Okay, I wanna talk about this scene and what it might mean for Loki and Mobius in S2.
Tumblr media
Sure, they stood here so Loki could point at the panel showing all the Kangs fighting, and the full mural is meant to be the story of how the Time Keepers created order out of chaos, but what if it also means something else.
Let's look at Mobius first, then Loki.
Mobius POV
Mobius is standing with his back to a panel representing chaos and looking at one that represents order, showing the Time Keepers appearing as gods to shocked people below. Seems very religious and mythological, right?
"If you think too hard about where any of us came from, who we truly are, it sounds kinda ridiculous."
Mobius had always believed in order and that what the TVA were doing, ripping people from their lives, was necessary.
He also has previously likened Loki's origins, which is literal mythology in mcu form, as similar to his own experiences in the TVA.
What he isn't aware of is who exactly was behind the curtain or that all-out war is coming. That's something Loki reveals to Mobius, showing him the truth in his blindspot (the panel behind him).
Now, he knows the Time Keepers are fake, that he wasn't created by them. By this point in the episode, he's already acknowledged to B-15 that their gods are dead.
This revelation for Mobius feels pretty similar to how the truth was revealed to Loki in S1E1.
Mobius is also looking at a panicked Loki. He's seen him teary-eyed before, but not this distressed.
What Mobius sees before him is his fear, that Loki won't be able to escape the bonds of the sacred timeline, that he's doomed to die, and that pains him.
And one last thing. Loki is a god of mischief, and I can't help thinking about the comparison of a real god Mobius can see in front of him and the fake Time Keepers in the panel behind Loki.
Loki POV
Meanwhile, Loki is looking at chaos that scares him. The panel has several Kangs all fighting for supremacy in a pose that was similar to that shown by Kang in S1E6.
Loki is the god of mischief, who thrives on chaos, and yet the prospect of all these Kangs frightens him.
War is the only thing preoccuping his mind. It's the only thing he can see.
But behind him are the Time Keepers, and we know they are fake, but what if the truth Loki has to face is that while he no longer wants a throne, he might need to take it to save the people he cares for, his found family.
Loki is looking at Mobius, who's concerned about him and a little rattled, but ultimately keeping his calm. I think this calm is likely to fracture the more season 2 progresses.
What Loki sees before him is his fear, that Mobius will be caught up in the war and lost to him. It's a reminder of what's at stake if he doesn't restore order. And he's already experienced a Mobius who didn't know him, and that was heartbreaking.
What this scene also does is continue both Loki and Mobius being mirrors for each other, revealing truth and reflecting one another.
They are similar to each other in many ways. We saw glimpses of Mobius embracing chaos in S1, which I always love to see. And I can't wait to see more of these soulmates. They are important to one another.
Thanks to @lgwilt and @insert-witty-user-name-here for discussing this theory with me. I added in your glorious insights because what you said really resonated with me.
And I haven't even spoken about all the touching, that Mobius doesn't want to lose Loki and Loki is just so desperate to get to Mobius, but I think other people have covered that.
And just a wee note to everyone that this is just me theorising, and usually my theories do not happen, but I couldn't help pondering if this mural had an even deeper meaning. I just like theorising for fun.
Hopefully, the above made some sort of sense.

Time was passing fast - as fast as it could tick by while being 'stuck' at the TVA.
A lot had happened.
Mobius and Loki became best friends, first and foremost. They learned to trust each other and how to work together. Ravonna Renslayer disappeared - only the Norns knew where to, and the 'Time Keepers' had been overthrown and were now replaced by a council - for which everybody who wanted could vote. All of the workers knew now, that they were variants. It was chaotic and messy at first, but Loki and Mobius offered them to get their memories back - which took an awful lot of time, but it was worth it. Friends found each other again, just like family members, couples, classmates - hel, even neighbours.
It was part of the compromise.
For the safety of the time line everybody must stay at the TVA. Time lines still had to be reset, because everybody realised that there were only two ways... Strict order or complete chaos. Sure, it was cruel and unfair, but life just wasn't.
Unlike before, though, variants didn't get pruned as before. They got a thoroughly detailed explanation what was happening and how thinks worked here. They got offered a job. A home to stay. A chance to reunite with other variants they might know. A new life.
And the concept worked.
Tumblr media
"Are you still thinking about her?" Mobius' voice urged to Loki's ears, as they sat across from each other in their lunch break; eating a slice of cake for dessert. Well... Mobius ate it. Loki was more or less absent-mindedly poking around with a fork in the poor deliciousness. At Mobius' words, though, he stopped and looked up; being snapped out of his thoughts.
The god sighed; "I think about her every day, Mobius." shaking his head. "I can't forget. Neither the memories, nor what could've been. And especially not Y/N." Like so often, when Loki's brain put him through the torturous memories of what had happend quite a while ago, here, in the TVA, as Mobius threw him inside his very own sweet, cruel dream, tears started to form in his eyes.
Mobius' eyes softened. He felt for his friend and was truly sorry about this tragedy. "I know you can't - and I'm so sorry. I was the one who put you through this." Once again, Loki shook his head. "You couldn't know. Stop blaming yourself." "Says you."
That caused the faintest of smiles to dart over the god's face. It didn't last, though.
"Sometimes I wish I could forget, you know. Get rid of all the heartache and pain. Stop getting tortured, but..." He swallowed hard; trying to hold back the tears. "All I have left of her are my memories." In vain. A single tear was running down his cheek and dripping onto the wooden surface of the table. "But I'd rather die than losing my memories of Y/N. It's a curse. A doom loop."
Mobius sighed. "I wish I could help you... Bring her somehow to you, but... I can't." "I know, Mobius... I know..." Silence spread between the two men, but before Loki could fall deeper into the dark hole which was his own mind, the agent decided to get him - like so often out of it.
"Come on," he said; standing up. "Let's keep on working. Still got a lot to do." Loki agreed and stood up as well. They both cleaned up their place and left the cafeteria, in order to keep on working.
Tumblr media
"I see you tomorrow." Loki nodded; giving his friend a faint smile and turned to walk away. "And hey!" The god stopped in his tracks; facing Mobius once more. "Don't think too much. I know it's hard, but... Try it, okay?" "Yeah..." "Good."
Loki's and Mobius' shift had actually ended over an hour ago, but the two worked a bit overtime; keeping Loki distracted and to get some more work done. Now, the god was on his way home, when suddenly B-15 appeared beside Loki.
"Loki."
He stopped; turning to talk to his friend. "Oh, hey B. You good?" She smiled; giving him a nod. "Sure. You, too?" The god faked a smile and nodded. "How's work going?" "Good, but, uh, I'm in a bit of a hurry and... Can you do me a favour?" Anything to distract myself. "Of course, sure. I've got time." Loki shrugged his shoulders and buried his hands in his brown work trousers. "What do you want me to do?"
B-15 held up her TemPad. "Can you bring this to the Repairs & Advancements department?" The god took the TemPad. "Sure. Um, where do I find the department? I think I've never been there."
After B-15 described Loki how he'd get to his next destination, she thanked her friend and left.
Loki headed down several hallways, before he stepped into the elevator; pressing the lowest button. It took the machine a whole while to get him on this very floor. It felt like an eternity for him - but ultimately, the familiar 'ding' tone echoed through the small space and the doors slid open. They revealed a long, high hallway with mint green cabinets lining the right side of the hallway. A lot of different things were stacked on said cabinets.
Loki gazed around; scanning his surroundings. It looked kind of... messy. Chaotic.
Hesitatingly, he stepped out of the elevator and walked cautiously down the hallway. Am I right here? He saw nobody else. Not a single soul. Sure, the lights were on; actually creating a bright and somehow cosy atmosphere, but... Nevertheless was this all a bit creepy. The god kept on walking, until he reached a room. That must be it. Hunter said the first room on the left.
He stepped inside. The room was big, high, utterly chaotic and yet organised. Big kind of racks lined the sidewalls; every shelf filled to the brim. In the middle was a huge oval-shaped counter with several things and stuff laying around on it. Most of them Loki even couldn't name. And whatever it was that hung from the ceiling, Loki had never seen something similar before.
Nobody was to be seen - or well... That's how it seemed. He stepped forward, until he reached the counter - on which stood written in big, black letters: Repairs & Advancements. Must be right, then.
"Hello?"
No answer.
"Hellooo?! Somebody here?!"
Again, Loki received no answer. He waited a few moments; let a few minutes pass - but nothing.
"Why would Hunter send me to this place, if nobody is even here?" Loki said out loud - more to himself; frowning. Shrugging his shoulders, he just placed the TemPad on the counter in front of him and turned to leave - only to completely freeze in motion mere seconds later.
"Wait, wait! I'm here, I'm here! Hello! Don't leave!" A female voice suddenly echoed through the big room; followed by some loud noises. Loki froze in place. He knew that voice. It was all too familiar to him. He didn't hear it in a painfully long time - only in his head; and he thought he'd never hear it again... You. It was your voice.
Loki felt like he was struck by lightning and hit by a truck at the same time. His mind and emotions were running wild. Was this... reality? Could this be true? Or was it again just a cruel illusion? Or by the Norns, did he go mad? Was it all just in his head?
He didn't dare to turn around. Too afraid to be disappointed and heartbroken again, but also curious at the same time; his heart already screaming at him to run to you.
"Apologies! I didn't have a visitor in, uhhh, was it 200 or 300 years... Anyways, please don't go! How can I help you?" There was your voice again. But closer. And Loki couldn't help himself, but to turn around. His head fighting a battle against his heart, which was already lost the moment he heard you call out for the first time.
So, he turned around, slowly; facing the counter once again. His breath hitched in his throat; eyes widening and jaw slacking. Every muscle in his body tensed, but also lost control at the same time.
There you stood, behind the counter with that beautiful kind smile on your face. Your hair was bound together in a messy bun with a few loose strands framing your face. You wore some kind of brown, beige and green overall and looked like a... mechanic?
Tears started to pool in the god's eyes.
"Y-Y/N?" He halfway sobbed; voice hoarse. "A-Are you... Are you real? I-Is this... r-real?"
You frowned; scrunched your nose in the cutest way possible. "I, uh, I think you confuse me with somebody else. My name is Ouroborus, not Y/N - but you can call me O.B."
Loki's facial expression derailed. It felt like getting Hulk-smashed full force - until realisation hit him. She doesn't remember... Of course, she doesn't remember! She's been brainwashed, just like the others.
Loki shook his head frantically, before making quick steps towards you. "No... Your name isn't Ouroborus - and you'll remember me in a few seconds, my love."
You frowned even more and absolutely didn't understand why that strange TVA worker suddenly touched your arm gently. He was gazing into your eyes like you meant the world to him - and you didn't know why. What is wrong with him and why is he so... desperate and shaken?
Shaking your head softly, you pulled your arm away; out of his gentle grasp. "I'm sorry, but, um... Do... Do we know each other?"
Loki's heart fell and shattered into a million pieces at the impact. She can't remember me... Why can't she remember me?! Still!
"W-What?" He breathed out; the tears starting to fall once again. "It can't be..." You could practically feel the desperation radiating off of him. "I-I don't understand, I... W-Why is it not working?"
You watched the strange man pace up and down; ruffling his wild raven curls. What a weird thing to happen... There you were, living your peaceful life, repairing several things the TVA workers send you, with nobody actually visiting you for hundreds of years and suddenly - out of the blue, there was this man and did... that? You honestly couldn't quite believe what was happening in front of your eyes, and yet you felt a wave of... sympathy for him. Compassion.
You got ripped from your thoughts, as you felt two warm, strong hands softly gripping the sides of your upper arms. You blinked, only to realise that the man was leaning over the counter; oceanic blue eyes seemingly staring straight into your soul.
"Y/N, please... Please tell me you can remember...."
He was so close that you were able to actually smell him. Leather; something fresh and fruity you couldn’t point out and a mix of sultry musk and charred wood.
You blinked; softly shaking your head.
"I-I don't, I-"
Loki dropped his hands abruptly with a frustrated, sad sigh and stepped back. His eyebrows slanted, as he lifted his hands to gesture at himself; fingertips literally digging themselves into the clothed flesh of his chest. "It's me, Y/N..."
So slowly, he was frightening you a bit. His sheer maniac frustration. He seemed to be obsessed... with you?
"Sir, I'm really sorry. I-I don't know what happened to you, or the person you are looking for, but I'm asking you to leave now. I'll take a look at that TemPad and send it back as soon as I repaired it."
Loki's body slumped; all hope leaving his body.
Days, weeks, months, years ago, you were so far and unreachable. Now you were so close suddenly, and yet still out of his reach. It wasn't fair.
Loki stumbled backwards, overwhelmed by the whole situation and your request for him to leave.
"I-I'm so sorry... So sorry..." The god mumbled, before literally turning on his heels and running; trying to escape the nightmare he had fallen into. Or was it a dream?
He ran to the elevator, pressing the button quickly; repeatedly - almost as if something was hunting him down. As soon as the doors shut close and the machinery started to move him upwards, Loki pressed himself against the brown wall; breathing heavily. He was completely beside himself; on the verge of losing his mind.
Did that just really happen?
Not knowing what to do, he absent-mindedly stumbled down the hallways of the TVA, until he landed on the doorstep of the little house of his best friend...
His fist hit the wooden door; begging for entrance. "Mobius..." And again. "Mobius, please... Open the door." No minute later, the grey-haired man with the moustache answered the god's pleas and opened up the door.
"Loki?" Mobius asked with a frown; still dressed in the familiar TVA shirt and trousers. His eyes settled on Loki. He saw the tears in his eyes... How puffy and red they were. He could tell that Loki was devastated and... traumatised? It alarmed the agent. He had never seen his friend like that before.
"What happened?!"
A single tear was running down the god's cheek. "She can't remember, Mobius. I-I tried to give her all the memories back, b-but she can't remember... It's not working!"
Loki's words confused Mobius. He hadn't a single clue what this was all about.
"Who, Loki? Who? What are you talking about?"
Loki stared aimlessly into distance; swallowing hard.
"Y/N..."
This confused the agent even more. And he was highly concerned; given the fact that his best friend seemed... disorientated and not quite himself...
Gently grabbing Loki by his shoulder, he urged him to step inside his house. "Come in." The god let himself get 'dragged' inside wordlessly; without any resistance. Mobius guided him to the kitchen; stopping in front of the small dining table and pulling back a chair. "Sit down, take a breath and tell me exactly what happend, okay?" Loki nodded; did what Mobius told him to do and sat down.
Loki needed a moment to sort his thoughts and process what he had just experienced - which wasn't quite easy...
"B-15... She- I met her on my way home after our shift. She asked me if I could bring her TemPad down to the Repairs & Advancements department a-and-" "The Repairs & Advancements department?" "Y-Yes?" Mobius shook his head; visibly trying to think. "I honestly don't know if I was ever down there... Perhaps... Perhaps not... And you went there?" Loki nodded; feeling his emotions get stuck in his throat again. "Yes. I-I found her, Mobius. She's there. S-She-" "Who? Who did you find?" The agent interrupted his friend.
Another tear rolled down the god's cheek; his heart rate picking up at the thought of you. "Y/N... My Y/N..." Mobius' eyes widened. "What?! Y/N? She's there? Here? In the TVA?" Loki nodded; a black curl falling into his face. "Yes, but... She... She can't remember, Mobius. I tried to give her back all the memories, but... It didn't work."
The agent frowned. "What do you mean it didn't work? It worked with everybody here. With every variant. And now you're telling me that Y/N is... immune to it?"
"Yes."
Mobius went silent; answered nothing, and strained Loki's patience with it.
"What am I going to do now, Mobius? I-I can't pretend this never happened. I can't just ignore her! This is the woman I love! My heart, body and soul are yearning for her! I-" "I know, I know," the agent interrupted his friend. "Take a deep breath. We're going to find a way, okay?" Loki nodded; followed his order.
"What if..." Mobius started; thinking. "What if it has something to do with your feelings for her? Could this change something in your magic? I mean... You don't have a past with every other variant here and barely know them, but Y/N is different." Loki shrugged his shoulders; still a bit overwhelmed. "I-I don't know... It shouldn't. After all, it worked with you and Hunter, too - and you are my friends. We do have a past."
Mobius sighed. "Point taken." Loki was right.
"Well, in that case... I currently can't think of another solution than making her fall in love with you again. Perhaps she remembers then."
Loki blinked. "Make her fall in love with me again? You mean... Woo her, take her out on dates and court her properly?" "Exactly."
The god swallowed hard. This was not how he hoped this would go, but what other choice did he have right now?
Tumblr media
Loki needed a few days, until he set foot in the Repairs & Advancements department once again. His brain, but especially his heart had a hard time catching up with what was happening... You were constantly on his mind. All day long - and at night, he saw you in his dreams. It was even worse than before.
Now, he stepped cautiously down the lonely hallway towards you again, taking deep breaths. He decided to best start with an apology - and that was exactly what he wanted to do now.
