[inspired roughly by this post. My brain snails started going nuts so I thought it'd be easier to post this separately :)]
It was a lovely day in Gotham. Well, as lovely as it could be. The sun was up, peeking through the overhead cloud cover and making the buildings gleam in the rare sunlight. The air was fresher than usual, and faucets ran clear of strange and unusual toxins.
Somewhere in the Upper East Side, in a little neighborhood tucked away from the rest of the city, marched around the new boss of the area. She was a young girl, just barely in high school. But despite it being the middle of a work day, she wandered around her chosen streets, content to do whatever she wanted. Above her, a pair of siblings watched on and discussed the unique situation.
"So let me get this straight: that fourteen-year-old goth girl is a crime boss?"
Mia smiled at Leon, her older brother, and his dumbfounded expression as they rested on her balcony. "She's fifteen, actually. Her birthday just passed. We all got together and threw a block party for her!"
"You know how insane that sounds, right?" Leon turned to her, a bit miffed that she dared to say those words to his face. "She's a kid. Why do you all listen to her?"
Mia shrugged and sipped her beer. "She does good work. Holds her own pretty well, and the kid has connections. Good ones, too. That can be the difference between life and death in Gotham."
Leon rubbed his forehead in frustration. "I just don't get it. How did she end up in this line of work? Do child labor laws even apply here?? Why aren't the Bats doing anything?"
"Don't think about it too much, dipshit." Mia crushed her now-empty beer can in her hand and tucked it into a paper garbage bag hanging off of a hook on the balcony rail. A familiar set of green arrows was printed on the side.
"And now you're recycling?!" Leon realized. "When did you start doing that, Mia??"
The woman shrugged and got up, stretching. "Probably around the time Brambles absolutely reamed out Mrs. Zalinski for littering at the park."
"Wait, who's Brambles?" Leon scrambled upright and followed his sister inside.
Mia laughed. "Brambles is our fifteen-year-old crime boss!"
...
"I can't believe you got a cool name right off the bat," Danny grumbled, flopping onto Sam's bed face-first. Sam smirked and shoved him off with her foot. Danny just squawked and let himself ragdoll to the ground.
"It's your fault for not having a better gimmick." She said to his prone body. "Besides, it could've been worse."
"I think Inviso-Bill is the worst possible nickname for anyone." Danny groaned. "But you got something cool immediately. Who even thought up 'Brambles'? That's such a unique name!"
"Well the kids call you Grim; that's pretty cool."
Danny flopped over, twisting himself much farther than any human was supposed to just so he could glare at her face. "They only call me that cause one of the is obsessed with Harry Potter." He grumbled, pouting.
Sam just rolled her eyes and went back to sorting through piles of papers scattered all across her duvet. Since moving to Gotham several months ago, Sam had taken it upon herself to turn the experience into something useful rather than just moping all the time, as she originally wanted to. That 'something useful' had landed her as the newest crime boss in Gotham, with about a third of the Upper East Side as her current territory.
So many problems had popped up in the last year, and the group had decided that taking it on alone would never work. The GIW had been trying to close Amity's borders, Danny's parents had a scientific breakthrough, tensions in the Realms were high, etc. There was a lot on their plate! Sam's solution was to create a foothold in Gotham City. She would lay the foundations for Jazz to work in Arkham and forge a safer environment for the residents of Amity Park to sneak off to if the GIW went too far. She was essentially weaving a cushion for everyone to fall back on.
Danny, using the power of duplication, was splitting his focus between foiling his parent's plans and resolving issues with his rouges to create a united front. He was the main distraction, and Sam's own heavy hitter when she needed help establishing dominance.
Tucker planned to gather intel with the help of Technus and Jazz. They were trying to gather as much evidence as possible so they'd be in the clear when the whistle blew. The GIW would crash and burn, legally speaking. They were the bugs of the operation, spreading themselves thin and hoarding information like it was candy.
Dani was their wild card, their jester. She was keeping the JLD's attention focused solely on her and all the supernatural hijinks she was stirring up. When the time was right, she'd point them in the direction needed and let them loose. After winding them up so much, the hope was that the Justice League Dark would descend upon the GIW like hellfire.
But those were their future plans. Right now, Sam was in possession of specific files from Arkham Asylum and the GCPD. She was looking for anything to give her an edge in the upcoming meeting with a few other crime bosses. Some annual thing they host to renew Goonion contracts, see who's still alive, and examine how much the territory lines have changed. Stuff like that. Red Hood was supposed to be there, and she knew she needed an ironclad defense against him and his nosy colony of Bats.
Danny untwisted himself all of a sudden, making a weird face. "Sorry, got to go." He apologized. "Vlad just showed up to my house."
Sam waved him off. "Go, I'll be fine for today. Just be on time for the meeting on Friday. And I want you, not a double."
"You got it!" Danny did finger guns at her and promptly melted into a pile of green goo. Right on her bedroom floor!
Sam sighed and got up to throw a towel over the puddle. The ectoplasm would evaporate eventually, returning to the original Danny little by little. But for now, this would keep anyone from asking about it until it was all gone.
Sometimes she really hated living in student dorms. People always felt the need to burst into her room for no reason.
Who even made dorm rooms for high schoolers in the first place??
...
Jason couldn't help but stare at the new recruit.
Well, 'new recruit' wasn't exactly accurate. 'Potential to be the most headache-inducing supervillain' was more like it. Standing at a solid 5'10" with platform boots, Brambles, the newest crime lord who had taken over half of the Upper East Side in under four months, was almost tall enough to look him in the eye straight on. Which she tried to do anyways, tilting her chin up oh-so-slightly (in that stupid way aristocrats do when they want to look down at you) and glaring at him with open hostility.
Brambles was young, way too young to be in this line of business. At the start of the annual underground crime meeting (yes, they couldn't come up with a better name), she had announced that she was fifteen, went by she/her, and would snap the dick off of anyone who looked at her funny. Most everyone laughed at her, thinking it was an empty threat. Brambles proved it wasn't by sucker-punching a younger lieutenant who tried to get handsy with her five minutes into the meeting.
When the lieutenant's boss protested and threatened a gang war, Brambles had snapped her fingers and summoned what could only be a fucking pit demon from the depths of hell to threaten the man back. The creature looked like a teenager, just like Brambles, at first. But it was...off. The longer you looked, the worse it got.
It wore a draping black cloak that covered most of its body, with the ends turning to mist when it reached the floor. It had a pale, young face and white hair. Its eyes glowed just like Brambles', except they were a toxic green that made Jason's heart skip a beat in fear. The creature was snarling, with a fucking muzzle on it to keep its sharp teeth away from wandering fingers.
With a nod from Brambles, the creature bounded forward and knocked the guy to the floor, its arm elbow-deep into the guy's chest. The dude looked terrified, and a little sick "Would you rather lose a lieutenant or your life?" She had snarled, sounding almost a bit demonic herself. The other boss had backed down without another word, writing off his subordinate as dead and gone.
Instead of killing the guy, however, Brambles simply banished her little guard dog to a corner of the warehouse to play with its new toy in peace.
"Is she allowed to do that?" Someone whispered.
"They weren't unionized, so the Goonion won't say anything." Another answered.
It was the most awkward meeting in the history of the criminal underworld. No one even died since they were all focused on the newcomer.
Jason could feel a headache forming as the meeting came to an end. Brambles was still sitting in her chair. The creature had grown bored of its toy and was leaning against her, sprawled out lazily and barely flicking an ear at the onlookers in acknowledgment. A few people were idling around her, mostly women, trying to talk some big game and get on the kid's good side. Brambles was humoring them, taking tight control of the conversation when they got too prying.
Jason sighed. He knew he'd have to go over and have a talk with the kid, even if it was just for Bruce's files. He hauled himself upwards and stalked over. "Pardon me, ladies and gents, but I'm going to borrow the kiddo here for a moment."
The creature hissed at him, tensed at his approach. Brambles kept a tight grip on the back of its muzzle, keeping it grounded. The other criminals scattered like flies. They were the only two (three?) left in the warehouse within minutes.
Bramble rose to glare at him. "What." She spat. "If you're here to convince me not to get involved with anything, I will set Grim on your ass after lighting it on fire."
The creature, Grim, growled in agreement. The sound echoed strangely like he was hearing it from underwater.
"Relax, I'm not here to do any of that." Jason raised his hands in surrender, immediately abandoning that possible line of thought. "I'm just here to talk business. You're young, and while you don't want to admit it, inexperienced."
"Stop the fancy words, Red Hood." Brambles' eyes glowed again, and she released her hold on Grim's muzzle. "If you want to make a deal, say it to my face. If you're here to dig for information, either ask me or hit the road. I prefer honesty over flower talk, so tell me what you want before I take over your area, too."
Jason bristled. His vision was tinted green as he snapped, "What the fuck is your problem, kid?! I just wanted to make sure you were safe and not being forced to do this. I was even going to offer my support and protection if it was too much! I know you aren't going to stop, but that doesn't mean I want a kid to die just because they got into something they shouldn't and they think their fancy guard dog will always be there to protect them!"
Brambles' eyes stopped glowing, and her stare softened a bit. Grim went deadly still, just floating there, staring at Jason. His heart beat like crazy in his chest. What was he saying? It was all true, but he could've been nicer about it. Dick would've found a way to be nicer.
-krrrk- "Ibis, reporting in. I think you can trust him, guys. Even if he's a Bat, his connections and experience would be useful in our plans. Ibis out." -krrrk-
Jason flinched from the sudden noise, looking around to find the source. It sounded like it had come from everywhere, even inside his own helmet. Brambles immediately switched out her hostile look for an annoyed one, tapping an earpiece he hadn't noticed before.
"Ibis, you really have to stop opening up our comm lines to the public." She snapped, but there was no real heat to it. "And I thought I told you to stop eavesdropping!"
-krrrk- "Sorry, can't help it. I'm everywhere now! You shouldn't have given me this power." -krrrk-
Grim hissed.
-krrrk- "Don't hiss at me, young man! You were the one who suggested this!" -krrrk-
"I'm sorry, time out!" Jason made a T with his hands. The green from his vision had completely disappeared now. "What the FUCK is going on now?"
Brambles sighed, rubbing her temples. "You know what? Fine. We'll trust you. My name is Sam. Nice to meet you, Jason Todd."
Jason stepped back, immediately reaching for his gun. Grim darted forward and promptly flew through him, stealing all his weapons in one go. "I'm Danny!" Grim-Danny?-chirped in a human voice, giving him a shit-eating smile. "Sorry for the act, Mr. Hood. And sorry about the name drop, I'm the one that told them."
-krrrk- "I'm Tucker! There are more of us, but they're busy. I have literally so many questions for you, Mr. Hood." -krrrk-
"Now that introductions are over-Danny don't eat his smoke bombs, you're not gonna look like Dorathea-we'd like your help."
Jason squinted at them. "You understand this is all suspicious as fuck, right? And how did a pit demon find out who I am?"
-krrrk- "Yeah, we know. But lives are on the line here, and I think you'd really be a help!" -krrrk-
Brambles-Sam-sighed and pulled out a flash drive. "I was going to use this as leverage, but I guess it'll have to be useful in other ways." She tossed it to Jason, who numbly caught it. "Look over it if you want. If you don't, then just burn it. Do not try to plug it into the Batcomputer. Don't try to send it to the Batcomputer, either. A virus will target that specific IP address as soon as it makes contact. Any other computer is fine."
"Look it over, and we can go from there," Danny added, spinning in midair while chomping on one of Jason's knives. (His good one, too!) "And I'm not a pit demon, but I am dead. That's how I knew about you. Whatever brought you back to life gave the Realms a real headache for a while. It wasn't hard to look you up in the records."
"This is so much information. Lives are on the line? And two, three kids are dealing with it? By becoming crime bosses?"
-krrrk- "Technically, Sam's the only crime boss here. And that was kind of an accident. She was supposed to create a safe foothold in Gotham in case we needed to evacuate our town. But we all got cool nicknames out of it! And you're the only adult we've told this stuff to!" -krrrk-
"I'm what?"
"The only adult." Sam's unwavering gaze seemed to pierce his soul. "There are quite literally no other adults that can help, Red Hood. None that we trust, not really. Any adult intervention needs to be planned carefully so it doesn't backfire on us. We're trusting you here, Jason. Not only are you like us, which technically puts you in danger too, but you have power and connections to support a whole town of people the government wants to eradicate."
Jason looked at the little green flash drive in his hand. He didn't want to ask. "And this...?"
"A fruit basket," Sam said simply. "Originally, it was supposed to be blackmail. But instead, this is a present to show our goodwill and faith. To show you our skills. That drive contains information on other gangs, upcoming rogue attacks, chemical breakdowns of Joker Venom and Fear Gas, unfinished antidote formulas, etc. Tucker and his team scoured the underbelly of Gotham and gathered dirt on every single prominent figurehead. Including Bruce Wayne, should you choose to use it."
"I would never-"
"But you've thought about it." Danny cut in and scratched his neck. Jason's hands shook. "It's not a bad thing. It's just the nature of the dead. Wanting to right the wrongs left over from their time with the living. Even if you walk and breathe now, that doesn't mean desire disappears."
"The point is, we need help. Even if I'm loathe to admit it." Sam rolled her eyes, and suddenly, Jason didn't see a potential supervillain in the making. He saw a teenager trying her best, shouldering the responsibility of hundreds of people, both in Gotham and her hometown. Danny looked the same, no matter how other-worldly he was. What battles were they facing? Why weren't there any adults to turn to? What kind of lives were they leading if they immediately trusted a known crime lord with their lives upon the first meeting?
"I'll think about it." Jason finally said. Danny trilled in excitement, and some tension bled out of Sam's shoulders. "If the situation is bad enough, however, I'm calling in someone else for help."
Danny shrugged. "As long as it ain't Batman! I don't think he'll appreciate us smuggling a town of liminals into his city."
Sam poked Danny's shoulder, prompting him to look at her. "Let's go, before you break his brain with more info-dumping. Bye Red Hood!"
"Uh, yeah. Goodbye!" Jason stuttered. He watched the two kids walk towards the exit door, before shimmering out of sight before they even touched the handle.
What the fuck.

