Namjoon led the way up the steps of the porch, unlatching the door and allowing Hana to move in first. She was faced with a small sitting room, a large fireplace and mountains of books everywhere. There was a small basket big enough for Hana, sitting by the fireplace, a beautiful, knitted blanket within it. It was a warm and cozy place; an omega had obviously taken pride in the house.
The kitchen sat opposite, a work table in the middle with four chairs, a stove and bucket for washing. The only thing edible was milk, no doubt for Maya, a bucket sitting on the table with a set of rags. There was no doubt in Hana’s mind someone used to cook here, a few scorch marks and dents of the wooden table told her that. Once, there was love and care and warmth that surrounded the house.
“I’ll show you to the bedrooms, then I’ll get your things.” Namjoon gestured down the hallway. “This is the nursery.”
The nursery was rather large. Hana thought, maybe, the alpha had given his bedroom over for the pup to have. Furnished with a handmade crib, a rocking chair painted white, knitted blankets and embroidered pillows. Time and effort was given to this room. They must have been happy, excited for Maya’s arrival.
“Indoor bathroom.” Namjoon showed Hana a simple bathroom, smiling softly before moving to the end of the hall. “Our bedroom.”
Hana hesitated for only a moment, pulling Maya a little closer to her body as she passed the tall alpha. The bedroom was just as big as the nursery, though the windows were a little larger and a double bed was in the middle. Handcrafted blankets and pillows covered the top of the bed, two smaller dressers on either side. A vanity sat next to one of the windows, a tall dresser on the other side of the room to the windows.
Most of the care in the house came from the warmth the blankets gave, and the books that seemed to be scattered throughout. Other than that, Hana couldn’t find anything else personal to the alpha or pup. Not even bits and pieces of his omega lived here anymore. It was bare. Barren of any signs of love.
“You have a beautiful home.” Hana whispered, cleaning her throat as she turned towards the alpha. “Did your omega enjoy knitting? They are beautiful blankets.”
Namjoon seemed shy, rubbing the back of his neck; “No, she did not care much for knitting nor embroidery. They are gifts from my parents and her parents and the one in Hana’s basket in the sitting room was knitted by Jin.”
“Ah.” Was all Hana said, nodding as if she understood.
“Do… Do you enjoy it? Knitting?”
“Mmhm.” Hana nodded. “I had a habit of fidgeting when I was a pup, my mother put a pair of knitting needles in my hands and I haven’t looked back.”
“I’ll be sure to get you some materials when I get back to town.” Namjoon spoke loud enough for her to hear, though said it as if he were trying to remember that information. “I have a deal with a seller in town, Charlotte Bane. She owns the general store, lets me pay if I’ve got an extra lamb or even with a cow.”
“That is very generous of her.”
“My folks had a deal with her folks during harvest, Charlotte wanted to honor that when we both took over our folks.” Namjoon moved them back to the sitting room. “We usually split the profit from the harvest 80-20 which is fair. Whatever we sell during harvest goes over three households.”
Hana nodded along to Namjoon’s words, finally looking up at the tall alpha; “Do you normally buy fresh produce?”
“No. Jimin or Tae usually bring me food. Though they bought vegetables and meat for tonight.” Namjoon gestured towards the kitchen.
“I can cook.” Hana looked down to Maya who started to fuss. “I’ll give Maya her dinner then I’ll prepare something for us.”
“I’ll go out and check the sheep, then I’ll bring your trunk in.”
With that, Namjoon shed the jacket he had been wearing, placing the large hat on his head and walking back out. Setting Maya in her basket, Hana moved towards the kitchen, checking the meat and vegetables in an icebox. With a determined nod, Hana lifted the bucket and held tightly on the tags, making sure not to spill a drop. Maya seemed to know it was dinner time, her legs kicking out in happiness at the sight of Hana and the milk bucket.
It wasn’t long before the pup was full and sleeping in her basket by the fire that Hana had lit, and the omega was in the kitchen. She had found an old apron that looked brand new, tying it around her waist, and set to work on dinner. It wouldn’t be anything too fancy, everything thrown into a large cast iron pot to simmer in a broth. Hana sent a silent thank you to Jimin and Taehyung, leaving spices and herbs and bread  along with the meat and vegetables, she’d be sure to pay them back one day.
Namjoon came back just as Hana was setting the table, having lit a few lamps, Maya sat in her basket on the table. The pup gargled and giggled for attention from the omega, who happily gave it to her as she worked around the kitchen. The alpha couldn’t help smiling at the scene, nodding a little as he passed with Hana’s large trunk, sitting it at the end of the bed.
Back in the kitchen, Namjoon hung his hat next to the door, unbuttoning two buttons on his shirt and sitting at the table. He had not had a home cooked meal since his omega father was here, at least 10 years ago now. With wide eyes, Namjoon watched as Hana dished out a stew, a delicious smell wafting from the pot. Belly rumbling, embarrassingly loud, when the omega sat the bowl in front of him, he had enough home training to wait for her to sit before he started eating.
Hana couldn’t help watching Namjoon, who made a lot of appreciative noises as he ate, pulling apart bread and scooping as much as he could into his mouth. It was a wonder for the omega to see, the alpha eating with such gusto, eating through three large bowls of stew with enthusiasm. Hana ate a lot less than Namjoon, shifting between eating and playing with a giggling Maya who constantly tried to reach for the omegas food.