"H-Hello?" Loki entered the big room. "O...Ouroborus?" It felt so wrong to call you by that name and not your real one. "I, uh, I came here to apologise! I didn't mean to scare you. It's just... I lost somebody who was very important to me and you reminded me of her." You suddenly appeared from behind the counter, smiling softly. "Apology accepted. I'm sorry you lost her. Sounds very hard to lose someone important..." The god swallowed again; noticing how hard it was to keep his feelings at bay and under control.
"It truly is. Again... My apologies." "You're forgiven-, uh... What's your name, actually?" You asked with a bubbly giggle. "Loki." "Well, then... You're forgiven, Loki." His name leaving your lips caused a shiver to run down his spine; butterflies running wild inside his belly.
"Thank you."
From that day on, Loki tried to spent as much time with you as possible, in order to test out Mobius' theory and hoping to make you fall in love with him again. He tried to be his funny, charming, mischievous self - but after a while he had the feeling, that he was not making any progress. He took you on 'date' after 'date' after 'date', but that was it. You'd always talk about work, colleagues and the TVA in general. It was not very often, that the conversations became a lot more personal. Loki really tried everything possible to woo you; always stayed positive and didn't give up hope, but the feeling he had was anything but good - and he should be proven right...
Being the gentleman Loki was, he always accompanied you home after each 'date' and made sure that you arrived safely - just like today.
You stopped in front of the small door, fishing out the keys of your handbag and turned the lock, before turning to face the man again. "Thank you, Loki," you said; giving him a soft smile; which he returned. "No need to thank me, dar- O.B. It's a privilege to accompany your date home." Your smile faltered a bit; almost impossible to see, but Loki caught it anyway. Did I say something wrong?
"Good night, Loki. Thanks for paying dinner." He gave you a court nod, "As I said... Privilege." and paused for a moment.
"Would you... Would you like to come over sometime next week? After work? I-I could cook something for us and we could enjoy the rest of the evening with a glass of wine on the sofa." Loki had never invited you to stay at his - until now, and therefore was he slightly nervous. He couldn't help himself. His heart forced him to make the next move; suffering already way too long. The vital organ felt like a decaying rose since you had re-entered the god's life...
Flowers need water to live - and your love was the water Loki's heart needed.
You swallowed hard; body tensing up visibly. Something shifted within your demeanour. He noticed.
"Loki, that... That's really very kind of you and a sweet idea..." Your words send his heart and hope skyrocketing. Could this be finally the moment I waited such a long time for? Like a fool blinded by love, he didn't notice the hesitant undertone in your voice.
"But, uhm... I'm really sorry to say that, 'cause you've been very generous and kind to me... Uhm... I know you try to impress me. And maybe you feel more than just friendship, but... I don't feel quite the same." You took a deep breath; your words felt like a painfully tight grip around the god's heart.
"You are very nice, but absolutely not the type of men I'm into. I, uh, don't want something romantically with you. Sorry..."
And his heart crumbled to dust underneath your hand; all hope came crashing down. Loki wanted to cry and scream from the agonising pain within his chest - but he didn't. Instead, he just nodded wordlessly. "I-I understand. Thank you for your honesty. Good night," he more or less rushed out, before he turned to quickly walk away, since the tears started to already form in his eyes. He had absolute no intention to break down right in front of you. He'd rather do that at home - and he did.
That night and the few nights which followed, the god more or less cried himself to sleep. The small spark of hope he had carried within his body was gone. Extinguished. Non-existent. Nothing was able to cheer him up. Neither his best friend, nor B-15 - who was shocked to learn that she had send her friend unknowingly back to the love of his life. The Norns knew they tried, but... In vain. Just like Hunter and Mobius had no solution for the memory problem...
Loki stopped visiting you. Took his distance; knowing very well that he couldn't just treat you like a friend.
Tumblr media
Days turned into weeks, but it was the same like before... Loki couldn't forget you and especially his feelings for you. You seemed to follow him everywhere. He often dreamed of you. Almost every night. A thin line between torture and bliss - until one dream changed everything...
A young Loki came to stand beside his mother; the cape of his ceremonial armour gently billowing in the wind. "I can sense your happiness, son," Frigga started; turning her head to look at him. "I take it your attempts to woo Lady Y/N have been successful?"
Loki blushed in the deepest shades of red at his mother's words. "M-Mother, I, um, w-we..." The young prince stumbled over his own words, trying to explain himself, but the Queen only shook her head softly.
"No chance in denying, Loki. I saw the kiss you shared. And besides, I'm neither blind nor stupid. It was only a matter of time. But finally, we got that kiss." She winked - and Loki literally jumped up in his bed; wide awake. The dream triggered another memory, which had been locked deep down somewhere in his brain. His eyes widened.
A kiss...
Perhaps that was what it would take... A kiss.
Loki had remembered a bedtime story which his mother would tell him and Thor, back when they were small kids. Toddlers, perhaps even. The story was called 'Sleeping Beauty' - a Midgardian fairytale, in which a beautiful princess falls into a deep slumber due to an evil magic spell, and the only way to save her is, of course, true love. So, the handsome prince kisses her - and she awakes.
Isn't the TVA exactly the same somehow?
As stupid as it might sounded, Loki had to try. He'd try anything to get you back.
He jumped out of his bed; quickly slipping into his TVA clothes. A look on the watch told him, that he'd have to get up for work soon anyway, so he had some time to get to you, before his shift started. With a snap of his fingers was he ready to leave his small home; teeth brushed, raven locks tamed and body clean. Usually, he didn't use his seidr for this, but today...
Loki was almost running down the seemingly endless corridors of the TVA, before he reached the elevator and only a few moments later the Repairs & Advancements department. Confident and trusting in the brainwave he just had, the god strutted down the last hallway, separating him from you.
Entering the big, familiar room, he looked around; eyes searching you - and to his luck, he indeed found you. You were standing on the left, in front of the huge shelf, inspecting some... device. Not beating around the bush - and not losing any more precious time, he quickly stepped over to you.
You were deep in thoughts; focused on your work and task ahead. Once the approaching steps had gotten from your ears to your brain, it was already too late.
Being suddenly yanked into someone's arms caused a yelp to escape your lips. "Loki?!" You squeaked with eyes wide open; caught like a deer in the headlights. "What by the Timekeepers are you doing?! Let go of me! I told you I am not-"
The god had heard enough. Before you were able to protest more, he leaned in and captured your lips with his; pouring all his love for you in the kiss.
While Loki relished in the feeling of your soft lips after such a long time, you were shocked. Appalled. You told him he wasn't your type and yet he makes a move on you? How rude... You wanted to push him away and ask him what the fuck he thought he is doing.
You had already lifted your hands; ready to shove him away, when it happened... Your brain felt suddenly like it was about to explode; a dam on the verge of breaking - and it did. Memories exploded within your head like fireworks... Asgard. Your childhood. Your parents. The first time you saw Loki. The first words you exchanged. The beautiful friendship you had shared with him, which melted into your first kiss. You remembered. How he had made love to you for the first time. Every dance and laugh you shared. His proposal. Everything.
You felt relieved; free. It was like the fog in your brain had finally lifted and you could think clear again. You could finally see him.
Your heart threatened to burst from the sudden rush of happiness and love you felt. You had lost Loki, landed in the TVA, were forced to forget him - and suddenly... He was right in front of you.
But then you felt how Loki wanted to break the kiss again - something you couldn't allow him to do. Before he could part his lips from yours, you pulled him quickly back in; literally throwing yourself into his arms. Unbeknownst to you, flew the god's eyes open and widened to the size of plates at your movement. Surprised and shocked, he gave into the kiss; just enjoying the moment - until he had to take a breath.
Deep Y/E/C eyes gazed into his; a teary smile on your face. You slowly lifted your hands to cup his chiselled cheeks; feeling his skin underneath your fingertips after such a long time, sending shivers down your spine. "Loki..."
His name leaving your lips caused his heart to skip a beat, as realisation hit him.
"You remember me?"
You nodded quickly; running a hand gently through his raven curls.
Tears spilled from Loki's eyes like waterfalls as he lifted you up into his arms; spinning you in a circle. You yelped up in surprise, but giggled almost deliriously; wrapping your arms around his neck.
"At last, I finally have you back, my love. I'm so sorry it took me so long to find a way back to you, I should have-" You shook your head; shushing him. "Shhh, my prince. Not now. Don't blame yourself." You pressed your forehead against his. "We have a lot to catch up to, but... Let us enjoy this moment, please. Just... hold me. Let me feel your touch. I've been starving for way too long."
How could Loki possibly refuse your request? He smiled through his tears and wrapped you up securely in his arms; kissing you slow and tender.
Tumblr media
"Hey, C-4, have you seen Lo- Oh my goodness. Am I dreaming?" Both, Mobius and the other TVA worker were staring at the end of the hallway. C-4 in confusion and Mobius in shock. "I, uh, don't know? What do you mean exactly, Mobi-" Clapping his fellow co-worker absent-mindedly on the shoulder; eyes fixated on what was happening in front of him, he moved on. "Thanks, C-4. I got this."
You and Loki walked towards Mobius; smiling brightly. Loki had slipped his fingers through yours, holding your hand tightly. Stopping halfway to wait for for his friend, the god couldn't help but to pull you into a gentle kiss, causing you to giggle.
"Loki?" Mobius asked; still not quite believing what his eyes saw. "Am I dreaming this? Is that..." He gestures towards you. Loki chuckled, nodding. "Y/N, yes... My Y/N." His friend smiled. "So... She can finally remember? She has her memories back?" He nodded again; feeling how a lump formed in his throat once more. Happy tears were ready to fall.
"Yes... Finally, she remembers." Loki turned to you. "Darling, this is Mobius. He's my best friend." You smiled at the man opposite of you, stretching out your hand. "Very happy to meet you, Mobius. I'd introduce myself, but I guess my man here did that already, so..." Mobius returned the smile; shaking your hand. "In all those years, the one thing he loved to talk about, was you. It was really sweet." You giggled at his words; seeing Loki blush.
"How did you get her to remember? I thought you couldn't?" Mobius asked, after swallowing the piece of cake. He had invited you to eat a slice of cake together, catching up a bit.
Both, you and Loki smiled lovingly at each other; hands still intertwined. You just couldn't leave your hands off of him - just like Loki couldn't leave his hands off of you. "Well..." You started. "He's my prince. And just like a prince, he kissed me awake." "Because I am your true love." "Just like I am yours."
Mobius' eyes widened. "What? Like in that fairytale? What was its name again?" "Sleeping Beauty," said Loki with a smile. "Yes! That's the one." His friend nodded.
"Exactly like that, Mobius. I kissed her awake - and now she's mine again."

I wanted to find and gather some lesser appreciated Mobius moments from S1, and some thoughts occurred to me.
Tumblr media
When we see Mobius drill into Loki about his choices, his thought patterns, whether or not he enjoys hurting people, Mobius comes down on Loki HARD, cruelly, goading, and manipulating (Sound familiar? Just wait...). He does so in a way that's confident he will get the answers he expects from Loki, which he does.
When we cut to the scenes with Renslayer, Mobius's truer, gentler side appears. The side that is kind and soft and believes in second chances. Notice, also, the difference in lighting between these scenes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then it hit me:
Mobius was using a carefully constructed persona--an illusion--with Loki to control the situation and get Loki into the headspace of self-reflection. He uses the very same technique Loki uses regularly to get the outcome that is beneficial for both of them.
Genius, really.
As we move into S1E2 and E3, the power dynamics are decidedly uneven, but once they are out in the field, Mobius's actual power and control over Loki is quite limited and actually banks on a LOT of faith. A ridiculous amount of faith, to be honest. Despite logical misgivings, Mobius makes a POINT of giving Loki freedom and trust because he has analyzed Loki enough to know that lack of trust perpetuates a destructive self-fulfilling prophecy.
Tumblr media
So when Loki chooses to escape with Sylvie, all those centuries of belief and good will Mobius invested in him were thrown in his face. He's understandably furious, but the interrogation scene after both Lokis are captured simply does not read as normal without the additional lens of jealousy. If Mobius were not emotionally compromised in some way, he would have handled the interrogation clinically, and he would have sent Loki to be pruned without a thought.
Mobius doesn't do either of those things. Rather than asking Loki objective questions, he focuses on Loki's attention on Sylvie and verbally twists the knife where he can. His punishment for Loki after the interrogation is shockingly personal:
Tumblr media
A word about the Sif loop scene: I really, REALLY hated that Mobius did that. It honestly made my gut churn. I think the writers tried to play it off for laughs because Loki gets kicked in the balls repeatedly, but the emotional undercurrent of Sif's words and everything that it means is just awful.
That said, I understand that this scene reveals not only Loki's vulnerability but ALSO Mobius's. This is a "passionate diagreement" through proxy. Mobius knows what would hurt Loki the most psychologically. But why would Mobius choose to hurt him this severely with these specific words?
Remember, this might be a memory, but Mobius is choosing to speak his feelings to Loki through Sif.
I think the answer is 4-pronged: First, Mobius put his career, reputation, and friendship with Ravonna on the line for Loki. The stress of the potential repercussions (which were HIGH) should Loki betray him was a constant heat on his neck. Despite this, Mobius chooses the riskier route of believing Loki would not betray his trust. And yes, within the context of what Mobius has done to advocate for Loki and what's at stake for Mobius should he fail, Loki absolutely betrays him.
Second, Loki told Mobius everything he believed about the TVA and his place in the multiverse is a lie. When was the last time Mobius reacted so violently?
Tumblr media
When Brad called him a "nowhere man".
Mind, there is guilt beneath this anger. Not only has everything Mobius believed in been revealed as a lie, it is revealed he was complicit in the genocide of multiple timelines for which there was never any ultimate good. YIKES. That's a lot to take in, and Mobius at his core is a deeply empathetic person. The guilt of this horror, at his hands, is probably why Mobius does not defend himself when Sylvie tears him a new one in S2E4.
Three, I think Mobius may have wished for a friendship with Loki long before his intervention. I've written elsewhere that his intervention appears to be premeditated. Mobius was only waiting for his chance to come along. Who knows how many centuries that took. I believe he may have rationalized away his emotional attachment as a means to help the TVA succeed. Mobius is adept at suppressing not only his emotions but his wants.
Four, by S1E3, Mobius came to love Loki to some degree, platonic or otherwise. I think it's very difficult to not develop love for someone or something you've been tasked to be an expert on. Having Loki actually beside him, engaging with him over lunch and work, no doubt added some much needed color in Mobius's life. It's hard not to become infatuated with someone fun and exciting.
The jealous rage that overwhelms Mobius doesn't last long. When it comes down to it, Mobius can't help but believe in Loki. Doubt in the TVA takes root once his immediate anger dissipates. So Mobius steals Ravonna's TemPad, verifies Loki's claims, and immediately self-corrects. Mobius could have dug his heels in with more denial, but he doesn't. Why? Because Mobius ultimately cares more about Loki than himself.
Tumblr media
When Mobius returns to Loki, he asks a few other questions that I can't share images for because of the 10-image limit. Those other questions include but are not limited to:
Do you care about Sylvie?
Do you really believe you deserve to be alone?
I should point out these questions are not at all tied to the well-being of the TVA or the multiverse. They are specifically tied to Loki's well-being. Loki's happinness.
Why does Mobius ask these questions? Because, in my opinion, Mobius was preparing himself to let Loki go, be with who he wants to be with (Sylvie), and fight the battle he wants to fight. Mobius will not be the obstruction to Loki's path to personal success even if that means letting go of the TVA, letting go of Ravonna, letting go of Loki himself.
Tumblr media
All of this is a selfless act of love. What kind of love that is is up to the viewer, but it is very much there. It's real and integral to the story.
Classic Loki points out that this is a high cost. In response, Mobius takes the crux of his belief in Loki and directs it to himself.
Tumblr media
The beauty of the goodbye scene in S1S6 is that the emotional thrust of selfless love is echoed and amplified in Loki's own self-sacrifice in S2E6. Loki lets go of the TVA, lets go of Sylvie, lets go of Mobius himself. Ouroboros.

Note
Hi! So at the end of Loki how he becomes part of the multiverse tree and everything resets. but what if the reader still remembers Loki so she goes to look for him and try to give him a happy ending.
It's so sad because Loki should have a happy ending and seeing what happens in the finale of the show I would like to see him not end up alone.🥺
A/n: I WILL GIVE LOKI HIS HAPPY ENDING, p.S…Wanda is also alive cause I said so. So yea obviously I changed a lotttt of things.
Side note: was gonna make Sylvie switch places for Loki’s but I didn’t want to be called stupid 😂. But if you want it as an alt end then I’ll write it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn’t understand, you couldn’t understand why people couldn’t remember him. Why? Mobius,Sylvie, not one of them remembered Loki.
You refused to believe this, he couldn’t be gone, you had to do something, you had to fix this. Ignoring Mobius calling out your name, you were determined to find him, you will save Loki and you had to go to the one person that would help, the one person that could help.
Wanda
Your heart hammered as you came upon the home, the same little house you had found for the woman, one reality where she can finally be happy. You just hoped she would remember her love. You hoped that what ever Loki had done hadn’t reset this life.
Taking a deep breath, you made your way to the door. Your hand knocking on the door though relief flooded your body when the woman said your name, her head tilted to the side.
