"Shit." Bucky's curse was accompanied by a hiss of breath from Lenkov, their shared realisation coming two seconds too late.
"What is it?" Black Widow's voice came over the intercoms.
Joined by Tony's, "Care to update the rest of us?"
Bucky gave Lenkov a nod, trusting the doctor to explain it better than him. "Captain Jürgen Hoffman just activated the termination sequence."
"The hell is that?" demanded Sam.
Bucky's mind was racing, tyring to work out what this meant for the mission, for Y/n. "She calls is her 'kill mode'."
"That doesn't sound good." Steve prompted from beside Bucky, eyebrows creased in confusion.
Lenkov picked the narrative back up. "That's because it isn't. Her commands have gone from fighting to killing. Her new objective is to make sure not a single soul makes it off this mountain."
There was a moment of silence before Steve clarified, "Not anyone?"
"Death doesn't discriminate my friend. Hydra or S.H.I.E.L.D, she won't stop until she's killed everyone or is dead herself. Hoffman is the only one safe, and the only one who can save her from herself. Until he deactivates the command, there's nothing to help her."
"Can't you do that?" questioned Sam.
Lenkov shook his head slowly. "The deactivation code is new every time, given before he turns her."
"Well, what do we do?" Unease laced Wanda's words.
It was Steve who answered. "Pull S.H.I.E.L.D. out. If you're right about this thing," Steve focused on Bucky and Lenkov, "then she'll keep Hydra occupied. There's no point wasting our own resources. Tell Fury to have S.H.I.E.L.D take up the defensive, avoid engaging but keep Hydra contained. Tony, Sam, Wanda, keep an eye on the Wraith and keep her distracted. The rest of us will get inside."
There was something so disturbing about watching someone take lives so calmly, so relaxed. Bucky watched the gruesome show unfold, like some unwilling theatregoer. She stalked right through the middle of the carnage like no bullet would dare touch her. She wasn't wrong, no one noticed her appearance until it was too late. Bucky breathed a sigh of relief at the fact that not a single S.H.I.E.L.D agent was to be seen. Fury rarely questioned Steve in moments like this, and S.H.I.E.L.D was a well-oiled machine, they moved off the site faster than even Bucky had anticipated. The first soldier the Wraith approached barely spared her a glance, what did they have to fear from their own comrade? The Wraith had already moved on before the body hit the ground.
The second agent, bunkered behind the same car, seemed to pause for only a moment before realisation seemed to strike. One hand raised the gun, and Bucky just made out the panicked shout, the warning they issued to the others, but it had barely passed their lips before the Wraith's own gun had one less bullet.
Tentative weapons retrained on the Wraith, soldiers torn between taking out their captain's prized possession and self-preservation.
They were 30 feet from the metal bunker doors now, barely hidden. Bucky would almost go through all this again just to rewatch the look of rage and confusion smeared across that scumbag of a captain's face as he realised what S.H.I.E.L.D had done. He was taking out his own soldiers, having made the fatal mistake of forgetting both Lenkov and Bucky had once been a part of their vial cult.
Hoffam stepped forward, stepped back. Did he leave them all to die or get the Wraith back under control? Did he face a massacre of his own soldiers or admit S.H.I.E.L.D outsmarted him?
Under for the cover of all the confusion, Nat and Steve slinked past the pacing Hoffman and into the bowels of the building. Bucky remained near the entrance, weapons at the ready.
They sat in tense silence as the Hydra agents fought for their lives. Any other day Bucky would have been indifferent to the soldiers dying, they were on the wrong side after all. But as the minutes ticked by the screaming didn't stop. A small, reluctant voice whispered, she's taking her time and he knew it was true. It was times like these he was reminded that despite all the memories and feeling wrapped around Y/n, the Wraith remained a cruel, brutal creature.
Clint was the first to speak up. "I know they're the bad guys, but should we do something?" He was hesitant, but the discomfort at his front row seat to the massacre prompted him.
Sam cleared his throat once. Twice. "It's a bloodbath. Hydra or not I don't feel right about this."
Another minute ticked by, and if anything, the anguished cries only grew in number. "This is wrong." Wanda's statement couldn't be argued with, and a slightly confused at what exactly was happening but overall determined agreement seemed to settle over the group.
Fury's stern voice sounded over the intercoms. "Do not compromise the mission."
But their minds had been made up. "I think informants could be quite useful, don't you guys think?" Tony ignored Fury's demand.
"Don't argue with-"
"I think he just cut out. Real shame." The smirk was clear in the billionaire's tone.
The plan was simple: Bucky and Clint would subdue Hoffman. They were close enough for it all to be over in a matter of moments – the man was vulnerable, off guard as his plan fell to pieces around him. There were certainly outside defences on the bunker, but if they moved in fast enough, they could use the Hydra captain as a shield – they wouldn't shoot their commanding officer.
One. Two. Three. Diving out from the shadows, one of Bucky's hands wrenched back the man's shoulder as his leg connected with the back of Hoffman's knee, brining him to the ground. A startled yell escaped the man, his head thrashed side to side like a wild animal, desperation cracking the façade of dignified general. "Wraith!" The man screamed, spit flying from his mouth.
From where she stood over a disembowelled man, intestines still gripped in her hand – had she ripped them out herself? – she slowly turned towards Hoffman's pleas. She took a step forwards. Another step. Assessing the situation.
"There are five of us and one of you. Doesn't matter how fast you are, move an inch and he dies." Clint's words carried across the barren snowfield, now almost devoid of life. The Wraith twirled the organs between her fingers, red dripping down her arm, grinning at the outright disgust and horror on her audience's faces. She let them fall to the ground with a wet squelch, staining the snow as she looked to Hoffman for orders.
Bucky twisted the man's arm to an unholy angle as he issued the ultimatum with an icy calmness. "Deactivate her."
"Or we kill you both," Tony added.
He didn't think Tony was bluffing, and Bucky's hand was already on his gun ready to fight. His mind was a whirlwind, Hoffman was the enemy but now he might have to battle Tony as well. Would the others side with or against him? He barely registered the sleek metal in his grip before a pressure seemed to prevent him from fully removing the gun from its holster. He glanced down, taking a moment to recognise the soft scarlet aura coating his gun. He found Wanda in the wide circle forming around Hoffman and the Wraith. She gave the smallest shake of her head, but she didn't look entirely certain either.
Bucky released the gun, for now.
Hoffman was staring them all down, mouth working soundlessly as he tried and failed to think of some smart remark, some deal he could strike. He settled for spitting at their feet.
He didn't have a choice. The man he pretended to be would have rather gone down with the ship, but the man he was would do anything to stay afloat. He was a coward, outlined in every action, every movement he made. A sneer marring his face, remaining eye narrowed in distaste, he nodded to the Wraith.
She stalked closer again, and Bucky's heart stammered as he became the closest he had been to her in far too long. "That's close enough," came Tony's warning, as she stood two metres from the captain.
There was a moment of silence before Hoffman muttered some sequence, most of the words lost to the wind. What Bucky thought he heard didn't make sense, and he gathered whatever trigger words Hoffman used must have been impossible to guess.
The Wraith stared at him. Blinked once. Twice. Visibly relaxed, shoulders releasing tension. She took a step away from Hoffman, flexed her fingers. Then, her eyes darted from Avenger to Avenger surrounding her, defensive again, but questioning. Did she even recall what just  happened?
She looked like a cornered animal, eyes jumping from Hoffman to Tony to Wanda back to Hoffman. But something was off, although Bucky wasn't sure what. Despite the confusion and rage so clearly painted on her face, there was just something calculated about the movements. The agitated flexing of her hands, the slightly quickened breath, it all seemed so genuine. Too genuine. When had the Wraith ever let her unease be visible?
Bucky looked to Wanda, hoping for some idea of what was going on in the Wraith's mind, but the witch had her eyes locked on the soldier, and Bucky gathered she was still being denied access to the Wraith's mind. Damn telepaths.
Lenkov had taken a cautious step forward, hand turned up like he was placating a wild animal. She turned to him, cycling through recognition followed by shock, and finally settling on relieved confusion but there was just something not quite right. What was going on?
He took another step forward and a small, relieved smile pulled at the Wraith's mouth. And that's when Bucky realised – this was the Wraith, Hoffman had lied. Stop. Wait. The words were lost in Bucky's throat because it was too late.