Namjoon watched the omega smile and talked to the pup, allowing the happy 8-month-old to taste the broth she had made for dinner. It was a sight to see, Maya reaching for the omega, Hana allowing the pup to grip onto her fingers, moving the spoon to her waiting and eager mouth. He never wanted to speak ill of the dead, but there was something about an omega who was maternal and loving towards a pup. There was one thing he would always remember about his late mate, she wasn’t a mother, not the way Hana so obviously was.
“There is a nightdress for Maya in the nursery.” Namjoon spoke from the table as he entertained the pup, Hana drying the soapy dishes she’d washed. “There is not much to choose from, unfortunately, but there is something.”
“Would,” Hana dried her hands on her apron, turning back to see Maya giving a gummy bite to her alpha fathers fingers. “Would you mind if I made her a few pieces of clothing?”
“Of course.” Namjoon leaned down, kissing his pup's head. “You are her mother now, I am sure she would love for you to dress her in your scent.”
“I have some money from… my last alpha.” Hana moved to sit back on the table, smiling at the babbling pup. “When would I be able to go into town and buy some fabrics?”
“I will be in the fields all day tomorrow, but I am sure Jimin and Tae would be happy to take you?” Namjoon moved his hand away from Maya, pushing the basket a little closer towards Hana. “They’ll be over tomorrow morning, they usually are. I will help get you all situated and you can get what you need. I will also give you some money for some groceries you will need. Maybe make a list tonight of anything you will need.”
“Of course. I will make a list after I put Maya down for bed.”
Namjoon merely nodded, watching Hana pick Maya up, the omega walking them slowly down the hallway towards the nursery, the alpha swearing he heard Hana singing softly. Even in the quiet, it felt a lot different now, as if the farm was filled with something, warmth maybe, or just different people. Or maybe it was the fact that Hana was so different, even after tragedy and loss and uprooting her whole life, she was still able to smile. And maybe that made Namjoon and Maya lucky, to have someone like Hana accept them for what they were in their entirety.
By the time Hana came back from the nursery, Namjoon had moved into the sitting room, reading a rather thick book. He gestured towards a pen and piece of paper on a small table, next to two cups of tea he had made in the time she was gone. Taking the apron off, hanging it over one of the kitchen chairs, Hana sat on the large two seater couch, taking a sip from her own tea first. With a smile of thanks to the alpha, Hana started on her list of things, which was rather extensive by the time she was done.
Thinking better of it, Hana started crossing out things that weren’t immediately necessary, that she could get another time. The last thing she wanted to do was spend all her alphas money, she would not be an omega go waste coins. So crossing out a few things, focusing on what she would need for Maya and Namjoon first and foremost. The list became significantly shorter, though Hana made sure to fold the first list in half, reminding herself to make sure to put it somewhere safe. Hana knew she would need it one day, that she would need to get the rest of what she would need before winter came.
“Have you got everything?” Namjoon had sat his book down, gesturing towards the two notes of paper in Hana’s hands.
“Ah, yeah.” Hand folded the first list again. “Made a mistake on the first one.”
“That can happen.” Namjoon stood with their two cups. “Just leave it on the table and I’ll leave a bag of coins with it tomorrow morning.”
Hana nodded, standing with Namjoon and moving around him, washing up the cups and teapot, setting the shorter list on the table. Making sure Namjoon wasn’t watching, Hana took one of the, obviously unused from the line of dust collected, cookbooks from the shelf. Securing the longer list within the pages of the cookbook, Hana set the book back into its place, still making sure it went unnoticed.
“How about you go get ready for bed?” Namjoon moved towards the front door. “I am going to make sure the barn and animals are good.”
“Did you need anything? For… later?”
Namjoon looked questioningly for a moment before catching up, flushing and shuffling on his feet, not making eye contact; “Right. Yes. Okay. Sure.”
“Is everything in the bedroom?”
“Bottom draw in the dresser on the left side.”
Namjoon mumbled before looking at Hana for only a moment, nodding quickly, only to open and close the door quickly in his escape. Hana couldn’t help smiling a little, wondering why the alpha blushed as if he were a virgin and having an omega for the first time. Though it only had her more determined, wanting her new alpha to enjoy their wedding night, even if she was his second omega. Moving through the hall, peaking through to check on Maya who was still sound asleep, before opening the bedroom door.
It was easy enough for Hana to pack away her meager things, hiding the tin can in the bottom draw of the dresser under some clothing. Changing from her day clothing, Hana didn’t bother with too much, merely putting a cotton nightdress over her body. Washing her face and brushing her teeth, Hana moved back to the bedroom, sitting at the vanity and running her brush through her long, blonde hair. For a while she just looked at herself in the mirror, watching the bristles of the brush move through her hair, over and over again.
Somehow through the haze of sleepiness, no doubt drowsiness from the day's travel and events, Hana stood and moved to the left side of the bed, retrieving what they would need for the night. Namjoon had everything here, a few vials of slick, a bag of herbs that Hana recognized as forms of birth control but would not be needed for Hana. Setting a vial of slick on the dresser, as well as filling a basin with warm water that would cool, and a few rags, Hana could do nothing more but wait.

The cart was quiet for all of three seconds.
“We are so excited for another omega to join us.” Mr. Min gushed, his caramel scent surrounding them all.
“I’m excited to be here, Mr. Min.”
“Jimin, please.” He patted Hana’s leg. “We are all rather close out here, very informal.” Jimin leaned back against the rocking cart, rubbing his belly. “My alpha, Yoongi, and I are only about 15 minutes to the east of Joon’s farm. It is an easy enough walk once you know the land.”
