#donuts are the one thing I’ve never made… people requested them a lot at the gf bakery but we didn’t have a deep fryer and my boss didn’t
Note
Heya! Thank you for answering my request! Now, can I get yandere big bro. Not an incest obviously l. teru, kou and tsukasa and hanako with little sis/bro gn s/o?
Now the thing is s/o usually got a mistreat at school due to people jealous of them (kou,teru) on tsukasa & hanako case (a yokai seems to wanting tsukasa & hanako beloved dead)
However s/o seems to not mind it at all. Btw, s/o is student at the school. And seems to be reincarnated after they die, and seems to believed hanako & tsukasa after they said they were s/o ghost brother and s/o reincarnated.
Now what would be the scenario when they find s/o is sitting on the floor. Wet around their hair and their clothes seems to be been damaged. When they Ask what happen s/o said.
"oh, big brother, I'm sorry...i'm really is...today is your birthday...but..." S/o keep cry and then said this while sobbing so hard "today, there's a girl who want me to introduce her to you. But I want to give you the gift and reject her, the girl obviously didn't take it well and...she make her group do this" "i-i...keep...trying to saving money to buy you this caused i want it to be secret...but-i..guess..there's nothing to give to you" while showing a blue (blue sky) (blue light) kou.
Tsukasa & Hanako Case
"big brother...since this is your both birthday I thought it would be better to get you both a gift. But there's a girl who hate me. I didn't even knew why?" And then s/o just said while sobbing "I..know big brother hanako love donut, and and I'm sure big brother tsukasa loves it too...so I baked a homemade donut, but that girl destroy it...she...she said my cook is the worst and people who eat it will puked and not even a ghost want it" "also she steal the necklace that I buy for you two since she say I did not deserved that"
Green (hanako) red (tsukasa)

Tumblr media
Teru was your older brother and he made that known to the school
You loved the fact that you were known as Teru’s younger sibling
You loved your brother
But you knew you would be used for it
People would fake being your friend just to get close to Teru
Then once they got rejected, they always blamed you
You didn’t mind, you still wanted to be Teru’s younger sibling
Teru slowly picked up on this
He knew something was up so he told Kou
Those two tried to keep a close eye on you
But while they were there, it look like you had lots of friends
But when they left the bullying begun again
But sooner or later, the other girls true colors will start to show
Teru and Kou are protective brothers
The girls in your class should have known to not get on your brothers bad side
“Teru-nii! Looks like you got a lot of presents!” Kou called out, running to his older brother who was standing at the entrance of the school. Teru chuckled and looked back at his backpack which was full with presents from fangirls.
“Well, I guess I do...” Teru patted his younger brother on the head, making him smile brightly. “Where’s Y/n? Aren’t they supposed to be with you after cleaning the bathroom?”
“They are…” Kou's expression turned into a slightly worried one “but they said they had to go early. They told me something about wanting to get something prepared to give to you for your birthday…”
Teru sighed, he was worried. He already had suspicions that you were getting mistreated in your class but he didn’t know for sure so he never confronted you about it. He has confronted Kou about this and he had the same suspictions as well.
“Well let's go get them!” Teru clapped his hands and made his way towards the building.
“Do you think it's…” Kou didn’t want to finish the sentence.
“Let's hope not.” Teru’s carefree expression lowered at the thought. “Do you know where they went?”
Kou thought for a moment.
“No, but I know they aren’t in the old school building…”
Teru and Kou walked around the school for a while, looking for you in no avail. Kou pointed out little droplets of water that slowly got bigger reaching to the school's lockers. The boys froze when they heard sounds of sobbing. They turned the corner to see you facing your lockers drenched in water. You leaned onto your locker, closing it.
“Y/n..!” Kou called out, making you turn to him. “What happened?!”
“Who the hell did this to you…?” Teru asked, examining your ripped close and abused appearance. You looked at him and only cried more.
“I’m sorry big brother Teru…”
“Y/n, you don't need to be sorry, this isn’t your fault..!” Teru hugged you “What happened..?”
“I-its your birthday today… but there was this girl who wanted me to introduce you to her... but I said no, she didn’t take it too well and did this…” You sobbed into his shoulder. Teru’s grip on you tightened thinking about how this only happened while he was outside with Kou.
“I-I saved my money… to buy you a nice sky blue necklace… and I even got big brother Kou light blue one as well… b-but she destroyed it and I don’t have anything to g-give you…”
“Y/n that’s so sweet! We are extremely thankful!” Kou tried to lighten the mood a bit, giving you a gracious smile. You could see tears pricking the corner of his eyes. Teru was still angry that his suspicions were true, he was praying they weren’t.
“Who did this?” Teru sternly asked.
“I-it’s fine Teru…” You kneeled to the ground picking up pieces from the necklace she destroyed “She already left… there is nothing I can do now…”
“Y/n… please…” Kou kneeled down next to you and put his hand on yours.
“Guys, what would make me feel better is if we got home… can we please go home?” Your voice was begging. You just wanted to be in a warm blanket watching T.V. with your siblings.
That's all you wanted right now.
“Okay… I’m sorry Y/n, let's go home okay!” Teru gave you his jacket which you happily accepted.
“Even though I couldn’t get the gift, it meant the world to me!”
----
You sighed walking to your classroom. It was early and you were tired. You were happy your brothers didn’t ask you about it for the rest of the night, you didn’t want them to worry. You thought you would get a load from the girls who did this to you yesterday but you were shocked when she bowed in front of you instead.
“Y/n! I am so sorry! Please forgive me for what I did to you yesterday! It was very rude of me and I am very sorry!” She was shaking.
“Oh, uh, it’s alright..! No need to bow, I forgive you…” You put your hands in front of your chest, genuinely confused. Once she stood straight up you saw a big red mark on her cheek. She had tears in her eyes but ran to her desk before you could get a better look at her. You looked to Tsuchigomori who only nodded with an apologetic look on his face.
‘What happened this morning…?’
----
“Teru? You still look down?” Kou faced his brother as they both walked to class.
“Sorry Kou… just a little upset by the person who did this to Y/n…” Teru apologetically smiled.
“Well you slapped her, that taught her a lesson!” Kou encouraged.
“Trust me Kou,” Teru’s smile turned into a frown
“If a teacher wasn’t there, I would have kicked her ass.”

Amane found it unforunate you were caught in the crossfire of him and his brothers conflic causing you too kill yourself as well
Tsukasa thought it was great that his younger sibling was now dead too
Gosh Tsukasa-
But what they didn’t expect was for you to get resurrected
You were able to see supernaturals yourself and you couldn’t age from the day you died but you weren’t a ghost like your brothers
Tsuchigamori helped you establish a somewhat normal school life
It was all good for the most part, you were back in school, Hanako was the leader of the 7 mysteries, and Tsukasa was just crazy happy
The fact you are getting mistreated is mostly Tsukasa’s fault
Like he can make a lot of enemies so when the fish yokai (that he killed) saw how close you and Tsukasa were, of course they wanted to kill you
It was also a perk that you were Hanako’s sibling since they wanted to get back at him as well for stealing their princess Yashiro away from them
You were weak and had a human body, you were perfect
Amane had no idea about this, Tsukasa didn’t know you were being abused but he did know he pissed off those fish AND HE PISSED EM OFF GOOD-
You figured you would be a target for yokai since your older brothers are powerful
Of course, you didn’t mind this
You knew this would happen so it’s alright!
But the thing was, it wasn’t so alright with your older brothers
Hanako watched the cherry blossoms fall from the tree that he sat under. It was November 25, his birthday, and you said you wanted to have a talk with the two boys. Normally you would talk to them separately because you knew how Amane felt towards his twin brother, but today you wanted to talk to them together. Hanako cancelled his normal cleaning duty and waited where you said to meet up.
“Amane!!” He heard a scream from behind him but before he could turn around he felt someone hug him, wrapping their legs around his waist.
“Oh, Tsukasa…” Hanako said softly, personally finding this kind of awkward.
“Where’s Y/n?? It’s been so long since I’ve seen them!” Tsukasa removed his head from Amane’s neck looking around for you.
“Oh, they aren’t here yet, and I remember them saying they saw you two days ago…”
“So long ago!” Tsukasa whined and Amane sighed at his childish behavior. It went silent but thankfully Tsukasa quickly broke it.
“Didn’t Y/n say to meet them here 15 minutes ago??”
“Yeah they did…” Amane started to get worried.
“They're late!” Tsukasa pouted.
“You’re late as well Tsukasa… And we should go look for them.”
“I’ll lead the way! I know where their last class is!” He stood up and started marching, Hanako closely behind him.
They walked around the school for a while, watching students run across the halls to their clubs, laughing and gossiping with one another. Tsukasa continued to march, not losing the bounce in his step. They came closer to the sound of someone crying, sobs getting louder as they approached a classroom. The twins looked at each other before Tsukasa opened the door.
