A little light language to connect with nature and ground with the earth...

When we listen to the world, we understand life. We each carry the language and wisdom of our ancestors within us. When we learn to drown out the noise and distractions around us, we can hear our ancestors and the earth calling to us. Through the veil we can hear them chant, we can hear them sing. And they always are inviting us to join in, to celebrate our oneness with each other and Mother Earth; to remember who we are...

A lifelong battle with chronic illness and disability left me housebound for several years. As someone who is naturally one with nature, suddenly finding myself cut off from it was harder than I will ever be able to put into words. But earlier this year I was able to start connecting with the grounding, healing energy of the earth again, and I wanted to share that beautiful energy in my own way. Every second that we come into contact with any aspect of nature, we are witnessing life in motion. We are witnessing a divine miracle. We are witnessing creation itself. So while we have these physical forms, let’s soak it up, savour it, express our gratitude and never take for granted the opportunity to witness the way every single form of life is connected to each other. We are all One.

The Amoeboids

Finally got around to drawing an update reference sheet for our alien species - The Amoeboids! Please click to see the full view as tumblr will heavily compress it!!

There will be a link in the reblogs to the full sized image! (We aren’t adding it here or else this won’t show up in the tags).

At some point we will make a post further explaining aspects of the species and its history - but for now we’re gonna leave it at this! We think this gives a decent understanding of what we look like and how we function.

Concept art depicting the alien species known as Amoeboids. There are 4 drawings on the reference sheet depicting different parts of the Amoeboid.

The largest image shows the full body. It is an amorphous creature with several tentacle-like appendages and covered in smaller cilia. It is very colorful with an irregular pattern of bright neon markings covering its whole body. It has a hypercube-shaped head with alien text on all sides.

The second image shows an orange menger sponge with several curling tendrils sprouting from it.

The third image is a larger drawing of the hyperscreen that is the creature's head.

The fourth image is the Amoeboid in the shape of another alien species. It has a centaur-like body with antlers on its head and tentacles sprouting from its back. It has the Amoeboid's head and colorful markings.

There is text all over the reference sheet. The text reads: Amoeboids are a class of artificially constructed organic creatures that were made to serve multiple purposes. They are highly intelligent, adaptable, curious, and often mischevous.

Amoeboids are extradimensional beings, as are their creators!

The "brain" is a 4D 'menger sponge' - a cubic fractal shape that has nearly infinite surface area while enclosing zero volume. this allows for massive amounts of data storage.

The central nervous system is made up of long tendrils that double as sensory organs.

(The brain and sensory organs can sometimes be visible through the body)!

The "head" is a hyperscreen - a 4D screen that projects images on all sides. (Depicted here as a tesseract). This allows for a lot of information to be shown at once.

Amoeboid bodies are largely composed of a substance in an indeterminate state of matter. this substance is malleable and extremely difficult to damage.

Amoeboids can take on any base form according to their own preferences or the preferences of their commissioner. They can change their shape, size, color, pattern, texture, etc, entirely at will. by default, they have no particular shape and will constantly shift and morph.

They have dozens of distinct senses and are constantly recording data about their surroundings.

Amoeboids are typically very colorful and use their morphing abilities as a means of self expression! They often communicate via changing their boduy shape and colors.

You were supposed to cherish her.

You were supposed to respect her.

Because she was a gift and you were blessed,

But it turns out you wanted something else,

Something ‘more’ instead.

So you used her.

You tried to control her.

You tore her apart and broke her down,

And complained when she could no longer serve you,

The master with the self-appointed crown.

You were supposed to love her.

You were supposed to worship her.

The grace with which she’d ebb and flow,

And with every breath extend and grow.

But you missed it all

Because you were looking elsewhere,

Always rushing around,

Never stopping to care.

You took and you took but gave nothing in return,

And now you’re forced to watch as she slowly starts to burn.

You were supposed to care for her.

You were supposed to protect her.

But instead you made her weak with all your pollution,

Your smug strength and power betraying the real disillusion.

Because the fact is you reap what you sow,

And humanity sowed an earth which could no longer grow.

And it is not she who needs to change,

It is humanity themselves,

The players on the stage.

Which is why this now is our plight;

How do we save her?

How do we fight for the earth,

The gift that gave us life?

Sure you want to ban plastic bags and straws,

But there are far bigger ways to fight for this cause.

When was the last time you replaced your phone?

And how many cars do the family across the road own?

How much power does it take to get the world online?

To connect us all together in a place which so often promotes isolation, depression and crime?

It is not Mother Nature who runs on technology,

Only the world revolving around a capitalist economy.

Time is money and you have neither,

You are just another puppet of the bureaucratic engine driver.

And that’s why you wanted something ‘more’,

A future they told you you could work towards.

But everything comes with a price;

The cost of your homeland a simple sacrifice.

Because in a generation that refuses to stop and stare,

You missed all the beauty before the nightmare.

And it is only now you see what you’ve lost,

You realise what this impatient need for ‘more’ has cost.

And maybe now you’ll come to see that this pure planet was already enough,

As was the life you were given.

And the one you’ve been living…

That’s the real bluff.

Wait so Starchildren is... Kinda like Starseeds but reformed kinda?

You are correct for the most part!

To clarify; Starchildren is reclaiming the base concepts of the Starseed movement. Being descended from and sent to Earth by the cosmos, a deep sense of wanderlust and homesickness, a feeling of not belonging, et cetera.

Cae bought the Starseed oracle deck thinking it was a pretty deck and felt a connection with it, and looking into the guidebook cae immediately felt a connection with the concept. However, when cae investigated further, cae discovered it is mostly a New Age Religion sham to prey on vulnerable people (a lot of traits they talk about in the guidebook are common autistic traits, for instance). Cae felt guilty for supporting it, even in such a small way.

That is why cae made this blog; to reclaim it and grow it into something more meaningful, and with better, healthier roots.

Cae cannot recommend you purchase the card deck for yourself; it was a mistake on our part to make the purchase without research. You can find all the cards’ full art online, as far as we’re aware, with a simple internet search of each card name (that’s what we’ve been doing with posts).