“And not one for a heavily pregnant omega to walk.” Yoongi, Hana guessed, muttered loud enough for them all to hear, Jimin laughing as he blushed.
“Namjoon has been needing a bit of help with Maya.” Jimin looked down towards the still sleeping pup. “How did you do that?”
“Do what?”
“Keep her so quiet? She has done nothing but cry and fuss the past few weeks.”
“My omega mother birthed six children, plus she took in as many pups that needed a home.” Hana recalled the memories of her family. “By the time I was 11, I was taking care of pups with her. She taught me how to handle them and calm them, it is easy enough. I can teach you if you would like?”
“I would love that.” Jimin gestured towards his stomach. “I need all the help I could get.”
“Your first?”
“Mmh,” Jimin pointed towards Mr. Kim. “Taehyungie here had twins almost three years ago, but we never knew how to calm them.”
“The most obvious trick is to remain calm.” Hana couldn’t help laughing a little at the disbelief on Jimin and Taehyung’s face. “I know it's easier said than done, but staying calm is the best thing you can do. Pups will take on our emotions.”
“You must be excited then,” Taehyung smiled softly, gesturing towards Hana’s still flat stomach. “To have your own pup.”
Hana didn’t mean for her scent to sour, the bitter scent causing Maya to squirm and push away from her chest, the twins scrunching their own noses beside her. Taking a deep breath, Hana forced her scent to retreat, everything her omega mother had taught her allowed her to become scentless. It was daunting to witness a scentless omega, but it was essential for the wellbeing and mental state of a pup around a distressed omega. It was just as intimidating for any other omega or alpha to witness a scentless omega, Hana catching Namjoon’s eyes as he looked back to check on her.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to bring it up.”
“It’s not like it’s a secret.” Hana shrugged, fixing Maya in her arms, moving the pup to rest on her shoulder, arm under her, hand flat on her back, rubbing in soothing circles. “I’ve always wanted a family, so I’m happy about finally getting to become a mother… well, a mother twice.”
“I am so glad it’s you.” Jimin smiled widely, watching Hana hold Maya a little tighter as they hit a bump in the road. “You’ll be good for them.”
Giving a small smile, Hana was just thankful the conversation moved away from her and more onto the farms that would be her home. Jimin and Taehyung provided most of the conversation, the alphas turning every now and then to offer a few words. Hana stayed mostly quiet, moving Maya into different positions along the bumpy road, talking softly with Taehyung’s twins. The twins were both alphas, highly energetic and curious about the world, if hanging half out of the cart was anything to go by, causing Taehyung to stop half way through a conversation and scold the two three-year-old boys.
The journey, long and rough, was coming to an end when Jimin pointed out the large cabin on the horizon. Hana watched the fields of wheat turn to fields of trees full of fruit before coming to a long, winding dirt road they turned down. The closer they got to the cabin, the more Hana was able to make out, like a large barn not 50 feet away from the front door of the cabin. Large and wooden, it was obviously built the same time as the cabin, it was cared for, just like most of the farm was.
“The garden…?”
“Ah, yes.” Taehyung couldn’t help giggling with Jimin, both of them looking towards Namjoon who seemed to hunch in front of them. “Joonie is good with animals, good with farming.”
“Not so good with gardening.” Jimin finished with a smirk.
“Or building… mostly.”
“Or cooking.”
“Yes, thank you, Jimin and Taehyung.” Namjoon spoke up from the front, stopping the horse and cart at the front porch of the cabin. “That’ll be enough Namjoon bashing today.”
“With your new omega, we have plenty to tell her, Joonie.” Taehyung stepped over the end of the cart, jumping down and reaching out for his twins. “We have to make sure she understands who it is she is married to.”
“By making me seem… alpha-ish?”
“By making sure Hana knows to take care of you.” Jimin waited, allowing Yoongi to help him down off the cart with a small kiss to his cheek, before Jimin turned to Hana. “Which, by the way, isn’t that hard to do. Just mostly make sure he doesn’t set the house on fire.”
“Fire?” Hana stared wide eyed at Namjoon, who reached for Maya. “You’ve set the house on fire?”
Namjoon stared open-mouthed for a moment, before glaring at a giggling Jimin; “Once. I forgot to watch the eggs.”
Hana’s eyes looked down to Maya in her chest, wanting to pull her away from her father for a moment, not fully trusting his outstretched arms. Much less did she want a repeat of that happening, of the cabin before her eyes crumbling to ash because of forgetfulness. Though with a sigh, Hana handed Maya over to Namjoon, who held her tightly for a moment as he watched Hana jump from the back of the cart. Seeing the omega eye his hold on the pup, Namjoon immediately handed Maya back to Hana with a small smile, looking back towards his friends.
“Need help getting home?” Namjoon asked Yoongi and the female alpha, who turned out to be Taehyung’s alpha.
“We’ll be fine.” Yoongi waved the tall alpha away. “I’m such Jimin wants one last walk through the fields before it's not gonna happen anymore.”
“But-”
“No ‘buts’.” Yoongi wrapped an arm around his omega. “You are 6 months pregnant, I do not want you walking around without me.”
“Did you know it is good to move around when you are pregnant?” Hana absentmindedly spoke, focusing on the awake pup in her arms. “Exercise keeps the omega strong and the pup active in the womb.”