“You remember me?! Oh thank god…Wanda I need your help?”
Wrinkling her nose Wanda stepped side letting you come into her home. “Why wouldn’t I remember….what’s wrong?”
Patting your lips you ran you nervously bit your lip as you started explain everything to your friend. “And now he’s stuck in the Loom and nobody remembers him but us and he’s alone and I can’t.” Shaking your head you grasped the edge of your shirt. “Please Wanda! You’re the only one that can help me.”
Wanda hated seeing you like this, you were one of the kindest people she knew. You were the only one that helped her, the believed in her. Glancing over her shoulder, she nodded her head as she grasped your hand gently. “Of course, let’s just find a place that’s not my front yard.”
Giving one last look at her family she tugged you to her car. While she knew what this would mean, she was grateful for your friendship.
Stepping through the portal, you glanced over your shoulder spotting the woman struggling to keep it open. “It’s okay Wanda you can let go.”
Tears sliding down her cheeks, Brooke gave you a weak smile. “I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll miss you too, and thank you.” Turning away from the closing portal you took a deep breath taking a glance at your surroundings. Did he really subject himself to this? It felt so lonely here, so isolated.
You didn’t care if people will forget you, it didn’t matter because you would have Loki, he wouldn’t be alone anymore.
A smile formed on your lips as you spotted the man sitting on a thorn. The once heart broken look on his face was replaced with a look of disbelief, your name spilling from his lips.
“It’s can’t, this must be a cruel joke.” This bad to be some illusion, something is mind made up to push back the loneliness he felt.
Giving him a teasing smile you stepped forward kneeling down in front of him. Your hands grasping his gently. “I’m not very good at jokes but I can assure you that I am very real.”
Clutching your hand tightly he was afraid that if he let go than you’d just vanish. “You must go back you can’t-.”
Placing your hand on his cheek, you let your thumb glide across his skin. “Well, it’s a bit to late for that now.” You then pressed a kiss to the corner of his lips then smiled resting your head against his feeling Loki draw you in close. “So now you’re going to have to put up with me.”
“Thank you.” Loki whispered holding you tight, hr might be stuck protecting all the time lines but at least he wasn’t alone anymore.
At least he had you.

“I love you…”
Tumblr media
Content: Angst, no fluff. Also gender neutral reader!
Summary: Sometimes, love can be bittersweet. (Y/N) learns that firsthand.
Spoilers for S2 finale!!
‘I love you’ were words that filled you with joy, the smile and the fleeting feeling of your blood rushing through your cheeks.
To see his smile, his cheekbones adjust with his big grin as he held you close. Interlocked hands sealing the close knit bond. It was clear you both were dear to wach other’s hearts.
“I love you Loki,” you said your voice soft and low for only him to hear.
You two were on the balcony of his room in Asgard long ago, up when even the gods and the mighty slept.
He chuckled kissing your cheek, “I love you too my dear.” He said with a smile.
You were oh so close to him, throughout it all. No matter what he did- what chaos, destruction, or shame he brought upon himself or others you always stayed.
From when he tried to take over the mortal realm to when he faked his death.
You held his hand in pride.
Even when he dragged you into the tomfoolery of the TVA on accident, he used a tempad to see you. Even with Mobius yelling after him, running at some point to catch him.
Loki hugged you, embracing you tightly and close to his chest with a kiss so tender and loving it made your heart whirl.
“I love you,” he said with a smile on his face again.
“I love you too.” You responded quickly, even though you had to deal with Mobius right after.
But he hopped through time to see you, one last time, one more time.
You were stroking his hair gently through your fingers, as he was lying on your lap at the end of time. Your beautiful face, every part of your body he loved.
Every edge, every line, how your face contours. He put a hand on your cheek, his eyes began to water as he realized his resolve.
-
“I love you.” He said with a frown and tears dripping down.
“I love you so much more than you could ever know… It will be my greatest regret to never be able to marry you. But now, you’ll be able to never worry on living another day to marry…”
You were speechless as you tried slamming or banging the door open, searching for a way to open the door.
“I know what kind of god I need to be, for you… For all of us.” He smiled, ever so bittersweetly as he walked out to brave the loom.
You were in shock, your body could not move- it shut down completely your legs hitting the floor and your eyes watering and pouring like a faucet.
Even after when it was all over and the deed was done, being brought back to New Asgard.
You cried to yourself shutting yourself in and weeping, mourning the love you still have. But will never see again.
Loki saw your pain through Yggdrasil, he shed a tear, he never wanted to put you through that much pain. He wanted to make you grin, laugh, and dance. He felt awful, but it was either this or never you having the chance to laugh again.
And that is something he could’ve never risked.

Jet-Skiing through identity: A deep dive into Mobius M. Mobius (part 4)🛥️
"And I'm yours but you're not mine" (Say Don't Go)
That's Mobius in season 1, because from all we know, he was the one to fall first. A fall that, just like domino pieces, results in a beautiful union of...well, everything.
But now, in season 2, his love is finally reciprocated. He showed Loki something they hadn't seen in themselves. And not only he loved them, but proved to Loki why they're deserving of that love as well. And now that he is finally appreciated and seen by the last person he was expecting, he also gets the insight he never knew he was looking for. This is like always running from something right into the chasm, until someone takes your hand and makes you stop. Even if it means facing your fears.
Open first episode of season 2, when the entire Loki legion was on the verge of a heart attack waiting to see what will happen. (That's actually me, I think I'm not alone). Those were crazy times indeed. Now, to our Mobius: a relative present version of him, not the one that didn't recognize Loki. That was scary. His first line is:
<<Hey, everything you've been doing is wrong, and all your gods are dead. How are people gonna take that?>>
I interpret this as his own thoughts and feelings projected on the collective. It's true for them, but it's relatable to Mobius.
And after all, why would everyone at the TVA believe all this time? The same reason as why we do it: we want to: that's where it all starts. And for someone like Mobius, who didn't believe in himself, it was much more logical to believe in the time gods. Putting the blame on fate takes the burden off your shoulders. But no burden, no glory. Few of them had guts to admit. But even indirectly, Mobius did (and has been for a while).
Backing the argument that he cares about Loki, and that he fell first, his reaction to hearing his name from Casey is immaculate.
Tumblr media
He immediately tries to figure out a way to locate him. He might take a more "slow, deliberate approach", but not when he knows people he cares about are in danger. Not when he can still help.
Then, to X-5's attempt to make him feel bad about his spot on the original timeline, he responds with a neutral approach, not letting such things get to him. He even goes to explaining why jet-skis are so cool. This is something that shows how passionate Mobius can be about the things he likes. I don't think he would do this if he wouldn't be provoked in some sort of way, because the total absence of interest from others can kill a spark pretty quick. But he doesn't let it go just because no one around him sees jet-skis as important as he does. I love him for it.
His pure care for Loki and the way he comforts them the best he can is also very important in this episode. Mobius does his best to calm Loki down, trying to see the situation from an outside point of view so it can be solved efficiently. He's there, he doesn't let Loki down, and we know he would never; "Okay, you wanted time to think, so let's think." - as in let's think together, you're not alone.
Tumblr media
Also, when Loki rushes to find Sylvie so they can fix what is happening, Mobius slows him down. He knows Loki wouldn't take the time to take care of themselves, so he does it for him, knowing exactly how much to insist, and that the timeslipping can't be let out if control for a long while.
Another trait resulting from the episode is sort of a disapproval avoidance, from the convo with O.B. Mobius obviously had his memory wiped and doesn't remember him, but doesn't admit it: it could hurt this nice guy and make him look like a fool (it wouldn't, really. he didn't have to worry abt it).
Then, at the end of the episode, this care (LOVE!!!) he carries for Loki is once again is highlighted:
Tumblr media
Because, even at the risk of losing his skin (and, jokes aside, losing his life), Mobius still waits over the limit for Loki to make it back. What was I saying about believing? Even if the gods of the TVA are dead, the God of Mischief isn't. And Mobius always believed in him.

Not my Loki
POV: You were in a (some what complicated) relationship with Sylvie. Due to being on the run from the TVA, you both got split up over different timelines. You tried pretending you were a hunter for the TVA so you’d be put on missions to help find her but your long term goal of returning to her side is knocked off its path as you start to fall for another Loki variant that was drafted in to help track down Sylvie also.
Tumblr media
Möbius was sure this time, surer than sure that Sylvie was last spotted in 1977 London.
You had been through the 3rd time-jump door this evening alone, things were getting exhausting on this mission to find Sylvie but you promised yourself you’d never give up.
Walking the cobbled streets of London right now, you shuddered slightly at the cold.
“Can I offer you my jacket?” Loki was right beside you now after slowing his pace to drop back from Mobius.
You smiled warily, he was always so kind to you since the moment you had met.
Saving you from the bullying tactics of Renslayer on your very first day.
He was pretty much the sole reason why you were working so closely with Mobius and B15 now on the mission to track Sylvie.
“I’m not sure it’ll quite fit over this armour” you looked up at him now as you both walked down another alley, following the other two.
Loki looked off into the distance, feeling slightly awkward.
He’d always liked you since the moment you had met.
He couldn’t quite explain the pull he had towards you, but you had always felt like ‘home’ to him.
He was forever grateful for your help in trying to locate Sylvie, he was in awe at how much you cared to find her but he didn’t know the real reason why.
Möbius intuition was right.
Sylvie was here.
Her face was like some sort of lost puppy as you clocked eyes together down that dead-end alleyway.
You wanted to run to her.
Embrace her in your arms.
Run off together in the London fog but it felt like she tore your heart right out of your chest when she shouted at you.
“Stop trying to find me y/n!”
“It’s not going to work” were her last words before stepping through another time jump door.
They cut like a knife.
Deep.
As the blade felt colder than the London night air that was now nipping away at your face as your tears ran down it.
Möbius and B15 only just catching up to you as the orange glow from the door disappeared fully.
“Argh so close!!” B15 threw her helmet down on the street in frustration.
“Did you get a reading on where she jumped to??” Möbius asked Loki but he hardly heard him speak.
He was fixated on you. He couldn’t believe what he saw, what he heard.
You and Sylvie.
You were ready to risk it all.
You wanted to jump through that door with her, he could see it in your eyes.
Those eyes that lit up when they laid upon Sylvie, he knew that look as his eyes did the same.
You were in love with her as much as he was in love with her.
***
You couldn’t possibly sleep.
Mobius told you all get some rest as another timeline jump has been a failure.
But all you kept seeing when you shut your eyes was her.
How could she do this.
You promised each other no matter what you’d stick together.
Yes your situation had its difficulties but you were happy to jump from timeline to timeline, live different lives week after week.
It was exciting.
Was…
You were so lost in your thoughts you didn’t realise Loki had joined you where you were sat now in the canteen.
The squeaking of the chairs metal leg on the tiled floor pulled you out of your daydream.
“We need to talk” Loki says matter of factly as you stand from your chair now.
“No we don’t” you really didn’t want to get into this right now.
You weren’t sure just how much he knew.
If he heard anything you and Sylvie said to one another.
He grabs you by your arm as you look down at him.
His eyes almost begging you to sit back down.
You feel something in the pit of your stomach as you return to your chair, sighing out loud so he would know the inconvenience.
Loki looks around the almost empty canteen. Time worked differently here at the TVA so there was no set meal times but, much to his relief, right now was quiet.
“What’s the deal?” He practiced this conversation a few times in his head on the way to see you but now he’s lost for words.
You look at the floor and shrug.
“Y/n?…” he voice sounded desperate as you look up to his eyes now.
Usually they were curled up around his iconic smile but right now they were filled with sadness.
You swallowed hard as the look reminded you of Sylvie’s.
“Deal with what?” You snap back. Putting your guard up.
“You and…” Loki cuts off as another TVA personnel walks past your table, they nod their hello as you both fake a smile at them.
“There’s nothing to say Loki” you stop him from saying her name.
“But…what she said, the way she…looked at you” Loki lowers his voice to a whisper.
You cross your arms.
You really didn’t want to speak about it.
Especially to him.
He watched as you clenched your teeth together.
The muscles twitching alongside your jaw.
He often thought about having his mouth move along that delicate skin of yours, planting kisses down that same jawline.
Trailing them along your neck and…
He coughs, bringing his thoughts to a stop.
You look at him.
“There was… something” you emphasised on the something for use of a better word.
“But now there isn’t so…let’s drop it!” You smile at him but he knows it’s fake.
He almost lets out a laugh as it’s his turn to cross his arms over his chest.
“And you didn’t want to say before because..”he tilts his head at you as you furrow your eyebrows at him.
“Seriously??” You say a little too loudly as a few other workers look up from their lunches.
“What did you want me to say??” You whisper now.
“I’m really working undercover. I’m not a hunter. This is just an elaborate and desperate way of getting back too…”
Loki full on chuckles now causing you to cut off mid sentence.
“I meant…what about…us?” You chew your bottom lip, causing him to lose the amusement from his face.
“Is there an…us?” He asks you now as you look away.
You both sit in silence for a while, not knowing what to say.
Yes, there had been times where you and Loki shared moments.
Tighter hugs, lingering kisses on the cheeks or foreheads, you did flirt outrageously with him but most of the TVA staff did, it was the affect he had on others.
You never knew there was something growing on his side though, just assumed he was being normal ‘protective’ Loki.
Now as he stares at the ground out of embarrassment you realise it was a little more than that.
But what is it to be now?
Is Loki going to tell Mobius the truth about you?
You’d get kicked off the hunting team for sure but what will they do to you knowing you had been playing them all this time?
Prune you?
You shudder at the thought.
“Look…” Loki reaches out to touch your hand resting on the table but thinks better of it and starts tapping his fingers against the shiny surface instead.
“I won’t tell anyone about, you know” he says to you as you guess wether or not he’s been reading your thoughts. If he could even do that.
“But we do need to find Sylvie”
“She doesn’t want to be found” your voice waivers slightly as you process your words.
“By you..” Loki says as you look at him in surprise at his outburst.
Suppose it was justified.
“But we still need to find her…the TVA does. We need to know what comes next…with he who remains and the branched timelines and…” Loki starts to word vomit as you watch his face.
He’s always been determined on finding Sylvie.
The whole team has but as he tells you these reasons why you see past them all.
You saw how his face dropped as you both watched Sylvie step through that time-jump door.
“You liked her too?” You say quietly to yourself as he stops mid conversation.
“What?!” He spluttered out.
“Sylvie…” you look up at him as you see his eyes close in realisation that you figured it out.
***
Beepbeepbeep
The alarm blasting through the speakers above were draining on your ears.
You were in the locker room, gearing up.
Loki had kept his promise of not telling a soul.
You hadn’t worked out if it was a good or bad thing.
Good because, no pruning, yay!
But bad because it meant when that klaxon sounded, you were still pretty much a hunter and had to answer it.
You would avoid Loki on a mission.
He’d obviously be there for updates and instructions but where as before you’d be laughing and working closely together, right now it was awkward.
You both were obsessed with the same woman.
That was complex enough but when you also had feelings for one another, it was too much to even think about.
“Alabama 1982…” B15 was reeling off the details of this mission as you both marched down the corridor to Möbius and Loki waiting by the time jump door.
“Sylvie was last spotted by one of our locaters working in a…McDonald’s? A restaurant it looks like. In a town in Alabama” your mind casts back to how you both would love a McDonald’s date.
Cheap food, made even cheaper the further back in time you would travel.
It was so cool to watch how it evolved over time.
What was weird was that she was ‘working’ in one but you had given up trying to guess her plans.
Seeing as you weren’t in them anymore.
“Remember suspect is highly dangerous and in no doubt armed” Mobius voice almost drowns out as he gives his usual heads up before a mission.
You pull your helmet down further over your face as you cover the bottom half with the scarf.
You could feel Loki’s eyes on you the whole time as all 4 of you step through the door.
The orange flow from the time-jump door disappears into thin air as you take in your surroundings.
You were in a field, must of been the middle of the day as the sun beating down on you from above started heating up your armour.
You and B15 start to trudge through the long grass towards the yellow M sign of McDonald’s.
You feel Loki staring at the back of your head as he tries to work out what your motives are now Sylvie no longer wants you to rescue her.
What will you do if she is inside this restaurant.
Abandon the mission.
Help her escape.
Fight her perhaps?
He couldn’t work you out and that scared him.
You reached the car park of the restaurant now.
Mobius and B15 in low hushed voices as they planned 2 would go in the front and 2 round the back.
You squinted in the sunshine.
Deep in your thoughts.
Loki stands next to you now.
“Looks like we’re going through the front” he tells you not looking at you.
“This doesn’t feel right” you cut him off.
“Look, I know it’s far from ideal still doing what we are doing but we need to see the bigger picture here. Find Sylvie, locate he who remains and…”
“I mean this” you gesture to the almost full car park of this McDonalds, it was only a small restaurant on the out skirts of the town but it should of been buzzing inside going by the many vehicles parked up.
Meaning the restaurant should have been full also.
But you couldn’t hear a word from inside.
“An ambush?” Loki sounded worried now, working out where your thoughts were going.
