Tumblr media
“Where. Is. Y/n?”
“My son! You wake!” Frigga is so happy he’s awake but looking at his face she can tell he’s angry. The woman he loves, the woman who he has been calling for on his death bed is nowhere to be found.
“Yes, now I ask again. Where is she?”
Frigga looks over to her husband and son, both of whom look a little apprehensive to tell Loki the truth about you.
“My son, you had fallen very ill, you were calling for y/n in your delirium. I brought her to Asgard as soon as your condition worsened. We needed something from Jotunheim in order to cure your illness…y/n volunteered to go along with Hogun.”
“And you allowed this?! Why would you agree to send a mortal to Jotunheim?!”
Frigga looks over at her husband, where he nodded and stepped forward, “Loki, your mother came to me and asked if we could send Asgardian troops to Jotunheim to procure what you needed. With Jotunheim and Asgard still on the brink of war..I denied her request…”
“Leaving me to die, just how you always wanted.”
“I had to make a choice as Allfather, my duty is to protect this realm and everyone in it!”
“But not your own son?!” Loki takes a breath…“this still doesn’t explain why y/n went to Jotunheim…” Loki looks towards his mother.
“I told her what Odin decreed, that no Asgardian would be permitted to go to Jotunheim…”
Loki closes his eyes, seeing in his mind y/n coming up with this crazy plan to save him, “why does she always have to find a loophole in everything?!…alright…I’m alive so clearly they succeeded….”
“Yes..however Hogun informed us when he returned without her that a group of jotun attacked them and captured y/n. They demand that once you are well, you go and claim her yourself…”
“I forbid it.” Odin chimes in again, “you all defied me once in this, I will not allow you to do so again.”
“You think you can stop me do you? Not even in this state will you be able to stop me. I will do anything to get her back, so yes I will be going to Jotunheim.”
“I will be going as well.” Thor finally speaks up. “Father, mother is right, we have nothing to fear from Jotunheim any longer. Their world is broken, I will not leave me friend there to die for sacrificing herself to save my brother.”
Odin looks down and shakes his head, “I will not win this argument will I?” He looks to Frigga.
“No husband, you will not. Technically you didn’t win the last one either.”
Odin looks to his sons, “fine, go. You all will report to me when you return.”
Odin turns and walks out of the room in a huff.
Loki calls out to him, “we’re taking Hogun!”
Odin doesn’t respond, he just keeps on walking.
“He’s planning something, he won’t let this slight go unpunished.” Thor says to the room.
“I don’t care about that right now, Thor help me out of this bed.”
“My son, you are not well yet. You need more time for the tonic to heal you completely.” Frigga implores.
“No I will not wait, I feel myself getting stronger every moment.”
“What of your glamour brother?”
Loki looks down at himself and sees his blue skin, “if they want a jotun to claim her, they will get one. I care not Thor, I just need her safe.”
Thor nods and moves over to the bed to help him out of it.
“Mother would you conjure my armor please?”
She looks at him sadly, begging him with her eyes to stay a little longer and heal but she knows he won’t have it. So she raises her hands and summons Loki’s armor onto him.
“Thank you, both of you. Let’s go get Hogun out of his cell.”
Frigga nods, “I will summon the rest of the warriors three and Sif to accompany you both and inform them to meet you in the dungeons. Loki you know the passageway I would not be surprised if Odin ordered Heimdall to forbid you from using the Bifrost so I wouldn’t waste any time going to the observatory. Be safe, bring her home.”
Loki nods and the brothers make their way towards the dungeons.
~~Jotunheim~~
Even with the fire you are freezing, it’s not that big of a fire so you have to cover yourself with as many furs as you can and stay as far away from the entrance of the cave as possible.
“The nights are the coldest mortal, I can’t imagine you will last much longer.” One of the jotun’s says to you, “hopefully your meat won’t be tainted, I’ve never had Midgardian before.”
“Enough Fynir, leave the mortal be.”
The jotun huffs and move away from you, mumbling to himself.
“Thank you” you look up and see Hyllárrá, even though she is your kidnapper she’s the only one you can trust to not kill you while you wait for someone to come get you.
“Do not thank me yet little one, let us see what tomorrow brings us. I hope for your sake that your lover comes to claim you, I don’t believe you will survive another one of our nights.”
“Well you’re still trying to keep me safe from everyone else while I’m here, so…thank you.”
“You are very strange mortal, I can only imagine the stories you have heard about our people.”
“Well you’re talking to someone who is in love with a jotun so you don’t have to give me the we’re not all bad speech.”
“Your beloved, what is his name?”
You don’t answer her, you just stare into the fire.
~~Asgard~~
“Thor!.. Loki you’re….awake..” Sif greets the princes, noticing immediately that Loki is in his jotun form.
Loki rolls his eyes, “yes Sif, an astute observation from you yet again.”
“Enough you two, let us get Hogun and get to Jotunheim as soon as possible.”
Fandral and Volstagg show up not long after Sif, “friends, we hear a rescue mission is in order. What fair maiden are we saving today?” Fandral ask’s cheekily.
“My fair maiden Fandral..” Fandral looks over at Loki, “Oh my prince, it is good to see you well again.”
“Thank you Fandral. Guard! Open the cell.”
Hogun stands and runs out of the cell straight to Loki, “My Prince, thank the gods you are well. I beg forgiveness, I failed to protect your lady..”
“Hogun, from what I hear you risked much to go to Jontunheim to help save my life, I thank you for volunteering and for protecting y/n. We will get her back, in fact we leave for Jontunheim as soon as you’re ready.”
“I am ready My Prince, let us go save your lady. The Queen’s charm was fading when I last saw her I imagine it has completely lost its effect by now.”
“We must hurry” Loki moves everyone along, he can feel his magic getting stronger and stronger, the tonic combined with his rage helping his body heal faster. His glamour will not return just yet and he does not have enough magic inside him to create a portal to the passageway either.
Just as they exited the dungeon, Odin stood with a small group of einherjar.
“Father what is this?” Thor steps forward, he did not want Loki to do something that would make Odin lock him in the dungeons behind them.
“My sons, I know you intend to use the passageway to go to Jotunheim..”
Loki steps in front of Thor. “Yes we do and you will not stop us from going to Jotunheim, I will not stop until I have y/n back.”
“I know son, I’m hear to tell you that you will not be going to Jotunheim through that passageway, you will go via Bifrost.”
The two sons stare at their father in shock, Thor finally speaks “father? What made you change your mind?”
“You were all right, I was in fear of a realm that should be under my protection. Those remaining jotun should not be punished for the actions of their dead king. How long has it been since they have received any aid from the realm eternal? Maybe it is time we heal old wounds.”
Again the two sons of Odin are speechless.
“Well then, let us make way to the Bifrost.” Sif finally breaks the silence.
They all go to the observatory where Heimdall awaits them.
“My King, Princes Thor, Prince Loki.” He nods to Sif and the warriors three, “if you wish to go to Jotunheim to save the Lady y/n I suggest you hurry. Her time runs short, Queen Frigga’s magic has faded from her.”
Odin looks to the guardian, “this question is long overdue guardian, but is there anyone who has taken the role of leadership on Jotunheim? I intend to extend the resources of Asgard to assist Jotunheim to get back to a place of stability which will hopefully lead to longstanding peace with the jotun.”
“My King, the planet is in a poor state, whatever remaining jotun are scattered across the world. The female that Lady y/n happened to be captured by leads a small group of jotun, they live in the mountain you and y/n traversed to Hogun.”
“How many?” Thor asks.
“Enough. I suggest you bring the party you currently have, including the einherjar….
The female, Hyllárrá, she is of strong mind but it is the rest of the group that worries me, if not for her I fear for Lady y/n’s safety if something were to befall her. A Midgardian has not been seen on Jotunheim since before the Great War, I doubt even the jotun’s that have captured her have ever seen one before now.”
“We are wasting time” Loki says impatiently, “Heimdall, how close can you get us to y/n?”
“I can place you just outside the wooded area, on the outskirts on the mountain, when you arrive just walk straight towards the mountain. The jotun will more than likely see the Bifrost and will come to you.”
Loki nods, “alright, lets go.”
Heimdall opens the Bifrost to Jotunheim, Odin approaches his sons, “be safe” he looks directly at Loki, “bring your lady home my son.”
Loki nods and the group makes their way through to Jotunheim.
~~Jotunheim~~
You’re shivering, your fingers and toes are starting to feel numb. No matter what you do it’s just getting colder and colder. You’re laying down next to the fire, you don’t want to fall asleep, afraid that you might not wake back up. You hear whispering behind you…
“We should just kill it and be done with it.”
“No. You will do as I say and leave her be.”
“It is dying anyway Hyllárrá, we are wasting resources on keeping it alive. It will be dead before nightfall.”
“Enough, if she dies we might have bigger problems than just rations. We don’t know who this jotun is, the one she came here with was definitely not Midgardian. We need to wait and do our best to keep her alive.”
The jotun grunts, “hmph…fine. But when it dies I get first take at the meat.”
Whelp, at least they’re gonna wait until you’re dead to eat you…there’s that.
You honestly can’t think of anything else besides the cold, the shivering you’re doing is making your whole body hurt and you’re doing your best to suppress the cough that has been trying to escape. You don’t want to let anyone know you are feeling anything else besides cold, you know that Hyllárrá can sense Frigga’s magic on you but you weren’t sure about the others.
You hear running footsteps and do your best to make it look like you are sleeping.
“Hyllárrá! Hyllárrá!” The jotun running into the cave yells.
“What is it?”
“It’s…it’s…th…the…the Bbbb…”
“Oh for the love of Yggdrasil! Speak!” Hyllárrá says impatiently.
“Bifrost. I saw the Bifrost!”
Hyllárrá‘s eyes widen, “You are certain?”
“Yes!, whatever came through is at the edge of the wood.”
“Everyone get battle ready, it looks like we have some Asgardian visitors.”
Hyllárra walks over to you and lifts you from the ground and shakes you roughly.
“Wake up! Your jotun! What is his name?!”
Again you stare at her defiantly. She shakes you roughly again.
“Name! What is his name!!”
…“Loki. God of Mischief. Son of Odin and Frigga..Brother of Thor..Prince of Asgard..”
You snear at her “King of Jotunheim”…
To be continued…

Chapter 11
Previous Chapter
Next Chapter
You found yourself pinning Loki to the ground, but he swiftly retaliated by using the damn scepter to stab you in the side of your neck. Staggering back to recover and heal, Loki seized the opportunity and brought the scepter down hard on your temple.
Dazed and disoriented, you struggled to regain focus and get back on your feet.
Loki loomed over you, taunting, "Well, little demon, it seems your shape-shifting side is your weakness. No match for me. Now, lie here and watch as I destroy your team."
He hurled the scepter at Stark's chest, but Loki's control faltered when Stark proved immune to its influence.
"Performance issues?" Stark quipped, prompting Loki to grab him by the neck and throw him out the window.
As you morphed back into your true form, you rushed to the window, shouting Stark's name. However, he appeared in his Iron Man suit, and you exchanged words, with him taking on the task of handling the nuke.
You turned to face Loki, and as you did, he placed the scepter on your chest. "Sorry, bambi, not fully human," you smirked.
"All this because Loki wanted to be king," you chuckled. "Maybe if you weren't so quick to destroy Jotunheim, you would have had a kingdom to rule."
Loki's surprise showed as he asked, "How do you know about Jotunheim?"
"Same way I know you're half-frost giant," you replied calmly. "I can sense the unique qualities in you."
"Did you know I was summoned to Asgard a long time ago, by Odin himself, believe it or not?" you mused, smiling at the memory.
Loki looked even more puzzled.
"What, you think Heimdall would let a three-hundred-year-old demon roam Earth without informing Odin?" You laughed and yelled toward the sky, "Hey, Heimdall, still keeping myself out of trouble! Can't say the same about your prince!" You grinned.
Loki's confusion deepened as he listened to your revelations.
"I was summoned to ensure I wasn't a threat. Isn't that ironic?" you grimaced, raising your eyebrows inquisitively at Loki.
"That's where I saw you, you were happy being with your friends and family, This isn't you, Loki," you tried to reason with him.
He laughed, "That's your belief, but we both know that's incorrect. You know, you would be a formidable queen, commanding fear and reverence. Join me, and together, we could rule this planet." Loki extended his arm toward you.
"No, thank you. I rather like Earth as it is," you replied.
"What a waste of power," he sighed.
"Loki, I've spent countless years controlling my darker side. It will take more than a blue-eyed god batting his eyes and complimenting me to sway me. I'm not that easily swayed."
"But everyone has a price; anyone can be bought," he smiled.
"Not me. Like I said, I cherish Earth; it's my home."
"Why? Why would you protect these Midgardians? They are beneath us," he sneered.
"But that's where you're mistaken, Loki. Humans are simultaneously complex and simple creatures. They love, dance, write, sing; nothing is beyond their imagination. If they believe it, they'll make it real. They question everything and believe anything is possible. They evolve constantly, yet they find joy in the most mundane things, like a sunset or the stars." You smiled dreamily. "And that's how I know you don't deserve to be here. You don't understand them; you don't appreciate them."
"You speak as if you love them. Why? Even your own captain despises you," he jeered, hoping to provoke a reaction.
"Because, Loki, they may never see the good in me, but I will always see the good in them," you replied with a smile.
Your words struck a chord with Steve, causing him to hang his head in shame. He knew he had unfairly judged you. Yet here you were, defending all of humanity.
"Loki sneered, stepping closer to you, mere inches from your face, but you didn't back down. "You're pathetic. Tell me, what has made you this weak?" He tore the earpiece from your ear and placed his hand on your forehead, delving into your thoughts.
"Really, love is what you seek? Pathetic," he sneered. He had glimpsed your relationships and how none had truly captivated you.
"I told you, you're a goddess, and these mere mortals can't offer you anything. But a god can," he claimed, stepping forward and grabbing you by the throat. When you were about to resist, he kissed you passionately, causing the world to blur for a moment. As he realized you had stopped fighting him, he smirked knowingly. "Only a god can please a queen."
Your thoughts felt muddled until a crash through the window caught your attention, revealing the Hulk. Loki and the Hulk exchanged screams, with Loki asserting, "ENOUGH! I AM A GOD, AND YOU ALL ARE BENEATH ME!"
You watched as the Hulk grabbed Loki, pummeling him into the ground. As Loki lay on the floor, you slapped the Hulk's arm and cheerfully remarked, "That was awesome, Banner!"
The Hulk responded sternly, "NO, BANNER, ONLY BRUCE."
"Alright, big guy, my mistake. Sorry," you said, raising your hands in surrender.

