Down Memory Lane
How the days have gone by
In times when hopes were high
Laugher, fun, free till a tummy cry
With dreams in land of sweet lullaby
Worthy truant, a caning would pass by
Two wheeler iron horse deny
The rivalry for my maiden shy
A knight in armor bravely defy
Any challenger too daring to try
Spoken for, witnessed by the sky
Today, I walk my memory lane to testify
To the goodness and kindness to glorify
A guardian in life providence sanctified
To return love for the love thus gratified
Binding in spirit and soul as one unified

HUMILITY
Humility bearing all sorrow
Unafraid, all of tomorrow
Let go the pain of yesterday
To fulfill all duties of today
Defenses remain forsaken
Offenses plainly unspoken
Blame of others gravely forbidden
Faults from others gladly forgiven
Guilts of transgressors on the shoulder
Bear punishment meted out to the other
Bare the truth without compromise
Testify bravely even to its own demise
Humility and pride, praying side by side
In silent stillness, on guard and guide
Humility breeds peace, let love reside

How Did We Fail?
Has time lost its true meaning
Is it still telling time, and moving
Did we fail, stuck deeply in the past
With our mind roaming too far ahead
Where did we fail?
Why are we digging and cleaning
Busying, our nature to stop loving
Inventions to release the big blast
Hurting, satisfied only when dead
Why did we fail?
Complaints, critically demeaning
Left to die, no point for a roving
Let it be, it’s not meant to last
Unheard of? Or left unread?
What did we fail?
Trees felled, deprived of greening
Man’s conscience, gone revolving
Life has been imprisoned, aghast!
Time and nature have been misled
When did we fail?

A Romantic Rendezvous
a romantic rendezvous
at our cozy corner for two
lustrous table, lonely chairs
I came, but you are not there
I waited, you stood me down
best smile to hide my frown
a sensuous melody played
as you have been delayed
flowers kept me company
just for patient lonely me

BLADES ARE BLIND
blades are blind
and so are bats
yet they can find
and never forget
no ill intent
pieces or bits
once the scent
detects a hit
a thousand arrows
won’t miss the mark
death by the gallows
feared more than dark
draw no sword
nor axe to grind
to hold thy word
for blades are blind

To Be A Good Fellow
I walk the paths of bends and narrow
Waving petals, the friendlies I will follow
All charming smiles, bright and yellow
Lovelies I miss, I shall return tomorrow
Renew my chances to be a good fellow

THE GIFT OF FLOWERS
Rich sparkling blooms so pretty to show
Much more beauty, beyond their glow
Graceful as soft tender wind blows
Calmly as the peaceful river flows
A penitential act to set me free
Sweet bouquet saying I’m sorry
A true friend is indeed hard to find
Flowers for you, because you’re kind
Blossoms, I am grateful, dear beautiful
Most of all, you’re special and wonderful

AS HARMONY REIGNS
As harmony reigns from the beginning
Nothing that exists is without meaning
The passage of time may dim a memory
Imprints from images allow a rediscovery
Of who we really are from our ancestry
Smell the flowers, but not only for sweet
With bitter taste, to mother nature, greet
Look to the heavens, and touch the sky
Hear laughter of children, playing nearby
Beasts, beauties, birds, bees, butterflies
Nature’s generosity in songs and lullabies
True perception reflects a decent mind
In adversities of fire, water and the wind
Compassion in spirit, in soul and heart
Stores imprints of creation from the start

COMETH THE DAY
The day I stop thinking about myself
is the day I stop worrying about
outcomes and expectations;
When I stop desiring for praise and status
I will no longer seek the approval of others
The day I start focusing on others
is the day I will reach out to help
When I can let go of my outer control
to let in a greater power to take charge,
my life will never be the same again

RENDEZVOUS
I was at our rendezvous
Waiting patiently for you
Beneath our nesting tree
We’re never meant to be
My smiles turned to blue
When dusk told me true
I’ll be by myself, all alone
Waiting, till my life is done
Wish somehow you read this
Sealed with my loving kiss

IN THE MORNING MIST
The morning mist
ushers in the optimist
transforms the pessimist
with a tender loving kiss
to reveal what is amiss
A warm blanket
over a hidden secret
abolishes the regret
in the silent stillness
of gracious willingness
Afloat on a perch
to begin a search
no longer on a lurch
heartbeats in the charms
away from all harm
On a guided path
to spring of dew bath
anew from been hath
to taste a little gist
in today’s morning mist

Just Out Of Reach
The desire of love is
in the desire to have.
It is always there,
for us
just out of our reach.
There lies the pain,
in our comfort zone.
For pain is a tool
It breaks down walls.
It opens doors
to where love lies,
awaiting, just outside
our large play room
where we are caught up
with our other pursuits
We need to
Search deep, and deeper,
not searching to find.
Just searching,
until we are found.

Castles
Castles by history
Fortress in defense
Tunnels, out or entry
For strategic offense
Stand firm on a rock
A refuge, a sanctuary
A chapel on the block
Granite by an estuary
Fight, protect the throne
Warfares firing missiles
Trebuchets to hurl stones
Power rules vast for miles
Majestic, raised on high
Prayers up to the sky
Consolation, well nigh
Defy fear, by and by
Castles, place by place
A hideout ingenuity
A castle ruin for a palace
To scatter the enemy

SOARING TO A SLUMBER
Slumber with a rush
In the drumming heat
In abundance of plush
Soars a thumping beat
My face pops up a flush
A call to a mountain feat
Red river roars up a gush
Tributaries gathering neat
Settling activities to a hush
The pump returns to its seat
Fanning leaves serve a slush
Dance by a merry young peat
Melts down to a luxuriant lush
A calming hum far off the bleat
Quiet slumber in a cuddly blush

A LASTING IMPRINT
a lasting imprint
on screen of the mind
memories by flint
a spark for the blind
by dropping a hint
flesh and will to bind
treasures in the mint
shielded with a rind
a hued tinge of tint
fanned by the wind
dented with a dint
kindred spirit kind
dashingly, a glint
with a soulful find
for a lasting imprint