“Guys, what’s up? We going in or?” B15 was always wanting to spring into action but you weren’t 100% convinced this was a normal set up.
“It’s too quiet” you tell her.
“Hmm you’re right…” Mobius sighs out as he pulls out a time pad from his pocket, putting in the co-orindates for the TVA, just in case you needed a quick exit.
You and B15 both pull out your time sticks.
Holding them up close to your chest you step inside.
Loki holds his breath as he hates watching you have to go in head on first.
The strategy was always you and B15 going in armed to see if the coast was clear, you’d both call back either it was or he’d hear the shouts from you as you stepped into a fight but this time there was nothing.
Worried and going completely against protocol, he swings open the door but isn’t prepared for the scene that was before.
You were ok, was his first sight.
Then he looked around, following your eye of vision as he laid his eyes upon every diner and worker that was inside slumped over on the tables, sprawled across the floor.
All fell after what seems to be a puncture wound or 5, their blood oozing out onto the shiny tiled floor.
“Oh my…” Mobius voice sounded choked making you look up at the both of them stood in the door way.
B15 almost gagged when she kicked over a fallen man to reveal a stab wound in his eye.
“This is…a massacre” she whispered out as you walked towards the counter, stepping  carefully over a young man that was against the serving table.
“How could she…” Mobius now sounded lost for words as you look up at him.
“You think Sylvie did this?!” You snap.
B15 scoffs.
“Who the hell else?!” She shouts.
“It’s not Sylvie….” You say but your voice trials off.
Your eyes find Loki’s as he tries to work you out.
He’s seen some horrible things whilst on this TVA journey of his.
And in his many years of life before it.
It was always common grounds for the loved ones to not believe what evil their spouses or family members were capable of but he could see it in your face.
He believed you.
This wasn’t Sylvie.
It definitely wasn’t her style.
You turn to face the counter once more, feeling tears start to sting your eyes as your brain whirls around.
If this wasn’t Sylvie then who was it.
Who could commit such a horrific act inside this sleepy towns McDonalds.
You place your time stick down on the counter as you feel your arms start to shake.
Both with anger and of worry.
Was Sylvie alright?!
You lean against the tills now, your head dropping low as many what ifs circle your mind.
But as you glance downwards you see an arm raising up towards your face.
You feel the pain before you can even react to move out the way as a fist comes crashing down on your face.
You cry out as you stumble backwards slightly from the blow.
The mysterious person springs up from their hiding place holding a small pistol.
You go to shout to the others to take cover but your voice is turned into a scream as the searing  pain flies through your shoulder.
It feels hot, so hot.
As your head cracks on the tiled floor, your helmet luckily taking the brunt of it.
Everything seems to move slow motion as just when shooter fires his shot, he’s thrown backwards into the shelving area by Loki’s magic as B15 runs toward him, time stick raised.
You try to lift your head to see if she had gotten him but it hurts.
The throbbing of your split lip and definitely fractured cheekbone competes with the searing pain in your shoulder.
“She’s been hit Mobius!! She’s been hit!” Loki’s voice sounded so scared as you bring your good arm up to apply some sort of pressure on your wound.
“I got her!!” Mobius was stood above you now.
“Help B15!!” He shouts at Loki as you’re not even sure where he was right now.
Mobius drags you to sit upright against the back of the chair.
You cry out at the pain shooting across your arm and face.
“Medi kit?!” Mobius barks at you as you lift one of your hips up slightly, revealing the small first aid box that was strapped to the thigh of every Hunter in the TVA.
He wastes no time at grabbing the pain relief shot, ordering you to bite down into the plastic coating as he pops it into your mouth.
The sour taste of the medicine bursting and making its way into your blood system causes you to gag.
You never actually had to take one before and thankfully as it was the most disgusting thing.
Using the small pocket knife you had on your utility belt, Möbius cuts open your sleeve to where the bullet had penetrated your skin.
“This is going to hurt” he quickly tells you before shoving two fingers into your wound.
You want to scream but you’re cut off by hearing another man’s scream.
You glance up to see where it came from as you spot Loki walking towards you all smug.
“How am I supposed to cuff him when you’ve just snapped his arm?!” B15 calls out as you smile faintly at him.
Loki’s smile quickly disappears when he sees your bloodied lip and bruising appearing on your pretty face.
“You ok?” He almost can’t talk as you bite your already swollen lip to stop yourself from crying out.
After confirming the bullet had come back out, Mobius applies the quick fill gel you had in your medi kit to close up the wound.
It was only a temporary fix while those that were injured, got to the medical bay back at the TVA without bleeding out.
“I’ll kill him” Loki told you matter of factly as Möbius rolls his eyes at him.
“Kill our only suspect and lead to get to Sylvie?” He says as he shakes his head at the god of mischief being so dramatic.
“It’s only a scratch” he smiles at you trying to cheer you up.
You cough as he makes you laugh.
“Come on, we need to get him detained” he says as B15 walks over to you all, dragging the shooter behind her “and you, to a medical bay” he places a hand on your shoulder, you wince as he apologies for touching you in that one area.
Loki snakes an arm around the back of you as his other lifts you by your legs.
“What…what are you doing??” You splutter out.
“I was… going to carry you” he says as if it was the most obvious thing.
“I can walk” you tell him, avoiding his eye contact as you feel your cheeks heat up at the way he clutches you so close to his chest.
“Ok” he sighs out as he lowers your feet back onto the floor.
“But I’m holding you up” he tells you as he keeps the arm he had placed round your back.
You don’t realise how much you needed his help as you practically leaned against his body the whole way through the jump door and onto the bed the nurses had waiting for you back at the TVA.
***
The heaviness of your eyes were too much to fight. You felt yourself slipping into a dream as you laid on the hospital bed.
The medical facilities the TVA had always blew your mind.
So clever and so advance yet it was still the same old few stitches in your arm and a cold compress on your face what the doctor had ordered.
At least you felt next to no pain now.
“I’m sorry…” Loki lures you from your slumber but you keep your eyes shut.
“…I didn’t realise you were sleeping, ill, I’ll come back later” the shyness in his voice causes you to open your eyes slowly.
“I’m awake” you smile weakly as you sit up.
“What are you doing? Lay back down” Loki stands next the bed now as he fluffs the pillow a few times.
“I’m fine Loki” you laugh at him.
“Are you?” He asks.
“I mean, minus the hole in my arm and the smashed up face, yeah” you joke but he doesn’t laugh.
“Y/N I’m sorry, i didn’t react in time, I wasn’t quick enough, it just happened so quickly, I, I panicked” he starts mumbling but you reach out for his hand with your un bandaged one.
“Don’t be silly Loki, no one would have known what was going to happen…we got him, that’s the important part….” You squeeze his hand now.
“He is still alive right?” You smile up at him as he avoided your gaze.
“You didn’t kill him did you?” You say as he looks up at you.
“No” he smiles now “I wanted to…still do” he says not letting go of your hand.
You both stay with your fingers entwined with each other, you don’t find it as awkward as you would have before when you would accidentally brush past each other.
Loki stares at your split lip, the wound had closed up but it was still red and swollen.
Trailing his eyes up the the bruising of your cheeks, he has a different set of emotions now.
It infuriates him that you were so hurt, he feels like taking you into his arms, wrapping himself around to you protect you from this.
To promise you he’ll never let anyone hurt you again.
He seems to be lost in his thoughts as he doesn’t realise you had asked him a question but instead of asking you to repeat it, he places his lips on yours.
You take a fair few seconds to catch on what was happening right now.
Was he kissing you?
There wasn’t much movement in this kiss, it was more your lips were just pressed together but as you close your eyes to be lost to it, he darts his tongue out.
You weren’t too sure that you should kiss him back but once he added his tongue to the mix, you shredded any doubts and mimicked his movements.
Your lips stung as your cheekbones throbbed under the force of Loki’s mouth on you but you didn’t care.
He places a hand behind the back of your head, holding you in place as he kisses you deeper.
Your one free hand goes to rest on the waistband of his trousers as you indistinctly pull him in closer to you.
The urgency in you causes him groan into your mouth as your thoughts race to having him devour you right here on the hospital bed.
“A-hem!” The sound of B15 clearing her throat cause your eyes to fly open in fear.
You almost push Loki away from you as he sighs out his frustration at being stopped.
“Möbius is about to interrogate the guy from the restaurant…” she tells you both looking at you more than Loki.
You nod as you had no words.
“If you’re not too other wise occupied?” She looks at Loki now as he exhales a laugh.
She turns on her heels and walks out the medical bay, you feel a long ass lecture is coming your way from your counterpart.
Adjusting his belt buckle and straightening his jacket slightly, Loki watches you as you jump down from the edge the bed.
You shuffle your boots back on and ask him to pass you your jacket that was hanging on the back of the door.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He asks you genuinely intrigued.
“To the interrogation room” you say matter of factly.
“What? No!” Loki snaps “you are to stay in bed and rest, you’re not coming to the…”
“What? No!” You find yourself repeating him.
“I need to know who that guy is, what he was doing there, if he saw…” Loki now cuts you off.
Pushing you backwards til you sit back on the end of the bed.
“You’re staying here, you’re going to rest, and then when I’m done questioning this guy, I’ll come back and tell you all about it” he taps you on both your shoulders, you wince slightly as your shoulder throbbed.
“See…you’re in no fit state to be in the same room as him” Loki gloats at you as he knows he’s right. He places a kiss on the top of your head as you glare at him walking out the door.
As soon as that door clicked closed behind Loki, you jumped back onto your feet, awkwardly placing one arm through your Hunter jacket whilst draping the other side over your bandaged up shoulder.
You make your way to the interview room that was attached to the interrogation cell.
Loki told you weren’t in no fit state to be in the same room as your shooter but he never said anything about being in the room next door to him.
You were surprised B15 was stood in there also.
Expecting her to be in the cell doing the questioning with the other two.
You avoid her gaze as you stand next to her, staring through the one way mirror out to where your suspect was sat, with Mobius and Loki before him.
“What was that back there?” She asks you, still looking forward.
“Nothing” you shrug.
“Hmmm” she crosses her arms now “didn’t look like nothing to me”
You don’t say anything else.
You felt embarrassed she had walked in on you and Loki playing tonsil tennis but you also didn’t have an answer for her.
What was this? Even you didn’t know.
Interrogations are long.
The suspects always long out questions, choosing silence over answering anything.
You were leaned up against the wall of the interview room now, the tiredness from earlier on catching up with you.
B15 comes back inside with a caffeine beverage for you.
She doesn’t say a word as you say your thanks.
You weren’t exactly friends, more like work colleagues that happened to be put on the same missions over and over again so you did create some sort of a relationship with her.
But things were definitely strained right now in the tiny confines of that room.
You want to say something more to her but the opening of the door once more stops you in your tracks.
It was Loki.
“I went to check on you in bed and…” he says to you as he runs a hand through his hair, totally annoyed.
“Surprised?” You grin at him sarcastically.
“Not one bit…however I think you’re wasting valuable resting time. He’s not talking and you’re not healing” he stares down his nose at you now, knowing he’s right.
“Oh Loki, it’s only a scratch” you tease him as B15 scoffs at your obvious flirting.
“By a bullet!” Loki snaps.
“Yes…by a bullet but he got a lucky shot!” You quip back.
“Purely getting the one part of me that wasn’t covered by my armour” you roll your eyes at the stupid design of your Hunter armour being so gappy at the shoulders.
“Hmm..a little too much of a lucky shot” you say working something out.
If you had taken a hit anywhere else, the bullet of ricocheted off you, you would have still be stood on your feet in front of the shooter as you could have attacked him back.
But he aimed for your shoulder knowing it wasn’t covered.
“He’s a hunter” you whisper out.
“What?” B15 can’t seem to work out what you said.
“He knew where to hit! He knew where our armour was at it’s weakest” you tell her as you poke the hole that was in her armour now.
“Ow!”
“See!” You turn to face Loki now as he understands your point.
“Not every one knows about the gappy armour! You literally put the chest piece on separately from the arm piece” you look between them both as your clarify your point.
“He’s a hunter” you say out loud as you look at the man still sat in the middle of the cell next door.

So I have an idea, this one I might potentially make and it's not related to the Lokius AU I mentioned earlier!
What if AU... Loki time slips back again and again to try and understand science, engineering & physics with the intention of fixing the Loom, but after centuries of doing this and failing every time, Loki is exhausted and he can't help himself... At some point, he goes back in time to see Mobius on his previous timelines (e.g.- pie moment). Or even goes back to see Don - Mobius's sacred timeline self, again... and again...
Tumblr media
And maybe when Loki goes back to see Mobius in his own timeline, the spaghettification happens much more rapidly, but when he goes to meet Don, he finds that the so-called 'Sacred Timeline' doesn't deteriorate as quickly as when he is in the TVA.
So when he needs some emotional support or feels so lonely and needs to see a familiar face to talk to, he goes back to see Don on the day he met they met.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And every time, it's like a reverse version of '50 First Dates' where Mobius doesn't know him, while Loki has gone through their same conversation multiple times and has already memorized it by heart.
And after centuries of repeating the same thing over and over, Loki has become an expert on how long a timeline lasts before the spaghettification happens (maybe he has a day or a few hours at most).
Depending on how rapidly the spaghettification occurs, or how slow it is, Loki spends as much time as possible to be with his friend. Sometimes he would change his narrative on their first or second meeting so that he is indeed there to buy a jet ski (or the one Don tries to sell him at his house) and rides it, perhaps even asking the handsome Don on a date.
But the more he goes back in time to be with Don, or with Mobius... it takes a major toll on Loki, who remembers every memory he has with the men while they don't remember him.
Ultimately, Loki knows he has to say his goodbyes because he is getting attached to a dream he could never have and knows he is getting sidetracked from his true mission to save his friends and fix the loom.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in the end, he goes back to Don one last time, a final farewell date. And he also goes back to Mobius as well, knowing this will be his final farewell to his beloved man as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bonus: Another What if AU - What if Loki finds a way to save Don's timeline from spaghettification (somehow), and therefore he spends years being with Don to the point where he marries Don and becomes the second father to Don's kids (this is a bit like a Wandavision with Wanda creating her own family).
Loki knows it's selfish because he wants to be with Mobius or Don in any form or shape and yet has a mission to do, but he also doesn't want to be alone and this causes him to stay longer than he should have, perhaps to the point where Mobius grows old (he's revealed some part of himself, such as him being a Norse god) and watches the boys grow into teenagers as well.
He lives a normal life, but the guilt eventually takes hold. Loki knows that this reality is not real, he had made this construct for himself because he was in a vulnerable place after having tried and failed to fix the loom a thousand times to no avail. And he goes back to his mission, knowing that someday he will be able to see Don and the kids again... just not physically with them.

Omg hello just found out your blog and !!! I’m so happy a Honkai wlw writer, and you write so well too, you’re a blessing !!! Since your req are open, may I ask for either Morbius or Einstein NSFW headcanon ? If you’d rather write a Drabble then I would propose her overstimulating reader-chan? <3 thank you so much, I hope you’re doing well, please have a great day!!!
Oh bless a Mobius request I’ve been waiting for this one shes so fine its unfair
Warnings: NSFW, BDSM themes, smut, hard dom mobius, afab reader, sub reader, mentions of choking, controlled shocking, overstimulation, restraining, vibrators, dildos, very hard smut
Character: Mobius
Requests: OPEN
Tumblr media
Letting Mobius have her way with you is basically asking to be practically tortured
Mobius is incredibly sadistic and teasing which has been shown time and time again throughout the Elysian Realm arc of the story
This can and will translate into your sex life with Mobius so I hope you are a least a little masochistic because her sadistic side takes over during sex
Mobius loves to put you through as much pleasurable pain as physically possible
She loves to experiment with your body to see what will get you off and what gives you a harder orgasm compared to other things
She makes a science out of if and even has notes on what gets you off faster and harder
You two have tried everything under the sun from more vanilla type things like fingering and oral to Mobius fucking you with a strap and or a vibrator to things that align more with the realm of BDSM like controlled shocking, whipping, harsh spanking, tying you up, ect
Mobius herself prefers these harsher styles of sex, loving how desperate and pathetic you look as she shocks your clit while choking you and forcing you to watch as she overstimulates you to hell and back
Every session with her ends in you dizzy and lightheaded from how many orgasms she forced your body through
Your thighs will be shaky and cheeks stained with tears, any makeup you were wearing ruined and smudged all over your face while Mobius herself will look pristine as ever
You don’t get to touch Mobius often when you two have sex because she prefers making you a mess of her design
However, there will be moments where Mobius decides to grace you with her body and allow you to touch her
Whatever you end up doing though, just know that she will be in charge every step of the way
Even if you are the one topping Mobius, your fingers knuckles deep inside of her or if your mouth is on her slick cunt, she is the one in control
Testing that control that Mobius has and takes oh so much pride in will not end well for you
That is unless you like being unable to think coherently for the next hours that the scientist decides to keep you trapped in her grip
She will leave you covered in marks from her nails that raise your skin and make it sore, perhaps even drawing some blood from how harshly she scratches you
Your legs will be numb when shes done, throat sore from crying out for her and as soon as the pleasure stops, it’s honestly a feat if you manage to not pass out almost immediately
Sex with Mobius typically takes place in her lab so that she can lock the doors to make sure no one can see what she is doing to you
That and because her lab has all of the equipment she now considers necessary for any and all sessions she has with you
Her lab contains the constraints she crafted for your body, all types of vibrators and silicon dildos of various sizes, shapes, and colors
Any extra equipment like whips, chains, shocking devices, clips and machines with various uses that she has or has not used on you yet
Her lab is also soundproof so that no one but her can hear every last noise you make during sessions because lord knows how long she makes you
Besides, she would never be able to live down any teasing from the others if they found out and Elysia would be quick to point out how it seems like Mobius has a soft spot for you
While Mobius claims that the sex she has with you contains no love and is simply a chore and an experiment she is completing
Even you can tell that with each session, her softspot for you grows decimals at a time
Perhaps in the near future she will admit that she sees you as more than a labrat for her sexual experiments and will come to terms with her feelings

Masterlist
Tumblr media
I tried to be as quiet, as possible as I made my way into kitchen. My mom was already asleep but I needed to get my keys in order to get back in, after sneaking out.
