#two drafts and i don't know if i'll ever finish them

Leaving this blog.
With my mini-series finishing up soon, I've decided to leave this blog as well as my AO3 account once it’s finished. This is not a decision I've made lightly, but circumstances have left this a place where I no longer feel safe.
As of now, I won't be deactivating this blog and will be leaving my fics up for anyone who'd still like to read them. I can't say this decision won't change later, but right now I feel that I've put too much work into this blog to simple delete it.
Below the cut is an explanation of why I'm making this decision, and what has been happening on this blog since the end of last year. It's not required to read or anything to understand the gist of this post; it's simply for my own peace of mind knowing that I spoke up about it. There will be topics that are possibly triggering such as harassment, threats, and racism so please mind the warnings and tags.
The mini-series is queued to finish next week, but there will be no more fic polls or wip wednesdays. I'll still be on here to make sure the queue does its job, and maybe post some stuff from my old drafts as a last bit of fun.
I'll have dms tentatively open for the next two-ish weeks for those who'd like to follow my new account, however I will not be answering anything from empty blogs. After that, asks and dms will be turned off, and I won't be coming back to this blog very often, if at all.
I cannot say thank you enough to the wonderful readers I've had and the amazing people I've met. I don't think I would've ever continued writing without your support and friendship. There's nothing I can do to show my appreciation for all of you.
Maybe we'll see each other again. If not, I hope your inspiration is always flowing, and 2024 treats you kindly.
Mothie 💜
Again, TW: rape/death threats, violent racism, repeated harassment, and mental health.
Back in November, I started getting rude, mean-spirited anons. It wasn't anything I was too bothered with because it didn't happen often and, honestly, my inbox gets flooded for a week or so anytime I post about certain topics. I blocked, deleted, reported and moved on thinking whoever it was would get bored and leave.
However, what started as a few rude anons calling me a bitch or stupid turned into a lot of anons being vile and racist which only worsened over the next few months.
I spoke about it in this post (link) near the end of November. In that post, I mentioned that those were the nicer asks and that was not an exaggeration. I have gotten my fair share of shitty anons as seen here (link) when I had to take a break from my blog because of said anons, but I have never gotten the amount of vitriol that I saw in these asks.
When I turned anon off, I started getting even worse messages from empty blogs that would either be blocked or deactivate within a week. When I turned my askbox off, I started getting hateful DMs. When I turned DMs off, it jumped from Tumblr to my other social medias which I had to private, completely avoid, or outright delete.
I got messages attacking my writing, calling me slurs, threatening to find me and rape or kill me, sending me explicit porn and rape videos while insulting my sexuality, and going into gross detail about how much people I interacted with hated me or how I would never be as good as them. I tried to power through it, pretending everything was fine while I pulled away from this blog, from writing, from friends that I loved and talked to every day. Everything about this blog, the fandoms I enjoyed, the people I talked to, made me so anxious because of these constant messages.
I took several breaks while dealing with this in therapy, repeatedly trying to come back and get comfortable on this blog, but within a few days of coming back the messages would start up again, either here or on any of my social medias I tried to unprivate, and I couldn't deal with it.
Only in the last week or two has it started to slow down and stop on a few of my other socials, which is the only reason I even feel comfortable making this post. However, in regards to this blog and my feelings toward it, the damage is done.
I don't think I can ever truly convey how isolating this has been. So many of these messages were about how I've spoken about my struggles as a black woman in fandom, how much of a burden it puts on the people who interact with me, how inferior I am to them and that I am everything that's wrong with fandom.
I felt scared and anxious to talk to anyone about this, especially people mentioned in those messages, out of fear that this harassment would jump to them. There are friendships that I stepped away from that I will never get back because of that. There are friends that I've felt like I was betraying by never telling them about what was happening because I felt too ashamed about letting this get to me.
I constantly worried that making a post like this would feel like, "Oh, Mothie's whining and trauma-dumping into the void about fandom racism again", that those messages would be right and it would force people to feel like they had to support me. Or worse, that people would agree and it would only make things worse. I've wrestled with so much guilt trying to decide to make this post and figure out what to do to make me trust myself again.
Ultimately, I don't think I was wrong for talking about my issues in fandom, and I don't think anything I've said has warranted this kind of harassment. I don’t know the who’s or why’s behind of this, but I've come to terms with the fact that I'll never really know. Truthfully, I'm not sure it even matters at this point. In the end, I think moving on from this blog entirely would be the best thing for me right now.
But, man, does it fucking suck.
This was the blog where I felt comfortable enough to start writing again, to start posting my fics. It's the blog where I met so many friends, got the courage to join new communities, found new hobbies, new music, new things to enjoy in life. It feels silly to say about a blog, but this was a place where I felt like I was able to carve out a space for myself. I put so much work into making it my own, and now the only thing I feel about it is anxious.
Hate messages and threats and racism have always been a part of fandom, and the internet as a whole. I’ve known since I started participating in fandom spaces that it was going to and continue to happen. I've known that I had to have a tough skin, especially if I ever spoke up about problems I faced because no one was going to have my back if I didn't have my own. I thought I had learned how to deal with it, and how to make a safe space for myself. But this goes beyond that. I did not deserve this. No one deserves this.
In some ways, it feels like admitting defeat, like I'm weak or hypocritical for not being as strong as I pretended I was and leaving. In other ways, it feels freeing to start over, and I'm choosing to view look at this optimistically even if it bittersweet. I don't want to let this scare me away from writing or from speaking about things that are important to me. All I can do now is say I'm so incredibly sorry to those I've hurt by stepping away or keeping this secret, and make sure I'm able to at least leave this blog on as happy a note as I can have.

