Loki Masterlist
You didn’t really think much of him. When agent Mobius M. Mobius passed by you in the halls, you’d hardly exchange nods, let alone recognize each other's existence. The TVA was too busy. There were too many variants to track down and prune before things got out of hand - you didn’t exactly have time to ask everyone how their day was.
But then the TVA was destroyed.
Paperwork suddenly became obsolete, branching timelines didn’t matter, the Time Keepers were fake. Everything was chaos.
And you remembered. Whatever haze kept all your memories safely locked away lifted and, through the existential crisis, you realized that you knew him. You could suddenly remember walks through the park, roller skating, awkward hand holding and first kisses, a wedding - everything. He was no longer a stranger. No longer just another agent walking by on his way to fetch another variant.
And then you saw him again.
His hug was warm. It was safe. But his smile... The way he said your name, with an underlying apology. You just smiled and hugged him again. I know, you'd said. A lot had happened since you were both stolen away by the Time Variance Authority. Was it really any surprise that he had changed? You were sure you had changed, too. And who were you to hold that against him?
He told you to come live with him back in the timeline, back in the house you both had started to make for yourself, with a jet ski and freedom and nobody to tell you what to do, no “Time Keepers” to breathe down your neck to keep everything in order and perfect.
He might have mentioned his tall, dark, and handsome friend somewhere in there, too, but you really couldn’t remember, since, ya know, everything was going to shit.
Your old house hadn’t changed a bit, but maybe it was because it was exactly as you had left it when the TVA stole you away. Apparently, in this little branch of time, you and Mobius didn’t live here anymore. But it was just the same, perfect, little house that you remembered.
“You lived here?” Loki asked. He had helped Mobius - or, Mobius had helped him, it was a little unclear to you - take down the TVA. He was taller than both you and Mobius, but not in an intimidating way. From what you gathered, he’d changed a lot on his little quest to take down the Authority.
You nodded excitedly, bouncing on the balls of your feet. “Yes! Look! It's still got the hydrangeas!” You grabbed Mobius’s arm and pointed to the flower bushes. Purple, blue and pink, fluffy flowers all lined the front of the house.
“Yeah.” Mobius chuckled, nodding and nudging you toward the building. “I wonder if it still has that ugly tile in the kitchen.”
“Oh my god!”
And there you went, barging through the door to go see the ugly kitchen backsplash you two never got around to changing.
“She is… something,” Loki offered. His arms were crossed over his chest, defensive, but even he couldn’t fight the grin that split his face. Something about your joy was contagious. “How long were you married before…?” He risked a glance at the ex-TVA agent.
Mobius nodded his head from side to side, hands falling into his pockets as he studied each window (he recognized the crack in the attic window he never got to fix either, and the flower boxes on the upper window that you’d tried and failed to plant anything in that mostly served as bird perches now). “It’s all a bit of a blur,” he admitted. His voice was quiet. Sad. He wished he could shove aside the emotions that had settled within him since he became an agent, since he took in a very stubborn God of Mischief. He wished he could give you more than just the life you would have had. “But, hey,” he ripped himself out of his thoughts, “we’ve got a jet ski.”
Loki chuckled. He’d flipped through countless magazines from the agent’s desk about the vehicle. It was nice to know that something in his mind had held onto that. The TVA couldn’t strip him of everything. “And how is it to ride?”
“Oh, god, she’s beautiful! We gotta take her out on the water tomorrow. There’s a lake nearby.” He looked down the streets, trying to remember exactly where it was. Something in him knew, but it was still foggy. He shrugged. “Somewhere.”
They didn’t seem to notice you peeking through a window, watching as they gave sly grins to the other when the other wasn’t looking. Or how their gazes lingered a little too long sometimes. Mobius’s heart didn’t belong to you anymore, and that was okay. But you’d be damned if you let him miss this opportunity.
"Morning!" you chirped from the dining table. You were already cradling a warm cup of coffee, reading a paper that held events you'd already read about during variant-hunts at the TVA.
Mobius, clad in striped pjs and bedhead, hummed his sleepy good morning back. He found the cabinet that held the mugs like it was second-nature. But when he looked in for his favorite mug, his face pulled into a frown. He shifted a couple others aside, peeking behind them, until a sudden shine of ceramic caught his attention... on a higher shelf.
Now, this was peculiar for two reasons. 1. You never put mugs up that high. Hell, the only dishes you did put up that high were for special occasions (in laws, guests, etc), so for his mug to be not with the other mugs was, well, weird. And 2. The folding step stool wasn't where it normally was. Usually, you kept it right by the counter, ready to be used to reach the higher shelves of the pantry or the special dishes previously mentioned. And yet, it was gone.
Maybe if Mobius hadn't just woken up, he would have pieced together what was going on.
"Morning." The deep, morning rumble of Loki almost startled him out of his thoughts as the God wandered into the kitchen.
Neither of you had really expected a guest in your old house (or, well, suppose you were really the guest, considering Mobius invited you to live with him and Loki), so Mobius let him borrow some sweatpants and he managed to find an old high school t-shirt that fit him. Really well, Mobius had thought when he first saw the way the fabric pulled over his chest.
"Yeah, morning," Mobius said quickly, trying to pull his thoughts away from the Asgardian. "Can you get my mug down?"
Loki followed Mobius's pointer finger up to the cup on a higher shelf, but didn't ask any questions as to why or how it was up there. He simply nodded and stepped to the ex-agent's side to reach the mug. And if one hand rested on Mobius's arm? Well, it was for support, obviously. And if Mobius stared into blue eyes a little too long as he took his favorite Magnum P.I. mug from the God? Clearly, it was just his lack of caffeine slowing his mind down.
All too soon, Mobius cleared his throat and pulled away to pour a cup of coffee for himself as Loki grabbed another mug - this one was a deep green color, you couldn't recall which mother-in-law gave it to whom - and shut the cabinet. While they both tried to dance around what had just happened, you couldn't stop smirking into your mug.
The backsplash was eating away at your soul. It was just so ugly. I mean, who even picked that nightmare out and decided that, "Yes, this will look good here!"? If you were going to be living the rest of your life there, you weren't going to wake up every morning to that eyesore; cook every meal staring at the rainbow-barf, tile-quilted mess that was that backsplash.
So, you grabbed Mobius, told Loki not to burn the place down, and made your way to the home improvement store. Loki really didn't have any complaints with not going, actually rather insisting he stay. He wanted to look at your flowers and adjust more to Midgard.
"I know you moved my mug," Mobius said as you picked up a white tile pattern. He came to stand beside you and look at the example of the tiling on the wall. "And the step ladder."
You turned away, busying yourself with putting the sample in the cart. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
He chuckled, following you as you meandered to the next aisle. "You've always been bad at lying." When you didn't stop, he sped up to get in front of the cart, standing in the way. "What's going on, Y/N?"
You looked him in the eye for as long as you could bear it before you sighed and looked away. You didn't wear a ring anymore - you don't know when you last had worn any - but your fingers still instinctively messed with your ring finger, fiddling with your knuckles and your nail.
"Y/N?" he repeated. He was suddenly in your vision, gently intruding his way into your space so he could take your hand and stop your nervous habit. His brow was creased with worry.
"I just..." You took a deep breath, steeling yourself and looking into his eyes. "I just want you to be happy. And I see the way you look at him, and the way he looks at you."
Mobius smiled, almost bashfully, looking down. "That subtle, huh?"
You chuckled, squeezing his hand. "You invited him to live with you first - I don't think it could be more obvious, Moby."
He was quiet for a moment, thinking to himself. "If I did ask him, ya know..." He looked back up to meet your eyes. You held nothing but support for him. "What would you do?"
You shrugged. You squeezed his hand again before you let it go so you could keep pushing the cart, sidling it up alongside the never ending row of tile. "I never really thought about it. But I'd be fine," you assured him with a smile. "I'd be happy, I promise."
You sat on a beach towel, sipping on sweet tea Mobius packed, and watched as he whooped and hollered on the jet ski. He did sharp turns, sometimes just rode along like he was a lone ranger going off into the sunset, or slowed to a stop so he could brush wind-swept hair off of his wet forehead and let the adrenalin settle.
Loki sat beside you, finding solace under the large umbrella from the sun. He'd watched Mobius for a good while when you first came out here, smiling to himself and almost hiding it as though he were embarrassed by it. Now, however, he just read a book, turning a page every now and then. You still noticed when he would look up at Mobius, perhaps pause for a moment, and then find the sentence he left off on.
It was after one of these moments that you spoke up.
"He likes you, you know." It was a knowing statement, almost coy. He glanced at you from the corner of his eye. "I see the way you look at him."
He raised his head, looking out at the water, out where Mobius was stopped and chatting happily with another jet skier. "And what about you?" he asked. He turned to look at you, finger keeping his place in his book. "I see the way you look at him, too."
You grinned, shaking your head. "We're not..." You bit your lip, looking away to find the words. "I still love him, but not like that. Too much has happened, too much's changed." When you looked back, his eyes held sadness, softened with pity for the lost love you once had. "I'll find someone, someday."
"Someday..." he repeated, murmured to himself.
He bookmarked his spot in his book, setting it aside and watching for a moment longer as Mobius weaved from side to side on the waves of the lake.
"You have my blessing, Loki," you teased, nudging him with your foot, "if that's what's holding you back."
He smirked, playfully nudging you aside with his shoulder. "I'm going to get you back for this," he promised light-heartedly. "You're schedule will be filled with worthy suitors, lined up to court you."
You laughed, at the way he phrased things in such a formal, Asgardian manner, and at the idea of Loki being your wingman. You didn't have time to tease him back, to hold him to his promise, as he stood up and made his way from under the shade of the umbrella to the lapping waves.
Loki waved at Mobius, signaled for him to come in. Of course, surprised at seeing the God away from his book, Mobius rode up to the shore, pulling slightly onto the beach and stopping the jet ski. He leaned to one side, brow furrowed as his mouth moved. You couldn't hear what was said, but you were sure it was along the line's of, "What's going on?" You watched with a smirk as Loki stepped into the water, ankle high, and grabbed Mobius by his cheeks to pull him into a searing kiss. Mobius's hands found purchase in Loki's black hair.
If they smiled into the kiss as they heard you cheering for them from the umbrella, pulled away just enough to murmur playful threats and schemes against you that you would never know of, well, who could say?

masterlist
“Job well done on your mission, Mobius,”  Ravonna commended as she shut the folder on her table, looking at the particular TVA agent who sported a small grin on his face. “In the time I worked for you, I’d like to think this is the third time I heard you say that.”
Rolling her eyes at him, and at how Mobius recklessly drank up the rest of his Josta and placed it on her table without a coaster, she grabbed the empty bottle and condescendingly smiled at him, “It is the third time, but everytime you come in here you leave rings on my tables.” He was about to defend himself but she waved him off and asked, “So what helped you not mess up this time?”
A girl came to mind when he was questioned, but he vaguely answered her, “I had help from one of the desk jockeys. I hope you gave her the credit she deserves in the report,” He pointed to the folder she was earlier skimming on. But she shot him another pointed look, “I did, but if a desk jockey helped you then it should be you who is rewarding her.”  Standing up, he began walking out the door but not before saying, “Believe me, I will.”
As he exits the room, he grabs the bag he left in one of the couch chairs just outside Ravonna’s office before jogging over to where she was. Her back was to him and yet she could see her cubicle that was filled with different kinds of sweets that she was somehow able to acquire. Rapping on the back of her chair startled her slightly as she turned around to face who distubred her while she worked, but her features relaxed once she saw it was Mobius. “Oh, hey Mobius. How’d it go with Ravonna?”
“Surprisingly, she didn’t give me too much shit,” She giggled when he cursed, liking how the vulgar word rolled off his tongue beautifully; meanwhile the agent could feel the blood rushing down his cock at the sound before continuing, “I mean, how could she not when the mission was a success all thanks to you.”
At the praise, she pursed her lips nervously before looking down on the floor, “I wouldn’t say it’s because of me. I just did what had to be done,” Scoffing, he leaned against her desk and crossed his arms, an action that she seemed eager to watch, “Please, if it wasn’t for your sharp eyes that paid attention to what was in those files I wouldn’t have caught the variant.”
Instead of replying verbally, Y/N just fiddled nervously with her fingers which Mobius has discovered was what she did when she became shy or nervous. “Say, have you had lunch?” Perking up at that, she nodded, “I did, Casey got way too excited when finally tried fish for the first time,” She recalled with a chuckle; Mobius on the other hand was pleased to hear that she ate already, but he also felt a pang of jealousy hit him when she dined with someone else. Perhaps after this he would have a talk with Casey.
“That’s great, because I got you a little something for dessert,” He lifted the bag in his hand before gesturing to the assortment of candies littered around her desk, “Seeing as your fond of sweets, I took it upon myself to get you some as a sign of my gratitude.”
She tried to mask her excitement but ultimately failed as she squealed in delight, standing up to hug Mobius’ surprisingly muscular frame, “Thank you, Mobius! Thank you so much!” A few shh’s were heard and she let go of their hug and apologized  sheepishly at her office mates.
“I don’t know about you, but I think this is an appropriate place to eat your sweets,” She pouted and tilted her head in confusion before Mobius leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, “Some people might want a taste for themselves, when in fact all that I have is for you.”
While one of his hands carried the bag, he held out his hand for her to take; his logic did make sense to her, so she nodded and took hold of his hand. Pleased with her decision not only to follow him but to entangle her hand with his, he led them into the one of the viewing/meeting rooms that he knew would be vacant. Locking the door after entering, he then motioned for her to sit down on the chair.
Placing the bag on the floor, he got the contents out and placed the varieties of lollipop on the table; her eyes gleamed up in surprise and wonder, “Oh my God you have all possible flavors!” Her hands quickly grabbed the lollipops, carefully reading the wrapper which stated its flavor.
“I thought it would be fun if we make a game out of it,” Mobius spoke up with a dark glint in his eyes that she was far too naive to notice, “What game did you have in mind?” Before answering her, he made the move to untie the knot of his tie and lifted it up in one hand, “The game is I blindfold you, feed you a lollipop, then you have to guess which flavor it is.”
“Seems simple enough,” She shrugged, feeling fairly confident she’ll be able to identify each flavor, “Is there a point system to it? What happens to the winner and the loser?”
“I’ll be giving you four lollipops to try, and if you name them all correctly, I’ll convince Ravonna to give you a week off, sounds good?” At the thought of having the whole week off, she thought of the different hobbies that were famous on Earth that she was dying to try out and nodded with a wide grin, “And if I fail to name them?”
“If you fail to name even just one flavor, you have to do what I say,” Though his words were dark, the smile and tone he had suggested otherwise which led her to believe that he simply meant he’d read case files for him and whatnot so she smiled, “Deal!”
Mobius stood up and walked behind her and placed the silk tie on her eyes before securely fastening it behind her head, “Is it too tight?” She shook her head no, “Let the game begin!”
He chuckled at her enthusiasm before dragging the chair he sat on so he could sit beside her, then he reached for a lollipop, removing the wrapper and pushed the candy in her lips. It was absurd how the simple sight of her lickig up the treat had him biting down on his lip to prevent the groan that threatened to come out, “It’s cola! And I think it’s Chupa Chups too, considering the small size of it.”
“One point for youm” Mobius declared before removing the treat from her lips, she pouted at the lack of candy in her lips. But it wasn’t long before she heard the crinkle of plastic which signalled Mobius had chosen another lollipop to give her. This time, however, he chose a swirl lollipop and gently pushed it on her lips.
Her hand felt for the stick and Mobius’s breath hitched when their hands touched once more, but to her it didn’t mean as much since she was focused solely on putting together the flavor of the candy, “Is it tropical fruit?”
“Indeed it is, sweetie,” Her tongue stopped licking the lollipop at the nickname, feeling her cheeks heating up but quickly composed herself by sitting up straight and pushing the lollipop away from her lips. Mobius quickly discarded the lollipop and smirked to himself when he grabbed for the last lollipop she’d be licking. Pushing it past her lips was easier considering how slender it was, and the agent was now hard in his pants as he watched her take nearly all of the lollipop in her mouth while she worked on identifying the flavor, “Any idea on what it is?”
Pulling the lollipop away and licking the tip of it, she nodded with a smile before guessing, “A banana split lollipop!” His lust for her was slight pushed aside as he was now genuinely amazed with how she was able to easily identify the lollipop and its flavors, “That’s incredible, sweetie,” He stood up as he quickly disposed of the lollipop and worked on quietly unbuckling his belt and sliding his zipper down, “Now the next lollipop is a bit different than the rest.”
“How so?”
He stroked his cock with one hand as he looked down on her plump lips, “Well this lollipop is not meant for being bitten, sweetie. You can only lick it,” She didn’t question what he said because she had seen some lollipops that were too fragile or soft to be bitten, so she naturally assumed the same for the next treat. One of his hands grabbed her soft one, guiding her to hold onto the base of his cock, while his tip was gently prodding her mouth, “Go ahead and have a taste of the lolly, sweetie.”
Obediently, she circled her lips around the tip of his cock while her tongue immediately placed kitten licks on the hardened cock; Mobius threw his head back in pleasure, trying his best to hold his moan in. Innocently, she squeezed the base of his cock harder in frustration since she could not recognize the taste of the lollipop, she pulled away with a pop, “I don’t think I’ve tasted this before.”
“Oh yeah?” Mobius smirked, “What’s it taste like, sweetie?” At his question, she proceeded to put the “lollipop” back in her mouth, letting half of the treat in her mouth while her tongue continued to swirl around the tip expertly before pulling back until only the tip of Mobius’s cock was in her mouth while she replied, “At first it tasted salty, with a bit of tang,” To make sure of what it tasted like, she slid her mouth back, encompassing nearly his whole cock before concluding, “But the syrup made it a whole lot sweeter!”
Mobius laughed silently to himself; in his pleasure-filled brain he failed to realize that pre cum left his tip and that's what she probably referred to as sweet. “I’m giving you one last chance to guess what kind of flavor it is, sweetie.”
Determined to figure out it’s taste, she kitten-licked the tip once more while her hand felt for the base, surprised when the lollipop somehow got longer. She figured that trying to fit all of it in her mouth would help her pinpoint the exact flavor, so that’s exactly what she did. In one smooth stroke, she welcomed Mobius’s cock in her warm, wet mouth. The agent had to bunch her hair as his hips moved in small circles, consequently causing her nose to press against the smooth cloth of his jeans.
When she felt the fabric of his jeans, she was alarmed and removed her hand from the base of his cock and scrambled to remove his necktie that shielded her eyes. A muffled groan was all that left her once  she saw that she had been sucking him off this whole time, his hand pressing onto the back of her head firmly, not letting his cock escape her mouth.
“Oh when you struggle like that, it just adds to my pleasure, sweetie,” Mobius informed her as he began thrusting his hips slowly, loving the drag of his cock against her tongue. Tears started to pool out of her eyes, embarrassed and aroused with the whole ordeal. The hand that wasn’t grabbing onto her hair, wiped the few tears that escaped her eyes as he cooed comfortingly, “Don’t cry, sweetie. You may have lost the game but don’t worry, I’ll make you feel good, yeah?”
When he removed his cock from her mouth, she gasped for breath and was about to bargain with him when he forced her to stand up, and in one quick motion, ripped her off her uniform and underwear, all before sitting down on the chair and looking at her body with desire.
“You’ve been hiding quite figure behind those dull clothes, hm?” He smirked, revelling in the way she shielded her breasts with her arms, legs crossing in an attempt to hide her intimate area while she eyed her ruined clothes, “Why don’t you be a good sweetie for me and ride my cock?”
He was stroking himself once more while he ordered her to, and while part of her wanted to say no, a stern look from his eyes contradicted with his soft smile had her obeying him. Placing both of her hands on his shoulders, she slowly lowered her pussy onto his cock.
Impatiently, Mobius planted his hands on her hips, forcing her to take all of him at once. A choked out moan escaped her once she felt his hard, pulsing length enter her tight, wet pussy. “Fuck you feel even better than I imagined, sweetie,” He admitted as he gently lifted her up and right back down, her thighs jiggling against his clothed ones.
She was pushing at his shoulders as if it would wake up his conscience and make him stop his assault on her, but with every drag of his cock in her walls, she just found herself wanting it faster and harder. “Please, please,” She moaned out, biting her lip when his tip found her sweet spot. Smirking at her state, he mocked her softly, “Please what, sweetie? Do you want it harder?” And to provoke her even more, he lifted his hips in time with her pussy going down on his length. As a result, her hands toyed with the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling on it slightly as she nodded breathlessly.
“Or do you need it faster?” The movement in his hips stopped, drawing a whine from her which sounded heavenly, and in turn he lifted her up and down his cock in a rapid pace which made her tits bounce up and down, enticing Mobius even more.
“Just want you,” She managed to let out in between pants which turned into an elongated whine when Mobius leaned down to suck on a nipple all the while he lifted her up and down off his cock, “Want you so bad. Please, please, please.”
“I don’t know sweetie,” His voice may have sounded sweet but it was still as poisonous as it could be, “I don’t know if you could be a good little sweetie for me.” Once he deemed that her nipple had been nibbled, licked, and pulled on enough he switched to the other, ensuring that it got the same treatment.
“I'll do anything you want,” She admitted as her hand clenched on his suit jacket so tight they were starting to wrinkle, “Gonna be a good sweetie for you.”
One of his hands smacked her ass repeatedly before returning to her hips, “That’s more like it,” He said before blindly reaching for the banana split lollipop she had tried on earlier, sliding it carefully past her lips, “I want you to keep this lollipop inside your mouth, okay?”
She nodded as best she could with a lollipop in her mouth and an even bigger one ramming in and out of her cunt, “Keep licking and sucking on that lollipop and I’ll reward you okay?”
“What’s my reward?” She muffedly wondered before moaning out, Mobius had pinched both of her nipples causing her to still for a moment before moving her hips once again; it was only that moment when she realized that it was her doing all the work as she rode the agent she had been crushing on, that it wasn’t him lifting her up and down.
“I’m gonna make you cum, sweetie,” He groaned out loud when one of her hand held onto the handle of the lollipop, forcing the candy deeper in her expert mouth and the other hand taking a hold of one of his, guiding it to her clit — which was her way of asking him to rub her, which he gladly complied to, “And even better, I’m gonna fill you up with my cum. Gonna make sure it runs past your pussy and onto your legs.”
Thrilled with the idea of her exiting the room with ripped clothes, flushed face, and cum running out of her legs, she rode him harder and faster, to the point that Mobius panted as he tried to keep up with her movements.
“Fucking hell I knew you’d be a slut,” He moaned out as he continued to rub her clit in circular motions while his other hand slapped both her ass cheeks. The words coming out of his mouth matched with the way his hands were roaming her ass and clit made her walls clench on his cock, signaling her impending orgasm.
“Oh you like being called a slut?” It was more of a hypothetical question really, but in her haze-filled mind, she thought it demanded an immediate answer, “‘M your slut, Mobius. All yours. No one else can fuck me like you can.”
Watching her take the lollipop all the way in her mouth plus the way her body hypnotically bounced up and down his cock made him go feral as he placed both of his hand on her ass, alternating between spanking and caressing it as he took control once more of how she was sliding in and out of his cock.
“A good slut of mine cums when she’s told to, can you do that, sweetie?” She nodded as though she understood what was asked of her but the reality was she was too far gone and instead could only feel her orgasm coming, but needed one last push, “Then cum for me, cum for me and I’ll fill you up with my spunk. Gonna make you my whore.”
It wasn’t just his words that pushed her to the edge, it was how his lips enclosed one of her swollen nipples in his mouth as he spoke those filthy words, how a long, thick finger of his prodded her asshole while the other hand continued to land firm spanks on her ass cheek, and the way she felt his cock throbbing even more as the tip repeatedly graze her sweet spot.
You’d think with the lollipop in her mouth it would muffle the sounds she let out, but if anything it failed to mute her moans and pants. For a brief moment Mobius feared that someone heard them, but when he felt himself paint her walls with his cum, he didn’t find it in himself to care.
“Take all my cum, sweetie. Don’t want a single ounce to spill inside you just yet,” It amazed him how she was still softly riding him, milking him for all his worth. He opened his eyes and fell in love with how she was looking at him already with pleasure and want. “Was I good for you, sir?”
Though the title came out of nowhere, it definitely made him hard and ready to fuck her again. Clicking his lips, he tilted his head a bit as if to tease her, “I don’t know sweetie, let’s see if you were good for me,” She was confused for a moment before he pulled the stick of the lollipop out of her mouth and was pleased to see that she was able to lick the candy until it was basically all finished up, “It seems like you have been good for me, sweetie!”
Giggling softly, she wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in the skin there while planting soft kisses. Mobius threw the stick on the ground before hugging her frame into his chest, feeling her hardened nipples against his shirt.
“Does that mean I get to lick your lollipop once again, sir?”

