I am meek, but unbroken.
Shaken, not deterred.
Wholly awake, and deeply perturbed.
Where Ill end the night,
I'm uncertain.
Yet, in your arms, under sheets.
I find home.

As daybreaks, like your old heart.
It brings with it, new dawn,
a needed restart.
As the rivers rise, stemmed from pouring eyes.
They wash the past; hold near, this new heart.
From this new dock, you depart.
As this vessel, hoists a fresh sail.
Loved ones on shore, cheer and hale.
In due time, the coast becomes past.
This is not the first departure,
Nor is it the last.

Clinomania
Like shadow and bone, she’s apart of me now. A part, I’ll never truly know. Hidden away, like branches in winter snow. I keep the memories as safe as I can. Hidden within, an earthly burrow. Hibernating, deep below. The core of earth, and it’s mighty bellow. My warmth against, an outside force. An other-worldly turmoil.

Repeat, Till Death.
The strongest of the strong, stand against the violent nature of life; even if they know, that our destinies are to die. Chains that hold us. A dead-end job, or a credit card debt, keep us in line, to the finish; and escape has only ever been deemed by those of us, trapped; but a hopeless wish.
The endless repeat, of a head upon a trains windowpane. Through each season, endlessly; whether it be sunshine, or through the rain. I wear my suits for business; but still in vain; and as I sit, I think of places; the ones I may never see again.
Maybe when old age takes my hand, if I’m not to fragile, I’ll explore this land. if I make enough money, perhaps, I could have a pretty girl, take my hand. But for now. I stay in this office, and on this train.
Repeating my days,
like a prisoner, shackled by chain.

Once Timid Waters.
Rivers from your eyes, form pools beneath your feet. You’re walking on water; even as you weep. Tread careful, my love. These timid waters, can sink so deep; and once these rapids take you. There much more harmful, than anyone might think. Swim on… My Love. Swim strong. The downpour, doesn’t have to last too long.

Desolate winter. Within, this heart of hearts.  Spring upon its heels.

Ink on Paper
Live on, in words on paper; Ink, now your skin. Even in time, as the memories fade thin. Turn through the years, as you gaze within. The sketches, the art, the whimsical you were. Held within this binding, this dried ink. On paper.

Quote
A depressed man, who loves God. Is no different to a depressed man who loves nothing. Love when you can, and do not let what you love define you.

Goodbye
The walls were white, the day we saw the body, and in our black suits, in that crowded room; there was no sunlight. At least none that we saw. Saying goodbye, never felt so hard before. There’s no wave back, at the end of the line. So, I’ll kiss your brow and wish you luck. On this new journey and into tomorrow, as you float above, I drown in sorrow.

Perspectives
Those waves we play in; just the few. Look so different to me and you. The water that laps, your locks of golden hair. Breaks against my skin and splits me in two.
The sun, that round us rolls. Covers you, with rays of gold. It brings to light my secret, oh, how I tried to keep it.
The stars in their vast expanse. You see them, for all they are. I try to follow you, all of the way; but I deem them all, to far, far away.
The world according to you, is a light I hope to see; but God made my brain, and he is damming me.

When You Make It
They beat the life out of you, don’t they? All of them; even with that heavy war raging on. In your mind. That minefield. Stretching, far and far beyond. One day they’ll sing your praises, but only you’ll remember. Those cold, heartless, faces

me to YOU
If I were the moon, the seas would part for you; and if I were the sun, not a day would pass without a ray of light touching your face. If I, a star. I’d be the brightest in the night. A raging fire, that you ignite. To keep you warm, amidst the cold. I would travel through time, just to see you grow old.
I am none of these things; and sometimes, that’s okay. Perhaps we could be together, if not now. Maybe someday.

MAN IN THE MIRROR
Who am I, if not the man I see in the mirror?
I know it’s me there, and I can wave, and he’ll wave back,
but how do I know that those eyes staring have been everywhere with me?
That everything inside, isn’t everything I already dreamed to be.
Some days the man I see is happy, but I am feeling sad.
Or when he’s peaceful. I’m raging and mad.
So when I leave this dwelling, at morning or at night.
How do I know which man in the mirror, is the one with me; outside. In the light.

Catherine.
You stand, tall as a pyramid. Like fire, your eyes uneclipsed by any other. To think, that through my failings. You may take another. This heart flutters; then it quakes. The thought of waking up without you there. Oh, how my heart aches. Then fills with sorrow.             For I may lose,                             one dream.                                    Come tomorrow...

A No-Good World
This world tries too hard to be too good; and cherish all those who deem themselves. Misunderstood. For all those who lie, in their dark rooms waiting for this no-good world to accept them. Don’t be too hard. One lonely troll, amongst the billions; is no cause for disregard… No great soldier ever left this world, unscarred. When the days dim, like a night without the moon, and the parties rage on, but you’d rather stay in your room. Find the stars that glisten. The one’s that love the loveless, recognise your ambition. Before you go out, to seek yourself in this broken world. Stand tall, know that your hand is held. Venture out now and be yourself amongst the crowd. Be odd and always be proud. Like all those who’ve fallen, don’t don the same torn shroud. Don’t give in, remain unbroken. Remain Unbowed. This no-good world, will try it’s best to break, all that makes you, you. So when all the world rages red, be yourself. Be blue.

SEASIDE
Broken shells, and a dreamers disease.
A stone lighthouse, above a raging sea.
Golden grained sand brings with it peace. Tranquility.
Something about this seaside, and it's subtle hostility.
Nothing is, as it once seemed;
This place looked so different, in my dreams.
Now I lay drifting,
Just another one, of the reeds.