bleeding me dry like a goddamn vampire [K.Bishop]
Tumblr media
pairing: vampire!kate bishop x reader
summary: a failed mugging leads to you discovering kate's biggest secret...and her finding out yours.
warnings: yes, i still suck at summaries, shhh SMUT -> minors, you know the drill, walk away now [porn with almost too much plot; blood and fangs and all the stereotypically hot vampire things; so many neck kisses it should be illegal; fingering {R receiving}; kate being a tease and owning it; praise + degradation + two seconds of humiliation]
wordcount: 3.3k
a/n: do i have like ten requests sitting in my inbox rn? yes. was this idea going to leave me alone if i didn't write it? no. i've been trying to finish this fic since JULY, GUYS, AND I NEED IT OUT OF MY DRAFTS AND INTO THE WORLD! it wasn't supposed to be smut, but i couldn't help it. i don't think i'll have time to do any real kinktober-type fics so enjoy this little treat instead. ALSO, a lot of the vampire dynamics/lore in this fic was inspired by first kill so go check it out if you haven't seen it.
* * * * * * *
You were working yet another late night at Bishop Security. A normal occurrence considering your boss’s distaste for coming into the office when the sun is high in the sky. She almost never comes in before 3 PM and almost always stays in until way past midnight.
Pretty much everyone who works for her hates her unusual schedule, claiming she’s way too new to her position to be slacking off so much. Everyone seems to share that view…everyone except you since being her secretary means you get to share her schedule.
Which conveniently means you get to sleep in most days.
She’s never offered an explanation, not that you’ve ever tried asking her about it, but the rumor swirling around is that she’s too busy partying and sleeping around to bother showing up at the office at a regular time.
You don’t doubt the validity of that rumor but you’re also sure it’s not the whole story. There have been times when Kate has forced you to leave at 2 AM while she’s stayed behind to write up a report or prepare for her next meeting.
She’s young and reckless and way too rich for her own good but she’s not completely irresponsible or arrogant. Unfortunately, the media loves making up stories about the ‘Tony Stark of Bishop Security’ almost as much as your co-workers love gossiping.
Maybe if those rumors held more truth to them you wouldn’t be where you are right now: speed-walking out of the building and trying to make it to your car before something bad happens. You’re aware of the irony of working at a security company yet being terrified of walking through the parking lot. But hey! It’s New York City, your fears are more than valid.
You’re too busy arguing with yourself about said irony to notice the person sneaking up behind you until they forcefully grab your shoulder and slam you into the nearest concrete wall. The force of the push forces all the air out of your lungs, leaving you unprepared for the right hook your attacker throws your way.
The ringing in your ears is the only thing you can focus on for a few seconds. You see their mouth moving and you’re barely able to make out the name ‘Kate Bishop’ before they raise their fist again. You squeeze your eyes shut and wait for the punch to land.
Except it never does.
Your eyes snap open right as your shoulders are grabbed again but this time, the person standing in front of you is none other than Kate Bishop herself. “Hey, hey, it’s alright. Just focus on me. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I think so.” You’re pretty sure the pounding in your chest has more to do with the proximity between the two of you than your leftover fear after being attacked. “I just got pushed around a little.”
“More like punched around,” she says with a small chuckle.
“That’s not funny.” Despite your words, a noticeable smile spreads along your face.
Kate’s eyes trail down your face and hone in on your lips. The sudden attention makes you subconsciously lick your lips and a slightly metallic taste fills your mouth. You assume the look on her face is due to her concern over you until you notice the way her pupils dilate as blood gathers on your bottom lip.
“Um…Kate? Are you okay?”
Your voice seems to bring her back to the present moment. She leans back a little before she speaks again. “Yeah, we should probably get out of here.”
You hear her words but your gaze is glued right to her mouth and the two protruding teeth you’re pretty sure you’ve never seen before. For a second, you think you’re imagining things but it’s practically impossible to deny what you’re seeing with the way the light bounces off of her teeth.
You had always thought Kate was hiding something. Something that ran deeper than her long list of ex-lovers or weird schedules. But the place your mind is going to right now seems far too illogical. Superheroes, aliens, even the damn multiverse, everything else seemed much more plausible than vampires.
And yet, the proof is staring right at you with caring blue eyes and a nervous smile that tells you you’re both thinking about the same thing.
“I can explain,” she assures you before extending her hand out for you to take. “But you’re gonna have to come with me.”
“You’re insane.”
She shrugs, not at all phased by your comment. “Maybe a little…I promise I won’t bite.”
You don’t know whether to laugh at her joke or slap that look off her face for having the audacity to make it in the first place. Ultimately, your trust in her wins out and you reach for her hand. It’s just one small choice but you have a feeling it’s going to change everything between the two of you.
She starts to lead you toward her car, ignoring your protests like a real gentleman. You weren’t going to act like you had never imagined Kate taking you back to her apartment but you had imagined it under different, significantly sexier, circumstances.
You get into her car and ignore the way your heart is pounding in your chest. You tell yourself it’s only due to the leftover adrenaline from being attacked but you know it has more to do with the overwhelming smell of the archer than anything else.
A few minutes of silence pass before you work up the courage to start a conversation…even though you know you’re not going to like any of the answers you’re searching for. “What do you think that guy wanted?”
“What guy?” Kate’s eyes remain glued to the road ahead, not giving you a chance to decipher the look on her face. “The one who tried to mug you?”
“He wasn’t trying to mug me, he was looking for you.”
You notice the way her jaw clenches even with the darkness that envelops the car. “Looking for me? What are you talking about?”
“Kate, don’t play stupid with me. You can’t possibly think he broke into a highly secured parking lot just to mug the first random secretary he saw.” Her silence is enough of an answer. “So, who is he and what does he want with you?”
“I can’t tell you that. It’ll only put you in more danger.”
“More danger than that?”
“Yes.” You’re sure you’ve never heard her sound so serious before. “Believe it or not, you finding out about this wasn’t in my plans.”
You’re going to regret asking but your mind has been whirling with thoughts and ideas since you first caught sight of those fangs. “What exactly is…’this’?”
“Exactly what you think it is.”
Her tone leaves no room for questions or arguments. Despite that, the only thing that fills your mind is questions. And answers you don’t want to think about.
“Stop looking at me like that,” she says, effectively cutting off your flurry of thoughts.
“Why?”
The hunger on her face when she turns to look at you tells you all you need to know. You should probably be scared considering the power she holds over you right now. Not only is she the one driving, she could probably crush you with her bare hands…or sink her sharp fangs into your neck and drain you dry.
Fear is certainly not what you feel at that thought though.
The corners of her mouth quirk up into the cockiest smirk you’ve ever seen. “You’re into some weird stuff, aren’t you, sweetheart?”
“What else are you?” The way you shift in your seat doesn’t go unnoticed by the brunette. “Some kind of mind reader?”
“No need,” she replies. “Your scent gave you away.”
Your face heats up at her words but you’re not sure if it’s from embarrassment or something else. Thankfully, she pulls up to her apartment complex before you can dig yourself into a deeper hole.
A weirdly comfortable silence surrounds you as you make your way out of the car and into her apartment. You’ve known Kate for a while and you’ve always felt safe around her, something that not even those sharp fangs can take away. Especially when she places a strong hand on the small of your back while she leads the way.
For someone who’s richer than most people will ever be in their whole life, her apartment isn’t extremely lavish or full of ridiculous decorations. It could even be considered minimalistic if it weren’t for the numerous bows scattered all over the living room, the chewed-up boots near Lucky’s dog bed, and the overwhelming amount of clothes piled up on the couch.
“Sorry, I don’t usually have people over,” she says almost as if reading your mind. “I’m not usually so messy.”
“You and I both know that’s a lie, Katherine.”
She makes a disgusted face at the sound of her full name, her expression somewhere between adorable and amusing. “You didn’t have to say it like that.”
You’re about to make another stupid comment when your brain short circuits at the sight of Kate unbuttoning her shirt, the black tank top she always wears underneath straining against her torso and all the muscles you know are hiding out of sight.
The corners of her mouth quirk up just enough to give away the fact that she knows exactly what she’s doing and she’s one-hundred percent doing it on purpose. You’re just grateful she doesn’t verbalize how obvious your breathlessness is.
You attempt to look away from her but she moves her arm just enough for you to notice the dark stain on her shirt. It takes you a second to figure out what it’s from and you mentally curse the brunette for not telling you she had gotten hurt.
“Kate,” you call out once you find your voice again. “You’re bleeding.”
“What?” She looks down at her arm, clearly pretending she hadn’t noticed the wound yet, before shrugging her shoulders. “Oh, yeah, it’s fine.”
“Fine? Why didn’t you tell me you got stabbed?”
“It’s just a scratch.”
She tries to wave you off but it’s too late. You’re already gripping her shoulder and pushing her down onto her overpriced leather couch. “You’re an idiot. Sit down.”
She grumbles something about being able to take care of herself but you don’t listen to a word she says. Instead, your hands reach out for the first-aid kit she keeps on her coffee table.
“Take your shirt off.”
“y/n, if you wanted to see me naked, all you had to do was ask, baby.” Her voice carries that cocky tone that makes you want to punch her and kiss her at the same time.
“Shut up,” you mutter while attempting to look unaffected.
There are too many thoughts swirling around your brain and most of them have to do with Kate doing some very inappropriate things to you, with or without her fangs. The truth is, you can act like you’re only attracted to the danger that could potentially come your way now that you know her secret but she’s always been far too good at scrambling your brain with a few well-placed words.
She finally does what you ask, pushing her shirt off her shoulders and revealing inches of skin you’ve never seen from such close proximity before. You’re able to pass off your clear ogling as concern as you step closer to examine the small knife wound.
It’s only a few inches long but deep enough to have caused her to bleed the entire way here. You wordlessly open up the first-aid kit and start disinfecting the area, doing your best to ignore the soft groans that leave the brunette’s lips.
“Is all of that stuff true?” You ask a few minutes later, the smallest hint of a joke in your tone.
The corners of Kate’s mouth quirk up into a small smirk that tells you she knows exactly what you’re talking about. “What stuff?”
“You know, the stuff about silver and garlic and burning in the sun?”
“Yes to the silver, no to the garlic, and kind of to the sun. I sunburn really easily but I don’t think that’s due to the vampire thing.”
You laugh at her response, the sound nervous yet warm. It’s still too much to wrap your head around but at least she’s not beating around the bush anymore. “How long have you…?”
“All my life,” she replies with an almost inaudible wince as you start to bandage her up. “It’s a long, complicated story but my family and I are descendants of the first vampires to ever exist. We’re legacies.”
“Sounds fancy.”
She chuckles while she shakes her head. “It’s a pain in the ass.”
“I’m sure there are worse things to be.”
You finish securing the bandage in place right as the words leave your lips. Now that there’s nothing to distract you, you realize how close together the two of you actually are. You’re standing right between Kate’s open legs, the heat of her body warming you up in ways that leave your legs shaky.
“y/n, I…I’ve done a lot of things that-”
“You don’t have to tell me. I don’t need to know any of that to know I trust you.”
She looks up at you, her usually bright eyes looking soft and vulnerable for the first time in a long time. It’s almost startling how quickly she changes from the cocky and overconfident Kate Bishop everyone knows to this gentle and hesitant version of herself.
A version of her you can't help but love.
Your feelings must be more than obvious by this point but she doesn't push. You've never known her to be slow or patient or particularly sensitive to what other people want and yet she waits.
The seconds feel like hours until her eyes finally drift down to your lips…and the small amount of blood that still coats them.
You shouldn’t be doing this.
The few brain cells that aren’t completely focused on the brunette in front of you tell you to move away from her before you cross a line you won’t be able to come back from. A line that is unprofessional and stupid and full of problems and rumors that will probably ruin your life.
Unfortunately, crossing that line is the only thing that’s been on your mind since the day you started working for her. And the urge to find out what her lips taste like and what her hands feel like on your skin has only gotten stronger since.
“Tell me to stop and I will,” she whispers, her voice thick with emotions you don’t want to think about.
You lean in closer, your breath fanning across her lips while you grab her hands and place them on your waist. “Please don’t stop.”
“y/n…” Her voice comes out somewhere between a whine and a groan. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
It’s unclear whether she’s talking about her vampire side or her serial heartbreaker side but you ignore her warning all the same. You’ve wanted her far too long to let something that seems so irrelevant right now stop you.
“I’ll be fine,” you assure her, letting her pull you close until you're finally sitting on her lap. “I only need you right now.”
The weight and warmth of your body on her lap causes her to take in a sharp breath, one that leaves no doubts about what it is she wants to do with you. “Fuck…”
She leans forward, completely ignoring your lips and instead moving her face toward your neck, her nose brushing against your skin and making your heart skip multiple beats. Her grip on your hips tightens and you swear you can feel the smirk that adorns her features right before she attaches herself to your neck.
Your head tilts back to allow her free access while you do your best not to grind against her. You fail miserably the second her fangs start to nip your skin. She doesn’t bite down hard enough to puncture your neck but the feeling has you desperately bucking your hips in search of relief anyway.
“Kate-” You gasp out, your hands holding onto her arms for support.
She chuckles while one of her hands starts its journey down inside your jeans. “I know, sweetheart. I can smell how much you need me…how desperate you are to feel me inside you. I bet you can’t think about anything else right now.”
You’re not sure when it happened but her hesitation has clearly gone out the window by now. All that remains is the current of need that flows eagerly between your two bodies.
You let out a soft moan as her fingers dip inside your soaked underwear and find the mess she’s turned you into with a few teasing words and restrained kisses. “Please.”
“Such a good girl,” she murmurs. “How can I deny someone as sweet as you?”
Despite her words, she still doesn’t give you what you truly want. Instead, she presses two fingers against your throbbing clit and starts drawing small circles, her movements slow and calculated. Your hips move in response and you suddenly realize what it is she wants from you.
There’s no time for whines or embarrassment, no time for anything except desire and desperation.
You grind down on her fingers and let out a string of incoherent noises that leave Kate groaning into your neck. “Just like that, baby. Show me how much you want me.”
You do just as she asks, rolling your hips and relishing the non-stop kisses she lands on your overheated skin. Her teeth keep teasing you and it’s all you can do not to beg her to bite you hard enough to make you dizzy.
She told you earlier she wasn’t a mind reader but you’re about to call bullshit on that considering the way she picks up on all your dirty thoughts without a single word from you.
“I could drain you so easily right now. You’re so desperate you’d just let me, wouldn’t you? You’d let me sink my teeth into you so long as I kept fucking you, wouldn’t you?”
Your sounds of ecstasy should be more than an answer but they’re not enough for the brunette. She picks up the pace of her fingers and turns your brain to mush long enough for you to let out the truth.
“Yes! God, yes. Please- Don’t stop.”
“Good girl.”
She plants a few more kisses against your neck before she finally bites you. Hard. Hard enough to make your eyes squeeze shut and your legs tense up. The pain borders on unbearable until she starts sucking.
Your mind spins endlessly as all the different sensations overwhelm you. You’re not sure what to focus on but your body makes the decision for you.
You gasp, although the sound comes out more like a whine than anything else, and Kate takes the hint. She plunges her fingers inside of you right as you fall over the edge, the tips curled just enough to hit that one spot that has you seeing stars that weirdly resemble the color of her eyes.
You’re shaking and panting and dizzier than ever but it all feels far too good. The pleasure and the pain roll together to give you the most intense orgasm you’ve ever had and you suddenly wonder how you lived so long without knowing such ecstasy existed.
Kate detaches herself from your neck right as the ringing in your ears fades. You open your eyes to the sight of her, pupils blown wide and her lips stained red. You subconsciously clench around her fingers and she smiles.
“I was right,” she says, her voice low and far too controlled for your liking. “You taste as delicious as you smell.”
You don’t waste another second attaching your lips to hers and drowning out all her cocky statements.
You end up spending the rest of the night getting to know Kate in ways you’d only ever dreamed about before, completely oblivious to the way word already starts spreading about your intimate encounter outside the walls of her apartment.

