"What did we do wrong?" "I don't know."
Tumblr media
🙋🏻 I think I might.
It's the hot cocoa.
Or rather… it's Loki semi-unintentionally siding with Sylvie over Mobius.
Tumblr media
In this episode, that's the tipping point. And so is lack of trust.
What we just watched is the version where things go very wrong and they fail.
But here's the delightful part to remember: things had to go wrong exactly like this, so eventually things can go very right. Because as "wrong" as this was, it had at least one purpose: Loki pruning himself.
Tumblr media
That being said... "What's wrong?"
We've got a list.
Tumblr media
-Timely's gone.
-Miss Minutes is back (and so is Renslayer).
-Dox and her team are dead.
Now work it backwards.
Miss Minutes / Renslayer get in, Brad is freed, and Dox and her team are killed. D-90 isn't there.
Why isn't he there?
He was sent to be with Victor.
D-90 is killed and Victor is taken at the hot cocoa machine, which delays everything.
Why are they at that machine?
Because Mobius got cocoa.
Tumblr media
Why did Mobius get hot cocoa?
Because he wanted pie, but Sylvie yelled at him.
And when Loki didn't defend him in that crucial moment and actually walked away from him instead, Mobius simply got hot cocoa by himself as a pick-me-up.
Tumblr media
Therefore: Lokius is the tipping point.
What did they do wrong?
What happened?
Loki and Mobius were separated and weren't on the same page. THAT'S what happened. And so, everything fell apart.
Tumblr media
Words – or the lack of them, in Loki's case above when he didn't defend Mobius – can change everything.
For good or for bad.
(These shots are back to back:)
Tumblr media
Lack of trust is also why things fall apart.
Sylvie attacks Mobius because he walks away, trusting the work to O.B. and Casey and Victor.
Tumblr media
She can't fathom that. She sees it as a weakness. But it's one of his greatest strengths, and it's their only way forward.
It's also part of the "trust for others" theme that's been present from the very first episode of the show, and it's a primary lesson that Loki's first had to learn through his relationship with and love for Mobius.
And the necessity of trust is showcased throughout this episode in other places. Sylvie accuses Loki of putting a lot of faith in the others, and simultaneously she keeps talking about the TVA as a corrupted place / institution instead of seeing the individual people capable of change.
Tumblr media
But Loki explains to her that it's about the people. He lists the names of his new family – the people he trusts – as being the heart of things. What's worth saving and worth fighting for.
Tumblr media
Brad and Dox are mirroring the trust theme here too, of course.
Brad doesn't trust B-15, and he doesn't pick trusting or aligning with anyone. He dooms Dox and the others to die.
But she sees the big picture and is willing to die with integrity rather than betray the PEOPLE of the TVA.
Tumblr media
And Victor?
He says he doesn't trust anyone… but then he chooses to change. With O.B., he chooses to have a partner.
(Not dissimilar to the ways we've seen Loki change over the show, too.)
And were it not for the ~hot cocoa,~ in THIS regard, things were going "according to plan."
Tumblr media
So as Victor says in the season 2 trailer in a clip we haven't heard yet (!!!): they have to "make the hard choice," of course.
Trust each other, work to fix what's broken, have hope, and STAY.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Loki and Mobius, the personification of chaos and order in balance, HAVE to stay together or it turns to shit.
Loki can't turn into a better leader if he ends up being Who Remains all by himself. He's gonna need his partner and the rest of his people for the TVA to truly change.
Tumblr media
But how are they gonna do that if they all just blew up? Lmao.
Well… that part of the theory's a work in progress.
But this involves both butterfly effects and time loops. Somehow we'll likely be going backwards to earlier versions of them that will be trying again.
And depending on just how far back they go… Loki and Mobius' influence on each other may be a snake eating its own tail, just like Ouroboros and Victor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Regardless, pretty sure Mobius is correct here. As he tends to be, lol.
Tumblr media
It's gonna be Loki's turn. God of Mischief becoming the Loki Who Remains that Mobius needs, etc.
And it always comes down to the two of them at the heart of things, somehow.
Last thing:
I'm not convinced those versions of them all survived the blast that happened because of these wrong turns, to be honest with you.
Tumblr media
But if anyone did… the gods did.
Tumblr media
And they're (hopefully) not gonna make the same mistakes twice.
Tumblr media

“Oh, David.”
He grunted, rejecting what sounded like pity in your voice. It was a reflex, despite you telling him over and over again that you empathized with his hard work. He simply refused to let you feel bad for him.
And you refused for him to not let you do that. How could you not feel bad for your man? He looked dishevelled at best. His clothes were wrinkly, his coat was wet from the rain outside. His beard was unusually long. He smelled of cheap body soap, one labelled a manly tornado of masculine jungle and virile storm clouds.
David started to explain, calculating his words so that he would not speak in vain. He told you that he found a truck stop and used their showers before driving back home. His presence for the investigation was supposed to last a day or two, but he was required to stay on the field for about a week. Unlike his colleagues, he turned his back to the offer of a comfortable bed at the motel and a warm breakfast every morning. He stayed ready and awake for as long and as much as he could, in case of something happening.
You helped him out in silence as he spoke. How you had missed the sound of his voice without the bad network of the phone service struggling to pick up from the place he stayed for the past week. It could have been in the middle of the Bermuda triangle for all you knew, it cut you off too many times and prevented you from falling asleep to the gentle humming of David as he played in his mind songs that looped on the radio during patrol.
He let you remove his drenched coat. He watched you until you disappeared into the bathroom, he assumed you were hanging the coat in the shower where it could drip and dry without making a mess. He loved your attention to details, and how it mirrored his very own. He let you untie his boots so that he could step out of them. He let you do every small and big gestures to get him comfortable.
You offered him a fresh set of clothes, soft worn-out sweatpants and an old t-shirt that had been waiting for his arrival since the moment he walked out of the door. While he changed, you discarded of the dirty work clothes that he wore. You did not comment on how difficult it would be to wash away the dried stains of mud. He was probably kneeling outside in the rain, searching for a piece of information regarding the investigation. Day and night, you knew he devoted himself to his case.
“Love?” He called out for you. He blinked as he caught sight of you, being a busy bee from one room to the other around the house. You hands were full one second, empty the next one. Loki both loved and hated how this all came naturally to you. He loved the ways with which you both took care of each other. You handled the seemingly mindless tasks that weighted heavy on his shoulders while he provided you with a safe, strong presence and with arms to fall into when you needed. When he was actually there.
You finally reappeared in the living room. Your face lit up with a smile at the sight of him. He already looked better in the clean clothes. The shirt stretched over his broad chest, over his soft tummy. “Tell me the story of when you got this t-shirt.”
Loki grinned and looked down at the World’s best fisherman shirt. He explained how he picked it up from the lost and found box at the police station he worked prior to the current one. A cliché altercation between him and a box of donuts had led to him interrogate his first potential criminal with a prideful fisherman shirt. His retelling of the story always made the two of you smile.
It worked as a way to bring his feet down on the ground, to focus on what was important. As a bonus, it was simply entertaining to imagine Loki walking around with that shirt while trying to appear as almighty and professional. “Do you want something to eat?”
The corners of his lips curled into a smile and he followed you to the dimly lit kitchen. In a few swift movements, you had bread, peanut butter, jelly as well as a couple of utensils pulled out on the counter. The final touch was added by David’s arms wrapping around your waist from behind as you assembled his sandwich.
You spread the peanut butter all the way to the crust of the bread and on the other slice, you scooped strawberry jelly and made sure to get chunks of fruit too. Just how he liked it, just how you made it when you packed his lunch for mornings where he was too busy and tired to remember to take care of himself. You pressed the layers together gently and cut it in two triangles, handing him the bigger half.
He thanked you with a kiss on your cheek as he grabbed one of the triangles, taking a big bite out of it. He could easily guess you would have preferred to welcome him home with a big, warm meal. Although, in his mind at this very moment, he saw no difference between that sandwich and something that would have taken hours to make and double the amount of time to bake. And besides, he thought a lot about what he wanted to do during this break from the investigation. He needed to keep his mind and hands busy. This sounded like the right opportunity to invest crazy amounts of time into food you could cook together. Or you’d settle from ordering takeout from the Chinese food restaurant.
You cleaned up once you were both done eating, still with David holding you tight like a safety belt. “Want me to tell you about my day?” He hummed, agreeing. So you did just that, you shared the silly details with him as a way to make him feel included despite his long absence. Sometimes, you disliked sharing stories of your life with him. He was a creature of habit, it was hard to remind David that you were just telling about your encounter with a rude person at the grocery store and it was not an investigation. He would analyze your words, scrutinize your reactions, until you told him to relax.
He did not need such a reminder, at that very moment. Loki leaned his head on your shoulder, not minding how contorted his spine was to maintain him in that position. His eyelids were getting heavy, and so was he. He was half listening and half falling asleep on you.
For every night of the past week, you would have traded anything just to be crushed by his sleeping body and keep him safe and warm. However, you imagined it would be in bed and not laying flat in the middle of the kitchen if you even found the space for that anyway. “Come on, big boy. It’s time for your nap.” You turned gently in Loki’s arms, causing him to gain just enough consciousness to grunt in dissatisfaction. You draped his left arm over your shoulders and held him tightly as you both limped your way to the living room.
Any further, and David would have fallen down on the floor. You helped him to the couch so he could lay down. He shook his head slowly when you presented him with one of the throw pillows. He opened his eyes just long enough to lock his gaze with yours and he grinned when you understood his silent request. He sat up, struggling to stay still, until you joined him on the couch.
You stretched your legs up on the coffee table and you let Loki slowly rest his head on your lap. The sigh he let out made your heart clench inside your chest. He was killing himself trying to save people from dying. All you could do was stand by his side and help keep his head above water for as long as he would let you.
Loki saw it differently. He saw all of the love-filled gestures as a sacrifice as big as his. He appreciated each and every single one of them, and tonight was just the same. He appreciated how you peeled away the layers of stress, of turmoil and of fear. You did that by helping him with his clothes and also by keeping safe physically and at peace mentally.
“It’s okay, now.” You whispered as you placed your right hand on his stubbly cheek, your left one played with his hair. You were soothing both of your souls while trying to make up for all the time he spent away.
You repeated that it was okay over and over again until he, too, said the words to himself. He was okay. For now. And, for now, it was all that mattered. There would never be enough words and actions that could show you how thankful he was to have someone to rely on.
“You’re home.” You smiled down at him and watched him closely as he relaxed under your touch. You stroked your thumb over his lips, tickling his sensitive and chapped skin until his mouth parted open and his breathing slowed down.
He was seconds away from drifting into sleep. His eyelids were heavy. On your thigh, his head was heavy too with all its of horrors and sorrow. His voice sounded gentle and calm. “My love.”
A single tear fell from your cheek and down on the hand that was caressing his. Hearing the words in person rather than on the phone healed the pain that Loki’s absence had put you through once more. You leaned your head back to rest it on the couch and you closed your eyes too. Though it came with all sorts of tribulations, you were just as thankful as him to have someone to rely on.

Loki had been your best friend for centuries, you both fought by each others side and often trained a lot together. You two were thick as thieves, and a lot of your good memories were with him. But little had you known that tonight your way of viewing one of the closest people to you would change forever.
But finally you were able to get to sit down with your friends after a long day of trying to save the people of Asgard. Althought Asgard was completely destroyed, at least you still had the people. You, Thor and Loki were sitting on a couch together in the ship and drinking booze to try to think happy after everything that happened.
“ and then he turned back and was like, “ aha it’s me! “ and then he stabbed me— do you remember that, brother? “ Thor wheezed, smacking Lokis shoulder in the process. Thor had already told this story today, but he had to admit it was great. Loki’s lips twitched a bit like he were trying to hold in the laugh. You laughed along with them, your mind a bit fuzzy from the booze. Loki hadn’t been drinking much, which was surprising since he loved it as much as Thor did.
“ how about that time you tried to push me off the roof, brother!? yeah? “ Thor wheezed again, Loki couldn’t hold it in anymore and hollered with laughter. The small room was filled with the sounds of you three laughing like all was good. Soon the laughter died out and Thor stood up.
“ I’m going to try and get a little nap in. “ he sighed. you had to admit, the man needed it. You and Loki smiled at him and nodded.
“ Have fun, you two. “ he said with a slight smile before walkig out of the room and closing the door behind himself.
Loki turned to look at you and smiled.
“ Shall we continue the party, darling? “ he asked with a wicked grin. You knew that meant he had something Mischievous in mind. Oh but you didn’t know if you could stay any longer, you were getting tired as well. You simply shook your head.
“ Oh, I’m not so sure. I should probably leave “ You raised yourself from the couch but he put his hand on top of yours, taking you off guard.
“ Stay with me. “ He pulled you back down on the couch with him and looked at you with somber eyes. His hand brushed your cheek gently, his eyes staring into yours. He leaned in with you, his lips brushing against yours ever so lightly. At first you didn’t feel anything until you begun to follow along into the kiss. You had never felt feelings for him, but maybe he felt for you. He pulled away slowly, his thumb caressing your cheekbone softly.Your face was flushed red. His eyes were watery now, his hand falling back down to his side.
“ please. “ the words came out of his mouth under his breath so lightly it was like the cold breeze on a warm summer day. You nodded your head and got comfortable in your seat again.
“ Very well. I guess I don’t really have anywhere else to go. “ You said, feeling your tears building back up again. Loki nodded, knowing what you were feeling and rubbing your hand comfortingly.
“ you know, we never really had our time to truly grieve for the ones we lost today. “ he said, still smiling despite shedding a tear himself. Your head felt heavy, tears streaming down your cheeks like a waterfall.
“ I just— I saw my whole family die before my eyes today. “ You spoke through sobs, your nose burning as you recalled the memories you wished weren’t true. Loki’s hand went to your back and pulled you into his warm embrace. He gave the top of your head a kiss and he sniffed quietly.
“ Thors all I have left. “ he said with a shaky laugh. You felt tears rushing harder. Your chest felt like it was being blocked off and you could barely breathe.
“ I don’t have anything left. “ you sobbed into his chest. You were probably getting his shirt wet from your snot and tears but you didn’t care. Loki hummed and sniffed again.
“ That’s not entirely true, love. “ he spoke, running his hand through your hair gently. You looked up at him with a raised brow.
“ You have me. I’m here for you. “ he said, looking down at you with the kindest eyes you had ever seen. something deep inside those eyes were filled with such loss and sadness, it made you want to cry even more of that was possible. It was odd because you had never seen Loki genuinely cry.
You chortled through your sobs and buried your face in his chest again. His hand ran up and down your back soothingly, making you melt further into his embrace.
“ Thank you, Loki. “you choked out, your voice muffled by his armored chest. He chuckled and pressed another kiss to your forehead.
“ it’s obvious but… “ He took his hand off yours and used it to lift your chin to force your gaze up to him. “ I love you, y/n. “ and with that his lips crashed with yours again, except this time more rough. His hands wrapped around your waist and moved your body backwards, making you lay down on your back as he hovered above you. His tongue slid into your mouth, dancing with yours like some somber tango. His hands reached underneath your long layered skirt and moved it down to your waist so he could position himself between you nicely. He pulled his mouth away from your so you both could catch your breaths.
“ I l- love you too, Loki. “ you panted, your cheeks sticky and wet from the dried tears. His lips curled back into that familiar smile.
“ watch this. “ he said lowly, the with the flash of green he was magicked out of his clothes. You chuckled, of course he was going to do that. Your eyes wondered every part of his naked form, admiring his every curve and muscle. His hand then went on your chest and his lips pecked yours once again.
“ and this. “ he spoke with a grin. you opened your eyes to see that you were naked as well. You whimpered at the sudden coldness hitting your bare body.
“ Loki what if someone comes in? “ you asked, covering your chest at the thought of it. Loki shook his head and laughed.
“ we’re fine, darling. the door is locked. “ Loki said nonchalantly, lowering his head in between your thighs, making you blush madly. Loki smirked and kissed your lower abdomen gently. His warm breath on your skin was sending shocks through your body.
“ do you want to see real magic though? “ Loki’s voice was low and gravely as he looked at your through his brows. You looked at him curiously, tilting your head a bit. He chuckled, his lips trailing from your stomach to the wet mess in between your thighs. You gasped and clasped your hand to your mouth as his greedy mouth made contact with your mound. His warm tongue explored your folds as his hands rested comfortably on the back of your thighs. You started to buck your hips up a little as he kissed you deeper, making you moan louder and louder with each blissful movement. His lips sucked and licked your clit with his oh so talented tongue, making you feel pleasure like no other. Having this happen after all the tears put everything off your mind, which is just what the both of you needed. Maybe Loki was the one who you could see yourself spending the rest of your life with. You had hoped this would be something more taht just one night and he truly meant he loved you. His tongue was certainly saying so.
He lifted your leg and placed it across his shoulders and continued to eat at you hungrily, moving the tip of his tongue in circles around your throbbing bud. You gripped his hair curly as the waves of ecstasy washed over you like a tsunami. The tips of his lips pecked your clit, his tongue peeking out again to dance with your wet folds. He gave your wetness one last kiss before rising himself back up to kiss your lips.
“ Are you sure you want me to take you? “ Loki said breathless as he pulled away. His head dropped into your neck and begun pecking at it lightly.
“ I am certain. Please be my first, Loki. “ You whispered, tugging at his long inky curls. He leaned in to kiss your lips again, you could feel his smile through the kiss like this moment was all he had wanted. He groaned into your mouth his hands pulled yours out of his hair, intertwining your fingers with his in the process. His lips trailed back down to your neck again as his erect length came into contact with your aching entrance. His pace started off a bit slow and leisured, his hips rocking against yours like a beautiful tempo. Moans escaped your lips, your hips bucking upwards in anticipation as he gave you just what you needed. Pleasure was washing over you intensely, your fingers were curling into Lokis skin as a way to cling onto something. The room was beginning to get hot and your bodies rubbed together passionately.
Loki moaned into your neck, both of your breaths beginning to get ragged. He rose up and grabbed the top cushion of the white couch, his pace increasing and becoming rougher with each thrust.
“ oh f-fuck, min kjære.. “ he moaned, his head cranked back and his eyes shut tight while pumping wildly into you. You cried loudly and arched your back, feeling him inching closer to the spot you so needed him to hit. He let go of your hand and gripped the cushion beneath you both, propelling his memeber into you briskly. Your lips met his again, but this time it was sloppy and needy while your fingernails dug into the skin of his back. You clung onto him like he was your only support, your legs wrapping around his waist to deepen his thrusts. The feeling was pure bliss. This was nothing like you had felt before, nothing you had ever experienced. But you felt lucky. making love with a Prince who you not only didn’t know you loved into now, but who also loves you and knows you better than anyone else in this world. Your bond with him was strong and now you felt closer to him than ever.
“ Loki, I’m so- ah! c-close! “ you moaned, your head toy lying back and your eyes rolling to the back of you head as he brought you closer to heaven. You didn’t think you could take it anymore. You grabbed his shoulders and flipped your positions so you were on top. Loki chuckled, his hands going to your hips as you frantically rolled them forward and back on his waist.
“ oh, y/n… “ he sighed out in ecstasy as you bounced and rocked against his pulsating length. His hands slipped down to your ass and grabbed it firmly as you rode him like it was the last thing you could do. He moaned and flipped you back on the bottom, his hardness hitting your sweet spot repeatedly and making you scream in elation. Your chest heaved up and down rapidly, your body shaking as a burning sensation grew inside you. Loki felt it too.
“ Come for me, min kjære. Drip all over me as much as you need to. “ he groaned, kissing your lips hungrily while his blistering pumps never tried out. And just like that, your orgasm hit and shocks of pleasure went through your whole body and made you quiver. You shuddered while the warm liquid discharged your sopping cunt, staring into Loki’s eyes while doing so. The release made you felt empty, yet so complete. But Loki wasn’t entirely finished. He smirked and patted your thighs.
“ Legs up, baby. “ He panted with a smile on his face, his voice low and laced with desire. You whimpered and weakly moved your legs in the air. He grabbed the back of your calf’s and pulled them over his broad shoulders, his length still buried deep within you. With just one simple move of his cock, he was able to make you scream louder than before. Your cunt was stretched and dripping, sensitive and prone to relase again if he continued to push you over the edge. Your eyes didn’t want to open, but you knew he was staring at you with a mischievous smirk.
“ oh gods, look at you. “ he chuckled as he began rocking his hips again. You moaned loudly and cried out as he hit that spot again. You gripped his forearms, your nails digging into his skin while his pace built back up. Your chest was shaking as it heaved up in down, you felt like you couldn’t breathe from the intensity of the moment. His name left your mouth like a soft melody to his ears, his skin smacking against yours and his memeber rubbing against your cunt and creating loud wet noises.
“ keep moaning like that, baby. “ he breathed, clenching your soft thig harshly while he thrashed against you. You cried, feeling that burning sensation again as he drove recurrently into your sweet spot.
“ ha— L-Loki I’m gonna cum again! D-don’t stooop..“ You moaned, your head tilting back as you screamed and cried in orgasmic bliss. Loki growled and with one final thrust, he came undone into your soaking cunt, filling you up and coating your cunt from deep within your core. You also reached your second peak around his shaft, adding to the mess. The second you came, your body fell limp and he let go of your legs.
“ good girl. “ he praised, pecking your trembling lips. Your legs were shaking and your body was convulsing from the intensity. You looked at him with wide eyes, still trying to comprehend everything that had just happened. He slowly pulled out, making more of your mixed orgasms spill out if you. You both panted and laid there for a moment, kissing and holding hands silently. You felt your nose burning and you started crying again. As much as you were happy, you were also still very sad from earlier.
“ I love you, Loki. Please don’t leave me too, just promise me you’ll stay with me until death parts us. “ You whimpered softly, tears rolling down your soft cheeks again. Loki looked at you with wide eyes, feeling a tight sensation in his chest that he had never felt before. He nodded with a warm smile, his pale nose now red as he felt his eyes getting watery as well.
“ yes, yes, of course. I profoundly promise you from the bottom of my heart, that I will never leave you no matter the circumstances. “ he said, pulling your hand in and giving your skin a gentle kiss. With a flash of green, he used his magic to clothe your bodies. Loki had never genuinely fallen in love with someone, he had dated multiple people in his very long life but he had never fallen this hard. But those eyes he gave you. He looked at you a way he never looked at anyone, those soft and kind green eyes that looked at you with a smile despite seeing everything that it had seen in the past.
You sniffed and your thumb brushed his cheek gently.
“ My prince, “ you whispered through a smile. He sniffed and chuckled, leaning down to kiss your lips again.
“ My queen, “ he responded with a chuckle, knowing he had done better than you. You chuckled and rolled your eyes, your fingers moving to tangle around his dark hair as his head lowered down to peck your sternum. His warm breath tickled your skin, his soft lips abrading your breasts. You made a small noise as his lips sucked on your skin harsh enough it was sure to leave a mark. But the passion of the moment was quickly broken up when there was a loud crash from afar followed by the sounds of screaming. Lokis head shot up from your chest, his eyes filled with terror and confusion.
“ Loki, what was that? “ you asked, your head looking around the room as if you would find the answers there. He shook his head, but it all happened too quickly. There was a loud frantic pound at the door.
“ Brother! Asgards under attack, Brother! “ Thors panicked voice yelled from the other side of the door. You stared at Loki in horror as he immediately got off you and rushed to the door. You had never seen him so scared in his life, it was almost like he knew why and how this was happening. He gave you once last glance as you stood up and rushed for him.
“ Loki what’s going on? “ you asked, utterly terrified as you grabbed his arm and tried to stop him. A tear ran down his cheek and he wiped away your own tears with his thumb.
“ I don’t know, darling but I need you to stay here. “ He said, his voice strong but with an undertone of fear. You felt your heart racing, you didn’t want anything happening to him or your people. You shook your head and sobbed.
“ no, no, no let me go with you! “ you said, holding his hand in your own while as he stared at the door and then back at you.
“ no, I can’t have anything happening to you. please just stay here. “ he said, giving your forehead a quick kiss as his hand pulled on the door handle.
“ Loki, don’t leave me— “ He kissed your lips one last time before quickly turning away.
“ I promise you I will come back for you. Please just stay here, darling. “ But that promise would never be fulfilled, Loki wouldn’t be coming back for you.

Personally, I think Thor is held back back his continuous lack of any real character arc, and that started back in Ragnarok. There's no growth or change in Thor in that movie, he just gets lighting powers in the end. IW and EG had all of the opportunity to make something of Thor but they squandered it by making Thor's grief a joke. They pull in for like 30 seconds to show that he's sad but then they immediately pull out and make another fat.
Thor has lost everything, his home, his friends, and his family. His civilization is a fraction of what it was the glorious title of King of Asgard is practically meaningless on earth. Even the victory Thor got at the end of TR is worthless. It didn't help Thor protect anyone and he can't use it to rebuild what loss. All that is ripe for a fascinating story about Thor's character. But the narrative doesn't even try. Thor basically just told; Ehh just pick yourself up. That's it that's all Thor gets.
Love and Thunder also had a chance to expand Thor's arc and even the sentiment that Frigga tried to convey to Thor. But it never even tries, thor ends the movie where he started. Just wandering around just fighting whatever battle he can find, except this time he's putting a child on the battlefield. But the opening showed that Thor got no fulfillment or purpose from doing that and was also pretty reckless and thoughtless about it as well.
It doesn't come off as a truly happy ending. It comes off as more troubling, and that Thor going to fall into a depressive cycle. The better ending would have been staying in New Asgard and raising Love there, so she could have normalcy and friends. Thor would be ready to fight when needed, but he would find a new purpose be a part of a new family, and step away from the path of a warrior. Becoming the father who cares and lives for his child instead of the one who tries to groom his children for warlike Odin and Bor. Break the damaging cycle that his family created.