Read part 2 here
Author's note: My first language is not English. I'm sorry if this is confused I lost inspiration along the way. Tell me what you think. Part 2?
I had all and then most of you Some and now none of you Take me back to the night we met
The roar of the Old Trafford crowd vibrated through the press box, but for you, it was a dull thrum compared to the storm brewing inside you. Your eyes flicked across the pitch, not to celebrate a goal, but to land on the figure currently terrorizing your mind - Mason Mount.
The boy you knew, the one whose smile could melt glaciers, was a distant memory. Now, every scowl and aggressive run on the field felt like a barbed message, a silent accusation. To you.
Three years. Three years since your paths diverged, leaving a gaping hole in your life. Now, fate had deposited both of you at Manchester United - you, a familiar star reporter, and him, the new name of the red team. Every interview was an excruciating dance. His curt answers and glacial stares were a constant reminder of the love story unfortunately cut short.
Today's post-game press conference promised to be no different. Taking a deep breath, you steeled yourself. As Mason strode into the room, the air crackled with an intangible tension. Your eyes met for a fleeting moment, a spark of something…familiar? It vanished as quickly as it appeared, replaced by the new icy indifference that was only directed to you. You forced a professional smile, your heart thudding a chaotic rhythm against your ribs. The cameras flashed, the microphones materialized. Time to get down to business.
"Mason," You began, your voice firm despite the jitters in your stomach, "a disappointing result today. Can you share your thoughts on what went wrong?"
Mason, a chiseled face creased with a deep frown, looked up at you. His eyes, usually sparkling with competitive fire, were clouded with a frustration that went beyond the loss. "There's no right answer, no magic formula to explain a defeat like this. We were slow on the uptake, sloppy with our passes, and frankly, the other team just wanted it more. We all know we're better than that performance out there."
"The fans are eager to understand," You said gently. "Can you elaborate on what the team will do to address these mistakes in the upcoming match?"
Mason sighed, a deep breath that seemed to carry the weight of the entire team's disappointment. "We'll go back to the basics. We'll work harder, push each other further in training. It's all about rediscovering that killer instinct, that hunger for victory that seems to have gone missing today."
"Will that be enough?"
"Sometimes the best way to address mistakes it's about remembering why we fell in love with something in the first place. We need to rediscover that spark, that joy that sets our hearts ablaze. When that fire burns bright again, the rest will fall into place, believe me."
His gaze lingered on you for a bit longer than necessary. In that moment, the years seemed to melt away, replaced by a raw intensity that made your breath catch in your throat. Was he just talking about football, or was there something more?
"Thanks for your time, Mason." He offered a curt nod in response, brushing past you as he exited the interview area. The contact was brief, a brush of his shoulder against yours. He didn't apologize, but then again, no apology was necessary. You both knew exactly what that touch meant.
Sam, the cameraman put down the camera and gave you an intriguing look. "I never saw you so... tense, in a interview before."
You sighed, the pressure easing slightly now that the interview was over. "I just didn't slept well, that's all." You said, carefully playing with the mic in your hand.
"Uh-huh," Sam said, clearly unconvinced. "Have you met him outside of work? Everytime you interview him, the body language between you two is weird."
"No. Not at all. I don't even know the guy." The weight of the unspoken truth settled heavily in your gut.
He studied you for a moment longer, his brow furrowed. "O... kay!"
You looked away from Sam and scanned the interview room. In the far corner, stood Mason. He was talking with another reporter, but his eyes were already locked on yours. You swallowed a lump in your throat and quickly looked away. The last thing you needed was to be caught staring.
"I think we should go."
The door creaked open, as you practically stumbled into the apartment, kicking it shut with a heavy sigh. Your roommate and best friend, Clare, was sprawled on the couch, a half-eaten bowl of cheetos on her lap while she scrolled through her phone, with the TV playing on the background.
"Rough night?" Clare asked, as you flopped down onto the armchair opposite her.
"You could say that." You said. "He makes me so nervous. Everytime I interview him, it's like someone's squezing my lungs."
"Oh, you poor thing." She mocked you. "When are you going to tell him the truth? The real reason why you broke things off with him?"
You stood up already not feeling like having a deep conversation. "It was three years ago. Why would I do that now?" You opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water.
"Because you still like him. If you didn't, you wouldn't get nervous around the guy." You hated how right she was.
"I don't like him, like that. Not anymore. It's just... Complicated talking to him and be around him again."
"I saw the interview. I saw how you were shaking while holding the microphone and the way you looked at him." Claire got up and walked toward you. She grabbed your shoulders and looked you in the eyes. "You need to stop lying to yourself."
The aroma of grilled steaks hung heavy in the air as the team finished their dinner at Luke's house. Plates were pushed aside, replaced with beers and lively conversation. Despite the loss that still weighed on their shoulders, the camaraderie between the teammates was undeniable.
The talk eventually turned to the post-game interviews, and all eyes turned to Mason, who sat brooding in the corner.
"Alright, mate," Martínez, nudged Mason with his elbow. "What was all that with Y/n in the interview? When you talk to her it always looks like you're about to swallow a lemon whole. And the way you bumped your shoulder against hers..." Mason shot him a glare that usually made Martínez back down, but not tonight. In fact, he leaned in further, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Spill the beans, Mason. Is there some hidden tension we don't know about?"
Mason scowled, a faint blush creeping up his neck at the thought. "There is nothing there. She's just not my cup of tea."
"Are you sure about that?" Bruno ever the voice of reason, chimed in. "I know she worked for Chelsea a long time ago, covering you guys. Maybe there's some history there we don't know about?"
Mason froze, the memory of a younger, more carefree you, flashing in his mind. "There's no history, Bruno. Just... annoyance."
Marcus raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Annoyance, huh? That's the story you're sticking with?"
Mason scowled, running a hand through his hair. "Look, it doesn't matter. What happened, happened. We're both professionals now."
"Professionals, yeah right," Marcus snorted, leaning back in his chair. "The way you looked at her today, after the interview... It doesn't look professional at all."
Mason fell silent, lost in thought. His gaze fixed on the flickering flames in the fireplace, as his friends playful jabs continued around him.
The roar of the Chelsea fans echoed in your ears long after the final whistle. Your gaze fixed Mason celebrating with his teammates. He was a blur, and a wave of emotions washed over you: pride, admiration, and a flicker of something more potent.
Later that night as the celebrations took over, you found yourselves drawn towards each other.
"Thought you'd be writing victory epics already." He said, a touch breathless from the celebration. You tilted your head, your smile playful but shy.
"Actually, I do have to go," You admitted, your voice dropping a touch lower. "But I mean, the real story might be happening right here." Mason let out a chuckle. "You were incredible tonight," You murmured, looking up at him.
"Thanks," he mumbled, his gaze dropping to your lips. The air crackled with unspoken desire. "You look absolutely beautiful tonight." Mason said, his voice slightly husky above the music. He leaned in closer, his eyes sparkling and you blushed.
"As beautiful as that trophy you've been practically worshipping all night?" You asked playfully. His gaze flickers between your eyes and lips.
"There's nothing more beautiful than you." A blush crept up on your neck.
Mason closed the gap between you, his kiss hesitant at first, then deepening with unexpected fervor. You lost yourselves in the moment, the music and the party fading away. Just as the kiss began to heat up, a voice boomed from behind you.
"Well, well, well! Look who's celebrating with a bang!" You jumped apart, breaking the kiss with startled gasps. Standing there, grinning from ear to ear, was Jorginho, obviously intoxicated. "Didn't know you two were such close colleagues," Jorginho continued, his eyebrows wagging suggestively. "Maybe I should write the headline for tomorrow's paper: 'Mason Mount Scores Off the Pitch!'"
Your cheeks burned with a mixture of frustration and embarrassment. The moment, so beautifully unexpected, had been shattered, but the memory of the kiss lingered on your lips.
Mason tossed and turned in his bed, the sheets tangled around him. Images of you flashed through his mind, vivid and unexpected, stealing his sleep. Every memory – the laughter he knew so well, the way your lips used to mould together – sent a jolt through him. He squeezed his eyes shut, willing the images away, but they persisted. Now that he was in Manchester, seeing you again messed everything up.
With a frustrated groan, he reached for his phone on the nightstand. The cool metal felt grounding in his heated palm. He scrolled through his social media feeds, the mindless scrolling failing to distract him. Finally, he gave in to the urge and tapped on his photo gallery.
There, nestled among pictures of his friends and family, was a photo that took his breath away. It was you, from a date night back in London three years ago. You were leaning against his old car, a playful smile on your lips, your eyes sparkling with love.
He zoomed in on the picture, studying your face. A million questions swirled in his mind. Did you ever think about him? Did you ever feel the same way? ... Why did you leave him?
The car stopped in front of your apartment building. Mason glanced over at you, a question flickering in his eyes. Your stomach clenched, a fist of dread tightening its grip.
"Mason," You started, your voice barely a whisper. The words you had rehearsed a thousand times in your head seemed to evaporate on your tongue.
He turned his gaze fully on you, a hopeful smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Yeah?"
Taking a shaky breath, you forced ourself to meet his eyes. "This isn't working."
His smile faltered, replaced by a flicker of confusion. "What do you mean?"
"Us," You blurted out, the words tumbling over each other in a rush. "This whole thing. It can't keep going."
"Why not?" His voice was barely above a murmur.
Tears welled up in your eyes, blurring his worried expression. "I... I got a job offer in Manchester. With United." The words felt foreign on your tongue, a betrayal of everything you had built.
A pained silence descended, heavy and suffocating. His hand instinctively reached for yours, but you flinched away, the movement a physical manifestation of the distance now growing between you.
"You're leaving?" His voice was rough, laced with disbelief. "Just like that?"
"I have to," You whispered, the lie a bitter taste. "Long distance never works. It's not fair to either of us."
"We could try," he pleaded, his voice cracking. "We could make it work."
The desperation in his eyes was almost too much to bear. "It's not about the distance, Mason." But the truth, the blackmail hanging over your head like a dark cloud.
"Then what is it?" he demanded, his voice rising slightly. "Because from where I'm standing, it feels like you're throwing everything we have away."
Shame burned in your throat, acrid and suffocating. "It's not that simple," You choked out. "There's just... I have to go."
His jaw clenched, his expression hardening into a mask of anger and hurt. "I guess that's it then," he said finally, his voice cold. "If you can't even be honest with me..." The engine roared back to life, the sound a harsh counterpoint to the tension that had fallen between you. "I..." He hesitated, then blurted out, "I fell in love with you."
Your breath hitched. The words hung in the air, heavy and heartbreaking. There was so much you wanted to say, to confess.
With a choked sob, you lied. "Mason, it's been great getting to know you, but..." You hesitated. "Love? No. Not even close."
He stared at the picture on his phone, the playful smile you used to flash him a constant reminder of what he'd lost. Maybe you were right about long distance, maybe it wouldn't have worked. But the way you flinched away from his touch, the choked sob that escaped you... those weren't things a simple goodbye could explain.
He slammed his phone on the nightstand. He couldn't let you walk away again, not without a fight. He didn't care about the reasons you gave, the distance, whatever it was. Seeing you again had ignited a fire in him, a determination to win you back. Maybe you didn't love him then, but that didn't mean things couldn't change. He wouldn't give up without a fight. This time, he'd hear the truth.
The bass throbbed through your chest as you stumbled down the dimly lit hallway, a misplaced sense of confidence fueled by tequila and flashing lights. You spotted the line for the bathrooms and was navigating towards it when, as you celebrated a friend's birthday, a figure materialized in front of you, blocking your path.
It was Mason.
His write shirt stood out starkly against the dark backdrop of the club, completely out of place. Even in the dim lighting, you could see the way his jaw clenched, a flicker of something warring between anger and surprise in his blue eyes.
A nervous flutter erupted in your stomach, warring with the tequila already muddling your thoughts. "Mason," you managed, a single word that escaped on a breath. "What are you doing here?"
He shifted, looking slightly uncomfortable. "Came with a friend," he muttered, his eyes flickering to your bare legs before returning to your face. "Couldn't believe it when I saw you walk in."
You felt your cheeks flush, a mixture of surprise and something more unwelcome – a fluttering in your stomach. "Couldn't believe what?" You asked, your voice breathy.
He scanned the hallway behind you, his gaze landing on nowhere in particular before returning to you. "Getting wasted with… whoever that was."
You frowned, the memory of a friendly conversation with a guy from the bar twisting in your mind. "It was no one," you protested, a touch defensive. "He was just being friendly."
He scoffed, a harsh sound that sent a shiver down your spine. "Right," he said, his voice tight. "The Y/n who swore she'd never touch a drop after…"
His words trailed off, hanging heavy in the air. Fueled by the alcohol and his accusing tone, you raised your hand and slapped him across the face.
For a moment, you stood frozen. Mason's eyes, wide with shock. Then, in a move so swift it took your breath away, he slammed you back against the wall, his lips finding yours in a rough, almost desperate kiss.
You, even caught off guard, found yourself responding to the kiss. It wasn't the sweet, shy kisses of the past, but a hungry, possessive collision of lips. The taste of tequila and something deeper, a longing you'd both harbored for years, tangled on your tongue.
His hands on your hips, his touch warm against the thin fabric of your dress. Your own hands, hesitant at first, found their way around his neck, pulling him closer. The pounding rhythm of the music from the club seemed to fade away, replaced by the frantic beat of you heart.
But just as quickly as it started, you gained courage and pulled away, you hand pressed against his chest. His eyes, ablaze with a mixture of anger and something else, burned into your.
"Why did you leave?" he demanded, his voice raw with emotion. And his hand still warm on your hip.
Tears welled up in your eyes. Shame washed over you, battling with the raw emotions the kiss had unearthed.
"They made me!" You blurted out, a confession you'd held for far too long. Mason stared at you, his face a mask of confusion. "Forget it," You whispered. Turning on your heel, you stumbled towards the exit, desperate to escape the suffocating weight of the moment.
A hand shot out, grabbing your wrist before you could take another step. Mason's grip was firm, but gentle.
"Y/n," he pleaded, his voice laced with concern. "What are you talking about? Who made you leave?"
But you shook your head, tears blurring your vision. The memory of threats, the fear that had driven you away from the man you were in love with was too raw to relive.
"Just… forget it." You repeated, your voice barely a whisper. With a final tug, you pulled free from his grasp and disappeared, leaving Mason standing alone in the hallway, confused and filled with a dawning realization that there was far more to their past than he ever knew.
The old popcorn on the floor crunched under your feet as you stormed into your younger sister's bedroom. The light from the TV cast a glow on the room. Your 17-year-old sister, Lily, sprawled on the bed, oblivious to the hurricane brewing inside you.
"What did you do?" Your voice cracked. Tears welled up in your eyes, blurring your vision. "Why can't you be a normal teenager?"
Lily, bathed in the blue light of the phone screen, finally looked up. "I didn't know he was filming us," she mumbled, her voice laced with a teenage defiance that ignited a fire in your chest. "Don't be so dramatic!"
"He's blackmailing me because of you, Lily!" You yelled, the dam of your emotions finally bursting. "I have to leave my job, my friends and Mason, because of this, of course I'm being dramatic! You're so irresponsible. You never think about how your actions can destroy others!"
Lily scoffed, rolling her eyes. "So what if you need to leave your job? You'll find a new one," she said, her voice dripping with a casualness that made you want to scream. "And Mason? You'll find another dumb player to date in the new club."
The flippant dismissal of your relationship with Mason was the final straw. Fury surged through you, momentarily eclipsing the despair that threatened to consume you. You lunged for a decorative box on the dresser. With a deafening crash, the box shattered on the floor, its contents scattering like broken dreams.
"This is my chance to go to Cambridge!" Lily shrieked, finally understanding the gravity of the situation. "That video will be destroyed, you just have to leave the guy. I'm your sister. We're family. You're supposed to help me."
You stared at your sister. "I can't believe you're actually okay with me sacrificing my life because of this."
"This is my future," Lily pleaded, "You're 21, you'll find a lot of Masons in your life."
A humorless laugh escaped your lips. "This isn't just about Mason – although it hurts like hell that you think so little of my relationship. It's about the principle. You can't just expect me to throw away my happiness to clean up your mess."
"Our family will never forgive you if you don't do this," she whimpered, clutching the phone tighter as if it were a lifeline. "Show everyone that you're not the black sheep of the family."