Hey! If possible, could you write doppio dropscythe x reader dating headcanons? Maybe the reader is also a vtuber in nijisanji rn, but it’s a secret from the internet?
i had this draft since the cheftective era and haven’t touched it in a few months, i’m not so sure why, especially since it was almost done... if it seems dated then that's why. thank you for your patience anon, i loved writing for doppio! he's very difficult but very fun!
tags: established relationship, fluff, gender neutral reader, lore compliant, reader is a vtuber, reader is an xsoleil student, secret relationship/getting caught, pet names
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
🐣 Doppio Dropscythe
It's funny, because at a first glance, Doppio seems like the type of guy that takes what he wants. He's never shied away from who he is and wears his heart on his sleeve; one of the many reasons you fell for him.
But he doesn't. You collab often with him and you can tell there's something unsaid between you two, or something more underneath the surface-level entertainment. Something that goes beyond the audience's heads.
It's not quite a certainty but you're convinced you need to do something. It's just that as streamers, especially streamers that work under a corporation, you want to know exactly what to do.
You end up talking to Ver for advice. As the President of Xsoleil, he's a good listener, especially since you know how close he and Doppio are. He wouldn't dare judge you when his friend's own feelings are on the line as well as yours.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
You enter the Xsoleil student council office. As expected, Ver swivels around in a big leather office chair that makes him look more imposing than his dorky-sweet-tooth personality ever could. "Reader, it's good to see you. I liked your stream last Friday. How can I help you?"
"Nothing business. I'm here to ask about Doppio."
At the mention of his name Ver leans back in his chair, and you tense. You explain yourself: how lucky you are to work with him, how wonderful of a man he is, and how much you care about him. It spills out of you like water in a strainer. You've kept your feelings bottled up for so long, and Ver has such an accepting energy that makes you want to uncover everything you've been hiding. After all, if anyone could give you approval and advice on your feelings about Doppio, it would be the president himself.
By the time you finish, however, he seems far less surprised than you expected. "You should tell him."
"But what if-"
"Just do it." He presses his fingers between his eyes like he's alleviating a headache. "Trust me on this one. Please. Hopefully if you do so within the next week, Meloco's earnings from the betting pool will go back into our funding."
Somehow, that doesn't surprise you, and you're too happy they approve to get frustrated. You request Ver's blessing. He obliges. "Not that you need it. We're just happy there's someone out there for him." Ver's eyes glint. "Treat him right. If you don't, I'll be very disappointed. And Kotoka will start a smear campaign on Instagram."
"Duly noted, Kaichou."
"And he'd be sad."
"Can you trust me too?" You ask. Ver nods. "That's the last thing I want to do. If we're going to do this, I want to make sure I give him everything he deserves."
"Good answer." He smiles, like everything's fallen into place. "I meant what I said, you didn't need my blessing, but you definitely have it now."
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
When you finally muster up the courage to ask Doppio out, it's like he forgets to talk. In fact, he does. He sputters out happy noises that don't even make up sentences for a solid minute before he remembers how to say "yes."
Doppio makes a lot of noises even when he does know how to talk, and it might be one of the most endearing things about him. You've lovingly started calling them Doppi-noises simply because no one reacts quite like how Doppi reacts. He’s so silly and there isn’t a single word in the English language to describe how silly he is.
He even talks to inanimate objects sometimes when he's alone. It's not much different from how he talks in front of others, but his voice is lower and gentler, and when he realizes you could hear him thank his oven for preheating and the mixing bowls for not spilling ingredients, he spouts out a flustered Doppi-noise with averted eyes and red along his face.
Hanging out with your boyfriend is never boring. He brings so much energy wherever he goes that anything becomes a story, including seemingly mundane things like studying.
Whenever you go grocery shopping he somehow always remembers that one thing you mentioned a few days ago that you wanted to buy but didn't put on the list, and buys it with his own money to give to you, but he doesn't remember to get his own stuff sometimes??
The amount of times Doppio bought you a snack or found a good deal on a candy you've been craving, but forgot to buy hand soap... he usually runs by himself to the store, grabs whatever he forgot, and then comes back to your door nearly out of breath.
Doppio always makes you laugh. He's so goofy when he tries to be, and so earnest when he's serious that his charm is never lost on you. He likes to make you smile.
On the days when your lives as Xsoleil students and streamers get too busy to pay attention to one another, you tend to watch his VODs while you work, and you can pretend like it's just another domestic day where you both tend to your own chores while still enjoying shared company.
You take a fifteen-minute break to reset your brain from working so hard, and you hear Doppio on stream offhandedly mention something with a giggle, and you cackle when you realize it's an inside joke you both share. Then you notice no one in chat even pays attention to what he just said, and you laugh out loud even more. Even when you're apart, he's still thinking about you. He's loyal to a fault.
To this day Doppio still tweets his nonsensical ramblings. But sometimes you reply to them like you understand exactly what he's trying to say! You roll with his humor so well and so quickly after he tweets sometimes, that not only are your fans totally surprised you can comprehend him, but some of your other coworkers in Nijisanji have to ask you to translate what he's saying.
Confession incoming: most of the time you don't understand entirely. But when he checks Twitter and notices the reply from you, his face lights up, and rolling with it makes him bright as a sunbeam. To be fair, you get a lot of his jokes that no one else does. You know how to quip with him and he appreciates it a lot.
Doppio's energy is always infectious, but only so intense when he wants to be. He's always uniquely himself, but he can chill out, and he appreciates when he can. The D in Doppio Dropscythe stands for Downtime!
The whole chuuni thing isn't an act—that's just how he is—but sometimes it's nice when he doesn't need to constantly proclaim his position as the Duke of Discipline. Sometimes it's nice to know he can come home to his Devoted that already knows he's the greatest cheftective out there no matter what he does.
By the way, when you're alone by yourselves, he calls you his Devoted. You think it's so dramatic for the little moments and he thinks it's a bit embarrassing, but neither of you have figured out another word for "lover" that starts with a D, so, Devoted it is.
(Meanwhile you call him Doppippi. Not so chuuni, and you don’t call him that regularly—too mushy—but you swear his face gets a little more colorful whenever you call him by that name.)
It nearly drives you insane how cute Doppio can be. Here he is, one of the tallest and fittest people you know, with piercings and eyeliner and messy hair, and pointed eyes that scream punk rock energy—but he coos at any animal he sees and sticks out his tongue a little whenever he's concentrating on a game, and he turns pink as your hand brushes against the inside of his wrist.
But at the same time, he's still such a badass that you can't resist him. He likes to mess around and tease you, and he knows how to use his appeal to his advantage. It’s no secret he has a sadistic streak, either.
It’s the best of both worlds. He’s so hardcore that it makes the gap moe even more effective when he decides to be cute, and when he's soft and silly it just serves as even harder whiplash when he acts cool.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
You entered Doppio's streaming room with a glass of water and a light snack, and exchanged a few words while Doppio was typing out a before-stream message on his waiting screen.
So how did you get here, a finger wired under his collar to bring him closer, his hands eager as they clutch around the shirt on your back?
You kiss him, hungry and stupid, drawn to his magnetism. His teeth are pointed. They leave imprints on your tempted mouth, dragging magma over your thoughts, the blind come-ons that dusted over what makes sense. The stream should be starting soon but you can’t find it in yourself to resist.
Steam rises where Doppio hangs his tongue along yours, and so do his hands, large palms rubbing up your back and fingers on your shoulders. You’ve learned that he purrs when pleased; a soft, soothed groan pours from the corners of curved lips. Like an engine muffled by your connection.
You readjust, parting just enough to speak, though your words bounce back into his mouth. “You should prepare for the stream.”
“Done.” He holds you along your neck next, ready to go another round.
“Your Scythekicks are going to get lonely.”
“But I don’t wanna stop kissing you.”
“I don’t want to either,” you say. “I mean, you can always delay by fifteen.”
“I’ll send the message in chat, ‘kay?”
Even though the keyboard is just inches away, Doppio still brings you in with a loose arm around your shoulder and neck. Your forehead presses up to his cheek, not quite a hug but just as casually intimate. He removes his arm when he places a quick smooch to your temple.
By now all of Xsoleil’s vtuber talents are pros at sending delay messages and Doppio is no exception. The keys clack along in a steady cadence, until the tapping patters out, slowly and surely, with gaps of space between every keystroke.
It’s comedic like everything Doppio does whether he knows it or not. One final key sounds out before your boyfriend folds his hands over his mouth, and lets out a tiny “Huh?”
He stares at the screen. It’s strange to see him this motionless. You’re not too concerned, until you watch his head sink into his hands. “Er, Doppippi? You alright?”
Doppio buries his head a little bit further. It muffles him as he softly chants. “No, no, no, no, no, no, no.”
“What’s the matter?”
“No no no no no no no no noooo.”
"Did something happen?" You pat his head comfortingly, before looking back up at the screen, where he was typing into chat. "It usually isn't this difficult for you to send a message..."

"...Ah."
Doppio groans. You wish you could groan too, but your throat goes too dry to make a sound. The floor can't swallow you up fast enough.
"Um, I, uhhh," you say eloquently. "S-surprise?"
You've never seen the chat go this fast for so long. You can barely read individual messages before they speed away to make room for new ones.

A normal broom: are reader and pio dating???
You nearly choke on your spit despite the moisture leaving your mouth. "Dating?"
By now, Doppio flopped down in his chair so much that he's flat against the desk. Even though embarrassment crawls down your back, your hand rubs his head and shoulders as reassurance while you continue. "Maybe we should've announced that we were dating sooner."
At that Doppio launches straight up in his seat like a bamboo shoot. "Yeah, but I wanted to do a special stream for it, and take viewers' questions and give bad love advice and have a column name like Doppi's Dreamy Passionland and then announce that we're together at the end!" His eyes squeeze shut as he spits out his thoughts, pink washing over his cheeks the more he talks. "But-but-but what's the point of the Scythekicks knowing I have rizz if they can tell I'm not a whiz?"
You know the blood is rushing to your head too, but even now, your shoulders raise as you giggle. "You know our fans would be supportive whether you had a stream or not."
"But the contenttttt," he whines. He blinks to life with a pout and puppyish eyes, a sign that he's being dramatic for the sake of being dramatic. There's no hiding the fact that you're both mortified, but at least you know just as well as he does that he'll bounce back.
"Content later, whatever this is, now." You sheepishly look back at the screen. "Um, thanks for coming, everyone. How about, uh, Doppio and I take a thirty minute delay and we'll get back to you if the stream is still on the agenda."
You don't wait for any answers before you finish Doppio's half-written delay message, pin it to chat, and make triple-sure that the mic is muted this time.
Doppio rests his cheek on his palm, squishing his blush. "I could've done the stream, you know."
"Okay, but do you really want to after that fiasco?"
He averts his eyes, then relinquishes. "...Touché."
"Thought so," you say. "So what do you want to do now?"
"Nothing." Doppio slumps over and places his head on your shoulder, too exhausted to wrap his arms around you even though he leans into the fabric of your shirt and the body heat underneath it. "Let's just not do nothing."
So you take the initiative instead, and hold him properly, letting him sink like a weighted blanket. "You know, that was embarrassing, but if I can say? I'm glad they know we're an item."
He rests in the crook of your neck, letting you envelop him while tired hands lay on your back. "About time they figure out I'm yours." Your scent fills his nose and warms his blush, and even though he thought he was at his weakest on stream, he still finds his reservations breaking down as you let him be vulnerable, just for this moment. "But can't you be mine? Just for now."
You hug him tighter. "Always."

Sneaky for part 3 of unicorn? I'm so excited guru you don't understand!
I'm so glad you're excited!!! I'm just over 4800 words into part 3 now. I'll give you a little something below the cut :) Thank you!!
I would give you guys more but there's so much going on in this part that some bits would just give too much away. Also this is raw from my drafts and not edited or proofread so the final version might look a little different. xoxo
Part 1 | Part 2
Jax bought the first pitcher as the rest of you claimed a nice table close to the dart boards at the back of the bar. It was a Friday night so the place got packed not long after you’d arrived.
You lost badly at the first game of darts which meant the next pitcher of beer was on you. You frowned exaggeratedly at the rule that the loser buys the beer, but the truth was that you were feeling amazing. It was nice to not be sitting at home thinking about things that you shouldn’t be. The distraction was welcome. Being out with friends was refreshing.
Waving at the bartender you placed the empty pitcher down and dug into your front pocket for some cash to pay your turn. But a sudden feeling came over you. Like you were being watched. Or noticed at least. You casually looked to your right and then to your left but you saw no one looking at you. And no one looked familiar.
“Another pitcher of beer?” The guy asked, bringing your attention back to him.
“Oh! Yes, please.”
With that strange feeling crawling its way up your spine you turned slowly and looked back at your friends and then to the table next to the window.
You jolted and felt your scalp prick and fingertips sizzle when you made eye contact with him. Harry. He was seated at a high-top table. He appeared to be alone.
He lifted a hand in greeting before bringing it back down to grasp his pint and looked out the window.
You hadn’t even become unfrozen from the shock of seeing him by the time the bartender was back with your pitcher. You settled up with him and looked back to where Harry was seated. He didn’t look back at you. You wondered how long he’d been there. Had he seen you before you walked up to the bar?
“Hey, here’s the pitcher,” you placed it at the center of the table. “I’m gonna sit this game out. Someone I know is here and I’m gonna go say hi.”
After refilling your glass you hesitantly made your way to Harry. The least you could do was say hi. You had wondered about him all this time and had been tempted to text him a time or two but never felt it was right.
“Hi.” You stood next to his table, at a safe distance in case he wasn’t interested in talking.
He pulled his gaze away from whatever he was looking at outside to you, “Hi, Y/n.”
“I was, uh, surprised to see you. I don’t want to bother you. I just–“
“Sit if you want,” he gestured at the other stool. So obviously you did, placing your glass on the table and keeping your eyes on him.
Harry took a sip of his beer and his eyes were as deep and full of warmth as ever.
“How have you been?” You asked. You didn’t really know what to say to him. Which was silly when you thought about it.
“Things are complicated at home. But I’m okay. How are you?”
You shrugged as you took a drink from your glass, “Good. School’s been good. Here for a night without worrying about homework and quizzes. Just needed a night out with some friends.”
He nodded and leaned forward, resting his forearms onto the lacquered wooden tabletop, caging in his beer, “I’ve wanted to text you to see how you were doing but figured you wouldn’t want to hear from me again after what happened.”
You pinched your brows together and shook your head, “That’s not… I wish you would have. I wanted to text you a few times too. Just to check-in. I’ve missed you guys.”
“The boys really miss you. They talk about you still. I mean…” he rotated his arm so his palm was face up in a passive gesture, “it hasn’t been that long since– well, anyway.”
You smiled, “I miss them a lot. Hey, did Warner ever finish learning that song on the piano you were teaching him? He was doing so well learning the parts. I kind of hoped to hear him complete it but then…” you didn’t dare finish that sentence.
Harry grinned. It was the first genuine smile you’d seen from him since you approached him.
“Yeah. He’s pretty much got it down now. I’m really proud of him. He’s gonna be starting guitar and singing lessons soon. He wants to learn to start a band with some friends so I encouraged him to take some lessons.”
“Takes after his father. Musically talented.” You gleamed at Harry.
Harry gulped the lump down his throat. He had really missed you around. But he’d been quite caught up in the aftermath of that night with Kit ever since. That night had changed everything.
“Ahh, I just dabble. Warner has real natural talent.”
You couldn’t be sure but you thought the apples of his cheeks were turning a shade pinker than they had been.
“I’ve heard you play the piano and sing. I’d say you have plenty of natural talent, Harry.”
You meant it too. He had a beautiful voice full of dark timbre and vibrant airy notes. And of course, he was so confident when he sang that if he had told you he made an album and played for audiences in sold-out venues you would have believed it.
“That’s nice to hear. Thank you, Y/n,” you watched a dimple slowly work its way deeper into his cheek as his smile widened. It was nice to see him smile.
You both sat quietly for a bit looking out the window at the dark street as cars drove by, headlamps beaming over the dark asphalt. You wondered if you should press him more about how he really was. You could tell something was off. He wasn’t as happy as he normally was. And when he told you things were complicated at home you figured it had something to do with Kit.