Yes, you heard me, I had to sneak out. Embarrassing, I know but not everyone had parents like my friends who had never heard of the word curfew before. Or no parents at all, like Draken.
Remembering him and my friends, I hurried and grabbed my keys before I went back into my room. I opened my window and carefully stepped outside. I slowly closed my window an started climbing down the ladders. Luckily, we only lived on the fifth floor, so it only took me a few minutes to reach the ground safely.
I huffed as I jumped down the last few centimeters. I breathed in deeply. The night air of Tokyo made me feel at home. I couldn't wait to finally see my friends again.
I was wondering, if Mikey had invited Takemichi too. He was relatively new, we only got to know him a few days ago, but Mikey really seemed to like him.
My thoughts were racing as I started to make my way to our usual meeting place. It was the shrine were the gang meeting were also held, but today it was just us.
I walked relatively fast, even though nearly no one was to be seen. It was already late and the most people were home with their families.
I wish I had paid more attention to my Surroundings, as I felt something solid hit the back of my head. I fell to my knees with a grunt. I quickly looked up, but my vision was a little bit blurry.
"Who do we have here?"
I recognized the voice as one of the members of Mobius. It was one of the guys who were present, when the girlfriend of one of Pah's friends was raped.
I gulped and tried to get back on my feet. The shrine was not far away, I was sure that the boys were already there.
"Oh no, you stay down!"
I yelped as the guy grabbed the back of my head a pushed me back down. As he took back his hand, I could see my own blood glistening on his skin.
"You're with Tokyo Manji", he smiled, "Were gonna leave them a little present"
He slowly leaned down and grabbed my chin, pulling my head up to look at him. He stared at me for a few seconds before he raised his hand and slapped me across the face.
I fell back, as I felt a bruise form on my cheek. It hurt like hell, but I tried to stay calm, in order to trick him.
I looked down, as he got closer again. Right as he was about to punch me again, I jumped up and pushed him to the ground. His minions, who had been standing behind me untill now, gasped audibly as I started running for my life.
"Get her!! Don't let her escape!!"
I heard how they started to chase me, as I rounded a corner. I nearly tripped, but I managed to save myself, before I miserably fell down.
It was one last corner left, before I reached the shrine. But unfortunately, what had to come, came.
I don't know how, but one of the Mobius people had outran me and I felt him grab my arm and he pulled me back against his chest. I tried to push him away but he put his hand on top of my mouth. His friends reached us in that exact moment.
Fortunate for me, because the guy who was holding me was distracted for a second. But a second was enough for me to kick him in the shin. He immediately let go of me and I managed to run the last few meters and around the corner.
I sighed relieved, as I saw my friends already waiting for me. Draken even saw me and raised his hand to wave at me. I wanted to smile at them, but I felt how a hand wrapped around my throat and pulled me back.
I choked, as the Mobius guy tightend his grip around my neck. I heard him chuckle next to my ear.
"You can't escape us", he mumbled, "Not even your friends can help you."
I watched, as Draken and the others immediately made their way over to us.
"Let her go!!", I heard Mikey yell.
"You wish", Mobius smiled.
He slightly squeezed my throat. I would've doubled over in pain, if his grip on me wasn't so hard.
"You piece of shit.", Draken pressed out. He looked like he would murder the Mobius guy any second.
My gaze wandered to him. I nodded As unobtrusive as possible. I waited for Draken to nod too. That was my sign and I did the same thing again as before. I kicked the Mobius guy in the shin as heavy as I could.
Unfortunately, he didn't react as hard as his goon. He only grunted and doubled over in pain, but he didn't let go of me.
"You bitch!!", he yelled.
I yelped, as he pushed me to the ground. I tried to get up, but before anyone of us could reached, the Mobius guy lunged forward and planted his foot in my stomach with all the strength he had. I tasted blood on my tongue, as I started to slip into unconsciousness.
"Y/N, stay awake!!", I heard Mikey yell.
I barely noticed how the fight around me started. I slipped in an out of consciousness. It felt like I fell off of a cliff but the impact never came. It was dreadful.
After a few minutes, I had at least managed to slow my breathing. My vision slowly but steadyly returned, as I felt how someone pulled me onto their lap.
"Hey Darling, stay a awake for me okay?", Draken whispered. I grunted, as he stood up with me in his arms.
"We need to get her to the hospital", Mikey mumbled. I felt how he gently pushed away a stray hair that had fallen into my bloody face.
"No...no hospital", I mumbled, as my gaze fell to the unconscious Mobius guys on the ground, "I snuck out, my mom will kill me."
"Fine, no hospital", Draken said,"Ill take her to my place."
"You sure?", Mizuya asked, "She does not look good. That last kick was pretty harsh. She could have internal lacerations"
"I'll be fine", I grunted. I tried to stand up, But Draken gently pulled me back into his arms.
"You're going nowhere right now, Y/N. I'll take you to my place to get you Cleaned up and then, I'll bring you home."
"Fine.", I said. After all, I had no real choice. I could barely walk and even though, I wasn't at risk of falling unconscious anymore, my vision was still slightly blurry.
Draken brought me to his Bike and gently set me down.
"I'm sorry for ruining our night.", I mumbled, as the boys said their goodbyes.
"You didn't ruin our night.", Pah smiled and patted my shoulder,"Its always nice to have a good fight."
I chuckled, as Mizuya slightly punched Pah's arm after his little joke.
"Of course, that doesn't mean that you should get caught in fights more often.", Pah quickly corrected himself.
"Thanks Pah.", I smiled.
"What he's trying to say", Mikey interrupted, "is that we're always here for you, no matter what."
"Thank you.", I sniffled, "I don't know what I would do without you guys."
"You'd probably be at home right now, studying or something else that is totally boring.", Draken grinned, as he got on his bike in front of me.
"Wow, rude.",I said sarcasticly, as I wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Always at your service, Darling.", Draken chuckled.
I felt how heat started to creep onto my cheeks, upon hearing that nickname. Fortunately, Draken started his bike and took off. The others watched us leave and I looked back on them for a second, before I laid my head down on Draken's shoulder. Only now, as the adrenaline slowly started to leave my body, I felt all the bruises and lacerations, which I had obtained in the last hour. I groaned as my head started to pound from the wound on the back of my head.
I closed my eyes and tried to relax, as we drove through the alighted streets of Tokyo. The cold night air eased my pain and little bit, so that it was bearable.
After about 15 minutes, Draken and I reached his home. The brothel. I had been here many times, so it wasn't new for me. After all, he grew up here and the people were nice, so I grew used to it.
"Come on, Love", Draken mumbled, as he got up from his bike. I only nodded and he helped me to my feet. I tried to walk on my own, but as I stumbled again Draken, after a few feet, he shook his head and picked me up bridal style.
With me in his arms, he started to climb the stairs to his room. I almost fell asleep to the soft swaying of his arms. My head was resting in the crook of his neck and his smell was intoxicating.
"Y/N?", Draken asked quietly.
I only hummed in response, so that he knew that I was fine.
After a few minutes, my eyes opened again. We had reached Draken's room. He pushed the door close behind him with his foot, before making his way to the bathroom.
"Let's clean you up."he said and switched on the light. My eyes squeezed shut at the bright light.
"Jesus...my head is pounding", I muttered, as Draken gently let me down on his bathroom counter.
I heard him chuckle slightly as he kneeled down to grab the first aid kid.
"Then we should start with your head, hm?", he asked as he pulled out the disinfectant.
I sighed, already feeling the stinging of the chemicals on the back of my head.
"Don't worry. I'll hurry", Draken promised.
I nodded and turned my head to the side, so that he could reach my wound.
"That looks nasty", Draken stated as he looked at it, "You better wear a hood for the next days or your mom will see."
I nodded and tried to suppress the hiss that left my lips, as he poured the disinfectant on the wound. He slowly started to clean it out, pushing my hair away from time to time.
After what felt like an eternity, he was finally finished and carefully Presse a band aid on the wound.
"First one done", he smiled.
"Great", I mumbled. I sighed and let my head fall against his shoulder,"I fucking hate Mobius!"
"They will pay for what the did to you.", Draken promised.
I looked back up at him and what I saw in his eyes was nothing but pure adoration. He raised his hand and ever so slightly grasped my cheek.
"I'll never let anything happen to you again, Y/N. I promise.", Draken murmured.
A smile crept onto my face:"Thank you, Ken."
I raised my hand. Slowly, my fingers closed around his wrist and I pulled him down to me by his arm.
I waited for any sings of rejection, but Draken didn't show any.
So, I just pulled him closer and closer, until he was only inches away.
"About damn time.",Draken mumbled before he pressed his lips on mine. I closed my eyes and kissed him back, just as passionate. I felt how he leaned forward, pushing me further back onto the counter. His hands came down around me, while my arms snuck around his neck, as he deepened the kiss.
As much as I was enjoying which was long overdue, I had to push Draken back, as his hands snuck under my shirt and he accidentally touched my bruise.
"I'm sorry!", Draken apologized immediately, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, don't worry", I smiled, holding onto my side, " 'm sorry."
"There is nothing to apologize for.", Draken said, "Let me see the bruise."
I nodded and slowly started to pull up my shirt. I gasped at the pain. Draken saw me struggle and slowly stepped forward.
"May I?", he asked quietly. I nodded and let him gently take off my shirt. Is sighed, as it was finally off.
I looked down and gasped. My abdomen was lithered in blue and purplish bruises.
"He only kicked me once, why are there so many bruises.", I asked myself
"He was wearing shoes with steel caps.", Draken explained, as he started to wrap a bandage around my stomach.
I furrowed my brows:"How do you know!"
He only grinned and lifted his own shirt. My mouth fell agape, as I saw the purple bruise on his lower abdomen.
"Draken!? Why didn't you tell me!?", I asked surprised.
"It's fine, don't worry.", Draken explained and let his shirt fall back down, "It doesn't even hurt and besides, you're injuries are way worst."
"That doesn't make your's better", I huffed.
"Well, what can I say against say that?", Draken asked sarcastically.
"Nothing.", I grinned and snatched the bandage from his hands.
"Your turn.",I stated and jumped down from the counter. I wish I could say that I landed as gracefully, as when I had snuck out earlier, but it was more like a blind cat had tried to get off of a tree.
Once again, Draken saved me from falling on my ass. He grabbed my shoulders and pulled me against his chest.
"You good?", he asked, a sad smile on his face.
"I've never been better.",I answered, "Come on, get up on the counter."
"Yes, m'am.",Draken chuckled and lifted himself up on the counter.
"Will you take my shirt off for me too?", he asked playfully.
My cheeks reddened, but I did as he asked. I gently grabbed his black and white shirt and pulled it off of him.
I then tried to take of his white shirt That he wore underneath, but he was simply too tall for me to lift it over his head. And with him sitting on the counter, I barely reached his shoulders.
Draken chuckled, as he took his shirt off himself.
"Yeah, Keep laughing.", I pouted, playing as if I was pissed, but I couldn't help the grin that snuck on my face.
Finally, I started to wrap the bandage around his abdomen, just as he had done it for me a few minutes ago.
As I was working, I felt how Draken softly grazed his fingers over my shoulder. I shuddered at his touch.
"Stop it.", I grumbled, "I can't concentrate."
"Am I that distracting?",Drakem smiled and his hand immediately went to my chin. He pulled my head up to look at him.
"Obviously.", I chuckled.
"I really want to kiss you right now.", Draken said.
"Then do it", I mumbled.
Immediately, Draken leaned forward and connected his lips with mine. I smiled against his lips. This kiss was different. Less passionate and less lustful. It fell more promising, more emotional.
Draken's Hand gently rested on my cheek and as he pulled back. He softly nuzzled his nose against mine.
"Thanks.", he said. I looked at him perplexed, before I realized that he meant the bandage.
"Oh right", I agreed.
"It's pretty late", Draken stated and looked at the clock. It was 2 am by now.
"How about you stay here and I'll bring you back tomorrow?", he suggested.
I thought about it for a second. Tomorrow was Saturday. My mom worked in a coffee shop. Saturday's were always busy, which meant that she would leave the house before I even woke up, which meant that she wouldn't notice, if I returned later.
"That's a deal", I smiled.
Draken grinned and grabbed my hand. He pulled me into his chest. His naked skin against mine felt intoxicating and before I could say anything, Draken grabbed my thighs and hoisted me up against his body.
"Ken!!", I yelped, but he was faster. The sneaky Bastard. He pressed his lips back against mine, as he slowly walked back into his room and towards his bead.
Still aware of my wounds, he slowly let me down on the cushions. His hand gently supported my neck so that my head carefully landed on the pillow.
I opened my eyes and watched Draken move on top of me. A soft smile was on his face.
"It really was about damn time," he mumbled.
"It was.", I agreed, "Mikey owns me money now."
"What!?", Draken laughed.
"We made a bet on who of us would confess first."
"On who did you bet?", he asked.
I chuckled:"As if I'd ever tell you."
"Oh, you're gonna regret that!"

Weekend Top Ten #606
Top Ten Time Travel Stories
I probably should have written about this last week, when the show actually returned to Disney+, but I wanted to do something about Loki. I think the series has been one of the most popular of the MCU TV shows so far, and whilst (for me at least) it wasn’t as experimental as WandaVision or as fresh as Ms. Marvel, it’s still one of the most consistent shows they’ve done, with some terrific new characters in the likes of Mobius and especially Sylvie, and probably on balance the best designed Marvel show around (skinny ties for the win!).
Anyway, at its heart it’s a story about time travel; time travel so pervasive and all-encompassing that it ends up creating the MCU multiverse. But there were parts of that first season that felt like a weirdly off-kilter episode of Doctor Who, as a foppish Brit tooled round time and space accompanied by grumpy sidekick. And this got me thinking about a topic that I’ve rather amazingly (unless I’ve cocked up my reckoning) never covered before: time travel stories.
I’ve always loved time travel stories, as far back as I can remember. Part of it was the thrill of seeing other times and places; as a kid, I especially liked visions of the future. But also, from a young age, I loved the trippy, timey-wimey nature of the stories; whether it was changing history in a way that was reflected in the present, or some kind of pre-ordainment that allowed for all manner of amusing hijinks (something I still refer to as a “key moment” because of Bill & Ted). Basically, I think I can put all of this down to three things: Terminator, Back to the Future, and Target: 2006, all of which are reflected here in this list.
The way time travel stories can depict alternate futures or allow for our characters to interact with the past in interesting ways has always been fascinating, and it’s something I just adore about the genre. I love the different rules that you have to concoct for time travel; like how in Timecop you can’t touch your past self for some reason, which I like to think of as “Chekov’s Ron Silver” (also in that film: Young Ron Silver is cut on the face, instantly making a scar appear on Old Ron Silver). Or the way in Transformers there could only be a certain amount of matter occupying the timeline so if you went into the past, due to “mass displacement” someone was shunted into a limbo dimension temporarily. And, of course, there are tons not on this list; books (This is How You Lose the Time War!) and comics (Days of Future Past!) and films (Looper!) and games (Day of the Tentacle!) that I just could not find room for. So many really cool ideas explored via the medium of time travel.
Not much more to say, really, other than let’s have at it. And as Einstein rather melancholically intones in the intro to the sublime alternate-timeline adventure Red Alert, “sooner or later, time will tell”.
Tumblr media
The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991): I feel like these are the big guns of time travel, with their dystopic future, characters with a glorious destiny, high-tech robos, and an intriguing mix of the preordained and “no fate”. If you’re feeling shallow, the notion of a killer cyber-skeleton from the future with its skin suit coming back in time is a cool hook; but the unpicking of what we can change about our destiny versus what’s already “happened” is intriguing, because obviously if they change the future in T2 then there’d be no Terminator to get sent back, so no Reese, so no John, etc. These first two films are both masterpieces in their own right and classics of the genre.