a/n ~ it's finally here!! this is, the largest fic i've ever written and it's only the first chapter :'), i'm actually really proud of how this came out, and i can't wait to see what you all think of it!! this is a long one so without further ado; part 1!!
Tumblr media
It was never supposed to be real, just something to keep the other agents at bay while Loki danced around them for a while.
You never could have expected how your heart felt when you saw them together.
But you could have sworn you felt something shatter.
You could remember the day he was brought in so clearly. Time worked differently in your workplace, that you had known from the very day, a day you couldn't seem to recall, when you had first began working at the TVA. But all of the clocks in every corner of the universe seemed to absolutely stand still when variant LL1130 entered the court room.
Tumblr media
The shuffling of polyester pant fabric and pacing foot steps bounced off of the walls of the small hallway as you trailed behind the man that was sprinting in front of you. Mobius had all but yanked your arm through the time door just seconds after the other agent had handed him the variant's file.
"We have to go." Was all that he had said to you, a gleeful, childish smile on his face as he hurried through the portal.
You had attempted to ask him questions while you two rushed down the winding corridors, though he didn't seem to even hear you as you spoke to him, or more so, spoke at him, only continuing to stare almost lovingly at the file he had been handed just moments ago.
You realized now that you should have known exactly who this was about with just how thrilled he was.
Just as he was about to tear the court's door off it's hinges from enthusiasm, you stopped him, gently grabbing his arm.
"Mobius." You exhaled, your voice thinner than usual as you tried to catch your breath from the impromptu marathon he had put you through. "What's going on?" You asked again for the umpteenth time.
He stood frozen for a moment, his face completely blank as he stared back at you. His mouth parted for a moment, a hushed "Oh" falling from his lips, the gears in his head seemingly finally clicking into place when you cocked an eyebrow at him. His lips suddenly turned, forming an uncharacteristically satisfied smirk as he pushed the file into your hands.
You snapped the manila folder open, your eyes flickering and bouncing around the page as you skimmed through.
"It's him." The smile in his voice was palpable, and you couldn't help but smile a bit yourself, his excitement was always contagious.
Mobius had been here longer than you, you never knew for certain how much longer, all that you really cared to know was how he had quickly taken you under his wing without so much as a thought from the moment you met.
You couldn't quite remember when you had gotten your job at the TVA, maybe it was because you were simply just thrown into the work so quickly. Files and paperwork being shoved into your hands and haphazardly tossed onto the ever-growing stack pushed to the corner of your desk faster than you could finish reading over them. Though even throughout all the chaos, you could always remember Mobius.
"You seem familiar" You recalled how soft his eyes were as he looked at you, his feet planted firmly in front of your desk for the first time of many. You were panicked enough already, and the last thing that you needed that day was someone else's misguided pity. However, this felt different, something in the way he spoke to you felt different, genuine, like something clicked in him the moment he spotted your flustered expression, as you frantically searched your desk for some lost file, that activated his innate need to protect everything on the timeline. He barely knew you, even that was an overstatement, he didn't know you at all, it had only been less than a few moments after you looked up at him confused, dazed, and wondering why this oddly folksy stranger had suddenly taken an interest in your frazzled state. "...I've traveled enough places and seen enough faces to know when to trust someone."
Ever since day one, even on the days that were filled with nothing but frenzies of papers and meetings and courtrooms, you would always know one thing to be true, and it was that if the TVA dealt with only one thing, they dealt in only absolute facts.
Between Red-lines and Nexus Events and case files, only things of absolute certainty passed through your workplace.
And if there was one fact that was of absolute principle to you, it was that you and Mobius were always by each other's side.
You weren't sure if you could really remember a moment that passed without him beside you every step of the way. Even when you were still a bumbling new agent struggling to figure out your own Tempad, he was always the first one to offer that you take a break and a Josta.
Over the course of your career, you had grown to cherish those spontaneous cafeteria breaks, when the two of you would just simply wax poetic about his inconsequentially profound metaphors of time and space, even though they really meant nothing within the walls of this place. You especially loved those rare occasions when a blanket of calm and quiet was finally placed over your small slice of the timeline, when only the sounds of your joint laughter echoed off the arid walls surrounding you both. Those memories would always bring a smile to your face, even the memories of the nights when you would just sit in silence across from each other, only hushed, exhausted sighs being the sole sounds exchanged between the two of you.
For people who had seen almost every moment in time, every invention, every war, every celebration. Sometimes, silence was enough.
Regardless of the many nights spent in quiet, you still had been no stranger to his rambles about Loki, the variant he had apparently become quite fond of during his time working at the TVA.
Loki and his many variations almost became just as much as friends to you as Mobius was. You supposed you knew them well enough, well, probably not not as well as Mobius, but well enough.
After a moment of enthused bickering, the both of you finally hastily tiptoed into the court room, clumsily shuffling into one of the benches like school children late for class.
Though his back was turned to the both of you, his distinct energy was already detectable. There was an indisputable air of despicable playfulness surrounding the man stood at the front of the room.
You shifted closer to Mobius, his face like an excited puppy as he watched the raven haired man in awe, even when he cursed and struggled against his restraints, his eyes to so wide and bright that you would've thought Mobius was watching some perfectly choreographed ballet performance.
"Is that him?" You whispered, smiling as you leaned into him.
Yes. Clearly it was him. But you wanted the confirmation of the expert, you know, just to make sure.
He quickly replied, not even bothering to turn to look at you, "Yeah."
You didn't know what you had expected, or more so, who you expected. You knew that variants differed all across the timeline, you often wondered if there were variants of yourself walking around somewhere in the universe, what did they look like? Were they some demented, grotesque monster, with horns and fangs, with nothing but a semblance of your face that resembled your own? Or did they look just like you?
Mobius had shown you what some of Loki's variants had appeared as throughout the years, though none of those images could have prepared you for the man that stood at the front of the room now.
His hair was much shorter than some of the others you had seen, cut just below his ears and surprisingly curly. His skin wasn't the vibrant blue shade like you had thought it would be from seeing so many of Mobius' holograms, instead, it was almost abnormally pale, like he had been stuck in an eternal winter, his complexion freezing over just as chilled and wintry as a blizzard.
You hadn't even been paying any real attention to what was going on around you, though you felt your head instantly snapping up to the front of the room as Ravonna struck her gavel. It was a flurry of struggle and confusion before you felt the warmth of Mobius leave your side.
"I think I might..."
You looked up at him, your lips drawn into a thin line of bewilderment at his boldness, your brow furrowed as you awaited for him to dig himself a deeper hole with Ravonna.
"Have an idea... Of what he's capable of."
The room was filled with a thunderous silence when Mobius approached the bench, and a small smile appeared on your lips as you studied the very frazzled Loki that was still being restrained at the front of the room.
All of your life, you had known nothing but order and complete uniformity. It felt like ever since you could begin to form memories of your own you had been stuck in a limbo of nothing but utter equilibrium.
Loki was the embodiment of everything that you, and everyone else around, you weren't.
He was chaos and mischief and a concoction of endearing disarray all wrapped into one. Finally experiencing him in person made you understand how Mobius could become so captivated with someone so puzzling.
You knew you shouldn't have been so intrigued.
But watching him spat and quip at Ravonna, the woman who seemed to always float above everyone, as he poked at her without a single ounce of care in his tone about what was to happen next to him, you found yourself reeling from the abrupt, overwhelming urge to know more than just what Mobius had told you during all those late nights.
A bizarre feeling of discontentment flooded you. You weren't satisfied with just the fun facts anymore, the fuzzy holograms of blue-skinned creatures and outlines of golden horns.
You needed to know him.
Tumblr media
You were thankful for Mobius' friendship with Ravonna, if it weren't for that, you probably wouldn't have wound up sitting across from Loki as you were now in the barren, orange and beige time theater.
His piercing stare threatened to scorch holes through the table. You saw now how he was much more intimidating up close, sitting only mere feet in front of you. You wondered how Mobius could ever compare him to a pussycat, a title which you now knew to be insanely incorrect.
Watching the two of them go back and forth at each other could be likened to watching a tennis match, one that you were sure could never be witnessed anywhere else but in this theater.
"I can't believe you were D.B Cooper!" Mobius exclaimed cheerfully, enthusiastically slapping the small table in front of him, "C'mon!"
Loki stared at him for a moment before replying, his arms contentiously crossed over his chest, "I was young and I lost a bet to Thor."
You hadn't even realized the enthused chuckle that escaped you until Loki's biting gaze was suddenly directed to you.
You sat in a chair to the left of Mobius, just the slightest bit behind him, taking a back seat as you watched the duo, up to this point, like a theater audience. Your eyes eagerly bounced between the men as they bickered, though now it seemed you had now unexpectedly been added into the conversational equation.
"And who are you?" Loki finally spat, his eyes squinting threateningly, as if he were appraising you.
You stammered out your name, and you internally cursed yourself for sounding so caught off guard.
Loki hummed in response, and a smug smirk grew on his lips, looking adequately satisfied by your frazzled state.
"Taking notes on all this?" He hissed scornfully, slumping back into his chair.
Your eyes flickered to Mobius to see his concerned expression, even though his powers were essentially put on a leash as long as he stayed within the confines of the TVA, you both understood that he was still just as dangerous.
You swallowed thickly before finally replying, "No," You sighed, "I'm just here to help."
If you were being honest with yourself, you weren't even exactly sure why you were here, though you tended to follow Mobius wherever he dragged you, this felt a little unorthodox, even for him.
Loki only cocked an eyebrow at you, "Another puppet for the Time Variance Authority, how delightful."
A part of you wanted to snap back at him. You weren't a puppet, you thought, you were your own person, you were more than just your job, it's not like this was all you thought about-
"Hey," You quickly dropped your gaze to the unexpected hand on your thigh, your eyes travelling up the fabric of his blazer until they landed on Mobius' concerned features. "You okay?" He whispered.
You offered a slow nod in response. He was always like this, knowing just when your gears were turning a little too fast for you. Over the course of your friendship, you couldn't even begin to count all the times he had pulled you from your own spiraling thoughts. You wondered how he hadn't already been snatched up by another agent, one that actually knew what they were doing, instead of always hanging around with you.
"I'm okay" You smiled, sighing as you gathered yourself.
He gently pat your thigh before returning to his interrogation.
It was always strange feeling though, one that you didn't think you would ever get used to, and one that you were sure felt even stranger for the man, who was now standing, across the room from you.
His hands were firmly planted on his hips as he watched what would have been, his eyes frantically darting back and forth across the projection as you watched him try to make sense of what he was seeing.
"Than am I not your mother?" The woman's words now seemed to echo from every corner in the now deathly silent room.
"You are not."
He began to inch closer to the projection as he watched, his features softer now.
It had never really occurred to you until now how jarring this all must be for someone who didn't deal with past, present, and future on a routine basis.
You were been told in training that variants were nothing more than nuisances, just minor footnotes in the grand scheme of the universe, the only purpose they served was to be wiped from reality.
Though now, as you watched his shoulders slump at the sight of his mother, you wondered if they were more than that.
Or at least if this one was.
There was a part of you that wanted to tell Mobius to stop. You understood how much this all meant to him, how much this case meant to him, but it felt like he had forgotten that inside these walls, Loki was still just as much of a person as the two of you, not some lab rat for him to poke at.
No magic or tricks could hide the vulnerability you felt radiating from Loki as he pleaded, asking Mobius questions with answers you knew would only hurt him more.
"I'll kill you." The words weighed heavily within the room even as Loki's voice grew thinner with desperation.
"What? Like you did your mother?"
In an instant, a chair was flying across the room, shattering the projection before it quickly repaired itself. Your breath hitched in your throat as Loki stomped over to Mobius, and suddenly, words were flying from your lips before you could even begin to think about them.
"Stop." You called out, not so much of a yell as it was a stern request.
Loki was already on the floor, hissing in pain as his shoulders rose and fell.
Mobius immediately turned from you as you got up out of your chair, his lips mouthing a silent "You okay?"
You quickly nodded before continuing, "I think we should take a break... I think that would be good." You turned to Loki, offering him an anxious smile before facing Mobius again.
The roar of a burning city continued to play in the background, the metallic, mechanical sounds of heroes gathering bounced off of every corner in the room, though there was still an atmosphere of silence that surrounded the three of you.
The quiet was finally broken by the resounding banging of the large doors opening, causing all three of you to whip your heads to the back of the room.
"What are you doing?" The hunter sneered, her annoyance was clear in her tone.
"My job." Mobius quipped, helping Loki from the floor as you stood off to the side, timidly gripping your clipboard as your fingers drummed against the back of it. "Is it yours to interrupt?"
She huffed before continuing. "We have a situation."
Tumblr media
It was only a second really, well, maybe a few minutes at most had you both stepped out, but regardless of the amount of time that passed, he was gone.
"Get out of my way." You heard the strong grumble from behind you, before you found yourself being pushed into Mobius' side by another hunter.
"Sorry" You winced, gently pushing yourself from him.
"He couldn't have gone very far" Mobius mumbled to you, a twinge of displeasure in his voice as he adjusted his blazer, huffing before the two of you began to trail behind the group of hunters. But before you could even take more than a few steps, he stopped you, his hand abruptly gripping your arm, almost yanking you backwards as he paused. "You okay?"
You let out a quiet gasp before you whipped around to face him. He smiled, almost apologetically, before slowly dropping your wrist, "Sorry..." He whispered, and you had to actively stop your brows from furrowing at the strange sight of a light blush creeping up his cheeks.
"I'm okay, Mobius, I promise." You smiled, even though you knew it would take a little more convincing for him to be satisfied with your answer, seeing as he didn't believe you the two other times you had said that. "Why wouldn't I be?" You added cheerfully, but if you were being truthful with yourself, you were still a little shaken, and you were also certain that that fact was written all over your features. You couldn't exactly pin point what had gotten you so flustered, but this whole day was turning out to be more chaotic than either of you had ever anticipated.
"I just wanted to make sure, you seemed kind of... Spooked, before"
You sighed, reaching out to grab his hand and giving it a quick, reassuring squeeze before slowly starting down the hallway again.
"I could do this without you, you know" He quickly muttered.
If you hadn't gotten so used to his ever-changing, almost-frantic speaking pace, you may have missed it. Though almost instantly, you were pausing to face him once again.
"I mean it, not like I want you to- or for me to do this without you" He stammered, his fingers anxiously fidgeting with the corner of the manila folder partially tucked under his arm. He grumbled something unintelligible, clearly frustrated with himself before he finally sighed, "I just don't want you to get hurt."
"Mobius..." You looked directly into his eyes, and for a second, there was no missing variant, no exasperated Ravonna surely waiting for the both of you, just two friends concerned for each other. "I'll be fine, I promise."
You wanted to sound more sure of yourself, you wanted to be more sure of yourself, but with how up in the air everything was at the moment, you couldn't really be sure of anything.
He sighed, and you could tell just by the way he looked at you, with his eyes so full of worry, and a melancholy sort of half-smile on his lips, that he knew you wouldn't leave his side so easily.
"Promise?" He asked, his eyes furiously scanning your features as he awaited your answer.
"For all time." You smiled.
"Always."
Tumblr media
It wasn't until you were forced to chase an escaped variant when you realized just how confusing your workplace could be. The endless corridors and the same three orange-hued propaganda posters plastered on every wall didn't help much in your search either. After a while every, hallway began to blend together.
You wondered what the point of all this chasing was at the end of the day, it wasn't like he'd really be able to escape anyways. Even if he managed to find a way back onto some random date on the timeline, that substantial of a Nexus Event would surely be rectified in no time at all.
You and Mobius had split off from the group of hunters at some point along the way, realizing that separating was probably the better option, though a part of you wondered if it was just that maybe Mobius couldn't stand being with those hunters for any longer.
After an endless amount of circling and aggravated grumbling, "Should've never interrupted... Never would'a lost him then." You both found yourselves at the doors to the time theater once again.
For once, it seemed, that the forever-creaking doors decided to finally silence in your favor, that, or Loki was completely distracted by the video playing before him now. But as you finally realized what scene was playing out, you figured the latter was more probable.
"You will never be... A God."
You could barely bring yourself to look, your hand coming up to cover your mouth as you watched.
You knew that this happened, that once all was said and done, Loki would die.
There was something undeniably unnerving about watching it play out on the projection before you though, his pale skin turning a skin-crawling shade of light purple as the Titan dropped him carelessly to the floor.
You couldn't help the quiet gasp that escaped you as the reel finished unceremoniously, the bleak, pale light of the END OF FILE illuminating the room.
The chilling sound of desperate laughter suddenly filled the room, and Mobius took a single, echoing step from the door before finally speaking.
"What's so funny?"
Loki huffed, his back straightening as he took a deep breath, "Glorious purpose."
Mobius hummed, taking a few steps closer to him, "Nowhere left to run..."
Though as Loki sluggishly walked to the side of the room, gracelessly dropping himself down onto the small ledge that lined the perimeter of the room, you couldn't help but think all this chasing and melodrama was all for nothing.
It seemed that he had come to realize on his own that there was no use in running. What was there for him to run back to?
"I can't go back, can I? To my timeline?" His voice was thick with exhaustion as he looked up at Mobius.
You and Mobius shared a melancholy sigh before he continued.
"I don't enjoy... Hurting people. I don't enjoy it."
Your footsteps thundered through the nearly-silent room, and you could hear how Mobius' breath caught in his throat as you suddenly sat beside Loki.
You placed your clipboard beside you before taking a deep breath. You could feel your heartbeat in your throat, unsure if you would even be able to get any words out at all. You looked to Mobius before finally speaking, "Explain that to me."
You turned to face him, and you almost wished you hadn't. His eyes were glassy, his forehead wrinkled as his lips turned into a faint frown.
It amazed you how this was the God that Mobius had warned you so much about, how even Ravonna had once told you how vicious the Loki variants could be.
As you looked at him now, you couldn't help but think how wrong they both seemed to be.
"Because it's part of the illusion." He smiled weakly, "It's the cruel... Elaborate trick, conjured by the weak to inspire fear."
Before you could even respond, Mobius cut you off.
"So you do know yourself..."
"A villain." He answered suspiciously quickly, as if the words were always sitting in the back of his throat, just waiting for someone to prompt him.
"That's not how I see it" You whispered, your eyes widening at your own statement. You casually turned from him, looking back to Mobius, trying to ignore the unfamiliar warmth that bloomed in your chest as you felt Loki's gaze lock on you.
"Listen..." Mobius interjected, "I can't offer you salvation, but maybe I can offer you something better."
Loki left your side, slowly crossing the room to Mobius as he continued.
"A fugitive variant's been killing our minute men-"
"And you need the God of Mischief to help you stop them?"
Even as he tried his best to humor Mobius, you could still hear the faint traces of heartbreak in his tone.
"That's right."
"Why me?"
Oh, yeah. That.
Until now, you had almost entirely forgotten why this Loki was so important to Mobius in the first place.
"The variant we're hunting is... You."
Even though that fact had been sitting in the back of your mind ever since he had arrived, you found yourself shuttering at the idea.
If this was only the havoc that one Loki could cause in the TVA, you didn't want to even begin to imagine what more of them could do.
For a moment, you found your and Loki's thoughts syncing up perfectly.
"I beg your pardon?"
Tumblr media
You didn't think these days could get any stranger, at least not until you patiently waited for Loki to notice you from the corner of his eye as he swatted the animated Miss Minutes on his desk with the rolled up Jet Ski magazine.
“New uniform?” You asked, and he hastily spun in his chair in response, his arms spread wide to give you a full view of his new attire. “Looks good.” You smiled, leaning on the edge of the Mobius’ former cubicle which had now been turned into Loki’s makeshift training room.
"It'll do." He smirked, wiping his hands down the front of his pants. He grumbled something else unintelligible under his breath before tossing the worn-out Jet Ski magazine back onto the desk in front of him. “So,” He spun in his chair now to face you, “Other than all this” He gestured aimlessly around the bustling office, “What do you do?”
The answer to his question should have come easily to you, you had done nothing but this for what felt like your entire life, yet you found you couldn’t find the words to explain your own work. It felt like such a vulnerable question, one that was reserved for close friends and your coworkers, and he certainly wasn't close to either of those things.
Loki came into your life like a hurricane, turning your entire office upside down in what seemed like only a few moments. He was pure anarchy, disguised in a button up and dress pants, though you couldn't help the strange voice that nagged at you from the back of your mind as he grinned at you, insisting that you could trust him.
So you stammered out the only answer you could think of, one that seemed to be carved into the very ridges of your brain since as far back as you could remember. “Protect the timeline.”
Loki instantly scoffed and your brow furrowed, not so much out of offense, but at the idea that he may have known just as well as you did how unsure you were of your answer.
"You asked what I did" You smiled timidly, feeling how your arms seemed to cross over your chest on their own accord, as if your body was already telling you to activate some sort of long forgotten self-defense programming from your training days.
"You really are so good, aren't you." You heard him mumble, so quietly, that if you hadn't been standing so close to him, you probably wouldn't have heard it.
"What?" You questioned, almost choking on your own words.
"You're good. Purely decent." He swiftly explained, "You are truly, one of the good guys. It's a rare occurrence. You should be proud."
"Why does that somehow feel like an insult coming from you?" You laughed.
"I can assure you it's not, simply..." He thought for a moment, his lips curling into a smirk once he finally came to a conclusion. "An observation."
You raised your eyebrows at him, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
"I mean, what else do you do around here other than," He gestured aimlessly around the office, "This?"
You stammered as you quickly realized that no one had ever asked you that before, well, you supposed no one ever needed to, you all worked here anyway, what else was there to talk about?
"Talk... I guess..?" You almost winced at your own answer, when had you become so boring?
"How thrilling." Loki deadpanned, "Haven't you any hobbies? Anything you actually enjoy?"
You thought for a moment, the only ideas coming to your mind being work related. "Mobius and I..." You finally sighed, a soft smile on your lips as you answered. "After everything's done for the day, sometimes we go to the cafeteria."
"You have to be, the dullest human I have ever met."
"Hey!" You exclaimed humorously, attempting to mask the slight pang of disappointment that came with his observation. "Is saving the timeline not enough for you?"
"I believe you know my file well enough to know the answer to that."
"I think you have the wrong Analyst." You mumbled.
Loki tilted his head, his eyes squinting for a moment before he continued, "Am I to really believe that you, of all people, haven't see it?"
"Seen what?"
"My file. Or whatever other documentation this place has curated for me." He replied, rolling his eyes at the notion.
"I've seen it before, Mobius has shown it to me before," You added, "But that was it." You smiled softly, a twinge of dissatisfaction in your tone as you continued, "It's just not my area."
You could hear the sardonic hum of amusement that escaped him before he replied, "I must say, I didn't take you for a sidekick."
Before you had a chance respond, Mobius seemed to materialize beside you, his hand suddenly securely fixed on your lower back.
A quiet whimper escaped you at the unexpected feeling.
"S'that my Jetski magazine?" He asked, casually inserting himself into your conversation.
You tried to chuckle at the odd possessiveness Mobius always exhibited over his treasured magazines, but you couldn't even bring yourself to.
Sure, Mobius had touched you before, after what you could only imagine to be years upon years of working together, it was pretty hard to not come in contact with each other, but this felt different.
He stood just the slightest bit behind you, the front of his shoulder almost brushing against the back of yours.
His voice never wavered though, there wasn't a single shadow of edge or defense in his face, he just sounded just like the same, amiable Mobius that you had come to be such good friends with.
The only fact that had changed was that he was touching you, no, holding you, like you were something to loose.
You decided not to dwell on it for now.
"Anyways, c'mon, gear up, there's been an attack."
Your head was spinning at his abrupt change in pace, and you wondered why he hadn't led with that in the first place. Maybe he had other things on his mind.
Loki shot up from his chair as Mobius haphazardly tossed him a packaged jacket, the both of you hurriedly trailing behind him.
"Is he always like that?" Loki asked, though you were too busy trying to keep up with both of the men's lengthy strides to respond at first.
"He just get's excited abo-"
"So protective of you?"
If you all weren't in such a hurry, you probably would've paused in your tracks right then.
Was that what that was?
Despite your own questioning of Mobius' intentions with the gesture, you decided to not even give Loki the satisfaction he so clearly desired from you.
You only hummed in response at first, keeping your gaze locked in front of you as you weaved in and out of the many desks and cubicles that littered the main floor.
"That's Mobius." You finally replied, but was it? If you hadn't been so focused on trying to make sure you didn't lose Mobius in the crowded office, you probably would've closed your eyes to cringe at your own answer.
You couldn't tell if your breaths were becoming shallower from the sprint Mobius had just put you both through, or if your shortness of breath had something to do with how suddenly damp your palms had become.
This was what he wanted, to bother you, to get under your skin.
Just like Mobius told you.
You shook your head to yourself, maybe you would scold yourself later for putting so much sympathy in him, for thinking he was anything more than a self-entitled prince that longed for nothing more than to cause chaos, though a part of you still couldn't help but feel bad for him.
You took a deep breath, that was for later, there was more to focus on now.
Not another word was uttered between the two of you for the rest of the way, and even though you didn't dare look at him directly, you could still sense the smirk that was surely turned the corners of his lips as he studied you, searching for any crack in your facade.
Protective. You thought, of course he would be protective of you, you were his friend. He knew Loki more than anyone, and if he was worried, you were sure it was for good reason.
Tumblr media
You smiled as you walked through the Timedoor, thankful for once that the location was somewhere slightly more enjoyable than sixteenth century France.
You wondered when the last time you had been to a Renaissance Fair rather than the actual Renaissance.
It was a nice change.
There were some times when you wished you could just stay, to witness the ever-stretching passing of time in places just like this.
There was so much life here. Colorful, patterned flags gently swayed gently in the breeze as children in not-so-accurate medieval witch and knight costumes ran around you without a care in the world. You paused for a moment, trying to take it all in without the pressure of a rogue variant on the loose or the endless paperwork that would surely arrive on your desk after all this.
"You on break time?"
You groaned, sighing before looking beside you to find another hunter.
"Just enjoying the view" You mumbled as you took another glance around.
You started to join the rest of the group, trailing just a few feet behind so you could still manage to get some peace before the inevitable pandemonium that awaited you all.
"Oof!"
You gasped when the sudden force collided with your leg.
"Sorry Miss!" The small voice below you chirped.
You looked down, the over-sized witch hat obscuring the rest of the child from your vision until she turned her chin up, smiling brightly at you.
"That's okay" You smiled, kneeling down to match her gaze, "Just as long as you don't put a curse on me."
The small girl's curls bounced as she shook her head fervently, "I'm a good witch!"
You let out a soft "Ah" in feigned realization, nodding your head.
If you hadn't been trying to entertain her, you probably would've rolled your eyes, groaning at the thought that in a few moments, you'd have to rush off and eventually leave this small bubble of normalcy.
One day, you swore, maybe you'd stay for more than a few minutes.
You looked to your side, spotting a small, rogue Daisy beside the girl's boots. You smiled before gently tearing it from the ground.
"Thank you-" You laughed at how the girl already snatched the flower from you before you had even fully lifted it to her, "For not cursing me." You whispered.
The little girl giggled, clutching the flower to her chest as she leaned into you, "You're welcome."
The sound of your name being called had you both jumping, your head whipping around to see both Mobius and Loki standing at the entrance to the large tent that stood in the center of the fair.
You smiled before finally standing up, watching as her bright smile quickly turned to a pout as she realized you had to leave.
She gasped, making you look down again.
"S'that your prince!"
You looked back at the two men, noticing how both of them were focusing on you, as if they had been listening to the whole conversation, a faint, almost-wistful smile on both of their faces.
"Sort of." You finally answered, before waving a quick goodbye.
"Think you were a Princess?" Mobius asked smirking when you finally joined them.
You let out a soft hum of amusement before walking past them.
"Smoothly done."
Loki's derisive response caught you off guard, to the point of almost tripping over your own feet as you rushed into the tent.
His sarcastic reply was only met with an unintelligible grumble from Mobius.
Any thought you had on the odd exchange dissipated in seconds though, you sighed as you looked around, helmets and batons thrown about haphazardly around the face-down bodies.
This was going to be a long day.
Tumblr media
It was over before it began really, after a quick attempt at deceit from Loki, the whole ordeal ended with a reset charge. As it always did.
Before you knew it, all three of you were being rushed to Ravonna's office. It was a flurry of bickering and mindless back and forth arguments as Loki tried to convince Mobius that it was all just 'a lesson in catching a Loki'.
"Watch him." Mobius finally huffed, rushing into the office and swiftly closing the door behind him before you could even say anything.
You heard Loki unceremoniously drop himself into the padded chair to the left of large, golden double doors.
"I'm sure you won't have to supervise me for long." He mumbled.
You couldn't even bring yourself to look at him, continuing to stare back at your distorted reflection as your own thoughts began to torture you.
It seemed that every time things didn't go just quite the way Mobius had planned, or rather, Ravonna had planned, you always found yourself right here, feet planted firmly outside the doors that you knew you would probably never see the opposite side of.
You were just as a part of those mission as Mobius, and still everyone acted as if you were still an inept trainee.
"I didn't take you for a sidekick"
The words now seemed to bounce off of every corner of your mind. Was that really all they saw you as? You closed your eyes, doing your best to bury the thought, though the effort was useless.
You would always be thankful for Mobius taking you under his wing, but in times like this, you couldn't help but indulge the notion of where you would be if he hadn't been so quick to swoop in to your life. Certainly not as far up as you were now, if it weren't for him, you probably still wouldn't have been allowed in the court room, but maybe you'd still be you.
You wouldn't just be Mobius's assistant, his protégé, his sidekick.
You were a Junior Analyst. The title was etched as clear as day on the small placard that sat on the corner of your desk, yet still everyone seemed to think that you were nothing more than a temp.
"Somehow, this doesn't seem like the first time this has happened." Loki interrupted your silence, and for the first time today, you kind of felt grateful he was talking to you. You appreciated the brief distraction from your own thoughts.
You sighed, finally ripping yourself from the spot in front of the door and sitting in the chair opposite him. You feigned a weak smile as you rubbed your temples.
"Tell me, do they always slam the door on you when the adults are talking?"
If you had any more energy, you'd probably roll your eyes, maybe you'd even have the nerve to quip back at him, but now, you didn't even have the energy to tamp down the small sparks of self doubt that Loki only continued to fan.
"Sometimes." You finally mumbled.
"If it's any consolation, I thought you did well today."
You had to suppress the scoff that threatened to leave you at his words. He hadn't gotten that blaring, emblazoned Variant jacket more than a few hours ago, and yet here he was telling you that you did a good job like he was your boss.
You should've been more annoyed with him, but only a strange feeling of warmth filled you as he spoke.
When was the last time someone told you that?
You swallowed, before responding with a quick "Thanks."
"I mean that." He urged, and your brows furrowed, "And trust me, I wouldn't just say that."
Trust me.
"I appreciate it."
You hated how sharp you sounded, how on edge, but you couldn't help it. You wanted to say it was because of him, of Loki, but if you were being honest with yourself, that was mostly a lie.
If helping Mobius on a larger case such as this one had begun to reveal anything, it was that you were growing weary of only being seen as Mobius's second in command.
It felt nice to have someone finally pat you on the back for once.
"You didn't do too bad yourself" You smiled, "If you didn't try to throw us all off into a Red-line..."
You watched his smile grow when you finally responded with more than three words, his eyes shining like he had finally managed to unlock a treasure chest that had been locked for eons.
"I was testing you, you know-"
"Keeping our ears sharp?" You smirked.
"Exactly." He hummed before continuing, "That little girl in the market, dressed as a witch, what did she say to you?"
You chuckled, you had almost forgotten about that moment entirely in all the chaos. "She ran into me, I told her thank you for not putting a curse on me."
"And when Mobius called you and she saw us, what did she say?"
Your lips drew into a thin line at his sudden line of questioning, even though it seemed harmless, you couldn't help the faint whisper of suspicion that nagged at you from the back of your mind.
"She asked if one of you was my prince." You smiled.
"What did you say?"
You lifted your chin to better see his features in the orange-hued lighting of the makeshift waiting room. You noticed new wrinkles in his forehead as he waited your answer, his eyes didn't look so calculating anymore, and if you looked hard enough, you thought you could see just the smallest bit of care in his gaze, as if he were waiting on the edge of his seat to hear your reply.
"I told her that she'd have to ask you herself."
He let out a humored groan in response, "How could you!" He exclaimed playfully, "You just broke that girl's heart, you know."
"And how did I do that?" You sputtered through your own laughter.
"Now she'll have to live out her life never knowing if either of us were your prince or not!"
You gasped jokingly as he continued to berate you, your laughter carrying through the hallway and probably past Ravonna's office doors as well, but you couldn't bring yourself to care.
"I don't think I can live with myself" You sighed, wiping away any rogue tears that had begun to roll down your cheeks during your amusement.
"You are truly a menace to the timeline." He added, winking.
You wanted to hate the strange warmth that suddenly began to bloom within your chest.
But in truth, you didn't mind.
You took a deep breath, collecting yourself, "How are you feeling though, about all this?"
"Nothing I can't manage."
"I know this can be... A lot, all at once..."
You recalled the first time you had seen the variant processing procedures, watching humans and aliens alike being subjected to such aggressive rounds of supervision and precaution made you cringe.
You wondered what Loki really thought of all of that. You wondered if he really was just indifferent to the experience like he had said, or rather just aggravated by the whole process.
Your mind wandered for a moment, was he scared?
He had been ripped from the timeline, not even knowing the power of what he had done with the Tesseract. You knew that a majority of the hunters weren't kind, and although you understood why, you often thought that they could make more of an effort to be a little more compassionate when transferring variants into processing.
You wondered if any of it was really worth it, just to send someone to their inevitable pruning.
"I can assure you, I can handle whatever the Time Keepers" He drawled out each syllable before as he continued, "Throw in my direction."
You smiled, "Good."
The door unlocked with a resonant click as Mobius emerged, his face flushed. He walked past the both of you, his only acknowledgement of your existence a hasty, "Let's go."
You and Loki both shot up from your seats before Mobius quickly turned, both of you pausing in place like a pair of headlight stricken deer.
Your name echoed from his mouth in a tone you didn't think you had ever heard before, like a command, you thought.
You felt Loki's eyes land on you as you stared back at Mobius, anxiously awaiting whatever he was going to say next.
"We don't need you for this one." He smiled weakly, almost apologetically, "You can take a break."
"Mobius, I-"
"It's okay," He swiftly interrupted, "I got this one, I'll come and get you if I need you, okay?"
It was an odd feeling, a mixture of indignation and relief and confusion hitting you all at once.
He didn't wait for your response before leaving you, swiftly turning and gesturing for Loki to follow him as you stood frozen, dumbfounded in the middle of the hallway.
You were suddenly thankful that no one was ever really around this area of the office, Ravonna's Lair, as some of the other Analysts would call it. You knew that you probably wouldn't ever come this way if you had any say in the matter. Even on days when everyone seemed to be working overtime, this small intersection of hallways and doors was always nearly empty.
You were grateful for that fact now.
There was a brief moment were your own feet faltered, taking a single step in the direction they had left you.
You wanted to follow them, you were just as a part of this as Mobius, this wasn't just his case.
Though as you pulled your bottom lip between your teeth, the fleeting thought flew from you just as quickly as it came.
You were sure it was for a good reason.
And so you trudged back to your desk, and for the first time in what felt like forever.
Mobius was leaving your side.