Hazbin Hotel||Alastor X Reader||Creating Trouble Part 1. ||Kidnaping Scenario
Tumblr media
Being a human was a taboo in hell, all the words you never herd you herd, everything you never felt you felt, and it got you a lot of attention from the different residents.
TW- Trigger warning, Mentions of molestation, mild language.
Tumblr media
You couldn't scream or utter a single cry of desperation. These demons were much stronger than you could ever imagine, your worst fear was just about to come true.
"Just spray that perfume or whatever boss gave, before the radio demon comes." One muffled voice ordered.
Then you blacked out before they tied you up in constraints.
Everyone had been going nuts about the new extermination dates which had been scheduled much earlier. Everyone was creating havoc in hell during that time,
You came across a page, when you were with Alastor one of those days there was some tension and beef between Alastor and the top face of Vee.
"Oh, that's nothing, my dear! Just a little resident here who thinks he owns all of hell." Alastor said with a big grin,
"Your voice is really nice you know? Can I have those old records of yours that you were going to broadcast but never did?"
"They are just drafts my dear, it's useless."
"If they are so useless, why did you keep them?"
"Maybe I should show it to you someday my dear, I think you'll quite enjoy them. Now go to sleep while I finish some business with some co-workers of mine." Alastor instructed you had a habit of always neglecting your bedtime and sleeping the whole day.
That particular incident flashed before you were woken up with someone kicking your leg and splashing some water.
"I really thought that was some messed up shit you know. You think Lucifer's brat would?"
"Miss Bleeding Heart would probably be dead by now if it isn't that stupid radio demon watching her back all the time."
"Oh, speaking of the radio demon, did the brat wake up already? She sleeps too much; I'll just give her to one of the cannibals."
You woke up but instantly flinched when someone tall, wearing heart-shaped glasses, and a pink coat, type of soul came in front of you.
"How cute." He said amused, "Hey how much money do you think the brat can make?"
"Oh, shut it, Valentino, I didn't ask my henchmen to kidnap her so you could strike some business deal or some shit like that."
"So, listen here bitch, everyone here is horny assholes and if you want to keep that body of yours in peace, you better suck it up and answer all my questions one by one."
"OH, Kinky!" Valentino squealed.
Your heart raced rapidly, it felt like your diaphragm couldn't relax anymore and your mind had gone blank with fear, you would think with those comedic looks they would be good for a few hearty laughs.
But All your friends and you knew they were rivals.
"So did Miss Bleeding Heart and your little boyfriend ever strike a deal or something?"
"M... Miss bleeding heart?" You softly called out,
"Yeah, Lucifer's brat."
"I.. I don't know." You simply said just to be met with a harsh slap, shocking you. "I'm only a human I don't interfere with these things!"
"So, you're telling me, the radio demon has not gone soft after meeting you?"
"How is my personal status of any relevance?" You questioned,
You lay unconscious down below, struggling to get up you took a look around your surroundings, it was dark but a little dim blue light from the TV alerted you; you were bruised, and it hurt to breathe, how did you even survive?
It looked like the corridors were locked, and you were just left discarded here, with your remaining strength you hurried to the T.V., and it was the same page when Vox and Alastor had that little tension.
Could you reach anyone from here?
Judging by your injuries you must have been out at least for two to three days.
Back in the hotel.
It was Husk who noticed that you were literally not anywhere in the hotel, it further confirmed his suspicions, when Sir Pentious and Niffty asked about you, "Where did the goody two shoes go? She's acting like a bad girl!" Niffty huffed.
Everyone had been in a panic, at last when Alastor came back from one of his trips, he would always usually bring you a little trinket or something,
"My dear, sorry I got so caught up--" He realized you were not there.
Two days had passed when no news of your disappearance was updated, but it was getting busy as hell in the hotel and it angered Alastor when he was told to do something that didn't involve tracking you.
One day when Valentino had enough of your refusal he declared, He would ravage you if you didn't open your mouth.
Vox didn't want the entire image to get threatened by the media.
"So how are you, Alastor? Saw the sudden stop with your regular updates."
"Well, you see I'm in a bit of a dilemma myself, a dear friend of mine has been missing."
"Friend?' Vox laughed, "I thought it was more of a plaything?"
He pushed your tired form to the counter, as you barely managed to stabilize yourself.
It was Valentino who grabbed your collar and made you look at Alastor,
Alastor's eyes darkened, a threatening aura had befallen him, which made you nervous. Even if none of the anger was directed towards you.
When he left the remaining support you fell down again, "Exceedingly weak!" Valentino urged, kicking your frail body.
Charlie burst into tears, and Angel instantly bombarded the two with questions, "Did you piece of shi--"
"Anymore and she'll be of good use to me." Valentino warned.
Before the screen was shut.
"That was good don't you think?"
"Now we have to be wary of that Radio demon."
"I'll fucking kill them." Alastor's eyes widened when he recalled your body being manhandled, and thrown with such disregard,
He grew into his demonic form the more he thought about it the more, sadistic the punishments he concocted in his head grew.
"You worry about not letting the hotel fall into shambles, I'll make the Vee wish I'd stay gone."

gym time
summary: you didn't expect to meet someone like Bucky Barnes when you decided to enter the gym, especially since his looks and words were anything but friendly.
pairing: au!bucky barnes x f!reader
words: +1k
warning: uhm, descriptions of bucky working out? some bad words. also i suck at summaries but what i was trying to say is that bucky is very suggestive here, and there will be suggestive conversations iykwim. this chapter doesn't contain too much of that but still minors do not interact!!!!
note: hi guys! um, i dont know what to say. being honest idk why i wrote this when i dont know if i'll ever be able to continue it, i think it was for the joy or fun in it and maybe trying to test new things? i kind of wrote the draft for a second part but i dont think i want this one to be a series, i wanted to see it like a drabble but i got carried away and now there are too many words. but what i do know now is that i will be pleased to write drabbles in a scenario like this, like in this universe or au. if you guys liked this (which i hope so) would you mind sending me what would you like to see next? only time will tell how good i'm doing but i hope i can at least entertain you a little. anyway, looking forward to your opinions and i really hope you like this one! since it's my first time writing in this kind of genre :'(
Tumblr media
You were at the gym. It had been barely a week since you had started with the goal of creating a routine in your life, because work was consuming you from the inside out. Coming home no longer felt like it used to, when you still had the fever of being independent and being able to get yourself everything you wanted. Adult life really was a mud puddle compared to what we always thought as kids.
So… yeah, you decided to join the gym closest to your apartment to try to change your bad procrastination habits a bit. Maybe now that you were paying for it with your own money you'd feel more like going, just for the sake of not making the money go to waste. But, hey, it was something.
During that week everything had been relatively fine. You hadn't had any problems with anyone, no awkward comments and you had gotten some workout partners to take turns lifting weights or running on the treadmills with at the same time.
It was honestly becoming your favorite place to be after work.
And, well, of course, there was him.
The man you shared end-to-end glances with at the gym. He never came close, always kept his space, unless he had to use some machine near where you were.
He looked like a decent man… and definitely sexy. But you didn't dare get close even though it seemed to be the only thing the two of you wanted to do. The furtive glances weren't even accidental anymore, you both sought each other out through the masses of air as if it was second nature to you. And that upset you too much because it hadn't been too many days, how could you feel so passionate and heated just sharing glances with a stranger? Within what you didn't know there might be something you didn't like, even.
Anyway, you had to avert your gaze each time before it became too much, but it always seemed like it wasn't enough for the people around you not to notice.
“Why don't you just go talk to him?” Veronica spoke in front of you, waiting for Erika to leave the press to start her series.
You were on the treadmill finishing your routine that day and that man was on the other side of the gym, lifting weights like they were nothing. You had watched him for so long without embarrassment that you had almost memorized every line of his massive arms. And your partners that day had definitely noticed.
“I don't think it's appropriate,” was all you could think of.
Erika snorted, lowering her legs as she put down the weights. “She's afraid the sexual tension surrounding them will suffocate her.”
“Erika!” you scowled at her. “Stop talking nonsense.”
“I'm of the same opinion as Veronica, you should just go talk to him. If it turns out his personality isn't as sexy as his body, you're not going to lose anything and you're going to gain a lot.”
Veronica, who had already settled into the press after Erika cleaned the chair, nodded animatedly at her partner's words.
You turned your head to look at him again, just as his strong hands released the weight that bounced to the floor. You saw him shake his arms slightly and move his shoulders in circles, releasing the tension a little at a time. Even in the distance you could make out as if he were right beside you the line of his veins running around his arms and the-
“Look at her, she's drooling already.”
You clicked your tongue and Erika only shared a chuckle with Veronica. You decided to focus solely on getting the treadmill over with quickly so you could get through that day.
-
You came out of the shower with an incredible freshness dancing in your body. In the bathrooms the atmosphere was always a little cooler than in the center of the gym, so the time after the bath was one of your favorites. Veronica and Erika had already left, they had said goodbye before you entered the shower. They always left at seven o'clock at night, but you preferred to stay a little longer and enjoy the showers you paid for because you didn't have much to do at home when you got there.
With the towel over your right shoulder you walked towards the lockers to get your training bag and other belongings. You thought for a moment about leaving a few things from your bag since there would be a zumba class early tomorrow morning and maybe you were getting a little interested in going, when you heard some footsteps close to where you were.
There shouldn't have been too many people left in the gym at that time because closing time was at 8:00 p.m., so someone else must have gotten out of the shower to get their belongings just like you.
You decided to leave a few things in the locker for the next day's class, encouraging you a little more to leave the house a little earlier. Anyway, you knew Veronica would be there so you wouldn't be alone.
You pulled out the bag with the things you were going to take with you and closed the locker. You turned around to leave, when you finally realized who else had come in after you.
It was him. It was that man.
You had never met him in the evenings. He always left before seven o'clock so you never had the chance to meet him alone until that moment, when you stopped dead in front of him, your sneakers grinding against the floor as if you had braked violently at fifty kilometers per hour.
Your locker was all the way in the left corner of that room and it looked like his was a few spaces away from yours in the same direction, closer to the door.
His gaze lifted in your direction at the sound of your shoes and you had to squeeze your bag strap tightly over your shoulder, eating your embarrassment fiercely.
“Hey,” he spoke first and his voice was nothing like you had imagined.
It was incredibly better. His baritone tone, somewhat raspy and light, sounded like he didn't have a care in the world. The way he slightly curved his lips sent an electric sensation throughout your body. He had given you that smile before, but at that proximity it was a whole new experience. It seemed like your body began to vibrate on another frequency.
“How did you like the gym?”
“Uh?”
The man turned back to you, closing his locker almost at the same time and leaning his shoulder against it in the most smooth way you'd ever seen, handling his body with a confidence that almost made you feel intimidated.
“You're new here, aren't you?”
“Ah, yes,” you nodded slightly, again feeling that embarrassment make its way from your throat. “I've really liked the gym, I've felt very comfortable thankfully. And the monthly plans are very good, affordable.”
The man nodded attentively at your words, as you tried to keep your composure under his sharp gaze.
“I'm Bucky,” he suddenly introduced himself, stepping a little closer to where you stood.
“I'm Y/N,” you kept your voice steady as you raised your hand to meet his that had just extended in front of you at a safe distance. “A pleasure.”
“The pleasure's all mine,” Bucky gave your hand a good shake, causing things in your body that you were too embarrassed to admit. You didn't know if your cheeks could get flushed, but at that moment you felt like they looked cartoonish, vibrant red and hot. “And I'm glad to hear you're comfortable. I do my best to make my clients happy.”
“Oh…?”
Even though you felt spellbound under the piercing fierceness of those blue eyes, your ears were still working enough to allow your head to process what you'd heard.
“You're the owner?”
Bucky nodded and you wanted to hide your head in a hole for a moment.
So you'd been eye-fucking the owner of the gym? Hell, now that you thought about it more clearly, it could even be that this man was older than you, much older.
Oh no, the things you had to go through for not being a little more prudent. Good thing that embarrassing moment would only be in your head.
“And now that you know, you can drop any complaints or recommendations directly to me, if you want.”
You let out a short laugh, trying to cut through the awkwardness you felt inside as you realized the situation you were in.
“Sure, yeah, anything I need to tell you I'll do it personally.”
“Also if you want me to change something… give you something or do something, you can tell me.”
“Sure,” you nodded quickly, starting to move around him to get closer to the exit. Bucky wouldn't take his eyes off you. “Now I know I'm counting on you for anything…. From the gym, that is.”
Your awkward laugh died under his intense but amused gaze. Was he enjoying it?
“And you can talk to me, if you want too,” Bucky continued speaking as you completely surrounded him and now found yourself in the position he had been before, “not just watching me from afar.”
You were sure the blood had left your face by this time. Your level of embarrassment had gone over the edge and in that instant you didn't know how to do anything but look at him as if he had caught you in the middle of a crime. You tightened the strap of your bag while holding your breath as you noticed him moving a little closer towards you.
“It's not that it bothers me, don't go thinking that. It's just that… I'd like to get to know you a little more if that's possible.”
“Uhm…” you mumbled with a dry mouth, the reflection of the light in his blue eyes much clearer against the short distance between the two of you. You passed saliva with difficulty, shaking your head to answer him, “Yeah, sure. I'd like to know you too.”
You watched out of the corner of your eye as he nodded at your words, not making a move to get any closer. If that five-foot distance alone already felt like you were suffocating, you didn't want to imagine what it would be like to have him standing to the side or behind you explaining how to do some exercise even though you already knew how to do them all…
Shit.
“See you then, doll.”
He walked around you, walking away from that conversation and that tension like it was nothing, like a bomb hadn't just exploded in front of you. You couldn't even say anything goodbye to him, you didn't know in that instant how to move your mouth.
For a moment you felt so foolish for allowing yourself to show yourself in such a vulnerable way in front of a man… but, at the same time, so much had happened since the last time you had actively flirted with one of them (even though what you had done at that moment had been spitting words). You'd barely had a taste to remember what the adrenaline, excitement and anticipation of having a truly fun night was like… that you didn't plan on letting go.
Bucky had thrown you that rope and you were sure you were going to take it.