Headcanons for GOW: RAGNAROK - Hel and Sleipnir
So, along with Hel, I was wondering how Sleipnir could factor into this universe as well, with him being another child of Loki and the steed of Odin in OG Norse Mythos, and I think I worked out the kinks.
Here’s my take -
Sleipnir was a young giant and one of the remaining Midgardian Jötunn alongside Laufey and Jormangandr, always just evading Thor’s grasp by turning into an eight-legged stallion and running faster then lightning, running across oceans and sailing through skies. Odin finally sent Heimdall after him, calling it a test of his skills of prediction, to find the Jötnar and capture him. With the assistance of an enchanted bridle and some Bifrost horseshoes, made by the dwarves, Heimdall was able to trap Sleipnir in his stallion form with the bridle and used the horseshoes to steal five of his legs, scattering four across the realms and gifting the fifth to Odin, bending the giant to Odin's will. He was made into Odin’s personal steed. Sleipnir was often abused and threatened in his torment, but was unable to fight back, the brindle making him obedient and silent.
Sleipnir is practically a young adult when Ragnarok comes. It wasn’t until after the fall of Asgard, that Sleipnir would finally be free. As Atreus was leaving Midgard to search for the lost Giants, he heard a soul in pain and found Sleipnir by the Lake of Nine, behaving like the soulless animals in Jotunheim: licking at the ice on the lake and clearly not adept to care for himself. Noticing the enchantments of the bridle, he takes it off, removing the spell on Sleipnir’s mind, but sadly not the enchantment that trapped him in his stallion form. Without so much as a thank you, he flees, leaving Atreus stunned. And with Odin's personal horseshoe.
After years of trying to rid himself of his curse, Sleipnir finds himself caught in a snare. He is quickly found by Ursa, Atreus’ daughter and around her neck was none other then the Bifrost horseshoe. He asks for the horseshoe, and Ursa gives it willingly, restoring his fourth leg. Ursa then promises to help him find the rest.
Recognising her as the child of his previous rescuer, he wasn’t sure what to think. He becomes curious of her, especially as she appears to be talking to a silent companion within a little marble she carries closely. Curious, he finds himself following her, eventually revealing himself as a fellow Giant. He essentially becomes like a big brother/grumpy uncle towards Ursa, mirroring Kratos. The bigger, stronger carer, for the smaller, ambitious child. And becomes a protector as she travels across the Eight Realms in her self-elected quest.

(An au for my main ship Kradall :3. Warning : Grief and character death ) (English is not my first language. if there’s any error in this fic. I’m sorry 😢 )  After long years of losing Kratos from Ragnarok War (Around 10+ years ). Heimdall decided to stay alone at his husband house in Midgard. Atreus and his beloved, Angrboda. They moved to live in Jotunheim. They also bring mimir with them.
One day, Atreus came to visit heimdall.
He would come to visit his old house every years. Cleaning and fixing what would be broken. And he also look after heimdall after losing his love. (+ visit his dogs too)  This time atreus came alone.  And fully grew up as an adult man with giant genes.   Heimdall knew atreus will come.  "Your true owner is coming, girls." He said with spike and svanna. Those dogs were aged than before but still healthy. Spike turn her head around, Trying to looking for an adult giant who was coming to visit them. "I know, I should say hi" Animal's emotion is easier to read and understand. not like from human. Heimdall felt svanna's thought. So he answered her back. Then he came. Loki of Jotun. First he noticed was his height. He's..so tall, taller than him and his father. Then his eyes. An icy blue which he got from his mother. Faye. But that was not a point.  Those shape of atreus's nose and eyes.  It reminded him.  Kratos. "Hi" Deep and loud voice call him from his thought. Heimdall left from those dogs and open a gate, let atreus came in. "Hi" The Jotun told him to wait in the house. He would come to say hello to his dogs and went back to talking with him soon. After that, Atreus came back to his old house. They look like the same as he left, after his father died.  "How are you, Heim?"  The god of foresight turn his face from a book he was reading. with no any emotions on his face " Fine...as usual" "There's no much thing for this old god to do with" He said then move to table that stand at the middle of the house.  "Won't you try to chop wood? My father liked to do it when he had no important thing to deal with" The God of foresight sat on an old chair. "That's not count" because that was what he had to do it for every winters.  "How are mimr and your wife?" Mentioning to atreus's wife. A bright smile show off.  "Mimir is fine and trying to learn painting by using his mouth on a brush" Heimdall foreseen what would be look like. A small giggle came out from his throat. "And angrboda... We ... are having a baby!" "This baby must be as ugly as you" "C'mon heim!" They laugh. Then they were quiet. Until heimdall look at atreus's face. Again.  An eyes...A nose "You look like him" His hand, smaller and paler than jotun. He used his left hand touched at atreus's face, gently. Atreus did nothing. He lets his father's lover touched. Sadness in hemdall's eyes were screaming. "You are grown up well" "Your father would be proud" Then a hand of jotun touched his hand back. "I know" And answered back with deep voice. "Kratos would be happy for seeing you growing well..." His thumb stroked on atreus's chin then moved to his cheek. Heimdall kept doing this until he felt his eyes had something happen. A heat moved from nose to eyes. A wet liquid blur an eyesight. " I miss him, You know" An image of adult atreus was shaking in heimdall's eyesight. He was seeing his lover...  "Me too..." An adult jotun moved his hand to grab heimdall's hand slowly. He squeezed. Not much to making the god of foresight hurt. He was trying to soothing a god who was nearly crying. But then. Heimdall cried. After hadn't cried so hard for several years. After losing what he finally found.  ------------- Grief! heimdall? Yes!. I love writing character losing and having grief to someone whom they miss and love the most. 🥺 🥺

Did Loki get into Valhalla?
THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER SPOILERS
This isn't going to be a review, but just to get it out of the way I'm going to say: I thought the movie was really fun. The Thor movies are definitely my favorites among the MCU and Love and Thunder was pretty decent.
But that's not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about something I noticed at the end of the movie and I haven't been able to find an answer to. It is driving me completely crazy and I'm afraid I might be going insane if I keep it bottled up.
So, at the end of the movie Jane dies sacrificing herself. She turns into golden dust (which we've already seen happening to Odin) which means she got into Valhalla.
It is said that Valhalla is a place, Asgardian warriors will go, if they die in battle. More specifically they "will be resurrected and brought to the halls of Valhalla, where they will live forever." (MCU Wiki)
Jane isn't Asgardian, but she did die in battle. Her entering Valhalla could be explained by her becoming mighty Thor.
Odin did not die in battle, but he is the Allfather after all, so basically the ruler of Valhalla. It might be that he doesn't have to die in battle to get into Valhalla. Extra treatment and such.
Heimdall died in battle fighting Thanos and we see him in Valhalla in the aftercredits scene in Thor Love and Thunder, BUT he didn't turn into golden dust.
Now my question is did Loki get into Valhalla? He died in the exact same scene as Heimdall and also didn't turn into golden dust. Did the creators just forget to add the golden dust? But then why wasn't he there at the end of Love and Thunder? In my opinion there is no reason he shouldn't have been there to greet his brothers love into Valhalla.
My first thought after the endcredits scene in Love and Thunder was shock, anger and sadness, because I assumed that he didn't get into Valhalla. Odin and Jane turned into golden dust and were confirmed to enter Valhalla. Only after rewatching Heimdalls death scene I realized that he also didn't turn into golden dust, but is confirmed to have entered Valhalla.
I did some research and haven't really found many theorys or even posts about this and the ones I found assume, as did I, that Loki didn't get into Valhalla.
And article by twinfinite mentions that in the Disney+ Loki series Loki gets shown a tape of how his life should have played out. The tape ends showing Loki lying dead and Thor crying. Nothing else.
That could confirm that Loki didn't get into Valhalla. It states that Asgardian warriors get resurrected and be brought to Valhalla, so the should continue. Or Valhalla is seen as an afterlife and is not on the tape, because the TVA doesn't monitor what happens after death.
But the question is should/could Loki have gotten into Valhalla?
Even though he was raised in Asgard by Odin he is a frost giant and the heir to Jotunheim. Even though Odin made Loki appear to be Asgardian, he wasn't. As we stated earlier Jane also isn't Asgardian, BUT she was wielding Mjolnier and whoever wields Mjolnier possesses the might of Thor. This doesn't make her Asgardian, but as she is worthy of wielding Mjolnier she might also be worthy of going to Valhalla. Loki wasn't wielding any such power fighting Thanos. Any magic he possesses he has due to him being a frost giant.
But Odin is the ruler of Valhalla (if mythology applies in the MCU). Couldn't be just bring Loki to Valhalla? In theory, there is nothing against it, but would he really do it? Odin took Loki in as his own, but there is no need to say that he never treated Loki like a true son, as Thors equal. That's why many believe that Loki would never be worthy of wielding Mjolnir: Odin put a spell on the hammer, so only those who HE thinks worthy can wield it. Loki was never good enough for Odin. So Loki would never be able to wield Mjolnir, because Odin would never see him as worthy. So he might also not see him worthy enough to join him in Valhalla.
I don't think that there is any doubt about Loki dying in battle. Loki gave his life trying to kill Thanos, trying to save the universe.
After researching and rewatching Loki and Heimdalls death scenes, I am not sure what to think. Do you think Loki is in Valhalla? I'd love to hear other people's opinion, because I have been wrecking my brain over it without finding any satisfying answer.