You jumped slightly, removing your head from between your legs to look at who came in. You only began to cry more realizing it was your two brothers.
“Y/n…?” Tsukasa slightly whispered to himself, staying at the door's entrance.
“Y/n! What happened?!” Amane ran to you, fearing you were hurt in any way. He put his arm on your wet shoulder, looking around to see if there were any visible bloody wounds. He looked at your uniform which was damaged and had a few cuts in it. Your hair was also wet like if someone poured water on you. Tsukasa slowly made his way over to you, examining you up and down. You couldn’t make out the expression on his face but you knew anger was there.
“I-I’m sorry…” You said a little above a whisper.
“You’re sorry for what..?” Amane asked, moving the wet hair out of your face to get a better look at your soaked, tear-stained face.
“Big brothers...since this is both your birthdays... I thought it would be better to get you both a gift. But there are these fish yokai who don’t like me..!” You picked up a couple red and green gems from the floor. Hanako’s eyes widened.
“I... know big brother Amane liked donuts and I assume big brother Tsukasa likes them as well… but they took the donuts I made you saying my cooking was t-the worst and you wouldn’t want it..!” You continued “And they took the necklace I bought for you guys saying I don’t deserve it…”
“Were they talking fish..?” Tsukasa's voice was cold, eyes wide with rage. You only nodded your head.
“Amane, will you stay with y/n? I have something I need to do.” Tsukasa turned to Amane. Hanako already knew what he was going to do.
He was going to go after the mermaid and her fish. There was nothing he could say to stop him.
“O-okay… do what you have to do…” Amane nodded and Tsukasa left the room.
“W-wait… where is he going..?” You started to get up but Amane sat you back down.
“Hey, don’t worry Y/n… older brother Tsukasa is going to take care of this okay?” Amane hugged you.
“But I don’t mind the fish… it’s fine-”
“No. It’s not.” Amane’s aura grew darker before his loving brotherly smile appeared again.
“And hopefully by tomorrow, you won’t have to deal with those disgusting fish!”
----
“Y/n! Amane!” Tsukasa called out as he walked down the halls. When he approached the door he opened it revealing you and Amane laughing. You were somewhat dry and you stopped crying.
“Tsukasa!” You got up and gave him a hug.
“What happened to those fish…?” Worryness in your voice.
“Don’t worry about it Y/n! You don’t need to worry about them anymore!” He childishly smiled, bringing ease to you.
“Amane approached you two, smiling. He looked to see Tsukasa’s hand that was behind his back covered in blood. Hanako's smile dropped and he went silent. He quickly regained his composure and turned to you.
“Yeah, Y/n you don’t need to worry about those fish. Your big brothers will kill any other supernatural that dares hurt you!”

Lost self confidence
Anon: Can I request a lil one-shot where y/n has been on the team for a while and she put on some weight/starts feeling insecure about it and Gibbs helps her feel better? :> If not it's okay (Preferably a lot of fluff, angst & smut up to you)
Anon: Can I ask for a plus sized reader and gibbs please? I never see them :( Maybe someone says something about her weight when theyre working a case or something and he does the gibbs-legendary-elevator-conversation??? OuO
I thought those two requests work well together. Enjoy, lovely anons! ❤️
Warnings: punch, mention of blood, hurtful comments about weight

~~~~~
Your body changed. A lot. More than you like to admit.
You have been avoiding mirrors for a while now, but as you stand in front of it right now, only dressed in underwear, you have to face it. Your body changed and you don’t like it. Actually, you hate it.
As you look at your stomach that used to be flat, your hips that are larger, the celulitis… you can’t help but to think it’s no wonder you’re alone. Who could you attract, looking like this? Not many people and definitely not the man you wish you had. He has probably noticed how your body is different. Maybe before, you stood a chance with the man but not anymore. It’s a lost cause.
You put some clothes on and left for work.
You and your team are working on a tricky case, you are not impatient to get into the office today. But as always, you put on your best smile and pretend that everything is okay. Even though it’s most definitely not.
You skipped breakfast this morning - on purpose - but when you sit at your desk, you can see a brown bag sitting there. You look inside; donuts. Not just regular donuts, but your two favorites.
“Gibbs’s treat.” Tony lets you know.
“What’s the occasion?” you casually answer, putting the bag aside. It’s definitely a bad idea to eat them.
“No occasion. You’re just his favorite,”
You can’t help but smile at this. Not that it’s true, but it feels nice anyway. Before, you would have been happy about your boss’s attention, but not today. “Aren’t you going to eat them?”
“I’m not hungry. Do you want them?”
Tony grabs the bag before you know it. At least, you won’t have to throw them away.
You put yourself into work quickly after. You need to take your mind off your insecurities and how bad you feel about yourself. Tony tries to make casual conversation, just being his old self but as you barely answer, he realizes that something’s wrong with you. He just doesn’t know what.
“You’re staring.” You say to him, without looking up from your computer screen.
“You’re in a bad mood.” He states.
“Am not.”
“Y/N, please.” He stands up from his desk and walks up to yours. “I’m a trained investigator. Talk to me.”
“Not a chance.” You keep working, avoiding eye contact. You’re scared that he may read into you, or worse; that you may cry if he starts to ask too many questions.
“Did Gibbs get the order wrong?” He jokes. He doesn’t mean wrong at all, but it sets you off.
“Just-- leave me alone, DiNozzo.”
You practically jump for your chair, grab your laptop and walk away from the bullpen, leaving your coworker in awe. He’s not sure what just happened, but he’s more convinced that something’s really not okay with you.
You spend the next two hours hiding in the conference room. You didn’t work much, you mostly cried and felt sorry for yourself. You really hate yourself and your body right now. It’s not about gaining some weight, it’s also about how lonely you feel. You love your team more than anything, they really are like your family but when you get home at night, it’s just you. You and your thoughts. You and your loneliness.
You just want someone to get home to. Someone to cuddle, someone to love and who loves you back, someone to fall asleep with. Just someone.
You had your face buried in your arms when you heard the door opening. You look up, ashamed. Gibbs is standing here.
He closes the door behind him and walks to you. “You okay, Y/N?” he softly asks.
“Y-yeah. Just a bit tired.”
“You know, if DiNozzo pissed you off, you can tell me.”
You chuckle. “Nah, it’s nothing he did. I guess I got up on the wrong foot this morning, that’s it.”
Gibbs did let it go - for now - but you knew he didn’t buy any of it.
That is later's concern though, there is some news on the case and you need to get going. The afternoon went better; your mind was focused on the case, you didn’t have time to think of the rest. It’s only when you get back home that it hits again. Before taking a shower, you put a sheet on the big mirror in your bedroom. You don’t want to face your reflection for now.
*****
The next morning, you are in a better mood. Not entirely, you still skipped breakfast and avoided all the mirrors but you made a decision: you won’t let the team know. You won’t let them see you’re going through a tough time. It would only make things worse.
Everything’s going okay until that stupid lawyer shows up. You never wanted to see him again after hooking up with him over a year ago. He seemed nice and good looking, he flirted with you the whole time he was in the office, so when he invited you for a drink, you said yes.
Your agreement had something to do with Gibbs’s flirting with that shrink but to this day, you keep telling yourself that it hadn’t.
After a few drinks, you let the lawyer kiss you and before you knew it, you took him home and you had a one night stand.
The sex wasn’t the problem, you actually had a lot of fun. The problem was the next day.
He was gone before you woke up - still not a problem. But when Gibbs yelled at you for giving him some private information, you understood your mistake. The man had used you. While you were sleeping, he looked into your files and found the information he needed to save his client’s butt.
After that, Gibbs gave you the silent treatment for weeks. And he stopped being mad at you after you came to see him in his basement and did your mea culpa. No one ever talked about it since.
But now, the same man is standing in the middle of the bullpen. You growled to yourself before going in.
You don’t greet him at all, just sit at your desk. “Y/N? That’s you?” he says, apparently shocked.
You look at him briefly and don’t answer.
“My god, what happened to you?” he adds.
“Excuse you?” you snap.
“God, if you had been looking like this last year, I wouldn’t have been able to use you.”
His sentence feels like a punch in your stomach, it hurts. But it shouldn’t and you know it. But it still does. You stay there a moment, not knowing if you want to cry and beat the crap out of him. Probably both at the same, but you don’t move or don’t say a thing, you’re like frozen. You barely don’t notice when Gibbs pushes the man towards the elevator.
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Ziva asks.
In the elevator
“Overprotective much, Gibbs?” the lawyer tries to appear confident and unafraid. He has his back against the wall, and in a second, he can hear Gibbs’s fist hitting a few inches away from his head. If the fist had touched his nose, he probably would have needed plastic surgery.