Thor should talk about the people he lost, he should talk about Loki. Stop trying to avoid his name like it is a curse. If Thor is grieving then he should care about what he lost. Thor did kind of define himself by who he was in the eyes of other people and with everyone gone now he lost. Talk about Loki, have Thor want him back, and have Thor reflect on his past and what it meant. It is frustrating to have so much opportunity and then have writers do nothing with it.
At this point maybe it would be for the best if Thor took a backseat and let someone else take the mantle and just have Thor retire.

I do want Tom to go and do other things than Marvel. He is so talented it would be a shame if he didn´t. I am incredibly excited for The Life of Chuck and we definitely need more of The Night Manager.
But at the same time, I want to see him more as *this* Loki. He got an awesome new clothes, absolutely fantastic new powers, and we barely saw him use both. And he could still have so many stories to tell. Only looking back into comics which offfers possibilites for the God of Stories himself.
And also, Kevin Feige *must* know that Tom is one his biggest assets right now and probably rains money on Tom. Yes, the new Deadpool trailer is hyping again but I saw more excitement about TVA appearing, or Hugh returning as Wovlerine than Deadpool himself. It is a big unknown and could backfire. Or could be a hit. But the truth is that there are only a few core characters carrying the MCU now, and Loki is one of them.
I would like to see Tom back for Secret Wars (where he will be 99%), but also finally reunite with Chris. If he appeared in Thor 5, I would not mind at all.
And most of all, him and Owen are gold. Their chemistry even on stage, watching the two of them interacting and talking, was absolutely stunning. They obviously share a lots of creative ideas, have similar hobbies and I think given Owen´s invention and Tom´s way of thinking everything through, created a unique duo. I could imagine them doing a projct outside of Marvel, if I am perfectly honest. And I would not mind watching another season of the two of them doing the time cop budies schtick.
And I loved the finale, I loved how the arc wrapped but the more time goes by, the more I think possible S3 could work. Maybe use those thousand years Loki was going back to learn physics. I am sure he was not just doing that...or maybe just give them more time in the Avengers movie.
But mostly, him and Mobius should just reunite. I am not a shipper or don´t really care about romance, and if Loki would end up NOT kissing anybody, I could care less. But it would be shameful not to use them in the future. If they are smart at Marvel, they must see it.
And lastly....I am NOT dissing Sophia di Martino here. To see all three of them on stage was a delight and she obviously loves what she is doing. But the Loki/Sylvie thing really did not work for me. I don´t care about selfcest or whatever people came up with. This thing does not even exist in real life as it is a fantasy concept. We have seen a movie where the character had a child with his former female self and the child was...him. So really, it is a sci-fi and everything is possible. I just think the sort of sibling or friends chemistry worked much better. And...to be honest, I am not sure I need to see her in the future MCU by just herself. Sylvie for me personally is not that interesting because in season 1, she was basically a plot point and a love interest, where Waldron threw something on the wall like: "Hey, have Loki to fall in love with himself and we can figure out her personality later!", dropped her on us midway through and asked us to care for her.
Obviously clueless what to do with her, because Waldron left without leaving any notes what he was going to do with her - if anything except the "fall in love with himself" thing, they decided to write her as anti-Mobius. So she has no real agenda, wants to be left alone then changes her mind, then gets in the way and then hangs around the TVA "to help" only to just...being there, doing nothing, just stating the obvious. And at the end, she was the only one happy because she finally got what she wanted all along. So I am honestly not even sure what more her character has to offer - but I will be gladly surprised. I just think she is, at this point, the least interesting from all the Loki characters, and I count even OB and Casey to that equation. But again, I will be happy if they surprise me and will make her a character that is more than just angry and vengeful and lectures people around about what she thinks is right and wrong. Please, surprise me, Marvel, here, as well.
I think B-15 and Ravonna were in S2 served far better, however they were not as present as Sylvie but B-15 had a beautiful arc and Ravonna was an awesome antagonist whose intentions were obvious - however she found a cruel way how to reach them (kudos to Gugu).
So I would not mind seeing them ALL back for more, I loved them as a bunch, the whole group and the way they all were together from episode 4 on was great.
But really, we just *need* Loki and Mobius together once more, even if they at least should say a proper goodbye to each other because they did not have the chance.

Bucky sees you after you broke up and you're with someone else
Bucky x female reader
Loki x female reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It has been months since you and Bucky ended things. Bucky was the one who wanted to end things. We need to break up...there is someone else...
Y/N can’t get those words out of her head. Every day she wondered what was wrong with her, was she not good enough? not pretty enough? did he cheat? or did he wait to get with this mystery girl after they broke up? what changed? did she do something that made him fall out of love? His words filled her mind for months but now she’s moving on.
It’s been 2 months since she started seeing other people. The first month was full of bad first dates, and nothing stuck. The guys wouldn’t care about conversations, didn’t care about getting to know her, they just thought they could pay for a meal and get her into their bed but that isn’t how Y/N works. She wasn’t looking for hookups, she just wanted another good man in her life. She was ready to take a break when she ran into Thor. Thor is a friend she met through Bucky and she has missed his presence. “Lady Y/N  How are you today? I haven’t seen you in forever!” “Oh hi, Thor. I’m okay how have you been honey?” “I’ve been great Lady Y/N but I have been missing you. Oh, have you met my brother Loki? LOKI!” From the other side, Loki walked towards the two friends. With a look of bother, he grumbles “yes brother”
After his grumble, he looks up and freezes. Oh, my gods, this creature has to be a goddess. “Oh brother, who may this gorgeous specimen be?” With his hand out Loki bows himself down and holds Y/N’s own hand into his. Kissing the back of her hand gracefully while it is in his grasp. “Brother this is Y/N she’s a friend from work” “Y/N, such a beautiful name for such a beauty”.
A blush explodes across Y/N’s face and she is at a loss for words. Never in her life has she had a gentleman like this before her. Thor chuckles seeing her look of astonishment and pats Loki on his back harder than what would be considered as comforting. “Brother I think I should leave you and Lady Y/N to yourselves now. Lady Y/N it's been a pleasure seeing you again” Thor leaves the two of you with a mischievous grin. He noticed the look on Loki’s face and on yours as well.
Now alone with Loki, Y/N takes a better look at the man. He’s dressed in a black suit and his hair is the same black. His hair is about shoulder length. Even if he wasn’t a god he looks like one. Loki takes in Y/N’s appearance as well. She is a beauty. She is a bit shorter than him but she stands tall and strong. Y/N notices the look of adoration in his eyes and she feels herself blush all over again. It’s been a while since either of them has felt this way.
Loki and Y/N have been seeing one another for almost a month and that month has been fantastic for the both of them. They’re taking their relationship slow and steady, neither wants to rush and ruin things honestly, both are still in shock they have one another in their lives. Y/N accepted Loki for all of his flaws and loved him regardless of his past plans on taking over New York and the Earth. (how sweet of her). And Loki knew that she just had a nasty break up and he was the one who suggested to take things slow and he showed her what’s it’s like to be treated as a princess, because to him she was more than that, she was his queen. Thor was over the moon for the couple. “My best friend and my brother, oh how wonderful” He was so excited that he had Tony plan a dinner party to have everyone celebrate together regardless of what the couple wanted.
Tonight is the night of the party and even though Y/N knew Thor’s heart was in the right place she was dreading this party. She expressed her concerns to Loki and he was understanding. “Love, I know this isn’t ideal, but you get to see the friends you haven’t seen since Barnes and you broke up and I’ll be there to make sure you aren’t alone with him tonight.” Y/N knew Loki was right. She did miss her friends she made thanks to Bucky and she knew that Loki wasn’t going to leave her side tonight so she agreed. Y/N got dressed in a long dark green evening gown and Loki was dressed in the suit he was wearing the night they meet. “Darling you look absolutely ravishing,” Loki said with eyes filled with love Y/N kissed him softly as a thank you before telling him the same thing.
Arriving at the tower Y/N is whisked away by Wanda and Natasha while Loki is distracted by his brother and Bruce. “So how have things been? Thor told us all about you and Loki and you two look so cute” Wanda gushed and this was followed by Natasha saying “I’ll be honest I was concerned at first knowing his history but some of the things Thor told us and seeing you two tonight just confirmed that you two are good for each other.” Hearing her friends say how good of a couple here and Loki were melted her heart. “Awe you guys!” They gather into a big group hug while Loki was busy ignoring Thor and watching you from across the room. “You really love Lady Y/N don’t you brother” Hearing the word love made Loki’s eyes widen. Neither of you has confessed to loving the other, it was too soon for those words, but it was clear to the people around you and to one another that you loved each other. You both looked at one another with love in your eyes, you made sure that Loki’s things were nice and neat and made sure he took breaks to eat and hydrate and Loki did the same for you. Loki made sure you got regular sleep and never worked too hard and the both of you have shown nothing but support to one another when things got rough.
“Yes brother, I do love her”
What Loki didn’t know was that Bucky was behind him and overheard the confession. LOVE? They can’t be in love with each other yet, it's only been a month if that. Bucky got noticeably grumpy and started to close off from the people around him. If he was being honest to himself he missed you. The night he broke things off was a decent night for him. He went and announced that the two of you were broken up and he went out with the girl he was talking to. At first, things were good, great even, but then he realized how much he missed you, how much he needed you in his life. There was one night that was his breaking point though. Bucky has always had nightmares but he had you to help him work through them. The girl in his bed wasn’t helpful, once she realized what was happening she just left said she couldn’t handle his baggage. This was the moment he realized he would never do as good as you and he needed you back.
Bucky went to Steve the next day to talk about how he can get you back but that was the day Thor came and announced that his brother was in a relationship with his best friend. With you. Bucky didn’t want to believe it, he thought maybe it was a fling, a way for you to get over the breakup but now here he is listening to Loki talk about how amazing you were and how much he loves you. Bucky already knew how amazing you were he just realized it too late. Bucky decided it was time for him to go this wasn’t for him it was for the happy couple. As Bucky leaves he watches you walk over to Loki and throw your arms around his neck just like you use to do to him. The smile that graced your face from just being in Loki’s presence was bigger than it ever was when you saw him. She’s happier with him and that’s all that matters. With that thought, Bucky left without a trace.
I hope you enjoyed, I’ve been enjoying writing more angst lately so please leave any ideas and I’ll write them as soon as I can! if you did like it please consider reblogging, liking, and commenting <3

Guys... I took the drinking song - and turned it into a lullaby. 🥺 Although, I changed it up a bit, meaning I only used the Norwegian (ahem, I me Asgardian) lyrics. 😊 Okay, enough talking! I present to you: 'Very Full' by Tom Hiddleston as a lullaby, wrapped up in a small 'songfic' drabble...
Tumblr media
Lullaby
"Ella, please..." Loki was on the edge of despair. Ella had been crying for hours. She was utterly restless this evening; literally refusing to sleep.
Now, she was in her father's arms, who rocked her gently. "Are you missing your mama, huh? Is that the matter?" Y/N was on a small 'mission' since this morning; said she needed to see something different than just the Avengers compound. She wanted to just do something now, almost six months after the birth and Loki let her, of course - but not before checking in on his wife for a trillion times, making sure she was feeling up to do this. Loki also wouldn't have let her go, if this 'mission' had been somehow, someway dangerous, but it luckily wasn't. Meeting up with Nick Fury and some other S.H.I.E.L.D members shouldn't be a dangerous thing, right?
Ella just continued to whine; her small lips forming into a big pout. Loki had tried everything. Feeding her, cuddling her, changing her nappy - but nothing helped. "It is because of mama, isn't it?" An even louder cry left the baby girl's mouth. Loki sighed and sat down in the rocking chair, still cradling her against his bare chest. Since Ella was born, he found himself running around a lot more shirtless than ever before in his life...
His further attempts to calm her down failed as well - and the upcoming thunderstorm didn't help as well. With the first roll of thunder, followed by the loud sound of rain drumming against the windows, Ella was back on full-time crying. "Shhh, Princess. That's just your oaf of an uncle..." Loki turned his head to look outside the window. "And he's not helping." He growled quietly. What else could he do to calm Ella down? Loki thought feverishly, but couldn't think of something, so he called Y/N. "Lokes? I'm sorry, I don't have much time. What's the matter? Is something wrong with Ella?!" "Apologies, darling. I didn't mean to disturb you, but Ella just won't calm down. She's been restless for hours. I did everything possible, but nothing helped. I think she's missing you. I don't know what else I can do." "Aww... I miss my baby girl, too." Y/N cooed on the other end of the line. "Have you tried, uhh, I don't know... Uhm... To sing her a lullaby? Perhaps this works?" Loki blinked. "A... A lullaby? Singing?" "Yes, babe, singing." Some voices could be heard in the background. "I have to go now, I'm sorry. Give Ella a big kiss from me, yes? Love you!" With that Y/N hung up. A lullaby? Singing? The God sighed again and looked down at his daughter, whose face was red from all the crying, tears still streaming down her face. Well... What other choice did he have? It was worth a try... So, he thought; tried to remember the lullabies his mother sang to him as a child. "Shall daddy sing a lullaby for you? Would you like that, sweet girl?" Ella let out a small whine in response. Loki could only think of one song. Better than none, he thought. What could go possibly wrong? "Let's try this." He stood up again and walked around, gently rocking Ella. "Men trærne de danser og fossene stanser. Når hun synger, hun synger 'kom hjem'." Loki started quietly. It was more speaking than singing at first; uncertain if Ella would like it or not. "Men trærne de danser og fossene stanser. Når hun synger, hun synger 'kom hjem'." But then he witnessed, how Ella fixated her gaze on him, big blue, teary eyes staring at him. "I stormsvarte fjell, jeg vandrer alene, over isbreer tar jeg meg frem." With every word Loki sang, Ella got quieter and quieter, the tears stopping to fall. When he realised, that this was actually working, he smiled at her and continued. "I eplehagen står møyen den vene og synger, 'Når kommer du hjem?'." At this point, Ella had calmed down completely. She was still looking at her father; her tiny fingers stuffed in her mouth. "Men trærne de danser og fossene stanser. Når hun synger, hun synger 'kom hjem'." The tears were drying on her reddened cheeks; her eyelids growing weaker and weaker with evey passing second. "Men trærne de danser og fossene stanser. Når hun synger, hun synger 'kom hjem'." Loki ended the lullaby with a soft hum. With a big smile, he noticed that Ella was fast asleep; cuddled against him, drooling on his chest. He placed a soft kiss on the top of her head, then tiptoed towards the crib, which stood in the middle of the room and laid her down as gently as possible, hoping to not wake her up again. He didn't. Ella slept on peacefully. Before Loki left the room, he turned on the night lights and snapped a picture of her. Then he plopped down on the sofa and sent Y/N the picture he had just taken. 'It worked immediately, darling. Guess I have to sing to her more often from now on...'

The Skin We’re In: A Jotunn!Loki/Reader Fairy Tale
You grew up slowly falling in love with your best friend, the God of Mischief, but after the death of your mother drives your father insane, Thor whisks you to a place he knows will be safe until Loki can defeat your father: but you’ll have to render yourself undetectable (i.e. ugly) in order to slip through your father’s fingers.
I got an Anon prompt asking me to rewrite a fairy tale around Loki. They suggested Cinderella, but I’m extra, so I based this on the fairy tale Donkeyskin, a story that goes so dark even Disney won’t touch it. In this AU, Loki was always informed of his true heritage as Little Blue Baby Icicle.
Content Warning: Family death, implied incestuous sexual abuse, physical insecurities, self-harm ideation Word Count: 7.3k (sorry, it’s long, it may be easier to read on my AO3 HERE)
Tumblr media
Once upon a time, in a world far away from the one we know, you fell in love with a handsome prince.
“Loki! Show me! Show me!” you begged from your place sitting on his desk chair, your feet scuffing against the carpet impatiently.
The youthful second son of Odin smiled sheepishly. ‘Sheepish’ wasn’t an attitude your best friend had very often. He was newly grown, as were you. The pair of you had grown up alongside one another, as your father was one of Odin’s advisors.  As children you played innocently as Asgardian children did: from the fun days spent chucking spears at one another in jest, to the fun days spent chucking spears at your tutors when they scolded you, to the fun days spent chucking spears at the spear makers, who kept forgetting to change the lock to the door of their workshop.
You got pretty good with spears as time went on.
Now, on the eve of your majority, you and Loki were finally beginning to accept that things were changing between you. Childhood giggles turned into bashful flirts. Practical jokes became stolen kisses. The way you got out of breath after winning a footrace against him became the thumping of your heart after Loki touched your cheek and looked into your eyes.
When you’d first made love, you felt like you could fly. The way you both gave yourselves to one another, exploring each other’s’ bodies deep into the night, letting Loki lose control as he went inside you under a canopy of stars and planets on a cool evening. It was the type of memory that you immediately tattooed onto your heart, and retrieving it always made you feel serene and peaceful.
While the concept of ‘virginity’ held little meaning to an Asgardian, it still meant something to the both of you when you allowed one another to be your first partners. The next morning, Loki declared that not only were you his first sexual experience, but you would be his only partner for life, as he could never imagine sex being better or more meaningful with anyone else, even with Freyja herself.
Once you had your next birthday, Loki could formally ‘come for you’ and ask you to be his bride. You would leave your father’s house and be one of Queen Frigga’s Ladies in Waiting until the wedding. Almost everyone, including Frigga, Odin, and Thor, were expecting the announcement from Loki any day.
“You know how I feel about showing anyone, even you,” Loki sighed to himself, turning away from you and facing the mirror. “I’m not even supposed to tell anyone about it, especially since the last time the Frost Giants attacked our northern border.”
“But Loki,” you whined playfully, hopping off your chair and sauntering over, standing behind your love. “You’re beautiful when you show me. I love you no matter what skin you’ve got, no matter what color. You are still my Loki, my Love, my God.”
Loki looked at your reflection in the mirror. Norns, you were a beauty! Every graceful curve of your body made him shudder with need inside. Your wide eyes were the only ones that could penetrate his thoughts and make him drop his defenses. You were the only being Loki would fall on his knees for. If the future Princess of Asgard thought his Jotunn skin was beautiful and wanted to see it, how could he deny you anything?
Stepping back, Loki let the ice blue hue crawl up his palm, taking over his entire body and turning him into his pure, half-giant form. You gasped in awe and surprise, tracing a finger up his arm admiringly. “If you ever became King, you could look like this all the time and no one could stop you, you know.”
“My brother and father would have to die for me to become King,” Loki said quietly. “I cannot bring myself to lay a hand on the two men who were willing to let me live in their family with my Jotunn blood. So, I will need to find another way of getting my freedom.” He turned to you and took you in his arms. “But once we marry, I can turn into this for you every night in our bed if that is your wish.”
Just hearing him affirm his intentions gave you pleasure within. “I love you. All of you. No matter how you appear, as long as Fate keeps us together, there is no way I could ever find you anything other than beautiful.”
Loki gently cupped your cheek in his hands and leaned in for an intimate kiss, when suddenly a guard burst into the study.
“Oh, what is it??” Loki asked angrily.
“You Highness, it’s Lady Y/N’s mother. She’s died.”
---
Your mother, whom you almost impeccably resembled in appearance, had collapsed suddenly and passed away from illness. It was a shock to you and your father. Weeks and months passed, as did the birthday where your engagement was to be formally announced, without anything but tears, sorrow, and suffering for you.
The last time you saw Loki was at the funeral rites, where you weren’t even allowed to be near him, as your father, Friede, forbade you from leaving his side in the receiving lines and death processions. You only saw him briefly as the royals came through to offer condolences. Thor had embraced you. Loki could barely get a word out before Friede forced your attention elsewhere.
The entirety of the funeral, you just wanted to run away with your beloved, and get away forever from the remarks you’d been receiving all day:
“Her soul lives on in you.” “You are a perfect resemblance.” “Its as if she created you in her image, Y/N!”
After about a week was the first time your father came to you with a strange look in his eye. He had barely spoken to you, nor had he ever allowed you to leave the house, since your mother’s death. He hadn’t done anything except glare at you for an abnormally long time in your dressing robe before clearing out and leaving you be. You felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention.
The following day, you found lilies in your doorway. Loki didn’t like lilies, so they weren’t from him. Something about the way the petals felt hot on your skin made you immediately throw them away.
You kept longing for Loki to contact you, but after a month crept by, you began to feel like he would never come for you, even as your father kept you sequestered in your manor, closer to him than you were comfortable.
Then, he began the strange requests. “Sit on my lap, Y/N! Father knows what’s best for you! Let me run my fingers through your hair, you look so much like your mother!”
Months in the dark became hell, alone and afraid of what your deluded father may do next. He’d dismissed your attendants, so no one knew what he was beginning to do. You had no way of escaping, either. Every day you feared that he would finally crawl over the edge and molest you, or even worse. Your natural beauty had suddenly become your biggest detriment. You couldn’t escape your father’s wandering eye no matter where you went in the house. He sealed every door with magic that only he could unlock. Every window had an alarm trigger on it that would immediately shut the gates to your family estate. Worst of all, you feared what Friede would do to you if he caught you trying to leave.
The first night you saw his shadow standing over your bed, you managed to get away by locking yourself in your bathroom until he gave in. You knew then that you needed some serious help. But how? Where could you go? How long could you hold out until you couldn’t fight off your mad father any more?
You felt your life quickly drain away from you as the first few months passed. Each night, you barricaded your door against your father, avoided meals, and sat alone in your room, passing the time with books or painting. You only wanted to go outside, to see friends. To kiss your Loki, then slap him for never coming to rescue you.
You missed his soft, warm lips leaving traces down your neck, the feeling when his front teeth nipped at your skin. You wanted to once again see the blessed vision of Loki leaning over you, looking down into your eyes with thick, heavy lust. Even just for the momentary pleasure of hearing his low, authoritative voice mumble sweet poems in your ear, you would surrender anything.
Six months without Loki, and you felt your heart finally turn to stone. All hope was drained from you. You’d likely die up here in your tower, constantly hoping Friede would wake up one morning cured of his incestuous delusions. You could have cast away your memories in the hopes that forgetting them would free you from at least a bit of emotional burden.
No, you thought in the end. My memories are all I have now. I won’t throw him away, even if he did so to me.
One morning, what you couldn’t possibly conceive of happened.
You heard Friede knocking on your door one morning. Taking a meat knife from last night’s supper plate, you slid it under the sleeve of your tunic ready to draw blood if it meant keeping your father from assaulting you in his maddened state.
Opening the door, you saw Friede down on one knee, holding up your mother’s emerald engagement ring. You’d thought she’d been buried with it.
“My darling—”
You screamed and shut the door in his face almost immediately. After a loud groan from outside, you began hearing pounding fists and desperate hollers.
“Why? Why won’t you consider marrying me?”
“I’m your DAUGHTER, you pig!” you cried back, quick to shove your dresser in front of the door as you’d done every single night.
“You are your mother’s angel! It makes sense. We are supposed to be together forever, and we can be!”
“Leave me alone!”
“What can I do? Can I do anything to make you accept my proposal? I will do anything, my eternal love!”
You felt the total dirt of your parent calling you ‘his eternal love’ creep up through your veins, gelling your blood and making you turn cold. You considered ending your life in that moment for the first time. This was too much for you to bear, and without Loki, what was the point?
Still, you thought a moment before answering. Perhaps there was still a way to pit your wits against him. Maybe you could delay your father’s disgusting intentions.
“There is one thing,” You began softly, trying to ignore the taste of bitterness in your mouth as you answered him.
“ANYTHING!” Friede sounded like a desperate, ravenous wolf.
“Make me a wedding dress out of the threads from Arachne’s web. It must glow brighter than Odin’s crown, and every inch must be covered in red gems found in the heart of an asteroid. I will not consider you until I have it.”
There, that was a damn tall order for him. He had to go to Olympus, steal threads from the Goddess Arachne’s work, then find a magician who could enchant such a pristine glow into the fabric, and finally, find an asteroid somewhere in the cosmos that possessed thousands of red gems in its’ core. There was no way he could ever meet those expectations!
But, as you’d hoped, he left the manor straight away, unfortunately leaving the windows and doors magically sealed so you couldn’t slip out while he was gone. You could, however, freely move about the manor for the first time in a very long while without feeling fear. Your mood only picked up a little bit as you re-explored your childhood home. You were able to read in the study (dusty from lack of use), eat in the dining hall (also dusty and unkempt), and you were even able to look out over the quarter of Asgard your family resided in through the large window in the attic.
You considered attempting to break the seals on the doors, but you were also like you mother in that you possessed very little capacity for magic. Some people just didn’t have it in their blood, and you never felt resentment (at least before now). Nor did you see a way to even signal someone for help.
At least you were certain you had time to figure out a plan. Maybe you could send smoke signals out of the fire place? Except you had no wood to burn. What about hanging a banner out of a window? Damn all, the windows were just as sealed as the doors.
Would you die in here? With Friede gone, there was no one to bring food.
Four days after Friede went off on his quest for your wedding gown, everything changed.
You were called to the window one wild and stormy evening to a familiar yell from below your room in the front courtyard. “LADY Y/N!! MY SISTER?! CAN YOU HERE ME? ARE YOU THERE?? ARE YOU ALIVE??”
It wasn’t your beloved, but it was his brother, Prince Thor, heir apparent to the throne.
“I CAN HEAR AND SEE YOU!” you replied, your heart racing. “BUT MY FATHER’S SEIDR HAD SEALED ME INSIDE! I’M TRAPPED!”
Thor nodded and raised his right arm, Mjolnir poised above his head. In one mighty motion, he hurled it at a bay window on the ground floor. Your heart leapt at the sound of crashing glass and breaking metal. The Hammer of Thor was still undefeated.
Taking off like a shot, you sprinted to meet Thor down in the foyer, where he embraced you so tightly you screeched at him to loosen his grip before he broke you in half.
“How did you find me?” you cried into his shoulder. “And where is Loki? Why hasn’t he come for me?”