How do you think Thor, Loki and Sigyn would react to the Party Thor universe/episode?
This took a little longer, but it is a little longer, so... here you go? Hope this is what you wanted? ^_^;
Thank you for the ask!
---
Loki led Thor and Sigyn through the Time Door into the long corridor of shifting glass. Sigyn blinked, taking in the sight. Thor looked at panels on the wall.
“Where are we, Brother?” Thor asked.
“It’s not exactly a ‘where’,” Loki said. “Or a ‘when’ for that matter.”
“It’s beautiful,” Sigyn said.
“Loki.”
Uatu floated down to the three of them.
“What are you doing here?” Uatu asked.
Loki shrugged. “Haven’t found what I’m looking for.”
Uatu looked over at Thor and Sigyn.
“I am The Watcher,” he said.
“Well, you’re a Watcher,” Sigyn said. “It’s our understanding that the Watcher’s Council has assigned you to watch our particular corner of the universe.”
“…Yes,” Uatu said.
“So what is this place?” Thor asked.
“This is where I watch,” Uatu said.
Thor paused. “Suppose that makes sense.”
“What do you think I have to offer you?” Uatu asked.
“Insight,” Sigyn said. “Into other universes.”
“Do you need insight?” Uatu asked.
“We’re not certain what we need,” Loki said.
The three glanced at each other but did not make full eye contact. Uatu nodded.
“Then I will show you yourselves,” he said.
Uatu held out his hand towards one of the walls and the panel shifted, which sounded like glass shattering and grinding against itself. An image appeared, showing into another universe. In the image, Odin was holding a Jotun infant.
“The three of you find each other in almost every universe,” Uatu said. “Your dynamics shape who you are, building heroes, villains, and those who are not either. But in this universe...”
Odin found Laufey and handed him the child. Laufey blinked, looking from the infant to the other King. Odin nodded.
“He didn’t take me,” Loki said.
“Strange Supreme mentioned something like this,” Uatu said. “Did he not?”
“If I’m not born small, Laufey takes me back,” Loki said.
Sigyn put a hand on Loki’s arm.
“This one act of love, from one father to another, ends the war,” Uatu said. “This Loki is raised as the crown prince of Jotunheim.”
“What of Mother?” Thor asked. “Bringing Loki home brought her out of her depression.”
“Your mother was strong,” Uatu said. “It takes a bit more time, but she does recover.”
The image shifted to Frigga playing with a very young Thor.
“She dotes upon her only remaining child with all the love she has,” Uatu said.
Sigyn looked away from the image. Uatu nodded.
“The bastard daughter of Odin is still taken in by Heimdall,” Uatu said.
The image shifted again to a sleepy young Sigyn being put to bed by Heimdall. A woman they all recognized walked into the room, tucking the girl in.
“Rindr?” Sigyn said.
“Your father’s one regret was that he never married the woman he’d fallen in love with,” Uatu said. “Here, he finally had the chance.”
Sigyn looked away.
“My apologies if I doubt that everything is magically happy,” Loki said. “I’ve seen enough of these to know that there is pain just waiting for them.”
“Growing up apart removes the dynamics,” Uatu said.
He wiped the image away and replaced it with one of an adolescent, Jotun Loki.
“Loki still learns magic, becoming a powerful sorcerer,” Uatu said. “But his skill is not as refined, and his feats not as grand. He has less incentive to show off.”
Loki flushed, looking away from Sigyn, who smiled to herself.
“Thor, without a brother that is constantly challenging him, grows complacent,” Uatu said.
The image shifted to Thor at a banquet with Sif and the Warriors Three.
“He is secure in his destiny to be king, but does not treat that destiny with respect,” Uatu said.
Thor shook his head. “That is not much different from where I once was.”
“I will say, the clean-shaven look is unsettling,” Sigyn said.
“So it’s beards now?” Loki said.
“Oh, you look fine,” Sigyn said. “It’s just on him.”
“Where is Sigyn?” Loki asked.
Uatu nodded and had the image change again. Sigyn sat at her desk in her bedroom back on Asgard, surrounded by books.
“Sigyn was not close with the royal family,” Uatu said. “Without the princes, she lived a much quieter life, and threw herself into books to find the adventure that her soul craves in every universe.”
Sigyn looked away and Loki put a hand on her back.
“You said we find each other,” Loki said. “How does that happen?”
“Thor finds Sigyn first,” Uatu said.
---
Sigyn and Rindr entered the banquet hall, and Sigyn gasped to see the size of the room and the splendor of the decorations.
“I keep saying, you need to pull yourself away from your books every once in a while,” Rindr said. “See the wonders of the worlds for yourself.”
“It is truly marvelous,” she said. “But, Mother, you know it’s not just fantasies.”
“I know, I know,” Rindr said. “And your father and I are very proud of your academic accomplishments. But when it comes to your fantasies, do you not wish for your life to have just a portion of what these books offer?”
“Of course I do,” Sigyn said. “But I know my place, Mother. A woman of my station does not reach for that which she cannot attain.”
“Not in public, perhaps,” Rindr said. “But in private a woman of our station can achieve anything she wants with a warm smile and a kind heart.”
Sigyn smiled. “You must tell me about your life before you married Father someday.”
“Oh, that is a secret I will take to my grave,” Rindr said.
---
“She’s still my mother,” Sigyn said. “My birth mother, I mean.”
“Of course she is,” Uatu said.
“So, I meet her at the party,” Thor said.
“In a manner of speaking,” Uatu said.
---
Thor groaned, clutching his arm. While most backed away from him when he fell, Sigyn went over to him. She knelt next to him and took his arm.
“Tell me when it hurts,” she said, pressing gently with her thumb.
He yelled out in pain.
“Definitely broken,” she said. “Give me just a moment, your highness.”
She started a healing spell to fix the break. Thor could feel the pain subside and he sat up.
“Better?” she asked.
“Much,” he said. “Sigyn, right? I didn’t know you were a healer.”
“I’m still in training, your highness,” she said. “I just got here first.”
He grinned.
“Well, I can tell you’re going to be great at it,” he said.
Sigyn looked away, smiling.
---
Loki gagged and the other two cringed.
“It’s a bit hard to watch,” Sigyn said.
“Please tell me this doesn’t happen,” Thor said.
“This doesn’t happen,” Uatu said.
The image shuddered and shifted.
“The princes of Asgard and Jotunheim were, of course, acquainted with each other, but never as close as they were as brothers,” Uatu said. “But after Sigyn claims her shield, all three would soon come together.”
---
Sigyn had almost fallen asleep on her books when she heard a clink on her window. She sat up. The sound repeated and she went over to open the window. Thor was down on the ground, ready to throw another rock.
“Seriously?” Sigyn hissed.
“You’re coming with us tonight!” Thor said.
“Absolutely not!” she said. “I’ve already put enough of my life on hold because you thought I should earn a shield, I have to work, Thor!”
“Wear something warm,” he said before walking away.
She rolled her eyes and shut the window.
“No,” she muttered. “No, I am not doing this.”
She looked back at her books and sighed.
Thor and his friends were wrapped in furs, headed to the Bifrost bridge. Sigyn seemed to materialize next to Thor, wearing a fur-lined cape.
“Not a word,” she said.
Thor just grinned.
---
“They’re going to Jotunheim,” Loki said.
“That they are,” Uatu said.
---
Loki knew that his father didn’t necessarily approve of Thor’s parties, and as a result, Loki didn’t often get to go. Not that he didn’t make his own fun at home, but when he learned that Laufey would be on a diplomatic mission to Vanaheim for a full week meant that Loki could bring the party to him. He greeted Thor warmly, and was immediately captivated by one of the people the prince of Asgard had brought with him. The girl with the golden hair shied away from the others, staying on the fringes. She watched more than anything else, not knowing someone was watching her back.
When he got the chance, he shifted down into something more her size. While he had no issue with how small the Asgardian woman was compared to him, he knew from experience that most women her height were often intimidated by his. His skin turned pale, and his eyes turned blue, to disguise him further. He shifted into armor that would blend in with the others and readied himself to approach her.
Loki chose to walk up next to her unseen and so when he leaned over to speak, she startled.
“It’s more fun if you join in,” he said.
She put her hand on her chest to steady her breathing.
“It is not right to sneak up on a lady in such a manner,” she said.
“I know, my apologies,” he said. “I simply wished to ask for your name.”
“Sigyn,” she said. “Lady Sigyn Heimdallsdóttir, sorry. Thor would want me to use my title.”
“You speak of the prince in a very familiar tone,” Loki said.
“Well, he decided one day that I would be counted amongst his close friends,” she said. “And I have not known peace since.”
Loki laughed. “Ah, well. I understand he has that effect on people. I don’t know him well myself.”
“I’m not sure anyone knows him well,” Sigyn said. “Not even himself. I’d like to think there’s something under the surface, or else the Nine Realms might be in trouble.”
“I would think the daughter of the man who sees and hears everything would know better than to admit the crown’s weaknesses to a stranger,” Loki said.
“And I would think a Jotun sorcerer would know better than to try and imitate an unknown member of a group where I am acquainted with every person in it,” she said.
Loki grinned. “You are clever, my lady.”
“So which one are you?” she asked. “Ölvaldi? Utgard?”
“I am nowhere close to achieving either of their feats,” Loki said. “I am… simply a servant of the king.”
“Aren’t we all?” she said. “But I bet even a servant knows where the library is.”
She smirked and Loki shook his head.
“Have you ever seen the palace of the king of Jotunheim before?” he asked.
“I have not,” she said.
“I suppose I could give a tour on the way,” he said.
He offered his arm, and she took it.
---
“Pemberley,” Loki and Sigyn said at the same time.
“What?” Thor asked.
“It’s from a book from Earth,” Sigyn said. “The heroine tours the home of the man who has been pursuing her, and she learns and falls for the reflection that it creates of his character. She realizes she was wrong about him and thinks on what it would be like to be the mistress of Pemberley.”
“Does it work?” Thor asked.
Loki shrugged. “Depends on the house.”
---
“And lastly, the library,” Loki said.
Sigyn gasped. The room was more than just tall to accommodate the height of the Jotuns, it was grand, with bookshelves in every inch of wall, filled with leather-bound books larger than any she’d seen in Asgard or Midgard.
“This is beyond…” She stopped herself before she said something potentially offensive.
“It’s okay,” Loki said.
“This is beyond anything I’ve heard that Jotunheim has,” she said.
“It’s mostly informational texts,” Loki admitted. “Our oral history is very strong, but there are certain things that benefit from being written down.”
“Do you have medical texts?” she asked. “I know precious little of Jotun anatomy.”
“I could certainly give you some hands-on experience,” he said.
Sigyn raised an eyebrow. Loki shrugged.
“What, I was supposed to leave that alone?” he said.
“Let’s just start with the textbooks,” she said.
“As you ask,” he said. “I can show you where they are, but I will have to return to the party soon. The prince will be asking after me.”
“Oh, don’t worry about me,” she said. “I can use the fireplace, yes?”
“Of course,” he said.
---
“What, I leave her there?” Loki asked.
“You’re supposed to be hosting the party, and it’s not like I can’t take care of myself,” Sigyn said.
“Except I’m assuming that something goes wrong,” Loki said. “Because something always goes wrong.”
“I feel like I’m more of an ancillary participant in this,” Thor said.
“You are,” Uatu said.
“So what goes wrong?” Loki asked.
“No one goes to find her until the next morning,” Uatu said.
The image shuddered and shifted to show Sigyn asleep on the floor of the library, curled up next to the embers of a dying fire.
“What, she dies?” Thor said.
“No, no,” Loki said. “That’s not— I would never—”
“She’s not dead,” Uatu said. “But when Loki takes her back to Asgard, they do confirm that she had hypothermia.”
---
Sigyn groaned as she woke up, pain everywhere. She tried to sit up, but felt a firm hand on her shoulder that kept her where she was.
“Don’t move too much,” a calm voice said. “I’m sure you’re exhausted.”
She looked next to her, and it was the man she had met in Jotunheim. She smiled.
“You,” she said.
“Yeah, great job I did,” he said. “Leaving you alone to nearly die in the cold.”
She shook her head. “It’s not your fault.”
“It’s a little bit my fault,” he said. “But we don’t need to dwell on that if you don’t want to.”
She laughed softly, then winced.
“Ow…”
“From what I understand, hypothermia’s a bitch,” the man said.
“It really is,” she said. “I wish I understood the books better. I’m not exactly fluent in Jotun.”
“Then why were you asking for the library?” he asked, almost laughing.
“I don’t know, it was more comfortable than the party!” she said. “And in any case, those diagrams were fascinating. The biomechanics of the cold magics, it’s unlike anything I’ve seen before, and the fact that you’re warm-blooded but with such a low internal temperature…”
She kept talking, and barely noticed that the man wasn’t so much listening as just wanting her to keep speaking so he could hear her voice. She trailed off, watching him watch her.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I never got your name.”
“…Well, here’s the thing.”
Thor burst into the room.
“Sigyn!” he said. “Glad to see you’re well.”
“Not quite yet, but I should recover, your highness,” she said.
“Mother was very worried,” Thor said. “And your father is wondering if I’m a bad influence.”
“You are a bad influence,” she said.
Thor looked over at Sigyn’s companion, and was obviously taken aback.
“Loki?” he said.
Sigyn blinked, looking over at the man. He frowned.
“It’s not an uncommon name on Jotunheim,” he said. “King Loki the Brave of Jotunheim was one of the great warrior kings of our unification as a planet.”
“I should think I could recognize the crown prince of Jotunheim, even with this elaborate glamor,” Thor said.
Loki shook his head.
“Sigyn, I apologize for any deception,” he said.
Sigyn looked away.
“It is my apology that is demanded, your highness,” she said. “In our conversation, I was impertinent and insubordinate. I beg for your pardon.”
Loki sighed. “You don’t have to apologize. You were exactly the conversation I was looking for.”
She glanced up at him and he was smiling softly. She looked away again.
“Thank you,” she said.
Loki looked to Thor.
“Can we talk?” he asked.
The two left the room and Loki fidgeted on his feet before turning to Thor.
“You and her aren’t…” Loki started. “I mean, with dragging her out and everything.”
Thor paused. “What, me and Sigyn? Wait, are you..?”
“I just want to see where it goes,” Loki said. “If it could go anywhere. There’s just something about her.”
Thor grinned.
“That there is, my friend,” he said.
“Sorry?”
Thor threw an arm around Loki’s shoulder.
“Come with me,” Thor said. “We will forge our brotherhood tonight, and I will help you win the woman you love.”
Loki blinked. “Are you always like this?”
---
“Yes,” Loki said, rubbing his temple.
“Am not!” Thor said.
“Thor, that was the exact line you used when you met Volstagg,” Sigyn said.
Thor paused. “Was it?”
“It isn’t the parties that attract Sigyn’s attention,” Uatu said. “But the smaller, more intimate moments.”
“That’s hardly a surprise,” Loki said.
---
Sigyn read on a bench in a public courtyard of the palace of Asgard. She felt someone sit next to her before she looked up to see who had joined her. She looked over at Loki, who grinned with a nervous energy.
“Your highness?” she said, looking away. “Is something the matter?”
“Nothing at all!” he said. “I just thought I’d join you.”
“I’m not exactly being particularly entertaining at the moment,” she said. “I’m just reading.”
“Books are good,” he said. “I like books.”
“Really?” she said. “I thought Jotunheim had an oral tradition.”
“Sure, right, of course,” he said. “But… books are good, too.”
“You said that already,” she said.
---
“Norns, I’m an idiot,” Loki muttered.
“An endearing idiot,” Sigyn said.
Thor snorted.
---
“So what book are you reading?” he asked.
“Something from Midgard,” she said. “A fairy story really. Far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise.”
She gave him a knowing look. He laughed softly.
“Sounds like one of Thor’s parties,” Loki said. “Ones at which I haven’t seen you as of late.”
She sighed. “Father worries. Almost dying of hypothermia in Jotunheim made him more cautious. Mother wants me to go out and enjoy myself, but I sometimes wonder if it’s better to save the adventures to my books.”
“I don’t know that I can understand that,” he said. “There’s too much out there to experience. What might a book have that could replace it?”
“Oh, I won’t claim that it’s the same thing, your highness,” she said. “But there are so many things I can find in books. Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles.”
She suddenly noticed how he was looking at her. There was a distinct awe in his face that she wasn’t certain she deserved. She looked away again.
He’s a prince, Sigyn, she thought. You can’t run around with a prince.
“I-I mean, sure these things could be found, theoretically,” she said. “But the catharsis is much more immediate on the page.”
“Sure,” he said, absently.
“…Would you like me to read it to you, your highness?” she asked.
He blinked.
“Yes,” he said. “Yes, that—that would be wonderful.”
He grinned. She turned back to the beginning of the book.
“It is related that there was, in ancient times, a King of the countries of India and China, possessing numerous troops, and guards, and servants, and domestic dependents: and he had two sons; one of whom was a man of mature age; and the other, a youth,” she read.
---
“So how does this play out?” Thor asked. “I’m assuming they get together.”
“It is almost inevitable in any universe where the two exist that they find each other,” Uatu said. “But it is equally inevitable that Thor is the one that brings them together.”
---
It seemed to Sigyn that Thor’s answer to everything was a party. But to his credit, he had organized something small to celebrate her receiving her healer’s certification. A few friends and some food— it was not the kind of party he’d throw for himself, but it was perfect for her. She smiled at Thor when she saw it.
“Thank you for not throwing one of your meteor-shattering ragers,” she said.
“I mean, would you prefer that?” Thor asked. “We can certainly—”
“This is wonderful,” she said, before he got any ideas. “Thank you, really.”
Thor put an arm around her shoulders.
“You deserve it,” he said. “You’ve worked too hard not to.”
“Brother!”
Loki came over and hugged Thor. Sigyn pulled back, looking away. Thor, she had finally gotten comfortable around, but she was still deferent to the Crown Prince of Jotunheim.
“You came!” Thor said.
“Of course, I did!” Loki said. “I wouldn’t miss this!”
He looked over at Sigyn and his smile faltered when he saw her looking at the ground. He put a hand under her chin and lifted it. She gasped.
“I won’t have my friends not look up,” he said. “You’ll be forever walking into things.”
“Your highness, I am honored by your presence,” she said.
“You’re too kind,” Loki said.
Thor slipped off before they could realize he was leaving. Loki summoned a wrapped package.
“For you,” he said.
“Oh?” Sigyn asked, taking the package. It was quite heavy, and she stumbled back. Loki reached out to steady her and the froze when he touched her arm. Sigyn gave a stilted laugh and Loki grinned nervously.
“Sorry about that,” Loki said. “I should have, um…”
“No, it’s fine, I’ve got it,” she said.
Sigyn took the wrapping off the top of the package and opened it. Leather-bound books, with thick, Jotun-made paper were inside. She took the first one out and found a mix of Jotun and Asgardian runes on the spine.
“Are these..?”
“The books you almost got frostbite over trying to read? Yes,” Loki said. “I had them translated so you could have an easier time of it.”
“How could you possibly have remembered?” she asked. “No one remembers when I talk about books.”
“It was how we met,” he said. “How could I ever forget about you?”
She blinked, trying to figure some twisted logic that would come back to bite her like it always did, but she could only see a nervous sincerity in his eyes as he looked for her reaction to what he was saying and what he meant by how he was saying it.
Oh.
She paused, putting the book back in the package, putting the package on the ground. She looked at Loki, feeling a twisted tightness in her chest.
“Thank you,” she said.
“Congratulations,” he said. “On doing the thing, I guess.”
She brushed her hair behind her ear. “I suppose we should…”
“Of course,” he said.
He offered his hand to escort her to the rest of the party. She took it, and a jolt of electricity shot through the both of them. They couldn’t even catch their breaths before his arm was around her waist and his hand was in her hair and her lips were on his lips and they were drowning but so very much alive. They only paused when they heard cheering from the others and a bottle being uncorked. Sigyn bit her lip, looking down. Her face felt like it was on fire. Loki lifted her chin.
“Don’t look away from me,” Loki said. “You don’t ever have to look away from me.”
“As you wish, your highness,” she said.
He kissed her again.
---
“And there it is,” Thor said.
“Even when the both of you are complete idiots, I still stick around,” Sigyn said.
“As If I’m not raffishly endearing, asking you to read to me and looking at you like I’ve never seen anyone more beautiful in my life,” Loki said.
“You’ve always looked at me like that,” Sigyn said.
“Is that so?” Loki asked, smirking.
“We’re… happy,” Thor said.
Loki’s face fell and Sigyn’s hair fell in front of her face.
“Asgard lives,” Thor said. “We live. And we’re happy.”
The three didn’t say anything for a moment.
“Perhaps they are,” Uatu said. “But would you sacrifice the bright moments of your lives for these?”
“I’ve been down this road,” Loki said, sounding bored. “Are you suggesting that perhaps our lives are worth living even with our pain? That this is merely a possibility, and we write our own stories? I’ve heard it.”
“I think he’s talking about Nari, my heart,” Sigyn said.
“I know he’s talking about Nari,” Loki said. “And Sylvie, and Váli. But there’s still potential there. It’s all potential.”
“I, for one, would not trade my childhood for another,” Thor said. “Even with all the stabbings.”
Loki smiled. “Nor would I.”
“And I think I benefited from being brought out of my shell from an earlier age,” Sigyn said.
“You came off best in all of that,” Loki said. “Parents, your shield, your healer certification, and on track to become Queen of Jotunheim?”
“I will say, you as a full Jotun is an intriguing proposition,” Sigyn said, biting her lip.
“I think we’re done here,” Uatu said.