“Ever in your life, you disrespect a woman like that again, and especially--especially not Y/N.”
The lawyer made many people angry over the years, but never had he seen a man as angry as Gibbs looks right now.
“The only reason my hand is in this wall and not your face right now, is because she wouldn’t want me to get in trouble, but trust me when I say that all I want to do right now is to shoot you right in your precious parts.”
Gibbs is panting from anger. He can’t remember the last time he said that many words at once. But there’s no way that he or anyone else can disrespect you like this. Never, under his watch.
“So I’m gonna be very clear, you give that case to someone else. I don’t give a shit who, you just do it. And I don’t ever want to see your face again. Cause if I do, you’ll be so disfigured, you won’t be able to get another woman. Ever.”
“I could sue you for those threats, Special Agent Gibbs.”
“Are you planning to?”
“Maybe I am.”
“Well, in that case--”
This time, Gibbs’s fist hit the nose.
Meanwhile, in the bullpen
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Ziva asks.
“Yeah-yeah,” you clearly lie as your eyes are watering.
Your coworker isn’t buying it. She takes a step forward and hugs you softly. “Please, don’t let him get to you.” she whispers in your ear. “You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.”
Those words make you cry. You are not really buying them, but it does something to hear them. And you know deep inside that Ziva wouldn’t say something she doesn’t think.
As she keeps hugging, you can feel someone else’s arms wrapping around both of you. It’s Tony and shortly after, Tim is joining. “I think we should call Ducky. We’re going to have a crime scene.” Tony jokes to light the mood.
“I don’t want Gibbs to put himself in trouble for me.” you sadly say.
“Y/N, if Gibbs hadn’t taken him in the elevator, we would all have jumped on him.” Tim tells you. Which surprises you because Tim is the one to avoid a fight as much as he can.
“Also, the only reason I’m not asking you out is because of Rule 12.”
You are about to answer to Tony when you can hear the elevator’s doors opening. You let go of one another and watch Gibbs as he comes back to you and takes you by the hand. “Someone may have to call 911.” he tells the rest of the team.
Gibbs takes you to the other elevator, the one that leads to the lower floors, where Abby’s lab and Autopsy are. But of course, he switches the button as soon as the doors close. He doesn’t say a thing, he just hugs you tight. “Your hand is blue, Gibbs.” you cry in his neck.
“Yeah and his nose is red, who cares.” he kisses your hair. “I don’t want you to cry because of him, Y/N. And especially not because of what he said.”
“But Gibbs--”
“Not ‘but’, Y/N. Look at me.” he softly grabs your chin with his non-injured hand and forces you to look into his eyes. “You may not believe me right now, but you’re beautiful, Y/N. Sexy. Hot.” you uncontrollably shake your head, not buying a word he says. “I know I’m not the best with words, so I’ll let my actions speak.”
Gibbs ducks his head just a bit and closes the gap between his lips and yours. He softly kisses. You probably have never been kissed this softly before. Gibbs is so gentle and tender, his lips move slowly but expertedly. You’re literally melting under him.
The kiss may have lasted for minutes, hours, you don’t really know. You lost track of time, as if the world had stopped spinning.
“I’m sorry I waited for something like this to happen to do it. I’ve wanted this for a very long time, Y/N.”
“Me, too, Gibbs. But I’m not sure that’s the best time. I’ve lost all self confidence and--”
He kisses you again, undoubtedly to make you shut up. “I’ll help you find it again. I wish you could see yourself through my eyes.”
You rest your forehead against his, some tears are still rolling down your cheeks. “You’re not bad with words.”
“I’m still better with touch.”
Needing Dad’s Assurance (Tony Stark X Daughter!Reader)
Characters: Tony Stark X Daughter!Reader
Universe: Marvel, Avengers
Warnings: Spoilers to End Game, death, mourning
Request: Can I have angsty as shit Tont x daughter reader after the events of Endgame where she moved back into the tower on her own even though she could have lived with Pepper and Morgan, feeling like she has to do everything on her own now and not bother them cos they're grieving (even though she is too) and it gets to the point of university of university applications and final exams and she just breaks down - cue friday activating a hologram version of Tony to comfort her . . .And just v sad y'know?
Tumblr media
You had felt like you had needed to cry for… a long time. The urge to just break down, lose yourself in the tears and just scream away your frustration, damning the world for being cruel. However, you hadn’t given yourself the opportunity, simply hoping that if you bottled them up for long enough, the feeling would go away. However, you realised far too late that it was doing the opposite.
Today was the one month anniversary of your father’s death, and you’d been keeping yourself busy to try and distract yourself from the pain, all while making sure your emotions wouldn’t be anyone else's problem. You had distanced yourself from everyone, including your step mother and sister, Pepper and Morgan. You kept yourself busy this last month- investing in buying back the tower and moving into it. You mimicked a lot of the furniture and style your dad had put it as- you were a young teenager when he constructed the tower, and you spent a time living here. It made you feel like a princess in this big tower, looking down at the world around you, safe from all the bad in the world. It made you feel untouchable. You even put back all the protocols he had in the system- though you had Friday instead of Jarvis.
You had finally finished putting the furniture where you wanted it to be in the living room, and as you took a step back to look at it, you felt a wash of nostalgia hit you. It was just how your dad had it. You could imagine him just walking through the door, cracking a random joke and asking you if you wanted to go get donuts.
That was the crack. You essentially felt it. The crack in your resilience as you realised all this was a desperate, pathetic attempt to feel like he was still here. Like he wasn’t gone. Back when you were happy, knowing your dad would protect you from anything, even when you became an adult. You wanted him back. You needed him.
A sob racked your back, and as the first one hit, it was powerless to stop the others as you sunk to the floor. What was the point of all this? Buying back the tower, putting things back how he put it? Putting back his protocols, hell, even Friday? Were you trying to fill his shoes? Trying to find some sort of comfort of a time when he was alive? Even you didn’t know. All you knew is that it hurt, and you wanted him here. You wanted him to hold you and tell you it’s okay.
“Y/N.” The voice that broke through the sound of your sobs, made your heart stop, and for a moment, broke you out of your sobbing. You looked up, seeing him. Your dad. He was sitting on the arm of one of the couches in the room, looking ahead, just missing your sight. You slowly got up, staring at him. How the hell was he here?”
“Dad?”
“Hi honey. If you’re seeing this is it probably means you’ve taken up one of my worst habits of bottling up all your emotions until it overwhelms you… probably because I’ve died.” He told you. You took a sharp breath in, realising what this was. Your dad had made projections of himself quite frequently in the years leading up to his death, sort of like a digital will to comfort those he cared about. You never imagined he’d made one for you having a breakdown over his death. “I know it hurts, and I’m sorry. But you don’t have to hear from people ‘this isn’t what he would have wanted’. You can hear it straight from me. You’re strong, you’re tough as nails, even tougher than me and don’t fight me on that. But because of that you mistreat your own feelings. It’s okay to be sad, and it’s okay to cry. I’m not telling you to not cry. But don’t do it quietly when no one’s around. Hopefully Pepper is still around, if you need a hug she’ll give you one… or, if you want a hug from your old dad… I’ve set up a program in all the suits. Just go up to them, and say ‘dad, can I have a hug?’. I’ve programmed it from all the times you hugged me in it, so it’ll hug you the exact same way I do… so technically I am hugging you.” He told you. You stood there, tears just rolling down your face, though you didn’t sob, you just let them flow. “I know you’re probably crying right now, and that’s okay. But don’t cry too much, okay? Smile for me, won’t you honey? Come on. Smile for me.” He asked, smiling himself. You couldn’t help it, as a natural smile graced your lips. “There we go. Hey, in case you ever forget- I love you. You’ll always be my little girl, and it won’t be the last time you hear from me. I’ve made a bunch of these in almost all situations that might happen in your life, so I’ll always be there for you. This isn’t goodbye, okay? I’ll always be there when you need me.”
“Thanks dad.” You told him. Tony smiled, before he disappeared. You smiled to yourself. Good ol’ dad.
Hope you like it! If you have any questions, please send them in!
You should've known. It was all too good to be true -- too close to being a fairytale as it teetered on the edge of perfection, just waiting to fall off that mythic pedestal.
Lisa's eyes meet yours the moment you walk through the front door, opening widely as she scrambles to collect herself -- she clearly hadn't expected to be caught.
"Seriously, Lisa? Wow." Part of you is shocked, but you'd be lying if you said you didn't see this coming. The bags in your hands hang heavily, weighed down by everything YG sent home with you for review, and their plastic straps uncomfortably dig into your palms now. You don't put them down, though; they serve as a good distraction for what you're witnessing.
"Y/N-- I can explain, I promise!" Lisa walks around the counter and tries to reach for you, but you're quick to step away before she can.