Lenkov stood stock-still, locked in a staring contest with the Wraith as a small river of blood began to leak from his eye. From his mouth. Trickling down his chin. There was a creaking, cracking, groaning sound and Lenkov whispered in a raspy, weak breath, "Y/n?" She stared at him, odd little smile now on her face, and raised an eyebrow. "I forgive you."
And then his arms were torn from his body. Then his legs. And finally his head, with a gurgling scream as his skin stretched and remaining body thrashed against the fatal force tearing him limb from limb. And all the while Hoffman laughed as Lenkov screamed, someone else was shouting and then there was another sound, something that had Bucky moving on extinct.
The sound of Stark's repulsors came to a crescendo as Bucky trained his gun on the man seconds way from killing Y/n. Almost instantly Bucky became aware of Sam's own weapon trained on him, but Bucky couldn't care less, his focus remained on Stark.
A flash of scarlet and Hoffman was clawing at his throat, arms swinging wildly as Clint struggled to hold him down. "Not the time," Wanda ground out between clenched teeth. It took two long seconds before Sam turned his gun back to Hoffman, and Bucky reluctantly followed suit.
Hoffman's eye burned red with whatever magic Wanda was scraping through his mind. "Fine!" he screamed, "I'll do it." He practically crawled to the Wraith, who had turned to Wanda, prepared to protect her captain but outmatched by the Avengers around her.
"зимний ветер... летнее солнце... мороз оттаял." (Winter wind... summer sun... the frost has thawed.)
Bucky barely understood the smear of words Hoffman slurred, but he did understand the cloudy daze of someone having their mind released. He recognised the slow, sluggish recollection. And he understood all to well the regret, the disbelief, as you realised what you had done.

MASTERLIST
------------------------------------------------------------------
The events of Endgame had affected everybody. The loss of Tony, Nat, and Vision, the resignation of Cap, Thor off in space, and Bruce was somewhere in Europe helping develop cures for diseases, everything had changed. There were only a few who stayed around the reconstructed compound anymore. Those few including Bucky, Wanda, Sam, and me.
It was usually quiet, sometimes Pepper, Morgan, and Rhodes stopped by to see how things were going. Peter always came after school to see if we needed help on missions. T’challa and Shuri always checked in over the video call, same with many of our off-world allies. Valkyrie even checked in every once in a while, per Thor’s request when he couldn’t. It was nice, but nothing would ever be the same, and everyone knew that.
We each had our own ways of coping. The four of us that lived in the compound did our best not to bother each other. Bucky usually locked himself in his room, Sam went on runs, Wanda meditated and I blasted music so loud that I couldn’t hear my thoughts. It probably wasn’t the best way to cope but if it helped, it helped.
It was one of those days where memories flooded and tears fell without a second thought, so I plugged in my headphones and laid back in my bed getting lost in the bass vibrating in my eardrums. I watched the blades of my ceiling fan turn painfully slow while the urge to eat crept on me. I turned to my clock and realized that it was around noon and I hadn’t eaten since sometime yesterday. So I wiped the few stray tears away and managed to roll out of bed, feeling the cold wooden floor beneath my feet.
I pulled an earbud from my ear, even turned the music down just slightly as I walked down the hall. Even though there was plenty of room to spread out the four of us decided to share a hallway, the close proximity giving some comfort in the time of difficulty. It was nice.
As I passed a certain door, the sound of a muffled cry reached my ear. It was Bucky’s door. I understood why it had been so hard for him to lose Steve. He had been Bucky’s anchor in life, and his comforter after the whole Hydra situation. He had to put on a brave face before Steve left to return the stones, knowing that the punk of a friend would stay and live his life. He had to bite back the tears when he saw Steve sitting on the wooden bench, hair turned white from age and skin wrinkled.
I took a step closer, removing my other earbud and pausing my music so I could hear better, pressing my ear gently against the door. Another strangled sob came from the other side along with a guttural scream. I felt awful, I wanted to check in but I didn’t want to bother him if he just wanted to be left alone. But I went against the latter and gently knocked on the door.
“Bucky? Are you ok?” I asked. The only reply I got was muffled sobs. Maybe he hadn’t heard me. So I knocked again a little harder. “Bucky?” Again, nothing but crying.
I took a minute, maybe he just needed a minute before he answered. So I waited, listening to the pained cries until I couldn’t take it.
“Bucky, I’m coming in,” I called through the door. I turned the knob and opened the door to see Bucky on the floor, sitting against the side of his bed, a throwing dagger in his metal hand, and fresh bloody cuts along his flesh forearm.
“Bucky? What are you doing, you’re gonna hurt yourself.” I closed the door before moving towards him, tossing my headphones and phone onto his bed before kneeling beside him. I took the stained knife from his metal grip, tossing it across the floor to pick up later, and pressed my hand over his cuts to minimize the bleeding causing him to hiss in pain.
“Please, please don’t.” he cried, his metal digits wrapping around my wrist.
“Buck, I’m gonna help you no matter how much you might not want it. I’m not gonna leave you,” I told him, looking into his lifeless blue-grey eyes.
“That’s what Steve said, now he’s gone. How do I know you aren’t lying?” his voice was weak and quiet, scared almost.
“I’m not Steve, I’m not going anywhere. I swear on my life,” My hand still pressed against his bleeding cuts. “But this needs to be a mutual agreement, so you cant leave me either. At least not right now. So I need your help, alright? I need you to work with me here Barnes.”
His gaze was hazy but he nodded and let go of his grip on my wrist.
“We need to get you to the bathroom, and I know I might be strong but your much heavier than you look, no offense.” I smile, trying to bring some light to the situation. Luckily I saw a small smirk form on his paling face before he nodded again.
I removed my hold on his arm, standing up and reaching my hands down to pull him up, which was successful as he used the bed to help. His left arm wrapped around my shoulder as we shuffled to the bathroom where I set him on the toilet.
I grabbed the darkest washcloth in his cupboard of towels, pressing it against his wrist and placing his metal hand over it.
“I need you to keep the pressure on that, please. I know it probably hurts but you gotta do it,” I commanded gently, squeezing his hand around his arm. He simply nodded as his eyes followed mine lethargically. I continued to look through the cupboards for his first aid kit.
“Top cupboard to the left.” He sounded tired and I didn’t blame him. I had walked in on him sitting in a small puddle of his own blood and the emotional toll this event has all taken on us was more than enough reason to be tired. I opened the cupboard he suggested and retrieved the kit from the shelf opening it quickly and pulling out what I needed.
Even when the blood had been dripping from the cuts I knew some were deep enough for stitches, so I pulled the needle and suture thread from the box, gaining a groan from Bucky.
“I’m sorry but I know those cuts are too deep. It’ll only be a stitch or two and ill make it as painless as possible Buck, you just gotta stay with me.” I replied, looking at him. He replied with a nod as tears streamed down his face. I quickly wiped one away before sending him a small smile and returning to my task.
“Alright hun, we need to clean your arm so I can make clean stitches,” I stated, standing in front of him holding my hands out again to help him to the sink. He took my hands and hauled himself from his position and made his way to sink and began washing the cuts under the running water, wincing at the stinging pain.
Once he was back on his seat, I carefully patted the area dry with the used towel and began stitching the larger cuts. I only paused when Bucky hissed in pain or jerked away after I had pulled the thread through. A chorus of apologizes came from my mouth, and from his.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so so sorry.” his usual stern, strong voice was broken and came out in whispers.
“Buck, you dont have to apologize. It’s alright, life gets hard, it’s only logical to find a coping mechanism. It’s ok hun. It’s not your fault.” I cooed, trying to calm him.
“But I do, I just tried to kill myself because, what? Because I’m sad that my friend left me to be happy? How pathetic is that?” He denied, shaking with anger and sadness.
“It’s not pathetic because it is completely valid.” I began pulling the last stitch tight. “Life gets hard, and you have been through hell and back too many times to count. We have to cope with it somehow and pain can be a distraction, though not always the best option.” I continued looking at his sorrowful tear-filled eyes.  “Steve was your rock, the person you went to with every issue. And now without him, you feel lost and your drowning under the metaphorical waves of life. So your feelings are valid, and your actions were valid, just not the right way to go about it.” I finished as I wrapped gauze and Coban around the fresh stitches.
A moment of silence filled the bathroom as I finished wrapping his arm and cleaned up the supplies that had been used.
