slapped your hand on his chest making his cheeks burn. "You are a fine specimen of a man."

"Th-thank you."

You grabbed his bicep and squeezed. "I like this and you." You looked Levi in the eyes. "We should date."

Levi nodded. "Yes, yes we should."

You hummed a laugh as you put your spear on your back. "Show me what it is like on Earth. I am very interested. My brother has been here often, but I have not as they protect me so much."

He walked at your side and felt his heart fluttering in his chest. "Sure. Are you hungry?"

"Starved."

He smiled and pulled you close. "My suit has jets on. I might be super strong, but flying helps. Hold on."

You hugged his neck. "Let's go!"

Levi flew up and over to the city. He landed safely and took you to a nice ramen place under the strong gaze. He ordered for you both and told you about etiquette with humans. "Got it?"

You nodded. "No smashing plates or cups. I did hear from my brother he did so in a place."

"Are you related to Thor and Loki?"

You shook your head. "I am adopted, like my brother Loki."

"Right, right." He ruffled the hair on the back of his head. "Sorry, I'm not used to this whole dating thing and umm...I don't normally see someone and say I want to date them."

You smiled. "I understand. Sometimes things just click. Blame it on the stars."

He reached over and held your hands. "The stars are good."

You squeezed his hands. "I cannot wait to learn about Earth as I spend time with you."

You held Levi close as you travelled to Asgard. You smiled at him when you arrived and saw he looked a little sick. "Worry not, my love. All people have the same reaction."

He sighed. "I'm alright." He pulled you close. "As long as I'm with you."

You hugged his side. "You are very sweet."

"Are your brothers going to be okay with me?"

You hummed in thought as you both approached Asgard. "Well, Loki is currently locked up in a cell so he might be rather grumpy. Thor will want to arm wrestle so he can see if you are strong. It might be a pain."

Levi kissed the back of your hand. "Well, I want you to know that I am staying with you and I won't leave you."

"I don't intend on letting you go either." You gasped and ran along with Levi when you saw Frigga. "Mother!"

Frigga opened her arms to you. "My darling, hello." She squeezed you tightly. "Good to see you." She let you go and looked at Levi. "Ah, this is the young man you told me about."

"Yes. Levi? This is my mother."

Levi shook her hand. "Honoured to meet you. Your daughter talks about you a lot."

Frigga smiled. "Bless. You are a fine man. Odin will approve, it's just my sons."

You hugged Levi's arm. "I knew you and father would be okay." You kissed Levi's cheek. "You'll be just fine."

Levi nodded. "I hope so. I'm committed to you. I love you deeply and I'm in this for life."

You blushed. "Me too."

Frigga led the way. "Odin? Your daughter is home."

Odin approached you and pulled you close for a hug. "My only sweet daughter. Are you well?"

"I am." You pulled back and smiled. "This is Levi."

Odin looked Levi over, then shook his hand. "You have a strong soul. Good to meet you. Take care of her or there will be trouble."

Levi bowed. "I swear I'll protect her."

"I can see your strength. I have faith. Come! We have a feast to celebrate."

You kissed Levi's cheek a few times. "This is amazing."

Levi smiled. "I'm glad your parents like me." He sighed and joined you at the large table. "Next is your brothers."

You sat next to Levi. "That's the hard part." You smiled when Thor entered. "Hi, Thor."

Thor stopped. "Your words are not of your homeland."

You blushed. "Well, I've been on Earth."

"Earth?"

You gulped hard when Loki was escorted into the room with chains on. "Loki."

Loki glared at Levi. "So, this is what you've been doing all this time? You've been tainted and corrupt by those disgusting things."

"Loki!"

"You were entrapped by him. What magic does he use?"

You stood up. "No magic! I fell in love with him when you were being a selfish prick on Earth!"

Loki slammed his hand on the table. "Those Midgardian scum needed someone to control them, a God."

"You're no God."

Loki glared at Levi. "He is not worthy."

Thor folded his arms. "I stand with Loki, he is not worthy of you."

You gritted your teeth. "Oh, so you could date Jane and I can't date Levi!? That's so unfair!"

He summoned his hammer. "He doesn't lay another hand on you. We fight for you, now."