I read your post about Supernatural being queer somehow from season 1 and I have two questions.
1. Don't you think it straight-appropriates the word "queer" to say it just means "not normal"? That argument seems disingenuous to me, and a lot of us want representation, and to see that word applied to explicit depiction of queer sexuality, and it's a cheat that they don't. Queer studies did start as the study of queer sexualities and the experience of queer people.
2. Are you saying that the makers of Supernatural intended for it to be "flesh on queer bones"? Do you think they intentionally sat down to tell a queer story?
Those are good questions my anonymous friend. Thank you for asking. Here are my thoughts:
To answer your first question: no, I don't think it appropriates anything. Here's why: firstly, if we're talking about sexuality and gender, it's queer 101 that no one owes anyone a justification of their queerness, and not everyone who is queer is interested in labeling it or making it legible to you, and they have no obligation to do so, and not doing so doesn't make them any less queer. Furthermore, some people who are queer are not interested in sex, so what about them?
All of that together is why, for me, the entire queer project is much more deeply about non-compliance with hegemony, and specifically with hegemony around gender roles, sexuality and to put it under a big umbrella, patriarchy, than it is about who you fuck. Those things extend into so many other aspects of life that I think you can easily talk about "queering" a very wide range of topics, and possibly? ANY TOPIC.
You are responding to this post, I think, and in it, I made a choice to talk about family and hunting, and our heroes roles and characterizations in that, and did not talk about gender shenanigans or sexuality, because my point was that even before we get to anything to do with it, Sam and Dean are immersed in a queered world in a fundamental, structural way. That said, I assure you that if you go back into season 1 of Supernatural, you will find LOADS that could be said about gender and sexuality, too. As well as other things, and a particularly important area, as @ironworked pointed out in the tags, is blue collar/white collar class issues.
As I said, the depth of queerness in Supernatural is actually dizzying just in terms of the story's BONES to say nothing of how they flesh it out. Queerness is about deviation from the norm. It's about rebellion and disobedience against hegemonic systems for the sake of personal authenticity and love.
Think about Cas for a minute. Cas's whole story is that he rejects his role in a hegemonic heaven. He rebels for love, and that is pretty explicit as early as season 4 when he tells Dean "We're making it up as we go". Fellas, that is THE QUEEREST SHIT EVER even if he didn't do it for Dean, and like... HE DID IT FOR DEAN. Cas did not have to tell Dean he loved him for me to know it, and for Cas to be a deeply queered character. When he DID say it, I wasn't the least bit surprised he was in love with Dean, because seriously, we been knew. I was only surprised I got to have the immense pleasure of hearing him say it and looking at Dean's face while he took it in. Jesus. I will NEVER RECOVER.
This is my perspective on representation in Supernatural: It's excellent, and I relate to, and feel seen by it as a queer person. Nobody needs to get fucked on the maps table for me to do the math that this is a queer story. It is very, very, very thoroughgoingly canonically queer in so many ways, and not all of them are to do with sex. I think some fans will only allow it to be called queer if dudes make out in it. I am not one of those fans.
As to your second question, I think there is a wealth of evidence in the filmic oeuvre of Eric Kripke to suggest that as an artist and a writer, he is concerned or maybe even preoccupied with masculinity issues and issues around family, and around the way patriarchy fucks men up. So, yes. I think he knew what he was doing and he knew that queerness was part of the mix. For fucks sake, it's a family of men who hunt monsters. That is very fucking on the nose. Do I think he kicked off Supernatural in 2005 planning a 15 year operatic queer romance between Cas and Dean? No. I don't think anyone planned for it to go as long as it did, and it's a matter of record that some things were influenced by fan response, actors' chemistry, different writers and showrunners' preferences and etc. What I will say is that when they had a choice to "straighten shit out" or lean into the queerness, they fucking leaned in, nearly EVERY TIME. Like, it's pretty amazing how consistently they lean the fuck in.
I'll admit -- I wasn't watching it with those eyes the first time, and I didn't give it much real estate in my mind when I watched it as it aired from 2006 to the end, but the last three episodes reshaped it for me and made me angry, and also made me need to watch it all again, this time with an explicitly queer lens, and BOY HOWDY let me tell you this: the Supernatch rewatch journey is a wild and wonderful trip to Queertown. It is legit more difficult to argue that Dean is straight than it is to argue that he is queer. There is a full on CORNUCOPIA of story evidence to support that read and relatively little that convincingly counters it on the straight side, and that starts right at the beginning, when they bend pretty baby Dean over a police car in episode one, and he smirks insouciantly in his lip gloss. Do I think everyone involved knew how that looked? Sexy, submissive and a bit gay?
YES I DO.

Sunsets.
They were always better when you watched them with someone else.
You glanced down at the hands in your lap: yours and Sam's, twined together like your lives have been for the past 5 years. The best of friends from the moment her family moved into town. You couldn't remember a time when you existed without her.
She's chatting now, telling some story about her boyfriend's dunce behavior to cheer you up after Mark broke your heart. Douchebag. You don't really know how you got here of all places; how things seemed to go so right with him and then so terribly wrong.
Sam made a joke at both Patrick and Mark's expense. You laughed and the sound of it was unfamiliar and almost roared in your ear, like a hundred people were laughing.
Everyone always laughed at Sam's jokes. Everyone loved Sam. Everything always worked out for her, even in the most unlikely situations. She was just lucky like that.
You told her once, after she won the talent show at school, that it almost seemed like she was the star of The Samantha Show or something. She found it hilarious, apparently, but you had an inkling that her feelings were still hurt. This was real life, not TV. She didn't just win because she was some main character, she worked really hard on her dance routine.
You felt a little bad after that, never brought it up again. The dark little voice deep down inside you smothered for now.
Because yeah, she did work hard. You knew that. She was smart and talented and funny and caring and a great friend and neighbor and that's just how it was because...
Because...
Because she strived to be all of those thing.
Things you…really didn’t bother with.
Because you were…
You.
Average, squeaking by a three-point-something GPA, wannabe artist who could barely draw, never left town before even when there was that field trip to DC because you got the mumps. A little nervous, a little clumsy, a little romantic with your head in the clouds. You always had a crush but nothing ever really came of those crushes until Mark.
The only boy to ever like you back and then he broke your heart.
“I just want to disappear,” you muttered pathetically and let go of Sam’s hand to cover your eyes again.
"So do it!" Sam finally hopped to her feet in the way that only she could, raring for another passioned, motivational speech that she was known for. You really needed one of those and also loathed that she was about to give you one. "Disappear! Leave!”
This was not the speech you expected.
"Uh, what?" you let out a mixture of a scoff and a laugh, tears forgotten for now. "What do you mean leave? Hello, graduation in a few months. Prom? Then college. What happened to your big plan last week? One last summer in Port Geneva?"
"Forget one last summer," she waved her arms wildly. "This is your life! You're my best friend, I want you happy. Tell me the truth. Do you really even want to go to college? Wouldn't you rather pack up big blue and go on that adventure like you talked about in 8th grade?"
At your blank stare, Sam grabbed you by the shoulders and shook you.
"That's the whole reason we're friends in the first place don't you remember? The ice breaker?! Are you kidding?"
"I don't have a clue," you giggled as she jostled you around.
"Our entire friendship built on a lie. UGH. Ok. Mrs. Mills what-do-you-wanna-do-in-10-years activity? And everyone's was stupid. Tina wanted to be on the cover of Tiger Beat for the Girl Superstar issue. Patrick...gotta love him...but he wanted to be the starting quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. Mine was so dumb I don't even want to say it, great first impressions I made as the new kid.
"But you wanted to see the world! Pack your bags and board a train around the US. Paint the sunset at the Grand Canyon. See glaciers in Alaska! Hell, you even said you'd travel to Middle Earth if you could. And I thought you meant the equator!"
You both laughed and as she went on and on about things you apparently said 4 years ago and as the memory came back to you, your heart ached.
Yeah, you did say that stuff didn't you? You’d been such a silly, idealistic kid before you grew up and reality hit you time and time again.
"That was just kids stuff Sammie," you laughed dismissively. "I'm...I'm gonna take classes at State, and I'm gonna work at the furniture store and I'm gonna..."
"You're gonna pine over Mark Greckman over the rest of your life?" The hands were on her hips again. "No, ma'am, you...you're gonna go on your adventure and...oh my...you're gonna find a prince of some European kingdom or...or a handsome stranger in an Italian villa. Or both. Hoards of men fighting for your affection."
"Please stop," you stood up and grabbed her as she started waving her arms around and pantomiming kissing a tall stranger. "Stop it."
"Ok I'm done, I'm done," she promised. "I just don't want you to be crying over that idiot anymore. And we might be close to graduation but...I don't know...you can still change your mind."
"Hmm," you shrugged. "I dunno. If just sounds so…”
“Unlike you?”
“Yeah.”
"Just think about it," she urged you. "You and your Volkswagen Beetle…and the world...the whole universe if you want it! The possibilities are endless. I just feel like...1985...it's gonna be your year."
There was a spark of inspiration that grew inside of you, and in your heart, you knew she was right.
You pulled her into your arms, grateful to have your best friend.

"Port Geneva was filmed in front of a live studio audience."
Eddie hit the rewind button on the remote and watched the scene speed in reverse until it hit Sam’s big speech. He hit play and watched for a minute then paused, the blurry image of your giggling face frozen on his screen for the foreseeable future.
He sighed and leaned back on the couch to enjoy your company for a minute.
The living room was dark, only illuminated by the glow of the TV and the street lights outside shining through the windows. There was a stack of tapes on the coffee table, along with his abandoned homework. The pizza he ordered would be here soon but for now…it was just you and him.
“M’sorry Mark was an asshole,” he said aloud into the still room. “To be honest…I kind of warned you about him way back.”
You don’t say anything. You never do.
“I know, the heart wants what it wants.” He picked a piece of lint off of his jeans. “I just want to look out for you honey.”
You stay smiling on the screen, and he can imagine it got the slightest bit bigger when he said that.
“I know you try to look after me too. Guess that doesn’t stop either of us getting hurt right?” He chuckled and pat his hands on his lap.
This was pathetic, talking to a fictional character like they were really in the room with him.
You were just…you were everything. And you’d been there for him, a balm to his woes. You had been since he started watching Port Geneva way back when, but especially since everything went down last year.
With his dad and the house and…
There was a knock at the door and Eddie hit the eject button so he could put in the next tape in watch with dinner. It was gonna be a good episode, you tell Mark off and even punch him; he remembered it fondly.
Defending yourself. He was proud of his girl.
Eddie ate his dinner and watched his episodes, taped from when they originally aired. Wednesday nights at 9pm, right before the news. He did his homework and occasionally repeated the rewind-pause-play act that he had perfected over the years so he could make another joke or, just once, complain about his chemistry homework.
Life was hard. For everyone. But especially if your name was Eddie Munson. Still, he endured. He’d never been a stranger to fantasy and escapism, he had his books and his game and his movies but there was something so…comforting in the realism that was your show.
A small suburban town full of normals. All sorts of mundane activities that mostly everyone made feel were…life altering events. And a handful of misunderstood outcasts—like you and Scott and Bonnie—who played supporting characters to the stars. Stars that were, quite frankly, unrealistic and annoying.
Eddie felt that way sometimes though, like he was just some background character waiting for his chance at the spotlight. Who had been the main character in his story, huh? Ronnie? Yeah…he could see that, now that she was on her great college adventure.
But with her gone, what would come of his storyline? Did he just fade into the background again?
Eddie ejected the tape before the current episode finished and propped his feet on the coffee table as he flipped the channels to something else. He needed to focus on something else. He would come back to his tapes, to you, another night and he would wish that you were real once again. Knocking on his door, taking him on a grand adventure with you.
But for now he just needed to stew in his…sad secondary character thoughts.
You got your time in the spotlight, a 2-episode arc at the end of the season, and as much as he hoped that it would be his turn soon…to be the character everyone loved…the person everyone loved…he knew it might never happen for him.
Eddie the Freak. Eddie the outcast. Eddie the idiot.
He would even take a single scene dedicated to him at this point.
Was that too much to ask?

Best Friend Pt.3
Summary: After Seth left you wondering why he left you only to find out you’re his imprint
•Masterlist•
Tumblr media
The pack memebers were all waiting outside as me Seth, Emily and Sam sat inside their house
“Y/n? Are you okay?” Seth asked worried with his puppy eyes, literally
“Oh I’m fine I’m just….trying to wrap my head around everything, I mean I’ve known you my entire life Seth and I know you’re still you, you’re my Seth! But I’m just confused on how you all change?”
“Well it’s a long story but to make it short, we are descended from shapeshifters and our ancestors chose the wolf to transform into” Seth stated
“Okay, but why are you able to? Is there a reason to why you all change? Is it….the vampires here?”
They all looked shocked
“How did you know about them?” Sam asked confused
“Bella isn’t too good at being quiet when she use to sneak Edward into her room” I laughed
“Well the Cullens aren’t what we’re after, what we protect people from, there is real evil out there, not all vampires are as friendly and your sisters boyfriend” Sam stated making a shiver up my spine
“Don’t worry I’ll protect you, I’d never let one of them get you” Seth smiled as he placed his arm around me
I cuddled into him feeling his warmth envelop me
“So can we talk about what you said earlier, that I’m Seth’s imprint? What’s an imprint?” I asked
“Well almost every wolf has a soulmate, it’s lucky for us to find them and Seth here is pretty lucky to have grown up with his soulmate, a wolf will do and be anything for his imprint, anything to protect them and make them happy, and that’s you” Sam said smiling as he looked between me and Seth
I was shocked I always knew Seth was more than just a best friend, we had more than just a regular connection, we were destined for each other
“You okay love?” Seth asked nervous
“I always knew it was you Seth, you were meant for me”
“And you were meant for me”
And after that we never skipped a movie night again