“How are you so good at this? Why weren’t you phased?” he questioned, breaking the eerie silence.
“That, my dear friend, is a conversation for another time. You need to focus on yourself right now.” I said with a smile while I watched my hands.
He looked away, down to his bandaged arm flexing his fist as the muscles shifted the bandage.
“Thanks,” he said quietly. “For helping me.” His eyes looked to mine, the small spark of hope back in his irises.
“It’s what friends do,” I replied. “Now you need some sleep,” I said helping him from the toilet and leading him back to his bed. Moving my phone and headphones out of his way, he settled onto his bed grabbing the fleece blanket from the foot of his bed and pull it over himself.
I carefully help before grabbing my phone and the knife on the floor and turning to leave.
“Wait. I-uh- could you stay? Please.” he sounded like an innocent little boy who was scared of the monsters under the bed.
“Ya, of course I can.” I smiled, crawling into bed next to him. I sat with my back against the headboard, Bucky’s head on my lap, and his bandaged arm wrapped over my legs. My fingers found their way through his brunette locks as his breaths became heavier.
“You know you can always come to me,” I said quietly, leaning my head against the backboard. “I’ll listen, always.”
“You can come to me too. Tell me anything and everything,” he mumbled through his tired state.
“Love ya Buck. Sleep well.” I hummed quietly, closing my eyes.
“Love you too Kenz.” he murmured quietly before the room was filled with soft snores from both the soldier and me.
Things might not go back to how they were but they will get better.

winter soldier x reader - part 3
I rest my head against the window of the car, Captain America sitting next to me.
"Can I just,"
"No,"
"But it'll be faster,"
"No (y/n),"
"Fine,"
We arrive and we're sitting in a room, watching the monitor as Bucky gets asked various questions.
"Something's off," I whisper to Steve and he nods, I cross my arms, eyes glued to the doctor.
Suddenly the power goes out, "No," I clench my fists landing behind the chamber Bucky is in. I stay quiet as I listen to the conversation.
The doctor starts to say words and Bucky yells for him to stop, my head is pounding as I run towards the doctor, quickly kicking him in the stomach. I notice the doctor is talking in Russian before he stops to look at me.
"Two of you, fantastic,"
He's out of his restraints as he punches the glass, the doctor still speaking Russian, Homecoming? One?
"(y/n)! Get out of here!" the glass falls to the ground Bucky running towards me as I turn around.
"Freight car,"
I watch Bucky kneel down and I quickly follow, no longer controlling my own body as I stand up next to him looking straight ahead.
"Ready to comply," we say in unison and he smiles walking over to Bucky.
"Mission December 16, 1991," he asks and Bucky replies before telling us to create a distraction.
Everything happens and I can see it but I don't have control over it. I fight my own mind but nothing is working.
"I don't want to fight you,"  the man in front of me holds up his hand a glowing circle in it.
"Then don't," I throw a punch only to be sent flying back. I get up running towards the man but I stumble, someone else's bullet in my shoulder.
I fall to the ground holding my shoulder screaming for help. As I wait for someone to come to my aid I look over at Bucky who nods understanding what it is I want to do, quickly I look away. The same guy with the glowing hand comes to my aid.
"(y/n)?"
"Don't know her,"
I grab his face and jam it right into my knee before kicking him back. Bucky grabs him and sends him flying, He ends up using his boost and softly lands. My arm is pulled and I run behind Bucky skipping steps to get to the roof, where a helicopter awaits us.
Bucky sits in the pilot gets into the pilot's seat and as I run around I'm hit in the back by a shield, sending me to the ground. With a groan, I crawl to the other side, Bucky almost in the air. He opens the door dragging me into the helicopter. I hold my shoulder to try and prevent the bleeding.
"Why aren't we moving,"
"Look," he says through gritted teeth.
He leans back for me to look through the window, "What the-" The man with the shield is holding the helicopter while also holding onto the helicopter pad, keeping it from flying away.
I rest my head on the seat, before looking at Bucky, "Fly into him," I tell him and he hesitates before moving the helicopter stick towards the man.
We crash into the pad the helicopter spinning out of control before balancing. I try to kick my door out as Bucky punches his hand through the glass holding the man by the neck. I see the tail of the helicopter fall and I kick faster but the door seems to be stuck. The helicopter shifts and I feel it start leaning and then it starts falling.
I continue to kick the door finally getting it off the helicopter. Dropping out of the helicopter and landing in the water below. The sound of the debris hits the water as I come up for air, not realizing a piece of the helicopter pad is falling until it's too late, knocking me out.
Slowly I open my eyes blinking a few times getting a sense of where I am. My legs are outstretched in front of me, my hands tied behind me. I clench my fists but nothing happens. Closing my eyes I try again, imagining where I want to be.
"Don't," the familiar voice in front of me stares at me, his silver arm under a press.
Confused I furrow my eyebrows and he nods over to the opening, slowly I turn my head unsure of what I'll see. Taking a deep breath when I see Steve and Sam, dropping my head between my knees. Bucky finishes explaining why he's here and I've proceeded the lay down on the pavement tired from everything that happened before. Wait, what happened before? I quickly sit up frantically looking between Steve and Bucky.
"Some things we never mentioned," Bucky nods over to me, "Her memories don't come back,"
"What else?" asks Steve walking over to me.
"I can't heal like the rest of them do... If you haven't noticed," he removes the cuffs around my wrists.
I massage them, clenching my fist to see the blue glow around them.
"Yeah, but she can do that,"
They all stare at me as I place my glowing hand over the wound, having already removed my jacket and pulled my shirt down to reveal it. The stinging sensation makes me tap my foot as I close my eyes. Once done I let my body fall, my hand still over the wound.
"Since she can't heal like the rest of us-"
"(y/n) drains her energy using her power," Bucky nods at Steve's words.
"How many super soldiers are there?" Sam asks confused by the whole situation
"Eight, I think," I mumble
"And they're all strong?" we all nod.
"Apparently HYDRA's best,"
"Including these two?" he points at Bucky and me, looking over at Steve.
With a quick blink, I stand behind Sam, "Boo,"
"Oh, I hate you for that,"
Bucky and I laugh as I blink once again stumbling to the ground as I land back at the wall I was sitting against.
"Ha! That's what you get!" I stick my tongue out at him dropping my head as I catch my breath.
"So how does it work (y/n)?"
"How does what work?" I ask my head still hanging as the world spins.
"I've seen you clench your fists but you didn't just now,"
"Oh," I open my palm to show him a glowing orb, flicking it in his direction so it lands at his feet, "I mean, I can teleport whenever, I don't have to do anything," I say now behind him, "I think it depends how far I want to go,"
"So if you went to the complex-"
I clench my fists so I'm there quickly grabbing water from the fridge before going back to wherever Steve is hiding us.
"Yup, I can't just blink that one,"
"But you don't always teleport when you clench your fists,"
"Well, I think about what I want to do," I open my hand showing a blue orb, "I want to heal? I'll think about that, teleport? I'll think about where I want to go and I'll go there and so on," I sigh sitting back against the wall.
"What else can you do?" asks Sam
"Oh, this," with a snap Bucky is on the floor an electric current from his arm into his body paralyzes him, "Zap," I snap again and it stops. He glares at me, his jaws clenched and I feel my heart stop.
"If you don't keep your memories. How do you know Bucky hurt you?"
"Muscle memory?" I shrug with a small smile, my attempt at a joke being just an attempt. The world starts spinning again and I close my eyes, "They would send the currents through our brain if we didn't cooperate, removing our memories right?"
"Yeah,"
"Every time I misbehaved...or broke his arm, I would get sent there and then Bucky would beat the shit out of me," I shrug, "I don't think he meant it,"
"I didn't," I still can't look him in the eyes
"It was like I was programmed to mess him up," I press my lips together, "My brain didn't care about the consequences, as long as my target was down,"
"What is your..." Sam looks for the right words with his hands, "Thing, the hand thing what is it?"
"Electric,"
"Really?"
I nod, "I don't know how but that's what the serum gave me. Strength, electricity, and teleportation,"
"And combat," Steve adds
"That too," I point at him standing up, putting my jacket back on. "Now what?"