“Hana, please know I love you.” Jimin moved forward, gaining Hana’s attention and hugging the other omega tightly. “Also, please remind my alpha I can go for walks.”
“Sorry.” Hana avoided Jimin’s alphas eyes.
“It’s okay. Are you sure?” He came forward, seeming to hang onto Hana’s words. “Omegas are fine to walk around?”
Hana nodded; “Nothing with hard labor or anything that would be stressful. But walking is a good way to keep an omega strong.”
“How do you know all this?” Taehyung’s alpha, holding one of the twins in her arms, asked.
“I was a healer… before.” Hana shrugged. “Birthing pups is a dream compared to patching the wounded.”
“Well there are plenty of pregnant omegas around here.” Jimin rubbed his bulging belly. “Nothing else to do in the winter months.”
“Oh god.” Namjoon sighed loudly, shaking his head as he moved to unhitch the horses.
“That is our queue to leave.” Taehyung’s alpha laughed loudly along with Taehyung, who nuzzled against his shorter alpha. “It was lovely to meet you Hana. Welcome to the family.”
With waves and goodbyes and promises to see each other soon, Hana watched the small group walk away together into the distance. She stayed where she was, losing sight of them, before looking back towards Namjoon, who had situated the cart in the barn. He had left the two horses in the closest field, allowing them to graze and walk free, one of them even moving closer to the field with a few cows grazing. The cows, completely unbothered, continued to roam, though there were only a few of them, not enough to be a dairy farm, at least.
“Hana?” Namjoon stood in front of her, smiling softly.
“What type of farm is this?”
“Ah,” Namjoon turned his body a little, pointing back towards the fields of fruit. “We grow wheat, which will be harvested soon, we’ve also got beets, beans, potatoes and sweet potatoes that we share with Yoongi.” He pointed to the way the group had walked before. “After harvest we’ll plant pumpkins and there's an orchid that we share with Sara the other way. It is a working farm, so we try to have as much produce as we can.” At Hana’s slight confusion, Namjoon smiled. “Taehyung’s alpha. Even the cows give us fresh milk all year round. And I’ve been talking to Seokjin and Beth, they were gonna sell me a few chickens, get us fresh eggs as well.”
“Chickens?” Hana seemed to perk up at the idea, Namjoon noticing the sudden heightened scent. “I used to raise chickens. Maybe I could help with them?”
“Maybe you could.” Namjoon smiled at the thought of Hana settling in comfortably. “Biggest revenue is the sheep out in the back paddock. We get wool and meat from them.”
“And your personal garden?” Hana turned towards the house, pointing towards the overgrown and dead garden. “You don’t get much fresh produce to cook, do you?”
“I don’t cook.”
Hana nodded, having already come to the same conclusion after the others had said something; “May I use the garden?”
“It is yours to have.” Namjoon pocketed his hands, shrugging. “Best I can do is haul stuff in and out for you, the garden is yours.”
“Thank you, Namjoon.”
“Let's get inside, I’ll show you around. I’m sure pup is getting hungry.”

CHAPTER TWO
Summary:
Hana was mated to the Alpha of her dreams. He was everything to her. Then the war came. Uprooting her whole life, Hana moved to Mercy to marry an Alpha who had recently lost his Omega. Becoming the mother of a newborn and pregnant with her own, Hana moving out west was only the beginning.
Namjoon was stressed. Losing his Omega to a sickness. Not being able to take care of his pup. Being offered a marriage and mating with an Omega in a similar situation, Namjoon too it.
Life together was a second chance, as free as wildflowers.

After two days' travel, Hana welcomed the train station at Salvation, a few hours trip from Mercy. The station was relatively new, fully equipped with a tearoom, a lady's lounge and four station hands that were well dressed. Salvation had better facilities then Darie, where her journey started, but not as good as her stop in the city.
Though stepping off the train, carry bag clutched in one hand, the other making sure she didn’t fall, Hana was just glad to be on solid ground. The smoke of the train filled her lungs, coughing into a handkerchief, Hana tried to look through the small buildup of people. She was searching for Yuri, Evander’s omega sister, who was expecting Hanson the 11 o’clock train from the city.
“Hana Thompson?”
Turning at the sweet voice, Hana was met by a beautifully tall omega, smelling of fresh baked goods and syrup. This was obviously Yuri. She and Evander shared the same dark hair, the same dark eyes, the same half smile he always gave her when he was listening to her speak.
“Mrs. Kang?”
“Please, call me Yuri.” She moved towards Hana, taking her slim hand into her warm one. “We are sisters, even if…”
Both of them seemed to swallow around a lump in their throats, nodding in acknowledgment of what it was that tied them together. Instead, Yuri turned and had someone fetch her trunk and load it into the carriage waiting for them. Still standing on the platform, Yuri smiled at Hana, both of them smiling through shared tears.
“Mr. Kim is waiting for us at the church.” Yuri took Hana’s arm, both of them walking through the station and towards the carriages. “I thought it better for his pup to stay indoors until you travel home.”
With a nod of understanding, Hana was helped into the carriage by Yuri’s footman, who had strapped her trunk to the back, bowing slightly before Yuri was perched next to her. It was an uneventful little town, from the carriage window at least, Hana had seemed to stumble upon. The carriage jerking as they took off, leaving the edge of town and moving slowly down the Main Street of Salvation.
Though small, it was lively and packed with store fronts and smiling people, pups running around and their parents laughing fondly at their antics. Hana could make out the church, a tall white building, a large gold cross on top, situated in the middle of town. She thought they were headed there, so it was a surprise to Hana when they came to a stop a few buildings before the church, Yuri taking her hand happily.