We met four years before we entered Crown, I believe.***
The night I drifted into the town of London, I passed by a bridge looking for a place to stay and saw a man looking up at the moon.
I looked at his empty-looking profile and thought he was going to fall straight into the river when he finished his cigarette.
So I just had to ask the question.
Tumblr media
Ellis: Are you happy?
Jude: What's the point if I'm happy or not?
Ellis: I'll make the happiest moment of you're life....last forever.
Jude: Ha. What is that? Are you crazy?
Jude: The happiest I've ever been in my life. Maybe-
Tumblr media
Victor: Working again? I heard about it beforehand, but you are very busy.
It's early morning at Crown Castle. Victor comes into the dining room for breakfast.
He called out to them in passing as they were about to go out after finishing their meal, which was already too early.
Ellis: Sorry, Victor. We'll be back tonight, so we'll talk about the mission then.
Victor: Oh, how industrious! It's totally okay!
Jude: Shut up. You don't have to apologize every time you deal with a freak.
Victor: Jude is so harsh. I love that about you, though. (SO DO WE!)
Tumblr media
Jude: Disgusting.
Ellis: We're off.
The two left the castle with opposite expressions on their face.
Liam: I'm impressed that you don't get down at that rate every day, Victor.
Victor: Well, I'm the one who recruited those two.
Liam: I joined Crown on the condition that I could keep my current job, but those two guys seem busier than I am.
Tumblr media
Liam: I wonder if they have time to do their duties for Crown?
It's been a few days since Ellis and Jude joined the team, and they haven't even had their first mission yet.
William: Well, it doesn't matter when their first mission is.
Harrison: Hey, can we really trust those guys?
William: Why do you say that?
Harrison: It's said he's a trader, but I've heard some fishy rumors. I hear he has a lot of enemies here and there.
Liam: Oh, I've heard that too. It's even talked about mong the fellow actors from time to time.
Liam: Some aristocrat got ripped off and had all his money squeezed out of him.
Harrison: I don't care if he's just a crooked merchant. If he's a spy, I can't just sit idly by.
Victor: You can't trust them?
Harrison: You're a random weirdo, but I know you have a good eye for people. It's just....
Tumblr media
Victor: !Did you hear that, William?! Did you hear what Harry just said about me?! (My guy is an excited chihuahua LOL.)
William: Oh, I heard. There's more to come.
Victor: Yes, you may continue!
Tumblr media
Harrison:.....you're a real pain in the ass.
Harrison: It's just that his background is too shady to be trusted beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Harrison: I don't think we should let those two act individually too much, do you?
Victor: Hmmm, well I don't want to restrict....their freedom too much.
William: Why don't you just make sure? Whether you can trust them or not?
Victor: Make sure....I like that!
Liam: Haha, looks like something's about to start, doesn't it?
Harrison: I have a bad feeling about this.....
Victor: So, all of Crown is together! We are going to observe Jude and Ellis' way of life!
Liam: Oh! *Claps*
Alfons: Is this another one of Victor's dimwitted projects? It's the best.
Victor: I want everyone to observe the two of them and report back to me.
Victor: The theme is: Are those two worthy of Crown?
Harrison: Damn...I shouldn't have said anything. I'm too busy for this.
Elbert: What are you busy with...?
Alfons: As I recall, you were in the middle of a reviewing job with no time to meet the deadline, and the first draft had not been submitted by the writer.
Alfons: It's as he said, “I'm going to have to stay up all night just before the deadline.”
Liam: Well, wouldn't it be nice if Harry acted as the command center?
Liam: The investigation will be shared among the members other than Harry!
Alfons: A stealth mission, sounds like fun.
Elbert: I don't mind.
Tumblr media
Roger: Well, that's good, isn't it?
Harrison: By the way, what's your reason for not doing it?
William: I don't think we'll get that far.
Harrison: ...right?
Victor: Then let the investigation begin!
Tumblr media
***Note: I just wanted to affirm that Ellis mentions it had been four years since he met Jude prior to joining Crown. This is not a mistranslation.

˚ ༘ listen to december - ariana grande (seriously, listen to it.)
˚ ༘ note the arianator inside me is coming out😭 this been sitting in my drafts since the beginning of december🙏
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you had just released your new solo song today. it was a christmas themed loved song. hyunjin was on your mind the whole time you were making it, so you guess it was a little early christmas gift for him.
you opened the door to your guys' shared apartment and kicked off your shoes. you ran towards hyunjins little art studio and barged in.
"babe babe! did you hear the new song i released?!?" you hoped he did already.
he chuckled softly and put down his art palette, wiping his hands and taking off his little apron, he invited you to sit down on his lap.
"no i have not baby, wanna show it to me?" his soft eyes were staring right into yours, making you shy. you nuzzled your face into his neck and muttered something incoherent to him.
"hm? what was that honey?" he tried to lift your face out of the crook of his neck but it was no use.
"j-just search it up and play it.." you looked up a little bit into his eyes.
"but thats no fun," he pouted. "how about you sing it for me? it can be an early christmas gift." he smirked. almost as if he knew it was for him.
"fine, but no laughing!" you took his phone and went to youtube to search up the song.
he giggled. "okay baby, i won't laugh, i promise." he moved you a little bit backwards on his lap so he could get the full view of you.
you pulled up the music on his phone and started singing, trying to avoid eye contact with him.
when december comes, i bet you want to wrap me all up and take me home with you see what i look like under them lights we'll keep it quiet, whatever we do
you winked at him after that verse. his mouth opened a little bit but he still smiled nonetheless. your voice sounded like honey to him. he liked where this song was going so far.
i'm just tryna keep my baby warm through the wintertime i'm just tryna give you something to remember through the summertime and whatever is on your list, i'll do it boy, whatever it is, you know i'll do it
his smile grew wider realizing that the song was about him, he grabbed your chin with two fingers and tilted your head up to meet him eyes. he really wanted to kiss you right now, but that can wait until after you're done.
merry christmas, here i am, boy gonna love you, gonna give you all i can, boy merry christmas, here i am, boy i'm the present and you know it, here i am, boy merry christmas, here i am, boy gonna love you, gonna give you all i can, boy merry christmas, here i am, boy i'm the present and you know it, boy
he smiled so softly but wide at you and his eyes did that thing when he smiled so big. everything about this moment was so perfect to him. your voice, the song, the lyrics, everything. he really couldn't believe you made a whole song dedicated to him
so he did the only normal thing anyone would do in a situation like this. he paused the music, grabbed your chin, and kissed you.
you felt fireworks going off in your stomach. this definitely wasn't your guys' first kiss, but it sure felt like it. you guys stayed like that for about five seconds until you both pulled away for some oxygen.
"y/n i seriously cant believe you, that was the cutest and hottest thing ever." he pulled you closer and let his head rest on your chest.
you started cascading your fingers through his soft hair, taking out any tangles. "well thank you very much," you giggle a little bit. "but i wasnt even finished singing." you pouted.
"oh honey i'm sorry. it's just that i thought it was so cute that i had to kiss you." he looked up at you and smiled. he then sat up properly and grabbed your cheeks. "i love you so much darling, thank you for writing that about me." he connected his forehead to yours and gave you a tiny peck on your lips.
"i love you more hyune, you don't have to thank me by the way. i would do it for you in a heart beat." you gave him a little peck on the lips back.
"so, im expecting you to be wrapped up in a bunch of bows on christmas day okay? since you're my present and all." he teased.
"in your dreams lover boy" you winked at him and got off his lap, making your way to the bathroom to go shower. it was hot in his studio, not to mention and the tension that was going on. he pouted at you and asked where you were going.
"i'm going to shower!" you called out from the main area.
hyunjin perked up at that statement. he scrambled off his stool and almost tripped to go catch up with you.
"w-wait for me!" he ran towards the bathroom but he was too late, you had already shut the door.
"get your head out of the gutter hyunjin" you called out from the bathroom and laughed at him.

