Tips for Dysfunctional Family Girlies Part 2:
1) Get your basics straight. Education. Boundaries. Financial independence. Further breaking it down and linking it if you get proper education at some point you are bound to get an awareness of this world, if you are able to adapt and improvise yourself and develop your emotional intelligence and get your boundaries straight you will save yourself a lot of unnecessary drama and problems. Education (formal and informal) both will help you in gaining opportunities and if you are financially independent, you are holding the power to make your own decisions.
2) Develop thick skin. Your mom is calling you names. Slut, whore and what not. Your dad doesn't trust you and abuses you physically. So, what now? Are you going to let them define what you are or internalize the anger and use it as a fuel to become successful? Choice is yours.
3) They say you don't owe an explanation to anyone. Sorry to burst your little bubble. Actually you do. We live in a society and have relationships that we need to maintain for survival. This hyper independent stuff is only good to read. We have responsibilities that we need to fulfill. If you don't owe an explanation to anyone then don't cry about a closure from someone too. If you can live by this go ahead and practice it.
4) Stop isolating yourself. That's it. That's the point.
5) First kill the fear inside you. Being a rebel outside the house is no good. Be disciplined. Know how to manipulate your family members in your favor and if you can't just find the weak points and threaten. I know it's difficult to implement but you learn through trial and error. Plus something is better than nothing.
6) Stop glorifying people who treat you with kindness and love. That's the bare minimum. Just because you didn't get it served in a silver spoon doesn't mean it is not served in a silver spoon. People can have ulterior motives and even if they don't fix it in your brain that's normal. No rose colored glasses allowed.
7) Don't be afraid of indulging in your sexuality. No I am not saying go and have sex with people. I mean it in a deeper sense. Connect with the repressed sexual side and try to find healthy outlets. Don't dim yourself to fit in others'expectations or to ease someone's insecurity. Be unapologetic about your wants and desires. Know yourself. It's a powerful energy source if you know how to use it positively.
8) Cry, cry and cry. Wail like a child. No need to keep it all in. No need to act like a macho woman BUT only in front of your god or your belief system. Max in front of your truly trusted people.
9) Question everything as easily as breathing. Doubt every thing. Every action. Every person. What proof do you have to not doubt ? Stop giving benefit of doubts. Stop looking for excuses on how they could be good and instead look for ways in which they can harm you. That's your lottery to be poised and composed. It's just what it is.
10) Obsession. We have it in loads. That's natural to us. So the trick here is to be obsessive. Hella obsessive but about things, topics, goals, subjects, inanimate things, etc. God forbid but never be obsessive about a person. Not even over your dead body. Why? For that I need to make another detailed post I think.

I went into Fallout 4 already knowing which companion would be my favorite (Hancock) but suddenly finding myself enthralled with this grandfatherly synth detective with a semi-mysterious past. I kept Nick Valentine as my companion for most of the game and loved him so much I actually went back to Sanctuary Hills to build a development for him to live in (something I neglected the ENTIRE GAME).
(ps, does anyone else dress as silver shroud while travelling with Nick and dress in your minuteman general outfit with Hancock? we were matchies)

Ok I've processed the 2.1 questline and in regards to aventurine's status, I'm confident that he's alive. I thought so while playing but had doubts.
Acheron explicitly said that his gamble isn't over, and even went so far as to sever the harmony from him. So his death sentence has been lifted.
He was also the main character of this patch in a way. Whenever we were in his pov we saw glimpes of his past giving context to his actions now and we even got to see conversations between himself that revealed his real self. At every turn we're told that he's going to die, whether by the harmony or his own machinations. His backstory peppered in even gives him death flags.
But his death is entirely expected. By us, by sunday, by sparkle, by himself. He follows the path of preservation, he's been invited by the path of elation, and by the end of his quest he's ended up on the path of nihility. A fool who wants to protect what he loves but all who he loves are gone, making it meaningless.
Acheron obliges his wish and unsheathes her sword. She is the emanator of nihility but will not allow him his end. Throughout this quest as we see more and more of aventurine we see how careless he is with his life and as his mask gets ripped off again and again it's apparent how little he regards his life and his suicidal ideation comes to the forefront. He doesn't care how this will pan out, he wants to go home and his home is where his family is.
Acheron apologizes that this void wasn't what he was expecting or where he wanted to go. She uses the power of nihility to save him from the harmony, an inversion of expectations. She denies his suicide by cop, tells him he's not done yet, and wishes him luck.
Aventurine even apologizes to his younger self saying it's not time for him to reunite with his family, some day but not yet.
Thematically, acheron talked him away from the ledge and encouraged him to live. She's giving him another chance. And he's taking it.
Where he is right now is probably outside the domain of the dreamscape where presumably robin and firefly have been. We probably won't see him for awhile as he treks through and finds a way to escape. But I am confident he'll find his way back.