You summoned your spear. "You will not fight him! If you are going to fight anyone, it's me."

"I refuse."

"I am not some weakling. I love him and I will marry him."

Odin stood and made his voice boom. "Enough!" He sighed as you all calmed down. "Loki and Thor, do you care for your sister?"

Both answered. "Yes."

"Do you want her to be happy?"

"Yes."

Odin smiled. "Then it is decided. She will continue to be romantically involved with Levi."

You lowered your spear. "If I was told no about being with Levi, then I would happily give up my title and my spear."

Thor walked over to Levi and put his hammer down. "Pick it up."

Levi stared at it. "Why?"

"Pick it up."

Levi sighed. He grabbed the hammer and lifted it. "Now what?"

Thor took the hammer back. "You're worthy, more than worthy."

"Am I missing something?"

You smiled. "Only Thor has been able to lift the hammer."

"Oh...okay."

You wrapped your arms around Levi's neck. "You're perfect."

He smiled. "You are."

Loki groaned. "This is awful, but my sister's happiness matters more to me. Break her heart and we break you."

Levi held you close. "I understand. I won't break her. Besides, if I did break her heart she'd be the one hurting me."

You giggled. "I would."

Odin smiled. "Let us feast and celebrate! Welcome to our family, Levi of Midgard."

"Earth."

He cleared his throat. "Of Earth."

This Week’s Horrible-Scopes

It’s time for this week’s Horrible-Scopes! So for those of you that know your Astrological Signs, cool! If not, just pick one, roll a D12, or just make it up as you go along. It really doesn’t matter.

I want to preface this with I love Gunn's work with the guardians a lot. I know he's been the best for them in the mcu. I do believe he put a lot of love in vol 3. That said I have seen a lot of people blaming the Russo Brothers choices in IW for any messy parts of vol 3 and the thing is James Gunn wasn't helpless. He was a producer on IW/EG. He's talked about how he had to sign off on what happened and he's said that he did so because it served the story they were telling. This isn't me saying he's a bad guy or that he's never made good choices for Gamora. This is me saying that there were too many people who looked at Gamora's story as an abuse survivor and decided to prioritize her abuser and making him sympathetic. Gamora died all alone at the hands of her abuser while the spirit of a Nazi watched everything. None of that was necessary. There were other ways to make Thanos sympathetic. Or better idea is to not try to make an abusive genocidal maniac sympathetic

I do believe Gunn didn't love the choice and there probably was a lot of professional courtesy involved where he didn't want to knock what they wanted to do. But that still doesn't change that there are way too often biases in whose stories get priority and whose don't. I think women continue to be the ones most likely to lose out. There was no way that Steve Rogers or Thor for example were having their story end like Gamora's. especially not without any sort of intense emotional follow up. I don't think Gunn would have been keen on Rocket dying the way Gamora did either. Can't imagine Peter ending his time with guardians barely knowing who they were in a story he helped build. None of this means Gunn hasn't predominantly done amazingly well with gotg. It's just an example of how it often takes more effort and mindfulness to see the bigger picture of choices that get made for some characters.

The other issue is that there is an entire documentary on Disney about women in the mcu and Gamora is featured. The whole episode about her credits her for being essential to the guardians team and how she's the moral backbone. It also talks about how special her relationship with Nebula is. I loved the documentary but it made it even more obvious how awful killing her off was. She is the guardians. What she stood for, what she wanted out of life, what she wanted for herself, all of it embodies being a guardian and as much as I like vol 3 and love Rocket getting his time to shine, Gamora was the absolute last character who should have ended the trilogy only just beginning to have a new attachment to all of that. The very fact that there are people now arguing about if she has the right to be a guardian anymore goes to show what's depicted on screen matters.

gunn definitely isn't blameless, for sure; he signed off on it, and if his recent interviews are to be believed, actually had a plan to kill gamora off in vol 2 originally. (though part of me is like... that death for her would've been better than the one we ended up getting, because at least she would've gone out fighting of her own volition, and not murdered by her abuser with all her agency taken away, but that's a conversation for another day. still stupid af and why did she have to die at all, but... god lol, the bar is on the ground for anything being better than "murdered by her own abuser and thrown off the fucking fridge cliff.")

i think the issue here is we have a bunch of cishet white male creators, gunn included, who get this idea of, like, "oh this would be cool in the story," and don't have a good handle on their own internalized misogyny; this story would've never happened to peter, and it would've never happened to rocket, but.... sighs.

i love gunn's work, and he's gotten better over time (i really recommend peacemaker, especially, that show is really indicative of how much he's grown as a creator), but, yeah. it's not 100% the fault of markus and mcfeely/the russos, with gunn totally blameless.