Expert on the story : Every one knew that Bucky Barnes was a player he got under people's skin and then he makes his way to your heart and then crumble it to bits and pieces, leaving it in the dust and never looked back well… at least that’s what you heard … But why should you care you were only roommates but were you really or was it something more
FLUFF SOOOOOO MUCH MAYBE A TINY ANGST BUT NOT TOO MUCH :()
Tumblr media
So, let's get one thing straight you and Bucky Barnes were nothing more than roommates who turned out to become friends.
But it's clear that you wanted the relationship but not so clear to Barnes so you, hid all your emotions all because you didn't want to end up one of those sad heartbroken girls who would ruin our friendship you heard the rumors.
Heck you heard them before you even met him you act like you can't hear the moans through the walls every Friday night.
When yall would go out it was a new face every week and  Bucky Barnes was a player he got under people's skin and then make his way to your heart and crumble it to pieces leaving it in the dust, and to never look back in all the 3 years you've known him never has he had a serious relationship.
So when it was a cold December day the first snowfall had just fallen so you called into work and bucky did the same thing this was your traditions to stay home and watch the first snowfall.
Drink Hot cocoa and do all the stuff couples would do but you had to remind yourself it strictly just friends.
"wow doll this coca is amazing you do something diffrent "
 "doll"
 "doll"
"Y/N
' "what .. you say something buck"
"yeah but doesn't matter right now why don't you come over here and snuggle  and tell me what's on that pretty little mind"
Even though your heart was telling you to stay your distance your feet had a mind of its own  next thing you know you're sitting next to bucky on the front porch while he pulls the blanket around you tighter
 " so what's wrong”
" "love is so overrated
`'' What do you mean”
"have you've ever been in love "
*sigh* “yeah i have and i am “
You felt your heart drop but you had to keep a brave face no matter what
but you didn't notice the look buck was giving you as he said it
“So who is she “ you could  hear your voice wavering
“ Not the point doll we are talking about you so what's you got you thinking bout love “
His brooklyn accent coming in thick that's the thing it would come out at certain times but mostly when he talks about steve.
That's another thing that made you fall in love wait…
Love no there no way you cant you only like him that's what made you LIKE him, his compassion for certain things for steve for his hometown his family and many more wait did you love.
“doll your zoning out on me again”
“I just i want to know if I will ever find the one you know what i mean buck like your one true soulmate”
   “ yeah i think i have ”
“ that's nice buck have you told them “
you stared out into the front yard where the snow started to come down a little harder  you felt  warm fingers grab your chin softly and turn your head to look the direction they were coming from.
Your eyes met his and there was silence but its was nice comforting silence
All you saw was his soft baby blues staring back at you his eyes dart from your lips back to your yours he started to lean in slowly.
Your breath hitched in your throat  as he kept leaning in your voice barely a whisper you didn't even hear yourself speak.
Your heart was beating so fast with a whisper against your lips
“its you its all been you i love you and only you since ive met you''
 ``wh…”
His lips crashed in yours so warm against your freezing cold ones while the snow fell harder on that cold December day.
The only thing that mattered was that you were his and he was yours.

Oh Baby
Dad!BuckyXReader. Angst/fluff
You could read this as either the first one-shot to my fic, sick. Or you could read this as a prologue. Either way works. :)
Plot: You have a new baby that you are madly in love with. But the baby blues are stealing some of that joy away from you. Luckily you have Bucky, a great father and husband to help you get through it.
TW: Depression
................................................................................................................................
You were madly in love. You loved your 3-week-old baby more than anyone you had ever loved in your whole life. In your eyes, she was the most beautiful human being that you had ever set eyes on. She had her dad’s sky-blue eyes, with tiny flecks of the exact same color green of your eyes around her pupils. When she was born, she had a full head of Bucky’s chocolate brown hair, your nose, your chin, and even some of Bucky’s facial expressions. You wondered what other features of yours and his she would inherit as time went on and she grew older. Suddenly the thought of her growing older than she was now started to make you feel sad. A lot of things made you feel sad nowadays.
You didn’t know why you felt this way almost all of the time. The day Frankie was born was the happiest day of your life; despite the idea of ever having a kid was one of the most unplanned event that you could ever imagine. You and Bucky had disclosed, and agreed that you never wanted to have kids. Your lives were too busy, and you both loved what you did. Plus the idea of having a kid was absolutely terrifying. You didn’t know how to be parents. But one day almost 7 months ago while minutes away from taking off on a mission that didn’t involve Bucky, you were called off of the jet only to  be yelled at by your CO for trying to get on a mission while 12 weeks pregnant. 12 weeks pregnant? You had scoffed at your CO for even suggesting that that was a possibility. In fact, you laughed in his face as though it were some weird prank. Someone had obviously planted those results on you. There was no fucking way. True, you had admittedly skipped out on your bi-monthly medical check-ups three times until that day. So you came to the conclusion that someone found out about it and planted it on your medical records so that they could get away with doing what they wanted for at least a little while longer. 3 pregnancy tests later, and a follow-up doctor’s appointment the very next day confirmed their own statements. And yet, although you had both been scared out of your minds for nearly 24 hours, when you heard the sound of that strong heartbeat echo around the room, you felt an overwhelming sense of calm. You had a hard time mustering up the courage to look at the screen at first, but in Bucky’s eyes you could see an expression of awe…even love while fixating on the footage of that little form resting calmly inside you. That look alone gave you the courage to turn around and see what was your little girl. You were then both immediately in love. So why were you feeling like this right now? This was supposed to be the happiest time of your life. Sure, you were a little (very) sleep deprived, our nipples felt like raw, engorged chew toys, and you were recovering from an incredibly long, and difficult labor/birth that bordered on traumatic. It was eventually the best day of your life, but even thinking about that pain made you start to tremble. Why did everyone say that you would forget the pain in a split second? Now for the past week or so, Frankie would start wailing, and she would not stop for a long time. You had no idea what she was crying about, or how to fix it. You felt so helpless in those moments, especially when she would cry angrily as though to tell you to figure out what the fuck she needed, and now. Now was one of those moments. Her diaper was clean, you tried feeding her but she refused; you tried rocking her, and putting her down for a nap. And yet, nothing was helping. You stood in the middle of her nursery with her head resting on your shoulder as you softly bounced her, rocking her side to side. Nothing. You felt tears start to form in your eyes. You didn’t know what you were doing wrong. Maybe she just hated you. Bucky swiftly walked into the room. “Y/N, is everything oka-” “We’re fine,” you snapped. “Y/N, just let me take her for a little while,” “I said, we’re fine! You think I don’t know how to take care of her?” This caused her to cry even harder. You shot him a severe look, signaling him to go away. When he finally left the room, the tears that you tried to hold back began to flow, and you broke out into silent sobs so as to try not to upset her even more. You were failing, and you didn’t know what to do about it. . . . After another half hour, she had finally tired out and went to sleep. But God knows how for how much longer now. You made your way to the living room and plopped on the couch and hugged your knees in an upright position. You nearly started rocking yourself, but you didn’t have it in you to even do that. You didn’t even have the energy to push yourself sideways to make yourself comfortable to get some sleep. So you just stared off into space. You didn’t even have enough energy to even have thoughts at this point. “Y/N,” Bucky sighed, sitting next to you on the couch, setting a light hand on your shoulder. You jumped, not expecting the physical contact. Especially after how badly you had treated him not too long ago. “Y/N, you really should get some sleep.” You shook your head, just barely as you continued to stare off into space. “She’ll probably need me soon, so there’s no point,” “Then let me take care of it.” You shook your head once again. A little bit stronger now. “Y/N, do you not trust me with the baby?” You frowned, but didn’t move your eyes or head to his direction. “Y/N…” Now you snapped your head towards him, feeling a burst of energy fueled by anger come out. “How could you say that?” You exclaimed. “Y/N, you never let me take care of her, much less touch her nowadays. So I’m asking you again. Do you not trust me to be around her anymore?” You sighed, fighting another burst of tears attempting to make their way