Cold Illusions & Scorching Lies Pt. 9
Tumblr media
Pairing: Loki x Pregnant reader
Summary: Many try to tear you and your prince apart from each other. When Loki lets go of the past that brought him to his doom, you begin to realize you’re not the only one who uncovers a forbidden truth.
Author’s Notes: these events will be in chronicle order of the Thor movies. (Italicized text will be flashbacks). They will be titled for every part.
Warning: death
Loki (2021)
Do you enjoy hurting people?
Making them feel small?
Making them feel afraid?
Those words echo in his brain ever since he has arrived at the TV-A.
He doesn’t know how many nights he spent there or what year it was. All he knew was that he escaped the year 2012 and tried to make sense of his journey in life, especially him witnessing his death.
But what about you?
Mobius only showed him moments of him from when he was defeated by the Avengers or how he witnessed his mother being murdered by the Dark Elves.
He almost had his heart thawed seeing his father depart the physical plane.
He mourned at the last words his brother said to him before he died.
But what he doesn’t understand was why you were not featured in these moments.
Loki knows Mobius is hiding something. The trickster even requested your file and everything was blank.
There must have had some recording of you as Loki was wondering where you are in the future.
Were you alright?
Were you hurt?
What if he hurt you?
He realized that he did as he chose not to face the consequences of his actions and left you alone on the rainbow bridge. Loki left you so you could answer for his crimes.
He then gets out of his bed and goes up to Mobius’ cubicle, knowing he’d be working there.
Mobius shoots up to greet his friend. “There’s my favorite-”
“What happened to my wife?” Loki abruptly asked.
The agent’s mouth dries, unprepared for this moment.
“I know you’re hiding something about her, as you refused to show any evidence to show if my wife is alright.”
Mobius sighs in defeat, straightening his posture in his chair.
“There’s a reason for that…” Mobius said cautiously.
Loki throws his fist on the table, earning a few stares around the workplace.
“I will not help you in your investigation until I know what happens to her.”
Mobius looks at the raven haired man and gets up to leave.
“Follow me.” the agent says.
The god of mischief is content that he’s finally getting his answers. But he’s afraid of why it took Mobius so long to show what’s in store for Loki.
The agent takes Loki back to the screening room again. Mobius writes a password on the keyboard and the projected screen lights up.
“If I show you this, there’s no turning back.” Mobius warns his friend.
Loki shot a look at Mobius, and he bowed his head down.
“After you left, Odin entrapped her in a necklace in order to delay Ragnorak due to a prohecy. She was stuck in time for almost ten years. Once Odin passed, her imprisonment ended and you reunited. It was short-lived as both of you were separated and met again on the planet of Sakaar.”
Mobius said as Loki saw himself with you in a room.
“Darling, please. You know I would have never forsaken you.” Loki said, as he held her hand.
“So falling into an abyss at Asgard and leaving me in the clutches of Odin was what, Loki?” she says, her voice dimming down as tears threatened to roll down her face.
Loki got closer to her as he wrapped his arms around her waist, forcing her to look at him. “When I learned that you disappeared without a trace, I felt broken. The best part of me was missing and nothing would have filled that void unless you were in my arms.”
Loki sees how you move back from his touch and untie your robe, revealing a swell in your abdomen.
You were with child, his child.
He saw how he grazed his fingers on your belly, almost as if to see this was a trick, a cold illusion that was playing on him.
But this was real.
“You two stayed in the grandmaster’s palace for a few weeks. You didn’t tell her that Thor arrived and she left because of your scorching lies. It wasn’t until she decided to go back to find you so you both could save Asgard.”
Mobius said, switching to a channel where he saw himself on the ground as you were teary-eyed.
“I know I read the file, but how did me and my wife cause Ragnarok?” Loki dared to ask.
Mobius held his breath. “Loki, the next part isn't going to be so pretty.”
“I don’t care, I need to see what happens!” Loki gritted through his teeth.
Mobius looks at the man before him and fast forward to when they arrived to Asgard.
—-------------------------------------------------------
“You’re late.” Thor said as he walks over to the couple.
“You’re missing an eye.” Loki responded, as you made your way to Thor, hugging him quickly.
“I’m glad you’re alive.” You stated as you cared for Thor.
He smiles at you and looks down to see your growing abdomen.
“Even after my brother told me, I’m still surprised that you’re going to be parents.” He says, beaming at both of you.”
“Oi! No time for catching up, we have an army of the dead attacking us.” The valkyrie screamed as she neared you all.
“I need to get to the palace.” You simply stated, looking at your husband.
“I’ll take you there.” He states, taking your hand as you brave the soldiers in front of you.
You didn’t know if Loki was using bits of magic to help you fight through the bridge, but a source of adrenaline flooded through your blood. You then see how one of the dead soldiers is about to strike your husband. Waisting no time, you raise your hands and shot a spiral of hot fire at them.
They soon turned to ash and Loki looked up at you, amazed.
“Remind me to not upset you again.” He jests.
“I wouldn’t dream of it.” you joke back as you finally enter the kingdom.
It wasn’t long until you arrived to the trophy room where you saw your father’s crown. You carried it off from its pedestal, feeling his powers course through your body.
You’re about to run off to the eternal flame till you saw Loki staring at the infinity stone.
“Love.” you said, walking up to him.
He turns to you with sadness in his eyes.
“The person I was a few years ago would have done anything to get that power, and all because I was blinded by what Thanos promised.” He says, looking back at the cube.
You place your father’s crown in your right arm as you reached for your husband’s hand with your left.
“We have a new chance to make things the way we want to, write our own destiny.” You reassured him.
He nods his head as he looks up to the direction where the fire was.
“Go. I’m right behind you.” He said. You kiss him passionately before running to where you Surtur will rise.
Once you arrive to the step, you hold his crown in between your hands.
“Father, you are reborn.” You said as you let go, seeing the crown fill with life as glowing orbs appeared in the fire. He begins to grow in height and you back away momentarily, scared.
He grows almost ten feet tall till he stops and sees who revived him.
“My ruby…” He says warmly like a candle at night.
“Come forth so I may bless you with my powers and knowledge of your birth realm.” He says, raising his hand. You slowly walk up to him and see how he presses his finger to your head, burning a spot on your forehead. Your eyes glow the same yellow as his, feeling his power grow into you. Once he pulls his hand away, you fall backwards from exhaustion, until a pair of arms caught you.
“Loki?” you question as you looked up.
“We need to go now” Loki screamed as he carried you out of the palace as Surtur began to grow into his true form.
You don’t know how as you lost consciousness but you heard Loki screaming.
“Please, I need a healer or a midwife. Help my wife, I beg you!”
Your body gets pulled away from his embrace and you see glimpses of women attending to you.
Momentarily, you awoke from what you thought was a nightmare and saw your husband sitting impatiently in a chair near the bed you’re lying on.
You begin to shift in your position, seeing Loki snap his gaze at you once again, feeling the tears brim to his eyes.
“Thank goodness you’re alright.” He said, pulling you in a bone crushing hug. You hold onto him for what felt like an eternity and pulled away so you could push back the strands of hair that was hiding his face.
“What happened at the fire? All I saw was Surtur placing his finger at your temple and you fell back.” He asks.
Your hand flies to your head, where there was no evidence of a scar or burn.
“My father, he parted me the last knowledge and powers of Muspelheim. I never understood at first, but my realm’s power course within me… within our babe.” you said, feeling your bump. Loki looks down as well, putting his hand on top of yours.
“Our child is the product of two legacies. They shall carry on with great pride.” Loki says, putting his free hand on the side of your face.
“We shall carry on to our bright future.” You said, as you two pulled in to a blissful kiss that would envy all the stars in the galaxy.
—-------------------------------------------------------
The projected screen shuts off and Loki hasn’t realized that he’s crying.
“I- need to find her, tell her I’m alright!” Loki says, getting up from his chair.
“You can’t do that Loki” Mobius said calmly as he gets up to calm the raven haired man.
“You don’t understand. She probably witnessed my death. Oh no, what if she gave birth to our child? I can’t let them grow up without their father. I will not allow that.” Loki said, trying to leave but Mobius puts him in a time loop again.
Loki stops in his tracks, his eyes turning red from anger.
“WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME FROM SEEING HER?” Loki screams.
“BECAUSE SHE’S DEAD!” Mobius yells out.
Loki stands still forgetting how to breathe as the room fell silent.
Mobius sat in his chair defeated, looking down as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
“A few months after the snapping, she goes into labor. She delivered the baby, but she hemorrhaged. Even if you prevent everything, she will still die. That’s her fate for all of her variants. Your wife died selflessly to give her child the chance to live.”
Loki feels his head spinning as he knelt on the floor. He felt sick to his very core. All he could dow as shake his head and pound his fist to the floor, muttering no. His mutters turned into a bloody screamed and he cried out in agony. Mobius gets out of his chair quickly and tries to pull up Loki off his feet. He refuses to do so, but he just sobs out his pain.
He doesn’t know how long Loki stayed there, but he got up and refused to utter a single word as he slowly walked to his room.
He didn’t leave for the longest time as he forced himself to starve. He didn’t allow himself to sleep as he would abruptly wake up from nightmares of losing you.
One night, Loki turned around on his bed and saw a small packet appeared out of the blue on his nightstand. He slowly grabs it and reads the note on top of it.
You have one chance to make things right. I’ll make sure no one knows. - Mobius
Loki tears off the packaging and sees the traveling tech agents use to go to different realms. He breath becomes shaky as he realizes what he can do.
He was going to save you.