Beauty and the Beast (Loki x Reader) Part Nine

Summary: (Name) grew up in a small village in Vanaheim. When she was a small child barbarian men attacked the village and most of the people remembers a beast which killed the barbarians. No one remembers where the beast came or where it disappeared. (Name) knows the beast however, like no one else. Now, after fifty years, Prince Thor of Asgard visits the village searching for a maid who wouldn’t get scared of his brother and who would make sure that the younger prince would get up in time and would attend to the events and meetings he needs to. The blonde arrives right after (Name)’s father throws her out and tells her never to return. (Name) is in need of a roof above her head and money so she accepts the offer because well, she doesn’t really have a choice.

The sky was grey above telling you that there will be a storm soon. You sat in front of Loki, his arms hugging your waist as his thighs were pressed against the outer side of yours. His horse, Aemis liked you because you gave him the apples you brought with you. Of course the other horses wanted to have one also so you cut it into pieces. Each horse got a piece. You loved animals too much and it showed.

You were almost at the fields the barbarians took from Asgard when Thor decided to settle down for the night. You shared a tent with Sif but you had a hard time falling asleep with how Volstagg was snoring. All of you decided to stick to the plan Thor came up with. When the sun emerged from the horizon you watched Loki and Thor leave your camp a few miles from the barbarian camp. You had to wait now for them to signal for you if they had some problem or for them to return with the princess. It was hard and somewhere you weren't sure if it was a good idea coming with them but you wanted Loki safe yet there he was riding away on Aemis, his green cape waving behind him like the sea.

'Be safe.' you whispered watching his form get smaller and smaller until you couldn't see him anymore.

Loki's PoV.

The raven haired prince was ready to pay back the barbarians for the injuries that sent him to bed for so long. It was too long and he was still weak if he was tired and he got tired by the end of each day. What was more worrying him that (Name) was here with them. He couldn't protect her in the middle of a battle and he was sure one way or another they will end up getting into a fight.

'You were not this worried before.' noted the blonde giant next to him. Loki rolled his eyes.

'You can take care of yourself quite well.' he replied.

'You are worried about (Name) more than you were ever for Sygin.' shook his head Thor looking straight ahead. Loki almost stopped Aemis in his surprise. Sygin never meant to him as much as (Name) did. He knew that since a long time but never he expected Thor to notice. Of course times changed since Thor was banished to Midgard but still it was something which could shock him.

The two of them continued their journey towards the barbarian camp that most certainly had Princess Astrina. He didn't come because he liked the princess so much but he thought she could be a good ally later on even after he broke up the engagement. Grey clouds gathered onto the sky as they galloped towards the barbarian camp. It was midday when they reached their direct territory. Loki could see the tents and people walk around like an ant hill.

'What is your plan exactly?' the raven haired prince looked at his blonde brother. He was still not sure if this plan would work at all but he had to accept that he had no better plan and it didn't happen usually.

'You disguise us, we get in, find the princess and leave.' Thor replied as he looked at the camp.

'And what if they find out that we are not-'

'You worry too much, brother.' the blonde prince grinned at Loki who just shook his head and sighed. He quickly disguised themselves into brute barbarians. He had to plan out what he would say and how he would say it because well... he was far from these stupid cave men in intelligence.

They left their horses by the woods knowing they would come in case they needed to flee the area. The horses the Asgardian palace possessed were specially breed horses. These animals were all from Alfheim. The elves were trading these horses all over the Nine Realms but only Asgard could afford so much to buy for a whole army.

