INTRODUCTION ๋࣭ ⭑⚝

hi! i'm aspen and i'm a 17 fantasy writer. i've decided to use this blog to share my passion for writing, motivate myself to do it, hopefully improve, and find other people to talk about storytelling.

i've loved creating stories since i was a kid, but i've been taken writing more 'seriously' for about 2 years. i'm genderfluid bisexual, and also an omnist lunar kitchen witch. i love everything that is related to fantasy, that's also the main genre i read.

i'm writing mainly in polish, my native language, but sometimes i translate them to english, therefore i'll be posting some of my works from time to time.

i'm also a digital artist! you can find my art on my instagram with the same name as this blog (urlocalwitch555)

my interests change over time, but my current fixations are taylor swift, the amazing devil, and the witcher (book series)

🌙 about my writing

all of the stories i write happen in the same universe i'm currently working on. there are many planetary systems in my universe inspired by various cultures and mythologies, but i'm focusing on the main planet at the moment — caestia, which is a planet where worshipping celestial bodies and magic are essentials.

all of my writing is very personal to me. i love adding elements of my beliefs like witchcraft, mythologies, folklore, especially slavic folklore as i am slavic myself, etc. into my work, as well as themes surrounding mental health, which are very close to me.

i think that diversity is extremely important in fiction and we, as storytellers, have the responsibility of providing as diverse cast of characters and cultures as possible. i make sure to add characters of many races, sexualities and gender identities to most of my works.

🌙🖤🏹 veil of shadow: a novella about a werewolf witch, who after finding her spirit guide and familiar decides to go on a journey of finding her heritage and her identity

⚔️🎻🌘 path after fate: a novel about a warrior, a bard, and a witch blessed by deities of the sun, stars, and the moon; as they follow a prophecy in order to save the world from an ancient beast, facing monsters and their own weaknesses, they find that what they thought was a blessing is far from that,

we shared one afternoon together.

kisses and cuddles and a 2013 laptop breathing heavy as it tried to play the movie for us.

it's been almost a month since that encounter

27 days to be exact but who's counting?—

and yet, i can't seem to keep you out of my mind—

you walk around aimlessly as i try to forget.

i see you in the people around me,

catch glimpses of you in other curly haired boys.

i see your smile in the smiles of others, hoping it was yours instead.

i see your eyes in the tree trunks of the forest i walk through,

shades of brown i wish to view up close again.

I had started the third chapter a little while ago and just forgot to update it on here, so my apologies.

I have been trying to write when i can but i do have a controlled assessment for one of my a-levels in a couple weeks (worth 25% of my final grade), so writing is slow lately.

PLUS!, I had recently gotten my first art commission which i will post separately to this - i do just want to share that because i am quite proud of it. It is quite irrelevant to the book but i do hope some of you who will see that actually likes it

“Ignore them” I would say, but that’s not even enough to encapsulate the feeling of someone swallowing my mind whole from time to time just making me feel like shit. Who in their entire life, heck! Would spend the time of the entire universe to hate me. Not like my mother taught me when I was a child, always saying “some people are going to like you, others are going to hate you and you can’t do anything about it” but rather they hate me because of mental unwellness killing them and hurting me out of spite.

Or because I’m just not other kids walking the halls.

This is exactly what I’ve gone through my entire life yet every time it happens I don’t know what to say. Laugh a little to loud at something in your English class and here’s this kid with his sports friends snickering behind my back, my friend sat near them thankfully.

I feel small. Like I know high school doesn’t have social hierarchy but jeez, the least the staff could do was remember that someone’s being made fun of.

🌙 plot summary

when alesya has been found by druids as a kid, all she had was a golden medallion of an unknown coat of arms. soon the full moon came and the druids found that the girl was in fact a werewolf. for years they've held her closed off from villagers, hiding her during full moons, and times when wolven features showed on her human form. behind closed doors, they took care of her and teached her all magic and knowledge they had. alesya was a quick learner and soon enough became a proper witch.

one day, when alesya was already an adult and got sick of being held back by the druids, she decided to run away. what made her make that decision was meeting of a spirit guide familiar, and the fact that villagers wanted to hunt her down. alone with her horse and wolf familiar, she went on a quest to find out where her medallion came from, and find her biological family. along the way she met new people and creatures, helping them, taking down regimes, and learning about the world after not seeing it for her whole life.