“I couldn’t be there for you and Evan… and it’s one of my biggest regrets.” Yuri smiled sadly, her sweet scent souring a little. “But I can be here for you now. Would you allow me to buy you a dress to marry Mr. Kim in?”
Hana thought of refusing, the words on the top of her tongue, instead; “Thank you, Yuri. I would truly appreciate it.”
Yuri gave a squeal of excitement, wrapping her thin arms around Hana before both of them were out of the carriage and bounding towards a dress shop. Hana couldn’t help smiling at Yuri’s obvious excitement, causing warmth to spread through her at her sister's affection for her. She may be marrying another alpha, but that doesn’t mean she’d lose all of Evander, Hana may get to keep more of her alpha.
“I had come ahead and talked to the seamstress; she should have something for you.” Yuri stage whispered as she opened the door.
“Ah, Mrs. Kang,” a short woman with graying hair and glasses on the tip of her nose didn’t bother to look up, obviously having scented them. “I’ve just finished your order, would you like to come, and see?”
“Thank you, Mrs. Singer.” Moving through the shop, Hana admired all the fine silks and intricate lace material, resisting the urge to reach out and run her fingers over them. “This is Hana. My sister.”
“It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mrs. Singer.” Hana smiled politely at the elderly omega.
“The pleasure is all mine, dear.” Mrs. Singer finally looked up, assessing Hana. “Yes, the measurements weren’t too far off, I’d say I have to take it in barely an inch.”
Hana was soon whisked away and out of her travel clothes, which she had folded neatly into a small pile, and was dressed in a beautiful off-white satin dress. It was beautiful, and Mrs. Singer had been right, she’d only needed to take it in an inch before Yuri sat her on a chair in front of a large vanity. The omega worked on her hair, making sure Hana was ready, her salty sea breeze scent seemed to be producing more of the sweet milk at the omegas care.
“There.” Yuri pinned the veil into Hana’s hair. “Perfect.”
“Thank you.”
“You don’t have to thank me.” The slim omega smiled warmly. “We’re family.” The two omegas stayed like that for a moment, Yuri’s warm hands sitting on Hana’s shoulders, before they both took a deep breath. “Are you ready?”
“As I’ll ever be.”
Yuri helped Hana to stand, fussing over her dress as they waved at Mrs. Singer, going back out onto the street, but not towards the carriage that waited for them; “We’ll walk from here.”
Hana nodded and took Yuri’s arm, pushing her shoulders back, feeling everyone in town's eyes turning towards them as they walked from the dress shop to the church. A few people stopped them, speaking to them both, congratulating Hana on the obvious wedding about to take place and speaking with Yuri. Though Hana’s attention was on the three tall men that stood outside of the church, talking amongst themselves while watching Hana and Yuri.
As they got closer, Hana realized the three men were in fact omegas, each one as strikingly beautiful as the next, sending her soft smiles. The tallest of the three smiled wide and boxy, reaching for a pup who was running carefree around the church garden, chasing another pup. Another spoke to another pup, obviously the omegas pup and a few years older from the running pups, both of them with the same full lips and eye for detail at their beautiful clothing. The third omega was the shortest of the group and holding his protruding belly, having completely foregone anything too formal to wear over his large bump, though still smiling wide, eyes half-moons.
“Mrs. Kang, hello.” The shortest omega finally spoke as they approached, the running pups stopping to stare wide eyed at Hana. “And you must be Mrs. Thompson?”
“Mr. Min, it’s wonderful to see you again.” Yuri smiled politely. “Hana, this is Mr. Min, Mr. Kim and Mr. Kim.”
“We are friends of Namjoon’s. We live out in Mercy as well.” One of the Mr. Kim’s offered a blinding smile.
“Yes, we are a tight knit community out in the middle of nowhere,” Mr. Min rubbed at his belly. “We look forward to welcoming you into that community.”
“Thank you.” Was all Hana could say.
“Well let us not stand around gossiping, making our alphas wait any longer.” Yuri laughed a little along with everyone. “We have a wedding to attend.”
The omegas rounded up the pups, who were all still staring up at Hana in wide eye admiration, ushering them along to their alphas. One of the Mr. Kim’s stayed behind with Hana and Yuri, speaking softly to his elder pup with a loving smile. They watched the pup run off, skirt pulled up slightly, so she didn’t step on it, only to return a few moments later with flowers.
“Go on.” Mr. Kim nodded encouragingly.
“Mrs. Thompson,” The pup shuffled towards Hana, who smiled softly at the nervous pup. “Papa and I thought you’d look beautiful with these. They are from our garden.”
“They are rather beautiful.” Hana only smiled wider at the pup’s own wider smile. “Thank you very much.”
“I wrapped it myself.” She spoke with a little more pride in her words. “Papa let me pick out the ribbons, and I made it all by myself.”
“Did you? Well this is one of the most beautifully wrapped bouquets I’ve ever seen.”
A blush rose on the pup’s ears and neck, handing Hana the rustic and beautiful bouquet, before moving back to stand next to her Papa. Hana watched as the omega leaned down to whisper to his pup, obviously telling her how proud he was before she was off inside the church. The tall omega stood a little straight, smiling thankfully towards Hana, stepping a little closer towards the two omegas.
“Thank you, Mrs. Thompson, for accepting her gift.”