Loki
Pairing: Loki x fem!reader, Mobius x daughter!reader
Category: One-shot
Summary: You are the daughter of Mobius and an agent at the TVA. When a particularly handsome Loki variant is captured and recruited to help your father, everything you know and thought you knew changes. (Loosely following the plot line of original Loki series.)
Warnings: Major Loki spoilers, mentions of being punched, unconsciousness
Tumblr media
You were sitting in the corner with your feet propped up on a chair, eating an apple and reading a book. You glanced up when the doors opened, watching as Mobius and the Loki variant entered the room.
Loki’s green eyes landed on you first, studying you with a furrowed brow. You looked back at him, taking in his tall, thin form and dark, tangled hair. He was different than the other Lokis you had seen. Quiet. And handsome.
Mobius crossed to the room’s only table and began setting up the things he would need to convince Loki to work with him. Loki’s pace was slower, taking in the room’s limited decorations.
“For the record,” he said. “This really does feel like a killing me kind of a room.”
“Not big on trust, are you?”
“Trust is for children. And dogs. There’s only one person you can trust.”
“Yourself? I like it. Slap it on a t-shirt.” Mobius glanced over at you. “She’d buy one, wouldn’t you?”
You gave him a look over the top of your book, your lips twitching in a smile.
Loki’s attention was drawn to you once more. “Who are you?”
“A sucker for his schemes.” You licked the apple juice off two fingers and turned turned a page, pretending that you weren’t becoming interested in the new variant. That you couldn’t feel the icy burn of his gaze searing through you.
“That’s just a nice way of saying she’s my daughter.” Mobius went on to explain that you were an agent and were occasionally pulled to help out with his cases. It wasn’t a well-known thing, the two of you being related. Family ties often made working together complicated, especially when either one of you were sent out on dangerous missions. As long as the two of you stayed professional, the Time Keepers seemed content with letting you work together. After all, it was the Time Keepers themselves who created the bonds between you. Something you never understood but were continually thankful for. It was nice to have Mobius as a dad.
Loki was asking about the time streams now. Mobius was explaining. You glanced up whenever Loki tried to escape, making sure Mobius had it under control before looking back at your book. You felt Loki glancing at you, probably wondering if you were going to contribute.
“Big metaphor guy, aren’t you?” Mobius’s statement caused you to look up. “Makes you sound super smart.”
     “I am smart.” Loki replied.
“No need to bully him, Mobius.” You gave him another look when he turned to look at you, this one much more serious than the last. “He’s had enough of that as it is.”
“I know.” Mobius nodded, looking between you and Loki. “By the end of this I might have a literal devil’s advocate.”
Loki’s expression seemed to change, his gaze softening ever so slightly as he looked at you. The eye contact lingered before Mobius started the film of Loki’s life, then you ducked behind your book once more. You hated watching that film. So violent and painful and sad. Mobius stayed relaxed, commenting on every scene as it played out. Even when he got to the part about Loki’s greatest escapes you didn’t look. Mobius was going in for the kill. And you did not want to watch.
You weren’t sure how much time had passed before Hunter B-15 entered the room, barking at Mobius that a situation needed attention.
Mobius sighed. “Always a situation.” He pointed a finger at Loki. “Don’t go anywhere.” He looked at you. “Keep an eye on him.”
You nodded, watching him leave with Hunter B-15 who made sure to give you a look of irritation on the way out. She didn’t like you. Never had. She didn’t think you and your father should be allowed to work with one another. And she had several objections to allowing a variant to help work a case. Her looks and comments stung you deeply, but for Mobius’s sake you always pretended to shrug it off.
Once they were gone you closed the book and stood, tossing the apple core into a corner where it automatically disappeared into nothing. You had never understood why this happened, but it certainly made trash disposal convenient.
Loki glared at you from across the room, however you could also see the fear and uncertainty swirling in his eyes. You had seen that look before in the eyes of other variants who had been pruned. It was the same fear that plagued Loki now.
He started towards you, his long, confident strides the exact opposite of the expression he was trying so hard to hide. “Now that we’re alone, darling.”
“You’re going to attempt to escape?” You reached into your pocket and pulled out a TemPad, readying yourself for his next move. “Again?”
“Oh, it won’t be an attempt this time.” Loki reached into his own pocket and withdrew a second TemPad. Your father’s TemPad. “I will execute an escape.”
Your heart gave a painful twist. Your thumb brushed over your TemPad, but you had hardly pushed a button before Loki smacked it out of your hand and grabbed you, shoving you back into a wall.
“The only question now is,” Loki growled, his face only inches from yours. “How am I going to keep you from alerting the others.”
“You’ll have to knock me out.” You replied, your gaze even even as your heart began to pound. “There’s nothing in here to tie and gag me with and neither of us have a weapon. You’ll have to punch me.”
Loki considered this for a moment, his head cocking to the side. “You’re being very helpful considering the situation.”
“My father sees good in you.”
     “And you agree with him?”
     “Depends.”
     “On?”
“On how many teeth you knock out.” Your voice cracks at the end, causing you to drop your gaze down to his chest.
There was silence between you for a moment. Then Loki reached up. You stiffened and flinched, surprised when he touched your chin and lifted your gaze back up to his.
“Stay still.” He ordered, his voice much softer than before.
Your breathing grew fast and stuttered as he slipped his hand around your neck and cupped the back of it, feeling him apply pointed pressure to the nerves there. He was going to break your neck.
You panicked. “No, no,” you pushed against his chest and tried to struggle. “Please, no.”
“Easy, shh.” Loki gave your neck a quick squeeze and you crumpled, sure to have fallen hard if Loki hadn’t caught you and gently eased you to the floor.
You whimpered, but strangely you felt no pain. Everything became dark and out of focus. You felt Loki’s hands on you, feeling your pulse. His hands were cool. They felt...nice. You didn’t let anyone touch you. Especially not any men. When he positioned your head to lay in a more comfortable position you wondered if your father was right. There was some good left in Loki.
And then you were gone, lost in the darkness of unconsciousness while the only hope Mobius had for solving the case escaping off into another section of the TVA. However, you had a feeling that was not the last time that they two of you would meet.