“We thought you were dead, my sister,” Thor replied. You pulled away from him and asked why. “Friede told the court that the week of your mother’s passing, you died from heartbreak. Loki was inconsolable. He destroyed his room and disappeared for weeks at a time. It was like watching his soul fly away.”
You immediately felt six months of isolation and depression well up behind your eyes like lava, until the hot tears finally blinked out. “But, you never came to see for yourself, nor ask why there was no funeral for me?”
Thor explained. “He told us he preferred a private interment. We saw how upset he was and granted his wish. But then, he came to us again about four days ago, declaring that you, in fact, were alive, and had agreed to…to marry him? Please tell me THAT isn’t so.”
You shook your head immediately. “Never!”
“He said he had a quest to complete for your hand, but he wanted Odin’s blessing.”
“And did he get it?”
“Of course not!” Thor scoffed. “Odin was almost certain he was being tricked, but Friede wasn’t stopped. He declared that no God or man could stop him from wedding you. He went off to Olympus after that.”
“And does Loki know any of this?” you asked.
Thor nodded. “For years, I’ve known Loki was never able to lift Mjolnir…but if ever there was a time he was worthy, it was in the moments after Friede declared his betrothal. He raged like I’ve never seen a warrior do, and he took off almost instantly to the armory. It’s quite obvious he intends to track down your father. I couldn’t stop him.”
“He’ll be hurt!”
“You already have been,” Thor added. “But he did leave me with one command before he went off into the Nine Realms.”
“And that is?”
Thor took something out of his pocket. It was an amulet, but not a very attractive one. A large token hung on the dull, silver chain: a donkey head. “He had this hexed and gave it to me, saying it will protect you from Friede. Then, he told me to take you somewhere outside of Asgard. Somewhere off-world. Somewhere beyond the Bifrost.”
You bit your lip. “How far?”
“Very,” Thor confirmed. “Friede is one of Odin’s fiercest generals. He can track a falcon on a cloudy day. If he wants to find you anywhere in the Universe, he will. In order to hide you, you will need to not only always wear this pendant, but you will need to stay with a few…friends of mine.”
“What friends?” you asked, raising an eyebrow at Thor’s odd tone.
“I’ve been to Midgard. It was a dare gone wrong, don’t ask. But I met a few people down there who can ensure your safety until Loki can come for you.”
You scoffed. “Midgard? How can they possibly protect me down there? Do they even have magic?”
Thor shrugged. “A different kind of magic. They call themselves researchers. Their names are Jane, Erik, and Darcy.”
You nodded. Even some heathen’s tent on Midgard was preferable than waiting here in the dark until your insane father decided to return. “Give me the amulet,” you commanded, holding out your hand. “I want to leave as fast as possible.”
Thor hesitated a moment. “There is one more thing you need to know about the amulet.”
You rolled your eyes and went to grab it from him, succeeding. You quickly put the necklace on, and instantly you felt a slightly-painful tinge circulate throughout your body. Thor became a bit taller to you, and you felt your shiny hair begin to tangle and grow over your face. Dark green sparks flew up in front of you as your robes grew bigger and bigger until they could barely stay up around your emaciated frame.
Once the magic receded, you looked to Thor, and noticed he looked rather uncomfortable. “What was that?” you asked quietly.
“Well, err…you have a mirror nearby?”
You nodded and walked brisky down the hallway to your left, knowing of the giant mirror in the hall outside the kitchen. You found it and nearly screamed at what stood before you.
You were HIDEOUS. A BEAST, you were disgusting and riddled with pustules, pimples, and rashes across your skin and face. Your nose had almost entirely receded, your eyebrows were thick enough to spin into yarn, your eyes misaligned, one eye electric green and the other ocean blue, your hair unkempt and greyish blue. Your body was so frail it could be blown over with a quiet breeze. Your teeth were so yellow they were nearly brown, several crooked and several more cracked or cavity-laden. You even had little brown hairs sprouting about your chin, ears, and hands.
“What the HELL have you done to me, Thor?!” you yelled. “What does this--?”
You ripped off the pendant, and your ugly exterior instantly fell away, causing you to sigh with relief.
“It’s a disguise. You HAVE to wear it at all times on Midgard. It’s the only way Friede won’t be able to locate you. He would never assume this was you,” Thor explained. “Please? I wish to see my brother’s wedding day.”
“But, but…”
Thor sighed and looked around you. “I guess you could stay here and hope--?”
You didn’t want that. Any more time in this luxurious prison and you would go insane as your father had. You turned to look at your normal self in the mirror, getting one last good at yourself before putting on the amulet again. You imagined Loki walking up behind you in the reflection, his nimble fingers running over your bare shoulders, his nose nestling at your ear affectionately.
“Find me, my love,” you prayed before looking over your shoulder, the specter of your lover dissipating into the air with your movement.
“Thor?” you asked quietly.
Thor had gone over to the front door back in the foyer, using Mjolnir to destroy it, exposing the entryway to the roaring rain and wind outside. “Yes, sister?”
You turned the donkey’s head over three times in your palm. Even touching the damn thing made your skin lose its glow. “Will he be able to find me? Even when I’m wearing this?”
Thor walked back in your direction, meeting you in the foyer. “My friend, you and my brother could find one another from across time and space. The two of you were naming your children before you went off to school. Loki will know who you are in an instant. Now, we need to hurry. I have Heimdall waiting.”
Thor went back to the door, and you took one last breath before donning the loathed amulet, letting the green mist set you back into your horrendous new skin. Then, you took a cloak from the closet nearby and followed Thor out into the turbulent night.
-----------
Fourteen months later…
Tired, hungry, desperate, and more ambitious than ever, Loki maneuvered his small Asgardian craft on the asteroid’s surface, behind a boulder big enough to conceal the ship within its’ shadow. Before getting out and beginning to look for signs of other travelers on the surface, Loki looked down at the parchment Thor had given him before he went off to execute that perverted worm who dared to even consider holding you as a captive bride of incest. The parchment only had a few scribbles on it:
Midgard. Puente Antiguo, New Mexico. Be discreet.
This was where you awaited him, and he knew he was nearly there after so long. He just had to finish slaying this dragon for you first.
Over a year, Loki had been traversing the Nine Realms, looking for anything that could have drawn him closer to Friede. Friede had somehow managed to steal Arachne’s threads with little trouble, and he was gone by the time Loki arrived. Escaping Olympus had been rough, especially when he had been blamed for the missing thread and was made to sneak his way off the world.
Having lost the trail, Loki kept searching. He had no idea where to look for one who could make a dress glow brighter than Odin’s crown, so instead, Loki chose to begin searching for the elusive Ruby Asteroid, the only space rock in the Nine Realms that was known to harbor red gems in its’ core. No matter how quickly or slowly Friede could render the dress aglow, it would still take him time to find the Ruby Asteroid, and Loki was infinitely cleverer than his possible father-in-law. Loki knew if he took a shortcut and headed for the space rock, he could cut his adversary off and end him before a single ruby could fall into his hand.
Even an asteroid feels like a planet to anyone on its’ surface. Loki scoured it for weeks, searching every cavern and crevice, every possible place one could make their way down into the underground. Nothing showed, even as time passed and Loki was forced to set up a camp and find an off-asteroid food supply. Perhaps it would take years for that bloated biscuit to find this place?
Every time Loki was spent and went back to his ship to sleep for a few hours, he found himself staring up through the roof to the black skies above, filled with stars, planets, and galaxies. He had hoped he would be touching the furthest points of the universe with you on your honeymoon. While it was usually difficult to find fitful rest on this freezing rock, Loki always managed to find sleep looking up at the cosmos dangling above, choosing which star you two would explore first.
He always picked the one that looked farthest away.
Every time he thought of you, he began to do something he hadn’t before. He’d started reverting to his Frost Giant skin and allowing himself to live within it for long periods of time. In those long months alone and searching, he’d remembered how you loved his blue skin and red eyes, and whenever you could convince him to do so, begged him to ‘turn blue.’ When he did this, he felt his emotions and longing for you rising, and when he was in Jotunn form was when he felt closest to you.
Even though he’d known since childhood that he was an adopted half-Frost Giant, Odin had always discouraged Loki from showing his heritage off in front of others. While he was grateful the truth was not kept from him entirely, it, of course, made him feel shame as he grew. The only times he could show his true skin were when he was alone, or with you. After this, if he ever found his way to your side again, he made a vow to himself to wear his true skin more. If you could see his true beauty, surely others could as well. He would be fully free.
The more time he spent in solitude, awaiting Friede, the more he spent wearing his natural blue skin, and the more he grew to long for the day he could show his true colors in the light, in front of all of Asgard.
Now, he was using his craft to migrate to another region on the asteroid, looking for anything that indicated disturbance. Every other time he did this, not so much as a shifted pebble was to be seen, and Loki would give up and touch down once again.
However, something felt different this time. Loki felt on edge, especially has something caught his eye from off to the right side of his path:
Another ship, an older Asgardian model a noble or military superior would use for themselves.
“Norns, this is it.”
Loki quietly parked his craft and looked around for wherever Friede could have gone. In the darkness, this was especially difficult, but Loki could use a little magic to increase his vision a bit, which helped. After what felt like days, Loki finally found a crevice just large enough for a body to slip within, and once Loki made his way inside, the boulder was revealed to be hollow, with a large cave making its way lower into the ground towards what appeared to be a red glow.
However, Loki didn’t have time to make it to the source of the glow, because Friede began making his way back up through the passage, holding a large lavender wedding gown that looked like it was made from the lightest material possible. It glowed brightly enough to completely illuminate the passage. It had thousands of red gems already sewn into it, creating trim and a bodice for the dress, lining the collar and hems and creating intricate fleur-de-lys patterns. It was the most magnificent gown any being ever laid eyes on.
I’m almost too late, Loki thought. Standing tall and imposing, Loki blocked Friede’s way, forcing him to stop.
“Who are you?” Friede muttered from behind the piles of tulle and silk.
“How dare you address your Prince so informally?” Loki barked. “You will kneel before royalty, insolent wretch!”
“Prince Loki, your highness! What brings you to this little rock? I was picking up a gift for my bride to be—”
“—you will surrender the dress to me, leave this place at once, and never contact your daughter again,” Loki commanded.
Friede responded with a slow, rolling laugh that gradually got louder and more unhinged. “Oh, my Prince, you don’t understand!”
Loki advanced on Friede with royal authority. “How dare you desecrate your name? How dare you strive for such an abomination? How dare you lay a finger on my beloved? How dare you LIE to me and make me believe that she was dead for six months?? She will be Princess of Asgard, and you are heretofore banished from the Nine Realms until your dying breath.”
“Oh, no, no, no, I won’t leave Asgard without my wife,” Friede mumbled, standing his ground but beginning to nervously ball the dress up in his large hands. “How can you be so against true love?”
Loki growled like a wolf, ready to defend the pack. “Your demented, twisted version of love extracts no sympathy from me. Now, unhand that damned dress or you will be under a death sentence by order of your Prince.”
Friede laughed again. “Spare me the theatrics, you cerulean freak! My daughter doesn’t deserve to be yoked to a disgusting half-breed no matter what kind of royalty he is!”
With those painful words, Friede began spinning the dress around in his hands, forcing the light glow to intensify to the point where Loki was blinded by it. The red light receded after a moment, but only before Loki could realize that Friede had moved past him and made his way to the exit.
As Loki’s sight returned, he could see Friede pause to pick something up off the ground. A slip of paper.
Friede chuckled. “Midgard, huh? Not exactly a small hiding place, but someone with Y/N’s looks won’t be too difficult to find! Thanks for the tip, your highness!”
Loki gave chase, but Friede was too swift. Loki barely made it out of the cavern in time to see his small shuttle take off and fly quickly into the black sky.
----
It was way too hot in New Mexico. You absolutely couldn’t take it anymore. At this point, you were pretty sure you were going to melt into the dirt before your beloved could locate you.
Jane and Erik were nice enough (Darcy asked you too many questions about exactly how attractive Asgardian men were), and they were able to spare you a small room in their office, but you rarely left it. You couldn’t take the heat, and you couldn’t take the prying eyes the few times you were coerced by Jane into going to the local diner (where you were now).
Thor only stayed briefly to explain things to Jane before going off to find his brother. He’d promised to check in from time to time, but in the fourteen months since he’d delivered you to your hiding place, he hadn’t shown himself. You knew when Jane asked you to go to a ‘girls’ night’ with her, she was going to ask you about Thor and Asgard. At first, you’d obliged her, but as time wore on, you were beginning to believe that you were standing in the town you would be buried in.
“So, how different is time out there?” Jane asked.
You shrugged. “How am I supposed to know that? It’s my home, it’s just how time works for me. All I know is that here, it feels like a standstill, but that isn’t because of time.”
“I know how that feels,” Jane moaned.
An older woman in a waitress’ uniform came out with two bowls of soup, setting one bowl down in front of each of you. You noticed her avoiding your eyes in a way she hadn’t with Jane.
You had worn the donkey’s head amulet for fourteen months without removing it for so much as a bath, and you were beginning to feel bonded to it in a way that distressed you. The hex was attaching itself to your body now, and soon enough, if you didn’t take it off, you felt as if you were going to be stuck that way for all time. You were well aware of how hideous you were. You had to keep reminding yourself it was all for your safety, and that Loki could come any day.
But what if he never came?
“Excuse you, but that was rude,” Jane said, firmly but calmly. “She’s a person. Treat her like one, please.”
The waitress looked directly at you now and shrugged sheepishly. “Sorry, Miss.”
After she walked away, you leaned over the table and whispered. “You don’t have to defend me, you know. It’s been more than a year. I’ve gotten worse looks from clergy.”
Jane shook her head. “I’m sorry, but I’m sick of seeing it too.  People can be terrible.”
“My father is scouring the galaxy to try and force me into marrying him. I assure you, Asgardians are no better.” You looked out the window into the dry, dusty street as a green car drove by, kicking up dirt and making it difficult to see the general store on the other side of the road.
“Y/N,” Jane said, “I can’t imagine how this has been for you. I’m not even waiting for a wedding like you are.”
“More than anything, my biggest fear is what Loki will think if I cannot get this stupid pendant off.”
Jane nodded and started eating her soup. You weren’t hungry. Instead, your gaze fell out the window again, as if he would pop up at any moment.
“If he’s like his brother, he will just be relieved you’re safe and not married to your dad,” answered Jane.
Suddenly, Darcy and Erik bolted in to the diner and made a beeline for your table. Darcy, who couldn’t shut up on a normal day, spilled everything.
“You both need to come with us now. We were working in the lab and then outside some small space craft landed, and some guy in weird robes got out of it with the puffiest, most obnoxious dress I’ve ever seen in my life. Like, who would even wear that? Anyway, someone’s here so we figured we’d get you and—”
“—oh, Norns, it’s Father,” you muttered, ducking under the table. “How did he complete the gown? I made it utterly impossible!”
Jane bent down and tapped your shoulder. “You know what you need to do.”
“I can’t face him,” you said, beginning to cry. “Loki was supposed to find him first. If he hasn’t, then that means Loki must be dead and my father killed him.”
“Maybe his space ship just popped a tire,” Darcy mused.
“You realize this may be the only way he leaves you be,” Erik said. “And he may be the type to hurt people who stand in his way of you.”
“I know,” you sighed. “But he’ll go back to Asgard and tell everyone how I became some hideous mortal and was exiled forever to a desert on Midgard.”
Jane smiled. “You have us now. And there’s still Thor. He can vouch.”
You were silent a moment. Loki was gone. He had to be. You were on the verge of becoming permanently ugly. What more was there to lose? In fact, facing Friede one final time, in a way, would free you, even if it was freeing you from the wonderful life you once knew in favor of a simpler, lonelier one.
“Well, here I go. This is for Loki.”
You crawled out from under the table, and ignored the rude waitress’ scolding for not paying the bill as Jane, Darcy, and Erik followed you out into the street and around the corner.
Sure enough, Friede’s personal ship was parked in the middle of the road, with some mortals running and hiding, and others curiously peeking out at the scene. Friede, for his part, was zig-zagging around, looking in shop windows and crying out for you like a madman with no direction.
“Y/N! Come out come out! I have your wedding gown! I know for a fact you’re here. Please come out and come home with Daddy. If you don’t, I’ll dismantle this entire place board by board until I—”
“—here I am, Father,” you yelled, walking with as much confidence as you could muster.
Friede spent nearly a minute in silence, observing you from the distance of about 50 feet between you. He laughed. “It can’t be. My daughter isn’t a troll.”
The words stung, but only a little. “It is me, Father. I can prove it. My mother was Idunn, and I looked like her. She died over a year ago. You were close with the Allfather since your youth, and Odin’s favorite food were the fruit biscuits Idunn would make for you to take to him, although he’d never admit his weakness for a sweet. You once compared him to a child in an ancient druid’s body.”
Friede’s jaw dropped. “No. Y/N, my girl, what have you done?”
“I am not your daughter,” you said defiantly. “I said I would never marry you. I decided to buy a spell that would permanently change me into this hag,” you indicated your appearance. “I would rather live like this forever in shame than to take part in your abomination of a wedding.”
“But, I made this for you, just as you asked!” Friede hollered, throwing the large gown into the dust at his feet before slowly beginning to advance on you.
“Leave her alone, you bastard.”
Your heart may as well have jumped out of your throat and run off into the horizon by itself. The voice. The beautiful, strong, deep voice of your beloved was calling from behind you.
Instead of turning to embrace Loki, you didn’t even bother looking in his direction as he approached the confrontation, instead running off the street and ducking behind a shelf of books displayed outside the tiny library the town had.
Loki faced Friede, proud, strong, and ready to kill. “I am giving you one final chance. Abandon your disgusting suit and leave Midgard, Asgard, and the Nine Realms. Go live on the Ruby Asteroid for all I care. If you dare to show your face to myself, my betrothed, or any of my allies again, you WILL face the executioner’s axe. Do you understand this?”
Friede looked to the case you were hiding behind, and how you trembled in fear. He looked back to Loki, the powerful Trickster Prince who was known for his superior (as well as unique) fighting style.
“You shouldn’t want Y/N any more anyways,” Loki concluded. “She’s no longer the living spectre of your wife, is she not?”
Friede grunted and looked down at the dress lying before him on the ground. He considered his options for a moment before spitting onto the wedding gown. “Hel take you all,” he muttered. “Especially you, Prince Loki. Enjoy life screwing a hag. You and my disobedient wretch of a child deserve one another.”
You couldn’t quite see what was happening from behind the book case, but after a moment, you heard the sound of a craft take off into the sky and fly away, followed by bootsteps running towards you. You instantly reached for the donkey amulet and ripped it from your neck. However, in the library window’s reflection, you saw something that made your heart sink.
You hadn’t changed at all. You were still a hag.
Loki finally reached the bookcase. You curled up into a ball, concealing as much of yourself by making yourself as small as possible. “Oh, my darling, my beloved,” he whispered softly, reaching out a hand. “You can take the hex off now. You are safe with me again.”
You shook your body and slowly extended your hand, opening your palm and showing him that you were no longer wearing the amulet.
“The hex bound itself to me,” you cried. “I’m a beast now, forever.”
“Oh, no, no, no, Y/N,” Loki insisted. “I don’t care if you look like a dark elf with a skin infection. I love you, and you are beautiful.”
“I am NOT worthy of being your princess, so just go,” you wept.
Loki stifled a laugh. “I just saw you face your father and tell him to fuck off. It was, admittedly, very hot.”
You peeked out from behind your hands. “Really?”
“Please,” Loki implored. “Come into the light with me.”
You looked up and saw for the first time that Loki was wearing his natural Jotunn skin. He was smiling encouragingly down at you, hand still extended.
You gasped. “Loki, you never look like that in public!”
“I’ve learned a bit about myself too along this strange trip,” Loki replied. “I feel freer when I can be my full self. I may never go back, unless, that is, you wish for me too.”
“Dearest, how can you look at me and still—”
Loki had had enough. He took you hand and yanked you to your feet and into the sunny street before you could stop him. He took you into his arms and kissed you so fully that you felt as if he wanted to drink your essence.
“I absolutely want to still be your wife,” you said quietly, burying your face in Loki’s chest. “But I can never face Asgardian society like this. Not ever.”
Loki sighed and looked beyond you to wear the wedding gown still lay in the dust. He got an idea and let go of you momentarily to retrieve it and bring it back to you.
“Maybe this can help,” he suggested.
You shook your head. “The incest dress? How?”
“Well, technically it’s what YOU wanted in a dress. Your maddened former father simply delivered it to you.”
“But how can it help?” you asked.
“Did you not ask for it to me made out of cloth spun from Arachne’s web?” Loki reminded you. You nodded. “Doesn’t her material come with magic-catching ability? It’s why our armor carries some of her threads, to protect warriors from hexes and curses. Like trapping flies in a spider’s web, her cloth does the same for dark magic.”
“Oh Norns, you are right,” you realized. You greedily grabbed the dress and ducked back behind the bookcase to put it on.
It was heavier than you realized, but it fit like a glove and gave you a small, magic burst of confidence. When you cautiously revealed yourself in the dress, the look on Loki’s face made you tremble.
He looked ready to fall at your feet and serve you everything you ever wanted on a silver platter.
“My bride, you look incredible.”
You lifted your arms and slowly began to spin, your wide skirt billowing out, red sparks of magic flying out from the stones embedded in the bodice. You felt that cool sensation you recalled from the night Thor rescued you, when you first removed the amulet and fell back into your Asgardian beauty.
You stopped spinning and looked at Loki, Jane, Erik, and Darcy, who were all now staring at you, making you feel a little vulnerable.
You turned back to the window to observe what had changed, and your heart sank again.
Your body had returned to its’ normal, curvier shape. Your unnatural pallor melted back into your natural skin tone. The bags under your eyes had disappeared, but those eyes were still oddly bright and differently colored. Your nose had returned, but it was still a small nub of what had once been one of your favorite features. Your hair was longer and fuller, but still the dull color you’d gotten used to seeing of late. You had a bright, dark red scar remain on your face, running from your left eye, down the side of your neck.
“It only worked a little!” you cried, frustrated. “I’m still not beautiful!”
Loki ran up behind you and wrapped his arms over your shoulders, nuzzling his nose under your ear.
“But aren’t you the one that said to me that your skin doesn’t define your beauty? You are still my Y/N, my wife, my love, my God. Freyja still could not compare.” Loki spun you around and delicately traced the scar on your face with a loving touch. “And I am taking you back to Asgard to wed you this instant, and to proudly show you off to every noble in the Nine Realms.”
You took Loki’s face into your hands and drew him into another kiss. His blue lips tasted better than the sweetest ambrosia, and in that instant, you knew nothing would ever come between you again.
Jane, Darcy, and Erik watched in awed silence as you and Loki went off into the sunset, hand-in-hand, chasing down your Happily Ever After to the farthest star.

28. A night at the pub.
After talking to Frigga, Loki's mood improves a lot.
Tumblr media
He goes running with Fenrir the next morning...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...and I catch him dancing in the kitchen!
Tumblr media
"Mari, come listen! I learned to play a new song!"
Oh, so I'm 'Mari' now! I smile and make my way into the basement.
Before I know it, Loki is singing along with the song he's playing on the guitar. I soon realise it's "Every little thing she does is magic" by 'The Police':
"Though I've tried before to tell her
Of the feelings I have for her in my heart
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve as I've done from the start
Every little thing she does is magic..."
Loki has a nice voice, and he only misses a few notes on the guitar. but halfway through the song his mood changes.
Tumblr media
"Never mind, it's a silly song anyway," he says as he stops playing.
"I liked it," I say softly. But Loki floats through the wall before I can stop him.
of course, the last thing he wants to do is encourage my "delusional sentiments" for him...
We agreed to meet up with the others in the pub on Saturday night. I am wearing a new dress and Loki's mood has improved immeasurably.
It is quiet at 'The Gnome's Arms' and we sit down together.
Tumblr media
"Hey, you've got your eyebrows fully back!" Loki comments to Nea. "What? I've never lost them in the fire, I just tinted them differently," she grins.
"I'm so glad you are here," I whisper to Kitty. "I think Loki knows I have feelings for him and he hates it!"
"I'm sure you're wrong," Kitty whispers back. "I saw the way he was looking at you when we came in!"
I suddenly feel a lot better.
Tumblr media
We order drinks and sit down at one of the tables.
"I did as you nagged and I contacted my ancestral witch," Loki begins. "To my surprise, my Mother was the one to answer."
"That is great!" Kitty says. "You mean your biological mother?"
"No," Loki corrects, "My real mother. The one who raised me, looked after me, and taught me everything that I know about magic.."
"Frigga agrees with you, Kitty," I say. "We need to find Thor. But we don't really know how to go about it."
Tumblr media
"I might have an idea," Nea says. "you know how I'm a bit of an amateur photographer? It's really just a hobby," she explains to Loki.
"Anyway, I'm part of an online photography group. We share hints and tips and stuff. I have a friend there, he calls himself 'Webhead2001'. We've been chatting on and off, his real name is Peter. He lives in New York, and he's been posting amazing pics of the Avengers. A lot of Spiderman pics actually, I think he might be a bit of a fan. He seems to be able to get pretty close to him. I could DM him and ask if he can help us contact Thor?"
Tumblr media
"That is a brilliant idea!" I say. "Sure, send him a DM. Maybe tell him we know something about Loki that Thor would love to know?"
"I'll contact him tomorrow," Nea promises.
We have a few more drinks, and Nea and Loki end up giggling more and more with each drink they have!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's a dartboard in the pub, and soon Loki persuades us to play. I'm terrible at it, and Nea and Loki nearly fall over with laughter as I miss the board.
Loki is the next to try.
Tumblr media
Loki doesn't completely miss, but he doesn't score a point either.
"I'm a bit rusty," he shrugs.
Tumblr media
"Watch me, I've got this!"