-Happy Birthday M -
Looking through the terminal, over the vast amount of people busily walking about, you try to spot M's parents.
You've only seen them twice before, so surely you remember what they look like. At least, you hope so. Scanning for several more minutes you hear two voices yell your name simultaneously.
Turning toward your left you see both of M's moms, each smiling as they speed up to bring you in for a hug. Sybil's shoulder-length blonde hair brushes against your cheeks. You forgot how tall she was when you saw her over the holidays. M's birthmother Marianne, rubs your back gently and hugs you from the side. Her dark hair was pulled into a loose bun, her skin a similar shade to M's, and the same honey-toned eyes. When she smiles you can't help but notice the deep wrinkles that form beside them, holding years of laughter and worry for her only child within them.
"Sorry, I'm a bit late. I was making sure to have your rooms ready for tomorrow." You reach for their bags, with Sybil shaking her head and heading on out. Marianne smiles and hands you her carry-on.
The drive to the hotel is quick, each going over how the flight was. Catching up on months of not seeing one another.
"They've been up all night, finishing a final draft for the editor. I don't even think they knew I left."
You hear Sybil laugh as soon as Marianne starts to sigh heavily. "You would think they would at least take some time off before their birthday." Sybil pats Marianne on the back, assuring her that M will be fine.
You smile at yourself, knowing that M has no idea you've been out and about. Picking up their parents to surprise them over their birthday lunch. They also have no idea that sitting at the very bottom of their bed, under the blanket they keep on a bench sits the one collectible they have been pining for since you two had become friends, and eventually more than that.
Walking back into your shared apartment you see M rubbing their eyes, swearing loudly, that is until they hear you walk over. M has tried to keep that swearing to a minimum. Yet sometimes that sailor's tongue gets the better of them, and honestly you as well.
"Where did you go?" M rubs their glasses along their oversized sweater. One with a large anime figure on the back, the first gift you gave them once you two had finally made things official. A sweater so worn the sleeves were starting to fray ever so slightly. The hem stretched from M's worrying grasp.
"Oh, just out. Looking at some of the holiday lights everyone has up. Just getting some ideas ya know?" You smile at them, in such a way they don't feel the need to question further. M knows you enjoy looking at the streets all lined up, especially after they've been freshly covered in snow.
"This is it. This is the last draft and then…"
You hear the gulp from where you're standing, M is always so nervous before finishing something. Their books, an interview, a list of things to remember to do. Yet this time, you were there to talk them down from their nerves.
"It's going to be amazing. You're amazing, so how could it not be? Don't worry. I'll be with you through it all." You sit on your knees in front of them, holding their hands. Hands that have caressed you in more ways than one, hands that have held you when you thought it impossible to get over your heartache. When you thought it impossible to move on. To someone who truly cares about you.
You notice the watery look in their eyes. M has always had a soft spot for you. Ever since the day you met. You reach to catch the tear but are stopped by M kissing along your jaw. A soft kiss, one of reassurance, and one of hunger. A hunger you knew well, a hunger that would just have to wait until M's parents went back home.
"Alright, time for bed. The story can wait, you have an early morning. It's going to be your birthday after all." Pulling M's hand and walking them to the bedroom they didn't bother to fight knowing very well that you would win this fight.
The following morning, you took M to a ramen shop. Their favorite stop when they were sad. Also, their favorite shop once they saw you eating there on break from work. In between their second order of Ramen, you notice their mothers walking toward the table.
It only took five minutes to get M unchoked from the noodle that lodged itself in their windpipe when Sybil peeked around their shoulder. Only fifteen minutes for M to stop crying shocked their mothers would make it knowing how busy they are. Even more so when they found out you had planned it all without them even noticing.
After hours of hanging out with Sybil and Marianne, and M promising profusely that he will work less in the future you two made your way back home.
M flops down on the armchair, happily eating the leftover cake that their mother sent home.
"Hey hun, do you want any befor.."
"No, go ahead and eat it! It's your birthday anyways!"
You walk back into the room, smiling at M as they lick the fork clean. The leftover chocolate ganache now a memory. "M?"
They turn to you brow quirked. Eyes widen as they notice the outfit you're wearing. "What the fuck….what are you…who….when did…"
You smile twirling in your costume. Not daring to let M miss a single piece of the cosplay you're wearing. "Do you like it?" You tilt your head slightly, noticing the blush peppering their cheeks. They nod furiously, blinking owlishly at you.
"Is…that…is…hmm. Did you get that for me?" They stand walking over to you, softly laying a hand on your side, letting the fabric bunch ever so slightly between their fingers.
You nod your response, looking up into those warm honey eyes. "That's not all." You slowly pull the gift out from behind your back. A one of a kind collector edition figure. One that M had talked themselves out of buying six different times that you know of.
"Wait! NO…no no no no.. You didn't, you couldn't have!" M doesn't know what to grab, you or the gift. Their eyes glanced back and forth.
You can't stop the giggle that comes out of your mouth, they look like a kid in a candy store. Though a happy one. "Happy birthday, M. I hope it's everything you wanted."
You can't help but gasp, as M begins to cry, shaking their head back and forth. "Oh no, did you no.." Your words are stopped, by the gentle kiss along your lips. Somewhat salty kiss at that.
"You're more than I could ever hope for. It's not the gift, not the outfit which I love by the way. It's you. Just you."
Happy birthday M.

First Fight - Quinn Hughes x ofc
Tumblr media

Warnings: Angst, history of a bad relationship
Summary: Quinn and Sarah have their first fight - we learn more about Quinn’s previous relationship

First Fight
A Quinn & Sarah Snapshot
Hey, I met someone. I want you to meet her when you’re in town.
Sending this text was like setting off a bomb in his life. Not because Quinn thought it would destroy things, but it would open up this fated little world to outside forces, something he’d protected against so far.
He wanted Brady and Emma’s opinion first before he started introducing the idea of Sarah into the rest of his relationships. They had been the only ones brave enough to tell him they didn’t like June. Everyone else in his life told him they felt the same only after he’d called it off completely. His own family hadn’t even told him.
Everything with Sarah felt different than it had with June. He didn’t expect the same outcome, but he wanted to be sure. June taught him he couldn’t always trust his own judgment.
Things with June were always complicated. In so many ways, their relationship had been easy. She entertained herself for the most part, looked good on his arm, and the sex wasn’t bad, but it never went beyond that. Quinn used to think their relationship could lead to marriage, but she never gave them that chance.
Looking back, he wasn’t sure if she ever actually liked him. She liked the lifestyle he offered, and liked being seen with him at events and after games. She would often flirt with other people, even after they decided to be exclusive and was happy to tell him how there were taller, more handsome, better dressed men she could get with when they fought. A few days later, she would always come back apologizing, telling him she loved him and that she wanted to be with him.
At one point, Brady had told him he didn’t want to hear about their relationship drama anymore. “You don’t even like her, Q,” he’d said, exasperated, “like, not just her body, but her.”
Eventually, Quinn had been forced to admit he was right.
They’d been on and off for more than a year, and it never went anywhere other than around in circles. They had the same fights about how long he was gone, how she wanted him to dress better, and that she was flirting with other guys all the time. It was exhausting, and not in a way that made it worthwhile.
You met someone? Brady responded. Who? When?
Her name is Sarah. We met two months ago. We've been dating since then.
It wasn't totally unlike Quinn to keep something so private, but the fact that it had been two months and he'd kept it all to himself made Brady wonder.
Do you think Emma could come out?
If he was asking for Emma's opinion, this was serious. Quinn trusted her judgment.
I'll ask her.
As soon as Emma’s flight was confirmed, Quinn brought it up while Sarah was at his house.
When he'd asked her to come over earlier in the day, she had initially turned him down, explaining that she had a deadline to meet.
“I just want to see you,” he said. “You could do your homework here.”
“I don't know if that would work…”
She wanted to see him, too, especially knowing he was headed out of town again too soon for her liking, but finals and year end deadlines were coming up swiftly. She didn’t have the time, especially now that she was spending so much time with Quinn, to put things off.
“Could we just give it a try? I'll leave you alone until you're finished, I swear. And then we can spend some time together.”
She'd agreed, and was pleasantly surprised to find that he kept every word of his promise.
By the time her first draft of the research publication she was writing was done, Sarah had been at Quinn's table for more than two hours. True to his word, he left her alone other than to bring her a plate of cut vegetables and kiss her forehead around the one hour mark.
Now, she wandered through the penthouse, looking for him.
“Quinn?” she finally asked when she didn’t find him downstairs.
“I'm up here.”
She climbed the stairs and found him in the gaming room. It was where he had all of his video game equipment set up, along with squishy arm chairs, couches and bean bags. He had enough controllers, he could probably host the entire team.
Glancing away from the screen, he asked, “you're done already?”
She shrugged, “I write fast.”
She did. He was impressed. “I’m almost done with this level, and I'll be done.”
“No rush.”
She wandered down the hall to one of the guest bathrooms. When she got back, he'd tossed his headset and controller away from him and was standing.
The hug he wrapped her in was warm and comforting. She snuck her hands under his shirt just so she could feel his warm skin.
They kissed for a long time, standing in that gaming room.
As they walked down the stairs hand in hand, he broached the subject, “my best friend, Brady is going to be in town on a road trip from Ottawa Thursday. I hoped we could all go to dinner together.”
“Oh.”
“What?”
“I have a cohort review on Thursday night.”
“So? Can't you just move it?”
“No, I can't. It took us a week just to find a time that worked for everyone, and I already told them I would be there.”
Quinn pulled his bottom lip into his mouth, thinking. “Just - he's only in town Thursday and Friday, and they leave Friday night. His wife Emma is coming in.”
“I'm sorry, Quinn, I wish you had given me more advanced notice.”
“Can’t you meet with your cohort after class or something?” he asked, “you all live here.”
Sarah bristled, feeling more and more disrespected as this conversation went on. “Quinn,” her tone was a bit sharper than she intended and she tried to bite it back, “it’s not my fault you didn’t tell me about this until two days beforehand. I can’t just move my schedule around because you forgot.”
“I didn’t forget,” he said indignantly.
“Then why didn’t you tell me before?”
“We just made the plan!”
“You can’t just make plans without consulting me! I have a life and responsibilities outside of you.”
He blew a breath through his nose, “I know that.”
“Do you? Because it seems like you're expecting me to just drop everything for your schedule.”
He groaned. “That’s not what I mean. Brady and Emma will only be in town for a day and a half. They live on the other side of the country, and I want them to meet you, and you to meet them, and you’re saying you can’t because of some school thing with people who live here and could reschedule.”
Sarah pursed her lips. “So it’s up to me to reschedule.”
“They’re going back home on Friday after the game!”
“Could we not have lunch on Friday or get together before the game?”
Quinn paused. It wasn’t ideal, but he supposed it could work. “I mean, I guess so.”
She nodded. “So when I said I have plans, your first call is to ask me to cancel them, rather than seeing if there’s something that will work for everyone.”
“Jesus, Sarah. I just want you to meet my friends, and dinner would give us more time.”
“I get that, I really do, but this review is really important, and I’d just…” traitorous tears rose to her eyes. They always did when she was frustrated. “I’d just like you to respect that I have important stuff going on that I can’t cancel.”
Shit. Now she was crying. Over something he did. Fuck.
They were real tears, too - frustrated ones she was trying to sniffle back - not like the over dramatic tears June would dredge up in a fight.
“I know you’re used to being single, but you need to respect my time, too. You’re not the only one working around a demanding schedule.”
The truth of it socked him in the stomach. June worked as an influencer. Other than modeling gigs, which weren't that often, she could change her schedule at the drop of a hat, and often did. She liked the spontaneity of it. He had rarely planned ahead with her.
His shoulders sagged, “I’m sorry.”
“Thank you. It’s just, I already move so much stuff around because of your hockey schedule.”
That made him stop short. “You do?”
“Yes! I have to move my work and my research so we can spend time together while you’re in town. Last week, I canceled this same review group so I could come over here before you went off to the midwest, and I can’t cancel it again.”
“I didn't know that. I can't know stuff you don't tell me, Sarah.”
“It’s not really even about the review, it’s about -” he scoffed and she stopped talking, pursing her lips together.
Quinn crossed his arms over his chest. How could he have known she changed this meeting before? How could she possibly be mad at him for something he didn’t know?
They stood that way, at the bottom of his fancy, metal and glass stairs, each staring at the other for a long while. The longer they were there, the longer Quinn stayed silent, the more frustrated Sarah became. Didn’t he understand she was upset about the lack of respect in this conversation?
“Maybe I should go,” she said. Not because she didn’t want to talk things over, or figure them out, but because she knew herself well enough to know that with his silence and her frustration dipping into anger, she would say something she didn’t really mean if she didn't step away.
Great. This is just great, Quinn thought. If she wanted to leave, fine. He wouldn’t stop her.
It was only after she’d left with a sad, emotionless smile, and he’d torn the cap off of a beer from the fridge that the reality of what happened came crashing in on him.
He let her walk away. Over a dinner - over wanting to be right about a dinner. He was such a fucking idiot.
In the midst of his realization, his mind grasped hold of something his Grandpa had told him when he had asked for relationship advice the summer before. “Quinn,” he’d said, “I like to ask myself, is this my pride fighting? And is it worth whatever the outcome will be?”
With June, that line was always a little blurred. Right now, though, he could see he’d clearly crossed it. And being right wasn’t worth the outcome this had caused. She’d been gone for 15 minutes, and was likely already on a train home. If he left now, he might make it there when she did.
He grabbed his keys and ran out of the house.
Once he’d followed another resident into the building and ran up to her apartment, he knocked, frantically.
Eunice opened the door.
“Hey, Quinn…” she said, slowly.
“Is Sarah not here yet?” he asked.
“No. I thought she was going to be at your place tonight.”
“She was. I mean, she was there, but -” he didn’t want to get into this with Eunice.
“Did you fight?” she asked, cocking her head to one side, and looking at him like he’d just proved her wrong in all the ways she’d been hoping he wouldn’t.
“We argued, and I came to apologize. Do you mind if I wait for her?”
“I mean, sure,” she said, opening the door further, “but you could just call her, you know?”
In his haste, he hadn’t even considered it. Would she even answer if he did? Reaching into his pocket he found he’d left his phone at home.
Sarah walked from the train station, feeling lead-footed. This was a horrible day. Failed experiments all day at work, and the time actually spent with Quinn was spent arguing. Maybe she had been too harsh on him. She hadn’t told him about moving her plans last week, and that was on her. She’d jumped on the defensive too quickly.
She paused before going into the lobby of her building, digging her phone out of her bag. She didn't want to make this call with Eunice in the house. It rang seven times before the generic voicemail picked up.
“Damnit,” she swore as she pulled her keys from her jacket pocket to buzz into the lobby.
Eunice greeted her nearly as soon as she walked in. “Hey, Quinn is here,” she said, quietly, catching the door before it could shut. “He said you argued. He’s waiting in your room, but if you don’t want to see him, go in my room and I’ll get rid of him.”
Tears pooled in her eyes as much for Eunice’s care and concern as for Quinn showing up. “He’s here?”
She nodded.
Pushing past Eunice, Sarah ran down the hall to her bedroom.
He jumped to his feet as soon as the door opened.
“Quinn, I’m sorry,” she said at the same time he was saying, “I’m such an idiot.”
She let out a watery little laugh, and he went to her, wrapping her in his arms, backpack and all.
“I’m sorry,” he said into her hair. “I never want you to feel like your time isn’t important.”
She pulled out of his embrace to look into his eyes. He looked a little like a lost puppy. Her heart twisted. “I’m sorry I got so defensive.”
Quinn shook his head, “You had every right to be defensive. I shouldn't have expected you to just change your plans like that. That wasn’t fair.”
She gave a hearty sniff and tucked her face into his shoulder.
They stood there for a while, swaying gently.
“Does this mean I'm forgiven?” Quinn asked after a few moments of silence.
As she pulled back to look into his face, she said, “yes.”
He pulled her against him. “I'm sorry,” he said again. “I’ll call Brady tomorrow and figure something out that works for all of us.”
Her grip tightened around his waist. “Thank you.”
They stood in that little bubble for a long while. Soaking in each other and letting the bad day roll off.
Feeling settled, he couldn't hold back his question any longer, “do you golf?”
She stepped out of his embrace and finally took off her backpack, “what?”
“You have clubs,” he gestured to her door, where a purple bag of golf clubs was tucked behind it. He hadn't noticed it until today, when he'd been alone in her room, distracting himself by looking around at everything Sarah held in high enough esteem to keep in her space.
“Oh, yeah. My dad taught me. We used to golf every Sunday as a family. I was on my high-school golf team and walked on in undergrad. I got a scholarship my senior year.”
“Really?” he said, beaming like a little kid.
“Yeah. I don't have much time to go these days, but I'm pretty decent.”
Quinn knew enough about her to know that if she said she was decent, she was much better than she was letting on. She often downplayed her talents and accomplishments.
“Why?”
“I love golf,” he confessed. “Want to go together when I get back next week? I could get us an evening tee time.”
“I like the sound of that,” she said, smiling as she leaned up to kiss him.
They broke apart at a wrenching sound from the hallway.
“You guys are so disgustingly cute,” Eunice said. She was smiling as she said it, though, obviously happy things had worked out. “I'm making Mac and cheese if you want to stay,” she said with a nod at Quinn.
He glanced at Sarah.
“Stay,” she urged. “I make a mean turkey sandwich, and believe me, you don't want to miss out on Eunice’s mac and cheese.”
Even though he had practice in the morning, and knew all the carbs and dairy would make him sluggish, he agreed.
“Where did you even park?”
“On Nelson, across from the courts.”
“There’s no parking there, you’ll get towed.”
“I just found a free curb and ran up,” he confessed.
Shoving his shoulder playfully, she said, “let’s go move your car.”
They did, and the rest of what she said was true - Sarah did make a mean turkey sandwich, and Eunice’s mac and cheese wasn’t something to be missed. He had fun getting to know her roommates, and catching Sarah’s looks when Eunice said something unhinged. It felt like they were starting to create their own private language, and he was ecstatic over it.
It was also true that the carbs and dairy from the night before did make Quinn sluggish at practice in the morning.
“What’s up with you today?”
He shrugged off the question, “just an off morning. I’ll be fine by tonight.”
By the time the game had ended - vs the Jets, lost, in a three round shoot out - and he’d finished his media duties, Sarah had called him twice.
He called her back on the way home.
“Hey, what’s up?” he asked when she answered.
“Bryan’s sister went into labor, so he has to go home,” she said.
Quinn had no idea who Bryan was. “Okay?”
“So we had our cohort review tonight before he left for Calgary. I had to miss your game, sorry.”
If it was between her watching a game and getting dinner with his friends, he'd rather she missed the game.
“So you can do dinner tomorrow?” he asked, relieved, and also angry with himself. If he’d just let it lie, it would have worked out for the best anyway.
“Yep. Do you think Brady is still free?”
“I’m sure, but I’ll call him and ask.”