MY MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
You felt the ocean splash around your knees as you wadded into the water one step at a time. You felt the sun against your skin and closed your eyes under its heat.
Farther out at sea, there was a sound, like a small engine. You turned your head and saw a jet ski approaching, it was green, yellow, and gold as it ripped through the waves. When you realized who was riding it, your heart skipped a beat though you weren’t sure why.
Mobius was your boss at the TVA, he shouldn’t make you feel a warmth in your core that had you squeezing your thighs together, embarrassed. But the way he rode that jet ski, the confidence, the relaxed smile, it was undeniably sexy.
He coasted the jet ski closer to you as you wadded deeper into the water.
“Hey, sweetheart,” he called out to you, with a wink and wave.
You turned around, looking behind you, before you realized he was looking straight at you.
“Hey yourself,” you replied, not sure what else to say.
Mobius looked over your head towards the lifeguard hut back on the beach.
You followed his gaze and saw a tall man, with long black hair leaning against the railing, smiling at you both. He was wearing sunglasses, yet somehow you knew his eyes were an intoxicating blue-green colour.
You felt the heat return to your core, but along with it came complete confusion. You had no idea how you got to the beach in the first place, and even less understanding why Mobius was with you, or who the mysterious man smiling at you mischievously actually was.
Mobius stood beside you in the water, intertwining his hand in yours, sending a shiver up your spine.
“We gotta go, come on,” Mobius said, his voice louder and farther away than his body language implied.
“Where?” you asked.
“Wake up!” he yelled at you, but his face was completely calm.
His hand jerked yours, knocking you off balance and you stumbled.
“Mobius!” you called out, surprised.
“Let’s go,” Mobius called.
Then you woke up.
Your eyes snapped open as you panted, your heart racing as you looked around your modest TVA apartment bedroom. You identified Mobius on the other side of your door, banging on it, calling your name.
“We have to go,” Mobius repeated.
“I’m up, I’m coming,” you grumbled as you pulled yourself out of bed and threw on your TVA uniform.
After you were dressed, you took a deep breath and tried to shake off your most recent dream. You’d been dreaming of Mobius and the mysterious dark haired man for what felt like ages now, but you wished they would stop. It was hard enough to pretend not to be in love with Mobius without dreaming of a reality where you two could be together.
Mobius waited for you in the hall, resting against the wall, perusing a file in his hand. He looked up when you joined him outside of your apartment with a kind smile that pouted his lips, and squinted his eyes.
“What’s the problem?” you asked, “Where’s the case?”
“It’s a tricky one, going to require some research on our part before we jump in I think,” Mobius said, leading you towards the library.
“That’s why you had to rush me awake? I didn’t even get a chance to grab a coffee,” you complained.
Mobius materialized a coffee and handed it to you. You knew magic wasn’t possible inside the TVA, but Mobius always found a way to make the impossible happen even without magic.
“I thought you said magic didn’t exist in the TVA?” you joked.
“It’s not magic, I just knew you’d be useless without this,” Mobius teased in return.
You accepted the coffee and decided to take his barb as a compliment, it was nice to be noticed, and you took a sip, barely suppressing a moan of gratitude as you did.
You followed Mobius to the library where he sent you to work pulling files and settled himself into a table, setting out the files he brought with him.
You two spent the day together pouring over files. The issue still wasnt totally clear, but Mobius remained calm, so you did as well.
The end of the day drew near a close as you put away your files and felt good about the work you’d accomplished together.
As you collected your things, Mobius turned to you.
“Let’s grab some dinner,” Mobius suggested.
“As long as it’s not a salad,” you joked.
Mobius led the way through the library, but you were stopped by Hunter B-15 as she showed Mobius some data on the TemPad.
You hung to the side as they discussed the latest crisis - there was always a crisis - this time Kang’s instructions were more vague than usual which was causing the general chaos around the office.
You weren’t directly involved in the conversation, so you allowed your mind and gaze to wander. Your jaw dropped and the shock couldn’t be more apparent on your face as you saw the unknown man from your dream. He raced toward you, his eyes wet with tears and wide in panic and, was that relief?
He called your name, then Mobius’ with so much emotion you felt your heart break and mend all at once inexplicably. Also, you realized you’d been right in your dream about the colour of his eyes.
You were in shock and therefore rooted in place as Mobius reached out a compassionate hand towards the stranger.
“What division are you with?” Mobius asked him and you saw the man’s heart break clear across his face.
You watched as the man caught a glimpse of the Kang statue in the atrium, an impressive figure sure, but hardly anything new. Mobius turned to you as you watched the other man curiously.
“Do you know him?” you thought his tone was jealous, but you didn’t let yourself believe that to be true.
“No, I can’t, can I?” you said, your voice uncertain.
The man turned back to you and Mobius, ignoring that B-15 was still there, equally confused.
“Mobius, please,” the man choked.
You could see how this was affecting Mobius, he was a man with a deeply compassionate heart after all.
“Let me help you,” Mobius offered.
The man then did what you’d been secretly wishing to do yourself but never gathered the courage, he kissed Mobius, pulling him in by his tie with one hand, and gripping the back of his head with his other hand.
You watched as Mobius froze, surprised, but then he softened and closed his eyes, leaning deeper into the kiss. Your jaw dropped open, unable to look away. You watched as Mobius’ hands snaked up the strangers back and collected a handful of his shirt in a tight grip.
You felt heat in your cheeks as they broke apart and both turned to look at you, their pupils blown wide with lust.
Your chest heaved as Mobius lunged at you unexpectedly, his hands all over you faster than you could process.
“Hey!” B-15 called out, but you gestured to her that you were fine as you felt Mobius lips crash into yours.
His moustache was softer than you expected when it tickled your skin as he kissed you, hungry, needy, desperate. His hand wrapped around you, squeezing you in his arms as his crooked nose pushed against yours, a little clumsy, but oh so sexy.
Your brain was a few steps behind your body, and you were wrapping your arms around his neck before you even actually decided to do just that. It makes sense then that it took more than a breath for the memories to come flooding back.
The images were flashes, moving too quickly for you to really explore, soon replaced by the next incoming memory. First you were back on the beach, napping on a blanket, your limbs tangled with Mobius and the other man. Then you three were in bed, your bed, naked, sweaty.
Before you could process the memory, it switched and you were all in the field, then in the library, then in Judge Renslayer’s office. The memories didn’t stop until you remembered everything.
You broke the kiss, but didn’t let go of Mobius who was looking at you in a way that let you know implicitly implied he had just gone through the same sensation.
B-15 looked at you three confused, and you faced her, still in Mobius’ arms.
“Don’t go kissing me,” B-15 said.
“Understood,” you managed to joke.
“I guess I’ll just go,” she said, shaking her head and leaving.
Then it was just you three.
“Loki,” you gasped, barely containing a sob as you reached your hand out to him.
Tears actually fell down his cheeks as he rushed over to catch your face in his hands. He took a quick moment to just stare at you, take in the sight of you, before he kissed you more roughly than you expected, but thoroughly enjoyed.
The memories were swirling behind your eyes again as Loki’s tongue slipped between your lips and Mobius’ hand trailed down your throat. How could you have forgotten what happened between you, this relationship that had grown and developed since this Loki was absorbed by the TVA? Your Loki.
He had been the key all along, the missing piece that allowed you and Mobius to finally come together, and the three of you completed each other so fully nothing else could compare. Loki arrived and everything else fell into place. Well, until everything else fell apart around them, that was.
“I thought there wasn’t any magic in the TVA?” you asked, breathless.
“I guess love is greater than magic,” Loki whispered, pressing his lips back against yours, softer this time.
Mobius gripped your chin between his thumb and finger and pulled your lips free from Loki’s and towards his own. You smiled under the sensation of his moustache brushing your skin and relished in his commanding grip of you.
“What’s going on?” you asked, reluctantly breaking the kiss, but not letting go of either of them as you turned back to Loki, “Why did we forget you?”
“It’s, complicated,” Loki explained, “I don’t quite know where to begin. How much do you remember?”
“Everything,” Mobius started, “But-”
“It’s all out of order and jumbled,” you finished for him.
“I don’t know how much time we have,” Loki explained, his brow furrowed.
You brushed his cheek with your thumb, wiping away the remaining tears, “Then let’s take whatever time we do have, together.”
Loki raised an eyebrow as he looked over your face and Mobius’, “Is that, smart?”
“It may be the only time we get, before anyone discovers what we know,” Mobius said with a nod of his head.
“We’re a bad influence on you,” Loki teased.
“Speak for yourself,” you replied and pinched Loki’s arm.
You suddenly noticed his arm was bleeding, a rip in his shirt dried with blood.
“Oh my god,” you said, investigating it further, “We have to get you patched up. Let’s go back to my apartment.”
Loki winked at you, “There are easier ways to get me back to your bed, darling.”
“We do need to clean that up before we even think about what you’re thinking,” Mobius said, leading both of you by the hand towards your apartment.
You giggled as the three of you snaked through the TVA, hands linked together. You knew something seriously fucked up was going on, something huge, bigger than you could have ever prepared for, but you couldn’t make yourself care. You finally felt like you were put back together. You no longer longed, pined, nor wondered. It was like you were whole again, and the sensation was intoxicating.
They let go of your hands when you arrived at your apartment so you could unlock the door. As you fumbled with your keys you felt Mobius push up against you as Loki bent his head into the crook of your neck to nip at the exposed flesh above your shirt collar. It took you longer to find the right key and slip it into the lock than it normally would thanks to the distraction.
You managed it though and you stumbled into your apartment, your two guys falling in behind you. You led Loki to a chair at your meager kitchen table and pushed him to sit down.
“You’ll need to take your shirt off,” you instructed after taking another peak at his injury.
“By myself?” He asked and your heart fluttered.
“I have to get the first aid kit,” you said, disappointment clear in your voice.
“I’ll help you,” Mobius said, voice hungry as he leaned over Loki with his hands reaching to his tie and making quick work of the knot.
You rummaged through your small bathroom and located the first aid kit. While you were there, you swirled some mouthwash and applied some extra deodorant. When you got up this morning you hadn’t exactly been planning on reuniting the polyamours relationship that had been wiped from your memory.
When you returned to the kitchen you discovered that Mobius had already removed Loki’s shirt and he’d taken a kitchen towel and was gently wiping away the dried blood around Loki’s injury. You paused to admire the scene - Mobius’ serious face looking over Loki’s half-naked and slightly sweaty body.
You suddenly realized that whatever happened after tonight, there was probably no way the three of you were going to make it out of this crisis alive and together.
Then Mobius turned to look at you and suddenly reality didn’t matter, nothing outside of this apartment with these two who you loved mattered at all. Loki’s gaze landed on you too, and it’s what finally got your feet moving again.
You dropped to Loki’s side and you patched up his wound. You pressed an antiseptic pad to the wound and he flinched.
“Aren’t you a god?” you teased as you gripped his arm tightly in your hand, “Hold still.”
“Still hurts,” he whined.
“What happened anyway?” you asked.
“Does it matter right now?” He replied with a sigh.
“It happened while you were shattering space and time?” Mobius posed.
Loki chuckled, “Something like that.”
You finished patching Loki up, trying not to be distracted by the fact that he was very shirtless, and smelled incredibly intoxicating.
“Good as new,” he proclaimed, flexing his arm as you squirmed, the heat growing in your core.
“Finally,” Mobius groaned as he dragged Loki to his feet before he then dragged you to your feet as well.
Mobius dragged Loki behind him as he pushed you up against the wall of your kitchen, knocking a gasp from deep in your chest. He pushed a knee between your legs and pushed them open with it as he kissed you. His hands jumped to the buttons of your shirt and expertly undid them at a record pace.
Your eyes were closed as you ran your fingers through his short, soft, grey hair. You pushed your lips firmly back against his, moaning into the kiss.
You felt Loki press into Mobius’ back, the pressure doubling against you as you pushed your tongue into Mobius’ mouth. You felt Loki’s hands caress your breasts through your shirt so you pushed into his gentle hands and you felt Mobius smile through the kiss.
Loki pulled Mobius' chest back from yours so he could make quick work of his shirt and tie. You reached out to palm Loki’s erection through his pants as you traced your tongue down Mobius’ throat who dropped his head to Loki’s bare shoulder.
You lifted your head, panting and grabbed both of your loves by their belts and took a breath to pause and admire the sight in front of you.
“I think we have a problem,” Mobius said, his eyes twinkling.
You cocked your head, confused - to you everything seemed absolutely perfect.
“You’re still wearing far too many clothes, darling,” Loki answered with a wink.
You licked your lips as they descended on you, ripping open your blouse and removing your bra tossing them to the floor carelessly. They each took one of your breasts in their mouths as you ran your fingers through their hair.
Mobius trailed his lips down your sternum towards the soft skin of your belly before he trailed his tongue across the waistline of your pants. Loki kissed you firmly on the lips, his breath fresh as it mixed with yours, a frostiness to his taste that wasn’t exactly cold, but sent a shiver through your body anyway.
Mobius made quick work undoing your pants and slipping them down your legs as he settled on his knees. When your legs were free, he lifted one leg up over his shoulder and brushed your clit through your panties with his nose.
You gasped into Loki’s mouth which pulled a chuckle from deep in his throat.
“You’re so wet for us already, sweetheart,” Mobius crooned.
You could feel his hot breath through your soaked panties and your legs trembled. Loki slipped his hand to the waistline of your panties and traced along the elastic there, brushing past Mobius’ face at the same time.
Loki gripped Mobius’ chin between his fingers and pulled him up to standing as you sighed, disappointed at the loss of Mobius between your legs.
Loki picked you up and instinctively you wrapped your legs around his waist. He carried you, effortlessly, as he kissed Mobius, pushing him into your bedroom. Loki paused and looked around with a laugh at the messy state of the room.
“You weren’t expecting company, I take it,” he teased you.
You licked your lips as he set you down on the ground and you looked around the mess sheepishly.
“Until a moment ago, I didn’t think anyone wanted to stop by,” you admitted as you tried to undo both Mobius’ and Loki’s belts at the same time.
They took pity on you and stripped their own pants and briefs off, allowing you the luxury of just watching instead of trying to choose who to start with as you rubbed your thighs together, craving friction.
Mobius lunged at you, ripping your panties off wildly as he kissed you and pushed you back on your bed.
“I always wanted you, even when I forget I already had you once,” Mobius admitted, his moustache and breath tickling the skin along your jaw and over your lips.
Mobius crawled down your body, tasting you as he went. You turned your head to watch Loki stroke himself as he watched Mobius rediscover your body. Mobius brushed his moustache across the sensitive skin of your inner thigh as you reached out towards Loki with one hand and ran your fingers through Mobius’ short hair.
You pulled Loki’s thick cock down your whining throat as Mobius pushed his nose roughly against your clit as his tongue slipped inside you. You sucked Loki hard and deep in your mouth, spit drooling down your chin but you didn’t care about the sloppiness and based on the sounds he was making, neither did he.
Mobius seemed at war with himself, eager to devour you, but wanting to draw out your orgasm, deny you your release until he was good and ready. But when you hooked your leg around the back of his neck and squeezed gently, his patience and resolve shattered. He sucked your clit and pulled your first orgasm through your body.
It shot through you as your vision went spotted and you gagged deliciously on Loki’s cock, taking him even deeper thanks to your shuddering climax. This dropped his hand to your head as he relished in the feeling.
Mobius, his moustache wet and dripping from you, trailed across your inner thigh and up to your stomach. You released Loki’s cock with a tantalizing pop.
“That was-“ you panted.
“Amazing,” Loki finished for you.
You just nodded, your knees shaking.
“Now, be a good girl, bend over and take Loki’s cock,” Mobius instructed you as he took Loki’s hand and pulled him towards the end of the bed and lined him up between your legs.
Loki flipped you over to your stomach and dragged you up to your knees as he ran his tongue up your back. Then he kissed Mobius before he pushed him towards your head. Mobius sprawled out beneath you so you licked a wet strip up his cock before taking his balls in your mouth and rolling them with your tongue.
You let out a gasp and released Mobius’ balls as Loki pressed the head of his thick, leaking cock at your entrance; still sensitive from your recent orgasm. He dragged his cock through your slick folds before he pulled back.
“Do you want me to fuck you?” Loki asked.
“Please,” you whined, pushing your ass back against his crotch.
“Take care of Mobius, will you, darling. Then if I think you’ve been good enough, I’ll slip inside you, nice and deep,” Loki purred as he pushed down on your back to guide you towards Mobius’ long, thick cock.
You didn’t need to be told twice. You pulled Mobius down your throat until your jaw ached and you gagged.
“That’s our good girl,” Mobius said, his pupils blown wide as he watched you take him in your mouth. Then you watched as his gaze turned up to meet Loki’s.
“Can I fuck her now?” Loki asked, and you noticed a desperate tremble in his voice that shot to your core as you felt just how wet and desperate you were for him to do so.
You swirled your tongue around the head of Mobius’ penis just like you knew he loved, hoping to persuade him to say yes.
Then he did.
“Yes, you can fuck her,” Mobius answered, his lips formed a pouty smile as Loki pushed into you, filling your needy cunt completly and rocking you forward so you drooled all over Mobius’ now leaking cock. The taste of his precum filling your mouth as Loki filled your pussy.
You used the momentum Loki created by rocking his hips into you in order to take Mobius deeper down your throat. He was so deep now, your eyes were watering. Mobius' hand snaked around the back of your head as he helped you keep your pace.
You snuck a peak up through your lashes to watch Mobius watch Loki fuck you as you felt him slap into your ass and pump deeper and deeper inside you.
“You’re much too far away, Mobius my love,” Loki teased.
Then Loki slowed his pace and slipped a finger inside you alongside his own cock, stretching you out even farther. You gasped, dragging a line of spit from the tip of Mobius’ cock to your bottom lip.
“I see where you’re going with this,” you said, your mouth watering.
Mobius pushed you up to your knees and helped Loki get into position behind you with his chest pressed against your sweaty back.
Mobius slipped two fingers inside your stuffed pussy, and you felt his fingers brush your clenching walls and Loki’s throbbing cock.
You wrapped your arms around Mobius’ neck and dragged him into a kiss before you dropped your head to Loki’s shoulder. Over your shoulder, Loki leaned into Mobius’ pouting lips as you lined up Mobius cock, still slick with your spit and his precum, at your already full entrance. Mobius pressed his body against yours, deepening his kiss with Loki while you could feel his heart racing in his chest against your own heaving breasts.
Mobius eased his cock inside you, pressing against Loki’s cock, completely filling you as you took both their cocks like the good girl you promised you’d be.
Tears of blissful joy got lost in your eyelashes as you moaned desperately at the feeling of being completely stuffed and stretched out by the two men you loved. Mobius broke his kiss with Loki to swallow your gasp between his lips, his thumb pressing against your clit until all you saw was black.
Loki’s hands trailed up your waist and up to your breasts, gently twisting your nipples between his fingers as Mobius pushed his tongue into your mouth filling you there as well.
Your legs were trembling, but that was fine. Mobius’ chest was pressed up against yours, pushing your back into Loki’s chest, sandwiching you between them as they slowly rubbed their cocks against each other as they pumped into you slowly.
You were blinded by pleasure and you lost all sense of your body, only registering pure bliss as you felt yourself climbing towards your next orgasm.
“I’m gonna - fuck - I’m gonna cum,” you cried, whinning.
“Soak our cocks, darling,” Loki purred in your ear.
“Then we’ll use you until we’re finished,” Mobius promised before he bit your lower lip sharply.
You lost yourself completely then, shuddering through an orgasm that ripped through your core and had you scratching Mobius’ back and pressing against Loki’s chest, arching your back.
You felt your walls flutter around the two cocks inside you. Loki dragged your lips to his own as he thrust up into you, threatening to tear you in half. He panted desperately into your mouth as you felt his cock twitch as he shuddered out an orgasm of his own.
Mobius thrust up then, knocking you hard into Loki’s chest, the sound of his thrusts squelching thanks to the combined mess of you and Loki. He fucked you hard and you heard Loki’s breath stuttering as Mobius’ rubbed against his still sensitive cock inside you.
Mobius kissed Loki as you felt him cum inside you, painting your walls with his cum, mixing with your combined juices. He thrust through his orgasm with a guttural groan, the salacious sound of your combined juices mixing together inside you, leaking down your wobbling inner thighs.
Mobius pulled out of you, slowly, kissing down your jaw to your throat. He nipped at your pulse point as he helped pull you off Loki’s cock and fall into his arms back on the bed. You were on your back when Loki pushed your knees wide so he could watch the slick slip between your folds and out your still fluttering, thoroughly destroyed pussy. Loki rubbed one hand up Mobius’ calf, and the other up your calf as he enjoyed the view.
When all three of you had finally gotten your breathing under control, Loki crawled up to lay beside you. Mobius rolled you over gently into Loki’s arms and he rolled out of bed.
“Don’t worry, I’m coming back,” Mobius said in response to both you and Loki’s groans of protest.
Mobius returned with a bottle of water and a damp cloth. He took his time cleaning you up as Loki stroked your hair, kissed your temple and helped you drink from the bottle. When Mobius was satisfied with his work, he tossed the dirty cloth into your laundry basket and crawled back into bed with you and Loki.
“I love you,” you said, before you yawned, “I love you both so much.”
“I love you both too,” Mobius replied, pulling you both in closer.
Loki was quiet as he buried his face in your back.
“You okay back there?” you asked him.
“I thought I’d lost you both,” he said, and you felt his tears fall against your back.
“You couldn’t possibly,” Mobius promised.
“We’re in this together,” you vowed.
“For all time,” Mobius said.
“Always,” Loki finished.
Then the three of you fell asleep, a tangle of limbs and sleepy kisses. Whatever chaos and trouble was to come could wait for you all to enjoy this little moment of peace.

Words: 3622 Ler Loki X Lee Reader (with a hint of Ler Mobius😉)
The Cheeky Agent
The TVA was the only home you knew. You couldn’t remember a life before working as a Hunter, (Hunter B-20 to be exact). To be honest, you couldn’t recall any childhood memories or even remember seeing a child in the TVA for that matter. Sometimes you wondered about your childhood and parents, and what you were like before the TVA. But your work kept you busy enough that you didn’t have a lot of time to ponder your existence. You had a very important role. Your job was to hunt down and destroy all rogue timelines that were created by variants of people. You followed all the rules and ensured the sacred timeline was maintained to the best of your ability.
Although you trusted your job and coworkers, there was always a deep-rooted worry that sat in the back of your mind. You hadn’t told anyone of your doubts since you had no evidence supporting any wrongdoing by the TVA. Yes, you were curious about your previous life but succumbed to the fact that you were probably mind-wiped for a reason and it made you a better agent.
Your all-time favorite part of working for the TVA was the time-traveling. Every day you were sent off to new worlds, timelines, or planets. Each one was so unique and special that you even created a scrapbook filled with the colorful pictures and interesting habitats of these new worlds. You kept your secret scrapbook hidden under your pillow and on those hard days where you had to arrest a child or someone whole heartily good, you would relive the good moments that reminded you of the reason why you showed up to work every day.
Technically to do this, you had broken one TVA law and stole a Polaroid camera from a house you were set to destroy. You were just about to escape through your portal when you noticed a strange-looking object on the table. You snuck it into your bag and brought it home for further examination. Once seeing what it could do, you made it a tradition to snap a photo of every timeline you traveled to with your best friend in it. (Eventually, you learned this was called a selfie). The only other person who knew about this obsession of yours was Mobius because he was the one in every picture.
Mobius was your coworker and of course best friend. He also had an obsession with collecting items from variant timelines so you knew he would never tell on you to the timekeepers. He too enjoyed going through your scrapbook after work hours especially after a mission went wrong. It was a calming way to bond with each other. Besides, he was the only person you trusted wholeheartedly. That was until you met Loki.
Mobius sure put your trust to the test when one day you received an email to meet him in one of the interrogation rooms. This piqued your interest because you had just closed another variant timeline and last you had been told, no new case had been assigned to your team yet.
Shrugging, you casually jumped into your normal work routine and headed off to find Mobius. You nearly leaped from your skin when you walked into the interrogation room expecting to only see your dear friend.
As you opened the door, you instead were face to face with a tall, dark-haired man who was dressed in some fairly odd clothing. He had scratches on his face and a very sly smirk as he stared you down. You watched his eyes flit from your head to your feet as he not so subtly checked you out.
You abruptly turned around and pretended to fiddle with the lock on the door as you attempted to hide the blush that crept onto your face. He was incredibly handsome and had a very alluring aura around him. This man was not a TVA agent and so you gave Mobius your famous “WTF” look when he motioned for you to sit at the table.
You slowly made your way over to the table and subconsciously put your hand on your weapon like you do every time you were on a mission, put on your most intimidating face, and sat down across from the now grinning man.
“Don’t worry darling, you don’t scare me” the man said cunningly as he gestured his eyes to your hand resting on your taser. Without missing a beat you spat out “Fear has nothing to do with skill, variant.” The man chuckled and rose an eyebrow.
“Feisty this one is Mobius. Are you sure you want us to be teammates?” You immediately whipped your head to face Mobius upon hearing this. What did he mean by teammates???
Before you could spit something nasty out of your mouth, Mobius grabbed your hand and walked you to the far side of the room out of earshot from the mystery man.
“Y/n, look I was going to tell you, I just didn’t know how. This man is named Loki. He’s an Asgardian God of Mischief and we need his help capturing his variant self who is killing our hunters. I didn’t want it to be like this, but it’s the only way”.
You nodded in agreement as Mobius spoke. So this was the infamous Loki they had been searching for. Mobius had binders full of information about tricksters and you had pulled many all-nighters searching for clues on how to catch one. Multiple hunting teams had gone missing recently and it was time to find the criminal and prune them for good. You had lost lots of good friends and were willing to try just about anything at this point to avenge them. Especially if it meant working with this attractive stranger.
You followed Mobius back to the table and began discussing the logistics of your next mission. This sparked your new friendship with Loki and of course your new attraction to him.
A few weeks after his arrival, you began to be more open about your personal life. The three of you spent good chunks of time together as you madly researched anything you could that might help you put a stop to this variant. Loki began referring to you as “The cheeky agent” because you were quick-witted and usually beat him to the punchline.
You were also very bubbly and showed your affection by teasing your teammates and pulling pranks on them. Now, Mobius knew everything about you since he had known you for so long. He knew your hopes, dreams, weaknesses, fears, and of course your love interests. Although you had substantially opened up to Loki, you still didn’t tell him nearly the same things you told Mobius. The thought of him knowing that your flirting meant something sent shivers down your spine. And that’s why what happened one day in the library still brings shivers to you every time you think about it.
Your little secret had almost been revealed to Loki, but thankfully Mobius ceased his questioning at the right moment. Well kinda.
It had been a late-night full of studying. The three of you were at wit's end and Loki volunteered to make a fresh pot of coffee to help keep you all sane. You jokingly poked fun at Loki’s coffee-making abilities which resulted in him threatening to bring you nothing in return. You giggled slightly to yourself as Loki exited the room, a blush still faint on your cheeks.
You felt hairs on your neck prickle as if you were being watched so you looked up and locked eyes with Mobius who was giving you his biggest “I know you like him” smile.
“Oh shut up Mobius and stop looking at me like that”. You said playfully as you smacked him on the arm.
“Come on Y/n. I know you like him. Do the world a favor and ask him out!” Mobius playfully shoved you back.
“Pfft, you don’t know any Mobius. Now get back to researching”.
Mobius sighed and grabbed another folder and you silently thanked the timekeepers that you had successfully dodged his questioning. After a few moments of silence, you heard a folder drop loudly on the floor. You looked up to see Mobius grinning at you again. Great.
“You know what Y/n. No. I’m not gonna drop this. Not tonight. Admit you have feelings for Loki and I’ll leave you alone. I promise I won’t spill your secret.” With a wink, Mobius scooted closer to you.
“I already told you Mobius, there’s nothing to say! I don’t know what you're talking about”.
He signed. “Well fine B-20, I didn’t want to do this out you leave me no choice”.
Confused, you looked up just in time as Mobius launched himself toward you successfully pinning you to the ground.
“What the hell Mobius? Get your fat butt off me!” you said while laughing.
“First of all, rude. Second, no. Not until you tell me about your little crush. Last chance or else”.
Now you were feeling especially sassy since it was 1 am, you didn’t have any coffee, and your best friend was sitting on you.
“I have nothing to say to you, Mobius”.
Mobius made a tsk tsk tsk sound as he repositioned himself further back on your thighs.
“You leave me no choice. I guess I’ll just have to tickle it out of you. And if I were you, I would spill the beans quickly. What a shame it would be if our new friend found out about this special weakness you have.”
You gulped. Mobius had you cornered. You really didn’t want to tell him but you also didn’t want Loki to find out you were ticklish either. You would be completely and utterly screwed if the both of them decided to team up.
“You wouldn’t dare Mobius. I will kill you—“
You were cut off by ticklish sensations filling up your stomach. Mobius must have been bored and started poking and prodding your belly. Unfortunately for you, Mobius knew you're every week spot and would get you talking in a few moments if he so pleased. The fact that he chose your belly first, signified that he wanted to tease you, not make you talk.
“Y-you bastard Mobius! If y-your gonna torture me get it over wITH.” Your sentence ended with a slight squeak as Mobius poked your belly button.
“I don’t think I will. I’m giving you a choice Y/n. Admit you like him or risk having your weakness exposed to the God of Mischief.”
Mobius then dug in and was rapidly squeezing up and down your sides and spidering his fingertips lightly over your rib cage. Now you were giggling madly with your feet thumping on the floor trying to desperately stop the maddening sensations. Mobius was too skilled for his good because when he hooked his fingers underneath your lower ribs to a small patch of skin on your back and wiggled them profusely, you went crazy. You were a helpless shrieking mess now and you didn’t know how much more you could handle before breaking.
Meanwhile, a certain dark-haired Asgardian was making his way back to the library with 3 cups of coffee ready to drink. Loki rounded down the hallway when he heard laughter seeping down the hall.
Confused, he slowed his footsteps and snuck into the back door of the library to get a better look. Loki placed the coffee cups on a nearby table as he covered his mouth to suppress his laughter at the scene in front of him. You were red in the face laughing a deep belly laugh as Mobius was tickling the shit out of your feet. He watched as Mobius let go of your flailing legs and started methodically pinching your hips. This sent you into hysterics and you pounded your hand to the ground signaling defeat. Mobius let up and you said “You win you win! I admit it!! Just please stop tickling me”!
Loki decided this was his time to make his presence known. Grabbing the coffees he walked into the room faining surprised.
“Admit what you cheeky thing? The fact that you are too ticklish for your own good?”
You immediately scrambled into a sitting position and glared at Mobius.
Before you could speak, Mobius spoke.
“Hey, Loki! Y/N was dozing off over here so I decided to wake her up. Thank goodness you brought some coffee.” You could tell Loki didn’t completely buy this story, but he handed out the coffees and sat back down next to you, and grabbed a binder. You took a sip of coffee and made a disgusted face at the bitterness and soon felt a poke to your side. Sputtering in surprise, you looked to see the culprit was Loki.
“I saw that look agent. I would be grateful if I were you. Or I may just have to tickle you some more”.
You felt your cheeks heat up again and you quickly grabbed another folder to start reading.
Mobius sent you both off to bed around 3 am and Loki didn’t say anything else about his findings. That was until a few weeks later.
The library incident had been long forgotten at this point. Mobius and Loki had kept the tickling to a minimum, just giving you little pokes here and there if you were being too sassy. You still hadn’t admired your feelings for Loki, but you felt as if they were mutual judging by the actions Loki gave back.
You three had finally found the variant. She was hiding out at a weird grocery store set in a doomsday time period. You thought it was an odd hiding spot, but Loki assured you it was a definite Loki thing to do. The plan was to send Loki is as a distraction, and have you and Mobius sneak around back to prune her. You had ensured to get to bed at a decent time so you would be prepared for the busy day.
The following morning you were rudely awakened by someone harshly shaking you awake. The lights were then turned on and you covered your face as your eyes tried to adjust to the blinding light. Once they were focused you realized it was Loki standing by your bed.
“Where. Is. It” Loki huffed. Confused you rubbed your eyes and pinched your arms to make sure this wasn’t a dream.
“wha-what are you talking about? It’s 5 in the morning Loki. I’ll help you find whatever it is your missing in a couple of hours.” You groaned out.
“I know you stole it you conniving little thief. Tell me where it is and I’ll let you go back to sleep.” You knew Loki well enough at this point that he wasn’t mad, but he was definitely on a mission to find whatever thing he had lost and he wasn’t gonna stop until he found it.
“Okay. Fine, I’ll try my best. What is it your missing?” You said trying to reason with the God.
“Don’t try and play dumb. I know you stole my TVA jacket. I need it for this mission”.
Then your memory kicked in. You and Loki had been in a prank battle recently and you had stolen his jacket a few days ago. Honestly, you were surprised it took him so long to realize it was missing. But now you were screwed because you had hidden it in Möbius’s room. And no one had ever dared wake him.
“Ohhhh. Ugh yeah you see about that. Even if I did tell you where it was, it wouldn’t do you any good. Come back in 3 hours and then we can talk”. You snickered as Loki rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in front of him.
“So it was you! I was only guessing you were the thief, but now that you admitted it, you tell me where it is or else.”
“TeLl mE wHeRe iT iS oR eLsE” you mocked back. Who did Loki think he was!? Walking into your room and waking you up to help find his jacket after he was the one who started the pranks!
You chuckled even louder when Loki glared at you for mocking him. Not your fault he made it easy. “You have no idea who you messed with you cheeky thing. Final warning. Tell me it’s location or else”.
You signed and decided to tell him before you dug a deeper home for yourself.
“Fine. It’s in Möbius’s room. But you won’t be able to get it until he wakes up. So go back to bed and leave me alone!”
You laid your head back down on your pillow and attempted to pull the covers back over yourself. Except you couldn’t because Loki was leaning on your bed preventing you from getting comfortable.
“Ah, I see. Yes, brilliant hiding spot. I guess I’ll just have to keep myself occupied until he wakes up. Plenty of time for me to find all your tickle spots.”
You froze when he uttered those words. Loki took this opportunity to jump onto the bed and straddle your hips.
“Next time, think twice about messing with a God dear. Especially when messing with our clothing. Now, where shall I begin?” Loki pondered out loud as you tried to throw him off of you. Loki had caught you off guard and still mostly under your blankets. Your legs were trapped under the comforter preventing you from kicking your legs. Loki also decided to plant himself on your upper thighs which prevented you from sitting upright.
You battled with Loki as you tried to grab his wrists. He only rolled his eyes and started to poke your sides causing you to spazz. Distracted by the poking and little giggles, you were unaware that Loki had grabbed both your hands with one of his and had managed to pin them under his knees.
He didn’t let up on the poking and prodding though. You were giggling madly now as he was poking his way up your ribs to right below your armpits. As his fingers brushed against the area between your armpit and upper ribs you shook your head violently and shut your eyes waiting for the inevitable. But it didn’t come.
“Please just get it over with! I hate being teased! Have you been taking notes from Mobius?” You said with your eyes still shut.
You waited a couple of moments for a response but got nothing.
Carefully you opened your eyes to see what was going on. Big mistake. Lokis's face was mere inches from you and he was giving you a big toothy grin as your eyes widened in shock.
“Mobius has taught me a thing or two yes. Like where your worst spots are. But most importantly, I just want to see you squirm, dear heart”. And with these words, he instead dug into your hipbones which immediately sent you into hysterics. They weren’t your worst spot, but hip tickles also sent you straight into deep belly laughter. You had finally managed to kick your blankets off of you, but even the drumming of your legs on the bed did nothing to dislodge Loki and his evil fingers.
Loki stopped once you were red in the face.
“Well, this is rather fun. I think you have learned your lesson about stealing my jacket yes?” Loki looked to you quizzically as you nodded frantically, still huffing in the air.
“Good! Now that that is settled. How about we move to phase 2”
“Wh-what are you talking about Loki? I didn’t steal anything I swear”. You attempted to sit up, but Loki pushed you back down gently.
“You know I’ve been pondering about that night in the library. From what I could see you weren’t tired. So tell me,” Loki leaned in dangerously close to your face to where your noses were almost touching “What did Mobius make you admit?”
Loki then positioned his hands with one smack dab in the middle of your stomach and the other on your upper ribs.
“ I admitted to him that was in fact TIRED,” you said to him as if he were a child.
With a growl, Loki dove into your worst spots. Damn Mobius for spilling your secrets.
Loki’s fingers were meticulously tearing your nerves apart within seconds. And Loki didn’t give you any mercy as you begged, pleaded, shook, and cried tears of mirth as he left you a wriggling mess of shrieks and giggles.
“OKKAAHAHAY OKAYYYY I AHAHA WILL TALAHAAHHH—“ you couldn’t even form words as Loki continued on. After a few more seconds of you laughing your head off, Loki stopped and helped you sit up.
“ Loki, promise you won’t make fun of me,” you said and Loki put his hands up in mock surrender, nodding for you to continue.
“ Mobius guessed that I like you, and and well, he is right. I started catching feelings for you soon after you joined the team and I have been so nervous to tell you I ah—-“ You were cut off when the attractive trickster dove in for a long passionate kiss.
“I know you cheeky thing. You are a terrible liar. Did you really think I didn’t see right through your outer shell?”
You giggled and rested your head on his shoulder.
“Well, now that that’s established and you’ve tickled me silly, how about after we catch your variant self you take me out on a date?”
Loki kissed your forehead and stood up now facing you.
“As long as I get my jacket back, I think that can be arranged”.