Nea's aim is good but the dart misses the board by a hair!
Tumblr media
"I bet he's going to miss again, darts aren't daggers," Kitty says to Nea.
This time Loki scores two points!
Tumblr media
Nea tries again, but while her dart clearly hits the board, she gets no points.
"Whaaa?" she looks at the board in confusion.
Kitty and I giggle, we have an idea who might be behind this!
Tumblr media
"I know you are cheating," I say quietly to Loki, who smiles mischievously.
Nea doesn't score a single point despite hitting the board multiple times!
Tumblr media
"YOU!" She realises. "LOKI!"
"What?" Loki asks innocently.
"I know you are cheating!" Nea accuses him.
"You might know, but you can not prove it!" Loki smirks.
"GAAAAAH!" Nea looks at me. "How do you put up with him?"
Tumblr media
(despite her grumbling, Nea and Loki just became Good Friends!)
We all hang out together for a bit longer, but it's getting late and Fenrir is bored and in need of his evening walk, so we say goodbye.
Tumblr media
I'm about to head up the stairs when Loki stops me. He suddenly seems tense.
"What is it?" I ask, wondering what's bothering him.
"It's about what I said the other night," Loki begins hesitantly.
"Okay?" I'm not sure what he is talking about, but I'm listening.
"Never mind," Loki changes his mind. "It is late and you are tired. sleep well." And with that, he walks out of the door to take Fenrir for his evening walk.

Thinking about how much the Zimvoid arc and Loki season 1 had in common.
Like, both of them star a villain protagonist who ends up trapped in an apocalyptic wasteland populated almost entirely by alternate versions of themselves, most of whom all suffer from the same vice of needing to scramble for power to prove their superiority while a handful of more enlightened versions of themselves reject competition in favor of cooperation. They even both have a kid version of themselves as the leader of the cooperative faction along with an older, wiser version, an aquatic version, and a huge beefcake version.
Of course because Loki is a drama and Invader Zim is a tragedy, the stories take different directions with their character arcs. In in a drama, the story is driven by characters having a flaw that they overcome or a false belief that is corrected, or possessing virtues that allow them to triumph, which all goes toward supporting whatever the story's thesis is. In a tragedy, the story is driven by characters who fail to overcome their flaws, who either never learn their lessons and change or just keep getting worse and worse, or who either abandon their virtues or let their vices win out over them, or whose virtues aren't enough for them to succeed without the support of the world around them backing them up.
Because Loki is a drama, Loki's story is about having his ego broken down so he can be built back up into a better man. He's humbled upon finding himself powerless in the TVA, forced to confront the ugly truth about himself and understand the neediness and insecurity at the root of his obsession with power and superiority. He meets other versions of himself who reflect his worst qualities back at him but also show him that he has the capacity to be better. He learns to be empathetic and care for other people besides himself and causes greater than his own ambitions, but also learns to love himself from falling for another version of him and recognizing that that all the qualities he admires her for are qualities that they share.
By contrast, Zim goes through his experience with the Zimvoid unchanged. Meeting other versions of himself and seeing them all compete for power doesn't make him self reflect on his own pettiness and meeting better versions of himself doesn't inspire him to do better. He doesn't learn to empathize with other versions of himself and doesn't learn to value himself for his own intrinsic qualities. If anything, the experience makes him worse because defeating all the Zims only reaffirms his false belief that his worth comes from his superiority over others.
Loki and the Zimvoid are essentially telling the same story, but the genre makes all the difference to the outcome.
One thing the Zimvoid does though that I really wish Loki had done is support its themes by making the villain another version of the protagonist.
Like, I remember when Loki season 1 first aired everyone was expecting Kang to be behind everything just because it would tie-in with the greater Marvel universe and I was saying I really hoped it would be Loki himself instead. Because Kang wasn't a character in the show until the very end. He had no personal relationship with Loki, he was just some guy we'd never met before. And literally everything else in the show was about Loki being in conflict with himself. It would've made so much more thematic sense if his line early on in the series about his plans to take over the TVA and become the most powerful being in existence was foreshadowing a reveal that one version of him had already done it and the reason he was pruning all other Loki variants who strayed from the path that would lead them to death was because he didn't want any other Lokis to overthrow him or mess up his timeline and throw him off the path that got him to where he was. Kang did end up still tempting Loki with the opportunity to have everything he ever wanted as a final test of his character growth, but it just didn't feel as impactful coming from a stranger as it would've from another Loki.
With the Zimvoid though, we got Zib as the absolute perfect villain for the story. A dark reflection of both our protagonists who are themselves mirrors of one another, reflecting all their worst qualities back at them and showing them the folly of basing their self-worth around proving their superiority over others.

Tears of a Mermaid (Loki Love Story) Ch.12
Tumblr media
it had nearly been two days and Loki still saw no sign of Mara. the only relations he had were mentions from passing servants of the sudden waves that had happened the day she disappeared. within that time period, he had checked every place they had ventured together, land and water and still no sign of her. the thought of her gone was always pushed away in his mind and just maid him search harder.
''what are we exactly looking for Prince Loki?'' the servants would ask and Loki would merely reply,
''anything out of the ordinary.''
it was merely a wold goose chase to others considering Loki was the only one who knew what they should be looking for-er- who, but it needed to try everything he could. her voice..eyes..body.. her mere wonder at something so simple and the innocence she had with anything new. her laugh was just as beautiful as her smile and her thoughts were just as wanted as the scent that left her. oh Mara..
Loki ducked under the branch that had hit him the day they had met, his horse walking along the trails slowly as his eyes searched for the thousandth time that day. he even searched beyond their roaming points, and he only fears something might had happened to her even more..
eventually he pulled his horse to a stop, allowing it to drink from the lake as he continued on foot, muscle memory guiding him on the same path he had taken before he made his way up the side cliff and to the bushes. silence. he walked forward, his eyes scanning the horizon before he stopped right at the edge of the cliff and looked down. nothing but calm yet empty water, no Mara. his fingers played with the small vile in his pocket, the mere shape pulling his attention as he pulled it out and held it up in the sunlight where the single tear of Mara stayed captured.
''i did this to you my love..the vile is filled with nothing but pain, the pain i brought upon you. if it weren't for me..you'd be here now..'' Loki whispered, his grip tightening on the vile as he blamed himself and shame filled his eyes, bringing forth his own tear..
~''since when have you let a female draw your attention to whats really important?'' Amora scoffed as she watched him through her cell.
''i just need the spell. if you wish for your time here to be a pleasant one, and shorter than deemed, stop wasting my time.''
''i've just never seen this side of you Loki, and i have seen quite a few'' she smirked as she leaned forward for her eyes to see better in his. ''she must really be that different to you-''
''she is. power has..always been my focus, with power it can fix everything.. the thrown, Thor..it is my birthright, and regardless of Thor being the eldest son i will not have Asgard be undermined. upon this, everything will change for the better.'' Loki told her, the vile in his hand with his grip tightening.
''and yet it will cost you a sacrifice…''
''she will live, that's all that matters..she may hate me, but who hasn't already'' Loki brushed it off and looked away from her, her lips threatening to smirk and yet her eyes almost feeling sorry for him as she sat up and straightened.
''a good king will do whats best for its people, not its walls..''
Loki's eyes moved back up to hers, his mouth opening to speak but words failed him as she spoke for him
''tel yht erutan eb tcerroc dna eodnu..'' ~
flesti..'' Loki breathed as the tear slid out of the vile and dropped down, falling from the cliff as it shinned in the sunlight before dropping into the water. ''power isn't worth it if you're not here by my side..''
Loki starred down at the waters below, knowing he was where he began, powerless, having to deal with Thor, and alone…but now with the feeling of even more emptiness. his eyes closed as he took in a breath and straightened. he'd continue for her, and get to where he need some day..without hurting the one he loved again..
he began to turn, pausing as a glitter of light flashes down below. he quickly looked back and leaned over the edge, looking down at the waters below and his heart raced. the light seemed to flash brighter, grow and expand as small waves seemed to slash around the light and foam began to evolve. ''by all the nine realms..'' Loki thought out loud as the light almost seemed to make the water jump, looking to be an explosion underwater as he squinted to see what exactly was going on before-
a hand shot out of the water, upward and trying to grab anything it could reach before it fell back into the water. the other hand shot out before both began to splash and a head came up as she gasped for air
''Mara!!'' Loki yelled, almost falling off the cliff himself as he looked down at her, heart racing
''hel-'' she cried and Loki got up off his knees. his armor couldn't have come off faster before he jumped down, not even hesitating before he plunged into the water, a strong arm wrapping around her torso and the other bringing them back up for air
''Mara by gods- how-''
"Loki!'' Mara cried as she clung to him, her arms around his neck as she stayed close to his bare chest and he held her.
his eyes closed as he held her, their skin on each other and her sweet scent he loved so much surrounded him ''Mara you-'' he paused as he glanced down at the water and looked back at her as she leaned back to do the same ''..you have legs-''
''i looked up and saw you on the cliff..did you drop-''
''the tear..'' Loki nodded and his eyes widened ''as i said the spell..Mara are you-''
''human again?'' teared filled her eyes as she smiled, nodding as she clung to him and a smile grew, his mouth struggling to speak as he cupped her cheek gently, his thumb wiping away her happy tears.
''but..i thought you were..''
''i had to recollect myself..everything i had learned in such a short amount of time needed time for acceptance and..i forgive you Loki'' she whispered, her hand resting on his on her cheek and smiled at him ''and..i love you…''
Loki 's eyes returned her own tears as he looked at her, not knowing where to stare first as he drank in her beauty and her words ''gods..'' he breathed, his heart light and racing as he finally felt..complete..
a hand gently rested on the back of her head and brought her closer, his lips resting on hers as he kissed her. her fingers tangled themselves in his own hair as she kissed him back, earning small moans from each other as they stayed close, heart beats beating at once together and Loki pulled away for a small moment, his eyes looking dazed as he grinned ''i love you too Mara..''
Mara's back gently laid down onto the mattress, a soft blush touching her cheeks as she clung to the cape close to her chest. Loki removed his full leather and didn't hesitate to crawl up so he was hovering on top of her ''are you okay?'' he whispered.
Mara took a deep breath as she looked up at him, giving him a little nod as her fingers loosened ''..i'm nervous Loki..'' she whispered and her body trembled a little.
Loki's hand gently rested on her cheek as he kept his voice low, hiding a smile as he noticed her blush even in the dark ''it's going to be okay Mara..i promise i'll be nothing but gentle..''
Mara looked up at him, reaching up to stroke his own cheek and smiled ''..because i'm with you..i know i'm going to be okay..'' she told him, her hand gliding to his shoulder and nudged him down so he leaned and pressed his lips against hers. he kissed her gently, his hand resting on her cheek as he added a bit more passion to the kiss and she felt his other hand slowly grip the cloak and it slowly slid off of her, revealing herself and her new self. Loki gently lowered his body, not for once breaking the kiss and rested his body against hers, being sure to support his weight as he rather felt her body with his own than look with his eyes. he slowly pulled back so he could look at her, leaning his forehead against hers as they starred into each other's eyes ''you are absolutely beautiful Mara…''
Mara bit her lip as her blush deepened and she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck as his lips gently caressed her jawline and to her neck, a hand gliding down slowly, always slowly and ready to stop if she would ever ask, but she didn't. he gently used one hand to pay attention to her chest, his lips lightly leaving small marks on her neck and earning adorable noises from her lips. her fingers tangled themselves in his hair, another hand sliding down his back as she felt his muscles move and show off shape from his back line and shoulder blades. he found his other hand sliding down to her outer leg as he used his finger tips to glide over her skin, giving her the feeling of goose bumps and a pleasant way of getting light headed. his lips moved down her neck and to the crook of her neck, burying his face in her hair as he took in her sweet scent that sent him intoxicated, making him lower himself more against her body and earning a small squeak as he quickly heightened himself a little.
''my apologies darling..'' he smiled sheepishly and she held back a small giggle as she cupped his face and brought him back down to her lips. he moaned as he bit her bottom lip, her teasing him a little by doing the same before giving him entrance where he instantly took, earning a moan as he deepened the kiss. he then slowly pulled back, sitting up as he looked down at her softly and a hand slowly moved to her leg, his fingered stopping towards the inner thigh and used slight pressure to ask for permission, as did his eyes. her eyes looked back up at him, just as gentle as he was and as she bit her lip..
and spread.

Hi idk if you’re taking requests right but I’d to read one where the reader falls under the weather and Loki is just the sweetest when taking care of y/n (I caught covid and I have an ice pack on me and I just thought how soothing it would be to be in his arms)
Lots of love and thank you 💖💖
Oh you poor thing! I did this super quickly just now but I've been there recently myself and I know how rubbish it feels :( I hope you feel better soon and that this little drabble helps you get there💕💙
BETTER
'Come on, love. No arguments.'
Loki's worried tone ran like a warm blanket over the chills rippling across your bare skin, ghosting you like a soothing breeze as he spoke from behind where you were curled up on the bed, facing the wall.
'I told you, I don't like you seeing me like this - I'm fine...' you mumbled as you tried, and failed- to contain a rising cough that rattled against your raw throat.
'I said no arguments. Tell me what you need.’
His words were firm but laced with gentle concern as he perched on the side of your bed, waiting intently.
You sighed, admitting defeat, 'I just feel so shit, Lokes.'
You turned to him over your shoulder with effort, the sheen of sweat that clung to your face and hair suddenly at the forefront of your mind as you saw the flawless figure leaning towards you to place his hand on your forehead, his deep eyes yearning, the radiant skin of his brow furrowed with increased concern.
'I really want a cuddle...but I'm too hot...', you drew away from his touch, planting your face back on the pillow with a soft thump.
You heard a soft chuckle as the mattress shifted beneath you, 'don't worry darling, I can help with both of those things...'
Through your closed eyelids, you felt the vibration of his seidr from close proximity as he ridded himself of his clothes. Gently, he placed one arm over your naked waist, sliding it down to the exposed hip below as you lay on your side, one arm tucked under the damp pillow as he pressed his torso flatly against your moist back.
You moaned softly, his strangely cool skin bathing your inflamed body with relief like sliding into a swimming pool on a hot day. It was heaven.
'Loki...' you whispered gratefully as he kissed the back of your head.
'Just relax, darling - I can change the temperature if you wish, just let me know.'
He brought one strong leg to rest over your thighs, pressing himself tightly to your curves as you felt yourself lean back into him, fitting every inch of skin that you could against his deliciously glacial frame as you let out a broken sigh, feeling instantly better than you had in days.
'Better?' he murmured lovingly against your ear.
'Better...' you replied, turning your face to his to meet his waiting lips with a grateful kiss.

A beginning of a fic I’ve written in my head but too lazy to actually write #give loki a good found family. The outline of the full story is here
The fic takes place straight after Loki’s fall when he lands on Tatooine. Post ‘Thor’ 2011, post ‘The Book of Boba Fett’. Unreliable narrator!
Falling.
Shining rainbow becomes a dot.
And then – nothing.
Just – nothing.
The Void between the worlds is black. Not like the darkest night, not like ink – there’s nothing to see. Not a tiniest bit of any light. Loki cannot even see his own hand – it is stretched out? Or not there at all? He cannot feel it – cannot feel his own body… has it even been his own, though?
Loki cannot breathe. Does he even need to? He doesn’t feel his chest rising and falling, he doesn’t feel his own heartbeat. He cannot hear anything. And it’s not the eardrum pressure of the Bifrost – there’s just nothing to hear. No sound. Is he trying to speak? Scream? He doesn’t know. He cannot feel his own movements.
All he really comprehends is the voice in his head, repeating the end of his life over and over.
‘No, Loki’.
Not worthy of love. Not good enough in the eyes of his father. An evil little shadow of his glorious shining brother.
‘No, Loki’.
Only a couple of days – and Thor is forgiven for everything he presumably did wrong. A couple of days on Midgard – and now he is ready to lay aside his centuries-long hatred and contempt for the Jotuns and protect them. A couple of days in a company of a pretty woman – and he’s worthy of love and throne and respect again. A true son of Asgard.
‘No, Loki’.
Not you.
Thor has changed and is on his way to become a true king – but not because of your centuries-long attempts to make him better. But because of just a weekend with a woman he’s in love with. Of course, her influence is much more potent than his own brother’s.
Not brother’s.
Never was.
Loki wants to feel righteous rage… hurt… anything at all. But instead – numbness. Nothingness. Inside and outside of him. What’s the point of feelings, anyway? All that exists is nothing. Darkness. Weightlessness. Is he falling seconds? Centuries? Is he even falling? Is he still alive?
Loki doesn’t want to be anymore.
Yellow.
Numbness inside of him twitches.
Bleary yellowish spots in the darkness.
Becoming closer. A pull of gravity feels stronger and stronger.
Gravity?
Must be some space body. A planet? A star?
Loki doesn’t think it’s a star. He cannot see well – everything is blurred, he cannot distinguish the shape – but it’s not hot, not bursting with flames.
He summons all the magic he has, encasing himself in it and preparing for the entering the atmosphere – if there will be any. Not that he has any further plans – he feels like he isn’t capable of thinking anymore. All that remains is his survival instinct.
And then – heat envelops him. He tugs on his magic tighter and squeezes his eyes shut. Feeling of falling becomes much more prominent, and he hates every second of it.
But a feeling of something is glorious.
The sound of him piercing the air deafens him.
But he can hear again.
The impact of the landing makes his head ring and creates a cloud of… sand? Yes, yellow sand erupts around him. Loki feels particles of it covering his hands and face with a hot veil. And it feels. Just… feels. Oppressive air fills the lungs, Loki tries to breathe with a full chest, and it hurts as nine hells, just like the rest of his body, but he feels again.
For a second Loki is happy. It feels nice to be alive.
And he blacks out.
---
A sliver of light.
Sounds. Voices?
A feeling of movement. Transportation. Hardness behind his aching back. Smell of something greasy, machine oil and old clothes.
Chill.
Loki tries to open his eyes. Barely manages – it’s like an impossibly heavy task.
Tries to move his arms and legs – they’re as if made of uru metal.
The head is dizzy, he hurts all over. His eyes can hardly see – they got used to pitch darkness (‘No, Loki’… ). But he recognizes some kind of a room full of unidentifiable items scattered all over. A group of small hooded creatures is huddled together talking in half-babbling half-chittering language Loki cannot yet understand – he isn’t able to put his own thoughts into words, much less grasp speech of someone else. He tries and his head hurts more.
They saved him?
Loki looks down and realizes why he feels chilly. He has no armour, no weapons. Only his inner tunic remains unscavenged. Even his trousers are robbed of metal pieces, and his boots are also absent. He sees his daggers in the hands of the creatures – they twirl them, obviously discussing. Not going to give them back.
Loki stretches his hand and summons them.
Or tries.
The daggers barely move. Several items on the table nearby fall. The creatures jump and gasp, look at Loki with their glowing eyes from their hoods. Loki feels nauseous and helpless. Even his magic betrays him.
And then he loses consciousness again.
---
Next time Loki awakens, he’s in water. The liquid blurs everything around, it’s impossible to orient. A breathing mask fills his mouth and nose. But he landed in a desert… where does water come from?
Wait.
A mask.
Someone put him there.
Fear squeezes his heart.
He tries to stretch his arms forward, and his hands land on a cool barrier.
Panic is like a rising tide – almost chokes him. He pushes his hands desperately, and the barrier flies open. Loki sits abruptly, water splashes around him. He pulls the mask out of his mouth, and medical smell fills his nose, the same taste lingers on his tongue. Not water, then. Heartrate slows down, panic curling in his belly like a wild cat ready to jump.
He rubs his eyes and looks around.
A spacious room of stone. Sunlight – he didn’t know he would miss sunlight – falls through the window, and Loki notices two suns. He’s in some kind of a tank with medical equipment attached to it. He’s naked albeit a small towel around his hips. There’s a robot nearby, but it doesn’t move.
All memories of… yesterday?... fill Loki’s head.
The fight on the Bridge.
‘For you! For all of us!’
‘No, Loki’.
Thor’s shouts and an outstretched hand as if he’s trying to catch him.
Falling.
Shining rainbow becomes a dot.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Sand.
Scavengers.
And – here.
His head is surprisingly clear, as if after a long and nice sleep, considering all confusing events before. His body doesn’t hurt anymore. He reaches for his magic – still weak. He feels weak.
Loki guesses this is what the tank is for – healing.
But what for should he be healed? He doesn’t have any purpose. Doesn’t want to live. (Or does he? – memories of the marvelous feeling of sand on his skin, of hot air around him make him feel… feel what?)
Then he hears steps outside the heavy door. Confident. Closer and closer.
And all Loki has is weak magic (he’ll be barely able to move a fallen leaf), a tired body (still stronger than many species, though), and a sharp mind.
The door opens. A man walks in almost lazily, but Loki knows instantly – casualness is a facade. Burly, covered in green armour, with weapons like blasters and hidden knives attached. Darker skin, bald head and face covered with nasty-looking scars. A posture of a seasoned warrior. Air of not-quite-a-threat, but someone who definitely knows how to be in charge of a situation.
 – Awake already? Good, - the voice is gruff, but somehow not unkind. – Do you speak Basic?
 – I do, - words scratch the dry throat, Loki barely holds himself from coughing. It’s hard to project dignity when you’re wet and naked in unknown circumstances. – Where am I?
 – Mos Espa, Tatooine. And I’m the Daimyo here. Boba Fett, - the man raises an eyebrow, clearly prompting Loki to introduce himself.
Loki starts to assess the situation. In an unknown place – he’s never heard about Tatooine planet – in the dwelling of an obvious leader of this place. Not good. But this Fett allowed him to be healed – so he has something ready for Loki. Some kind of use. On the other hand, he obviously doesn’t recognize Loki as an Asgardian prince… former Asgardian prince… whatever. It’s not time to dwell upon it. The fact is, now Loki can hide what he’s capable of, assume another personality and get out of here.
 – Loki, - he hears his mouth saying as if from the outside of himself. – And I’m lost.
‘What in the Nine Worlds is wrong with you?’ – his mind screams immediately. Panic raises its head, ready to uncurl completely and cover him all. Did the Fall through the Void affect his brain-to-mouth connection? He won’t get anywhere spewing the truth right and left and wearing his heart on his sleeve!
 – Then the droid will help you get dressed and take you to the kitchens, - Fett nods to the robot, and the thing whirs in response. – We’ll figure something out, don’t worry. – He flashes a brief smile and leaves the room.
This reception is… baffling. Loki’s not a person to trust easily – his own trust turned out to be catastrophically misplaced – but this seems as a… good start. Maybe, he won’t have to fight his way out. Panic settles down.
Maybe, he’ll be able to use this situation to his own advantage. After all, he survived the Fall through open space. Maybe, he’ll find some other life out there.
If someone is interested in writing a whole story (by chance), please inform me.

Angst With A Happy Ending Masterlist 2
Links Last Checked: April 13th, 2024
part one
A Marriage of Inconvenience (ao3) - WhinyWingedWinchester loki/tony, natasha/thor M, 80k
Summary: Forced into an arranged marriage with Prince Loki of Aysgarth, Tony knows that he is not the ideal husband to the son of a king, but he still hopes that he might find true love with his husband like the stories he loves to read of adventures and happily-ever-afters.
Prince Loki, however, does not wish to be married, and he makes this clear to Tony even after their vows have been said before the priest. Life is no better for Tony in Castle Aysgarth than it was back in Iron Reach - he is as unwanted by Loki as he was by his father.
But slowly, things change. There is a steadily growing affection between them, something that might, perhaps, grow into more and Tony can only hope his love for Loki might one day be returned.
But then an assassin strikes unexpectedly, pirates attack, and Tony very well might be living an adventure from one of his books, but it looks like happily-ever-after might be too much to hope for.
As the World Falls Down (ao3) - BowieGirl T, 7k
Summary: Peter doesn’t know Tony has a drinking problem. Until he does.
Or, alternatively: Tony Stark gets drunk, says something he regrets, and tries to make amends – before it’s too late.
Becoming Belonging (ao3) - sahiya G, 18k
Summary: Peter barely remembered the week after he came back, five years and two minutes after dying on Titan. But he did remember this: looking at Morgan Stark and feeling––to his immediate shame––wildly, insanely jealous that Morgan had had those five years with Tony and Peter hadn’t.
Between how it is and how it should be (ao3) - frostysunflowers T, 13k
Summary: ''Doesn’t Captain Rogers ever…wonder,'' Peter winced as he fumbled for the right word, ''where you are?''
Bucky smirked. ''Steve’s a regular mother hen. Used to be me that worried about him.'' He gave Peter a pointed look. ''Better question is, isn’t Stark wondering where you are?''
Distracted by a Dime (ao3) - happyaspie steve/tony T, 56k
Summary: Peter Parker thinks he has everything figured out. Where he can eat, sleep and make a little bit of money. What he needs to do in order to continue attending Midtown High and being Queen’s friendly neighborhood Spider-man. How to keep his entire situation under wraps and most importantly, who he can trust.
Then, along comes Tony Stark with an offer he can’t refuse. The plan is to remain professional, to not get too close to the Stark-Rogers’ family. Not getting comfortable means not slipping up and saying anything that he can’t take back.
...but for Peter- things rarely go as planned...
G.I. Joes and 2AM Diners (ao3) - OhCaptainMyCaptain steve/bucky E, 100k
Summary: They look nothing like what they used to. Time and life have completely changed them. But as they sit there in silence, eating two halves of one cupcake, letting Brooklyn remind there where they came from, and enjoying a sky full of stars… They are those same little boys, somewhere deep down. For just a second, you’d be able to see them again.
And Bucky thinks to himself that maybe it’s little moments like these – fleeting as they may be – that remind him why life is still worth living.