"Don't," you say, glancing down at her outstretched hand. She gets the memo, giving a subtle nod as she obediently puts it back at her side to appease you.
"I can't believe you."
"Baby I'll go pick up some more, any kind you want!" Her eyes are pleading now, scanning between yours with purpose as her brows furrow more and more. She's desperate to make it up to you.
Her bargaining piques your interest, but you don't show it. She's not getting off the hook that easily. "How could you eat the last one?" Disappointed, you give her a hurt look. "You know I've been craving them and you still ate it! I didn't even get one!"
"I'm sorry! I didn't realize that this was the only box of them we had."
Your favorite donuts, all gone. And when you're on your period, no less. The audacity that your girlfriend possesses really blows you away sometimes.
The pout on your face eventually fades a bit as you see the sincerity in her eyes, and with a small huff, you crack a smile. After stepping around her to place your bags on the counter, you turn around and wiggle a finger at her. "We're getting 2 boxes, and you're paying."
"Of course, babe. You can get as many toppings as you want, too." She adds, her smile widening obnoxiously as she wraps her arms around you.
"You're lucky you're cute, jerk." Your arms loop around her neck as she pulls you in, rubbing your back to soothe you. Despite joking around, she really does feel guilty -- she knows how bad your periods can get, and those sweet treats always seem to make things at least a little better.
"Come on, let's go get them." She whispers against your temple.
You raise your head to look at her, eyes wide in shock. "Right now? I thought you meant we'd go tomorrow… it's getting late, Lis."
"Why would I miss out on an opportunity for a late night drive with my girl? Besides, it's still open for…" she glances at her watch before looking back into your eyes, "...2 more hours. I think that should be enough time for you to choose." She teases, narrowing her eyes at you playfully. You can be pretty indecisive at times, but a lot of that uncertainty seems to fade for you when you're hungry enough.
"They have so many good options, though. You might have to help me pick."
"Okay, but do me a favor? Remember this moment when you want to yell at me again for not getting enough of your favorite kind." She cracks up when she sees you hide your face behind your hands, laughing at yourself.
"I do get pretty cranky sometimes, don't I?" You tilt your head to the side, looking at her with a soft smile.
"That's an understatement, but I'll let it slide. You're adorable."
She plants a sweet kiss to your cheek before grabbing your hand and leading you out to the car.
Where you go I follow
No matter how far
If life is a movie
Oh you're the best part, oh oh oh
You're the best part, oh oh oh
Best part
The windows of Lisa's car are rolled down, allowing the warm evening air of Seoul to flow in and gently ghost over your skin. Vibrant city lights pass by leisurely, blending together in the distance to create a breathtaking skyline, and Lisa has no desire to rush anything. She keeps the car at a cruising speed, enabling you to relax and enjoy the smooth ride. Her thumb strokes over your knuckles as she sings along with the song, both of you knowing who she's aiming the words at. Occasionally she brings your hand to her lips, laying soft kisses to your skin.
The heat radiating from your seat warmer fends off any possibility of a cramp, further putting you at ease. Today was a long day of rehearsal and interviews, only broken up by meetings that you didn't particularly enjoy sitting through. It drug on mercilessly, paying no mind to how exhausted you were or how eager you were to be home. Every time you'd sneak a glance at the clock, nodding along to whatever your manager was saying without actually listening, you'd find the time creeping by, the minute hand barely further than what it had been during your last check. It was boring and monotonous, but now you're here with Lisa and you couldn't be happier.
The open sunroof allows for you to peek up at the stars, seeing them twinkle brightly for you, as if to say hello again. The sky surrounding them is rich; its velvety darkness serves as the perfect backdrop for them, making their colors pop in all the right ways. It's a gorgeous sight, and although you hate to admit it, maybe you're not too incredibly angry at Lisa for eating your donuts after all.
"We missed you back at the dorm today," she says with a soft smile, her eyes still trained on the road as she lazily rubs her cheek against your intertwined hands.
"Yeah?" You ask, turning your attention to her. "I missed you guys, too. I couldn't wait to get out of there; Jiyoung barely gave us a break, and we were practically buried in all the paperwork we had to go through. I've never signed so many things in my life." A grimace tugs at your features at the lame memory, and Lisa sports a very similar expression.
"I'm so glad I'm not you," she says with an amused smile now, chuckling when you flick her. "We're so proud of you though, baby, and all of this work will be worth it. Your solo is gonna blow everyone away." The fleeting look she throws over her shoulder to you makes your heart swell with pride, and you're reminded of how far the two of you have come.
Through trials and tribulations, hidden feelings and repressed desires, the two of you eventually found your way to each other in the end. You'll never forget the day that she asked you to be hers:
"Lisa, we can't get another cat right now! You know I love them just as much as you, but we don't have room." You try to reason, running a brush through your hair as you continue getting ready.
"You're no fun," she groans, throwing herself back onto the bed like a frustrated toddler. In a perfect world, she'd have a house filled to the brim with little kitties scurrying around, rolling and playing with each other -- she doesn't understand why some people try to put a limit on how many she can have.
"Stop complaining or we'll be late," you warn, giving yourself a final once-over in the mirror before walking over to the bed. You stand between her parted legs, gazing down at her until she realizes you're there and opens her eyes to look at you.
For a moment, she doesn't say anything; she just takes in the sight of you before shaking her head. She's smiling like a giddy teenager, and you can't help but question her with a breathy laugh.
"I'm so in love with you."
She's implied that before -- her words usually accompanied by nervous fidgeting and an avoidance of eye contact -- but something about this time is different. Her gaze holds a softness that you've never quite seen from her, an added layer of tenderness and care behind her words.
She's not afraid anymore, and, truthfully, neither are you.
You've turned her into a more gentle person - one that thinks before she speaks and doesn't act so impulsively anymore - and a sense of accomplishment settles within your heart. It's not that you wanted to change her -- she just naturally adopted some of your mannerisms, shifting into a better version of herself.
"I've never loved anybody like I love you, Lisa." You confess, a look of pure adoration on your face as you realize how true your own words are. She's evolved into a better person to be with you, knowing that she couldn't function as her old self any longer, and that alone makes her different from all the rest.
You see her release a little nervous breath as she moves to sit further back on the bed, coaxing you into her lap. You have a sneaking suspicion of what's coming, but you bite back the smile that threatens to break out on your face and allow her to speak next.
"Well, then, I think it's only natural that I ask that question." She starts, referencing back to the night that you all made up. You're glad you didn't jump into anything then, when you were high on your emotions -- both of you needed time to grow individually first, but now the stars are finally aligned. You know the time is right now, and you're ready to be together.
"Go ahead," you nod with a smile, playing with the baby hairs on the nape of her neck as your arms rest against her shoulders.
Part of you wants to mess with her and say no, but all of that goes out the window once she asks the words she's been dying to.
"Jagi, will you be my girlfriend?"
"I'd love to, Lili."
Smiling like an idiot, she wraps her arms around you and lays back, falling onto the cushions with a soft bounce as she pulls you in for a kiss. She peppers your face with hundreds of tiny pecks, giggling when you squirm and squeal at her ministrations.
You pull away slightly, just enough to look into her eyes, and you grin. "Should we just cancel the reservation? I don't think we'll make it on time and I'm too happy right now to even leave."
She agrees, deciding that eating takeout on the couch while Netflix plays in the background is a much more tempting offer, and reaches for the phone in your back pocket.
She lets her hands wander, knowing exactly what she's doing to you, but you allow her to have her fun -- a fitting revenge plan is already being formulated in your mind anyway.
The fingers of her unoccupied hand flirt with the hem of your shirt, sneaking up under the material to caress your side as she waits for her call to be answered. You brush the back of your hand over her cheek lovingly, reveling at how smooth her skin is.
"Gorgeous," you whisper, tilting your head down to kiss along her jawline. She sighs as you continue, lulling back into that blissful state of happiness she enters anytime your lips are on her.
Suddenly, the line picks up and a familiar greeting can be heard. "Hello, how may I help you?" A surprisingly pleasant voice asks, the smile evident in how her words come out.
"Hi, I'm calling to cancel a reserva-- oh," Lisa starts off strong, only to get blindsided halfway through when she feels your lips against her neck. They tease the tender skin just the way she likes, strategically parted by your tongue every now and then to lick a heated path to your next target area.
She has to pull the phone away from her mouth when you snake a hand down her body, allowing it to travel to all the places she wants you most.
"Ma'am?" The hostess asks when the line remains silent, Lisa too busy moving her head to the side to give you more access to respond to her.
"S-sorry about that," she lightly smacks the back of your head as punishment, but soon groans again when you nip at her pulse point. "Manoban. I need to cancel my reservation."
The woman begins typing away at her keyboard, searching the list for Lisa's name. Your girlfriend's legs wrap around your waist, and she grinds her hips against you with a smirk on her lips. The little tease is loving this.