Doctor Who (from 1963): this feels a little rote, oddly enough, because it’s an entire sixty-year-old show where one of the main hooks is they’re in a different time every week. But let’s be honest, that’s a hell of a hook. And there are some terrific ways in which they play with the ramifications of that; I could wax lyrical about Time Wars and fixed points and stuff like that bit in The Day of the Doctor when the “youngest” version of the Doctor starts a program running in his screwdriver so the “oldest” one can use the finished program, but I’m just gonna link to this fantastic explanation of the Bootstrap Paradox. God, I love this show.
The Transformers comics (from 1984): right, this one’s a bit of a cheat, because the comics have been going forty years and across (at least) four big publishers, but by Christ this was a biggie. Simon Furman’s Target: 2006 and its aftermath (literally ending in something called Time Wars) brought a character from the future into the present day and really introduced Little Me to the ways in which you could mess with time and space in a story. It’s phenomenal and I doubt there’s a British Transformers fan in their forties who wasn’t massively influenced by this story. Flash forward three decades, and James Roberts does something similar but very different in his Elegant Chaos arc, which sends the main characters back in time and not only seeds the future stories in interesting ways (this thing you thought was a thing was actually one of our guys from the future!) but ends up creating the entire Transformers multiverse and setting up the series Big Bads from the “Functionist Universe”. Phenomenal.
Back to the Future (1985-1990): the other biggie from my childhood. The first film is still a masterpiece in scriptwriting, but the properly wobbly time stuff happens in the other two films (especially part II). Tricks such as the vanishing photo are great representations of the perils of time travel and a fantastic piece of narrative sleight-of-hand, and we get great gags like “your kids are gonna love it”; but as well as offering a wild and exciting vision of the future, Part II has the barnstorming notion of integrating the characters into the events of the previous film. It’s just ingenious, hilarious, and a technical spectacle. Then the next film is a Western, which rocks.
The Time Traveler’s Wife (2003): a passionate, earnest, heartfelt, tragic love story that feels incredibly real and true – but is also a trippy time travel thing. A bloke is randomly pulled through time, keeps meeting the same woman at different points in their history, and they fall in love. Has some great notions as their lives slide in and out of sync: she meets him when she’s a child but he’s already married to her in the future; he meets her when he’s a student but he’s been present in her life for years at that point. Beautiful and profound, one of my favourite love stories. Also has a bit where, as a teenager, he shags himself.
Bill & Ted (1989-2020): full disclosure, I’ve not seen the latest one yet, but the first two have some terrific uses of time travel. Even the very notion of using a time machine to visit different periods in order to pass a history test is inspired lunacy; as is the concept of these two arseholes needing to be saved because they’re the ones who’ll eventually save the world. But the bit where they deus ex machina themselves out of a predicament by basically saying “when all this is over we’ll go back in time and leave a key here under this rock” is genius.
12 Monkeys (1995): another one where there’s a really cool, dark, sumptuously-designed dystopic future that we’re trying to avoid. This excels in being trippy, though, as poor old Bruce Willis doesn’t know down from up as he’s pulled back and forth in time, using piecemeal clues to search for a cure to a plague that destroyed the world. The slowly-emerging truth about what’s happening, and the gut-punch rug-pull ending, are darkly phenomenal, but despite it all it seems to end with just a sliver of hope.
Avengers: Endgame (2019): ah yes. Of course. Here we are. But there are two big reasons why I love this film and its use of time travel. One is the almost Back to the Future way it revisits scenes from previous films. The other is its depiction of time as a solid thing; you can’t change the future by changing the past, you just create other branches of time. This allows them to dick about in the past with impunity, bringing forward the older, eviller versions of characters. And, of course, it has the courage of its convictions to stick with the wild decisions it makes.
Star Trek (from 1966): like Transformers, another series filled with different depictions of time travel. I love the fact that in the future, time travel is relatively commonplace – people know it happens and different ways to accomplish it – but still rare and kinda exciting. Really, though, I want to talk about two films: The Voyage Home and First Contact. Both see our established crews journey to the past, but other than that they’re quite different. There’s a lot of great comedy in Voyage with our heroes navigating the “present day” of 1986; Contact is still set in a future but really uses time travel to examine things about the Federation and our characters. And, let’s face it, the scores of other films and episodes make time travel a fundamental part of Trek.
The Return of Bruce Wayne (2010): just pipping other great time travel epics to the post, we have this brilliant story about Bruce Wayne Quantum Leaping his way through history (and that was another show that only just missed the cut). The notion of Batman being a caveman or a pirate or a cowboy is interesting in and of itself; but the way Grant Morrison seeds in the future history of the character, or grapples with wacky metaphysical concepts, is incredibly entertaining.

the gods among us
andrew!peter x loki-variant!reader | fluff
summary: you're a loki variant who's sucked into the multiverse mess. you meet the famous Peter Parker, as well as two more Peter Parkers, one more annoying than the other. | FEM!READER NO WAY HOME SPOILERS! : Labcoat Peter is andrew!Peter btw.
Tumblr media
Waking up in a pile of sand described your entire life in less than ten words.
One second, you were arguing with Mobius and now here you are, surrounded by trashcans and dirt. Luckily, you still had your knives, which were your only source of comfort. Last week, Sylvie had given you a wide range of choices of weapons to choose from, but you stuck to your daggers. You didn't have the time or patience to figure out machine guns and crossbows.
Besides, the only secret one needs to know about knives was something you had already memorized years ago — the sharper the edge, the cleaner the cut.
You stood up, groaning from the mild pain which was now climbing up your spine. Before you could figure out your next step, a familiar voice spoke from behind.
"Y/N?"
You let out a sigh of relief.
In foreign lands, who wouldn't be happy to see someone friendly? Peter Parker got under your skin most of the time, but he's one of the only few Avengers you didn't hate. You also immediately connected the dots — if there's Peter, you were on Midgard, a place you have been to a lot of times because of Loki.
"What's going on? Didn't you like, die last year?"
"No, that was Loki," you corrected, loosening the grip on your knife.
"No, I'm pretty you both died."
"Gods never really die," you said mysteriously, not wanting to explain how Loki stole the Tesseract and weaseled his way out of this mess. Your words had the intended effect on him, whose mouth fell open like a baby who's been shown card tricks for the first time.
"But how am I here?" you wondered, shivering against the cold. "I was literally winning the argument against Mobius and now I'm in this dump of a planet, no offense."
"None taken. Er, listen I might know something about that."
You groaned. "What did you do now? Are we in another world catastrophe?"
"It's more of an intergalactic problem," he said, pointing to the door behind him, something you haven't noticed before.
Turns out, you were currently standing in the dumpster behind some sort of unused laboratory. Or that's what you assumed by the hazard pictogram on the metal anyway.
Hesitating, you followed the boy inside. He muttered under his breath about something or the other, but you were too distracted to make out the words.
"There are some new faces by the way," he said, sounding exhausted.
Finally stepping into the light, you saw that it indeed was a laboratory, but it definitely wasn't empty. Ned and MJ were people you instantly recognized, but there were two more men — one in a labcoat and another in casual attire.
"Y/N!" MJ smiled, which made you soften inside. It wasn't everyday that someone was happy to see you. "Peter, c'mon did the multiverse thing bring her here too?"
"I think so?" he said, scratching the back of his head. "Uh, meet Y/N everyone."
The one you assumed to be the oldest just gave you a sympathetic smile, as if he could see how confused and worried you were inside. Nice guy, you decided.
The Labcoat looked up from whatever solution he was brewing, web-shooters pointing straight at you already. Not so nice.
"She's friendly, we know her," Peter said quickly, the one who was still standing next to you. You remained unaffected by Labcoat's hostility and decided to clear some things up.
"Wait, wait they're your variants?" you were excited. It wasn't every day you met others of your kind.
"Kind of?"
His hesitation made you raise an eyebrow. "And I'm here because someone tampered with the multiverse?"
"Possibly," he nodded grimly.
"That someone being you?"
"It wasn't his fault!" Labcoat Peter said sharply, though he did lower his hands.
"Charmed to meet you too," you said, tilting your head to one side. "What are you people trying to do anyway?"
"There are monsters we need to cure—" the youngest Peter's voice was cut off by Labcoat.
"Don't tell her the plan, she looks suspicious." He almost sounded like a protective brother, which you found interesting.
You did a quick scan of his face. Kind eyes, but tired ones. He's been pushing himself for the last many years, you could see that. Why he had marked you as untrustworthy was yet to be known, but it wasn't the most unusual thing to happen that day.
"I'm literally the nicest person ever," you shrugged, sitting down on an empty chair.
"Is that why you have a knife?"
"Three knives," you corrected. "Plus one switchblade."
"Okay, we're not fighting when we have things to do," the oldest Peter said, gesturing to all the different books before him. "And you look cold, do you want a blanket or something? I can look around—"
"I'm fine," you interrupted. "I'd rather have a ticket out of this place and you mortals clearly need my help."
You were about to take a bottle of acetone, but webs knocked it out of your hands. Unsurprised, you glared at Labcoat. It was clear that you wouldn't get anything done if he's still being like this.
"I don't care who you think you are," you said angrily, standing up. "But you should think twice before getting on the bad side of a witch and a god."
"You're a god?" Just for a second, he looked genuinely surprised. It definitely caught him off guard. You smiled.
"God is just a title, witch is what you should watch out for," you said, snapping your fingers.
The bottle instantly flew out of his reach and came back to your waiting fingers. That little show did render him speechless, making you oddly proud inside.
"Right so, uh, now that's done, here's our plan," the youngest Peter said, spreading a chart over the table.
------
Their idea was well thought out, which also mean it was very boring.
You almost drifted off to sleep while Peter was lecturing on how to make the cures. Being a Loki and convincing others that you wanted to be helpful was no small feat, especially when there seemed to be someone who wanted to see you fail.
But as much as Labcoat Peter was annoying, he was also the one who did his part first, meaning your target of the plan should be him.
Of course you had a plan, you're a Loki. You were not exactly concerned with the well-being of Midgard. Interested? Yes. Not so much worried. You had more pressing issues, none of which could be addressed if you're stuck here.
"Hello," you said smoothly, sliding your seat next to him. Labcoat looked up, suddenly wary.
"I won't do it," he said plainly.
"I didn't say anything—"
"You're obviously in need of something. Why else would you stick around on Earth?" he asked, as though it was clear as the water in front of him.
"Peter's my friend."
"Acquaintances is a better word. If expect me to believe you care about him, then you must think I'm not the smartest."
You frowned. It might have been your fault to underestimate him but that didn't mean you were going to give up. You decided to take a different approach. Heroes were always easily persuadable.
"Fine," you sighed, folding your hands. "I do wanna go back. Is that so bad?"
"If you care about going back more than fixing this, that makes you dangerous," he recited off, taking a solution even though you knew it was ready.
"You're stupid if you think I need a reason to be dangerous," you smiled, leaning your head against your hand and looking up at him. Your playfulness only made him seem more tired.
"Alright then," he said, giving in. "If you're so powerful, what do you want? Why can't you just spin and vanish to wherever you wanna go in a puff of green smoke?"
"Because I don't know where the TVA is," you replied, a little impatiently. "I need a temp pad to go back and it's not something I can make in two seconds."
"And you think I'll make it?" He sounded so amused that you knew he won't agree to it so easily.
You thought for a bit before speaking. "TVA is ruining my life. All Lokis' lives actually. You're a variant of a Peter Parker. You don't know what it's like for us.
You get to be a hero in every universe. What would you do if you spend your whole life running and came to realize that the dumb choices you did weren't your fault but some idiots calling themselves the Time-Keepers?"
"What?"
"You got to be good. I didn't have a choice," you said sharply. "I'd rather go back to my own universe and see my mom, my cat, and my plant — gods, did anyone even water the plant? And you know how long it's been since I've had the pancakes made by my brother?"
"Where are you going with this?" He interrupted, angrily meeting your eyes.
"You can go back home," you whispered, showing just a crack of vulnerability. Just enough that he visibly softened. "I can't. Not ever. The least I can do is burn down TVA and any gods who think they can take away free will. I just need the temp pad and I swear I'll go my own way."
"I haven't even heard of temp pad before! You can't expect me to make it!" he said defensively.
"You're smart and I'll help," you said, your voice suddenly excited. "Please?"
He sighed, making you properly smile. Heroes were always easily persuadable, especially if you made them think they were saving you.
------
"Where were you?" MJ asked, seeing you walk back into the laboratory half an hour later.
"Had to take care of something," you winked, then threw a glass rod to Labcoat. He caught it easily, not even looking up from what he was working on.
"This is too short," he said, then instantly added, "nevermind, I'll take care of it."
"What are you guys working on?" the youngest Peter asked, removing his glass goggles. "I thought you finished the cures."
"I did, this is just something for Y/N- AHA!" Labcoat Peter jumped up, and you almost expected him to start tap dancing. "Finally!"
"Is it done?" you asked, alarmed. "Already?"
"I think so, I've done all you told me, and now the chip's properly installed." He showed the small rectangle device, making you almost scream with joy yourself. Just as you were about to reach for it, he raised it over his head.
You groaned. "What now?"
"You are not walking off into the sunset while the rest of us needs help," he said, pointing to the laboratory. "You know magic. If anything goes wrong, it's good to have a god for backup."
"I thought I was suspicious."
"No, you're just annoying. I promise I'll give you the temp pad after this mess is over."
"Or I can just kill—" you stopped when you saw the youngest Peter was staring. No matter how grown-up he may be, he still looked like a wound puppy, or more specifically, like a kid whose parents are always fighting. You also remembered how he just lost his aunt.
"Fine," you muttered bitterly.
"Great!" MJ clapped her hands. "Do we start looking for the monsters now? Are all loose ends tied up nice and tight?"
"Actually, there's still Mr. Strange," the youngest Peter said, frowning. "I did trap him in the mirror dimension but I'm pretty sure he can't stay there for long."
"Don't worry about that, I took care of it," you said quickly.
"You did?" the oldest Peter asked, astonished.
"Why did you think I disappeared a while ago? I knew Stephen was the only one no one thought of so I kinda went ahead and did my own thing. Closed the portals for 24 hours. You're welcome."
"I thought you were out to get glass rods," Ned said, confused.
"I just picked it up from the trashcans on my way back." You shrugged. Everyone still looked surprised. "Seriously? Me helping without any strings attached is such a new concept?"
"It is, but we'll take about that later," Labcoat Peter said shrewdly. "And are we sure that the sorcerer Strange is such a liability? What if we need him?"
"Pfft, we won't," youngest Peter said, waving it off.
------
ONE HOUR LATER
"Uh, I think we need Mr. Strange!" he yelled, looking at the sky.
You followed his lead, then immediately wished you hadn't. There seemed to be purple clouds, which wouldn't be alarming if there weren't thousands of silhouettes adorned among them, as if the stars are transforming into millions of people.
You gulped, knowing most of them were probably unfriendly.
"We need to stop this messed up spell now," you yelled, eyes trained on the approaching madness.
"CALL BACK STRANGE!" Labcoat Peter yelled. "Open the portals and bring him back!"
"How the hell do I do that— he's going to be there for 24 hours!"
"Do you want the temp pad or not?"
You bit down your lips, something you did whenever you had to make a choice between what was good for you versus what was good for everyone else.
"Give me the temp pad first," you demanded, holding out your hand.
"No, I'm not stupid," he said, stepping closer.
Cursing, you closed your eyes, trying to think of any incantation which would work, something to break the protective charm you had placed over the mirror dimension. If you somehow did that, Stephen could easily find his own way back.
You decided on a simple reversible spell, one that wasn't too complicated to do or remember. Clapping your hands together, you drew upon the power from any source you could — the air, the earth, the smell of apple trees a mile away — anything and everything you could connect with.
"Now," you whispered, lowering yourself and touching the ground with your hand.
Green smoke peaked out of the pebbles, then a glass-shattering sound echoed through the plane, one that was so strong that everyone stopped what they were doing and stared. You tried to help, but all it seemed to do was bring a ringing to everyone's ears.
"What the hell happened?" an unfamiliar voice said, making you turn in shock. A man in a long red cape was looking upon your small group with exasperated eyes.
"Mr. Strange!" the youngest Peter yelled, running forwards to hug him.
Stephen frowned at this gesture of affection and you would have laughed, but you had more pressing issues at hand. You turned to your Peter.
"Give me the temp pad, Labcoat," you said sharply, pointing at his hand.
"Labcoat? That's worse than Webhead," he scoffed, though he did seem entertained. Too entertained actually.
"I did what you asked!" you snapped. "Now hand it over."
"I said I'll give it to you after you're done with the fight," he said, holding the device close to his heart. "And you're going back to your home, not TVA. Go back to your family and land of pancakes."
"No," you gritted your teeth, angry and exhausted after the spell you just did.
You pounced, trying to get it off his annoyingly sticky fingers. He clawed at it with force, and the two of you were literally wrestling over a device while the universe was falling apart. Not your best moment.
"Let it go," you warned. "I'm saying this one last time, let it go."
"No!" he yelled.
"Then we're doing this my way," you whispered triumphantly, then pressed the button on its screen, the one that had the coordinates of where you needed to be.
Then all turned to dust.
