point a
My stomach is full
Full of things to say, still
Tongues are useless
Not worth the burn
A dance for two, fire and fire
Its sweet allure
Leaves a bitter taste
Crushing my fingers, one by one
Bound by dread
Why build a sandcastle
Why use bones

I'm not gonna waste another beautiful flower,
On asking, if you love me or not,
'cause if you did you'd be here,
Not wandering around somewhere.

karma/fate?
was it Karma?
was it fate?
or was it
meant to be this way?

THE FIRST GREEN OF EVENING.
The first green of evening,
The colours fading with the light,
Sitting in the silence,
Waiting for the night.
Feeling somethings missing,
Something that I've lost,
Waiting for the darkness,
Arriving with its ghosts.
The loneliness of waiting,
For what I do not know,
So many missing hours,
Wherever did they go.
The first green of evening,
Fading with the day,
My thoughts, my dreams, my memories,
All gone so far away.

AS HARMONY REIGNS
As harmony reigns from the beginning
Nothing that exists is without meaning
The passage of time may dim a memory
Imprints from images allow a rediscovery
Of who we really are from our ancestry
Smell the flowers, but not only for sweet
With bitter taste, to mother nature, greet
Look to the heavens, and touch the sky
Hear laughter of children, playing nearby
Beasts, beauties, birds, bees, butterflies
Nature’s generosity in songs and lullabies
True perception reflects a decent mind
In adversities of fire, water and the wind
Compassion in spirit, in soul and heart
Stores imprints of creation from the start

Bring me your black eyes,
oh, all that never ending cries.
Darkness so deep ;
now a void that doesn't weep.
Bring me your black eyes,
staring at it, time flies.
Draw me into your soul,
happiness is now on a roll.

sunrise unearths
a gaping hole inside me
grappling for the edge
stranded in the past
sitting in the present
petals mulched underfoot
sticky liquor bottles
remnants of adventure
evidence of you
being here
romantic with me
last night
but no sign of you today
an unfinished song
a half-written poem
not even a whispered goodbye
just a faint echo of the lock clicking
and the memory of your back
as the sun continues rising
erasing any indication
that you and i ever existed

Emergence
In this dim cave
under busy city streets
you might follow
the right echo
on its swerving
stretching journey
past grabbing shadows
and sizzling tar pits
so far
into expansive
sunlit meadows
covered with swaying
smiling black eyed susans
and there you might pause
to listen more closely
to the fizzy hum
of honey bees
and the luminous
spread of life.
Something inside you
begins to glow
like the face of the moon
emerging from the veil –
peering through parting mounds of vapor.

whispering
The white butterflies, those
Heart-shaped sweets
And my daughter - the one my body
betrayed - her precious hands
The moment's creatures, all
Strands in my braid
I do remember dreams
My hair does sometimes
Cover my face, and yet
Space can only follow time
One way, not another
So who am I to
Keep looking behind

They say memories fade away
But my heart makes excuses to think of you anyway
The way I wrote you in all my poetries
And that's how I filled you in my diaries
All my senses can feel you whenever you're around
I don't know why I still look for you in crowd
Do you ever wonder about me as much as I wonder about you?
Do I ever catch your eyes or in me, do you something brand new?
Its weird to see you go through those distant changes
When I can still write about you in like infinite pages

HIDING IN MY ROOM.
When I hide myself away from the world,
I go inside my room,
I'm like a frightened little bird,
Hiding from the moon.
I'm afraid of what's going on outside,
And I don't want to be involved,
So inside my room I try to hide,
And pray my worries will dissolve.
Inside my room I'm all alone,
And I'm safe inside these walls,
A sanctuary of wood and stone,
Where no one ever calls.
Inside my room, it is so quiet,
And I feel complete and whole,
In thoughts I drift into the night,
And I listen to my soul.
But I know I must come out some day,
And live among living,
I can't keep myself all locked away,
I can't take without some giving.
But into my room I will return,
And again I will be free,
It's guiding light will forever burn,
Just calling out to me.

PERCEPTIONS
I see the stars
Twinkles sparkles
Glowing afar
Tinkles sprinkles
Beckoning from mars
I see a smile
Goosely crackles
Stretching a mile
Grinning chuckles
Awaiting a while
I see a face
Fleecy spindles
All veiled in lace
As love rekindles
By a fabric of grace
I see victory
Wrongs to buckle
Newborn be free
Udders suckle
A united family

Thanks for the prompt. I'm a bit under the weather and drugged up right now. Been dealing with some sort of rash for a week now and the antihistamines I'm taking to keep from ripping my skin off with my claws are doing a number on my head. Sleepy and confused for now. Can I get a raincheck?
Sounds like great material for a poem, let me know when you're done!