You move away from her neck now, satisfied with the marks you left behind as you follow the path that your hand previously made. You leave no area unattended as you methodically work your way down, making it a point to give attention to all of her most sensitive spots in order to get a rise out of her.
You do, of course, in the form of quiet expletives and breathy mewls of your name in between the small talk she's having with the hostess.
When you sit back on your knees, momentarily stilling your movements, Lisa's eyes flutter down to where your hands rest: right at the front of her jeans. She gulps at the mischievous look in your eye, but bites her lip nonetheless.
"--Yes, okay Ms. Manoban, I see your reservation for 9PM? Is that correct?"
You undo the first button.
"Yes, that's correct."
You tease her, running your fingers along the material before popping the next one open. Her hips involuntarily buck up towards your hand when you brush it against her center, bringing a shade of blush to her cheeks.
"And to ensure that we're meeting the needs of all of our customers, may I ask your reason for canceling?"
You flick the last one open, glad that she's only wearing a semi-high waisted pair of pants -- that little game was fun, but her hushed moans have gotten you riled up. She covers her mouth, sinking her teeth into her palm to silence herself when you pull her pants past her hips and lay needy kisses to her upper thighs.
"Something just… came up. No fault on your part," she rushes out, wishing she could just hang up now and not care enough to be polite.
Her eyes lock with yours when you push her shirt farther up, kissing across her toned stomach as you tug on the waistband of her lingerie. Its maroon lace is paired with accents of deep purple, contrasting with her skin gorgeously as jagged breaths ripple through her. You admire the bruising patches your lips have left behind that paint her stomach, splashes of darkness to accompany the material that leaves little to the imagination.
"Ah, I see. Well we hope you'll come back and see us."
Just as Lisa is about to say a hurried goodbye and hang up, the hostess asks, "Speaking of, would you like to book another now?"
Lisa's head digs into the comforter, her eyes tightly closed in frustration… for multiple reasons. She tangles her fingers in your hair, her silent way of pleading for you to continue, and she does her best to sound stable as she responds.
"No, no. Thank you, though. Goodbye." The very second that she registers a parting word from the other end, she quickly hangs up and tosses the phone to another part of the bed.
"That was cruel," she breathes out, though both of you know she isn't upset in the slightest.
"You loved it," you say, self-assured as you smile against her hip bone. A slight tremble runs through her body, and it works to boost your confidence tenfold.
"You drive me crazy, Y/N."
You're pulled from your pleasant reverie by the feeling of Lisa nudging your thigh with her hand. You hadn't even realized you closed your eyes.
"We're here, my love." She says, unbuckling herself. You let out a tired yawn before doing the same, and you thank her when she comes around to open your door for you. You settle against her side, and soon enough the two of you are filtering into the cozy little shop.
Rows of treats greet you, all tucked behind crystal clear walls of glass for protection from any stray kids that may try to snatch one of them when no one's looking. A shorter container sits beside the standing racks, stretching out to reveal an impressive array of ice cream and sorbet flavors. You wander around, studying the different options as if you don't already know them all by heart after being such a frequent customer for so long.
"I'm debating on getting some ice cream, too. What do you think?" You ask Lisa, only to hear her let out an earth-shattering squeal in response.
She clears her throat, amusingly composing herself, and acts like the inner 5 year old in her didn't just pop out. "We can get the Super-Ultra-Mega-Shareable Waffle Cone, if you want."
"Sounds like a plan, babe." You laugh, seeing how ready she is to absolutely demolish some ice cream. You'll be lucky to even get a few bites in, you realize, though seeing her this happy is far more important.
You spend the next few minutes deliberating with her like you're judges on some Food Network show, deciding on the perfect order as you rack the price up with every gourmet topping you add. Eventually satisfied with your choices, Lisa kisses your cheek and sends you off to find a seat while she pays. Upon scanning the entirety of the dining area, you spot a corner booth that's tucked away from the busy center of the store, and you smile at how intimate it is. It's perfect, and you begin making your way over to it.
She follows behind you shortly after, shoving the change she just received down into her pocket. The large cone rests in her other hand, and she swipes her tongue along the top of it, gathering up a generous amount of whipped cream as she slides into the seat across from you.
You swear you can hear angels singing as you open one of the boxes, seeing the beautiful spread of yummy treats lined up together in neat little rows. Their delicious aromas waft up, making your mouth water in anticipation. So, deciding not to waste anymore time, you reach for the one that you've been dying to sink your teeth into all day and take your first, glorious bite.
It's made just the way you like it, with the perfect dough-to-glaze-to-topping ratio imaginable. The memory of Lisa specially requesting them to be made fresh warms your heart, and you open your eyes to look at her.
"Oh mah gahd--" you say around your mouthful of food, attempting to not choke and die when you see how crazy she looks. Ice cream is already messily smeared across her face, reaching just about everywhere -- her cheeks, nose, mouth -- you name it; and her hair is haphazardly pulled back in a messy bun.
Halfway through crunching on the tasty cone again, she looks up at you. "What?" She asks, sounding as if she genuinely has no clue as to the state she's in. You motion to her face, prompting her to grab her phone and look at her own reflection. Rather than getting embarrassed, she lets out a loud cackle, successfully throwing the two of you into a laughing fit.
It's the good kind -- slapping the table, making no noise as you egg each other on, filling the shop with those joyous sounds -- kind of thing; and seeing her so carefree is priceless. Any trace of stress that stuck around from the long day you had quickly disappears completely, no longer deserving of the room it was taking up in your brain. This moment with her is perfect, and you're so glad to be sharing it.
After things die down a bit, the two of you lean back in your chairs, tightly clutching your aching stomachs. Your cheeks hurt, too, but it's the kind of pain you're more than happy to welcome with open arms.
Lisa reaches for your hand across the table as she looks at you with that special twinkle in her eye, her smile looking particularly swoon worthy. "I'm really happy I ate those donuts earlier." She's teasing, but it's the truth -- this night is a memory she'll keep forever, added to the list of things she never wants to forget.
"Me too." You squeeze her hand and pull her in, grinning at the taste of ice cream on her lips. The next part (which you knew was coming) still makes you squeal: she nuzzles her face against yours, spreading the sticky sweetness all over you as well.
"There. Now we're matching." She kisses you again, leaving you to attempt to hide the unwanted smile that parts your lips.
—————————————————————
Spencer Reid’s lips were the kind they would have written poetry about.
They were plump, sinfully so, the first time you’d met him several years ago when you joined the team it was the first thing you’d noticed about him. How it didn’t seem fair for him have had lips such as these bestowed upon him. He had the most kissable lips you’d ever seen in your life.
If you were a writer and not a profiler, you may well have tried to write a poem about them. But alas, a wordsmith you were not. So you had to make do with just staring at them every available opportunity you got.
When he’d finally plucked up the courage to ask you on a date after six years of working together you were thrilled to say the least. Finally, after all that time imaging what those lips would feel like, you might actually get to see for yourself.
For your first date Spencer took for you dinner at a fancy restaurant. Despite the fact you had known each other so long, the date was awkward.
Usually, you never struggled to find things to talk to Spencer about. Most of the time while the rest of the team were sleeping on the jet the two of you stayed up chatting aimlessly between you.
But somehow when the word date was used, it made everything uncomfortable between the two of you.
The night started as a long, drawn out silence but thankfully you both eased into it and by the time your main courses came you were able to chat a little more freely.
You’d had dinner together countless times over the years. But that was just as friends. Not as two people who were clearly attracted to one another even though deep down that’s what you’d always been.
Spencer walked you home after dinner. It was a mild night and you didn’t live too far from the restaurant so you thought the walk would be nice.
The first few blocks you fell back into that uncomfortable silence but thankfully you found your voices again.
Despite everything, you’d had a great time and you’d hoped Spencer had too.
As you stood awkwardly on the sidewalk outside your apartment you were desperate for him to kiss you. He wasn’t quite so shy and dorky as he had been when you first met so you’d thought he might make the first move.
He did not.
“Goodnight Y/N. I’ll see you Monday.” He offered you one of his shy waves.
No, this would not do. You’d been dreaming about those lips too long. It was time to do something about it.
You moved in close, your eyes closing as you neared his lips.
But what met your lips wasn’t his own. You felt prickly skin and your eyes shot open to see her had turned his head and your lips had landed on his stubble grazed face.
“Uhm…” you stepped back feeling incredibly uncomfortable. “Goodnight then I guess.”
You chalked it up to shyness. You guessed thirty plus years of insecurities couldn’t be washed away in a three month prison stint.
***
The next time an opportunity presented itself to steal a kiss from Spencer was a few weeks later.
You were out of town on a case and he’d invited you to his room to watch Doctor Who. You’d thought or maybe hoped it was just an excuse to get you alone in his room. You were surprised to say the least when he actually wanted to watch Doctor Who.