The two princes approached the camp and infiltrated it quickly and easily. No one noticed that their faces were unfamiliar to them or more like the faces of those who Loki killed back in the attack. Thor had now short red hair with a long red beard, his skin almost creamy white and scars were decorating his left upper arm. Loki had shoulder length dirty blonde hair with icy blue eyes and stubble on his chin which was wide and strong just like his body. Thor went to find the princess while Loki went to the tent where everyone could have drinks or food. He quickly found an already drunken man and started getting information out of him. He got to know that the barbarians had a leader called Skollorn. The drunkard pointed him out in the crowd to Loki and the prince quickly realized why he was called brutal. The man was at least 6 feet tall if not 6'5". He had long black hair which looked rough and dry with braids in it. His eyes were black like the night sky and his lips were chapped. His nose like a big potato in the middle of his face and a large scar went across his whole face. His black eyebrows were bushy and he had a long black beard and moustache. His body was well built, his shoulders broader then Thor's could ever be, his waist so thick like the biggest tree's Loki have ever seen and his muscular arms as thick as that tree's branches. The raven haired prince couldn't see his legs from where he was sitting but he could imagine them quite well. He gulped in fear remembering how Thanos looked similar just even bigger and purple.

Loki quickly fled the tent and started searching for Thor. He didn't need to search for long because of the small amulet he placed in the oaf's pocket. He could feel the energy of the amulet and soon found Thor with the princess in a tent. She was free of her binds and except a few small cuts and bruises she was intact.

'Who are you and why are you helping me?' she asked looking between the princes, suspicion shining in her eyes.

'Think. Who would want to help you?' rolled his eyes Loki. He couldn't let their disguise fall now because anyone could walk in on them. The princess' eyes widened before nodding. The three of them left the tent and easily melted into the crowd. They passed men and women, all armed with different looking weapons. As they walked someone suddenly cried out.

'The princess! She is gone! Find her!' yelled a man at the tent Astrina was held and so the three of them had to run. They knocked into people and pushed them aside as they ran. The barbarians were only realizing what happened when they were already on the ground and Thor, Loki and Astrina were farther. They reached the side of the camp but the barbarians closed in on them. Loki looked around quickly trying to find an opening but there was none. He felt something scratching at his mind but he pushed it away. The scratching got stronger and more urgent until (Name)'s voice boomed through his mind.

Let me in damn it! Where are you?! You should be here already!

Well, we are not! I am trying to get us out of a situation now.

A long silence before (Name) answered. I am coming.

What?! No! (Name)! Do not come here! but there was no reply. (Name) closed him out and Loki could no longer reach her. He cursed under his breath but turned his attention back to the current problem.

'What now, brother?' Thor asked him gripping Mjölnir in one hand. Now the disguises were needed no more. Most of the barbarians' eyes widened in surprise but stayed in the firm circle around them.

'This was your idea, Thor and now you ask me?!' Loki asked irritated. He knew this would never work but knew the blonde oaf wouldn't survive without him. They heard heavy footsteps approach them and turned to the source. It was Skollorn. The barbarians made him path by stepping out of the way. Skollorn was even more brutal and scary up close. He looked down on them even if the two princes weren't small either. The leader had a smirk on his lips and a cruel glint in his black eyes.

'Well, well, well... the Asgardian princes themselves!' he rumbled with his deep voice. It sounded like a bear's roaring. 'I bet you already know why I ordered my people to bring her here.'

'Asgard do not bargain with people like you!' boomed Thor back making Loki roll his eyes. If we are going to die, make them even more angry in hope of having a worse death... he thought.

'People like me?' laughed Skollorn. 'There are no other people like me, little prince. And I do not bargain with Asgard either.'

'Then why did you kidnap me?!' stepped forward Astrina boldly. Loki always knew the princess wasn't like the others. She was fierce like Sif even if she seemed to have no experience with weapons.

'To coax Asgard's princes here' laughed the large man even more making all three of them turn pale. This was a trap. Suddenly roaring erupted from outside the camp drawing everyone's attention to it. Thor and Loki didn't need anything else. They tried to fight themselves out of the circle. A large shadow covered the sky above them and Loki knew what it was. He closed his eyes, feeling irritated and worried at the same time. A few meters away from the barbarians landed a large (f/c) scaled dragon. It's feet landed on the ground with a loud thud and it's wings were stretched wide as the legendary creature roared at the barbarians.