“So, what now? Do we just dįe?” You questioned when another meteorite came blowing down towards your direction. The three of you had to get out of the way as quickly as possible.
Sylvie pulled you to the side and Loki moved to the other, the meteorite fell right in the space you’d left.
The three of you walked away from the city and sat on a small bundle of rocks, where you could see the apocalypse better, and well, also where there were not as many rocks falling down on the three of you.
You breathed in deeply “well, this is fun.”
“We’re about to die,” Sylvie acknowledged.
“I mean I was gonna die a couple of days ago anyway, my plan just, sort of… took longer, I guess.”
“I thought you didn’t wanna die anymore,” added Loki.
“I don’t, but I don’t really see a way out of this one…”
Loki looked down. And then up with new energy, Sylvie stopped him before even opening his mouth “don’t give us a pep talk… at this point, I’m starting to think that what makes Loki a Loki is that we always lose.”
So that’s where we are going, into the black hole of self-pity, you thought, the three of us have a lot to moan about.
“No, we don’t! Just look at you,” he said addressing Sylvie, “No. We may lose. Sometimes painfully. But we don’t die. We survive. I mean, you did. You were just a child when the TVA took you, but you nearly took down the organization that claims to govern the order of time. You did it on your own. You ran rings around them. You’re amazing!”
He then turned towards you  then “And you, you were literally about to die on earth and then you go got a job at an Inter-dimensional agency. And then escaped from them, and survived, by keeping up with the mischief of two gods, I mean, you literally threw yourself off a train!”
“I kinda had to.”
“It’s still pretty amazing for a… Midgardian,” added Sylvie.
“Well that’s… definitely an improvement from Mortal,” You smiled.
“The universe wants to break free, so it manifests chaos,” said Sylvie she motioned to the sky.
You looked up, the planet was falling into pieces, all of them ready to crash onto the moon. It was distractingly beautiful.
“How much longer?” Asked Loki.
“Not much,”  she responded.
“I’m I love with it,” you said, accidentally out loud.
“What?” Asked Loki with a frown.
“Chaos,” you responded still looking at the end of the world “it’s beautiful.” You took a deep breath and reached for their hands. As you held tightly to them you smiled, “We’ll be alright.”
Suddenly two time doors opened through the side and a bunch of TVA agents got in through them. You quickly released their hands and ran to the agents, acting distressed.
“Finally, you’ve come to get me! They’ve dragged me around like a hostage through apocalypses and weird take over plans, they even used me as bait, TWICE. I thought I wouldn’t make out of here alive!”
Loki and Sylvie exchanged a look and turned to you confused.
“Please take me back!” You pleaded before an agent put a collar around your neck again. “Drop the act, Variant, we know you were working with the Lokis”
You looked to the side and bit your cheek. Turned back with a completely different attitude “You can’t blame me for trying,” you shrugged. Loki and Sylvie were staring at you, each with a proud look on their faces. Maybe their Loki-ness was rubbing off on you.
By now they both had collars as well and were being dragged by the TVA agents. Neither of them spoke a word as the three of you got separated. Sylvie with the most guards and you with the least. Perfect, you thought, I can find a way to get us out of here sooner if they underestimate me.
Mobius left with Loki and you were dragged onto a room. The doors were completely closed. And even if you tried to open them, you knew there was at least one agent outside. So you sat near the wall, facing the door, and started closing your eyes, going through all the possible things you needed to do to get everyone out. You knew you needed to get a TemPad, that was the most important part of them plan, after that, you had to find Loki and Sylvie, they had to be together, which was the toughest part since the TVA wouldn’t want them to scheme things by themselves… and then, scape. Three simple steps. All you had to do was make them happen, by then you heard the door opening. Mobius came into the room and sat at the small table, motioning for you to join as well. You stood up and sat across from him.
“How long had you been working for them?”
“The Lokis?” You asked.
He gave you a stern look in reply.
“I haven’t been working with them, I just didn’t want to be pruned.”
“And you expect me to believe that?”
“You can choose to believe whatever you want, you already do it anyway,” you shrugged reclining on your chair.
“What do you mean?”
“The TVA is lying to you, Mobius.”
“Did Loki put you up to this?” He asked almost concerned. “You must not worry about him anymore. He’s gone, you won’t be able to get out of here.”
You now got closer to him, with both of your arms on the table looking straight into his eyes. “Loki’s not gone.” You concluded, “if he was, you wouldn’t worry about questioning me, after all, I’m just a pawn, am I not? To everyone, the Lokis, the TVA, the people back in the sacred timeline, I’m only here to fit your narrative, whatever that may be,” you acknowledged spitefully. “But you, Mobius, you want to find the truth, and you should be questioning your dear Time Keepers for it, not us.”
“They’ve filled your mind with nonsense,” he replied.
“It’s easier to think that way than to accept the truth.”
“I’ll take you to a place where you can clear your thoughts.”
“What?” You asked confused “what do you mean by that?”
“You’ll see.”
“Mobius, are they gonna wipe my memories?”
“We can’t do that here.”
“No! NO! Don’t take me there!” You said starting to worry.
“Boys, take her away,” said Mobius as two armed men dragged you into a time window, but this time, the edges were purple.
Mobius walked towards Loki’s room, and then towards the TimeCell, he’d been placed in “Okay, Loki. You ready to talk?”
Loki didn’t reply but Mobius motioned for him to follow him, the two of them walked out of the TimeCell and into the interrogation room.
“Fancy technology. Threatening interrogation tactics.”
“Seems you and I are in a loop of our own,” replied Mobius. “Well, there’s been a lot of water under the bridge since then.”
“Certainly has.” Loki agreed. The two of them were sitting down by then.
“Okay, you said the TVA is lying to me. Go ahead.” Mobius motioned Loli to speak “Or is that just a cockroach’s survival mechanism kicking in?”
Loki ignored the question. “Let me out of this place, stop beating me up, and I’ll tell you.”
“Cockroach. Got it.” Added Mobius “How long have you been working for the Variant?”
“Me? Working for her? Please.” Loki scoffed.
“If you’re not working for the Variant, what is it? You’re partners?”
“Absolutely not. She’s difficult and irritating, and she tries to hit me all the time. No. Not partners, no.”
“Yeah, I guess you don’t do partners,” Mobius added condescendingly.  “Unless, of course, it benefits you, and you intend to betray them at some point.”
“It was a means to an end, Mobius. Welcome to the real world. Down there, we’re awful to get what we want.”
“Now I gotta have a prince tell me how the real world works? Why don’t you just tell me what caused the nexus event on Lamentis?”
“Let me say this again. I’m not going to tell you just so you can turn around immediately afterwards and prune me.”
“I guess we’ve reached a dead end then. Okay, it’s over. I’m going to miss these little tete-a-tetes.”
“Me, too,” Agreed Loki.
“One guy playing checkers, you, old Mobius playing chess, but, yeah, give my regards to Lady Sif,” said Mobius as he started standing up.
“What… No. What? No, no, no. Please, not… Well, just wait, wait, wait.” Loki panicked a bit.
“Yeah?” He said sitting back again.
“Of course it was me pulling the strings all along. She came to me on Asgard a long time ago and then she took me to one of her apocalypses and that’s where we hatched our plan together.”
“Which is?” Motioned Mobius for Loki to elaborate.
“Coming along very nicely, thank you,” Loki added.
“And the Variants?”
“They don’t matter. They’re pawns. Something very, very big is gonna happen. And when it does, I’ll dispose of them.”
“Well, we saved you the trouble for one there. (Y/N)’s already been pruned. So assume I do set you free—“
“—Hang on, wait. What’d you just say?”
“What? Assume I do set you free.”
“(Y/N). She’s gone?”
“Yeah. Not before she bit one of ours. Yeah, she was going to her TimeCell, broke free. Hunter B-15 stepped in, (Y/N) bit her, and she popped her. So you might want to fire off a thank you note to Hunter B-15, because it looks like you have one less loose end to worry about. Good riddance.”
“What about Sylvie?”
“Who?”
“My variant. That’s her name”
“Ah, Sylvie. Lovely. How do you spell that? Is that with an I-E or just an I?”
Loki gave him a stern look, he seemed pissed.
“She’s waiting for trial.”
“And (Y/N)? Was she really pruned?” He asked bitterly.
“Look at you. You liked her,” Mobius mocked.
Loki scoffed. “As if! A God and a mortal?!? As if I was stupid enough to fall in love with someone that’s going to die soon just like my brother did.”
“The two of you liked her!” Mobius added then “that’s why you kept her all along your journey, she was probably just making you lag, but neither of you got rid of her… You could have left her somewhere in Lamentis, and yet she’s here.”
“She’s here?” Asked Loki catching that last part.
“Look at you all hopeful, you really do like her.”
“Mobius, stop with the games. Is she alive?”
“She is, and she’ll be better off once we help her get all your bad influence of her system.”
“You’re going to errase her memories…”
“Why does everybody assume we do that here? No! She’ll just be taken to the machine that helps process your thoughts. Every agent goes through it every once in a while. Even I have.”
Loki leaned in closer “and you haven’t noticed?”
“Notice what Loki? This isn’t some sort of conspiracy theory you can manipulate me into believing.”
“Mobius, listen. If what Sylvie told me about this place is true, it affects all of us,” Loki tried to explain.
“Here we go. Now, you’ve already told me about 50 lies in the past 10 minutes.”
“I’m not lying.”
“Now, I’m supposed to believe your girl version. The goddess of lies, ring any bells?”
“It’s the truth. You’re all Variants! Everyone who works at the TVA. The Time-Keepers didn’t create you. They kidnapped you from the timeline and erased your memories. Memories she can access through enchantment. So before this, you had a past, maybe you had a family, a life.”
“Nice try. That was good. You two, what a pair!  Dragging poor (Y/N) into all of your mischiefs. Gosh! Unbelievable. Wherever you go, it’s just death, destruction, the literal ends of worlds,” Mobius argued, “Well, I’m gonna have to close this case now, ‘cause I don’t need you anymore. Yeah, or as you might say, our interests are no longer aligned.” He stood up and walked towards the exit.
“You know, of all the liars in this place, and there are a great many, you’re the biggest.”
“Why? 'Cause I lied about your girlfriend?”
“Oh, no. That I can respect. I mean, the lies you tell yourself.”
Mobius took a deep breath and opened the door for another agent to walk in.
“Hello…” said Loki condescendingly “Oh, I don’t know… Your name’s a number. Can’t read it from here.”
The agent ignored his bratty attitude and limited himself to say “Come with me.”
You looked around, the other side of the Time Door they had dragged you through looked, unpleasant to say the least. If anything, it definitely did not look like a place where you could “clear your thoughts”. On the other hand, it did look like a place where you could learn the intense range of emotional torture the TVA had to offer.
“Could I like… Not use that machine?” You said pointing at the big torture-like machine in the center, and it’s not like you wanted to be overly dramatic, but the chair most definitely looked like an electroshock death chair. But even the original one looked way less threatening.
The agents that dragged you there completely ignored your request and started dragging you to the chair. One of them took pity on you smiled sympathetically “Don’t worry too much, Variant. It won’t hurt.”
As you sat down, they gave you a thing to bite as they tied your hands on leashed to stop you from moving. “I thought you said it wouldn’t hurt,” you added before bitting onto the thing.
“It won’t hurt…” said the other agent, “much…” he added then,  almost making fun of you, scratch that, he was definitely making fun of you.
The machine started making weird sounds and after a while, it started vibrating underneath you, that’s when the pain started, you bit into the mouth pice hard. All you had done was try to live, did you really deserve all this pain for it?
After a couple of minutes of excruciating pain, they turned off the machine. You found it hard to catch your breath. Your mind was hazy, very hazy. It was like all your memories and thoughts had scrambled and you struggled to order them. You managed to do so barely.
“That should be enough for a regular human, right?” Asked one of the agents.
“Definitely, she’ll be dumbed out for a while,” agreed the other before taking the straps off. You took the opportunity you saw and grabbed their TemPad. You hid it in between the jacket and the shirt they had provided. As soon as they dragged you out of that hell of a room and you had recovered just enough you ran to the side and opened a Time Door to the first apocalypse you could think of, the dinosaurs.
Looking at it objectively, perhaps it had not been the wisest of choices, especially when you found yourself surrounded by giant running lizards. “Are those? Feathers?” You asked as you saw what you would describe as a giant bird-thing. Archeologists weren’t wrong in that one, you thought.
You did what you could to step out of their way and found a big tree, after carefully climbing up on it, you decided it was time to rest for a moment and plan your next step. Which was crucial since you didn’t have much of a plan, but rather just the idea of a plan.
You breathed in deeply. You had to get Sylvie, and Loki, which meant you had to go back to the TVA, even if that was the last thing you wanted to do. You tried to reassure yourself by thinking they would do the same for you, but then again, would they really?
You weren’t even sure, you even had a mental debate with yourself, a part of you told you to let them be, to not mess with it anymore, to find a nice long apocalypse you could hide in for the rest of your life and just end with the whole adventure. No more escapades trying to save anyone but yourself. After all, that’s how Loki and Sylvie would act right? That’s what they would do, just leave you to get pruned in the TVA while they lived their best life. But then the other part of you –the hopeful one– told you that all of that was a bunch of bullshit, that may be on the exterior that’s what would appear to make sense, and if you had been a stranger, it would have happened exactly like that. But you knew them now, and they knew you as well. You’d even shared a moment, that must have meant something for them, right?
Even after debating about it for hours, the choice was as clear as water to you, no matter how much you tried to be like a Loki, you would still be a (Y/N), and damn those (Y/N)s they had one strong moral compass. Which meant, ultimately, you’d go back to rescue your friends. Even if it meant your very own doom. Which in turn, meant that it was now time to ideate a plan.
Mobius, he was the answer. He seemed rather confused when you talked to him as if the words you said to him had actually resonated somewhere in his brain. If you managed to convince him that the real threat was the TVA, then he would be able to help you find, both Loki and Sylvie. You couldn’t risk too many trips to the TVA, after all, the more times you went there the more danger you’d be setting yourself in, so then you had to get the two of them together, that’s all you would need to escape. That’s when Mobius came along in your plan, he’d help you get the two of them together for your triumphal scape, whether he wanted or not, you hoped he did, threatening Mobius wasn’t on top of the things you wanted to do.
Now all you had to do was figure out a way to get to Mobius alone. You knew he had an office somewhere in the TVA, maybe there was some sort of contact list on the TemPad that could guide you to him. And so you searched for it. There was actually a map of the TVA on it. It had a lot of “confidential” information on it, but Mobius’ office wasn’t one. Which made you so happy you almost screamed, but you remembered you were still in the middle of the jungle where dinosaurs like the T-rex and worse could hear you and you did not want to die before attempting your rescue mission, so you screamed only on the inside.
After gathering enough courage you opened a new TimeDoor and stepped inside. Mobius wasn’t in his office. So you hid behind the desk and waited. It didn’t take too long before he arrived. You showed yourself to him with your armed raised. “I’m only here to talk.”
“Shouldn’t you be on the clear mind room?” He asked.
“Clear mind room? Do you mean the place where they tortured me and almost fried my brains and all my memories together? A warning of how painful it would be would’ve been nice, Mobius.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Big red machine, looked like torture room from saw.”
“That’s not where I sent you to.”
“Whatever. I need to talk to you. I know you don’t want to believe me Mobius, but I’m being honest. The TVA is lying to you. You’re a Variant. All agents are.”
“I need to talk to Loki.” He replied.
“Mobius we don’t have much time.”
“I’ve seen something too. But I need to Loki first.”
“Does that mean you’ll help?” You asked hopefully. He nodded. You smiled “Can you get him and Sylvie together?”
He nodded.
“Great!” You smiled. You had already established a plan. “Go find Loki. I’ll be setting everything up.”
He flashed you a smile and left his office. After a while, you sneaked out as well. Finding your way through the halls until you found the hiding spot you’d be using. And there you waited. But by the time you saw Loki and Sylvie being walked down the hall side by side, you knew something was off. Mobius wasn’t with them, instead, Ravonna was. And not only that, but she also had many agents around her.
You breathed in deeply and grabbed your distraction tactic. You took the tiny dinosaur you had placed in your bag and let it down, blocking the other way so he was forced to run through the halls in front of your friends and distract the guards. “I’m sorry buddy,” you said before letting it go.
The distraction was good enough. The guards seemed to lose their concentration for a bit. Going after and chasing the small dinosaur, not worrying about the variants since they had the awful time necklaces on. You deactivated them with the device Mobius had given you and ran towards them.
“Mobius?” You asked. Loki denied with his head in response. You frowned and took a deep breath. “It’s alright. I’ll get us out,” you whispered as you took out the TemPad and started typing. But seconds, before you clicked enter an agent, got close enough to touch you with their tool. When you realized what was happening a small tear dropped from your eyes. You quickly looked at the two of them and muttered “I’m sorry.” Before completely disappearing.
Loki and Sylvie stared perplexed at the situation, you’d come back, to save them. Knowing the risks and doing it just the same, and you had been pruned in the process. Ravonna had taken the moment to put new necklaces on their neck.
“What a hassle. We should’ve pruned her when we had the time,” she said before continuing her walk, “I’ll take them from here,” she said as she looked at the mess the other agents were in. She dragged both Loki and a Sylvie onto an elevator.
“Are you ok?” Sylvie asked Loki, she knew he’d developed some kind of attachment to you, as she had, but she suspected his was stronger.
Loki nodded. But he wasn’t sure what was that he was feeling either.
“Do you remember me?” Sylvie asked Ravonna.
“I do.” She replied, and barely looked at her “What do you wanna say to me, Variant?”
“What was my nexus event? Why did you bring me in?”
“What does it matter?”
“It was enough to take my life from me, lead to all of this. Must have been important. So, what was it?”
Ravonna seemed to think about it for a second. “I don’t remember.”
When the doors opened she stepped out first. “Gracious Time-Keepers, as promised, the Variants.”
The timekeepers spoke then “After all your struggle, at last, you’ve arrived before us.What do you have to say for yourselves before you meet your end, Variants?”
“Is that the only reason you brought us here? To kill us? I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve been killed, so go ahead. Do your worst.” Replied Loki.
“You and your bravado are no threat to us, Variant.”
“Oh, no, I don’t think you believe that. I think…” Sylvie paused, probably for dramatic effect, “I think you’re scared.”
“No, Variant. You’re nothing but a cosmic disappointment.” The other timekeeper said, “Delete them.”
“No, I’m not done with you yet.”
A fight broke seconds after, Sylvie and Loki discovered the timekeepers were nothing but robots being controlled by someone or something else. And when they were about to continue on their scape, Ravonna pruned Loki from the back. Sylvie acted quickly after and seized her.
…
“Is this Hel?” Loki asked as he felt ground underneath him. “Am I dead?”
“Not yet,” he heard a voice from the side “but you will be unless you come with us.”
Loki turned to look at the owner of the voice and saw 3, or was it 4?, variants of himself.
And then a figure moved from behind one of the Lokis. It. was. you.
You smiled wildly “Hey Uglyface! Long time no see.”

