Gangling twigs of dangling fingers

Craggy hairs scratching at windows

Scraggy spider weaving the lingers

Announcing the approach of darkness

The end of day parading its bleakness

Leggy tall stilts take a dusky walk

All are quiet, handcuffed in the gloom

Gawky branches in a windless balk

Twilight flickers to an impending doom

THERE AND HERE

You are there, I am still here

By bond of love together dear

Walking the path as we endure

Accomplishments, truly be pure

Achieve fullness of love, secured

At home, at work, at pray, a cure

For all who follow a way insured

A calling we both know for sure

Performing our tasks to assure

With daily blessings to ensure

Above these, faith, hope and love assure

No matter what trials we have to endure

Rejection, persecutions are never failure

For you it is finished, one legacy ensues

I continue what you teach me to pursue

Stories Woven From The Strings In The Heart

From the thumping of the heart, clink!

comes the strumming restful melodies

poignantly resounding in parts, twink!

tales interwoven into delicate tapestries

of romances, rendezvous, lovers, linked

The vibrating strings of lasting memories,

passion and love, told, spoken, and inked

for all who love, have loved, o pleasantries

by joy, hope, in peace, with the fullest blink

day and night, celebrating, red to pink

This is a story, by years, through centuries

before times impede it by a careless wink

by tribes, neighbors, kinsfolks and families

before cruel misfortunes make hearts sink

to dim the wonders of these love stories

The river tigers

Teeth sharper than blades

No more bigger

in between the reeds glade

Swift as lightning

Do not wander

into a dark still water, deep

nor poke a finger

beneath any surface asleep

Killers awakening

Within seconds

Strip the flesh off the bone

Never too fond

to venture into the bygones

When I Awake

I live in a little house by the lake

And rub my eyes when I awake

Gosh! Am I still in my dream

Blur images vanishing on gleam

I get out for my usual walk about

To flush my mind off any doubt

Wow! I see at once all the smiles

Visit all my greeters, yards to miles

Grins from my face for every blush

Inspiringly, words rhyme in a lush

We sing from land, to water and sky

In melodious voices, tearfully to dry

The rocks clap in standing ovation

As the birds circle above in oblation

To offer our hearts to the heaven above

Grateful for the blessing of peace and love

embarrassment by ignorance

leaves traces of dishonored dignity

the years of redemption

without any fruit of assurance

casting a shadow of phantom unity

the delicious consumption

through historical perseverance

bearing the deep scars of impropriety

is a fallacy of intended insurance

SLACK WATER

Slack water

when the tide stands still

I too am at rest

from the hustle and bustle

a time to de-stress

In silent contemplation

soothed by the stillness

letting silence speak aloud

be still, stay silent,

as the victory flag is hoisted

Get charmed by the silent wind

in the epic swaying of still reeds

this is where we always shall meet

in the silence of my heart

a sanctuary, where speaking

Is unnecessary, just be loved

listening to, communicating with,

be examined in honesty, in truth

no uninvited guests allowed,

all on slack water

I will no longer seek the approval of others

The day I start focusing on others

is the day I will reach out to help

When I can let go of my outer control