Timeless - Part 5: "We Really Were Timeless"
"I'm gonna love you when our hair is turnin' gray. We'll have a cardboard box of photos of the life we've made, and you'll say, 'Oh my, we really were timeless'..."
Summary: It's the kind of love you find once in a lifetime, the kind of love you don't put down, and somehow, you know you would've found each other in every life.
'Timeless' Chapter List | The Grumpy Sunshine Series
Tumblr media
You smile down at the cardboard box that sits in your lap. You hold up a yellowing photograph, "Oh, I remember this! This was one of our very first assignments with the three of us. It was a complete disaster."
"Why? What happened?"
"Oh, what didn't happen!" you giggle. "We were after some bad guy - an arms dealer, I think. They almost got away. We had an entire building evacuated because we accidentally started a fire, which they still blame me for. We bickered the whole time." You look down at the photograph, at you, Bucky, and Sam, at the whole box filled with photos of the life you made. "And it was the most fun I ever had."
"I can't believe it," Sam awes from the other side of your porch.
"It feels like yesterday," you agree.
"No, I still can't believe that after all this time, you still won't admit that you started that fire."
"I didn't!" you insist. "We've been through this time and time again, Sam. I didn't start that fire."
"What about-"
The question is cut off by the slam of the screen door and a begrudging sigh, "You're supposed to be helping them with their project, not doing it for them, Mom."
You dismissively wave off your oldest child, Thomas, "I'm just telling stories."
Your oldest grandchild holds up a picture from decades ago. One of you and Nick Fury. Side by side, you wear a beaming grin that looks even more bright compared to his stoic frown and crossed arms. It was taken on the day you celebrated his birthday against his will. "Who's that?"
"He is the man that saved my life. We named your Uncle Nick after him."
"So how did you and grandpa meet?"
"Your Uncle Sam introduced us."
"That's right, you're all here because of me!" Sam boasts from the porch swing across the deck.
You chuckle and roll your eyes, "We all worked together. We would've met either way."
"That doesn't mean he would've talked to you if it weren't for me."
"Don't listen to him, kids. He's full of sh- He's full of it. I said it!" Bucky announces, refusing to put another dollar in the family swear jar.
"Nice save." You pat Bucky's leg with a soft chuckle. "It's true, though. He didn't like me very much when we first met."
He settles beside you with a gruff muttering, "That's not true."
"What?" Your oldest grandchild pouts, "Why didn't Grandpa like you?"
"I don't know." You shrug, turning to Bucky with a teasing grin. "James? Why didn't you like me when we first met?"
"Trick question, I always liked you."
"What'd you like about him?"
"It was those eyes," you reply. "The same beautiful blue eyes you have."
"What about these? Is that you?"
You smile, remembering that antique shop from a lifetime ago, "It was us in another life."
"Can I see that?" Bucky asks, jutting his chin toward the box in your lap. You slide the box over to him.
The years came and went. You knew that. But as you look around your porch, at the proof of a love that would last much, much longer than a lifetime, you're left wonderstruck.
The family you found. The family you built. The life you that never ceased to amaze you.
You look at Sam, the smile lines now permanently etched into his face. You look at Bucky, his dark hair now grayed with time. But those blue eyes, the same eyes you fell in love with on that very first day, those were still the same.
Time broke down your bodies, but it never touched your soul. It was an age old classic. It was your age old classic. The story started long ago, at that very first hello.
"Oh my..." It's not very often Bucky gets struck by overwhelming waves of emotion. He flips through the box to find much more than a lifetime's worth of memories. "We really were timeless."
--
The clanging of the grandfather clock startles you, tearing your eyes away from the photo. "Sorry, I think I got lost in thought there."
The shopkeeper chuckles at you, waving her hand at you, "It's no problem, dear."
You chuckle, "That's the second time that grandfather clock scares me."
The shopkeeper quirks her head at you, "What grandfather clock?"
"The -" You point in the direction of the clanging. Your brows furrow when you turn to see nothing but more stacks of books there. "Uh, never mind....Thank you for showing me around. You have a lovely store. I should be getting back now."
"It was my pleasure, I'm sure you and Bucky will have lifetimes worth of happiness."
"Thank you." You offer a smile in return. It takes you a moment to realize that you never told her Bucky's name. "Wait, how did you-"
But as you turn back around, she's gone. The store is as empty and silent as it was when you first walked in.
Though there's a strangeness you can't ignore, there's a something else more important that you need to do. You walk out of the storefront, and immediately dial the only person on your mind. You know he probably won't answer, not with how chaotic his mission turned out, but still, you just need to hear his voice.
"Doll? Is everything okay?"
You sigh in relief, a lightness filling your chest and lungs. Tears unexpectedly spring to your eyes, overwhelmed by the stories of love and triumph. It felt so real. It felt like it was you and him. A love as timeless as they come. You shake your head, clearing the knot building in your throat, "Yeah, yeah, I just wanted to hear your voice."
He groans dramatically. You swear you can almost see the grimace he wears. "God, I miss you."
"I miss you, too," you softly exhale, wiping away the stray tear that slips down your cheek. "So, so much."
"I have something to tell you, by the way."
You finally perk up. "Yeah?"
"Turn around."
You softly gasp, whirling around to see him. His smile is brilliant. The faint orange of the setting sun only makes his eyes shine even brighter. He's here. Standing before you. You bound into him, throwing your arms around his neck.
"I missed you so much," you mutter into his shoulder.
"Me too."
You're not sure how long you stand there holding onto each other in the middle of the cobblestone streets, but you do know you're going to be fine. You were going to be more than fine.
As long as you were his and he was yours, it would all be fine.
You were going to be timeless.

Dean Winchester x Reader (Y/N) &  Sam Winchester (platonic)

Y/N is a high school crush/friend of Sam, when they were 16 y/o they attended the same school for a while. Sam spends his entire time hanging out with her, trying to ask her to prom, only one problem, Y/N likes Dean. Now years later the brothers path crosses again with Y/N, unfortunately she got kidnapped and hurt by vampires.
Dean and Y/N are falling for each other again. But how will they deal with the trauma in their lives.
--

Tumblr media
Please check out my masterlist for more stories.
-------------------------------------------------------
Y/N opened the blankets, gesturing him to lay down next to her, doubtfully he crawled into bed next to her. For a second, they were looking into each other’s eyes. If the circumstanced where different he would have kissed her now. But instead, she pulled herself closer to him, her face was snugged against his shirt, she could hear his steady heartbeat. Dean’s chin touching her hair, he tugged an arm around her pulling her close. She let go of a sigh “I had a bad dream.” She confessed. “I’m here, try to get some sleep.” he kissed her head.
--
Sam woke up by the sunlight on his face. He lifted his head to see if Dean was still sleeping. Noticing he wasn’t on the couch anymore, he turned around finding Y/N and Dean in the bed next to him. Slowly he realised what happened the night before, Y/N the girl both he and his brother cared for, the one person he didn’t want to know about their life was attacked by vampires. All because they tracked down their sent to her.
At first Sam thought it was a cute scene until he saw the tension. He noticed how Y/N was clinging on to Dean with the little strength she had, while the older brother had his arms wrapped around her, tight. Y/N must have woken up and got scared or had a bad dream. And Dean probably felt guilty for what had happened to her, wanting to make sure to protect her.
The younger Winchester got up quietly, wrote a note that he went for breakfast and new clothing for Y/N, thinking she wouldn’t want to go out looking like a bloodbath.
Even though Sam was very smooth in his movement the closing of the door woke Dean up. He glanced down seeing Y/N hadn’t moved since he crawled in the bed with her. His shirt still clenched in her hand, her face still as close as possible to his chest, like she was trying to hide. He turned slightly, to look at the clock behind him, trying not to wake Y/N, 9 a.m.
“Don’t go.” he heard her mumble. “Don’t worry sweetheart, I’m not going anywhere.” He placed his head back on top of hers. “Dean?” - “hm?” - “I’m sorry, for yesterday. Seeing you, killing that... thing. It scared me.” He moved a little so he could look at her. “Oh no, you shouldn’t be sorry. I am, I should have stayed or even better, never went home with you. It’s my fault they found you.”
“You regret meeting me?” He saw the tears building in her eyes. “No, no not at all, I just wish you didn’t have to know about all of this.” His hand moved to her cheek as he kissed her head. “Just because we were somewhat forced into it doesn’t mean you should have.” Y/N moved herself on to one arm looking down at Dean. “How do you mean forced?”
“Our dad, this was, is the reason why we move around so much.” Y/N processed his words for a while. “So, when Sam and I were at school.” - “My dad and I killed monsters.” - “And Sam knew?” Dean nodded. “Why, how do you even start a life like that.” Dean took his time to explain everything to her. How they lost their mom, that his dad was keen on finding the demon, that they killed it but that he and Sam now kept doing the job.
“You guys never thought of stopping, starting a normal life?” She asked while placing her hand very slowly on his shoulder, letting her fingertips glide over his skin. “Sam did, he went to college, thanks to your ‘you don’t need to be like your dad’ speech.” Y/N smirked while Dean could see the wheels spinning in her head. After a moment of silence, she asked him. “What about you?” Dean normally would laugh something like that off, pretend he loves what he is doing, but he felt like he had a chance to be honest with Y/N.
“I never really thought about it, it felt like it was my duty. But it slipped in my mind, once or twice.” He grabbed her hand that was still drawing figures on his skin and brought it up to his lips. “That night when I dropped off your dress and last night.” - “Really?” Y/N looked shocked. “Yes. Why is that such a surprise?” - “I don’t know, I always thought I was a fling, for you passing your time.”
Dean looked shocked, he moved himself, sitting with his back against the bed railing leaving his legs covered with the blankets. He opened his mouth, the second he wanted to tell her how he felt Sam walked in. “Hey you’re up, bought some new clothes and breakfast. Hope you’re hungry, Y/N. ” -”Eh, yeah, I could eat. But I’m going to change first. Don’t wait for me, dig in.”
Y/N lifted herself of bed, feeling a little wonky on her legs, “Ow, I got you.” Sam rushed to hold her arms while Dean lifted himself to his knees on the bed, to hold her back. “Guys I’m fine, just a little dizzy, you can let go.” She said walking slow to the bathroom.
“How is she?” Sam asked his brother, “I think she will process it.” Dean said, thinking about his next words wisely. “I don’t want to leave her like this Sam.” - “Ok, what do you suggest?” - “Taking her with us? Or do you want to stay?” Y/N overheard them talking. “I don’t want you guys to stop living your life because of me.”
“We can’t leave you like this sweetheart.” - “Then I’ll come with you.” - “No, no way!” - “Dean, how much worse can it be?” She was determent. Dean and Sam exchanged a look, making Y/N’s shoulders sink. “That bad huh?” The brothers nodded in sync. “There is so much more than vampires out there.”
After a few hours of discussing the future the three of them came to a solution. They would stay in town for a few months seeing how things will go, trying to give up hunting. Dean wanted to be with Y/N and Sam felt they at least needed to see if things could lead to a bright future. But one condition Sam had to stay in town, Dean wouldn’t be able to adjust without his brother. Sam himself didn’t mind that.
--
After a few weeks of healing Y/N was physically fully recovered. Dean and Sam moved into her apartment, so they didn’t have to pay for motels anymore. Dean and Y/N shared a bed, while Sam took the spare room.
One morning Y/N woke up from a bad dream, although the days went by smoothly without too much trauma and memories, the nights were a hell. Every night or early morning she would wake up drenched in sweat, clinging on to Dean’s shirt. This morning wasn’t different from the others.
Usually she was able to sneak out to take a quick shower before Dean would notice she was gone. But today Dean felt the emptiness next to him.  He woke up immediately feeling worried, but then he heard the sound of the shower. By the time he got outside the bathroom door the water stopped.
“Y/N? Are you ok?” Even though Y/N and Dean shared a bed together they were still very private when it came to the bathroom, part from that one night. Dean felt she needed time to get used to him being in her personal space, they didn’t even name the kind relationship they had yet. Where they friends, lovers, something you can’t name?
“Y/N?” he repeated “Please answer me sweetheart.” She still didn’t answer. Now he was really worried. “Y/N if you don’t answer I will kick this door in!” Silence.
Dean took a step back and planted his foot against the door, forcing enough power to open the door.
Y/N jumped up by the sound of the door breaking. Covering her body with her hands. Dean rushed in only to find her almost completely naked part from her panties. “What the fuck Dean!” she yelled. “Why didn’t you answer me?!” He matched her tone “I didn’t hear you!” - “Oh come on Y/N! I called for you three times!”
“Can you please, I don’t know turn around.” Then the shyness came in, he looked at her realising she wasn’t dressed. “Oh eh, yeah I-I'm sorry.” He turned his back to her so she could grab a bathrobe. “I really didn’t hear you.” she said while wrapping the robe. “I was worried.” he answered secretly peaking at her. “Don’t be.”
“What were you doing?” - “I was looking at my... scars.” she answered a little ashamed not being able to form a lie. She turned back to the large mirror, “I used to think that my body was mutilated with my stretchmarks but these bitemarks...” She took a deep breath. “How am I ever going to...” She stopped her sentence there.
Dean walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, his face next to her looking in the mirror. “You want to know what I see?” - “Please don’t say beauty.” - “That too, but no, I see a survivor. A strong woman.” - “Strong...” she mumbled, “I wake up every morning in fear, I take a shower just to cry without anyone hearing it. Tell me Dean, how is that strong?”
“You’re dealing with your emotions, that’s good.” He locked eyes with her via the mirror. “Am I? Ok, then why haven’t we talked about us yet?” - “What do you mean?” Dean wasn’t sure what she meant. “What are we?” - “Anything you want us to be Y/N. I told you I want to be with you.” - “No, you said you can’t leave me alone, that sounds like an obligation.”
Dean tilted his head “What are you saying? I’m giving you time to, I don’t know, deal with your trauma.” Y/N pinched her nose. “What are you saying Y/N?” She could hear the desperation in his voice. “I don’t know what I want. I don’t know if I want something.”
“Something or someone?” His hold on her loosened “Don’t turn my words against me Dean!” - “Ok, then be honest to me, to yourself... Do you want me?” - “I don’t know.” - “Do you want me to leave?” - “I don’t know.” Dean felt like he just got hit with a brick in his stomach. “What do you mean you don’t know?” He asked but his voice got louder.  “I just... I don’t know Dean!” She almost yelled.
“I’m scared ok! I’m scared of my nightmares, memories of going outside, I’m scared someone, or something will come for us...” She started to ramble. “Of me?” He asked so quiet he thought she wouldn’t have heard it. “Yes!” Y/N answered before even realising what she had said. She could see Dean’s face change.
He took a few steps back. “You are scared of me.” - “I don’t know if I'm scared of you or just scared of what you do.” She grabbed Dean’s hand. “Are you scared of Sam?” She shook her head. “I know it’s ridiculous since he has been killing the same monsters and all, but.” - “You didn’t see him killing anything.” he finished her sentence.
“Is that why you flinch every time I initiate a hug or even touch?” She nodded. “But you hug me, you hold me at night. Christ you’re holding my hand right now.” A tear rolls over Y/N’s cheek. “I can bare it when I take the first move. My mind seems to be at peace with it, while when you touch me without me knowing you are going to, I cramp up.”
There were so much more questions lingering in the air. So much more that need to be said and asked. But Sam as usual had the best timing ever. “Hey Dean... Bobby called, wow, what happened here?” He looked at the door before looking at Y/N and Dean.
“Bobby called?" Dean repeated not wanting to answer his question. “Eh yeah, he needs us. He said it’s an emergency, he wouldn’t have called otherwise he said.” Dean turned back to Y/N, “You should go.” Was all she said.
Dean was packing his bag when Y/N sat next to it on the bed. Dean slowed down for a second and looked at her. He opened his mouth and closed it again only to focus on getting his bag filled. He turned to the drawer she emptied months ago for him. Pulling out some shirts. “Dean?” - “Hm?” - “Saying you should go didn’t mean I want you gone.” - “Oh no sweetheart, this might be good for you. Us." He corrected.
“It’s just, the way you and Sam talk about Bobby, it seems like he isn’t the kind of guy to call when it isn’t important.” - “You’re right again.” Dean said still not looking at her, trying to sound neutral. Y/N grabbed his arm. “Dean...” His eyes glided from where she was holding him over to her eyes.
Y/N lifted herself on her toes to very slowly close the space between them. Closing her eyes. Her lips brushed against his, barely touching him. When she opened her eyes, she let out a soft shacky breath. “Be safe ok?”
That was the first time since the attack they shared a kissed. But to Dean, instead of feeling like a step forward it felt too much like a goodbye kiss. He grabbed his bags and walked to the car, he sees Sam and Y/N hug, her almost squeezing him to dead. “Be careful ok, come back in one piece or I'll come for you Winchester!”
Dean was never, not once in the time they lived with her jealous of their relationship, he knew she saw Sam as her best friend and vica versa. But her hugging Sam without restraining a shiver made him wish for a split second she saw Sam kill the monster and not him.
--
As months gone by Y/N had to learn to be alone again, she had to overcome her fears, go outside, going to the store for groceries. She learned to be confident again. Sam would call once a week, telling her, they were safe, not telling what they were doing. She would ask how Dean was, mostly she would hear him yell that he was fine, sometimes he would come on the phone, not saying much.
One job turned into another one, and another one, and another...Sam’s weekly calls turned into two weeks, once a month... and him saying Dean is fine, he is sleeping or hunting. It had been a while since she heard from any of the boys. And when she called neither answered their phoned, which part from the rest was usual.
Y/N figured her words had hurt Dean so much that he didn’t want to come back. But the truth is that he was in hell and that Sam didn’t want to tell Y/N. He forgot to call her because he was trying to find a way of getting him out of there. And unconsciously not wanting to lie to her.
After 4 months Dean got out of the pit, he had trouble to adjust, so he did the one thing he thought could make him feel a little better. He drove miles and miles, hours on end to stand in front of Y/N apartment. It was late, he rang the doorbell, nervous for her reaction. He knew Sam didn’t said anything to her, and he was glad he didn’t.
“Hello?” - “Y/N? It’s me.” silence on the other end. “Y/N?” He heard the door unlock he got in, by the time he got up the stairs she already stood in the door, wearing a bathrobe, hair pulled up in a high bun.  “Dean? Oh my god!” She wrapped her arms around him the second she could, hugging him tight, pulling herself close against him, her smell filled Dean's nostrils.  He let out a sigh before he found the strength to lift his arms around her, answering her hug.