Your PoV.

You looked over the barbarians as you let out a bone-chilling roar and prepared to let your fire out. Your (e/c) eyes met the leader. You knew somehow that he was their leader. He was tall, like a bear, had black hair and beard. You saw him and noticed that he wasn't afraid of you like everyone else.

He watched you with awe and surprise but not fear. You felt something familiar about him but locked it out of your thoughts and took a deep breath. You saw Loki, Thor and Astrina run behind a large shield waiting for your attack. You felt the warmth bubble up from your chest through your throat and you opened your mouth wide to let the (f/c) flames wash over the enemy. You didn't see the leader anymore but you knew he wasn't close to you to hurt you. You could feel him run towards a tent but you didn't know why. You heard the barbarians cry out in pain and fear as they tried to get away from your fire. Men and women were both running around as they burned by (f/c) flames. You could smell burnt flesh and blood in the air and the camp was on fire all around you. You glanced at Loki, Thor and Astrina who were running out of camp and you were glad they could get away from the destruction easily.

You jumped into the air and landed in front of the three royals. Astrina stopped and stared up at you fear in her eyes but didn't scream like any other woman would've done. You stretched your neck down so your eyes were level with their faces and got closer to Astrina.

Good to see you are alright, my princess – you rumbled through her mind making her jump in surprise.

'(Name)!' she cried out. Loki rolled his green eyes but a smirk tugged at his thin lips.

'I never thought you would look like this... in this form.' mumbled Thor as he looked your dragon form over. Your eyes snapped to him in shock.

You are not surprised, my prince? – you asked.

'You were asked to work in the palace for a reason.' smiled the blonde prince at you.

'Do you have something to tell me, brother?' turned Loki sharply to Thor.

What are you talking about, Thor? – you asked curious and anger slowly crawling up on your throat.

'I will explain everything once we get back to the palace.' replied Thor. Suddenly you all heard the horses' hooves beating on the ground as the Warrior Three and Lady Sif approached you. You turned to them and saw annoyance on Sif's face.

'How could you just leave us behind?!' she yelled up at you after jumping off her horse and stood in front of you placing her fists on her hips. Everyone watched in awe and fear what might happen next but you just descended your large head and made puppy eyes at her.

I needed to act quickly, my lady – you replied.

'I bet Sif will forgive you if you let her ride you back to the palace.' joked Fandral. Sif's face turned red at that but you were okay with that. You turned your side to her and positioned your arm that she could easily climb up on it and sit into the pit between your shoulder blades. She hesitated for a few moments before she climbed up and grabbed hold of your neck.

You are safe with me, my lady – you chuckled earning an annoyed "shut up" from Sif and took off into the air. You felt Loki's jealousy as you left the small group but you didn't care. You will only let him ride you if he really needs to. The ride back to the palace was faster than when you went for the barbarian camp. It was nice to finally let out your wings and fly freely.

Time skip~

The Asgardian king and queen waited on the balcony of Odin's study for their sons and their companions to return with the princess. The old king furrowed his eyebrows as he looked out to the scenery below. The capital city was so colourful and bright. He liked it here and never wanted to live on any other realm. This was his home.

'They have to be near.' said Frigga putting a hand on Odin's shoulder as he was leaning on the railing with his own hands.

'Our sons know how to solve a problem like this.' nodded the king. 'They complete each other... and I am trying to find a way to make them rule on each other's sides once my time ends.'

'They are still young and can be too reckless.' shook her head the queen. She knew that both of her sons needed a partner who could keep them in line just like she has done to her husband.

'But I am already old and tired.' sighed Odin. 'Thor... needs to calm down and Loki... needs love.'

'So you see how broken he became after-' started Frigga but was cut off by Odin.

'That woman never deserved our son's attention.' shook his head the king. 'Believe me, I know how young love feels... how blind a man can be. Loki never deserved to be treated like that.'

'But now he has someone much more worthy on his side.' smiled the blonde queen.

'He has... does she know?' the king asked Frigga.

'I do not think so... but it would be better if we tell her of her heritage.'

'But she will be in way more danger. He is looking for her.' rubbed his chin Odin.