Heroes are Easy, People are Hard (ao3) - Halbereth, Lorien steve/bucky, pepper/tony T, 152k
Summary: Shuri and Wanda cleared Bucky's triggers shortly after Killmonger's attempted coup, and he and Steve went on the run. But it turns out there's more to "fixing Bucky's head" than "getting Hydra out of it." When a group of rogue scientists manage to neutralize the serum and make Steve very sick--pre-serum "this is bad" kind of sick--and they're cut off from contact with Wakanda, Bucky knows only one person with resources to help.
He calls Tony and surrenders on the condition that Tony tries to help Steve.
From there, it's basically three variously messed-up guys’ trajectories from "This Is Fine", "Reasonably Speaking I Know It’s Fine", "I Will Be Fine With It" to actually being fine, guest-starring a far-better-adjusted teenage boy who climbs walls, a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, two women with a keen sense of the absurd, and Bruce, the Zen master of “it’s fine that it’s not fine.”
Add in the fact that Bucky's been secretly in love with Steve since the thirties and things only get harder. Learning to be a person is the hardest thing Bucky Barnes will ever have to do--but he's got company along the way.
Hold Me in Your Heart (ao3) - STARSdidathing loki/tony T, 3k
Summary: No one knew about Loki and Tony. No one knew what had developed between them behind closed doors and off the battlefield. No one knew that capturing Loki, that sentencing him, was going to be as much a death for the man behind Iron Man, as the mage behind the bars.
honey, you're familiar (like my mirror years ago) (ao3) - yusufsmoon steve/bucky T, 9k
Summary: Or: Bucky comes back to Steve and somehow remembers everything but their relationship. Suspicious.
Learned to lose you, can’t afford to. (ao3) - sunsetmoonrise N/R, 7k
Summary: Peter Parker’s biggest fear is that everyone he loves dies, so when one of Tony’s jokes hits a little too close to home, Peter tries to distance himself from his father-figure/mentor/hero. Unfortunately, a mission going wrong and landing him in the Tower’s med-bay means he has nowhere to hide when Tony asks him what’s wrong. ———————————— “Jesus, kid, you’re gonna send me to an early grave,” the billionaire joked, still massaging his temples with his eyes closed. Because of this, Tony never saw how quickly Peter’s face paled as he stumbled back a few steps in dreaded realisation. The older man never saw the absolute terror in the boy’s eyes- eyes that were suddenly glistening with tears- caused by his thoughtless words.
like clockwork, when it dies (ao3) - killerqueenwrites T, 3k
Summary: Tony jerks awake in a chair that feels a little too small, blinding light searing through his eyelids before he even opens them.
It’s off. Wrong. Sideways. He can’t put his finger on why.
The clock is ticking for both Tony and Peter, but Tony can't help but feel that this torture wasn't meant for him.
Peter and the Jailbirds (ao3) - beautifullights mj/peter, steve/sam M, 86k
Summary: “If you did play chess," Ross said, "you’d remember that a pawn can become a queen. The most powerful piece on the board, Parker, remember that? But—” Ross smiled— “only if it obeys.”
He adjusted his tie, stood, and looked down at Peter. “I’ll ask you again,” he said. “Eventually. You may feel differently after you’ve been living in a six-by-six cube without sunlight or fresh air for a few years.”
“What pawns do,” Peter said, voice shaking slightly, “is sacrifice themselves for the greater good. I have no regrets.”
He had a lot of regrets.
Like, a lot. A crapton. A shitload. An overloaded dumpsterful.

Loki Knew Her
Putting this here just in case people can not read it on dA. I know they can be a problem sometimes.
This story is about two people falling in love. No ordinary people either, two Asgardians…well sorta…One is full Asgardian, the other one is actually Jotun. This story is about Asuna and her love Loki. Their life together…but before we get to that love…we have to see the friendship first and see how it grows.
Asuna was wandering around the castle with her mother, she was only 5 years old, when she saw the princes walking with their father, the king or Allfather. Asuna didn’t know where the Allmother was at the moment. She looked at the princes and smiled at them. They both smiled and Thor even waved back. Loki seemed very shy. The interaction was so quick and fleeting. A few days later Asuna was in the library with her studies when Loki came in to read a book for a while.
He saw Asuna and went to her. “Hi, I’m prince Loki.” He put out his hand. Asuna couldn’t help but giggle, but Loki thought she was laughing at him. She quickly grabbed his hand before he could move and greeted him, “Hello, I’m Asuna.” Without thinking he lifted her hand to his lips to kiss it, much like the Allfather did with the Allmother. Asuna remained perfectly still until Thor came in to drag his brother away. “Come brother, we have much to be doing.” Even at that age his voice was loud, nearly booming. Asuna giggled and waved at Loki in goodbye.
A few years later when they were ten years old, Loki was hanging out with his brother, his best friend and Thor’s friends. Odin walked down the hall to them with guards behind him as usual, “Boys! Come with me!” Odin called to them. With that Odin walked away, again guards still behind him, and the boys following soon after him. “I’ll try to come see you later.” Loki told Asuna, Thor pouted about not being invited. Asuna nodded at Loki.
Asuna’s mother soon came to get her to do chores for the day, cook, clean, wash…anything that was needed of them. Asuna didn’t know how to do anything else…this was her life and most likely all she would do until her life was over.
Later that evening Asuna was waiting for Loki…she waited so long that she fell asleep waiting for him. She woke up the next morning…She couldn’t be mad for he was a prince after all.
Into the day was when she would see Loki again, but he seemed disgruntled…something was clearly wrong with him. “Prince Loki, is everything well? You seem not yourself today.” Loki sighed and barely looked at her, “I would be better if I knew that I would be king one day. But I know for sure it will go to Thor. Father treats him better than I.” Asuna sat next to him, not too close, “I think you would be a great king when you grow up. Who knows, maybe Thor will not want the throne.”
“Lies!” Thor came up to them. “I will be a great king. Father said so himself.” Asuna looked at Loki, who wasn’t any happier. She wanted to grab his hand in hers or hug him to comfort him and show him her support, but he was a prince and she was a commoner. She was allowed to play with them but that was it, nothing more was to be done. “To Hel with it.” Loki looked shocked and noticed her looking around. She grabbed his hand in her, brought it to her lips and left a feather light kiss on his knuckles. Loki and Thor were both shocked. Loki because someone else other than his mother cared for him, and Thor because someone actually liked Loki other than their mother. Before they could be seen, Asuna leaned to his ear, her lips so close, “I will always support you, my very best friend.” Loki pulled away and was shocked, numbly nodded and walked away with Thor for supper.
As they grew up, certain events and changes happened of course. Asuna’s mother had passed from illness. One that thankfully Asuna did not catch and neither did anyone else. Loki was there for her, and thankfully Frigga adopted her as a daughter. She was made a lady of the court of course. Thor was being trained to be king by Odin more and more each day, Loki was pushed to the side. Asuna tried to make him happy, and he seemed thus, but he still wanted his father to accept him and he wanted a throne like he was promised as a child. Asuna wished she could take that promise and shove it, for Odin making Loki think this way, it wasn’t healthy especially as they grew older.
Asuna still supported Loki, even through his mischief, the trouble and pain he caused people, but she tried to lessen it as best she could. She truly wanted to tell Loki her feelings, for over the many years she had grown to love him, silly as it may be…but even as a lady of the court she wasn’t a princess and knew that Loki deserved better than her. Though that didn’t stop young maidens from trying to sleep with him to gain status, and some men as well. She knew Loki wasn’t completely attracted to just women, he liked men too. Asuna accepted this. If he would prefer a man to her she would support him and stay by his side anyway, as his best friend.
Also as the years went on and Thor was taught how to rule by his father, Loki was taught magic by his mother. Asuna would sit and watch sometimes, until her mother died and Frigga thought it helpful for her to learn magic as well. She would also train in combat as well. Frigga thought it was a good idea, since she could see glimpses of the future, everyone knew this, so Asuna wondered but never questioned.
As the years went on…before they knew it they were all just a little over 1000 years old, Asuna could see that Loki was upset about not being able to be king. She grabbed his hand and went to their secret spot for just them. She would comfort him there when she knew he needed it. Once they were in their spot, Loki told her what was going on, “Thor will be announced as the next king tomorrow…” Asuna grabbed his hand. “Look at me Loki…I think you will make a wonderful king. I will support you if that time comes. You never know, we both know how Thor can be, he might not actually take the throne when the time comes.” Loki didn’t look at her and ripped his hand away from hers, “He will be king. I don’t understand why Father told me I would be king if it was nothing but a lie!” Asuna was taken aback by his rage and just sat there as he left.
Today was the day…Thor’s day. Asuna sighed as she stood with the others of the court and watched as Thor held up his hammer before he started to walk toward the throne where his father stood proudly waiting for him. Off to the left were the Allmother Frigga, Loki and Lady Sif. Off to the right were The Warriors Three, Hogun, Fandral, and Volstagg. Yes…the glorious day where Thor would be named the next king…instead of Loki, whom Asuna thought was a better choice. Not because she loved him so much, but he was very smart…where Thor didn’t understand magic or science. It was all swing hammer for him.
For Asuna all she wanted to do was run to Loki and comfort him, or run away if he wanted that instead. It may seem crazy that she was so in love with him and supportive of him but that’s what you do with someone you care so much about. She had her eyes on Loki as he stood next to his mother. She looked in his eyes, that weren’t actually looking at her…she could see something that. He was up to something, she knew it. She just hoped he wouldn’t get into too much trouble from whatever prank it was that he was about to pull. She knew long ago, after Loki changed from an innocent boy to a mischievous god, that nothing would make her stop loving him…not one thing.
She had been wrapped in her own thoughts that she had barely taken into account what Odin had been saying until there was silence. A softly spoke, “Frost giants…” from Odin. Then he, Thor and Loki went off, most likely to the vault. Because Asuna knew that was where the casket that belonged to the Frost Giants was kept.
Not long after, Asuna was looking for the princes and heard a clamor from where there were feasts. She ran to see what was going on and saw a table overturned. Lady Sif and the Warriors Three not that far behind her. She assumed that Thor had flipped the table in a fit of rage. Asuna shook her head. She sat down next to Loki to listen to what he was saying, she knew that he was baiting his brother…but she didn’t understand why. She decided to ignore it for now, maybe Thor wouldn’t listen to his brother for once, and set about cleaning up the mess Thor had made. She wouldn’t say anything, she wasn’t allowed to.
As they were walking out, Loki stayed behind and knelt by Asuna as she was cleaning up, “Tell not one soul, pet. I will be informing a guard to inform Father.” Asuna sighed softly and nodded. As he got up she could have sworn she heard him say, “That’s my girl.’ or ‘Good girl.’ She ignored it as he walked out to catch up with the others and kept cleaning.
Asuna walked to the balcony to see Loki, Thor and the others making their way down the rainbow bridge to the Bifrost. She shook her head and went back to finish cleaning up the mess. A few maids came in to help and they all eventually got the table right side up.
By the time they were finished she heard the Warriors Three coming in with Sif. “Are you all okay?” She saw the black skin on Volstagg. “We are well.” Fandral came over to her to grab the wine she was setting out. “Thank you.” He said. “Thor and Loki are with the Allfather right now.” Sif informed her. Asuna breathed a sigh of relief that Loki and Thor were home safe. “I’m glad everyone made it back.” She bowed with grace and started the walk home.
Loki found her on her way home and told her everything…well not his plans. Not the fact that he turned blue, well his hand anyway, either. But he did tell her about Thor’s banishment. “Loki, you tricked Thor by goading him into going there…Why? Was that your plan from the start? To get your brother out of the way so you could be king? Did you bring the frost giants here?” This was her home…She loved Loki…she did but this was going farther than he had ever gone before. “He’s your brother, Loki.” To Loki it looked that even the woman he loved, yet had not told, was picking his brother over him. “I should have known that my best friend would pick my brother over me. So much for you supporting me and being by my side.” And with that he got up and hurriedly walked off. Asuna watched him walk off… “I’m so sorry Loki.” She made her way home with tears in her eyes.
Asuna walked into her room, not having a clue what to do. The man she loved was doing all of this to have a throne. She sighed, grabbed a book off the shelf, summoned some tea and went to her bed to read until she was tired enough to sleep.
Loki was standing away from his friends…Thor’s friends as they spoke. “We never should have let him go.” Volstagg told them. “There was no way we could have stopped him.” Sif spoke matter of factly. Fandral spoke up next, “Well, he is only banished, not dead. Which is what we’d all be, if that guard hadn’t told Odin where we’d gone.” Hogun walked over to Volstagg to put some lotion on the burn he had received from the Jotuns. Loki was lost in thought while still listening to them talk. He looked at his hand wondering what was going on. “How did the guard even know we had gone?” Volstagg questioned. Loki looked at them, “I told him.” He admitted. “I told him to go to Odin after we’d left. He should be flogged for taking so long. We should have never even reached Jotunheim.” (Flogged means beaten)
“You told the guard where we were going?” Volstagg proclaimed in anger. “I saved our lives. And Thor’s. I had no idea Father would banish him for what he did.” Sif got up and walked toward Loki. “Loki. You must go to the Allfather and convince him to change his mind.” He faced her, “What if I do, then what? I love Thor more dearly than any of you, but you know what he is, how he is. He is arrogant. He is reckless. He is dangerous. You saw how he was just today. Is that what Asgard needs from its future king?” Loki walked out as soon as he finished speaking.
“He may speak for the good of Asgard, but he has always been jealous of Thor.” Sif spoke after Loki had completely left. “We should be grateful to him, he did save our lives.” They continued to talk for a while.
Loki walked to the vault. Once inside he picked up the casket. As soon as he touched it he turned blue…as if he were a Jotun. “Stop!” Odin shouted at Loki. He put it back down and turned to face him. “Am I cursed?” Loki inquired. “No.” Odin replied. “What am I?” Loki questioned. “You are my son.” Odin told him, walking down the steps a little. Once Loki was turning around the blue from his Jotun form was disappearing. “I want more than that. The casket wasn’t the only thing you stole from the frost giants that day was it?” Loki asked. “No.” Odin explained to Loki how he got him. He found out he was Laufey’s son. Loki’s thoughts were all over the place. “Why? Why would you take me?” Loki asked. “You were an innocent child.” Odin told him, Loki didn’t believe him. “No, you took me for a purpose. What was it? Tell me!” He yelled at Odin. “I thought we could make an alliance, make peace, one day.” Odin told him. “What?” Loki was confused, and hurt. He felt like his world was falling apart and he had no part in it anymore. He didn’t know what to believe anymore.
“Those plans to longer matter.” Odin told him, he saw Loki as his son. “So I’m just another stolen artifact to be locked up until you need me?” Loki seemed to be getting angrier as the moment passed. “Why do you twist my words?” Odin was trying to calm his son down. He knows just what Loki can be when he was angry. “Why didn’t you tell me from the beginning?”
“You’re my son. I wanted to protect you from the truth.” Loki was upset, Odin could see it clear as any day. “Why? Because I’m a monster.” Loki started going off in a fit, while Odin was weary, say down on the steps. Loki came up to him. “You couldn’t stand to see a frost giant sit on the throne of Asgard.” Once his father passed out, he wanted to grab his hand, but this wasn’t his father. He yelled for the guards and they came running in to help Odin.
The guards took Odin to a chamber that has a pod for his Odinsleep. Loki, confused, went to find his friend, he had to try and talk to her. Tell her about how he was sorry. It didn’t take him long to get there, considering she lived in the same place she always had with her mother before she passed away. He knocked on the door, but no answer. Neither from the door opening or the sound of her voice telling him she would be there in a moment. He knocked on the door again, and started to worry that maybe he really upset her. Because he knew that he was the only one that really came to her home. After she didn’t answer the door the second time he went through the door, knowing that since she didn’t answer and all the lights were out she must be sleeping. He sighed but still wanted to check on her anyway.
He made his way up to her second floor and looked for her bedroom. He had never actually been to her home. He went to one room and found that not only was she not there but it looked like the bedroom had been unchanged for a very very long time. He figured it must be her mother’s room. He went to another room and found her bedroom. She was sleeping in her bed facing away from him, so he went around to see her face. What he saw shocked him…tears running down her face. He could tell she was dreaming of what he didn’t know but he was certain it had to be about him. He was about to gently wipe her tears away but pulled back and looked at his hand… “I’m a monster.” And with that he left.
Asuna watched as Loki fell off the bridge into an abyss and she cried tears of pure sorrow at the loss of the man she loved. But he wasn’t gone forever…Asuna saw him again, but he was king and with a queen by his side. It wasn’t her. She never told Loki her feelings…they were never together. She cried so hard for the love she lost. Watching him be a glorious king and have a lovely queen with a beautiful family. All the things she wanted with him but will never have. She woke up suddenly feeling magic in the air. It was Loki’s but he wasn’t here. She shook her head and went back to sleep.
Loki was walking back to his room lost in thought. He really needed to talk to Asuna but he didn’t want to scare her away. He knew he had upset her earlier but all it would take was an apology for getting angry at her and she would forgive him. And as of right now she knew nothing of the secrets about himself, but she did know he was trying to take the throne. Once she heard about Odin she would most likely think he caused it…maybe or maybe not. He knew there was a possibility that she would believe him no matter what since she was always by his side and he knew she cared about him. She was his best friend for a reason. But the thought of losing her killed him inside. So with that he decided to walk to the throne and become king.
The next day, Asuna went about her duties, not trying to avoid Loki but also just trying to figure out her feelings and how to tell him.
The Warriors Three and Lady Sif showed up to the throne expecting to see Odin, but instead were met with Loki sitting on the throne…as if he were king. He informed them that Odin had fallen into the Odinsleep and it was unclear of when he would be waking up. Also the Allmother would not leave his side. “You can bring your urgent matters to me. Your King.” Asuna had been walking by when she heard Loki announce this to their friends. “...No…” Asuna didn’t think that Loki wanted the throne that bad, that he would not only get rid of his brother but his father as well. There had to be an explanation behind all of this. She shook her head and kept on walking. After a bit she had to walk about through, but snuck into the throne room to see what was going on.
They asked Loki to bring Thor back from his banishment. “I can not undo the last King’s command. We are on the brink of war because of him as it is. We are done here.” They all turned to leave, as they were Sif stayed, turned to look at Loki a moment longer, before she turned and walked out following the Warriors Three.
Loki waited until they were gone, “You can come out now. You never were good at hiding from me, or sneaking around.” Asuna came out from behind the column. “What have you done?” Loki looked mad, “What I’ve done?! I’ve done nothing but take my father’s place while he sleeps!” Loki yelled at her. This time she didn’t turn around before he could see the tears start to well in her eyes. Loki immediately regretted yelling at her, she wasn’t who he was mad at. “I-I have to go.” He shuddered as he turned and walked out of the throne room. He was on his way to where his father slept…
Loki decided to pay a visit to the chamber where Odin slept to have a word with his mother. “Why did he never tell me?” She gave Loki the same gentle smile she always had. “He kept the truth from you so that you wouldn’t feel different. You are our son, Loki. And we are your family. We mustn’t lose hope that your father will return to us. And your brother.” Loki looked stunned, “What hope is there for Thor?” His mother leaned forward a little, “There is always a purpose for what your father does.” Loki leaned back, lips pressed tightly to each other. He wasn’t happy at all. One thing he wanted to do was talk to his best friend, but he had hurt her so badly now…He didn’t know if he lost her as a friend or not, forever. He didn’t know who he was anymore. Loki left his mother alone with Odin.
Sometime later in New Mexico, Loki was with Thor. “Loki?” Loki nodded, “I had to come see you.” Thor looked shocked, “What? What is it? Let me explain to father-” Loki interrupted him. “Father is dead.” Thor was in complete and utter shock. “What?”
“Your banishment. Threat of a new war. It was too much for him to bear. You mustn’t blame yourself. The burden of the throne has fallen to me now.” Thor looked like he had a glimmer of hope in his eyes when he asked, “Can I come home?” Loki had a poker face on the entire time. “The treaty with Jotunheim is conditional on your banishment. Mother has forbidden your return. This is goodbye brother. I’m so sorry.” Thor apologized and thanked him for letting him know. “Farewell.” Loki said, turning around and disappearing.
Once back in the throne room, Loki wasn’t prepared for a slap to the cheek, a hard slap at that. “How could you do that to your brother?” Asuna screamed at him. “I want to believe you are better than this…but you’re making it hard on me, Loki. You have a family that loves you. Can’t you see that? People that love you! Why are you trying to throw it all away over something as stupid as a throne?” She screamed at him before she passed out. Loki caught her in his arms and sighed. He took her to his chambers to rest. She was right though, why was he trying to throw it all away? Either way he would keep going with his plan.
Loki used the Bifrost to go to the frost giants to make a deal.
After a few hours, Asuna woke up in a stranger’s bed. “Where…” She sat up and realized she had been here before. She was in Loki’s room. Speak of the devil, he came into the room to see her sitting up. “You don’t understand what I’m trying to do.” She tried to get out of bed and when she did she stumbled. Loki moved forward to catch her if she fell again. “Yes I do! You’re trying to prove to Odin that you are worthy.” Loki could see Asuna was trying her hardest to be strong. “Then you know you can’t stop me.” With that Loki turned around to leave, “Stay here. It’s in your best interest.” He left and she heard the doors locked.
Asuna got up quickly, running for the doors and banging on them to be let out. But to no avail, she wasn’t let out and found the doors locked. She didn’t understand what had caused the Loki she had fallen for so long ago to change and be this now. It didn’t make sense. In all the 1000 plus years she has been by his side…He never wanted the throne this badly, but now it seemed more personal. She sighed, trying to figure out a way to get out and get to the bottom of what was going on.
Loki made his way to the weapons vault, going inside and down to where the Guardian was kept. “Make sure my brother doesn’t come back. Destroy everything.”
Loki was doing whatever it took to keep his plan going, he wasn’t going to let anything stop him. With that he went back to his throne to watch the destruction from the eyes and ears of the Iron Guardian. He didn’t know that Asuna was watching behind the column listening to everything. She was upset that Loki was doing all of this to begin with. Loki was listening to the words his brother was saying. “End this? It will never end until your death.” Asuna wanted to come out from behind the column, to stop Loki, but he didn’t know she had used magic to escape his room. Suddenly she heard Thor’s thunder…she knew that Thor had his powers back and soon they would all be back in Asgard.
She watched as Loki got up and she ran back to his room without being seen and went through the locked doors. She went to a window to see if she could see Loki going outside of the palace, and indeed she did. He made his way to the Bifrost. She saw that Heimdall was being frozen and that Loki was gone. She waited on the balcony for his return, only to see the frost giants, and Loki was letting them into Asgard. She put her hands to her mouth with a gasp. “No…” She said softly.
Not long after she saw Heimdall break out of the icy prison and cut the frost giants standing guard down. He went and put his sword in the key port. Soon enough the others along with Thor had returned. Asuna ran out of the room, through the doors with her magic, and went to Odin’s slumber chamber. She got there in time to warn the Queen before Laufey was there. Once there the Queen tried to fight Laufey with a sword but was knocked back, backhanded. Asuna tried to use her magic but was backhanded as well, not falling too far from the Frigga.
Laufey, the frost giant king, went over to and stood over Odin. He made an ice dagger, but before he could use it he was shot at, by Loki. “And your death came at the son of Odin.” With that said, Loki used the scepter to kill Laufey, who burst into gold dust.
Loki’s mother went up to him as he came to hug her in a tight embrace. Making sure for himself that nothing bad had happened to her. Loki looked to see Asuna lying on the floor, he moved to go see if she was okay, but Thor’s voice stopped him. Frigga went and hugged Thor. “Loki, why don’t you tell them how you sent the destroyer to kill me?” Loki lied, He shot Thor out of the room and made his way to the Bifrost. Frigga helped Asuna up, “You may be the only one to get through to him.” Asuna shook her head. “I couldn’t before.” Frigga shook her head. “You have to try.” Asuna sighed and nodded and went to where Loki and Thor were fighting.
Asuna could somewhat hear Loki using his silvertongue to make Thor as mad as he could, to get him to fight. She wanted to stop this, she had to think of something, she just didn’t want to hurt Loki because he was the love of her life, but Thor was like the older brother she always wanted. She sighed, “Why?” She spoke softly to not a single soul, trying to come up with a plan. She didn’t want to use magic because she knew that Loki could counter her.
Loki made himself copies to surround Thor, but Thor used his lightning to make them disappear so only the real Loki remained, and was knocked back. After getting up, Thor put his hammer down on Loki’s chest so that he couldn’t get up. Loki tried to get it off him while Thor went to try and stop the madness that Loki had started. Asuna ran over to Loki who asked her to help him. She thought for a moment and then actually tried but failed, “I’m sorry Loki. I can’t get it off. I’m unworthy.” She lied well, she didn’t actually try to get it off him. She could see in Loki’s eyes that he was sad for the things he had done to her. Loki went back to mocking Thor. Thor summoned his hammer and started to destroy the Bifrost.
Loki summoned his scepter and ran to Thor, jumping and going to stab him in the back. Before Loki could actually stab him in the back, Thor broke the Bifrost, knocking them all back. Asuna watched on, horrified and shocked by both of their actions. She was falling back with them, but before they could fall into the abyss, Odin caught Thor by his leg and Thor caught both Loki’s scepter that Loki held, and Asuna’s hand.
Thor smiled at both of them, thankfully he was able to save both of them. “I could have done it, father.” Loki said to Odin. “I could have done it for you, for all of us.” Odin was stone faced, “No Loki.” Loki’s face went completely blank, and he slowly let go of the scepter. “No! Loki!” Thor yelled. “Loki, don’t!” Asuna yelled at him. “No!” Thor yelled as he let go. “No…” Odin let out. Asuna herself was sobbing while she screamed ‘no’. She would have let go if Thor wasn’t holding onto her so tightly, not wanting to let her go.
Before she saw Loki completely disappear she screamed something to him. “I love you!” She saw the tears on Loki’s face as he disappeared.