-----
Pure darkness greeted you when you opened your eyes. You stood up, lighting the nearest lantern with magic, and saw that you were in a cellar of some kind.
"Where the hell am I?" Labcoat Peter yelled, jumping up from the floor at the sudden light.
"Welcome to TVA!" you said smugly. "I told you to let go."
"Huh," he stood up, looking around. "TVA's smaller than I imagined."
"Well, we're obviously in some kind of basement, I just need to find a way out." You squinted your eyes. "Wait, why are you not freaking out?"
"Hm?" He turned to you with a smile he had clearly lost trying to fight. "Oh, that's because we're in Tessa's cafe. In the cellar actually."
"What?"
"See," he pointed to the boxes in the corner, the ones that had a large 'T' printed on their sides. "I recognize the logo."
You were only more confused. "You've been to TVA before?"
He laughed, a full booming laugh that made you want to strangle him. "We're not in TVA, Your Highness."
A god doesn't usually go speechless, but that's sort of what happened with you. Saying "no" repeatedly under your breath, you went to the door, trying to force it open.
"The temp pad didn't work?" you yelled all the while you were pulling at the handle. "Why the fuck didn't it work?"
"Because I don't know how to make a fudging temp pad!" he said, still amused. "I'm smart, but not enough to literally make a portal through universes. I made a random gadget so you would stick around and help us."
"You did what?"
"I don't know how we're back at my universe though. My best bet is Stephen took care of it and fixed the spell. See, I knew he'd be useful!"
You were fuming.
No really, you could feel the anger coursing through your veins, burning everything from the inside out.
"I'm. Stuck. In. Your. Fucking. Universe?"
"With me!" he added joyfully. "Now I know it won't be as good as your pancakes but Tessa's has some excellent coffee. C'mon, it's my treat."
He used his webs to pull the door open, then casually walked past you, oblivious to your glares.
You followed him reluctantly because there wasn't much you could do. After the entire mess in Midgard, coffee didn't sound so bad. You could always just kill him later.

Time of Need - Loki Laufeyson
You and Mobius land in the Void, finding all sorts of Lokis. Yet, you only truly care about one.
Tumblr media
“Stop squirming.”
“I am not squirming,” Loki hissed as you pulled the final suture through the wound on his bicep. The muscles in his arm clenched in a flinch, and the movement stressed the stitches you just finished. A thin trickle of red dripped down, a stark contrast to Loki’s pale skin.
“You’re squirming,” you sighed as you discarded the needle and surgical thread. You turned your head towards the rock you set the medpack on and reached for the roll of gauze. The supplies were stamped with the TVA logo, a bright orange reminder of the lies you were told.
The medpack was the last thing you grabbed before you were pruned, betrayed, stabbed in the back. It stung more than when Loki chased after Sylvie, leaving you and Mobius behind in an apocalypse to face the consequences of trusting him. Loki made his way back to you, he sat on the ground beside you, eyes trained on the dirt to distract from the pain.
“Hold still,” you murmured as you began to wrap gauze to Loki’s wound. He tensed again, but did not flinch away as you secured the covering. Immediately the white soaked up the blood that trickled out between the stitches. Not your best work, but it would do. “There.”
Loki craned his neck and studied the wound. Apparently satisfied, he looked back to you and you felt your breath catch in your throat. Loki had unbuttoned and pulled his shirt down to expose his arm. In the process, he also exposed the upper section of his chest: his broad shoulders, his collarbones. You could not help how your eyes traced over the slopes of his body before you met Loki’s eyes once more. All you could do was quietly hope he didn’t notice.
“Thank you,” he said, a soft smile pulling at his lips. Quickly, you averted your gaze and set to picking up the bloodied wipes you had used.
“Yes, well, we need to give you and Sylvie the best chance against Alioth.” Your words were a dismissal of your deeper need. You needed to make sure Loki was alright. You needed to see him off, feel the coolness of his skin beneath your fingertips. Preparing him for Alioth was merely a bonus.
“Do you think it’s stupid?”
At his question, you looked up at Loki. He had pulled his shirt back over his arm but left the top buttons undone. With his messed hair and slightly wide eyes, he looked undone himself…nervous perhaps.
“What?”
“Sylvie’s plan. Enchanting,” Loki looked out towards the dark purple cloud that loomed in the distance, “that.”
“I think there are worse plans,” you replied, a smile forging its way on your lips as you added, “stabbing it, for instance.”
Loki let out a breathy chuckle and turned his head to face you. There was a softness in his eyes that made your chest tighten and the bid your need to return. You needed to tell him about the strange swirling he stirred up in your heart. No, you didn’t, you thought, that’s not what he needed to hear.
A long pause stretched between you and Loki before you found the words, and stomach, to speak. “I believe in you. You and Sylvie.”
“I feel that I may not deserve your faith,” Loki mused with a frown. You mirrored his expression and shook your head.
“It’s not about deserving, not really. You just have it.” You needed to add how Loki had proved himself. How he showed his goodness when he told you and Mobius about the TVA, when he tried to free you both. You needed to add how he was no coward, that he was fighting to find the truth rather than continue to lie to himself about himself.
But, before you could give voice to your thoughts, Loki’s frown faded into a look of nervousness again as he asked: “I have you?”
“I…” You eyes flicked over Loki’s face as the tension rose. You needed to tell him your truth, rather than continue to lie about and dodge the feeling that you needed him. “You have me.”
A shuddering, held breath fell from Loki’s lips at your reply. Relief flooded his features, eased the spark of worry in his eyes. It was then you became terribly aware of how close you were, how undone the buttons of his shirt were. Your gaze flicked around Loki as if his nervousness transferred to you, making it too hard to meet his eyes.
Then, you left Loki’s fingertips skirt along your jaw. You nearly jumped at his cold touch but, instead, you leaned in as if tied to a lure. That lure being Loki, his eyes, which were full of all the gentleness you originally thought he lacked when you first read his TVA file. Yet, with his hand pressed against your cheek, you felt nothing but tenderness.
You let your gaze trail from his eyes and down his extended arm. “You’re going to tear the stitches, if you’re not careful.”
“Then we,” he said softly, “will have to be careful.”
A closed-lip smile spread across your face right before Loki pulled you close by your jaw. His lips met yours in the middle but you needed more. Your hand reached then, brushing against the exposed skin of his neck. At the touch, you felt Loki’s lips quirk upwards, smiling into the kiss. As you needed to, you took your time and saved the feeling.

I’m Not Half as Bad as You’ve Been Told
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Synopsis: Loki is arrested by the TVA for what he did to you
This can be read on it’s own or as a spin off of in case you don’t live forever
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Loki woke up in the Gobi Dessert in Mongolia after being ejected from the sky. The last thing he remembered was taking the tesseract after getting caught by the Avengers in New York. When he opened his eyes, he was met with four armed guards with their weapons pointed at them.
“Hunter B-15 with the Time Variance Authority here. Appears to be a standard sequence violation.” Hunter B-15 read off a small monitor. “Oh and look at that, you’re one of the TVA’s most wanted.”
“I beg your pardon?” Loki asked as he got off the ground.
“Hands up.” Hunter B-15 raised her weapon. “You’re coming with us.”
Before Loki could protest, he was knocked out and had a collar placed around his neck. He was brought to the TVA headquarters and handed off to Agent Mobius after being screened.
“Loki Laufeyson. I’m agent Mobius.” Mobius introduced himself as Loki tugged at his collar. “I hear the Time Keepers find you guilty of tampering with the sacred timeline.”
“The what?” Loki huffed.
“The sacred timeline. Looks like you stole the tesseract and committed crimes against the midgardian Y/n L/n.” The Mobius read off Loki’s file.
“Y/n?” Loki stumbled back at the unexpected mention of your name. “This is about her?”
“That’s part of your charges, yes. You’ll be given more details at your trial. But I’d ike to have a talk with you first. Come this way.” Mobius nodded towards the side and lead Loki to a room with a projector on a long conference table.
“What does this have to do with Y/n? Where is she? Is she all right?” Loki asked as he took a seat behind the projector. He had worried about you since the day you left him, even after you told him you never wanted to see him again.
“She’s fine.” Mobius assured him. “Even after you got a hold of her.”
“Is she here?” Loki hoped. “Could I see her?”
“No.” Mobius answered, making Loki’s face crumple. “She’s on Earth. You know, her home.”
“I know Midgard is her home.” Loki narrowed his eyes. “I also know how much she hated it there. But this all happened ages ago. Why am I being arrested for it now?”
“Well when you took the tesseract from its set path, the TVA was alerted and noticed that this wasn’t your first offense of tampering with the sacred time line. They saw that Y/n L/n never made it back to earth in 2019 after going to Asgard to retrieve the Aether. It went undetected at the time since the Aether made it back to earth like it was supposed to. She was supposed to go back as well, but she never made it. You were the one that kept her there.”
“How is that a crime?” Loki asked. “She wanted to stay with me. She was happy! She was happy on Asgard.”
“Was she?” Mobius raised his eyebrows and turned on the screen. “Because I think she was taken from her family, friends and home. Maybe I’m mistaken, though. Let’s take a look.”
Mobius pressed a button on a remote, and a projection appeared in front of them. Mobius began to fast forward through the foundational moments in Loki’s life until he got to what he was looking for. Loki watched in shock as an image of you, Thor, and Rocket creeping around a pillar in his home appeared on the screen. He wanted to shut his eyes and look away, but it had been so long since he’d seen you. He didn’t have the strength to look away from you now.
“I’m sure you remember why she was there.” Mobius said as he watched the scene unfold. “All she wanted was the infinity stone. She was trying to save the world. She missed her boyfriend and wanted to undo all the damage that Thanos had done. You couldn’t let her do that, could you?”
“The stone still made it back to earth.” Loki protested. “She said herself that she wasn’t an important part of the plan. And her “boyfriend” was nothing but dust particles. She-“
“Shh.” Mobius waved his hand. “The shows about to begin.”
Loki painfully returned his attention to the screen right as your first introduction played out. It was your job to distract Loki while Thor and Rocket collected the Aether.
Asgard 2013
“Who goes there?” Loki cringed at the sound of his own voice. He watched Rocket and Thor hide behind a pillar while you went out into the open. You walked into a room and found Loki lying on a couch, tossing something in the air and catching it. Loki sat up when he saw you, immediately on high alert.
“Who are you?” He demanded. “How did you get in here?”
“I’m so sorry, but my friends and I are here for the festival and I just had to sneak away to find you.” You gushed, trying to it best to look innocent. Loki took long strides towards you as he took in your appearance, highly skeptical of your story.
“My brother isn’t here.” Loki informed you, his voice thick with annoyance. “So you should best be on your way.”
“I’m not here for your brother.” You said coyly. You held his gaze as you signaled for Thor and Rocket to move to the next room.
“You’re here for me?” He cleared his throat to mask the disbelief in his voice. You nodded sweetly as Thor and Rocket snuck past you.
“Of course. My friends are obsessed with your brother, but I’ve always loved you. Won’t you show me a magic trick?” You batted your eyes flirtatiously, making a slight smirk appear on Loki’s face. Meanwhile, the present day Loki was watching the interaction with a pained expression. He remembered how it felt that first time you said you loved him. That was all he needed to hear before falling in love with you just the same.
“A magic trick?” The Loki on screen asked, mischief swirling behind his eyes.
“Well you are the God of Mischief, aren’t you?” You tilted your head to the side and looked at him through your eyelashes. A full, open mouthed smirk dressed his face now. His hand went to yours and it held it up, keeping your wrist tightly between his fingers. Loki brushed the fingers on his other hand over your palm and a diamond appeared. You looked at the beautiful diamond, weightless in your hand, and let out an unexpected gasp.
“Oh, Loki. That’s amazing.” You gave him an over dramatic sigh, but he completely fell for it. “But I don’t care much for diamonds. I haven’t any use for them.”
Loki felt a twinge of competition brewing in his chest, like he had to win your approval. You faked a yawn and his eyes gleamed with determination.
“You don’t like that? Well how about this?” Loki challenged and waved his fingers over your palm again. This time, a flower appeared. It didn’t look like any earthly flower. It was ten times more beautiful and smelled better than anything you had ever smelled before. The flowers colors were green and black with accents of gold, just like Loki’s outfit. You stared at the flower in amazement before looking up shyly at him. If you weren’t mistaken, the God of Mischief had a blush on his cheeks as he watched your face carefully for approval. Loki then picked up the flower and tucked it behind your ear. He began to lean in slightly, but you were interrupted by Thor and Rocket knocking over a vase. You noticed they had the stone and were ready to go. Luckily, you saw them before Loki did.
“What was-“ Loki began to turn his head towards the sound but you quickly put a hand behind his head and pulled him into a kiss. You felt his eyes flutter shut as you opened yours, catching sight of Rocket and Thor pretending to gag out of the corner of your eye. With one hand, you motioned for them to move. They quickly scattered and you pulled away from the kiss. Loki was fully blushing now but doing his best to conceal it, though his best wasn’t good enough. He seemed completely bewildered, making you wonder if he’d ever kissed anyone before. You touched your fingertips to your lips and felt a pang of guilt. This was your first time kissing someone other than Peter Parker in 5 years, and it made you feel guilty with how much you enjoyed it. Loki appeared to be just as lost in his thoughts as you were as he struggled to catch his breath. He ran a hand over the long black hair that you had slightly messed up in the back.
“Thanks for the flower. And for everything else. Bye!” You tried to make a quick escape, but Loki caught your arm.
“Wait!” He pulled you back towards him and looked at you with wide eyes. “Will I see you again?”
“No.” You smiled sadly. “I don’t think you will.”
“You’re not from here, are you?” He asked. “I know a Midgardian when I see one.”
“Good catch.” You let out a short laugh. “No, I’m not from here. I’m not even from this reality. I just needed to borrow something from your present. I’m from Earth, and I really have to get back.”
You tried to leave again, but Loki followed after to you and caught you by the waist. You stumbled back into his arms and blinked in surprise.
“Won’t you stay?” He asked hopefully. “We only just met. Do you have to leave so soon?”
“I do.” You frowned. “I’m sorry. I really need to go home.”
“All right.” Loki reluctantly let go of you. “If you must.”
You looked at him for a moment and chewed on your bottom lip, contemplating what to do. You looked behind you and saw Thor and Rocket preparing to leave. You motioned for them to leave without you before looking back at Loki.
“Do you have a pen?” You asked him.
“A what?”
“To write with.” You chuckled and motioned as of you were writing something down. Loki waved his hand and made a quill appear out of thin air, along with a piece of paper.
“That’ll work.” You shrugged and took the quill. You wrote your name and address down on the paper and handed it to him.
“If you’re ever on earth.” You smiled shyly. “Come find me.”
“I will.” He nodded eagerly.
“I really have to go now.” You said as you looked over your shoulder to where Thor was hiding. You turned back to Loki and gave him one last kiss, surprising the both of you.
“You’ll see me again.” You said softly. “Maybe not in this timeline, but the next.”
“That’s enough.” Loki interrupted, making the screen pause. “I know what happens. And since you’ve been studying me all my life as you claim, so do you. We don’t need to watch anymore.”
“I get it, you’re impatient.” Mobius held up his hands. “We can fast forward. How about we go to the part where you used magic to break her suit? Your brother was able to get back to Earth just fine, but she was stuck on Asgard. All because of you.”
Mobius pointed a remote at the screen and fast forwarding through Loki sneaking you to his bed chambers. He stopped when he got to you and Loki sitting on his silk sheeted bed.
“I don’t know why it won’t work.” You sighed as you touched all the buttons on your suit. “I must’ve run out of Pym Particles or something. I need to fix it so I can get back to Earth.”
“Right, right. Earth.” Loki said with disinterest. “What did you need to borrow anyway?”
“The aether.” You told him as the decor in his room caught your attention. You began to look at all his golden trinkets and stolen objects with awe.
“An infinity stone?” He was taken aback. “But why?”
“In the future, Thanos wipes out half the universe.” You began. “I’m on a recovery mission with the rest of the Avengers to collect the Infinity Stones to undo what he did. We’re trying to bring all the people back.”
“Half the people in the universe gone?” He gasped. “That sounds awful.”
“It is.” You stilled for a moment. “Honestly, I’m miserable. Absolutely miserable. All my family vanished. My boyfriend is gone. Half the Avengers are gone. The sky isn’t even blue anymore. It’s horrible.”
“So you aren’t happy there?” Loki asked as he walked over to you, a little jealousy bubbling when you mentioned a boyfriend.
“I hate it.” You admitted. “Everywhere I turn, I’m reminded of what I lost. That’s why it’s so important that we bring everyone back.”
“But what if your plan fails?” Loki wondered. “What if you don’t bring back all the stones? Or what if you do, but it doesn’t bring anyway back?”
“Then I don’t know what I’d do.” You shrugged sadly. “This plan is all I have. If it fails…”
“You don’t even want to think about that, do you?” He finished your sentence when you trailed off. You looked at him and nodded softly, grateful that he understood.
“Yeah.” You said quietly. “It’s too hard to imagine.”
“See?” Loki interrupted again. “She was miserable on Earth. She said it herself. I was trying to save her from a lifetime of misery.”