The sound of obnoxious clicking echoed around the otherwise quiet office as Loki swirled around in his seat. His thumb flicked the button of the pen in his hand repeatedly as he ignored the glares of those sharing the cubicles next to him.
Mobius had left him about thirty minutes ago, instructing him to watch the videos pertaining to the NEXUS events and time itself while he talked to the higher ups, and unsurprisingly Loki had abandoned the task almost immediately after it was assigned.
"C'mon Loki, I know you understand this stuff." Miss Minutes spoke up, her southern accent tinted with disapproval as she cocked a hip out.
"Curious little thing you are. Tell me something, Miss Minutes. Are you alive or just a recording?" Loki piped up inquisitively as he leaned forward.
The orange colored clock rose a brow disbelieving as she stared at the God unsure of how to answer.
"Uh..kind of both?" She offered with a shrug. A mischievous smile upturned the corner of his lips and before she could blink a wadded up jetski magazine came down on her, nearly colliding with her head. Miss Minutes jumped out of the way as the playful God attempted to swat her. Resembling that of a Cat with a string of yarn.
"Hey! Mind your manners! Jerk." The clock leaped for the screen before the God, her body returning to a two dimensional cartoon. Loki merely chuckled in amusement leaning back in his seat in smug content.
"Is that my jet ski magazine, put that down!" A familiar voice interrupted causing Loki to look up as the middle aged man walked over, his moustache twitching in either annoyance or amusement.
"Let's go. We have another case. The variant struck again." Mobius waved a jacket in Loki's direction, urging him to follow behind as he headed for the hall where the other agents were located.
Slipping the tan jacket on, Loki smirked in Mobius' direction.
"How do I look?" The God strutted ahead not noticing the smug looks the agents sent as the jacket headlined his status to the others.
"C-20 and her team went dark sometime after entering the 1985 branch. All signs point to another ambush. We've grabbed enough temporal aura to know it's another Loki variant. But which kind remains unknown." Hunter B-15 speaks bluntly, seriousness laced in her tone.
Despite the guarded looks on the agents' faces, Loki can't help but add his own unnecessary input.
"They're the lesser kind, to be clear." He grins amused, eyes alight with mischievousness.
All traces of humor leave his face when he catches the sarcastic smirk on Hunter B-15's face as she suggests for him to turn around, his eyes catching the word VARIANT printed in a rusty orange across his broad back.
"I don't want anyone to forget what you are." She adds snidely.
Loki has to hide back the slight sting her words leave as he tilts his head mockingly.
"Oh, your only hope of capturing a murderer?"
"No. A cosmic mistake." This time the words are spoken with a sharp bite, leading him to snap his mouth closed with barely contained anger.
"Look, let's just find our guy alright." Mobius adds in, desperate to try and put a stop to the tension.
"If you find a Loki, prune him."

"How long have we been best friends?" You questioned, eyes gleaming as you took a sip of your margarita. Fairy lights glittered above you as music pulsed loudly in the background, yet your focus was trained on the pretty brunette before you.
"It feels like forever." She giggled as she danced along in her seat to the music, her drink swaying dangerously in her hand.
"Hmm, then you'll have no problem telling me where the time keepers are." Your smile slid into a thin line as your eyes brightened an odd shade of gold.
"What?" The brunette suddenly froze in her tracks, the glazed look in her eyes fading as she came to her senses. Her eyes darted around nervously as recognition filled the lines in her face as she looked back at you, fear making itself known.
"I know this place, but I don't know you."
You grinned slyly as your hands took on a similar hue to your eyes, wisps of energy manipulated by your hands.
"You will."

"Alright, our variant is somewhere in here so we need to group up in pairs, we don't know what this variant wants nor what he looks like, so we need to stay sharp. Loki and I will head-"
"No, he comes with me." Mobius stopped sharply as he looked to Hunter in disbelief, his moustache once again drooping with disapproval.
"What! No, I am his supervisor so he needs to come with me."
"Look if you want to take this up with Renslayer-"
"Mobius, it's fine. You can trust me." Loki offers as he walks steadily to Hunter's side not bothering to hide his smirk as she obviously moves away from him, her displeasure clear.
"Why is it always the ones that you can't trust, say to trust them. Fine, go! Try not to lose the collar this time." Mobius shakes his head at the pair as he takes off in the opposite direction.
"I for one think it's great we are spending time together." Loki quips after a moment in tense silence. Hunter rolls her eyes motioning for him to be quiet as they come across a lone figure in the aisle.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Hunter called out as the figure turned slowly, obscured by the shelves lining the walkway.
"Woah, it's okay! I was just buying some spring decor." Rounding the corner, a man spoke with his hands raised up in surrender.
Loki eyed the man wearily as he exchanged looks with B-15.
"In the middle of a storm?" He questioned. The male shrugged innocently as Hunter cast a suspicious glare at Loki.
"Could this be you?"
"Well I would have worn a suit, but yes." With that Hunter was stepping forward, her wand poised to attack.
Before the pair could blink the male was reaching forward, his hand locking around Hunter's forearm. A soft cloud of green was the only indication that anything had taken place.
"Hmm, you're not as handsome as she claimed you to be." Hunter piped up as the male fell limp. Loki looked up in surprise as a coy grin occupied the normally stoic agent's face.
"Me, I presume?" He put the pieces together quite quickly.
"Not quite." Loki watched as the variant comfortably controlled the body of a stranger not at all feeling threatened by the God.
"What is it you want?" Loki found himself asking despite knowing he would not get an answer. If this Loki was anything like himself, they were manipulative and took joy in mind games.
"Such interesting questions, shame I don't feel like answering them." Hunter piped up with a swing in her step. Loki could only wonder if this was how Thor felt constantly when he was being a little shit.
"Now I know why Thor thought this was annoying," Loki muttered "Enough mind games, what do you want from me?!" He shouted, eyes blazing.
"Do you guys need help finding the storm shelter?" A kind voice suddenly piped up, a man no older than twenty offering a shy grin.
"No." Loki, the lesser kind of course, replied and he watched as Hunter collapsed to the floor, the male taking her place.
"How long are you going to keep this game up, Loki?" He sneered as he watched on cautiously.
"Ugh, do not call me that." A grimace took over the male's face as he looked at his nametag, "You can call me Randy."
Loki rolled his eyes as he straightened up, his eyes calculating.
"Alright then, Randy. I have a proposition." Randy titled his head in interest as he motioned for Loki to walk with him.
"I plan to overthrow the TVA and take the place of the timekeepers, and I'm in dire need of a second in command."
Randy scoffed at his words, spinning on his heel with a flourish.
"Wow so you went undercover? You really think that's what this is about? You're even less intelligent than I thought."  Randy placed his hands behind his back as he walked away. Loki's lips slipped into a scowl as he followed close behind.
"Now wait just a minute." As he turned the corner he was suddenly hit with a kick to the chest, sending him careening into the display behind him and causing him to blink in shock as pain laced through his body.
He glanced up as a portly shaped man laughed wickedly as he stepped forward.
"Enough. I have shit to do, and you are irrelevant to my plans."
Loki flipped his hair from his face theatrically as he sat back on his heels, his glare promising.
"Rude."
He leapt for the variant, aiming a punch to the throat that unfortunately was dodged.
"Show yourself, or are you afraid?" Loki taunted as they danced around one another, dodging hits and kicks alike.
He blinked as the variant disappeared, the lights flickering, washing over his silhouette with an abundance of red.
"Prepare yourself, Loki." He turned as a hooded figure spoke, a smaller silhouette accompanying them.
His voice echoed back around them as the lights flickered along the aisles, the hooded figure's footsteps the only sound apart from his own breath.
Suddenly the figure lifted it's hood and he gasped as a head of blonde hair was revealed, dressed in a familiar garb of armor with a horned crown atop her head.
"Surprised are we? This was never about you." She smirked, stepping around him to grab the time charge as she turned the dials.
Loki could only watch as each time charge lit up, a countdown starting as they each buzzed with energy.
"So that's your plan, to blow us all up?" He questioned.
She shook her head as she opened a portal, a figure stepping through.
"I wouldn't worry about that. After all, my friend has been looking forward to seeing you."
Loki blinked in confusion as the figure, a female he concluded based on their physique, lifted their head. His eyes widened as he took in your face, recognition plastered on his own as he remembered seeing you on his file as his lover.
"Oh darling, how I've missed you."

Loki (Series) Masterlist
You stand behind Mobius as he discusses the new dead unit of minute men with one of the present minute men only half paying attention focusing more on the room when the door suddenly opened and a young child entered the room. The minute men all shifted to attack mode ready to reset whoever entered.
“Woah woah hang on it’s just a kid” You and Mobius say to try and gain control of the situation again. Mobius approaches the child slowly, you following not too far behind him. Mobius starts speaking to the child in a language you did not understand. You were still a new agent working under Mobius so there were still things you were learning, languages being one of them. After a brief conversation with the child it was confirmed it was our Loki variant and we prepared to leave. A portal opened to your right and another agent approached you and Mobius.
“I think you’re gonna want to see this.” This was all the agent said before handing Mobius a file. You peek over his shoulder to see what the file said letting out an audible gasp when you saw who it was -Loki Laufeyson- this just got interesting. You and Mobius made eye contact and had a silent conversation. You guys needed this variant's help. The two of you took off running through the portal but as you approached the court room Mobius stopped you.
“Y/N wait you stay out here for now I got this handled okay.” Mobius was your superior agent even if you wanted to argue with him on this point it wouldn’t really matter so why bother. You lightly nod your head in response before leaning against the wall. “Thanks for understanding kiddo.” He mumbled before entering the courtroom, leaving you rolling your eyes. If you're being honest you were a little nervous to meet this variant and you genuinely did hope he was able to help you. When you were first assigned to this case you studied Loki’s timeline and you had actually grown very fond of Loki even if he was only out for himself. You felt sympathy for the man who seemed to lose everything just when things started to look up for him.
“Come on let's go,” Mobius’s sudden appearance startled you out of your thoughts. You start following him to the elevator sparing occasional glances at the new presence that followed not too far behind.
“I’m gonna burn this place to the ground.” The man behind you growls out causing you to snicker this response is what you expected from the dark haired man behind you.
“Yeah, I’ll show you Mobius’s desk. I'm sure he would let you start your fire there.” Came your response in turn and you grinned at him. Loki looks at you with a surprised expression for only a split second before going stoic again, even scowling at you slightly. Your expression however doesn’t change at all as you turned back to looking at your bosses back. You sense Loki drifting away from the group and turn to see what is wrong, noticing he is looking out at the city. “Pretty cool isn’t it?” You ask even though you know you won’t be getting a response to the question.
“I thought there was no magic at the TVA,” Loki almost breathed out these words.
“Oh there isn’t” Mobius says
“Yup, no magic here I think it’s rather impressive” You state looking over at Mobius, “We should probably get going, right boss?”
“Right” you and Mobius now walk side by side with Loki still trailing slightly behind.
“Who are you people?” Loki asks. You and Mobius glance at each other and smirk but say nothing in response just continue walking to the elevator. He would find out soon enough you guys had no need to rush telling him just yet. “This place is a nightmare.” He grumbled
“That’s a different department actually,” Mobius replies with a groan.
“We’ll gladly help you burn that one down Loki.” You snicker, you really did hate that department. Finally you entered the elevator where you stood next to Loki who stood in the middle of you and Mobius.
“I’m Agent Mobius by the way,” He says as he extends his hand out to Loki who only glanced at his hand with a look of disgust. Mobius slowly retracts his hand before glancing at you as if asking for help to which you only shrug.
“Hi Loki, I’m Y/N. I’m a new agent who works with Mobius.” You say this with the stupidest grin on you face and just wave at the dark haired man. Loki looks at you a little confused but waves back a little bit.
“So you are new, how long have you worked here then?” Loki asked you.
“Hard to tell really.”
“They are right, it is hard to tell time works differently here.” Mobius finishes your thought for you.
“What does that mean?”
“Don’t worry Loki you’ll figure it out soon enough.” You answer
“And what exactly do you want from me?”
“So many questions Loki...” The doors open and you all step out. “We just want to talk.”
“Well that’s unfortunate I don’t like to talk”
“Bullshit, anyways after you oh god of lies,” you respond holding the door open for Loki and Mobius.
“Actually, Y/N can you wait out here until I call you in?”
“What! No don’t be ridiculous, this would be an amazing learning experience for me to sit in on!”
“Y/N I have a plan you just need to trust me okay”
“Fine, whatever. I’m not happy about this though.”
“Obviously!” With that Mobius is gone into the film room again leaving you alone in the halls of the TVA. You sit down figuring you are gonna be here for a while.
You were right you sat there for what felt like hours hearing the two men in the room bicker amongst themselves really it was only about twenty minutes but your impatient. As you wait Hunter B-15 storms into the room before you can even voice your protest.
“Y/N come in here please.” Mobius shouts through the door. As you enter you notice the image floating across the room from you. It's of a womens body and judging by Loki’s you know it’s Frigga. You also notice Loki holding something in his hand but elect not to mention it to the two other agents in the room.
“Yeah boss?” You ask in a hushed tone scared to speak louder because of the tension in the room.
“Watch Loki, I need to speak with Hunter B-15 outside.”
“Okay boss no problem.” Your gaze that had been locked with your boss slowly drifts to Loki as you hear the door slam shut. “I’m sorry about your mother, I understand you two were close...”
“You don’t know anything about me! I did not kill my mother, she’s not dead, none of this happened!” Loki yells at you but you do not flinch, instead you walk to the table and sit down.
“Loki if you want to use the collar remote and get the tesseract back I won’t stop you go ahead. I’ll be here when you are ready to watch the rest of your timeline.” You explain letting him know that you are in on his plan and that you are not gonna be the one that stops him. “Well go on then.” and with that he is gone. The door slams open again and Mobius enters saying something about finishing tomorrow when he realizes it is only you. Mobius gives you a what the hell look to which you just shrug in response. “You should probably go and find him before Hunter B-15. I'll wait here in case he comes back.” A small smirk works its way onto your face during this retort. Mobius lets out an exasperated sigh.
“I have a feeling you helped him in some way.”
“What? Me? Never, but I do suggest keeping a closer eye on that colar controller my friend.” Mobius only rolled his eyes at this as he started to walk away.
“You are the worst!”
“Hey! At least I’m the best at being the worst!” You quickly shoot back before the door slams shut yet again. You know what you are doing and you also know Mobius is aware of this and that’s why he left so easily. About five minutes later Loki appears again this time holding the tesseract. “Hello again.”
“The Infinity stones are really useless here aren’t they?”
“Yup sorry. Well...are you ready to finish your timeline?” Loki only nods in response, “Okay it’s all set up for you just press play. I’ll let you have control over the projector.” You show him how it works and sit beside him as he watches the rest of the file. When you get to the moment Odin dies you feel him tense. You wanted no...no you needed to comfort him but you weren’t sure how he would react, slowly you moved your hand to his shoulder and when he didn’t flinch away you took it as a sign you could continue. You slowly end up hugging him from behind providing him with pressure to both ground him and remind him that he was not alone. As you got closer and closer to the end of the file the more Loki shoulders shook and the more useless you felt in your attempt to comfort him. The worst part came when he had his last confrontation with Thanos. You knew he had to see it but you had seen it one to many times already so as Thanos picked the projected Loki up by his neck you hid your face in between the shoulderblades of the Loki in front of you but even that wasn’t enough to prevent the noise of his neck snapping from reaching you ears. You cringe at the sickening noise and let out a small nose of discomfort. “I’m sorry Loki, you didn’t deserve that.”
“Yes I did, I'm the villain of the story I always was and I always will be.”
“No, no you’re wrong Loki you died a hero you sacrificed yourself for the people you love that makes you a hero in my book.”
“Why do you even care what I think of myself?”
“Because Loki I happen to take an interest in broken things I like trying to fix them. You my dear may be damaged but you are not beyond repair.”

Apocalypse... Now? (Loki x Reader)
Summary: Loki and the reader convince Mobius to take them to an apocalypse. Chaos and attempted timeline disruption ensues.