Still thinking of that thor is the jotun one au.
Odin is having A Manly Mental Breakdown™ about lokis death. Hes being suuuuuper paranoid about his special weapons (and weapons in general) and how theyve gotta hide them bc what if thor or frigga touch them and instadie too??
The w3 will stage treason bc their king is trying to get rid of their military **while on the brink of war**
Frigga somehow convinces Odin to give back the casket. Odin just. He feels soo guilty about lokis death that actually invites laufey to sign the peace treaty & get the casket back. War prevented 👍 except... Laufeys oldest has stayed bc he wants to be a protocol instructor and what better chance to be well off than work on the aesir-jotun relationships? Welp he kind of notices the MASSIVE commotion that is lokis funeral. And tells on his dad. Jotunheim declares war.
Meanwhile thor is having A Mental Breakdown too :D since he has no powers he looks like a jotun. He does get found by jane and co and they keep him at their place bc wtf thats an alien they are smart enough not to put them through the medical system and get him got by the government.
Somehow he is convinced he needs to seduce jane w his "new body" (not really, hes just too self concious about it -always has been- and has watched beauty and the beast back on asgard and thinks it is a valid reason "to break the spell" -there is no spell-). He learns of his hammer over the local radio/podcast/tv and thinks his hammer will "break the curse" (it does not)
The us gov is already onto him bc they live in a fucking desert, how come jane&co start bulk buying parkas off amazon all of a sudden??
Events of thor happen, but this time is Frigga the one that goes to meet him. She tells him that Odin has died and Loki is king. The jotuns have had him perma-banned from asgard. Thor cries. Frigga disappears. Thor starts getting experimented on the moment she leaves.
W3 are planning to go rescue thor when whoops a full jotun invasion is going on. Odin tries to send them to the dungeons, but since the guards do not have any weapons the w3 kiiiind of get them off quickly.
Frigga tries to stop them through a MASSIVE guilt trip. Bc wow they are kind of actually deserting the army during an actual invasion. Heimdal is here to help tho, so he freezes her over. Turns out heimdal is half jotun. In fact, he is odins half brother on the jotun side. Frigga... Kind of dies? So they gotta keep moving.
They get sent to earth through a cool battle sequence and heimdal fills them in the jotun!Thor situation... Which now they know they HAVE to get in order to calm laufey down (who doesnt know how """his son loki""" has died so he is also kind of grieving his "dead son" yet again)
Now they get into some spy shit. Heimdal is a great help btw he can see where thor is, and he is smart enough to have stolen gungir before leaving asgard. He saw odin having a mental breakdown about the spear and took it after he left.
Idk i am inspired i may write some more in the afternoon 👍

by CloseToSomethingReal
After subduing the Jotunn king and claiming the Casket of Ancient Winters, Odin found one last treasure. A Jotunn infant, abandoned in a temple to die. Sympathy and a hint of compassion moved him to take the child, a natural shapeshifter, back to Asgard as his own.
He made plans for the boy. Political plans that would benefit Asgard and Jotunheim. But a good father would eventually set those plans aside and focus on what was best for his son.
Unfortunately, Odin had always been a better king than he was a father. And as Loki grew, he never forgot his purpose for the child. It was what was best for Asgard. Even if the boy would have to repeatedly pay the price.
Please note, that (hopefully) all tags for this story are already included, despite the fact that some won't be relevant for a while now. I will re-warn certain tags before the chapters they occur in, but I didn't want anyone reading and not knowing what they were getting into. For those familiar with Norse Mythology, this is much more mythology-compliant than the MCU, and will feature some more triggering aspects of the myths. Proceed with caution, but I hope you enjoy!

"Loki, are you sure about this?" She indicated his Jotun skin.
"My love, yes I am certain, first of all you prefer this form, and now, That I've seen you walk around here all day with parts of you Jotun. It doesn't bother you, why should it bother me?"
"Well I didn't grow up with the fairy tales about Frost Giants, and honestly I keep forgetting that part of my face and arm are blue. I only remember when someone comments on it or there's too much light giving me a headache. Also I walk around here with a set of functioning dragon wings too. But that's me not you."
Loki stopped taking her hands in his "I am certain, it's almost easier to just accept myself the way I am. I also see it through your eyes. You see the beauty in the horror, the good in the evil, most important you see the real me regardless of what I try to show you. I see the love in your eyes, and actions that transcend any doubt I may have, I love you. Now let's go find Thor."
"Always a way with words my Prince" they arrived at Thor's door. At the knock he bade them in.
"What news have you from Jotunheim?" Loki asked
"I have secured an audience with King Laufey for you both. He advised to come when you see fit, and when you arrive he will have someone escort you to the palace. He also said you may stay as long as you wish. He still hopes to show you his kingdom. So I'd plan at least a week there if I were you. Also I found that I am not popular there as I am here on Midgard."
"Thank you brother, we will most likely leave sometime tomorrow, I have to figure out what my wife will need while we are there."
"Loki, perhaps you are not aware, but your glamour is not working."
"After growing to my full height in the Frost Giant room Tony had added.... I realized that I may be more comfortable being me. So we agreed that while in the tower with just us and the shield agents I shall remain without the glamour, just to see how it feels."
"Brother that is wonderful. Eva how are you feeling?"
"Fine, just exhausted from the experiments on my Ice Breath. And thank you for working out the details of our visit to Jotunheim Thor."
"You are both most welcome. I also spoke with Mother, when Heimdall sends you to Jotunheim, he will send her along shortly after."
"Again thanks Thor,"turning to Loki "we should go and figure what we will need for our trip."
They stopped in their room and grabbed the book Loki wanted and went to the library, knowing as usual it would be deserted, allowing them a place to read and discuss going to Jotunheim. They settled on the couch, Loki sitting with Eva's head on his lap. Cupping her cheek with his hand his thumb gravitated to the Jotun skin.  They each read for a while. Eva put her book to the side. "Do you think I'm going to be cold there? Or acclimate to the coldness?"
"Well, when I picked you up, did I feel cold to you?"
"No, you were kinda warm to the touch."
"Well I shall dress you in furs and robes, keeping you warm if you need it, or remove as necessary. But based on what you felt, I fear you may acclimate to the weather on Jotunheim. Which can lead to a new set of difficulties. But we shall cross that bridge when and if we get there."
"Are you worried about the skin or the ice breath?"
"If it were anyone else, yes I would be worried, but you my Beloved, are resilient and very adaptable."
The door creaked open, Eva and Loki looked at each other. 'Who's that?' She asked. 'Move for a few moments and I will check'
Loki got up and started towards the door. "Loki? Hey I guess you're alone, do you know where Eva is?" The voice was the low baritone of Stephen.
"She's around, anything I can help you with?"
"Yeah, if I don't find her let her know Klienfelds called and Tony had his assistant make her the next appointment, her dress should be ready for trying on in 3 weeks, and the girls are set with a new appointment for tomorrow afternoon for their dresses."
"I'll let her know, but she won't be able to go with them we leave for Jotunheim after dinner tonight. Or perhaps in the morning, we haven’t decided just yet.”
"I'll go with them that's not a problem. They know you both have to make this trip to help her."
"Brother, wow it's weird calling somebody other than Thor that, thank you, you're making this as easy as possible on her. And that means the world to both of us."
"Let her know if she needs me I'll be at home."
"I will"
Stephen left the library and Loki went back to her. "My Darling, we should go back to our room to get you ready for the trip."
"Fine, but I think we both need a nap." She smiled.
"As you wish Princess. Let's go."
Back in their room Loki set to conjuring warm clothes for her. He dressed her in her Asgardian court attire but lined with fur. And finished with a long blue hooded cape that was lined and edged with white fur it also had slits to accommodate her wings.
"How do you like it?"
"Gods it's hot, but I guess it’s what I should need there, but we’ll have to wait and see.. for now let’s get that nap in, I miss your arms around me."
After dinner Tony, Clint and Bucky walked them out to the helipad to be whisked away by  the Bifrost.  Tony gave her a hug and a kiss to the cheek. Clint and Bucky also gave her hugs and reminded her to be safe and stick with Loki. They stood back as Loki took his full form kneeled and put his hands on her shoulders. "Heimdall, please send Eva and I to Jotunheim." Loki called out. As the Bifrost began to take them Loki whispered "know that I am always with you, I love you."
And for the first time she responded "I love you more."
As the lights dimmed Eva looked around, and realized that she could indeed see better with her right eye. "Darling, do you want me to carry you or do you want to fly? Our escort is arriving."
"For now I'd like to fly."