"I'm so glad to see you." He heard her saying, sound being muffed against his jacket. "I wasn't sure you wanted to see me." He admitted. "Are you crazy, I was worried sick. Even Sam stopped calling me." After a good minute of hugging they let go, she led him inside. Afraid to let go of his hand until they stood in the kitchen. "You look like you could use a drink."  His lip curled. "I do." - "Bad day?" “More like bad forty years.” She turned to him, looking confused. "Or so it feels like." He added.

She turned back around, he saw how she had to get on her toes to grab the bottle. Seeing how her robe and dress lifted up. barely covering her behind, unable able to grab the bottle.
Dean got up, his hand moved hers away "I got you." He whispered standing behind her grabbing the bottle for her. She turned to him, her eyes lighted up when he looked at her. "Thanks."

Dean couldn't help but to lay his hand on her lowered back. Noticing how she didn't flinch at his touch anymore. "I'm glad I drove to see you." His voice sounded deeper than usual.
Y/N felt the air shifting between them. Making her breath out a soft sigh. She handed him his glass, his hand touched hers while he locked eyes, taking a sip.
Thinking there was no way he could tell her all the things he did in hell. But he was sure to tell her how he feels about her. Or at least trying to.

"Y/N, I..." his words faded, feeling shy and embarrassed walking in her house at this time of the night, wanting to tell her, she was the one he thought about day and night. "It's ok. I know" She said while rubbing her hand over his shoulder. "You don't want to be alone tonight. You need someone to hold you until your sorrow goes away... Am I right?"

Dean felt like he was nailed to the ground, of course she understood him, he nodded slow. "I don't know what happened, you don't need to tell me if you don't want to. Just know I'm here for you." Those words released his body. His hand gripped the back of her head, pulling her in while his lips found their way to hers.

This kiss was different from all the others they had shared before. Y/N quickly felt breathless, she could feel the need Dean had to be close to her, to touch her. His hands moved hungry over her body, his lips glided over her cheek to her neck like a man on a mission.

She felt his hand move under the silk of her nightdress, soft squeezing her flesh. He lifted her up on the counter, moving so he could stand in between her legs, while his hand moved up and down her thighs. Like a man possessed he let go of her, only touching her forehead with his. He kept his eyes closed. "Oh god, this wasn't my intention. This isn't the reason I'm here. I'm so sorry, Y/N." Her hands covered most of his face, holding him up. "Hey look at me."

Their eyes meet again. "I know, but if this is what you need. It's ok. I don't mind." she kissed him, trying to prove to him that he didn't need to defend his actions. "You sure?" - "Yes, Dean, I'm sure. I want you too." she smiled softly.
He lifted her up, carrying her to the bedroom where, for the first time in a very long time their love for each other finally blossomed into a night of passion.

Even though they spend most of the night making love to each other, Dean felt unable to sleep. Feeling Y/N's body against his did miracles in a way that he hoped it would. He was more at ease, drawing circles on her back, playing with her hair, while he watched her sleeping. Noticing she didn't clench to him anymore, happy she found her inner peace while he was gone.
By morning he did manage to fall asleep, unfortunately not for long. Her alarm went off, Dean startled awake, seeing Y/N rushing in the bedroom drenched, with nothing but a towel around her. “I’m so, so sorry, I thought I had it turned off this morning. Didn’t mean to wake you.” She said looking apologetic. She took a seat next to him in bed. “I made pancakes.” Her hand moving over his fluffy bed hair before giving a small peck on his lips.
“That’s great. But I crave for something else.” - “Oh, ok what you do you wan... DEAN!” Dean pulled her over him to the other side, hovering over her, making her yelp his name. “Did last night not satisfy you mister Winchester?” Y/N joked while accepting his lips on her neck. “I think I might have a new addiction.” He mumbled against her skin. Y/N turned Dean back around, her towel loosened clearly to the satisfaction of Dean.
Her lips closing in on his ear. “I’m afraid this will have to wait, I have to go to work.” She teased and jumped of the bed disappearing in the bathroom again. Letting Dean drop his head against the pillow. “Do you really need to work today?” - “I’m afraid so.” She walked out again, fully dressed, ”You showing up at my doorstep doesn’t make my world stop spinning Dean.” She saw the painful look on his face, realising what she just said might have sounded harsh.
“I-I mean, for all I know you’ll be gone by the time I get home.” Dean grabbed her arm and pressed his lips against her wrist. “Not this time, I promise.” She nodded believing him. “I’m home around five. Make yourself at home.”
Dean did make himself at home, he made himself useful, the moments Y/N had to work he took care of her daily chores, like dishes, dinner, shopping. Living the semi normal life brought him peace in his mind.
Weeks later.
Y/N got in her car looking at her phone wanting to text Dean she’ll run a little late, seeing Sam had called her 3 times. Immediately dialling back. “Y/N? Please tell me Dean is with you?” -” Yeah, he is, for like 4 weeks now. Why what’s wrong Sam?” - “I’ve been trying to call him for days. I got worried.” - “He is staying at my place. But he is...” - “Off?” Sam asked. “You could say that.”
“Y/N... Dean had a” he chose his words wisely, “horrible experience a few months back. I might have pushed him into talking about it, and he ran. Saying he needed time to heal or process I don’t know, but I haven’t heard from him since.” - “Sam, he has nightmares, not regular ones. He is terrified when he wakes up. And he pretends it’s nothing.” She took a deep breath, “I know he won’t talk to me, so please, Sam, what happened to him?”
“There she is!” Dean yelled from the kitchen. “Made your favourite.” He could see there was something off about Y/N, she looked worried. “Something wrong?” - “Dean, I just heard from Sam.” The tension in the room changed. “Let me guess, he told you.” She nodded. “Great!” He threw the oven mitts in the sink, turning his back to Y/N while looking out the window.
“The question is, why didn’t you?” She wrapped her arms around him kissing his shoulder. “I didn’t want to concern you.” - “I’m concerned since that night you stood at my door, I see you have not been sleeping well. You know you can thrust me right?” He looked at her over his shoulder. “I know I just, I don’t want to scare you again.” - “Dean, it’s hell we’re talking about. Of course, it’s scares me as much as it scares you. But that is why we need to talk.”
“What did Sam say exactly?” He looked at his hands. “Well, that you were in the pit for 4 months but that it was different for you, like 40 years, right?” She took a pause. “And that you were forced to... torture souls the last 30 years of it.” She saw his jaw clench. “I didn’t want you to be afraid of me again, of what I do, what I did.” He turned around now, finally looking her in the eye. “I’m not. You did what you had to. I don’t believe that was you, the real you.”
“Dean, I think you need to go back to bobby’s.” Y/N could see the shock in his eyes. “I think you need to keep hunting, I don’t believe being here, playing houseman is the right way to cope with all this. Not for you, maybe for now but long term, you need your brother.” He shook his head “I said I wouldn’t leave you again.” - “You won’t, I’m coming with you.” He shook his head again. “No argument Winchester. We’re leaving tomorrow.”
Dean and Y/N arrived at Bobby’s place. Sam and Bobby heard the sound of the impala and came outside to greet them. “Sammy!” Y/N jumped out of the car to give him a big hug. “God I missed you big fella.” She laughed. “Missed you too, This is Bobby, Bobby meet Y/N.” They shook hands, “Heard a lot about you kid.” - “Likewise.”
Both turned to face Sam and Dean, the brother hugged by the car. “Is he going to be ok?” Y/N asked the old man. “He needs time, loads of it, but he has you.” - “Us” she corrected him. He gave her his approval smile, he clearly liked her already. “Thanks for bringing him home.”
As months went by, Y/N stopped renting her apartment, dropped her job and helped Bobby, making her some sort of an assistant whenever he wasn’t able to pick up the phone or multiple hunters needed intel, she would help him, learning about monsters and hunting. Dean wouldn’t want her to go on hunts, but Bobby taught her all about the research and handling the ‘FBI’ scams.
And although the grumpy man was keen on his privacy, Y/N felt like a daughter he never had. Secretly liked that she was living with him, not being alone all the time anymore and thanks to her the boys would drop by more often, not just when they need him.

I was reading the other day about how the Higgs field exists in a "false vacuum". About how the "God Particle" that gives our universe mass could suddenly stop working one day and implode on itself, traveling across the universe at light speed and destroying everything it touches.
And then I started thinking about Higgs Monaghan and how him and Fragile both had complete control over the west, outside Bridge's influence. How they were the particle holding those people together, and how Higgs' own violent explosion obliterated everything he once made thrive.
We're told a lot about the nuking of Middle Knot. Fragile is still rightfully angry about being so personally used and betrayed, meaning it's brought up often. But I don't think the game ever truly goes into the depth at which Higgs has destroyed. About how many people he's truly killed.
We know he merged with Fragile Express and maintained control of the western side of the continent, but when we get there it's nothing but a shell of a once healthy civilization. The buildings are destroyed much like the ones in Middle Knot. The entire coast itself is infested with BTs, of the ghosts of people that once trusted Higgs with their lives. There's no deliveries. You're only connecting to what's left of the abandoned terminals. The only living people there are Sam and Higgs himself.
The implication here is Higgs nuked the west, much like Middle Knot. That Amelie sweet talked him into tearing down everything he worked so hard to build. That Fragile and Higgs were threats to her own plans, that the west being empty wastelands was preferable to someone else having control.
But that's just it with Higgs, isn't it? Everything in his story is hidden, left to implications. We're not told how many people he's truly killed, we're told for sure he nuked Middle Knot, and made several attempts to do the same to other cities. But the true scale of the bloodshed hes accomplish is left up to us to find. Masks upon masks upon masks. The God Particle in his false vacuum.
Once there was an explosion, a bang which set a planet spinning in that space. Once there was an explosion, a bang which gave rise to life as we know it. Once there was an explosion, a bang that came tearing it all down.