through. It wasn’t that you didn’t trust him with the baby. In fact, it took a little while for him to even trust himself to hold her. On the day that she was born, you decided that you needed to spontaneously enforce the sink or swim method on him. So you just handed her off to him giving him no option but to hold her, or she would fall. And you knew that he was never going to let that happen to his precious little doll. So who the fuck was he to accuse you of that? You shot up, crossing your arms. “Great, so now I’m not just a horrible mother, but a terrible wife too? Is that what you’re saying?” “Y/N,” he said softly, keeping a short distance from you. And that’s when the tears came out in loud sobs. You couldn’t control it, or hold back as you did before. You turned your back to him with your head in your hands. You suddenly felt him wrap his arms around you, and turn you around. Your head was now resting on his chest forming a large wet spot onto his light-grey shirt. He rocked you side to side as though you were the baby now that couldn’t stop crying. You didn’t deserve him. He sat you back on the couch and had you lay down with your knees curled up, and your head resting on his legs. “Y/N, I’m sorry for what I said, but please just tell me what’s going on. You act as though you have to do this alone.” That was it. You felt like you did have to. You felt an immense amount of guilt about how much you had put her in danger for the first three months of your pregnancy. You had carried on doing missions, and engaged in multiple rigorous, and dangerous fights. All because you neglected to go to those stupid check-ups. When you found out about her presence, you felt a desperate need to protect her. Since she was inside of you, it hardly even felt like a task. As long as you were safe, she was safe by default. She was comfortable, secure, and had all of her needs taken care of by default. Now that she was out in the world, it was a different story. You had been so close to her for so many months. It was the closest bond that one human could have with another human. On a technical scale, you were the only one who had any sort of physical contact with her until the moment you gave birth to her. Now that she was out in the world as an autonomous being, that thought scared you. You wanted that closeness back. You wanted her protected in your belly once again. Now it felt like she couldn’t even bond with you. She hated you now. You didn’t know how to properly be a mother. So you tried, and you tried day and night and but continued to fail nonetheless. But while trying to learn how to care for her properly, you didn’t realize that in the process you had been alienating her from her father. Or rather, you had been alienating her father from her. It wasn’t fair to him to feel that way. So, you explained the exact thoughts that you were feeling as you continued to sob on his lap. He did nothing but listen while stroking your hair. “Y/N you’re not a terrible mother,” he said in the hushed tone that he knew soothed you. “And you shouldn’t feel like you have to do this alone. You’re crashing, and I see it happening more and more by the hour. You can’t keep going on like this without eventually ending up in a hospital.” You sniffled, finally regaining the ability to stop the tears. Within a split second, he scooped you up and carried you upstairs to your bedroom to set you onto the bed, covering you up in the warm blankets. The pillows underneath you felt so soft. Softer than they had ever felt in your life. “Now rest,” he whispered before kissing you on the forehead. “What if she gets hungry?” you muttered drowsily.   “Fridge.” Oh right…You had completely forgotten that you had left milk for her in there. You just felt too guilty to use it to let him bottle feed her. But the bed was so comfortable, before you could even finish the thought, you drifted off into sleep. … The next few weeks were still hard; but not nearly as much as before. You let Bucky help you, sharing the load. How you had felt before didn’t go away overnight, and you still felt tired a lot of the time. But you didn’t feel like you were going to crash as hard as before. Slowly over time, the spontaneous waterworks began to subside. Eventually the more you got the hang of things, it was much easier to take care of her. With the added help of Bucky of course. You didn’t realize how much less of a weight on your shoulders it was when you let him share some of the load. You bonded with her more and more, and so did her father. You melted when you secretly watched that tiny baby lay comfortably in his arms. One time you broke out into sobs at the sight of them. Bucky had fallen asleep with her in his arms as she slept comfortably. When he woke up hearing the tear induced gasp, Bucky thought that he had done something wrong. But it was the opposite. You smiled through the tears and explained that they were happy tears.   And as the months went by, you celebrated the new milestones that she accomplished. You weren’t as sad as you thought you would be in the process of  watching her up so fast. You loved seeing how much her fire-like spirit and determination to learn how to do new things and navigate the world flourished. She would give you the biggest, and happiest one-toothed smiles when  crawled around the living-room floor with her chunky baby legs; and oftentimes would explode into the most infectious bouts of laughter. It was impossible for anyone not to light up at the sound of it, especially in public. As mentioned before, it still wasn’t easy adjusting into parenthood. But you set your mind into realizing that this was another journey in life that you would conquer every day, and enjoy every step of the ride. But when those moments came when you felt like you were failing, Bucky stepped in and reassured you that it was just the opposite. He reasoned that you felt that way not because you were a bad mother, but because you wanted to be the best damn mother you could be. And that you were doing a hell of a good job at it. And he was doing a hell of a good job at being the best father. Parenthood may have been a journey that neither of you had wanted in the beginning of your relationship. But now, you couldn’t imagine life without your little family.

Marvel Masterpost
I’ve been spending a lot of time developing a world in Marvel, both in comics and MCU, and I’d like to make a post to keep all the projects involved in this. I do hope at least a few people read these fics because I put hours of my time and my heart and soul into giving these characters distinct personalities, backstories and emotions that fuse with the official Marvel universe (this means a lot of Wikipedia pages) and for the insert fics; it can take me up to two days to complete scenes from one movie. I love these characters with all my heart and I hope some of you guys do too!
Pyromania - WIP - Bucky Barnes x Enhanced!Reader    Summary: (Winter Soldier-Endgame Insert) You’re an enhanced HYDRA agent who negotiated her way out of being a weapon. You’re now the nurse/ aid of the Winter Soldier. You end up escaping with him and follow him in and out of danger while slowly developing feelings for each other.    Character: Kang Sunji
Vixen - Future Project - Bruce Banner x Spy!Reader    Summary: (Avengers-Civil War Insert) You used to work for HYDRA and reformed to join a JSOC Ghost Unit and eventually S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury calls on you to join the Avengers Initiative along with your old ally, Natasha Romanoff. Unfortunately, you develop feelings for the clever Dr Bruce Banner.    Character: Mina Kaiser
Pretty Girl - WIP - Comic!Bucky Barnes x Reader    Summary: (Comic books Insert) Your mother sends you to America to study the war effort. It’s 1939 and the Nazis are marching into Poland, where your parents remain. You meet and befriend Steven Rogers, Bucky Barnes and Peggy Carter at Camp Lehigh. After accidentally discovering Steve Rogers is Captain America and Bucky Barnes is his sidekick, you join them on missions.  Unfortunately, something has gone wrong in Poland and you discover a plot to hide the truth.    Character: Irenka (Irene) Kowalski
Captain - Future Project - Steve Rogers x Carter!Reader    Summary: (Winter Soldier-Endgame Insert) Your aunt Peggy has talked about Steve her whole life and now you’ve been tasked with watching over the living legend. You catch feelings all too quickly and struggle to balance your loyalty to Director Fury, your job and your fascination with technology.   (I know she replaces Sharon Carter but I’m too self-indulgent sometimes)    Character: Selene Carter
Captain America: New - Future Project - Cap!Sam Wilson x Carter!Reader    Summary: (Post Endgame) After Steve decided to move on, you struggle to cope with the abandonment. Sam offers you a place to stay and all the support you could want. Somehow, you find love you thought had been taken away with Steve and start falling for Sam Wilson.    Character: Selene Carter
Control - Future Project - Everett Ross x Spy!Reader    Summary: (Black Panther-Infinity War Insert) With Bruce missing and Natasha mourning, you join T’Challa in Wakanda to escape from the Civil War. Here, you meet Agent Ross on a mission to Korea. The ex-Airforce pilot wins over your heart and the two of you stay in Wakanda to work as ambassadors.    Character: Mina Kaiser
Recovery - Future Project - Bruce Banner x Spy!Reader    Summary: (Post Endgame) Brought back into a new world, you find Natasha gone, Agent Ross moved on and Banner back at the compound, you move back to the Avengers and slowly start to rekindle what remained of your relationship with Bruce, finding solace in each other’s grief for Natasha.    Character: Mina Kaiser
Eventually, I’ll add more as I start mapping them out. The whole point is to be able to fuse this world together and have each characters intertwine with each other and the Marvel universe.