Loki
Tumblr media
Face-claim: Tom Hiddleston
Status: semi-active
Main verse: canon-divergent; Alongside Mortal Madness verse
Orientation: panromantic pansexual
Biography:
Loki is the son of Laufey, the ruler of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, but shortly after his birth, he was abandoned and left to die. Found by the Asgardian king Odin, Loki was brought to Asgard and raised by Odin and his wife, Frigga, as an Asgardian prince, along with their biological son, Thor. When he grew up, he became known as the “God of Mischief.” Loki learned the truth about his real father on the same day that Odin banished Thor to Midgard, and since he was next in line to the throne, Loki took the throne as Odin fell into the Odinsleep, however when the Warriors Three attempted to return Thor home, Loki was forced to try and kill his brother. However, Thor returned from his exile on Earth and ended Loki’s reign. Feeling utterly hopeless and at an all-time low, Loki allowed himself to fall from the Rainbow Bridge.
Lost in the darkest depths of the universe, Loki was found, captured, tortured, and controlled by The Other, a servant of the Mad Titan Thanos, who gave him a powerful Scepter and command over their army of the Chitauri to conquer Earth. Once he came to Midgard, Loki managed to take possession of the mystical Tesseract and used it’s power to build an army and caused the Chitauri Invasion, but he was ultimately defeated by a group of superheroes called the Avengers. Thor returned him to Asgard, where Odin condemned him to spend the rest of his life in prison as punishment for his crimes.
However, when his mother, Frigga, was killed during the Sacking of Asgard, Loki was freed by Thor in order to defeat the Dark Elves and their leader, Malekith who desired to use the power of the Aether to transform the universe into eternal darkness. During the fight against the Dark Elves in Svartalfheim, Loki faked his death, and, unbeknownst to everyone in the Kingdom, returned to Asgard and took Odin’s place on the throne while the All-Father went back to his otherwise interrupted and much needed All-Sleep, with Loki taking his place as King where he remained for several years. During his reign, Loki continued to rule the galaxy by sending Lady Sif on missions of Earth to investigate the attacks of Lorelei and Vin-Tak.

Chapter 3
Heart of Ice
“What the hell happened here?” The room looked as though a bomb went off inside it, the walls were singed and two bodies were on the floor, burnt to a crisp.
There was one part of the room that wasn’t burnt, a stark white spot in the middle of the ash. A line of ice led to the room and the outside of the doors were covered in frost. Bucky stooped and picked up a metal case that hadn’t been too damaged. There were several vials still nestled safely inside. “Holy shit, is that what I think it is?” Tony said as he looked over Bucky’s shoulder. “Yeah, it’s the super soldier serum. And one of the vials is missing.” “It’s not missing anymore.” Natasha lifted the empty syringe from the melted metal table by the lone chair in the room. Blood coated the floor around the chair as well as a small necklace with an Iron man pendant attached to it. Thor felt nausea well up in his gut. Loki had been here, his trademarks were all over the place, he’d got ahold of Y/N.
“I must return to Asgard, I must stop this wedding.” The Avengers turned towards him. “What are you talking about?” Steve stepped towards the god. “A frost giant has been here, the ice on the door and entryway is a clear sign they’ve been here, which means Y/N is on Jotunheim.” He walked quickly out of the compound and raised Mjölnir towards the sky. Nothing happened.
“You having some trouble getting it up big guy?” Tony snickered and Natasha slapped the back of his head. “Heimdall! Take me to Asgard!” The air was still. Suddenly his eyes became yellow and Thor froze in place. “Is this the Asgardian equivalent of a stroke.” Sam walked up and poked Thor’s face, getting no reaction out of him.  “We should just leave him.” Tony shrugged and walked back towards the quinjet, Y/N’s necklace safely tucked into his breast pocket. The ground began to rumble as Thor broke out of his trance. “I’ve been locked out of Asgard.”
🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
The crackling of a fire slowly brought Y/N back to consciousness. The smell of pine and smoke invaded her senses, causing her to wretch and cough up bile. The light from the fire was overwhelming and she shut her e/c eyes tightly, holding her head in her hands and willing the nausea to die down. She had been wrapped in expensive furs and given a silky nightgown to wear.  “Oh god.” Hundreds of scars covered her body, and a snake wrapped around a dove was branded on her shoulder. With shaking hands, she traced the raised skin, hot tears dripping down her face. She forced herself to look away from her marred body and to the room she had found herself in.
The walls were made out of marble but it was slightly transparent, giving it the facade that the walls were carved from ice. The furniture seemed to rise from the ground, everything made completely from stone but covered in furs like the ones Y/N was wrapped in. The animals they came from must have been huge as the pelts were wider and taller than herself but they were incredibly soft and warm. Finally, the massive fireplace she was laying in front of. As she concentrated on the world around her, Y/N picked up faint sounds of people behind the thick stone doors at the other end of the room. She rose and went to investigate but before she got too far, the doors swung open.
“Good you are awake, it’s time to go home.” The deepest voice she had ever heard rumbled through the room, almost shaking the floor with its power. The white haired man was massive, covered in golden armor, and striding quickly towards her. Y/N scrambled back, trying to get away from him but her limbs were still too weak to do much more than slide her across the frozen floor. His one eye sparked with annoyance as he tightly gripped her bicep. “This is not how a princess should act. Do as you’re told, you ungrateful child.” “Let me go you fucking freak!” She tried to yank her arm back but he just held her tighter and growled. She wrapped her hand around his wrist and a searing heat ripped through her arm, causing the man to give a shout of pain, as if he had been burned. His other hand swung around and backhanded her cheek. “You will never disobey me again or you will feel worse things than that.” He held her tighter and dragged her from the room, not caring for her screaming or continued struggle.
“Odin, I don’t believe this is appropriate treatment of your daughter.” In front of them was the largest man Y/N had ever seen, he stood well over 12 feet tall and skin as blue as the deep ocean, with blood red eyes and silver ridges tracing his skin.  “You’re not entitled to discuss how I treat this girl, your son has done a Hel of a lot worse than what I would ever do to her. Besides she will be your son’s property soon enough, Laufy.” Odin retorted, tugging the girl to her feet and continuing on.
Laufy looked at her with pity. She was so pale and looked so terrified, he remembered when his son brought her to him, she seemed almost dead in his arms. What they did to her had been unforgivable, he had shuttered as the healers laid her down on a stone slab and set to work healing her as best they could. He had to rip his son away from her, banishing him from Jotunheim as she screamed in agony when ointments were applied to her tender skin.
Y/N gasped when she was pulled outside the palace walls. The wind cut through her, the nightgown doing nothing to protect her from the chill. Odin dragged her through the snow to a platform a hundred yards from the palace gates. He tossed her forward onto the cold ground before following her and raising one arm towards the sky. The clouds were cut open by a rainbow beam, the light overwhelmingly powerful, making Y/N scream in agony, a migraine splitting her skull before the light enveloped them both.
🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
Warmth surround Y/N as the rumbling from the rainbow bridge stopped.  “Welcome back Allfather. And welcome home young princess.” A kind looking man stood in front of her, reaching his hand out for her to grab, she gratefully took it and shakily got to her feet. “Make sure she is presentable for dinner tonight. And keep Thor away, I cannot have him destroying this treaty because of his bleeding heart.” Odin strode away, not sparing his daughter a second glance. “Do you know where I am?” Her voice felt so small, so weak. “You’re on Asgard little one, you’re home.” He looped her arm through his own and led her to the golden room’s entrance. “I am Heimdall, Asgard’s gatekeeper. I can see all in the universe. I do apologise that I cannot bring you to your chambers, I can’t leave my station but a guard will bring you there safely.” He bowed, kissing her hand before another man approached to escort her into the city. “Thank you.” She muttered, turning her back to him.
The guard was quiet the entire way to the huge golden palace in the middle of the city. Everyone they passed watched her go by, whispering amongst themselves. All of them were incredibly beautiful, tall and lean, with flawless skin and hair. She felt self conscious next to them. She tried to make herself as small as possible until they reached the steps to the castle. Y/N was escorted to a beautiful open room that overlooked the city. “You’ll be sent for shortly. Make yourself comfortable.” He left with a slight nod of his head. Y/n sighed and made her way to the large balcony to lean on the ornate railing. As soon as the silence of the room washed over her, she collapsed in a fit of sobs. She gripped the railing so tightly the metal bent under her fingers. It was too much for her, only a few hours ago, she thought she was going to be killed by those men, and now she was on a different world.
Wails carried through the palace, causing the Queen to startle and drop her reading. She gathered her skirts and rushed through the corridors, ignoring the questioning glances from the servants she passed. Frigga threw open the doors and slid into the girl on the balcony, holding her tight to her breast. “Oh little flower it’s ok, I’ve got you now.” Her entire body was shaking and her pulse was wild. She simply held the girl closer, tucking her head in the crook of the Queen’s neck. Frigga began to softly sing a lullaby while rocking back and forth, the sobs slowly stopping. “You feeling better love?” Y/N nodded, causing the woman to smile and wipe away the lingering tears on her cheeks. “T-thank you.” “Of course my dear, though it has been a while since I’ve comforted a child,” She kissed her cheek and pulled her from the floor, “Now why don’t we sit somewhere more comfortable and you can tell me what’s going on in that beautiful mind of yours and I’ll do my best to answer any questions you have.”
The woman sat across from each other with a steaming cup of tea each between them. Tears rolled down Frigga’s cheeks as Y/N recounted her tale, ending with Odin fetching her from the palace of ice. She huffed “My husband can be quite the brute at times and I suppose this war brewing isn’t helping the matter at all. He tried so hard to raise Loki as honourable but I suppose it failed.” Y/N’s brows furrowed. “Loki? Like the guy who invaded New York a few years ago?” “Yes, that Loki. When the first Frost Giant war happened, Odin found him abandoned on Jotunheim, the ice world you woke up on. Odin wanted to raise him as one of our own but when Loki found out about his true heritage, he went mad, renouncing his position as prince of Asgard and returning to his ancestral home. He is the man you will be marrying.” Y/N barked out a laugh, quickly covering her mouth to prevent more sounds from escaping. “Marrying? I’ve never met the man before, why would I marry him!”
Frigga sighed. “Asgard and Jotunheim are on the brink of war, a war that would most certainly be the destruction of both our races. King Laufy is refusing all negotiations and treaties besides a marriage of convenience between Loki, his son, and Odin’s daughter. That is you my dear.” “No, no I can’t be his kid. I’m human, I grew up on Earth. Mom said that my father died a few months before I was born.” Y/N stood and paced the room. “I wish that were the case little flower but years ago, my husband strayed from our marriage. He had an affair with a human woman and that union produced a child, a little girl. Heimdall informed us of your true parentage a little over a month ago, and my eldest son, Thor went to Midgard to prevent anyone from finding you and forcing you into this bond.” “If I was a result of infidelity, why do you not hate me?” The Queen stood and held onto the new princess’s hands. “Because you were a child my dear, it is not right for a child to be judged because of the sins of their parents. You did not know who your father was, and I fully believed that your mother didn’t either. I will find a way to get you home if you truly do not want this marriage but please, consider it. Loki may not seem it, but he has a gentle soul that yearns to be loved, the same as yours. I must go speak with my brute of a husband about his behaviour. Stay here until I fetch you.” She bent down and kissed her cheek. “All will be well little flower.”
🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
Sunsets on Asgard are probably the most beautiful in the galaxy. The waters of the ocean perfectly reflect the setting sun onto the golden buildings, making it appear that the city is a second sun. A quiet calm settled over the city as the sun dipped below the horizon and the streets were lit with small flickering lights. Y/N had been sitting on the balcony, now dressed in a warmer dress that covered her scars entirely, since Frigga left. She so wished that she could return home, she longed for the sleepless nights at the tower, she would give anything to be back in Tony’s lab, handwriting notes until her hand and fingers cramped. But deep down she knew that the guilt would settle heavy on her soul if she chose to be selfish and go home. Could she be responsible for the death of two worlds because of her selfishness? But at the same time, she had just gotten control of her life, escaped the small town she grew up in and built a new life for herself. She didn’t want to give that up, give up the only paternal figure she had ever known in Tony, the love that was starting to grow for Steve, the friendships she had with the many Avengers. “Fuck!” She bashed her forehead against the railing, groaning in frustration. Y/N wandered back into the room and sat on the lavish bed in the center of the room. She leaned back, spread eagle on the silk sheets and let exhaustion take over her.
The sun warmed her skin as she stood basking in its light. “You know, if you keep smiling like that, someone would think you’re in love.” She opened her eyes to see a boy, slightly taller than herself standing in front of her. “Well then they’d be right.” She sassed. A huge smile overcame his features, blue-green eyes sparkling with laughter. He scooped her up into his arms and spun wildly around, holding her close to his chest. “Put me down! I’m too big!” She had just started going through puberty, the body fat slowly melting off of her frame but she was still larger than the other girls in her class and struggled to see her own beauty. He stopped spinning and looked down at her seriously. “Little star! You are beautiful! No matter what, I will always be there to lift you up, no matter how big you think you are. You’re my soulmate and that means you’re perfect,” Heat rushed to her cheeks and she hid her face in his chest, “Besides, this is practice for when we get married, I’ll have to carry you across the threshold.” “We’re going to be together that long?” “Little star, we’re going to be forever together.” He cupped her cheek and leant down to kiss her softly.
Y/N shot awake. That dream had felt so real, she could even still feel his soft lips on hers. A knock at the door startled her from her thoughts. “Come in!’ She called out when, after a few moments, another knock sounded. “Your highness, the Allfather has requested your presence for breakfast,” A young woman entered the room and bustled about, gathering clothes and perfumes, “We must get you in the tub before you see him.” Y/N was led into another large room, this one with a massive in-ground tub that almost looked like a pool. Rose petals floated on its surface, steam slowly rolling off of it in waves. She was quickly stripped of her dress and lowered into the hot water, moaning at the feeling of the heat seeping into her. By the time that the water grew cold, her hair had been washed and styled perfectly, her skin glowing with the lotions used on her. She had been dressed in a simple grey gown with silver trimmings that fitted to her curves perfectly while hiding the raised skin from her scars. The maid, who had refused to give Y/N her name, had sent her off with another guard that would escort her to the royal banquet hall.
Odin looked furious as he sat at the head of the table. Frigga sat to his right, looking composed but the twitch of her right hand revealed her own anxiety. “Well what are you doing standing there girl? Sit.” His voice boomed throughout the hall and Y/N rushed forward taking the seat on his left. She glanced at Frigga who smiled kindly at her, settling her stomach slightly. “Is there a reason that my wife was trying to convince me to let you go back to Midgard?” He didn’t give her a chance to respond before he continued, “You seem to forget your duty, it doesn’t matter how long you have been aware of your position, as my daughter, even if you are a bastard, you have a duty to serve Asgard and its people.” “That is hardly fair!” Frigga exclaimed, ‘She is hardly even a child! She can’t be responsible for this just because you felt the need to impregnate a human!” “You have no place to tell me how to deal with my children!” “I am your wife!” Their argument became white noise, fading into the background as Y/N thought about what to do. Her own internal battle rivaled that of the King and Queen of Asgard. She was conflicted, a raging tidal wave of emotion overpowering her as she thought about the life she would leave behind and what may lay ahead. She knew what she had to do.
“I’ll do it,” Her voice was soft but composed and powerful, “I’ll marry Loki. I can’t, in good conscience, allow too much death to happen when I can easily prevent it.” Frigga’s eyes softened. “You know if you carry this out, you will never be allowed to return to Earth.” Y/N sighed, “I know but if giving up my own happiness means millions of people will live, then I can face anything with my head held high.” “Then it’s settled, you will marry Loki on the morrow, get some rest daughter, you will need it.” Y/N swallowed, scared of the road ahead.