“Of course, Mr. Kim.”
“She was nervous about giving it to you.” Mr. Kim looked back into the church. “When she heard that her Uncle Joon was being remarried, she prayed to every goddess that you would enjoy flowers.”
Hana brushed her fingers through the soft petals with a longing smile; “I love flowers. I had a garden back in Darie that I always loved.”
“She will be excited to hear about that.”
“Jinnie. Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Kang,” Mr. Min called from the church doors. “We’re ready for you now.”
Those words seem to make time go faster. Hana was walking through the church, down the aisle and standing next to Mr. Kim, who stood tall and commanding as any alpha she had ever met before. He was pleasantly handsome, and smelled strongly of a forest after the rain, except for the slight hint of peaches she could smell.
It took no time at all before Hana was, once again, married. Though this time, somehow to her own amazement, she was also a mother and a mother-to-be.
Signing the marriage certificate with Mr. Kim, Hana took his offered arm as they exited the church, being joined by the rest of their party. Hana was soon introduced to everyone, though she wasn’t able to retain much of the information thrusted at her. Not when her new alpha was giving a small bundle, smelling like the sweetest peaches, and wide awake as they stared at their alpha father. Their party had all turned away, obviously giving them some form of privacy, as Hana and Mr. Kim finally gave introductions.
“Hana, please.” She spoke softly after the alpha called her by her first married name. “We are married and are to be mated at some point. It only seems fitting to use my maiden name.”
“Namjoon.” The alpha’s voice was deep and dreamlike, just as his stare at his pup. “And this is Maya. Named for her mother.”
“It's a beautiful name.” Hana looked down towards the pup, who seemed to be reaching towards her. “You have been blessed with a beautiful pup.”
“Would you like to hold her?” Namjoon offered the pup towards her.
With a determined nod, Namjoon placed the pup in Hana’s arms, who sighed happily to be in the arms of an omega. She had obviously been passed around each omega’s arms, no doubt having spent time in Mr. Min’s arms longest, as his milky scent was strongest. Maya yawned, stretching her small hands, before nestling against Hana’s chest, effectively falling asleep in the omega's arms.
“I guess she’s comfortable.” Namjoon couldn’t help laughing in disbelief. “I haven’t been able to get her to sleep so easily.”
“I have no doubt you have done everything you could have.”
Namjoon gave a small smile, Hana noticing dimples as he did, before they were interrupted by Yuri, offering them a meal before they were to be off. They made it to a cafe, which had been closed for the day as per Yuri’s request, for their party to file in and take the seats provided. Maya slept atop Hana, even as she tried to eat, though she gave up after a while, so as not to wake the sleeping pup who was obviously tired. It caused Namjoon to offer to help her, lifting food to her mouth, never letting her linger on anything too long, merely swallowing before he had another sandwich ready for her.
“Before we leave,” Namjoon spoke quietly to Hana, both of them watching their guest laugh and speak loudly. “Would you like to change? It’s a rather long journey and I’d rather you were comfortable.”
“Yes, thank you.” Hana looked down towards the sleeping pup, taking the shawl from her shoulders and scenting it. “Wrap her in this, I’m sure she’ll stay calmer with it.”
Namjoon looked touched, nodding as he took the shawl and then opened his arms for the pup; “Would you like help getting out of that dress?” Before Hana answered, Namjoon was waving Mr. Kim over. “Jin, would you mind helping Hana change for the trip home?”
“Of course,” The omega smiled. “Were your things still on Mrs. Kang’s carriage?”
“Yes, I’ll have Yuri come with us, if you don’t mind?” With an affirmation, Hana gestured for Yuri, who smiled and came towards them, Hana standing and reaching for the bouquet, setting it before Namjoon. “Hold onto this please. I want to keep it.”
Namjoon merely nodded, Hana missing the softening look of Seokjin as the three omegas left the cafe to help Hana change. It was easy enough, the three omegas taking a change room in the dress shop, Hana dressing back in her travel clothing and having the wedding dress packed safely. Hana waited as Seokjin called for a few of the alphas to move her trunk and dress to Namjoon’s cart, her carry bag being placed into the back as well. Hana gave Yuri a long hug, promising that once she was settled, she’d invite Yuri out for tea, or she’d come into town if she were allowed.
One of the Alpha’s helped Hana into the back of the cart, Namjoon lifting Maya into her arms once she was settled into the back. Hana was only mildly surprised when Mr. Min was helped into the cart, clutching his stomach as he sat next to her, along with Mr. Kim and the two pups that had been playing. Once they were all comfortable, Hana saw three alpha sit in the front, Namjoon took the reins, a smaller alpha to his left and a female alpha to his right, and they were off.

She saw the Pack Alpha and Pack Omega coming from her window.
They were walking slowly, hand in hand, approaching her cabin Evander had built for her all those years ago. It was one thing to be visited by the Pack Alpha and Omega, it was another to have them over three times a week. Especially considering Hana wasn’t mated to any of their children, nor was she anything special to warrant such visits.
Though the war made her so.
Sighing over the large steel bucket, shaking her wet hands and wiping them on the apron she wore, Hana moved from the small kitchen. Her boots echoed on the wooden floors, the old boards creaking under any weight, moving towards the knocking. Opening the door with a nod, no one spoke, not even when Hana moved to allow the two older men into her home.
“I made tea.” Hana mumbled, closing the door and following them through the cabin. “Have a seat.”