Just a Dream - Part 4
Bucky Barnes x Reader Summary: Inspired by the song “Just a Dream” by Carrie Underwood Warnings: none Word Count: 955 Y/N and Bucky stared at each other in silence, the rest of the Avengers didn’t want to be the ones to say anything either, for fear of saying the wrong thing. The silence was the heaviest thing in the room, it wrapped around the occupied space and held on tight. “You really don’t get it do you?” Y/N asked. “Get what?” Bucky moved closer, stopping when Y/N moved backwards. “They took you! They took you from our home.” Y/N tried to keep the sobs from leaving her mouth. “I hide in a closet because you told me too. I lost you! I actually believed in the few moments before that we had forever.” The tears fell, Y/N wiped them away quickly, taking a deep breath. “I thought I’d never see you again… and to find you here, and you didn’t remember me…” Y/N took a breath, wiping her sweaty hands on her shirt. Looking back into Bucky’s eyes Y/N had to make a choice, leave him or never let him go. “I’m sorry. I can’t do this.” Y/N started to turn around. “Excuse me.” Practically running Y/N was out the door and gone. She didn’t look back, she just needed to breath, she needed to think. She wanted to hold onto Bucky for the rest of her life, but she couldn’t go through the heartache of losing him again. Not again. “Your wife?” Steve asked. “Yeah.” Bucky smiled sadly at Steve. “’My Angel. 01.09.15’ it’s the date we were married.” “Your 2nd anniversary is in 3 days.” Steve almost laughed. “Buck… your married?” “Yeah I am.” Bucky took a deep breath, running his flesh hand through his hair. “You’d have loved her when we first meet.” “Tell me about her.” Steve walked towards Bucky as they walked outside, leaving the rest of the team shocked. “Where did you meet her?” “London.” Bucky smiled at the memory. “She was on exchange, studying over there and working at some little coffee shop. I’d somehow evaded HYDRA for a few months and if it wasn’t for her, I’d have never stopped.” “How’d it happen? How’d you ask her to marry you? And the wedding?” Steve laughed. “I remembered you’d always wanted a massive wedding in Brooklyn.” “It was completely on a whim.” Bucky laughed. “We’d just been out grabbing groceries and when we got back to this little apartment we shared, we were soaked to the bone, it’d been raining. After I carried the bags to the kitchen I just kinda looked at her and…” Bucky looked at Steve who was captivated, this was his Bucky. “Her hair was all over the place, her t-shirt looked like a second layer to her skin, she was having trouble taking off her jacket. She came to help me and I just said, ‘We should get married.’” Steve laughed then, full belly laugh. He had always admired Bucky for his impulsiveness sometimes, but other times weren’t always for impulses. “What did she do?” Steve asked between breaths. “She thought I was crazy.” Bucky laughed. “She thought I was joking, so did I for a moment actually. But then I realised I actually wanted to marry her. I never wanted to let her go.” “But she eventually said yes.” Steve smiled. “Yeah. After I took a key ring off the keys and asked her again.” Bucky laughed at his horrible choice of ring. “Got down on one knee and everything. She said yes and within the week we were back in Brooklyn. We picked up a marriage license and went up to the old church. She had on a simply white dress and I got a suit somehow.” Bucky smiled at their makeshift wedding. “It was about 8:30 at night and we forgot to bring rings. Can you believe that? We forgot the rings at our own wedding.” “No that sounds like something you’d do. So what’d you use?” Steve shook his head smiling. “My dog tags.” Bucky laughed. “She always said that my dog tags were a part of me, now there both of ours.” “You really love her?” Steve asked. “I mean you remember her and still love her?” “Like I never stopped.” Bucky looked at Steve. It was late when Y/N got back to the compound, the compound itself was quiet. Y/N didn’t expect everyone to be asleep so she wasn’t surprised to see Bucky, Steve and Sam sitting in the kitchen when she walked it. They all smiled at her, Steve and Sam leaving her to talk to Bucky. “Hi.” Y/N smiled. “Hi.” Bucky offered her a seat. “I’m sorry for running out before. I was-“ “You don’t have to explain it to me, Y/N. I get it.” He smiled as she sat. “Can we talk though?” “Actually I’ve already made up my mind.” Y/N smiled, causing Bucky’s heart to stop. “Oh. So..?” Bucky’s metal arm slightly shook. “Bucky I love you.” Y/N spoke, taking his metal arm. “And I want this to work. So if you’ll let me, I want to be with you.” Without answering, Bucky leaned over the space and kissed Y/N. Smiling into the kiss, Y/N moved her hands into Bucky’s hair as Bucky moved to stand in between her legs. Bucky’s arms wrapped around Y/N holding on tight enough to make sure she never left his arms again. “I swear if this is what we have to walk in on every time we enter a room I’m going to scream.” Sam said from the door next to Steve. “Have you been around married people lately?” Steve asked. “No, and I don’t think I really want to be if this is my example.” He pointed at the couple who completely ignored the two boys.

A Part of The Team: Part 5
Request: Hello! Would you mind doing a oneshot where Bucky and Reader just got married and he becomes more protective of her and sweeter and clingier and his team mates tease him about it ? 😅
Words:1403
Warnings: Not a one...I think
Next chapter is going to take place a couple years in the future.
Chapter 5
“Bucky, baby, please stop panicking.” You said as you watched your husband scour the room for anything he thought you would need for the doctors appointment. He was practically bent over backwards on his head trying to look for something under your shared bed, but for the life of you you couldn’t figure out what. “Bucky, it’s just a sonogram, not the actual birth.” He shot up from his contortionist position to glare at you, but it was much softer than the typical menacing look you knew he was capable of. However, even the smallest of glares was rarely directed at you. Your eyebrows shot up. “You better stop looking at me like that, mister, or you don’t get to go.” You accentuated with a pointed finger.
His features smoothed so fast you would’ve missed it if you blinked, then he rushed to you and placed his large hands on both of your arms. “Doll, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m just nervous. I’ve…I’ve never had a baby before.”
The chuckle you let out caused your husbands eyes to light up and sparkle just a little. “Well I’ve never had one either and I’m not freaking out.”
“Well, you should be! Y/N, we are having a baby. There will be a little Y/N or a little Bucky running around here and…oh, god!”
Buckys eyes blew wide and you were hit with a sudden feeling that he was going to pass out, so you gripped his own arms from underneath to keep him steady. “What?!” He had this faraway look in his eyes and you jerked him back to earth. “What’s wrong?”
“We can’t have a baby here!!! We…we need an apartment or…a house. We need a house! Oh my god, where are we going to get a house?”
He had pulled away from you and started to look around the room like he would find one a couple feet away from him and began running his hands through his hair like a madman. “Bucky, its ok.”
“We are having a baby in a couple months, Y/N. Where are we going to get a house that soon!?”
“Ok.” You chuckled, reaching out for him again. When he noticed your outstretched arms, he calmed and walked into them, then tightly wrapped his own around you. “Honey, first of all, I’m 10 weeks pregnant. Its going to be more than a couple months. And second, we don’t need to get a house yet if we don’t want to. Yea, it would be nice, but there’s no rush. We have time to decide what we want.”
“Oh yea right. Who told you that?”
“Steve.” You mumbled into his chest.
“Steve!?” He said, obvious concern in his voice.
You looked up to his face to find it less than happy and you knew his mind was racing. He had that look in his eye that reminded you of a few years ago when he was plagued by nightmares and spent hours replaying them in his mind the next day. But, you couldn’t understand why that look would appear at the mere mention of his best friends name.
He released you without meeting your eyes and slipped around you out the door. You found yourself a little offended at his actions, but mostly you were just concerned. Bucky never ignored you, ever. He had once told you that no matter what you said or did, he would always find value in it. It wasn’t as if you required his attention on you at all times, sometimes you even found it overbearing, but this was different.
When you walked out of your room after Bucky, you went straight for the living room where you knew Steve would be. The only clue you had to where your husband would be going was his surprise exit at his friends mention, but you figured that was a pretty strong lead. And sure enough, there he was, once again sitting in front of his friend on the coffee table, blocking the TV that Steve had been attentively watching.
Just like two days before, you waited on the sidelines as two of your favorite people had their own conversation, most likely about you and the child you had yet to have.
“We can’t live here, Steve.” You heard Bucky mumble into his hands as he rested his arms on his knees. “We just can’t. Y/N…the baby…they won’t be protected.” He looked up to meet his friends concerned gaze, one that was understanding, and one that you were thankful for. “I really appreciate you offering to help, all of you, but this place gets attacked. I love her…I love…them…too much to risk staying here for a minute longer than necessary.”
Steve emitted a large sigh and leaned forward to mimic Buckys position. “Does Y/N know you feel this way?”
Bucky chuckled half-heartedly. “Of course she knows. Besides she’s right there.” He smiled slightly, pointing a long finger exactly in your direction, not a degree off, without even looking your way. You forgot that he had these ridiculous senses when it came to you. And he knew you would follow, of course.
Steves eyeline followed Buckys long arm until he met your eyes and he gave you a little wave, which you returned with a small smile. “Hi, Steve.”