The prince of lies (Loki x reader)
Soulmate AU: Every time your soulmate lies, their words are permanently written on your skin
Word count: 3140 Words
I think this is the last Soulmate one that I have on Wattpad as of right now
Father is dead. Your banishment... The threat of a new war...it was too much for him to bear. You mustn't blame yourself. I know that you loved him. I tried to tell him so, but he wouldn't listen.
The truce with Jotunheim is conditional  upon your exile
Mother has forbidden your return
This is goodbye brother, I'm so sorry
Perhaps your senses have weakened after your many years of service
I'M NOT YOUR BROTHER I NEVER WAS!
I don't know what happened on earth to make you so soft! Don't tell me it was that woman?... Oh, it was. Well, when we're done here, maybe I'll pay her a visit myself!
You're not
(etc. more lies)
Lies...
Every single one of them. How did you know? Well, because they were printed all over your body.
Every single lie your soulmate ever told up until now graced your (s/c) skin.
How was a liar like that supposed to be a soulmate for you? Someone you could trust?
Yes, your so called soulmate would never be able to lie to you, for as soon as he tried the lie would appear on your skin. Had they only been some minor white lies, that would've probably been fine by you, but looking at the severity of those lies you could only shake your head in disbelief and sorrow for whoever had received those news.
Now ignoring the fact that those statements were lies, there were other aspects that made absolutely no sense. Those you had already researched quite a bit . Jotunheim for a start was a mythical place and the lies stated that apparently the liar and his brother were not from earth, which was complete nonsense was it not? Otherwise he had to be some kind of alien.
You were interrupted in the middle of your thought-process.
I missed you too
A new lie, gracing your forearm. Though this one seemed rather small and harmless, this man was still lying through his teeth and you had to carry every single one of those lies. How often had you been asked why your body was full of lies. Yet you never had an answer to those questions. He was your soulmate, even if he was a liar he had to be good somewhere, right?
Aliens and beings from other worlds did exist though. Thor the god of thunder and the events of New York city. Did they have soulmates as well? They had to, otherwise the statements on your features made even less sense.
But who?
Who would lie so much?
The thoughts in your head kept floating around as you got ready to meet up with your friend Anthony.
You started walking to a nearby park. Your usual meeting point, as you felt yet another familiar tingle. Pushing it to the back of your head in hopes of ignoring it, you kept walking towards your friend and hugged him "It's good to see you" you smiled but only got a confused stare in return "What?" "You uh...got a new one there, a long one." A sigh escaped your lips at the reply of Anthony. "Well, where? And does it at least make sense?" Your friend just shook his head as he took a picture of the lettering on your collarbone "No, but here. Maybe you can understand some of this. It looks like sarcasm this time." He gave you his phone to look at the picture. Great another one.
Wait? Sarcasm? One thing you had to give your soulmate credit for were his snarky remarks, at least those sometimes put a smile on your face. You zoomed in on your collarbone as you read what was engraved on the previously clear space of (s/c) skin.
You know this is wonderful! This a tremendous idea! Let's steal the biggest most obvious ship in the universe and escape in that! Flying around the city, smash it into everything in sight and everyone will see it! It's brilliant Thor! It's truly brilliant...
Thor?! You could not believe your eyes. Whoever your soulmate was knew Thor. It was a shock and a relief as well. If he was friends with this god he couldn't be so bad, could he? You did however, question why Thor would spend time, let alone steal some kind of spaceship with this person.
"I see. I can't say I understand what it's about, but whoever this liar of mine is, seems to be friends with Thor..." The words left your mouth as you handed the phone back to your dear friend. The two of you sat down on a wooden bench underneath a tree, but when you heard Anthony speak up, your mind went blank "He could also be Thor's brother, doesn't that one lie a lot?" It took you a few moments to fully comprehend what he meant "No, that'd be impossible, that man is sitting behind bars for the rest of his life. Besides, that guy is evil. My soulmate could never possibly be a bad person." that last part was a lie. Your soulmate was a liar, he could easily be a bad person, you just hoped with all your might that he wasn't"
■ ■ ■
"Trust my rage" the god of mischief spoke. Just as he had finished his sentence he felt a tingle on his wrist. A rare occasion if it was a real lie, usually it was just a sarcastic comment which most of the time he enjoyed quite a bit. These sarcastic statements often caused a small smile to appear on his face, the few nice moments that made the time in his cell more bearable, not only did he find them funny and witty, they also stood for his soulmate, for someone that was destined for him and also that he was a perfect fit for whoever this soulmate was. He looked at his bare wrist expectantly, waiting for one of the snarky remarks that his soulmate had spoken to appear. When it did appear though, it broke his heart. His cold expression fell for a second as he looked at the writing on his wrist. Quickly regaining his cold exterior before anyone would notice. It was too late though. His brother had seen the trickster's face falter just in time and he had also seen what Loki was staring at. Before the raven-haired could pull his hand back he felt it had already been grabbed "Let go of me Thor!"
"Brother, just let me see!" Thor replied loudly, he wanted to know what this was about. Loki looked away in shame as he let his brother read what his soulmate had said. My soulmate could never possibly be a bad person. As he finished reading he loosened his grip on the other's hand, allowing Loki to finally pull his hand back "I'm sorry" he muttered. "They think I'm a monster too..." The black haired god whispered as he sat down in the small ship, his stone cold exterior dropping by the second. Was a soulmate not meant to understand? Was there really no hope for him?
"Loki..."
"Stop it. Don't pity me for something that's my own fault!" he screamed. He just needed a moment to calm down.
■ ■ ■
"How is this possible? How do I deal with this? I can't just ignore it can I? No" before you knew it you found yourself in front of a massive building. Stark tower. Your (e/c) eyes stared at the monument in awe, but you soon shook your head in order to resume your task. "Enter the tower and talk to the avengers on how to communicate with Thor. You have to do this because Thor knows your soulmate..." you repeated in your head as you entered the building...
...or so you thought.
In the blink of an eye you were consumed by light and gone from where you stood. Was that some kind of security system Stark invented?
Your eyes fluttered open just to see some old man on a throne before your sight went black and your body dropped to the ground unconscious.
■ ■ ■
"Are you certain Heimdall?" the king asked, looking at the unconscious human, who was now dressed to fit the Asgardian culture. He was inspecting some of the tattoos on their body "You were right they definitely are his soulmate. Though they seem to be a rather honest person, for Loki does not have as many markings on him. As far as I know at least"
What were they talking about? Who were these people, why did they speak of you in a connection to Loki, it made no sense. None at all. You tried to look like you were still passed out.
But apparently you failed in your acting. "The human is awake" a different voice spoke. Maybe it belonged to this Heimdall person.
A sigh of defeat left your lips as you opened your eyes. You tried to take in your surroundings when suddenly, your eyes went wide from the sensation on your skin.
You sighed as you waited for the writing to appear on one of your upper arms. "Oh boy this is a long one" You muttered underneath your breath, but it seems Odin had heard, for he raised an eyebrow as his eyes followed your gaze to your arm which you had uncovered from the strange clothing you were dressed in. The king had taken a hold of your arm to read your words.
You really think I cared about Frigga? About any of you? All I ever wanted was you and Odin dead at my feet! Malekith! I am Loki of Jotunheim and I bring you a gift! I ask only one thing in return, a good seat from which to watch Asgard burn.
"Fools!" Odin shouted.
Meanwhile you thought your eyes were about to pop out of their sockets as you tried to comprehend the meaning behind those words. The only thing you could focus on however, was the name etched in your skin. His name. Loki.
Your thoughts were interrupted when the Allfather spoke up again "Send guards to Svartálfheimr and retrieve my sons! Bring the Aether back if it's still there!"
His sons?
It was at that moment. Realisation hit you like a bus. You were in Asgard and this man before you had to be Odin then. Your brows furrowed. Why were you here? How did you get here?
"Come. You must have many questions." The king said as you got up and followed him "I am Odin of Asgard. Tell me child what is your name?" "M-my name is (Y/n) (L/n). How-how did I get here?" you stuttered as you looked around still walking. "I gave orders to bring you here" He replied casually.

The Jotun prince laid on the ground panting as his brother cradled him in his strong arms "No. No, no, no. Oh, you fool, you didn't listen." "I know." Loki spoke, his voice quiet and weak "I'm a fool. I'm a fool." he gasped in pain. "Stay with me, okay?" The god of thunder spoke close to tears as he pat the other's face to keep him conscious. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" the young god apologized gasping for air but he was quickly shushed by his brother "shhh...it's okay" Thor nodded as tears welled up in his blue eyes. "It's all right. I'll tell father what you did here today" He spoke again the tears now making their way down his cheeks. "I didn't do it for him" The raven haired spoke calmly. As he took his dying breath he spoke his last words "Tell them, I didn't want to be a monster" Just like that the god closed his eyes and went limp in his brother's arms. "NOOO!" Thor shouted in pain and hugged Loki. "I will find them and tell them in your stead brother" He whispered into the other's ear before he let go and left with Jane. Loki's limp body was left in the sand and dirt.