here’s to all the people who have trauma that would be ‘silly’ to anyone over the age, of like, 10. There’s not a set number here.
to everyone who has a legitimate trauma response, even disorders like PTSD, from something as simple as a bee sting or getting lost in the super market one time.
it may seem dumb. something that isn’t ‘real trauma.’ but it effected you just the same! and that’s okay! you’re completely right to be impacted by it, even if it’s ‘small’.
you might’ve been young. (too young to have a decent grasp of what was scary or not.) you might’ve already been a victim of trauma, and develop more easier than others. maybe it was some other thing.
everyone’s brains works differently. if that means developing trauma easier, then that’s that. you shouldn’t feel ashamed or like you don’t need help because of it. you aren’t alone. there are people out there who will listen. I promise.

You do not owe your abuser/s forgiveness. No matter how you're related, how long you've known them, how much they've done for you or even if the abuse was a single isolated incident, you do not owe them forgiveness. You do not have to forgive in order to heal and even if you did, your healing should go at YOUR pace, not anyone else's. Don't let others' control your healing or your personal feelings towards your abuser/s, that's your business and yours alone.

Something so interesting and missed out by a lot of TOH fans is that the young antagonistic characters that redeemed themselves DO NOT denounce being what they are , to recognize their privilege or lineages is vital to their characters, they cannot control where they come from, but they want to change because they want to denounce CRUELTY, to ally themselves with whats actually right, and to fight for their own selves instead of being a pawn for the opressor . This is why readings of Hunter to say "he didnt really have to Redeem himself" kind of miss the point, because Hunter, while being an obvious abuse victim, was still an upholder of the emperor´s coven and negatively affected people (he obviously regrets ever trying to forcefully recruit the flyer derby team just to prove himself in the coven) because of they way he was raised to do so, and its fine to feel shame about that, and its fine when he says hes worried about being a copy of a witch hunter too , because even if its a bit of an irrational fear , it shows that hes caring and responsible for the wellbeing and comfort of his fellow witches , you Have To show kids that having regrets its normal, and that you have your willpower to do better than what your ancestors or family have done, because everyone is a part of history in the making.

The Art of People-Pleasing and how to Fail at it:
According to me, people pleasing is kind of an inherent nature. There's nothing wrong in it if you crack the code on how to do it correctly within your boundaries.
It's something that I am personally working on to chalk out a strategy for and use it as a skill.
But for now let's discuss how you can successfully fail at it cause baby you should not play in water at the beach if you don't know how to swim.
1) Learn to say no. That's the base.
2) Develop a sense of self. Be opinionated and believe in it. Practice it.
3) Delight in making people mad and uncomfortable. Enjoy that.
4) Be unbothered. It's okay if someone doesn't believe in your values and opinion. Don't jump in to convince them and sell your idea. Instead you go your way and let them go their way.
5) Overcome your fear of abandonment. Know this thing, when you don't please you are bound to lose connections and people. Cause everyone loves to be put on a pedestal and feel needed. That's exactly what you don't offer them.
6) Observe what situations compel you to people please and pay attention to consciously avoid doing it when exposed to those situations.
7) Ask yourself what you are afraid of? Is it losing the person? Being painted as the bad guy? Or your inner belief of not being good enough? Or upsetting the other person? Reflect!!!!
That's it for today. I want to go in depth with this one but I am not able to formulate it properly as of now. Still I hope this much will be useful even if a little.

If Ishmael gets to kill the 'bastard' in her canto and finally gets the catharsis she needs, wouldn't it be kinda symbolic if she cuts off her hair to symbolize her letting go of the weight of avenging/looking for her crew.
Honestly I'm just writing this because I want to see Ryoshu pulling out her odachi and going "BBG, IGY" when Ishmael throws the idea of cutting her hair around after canto v

I did what I did to survive. there's no need in indulging guilty for trying to be alive. there's always time for healing and resting. there's always time to cultivate a healthy mind and behaviors independently of what I went through and did, again, to survive.

"You're so strong"... Its Bullshit
You’re so strong is all you hear when you tell your story, but you don’t see it.
You don’t see It; you don’t see how you are “so strong.”
You survived and that left you with a lifetime worth of trauma to work through by yourself.
They don’t understand it and they don’t know what kind of toll it has put on you.
They don’t know that something as simple as a scent can send you back into a memory you might not have even known you had.
Something as little as watching the news and a trigger hits.
When a trigger hits all you want to do is take a shower and spend an hour scrubbing your skin raw
When you lay your head down to sleep that you fear what dream you will have
you stay up instead just staring at the ceiling wondering what you did to deserve this pain and when this pain will end.
You’re so strong though.
It sounds so simple and generic, almost cheap.