Alpha Jihoon took a seat at the small kitchen table, smiling softly towards Hana, who ignored it as she moved to the kitchen. Omega Alec stayed standing, offering to take the biscuits she’d made to the table, Hana moving towards the fire. Picking up the end of the apron, she wrapped it around the handle of the iron kettle, skilfully pouring three cups of tea and hanging it back over the fire. It was only then she sat. Silently groaning at the pressure on her back.
“How’ve you been, Hana?” Omega Alec asked, pushing blond hair from his eyes, which Hana wished he hadn’t because now she could see every emotion. “Are you warm enough?”
Merely nodding, Hana brought the steel cup closer towards her, just for something to do; “Why have you come today?”
“We wanted to check on you.” Omega Alec leaned across the table, giving her hand a quick squeeze. “Also, to deliver some news.”
“Have you heard of Mercy?” Alpha Jihoon finally spoke, bringing Hana’s sad eyes to his soft smiling face.
“The town? It’s about a two day's travel away.”
“Yes.” Alpha Jihoon took one of the biscuits, sniffing it approvingly before biting into it, only to drop the rest when his mate smacked his arm, regaining his attention. “Evander’s sister lives there with her mate.”
Omega Alec shook his head disapprovingly, sighing softly; “She mated an Alpha out there, and as she is the only living relative of your alpha,” Hana couldn’t help flinching. “We contacted her and wanted her thoughts on what she’d like to do. And she’s offered a solution.”
Looking between the two, neither broke contact with her. They had obviously considered everything; without a doubt they’d planned. What else was there to do to a widowed omega?
“There is an alpha in Mercy who is in need of an omega to help raise his pup.” Omega Alec’s hand squeezed again, continually reassuring. “He has offered to claim and raise your pup as his own, as long as you claim and raise his pup as your own.”
Hana thought about it for a few quiet moments in the house her alpha built. It was a strong house. It had weathered storms, bouts of flooding and two separate fires. Yet it still had the scorch mark on the bedroom door from when Evander dropped a candle. The curtains were still the ugliest shade of green, Hana insisted on her alpha. Their house still smelled of him. Even after a month.
But she knew her options.
“Did she send his name?” Hana asked, gripping the cup tighter.
“She did.” Alpha Jihoon reached into his pocket, producing a rather thick envelope. “This has your train ticket and enough money to last you the two-day journey. It also has a letter from your sister-in-law and the alpha.”
“When do I leave?”
“Tomorrow morning on the 9 o’clock train.”
Nodding once in understanding, Hana sat the envelope next to her cup. Staring at it, her vision blurred, blinking to stop the tears. Sipping the still scolding tea, Hana started to make a list in her head of everything she’d have to take. Everything in their house wasn’t even hers anymore, it was another omega's.
“We’ll come fetch you tomorrow morning. We’ll see you to the train station.” Omega Alec’s eyes drifted to the unopened envelope, before back to Hana.
“Thank you.” Hana bowed a little in thanks. “I’ll make sure to pack tonight.”
Pack Alpha Jihoon and Pack Omega Alec hadn’t stayed too long after that, eating a few more biscuits and taking a little before leaving. Hana couldn’t help letting out a deep breath of relief, bolting the door behind them. She only had a few more hours with Evander. After that, she would never return.
Hana packed slowly. Her trunk at the end of the double bed, thrown open, filling with what little she’d need. The few work skirts she owned, one large winter jacket and a second pair of boots; she left her travel clothes and coat out. Over the years Hana had acquired a few books, Evander had encouraged her to read and learn. She didn’t know if her new alpha would, but it would be something to read to the pups.
Touching her still flat stomach, Hana knew the biggest thing she’d take of Evander was their pup. Still growing inside her, a constant reminder that he was still with her. Even as she tucked away the only photo she had of him, safely inside their favourite book.
It was when the night was settled, the soft breeze in the trees surrounding her, the candles burning, did Hana return to the kitchen. The envelope still sat on the table, completely ignored. Hana ate bread and salted meat for dinner, cleaning everything spotless for her last night.
Before going to her room, Hana bent at the cupboard, taking out a tin can she’d hidden. When the war between her pack and another started, Hana had started saving. She always knew she would have to leave; she just always assumed her alpha would be with her. In a small tin can, covered in dust and a few spiderwebs, was enough money to start her life over. Though she would never use it, not for that at least.
Opening the tin can, Hana checked its contents thoroughly. She had added, not just money, but a few treasures that she didn’t ever want to lose. A ring Evander had given her, a letter he wrote from the war, a necklace her mother gave her when she mated. It was everything she truly owned now.
Wrapping the tin can in her apron, which she would be taking with her, Hana hid it in her carry bag. It was secure and wouldn’t rattle, comfortable under a change of clothes. If everything else was to go missing in her travels, she would at least have the tin can.
Laying down to sleep one last time in their house, Hana held her alphas sleep shirt to her nose and allowed herself to cry. It was the only time she would be able to, because tomorrow she will be on her way to a new life. In two days, she will be a mother to a pup and an omega to a new alpha. So, she cried.

Pure Silliness
Yoongi x Female reader
Tumblr media
The night was still young and as the full moon rose, they said goodbye to the other members.
"Goodnight, Hyung." Yoongi said to Jin as the elder got into the car with his girlfriend.
"Night, Yoongi." Jin waved as he shut the door.
"Can we take a walk in the park?" She asked. Yoongi turned to look at his girlfriend and smiled contently.