"I take it, you know who your soulmate is,  judging by your reaction. It must certainly be hard to carry all the lies of the god of mischief and lies" Odin raised his eyebrow. "I have heard quite a few stories about him indeed." You replied taking a sip of your tea. You were seated in the throne room across from Odin as he tried to answer some of your questions.
In the middle of your conversation a guard entered and as soon as he spoke up you felt a burning and tingling just underneath your chest.
"Forgive me my liege. I've returned from the Dark World with news. " The guard spoke.
"Thor?" Odin asked with hope. The guard dropped his head a bit at that "There was no sign of Thor or the weapon, but..." As soon as the man spoke up again the tingling began once again in the same place as before. "What?" the Allfather asked.
The tingles continued "We found a body."
Silence filled the air for a moment before Odin spoke "Loki"
The guard just looked at his king with sad eyes. The burning had stopped. "Thank you. Bring this one..." The old king pointed at you "...to Heimdall. Tell him to return them to Midgard. Then you may be dismissed for the day."
Your chin dropped as the guard nodded and turned to you. Oh now you were definitely not going to tell the god that Loki was alive and lying. He grabbed you roughly and brought you out of the throne room and to another room, the room you had woken up in. "Gather your belongings mortal before you return to Midgard." Midgard? Was that what they called earth. As the guard was about to close the door you shouted after him "Mister guard man! Wait!" He raised an eyebrow at you, seemingly amused, but he waited for you to speak nonetheless and so you did "Loki can't be dead." He stared at you confused "Well he is."
Another tingle. This time on your finger, but you ignored it for now seeing as you were focused on the conversation you were having "No. I don't think you understand. I-I know he is alive. I can feel it." A small smile was placed on your lips as the man before you began to laugh, he seemed curious though "And how would a little mortal like you know that? Oh you feel it, of course"
"I-I don't know how I know" That was a lie for you did know why and how "I just know." You finished, he seemed distracted though. While the guard was distracted you took a moment to look at the side of your pinkie finger. "No." You mumbled when you realized the man before you was your soulmate, disguised as a guard. "What?" The man asked. "Nothing" you lied, a small smile on your lips. You were scared yes, but he wouldn't hurt his own soulmate, now would he? "Would you please come in and close the door Loki?~" You asked innocently.
His eyes went wide, confused as to how a simple human like you could look through his disguise with such ease. So he complied. He didn't really have a choice now. As he closed the door, he dissolved his disguise. Green smoke surrounded the man as Loki the trickster god stood before you now. He was stunning. Yes there was a deep hatred for this man inside you, but he did something good today and you hadn't met him before. Well not personally, you had however seen him on TV as he tried to take over the world, you had heard he was under some kind of mind control though. "You are a curious little thing, aren't you?" Loki spoke as he approached you "Who are you and how did you know it was me mortal?"
You grinned "I'm no one important to you" Your smile widened as you noticed him being distracted again. You watched in awe as your statement appeared on the back of his hand.
The black haired god stared at you in disbelief "No...no no no no. How? That's not possible" Before you realized what was happening he was already too close for comfort. He grabbed one of your arms and shoved up your sleeves. Perhaps your senses have weakened after your many years of service. Disbelief filled Loki's eyes as they pierced your own gaze. He let go of your hand as some kind of hatred but also hope filled his eyes "You hate me. You think I'm a monster." He spoke with clenched teeth. He was trying to compose himself, to seem calm, but you easily looked through his disguise. "I do not" You replied, your (e/c) eyes were soft as you looked at him. He stood there, waiting for the tingling and burning somewhere on his pale body. But the feeling never came. You had been truthful. "I know better than to lie to my soulmate." The words escaped your throat before you could even think. "Why did you say it then?!" The god growled. "Said wha-" The mischievous man cut you off "My soulmate could never possibly be a bad person" he quoted your lie "what changed?"
"I-I" you were speechless "I said that, knowing that anyone could be my soulmate, I tried to convince myself to see things positively. I did not know it would affect you as it was about soulmates in general. I am sorry for causing you pain Loki"
"So you don't think I'm a bad person?" he asked, turning your words around "I do know of the bad things you did. You tried to take over my home. I cannot confirm that you are a completely bad person though. I-I don't know you well enough to judge. For I try to build my opinion when I get to know people myself, even if this person is the prince of lies. Besides, you can't be too bad if you are my soulmate, at least not towards me" You grinned, reaching out your hand for him to shake "I'm (Y/n) by the way."
Loki looked at your hand, a smirk on his lips as he held your hand in his and brought it up to his lips to press a small kiss against the back of it. His eyes never leaving yours as a blush took over your features "It is a pleasure to meet you (Y/n). My name is Loki and I do not think I'll send you off to Midgard just yet, if ever..." The last two words were not meant for you to hear but you did. "Before we get to know each other better my soulmate~" he smirked "I have to take care of my father and brother." He turned around and walked towards the door "You stay here for now" the man winked at you before he turned himself into the guard again and left the room.

A/N: This is a rather boring chapter, but we’re far from done!
“She already left several moons ago. It was her own wish, we did not force her.”
“Where to?”
“Midgard.”
Loki was long back on Asgardian territory, yet his mind couldn’t find peace. Well, how could he, now knowing what Laufey told him?
His world had already crumbled to dust when he left you behind - but if Laufey spoke the truth, his whole existence had been built on lies from the very start.
Not knowing where to search for answers, the prince sneaked into Odin’s forbidden chambers, walking in the shadows protecting him in the midst of night.
There it was: The Cascet of Ancient Winters - the very relic that doomed the fate of your newborn, revealing it’s shameful blood to all of Asgard.
It just urged him to try and see for himself, even if the truth would shatter his heart.
“STOP!”
Loki wouldn’t even flinch at the Allfather’s words, already tightly holding the cascet in both hands.
“Am I cursed?”
The God of Mischief wouldn’t even dare to turn around and look at the person he always ever thought to be his father - for as soon as he laid fingers on the cascet, he began turning into that same shade of blue your son did.
Panic began to rise in the young god, fearing to be killed by the people he loved so dearly shall they lay eyes upon what he truly was. His chest began to tighten, fastened breath turning into a cold mist.
“No” was Odin’s firm but unsatisfying answer, to which Loki only responded by putting down the cascet.
“What am I?”
“You’re my son.” His words came from the heart, not even faltering as Loki turned around to present his Jotun form to the Allfather.
“What more than that?!” he almost growled in between gritted teeth, appearance slowly returning to his usual self.
At that deepest, darkest day in his life yet, Loki would be too blinded by betrayal and rage to see his father’s true love towards his adoptive son.
“The cascet wasn’t the only thing you took back from Jotunheim that day, was it?” The prince took firm steps towards the man that he had known all his life, but had become a complete stranger towards him through that sole moment.
Again, only a “no.”
Loki’s mind was racing, thinking about what else may have been hidden from himself - and what kind of consequences that revelation had for everything he had done up until now.
“In the aftermath of the battle, I went to the temple -- and I found a baby” the Allfather continued, “Small, for a giant’s offspring. Abandoned, suffering, left to die...”
“...Laufeyson” Loki completed Odin’s sentence. So every word the King of the Jotunns had said was indeed a fact.
“W-W-why?!” he almost whined, voice weak and defeated. “You were knee deep in Jotun blood, why would you take me?”
“You were an innocent child-”
“No.” The God of Lies himself had become so sick of being fed those, starting to snap. “You took me for a purpose. What was it???”
For what felt like an eternity, there was only silence.
The image of that small, blue child in his arms had been painfully burned into his heart back then. But now that he knew the story behind all of this, it held a completely different meaning.
Just like he had been abandoned back on that frozen rock, he had abandoned his own child, as well as the love of his life.
Outcast, abused, left to die...and now, god knows what had happened to you...
That secret had destroyed more than just his own life. It had ruined the only honest happiness he was ever given - you, and his son.
“TELL ME!”
He just needed to know: The reason behind all the pain and suffering he had to endure - and caused to others as well.
“I thought we could unite our kingdoms one day, bring about an alliance, bring about permanent peace...through you.”
That was just too much for Loki to bear. “What?” he reacted with a barely-there voice, every word of his father shooting daggers through his heart.
“But those plans no longer matter.” No matter what Odin might want to explain, Loki wasn’t able to listen to any more, jumping into his own conclusions.
“So I am no more than another stolen relic, locked up inside of here until you might have use for me?!” he croaked, afraid of the answer.
“Do not twist my words.”
“You could told me what I was from the beginning!” he now yelled, furious at how virtuous Odin would still defend his own action. “Why didn’t you?”
“You’re my son” he repeated once again. “I only wanted to protect you from the truth.”
“Why, ‘cause I-I-I-I’m the monster people tell their children about at night?!” Loki clenched his fists, fingernails drawing blood to his palm.
“At least when my son was born, you should’ve dropped the charade!” Pure agony was dripping from every syllable, and for a mere second, his eyes were glistering bright red once again. “You’ve forsaken two innocent lives - the most important beings in my pathetic existence - and now you’ve burdened me with their suffering as well!”
That sure was a miracle - how a person so broken from the beginning wouldn’t collapse under pressure that huge.
“It all makes sense now, why you favoured Thor, all those years! Because no matter how much you claim to love me, you could never have a Frost Giant sitting on the throne of Asgard!”
But who cares about the throne, honestly? Not him. Not anymore. Ever since he knew you.
It all dawned to him now: What he could have, if only he had put his trust in you like so many times before.
All his life, he only ever remembers a shadow. At first, he thought it to be the shadow of his brother, or never being enough for his own father. Maybe the other Asgardians looking down on him, making him feel like he doesn’t belong.
Yet in the end, that very shadow was inside of his own mind.
But you?
You had loved Loki with all of your heart, banishing the darkness from his mind through your bright affection.
It didn’t matter to you what anyone thought of him - or even what he thought himself to be.
Because you saw him for what he really was, and he found peace with that.
And he was certain that it wouldn’t matter to you whether he called himself Odinson or Laufeyson - as had you loved his child dearly, ever since he took his first breath.
He could never make up for that greatest of his sins, Loki knew that much.
Or...?
“Where are you going, my son?”
Reluctantly, Loki made his way past the man he now only considered a stranger. Still, when Odin tried to reach out to him, Loki immediately ducked away, startled and afraid for his true nature to hurt anyone.
More than ever before, the God of Mischief despised himself to the core of his being. He was lost, confused, shocked - and still, determined.
“Creating a Kingdom for my family.”
___
[Earth, 2 months later]
On times like these, you thought your mind was betraying you.
Especially when you catched yourself reminiscing sweet, innocent moments - far back in the past, before everything you ever held dearly got destroyed.
You still felt his touch, feather-light on your skin, as well as his scent haunting your memories. And sometimes you couldn’t help but wonder how life would have been, well...if things were different.
Frantically shaking your head, you clasped the book closed and threw it into a corner of the small one-room-flat SHIELD had provided for you.
Your magical pockets were always almost empty, except for a few necessities - and that book. It held the first flower Loki ever gifted you, and you had dried it in between those pages so it would never lose it’s beauty.
But now, remembering meant pain - because Loki Laufeyson would never come back.
For he is dead.
Fell of the Bifrost, as confirmed by Heimdall, who secretly kept in touch with you all this time. So you knew it all: Of his grief and treason, which slowly led him into madness.
And what did you do in the meantime?! Nothing at all!
You should’ve tried everything, anything to get back and help him go through that time of need, hel!
“Endure it, Y/N...you need to stay strong...for Liam.” After so many times of telling those words to yourself, you doubted them to have any effect on your broken heart at all.
Yet it would never fail to keep you going. For that wonderful child was proof of your love, and now your last memory of him.
Rocking the small Jotun to sleep, tears found their way to your eyes like so many times before, dropping to the baby’s face unnoticed.
So you tried to sing your pain away as you cooed that little wonder to sleep.
“Å eg lengtar så tidt dette landet å sjå, Og det dreg meg så blidt, når eg langt er ifrå. Med den våknande vår vert min saknad so sår, så mest gråta, mest gråta eg kan. Å eg minnest, å eg minnest, å eg minnest så vel dette land. Å eg minnest, å eg minnest, å eg minnest så vel dette land.”
*Translation:
“Oh I long so long to see this land, And it pulls me so gently, when I'm far away. With the waking spring host my missing so sore, so most cry, most cry eg can. Oh I remember, oh I remember, oh I remember this country as well. Oh I remember, oh I remember, oh I remember this country as well.”