“Hi, Y/N.”
At your words, Bucky smiled, and it caught your attention from the corner of your eye. “Doll, im sorry I walked off. I just---”
“Its ok, Bucky. I know you’re just concerned.” You replied, moving to sit by him on the coffee table. Instinctually, he wrapped an arm around you and pulled you close to his body. You felt safe, snuggled up like two little kittens. He would prefer you refer to him as a wolf or some more ferocious animal, but to you, he would always be your cute little, blue-eyed kitten. Even if you couldn’t find a way to move from the tower for a while, you knew you would be safe with him.
You wrapped your arm around his middle, leaning into him further, and he placed a soft kiss on your forehead. He mumbled an ‘I love you’ into your skin and Steve smiled at you both. You knew that man was in love with love. Seriously, one day you would get him with Sharon. And maybe when Buckys anxiety about you and the baby calmed down, he would help you with that task.
“Well…” Steve spoke up after minutes of uninterrupted silence. “We all love you both and if what you need is a house or an apartment, somewhere other than here, then I’m sure, positive actually, that Tony would be willing to chip in.”
Your eyes blew wide at the mere mention of your friends spending that kind of money on you. “Steve, we aren’t going to take anyones money.” That was just not something you and Bucky would expect or accept just because. The two of you were never handed things for free. You even had to fight, and hard, for your relationship. Being handed things was just not how you rolled.
“Of course we aren’t.” Bucky stressed.
Steve rolled his eyes and a very un-Steve-like fashion and it shocked you quite a bit, but he had a smile on his handsome face, so you figured it was in good nature. “Guys, we want the baby to be safe, too. We’ve...kind of been talking about it. The whole team.”
“But…You didn’t say anything.” You said, trying to recall if, at all, your friends had even let it slip that they had this plan. They most definitely hadn’t. You would’ve remembered, without a doubt.
“Well, we wanted to make sure that was something you wanted first and now that we know it is…there’s only the matter of picking out where you want to live.” Steve smiled. “Hopefully not too far away.”
Your hand flew to cover your mouth as you gasped an ‘oh my god’ and your grip on Bucky grew tighter. You heard him suck in a breath and you knew he felt the same as you.
“Steve…” Bucky nearly whispered. “I…I don’t know how to thank you guys.”
“Just make sure to bring the kid around every once in a while.”
The three of you laughed as a tear of happiness slipped down your cheek. “As if you aren’t going to be the godfather, Mr. Rogers.” You chuckled.

winter soldier x reader - part 2
I roll my eyes, tapping my foot on the floor before sighing.
"Fine," he sits back and I sit up not sure if I'm ready to relive my past. "Bucky isn't the only Winter Soldier. There were five more...six including me,"
"Were you just normal people?"
"No, no," I chuckle, "I wish, we were HYDRA's elite group of assassins,"
"Oh,"
"Before the serum..." I pause unsure if I want Steve to know this. Not sure of what he will do, I clear my throat not making eye contact, "We had more kills than anyone in HYDRA history,"
"So the same serum they used on me they used on all of you?"
I nod, opening my mouth to start talking only to be interrupted by the door opening. I turn to look at Bucky before turning around and placing my hands on the table, clutching them together my nervous tapping continuing. Steve thanks the guard as they walk out before turning to look at Bucky. My eyes stayed glued to my hands.
"What Bucky are we talking to?"
He tells Steve facts from their past but I don't concentrate on that. I feel the warmth in my hands and I quickly place them under the table, the blue trying to show.
"Did you tell him?"
"What?" I look up at Bucky, "I mean, sorry, um,"
"She started, but didn't get to finish,"
"I'll finish, how far did she get?"
"Elite group of assassins,"
"Oh, yeah, they speak thirty languages, can hide in plain sight. Infiltrate, assassinate, destabilize. They can take a whole country down in one night, and you'd never see them coming, they're pretty good,"
"Um, the others rebelled," I continue, looking at Steve.
"I was supposed to train them and during a training session they all rebelled,"
"I escaped during all the chaos, he was protecting someone, so I left unnoticed,"
"So you can both be controlled?" we nod, "How long has it been since you were last controlled (y/n)?"
I shrug unsure, "I don't know if I ever was. After that, I worked on this," I raise my hands revealing a blue orb, "It's a lot like Wanda's powers but..." I clench my fists appearing behind Bucky, making him jump slightly before clenching again this time back at my seat, "I can do that,"
Steve nods already knowing as Bucky lowers his eyebrows.
"So, how did you know (y/n), Buck?"
Giving Bucky a quick glance I go back to tapping my foot.
"She messed up my arm a few times," I press my lips together, "They punished her for it too...every single time,"
"That's not all though. Right?"
I clench my jaw looking over at Steve, "What else would there be?" Steve raises his hands in defense, "Oh and I think you made up for it with my broken rib,"
"It's broken? I thought-"
"Yeah well bionic arm even against super-soldier serum filled ribs," he shrugs, "Not really fair," he then looks at me a sincere look in his eyes, "And I'm sorry, (y/n), all you've ever seen is assassin Bucky,"
"The real Bucky is not like this at all (y/n), I promise," Steve reassures
"Hm, well do you need me for anything else Steve?"
"(y/n)," I raise my eyebrows, "No," he shakes his head.
"Great, I'll see you boys another day," I give them a salute, "Oh, and Cap can you send me the files for everyone on the train?" he nods as clench my fists, "Thanks,"
"Wait," I unclench turning to look at the voice, my eyebrows furrowed, "I hope one day you can meet the real Bucky,"
With a nod, I land back in my room too tired to grab the bag of chips I left downstairs. I flop onto my bed letting the darkness take over as my body tries to get some rest.
I'm woken up to a light shake, "What the-" I sit up to find Tony Stark's hand hovering over me.
"You're lucky I finished," he stands up giving Steve a nod before walking out.
"He was fixing your ribs,"
"I figured,"
"We're having a doctor talk to Buck tomorrow,"
"Cool,"
"You're going to be there,"
"I have plans,"
"What are they?"
"Not being there,"
He rolls his eyes, "You're going, don't make me make you,"
"That's low," he laughs, "Real low Captain," he continues laughing before walking out.
"Come eat something," he yells and I groan as I get out of bed.

Oh Hell No (Pt. I)
Pairing: BuckyxReader
Humorous angst, Smut in pt 2, some fluff too
Word Count: 1361
Plot: You and Bucky hate each other. Almost any time you’re together you end up fighting. It often turns into explosive fights, and the team is sick of it. But neither of you care. So you, nor Bucky do anything to rectify the problem. Especially Bucky. He uses a nickname for you that he knows makes you angrier than anything. And then…Something interesting happens.
Note: This is a two part series. It was supposed to be just a oneshot, but I felt like it was a little long for just one part. Either way, I wrote it all together so there will automatically be a link at the bottom for part two. Enjoy. ;)
Part II
When you woke up, you automatically had the instinct to not open your eyes. “Oh gosh, do not tell me that this is happening to me right now,” you thought to yourself as you continued to keep the will to keep your damn eyes closed, and to numb every sense in your body. The second one was impossible. You knew that the blankets that you were currently under were not yours. You knew that the direction of the sunlight that you could see through your closed lids was not hitting your face from the correct side. And you definitely couldn’t turn your senses off enough to not feel the dip in the bed to your left, to not hear the light steady breaths, or feel his body heat. Fuck. You slowly, and regrettably pried your left eye open. And sure enough, there he was. Bucky fucking Barnes laid right next to you just as clothed as you currently were. (You were naked). You slowly, and stealthily slid out of bed finding your underwear first. Thank goodness. You realized that your clothes were thrown all over the room. Next was your leather pants, one sock, and BINGO! Finally, your shirt across the room. It was like a treasure hunt, or a game of ‘Where’s Waldo’ for your clothes. You grabbed your shoes, deciding that it was not worth it to use up borrowed time to put them on. As you turned the doorknob and looked behind you, you noticed that he was beginning to wake up. Shit. For a good five seconds you froze staring at each other like deer in headlights. Especially since you saw Bucky coming to the shocking realization that what he thought had happened, happened not even 8 hours ago. But neither of you said anything. So, you just walked out of the room, narrowing your eyes as a silent message.   We never speak about this.