You sat side by side on his bed watching the small hotel TV. You dared to shuffle your hand closer until your fingers brushed and eventually you’d taken the plunge and entwined your fingers.
He didn’t seem to mind, he just gave your hand a firm squeeze as he held it.
About half way through the episode you decided to go for the kiss. You were desperate to feel those lips on yours and you hoped whatever awkwardness he felt on your date had since washed away.
You turned to face him, momentarily breathless at how beautiful he was.
“Spence,” you whispered prompting him to turn and face you.
He had a dopey half smile on those lips as he looked at you. You moved quickly, closing the space ready to feel those lips.
But once again you were met with his stubbly cheek.
You tried to tell yourself he was shy. That’s all it was. It’s not that he didn’t want to kiss you. It couldn’t be, right?
***
You’d started to think maybe Spencer had changed his mind about the two of you dating. It had been several weeks since your first date and although you’d been busy with back to back cases there had been time if he’d really wanted to take you out again.
It was nearly a month after your first date he finally asked you on a second. You’d jumped at the opportunity.
Spencer took you to the Smithsonian, you’d walked around hand in hand with Spencer telling you all kinds of facts and statistics the institution didn’t share.
You hung off his every word, mesmerised by the way his lips moved as he talked and wanting to feel them on yours with a white hot passion.
He took you for coffee after and you fell into comfortable conversation. But you couldn’t keep your eyes off those goddamn lips of his.
As you stepped out of the coffee shop hand in hand you made a quick move to place a chaste kiss on his lips as he was in the middle of telling you a story about his mom. You thought if you were fast enough he wouldn’t even see it coming and you could just get this awkward air out of the way.
You leant in fast, and as your lips were about to collide Spencer side stepped, turning to face the window of the coffee shop.
You stumbled, correcting yourself before you fell face first on the sidewalk.
“I didn’t know they had donuts! Now I want a donut.” He chuckled and suddenly he was heading back inside.
“Goddamnit Spencer.” You groaned under your breath.
By now you were starting to think he just didn’t like you. Why else would he keep dodging your attempts at kissing him?
You felt downtrodden. You felt insecure. Why on Earth had he asked you out if he didn’t want to kiss you?
***
Six dates in and all you’d done still was hold hands. You really didn’t get him. He kept asking you out but never seemed interested in doing anything other than hand holding.
You liked Spencer, a lot, but you were not willing to be in a relationship where there was no kind of intimacy.
But that was all pushed to the back of your mind when you and JJ found Spencer passed out in his apartment.
He’d been involved in an explosion thanks to the psychopath Everett Lynch. He was late for work the following day which was really unlike Spencer so you and JJ went to check on him. That’s when you’d found him.
While the rest of the team worked on finding Lynch, you stayed vigil at his bedside.
When he’d finally woken up tears streamed down your face and you’d be up like a shot.
“Oh my god Spence,” you sobbed. “I thought I was going to lose you.” You leant in to kiss his chapped lips.
He rolled his head to the side on the pillow, once again your lips meeting stubbly skin.
“I’m really thirsty.” He croaked, seemingly ignoring your actions.
You swallowed your pride with a sigh.
“I’ll get you some water Spence.” And with your tail between your legs you left the room in search of hydration.
***
After that you’d decided no more. You were fed up feeling a fool every time you tried to make a move on him only to be shot down.
So you decided you wouldn’t bother anymore.
Since he left hospital the two of you still hung out but it was less frequent as usual and the word date was never used again.
One night, it came to a head.
You were in Spencer’s apartment watching some foreign film which you were struggling to comprehend despite the subtitles.
Your mind was whirring, lost down a rabbit hole of thoughts of you and Spencer. You were so preoccupied in your own head you didn’t even notice when Spencer scooted closer to you or put his arm around your shoulders.
“Y/N?” He whispered your name, snapping you out of the abyss.
“Hmm?” You turned to face him.
His tongue glided over his bottom lip and his eyes were trained on your lips.
The next few seconds happened in slow motion. Spencer started edging closer to you, his eyes fluttering closed and his lips pursed.
And you turned your head to face the TV, allowing his lips to hit your cheek the way yours had to him so many times.
He made a strange noise that sounded halfway between a sigh and a groan. You tried to pretend you were focused on the TV. You felt his eyes on the side of your face and you tried to ignore it.
After a few minutes Spencer paused the film, the room falling silent. You swallowed a lump in your throat and slowly turned to face him.
“Why’d you stop the film?” you hoped your voice didn’t sound as shaky as you thought it did.
“I think we need to talk.” Spencer chewed his lip. “I think I need to explain why I’ve been so...weird.”
“Spencer, trust me when I say you being weird is not an unusual thing.” you tried to lighten the mood.
“Weirder than usual then.” he was fidgeting in his seat, wringing his hands together in his lap.
“I hadn’t noticed.” you lied.
“Yes you have.” he told you.
“Look Spence,” you sighed. “If you don’t want to kiss me I get it. But why would you ask me out if that’s not what you wanted?” the words spilled out of your mouth.
He nodded his understanding at your words, running one hand through his messy locks.
“I do want to kiss you Y/N.” his cheeks stained red with embarrassment. “I’ve always wanted to kiss you, since the first time I met you. Jeez, kissing is just the tip of the iceberg of things I want to do with you.” his blush deepened.
Your chest tightened at his words, a twinge passing between your legs.
“You uhm...you have a funny way of showing it.” your voice was breathy. You didn’t mean it to be.
“I know.” he nodded, gnawing his bottom lip. “I freaked myself out. I got in my head and I panicked and I didn’t know how to deal with that. So I dealt with it really, really badly and I’m sorry.”
“What were you freaking out about Spence?”
He sighed heavily, the blush still straining his cheeks.
“It took me six years to finally work up the courage to ask you out.” he laughed shyly. “But when I finally did, I was terrified I wouldn’t be good enough.”
Your face dropped, sadness in your eyes.
“Spencer,” you reached for him and took hold of his hand. It was sweating and shaking.
He shook his head sadly, telling you not to try and convince him otherwise.
“Y/N, I am not...not so great with women in case you’d never picked up on that.” he chuckled again, but again it was a shy sound. “I don’t ha-have...so much ex-experience.” he swallowed hard. “There have only been...a few...women. Not enough to make me an...ex-expert in any sense.” he swallowed again. “I just wanted to be...good...for you.”
“Oh Spencer,” you felt tears in your eyes. You had no idea he’d been going through this mental turmoil. “Spencer I don’t care. I’ve wanted you for six years. Trust me, there is no way in hell you will not be good enough. I am crazy about you Spence, and all I want in the whole right now is to kiss you. I have waited too long to know what those lips would-”
He cut you off when his lips suddenly crashed against yours.
You let out a small whimper as those plump lips of his finally kissed you. They felt better than your wildest imagination.
The whimper allowed Spencer to slide his tongue in your mouth. He held your face in his large hands, exploring your mouth with fervor.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer to you.
It was without a doubt the single most magical experience of your life. Nothing could have prepared you for how good his kiss would be.
It sent goosebumps flaring across your skin, making your chest tighten with lust.
It made you wet between your legs.
Maybe you should take a writing class because these lips, this kiss, definitely deserved poems written about them.
Your whole body felt as though it were on fire, every nerve ending in your body tingling with desire.
When the kiss ended you both gasped for air, trying to satiate your now empty lungs.
Spencer’s cheeks stained red again as he waited for your reaction shyly.
“I hope that was o-ok.” He stuttered a little.
You couldn’t help the large smile that broke out across your face.
“Spencer Reid, that was more than ok. It was perfect.”
His blush deepened and he looked away from you briefly before finding your eyes once more.
“Good.” He swallowed. “Because there’s a lot more I want to do with you Y/N.”
His words made you shudder.
“Now?” You swallowed, feeling oddly nervous.
“Right now.” He nodded before taking your face in his hands and kissing you again.
He was going to show exactly what his lips could do. And those poems practically wrote themselves between the sheets.
Heey you're requests are open? I really love George so any fluff with him would make me happy 😌❤️ maybe him having a secret relationship with a quiet Ravenclaw girl and the others are wondering where's he's always going and they snoop around and find out ? Just an idea you can go all out and do whatever you want with this tbh ☺️
this is so cute!! thank you so much for requesting this! <3 <3 this came out kinda long lol just a warning.
x Sneaking Around with George (fluff)
You and George had been together for a few weeks now. You’d met when he was serving detention one day while you were staying after class to tutor some of the other students in History of Magic. You had known who he was before. I mean, he was George Weasley – how could you not know him? He didn’t exactly blend into the background, what with his and Fred’s antics and the occasional firework displays.