Odin helped Thor and Asuna up. They went back to the palace.
Later that night, many celebrated the return of Thor and the defeat of Loki for some. Asuna walked up to the queen as soon as Sif walked away. “Do you think…we’ll ever see him again?” Frigga put her hand on Asuna’s arm, “I don’t know. I hope.” Frigga hugged Asuna as she softly cried. “I’m sorry you didn’t get to tell him how you felt.” Asuna looked at her, “I did, I just don’t know if he heard me.” Frigga smiled at her. “I’m sure he did and I hope he holds that in his heart. Wherever he is.”
Asuna thanked her before she followed after Thor. She watched the interaction between Thor and Odin. Then she walked with him to Heimdall. He asked about Jane while Asuna held his hand. “You’ll see her again some day, my friend. At least she isn’t completely lost to you…not like my love.” Thor dropped her hand to put his arm around her shoulders and kissed her head. “Don’t lose hope for Loki. He is a survivor. We may yet see him again one day.” Asuna nodded. “I hope you are right.” With that they walked back to the palace with Thor’s arm around her shoulders and her head on his. They ate and drank until Asuna went back to her room.
Once home she changed and curled up in her bed to cry for the love she lost. Sorta love, since he probably didn’t hear her anyway.
Elsewhere, Loki was being forced to see Asuna and Thor together, being lied to that they were able to finally be together after getting Loki out of the way. After being tortured, he was brainwashed and given the scepter of power to mind control others. He was also given an army to lead, the chitauri, and told to invade Earth to get the tesseract.
Not long after, Loki appeared on Earth through the portal of the tesseract. After being told to put his weapon down he started to attack everyone there. He used the spear to take over Clint Barton’s mind. Along with a few others. He made a few verbal exchanges as Fury was trying to stall for time, for the place to blow up and bury them all. But Loki got the tesseract and left. Loki eventually got away, along with the others whose minds he took over.
Asuna was having a fitful sleep in her bed back on Asgard, clearly having nightmares. She was actually seeing Loki killing people. That wasn’t her Loki though, not the one she grew up knowing. She knew that he tried to kill his brother but that was something else. Something was very wrong with him. She just didn’t know what that could be.
She woke up in a cold sweat with a jolt. She threw the covers off her and went to get something to drink. Trying to clear her head of the dream. She sighed, put her glass on the counter and went back to bed to try and get more sleep. But she was plagued with more dreams of Loki. He is somewhere underground, she thinks, and the spear he is holding has power going inside of him. She could see it, he was being controlled, she knew this for a fact, so that’s what was wrong with him. No this couldn’t be happening. Her love was alive and being controlled through his mind! She tried to call out to him but he couldn’t hear her. He probably wouldn’t even know who she is due to whomever was using him anyway.
She did her best to try and wake up, once she did she went to see Thor. “Thor! I’m sorry to wake you up, but I need to speak with you right away.” Thor sat up quickly and grabbed his hammer, which was right next to him in the bed. “What is it?” He sat up, the covers pooling around his clearly naked waist. “It’s about Loki.” Thor’s eyes, which had been closed, were suddenly wide open. “I’ll be right out.” Asuna turned and left, closing the doors behind her and waiting for Thor to get dressed and make a plan.
The doors opened wide moments later with a now clothed Thor, “Now what about Loki?” She sighed, “He’s alive! I’ve seen him. And he’s being controlled through his mind.” Thor shook his head. “This can not be. Loki would never be so eas          ily-” Asuna interrupted him, “I know it’s hard to believe, but I saw it. He is on Midgard. He is killing people because of something else. Something very strong is controlling him. Using him for something.” Thor nodded. “Alright, Asuna, I will try to get to Earth and see what is going on.” Asuna hugged him. “Thank you, my friend. Please don’t hurt him.” Thor shook his head, “I will do what I have to do, Asuna.” She sighed, nodding and left.
She went home. Shaking her head, trying to get the fear out of it. For him. She wanted to scream but wouldn’t let herself. She had to be stronger than that. She was stronger than that. She made up her mind pretty quickly, she was going to Midgard with Thor to try and stop Loki. She changed her clothes, and went to find Thor at the end of the rainbow bridge ready to go find Loki. “I’m coming with you!” Thor shook his head about to protest. “Don’t you dare tell my no. I may be the only one that can help him. Thor, I love your brother, I have for many many years. Please.” Thor sighed, “Fine, Asuna, but if it gets too dangerous for you, please take cover somewhere, anywhere safe.” She nods, and with that they were on their way. The Allfather using his power to send us down.
Thor was holding tightly to Asuna’s waist so as not to lose her. They landed in a woodland area he wasn’t familiar with. “He must be close by.” Asuna nodded.
Loki was in Germany causing trouble. Causing a distraction for Barton to steal something. Making people run in fear.
Asuna and Thor were going through the forest looking for him. “Do you sense him at all?” Asuna shook her head. “Wait, he’s in the sky.” Thor swung his hammer and made lightning, flying up and had them land on a plane. “Get him out, Thor!” Thor nodded and went in and grabbed Loki and flew back out with him. Asuna saw them and jumped. Thor caught her and they landed. Thor let Loki fall on his back.
“Where is the Tesseract?” Thor asked him. “I missed you too, brother.” Loki didn’t look up, so he didn’t see Asuna there. “Do I look to be in a gaming mood?” Thor asked. “You should be thanking me now that you get to be on Earth.” Thor picked him up. “I thought you were dead. We all thought you were dead.” Loki looked into Thor’s eyes. “Did you mourn?” Loki asked. “We all did. Even father-” Loki interrupted him, “Your father. You know my parentage.”
“We grew up together, played together, fought together. Does all of that mean nothing to you?” Loki scoffed, “I remember a shadow. I remember you tossing me into an abyss.” Asuna was shocked, she got into Thor’s mind. ‘Do you see what I mean? His mind has been warped as to believe things were different. Easier to control.’ Asuna told Thor. ‘Yes I believe you.’ Thor thought back to her.
Loki and Thor exchange more banter back and forth. “Who controls you, Loki?” Thor asked but Loki didn’t answer. He was still trying to get a rise out of Thor. “Come home.” Thor told him. “Listen well brother-” But Thor was taken out quickly by someone flying by.
“I’m listening.” Loki said. Asuna got her shot and ran up to Loki who was shocked to see her. His eyes wide, his mouth agape. “Asuna…why are you here?” She shook her head. “I’m not happy with you, Loki. I’m not happy with what I’ve seen you do.” he looked away and she grabbed his hands in hers. “But I still care about you deeply. And I want to help you escape whomever is controlling you.” Loki shook his head. “It’s too late for all that.” He pulled her hands to make her body come close to his, wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her passionately. “I heard what you said. I care about…power.” He said slowly. Asuna nodded. There was nothing she could do to free him, no matter how much she wanted to. He was doing what he needed to, to protect her, because what he truly cared about was her. “Then I’ll just have to help Thor to stop you. My dearest enemy.” Asuna stepped back and Loki nodded his head. He could see the tears forming in her eyes and he hated himself, but he couldn’t let her get hurt in all this. He wanted to let it all play out to plan.
Asuna saw Thor fighting someone and went down after him. “I swear I’ll help you, my love.” She whispered looking slightly back at Loki, who had a sinister smile on his lips now. She went down to try and help Thor. “Asuna, no!” She stopped at Thor’s commanding voice. He was hit by a shield. A moment later, Thor brought his hammer down on the shield and everyone was knocked back. Asuna could feel Loki’s panic. She got knocked back, but she wouldn’t go down easily. They all got up, Thor going over to make sure Asuna was okay. They stopped fighting, grabbed Loki and took him to a place in the sky.
Asuna was with Thor listening to Loki speak to Fury. Thor briefed them on what he knew. Asuna was in a chair trying not to cry. She was trying to be strong. She needed to be. She had to help Loki. She was listening to everything they were saying. “He’s being controlled.” She shot up and told them. “Excuse me.” Asuna sighed, “He is being controlled because of the scepter. I know this for sure. I saw who it was. It is a source in outer space.”
“We’ll try to keep that in mind when he decides to kill more people.” Asuna wanted to scream, her hands started to glow a purple color. “I won’t let anyone hurt him and I won’t let him hurt anyone else.” Fury completely turned to her, “And why are you so determined to save him?” Thor looked at her. “Because I love him. We grew up together. Loki, Thor and I. He talked to me before you captured him. He said things that would hurt me if I didn’t know him better. He is trying to protect me…someone who wants to do what you think he is wouldn’t protect anyone, even me.” All the others didn’t look impressed. “We will stop him by any means necessary. You won’t be getting in our way.” Asuna walked off.
Asuna was wandering around, when she heard a young woman talking to Loki. She stood outside to hear what they were talking about. She could hear Loki trying to hurt her, with his silver tongue. Asuna couldn’t understand why Loki was being so cold. Asuna started to cry. She noticed the woman leave and went in. “How could you? This isn’t like you, Loki. Not my Loki.” Loki was stunned to see her. “Why…? What happened to you? What did…what was done to you to make you this way? Please try to tell me, love.” Asuna stood there waiting for an answer, looking deep into his eyes, she had nothing but love in hers, and she couldn’t see any emotion in his eyes.
“Asuna…” She shook her head and took a step forward, she knew he wasn’t going to answer. “No…I want to believe you, Loki. I want to believe in you, my love.” She turned around to leave. “Asuna! I’m sorry. I truly am. I never wanted to hurt anyone. I didn’t want all of this. But if nothing else I need you to know something before you go.” He watched her turn her head back towards him, but she didn’t turn all the way around. “You have my heart.” Now she turned all the way around. “You have my heart, my love.” Loki smiled, “I do wish I could tell you everything, if nothing else, what I’m doing, the plan, everything will work out how it is meant to. You know how smart I am. Now go, my love.” She nods, “Yes, my dearheart.” She goes to leave.
Suddenly there was an explosion and Asuna was knocked out, she had been moved and fell into a wall hitting her head fairly hard. Loki watched, wishing to do something, but his master would not let him. Thor found her and tried to wake her up but couldn’t. “Loki will pay.” Thor made his way toward Loki’s cell and saw the door opening. Thor went for him but went through Loki and into the cell, Loki closed the door and trapped Thor inside the cell. “Are you ever not going to fall for that?” Thor roared with anger. “You know Asuna has passed out and won’t wake up… And it’s your fault.” Loki for a moment looked shocked and upset, but he knew. He looked over to where she was, and then was about to drop Thor, when Agent Colson came in to stop him, but Loki stabbed him in the back. And then proceeded to drop Thor anyway, not before telling him that Asuna will be alright.
Loki went to his beloved, who was still passed out on the floor, he picked her up in his arms, lovingly and tenderly, and carried her to the jet that awaited him. He sat down in the jet and put her on his lap and held her close to him, kissing her forehead. He didn’t mean for her to get hurt, he hated that she was here to begin with, he only ever wanted to protect her.
Not long after she woke up and noticed she was in a jet, at least that is what she knew it to be. “Where-?” She was interrupted by Loki, “Shh, it will be alright, love.” Loki stroked her hair. “Why?” Asuna asked, looking into his eyes, still trying to see love, or any other emotion in them. “I can’t control anything.” Asuna turned her head, “There has to be a way. This is getting out of hand. You’re hurting so many people, and you’re being…cruel…” Asuna didn’t want to say that, she didn’t want to say that word, she started to cry, Loki watched the tears falling, wiping them away with his index finger, holding her with one arm, and he kissed her cheek tenderly. “I want the sweet man I fell in love with.” Loki looked taken aback for a moment, at the confession again, “I’m right here. I swear, my love.” Asuna shook her head slightly, she really wanted to believe her Loki hadn’t changed. “Not at the moment…well not this moment. Loki, you truly are being completely controlled? I don’t think it’s all that, we both know it.” Loki looked like he was about to get angry but he controlled it better than what he did a year ago. “Fine! Yes!” He got up, setting her down, and went to the other side of the jet.
They were in a silence, headed somewhere Asuna didn’t know. Asuna didn’t even bother to look out the window, she did wonder where they might be headed, but kept her head down. She was trying to think of a plan. She knew she couldn’t leave the jet, it was too high up and moving way too fast.
By mid-day they landed and Loki let her out. “You must stay safe, and I know you will be safe here.” Asuna didn’t want to hear him right now, but she would try her best to stay safe. She went into the building and hide, but kept watch just in case she was needed.
Loki always came into the building to deal with Iron Man. Whom after several minutes falling to the ground and a metal suit going around him. Loki was out of control, throwing him out the window like that just because he wasn’t getting his way. She ran outside to see the portal opening, she saw space, and then aliens coming through. She just stood there staring and trying to think of a way she could help, the hell with what Loki said.
She saw Thor land and start fighting with Loki. She wanted to help Thor, but she didn’t know how without hurting Loki…or maybe she wouldn’t hurt him. She had to think fast because she didn’t want to get in the way either. She saw Thor lift Loki up and drop, that was her chance. She used her magic to hold him there, Thor and Loki both looked at her. “I can’t let Loki keep going.” Loki was stronger and hit her with his magic, not enough to hurt her but to disrupt her hold on him and he rolled off the building, landing on one of the alien’s flying vehicles. Thor comes to Asuna’s aid to make sure she was okay.
Asuna was in shock, just seeing all that had been destroyed, and all because of Loki. She really wanted to believe he could come back from this. She truly didn’t want to, but she was starting to question if this was all just him being mind controlled or not. He was a trickster, not a murderer. She knew that this was from something deeper, this was from him being lied to, from his father keeping his heritage secret. She knew she could get through to him, she had to try. She was determined, by any means necessary.
Loki was thrown into the building, Stark Tower, she ran in, only to see a large green monster come in after Loki. Loki insulted said monster and the monster grabbed his leg and started to beat him into the floor a few times. Loki just laid there defeated after the green monster was done with him. Asuna came over to Loki to see if he was okay. He weakly put his hand up to her cheek. “Go…” Asuna shook her head. “I will save you.” Loki looked away from her. She leaned down and kissed his cheek quickly.
She got up quickly and ran to see outside and saw the Avengers had beaten the alien army and shut the portal down. “Whoo! They did it!” She yelled happily. Before too long the Avengers made their way up into the building to deal with Loki.
She ran back into the building to see Loki crawling to sit on the steps. Before the Avengers could get there she went to him and sat next to him. She put her hands on his cheeks and pulled his lips to hers in a tender, loving kiss. She was letting her magic flow through her, to see if the hold on him was truly broken, and it wasn’t, so she used magic Loki didn’t know she even had to break the hold and heal his mind, and put up some barriers so this didn’t happen again. “Love, why?” Loki asked her. “I would do anything to keep you safe, my love.” She smiled at him and healed his face as well. “You are feeling better now, aren’t you, my love?” All he did was let out a breath and a curt nod. Then he put his head on her shoulder as she held him close.
The Avengers showed up to take ‘care’ of Loki. After all was said and done, Thor, Loki and Asuna were about to head home, along with the tesseract. Asuna was worried about Loki and hoped for the best.
Finally they were home.
Unfortunately, because of what Loki had done he had to pay for his crimes. Asuna knew that this was unfair, but couldn’t speak up about it. She knew that if she did, Loki would be upset with her and she could be punished just as badly as he might, if not maybe more. Loki was placed in chains and walked to the throne room to be judged and punished by Odin. Asuna walked with them, once there she walked up to Frigga and stood with her. “I want to speak with him alone.” Frigga and Asuna left, but Asuna didn’t want to. She wanted to hear what was being said, but Frigga pulled her out to the hall. “He will be fine, my little love.” Asuna hugged Frigga. “It wasn’t all him. I broke the hold, I healed his mind, put up barriers so it won’t happen again.” Frigga nodded, “You did well, my child. Odin won’t kill his son, despite what Loki may think, Odin does love him and won’t kill him.” Asuna nodded. “I love Loki more than anything.” Frigga smiled, “I know. I’ve seen your future. You will be together.” Asuna smiled sadly.
Before they could speak more, Loki was taken by them. “Dungeons.” Was all Loki said, he looked at Asuna sadly. Asuna started to cry, but Frigga comforted her. “It will be alright, my little love, you will see him later, I will make it so. For now come with me, let’s spend time together to ease your heart.” Frigga led her down the hall and to the dining hall, where Thor was with his friends. Thor could tell that Asuna was upset. Asuna and Frigga sat together. Thor got up and sat next to Asuna and hugged her tightly. “I am sorry, little sister.” Asuna hugged him back and started to cry more.
“Since you are staying in the palace, I will talk to Odin to see if he will allow you to see Loki whenever you choose. I feel you may be the only one to truly help him. You love him so deeply. We are but his family, not all families listen to each other, but you two love each other as soulmates.” Asuna nodded, “I will do whatever it takes to help him, mother.”
About a week later, Asuna was finally allowed to go see Loki. She ran down to find his cell and stopped in front of it. Loki didn’t notice her at first. “Loki…” He finally looked up and saw her, jumping up. “What are you doing here?” Asuna smiled at him, “I’ve been allowed to see you, whenever I desire. Are you alright, my love?” Loki shook his head, “I don’t belong in here.” Asuna gave him a look. “My love, you know you do. But you know that your father put you here-” He cut her off, “He is not my father!” He yelled at her, something he had never done before, and he regretted it immediately. “He is your father, Loki. He raised you. Yes he didn’t tell you who you truly were, but he still raised you.” Asuna was cut off after her sentence was finished. “And put me in a cell, Asuna!” This time he wasn’t using anger to yell. “He could have easily just as killed you, Loki!” She yelled back. Loki looked away, knowing she was right. “I didn’t think you and I could fight…” She trailed off. “Asuna…” Loki looked back at her, “I’m sorry, my love.” She nodded, “I’m going to go spend time with your mother, my love. I will be back in a few days.” Loki looked sad at that, he didn’t want to go days without seeing her. “You have my heart, my dearheart” Asuna told him. “You have my heart, my love.” And with that she went back upstairs to spend time with Frigga.
Over the span of a few months, Thor was doing his best to bring peace to all the realms, and was finally home. Asuna was the first to hug him on his return. “Thor, my big brother.” Thor smiled at seeing her and returned the hug. “Little sister, Asuna!” She giggled, and he lifted her up and flew with her, using his hammer, and going to the palace.
“How is Loki, my sister?” Asuna looked down. “He hates being in the cell and doesn’t think he belongs there.” Thor nodded, “Maybe one day he will be the brother I grew up with again. I know you want him out of the cell, maybe one day he will be. Maybe Father will have mercy.” Asuna nodded this time. “I know if anyone can help him, it is you, little sister.” Thor told her. He hugged her tightly and she buried her face into his chest. Thor was truly the best big brother Asuna never had.
Later that night, everyone was celebrating and drinking. Asuna and Thor drank the most, to the point where Asuna was very drunk. Thor kept her close to him, protective of her as a big brother should be. “I want to go to Loki.” Thor looked at her, “Be careful, sister.” Asuna nodded and went down to the dungeons.
She went right to his cell, to see him sleeping. “Loki!” He shot right up, and noted that she was drunk. “Asuna, my love, you are drunk.” She shook her head, “Yes. Because I miss you.” She came right up to the cell. She giggled, Loki was amused. She used her magic to make her way into the cell, Loki was shocked and impressed.
He grabbed her right away and pulled her to him. “My love.” He kissed her passionately, and she gave him all the passion right back. Loki pulled back a little and went for her neck, licking it and leaving a small mark. Asuna moaned softly, Loki making another mark but much, much darker. Asuna let out another moan, and reached her hand down to cup Loki, and play with him gently. “Oh my. I think I like this game, my love.” Loki kisses her lips again, and makes the gesture even more intimate by running his fingers over hers as she plays with him. As she played with him more, she reached up to lick and kiss his neck and nips, soon leaving her own mark on his neck. Loki moaned as she nipped and left a mark on him. Asuna used her magic to make their clothes disappear and pushed him down onto the bed, getting on top of him, lifting herself up, taking him in her hand again and guiding him into her body. Then sliding down all the way, before going up and down in a rhythm. Going faster and faster over the course of mere seconds. She threw her head back and moaned his name. “Oh Loki!” He gasped when she slid down on him and groaned as she moaned his name. Asuna leaned down as she was going up and down on him, pumping his cock with her tight cunt, and licked his nipples, sucking hard. Pumping faster and faster, moaning loudly and throwing her head back once more as she screamed his name as they came together, him releasing his seed heavily inside her.
She collapsed next to him. He held her close and kissed her forehead, and stroked her hair. “My beloved.” He panted. “I am and always will be your, Loki.” He was surprised, but only slightly. She was his and he was hers, now. “I am also your and always will be.”
“You should go, my love. Please so you don’t get into trouble with my father.” She kissed him deeply and summoned her clothes back on and left the cell. Going upstairs, seeing Thor, who helped her to her room.
A few nights later, Asuna went back to see Loki again, and saw he was having a fitful sleep, she went into the cell again. She laid down with him, to comfort him. Not knowing that Loki was having a nightmare of her dying, and it was so real to him. He was crying in his sleep, and he woke up, bolting upright and then noticed that Asuna was next to him. She sat up with him, and he held her tightly, crying openly. She comforted him, “It is alright, my dearheart. I’m right here.” Loki pulled away and kissed her deeply, soon they were making love again. Loki held her, both naked, tightly to him. “You can’t come into my cell anymore, love.” Asuna pulled away, shocked. “I don’t want you to find a permanent stop down here, cause it won’t be with me.” She looked like she wanted to cry and he kissed her cheek, “Hush, love, I’m just trying to keep you safe. And I know I never said it before, but thank you for helping me on Midgard.” She smiled, “You are welcome, my love. And I will do as you ask, no more coming in the cell.” She winked at him and he laughed. “Alright, my love, time for you to go.” She nodded and summoned her clothes again and left the cell. “You have my heart, my Loki.” He nodded, “You have my heart, my Asuna.” And with that she left again, and wouldn’t be going back in the cell ever again.
A few days later, Fifa went and visited Loki in his cell. “I have brought you some more books. I’ve done what I can to make you comfortable.” She told him. “Oh it must be such a burden to be asked about by Thor and Odin.” He leaned on the back of a chair. “You know well it was your own actions that placed you here. Asuna asks about you. I know very well she comes and sees you just about every single night.” Loki tried to ignore her, but he knew what his mother knew everything. “I’m sorry, mother. I love her.” Frigga shook her head, “I know darling. I ignore it.” He moves away from the chair. “My actions… I was merely feeding the lie I was told my whole life. I was born to be a king.” She seemed upset with him. “A king owns up to his mistakes. What about the lives you took on Earth?” He turned away, “A mere handful compared to how many Odin has taken.”
“Your father-” He interrupted her, “He is not my father!” Loki yelled at her. Frigga had hurt in her eyes. “And am I not your mother?” She asked Loki, knowing what the answer would be but hoping he would say something different. She could see the difficulty he had to say his answer. “You are not.” She smiled at him as only a mother would. Loki touched her hand to make her illusion disappear, but Frigga could see the doubt at his statement and the hurt in his eyes.
Asuna was walking around the palace when she noticed a young woman with Thor. She slowly walked over to them, but paused when she saw them kissing. Once the kiss ended, Thor looked over to see Asuna. “Ah, Asuna, come meet Jane!” He grabbed Asuna and pulled her over to meet Jane. He had his arm around Asuna’s shoulders and kissed the top of her head. That clearly seemed to be his greeting for her. “Um…hi.” Asuna said. “Who is this?” Jane asked. “Oh this is Asuna, she is like a sister to me and one day she will be.” Thor smiled, Jane seemed surprised. “How?” Thor laughed, “Whenever she and Loki marry.” Jane seemed more surprised. “You are in love with the villain that destroyed New York?” Asuna looked angry and Thor put his arm around her waist to hold her back. “Do not insult my love. He was under mind control!” Thor moved Asuna completely away from Jane. “It’s okay, little sister. She doesn’t understand.” Jane was watching their interaction.
Asuna got out of Thor’s hold and walked away, “I’m sorry. I have to go.” She went into the palace with tears in her eyes. She started to make her way to the dungeons, making her way to Loki’s cell and he saw tears in her eyes. “My dearheart, what happened?” Asuna whips away her tears, “I just didn’t like what someone said about you and yelled at them.” Loki was only slightly surprised that she would stand up for him and his face softened.
Suddenly they heard a loud bang and prisoners were escaping. “My love!” Asuna moved to get into Loki’s cell for safety, and he held her close. They watched the prisoners start fighting and then noticed Thor and his friends fighting the prisoners. “Love, as soon as they stop fighting you should go.” Asuna shakes her head, “No, Loki.” He shook his head at her, “Fine, as long as you are safe, my dearheart.” Asuna hugs him tightly and kisses him.
Meanwhile, Jane was with Frigga. And Maleikith (WRONG) came for the stone inside of Jane. But Frigga would not let them have it nor her. And Frigga was murdered, Odin holding her, Thor throwing his hammer at the two that had caused it but they got away.
Loki and Asuna had made love yet again, “Why must you keep doing this to me, my dearheart?” Asuna chuckles, “I can’t help that I need you, my love.” Loki chuckled this time. “You should go my love.” Asuna shakes her head, “Not right now. I would be safer here.” Loki holds her closer, “You are right, I won’t have you up there with all the chaos.” Asuna smiles and kiss his neck then nuzzles it, “And for once it wasn’t you that started it.”
They lay there in silence until a guard is heard approaching the cell and Asuna uses an illusion to hide herself. “The queen has been murdered.” Asuna holds in her cry of sadness until the guard is gone, he goes to grab Loki but he gets up and the furniture goes flying, her still on the bed, but she saves herself. “Loki…” He looks at her. His mother was dead, Asuna was the only one left who loved him for who he was. He regretted throwing the furniture. Asuna came over to him, slowly, cautiously. “Loki…” She put out her hand, Loki wanted to do nothing more than smack her hand away, push her away and make her hate him. He couldn’t, he fought every cell in his body to do what he normally would, to push everyone away.