“I think you’re forgetting something.” Mobius reminded him.
“Forgetting what?” Loki scoffed.
“The plan worked.” Mobius said. “Thor brought the Aether back to her original timeline, and the Avengers were able to bring everyone back. She was supposed to go too, but she was left on Asgard. That was your first offense with the TVA.”
“Oh, screw the TVA.” Loki slammed his hand on the table. “She didn’t want to go back to Earth. She was unhappy there.”
“Is that why you told her Earth was destroyed?” Mobius asked. Loki stilled and sank in his seat as he was reminded of his lies. Mobius fast forwarded again, but didn’t play another scene. Instead, he paused on a clip of you looked utterly devestated. Loki had to look away, not wanting to see you in that much pain.
“Now, I’m not gonna play this part.” Mobius shook his head. “Because even I find it hard to watch. But you need to know what you did, so I’ll remind you.”
“You don’t need to do this.” Loki seethed. “I know what I did. I know what I told her.”
“Fine, then.” Mobius shrugged. “Why don’t you tell me what happened?”
Loki sucked in a sharp breath before looking back at the screen. The image of your desolate expression had never left his memory, so he really didn’t need to see it again to be reminded of what he had done.
“She tried to leave again.” Loki began as he stared at the screen. “I knocked her out with my magic. When she woke up, I told her Thanos had destroyed Earth and everyone on it. I said there was nothing left for her to return to.”
“She was devestated.” Mobius said quietly.
“I know she was.” Loki snapped. “She cried for a month straight.”
“So why’d you do it?” Mobius put his hands on his hips. “Why did you lie to her?”
“I didn’t want her to go.” Loki admitted, growing disgusted with himself. “I wanted her to stay with me on Asgard. She wouldn’t want to go back to Earth if she thought there was no Earth to go back to.”
“Why keep her?” Mobius wondered. “You barely knew her. Why hold her hostage like that?”
“She wasn’t held hostage.” Loki growled. “She was safe and loved and happy. No one on Asgard was taken better care of than she was. And I may not have known here when she first arrived, but we became inseparable after a while. We were almost married, for Odin’s sake. I’ll show you.”
Loki grabbed the remote from Mobius and pressed a button, fast forwarding until he found what he was looking for.
“Look.” Loki proudly pointed to the screen. “Watch this.”
He pressed play and watched as a memory of you and him played out on the screen.
“Where are we going?” You asked as Loki lead you somewhere with his hands over your eyes.
“Almost there. So impatient.” He clicked his tongue.
“You’ve taken me around the whole palace.” You chuckled. “I have a right to be impatient.”
“I suppose you’re right.” Loki stopped walking but didn’t remove his hands. “All right. We’re here.”
You pulled his hands off of your face and found yourself in front of two large green doors.
“Wow.” You said sarcastically. “Doors.
“Open the doors.” He rolled his eyes. You gave him a playful look over your shoulder before pushing the doors open.
“Oh my God.” You gasped when the doors opened. The room was decorated from ceiling to floor with all kinds of Asgardian wildlife. I’m the center of the room, your name was spelled out in the flower Loki had presented you with on the day you met. There was a running waterfall that cascading from the ceiling to the ground, leaving a soothing babbling sound throughout the room.
“It’s yours.” Loki said as he watched your reaction. “You mentioned once that you always wanted a garden. Now you do.”
“Oh, Loki.” You turned around and rushed into his arms. He stumbled back in surprise before hugging you back tightly.
“This is the nicest thing anyones ever done for me.” You mumbled against his chest.
“Well, you’ve been so upset lately. I wanted to cheer you up.” He said as he stroked your hair. It had been a month since he lied to you and told you that Earth was destroyed, and you were finally starting to act like yourself again.
“Thank you.” You pulled away to look at him. “I love it. It’s beautiful.”
“I truly hope you like it, darling.” He said softly as he brushed your cheek with his thumb. “It’s all yours.”
You looked into his eyes for a moment before your gaze fell to his lips. Since your last kiss, Loki had brought you food and kept you company every day. You had a built up a friendship with him since arriving to Asgard, but now you felt differently. There was a connection from the very first day, but it had gotten lost in your lament over your planets alleged destruction. Now, there was nothing stopping you from feeling that connection again. You hesitated before leaning it to kiss him. Just like last time, you felt his eyes flutter shut before he kissed you back. His hands cupped your face as you reached your arms around his neck. Loki watched your first kiss on the screen with a proud but mournful smile.
“Isn’t that something?” Mobius said as he paused the screen. Loki blinked back to reality and wiped his face, not realizing until that moment he had been crying.
“That scene speaks for itself.” Loki cleared his throat and tried to act like he hadn’t been crying. “You can see how happy she was. She loved that garden. And she loved me.”
“I don’t doubt that.” Mobius nodded. “But it’s hard to see past the fact that your entire relationship was built on a lie. She was only with you because she thought her home was destroyed.”
“She was with me for three years.” Loki said sharply. “The lie may have kept her there in the beginning, but she stayed willingly after that. She wanted to be on Asgard. She wanted to be with me.”
“Maybe. But she wasn’t supposed to be.” Mobius reminded him. “That wasn’t her timeline. She was supposed to be on Earth. She was supposed to be with Peter.”
“Peter?” Loki sputtered in disdain. “Peter Parker? Her little boyfriend from when she was a teenager?”
“In most time lines, they end up together.” Mobius said, knocking the wind out of Loki’s chest. “She went on that mission because she wanted to bring him back. Do you think she would have stayed, even for a second, if she knew her boyfriend Peter was alive back on Earth?”
“She told me they were 17 when the Thanos wiped out half the universe. That means Peter would’ve been 17 when he returned. She was 22 when she came to Asgard. She hadn’t been his girlfriend for 5 years. She had grown up. Her life went on. They would’ve had nothing in common anymore.”
“But she was supposed-“
“Who cares what she was supposed to do?” Loki snapped. “Why does the TVA get to decided what she was supposed to do or where she was supposed to be?”
“They’re the Time Keepers. They make the rules. And the rules say you can’t take someone from a different timeline and marry them. Oh, that reminds me.”
“Reminds you of what?”
“Your punishment. Mobius pressed a different button and a cloudy box appeared. “Go in there while I get the rest of your files.”
“What? I’m not going in there.” Loki scoffed.
“Don’t make me get the guards.” Mobius sighed. Loki clenched his jaw and looked at the ceiling, not wanting to be overpowered by the guards again. He reluctantly stood up, gave Mobius a sarcastic smile, and went through the cloudy portal.
As soon as Loki stepped through the portal, he stepped into his bedroom back on Asgard. He took another step forward, just as something stirred in his sheets. You sat up all the sudden, hair messy and wearing Loki’s horned crown. It was too big for your head and hung in your eyes, but the sight still took Loki’s breath away.
“Y/n?” Loki gasped and stepped forward.
“Hi.” You said before yawning. “I wanted to talk to you about something.”
“Go ahead.” Loki nodded eagerly. He failed to see how this was a punishment. It had been so long since he last saw you that this felt more like a reward.
“I want our wedding to be earth themed.” You told him as you took his hands in yours.
“Our…our wedding?” Loki asked. He looked around the room and realized that he was not actually with you, but reliving a memory from years ago.
“Yeah.” You smiled shyly. “I just miss it so much. I want it to be a part of our special day.”
Loki found himself at a loss for words. He knew that when this memory originally happened, he had continued to lie to you and lead you to believe Earth had been destroyed. This time, he knew better and kept his mouth shut.
“We could have sunflowers.” You continued. “That was my favorite flower back on earth. And we could serve earth food and play earth music and-“
“Of course darling.” He cut you off and squeezed your hand. “Whatever you want. We will have it all.”
“Thank you. And if it’s not too much to ask, I want a minute of silence where everyone lights a candle.” You said quietly. “For Peter.”
Loki gulped and forced a smile, that line causing him just as much pain now as it did then.
“Of course.”
“Thank you.” You stood up from the bed and hugged him tightly. Loki hugged you back with a troubling frown on his face. He had forgotten how guilty he felt every time he had to lie to you. He pulled away and brought you into a long kiss, wordlessly trying to convey that he loved you and was sorry.
“I can’t wait. I can’t tell you how much I miss earth.” You sighed against his lips.
“Mm hm.” He gulped.
“I just wish I could’ve seen it one last time.” You frowned, eyes growing tearful. “I feel so guilty all the time. I would’ve died too if I had gone back with Thor when I was supposed to.”
“Then it’s a good thing you didn’t go.” Loki said weakly, knowing Thor was very much alive in your timeline back on Earth.
“I know.” You sighed. “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to shake the survivors guilt. It makes me sick sometimes.”
Loki stayed silent as he fingers drummed against your waist. Before he could respond, his body jerked back and he suddenly reentered the room.
“Hi.” You said before yawning. “I wanted to talk to you about something.”
Loki looked behind him before looking back at you. The memory played all over again, forcing him to lie to you once again. When you told him how guilty you felt, he was sent back and had to relive the moment over again. Each time he had to lie to you, he felt more disgusted with himself. After the thirteenth time, he had enough.
“I just wish I could’ve seen it one last time.” You frowned, eyes growing tearful. “I feel so guilty all the time. I would’ve died too if I had gone back with Thor when I was supposed to.”
“I lied to you.” He admitted. “Earth was never destroyed. Thor and all the Avengers and your family, they’re all fine.”
“What?” You blinked in confusion.
“I’m not your savior. I didn’t save you from anything. I stole you from your time line because I fell in love with you the moment we met. You were the first person to show a a genuine interest in me, and I took advantage of that. And for that, I am deeply, deeply sorry.”
“Oh, Loki.” You sighed and stroked his face. “It’s too late for that.”
“What?” He frowned as he wrapped his hand around your wrist to keep your palm against his face.
“I’m not even here.” You whispered.
“All right Loki.” Mobius walked through the portal before Loki could answer you. “I got the rest of your files. Let’s go.”
“But…I can’t just leave her.” Loki held on to you tightly.
“She’s not even real.” Mobius shrugged as he held up his remote. It pulled Loki back through the portal and he stumbled back into his seat.
“Here’s the last one.” Mobius said, but Loki wasn’t listening. He was still thinking about how it felt to touch you one last time. He blinked back a tear before looking up at the screen. You were there once again, talking to one of the new maids.
“Oh, I wasn’t born here.” He heard you telling the maid. “I’m from Earth.”
“A midgardian?” The maid smiled. “Wow. You’re quite far from home.”
“I know.” You smiled sadly. “I miss it every day. But I’m happy here. I’m really happy with Loki.”
“If you miss it, why don’t you go back?” The maid asked, making Loki suck in a breath. He knew exactly what was coming.
“Go back?” You furrowed your eyebrows. “What do you mean? Earth was destroyed three years ago.”
“No it wasn’t.” The nurse laughed. “Earth is fine.”
The audio faded out as you turned to look at Loki. He felt like you were looking right through him, down to his rotten soul. Your face was frozen in horror and betrayal as you finally learned the truth. Three years after arriving on Asgard, you found out your home hadn’t been destroyed after all. It was all a lie. A lie told to you by the man you thought you loved.
“Stop.” Loki choked out. “Stop it. Turn it off.”
Mobius paused the screen and looked at Loki in silence. To his surprise, Loki was wiping his tears off on the sleeves of his jumpsuit. His eyes were red and full of remorse as he looked up at the screen.
“I don’t need it see it again.” He whispered. “I know she trusted me. I know I betrayed her. I did that.”
“So you understand why the TVA is arresting you?” Mobius asked softly. “You didn’t just steal the tesseract. You stole that girl from her reality. Even if she loved you, she was never supposed to be with you.”
Loki nodded before hanging his head in shame. He knew what he had done was wrong. He knew it the entire time he was doing it. Even though he betrayed you out of his love for you, he still betrayed you.
“You’re right.” Loki said sincerely. “She was never mine to keep. Never mine to lose either.”
“No, she wasn’t.” Mobius agreed as he watched Loki curiously. The look of utter remorse on Loki’s face was out of character after everything Mobius had studied about him.
“Could you just tell me if she’s all right?” Loki sniffled. “That’s all I ask. Is she okay?”
“She’s fine.” Mobius answered. “She’s fighting for the Avengers again and reunited with her family.”
“Is she still miserable?”
“No.” Mobius smiled a little. “Not anymore.”
“And…and Peter?” His voice was barely audible now.
“Don’t worry about that.” Mobius told him. “It won’t do you any good. And for what it’s worth, there are timelines that exists where she stays. There’s even a timeline where you two are alligators and rule a kingdom in a lake.”
Loki smiled too, grateful that you were able to move on after his betrayal. Mobius furrowed his eyebrows at the sight of Loki genuinely caring about another human being, something he was not used to seeing.
“I could show you one more thing.” Mobius offered sympathetically. Loki reluctantly looked back at the screen as the man his play. To his surprise, all the good moments of his relationship with you flashed before him. All the kisses and laughter, fond smiles and endearing moments played on the screen, bringing tears to his eyes. He leaned toward on the table to get as close to you as possible, reaching out towards you with his shackled hands. The screen went blank suddenly, and his smile fell.
“They’re ready for you.” Mobius said as he checked his phone. “I can take you to the court now.”
Loki stayed silent as he was lead to the courtroom and sat in front of the judge. All he could think about was the moments of happiness he had been able to relive.
“Loki Laufeyson.” The judge brought his attention back. “How do you plead?
Loki blinked a few times, your smile flashing before him each time he closed his eyes. He thought about he had caused that smile to fade with every lie he told, and that’s when he knew he had his answer. He looked the judge right in the eye and entered his plea.
“Guilty.”

“So, you’d like to go out?”
You stared at the new variant, your fingers stopped writing on the typewriter. He had this smirk of his, leaning down on you in the other side of the counter. It was common for Loki to come and talk, or flirt shamelessly with you since a few days ago. So you chuckled at his question.
“Where exactly? We’re locked up here, remember?”
“I feel like you get bored a lot,” Loki said.
“More than I would like to admit,” you accepted, adjusting your glasses on the bride of yout nose.
He shifted his posture and you knew he was up for something. You knew him since he arrived to check some files, along with Mobius, who was someone you never really talked to until Loki approached to you. But Loki... he was something else. Maybe he had too much confidence on himself, but quickly you noticed he searched for you every time he could.
“Tell me what are you planning, Loki,” you narrowed your eyes, behind your glasses.
He licked his lips, eliciting a strange but known feeling inside you. You felt your legs squeezing together unconsciously. Loki leaned down and whispered softly to you.
“Do you have those files?”
Tumblr media
“Loki,” you gasped. He had you pinned against the last shelf on the place, where you supposedly were to look up for the information he had been seeking for. He slowly pushed into you, your legs around his waist, holding on his arms for dear life while he fucked you deeply. Your glasses almost falling off from your pretty face at every thrust of him.
His low groans felt against your neck, where he left some kisses and soft bitten skin. Loki pulled out and slammed again inside you, making you moan louder. You hid your head on his shoulder, the sound of your skins slapping and the obscene smell of sex filled the place.
The excting fear of getting caught got on your mind, and you almost came to your high for this only thought. Your walls clenched around his dick, making him grunt.
“You’re such a good girl,” Loki whispered darkly, inhaling the scent of your skin. His words made you clench around him again and he chuckled. “Taking my cock like the whore I always knew you were.”
You moaned, feeling the familiar knot on your belly.
“Use your words, or I’m stopping,” he ordered.
“Yes, sir, I’m a whore, please make me cum,” you begged.
Loki smirked, taking you on his arms, your bodies still bonded together, and walked to the nearest desk, lying you down there. He spread your legs apart, lifting up your skirt and showing more your breasts through your blouse.
His hips moved again, making wonders on your body. His hands grabbed your sides that surely will leave marks on you later on. The place was empty by that time, not a single soul could think you were being fucked by a god on that desk.
Your glasses where almost falling again and you managed to leave them on again all the time. Loki’s cock twitched inside you, hitting your g-spot now. Soft whimpers left your mouth.
“Fuck, you look so shy and still I know you’d let me take you on every surface in this place until you only remember my name,” he teased, playing with your clit.
His big hands moved to cup your tits as he fucked you roughly. You bit your lip, taking his right hand and placing it on around your neck softly. Loki got the hint and wrapped his fingers around the skin, starting to choke you slightly until you felt your breath was leaving your body for a moment.
It felt like heaven. The way he pounded into your pussy, the sound of your skins, your sounds mixing together and his hands roaming on your throath and your half naked body, while he was basically fully clothed was pure bliss.
“I’m going to cum, please, can I cum?” you begged.
“Cum for me, then,” he breathed, giving your lips a harsh and sloppy kiss. You came down from your high and Loki swallowed all your moans and cries with his own lips.
He made you sit down on the desk, thrusting into your still sensitive cunt until he reached his own high, releasing his seed inside you. His hands stayed around your neck, without making any pressure on your skin.
“That was so fucking good, I even forgot why we came here,” you breathed, collapsing on his chest.
Loki adjusted your glasses and smiled, fixing your skirt.
“I still needs those files, love.”