Pompei Sigyn Story by @jonquilclegane
Tumblr media
The moment Prince Loki of Jotunheim saw the Princess Sigyn of Vanaheim, he knew he had to have her. It was during one of Thor’s improvised feasts. Many people, gods and commoners, were present, and so were Sigyn and her sisters. However, Loki had only eyes for one Vanir princess. There was, though, one little problem : Sigyn’s mother, Freya, was well known for her hate of Jotuns. Therefore, Loki decided to kidnap his lady love and find a nice place for them to live in peace. The Prince of Jotunheim, taking the appearance of a mere Midgardian mortal, decided that the little town of Pompei, close to Naples, was perfect. The landscape was divine, the climate a bit too hot for him but Sigyn seems to like it, the people friendly, and the food a true delight. Thanks to his magic, he conjured a small palace with all the commodities and luxuries due to their rank. Here, far from their families, they could enjoy each other’s company and live their love freely and completely under the Italian sun. Unfortunately, Freya found out their love nest, and furious, as Sigyn refused to follow her back to Vanaheim, she provoked an eruption, destroying the whole town and the one besides it, Herculaneum. Loki and Sigyn ran away, going straight to Asgard this time, and begged the AllFather and the AllMother for their protection. The lovers were allowed to marry, but the Queen of Vanaheim disowned her daughter and never spoke to her again.
Jotun Sigyn
Tumblr media
A story about Sylvie's timeline ^^
Sigyn is the legitimate child of a Vanin and his jotun. All her life she is excluded from all ways of her appearance, nevertheless she has become a diplomat and works for peace and trade in all 9 worlds. On one of her travels she meets Loki and they become best friends. Sigyn is also a guest at Loki's wedding to Amora in Asgard and gets to know Heimdall. Heimdall is immediately taken with the half Jotunin and Vanin, even Sigyn is not averse to Heimdall. After emboldened conversations with Loki and Amora, Sigyn and Heimdall start spending more time together, but it's just not quite enough for a real relationship. Both just remain very good friends. And Sigyn concentrates again on her task as a diplomat. However, something happens to Sigyn that shouldn't have been fair, after a night of partying hosted by Thor, which also included Loki, Amora, and many others, is pregnant by an unknown person. She decides to be there for the child and loves her little girl Var very much. Sigyn is completely immersed in her role as a mother. This is how 3 years pass.
But fate strikes and Sigyn loses her best friends when the dark elves attack. Loki and Amora are dead and have decreed with their last will that Sigyn should take care of their son. Sigyn takes the 4-year-old little boy in and swears to Thor that nothing would happen to his nephew if she were alive. Since that day she lives on Jotunheim.
TVA boss Sigyn
Tumblr media
She is the head of the TVA and relentless, she takes her orders from Kang himself, who controls all universes. When Loki shows up in the TVA, Sigyn sets Mobius on him to incapacitate him as he could jeopardize Kang's plans. But when Loki manages to escape, Sigyn and Mobius go after him themselves. Loki does not know that it is his wife who is personally after him, as he believes her to be dead for many centuries. And Sigyn, who has nothing but hatred for her husband, would like to breathe his life out personally.
Teen Sigyn (Tales of Asgard/Kid Loki) by @sigynoffidelity
Tumblr media
What if Teen Sigyn is the only Sigyn in the Void and everyone, especially KingLoki treats her like a Queen because they all soft feelings for her and protect her with their Life?
Childhood friends? I hope we still are.
► Young!Sigyn; My young SIgyn potrayal is around 13 years in midgardian years, but if you wanna play out teenage drama she can also be 16 years old, Sigyn is a very quiet child, prefers to read books and watch people, but she has also some mischievous ideas. At that age she met Loki and they liked each other from the start, they loved books, love/hating their older siblings and are interested in magic.
Years have put space between us and now you seem so far.
Childhood promises never seem to stick.
Best friends forever is an old classic.
What would happen in the future
We were not aware.
Who could forget that one special person who was always there?
The arms into which you fall.
The one to which you crawl.
No more playing in the back yard.
Growing up sure makes being friends hard.
From kids to teenagers we have grown so much.
I wonder how such good friends seem to lose touch.
Maybe destiny will hopefully let us meet again.
Until then this is a letter to an old friend.

Prince Sigyn of Vanaheim Story written by my best friend
Tumblr media
Sigyn put the basket in which he had collected berries on the ground and looked at the position of the sun. It would be time to go home soon, otherwise his family would worry. Sigyn went to the forest every day to collect firewood, berries or mushrooms. Which he brought to those of his people who had nothing else. He did this because she had no one else and it was important to him to support those who sacrificed a lot of their free time to help them.
The young prince was a handsome young man with blue eyes and wheat-blond hair. Sigyn had a cheerful and even-tempered disposition. He liked going into the woods, and when he was alone he would often hum the tune of a song to himself.
Sigyn bent down for the basket, then suddenly stopped moving. A wolf stood not far from him and looked at him. Sigyn sat up and stood motionless, she wasn't afraid of the animal. Her mother hated the wolves, they were beasts that attacked the herds at night. They killed cattle and lambs bloodthirsty. They came from Jotunheimen and the elders of the people even said that wolves had eaten people.
Sigyn had never seen a wolf, he looked at it intensely. 'He's really handsome,' she thought, 'and he looks proud. He must be happy that he can live free.” The wolf moved closer and closer to Sigyn and fixed him with his unfathomable green eyes. Sigyn didn't move, he didn't think for a minute about running from the wolf. She was fascinated by this animal.
The wolf stopped and remained silent for a few minutes, then said, "You are a pure and innocent being. I can trust you with my secret. I'm not a wolf, I'm a prince.” Sigyn listened to his words, his voice sounded so soft. The wolf continued: "You are a magician, son of Frayer, whom all my people hate, but you understand my nature, do not fear us. You have been my heart since I saw you for the first time, I will protect and love you with my life.” The wolf was silent and looked at Sigyn invitingly. Sigyn seemed to think hard. Then he looked up: "But we don't know each other but yes I don't see any wild animals. But if I can love you like you love me. I know that… but I could.” The wolf smiled: “Then I will be yours. Until the day comes when you want to be me fully. Because I will confide in you all. And if you have enough trust in me, then I will allow you to stroke my fur. And only then will you see me in my real form.”
And so Sigyn and the wolf met every day. The wolf told Sigyn stories and how Asgard had once kidnapped him so that he should marry Odin's daughter Amora: "One day Odin had me kidnapped by his eldest son Thor and taken to his castle. He offered me gold and the hand of his daughter Amora if I..." Sigyn interrupted him curiously: "Is Amora really as beautiful as all Baden defeat her?" Overthrew the throne and installed Odin as ruler of both realms.” Sigyn interrupted again, this time indignant: “What a mean plan. A son must never betray his father." The wolf looked at him and nodded in agreement: "Yes, Odin is mean and he is dangerous. Of course I refused his request. He had me chained and thrown in the dungeon. But that wasn't enough for him. He gave a lot of money to a witch who sneaked into his chambers undetected at night and ordered her to kill me if I hadn't turned into a wolf I wouldn't be alive anymore."
Sigyn sighed deeply. It was a very sad story, and he felt deep sympathy for the wolf who was kidnapped by his people to force them to tell. But since it was getting late and she had to go home. He looked at the wolf, who suddenly looked tired and old. He turned away from him: "It's time, I have to go. Farewell.” Sigyn watched him go for a long time. His heart was pounding and he suddenly felt a great warm feeling rise up inside him.
Over supper, Sigyn kept asking her father animatedly about wolves, Asgard, and Jotunheim. She wanted to know everything he knew about it. The father gently stroked his beard, he was able to talk freely today as Frayer wasn't at home.
"Sigyn, that's a lot of things coming together and while I'm glad you want to know more about politics and other things." He lowered his voice, "It's not good to talk about it when your mother is here; but she's not here right now so I can answer your questions." And so Sigyn's father told him everything he knew and talked well into the night.
When Sigyn lay in bed, he tried to organize his confused thoughts, and then this great warm feeling came up in her again. Finally he got up and opened the window of her room, a cool wind brought refreshment. He looked into the starry night and thought he heard the long howl of a wolf.

Dungeons and Desires:
High above the dungeons of Asgard was a place few knew. Once, it was the home of Odin himself, but hundreds of years ago, new residents moved in as the King took his residence closer to the throne. Now, these towers are the home of those whose bodies are available to the right person. Prisoners with a life sentence still have needs that can only be satisfied by the flesh. Set six months after the Battle of New York, Loki applies for the program but only one woman will take him.
Conqueror Sigyn story by @shenanigans-and-imagines
Tumblr media
President Loki/Conqueror Sigyn 48
Word Count: 894
Warning: Heavily Implied Smut
Sigyn stared out into the Void. It was a far cry from the cities and palaces she had ruled over so long ago. In the night, there was nothing to see, save for the purple light of Alioth somewhere on the horizon. All the same, the darkness provided a blank canvas allowing visions of the distant past and future to play in front of her eyes.
To her dismay, she was forced back into the immediate present as Loki's arms twisted around her.
"I thought you were asleep," she said.
"Funny, I was going to say the same thing," he countered, as he pressed a long hard kiss to her neck. The intent was obvious, especially as his hands roamed up and down her body.
She could feel him smile against her skin as his lips lazily made their way up to her ear.
He began to hum something. She couldn’t name the tune, but she let it lead her anyway. Her hips swayed and soon she was in Asgard again. The golden pillars of the palace came into her visions. She could feel the heat of the torch light as she and her husband danced on the balcony under the stars. There were still worlds to see and conquer, but in that moment only the two of them existed.
“There we are. Not so bad to let another lead, is it my pet?”
Sigyn’s eyes snapped open, the vision shattering into pieces as she was once again thrust into the black and cold.
Why couldn’t he have the good common decency to keep his mouth shut?
“I’m not your pet,” she growled. She moved to push him away, but he only held her tighter.
She didn’t know when he had turned her around. All she knew was that she could see the full front of his infuriating face.
It was yet another reminder that he was not her Loki. He held all the same features, but the eyes were all wrong. Her husband looked at her as a mortal looks at a goddess, this Loki looked at her as a dog looks at a forgotten carcass.
“If not a pet, what else?” he mocked. “Lover? Mistress? Whore?”
“I’m not your anything,” she spat, her teeth bared. “And you are nothing to me, save a body. If your tongue weren’t useful in other ways, I’d have cut it out the moment I met you.”
Something flashed behind his eyes. If he were her Loki, she wouldn’t have called it hurt. It barely lasted a second. It seemed arrogance was the only thing allowed to take permanent residence with occasional visits from a dangerous smile.
“There are plenty here with the same body, and yet you choose mine,” he said. “Why is that? Why is it me you come to in the night? What is it about my cock that leaves you dripping for more?”
He spoke low, the words sliding hot and heavy into her ear.
He wasn’t her Loki. Her Loki whispered praise and worship, promising her the world and all that lay in it. All this Loki seemed capable of doing was talk about himself. And yet, that persistent ache between her legs grew harder and harder to ignore. It was pissing her off.
She didn’t think. She just focused on her hands, filling them with magic before blasting Loki away from her.
He landed hard on the floor, his eyes wide in surprise.
She didn’t give him time to do much else. With a flick of her hand, a muzzle wrapped around his mouth and chains formed around his wrists.
He moved to get up, but the chains were too heavy. His hands were left useless above his head leaving him pinned, gagged and helpless.
Sigyn felt herself able to breathe again. It was always good to give him these little reminders of who she truly was. For all his talk, she was in control, not him.
She was tempted to leave him there. It would be an effective lesson, certainly. Maybe the other Loki’s would find him. Maybe he’d break free. It didn’t matter either way. Like he said, there were plenty of others in the Void with his body.
She turned to do just that, when she heard a muttering behind her. She looked back to see Loki’s head raised and eyes furious.
She smiled. Silently she flicked her wrists, pulling the gag away. It was only fair to let him beg.
“Yes?” she prompted.
Loki held his head high, or at least as high as he could, making a point to look her in the eye.
“My apologies, if my words offended you, your highness,” he said. “Allow me to make amends. My tongue, as you said, has other uses. I would be more than happy to show you all of them.”
Sigyn stood, her lips pressed into a hard line as her mind and body battled inside her.
In the end, the body won. To his credit, Loki made good on his promise and used his tongue in ways she had forgotten existed.
She could always kill him later. She could stop whenever she wanted.

Loki had been banished to Midgard after the whole invasion thing, something about living on his own and learning that there was consequences to his actions. He would have no contact with Asgard or the royal family till Odin thought he learned his lessons.
Frigga managed to convince Odin to let Loki keep some of his abilities to use them for good and to protect himself along with others if he shall. Loki was angry of course that his seidr was being limited especially after everything that Odin had done to him. Loki had been destructive in his anger but once that wore off, he was sad and alone so he moped.
Once the trickster god got himself together, made himself a home, a garden, a barrier so nobody could bother him. Loki was pretty much cutting himself from the outside world and focusing on himself. The cabin was furnished to his liking and a reminder of home, not advanced like most homes were here on Midgard but he managed
This was not the first time Fandral had agreed to go behind Odin's back at Thor's request, of course. Not even the first time he'd left the realm against Odin's orders, as they had already done that when going to Jotunheim and Midgard. This would, however, be the first time he had done so alone.
So he couldn't help but be a little nervous. Heimdall had checked up on Loki multiple times whenever Thor asked. But, as Thor explained, Heimdall could only give him a picture of Loki's progress, and Loki was smart enough to know that Heimdall could see him. Thus, he needed to get some idea of how Loki was really doing on the inside.
So, Fandral found himself in search of Loki's little house in a rural area. Heimdall had sent him down a little ways away from the house, since arrival through the bifrost tended to be rather disruptive and they didn't want to startle anyone.
He came upon the only house for miles and began to think Heimdall had surely gotten the location wrong, though that was nearly impossible. The quaint homestead looked nothing like what he would expect from Loki.