He grabbed her hand instead and pulled her to him. She put one arm around his waist and her other hand in his hair to hold his head to her shoulder as he cried. “I have you, my dearheart. I”m not going anywhere, I promise.” Loki didn’t answer, he didn’t have to. She held him to her, the entire time. “You have my heart, eternally.” He nodded, she knew he meant to say it back but didn’t wish to speak.
Asuna fixed all the furniture and they were on the bed again, holding each other. “You didn’t cry…” Loki told her. “I…I didn’t want to add to your pain, my dearheart.” She says as she finally starts crying, Loki holds her this time. Her face was in his neck as he held her to him so tightly.
Some time passed and it was dark in the cell again. “I want us to get married.” Asuna told him, he was shocked, smiled slightly. “Someday we will. And have children as well.” Asuna smiled. “I’m glad you want to have children.” Asuna smiled and kissed him.
They fell asleep together, but hours later Loki woke up to the horror of seeing his mother die. He shot up and Asuna did as well, putting a hand to his back. She could see his face, he was angry. “My love, don’t let the hate take you. I am here. Here with you.” He looked at her, and calmed down ever so slightly. “Please, do not push me away.” He barely nodded his head, “I’m doing my best.” She put her arms around him. He took comfort in her arms once again.
“I can sense Thor coming.” Loki put an illusion up so that Thor could not see Asuna at all. Then Loki started using his silvertongue to try and make Thor mad, but Thor wasn’t buying it, he knew Loki too well, telling him to drop the illusion, so Loki did. Thor saw Loki sitting on the floor at the wall with Asuna, the furniture completely destroyed in the cell. “Now you see me brother.” Asuna leaned on Loki with her hand in his.
Thor and Loki exchanged words, Thor asking for help, him knowing he couldn’t trust Loki. But it would mean leaving the cell. Thor let Loki and Asuna out of the cell. “Asuna, what were you doing in there with him anyway?” Asuna shook her head, “My job as someone who loves him, comforting him.” Thor laughed, and shook his head. Asuna punched Thor in the shoulder, hard. He rubbed the spot. “Ha, I knew I loved you for a good reason.” Loki pulled her close and kissed her passionately. She kissed him back. They were making their way upstairs.
While walking through the halls, Loki was up to his old tricks, changing into different people, even changing Thor into Sif, and then himself into Captain America. “Oh baby.” Asuna jokes, Loki glares at her. “I’m just kidding. You're my only love.” Loki stops glaring as he is pushed up against a pillar by Thor with his hand over his mouth. “What?” Loki asks. “Guards.” Thor replied. “You could at least give me a weapon. My dagger. Something.” Thor made a move to give him one. “Finally. Some common sense.” But they were handcuffs. “I thought you liked tricks.” They kept moving and were met with Sif and Jane. Jane came up to Loki and would have slapped him if Asuna hadn’t caught her hand. “Touch him and you’ll regret it.” Asuna told her. Asuna looked at Thor who needed to control his woman. “He destroyed New York.” Asuna growled at her, “He was under mind control. This discussion is over.” Jane didn’t seem to care.
“We don’t have time for this, let’s go.” Guards were coming. Sif and the Warriors Three threatened Loki, “Guys, I’ve got him. Please let me handle it.” And with that they were getting on the ship in the palace and taking it out of the palace and into the line of fire. Loki was giving Thor a hard time, Asuna put her arms around Loki’s waist from behind and pulled him to her. “My love…” Loki smirked. Along the way to where Thor only knew where they were going, Loki kept making comments. Asuna shook her head and made sure Jane was alright, not that she cared, the young woman clearly hated Loki.
Suddenly Thor pushed Loki out of the spacecraft. “What the hell?” Thor picked up Jane and told Asuna to come. They jumped off and onto a smaller transportation craft. Fanrel was piloting until they had come trouble. Loki piloted to a way out of Asgard. “Loki!” Thor seemed worried. “If it were easy, everyone would do it.” Loki smiled. “Are you mad?” Thor questioned. “Quite possibly.” Loki’s grin got bigger.
They went through a small opening into a cave, almost too small for the already small aircraft they were in, and went through, ending up in the realm of the dark elves. “Ta-da!” Loki said. They kept going slowly trying to find where it was they needed to go. Thor made sure that Jane was completely fine, while Loki looked at Asuna, “You alright, love?” Asuna nodded at him. Asuna watched as they started to verbally fight and then Thor wanted to attack Loki but didn’t. They calmed down pretty quickly. Asuna went to Loki’s side, “Everything will be alright, my love.” Loki looked at her and kissed the side of her head.
Not too long, Jane woke up, got up and they knew they were where they needed to be. They landed the craft near a cliff and got off. “Alright, you ready?” Thor asked, Jane nodded. “I am.” Loki said, with a smirk, a very mischievous one. Asuna knew her love so well, even without that smirk she knew he was up to something, something not good. But she would trust him, she always would. Thor hesitantly took Loki’s cuffs off… “You still don’t trust me?” Loki asked, already knowing the answer, he knew himself and the things he had done in the past. “Would you?” Thor shot back. “No, I wouldn’t.” Loki manifested a dagger and stabbed Thor and pushed him down the mountainous hill.
“Thor!” Jane yelled, with Asuna following behind her, after Loki jumped down. Loki made it down first, Asuna couldn’t hear what he was saying, but she saw Loki kick Thor in the face. As Loki kept throwing insults at Thor, Thor summoned his hammer, Loki cut off his hand before he could get it. Jane went to Thor, Asuna was still in shock, she never knew Loki would do such a thing. She couldn’t believe it, she wouldn’t. Loki grabbed Jane intending to give her and Thor to the dark elves. (Mal) lifted Jane up and took the darkness out of her. Jane seeing everything that (Mal) intended.
“Loki now!” Asuna was stunned. Loki dropped his power of illusion from Thor who called his hammer. Loki took Jane to Asuna and tried to shield them both while Thor tried to destroy the darkness. But it couldn’t be destroyed and went into (Mal). Thor started fighting the dark elves, while the big guy got a grande and tried to throw it at Jane, Asuna and Loki. Loki pushed the women down and threw the grande back, and was about to be taken into it when Thor saved him. Asuna was feeling all sorts of emotions, fear, sadness, anger, love, just to name a few. Thor and Loki were both fighting the bad guys. After Loki was done killing his bad guys he saw Thor was having trouble with his, Asuna was trying to help Thor with her magic as much as she could. Loki ran over to try to help them, grabbing one of the large swords that was left on the ground and running it through the big bad guy, but the big bad guy turned and pulled Loki to him, impaling him with the same sword.
Asuna screamed in horror, “No!” She started to sob and ran to him. “No no no no no.” Asuna had tears, much sorrow in her eyes, on her face, and knelt down to pick Loki’s head up and put it in her lap. She took his hand in hers, threading their fingers and putting it to her lips and kissing his fingers. She brushed his hair from his face and leaned down to kiss his forehead and then his lips. “No, my love, please don’t leave me. Please do not die.” Loki looked her right in the eyes, and all she saw was pure love for her, and it made her sob more. “I’m so sorry, my love. You will always have my heart, my wife.” And with that Loki…stopped…breathing. Asuna screamed in absolute pure agony, her heart cracked in pain and loss, her sobs louder than before. “I won’t forget you, my love. You have my heart forever. You are my husband.” This seemed to shock Thor but he knew she was only claiming it. “Come we have to go.” Thor pulled her away, and they went into a cave.
Before too long they were on Midgard, “I want to go home…” Asuna told Thor, almost having not one since emotion at all. He pulled her into a tight and comforting hug. “I know but the Bifrost is closed right now. I will get you home. I promise.” He kissed the top of her head and let her go, but didn’t leave her side, he understood she truly loved his brother and wanted to be there for her now.
Meanwhile, unknown to anyone else, Loki got up, turned into a guard and made his way back to Asgard. He went in guise to tell Odin of his death. Odin didn’t seemed bothered by it.
Asuna with Thor went to where Jane was staying to get more into what was going on. After everything was figured out and they had a plan, Thor did what he could to keep Asuna safe.
Asuna was scared and didn’t understand what was going on. Once it was over she ran to Thor to make sure he was alright. “I’m okay.” Asuna nodded. They made their way to a safe area and were taken up in the Bifrost.
Asuna followed Thor and hid while he spoke with Odin. “You can come out. This isn’t a sentencing.” Odin told her. She came and stood next to Thor. Odin could see tears in her eyes. “I do not want to be king. I would rather be a good man than a good king.” Asuna was shocked. “One son wanted the throne too much, the other not enough.” Odin sat down. Thor tried to give him the hammer. “It is yours as long as you are worthy of it.” Thor nodded, “I will try to be.” Odin told Thor how proud he was of him. Asuna walked out with Thor.
They walked down to Heimdall. “You stay safe, okay? I love my love, I don’t want to lose my brother too.” Thor nodded, he pulled her into a hug and kissed the top of her head. “I will be safe. I will come and visit you. We can share stories about Loki.” She nodded, tears still in her eyes, threatening to fall. “Now go home and try to get some rest.” She nodded and watched Thor go then turned and walked home.
Not long after a guard showed up at her door. “Odin has requested your presents.” She sighed. “I just saw him.” She nodded and walked with the guard to the throne room. “What is it, All-Father?” Odin smiled. “Frigga had made chambers for you here in the palace. I think you honor her, you should move into them.” Asuna nodded, “Alright.” Odin looked like he wanted to say more but didn’t. Asuna walked to her home with a guard to pack up all her things and with his help made her way to the palace to the chambers Frigga had made as hers.
Later she was walking around the palace, when she heard whispers. “It’s not right that Odin should let a young woman, unmarried, stay in the palace so close to his chambers. Asuna ignored it. “No she was in love with the prince…although…maybe she would.” Asuna couldn’t ignore that. “Oh yes please keep speaking, but to clear things up. I love Prince Loki and I will never stop loving him even though he is gone!” Asuna turned and went to walk away when she bumped into Odin. “I’m sorry, All-Father. I didn’t know you were behind me.” Odin glared at the women behind her. “Do not smear my son’s name and don’t talk so low about Asuna or Prince Loki ever again.” He put an arm around Asuna’s shoulder and walked her away from the situation.
“I’m sorry they were speaking such things. I couldn’t take them talking like that. I love Loki.” Odin nodded. “You do not speak of him in past tense. Though I wish he had not been killed.” Asuna seemed shocked by his words. “I can’t speak of my love for him in the past tense. I will never stop loving him, All-Father.” He nodded. “I’m not feeling so well. I hope you don’t mind but I think I will go to my chambers and sleep.” Odin nodded. “Sleep well.” With that she walked down the hall to her chambers as Odin went to his.
Once in her chambers she changed and went right to sleep.
Once Odin was in his chambers, he changed to Loki. “Hmm, my love isn’t feeling well. Maybe in the morning, if she still isn’t feeling well, I will suggest she see one of the healers. I don’t want to lose her…even if she doesn’t know I’m here.” Loki changed and went to bed to sleep, hoping his love would be alright by morning.
They both had dreams so real of the past and the future they could have, or rather could have had, depending on which of them you asked.
Asuna woke up crying, and feeling like she was going to throw up. She ran to the bathroom and threw up. She groaned out loud. “By the All-Father, what has gotten into me? Before she knew it she was throwing up again. After she was done she washed her mouth out. She went and changed into something simple, with her comfest shoes. She walked out of her room and made her way to where she and Odin would have breakfast.
Odin was already sitting there, “How are you feeling this morning?” She looked away from the food, she smelled it and ran to the nearest bathroom. Odin raised an eyebrow. He got up and walked to the bathroom that Asuna went into. He patiently waited for her to come out, to be real though since it was actually Loki and he loved Asuna more than anything he wanted to go to her and comfort her and ask her what was going on. Once she did she was surprised to see him there. “I’m guessing you’re not feeling any better.” She shook her head slowly. “ That is the third time this morning that I threw up, and I’m feeling a little dizzy right now.” She started to sink to the floor but Odin caught her. “Guard! Take Asuna to the healers. Now!”
A guard came and carried Asuna to the healers while Odin followed behind. Once there the guard placid her on the healers table. The healer asked her a few questions, like how long she had been sick, and how long she hadn't been feeling good in general. She said for a least two weeks. The healer asked Odin to leave, “I am king, why should I leave?” Loki, as Odin, wanted to know what was going on with the woman he loved. “It’s alright. I am staying in the palace and he has the right to know what is going on with one of his citizens.” The healer shook her head. “Fine, we just want to do at least a blood test since you are staying, All-Father.”
After a few minutes they got the results, “Congratulations, my lady! You are pregnant.” Asuna was in complete shock, and after a few moments of letting the news sink in, she started to cry. “Oh no…” The healer looked at Odin, who was also at a loss and shocked. Not sure if it is because she was pregnant or because of something else entirely. “The father is dead….Prince Loki is the father.” The healer was taken aback. “I must go.” Odin said and left. Asuna not long after left and went to her chambers.
Loki went to his chambers, Odin’s chambers, and used his powers to throw the furniture, much like he did in his cell when he found out his mother was murdered. “She is pregnant! And with my child…” Loki was lost. He was Odin now and didn’t know how to be a father. He didn’t want to be anything like his father, Laufey, who had abandoned him, nor like Odin who kept the truth from him and didn’t seem to actually care about him at all. And how was he supposed to be a father when he was pretending to be Odin… He sighed, maybe it was time to tell Asuna the truth. She needed him and she thought he was dead.
He went to her room and heard her sobbing. He knocked on the door gently. “I’m sorry but I want to be alone right now.” Odin looked around before disappearing from in front of her door to being in the room with her. “What the! I said I wanted to be alone, All-Father. Please understand.” Odin shook his head. “I have something I need to tell you, Asuna.” She sighed, “Please make it quick. I need to rest my body.” Odin again shook his head before he let the illusion drop and there stood Loki. “This isn’t a funny joke!” She yelled. He put a hand over her mouth, “It’s really me, my love. I’m so sorry.” She was crying harder now. Loki pulled her into his embrace, engulfing her small frame with his larger one, kissing the top of her head. “Everything will be alright. We will get through this.” He felt her shake her head, “But how? When your Odin… why are you Odin? And where is he?” Loki looked away, “He is safe. I promise.” She pushed him again, “I didn’t think you could go this far just to be king.” She started to walk away. “I wanted to be king and I found a way to do it.”
“Loki… what happened to you? Is being king all you ever wanted? Nothing else?” Loki looked at her. “Odin made me believe that I would be king-” She cut him off, “That isn’t what I asked. Do you really want to be king, Loki? All the responsibility? And now with a baby on the way…?” She put her hand on her belly. Loki looked down at where her hand rested on her belly. “You don’t understand. I want to be king, Asuna. Thor doesn’t want to be king, he doesn’t want to be here. This is my destiny.” She turned away from him. “And so is your unborn child.” Loki sighed and turned her around, “I will be a father to the baby. You have my heart, Asuna. But I’m not giving up being king. And please don’t make me give it up, my love.” Asuna wanted to cry, but it wasn’t going to change anything. “I do not approve of this at all. I’m not happy with this at all. I don’t want to be a part of this.” Loki turned to leave, she grabbed his hand in hers. “But you have my heart. And you are the father of our baby. Just tell me one thing, Odin is alive and safe.” Loki nodded, “He is on Midgard.” Asuna shook her head, “Not really safe but alright.”
A month later and Asuna was dealing with morning sickness and tiredness. Loki stayed by her side when he could, he almost shirked all his duties to stay close to Asuna while she was sick for the first month, and the next two months. But Asuna told him he had to keep up the appearance. He agreed as long as Asuna was made his advisor and allowed to be by his side at all times during any times he needed to be at meetings. Asuna was trying her best to keep a good head on Loki and make him the good king she knew he could be.
By her second trimester, her boobs were swollen and so was her belly. She was showing a little larger than she should be. Loki was worried now, remembering that the baby would be half Jotun. “I just…” Loki and Asuna were in bed together, they had just made love and he was laying between her legs and giving love to their unborn child. Asuna running her fingers through his long hair. “Voice your fears, my heart.” He sighed, “I know the baby will be half Jotun, and I’m afraid of what he or she will look like.” Asuna keeps brushing her fingers through his hair. “I will love our baby either way, love.” Loki was still worried.
In the last month of Asuna’s pregnancy, she was sleeping when she woke up suddenly, she grabbed Loki by accident. “Darling, what’s wrong? Is the baby coming?” She was breathing evenly. “No, but the baby turned.” Loki smiled, knowing that the baby was getting ready to be born. He had gotten used to the idea of his child being half Jotun. Asuna had to convince him he wasn’t a monster and that she would love their child no matter what. “Go back to sleep, my love.” Asuna lays back down and Loki pulls her to him, back to chest, with a protective arm over her belly, and a hand feeling their baby move inside her. He rubbed circles on her belly and whispered to it, “Come now, my little one, be easy on your mother. She needs to sleep.” Soon the baby settled down and they all fell asleep.
As the months of her pregnancy had progressed, they had told the entire kingdom that the unborn growing in Asuna’s belly was the late Prince Loki’s baby. Odin would spend time with her as the grandfather of the baby, and nobody ever knew that Loki would spend time with her behind closed doors as her love and father of her baby.
When the time came, Loki as Odin, couldn’t be in the healer's rooms to be with Asuna to deliver. But after it was over they let Odin in so he could see his ‘grandchild’. It wasn’t a tough delivery, the labor was the longest part. The delivery was quite fast, and Asuna was a tough woman that didn’t give up. “It is a girl, All-Father.” He smiled and went over to Asuna. “I’m too tired to think of a name for my daughter.” Asuna started to cry and Odin was taken aback. “I wish Loki was here to see his daughter.” Odin understood, well Loki understood, she had to make it seem like she was upset over this. Upset that her daughter’s father wasn’t there to see her. Odin brushed the tiny baby girl’s soft head with his hand, he could see some tufts of black hair already. He also noted the pale blue skin that she had, light ridges… He took a breath and smiled at the baby girl. “I think she will look just like her father.” Odin said, Asuna nodded. “I’ll have a part of him forever with me.” Odin smiled at her.
A few days later, Loki was in Asuna’s room with his daughter in his arms. “You are a wonderful father, my love. I’m glad we had her. And I know it’s been difficult for you with her looking as she does, but I want you to know I love her either way.” Loki looked at Asuna and then kissed his daughter’s head, “Yes, I know. But I love her too. I’ll move past it before too long. I’m glad you had her too.” He walked over to her and kissed her cheek, “And with everything I’ve done… I’m glad you still let me have your heart.” Asuna smiled and kissed his lips softly. “I wouldn’t be a good woman if I didn’t stay by your side. Support you, and tell you when you are doing something wrong.” Loki chuckled at that. “I’m sure I won’t be king for much longer. Thor will come back eventually and figure out it’s me.” While Loki held his daughter and bounced her up and down gently, Asuna kissed her head and ran her hand over it. She began to sing softly. Loki smiled and felt blessed. “So what she we name her?” Asuna smiled. “I was thinking Unn.” Loki smiled at her, “Unn it is, my love.”
A year later, there were rumors that the child was Odin’s since he was found around her very often, but they let everyone know that it was just Odin’s granddaughter. “Loki…” He rolled over in the bed they shared in the last several months. He would go to her room when nobody was looking. “What is it, love?” He sat up and looked over at his daughter’s crib. Getting up and going to her, she was whimpering, picking her up and took her to her mother. “Thank you, my love.” She took the baby and got some of the fruits she had on the nightstand and gave them to her. Asuna smiled and so did Loki.
“My love, your brother hasn’t come back. It has been over a year.” Loki shook his head, “Don’t force me.” He got up, changed into Odin and left the room. Asuna looked down at Unn, “Your daddy has and will always have my heart, my sweet little love, but I wish we were good enough that we were all he needed in life.” Asuna sighed and put Unn back in her crib and rocked her to sleep in it until she drifted off. Asuna went to her bed and slept a little more, she wasn’t very happy at the moment.
Loki heard what she said. He wasn’t mad…he understood honestly. But he was told from a young age that he was meant to be a king. He refused to be a king on Jotunheim, he wanted to be a king on Asgard. He was lied to his entire life. Well that wasn’t entirely true. He wasn’t lied to in a certain sense. He, again, wanted to be king of Asgard as he thought he would have been, not of frost giants that he hated and wanted to kill at one point. Then he thought of his daughter, Unn, and that melted quickly, the hate. And then he thought of Asuna. What did she want from him…? He knew what she wanted, truthfully. To be a family. But it didn’t matter if Thor came back, what would happen? He wouldn’t take the throne. Thor would force him to go take him to Odin and then Loki would be punished again and never see his family again. He shook his head and walked off. There was no way he would give up everything now. Not the throne and not his family…. His beautiful love, his beautiful daughter. This would do for now.
Two years later. Their daughter was growing into a beautiful little girl. Thor still hasn’t come back. Asuna didn’t press ever again. She loved Loki and Unn too much to keep pushing him away. But she wasn’t happy with Loki still, at least not about what he did to Odin. Just to be king… She finally figured out what it was, she was in love with the idea of what Loki used to be. If she truly loved him she would love who he was now. So she spent time with him as Odin and as Loki. Getting to know him much better than before. And she found she really did love Loki as he was. She sighed, “I’m in love with an insane man.” She shook her head. “What mommy?” Asuna looked down at Unn. “Nothing, my little love. Let’s go to dinner.” And with that they went to dinner with Odin.
“My love…I’m sorry.” Loki told her. “For what?” Asuna was confused. They were in bed together and he was holding her after they had just made love. He buried his face into her neck. “For everything. You have my heart and so does our daughter. You’re both enough for me. But you need to understand I don’t want to leave Asgard unprotected. I don’t want to never see you or Unn again.” He pulled her to him tightly, not ever wanting to let her go. He felt her breathe out a sigh as she nodded. She kissed his temple. “You have my heart, Loki.” She could feel his smile on her skin, the side of her neck where his face was buried. “You have my heart, Asuna.”
Two more years later, Loki was lounging about while watching a play of what happened during his death. He was still pretending to be Odin. He understood why Asuna didn’t want to be there. Also she seemed so tired lately. He told her to go to the healer. In the back of his mind…he knew most likely she was pregnant again, but this time it would be an issue. He was dead to everyone. They would come to the conclusion that either Odin had impregnated his son’s love or Loki was alive and pretending to be Odin. He couldn’t have that. He couldn’t have people think she was a whore either, he would get mad…go mad…start hurting people to protect her honor. Which was something he didn’t want. He wanted to keep Asuna and Unn as happy as he could. He loved them, they were his everything.
Loki, as Odin, watched as Asuna walked up to him. “Aye.” Was all she said as she leaned down and then walked behind him. He didn’t curse out loud. He wasn’t unhappy that his love was pregnant with their second child, but he didn’t want to deal with the outcome of others finding out the truth of him.
Asuna looked around, sensing something and saw Thor. She leaned down, but it was too late. Odin spotted Thor. Thor was chatting with Odin until Thor threw his hammer and caught Odin by the back of his neck and forced him in front of him. “Oh no…” Asuna breathed out. The guards looked like they were ready to attack, but as the hammer came back Odin changed into Loki and Asuna ran to his side. Thor caught his hammer before it could hurt either of them. He watched as a little girl went over to Asuna.
“Where is father, Loki?” Loki wouldn’t answer until Thor backed him up to the couch that Loki had been lounging on minutes ago as Odin and put his hammer on his chest. “I know where he is.”
With that, Asuna wasn’t staying away from Loki, they all went to Midgard to get Odin. She thought maybe if he saw his granddaughter he might go easy on Loki. They were dressed in Midgardian clothes, standing outside a building that was being destroyed. Loki had his arm around Asuna while holding Unn’s hand. “I swear I left him right here.” Thor didn’t look pleased at all. “Right here on the sidewalk or right there where the building is being demolished? Great planning.” Thor said. “How was I supposed to know? I can’t see into the future. I’m not a witch.” Asuna giggled, she was a witch, and smiled. “Why do you dress like one?” Asuna and Unn laughed, Loki glared at his love and daughter, playfully of course. “I can’t believe you’re alive. I mourned for you. And you have a daughter.” Loki looked away for a moment, “Actually you’re going to be an uncle again.” Thor looked shocked. “I told Loki just before you found out he was pretending to be Odin.” Some girls came up and asked Thor for a picture. Loki rolled his eyes and Asuna kissed his cheek. “You’re my hero, love.” The girls seemed shocked that Loki has a young woman and a child by his side. Before Loki disappeared into the ground. “Loki!”
Thor picked up the card on the ground and they made their way to the address. Thor carrying Unn since Asuna herself was pregnant and Thor didn’t want her to stress her body out.
They went into the building and were met by a strange man floating in the air. “You stay here, you and your daughter will be safe.” The strange man went away with Thor.
Not long after and quite suddenly they were back down where she was. The strange man was making what looked like a portal. “Wow…”
“Don’t forget your umbrella.” Thor summoned his hammer. “And my brother.” Loki fell to the floor. “I have been falling for thirty minutes.” Asuna rushed to him and helped him up. Loki pushed her back a little as he made his daggers appear and was about to attack when the strange man made the portal that he has made come at them so they were forced to go through it.
Loki fell again and again Asuna helped him up, Unn running to him. Loki picked his daughter up in his arms and held her close. They all looked to see Odin at the cliffside watching the sea. Asuna watched her love and brother go to their father to talk. “Who is this daddy? He looks like you used to when you used your magic.” Unn asked, Loki looked and felt so guilty. “It’s your grandfather, my little love.” Unn was picked up by Odin and he hugged her, she still looked like a Jotun, half Jotun actually. “We have another baby on the way.” Asuna told him as she came to sit beside Loki. Odin could only nod, before he turned to gold dust and went into the wind.