… You sat in the kitchen of the compound staring blankly at your toast. You were hungry. At least a little bit. And you knew that you needed to hydrate with that big glass of orange juice in front of you. You weren’t one for hangovers; you’ve never even had one in your life. But you could definitely feel the dehydration setting in after all of the drinking you had been doing … Actually come to think about it you only had two drinks. You just ended up sweating a lot… “DAMN IT!” You exclaimed, chucking the glass across the room. “Okay, I am not cleaning that up,” Sam stated as he walked into the kitchen. You didn’t even respond. You just stayed silent, only acknowledging  him with a quick nod. You could tell that he was pretty hungover. His eyes were half open, and he had a hand to his head indicating a nasty headache. The sound of glass shattering against a nearby wall probably didn’t help either. “You okay, Y/N?” He asked, half-assed. “Fine,” You replied, through gritted teeth. “Why would anything be wrong?” He narrowed his eyes at you, realizing that you had used up the rest of the juice by as a makeshift baseball. So, he settled for a water bottle to take back to his room. You knew that you would not be seeing him anytime soon until tomorrow. “Steve,” Sam sighed at Steve walking in while Sam was on his way back to his room. “Maybe you can fix her. She’s malfunctioning. Maybe put her in some rice, or something.” You rolled your eyes and scoffed. You wanted to laugh, but you were in too bad of a mood for that. “Hey, Y/N. Everything alright?” “Hey!” You replied, trying to sound chipper. You immediately realized that you definitely seemed like you were overcompensating. He rested his arms on the counter across from you giving you the ‘don’t give me that bullshit’ look. Steve really did know you that way. He was like an older brother to you. But as much as your appreciated that type of closeness to someone, you really hated the fact that you couldn’t lie to this guy. “Listen, it’s not big deal.” “Y/N,”  he replied. “Don’t act like most of us didn’t know you pulled a disappearing act on us. We literally sent you and Bucky to go get something together and neither of you came back. And now you really don’t seem like yourself. Did something happen that we don’t know about?” You continued to stare at him, feeling your eye begin to twitch. Do you tell him? Do you lie? What to do, what to do, dear God… “Hey, Steve did you find th—” There it was. That familiar voice that you dreaded to hear, walked into the open space that you and Steve shared. “Why now?” you thought. He paused when he saw you. Probably thinking the exact same thing that you were. And then…You started to feel something much worse than anything you could have imagined to feel on this morning. Something so much worse than regret, or disdain for who was standing in front of you. In fact, you would have settled for the worst hangover that ever existed in all of history instead of this. …You felt your pathetic little heart flutter. “Oh hell no,” you shuddered, shooting up as though the chair had turned into an electric chair. You then realized that you had actually blurted those words out, out loud. Had it not been for Steve’s eye raise, you might not have even noticed. “Okay,” Steve said in a firm tone. The type of tone that parents used to scold their children when they weren’t acting right. Granted, you weren’t his children. And you definitely weren’t like fighting siblings. Especially after what had happened last night. “You two need to work out whatever the hell is going on. This animosity that you have against each other is going too far.” If only he knew. You and Bucky continued to stare each other down. Steve of course couldn’t bear the silence. “You two got into one of your stupid fights again last night didn’t you? That’s why you both disappeared, right?” Neither of you broke away from the staring match. “You know what?” He continued. He suddenly walked over towards you, grabbed you by the upper arm, and pulled towards Bucky. He then grabbed Bucky by the collar of his t-shirt and continued to drag you to the home theatre. Like children. He then practically threw you in there, turned on the light and said, “Neither of you are getting out of here until you work it out. Everyone here is sick of your shit, and you two seem nowhere near resolving it on your own.” You were so angry, you felt your body begin to grow numb. This was not happening today of all days. “I’ll open the door and let you out once I figure you’ve had enough time to find common ground.”   You turned to Bucky, who’s jawline was tightening more and more by the second. If Winter Soldier stares could kill, Steve would be a dead man right now.   Steve shut the door, and you could hear a locking sound from the outside. “He…There’s a lock on the outside too?” You exclaimed. “Y/N,” “Aren’t you a fucking super soldier? Just kick the door down!” “We both know there’s no use of that. He’ll find a way to trap us both again into the same situation,” he stated. Why did he have to make sense? You rolled your eyes. “Hey listen,” he groaned. “I’m not much happier about this situation than you are.” “Really?” you sighed. “Is that what you thought last night?” “Interesting words for someone who kissed me first?” You gasped. You had actually forgotten about that part. In fact…until that moment you had totally blocked out the part of the story that happened before you ended up in bed together. Now you were at a loss for words. “I…But you…” “Oh you’re as much to blame as I am, sweetheart.” You furiously made your way over to him and cornered him. “Don’t you dare call me sweetheart again.”

Just A Dream - Part 1
Bucky Barnes x Reader Summary: Inspired by the song “Just A Dream” by Carrie Underwood Warnings: none Word Count: 679 Bucky Barnes felt like he was lost, almost missing something very important for near 70 years. So when Steve finally found him, he thought he’d found what he was looking for. It seemed that it only raised more questions in itself. Bucky sat with Steve and Sam in the open lounge room, watching some movie Bucky wasn’t paying any attention too. His mind simply wondered, trying to find something he couldn’t remember. Bucky’s attention didn’t come back until he heard 2 pairs of footsteps walking down a hall, Bucky knew every step taken in the compound, he didn’t recognise the steps being taken next to Stark’s, but they were familiar. Bucky turned in his seat, looking at the 2 figures that walked into the room, he immediately recognised Stark, not paying attention to him. No, it was the person next to him, a women that had Bucky’s breath catching in his throat. An almost chocking sound escaped his lips, causing every pair of eyes to fall onto the wide eyed man. “You okay Buck?” Steve asked from next to him. “Yeah, fine.” Bucky’s eyes never swaying from the women’s own pair of eyes. “James.” The women spoke barely above a whisper. “Gentlemen, I’d like to introduce you to Y/N. She’s our newest recruit.” Stark smiled at the women. “It’s nice to finally meet you Captain.” Y/N moved forward to the boys, hand out to shake. “It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Ma’am.” Steve shook her hand with a smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Y/N.” Sam shook her hand next. “You too.” Y/N smiled then moved to Bucky. “Hi.” She put her hand out of Bucky to take. “Hi.” Bucky took her hand and looked into her eyes, her familiar eyes. When the silence was becoming uncomfortable, Sam cleared his throat. “So, Y/N,” Sam began as she finally looked away from Bucky. “What’s your power?” “Oh, I’m not a fighter.” Y/N spoke. “I’m more of a medic.” “Yeah… she’s more then a medic.” Tony laughed. “Go on, show them.” With the roll of her eyes Y/N eyes focused back on the men in front of her and spoke: “Do any of you have any minor cuts, bruised or burns?” All 3 men looked at each other a little funny at first until Bucky slowly raised his flesh hand. “I was knifed last mission.” He used his metal arm to move his shirt up a little. “Just a minor thing really.” Y/N nodded and looked at where he had pulled his shirt up a little on the left side. The cut was small and seemed to move through something else on his skin there. “May I?” Y/N asked stepping forward, moving her hands closer. “Sure.” Bucky nodded. Y/N placed her hands over the cut, closing her eyes for a second before a light poured out of her hands. A white light shone, healing Bucky quiet quickly, before she moved her hand back a little and saw the mark under the cut. “Is that a tattoo?” Steve asked suddenly, getting a closer look at Bucky’s hip. “What?” Bucky looked down and sure enough a small tattoo imprinted his skin. “I’ve never noticed that before.” Bucky spoke to himself. “’My Angel. 01.09.15.’ Whose that?” Sam asked. “I don’t know.” Bucky spoke mostly to himself. “Someone very special I’d imagine.” Y/N looked at Bucky. “To get something like a tattoo about someone, they’d have to be very special.” Y/N seemed to be playing with a necklace with her left hand, which showed them all of the wedding band on her left hand. “Your married?” Steve asks, gesturing to the ring. “Um, yeah.” She smiled sadly. “What happened? If you don’t mind my asking.” Sam asked. “He’s a soldier.” Y/N looked at Bucky. “I haven’t seen him in over a year. I haven’t heard from him either.” “I’m so sorry.” Sam smiled at Y/N. “Thank you, but I’m fine.” She smiled. “I know I’ll see him again. He just has to find me.” Y/N spoke as if she was speaking to Bucky personally.