"I'll have the driver meet us at the furthest exit that way you can enjoy it more." Yoongi said as he kissed her forehead softly.
She watched him talk to the driver and put her hand over the gold locket he'd given her that night at dinner. It held their first picture on one side. On the other was a picture of her family. He'd told her that this way she could have all those she loved close to her heart. He gave her his arm as they walked into the park.
"You know for this to hold all those I love, I'd need another picture for your brothers." She said leaning her head on his shoulder. He chuckled and stopped taking it off her and opening it up completely. She looked up at him as tears sprang to her eyes.
"I had this made for you, I wanted everyone to always be with you, I know you miss your family when you're here, and miss us when you're home." Yoongi said closing it. As he put it on her again she hugged him tightly.
He held her close, closing his eyes. Her hands ran up and down his back making him sigh. She looked up and caressed his cheek. The depth and warmth of his eyes had always held her captive. He used this to kiss her long and slow. She wrapped her arms around him more.
Once they started walking again she leaned against his arm. He loved when she did this. It made him feel like a prince. Like he was escorting his love in the gardens of his palace.
"Hey, you ok Yoongi-ah?" She asked softly looking up. He blinked and nodded. She noticed that he'd gotten a far off look in his eyes. "You know if you'd wanted to go home we didn't have to do this, there's a exit right here. Call your driver and we'll just go home." She said.
He stopped and turned to her taking her hand. "Why do you sound so panicked and upset?" Yoongi asked looking into her eyes. They looked as if she was so sad now.
"I feel like you did this for me but now you're shoulder is hurting and you're just doing this to make me happy when you don't have too." She explained.
"I am doing this for you and I'm happy to keep walking." Yoongi said. She rubbed his hand and shoulder. He lifted her chin and smiled. "My shoulder is just fine, I was thinking of something silly." Yoongi said.
She smiled and kissed him softly. "Tell me please." She giggled. He laughed and brought her close his hands on her waist. She shivered and he brought her closer.
"I felt like a prince escorting his lady around the gardens of my palace just now with how we're walking." Yoongi said looking away blushing a little. She giggled and cupped his cheeks leaning up kissing him passionately. He locked his arms around her as her fingers run into his hair. It was longer now and she loved it.
He pulled away and she nuzzles his jawline. "You are Yoongi, I'm in love with one of the last Korean Princes." She sighed. He laughs and shakes his head.
They got to the exit and the car wasn't there so they stood next to a building. She took out her phone and kissed his cheek. "Can I take a picture?" She asked. He looked at her and sighed.
"Sure." Yoongi said. She moved and he looked off watching for the car.
"Yoongi look at me please." She called. He didn't move. She laughed.
"Nope." Yoongi laughed. He had this slight smirk on his face.
She took the picture and just looked at him. So many times she looked at him and knew that she didn't deserve him. He was so handsome with his raven black hair and deep warm brown eyes. The locket and the walk was just two more reasons she didn't deserve him. She couldn't give him anything but her love.
"Jagiya, are you ok?" Yoongi called to her. She looked away as tears threatened to spill from her eyes. He went to her and thumbed away her tears. "Talk to me." Yoongi whispered as he nuzzled her neck.
"This is pure silliness, you are a prince and I'm...I'm not worthy of you." She breathed out in a rush. He looked at her and framed her face.
"Then let's always be silly, I am not a prince, and you are the only one worthy of me because you don't love Suga or Agust D, you love Min Yoongi." Yoongi said firmly. She blinked at him and he kissed her forehead.
"All I can give you is my heart Yoongi, I've always felt like that wasn't enough." She whispered. He sighed and pulled her tight against his chest.
The car pulled up and out popped Tae. "My car broke down, can you two take me home please?" Tae asked. Everyone laughed and Yoongi kissed her forehead again. They turned and Yoongi took her hand tighter than normal.
"Of course." Yoongi smiled. Tae smiled his famous boxy grin and he opened the door letting them get in. She put her head on Yoongi's shoulder and closed her eyes. Tae smiled at them and Yoongi smiled back. "Pure Silliness huh?" Yoongi whispered.
After Tae got out Yoongi kissed her nose. "Hey, I don't know if you're asleep but you're wrong." Yoongi said. She looked up and he caressed her cheek with the back of his hand.
"Am I?" She breathed. He leaned down and brushed his lips against hers.
"Jagiya, i love you, I am in love with you so if that's pure silliness then I'll forever be silly." Yoongi whispered to her lips. She sighed and he captured her lips with his. She gripped his jacket and he pulled back.
"I am wrong, I love you so much and that's all that matters, that's all that's ever mattered." She whispered. He pulled her into his lap as he caressed her cheek.
"That's all I've ever wanted from you, jagiya." He assured her. She hugged him tightly. He nuzzled her neck and she looked down.
As their eyes met it was like the first time all over again. He pulled her lips to his as she sat down on his lap more. Her fingers tangled in his hair as his lips moved against hers. He thrust his tongue into her mouth not bothering to lick her lips until she allowed him inside. She gasped and shivered against his chest. Their tongues circled and danced with each others.
He pulled away and she whined against his lips. "I love you jagiya, stay with me tonight." Yoongi asked. She blinked at him and shook her head in disbelief.
"Yoongi-ah." She breathed. He framed her face kissing her long and slow.
"Please." Yoongi whispered as he brushed his nose against hers. She giggled and rubbed her hands down his wrists.
"Yes!" She said. He brought her close and kissed her again. When they got to his place they got out and went inside.