AN2: This is the big sha-bang. The moment you’ve all been waiting for. But that doesn’t mean that’s the end of the story with church guy Steve— don’t want to give a lot away— but with the hidden message in the ending I have a few ideas to do some au one shots with this story using this steve and a different reader, if others want that. This story was actually only ever meant to be a one shot but I’m a whore for praise and ended up doing all this for the people. I’m a hero.
Word Count: 1,595
Everything has to be perfect.
That’s what keeps going through Steve’s head. Everything needing to be perfect. For you. For him.
The wedding planning didn’t take too horribly long, considering Steve had everything set up the moment he set his sights on you, but he still had to go about it in a way that seemed normal. Which wasn’t too hard to do, considering you looked to him to do everything for you anyway, just like he taught you.
The time between getting engaged and the actual wedding day was only a month. Actually less than a month. 27 days in fact. But even then, it seemed like eternity to him. He was so close to his forbidden fruit, to stealing you away and living happily ever after with you. It just made the time seem to go by even slower.
But now, after 27 excruciating days, Steve stares at himself in the mirror, his hair perfectly styled, tux fit to the nines, straightening out his bowtie, and he can’t help but relish in the now. He’s finally getting what he deserves. After years of thinking maybe this wasn’t meant for him, maybe he wouldn't get his story book, white picket fence, ending, he's finally here, it’s finally his turn.
“You ready pal?” Bucky questions him from across the room, dressed similarly to Steve with the rest of his groomsmen, Sam, Tony, and Bruce.
Steve takes a breath, turns around, and smiles, “Absolutely.”
His friends, who know how long he has waited, cheer, and Sam speaks up next, “Everything set up with the house?”
“The realtor closed today.” Steve nods, “We’ll be moved in, in New York, the second we get back from our honeymoon.”
“That’s great man. We’ll be glad to finally have you back home.” Tony walks over and claps him on the shoulder. The rest of the men nod. All the men, outside of Bucky who is still in the beginning stages, has a woman of their own out in New York. All of them having the perfect life they deserve, and all of them happy another one of their friends is on that path as well.
When the wedding planner comes and knocks on the door, all the waiting comes to a head.
You're beautiful in your virgin white dress, the lace veil covering your face, as your father walks you down the aisle. Steve is even more sure you’re meant for him. Picture perfect, as if you came down from heaven just for him. The Lord molded you for him. His perfect girl. His entire devotion.
The moment he lifts the veil and see’s your face, he’s actually certain you did come from heaven. His own personal angel. And he swears to himself then that he wont ever worship anything more than he worships you. Just like he knows you’ll only ever worship him. Just as you've been molded to do.
The ceremony is traditional, per Steve’s request, but it’s also short and to the point. Steve’s waited long enough.
It seems like everything after the moment you are pronounced husband and wife is a blur. You don't remember walking back down the aisle, or taking pictures. You don’t remember greeting your guests, or cutting the cake, or the first dance. Honestly you don’t remember much of the reception at all. You don’t even really remember leaving it, the send off, or the drive to the hotel.
It’s like you don’t come back to your senses until the moment you are standing in front of the hotel suite door. Steve scoops you up in his arms, adamant on carrying you across the threshold.
The suite is huge. Everything is marble white with gold accents. The walkway to the bedroom is covered in rose petals that lead all the way to the bed, where they make a heart. Champagne and crystal glasses lay on the table across the room, along with chocolate covered fruit.
Steve gently sets you down in front of the bed, smiling down at you as he cups your cheeks, “My little wife.” He coos, leaning down to kiss your lips. The slow and gentleness only lasts a few seconds before Steve’s inhibitions come forward, the darkness within him that he’s only let slip in small amounts with you, seems to break through the cage completely. He’s been caged too long, held back too much, and the beast inside him finally comes forward.
It’s as if his entire being engulfs yours, his lips feasting upon yours as his claws tear away at your dress, allowing the tattered white shreds to fall away to the floor.
Your back hits the bed with more force than you were expecting and the small whimper that leaves you is swallowed by the monster above you. He relishes in the sounds of your trepidation, the wails of your hesitation, your pleads for him to slow, only further his desire.
Despite your fears, he knows you are feeling the same desire as him, the wet justices coating his fingers tells him as much. His lips descend down your neck to your perked breasts as his fingers open you up for him. It doesn't matter how many times he's fingered you, you’re still so tight, squeezing his fingers with a firm grip.
Even with the mad man inside him at the forefront, he still wants to be a good husband of you, wants to treat you right, shower you with so much love you don’t ever look for it outside of him. He want’s to give you so much pleasure.
It’s why he curls his fingers just so, hitting the point that makes your eyes roll back and your toes curl. It’s why he keeps the pace steady, allowing you to rut against his digits as he praises you over and over, letting you get to your peak.
“That’s it darling. Come for me. Come for your husband.”
“Such a good girl for me.”
“One more, give me one more.”
He wears you out on his fingers to the point you can’t even see straight, and when you’re chest is heaving, sweat coating your body, mind fuzzy, he stands, towering over you as he discards his own clothes.
He watches over you as he becomes just as bare as you. Watches the way your chest expands with each breath. The way you are practically glowing with the soft due on your skin. His cock is always hard for you, but right now, looking over you like this, knowing he gets to mark you as his forever, he's throbbing.
He wastes no time climbing back on top of you, shushing you as your weak please for reprieve reaches his ears, he knows you don’t mean it, not really. The feeling of your slick coating his cock as he slowly drags himself through your lips has him growling, and he’s glad he tired you out enough on his fingers so much because he knows the last of his patience withers away.
Sinking into you is like arriving home. He’s positive he’s never felt such a euphoric rush in his life. And again, he’s glad he’s already made sure you’ve cum more than once before claiming you, because he knows he’s not going to last long.
His thrusts are animalistic, his grip on your hips tight as he makes you meet his each thrust. Skin slapping against skin. Hard, fast, and bruising.
“My girl.” Steve moans from above you. All you can do is whimper and weakly moan, body too exhausted for anything else. “Only mine.”
The only thing on Steve’s mind is marking you up. He’s got your entire being as his. Your mind, Your heart, and now, he want’s the one last thing he deserves.
“Gonna cum inside you, honey.” Steve groans, hips continuing their assault on yours, “Over and over. Gonna fill you up with my seed. Mark your walls. Make you holy and completely mine.”
The image of you dripping with his cum, the whiteness running down your leg, mixing with the sweat coating your body makes him more feral than before, and it’s enough to have his eyes roll back and his cock twitch inside you. He swears he’s never cum harder in his life.
It’s exhilarating and blissful. Better than he imagined, and he imagined it a lot these past few months. He’s enamored by you. Completely and holy yours as you are his. His devotion is down right sinful, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
When he finally stops, he keeps himself inside you, knowing it’ll only be a few minutes before he’s ready to go again, and he peppers your face with kisses. Your body is so exhausted you’ve passed out, entirely spent, but that isn’t going to stop him from taking you again, and again, and again. Your his now and he can do as he pleases.
Not like that’s ever really stopped him before.
“My perfect little wife,” Steve caresses your cheeks, smiling down as he rubs his nose with yours. You’ve always been beautiful to him, but worn out on his cock, might be his favorite look yet, “We’ll be so happy together, I promise.” He vows, not for the first time today, that you both will have a happy life together. He knows you will. You’re perfect, better than the mistake he had before. You won’t do what she did. And he wont have to get rid of you like he did with her. No, this will be the happy ending he deserves. He knows it will. It has to be.
His devotions may be sinful, but what’s life without a little evil.

the best supernatural episodes
according to an autistic person with a special interest and the ability to make a list.
if youre really serious about supernatural spoilers then maybe stay away :)
None of the season one episodes made in on the list but I will give an honorable mention to S1 E2 Wendigo.
S2 E11 Playthings - A classic, creepy girls in a creepy hotel. Special call out to Sam getting SLOPPY
S2 E16 Roadkill - There's a ghost haunting the highway. the Boys help the spirit move on. This is an early example of monster empathy
S2 E18 Hollywood Babylon - Dean loves hollywood. I love dean. this episode makes me kick my feet like a little girl and i will not defend myself.
S2 EP 20 What Was Shall Never Be - all I have in my notes for this one is "Dean Djinn Dream" which was enough for me to remember the episode and get misty eyes. This is SEASON 2 my son will never know peace.
S3 E5 Bedtime Stories -I had to check the wiki on this one, I think i liked it cause it referenced classic fairytales
S3 Ep11 Mystery Spot - "HEAT OF THE MOMENT" RISE AND SHINE SAMMY!
S3 E13 Ghostfacers! - Im a Facer through and through
S3 E16 No Rest for the Wicked - S3 finale and the Boys are facing consequences! Classic Dean, Sam and Bobby episode.
S4 E1 Lazerus Rising - First Cas Episode. That handprint makes me feel things.
S4 E6 Yellow Fever - What if Dean had anxiety (The Eye of the Tiger blooper is also at the end of the episode which gives it bonus points.
S4 E17 Wishful Thinking - Make a wish? was it for your teddy bear to be diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder? Well thats what youre getting!
S4 E17 It's a Terrible Life - Sam ~ the sales rep. Dean ~ middle management.
S4 E18 The Monster at the End of the Book - There are books about Sam and Dean?! Written by this guy who loves self insert character? Surely the entire show isn't about to take a tone shift?
S5 E3 Free to be You and Me - Sam and Dean are fighting again, but this time Dean has a new heavenly boy toy to play with instead. (Cas has no rizz yet it's actually a little painful to watch)
S5 E5 Fallen Idol - Okay the Wax People episode is on here for one reason and one reason only. Paris Hilton.
S5 E7 The Curious Case of Dean Winchester - Old man Dean and old man Bobby. This is also the episode for HH Husk kinnies.
S5 E8 Changing Channels - Dr Sexy MD is that you?!
S5 E9 The Real Ghostbuster - *in a grizzly voice* "I'm Dean Winchester, this is my brother Sam. Have you experienced anything strange?" "Dude that was so good! Now we can go solve the puzzle" "Man you're breaking the immersion!"
S5 E10 Abandon All Hope - This is here for Crowley's first appearance and not because the end will make you cry.
S5 E12 Swap Meat - "uh... its Audi Nos". Freaky Friday starring Sam Winchester! An angsty teen and April Kepner from Grey/Sloan Memorial Hospital.
S5 E16 Dark Side of the Moon - The Boys lives flash before their eyes. Dean is pissed forever about Sams.
S5 E19 Hammer of the Gods - this is for all my pagans out there!
S6 E4 A Weekend at Bobby's - What do you think this episodes about idjit.
S6 E15 The French Mistake -  “For whatever reason, our life is a TV show.” “Why?” “I don't know.” “No, seriously. Why? Why would anybody want to watch our lives?”
S7 E4 Defending your Life - consequences? for fucking people over? how about you stand trial.
S7 E20 The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo - The self insert character made for us :) Luv u 4ever Charlie XD
S8 E4 Bitten - found footage will always scare. this one reminds me that this show started as a psuedo horror.
S8 E8 hunteri heroci - Cas tries his hand at being a hunter
S8 E12 As Time Goes By - FINALLY THEY ARE CARVING TRAPS INTO BULLETS
S8 E17 Goodbye Stranger - verbatim here are my notes for this episode "Cas chooses Dean, but the way he handles Meg... Fuck Naomi"
S8 E18 Clip Show - If you only want to watch just one episode of Supernatural this should be it. It's not actually a clip show, theres a broment, bonding time with favorite characters and crazy plots that only supernatural could get away with.
S9 E5 Dog Dean Afternoon - Dean is finally a dog person
S9 E11 First Born - Another bro fight leads to shipping <3 SamxCas + DeanxCrowley <3
S9 E15 #thinman - the slender episode feat. GHOSTFACERS. You come away from this episode thinking "supernatural is so fucking gay why wont the boys kiss"
S9 E21 King of the Damned - my favorite crowley era change my mind. Also the way the Boys interrogate an angel is so funny
S10 E5 Fan Fiction - I would unironically fuck w a supernatural musical and if helluva/hazbin taught me anything the rest of you would too
S10 E6 Ask Jeeves - The Clue episode. (Pay attention to the improvised weapons Dean chooses. It brings me joy)
S10 E9 The Things we Left Behind - Cas is suffering a midlife crisis and his besties are there to help him repair his relationship with his daughter. Funnily enough, Crowley is also getting some family bonding in.
Okay, I'm all caught up on my list. Should I have stayed up late transcribing this with an 8am class tommarow?
Probably not but it did bring me great joy. Tell me your favorite episode! I'll continue to add to my list as I continue my rewatch :)

Okay but. you guys know this scene right.
i HAVE to talk about this.
because we’re so used to the beautiful way it’s cut. Faramir brings in the hobbits, he says to take them to Denethor, that he’s sending a “mighty gift.” But shit goes down and he thinks better of it and lets them go. This is intercut with Sam’s magnificent speech about Some Good In This World That’s Worth Fighting For and the victory at Helm’s Deep and Isengard being obliterated by Ents.
but
the thing is
if you cut out the other scenes
and JUST look at what’s happening in Osgiliath
this is what happens word for word:
Faramir: Take them to my father. Tell him Faramir sends a mighty gift. A weapon that will change our fortunes in this war. Sam: Do you know why your brother died? He tried to take the Ring from Frodo! After swearing an oath to protect him, he tried to kill him!* The Ring drove your brother mad. Scout: NAZGÛL! Frodo: [walks slowly up a bridge to stare at a Nazgûl] Sam: [tackles him] Frodo: [draws Sting] Sam: It’s me. It’s your Sam. Don’t you know your Sam? Frodo: I can’t do this, Sam. Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn’t even be here. But we are. It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. They kept going because they were holding on to something. Frodo: What are we holding on to, Sam? Sam: That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for. Faramir: I think at last we understand each other, Frodo Baggins. Madril: You know the laws of this country, the laws of your father. If you let them go, your life is forfeit. Faramir: Then it is forfeit.
OKAY. SO. Being intercut with the other scenes REALLY gives this one a boost because I didn’t realize how weird this is until this most recent viewing which has to be like my 40th time through.
Faramir has made his choice and then he sees Sam tackle Frodo and make a nice speech and then he says I think we understand each other Frodo Baggins???? What EXACTLY has this taught him about Frodo that’s worth ALLOWING HIS FATHER TO EXECUTE HIM (according to this nebulous “give me the ring or else” law Denethor supposedly has in place)???? Like he just sees Frodo being wet and pathetic at Sam and is like “hold on I have to rethink my entire life”?????? He genuinely goes from “Take them to my father, I’m sending a mighty gift” to “AH NOW I UNDERSTAND” in 5 minutes and explicitly seems to understand FRODO after hearing Sam make a speech at him??
how did I never notice this before it’s driving me crazy i’ve been thinking about this for 6 weeks
* Asterisk because Sam, one, you don’t actually know how Boromir died so that was a weird power play, and two, if we know that Faramir ALSO doesn’t know how Boromir died it occurs to me that it kind of sounds like Sam is saying, “Yeah, I did it, I stabbed your brother for coming after Frodo and I’ll stab you too, Legs.”