But you? George didn’t know you, but you weren’t surprised or insulted. You wouldn’t expect him to. You were the complete opposite, with no desire for attention and an affinity for always following the rules and staying out of trouble. You walked down the hallway with your nose in a book half the time, and when you weren’t reading, you were with your best friend Cho. She was the one who usually attracted the attention – of other friends, rumors, and guys. But no one outside of your immediate circle knew Cho’s best friend Y/N.
When George saw you that day in detention, confidently and patiently explaining the lesson to two other students in your sweet, quiet voice, he couldn’t keep his eyes off you. He had to know who you were. By the time he finished clapping erasers, you had finished your lesson. The other students had left and you were packing up your books into your bag when you felt his presence. You looked up and saw him looming over you, an uncharacteristically nervous look on his face. He introduced himself to you, even though he knew that you would know who he was, and asked who you were. The rest was history.
Now you’d been dating for almost a month. George was so excited about dating you that he was practically begging to be able to tell all of his friends. He’d give you the biggest puppy dog eyes and pout his bottom lip and it was next to impossible for you to resist. But you were more cautious. You didn’t want the attention of the whole school on you, and you knew that the second anyone found out about you and George, the rumors would spread like a wildfire and soon everyone would know. You couldn’t handle that many people staring at you, asking questions and speculating about George and the mysterious Ravenclaw girl.
You had lunch by yourself today, so you made quick work of finding a seat at the Ravenclaw table and opening your book. It was one you hadn’t read before, an old muggle story called Pride and Prejudice. You were just getting into your reading when you felt someone’s shoulder brush across your back. You startled, turning just in time to see red hair disappearing into the distance as George exited the dining hall. When you looked back down, you saw a note sitting in the center of your book. In George’s block-writing, it said, You look beautiful today, love. Please come meet me in the astronomy tower. No funny business, I promise.
You blushed as you read his note. George was always complimenting you, but not only about your looks. He told you that you looked pretty or that your eyes were particularly sparkly on a certain day, but he also told you about how much he loved your mind. He said he loved how smart you were, how patient you were with the students you tutored, and how kind you were to strangers who didn’t even know who you were. He told you that he thought it was cute the way you got so wrapped up in stories that it was like you were transported into another world.
You waited just about thirty seconds and then quickly closed your book and tucked it into your bag before making a quick exit out of the dining hall and towards the astronomy tower. You couldn’t wait to be next to George again. Being around him always made you feel so safe and warm. You could really be yourself and open up with him like you hadn’t really been able to with anyone else before besides Cho.
--
At the Gryffindor table, Fred, George, Harry, and Ron had been enjoying their lunch together, cracking jokes and plotting their next big prank when suddenly George had grown quiet, seemingly distracted by something off in the distance.
“George, mate, anyone home?” Fred has teased, snapping his fingers in front of George’s face. He was transfixed by something, but the others didn’t know what.
George snapped out of his daydream and stuttered, “Y-Yeah. I just remembered that I have to do something.”
Ron looked at him incredulously. “What’s ‘something?’” he asked, “You’ve been doing a lot of somethings lately.”
George shook his head, blushing and growing flustered. “Don’t worry about it, Ronald,” he turned to address the whole group, “I just have to go do something.” He got up quickly and headed out of the dining hall in a hurry.
Harry raised his eyebrows and took a sip of his water. “He’s usually a better liar than that, yeah?” he noted.
Ron nodded his head, agreeing with Harry through a bite of his sandwich, “Definitely, but what’s going him so worked up then?”
“Only one way to find out,” Fred answered, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
x
Up in the astronomy tour, you found George waiting for you, sitting criss-cross apple sauce on a cute, checkered picnic blanket.
“Hello beautiful,” he called out to you, patting the spot next to him on the blanket.
“Oh my goodness, George,” you cooed, your hand flying to cover your mouth in surprise, “This is so sweet! You didn’t have to do all this.” You sat down next to him and he immediately cocooned you into his chest, reaching around you to open the little picnic basket that was also on the blanket.
Inside the basket, you saw a collection of fruits and pastries – including shiny glazed donuts that George knew were your favorites.
He picked one of them up and held it up in front of your mouth. “Want a bite?” he asked and you nodded, giggling softly when he made little airplane noises as he brought it up to your lips. He was such a goofball when you two were together. You took a bite and hummed in appreciation as the sweet flavor of the dough and the glaze.
“How do you even look pretty when you’re chewing?” he wondered aloud, and you blushed at his comment, batting softly at his arm in protest.
“I definitely don’t; you’re just whipped,” you teased.
“So what if I am?” George countered, locking eyes with you and running a hand absently through your hair. You didn’t care that he was messing it up – you knew he’d think you were beautiful anyways and his touch was so loving you didn’t want him to stop.
“Kiss me,” he murmured quietly and you obliged, leaning up slightly to connect your lips in a soft kiss. George hummed against your lips before pulling away and breaking into a wide, goofy grin and declaring, “Your lips taste like sugar.”
“Yours taste like mint gum,” you noted in return.
“What can I say? I was hoping for the chance to get to kiss you again,” he responded, his grin growing even wider with confidence. He always knew exactly the right thing to say to make your heart skip a beat.
“George,” you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper. Your heart was pounding in your chest but you wanted to tell him so badly in this perfect moment. “I think I’m falling for you.”
Now you were certain his smile couldn’t grow any wider, and you felt relief rush through your body. He took your hand in his and placed a kiss on the back of it. “Oh my God, I’m so glad you said that,” he sighed happily, “I’ve been so nervous to tell you. I’m definitely falling for you, too, Y/N/N.”
Just then, you heard a thunder of footsteps coming up the astronomy tower stairs and you and George quickly jumped away from each other, embarrassed, but it was too late. In stormed Fred, Harry, and Ron, breathless from running all the way up the stairs.
“George!” Harry called out, “We finally found you!”
“Yeah,” George responded, vaguely annoyed. “At the perfect moment, too,” he added sarcastically.
You could feel that your face was burning as everyone’s eyes turned to focus on you. You wanted to crawl into George’s warm embrace and never been seen again. He’d let you.
“So this is why you’ve been sneaking away these last few weeks – a girl,” Fred deduced, crossing his arms with a smug look on his face, “Why didn't you just tell us, Georgie?”
George was rubbing soothing circles on your back. “We wanted to keep it special between the two of us for a while,” he explained, smiling down at you with the utmost admiration in his brown eyes.
“Well, now we know,” Ron joked. “Who are you, anyway?” he asked, not trying to be rude even though his tone was blunt.
George looked proudly at you and then at his brothers before taking your hand in his once again. “Her name is Y/N,” he declared, beaming, “And she’s my girlfriend.”
Revelations/ Five Hargreeves Imagine
Tumblr media
Request: Could you do an imagine for Five Hargreeves with a reader that is as snarky and sarcastic as him, and they bicker a lot, but they both like each other and just won’t admit it. And one night she has a panic or anxiety attack and he’s the only one she thinks of to go to. And there could be a confession to each other. I LOVE your stories your my favorite person to come and read from! Your just awesome!!
Thank you so much my dear @lizrobinson28 for sending this in, I’ve missed writing for Five! <3 This is an aged up imagine, where Five is around 18/9 and didn’t land in the Apocalypse!
Comments are much appreciated!
You shouldn’t be here. You shouldn’t have gone to Griddys, seen your ex, shouldn’t have come out tonight at all. Agnes, of course, bless her heart, had tried to calm you down, but it was too late. You had made the wrong decision.
Waiting outside the donut shop, you wait for Klaus to come and pick you up. It was the least he could do, he had told you that morning, for letting him bunk over at your place for the last few months. Glancing down at your watch, you sigh. He’s late, as usual, probably off somewhere getting high or smoking blunts with any friends he can find out on the streets this late.
Struggling to catch your breath, the shivering cold of the night beginning to prick under your light jacket and pierce your skin like thousands of icicles, you do the only thing your mind can put together. The only place your thoughts can straggle together into one somewhat cohesive sense of directions. The sky is rolling blanket of cloud the colour of wet ash, and the ground its dank reflection. Each step becomes a prayer that he’s in while you walk.
The Umbrella Academy was the last place you wanted to be right now. The whole building, quite honestly, sent a chill down your spine, the stories Klaus had told you reminding something from out of your nightmares. Choosing instead to meet at Griddys, you had hoped you’d never have to set foot inside Sir Reginald Hargreeves’ halls again, or see some of the people that still lived inside. Yet something in your heart tugged towards Five’s window, as you hesitantly creep around to the side of the building near the bins. To be quite honest to yourself, the thought of him is the only thing stopping the coldness from chilling your bones, the only thing keeping your feet moving.Their hinges groan as you slightly push them out of the way, picking up a stone and trying to stop your hand from shaking as you stumble back up. Still trying to stifle down the beginnings of your panic attack, you pray your stupid best friend is in, and throw the stone at the window.
