if you are a disabled person of any severity and can make it through a grocery shopping trip, i am proud of you and look up to you. if you can't make it through a grocery shopping trip for whatever reason, pain, anxiety, psychosis, ADHD, autism, depression, memory or attention issues, fatigue, exhaustion, irritability, confusion, dissociation, or anything else, you have my condolences because i'm right there with you, that shit sucks ass. it's needlessly complicated and its something that abled people take for granted

of course disabled people cant go across the entire store to put an item back every time. of course disabled people may need help getting items from high or low places. of course disabled people will get lost even in labeled places because of object blindness, blindness/eye problems, bad attention span, anxiety, or other issues, of course there are who can't make it through the entire store without collapsing

these stores are designed to confuse customers and trap them inside for as long as possible to increase impulse spending, of course disabled people are going to struggle to navigate the store. i love you if you're disabled and can navigate the store, kudos to you, but i also love you if you can't. it's not easy and people take for granted how easy it is for them when others can't do it at all

It is part of the kaleidoscope of life that these feelings are not only happy, beautiful, or good but can reflect the entire range of human experience, including envy, jealousy, rage, disgust, greed, despair, and grief. But this freedom cannot be achieved if its childhood roots are cut off. i love and value all nonhumans deeply, but i just wanted to say that if you identify as nonhuman specifically due to psychosis & delusions: i love you so much. it doesn't make your nonhuman identity any less valid if it comes from delusions, psychotic episodes, or other features of your psychotic disorder. whether it comes and goes when symptoms flare and go into remission, or whether it's a constant, or somewhere in between or outside of that, you are loved. if your spirituality and religious beliefs also become involved, i love you.

psychosis will never make any part of your identity less valid. you are not incapable of knowing who you are because you are psychotic. delusional people are still allowed to define themselves in what terms make sense to them, and are allowed to be their own advocate and narrator. especially if that psychotic person identifies as nonhuman, that doesn't mean you should take that person any less serious. it is just a feature of some of our personalities due to our neurotypes, and it's alright. it's fine. it's normal.

whether you experience clinical lycanthropy or not, if your nonhuman identity is tied to your psychosis, i love you. take care of yourself, nonhumanity is a beautiful way to experience life. it's okay to be who you are

A friend once told me that when they are struggling with getting laundry done, she pretends it is her sworn duty to smuggle the young prince out of the castle to safety, disguised in a laundry hamper.

Now, when I am struggling with hygiene, I pretend I am part of a village with an annual festival, and I get one day a year to spend luxuriously at a bathhouse in preparation.

What my friend imparted on me was the skill of turning mundane tasks into fantastical adventures to make them more compelling and bearable.

So next time you need to go on a mental health walk, maybe consider doing reconnaissance for a secret underground organisation.

Next time cooking is too much of a chore, consider you ability to turn space station rations into a feast to the delight of your crewmates.