You Belong Here
Tumblr media
Part 2 to Where do I Belong?
There was one thing Dean had always admired about you during the early years of knowing each other. You had the ability to completely fall off the map if you felt the urge. At a time only Bobby would be able to find you but now years later with more practice under your belt? Finding a trace of you was damn near impossible.
Set between Lily Sunders Has Some Regrets & Regarding Dean
Mary was gone. She'd said she needed to "Figure out her life" Dean knew the real reason she'd left, so did Sam. Dean couldn't look at his own mother without anger spilling into his gut. You left because of her.
The fight the two had was bad enough that Sam came to the shocking realization that Dean didn't have John's temper, his was more along the line of Mary's.
"I didn't mean for it to come out the way it did Dean! I know you care about Y/N. It's just I'd drank a little, I've heard enough bits and pieces to know something happened between her and Sam then the two of you get hurt on a hunt?" Dean's jaw clenched tightly at her words as he pushed off from where he'd been leaning against the wall "Three of us"
"What?" Mary asked before Dean continued "The three of us got hurt. Yeah my ribs were broke, Sam got slashed but you didn't notice she was limping? Her hip got slammed out of place taking a blow meant for me, her entire upper back was damn near ribbons helping Sam to his feet. You don't know her, you don't know what she's endured to be at my side. I could search every damn world there is and not find another woman like her. She's been in the life since she was eight, she's been in OUR lives since she was twelve"
"So you're telling me it doesn't ever bother you that she slept with your brother?" Mary pushed and it was then Sam moved to be between her and Dean.
The calmness in Dean's voice as he spoke worried Sam more than anger. He was doing what he always did, shutting down emotions in favor of not facing them. "I died in her arms. She loves me and I died in her arms. The next time she sees me alive, I'm a demon fucking some waitress in a video. Yeah she turned to Sam for comfort, someone she'd known most of her life and was safe with. The only thing that bothers me was the woman I love was put into that position where she was in so much pain. I'm sick of her feeling guilt for it and I'm so sick of other sons of a bitches making her feel guilt for it. I know where I stand with her. Sam knows where he stands with her. She's fought for us, she's died for us. No one has ever been at our side like she has. I don't give a damn if you're my mother, you won't stand here and try to undermine Sam's friendship with her or my relationship with her"
Tumblr media
Mary had left long not after that. Dean found himself wishing he could care but John had fed them stories of their mother, tainted memories of a marriage and a woman that was far from perfect. He loved her, yeah of course he did but you weren't at his side because of her.
If he could just talk to you, get face to face he knew he could get you home. One of the many reasons he loved you was that stubborn streak you had. The stubborn streak that made you show up to fight Lucifer, that gave you the sheer will more than once to push yourself to your feet and continue a fight. Now that stubborn streak was working against him. You'd set it in that beautiful head of yours that he was better off without you. Now was his turn to chase you down and make you see beyond any sort of self doubt you had.
If only he could find you. He was losing his damn mind, memories flashing of the last time you'd went radio silent. Amara had driven you out of his arms then, making you doubt the love between the two of you. She'd driven you away from the bunker and from the safety in numbers. He'd nearly lost you.
When Sam and Donatello found you and Lucifer...it'd taken Chuck nearly an hour to coax you into letting him heal you. You'd been more broken than he could remember. For days you'd flinched at the sound of his voice, the sound of Sam's. Rowena had finally broken through to you. He couldn't lose you. He closed his eyes letting the worse scenarios over power him. How was he supposed to face the never ending fight that was the life of a hunter without you?
----------
If he thought about it the biggest moments of his and Sam's lives you were there for most of them. You and Sam got your license around the same time, you'd gotten your ged a month after Sam graduated. The years Sam had gone to Stanford Dean had looked forward to bumping into you on the road because you were one of the very few he'd always considered a friend.
The line between friend and more had faded gradually. Now? He knew you made him a better man, he could see a future for himself. Some sort of light at the end of the tunnel.
----------
"Dean!" Sam's voice cut through the thick silence of the bunker. Dean was on his feet without a word, meeting his brother in the library. "What is it Sammy?"
Sam smiled as he held up his phone "I think I found her but we gotta move fast before she goes off grid again"
Tumblr media
"Asshole" you grunted, rolling the last of the ghouls onto the pyre. Why had it been your luck to find a damn herd of them? The most you'd ever seen together was two. Reminded you of the creature features you'd seen way back when Eve had cracked the world open and popped out.
You touched the cut on your cheek and a hiss of pain escaped you. They'd put up one helluva fight, the damn flamethrower you hadn't realized Dean had left in your jeep until two weeks after you'd left had come in handy. A sad smile slipped onto your face at the thought that even with not being at his side Dean was still protecting you as best as he could.
There was a first aid kit back in the cabin you were staying in. You could patch yourself up after you cleaned up the scene.
----------
After the flames died down to just a few embers you cooled them with the jug of water you carried in your backseat then scooped the ashes into a shallow hole.
There wasn't nothing else to do but go back to the cabin, get cleaned up and make an attempt at sleep. Even though your sleep patterns were once again as bad as they were in your late teens/early twenties.
You missed Dean, you missed the bunker. You missed your life. With a sigh you flopped down into your jeep turning the ignition and letting the engine roar to life.
Tumblr media
The moment you pulled to a stop in front of the cabin you knew something was off. There was fresh tire tracks but no car.
You checked the knife in your waistband along with the gun at your lower back before climbing out of the jeep. Whoever or whatever it was better be up to a fight. You didn't feel like any bullshit.
------
The moment you stepped across the threshold into the cabin a hand grabbed your arm. You quickly slid under it, sending a kick to your would be assailants knee but when you grabbed the arm to twist it behind them their voice hit your ear "Y/N...it's me!"
"Sam?" You asked in shock, reaching for the lightswitch. He grinned slowly getting to his feet "Shouldn't have spooked you" you shrugged one shoulder "Ya think? Wait what are you doing here? Shit where's Dean? Is he ok?" Fear gripped your heart in that moment until Sam grabbed your shoulder "Breathe! He's ok" he spotted your cheek and asked "are you?"
"Why are you here?" You pushed ignoring his concern but before he could open his mouth to answer a familiar rumble of an engine hit your ears "Just talk to him. He's confused as to why you left without talking to him. He's hurting. He needs you" you took a deep breath before nodding. You owed Dean an explanation. Sam half smiled "I'll make coffee. Whenever you two are through I'll be in here"
Tumblr media
Dean didn't know if he should walk up on the porch or wait for you to come out. By now you'd probably damn near kicked Sam's ass if he spooked you.
While he was still considering a course of action the door opened and you stepped out, shutting it behind you.
"Y/N" the moment he spoke your name he saw the change in your demeanor. When you first stepped out your shoulders were set, eyes level with your surroundings but the moment he spoke he saw your shoulders sag slightly as if you'd let yourself relax simply hearing him.
You walked down the doorsteps and no words were spoken before he opened his arms and you crashed into them, wrapping your arms around his waist and burying your face in his chest. "I never meant to hurt you in anything Dean"
----------
You felt like you could breathe for the first time in weeks. Being in Dean's arms was home to you. "I'm sorry" you whispered against his chest. He kissed the top of your head and you felt him take a breath that wavered just slightly "You left me, again. How did you think that wouldn't hurt?"
You leaned back to look up at him and felt your heart clench at seeing tears in the corner of his eyes "Dean.." you tried but he spotted the cut across your cheek "You're hurt"
"Ghouls" you replied trying to ignore how fast your heart was beating. He reached for your hand "C'mon I'll patch you up" you let him lead you to the impala. He opened the backseat so you sat down while he grabbed the first aid kit out of the trunk.
Tumblr media
You were silent as Dean worked, gently cleaning your cuts. "How many?" You could hear the anger mingled with fear in his voice. He hated when you hunted alone. "Five"
"God damn sweetheart" he mumbled just barely audible. Five. You'd taken on five Ghouls solo. What if something had gone wrong? He never would've known. He took a deep breath in an attempt to keep his hands steady. He was crouched in front of you just outside the door.
He motioned towards your shirt "Can I check you for any other damage?" You nodded your consent with a small smile "You don't have to ask permission to touch me Dean"
He bit back the words that wanted to tumble out. You'd left him alone. He'd gone to sleep curled up to you, a hand touching your stomach as he dozed off. Only to wake to an empty bed and a letter.
He lifted your shirt and let just his fingertips trail across the angry purple marks already forming on your skin. They'd tried to get at your spleen, that was apparent from the bruising over it. He touched across your ribs a bit firmer than everywhere else "Any pain beyond bruising?" You shook your head.
----------
You knew Dean better than yourself in some ways. You knew what was going through his head as he pulled your shirt up further, examining every inch of skin he could get access to. He was thinking in what ifs. He was probably imagining you dead, him not knowing.
When he asked you to lean up so he could look at your back you did as he asked, watching his face considering he'd pulled you into the position of basically laying on his shoulder "Dean, I'm ok I promise" "You'd be even better if we'd been with you. I don't know why you left, I don't know why you didn't believe in me...believe in us...I don't know why..." you cut him off by pressing a gentle kiss to the side of his neck. He closed his eyes, swallowing hard "That's not fair darling and you know it"
"Dean I love you" you knew that wouldn't help his feelings but it was the best you had. He turned to look at you,the close proximity driving the breathe out of you "I know that. I know you love me. That's what makes it worse. I've apparently been such a shit boyfriend that I haven't driven it into that beautiful head of yours just how much you mean to me"
"Dean you're not a shit boyfriend" you spoke and he scoffed "No. I've been needing to say this for weeks. I've been searching damn near constantly, barely sleeping. I'm gonna say this then you can say whatever you need to and we'll go from there" you nodded so he pulled your shirt back down into place and leaned you up so he could take both of your hands in one of his.
"You've been a constant in my life. You gave Sam a best friend as a kid that didn't get many chances to have any friends. You were there when Sam went to Stanford and I had no line of communication with him but you. When dad went missing you wasted no time offering to help us in any way. The only time I've seen you even come close to giving up was when we all three were contemplating it on that Croatoan case. You have kept going through so much shit that would've put a lesser person in the dirt. You're strong as hell, you're brave as hell. I've seen you stand toe to toe with Lucifer and not blink an eye at the father of murder. When you left, that note said you weren't sure where you belonged right?"
You nodded slowly so he reached for your hips, damn near pulling you into his lap "You belong here, in my arms. What happened with Sam? I am years past that. I know had the cards not fell like they had nothing like that would've ever happened. You two are best friends, I'd never try to take that from either of you because you two are more important than anything in the world to me. I get why you left with Amara and I get why you felt the need to leave now but unless you one day decide you don't love me anymore promise me here and now you'll trust me enough to talk to me if you're feeling lost"
You could feel tears threatening to spill from your eyes. "I could never stop loving you Dean. This is it for me" he smiled, leaning forward to catch your lips in a lingering kiss. When he pulled away he cupped your cheek with his hand, his thumb gently touching the cut "Then trust that I love you. And as far as you hurting my self preservation skills? They're better because of you, I pay more attention on hunts and take less chances because the thought of not coming home to you? I can't imagine it. I'm a better man and hunter for knowing you and loving you so please just come home. Whatever comes next we can handle it. We've made it through worse and we're still standing. We can make it through anything that gets thrown our way, just please come home"
"I've missed you" you finally managed to get out and the smile he gave you was enough to make your knees weak "I'm yours sweetheart. I always will be" you pulled him into a kiss taking just enough time to whisper against his lips "I'm not too hurt for this" he smiled against your lips at you seemingly reading his mind "Where's Sam?" "Inside until we get him"
He pulled away from the kiss then looked back towards the cabin "In that case scoot over so I can climb in and shut this door"

Hi can you do Samantha carpenter x male al ghul reader
the reader is sam's boyfriend and the third son of ras al ghul, when amber and richie were about to kill everyone, the entire league of assassins arrives who end up against the two ghost faces, sam finally meets the reader's family, where they also take Dewey to the lazarus pit to bring him back to life
Tumblr media
It came down to this moment for Sam and Tara: being held at gunpoint by two psychotic fans of the Stab franchise. One was Tara's best friend/possible ex-girlfriend Amber Freeman and the other was Richie, Sam's ex-boyfriend.
"Sorry about Dewey" Amber mockingly intones, "our reboot had to have some stakes!"
SLICE! A ninja star flies through the window and nails the killer right between the eyes. Amber collapses to the ground a split second later.
Richie gazes around in horror, gun still trained on the sisters.
"What the fu-??!" he tries to shout out only for you to drop from the ceiling and stab him through the skull with your katana.
"I always hated reboots" you intone, looking to the Carpenter sisters. You pull down your mask, exposing your face.
"Y/N?" Sam looks to you in shock.
"Look you may have dumped me for Weasel dude over there but I still love you, Sam" you walk up and inspect her, "are you alright?"
"You dumped this ninja for that Richie jerk?" Tara begins to laugh. "what a downgrade"
You make a gesture with your hand and several more ninjas descend from various places.
"Have you been following us?" Sam looks to you, confused.
"The League has many outlets and bases, one of which was based here in Woodsboro. Word travels fast" you smirk. "and he informed us of the problem"
You gesture to the doorway and in walks Dewey. "Surprised? so am i."
"Dewey?" Sam runs up and hugs him, "but we saw you-"
"Die? Yeah i did. Your ex-boyfriend used a...what did you call it?"
"Lazurus Pit" you answer back matter of factly. You turn to the closest ninja to you, "Talia, great throw on the star by the way" Your sister bows in respect before leading your fellow ninja brethren off silently.
Sydney and Gale run in a split second later to the whole fiasco before them. But it didn't matter to Gale, only the ex-sheriff standing there.
"D-Dewey? No it can't be" Gale begins to cry "I've gone nuts."
"You're not nuts. It's me. I'm here" Dewey approaches her and hugs her gently. "Hey Syd."
Sydney smiles back at her old friend. You lead Sam and Tara off into the night. You throw a dagger down at Gale's feet with a note attached.
Write a story about this and I'll send the whole League of Shadows after you. Sincerely, Y/N Al Ghul.

Could you please write a song adapting Ted and Charlotte’s conversation/flirting/argument in The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals before he leaves her alone with Sam?
Like… there’s the genuine love between them; their respective issues, fears and unhealthy beliefs getting in the way of it; their regret that they can’t just be happy together while also not taking action to make that happen; the stress of being stuck in an alien zombie apocalypse; Charlotte’s grief over and Ted’s resentment of Sam; and their difficulty actually communicating all the previous things. And of course, the sexual tension. I just think that all of those layers interplaying would make a really good song. Especially since their dynamic wasn’t explored much in the show.
There could even be a coda where Ted, after leaving, muses that he could have done better, but he’s been very careful to never give her reason to expect better from him, so she’ll get over it. They’ll be back to their version of normal soon enough (messy as it is). So he doesn’t need to go back in there and apologize or say some heartfelt shit or anything. Then the final notes are the first ones of “You Tied up My Heart”.
I say this every time but holy SHIT this was fun
So I tried to get as much of this prompt into one song as I could - it doesn't cover the entire scene, so there would be a little bit of dialogue between this and "You Tied Up My Heart," but I think it captures a lot of their relationship and connection. There could also totally be some underscoring from this going into the next song in a full production. (Also this wouldn't be in a full production cause they wouldn't be singing, but I dream.) I also cheated a bit with the orchestrations - I've been trying to make them as playable by the original bands of the shows as possible, but for this I switched out the bass part for a second guitar cause why not. There's a little bit of "Time Bastard" in the opening synth part, and there's a pretty big motif/reprise/stolen chord progression in the bridge of the song - I was trying to think of other Hatchetfield songs relating to Spankoffski stories and sexual temptation and all that, and I think this one did the trick lol. I'm super proud of the demo for this one - it came out somewhere between "Dead Girl Walking" from Heathers and "D.O.A." from The Lightning Thief, and I'm really in love with it. Hope y'all enjoy!
In the Worst Way
CHARLOTTE: Ted!  I can’t believe you’re thinking about that at a time like this, the whole world could be coming to an end!
TED: Yeah.  Exactly.  The whole world’s gone to shit and you’re worried about what someone else might think about you?
CHARLOTTE: Well, when you put it like that…
TED:
You think you’re such a good, good girl You pick your nails, you hide your stress But it’s the end of the fucking world So you can afford to decompress
You put your image on a throne You crumple underneath the crown But you need to grow a backbone Before it breaks you down
You’ve been in bed with a scumbag But baby, can’t you see You have a chance to upgrade To a sleazeball like me
So if I’m dying tonight I’ve got a great way to cap off my life I’ll be going out doing the thing I love Screwing around with another man’s wife Maybe there’s better things I should worry about today But I’d rather be here with you So let me say I want you in the worst way
CHARLOTTE: Oh, you’re such a horny bastard.
TED: Always have been, always will be.
CHARLOTTE:
My body’s telling me to run My mind is saying you’re no good But I need something just for fun So I guess I probably should
I’ve wished upon so many stars To be more confident and crude So I’ll embrace the love that’s ours With a badass attitude
TED: Okay!
CHARLOTTE:
There’s something in my gut that says You might still be alright Cause I need someone to love me Before we bite the dust tonight
So if I’m dying today I’m gonna let you lead me astray I might be meeting my maker pretty soon So I’ll get down on my knees and pray Maybe there’s better things I should worry about today But I’d rather be here with you So let me say I want you in the worst way
TED:
Ooh, I want you in the worst way, yeah
TED AND CHARLOTTE:
My happiness is coming first, I won’t be on my own Let all those without sin cast the first stones I’ll do all I can so you’ll never be alone At least until we kick the bucket
CHARLOTTE:
But should I just stick with the devil I know
TED AND CHARLOTTE:
Well, you know what, fuck it!
They make out passionately as a rocking electric guitar solo backs them up.
TED AND CHARLOTTE:
So if I’m dying right now I’ll spend this moment breaking a vow There’s nowhere else I need to be And I needed a little break anyhow Maybe there’s better things I should worry about today But I’d rather be here with you So let me say Yeah, let me say I want you in the worst way
TED:
Let’s let the chips fall where they may
TED AND CHARLOTTE:
I want you in the worst way
CHARLOTTE:
My husband’s brains fell out today
TED AND CHARLOTTE:
I want you in the worst way Maybe there’s better things I should worry about today But I’d rather be here with you So let me say I want you in the worst way
They kiss again on the button of the song.