Yo! I really enjoy your writting style and was wondering if you do songfics? I didn't see anything in the pinned post but if you don't you can just delete this
If you do, could I request a azul ashengrotto x reader (gn if possible) based on Study Me by Zutomayo? (https://youtu.be/Atvsg_zogxo), i just think that it would be fun for the reader to try and get their feelings across whilst it either flies over azuls head or he just thinks that the reader is pulling a prank on him
Terribly sorry if this request is too guided, i got really exited
Study Me
A/N: hope this is what you wanted, lol, I get especially nervous about song fics, cause it's such a "I know what I want" kind of thing

Azul stared at you, expressionless. Then his lips split in a grin. A grin that sent shivers down your spine.
In these moments when I’m brimming with highly defined painful emotions Saying ‘there’s nothing I can do’ is embarrassing
"Or maybe it was one of his little friends. Either way, I'll find them whether you tell me or not. So this is your last chance."
"Rielle put you up to this, didn't he?"
"Who-" you started, but were cut off by his mirthless laugh.
"I'm so confused, do you not accept my feelings?"
He stared at you, the fury rising in his aura. You were more frightened than worried about your confession.
"I'll say this once. Stop wasting my time."
Ah~ It’s fine, put on your airs as you (you loner) are You punk punk, status quo maintaining immortal
You rushed out, bumping into Jade with a half hearted apology, before running down the hall.
"Don't you think you were too hard on them? Y/N seemed genuine?" Jade asked Azul, seeming genuinely distressed that things had not gone as expected.
"No one could ever love me," Azul smirked. "Find out who put them up to this. Make them pay."
You lay in your bed, staring at the ceiling. It all still hadn't sunk in yet. That he'd laughed in your face. That he'd yelled at you. That he'd outright rejected the deep feelings of love that had, you had thought, been mutually building.
This funky feeling will continue to change today’s song so that’s why I took the plunge
Guess you were wrong.
Your phone buzzed, Jade's name coming up. You let it ring, staring at the ceiling. When it finished that round of buzzing, it started buzzing again, this time Floyd's name popping up on the screen.
You sighed, shutting down your phone, and shutting your eyes, trying to drown out the crushing approach of realization.
Your eyes filled with tears, and you took a heaving breath.
But now I just wanna cry, make a plan for this reference book of emotions I’ve gathered
All this time, you'd truly thought…you'd truly believed …
You thought back to all the lingering glances you'd shared, all the moments you two stood closer than you needed to, the times when Azul initiated a touch or a conversation, and the two of you had hesitated to end it.
Had you truly misread the situation so hard? Was he using you?
Study me, figure me out
Azul was angrily drafting contracts. He'd get them. He'd get whoever had taken your fragile peace, and crushed it. How could he have been so blind? How could he have let you slip through?
"Azul," Floyd whined, waiting on the phone for what had to be the tenth call he had made to you. "Shrimpy really likes you? Why can't you see that?"
The pen in Azul's hand snapped.
"So you put them up to this? I thought you were my friend!" He snarled.
"Shrimpy-"
"You see me as some pathetic, clumsy octopus, just like everyone else!"
"Azul-"
"Get out!"
With a flick of his pen, Floyd floated out of the vip room, landing on his ass as the door slammed shut.
He angrily huffed, and moved to bang on the door, but froze in his step as he heard a shuddering sob from within.
"He's just scared. Please. Talk to him."
What should I do today? I can’t look back without being optimistic, it’d be dangerous
Jade and Floyd had broken into Ramshackle. They were sitting at the foot of your bed, reiterating the tale you'd heard time and again.
You were well aware of Azul's past. But you thought…
I want to stay healthy, at least
You had hoped…
Maybe you could have been enough.
In the end though I’ve managed to raise these emotions
And I’m staying humble about it all, I don’t wanna be poisoned by them
"Why should I try again?" You asked, bitterly. "So he can laugh in my face, again? So he can break my heart again?"
"Honestly? So I can go back into the dorm," Floyd pouted, quickly followed by Jade elbowing him in the side.
You turned on your stomach, burying your face in your pillow.
"Y/N. He loves you. If you try again-"
You groaned, turned back over, and kicked at Jade.
"Shrimpy, until you try again, I'm moving in," Floyd growled.
You kicked at him again, but this only made him laugh.
"You have plenty of empty rooms, roomie! It'll be fun! Confess to Azul~"
He skipped out of the room, seemingly to choose his room. Now it was Jade's turn to sigh.
Azul tried to focus on running the restaurant. Now that they were down a Floyd. But everyone around him was on edge. He couldn't say why for sure-
I put my memories of yesteryear through the wash but as usual In this cold season they’re still not dry In this season of false bravery they’re still not dry.
"Alanno! If you drop one more glass you're fired!"
Yeah. It was a big mystery. Consequently, he had to work twice as hard. So he had time to think.
To think about you.
You're laugh.
Your smile.
The way you always sought him out.
The way you snuggled against him when he helped you with homework.
Had he.…had he been wrong?
No. That's what you wanted, wasn't it? He thought as he snapped at Miles, who was going to comfort his stressed boyfriend.
Wasn't it?
Study me, figure me out
Wasn't it?!?!?!
He dropped his own tray of glasses. Making Miles and Alanno have to fight very hard not to snicker at him.
I hope that the weakness that keeps you thinking of me Is still hurting you, even just a little
He stared at the shards of glass on the floor, before slowly kneeling down.
You would have been comforting him right now. You would have told him to go to his room, while you cleaned his mess. You would have brought him a mug of tea, then sat next to him and caressed his hair.
And I hope that you even start to find them inevitable And be just as soaked in these emotions as me
You might as well have been dating already, with the way you both interacted on a daily basis.
I hope that the strength that keeps you thinking of me Is still troubling you, even just a little
You were probably just playing the long game.
But as he stared at the floor, he realized even if you were pretending…
He would be willing to play along forever.
Study me, figure me out
"Ask him. Ask him. Ask him. Ask him."
Floyd was the worst roommate ever.
But if his tactic was to get you to ask out Azul, again…it was working.
He wasn't just annoying you. He was telling stories. Stories of childhood Azul. Stories of present Azul. Stories of Azul before you. Stories of Azul with you.
Sevens, you love that man…
"Ask him. Ask him. Ask hi-" he cut himself off with your half hearted glare. He grinned, mildly sinisterly, before singing out, "Yes!"
You took a heavy breath, and knocked on the door of the vip room.
I’m choosing the uncertain Cause today’s song will keep changing
"Enter."
You square your shoulders, and push the door open.
He looked up, and his face was immediately beet red, eyes flickering back down to his desk.
"Prefect." He greeted.
"Azul." You said, cooly taking a seat. "I want to make a deal."
His eyes widened, quickly flickering back up to meet yours.
"Oh?"
"There's something I want."
He stiffened, but summoned a golden contract anyway, beginning to write.
"And what, pray tell, would that be?"
"Not what, but who."
The pen snapped. He slowly pulled out a second one.
"Mhmm."
"The problem is, I confessed to him before, and he doesn't love me back. So you'll have to use a love potion."
He froze, and gently set the pen down. He looked up at you, eyes tearing up.
"You don't need one. He already returns your feelings. He's just a stupid idiot sometimes."
You smiled, softly.
"I can work with that."
Isn’t that amazing for both of us?
That’s all i can ask now