Loki and Thor stood up and watched their father go. Thor looked at Loki, he was pissed. Asuna grabbed her daughter in her arms, worried what Thor might do but knew he would never ever hurt them. Loki was about to try and calm Thor down. “My love, Thor…I sense something…” Loki nodded, he summoned for the Bifrost to be opened. “Go. We will follow you.” Asuna shook her head. “I have a bad feeling…a horrible feeling, my love.” Loki nodded again, “Pack what you can. Hide somewhere safe. Maybe find Heimdall, my love. He will help you and our daughter.” She nodded this time. The Bifrost opened and up Asuna and their daughter went. “I hope they will be safe.” Thor told him, no matter his feelings toward Loki at the moment, Asuna was his sister and Unn his niece, with Asuna being pregnant again he wanted them as safe as Loki did. “I know they will be. Asuna is a fighter, she is just as good as me with magic, if not more. And with our daughter and unborn child she won’t let anything happen at all.” Thor was about to say something else to Loki but a portal showed up.
Once Asuna was back on Asgard she ran with her daughter in her arms to the palace to her room, and packed anything she and her daughter would be. “Come on, my little love, we need to try and find Heimdall. Something terrible is coming to Asgard.” Once she had whatever they needed packed she ran to Loki’s old room to see if there was anything there she needed to pack, which there were a few things, they then left the palace and made their way to the forest, searching for Heimdall.
Eventually, they all found each other, Heimdall was looking for her to make sure she and Unn were safe. “Odin is dead.” Was all Heimdall said. Asuna nodded, “Yes and someone is on their way here, she was released upon his death.” Heimdall nodded this time, and led Asuna and Unn to somewhere they would be safe.
“Heimdall, please let me apologize for Loki’s behavior. I truly tried to change his mind so many different times, but he wouldn’t be persuaded.” He waved the apology away, “I understand it wasn’t your fault. At least you tried, you also kept everything from falling apart as best you could. Trying to keep Loki on the better side of things instead of full chaos.” Once they got to the safe place, Heimdall picked up Unn who wanted to be picked up. “She is the future of Asgard, I will protect her with my life.” Asuna bowed her head in respect. “I’m sure you know I’m pregnant again.” Heimdall nodded.
After a few days and a gathering of a large number of Asgardians, Heimdall turned to the doors. “She’s here.” Asuna was terrified for her life. For her daughter’s life. “Loki…” She whispered and put a hand to her belly. Heimdall helped everyone escape, everyone making their way to the Bifrost.
Once on the rainbow bridge, they noticed the giant wolf, Fenrir (I know that isn’t his name in the MCU), at the end. “Turn back!” Heimdall told them, but the undead soldiers were coming at them from the other end. Asuna noticed a spacecraft was shooting at Fenrir. “Maybe there is hope after all.” She could sense Thor in the palace, he must be fighting Hela.
Fenrir was running at them again and Heimdall was prepared to fight it with his sword. Suddenly a man fell down onto the rainbow bridge. Fenrir almost reached them but a green monster caught it and started to fight the giant wolf. “Hulk…” Asuna was surprised to see him after all these years. She hadn’t seen him since Loki tried to take over all of Midgard.
Suddenly a rock alien saved a few people. “We are gonna get on that spaceship, y’all want to come?” He asked, and out of the mist was a spaceship. “Your savior is here!” Loki announced. “Loki!” Asuna screamed for him, once the spaceship was close enough Loki got off and went to Asuna and Unn. He engulfed them in a warm embrace, burying his face in Asuna’s neck to make sure she was real and there. “You’re both safe and alive.” Asuna smiled, “Yes, my love, all three of us are fine.” Loki nodded, he didn’t want to let her go but he knew he had to. “Get on the spaceship now. I want you to remain safe.” Asuna nodded and took Unn to get on the spaceship.
Loki started to fight the army of the undead, he truly had something to fight for. He wanted his beloved safe, his daughter and unborn child safe as well. He wanted nothing more than to protect his family. He let that hit him, he had his own family to protect and fight for. He never thought he would have a family. But now wasn’t the time to dwell on it, he had to go fight. His last thought was that it was truly time for him to change for the better. He was completely in love, love for Asuna and his family. He would be better for Asuna, for his family.
While on the spaceship, Asuna could hear all the fighting going on outside and held her daughter safely to her. Suddenly she felt the spaceship move like it was leaving. She wanted to cry… She wanted…no needed Loki, but she knew more than anything no matter what, he would want her and their children to be safe. But suddenly the spaceship stopped. Asuna fell to her knees, she didn’t know what was going on, she was on a different part of the ship than the rest. But she heard something going on, more fighting.
As they were moving, Asuna found a window and saw what was going on. But she didn’t see Loki anywhere. She watched as Hulk picked up Thor and Valkyrie. She saw Hela fighting Surtur. They all saw the fall of Asgard, but never saw Loki. Asuna almost started to cry when Loki found her, ran to her and hugged her and their daughter tightly to him. “I’m alive, my love.” Asuna was so happy she cried anyway. “Come, we must go to the others. Well you need to. I have to find my brother.” Loki left, while Asuna and Unn went to the others. She went to Heimdall, “Thank you.” He bowed his head.
Not long after Thor was walking through the crowd to sit on a seat that would, to anyone, look like a throne. Loki moved to stand close and Asuna went to Loki. He put his arm around her waist. “So where to?” Loki asked Thor. “Earth.”
Later that night, she was with Thor and Loki, while Unn slept, listening to them talk. “Do you really think it’s a good idea for me to go back to Earth?” They all laughed. Asuna grabbed his hand, “It will be fine, my love. Maybe we can finally get married.” At that Loki went a bit pale and Thor laughed until he went pale as well. A dark shadow going over them. “What is that?” Asuna asked.
Before anyone could do anything the spaceship was blasted. Asuna trying to make a run for Unn and Loki trying to shield them both. Asuna took Unn and hid, while Loki and Thor had to deal with the alien force that just blasted the spaceship they were on.
Loki knew who this was. “Give me the tesseract. Or your brother’s life.” The big dumb purple asshole said. He held his hand with a gauntlet that had a purple stone in it. “Kill him.” Asuna was about to run out but she knew she couldn’t. She was pregnant and she couldn’t risk their baby’s life. Loki didn’t let it last for long, the pain that the big purple asshole was putting Thor through. “Alright, stop!” Loki yelled. “We don’t have the tesseract. It was destroyed on Asgard.” Thor told the big purple asshole.
Loki made the tesseract appear in his hand. “You really are the worst, brother.” The big purple asshole made a comment. “For one thing, I’m not Asgardian and for another we have a Hulk.” Hulk came out of nowhere and started fighting the big purple asshole. Loki grabbed Thor and moved him.
Thor grabbed a pipe and hit the big purple asshole with it, but he was put in a metal hold. Heimdall sent Hulk to Earth. Before the Bifrost closed, Loki grabbed Asuna and Unn and pushed them into it. “No!” Asuna screamed trying to reach for Loki but it was too late. She was going to Midgard, one arm around her daughter holding her as close as possible.
Big purple asshole went over to Heimdall and killed him. Thor yelled, “No!” As well, but more of Heimdall than his sister getting away to safety, he wanted her and his niece and the unborn baby to be as safe as they could be, just like Loki. “You’re going to die for that.” Thor threatened before a metal muzzle was put on him.
The big purple asshole told his followers to got to Earth to get the other two stones he needed. Loki came out of hiding and offered to be a guide, trying to save his own life, but also trying to get to Midgard to his family. “Almight Thanos…I, Loki, prince of Asgard…Odinson…the rightful king of Jotunheim…God of Mischief…do hereby pledge to you…my undying fidelity.” Loki said just before he tried to plunge his dagger into the big purple asshole’s throat but Loki was stopped by the power of one of the stones. “Undying?” You should have chosen your words more carefully.” The big purple asshole takes Loki by the throat and strangles him to death. “You will never…be..a…god…” Loki manages to get out before he was killed. “No coming back this time.” Thor had clarity at that moment that he was the one that was controlling Loki the entire time.
The big purple asshole threw Loni’s body down in front of Thor. The metal holding him was removed and he crawled to Loki’s body. “I’ll find a way to Midgard, brother. I’ll take care of Asuna and your children. I swear.” Thor started to get up when, “That’s very sweet of you brother.” Thor stood up so fast and turned to see Loki. “I perfected it as much as I could just in case. I don’t plan on dying on my family. I want to marry Asuna and see my child be born, and watch both of my children grow up.” Thor hugged Loki, just before the spaceship blew up. Before too long they landed on another spaceship.
In the Bifrost, Asuna had no idea where she was going, just that Hulk was ahead of her. She held Unn tightly to her, as Hulk crashed through a building’s roof and landed in said building and Asuna right after. She tried to land gracefully, floating down and then to the floor in front of the stairs that Hulk had landed. She recognized where she was. She had been there before. She suddenly saw the man she had met before. “Strange.” He stood up completely, he had crouched down when Hulk busted through the roof and landed in the floor, and looked in Asuna’s direction. “Ms. Asuna.” She started to cry. “Why are you here?” She shook her head, “Heimdall used the Bifrost to send Hulk here and Loki pushed me and our daughter in too. There is an alien with unlimited power making his way here.” She told him.
Later she was with Tony and Bruce while getting a history lesson on the stones. She shook her head. “Listen, I want to help you, but I have to protect my daughter and my unborn child.” Tony looked stunned, “Hold on, you bred with Loki? Twice?” Asuna glared at him. “For all I know my beloved is dead. So if it is of any concern, I want to leave. I want to go to where Odin was, Strange.” Strange nodded, he made the portal and sent Asuna and her daughter through.
Once in Norway, she was by a cliff and knelt down. Her daughter doing the same thing. “I pray that your father will be alright.” Asuna really hoped for the best. She couldn’t afford to stress because she didn’t want to lose the baby. She sighed, “This is our home now, my little love.” Unn nodded at her mother, “It will be okay, mammy.” Asuna smiled. She loved how much her daughter looked like Loki. She put a hand on her barely yet visible belly, “I hope I have a boy. I want him to look just like your father. In every single way. Blue or not.” She laughed at Unn’s confusion. “Well, my little love, you are half Asgardian, half Jotun. You are a light blue because of your Jotun blood, you got that from your daddy. I don’t know much about Jotuns, I’m pretty sure your daddy doesn’t know much either since he was raised as a prince in the palace.” Honestly all she wanted to do was cry. She didn’t know if she had lost Loki or not, and she knew she may never know.
“Alright, my little love, let’s head to the woods, and make us a home.” Unn nodded and they were making their way to the nearest forest to make a house. She made a beautiful cabin with the help of her magic and no it didn’t stress her body at all, the baby is perfectly fine.
A few days later in the middle of a battle in Wakanda, Thor showed up with Groot, Rocket and Loki. White they were fighting Loki was trying to keep his mind on the battle. He knew he shouldn’t but he asked some of the Avengers if they knew where Asuna was. They all glared at him, but said they hadn’t seen her. He knew the reason for the glares and hoped to change that in some way sometime. “Do not worry, brother, we will find her. I promise. She is alright, I just know it.” Thor told him, knowing it was hard for Loki to focus when all he wanted was Asuna and his family. Thor himself wanted to see that his sister was alright. It was Asuna alone that he stayed here, so that he could make the whole universe safe for her and their children.
Meanwhile in a forest in Norway, Asuna was teaching her daughter how to use magic. Not too high a level of magic, Unn was just a beginner after all, and Asuna didn’t want to stress her body out with much more advanced spells. She was still mourning over Loki. “That’s very good, my little love.” She smiled at her daughter, so proud that she had the ability to use magic, much like herself and Loki.
Meanwhile, Loki found out the big purple asshole was there and did what he could to find Asuna. The only place he could think of was Norway. He made his way there to find his family.
Thor went after the big purple asshole and put his ax hammer in his chest. “You should have gone for the head.” The big purple asshole snapped his fingers and was gone.
Slowly people started to disappear.
Finally Loki found his beloved and Unn…but their daughter started to disappear into dust. “NO!” Asuna screamed out. Loki tried to grab Unn before she was completely gone. “He will pay with his life.” Loki turned to Asuna who was so pale. “Asuna, my love, no stress… I will get her back.” Loki pulled Asuna to him in a tight embrace, as she sobbed her heart out. “Shh, my love, everything will be fine. But you can’t let anything stress you out, think of our unborn child, please, my love.” He rubbed her back to comfort her as best he could. “Thor and I will get her back, I swear it.” Asuna nodded. Loki picked her up and took her into the cabin, that he was impressed with knowing that Asuna used magic to build it and there were spells on the inside to make it bigger than it looked on the outside. He put her down on the couch in the living room and held her. After a few moments he pulled her into his lap and held her as tightly as he could, hoping she didn’t disappear as well, nor their unborn baby. He kissed the side of her temple and let her keep crying. “I want to tell you one thing, I know she isn’t dead, my love. That I can feel.” Asuna pulled away a little, “You are absolutely sure?” Loki nodded, “Yes my love. I would know.” That alone comforted Asuna greatly, she put a hand to her belly and Loki did the same. “You still feel the baby?” Loki asked. “Yes, I do. I am still pregnant.” Loki kissed her lips tenderly. “Good.”
A few days later, Asuna was put on bed rest by Loki because he didn’t want her to keep stressing out and lose their unborn baby. Thor came to their home to find out his niece was snapped away like many others. “I won’t rest until I get her back. Loki, you are to stay here with Asuna. You can’t leave her while she is pregnant right now. She will stress about you and could put herself in danger.” Loki wanted to protest, it was his daughter Thor would be going after to try and get back, but Thor had a point. He needed to stay with Asuna right now. Keep her safe and be there for her. “Fine. But I want updates.” Thor nodded, “Of course.” With that, and a goodbye and a promise to Asuna he was on his way to try and get Unn back, and the rest of the 50% that was snapped away.
Within a few days, they did get an update from Thor, the big purple asshole was killed but Thor himself cutting off his head…sadly the asshole had used the stones to get rid of the stones. Asuna was absolutely depressed for days. Loki did his best to keep her calm and stress free. He comforted her as best he could, telling her their daughter was still alive and that she would come back to them. Their family would be whole again.
Three months later, when Asuna was five and a half months pregnant, she was still upset but she was trying to keep her mind on Loki and the baby. Loki was laying in bed with her and talking to the baby in her belly and rubbing and kissing her belly as well. “I love you little one. You and your mama. I’m going to keep you safe forever.” Asuna noticed that Loki looked like he was about to cry. He was always so strong for her. She ran her fingers through his hair, “You can cry, my love. I know you need to grieve too. Please, my love, cry.” And he did, he held her baby bump and cried so much as she comforted him this time by brushing her hand over his hair. “I’ve been…” He started and then looked up at her, “I’ve been thinking that we hold off on the wedding until our daughter is back, and everyone we love can be there.” Asuna nodded.
Well a few more months later, they had a baby boy. He also came out blue like his big sister, and a darker blue then she had been. Asuna smiled down at him. Loki hadn’t been in the room when his daughter was born but he was for his son. He hadn’t seen his daughter birthed, and it was a different feeling seeing his son birthed and come out blue like his Jotun form. He took in a deep breath. He loved both his children, more than anything, but it was hard to see them in their Jotun forms. “My love, it is perfectly fine.” Asuna noticed Loki’s face. She shook his head, “What should we name him?” Asuna thought for a moment, “Should we name him after your father?” Loki shook his head, “I don’t think that would be best. We both know I wasn’t much of a good son, especially in the last few years. All the horrible things I did..to Odin and the rest of my family…” Asuna knew he was thinking of his mother, she grabbed his hand weakly while she held their son. “Shh, my love. It’s okay.”
Over the next five years, Asuna mourned the loss of Unn, on the anniversary of the snap. She usually laid in bed all day and didn’t leave it. Loki took the day to take care of their son, Destin. He let his love be selfish, he knew the pain she was going through. He mourned in his own way, but he knew that she had carried Unn and that was a bond he didn’t have with his daughter. He knew that he didn’t have as much time as he had wanted with Unn either. And when his baby girl came back he would never leave her alone.
Asuna and Loki would tell Destin stories about his big sister, so he would know all about her and she would live in his heart. They would use their magic to project scenes for him to watch or put pictures in his head to see what his big sister looked like. He was a very happy baby to a happy child.
Everyone lived their lives as best as they could. Loki came into Asuna and his bedroom. “My love…The Avengers are gonna try and get everyone back.” He saw her nod her head from under the covers. “Promise me that when they do, we’ll get married and have another baby.” Loki smiled and came to sit on the bed with their son running into the room and putting his head under the covers. Loki laughed again when he saw Asuna’s arms come out from under the covers and grab their son and pull him under the covers with her. “Yes, we will, my love. I promise. I just want you to be so happy. You have my heart.” Asuna smiled under the covers though Loki could not see it. “Thank you, my love. You have my heart. This is the most hope I have had in the last five years.”
Within those five years, Thor had come to visit as much as he could. At least once a month. He wanted to see his nephew and make sure his brother and sister were okay. He still cared about his brother and family. And he wanted to make sure that Asuna was happy. Thor was the one that told Loki about the attempt they were going to make to get everyone back. Thor didn’t tell Loki more than that on his latest visit, he had to go, he had to right the wrong he made. But nobody blamed him, not even Asuna.
“I’m so worried about him. I didn’t know he was in such bad condition.” Asuna told Loki, who shook his head. “Neither did I. I’m surprised…I didn’t know that Asgardians could get fat.” Asuna laughed. This conversation happening because Thor hadn’t been around in the last few months. “Be nice to your brother. And don’t insult me.” Loki pulled her into a hug, “I wasn’t insulting you, my love.” He leaned down and kissed her. “I can’t wait to have her back. I want our daughter in my arms more than anything. Are you excited, sweetie?” Destin nodded his head. He had never truly met his sister other than the pictures his parents had shown him in his head and projected stories. “You could have gone with them, my love. I would have been fine staying here with our son waiting for our daughter to return.” Loki shook his head, “I want to be right here with you. Besides who knows what they may face in the past. I know I’ll be in one of those. I know for sure that some of them have to go back to when I was first captured and that wouldn’t help. Another they have to go to Asgard where I am in a cell. I wouldn’t be of any help.” Asuna nodded, remembering all those times very well. “I remember. The day the Avengers defeated you. Us…in your cell.” Loki paled for a moment and looked away, then looked back at her. They got up and Loki put his arms around Asuna’s waist as they walked to the kitchen. They needed to make dinner.
Thor was on a call with Loki letting him know that everyone but Nat had come back. And that they were putting the stones on something to bring everyone back. Loki told Asuna and she was crying with happiness. “I hope it works. Come let’s wait outside where out daughter disappeared.” Loki nodded and went out with Asuna and their son.
They waited and before too long their daughter showed up. She ran to her parents. “My little love!” Asuna hugged her tightly, Loki hugged Asuna and their son while hugging their daughter. “I’m so happy you’re home.” Their daughter was crying, “Mammy! Daddy!”
They introduced their daughter to her little brother, who was the same age as her. They looked like they could be twins. Loki brushed his hand through his daughter’s hair, “I’m so happy to have you home, my little princess.” She smiled from her spot in her father’s lap. “Me too. It was scary. I was lost and I didn’t know what was going on. And I cried a lot because I didn’t have you and mammy. I’m sorry, daddy, that I wasn’t brave enough.” Loki shook his head and hugged his daughter in a tight embrace, not wanting to let her go, wanting to make sure she would never disappear like that again, and if so he would go with her. “You did perfectly fine, my little princess, I love you.” Unn had the biggest smile on her face. “I love you too, daddy.” She got off her father’s lap, much to his displeasure, and took her brother’s hand, going outside to play. Asuna watching them through the window.
“My love, she isn’t going anywhere again. She needs to spend time with her brother.” Loki nodded, “I know you are right, but the pain we both felt with her disappearing and being gone for five years…I can’t. I can’t have you go through that again and I can’t myself.” Asuna nodded at him and came to sit on his lap. “I know but I have faith.” Loki wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her passionately, and she smiled into the kiss, returning it with all the passionate love she had for him.
Suddenly a portal opened up and Strange came through. “We could really use your help. Your children will be safe.” Asuna was a little hesitant since since she just got her daughter back, she didn't want to leave Unn or Destin alone, but nodded. “Kids! We’ll be back. Behave and stay in the house!” They went through the portal when Unn and Destin came into the house where they were protected.
“This is weird.” Loki and Asuna stood in a ready to kick ass stance and were ready to fight with all the magic they needed. Anything to protect their children and each other. Soon everyone was running towards the target, which was an army of aliens that was commanded by the big purple asshole. “Do me a favor, my love, and do not die again!” They were both using their magic to take out some aliens here and there, helping others where needed. Asuna was really taking in all of the insanity going on. Wanda went after the big purple asshole herself. Suddenly a woman with powerful light around her took out the big purple asshole’s spaceship.
Everyone was still trying to keep the gauntlet away from the big purple asshole. Ironman went after him. The big purple asshole snapped his fingers and nothing happened because Tony had gotten the stones. “I…am…Ironman.” And with that Tony snapped his fingers and the big purple asshole and his army turned to dust disappearing.
Tony looked so pale. Pepper went to him. “We’re gonna be okay. You can rest now.” Pepper cried as Tony died, along with many others that were there. They knelt to the ground in honor of Tony, bowing their heads. Including Asuna and even Loki, Asuna took Loki’s hand, knowing full well that even though that Loki and Tony never had a good moment, Loki would never have wanted Tony to die. The man had a daughter, Loki would be devastated if he ended up dying and leaving his son and daughter. Once people started going home, Asuna went to Pepper, “If you need anything at all, please let us know. I know Loki wasn’t kind to Tony but he wouldn’t have wanted him to pass, not while he has a little girl.” Pepper nodded, Asuna had tears in her eyes and she pulled Pepper into a hug, Pepper hugging her back.
Everyone went home to be with their loved ones, after five years of being away from them. Loki and Asuna went to see their kids and hugged them tightly. Not wanting to let them go. Loki then hugged Asuna tightly and kissed her temple. “I never want to lose you. I’ll be the man you deserve, my love.” Asuna kissed Loki passionately. “You have my heart, my love.” Loki smiled, “You have my heart, my queen.” Asuna laughed and smiled, kissing her love again.
A few days later, dressed in all black, Asuna, Loki, Unn and Destin, all went to Tony’s funeral. Most didn’t understand why Loki was even there but didn’t say out loud their thoughts. Everyone was there who survived. Even the Guardians of the Galaxy, what was left of them. Loki and Asuna kept the kids close and held their hands. Loki kissed Asuna’s temple. He truly didn’t want to lose her. Honestly, the real reason that Loki was here, without Tony and the other Avengers, he wouldn’t have Asuna now, and he knew that. They let him live to serve his punishment in Asgard, and that led to all the events with her. He knew he wasn’t the best man for many years there, but he knew the truth. Tony helped him get the love he always wanted, his best friend. So he’d pay his respects and behave. He knew he never wanted to lose Asuna this way, ever, nor her him.
They went home with Thor, only to find out Thor was leaving. “Brother.” Thor said. “I don’t want to rule…I just want to be happy with my family.” Thor nodded. Valkyrie was named ‘queen’. Asuna hugged Thor, “You had better check in! We are going to be getting married soon and hopefully growing our family soon too.” Thor did his usual greeting, hugging her and kissing her head. “I look forward to it, little sister.” He smiled and said goodbye to Loki and left on a spaceship with the Guardians.
Loki and Asuna walked with their kids to their home. It was getting late and they put the kids to bed. Asuna sighed, “I’m glad the world was saved. Happy everyone is back. But sad for Pepper.” She leaned on Loki, who wrapped an arm around her.” Me too. I can’t live without you and our children.” Asuna smiled at him, as he wrapped the other arm around her. “You have my heart, Loki, for always and eternity.” Loki smiled down at her. “You have my heart, Asuna, forever and eternity.” He kissed her so deeply. She returned the kiss. They went to their bedroom and made love.
After a year of getting the family in a better place, Loki and Asuna were finally getting married. They married in the woods just outside of their home. Their daughter and son by their side the entire time. Then they had a small party after with a few close friends, dancing and food. Asuna was nothing but smiles, Loki, she could see in his eyes he was the happiest man alive, but he wasn’t without his own smiles. They didn’t bother to go on a honeymoon since they had their children to look after.
A few days later, Asuna got the footage back of the wedding in a movie style and sent it to anyone who wanted to come but couldn’t , including to Thor on the spaceship he was on. He was happy to see the video. He hoped for more nieces and nephews in the future. He was happy for his brother. He was happy and that’s all Thor cared about for his brother. Adora was a much paler blue then her older siblings, had her mother’s hair but her father’s eyes.
Around the time their children were turning 7, they found out that Asuna was pregnant again. She would have another little girl, they named Adora, a little honor to her uncle Thor.
For a long time they were happy, they would go running through the flowers in spring, to the beach in the summer, watch the leaves change in fall and stay warm and cozy at home in winter. Asuna and Loki couldn’t be any happier with their three children.
Until one day another Loki showed up, dressed like the Loki from the 2012 Battle of New York holding the tesseract. “Well well well, Asuna. You are as beautiful as ever.” Asuna’s Loki came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. “Do the right thing, and you’ll have this too. Asuna is my wife and we have three beautiful children.” 2012 Loki let out a sigh and disappeared via tesseract. “Do you think he will do the right thing?” Asuna asked her husband. “I’m not sure my beautiful wife. Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. For now you and our children are my focus. I am happy.”
And he truly was, they both were.
They would see Thor again. Let him see Unn, Destin, and Adora. They would spend time as a family. Thor would go on his way for a long period of time but come back later with an adopted alien girl he saved. A big happy family.
A few years later, when their kids were close to teenagers, Asuna got pregnant again. She missed having a baby, this time it was a boy, named Leir. Loki was happy, like he never thought he ever would be. They were all so happy and lived happily ever after.
The End!