The drive back to Lawrence was filled with Dean’s classic tunes blasting through the speakers. You couldn't help but join in with his infectious energy, laughter bubbling from the high of the success at the woodland. The brothers were surprised to find that you shared some taste in music with Dean, although preferring the more progressive side of 80's rock.
"I didn't take you for a Rush fan" Dean observed with a grin, turning his head towards you in the back seat.
You smirked. "There's a lot you don't know about me, boys."
"Well, we'll have to tease some secrets out of you tonight then, right Sammy?"
Sam chuckled, a glint in his eye. "Oh, absolutely."
The Impala pulled up to a bar that you suggested, not far from your home. It was in a quaint spot, dimly lit with a rustic charm that made it the perfect place for a celebratory drink. The bar was busy, but not rowdy, filled with the clinking of glasses and murmurs of lively conversation. Dean immediately took charge, ordering a round of drinks for you all.
Still unable to contain his energy, Dean challenged you both to a game of pool, his competitive nature coming to the surface. Sam, ever the strategist, offered pointers while sipping his drink, occasionally joining in with a smooth shot that surprised you all. You on the other hand, well… pool was not your forte. This amused the boys to no end.
Another round of drinks came, and Dean ordered food for the table. Conversation flowed as Sam and Dean shared stories from past hunts, the weight of the evening’s events momentarily forgotten. Their stories were a mix of heart-pounding adventures and comical mishaps, each tale drawing you in further. You found yourself laughing along, reveling in the shared joy. In the midst of the shared laughter, you caught Sam stealing glances your way. There was a silent understanding in those moments, a connection beyond words that spoke volumes.
As you settled into the confines of a booth, the atmosphere felt different, more relaxed and intimate. Dean noticed the unspoken connection between you and his brother and skillfully excused himself, engaging the bartender in lively conversation.
Alone now, save for the ambient buzz of the bar, you and Sam found yourselves drawn into an easy conversation, sharing stories and exchanging smiles, the air brimming with an undeniable chemistry. Sam appeared genuinely interested to learn more about your life, and you about his.
"So, have you always lived in Kansas?" Sam questioned, taking another sip of his beer.
"No actually, I grew up in Virginia. A small town called Mystic Falls".
Sam looked at you blankly.
You chuckled, "I don't expect you to have heard of it, nothing exciting happens there."
Sam smiled. "Mystic Falls... Sounds cozy."
"Yeah, you could say that." Your heart fluttered as you felt the weight of Sam's gaze, his attention focused completely on you.
In that moment, your phone started to buzz on the table. You glanced down at the caller ID - Bonnie. You decided not to answer, flicking on Do Not Disturb.
Sam raised his eyebrows. "Everything alright?"
"Yeah, it's just my friend, Bonnie. She's probably wanting to tell me about her date... She can wait." You smiled cheekily, putting your phone in your jacket pocket and turned towards Sam. "So...enough about me. I want to hear about you! Where's this mysterious bunker you live in?"
"Lebanon... Not far from here actually, just a few hours' drive. It's a pretty strategic location, right in the center of the country, which is pretty ideal for our line of work, and for the Men of Letters before us."
"Huh, makes sense... I still can't believe you live in the Men of Letters headquarters, that's crazy!"
"I'm sure I could convince Dean to let you see it at some point… you know, for your research… if you wanted?"
You smiled, meeting Sam's eyes. "I'd love that."
Your shared gaze held a subtle acknowledgment of the budding connection between you. Sam's tentative proposal felt like an invitation to something more than just a tour of a secret hideout—a chance to bridge the gap between your worlds.
As the night deepened, the connection between you grew like a magnetic pull, his presence an enchanting force gently drawing you nearer, the closeness inevitable, yet beautifully mesmerizing.
"Do you go back much? Back home?"
"Yeah, quite a lot- my parents are still there, I like to help them out as often as I can, and I have a great bunch of friends still in the town."
Sam nodded, listening to you intently. "You sound like you had a good life there."
"Yeah, I um... I moved to Lawrence when I started my doctoral studies, and just ended up staying. I miss my friends... But the opportunities here were better and the University are really good to me."
Sam nodded, thoughtfully.
"What about you? Do you see much of your family? You mentioned something about a family business?"
Sam's gaze dropped to where his hands were resting on the table, a hint of grief behind his eyes as he sighed a half-smile.
"Dean's my only family....well... the only family I have left." He looked up at you with a faux smile, attempting to hide the pain he felt from the memories that had plagued his whole life, but his eyes betrayed him. He had always been bad at hiding his feelings when he'd been drinking.
You felt the grief in his words, and the look in his eyes made a well of sadness form in your stomach. "Oh, Sam, I'm sorry... I never meant-"
He cut you off. "Stop... Please don't apologize."
"I'm s.... okay." You had to cut yourself off from apologizing for apologizing.
Sam fiddled with his watch and took a deep breath before speaking. "Our mom died when I was a baby... She was killed by a demon... We lost our father a few years ago... it's complicated... And kinda the reason why we do what we do."
You didn't know what to say. You couldn't think of any words that could do justice to what he just told you, so you reached out to him, placing your hand gently on his forearm, a gesture of compassion and understanding.
Sam's eyes met yours as he gave you a half smile, placing his opposite hand upon yours.
He brushed his fingers over your knuckles in unspoken reciprocation, his touch feather-light but purposeful.
This is the first time he has touched you intentionally, you realized, and he felt electric.
He gently parted your fingers with his, twining his hand against yours in an unexpectedly intimate gesture.
In that moment the world stopped spinning.
You could no longer hear the bustle around you, your attention completely zoned in on him.
You sat like that, hands clutching onto each other for what felt like an eternity.
You started to feel woozy. It wasn't from the alcohol.
Heat rose to the surface of your skin, snapping you out of your haze as you became increasingly lightheaded.
"Hey, um… it's getting a bit stuffy in here… fancy a walk?" You slowly relax your hand out of his grip and straighten up in your seat, acutely aware of the blush staining your cheeks.
"Uh, yeah, sure." Sam's eyes snapped back into reality from his glassy haze. He scanned the room, searching for Dean as he rose out of the booth, but he was nowhere to be seen. He checked his watch, completely disorientated to the time. 11:31pm. How long had Dean been gone? He had no idea.
The brisk November chill offered instant relief, cooling your skin and calming your nerves.
Sam slung his jacket over his shoulder with a grateful sigh, also clearly enjoying the cooling sensation.
You walked slowly, side by side, the weight of your earlier interaction on your minds.
You looked up at Sam beside you. "Hey, I really appreciate your openness in there. You didn't have to-"
Sam cut you off, softly. "I wanted to... I… It's hard to keep things bottled up all the time. I have to be strong, for Dean…". He glanced down at you. "Thank you for being there".
You smiled softly. "Of course."
As you walked, you tried to grapple with the feelings you were having. You liked Sam. That was clear. He seems kind, and is clearly intelligent... Not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. What harm could it do, huh?
A kaleidoscope of butterflies flapped their wings in your stomach as you tentatively invited Sam back to yours for 'coffee'.
"Coffee? You sure we need caffeine right now?" Sam laughed, playing it cool. Must not appear too keen...
"I have decaf" you countered, with a cheeky smile. Is he serious?
Sam chuckled softly at your quip, a subtle smirk tugging on his lips. “Decaf sounds perfect”.
Under the moonlit sky, a comfortable silence settled between you, the presence of Sam beside you a quiet comfort, but you couldn't suppress the flutter of anticipation in your stomach.
A yawn escaped your lips, your lack of sleep finally catching up with you. Or was it because you were nervous? It was hard to tell.
You let out a small chuckle, apologizing for your yawn. "Sorry..."
Sam chuckled back with an amused smile. "Come on, let's get you home..."
---
As you stepped into the warm haven of your home, a comforting embrace of familiar scents and soft lighting welcomed you. You brewed two cups of coffee and settled on the sofa in the lounge.
With each passing minute, the barrier of formality dissolved as you shared thoughts, dreams, and fears. Stolen glances and tender touches punctuated the moments, the magnetic pull between you impossible to ignore.
As the clock ticked past midnight, a subtle tension crackled in the air, a grounding reminder of the night slipping away.
You shifted closer, your knee grazing his thigh, his arm resting behind you.
Sam's gaze rose to your eyes, then dropped to your lips.
Your behaviors unconsciously mirrored his, the two of you completely in sync. He was the earth, and you were the moon, completely bound in his orbit.
Your hand slowly rose to his face to gently brush a lock of hair from his eyes.
"Y/N, I...." Sam breathed as he gazed at your mouth.
"Stop." You mirrored his earlier words as you cut him off with a gentle press of your lips to his.
His lips were soft and warm against yours, and he tasted of coffee.
You slowly pulled back to search his eyes. "Tell me if I'm wrong" you whispered, brows furrowing slightly.
His breathless reply brushed against your lips as he drew you closer. "You're not wrong" he rasped, a confirming murmur against your skin as he crushed his lips to yours.

Before You Go // Ethan Landry // Ch.6
Tumblr media
Masterlist Word Count: 1100 Warnings: ANGST and some smoochin Author's Note: I am SO SORRY that this came so late, its been so busy the past few weeks. We should be wrapping up the story soon and it shouldn't take me like two weeks to upload next time lol
After moving to New York with your friends after the Woodsboro killings, you try to leave all of it behind you and start over. You become friends with Ethan Landry, but after Ghostface returns, you start to become suspicious of everyone, especially him.
It felt like hours before Ethan returned to your hiding place in the office. You figured out that you were in that abandoned movie theater Mindy had shown you, the one with the Ghostface shrine. You had no idea what time it was or when your friends were supposed to show up, but you knew that their plan was doomed to fail.
When Ethan came back, he was wearing his Ghostface costume, mask in hand. He kneeled down next to you and began to undo the duct tape around your wrists and ankles.
“What are you doing?” You asked softly.
“Your friends are almost here. When they go into the theater, I need you to run and call the cops.” He avoided your eyes. “I need you to run and keep running, no matter what happens.”
With your hands free, he moved to your ankles. You reached out a tentative hand and brushed his curls from his face. “Ethan, you can’t do this.”
“I don’t have a choice.” His voice was firm, but his eyes betrayed him. You could see how scared he was. “I have to finish this.”
“What on earth could possibly be forcing you to do this?” You whispered. Ethan met your eyes.
“You don’t understand. My entire life, it’s always been about Richie. I’m the youngest, the second son. My dad has always loved Richie more than me, and of course, Quinn is his baby girl so she’s also more important to him.” He shook his head. “I’m a nuisance, an afterthought. He’s told me since I was little that I would never be as good of a son as Richie was.”
“So now you’re killing people because you want your dad to like you?” It seemed ridiculous, but you were lucky to have parents that loved and cared about you. You had no idea how it felt to be constantly second best. “Your dad’s love isn’t worth murder.”
“He wanted me to kill my mom.” Ethan spat. He looked like he wanted to vomit. “He knew she wouldn’t approve of his little plan and told me that he’d be so proud of me if I did what needed to be done.” He began to shake. “Of course, my mom is the only person who ever supported me. I couldn’t do it. It didn’t matter though because a week before I started college, she disappeared.”
Your heart dropped. You never thought that you’d feel bad for Ghostface, but the look on Ethan’s face made you want to cry. Your mom was also one of your biggest supporters and you couldn’t imagine how you’d feel if she was gone. You reached out and squeezed his hand. “Ethan, I’m so sorry about your mom.”
“If I don’t do this, he’ll kill me.” Ethan shook his head. “He’ll kill you too and I can’t lose you.”
“Then leave with me.” You grabbed his face, forcing him to look at you. “Ethan, you can leave. Sam and all of them will probably survive, your dad will go to prison, and we’ll be safe.”
Ethan let out a frustrated growl. “Where will we go?” He stood and started pacing back and forth. “If my dad is arrested, he’ll testify that I was part of this and then we’d be running from the cops for the rest of our lives. Y/N, I can’t ask you to do that, to live that kind of life with me.”
You stood on shaking legs and grabbed his face with both hands. He froze, his eyes wide as he stared at you. “I’m trying to save your life because I care about you. If being with you means running, then I’ll run to the edges of the world with you.” You gave him a small smile. “Let me save you.”
Ethan took a deep breath and slammed his lips to yours. It was full of desperation, his hands pulling you impossibly close as if he was afraid you’d disappear. Your mind was melting as his touch, barely able to comprehend that you were actually kissing him.
Your back hit the wall and you suddenly found yourself caged in by Ethan’s strong arms. One hand was against the wall and his other hand had a vice-like grip on your waist, his fingers sneaking under your shirt to brush against your skin. You shivered at his touch and he smiled against your lips. His teeth nipped at your bottom lip and you parted them slightly. He deepened the kiss, happily exploring your mouth as his hands started to roam. You slid your hand under his shirt, pressing your palm against his stomach. His muscles tensed under your hand and he let out a ragged breath. Nothing mattered in that moment. It was the two of you against the world, nothing could break you apart. It should feel wrong, kissing a boy who’d killed people, but you felt like you belonged there in his arms.
“I’ve wanted to do this for so long.” He murmured. Ethan pulled away and nuzzled his face in your neck, leaving soft kisses across your neck and shoulders. You tangled your fingers in his hair and let out a sigh. “I’ve had a crush on you since the day we met.”
“Really?” You whispered. He nodded. “Well now you definitely have to come with me.”
Ethan raised his head and met your eyes. “Why?”
“Because I’m beginning to realize that I can’t live without you.” You could feel your eyes filling with tears. “I need this, I need you.”
He smiled. “Yeah?”
“Ethan, I-”
The door flew open and Ethan was ripped from your grasp. It was Officer Bailey, eyes fiery with rage. He threw Ethan to the ground and pointed a gun at you.
“So this is why you keep coming in here.” Officer Bailey pressed the barrel of the gun to your forehead. “I should shoot her right now and be done with it. I thought I told you to get rid of her.”
“Dad, she doesn’t have to die.” Ethan coughed, a hand pressed to his ribs. His fall had knocked the wind out of him. “Please.”
“There is so much weakness in you.” Officer Bailey glanced down at his son with disappointment. “Richie would’ve done it by now. You were supposed to kill her at the apartment.”
“Dad, I-” Ethan was cut off by a swift kick to the ribs, causing him to go into a coughing fit. Officer Bailey turned back to you.
“He’ll just have to kill you in front of your friends now. Let’s go sweetheart.”