Seeing as you have finished writing the script for your AU thingy, I wanna know, how?
Like, were you motivated the whole time? Or was it a on and off writing type thing?
i'm trying to write but I don't know if I have the motivation...
How did you keep the motivation if so?
Oh man. I have so much to say about writing and creativity that I could make an entire series of posts talking about the subject, but I'll try to keep things orderly and brief.
Disclaimer: I should let you know that I have never finished a writing project before recently finishing my TPiaG AU. Keep that in mind when reading the advice I offer— the tips I give have only been put into work in my own life over the course of the last couple of months, but they’ve proven very effective in my experience!
Tumblr media
Sofie Creativity Tips Episode 1, go!!!
Was I motivated the whole time I was writing TPiaG / How did I stay motivated?
Absolutely not. If I hadn’t provided myself a detailed chapter-by-chapter outline for TPiaG before starting the writing process, I would have given up thanks to a mix of writer’s block and absent motivation. Motivation is a fickle muse and prone to ditching me for months on end, so I’ve adapted by trying not to rely on it, but also by creating new motivation rather than clinging to past motivation. I create motivation for myself in two ways: removing friction when writing and being my own fandom.
Removing friction is pretty simple— I create very detailed chapter outlines that remove any fear of writer’s block, set up my devices in a way to make it easy to access my manuscripts and notes, download premade writing playlists that have Pomodoro session break timers built into them, and more. Anything that makes the writing process easier to get into and enjoy doing, I make sure to incorporate into my life.
Being my own fandom is less intuitive, but a thousand times more rewarding in terms of motivation. I make memes of my characters. I write self-indulgent snippets on the side. I make AUs of my own work. I make playlists and save audio clips that suit the characters. I draw comics exploring concepts that might not get into the manuscript itself but that I want to make content for regardless. Basically, I dive in deep into the story, characters, and world, and try to do so with the enthusiasm that I give other people’s projects.
(That part is extra fun, because if I have a headcanon, it automatically becomes canon to whatever AU or original project I’m working on. I have all the power in the world when working like this, and it’s very fun.)
What changed and made it so I finished my first ever written project?
This isn’t exactly what was asked, but because I have eschewed motivation as the main driving force in my writing process, I figured I’d give another insight into how TPiaG went against the pattern of half-started and swiftly abandoned projects that came before it and actually got finished. Late into October, I adopted a new method of producing first drafts. Previously, I would spend weeks polishing the same chapter and would only move on to the next chapter once the current one was perfect. My new method is the complete opposite. I’ve started calling it Writing BFF:
Write bad
Write fast
Write fun
First up, write bad. The point of this is not to waste your time writing prettily during your first draft. Don’t bother agonizing over how to reword that one sentence to be more elegant when it does the job well enough to get its point across. Don’t go off on a 30-minute research tangent in the middle of a writing session because you want to fact-check that one detail and make sure it’s perfectly accurate when you could just put a placeholder detail in brackets and CTRL+F search and plug in something accurate later on. Don’t write pretty, write bad. And be okay with it. You can’t edit an empty page, so fill the page with as much garbage as possible so that you can turn it into gold later on.
Next, write fast. This is only effective when paired with writing bad. Don’t pause, don’t hesitate, don’t deliberate. Write as much as you can and do it as fast as you can. This idea is best illustrated by Chris Fox’s book 5,000 Words Per Hour, where he talks about increasing your WPM (words per minute) and how it makes everything about your writing better. The person who creates a beautiful first draft once every three years is doing okay, but the person who cranks out a complete manuscript every three months learns leagues more about writing than the first person does by the end of three years. The second person has practiced outlining, drafting, editing, publishing, and more with every manuscript completed. The faster you write, the better you get, because practice makes perfect and quantity begets quality.
Finally, write fun. I write what I enjoy, and if I’m not enjoying it, I pivot the project so that I enjoy it again. I like writing deeply personal stories, so pretty much everything I write is heavily based on my life and experiences— TPiaG included. Grovyle’s portrayal is deeply influenced by my experience being an elder sibling who has been a bad example of self-talk, and cleaned up my act because my younger sister started echoing how I spoke to myself. Dusknoir’s portrayal is informed by my experiences with being the therapist / mom friend in different social circles as well as attending actual formal therapy. Twig is the character that my experiences have the greatest influence on in her portrayal, and I joke about her being a self-insert, but ultimately all of the characters are self-inserts to some extent. I also enjoy low-stakes and slow slice-of-life stories that are driven by character growth. If I ever stop having fun with a project, I inject more of myself and my preferences into my work to get it back into my favor.
TL;DR / Writing advice lightning round
Write as badly as possible as quickly as possible, and have fun as you do it. Momentum yields motivation and stagnancy yields doubt. Editing comes only after the first draft is complete. Be your own fandom and your project’s biggest fan. Give yourself direction and ward against writer’s block by making detailed chapter-by-chapter outlines. Make the writing process as easy and enjoyable as possible. Motivation is a lie and if you chase after it instead of making your own, you’ll be writing on hard mode for the rest of your life. Reject perfectionism, embrace flawesomeness.
If I didn’t answer your question right, let me know! I’ll do my best to correct it.

Bully Carl Gallagher x Bullied Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary
You've known Carl for a very long time, and for a very long time, he has been picking on you. It started off small but gradually escalated to a much more painful issue. Your friends think he likes you. You think it's the other way around. But Carl, his thinking is different.
A/n - I realized that I have been using the same point of view throughout almost all of my writing, and I figured it was boring to constantly read like that, so I'm changing it up! Anyways the point of view I've been using is secondary. Figured if anyone cared- I am now going to try writing in first person.
Also, I figured I might as well finish this since it's been sitting in my drafts since day one. It's small and simple, I kinda wished I did more to it, but who knows- maybe I'll make a part two for it someday or just recreate it entirely.
Some parts in this fanfiction aren't canon. Meaning it wasn't from the show!!!

***Y/n's Pov***
I was cleaning up the bloody mess I made on my wrist. This was the third time this week that I did this to myself. I couldn't help it, though. I've been feeling depressed lately, at least more than usual.
It's not anything in particular. However, my mother would say otherwise. She thinks it's all cause of that "no good Carl." In her own words too. Though she wasn't wrong.
I've known Carl for years, and he hated me ever since we met. I don't know why he hates me; he just does.
I never did anything to him in particular, or at least I don't think so.
"Y/n! You better hurry; otherwise, you'll be late again!"
That was my mother. I should probably go...
"Coming!"
Time skip!~
It was currently breakfast time here at my school. I normally hate breakfast time, along with lunch and free time too... My friends say I'm weird for that, but truth be told, I hate it because of him...
"Yo! Carl!" A random guy yelled. "What's happening?" He says as they get all friendly.
I bit my lips and held my books tighter. All-cause Carl Gallagher just entered the room.
Carl Gallagher... He's umm... something? Most people would call him a bully, especially if they saw the way he treated me, but honestly, I just think he uses me as an excuse to not look weak. After all, back then, during elementary school, he had this reputation of which he'd beat up kids just for looking funny.
Honestly, I envied him about that. Not caring about what anyone else thinks and just doing what feels right to you. I want to live like that.
The bell rings, signaling everyone to head to class.
Oh great. I hate this part. Reason is because I'll have to walk past him and if you were listening, he's not so friendly with me...
"W/n! There you are!" Carl gave you a big smile. "I was looking for you!"
"Ah... it's Y/n..." You said, feeling somewhat uncomfortable. "Never changed the name." You laughed awkwardly, trying to break that uncomfortable feeling.
"Rrright. Anyways! Where's my homework?" Carl didn't sound so friendly no more.
"Right here." You handed him your notebook. "If you could, I'll need tha- and he's gone." You sighed in defeat as you walked towards your first-period class.
I know that was pathetic, and you probably dealt with worst, but that was him being nice. Believe it or not, I got lucky. He was in a good mood this morning soo...
You entered your class and sat down.
Anyways, Carl used to like me. Or at least that's what my friends would always say back when we were still in middle school.
Nowadays, they don't really care about my situation with him anymore. It's old news to them. Which I don't blame them even if they did care; they couldn't change anything about it.
"Y/n? Y/N!"
"Uh?!" You snapped out of your thoughts. "Oh, hey, bff/n. What's up?"
"What's up?! What's up with you? I've been snapping my finger's in front of you for the last minute. What were you thinking about?"
"Oh, it's nothing."
This is bff/n. S/H/T are amazing. In fact, S/H/T is the only one that still cares about well the Carl situation.
"Did Carl do something again?" S/H/T said?
"No. Not exactly..."
"Where's your notebook?" S/H/T asked.
"Uhmm-"
"I KNEW IT! HE TOOK IT AGAIN, DIDN'T HE!"
"Keep it down!"
"Y/n! How can you be okay with this!"
"It's okay, really-!"
"He's tormenting you!" S/H/T interrupted. "Eventually, it'll turn into something way worst!"
"He's been 'tormenting' me for years, and it's never gotten too bad-"
"TOO BAD?!" S/H/T yelled. "He gave you your first panic attack! He embarrassed you countless of times..."
And there S/H/T goes. This is going to take a while.
You rested your head on the palm of your hand as the teacher walked through the door. Closing it, signaling that class is about to begin.
Time skip!~
"Look, Y/n. I'm just worried about you. Every year Carl does this to you, and only you; for some reason, doesn't that make you feel somewhat uncomfortable?"
"I mean... Eh?" You shrugged your shoulders. As your best friend groans in irritation.
"Look, Y/n. There's a 50% chance he likes you, and the other 50%, well, who knows but try to fight back or at least say something!"
"Ughh, bff/n. You know that will only make him mad," I said as I grabbed my math book for my next class. "And besides, as long as I don't irritate him, I'll be fine."
"Yeah, well, still..."
Time Skip~
Math class was as irritating as usual. Carl being Carl, kept throwing paper balls at me. Him and his group of friends kept snickering to themselves, making it a little hard to concentrate... Why did the teacher assign me to sit next to these people... ugh.
Anyways that's not the worst part. The worst part was when we got our homework papers back. Normally I would get really good grades in math, but today I got a B+. I rolled my eyes in aggravation. I have to bump this grade back up.
However, I thought it was only my grade that dropped... When I got into the hallway, Carl grabbed me unexpectedly.
"What the h*ll is this?!" He held his homework paper to my face as his other arm held onto my shoulder, pushing me against the lockers. The people just walked on past, pretending they didn't see anything.
"Uhhh..."
"Uh- UH?! Don't act stupid!" He yelled tauntingly. "You're supposed to be the smartest person in our grade! So why do I have a B on this paper?!"
"Look I'm sorry but It was just hard for me to focus during that lesson-"
"THE HEL* DO YOU MEAN HARD?!"
"Well- Well, maybe if you'd stop throwing paper balls at me, I could have focused better!"
Uh oh. That was the moment I knew I had screwed up... Carl's face turned bright red with anger as he dragged me towards the janitor's closet.
It was dark and dusty in there; it was like barely anyone ever cleans in there.
"Listen you! I told you before I gave you my homework- give me an A, or I'll kick your as*!"
I don't know what's gotten into me lately, but I said something I thought I never would-
"Why?! Why do you even care? I mean, you've never cared about anyone or anything before, so why do you care so much about your grade?!"
"Are you stupid or something? I don't, but football does. If I don't keep a good grade average, I'll get kicked off, and if I get kicked off, I'll kick you off this EARTH!" His hold on me grew tighter. I couldn't help but back up; because of this, he pushed forward.
"Ow!" I squealed. I could feel the blood starting to droop down my arm. I didn't realize this, but there were a lot of sharp objects in here... or at least it felt like it. With that, Carl grabbed the dangling on switch, turning on the lights.
He didn't notice at first, but eventually, he saw the blood. He looked at it and then looked back at me. He still had that irritated look on his face as he continued to hold onto his homework.
"Tch." He quickly grabbed my arm and pushed back the sleeves. I couldn't even react. "What the he*l?" His tone became quieter, but if his face could speak, it'd say something like, "Seriously? Cutting yourself? You're so weak."
Then without even saying anything, he started looking for something, not letting go of my wrist while doing so.
"Wha- What are you doing?" I said as he yanked my arm. He then clearly found what he was looking for, but the closet was a little too small, so I couldn't really see what he was starting at. He grabbed it, and I heard this taring sound. To my surprise, he was holding a piece of tissue, cleaning up my wound.
"You need to be more careful." He grumbled.
Huh?!?! I was so confused by this. He must have assumed that those cuts and scares were all accidental...? But what's weirder about this is why- why does he care?!
Maybe my friends were right... at least in a way. I blushed at the thought. Maybe he did like me, at least a little...

A/n
I wanted to give the reader the feeling as if Y/n is actually talking to you, as if you are the voice in, well, your own head. Or if you want you can think of it as you talking to an invisible friend in your head. Which ever works for you.~