'I know.' nodded Frigga with a troubled expression on her beautiful face. Heimdall warned them about Skollorn way before (Name) arrived to the palace.

Somewhere~

Skollorn was watching the barbarian camp burn to the ground with a proud smirk forming on his lips. He was proud of what she could do. She was powerful just like him and her mother, Nissä.

'The time has come.' he murmured with a satisfied grin plastered on his face.

We're moving out to do all this work we have to relocate factories and very fast we need a vast army right now. And in the Eastern hemisphere immediately. And we can grow groups over there to come over here we do need it now all those women to volunteer for the service please sign on.

We have temporary assignments for others already but we need a lot of people we need a huge force and we need it now there's a lot of jobs we haven't filled

Loki lifts mjolnir once to save your life then can never lift it again but he has no problem with it now because when he most needed it it helped him and that's all that matters

"You will die, you useless quim," The monster growls at you, pinning you to the ground. His sharp, knife-like claws are digging into your skin, drawing blood. He leans forward, mouth opening to reveal his even sharper fangs. You close your eyes right, trying not to show your obvious fear.

"Back away, monster," Loki yells from across the battlefield. You can almost see the anger radiating off him. You know he remembers a time he said such things himself. But now, your chest swells with pride as he defends you so valiantly. A completely changed man. "Leave my wife alone!"

"And why should I listen to a waste of space like you," The monster growls back, still not letting you go. You scream as his grip tightens on you, now starting to bleed faster. Loki glares at the monster, scrambling to come up with a plan. You stare at Loki and then at the others. Thor and the rest of the team are even further away fighting their own monsters. You see a glint of metal out of the corner of your eye but have no time to pay attention to it as Loki starts charging the monster.

“Loki!” You scream, trying not to panic as you see your husband seemingly running to his death. Loki suddenly reaches down to the ground as he's running. You gasp in shock when you see what he picked up.

"I said get away from her!" He roars, Mjolnir firmly in his grasp. Loki hits the monster in its head. The monster falls back away from you and Loki immediately spins Mjolnir and leaps towards the monster. When he lands on the monster's chest he slams Mjolnir down hard on the monster, killing him.

"Loki," You gasp, the pain becoming too much for you. Loki runs over to you, dropping Mjolnir once more.

"It's alright, darling, I'm here," He says, cradling you in his arms. He cast a quick healing spell on you, kissing your forehead softly.

"Loki, you-"

"Shh, don't strain yourself." You nod slowly and close your eyes. "I love you," He whispers.

When you wake up you're in the hospital, which is not a surprise. "Hi," You say, finding Loki at your bedside, holding your hand, and the others all in your room, watching you like hawks.

"Hello," Loki smiles, squeezing your hand slightly.

"Well now that you're alright," Thor exclaims.

"Thor!" Loki groans, facepalming. You chuckle, relaxing Loki slightly.

"You must try again, brother!" Thor insists, holding out the hammer. Loki hesitates and looks back at you.

"Whatever happens, I still love you," You assure him. He reaches out and touches the handle but as soon as Thor let's go, it falls to the floor with a great thud. Loki huffs and sits back up in the chair.

"Oh," Thor says. "I, um, I-"

"It's alright, Thor," Loki says, to everyone's surprise. "I'm," He smiles. "I'm okay with it now. When I needed it the most, it helped me. That's all that really matters," he says. "If I need it again, I'm sure it will work out. But for now, I'm okay."

Thor's eyes fill with tears and he pulls Loki out of the chair and into a bone-crushing hug. "Thor!" You yell. "Maybe a little softer?" Thor let's Loki go and coughs awkwardly.

"Sorry, brother," He says.

"It's alright," He replies. Smirking slightly, he adds, "Now give us a kiss." Thor roars with laughter, the others somewhat confused.

"Inside joke," You explain on their behalf. The others nod, say their goodbyes and leave. Eventually Thor leaves too, but not before hugging Loki one more time.

"How are you feeling?" Loki asks you.

"I'm fine, Loki." He smiles and kisses your forehead.

"I should let you rest now," He says. "You'll come home in the morning." You nod in agreement and he heads for the door.

"Oh Loki?" You say, stopping him and smiling. "You're always worthy to me."