“Hence, the Variant could be hiding in an apocalypse, and do whatever he wants.”
Loki’s whirlwind of excitement had swept you up early on, whisking you from the comfort of the library.
He was a flurry of dark curls and giddiness, more childlike than you’d experienced in many years. Loki explained his theory on using apocalypses to conceal out of place events from the TVA, and it made a surprising amount of sense to you (someone who really struggled wrapping your head around the whole ‘varying timelines’ deal).
“The TVA would, theoretically, be ignorant to such actions.” You added as you proposed the theory to Mobius.
Loki was seated across from the agent, whose ruined lunch sat between them, drowned in juice and looking rather sad. You were leaning on the chair behind Loki, squeezing the back of it with nervous energy.
The others, aside from the poor man whose juice was stolen, occupying the small dining area remained unbothered by Loki’s chaotic explanation.
Agent Mobius, on the other hand, stared at the two of you with a blank expression.
“Not bad.” He finally conceded, rocking back on his chair and nodding.
Loki continued on his tangent “Take us to a real apocalypse, to Ragnarok, I’ll show you.”
Your fingers curled around the chair, chest tightening at the thought of Asgard’s destruction. Sure, you may have thought the crown and the gold everything was a bit much- coming from a peasant family and all- but it was still your home realm. Ragnarok had been a mere legend in your timeline, but according to the library’s files, it had come to pass as expected.
Surtur and Hela at the center, while the Princes saved the people. Where were you in all of that? Apparently fighting alongside Thor and Loki on the Bifrost. You had hummed at that- your future self must have grown much more talented with weapons sometime between Loki’s invasion of Earth and Ragnarok.
Finding your ‘greatest hits’ reel was high on your ‘Things to Ask Agent Mobius’ list.
“Yeah, so you two can run away back to your homeland? No.” Mobius’ tone left little room for argument, and Loki waved his hands in a placating gesture.
“No, we’re not going home. We can go anywhere.” Loki offered.
“For what it’s worth, I have no interest in visiting Ragnarok. I’d much rather visit a different apocalypse.” You chimed in, taking a moment to snatch the chair from a nearby vacant table.
As you settled, Mobius continued. “I’m not taking either of you for a stroll along the promenade, much less together to an apocalypse.”
“Oh, Mobius, come on!” Loki protested, careful to avoid hitting you with his grandiose hand gestures. “What could possibly go wrong? We gotta properly test this theory.”
“Well, here’s a fun theory: you lure me out into the field, and then stab me in the back. And that’s a theory I don’t wanna test.” Mobius countered.
Your eyes snapped to Loki’s face. It was a very valid point, even to you. You loved the fool sitting beside you, but his track record concerning trust was far from clean.
“I’d never stab someone in the back.” Loki’s ability to lie was flawless. “That’s such a boring form of betrayal. Y/N, tell him!”
You paused, looking between Mobius and Loki. Your jaw worked a moment before you opened your mouth. “I don’t think he would stab you while I’m with him. That would make me quite upset.”
Mobius looked from you to the God of Mischief, clearly unmoved.
“That’s really cute. You both are.” He admonished
“Why thank you.” You took the backhanded compliment as smoothly as possible, ignoring the condescending tone within.
“If you’ve studied my life as you say, you know I refrain from upsetting Y/N whenever possible. So, if it pleases Y/N to leave you without stab wounds, it shall be!” Loki wrapped an arm around your shoulders, much to Mobius’ amusement.
“You refrain from upsetting Y/N, huh? Like that time Y/N asked you to come to your senses and not attack one of the largest cities on Earth?” the Agent reasoned.
It was fair to say that you were upset by the attack on New York. Not a great choice, that one.
“To be fair, he was not of sound mind when doing so.” You defended. “However, I know one thing that Loki does love.”
Mobius snorted. “I gotta hear this one.”
“He loves to be right.”
________________________________
Pompeii reminded you of Asgard.
The hairstyles, the dress, the atmosphere. It was all reminiscent of your home world. Even the rumbling volcano on the horizon, threatening to erupt and bury everyone beneath ash. Since Ragnarok had come to pass, you imagined Surtur did something very similar to the Golden Realm.
“Imagine. All that volcanic ash!” Loki was hissing at Mobius, and the agent was growing very listless.
He continued to hush yourself and Loki if you grew too loud, even as the people seemed to carry on with their day like you didn’t exist. “I know. We don’t wanna get too giddy.”
“Oh, lighten up.” You griped, “You’ve never wanted to see history in action?”
“I have seen history in action, and I’ve seen how cruel it can be.” Mobius muttered. “But this is just in poor taste…”
“They’re all gonna die anyway.” Loki interjected, louder than the both of you.
You surveyed the bustling street, while exactly no one paid you any mind.
“I know. Now, listen I’m gonna watch the TemPad for any variance energy. We gotta be careful.”
Rolling your eyes at the men’s continued bickering, you wandered away towards a woman who carried a basket of fruit.
“Sit mihi unum sunt?” You spoke to her in Latin, asking for a piece of fruit.
The woman furrowed her brow as she surveyed your modern, TVA-issued outfit, and slowly withdrew a lemon from the basket. She dropped it in your palm and scurried off towards another group. Presumably, to seek shelter from yourself.
You sauntered back to Loki’s side, breaking the lemon in half. “How’d I do?”
Loki smiled fondly at your bit of mischief, taking a piece of the lemon to taste. His features puckered at the sour tang, and he instead dropped the fruit to the dusty ground. You chuckled, leaning up to kiss a bead of lemon juice off the corner of his mouth. While he had a soft hand at your waist, Loki was looking mischievously at the crowd your friend with the lemons had joined.
Mobius heaved a sigh. “We need to be careful. I just- Loki!”
You froze with the lemon halfway to your mouth as the God of Lies took off running to a nearby cart containing dairy goats. He knocked the wooden gate away from the back, freeing the creatures.
“Go! Be free, my horned friends, be free!”
You had never heard Loki yell something so absurd. Your feet remained planted next to Mobius, slowly raising your eyes to his. The warning there was clear: do not join in on Loki’s antics.
Loki began to speak in Latin then, calling out to the village and announcing their imminent doom. Most simply stared with disinterest, while some paid him no attention at all. It wasn’t until the raven-haired fool switched back to English and spoke that he slowed down.
“We are from the future, right? What is the TVA? I mean, it’s from the future. Seems pretty future-y.”
Much to Mobius’ dismay, you laughed at Loki’s outrageous actions; a full-bodied laugh that you hadn’t felt since before New York.
“Is it always like this?” Mobius asked suddenly.
You raised your eyebrows.
“Loki? Um, he’s always been mischievous.” You scratched at your temple awkwardly. “I suppose the goat-liberating and yelling is… new.”
Mount Vesuvius chose that moment to display its displeasure, erupting in a wretched cloud of black ash and smoke. You jumped in surprise, instinctively holding an arm up to shield your face.
“Right on cue!” Loki hollered, “Enjoy your last meal while you can! Nothing matters!”
Able to sense the mounting anxiety around Mobius, you ran to the village square and grabbed the madman you called a lover by the arm. While you knew no harm would befall any of your group, the panic was making you the slightest bit nervous.
“As much fun as this is, my dear, we’ve got to go.”
Loki spun you into a sudden kiss, smothering the sounds of screaming townsfolk for a moment. He swept you into his arms and in a circle in a mock dance- to further disrupt the timeline, obviously- as he padded back towards Mobius. You squirmed until he placed you on the ground, metres from the chaos.
“How’d we do?”

Making Time
Mobius M Mobius x Reader
Part 1
My Masterlist • Series Masterlist
A/N: Not sure if many people want this but I like the idea of working for the TVA & Mobius is kinda funny and charming. I really hope I don’t start to regret this once the rest of Loki comes out
Tumblr media
Whilst all the desks at the TVA were practically identical in the impersonal corporate sense, Mobius’s desk was a lot nicer than yours. Having been at the TVA for longer than you, he’d gotten everything sorted into a comfortable space, whereas your desk was scattered with papers and mugs you’d always forgotten about. There’s a incessant knocking against wood nearby. Your head perks up from where you’ve been sorting through files on the floor beside Mobius’s chair. You spot Ravi, a fellow assistant, leaning over the top of the cubicle.
“Hey [Y/N].”
“Hi Ravi.” You reply, returning to your sorting.
“Where’s Mobius?”
“Erm, France, 1549.”
“There’s been a development in the Loki Variant case.” You nod,
“That’s why he’s in France.”
“This is a new development.” He hands a file to you, and you skim over it quickly. Laufeyson. Variant L1130, AKA Loki Laufeyson, is charged with sequence violation 7-20-89. You look up at him.
“Thanks, Ravi.” He smiles at you,
“No problem.” You stand up from the floor quickly. You pass through the TVA corridor’s before opening a Timedoor. You step into it, emerging in 16th Century France. Mobius is stood nearby, he looks up at you in surprise.
“Mobius. You might want to take a look at this.” You hand him the file. He looks over the front page, before nodding.
“Thank you, [Y/N].” He says, stepping forward, and placing a hand on your arm. “Let’s go, we need to hurry.” You both pass through the Timedoor.
Tumblr media
You both rush through the corridors of the TVA. You skid to a stop at the reception desk, a smile brightening your face when you recognise the receptionist.
“Hey Casey!” He looks up at you in surprise.
“[Y/N], hi!”
“We’re in a bit of a rush. Has there been a variant brought in? Tall, dark hair, most likely carrying a sparkly, blue cube?” Casey picks up the Tesseract from a drawer beside him.
“This?”
“Yes! Where is he?”
“They just took him into the courtroom.” You both set off running, and you call out,
“Thank you, Casey!”
You open the door to the courtroom, and Mobius hurries inside, taking tentative steps so as to not draw attention to the the two of you. You follow closely behind him. He slides onto a bench, with you taking the seat beside him. You’re knees bump together slightly, but he pays it no mind as his focus remains on Renslayer.
“We're not here to talk about the Avengers.” She says, looking down at Loki.
“Oh, no?” He asks her.
“No.”
“What they did was supposed to happen. You escaping was not.” Loki laughs at this,
“Right. Not supposed to happen? According to whom?”
“The Time-Keepers?” She offers.
“Oh, the Time-Keepers. Right.” He scoffs. “Well, perhaps I should speak to these Time-Keepers, gods to gods.”
“I'm sorry, but they're quite busy.”
“Oh, they are? What are they doing?”
“Dictating the proper flow of time.”
“I see. Right. And then what do you do?”
“Dictate the proper flow of time according to their dictations. How do you plead?” You watch Loki as he smirks, holding his hands out.
“Guilty, of this.” He grasps his fists a few times, confusion clear in his actions.
“What’s going on?” Renslayer asks, looking for side to side.
“Hang on. Everyone quiet.” Loki reasons. Hunter B-15 laughs,
“He's trying to use his powers, ma'am.” He slams his hands down on the podium in front of him,
“Damn it! Why won’t it work?”
“Magic powers? They're no good in the TVA, Mr Laufeyson.” Renslayer tells him. “The court finds you guilty, and I sentence you to be reset. Next case, please!” She calls out, as is there’s a colossal queue waiting.
“Reset? What does that mean? What, is it bad? What does it mean? You ridiculous bureaucrats will not dictate how my story ends!” Loki exclaims hurriedly, as the Hunters surrounding him begin to drag him away.
“It's not your story, Mr Laufeyson. It never was.” She tells him in a bored tone, a little harshly you think.
“You have no idea what I'm capable of!”
“I think I might.” Mobius stands quickly, making his way past you. “Have an idea of what he's capable of.” He adds. Renslayer considers him for a moment,
“Approach the bench.” He steps forward, and you hear him offer a soft,
“Hi.”
“If you're thinking what I think you are, it's a bad idea.” She hisses.
“Okay, I'm just chasing a hunch.”
“Anything goes sideways, it's on you.”
“Okay. I feel like I'm always looking up to you. I like it. It's appropriate.” You roll your eyes at him, as you stand and take your place beside him. Loki continues to struggle against the hunters. He looks Mobius up and down.
“And who are you?”
Tumblr media
“I’m going to burn this place to the ground.” You hear Loki growl.
“I'll show you where my desk is, you can start there.” Mobius remarks, and you can’t help but smirk. He glances at you, sending you a winking once your eyes meet. You roll your eyes at him again. Loki slows his walk, looking across the railing out into the TVA. You and Mobius stop to look at him.
“Have a look.” Mobius tells him, gesturing towards the view. Loki approaches the railing, staring out at the city in front of you.
“I thought there was no magic here.” Loki asks, a frown of confusion on his face.
“There isn't.” Mobius replies.
“That's not real.” Loki decides.
“It is, and, unfortunately, so is all the paperwork. Good tinder for your fire, though. Come on.”
“This place is a nightmare.”
“That's another department. Now that department I'll help you burn down. You shake your head at him, smiling. The three of you step into the elevator. You stand on one side of Mobius, with Loki on the other. You press the button for the appropriate department. The faint tune of elevator music fills the temporary silence, before Mobius turns to Loki,
“I’m Agent Mobius, by the way.” He holds his hand out for Loki to shake. Loki looks down at his hand, with no plan to shake it at all. “This is my associate, Agent [Y/N].” You offer him a small smile with a nod, as his eyes briefly acknowledge your presence. You’ve always liked how Mobius refers to you as his associate, rather than assistant. Unlike the majority of the TVA. Loki turns his attention back to Mobius,
“Are you taking me somewhere to kill me?”
“No. That's where you just were. I'm taking you some place to talk.”
“I don't like to talk.” Loki lies.
“But you do like to lie, which you just did.”
“Because we both know you love to talk. Talkie-talkie.”
“How long have you been here?” Mobius sighs,
“I don't know. It's hard to say, time passes differently here in the TVA.” Loki frowns at this,
“What does that mean?”
“You'll catch up.” The elevator door opens and the three of you step out. You remain close to Mobius’s side, with Loki trailing behind.
“So, you're part of the TVA's courageous and dedicated workforce?”
“Yes.”
“You were created by the Time-Keepers.”
“Yep.”
“To protect the Sacred Timeline.” You hear the mocking tone in his voice. He’s not believing a word of this.
“Correct.” Loki laughs.
“Is that funny?” Mobius asks him, as he heads down the steps towards the door. You both look back at Loki as he exclaims,
“The idea that your little club decides the fate of trillions of people across all of existence at the behest of three space lizards, yes, it's funny. It's absurd.” Mobius considers him for a moment before saying,
“I thought you didn't like to talk.” He opens the door, gesturing to Loki. “After you.” Loki passes you and walks into the room.
“I’ll wait until you’re done.” You say, meeting Mobius’s gaze.
“You don’t have to.” He insists.
“I’ll wait.” You’ve caught Loki’s attention, his head turning to examine you after hearing your voice for the first time. You watch as Mobius walks into the room, and you close the door behind him.
You’re not stood for long before Hunter B-15 approaches. She attempts to brush past you. You hold your arm out,
“Mobius is in the middle of an interrogation.” You protest. “You can’t just interrupt.”
“Stand aside, Variant.” You clench your jaw, a prickle of fear in your chest as she pushes the door open.
“What are you doing?” She calls out to Mobius.
“My job. Is it yours to interrupt?” He replies. His eyes fall on you as you give him an apologetic look. He shrugs lightly in response.
“We have a situation.” She tells him. He sighs,
“There's always a situation.” He turns to Loki,
“Don't go anywhere. It was just getting good. Spirited.”
You hover by the door, as Mobius and B-15 head further along the corridor to talk. You hear the two of them bickering momentarily before Mobius returns.
“We’ve lost another unit.” He tells you. You sigh,
“Are we going to wrap this up then?” You ask, he nods as you open the door. He steps inside and you follow him as he calls out,
“Okay, Loki, I think we can finish up tomorrow and just pick it...” He trails off, and you look around for Loki. The room’s empty. You watch Mobius slip his hand into his pocket, before leaning his head back with a sigh, “Mischievous scamp.” You both rush outside, Mobius calling B-15 back.
“Wish I could say I was surprised.” She retorts.
“Yeah, I wish you hadn't interrupted us.” Mobius adds, annoyance lacing this tone. The two of you jog alongside the Hunters she’s gathered.
“Me? It's my fault?” She exclaims.
“He can't have gotten very far.” You reason, attempting to prevent an argument.
“Split up. Prune on sight.” She orders.
“No, no pruning, no resetting. He can still help us!” Mobius argues. Your group splits up. You wander through the corridors for awhile before deciding to return to the projection room. Once Loki realised he can’t get far he might decide to hide in there. Turns out, you’re right. Loki is perched on the steps at one side of the room. You glance as the projector, the bold ‘End of File’ standing out from the screen. He holds the Tesseract in one hand, the blue glow casting a shadow across his face.
“I’m guessing you know that won’t work here.” You say, keeping a safe distance between the two of you. He nods,
“Not through a lack of trying.” You sit down on the steps, glancing at him for a moment before staring at the wall.
“Did he give you the: your only purpose is a side character to develop other people on their path to greatness, speech?” He looks up at you sharply. You meet his gaze, “I suppose that’s a yes.” He nods. You sigh, “I know it sucks, but I have to admit it does put things in perspective.”
“Perspective?” You nod,
“That the only reason why you did the things you’ve done, is because it was meant to happen. Because the all knowing space lizards decided it. But you’re out of the timeline now, Loki. You can do whatever you want.” You watch as he considers your words. “That’s not me giving you the okay to kill me. Or Mobius, don’t kill him. Anyone else, I’m not too fussed.” You joke. A small smile flits across his face. “I’m going to call Mobius now, he’s the better option over B-15.” Loki nods, and you retreat outside the room. You pull out your phone and dial for Mobius,
“Mobius, I’ve found him. He’s back at the projection room.”
“Do not approach him, [Y/N]. Do you hear me? I’m on my way now.” You agree, and wait outside the door. Mobius rushes down the corridor, grasping hold of you. “Are you okay?” You nod,
“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.” He pauses, checking you over for a moment, before nodding and opening the door to reveal Loki. You wait outside as they presumably have a heart to heart. It’s not long before Mobius is back by your side, with Loki in tow.
“Say hello to our newest team member.”

Soggy lips under the desk-Another Loki x reader headcanon
WARNING: Mature/Explicit content. Gender neutral reader.
Tumblr media
-Relationships aren’t forbiden at TVA, but still nobody has (or wants) to know their “evil” variant is dating one of their crewmembers. But holy sh*t, being in this secret engagement is too funny for you.
-Mostly because you can flirt in front of everyone in a very special manner that looks more like you are buddies mocking each other, but once Renslayer or Mobius look to another side, you both squeeze into the nearest dark corner or wardrobe to make out agressively.
-That’s how you found out Loki has a very peculiar manner to enjoy physical things for he likes being both dominant and submisive at the same time if possible. Not every scenario can help with this, but you managed to find a little game that may fulfill such desire of your beloved trickster god.
-You hear him making fun of Miss Minutes while he’s supposed to be working at his desk. Luckily that sort of cubicles help with privacy and basically nobody can see each other as long as they remain in the ceillingless box. That’s how you could enter and hide under the desk, crawling in four until your head poped out near to Loki’s knees.
-”Can I... help you?” he asks, a little confused of watching you down there. You smile as your hands go to the waistband of his pants and begin to umbotton the clothes. “Wait... what are you doing?” he pushes back chair and all but you grab yourself to the armrests, forcing him to pull his chair to its place. Now you can bet you have his attention, curious for what you’re pretending with that evil giggle in your hot red lips.
-Once you unzip his pants his manhood is released right in front of your face. You make a funny “oh” with your lips. It is not fully grown yet but as soon as one of your fingers gently pokes the warn surface you only hear a soft gasp from Loki.
-”Surprised, my little one?” he wants to keep a comic ambience, but his smile disolves when your whole hand wraps around the shaft, moving up and down in a slow and very sensitive pace. You know his heartbit is going quickier since the organ is getting responsive to your touch, growing wide between your fingers.
- Your thumb tests the soft head, and Loki grunts. “Oh, Y/N... wait...” but you’re not there to listen that sort of begging, and you lick your lips so Loki can see you. Now he knows what you’re about to do and his whole body tenses. Your lips are placed on the tip, giving a soft, almost innocent kiss, and then your tongue comes out and licks the same spot. If you weren’t so busy staring at the bright pink head that’s already throbbing for you, you could see Loki’s face going to a half impressed, half hungry gaze.
-Your tongue keeps doing what it wants, circling the head until the edge, and then you lick the shaft like an icepop. Loki’s body is fully pressed against his chair and you can almost hear the muscles stretching. A hand travels to your head and pats you, digging fingers in your hair but not with the intention of guide you, just to make you turn your eyes to his face. Oh dear, you’ve never seen him doing that glorious face, so flustered and filled with dark desire.
-”Do it as you want” Loki growns, and you’re more than happy to obey. Your lips close around the tip and your head leans down to take the first mouthful of his cock. The muscles of your cheeks tighten as you suck, and Loki goes completely lost. His head falls upon the back of his chair and you can hear him doing a soft moaning, so sweet yet so naughty it just encourages your actions.
-The work of your mouth, lips and tongue on him is making wonders. His knuckles go white and you can even feel he’s pulling your hair a little. You place your hands on his thighs and bob up and down, trying to get a little bit more of his length everytime you go down, until the tip of the cock hits the back of your mouth and you fight the gag reflex because when you do it, Loki has to cover his mouth with a hand due to the unholy sounds he’s making.
-Soon your mouth is filled with your own saliva and his salty but not disgusting precum, and then... “Loki, you have a minute?” Cannot be true, but Mobius is trying to enter to the cubicle. Your eyes meet Loki’s and the only thing you can do is crawl back under the desk as he pushes his bottom body behind it to hide the pulsating shaft.
-Loki does his best to pretend nothing weird is happening, but a mischievous idea illuminates you. As Loki speaks to Mobius about sime files he was supposed to review, your mouth comes back to the match and the poor man almost jumps.
-”Is everything alright, Loki?” Mobius asks, completely unaware of your presence. Loki smiles, his cheeks reddened. “Everyting’s fine, yes...” he manages to reply, though his voice goes a little shivering. “Are you... sure? You look a little sweaty” Mobius points out. You can almost listen Loki’s brain gears forcing into the maximun velocity to give a good answer. “Is nothing important, I... was very concentrated, that’s all...” is the inly thing he can say before gulping and fixing his eyes on the agent with a silent begging in his sight.
-Thanks gods Mobius chooses to leave Loki aline, reminding him he must finish the files before he comes back again, and Loki murmurs to himself as the other man walks away “of course I’ll finish...” You chuckle softly and make your last effort: your head isn’t only moving faster, but your tongue is having its way with every sensitive place you can find, mostly the head which you suck and nibble with your eyes searching for your lover’s aroused face.
-”Fuck, Y/N” you hear him moan as his cock pulsates a little more than before. You know what’s about to happen, but you don’t retract yourself, this time you want to take it whole. “Wait, Y/N, stop... I’m about to...” he groans, and a few seconds later the rush of his release reaches the back of your mouth, filling it with the warm of his seed. With your mouth still wrapped around him, you swallow, and the movemente makes Loki squirm on his seat.
-Once you’re done and the last ropes of cum barely moist your lips, you can see the result of your little game: Loki, looking like about to faint on his chair, face reddened and small drops of sweat running down his neck and forehead, his cock slowly getting back to its usual shape covered in the blurred red of your lipstick and saliva.
-A hand reaches your face and you feel Loki’s fingers caresing one of your cheeks. There’s not other word to describe his face but pure devotion, his eyebrows barely raised and his eyes full of love. “I... hope you liked it” are your first words to him during this time, a shy smile on your lips. “My little one...” Loki leans over and kisses your mouth, getting his own lips stained with the remains of red “I knew I wasn’t wrong when I chose you, little rogue”.