Finally, after what seems to be at least twenty minutes, his chipped window frame opens up, light from his amber desk lamp flickering out into the alleyway. His frown appears, a mop of raven dark hair falling over the edge until his wide eyes land on you.
‘What the hell do you want? Can’t you see I’m busy?’
‘W-will you just s... just shut up and let me in.’
His eyebrows furrow at the gasps you take to say your usual rebuttal, and he stands back as way of allowance. Climbing up the old, rickety ladder on the brick wall side of the building, you move towards the familiar glowing light and clamber in head first.
The bedroom was furnished on a meagre budget but if was full of a heartfelt warmth. The walls were still tarnished with childish wallpaper, leaning more towards yellow colour with age, with the single bed pushed up against the wall, a bed you had spent many nights pretending to annoy each other on. Although he would never admit it, as Five grabbed underneath your armpit and led you towards the bed, kicking his papers out of the way, you’re one of the only people he stills lets into his room.
‘You know, a call or something is always appreciated when you land head first into someone’s room. Especially this late at night.’
Placing your head between your knees, you barely feel his leg bump against yours as he sits down next to you. Clasping his hand together, he tries to stop his heart from fluttering against his breast as he frowns down at you.
‘Yeah, well, you can blame your brother for that.’
‘I don’t see him here, so I’m going to stick with blaming you.’
‘Look, if you didn’t want company, you didn’t have to let me in, so zip it Hargreeves.’
Five smirks, looking down at his twiddling thumbs to try and stop his cheeks from turning a hearty shade of beetroot.
‘Well, your company is one of the only one’s I actually enjoy.’
When Five stops talking, that’s when he knows there's a problem. He’s known you for nearly ten years now, and he knows you’re not capable of some sarcastic comment - that’s one of the things he likes most about you. Your fight, your passion, being one of the only people that can keep up and set him straight. The thing was, you couldn’t talk at that moment. Your words were crowded together and some felt like they were missing. Your sentences were fragmented and your thoughts seemed to jump from one thing to another.
It was when you started hyperventilating, that Five reached out to touch your shoulder, hand shaking against his will. Before he knew it, your fingers are white-knuckled, holding onto his school blazer and asking him if everything will be okay. He doesn’t know what else to do, so he tell you yes. He tells you over and over, stroking your back and trying to calm you down, until he grabs on your hand and pulls you back over to the window, doing the only thing his brain could think of doing as well. Somehow, he remembered, that when he needed to figure out some equations away from his family, the roof was always the quietest place.
It’s nice to sit out here with someone else. The roof peaks directly above his bedroom window, making a corner the two of you can curl into, your head resting against his cheek, smushing it slightly. His breath is warm as he gingerly wraps an arm around your waist, letting it sit hesitantly against your hip.The two of you, for a moment in time, are one. Two souls bound together, lost in the breeze that caresses your faces, and the starlight dancing in the sky. The coldness of the slate tile and it's dampness seeps through the thin polyester trousers, but he finds for once, he doesn’t care one little bit. He’s still murmuring to you, soft little nothings or embarrassing stories about Diego or Luther, but you’re glad for them.
‘Trust me, if I tell you the story about Klaus and the chocolate pudding, that will make you laugh.’
When your breathing finally starts to slow, you shut your eyes, trying to figure out how you ended up here, with your best friend, and also the most annoying person you know’s arm wrapped around your waist and the other tentatively brushing against your hair. It was the calmest, the softest you had ever seen him. He was a bit forward, a little intrusive, but in the end, it was the only way he had been taught how to care under this roof. The tile starts to become cold under Five’s fingertips, and so he shuffles closer to you a little, both of his arms enveloping you, comforting and warm. In seconds your body is moulded to his own, sharing his body heat as easily as he, you realise, shares your heart. Little did you know, as Five glanced down at you with scared eyes, that he was sharing the same little revelation.
‘Y/n, I think I have to tell you something.’
‘What is it, Five.’
Your gaze slid to the side as he pulled you tighter against his chest. His nose tickled your ear as you gasped slightly at the intensity of his grip. Feeling his lips softly graze your neck, gently, like the tickle of a feather, almost not at all, you feel your face heat but you don’t pull away. Instead, you evened your breathing, summoning enough courage to meet his twinkling gaze.
‘I think we both know. I think we have for a long time.’
‘I know, but I want you to say it.’
‘You always have to have the last word, don’t you?’, he says, laughing slightly, before bumping his chin against your forehead.
Looking up at the stars that burn infinitely over his head, he whispers,
‘I’m definitely in love with you, and for the first time in my life, I’m terrified.’
The Boy Next Door
Request: 3 and/or 30 from the fluff prompts list with Five Hargreeves x best friend fem!Reader pls and thank you! 😊
Character: Five Hargreeves
Prompt: Fluff-  3. “You’re everything I could’ve wanted and more.” &  30. “I’ve been in-love with you since we were kids.”
Summary: From the neighbor you were supposed to avoid as a little kid to your bestfriend. And now there you were as teenagers with your bad math homework and a plan..
Tumblr media
You know the children in school that parents often tell each other to keep their kids away from? You never had those kids in school, but your next door neighbors. Yeah, those were the kids everyone was told to actively avoid. For a long time, well, until about the 5th grade you listened. Though they didn’t play outside during the day sometimes you could spot a Hargreeves child running about at night. You also broke the rules and stayed up past bedtime which is exactly how you saw them. One day, to your surprise, one of them noticed you sitting in your window.
 It was a beautiful night, stars in the sky, moon full and out, the air was cold and crisp. Of course you didn’t know that yet but you soon would. See, as you sat there in the window someone else was looking back. Bright eyes, black hair, big smile, but you hadn’t seen him smile. In fact you noticed him and he froze. You smiled and waved down at him as he stood a whole yard away, just staring at you instead of space. He lifted a hand and did a small wave back. After that you turned to go to bed, or at least go lay down not wanting to interrupt his night. Before you could even blink he disappeared. Then you turned around and there he was.
“HOW DID YOU- WHO ARE YOU?” You yelped and jumped back, completely caught off guard by the fact that the boy who was just being awkward from across the way was now standing in your room.
“I’m Number Five, you can call me Five, and I am ten seconds older because I went from there to here.’ He sighed and gave you a side smile.
“You just magically went from there to here?” You took a step toward him and raised an eyebrow.
“Not magic, spatial jump.” He corrected you.
“Why are you over here?”
“You looked like you wanted to watch the stars, so I thought I would help you go outside and see. Space is much more beautiful out there than in here.” He stepped around you and pointed to the window.
“Yeah, let’s go.” You took a happy and daring step close to him. Your eyes as big and bright as his, maybe even a little more.
With a deep breath he took the step close to you and awkwardly put out a hand for yours. A bit shaky, you put your hand in is, in a split moment you were both outside in the cool air. The stars sparkled against his blue eyes like sunrays on a clear river. The cold air hit you with a strong chill, of course he took notice of this and wordlessly gave you his jacket. Words were absolutely mute and did not need to happen. The two of you laid down on the cold grass next to each other.  Happy. Quietly. Lovely.
That night you became the first real friend outside of his family that Five had ever had. He let you take his jacket home with you since he had so many of the same one. You thought about that night a lot, the way that the firs thing you did was realize how beautiful his eyes were in the night’s light. The way that you so willingly took his hand. But ever since then you’d been attached at the hip. You learned how to make coffee the way he liked it, he learned to braid your hair to keep it out of your face better than a ponytail or bun. You would let him appear at random times in the night to sit and talk to him about how bad his days were. And sometimes he would even settle down so much from talking that he would fall asleep on your shoulder. He read you stories in Greek and made you try coffee that he knew you wouldn’t like just to see you smile. Of course you didn’t know that, but it was true. All of these lovely little things that made you the closest of friends. You were all now about to start high school, well you were, the Hargreeves children never really went to school. Years of being friends, incredibly close friends that had some really good on and off somehow positive tension led to the day that changed everything.
You turned on your lamp next to the desk and flashed it twice. That was how Five knew to come over and see you. The plan was simple, tell him how you feel and see what happens. Years of having donut movie nights, dancing in your room, threatening to take him to school dances, making him look at you like you were insane anytime you said anything accidentally stupid, and spending nights before his birthday with him just so you could be the first to wish him a happy birthday. Though thinking you saw his shadow from the window next door. He saw the light blink.  You then ran over to your bookbag and dragged it across the floor, taking out the math homework you did during your study hall. You pulled the chair over and sat in it, tapping your pencil against the desk.
“Numbers 7, 14, and 17 are completely wrong, and others just need some slight adjustments. I don’t think you understand this even remotely.” A hand got placed on your shoulder and Five leaned over your work. You stood up from the chair and put a hand out toward it.
“Be my guest.” He sat in the chair and took the pencil from your hand. He began to analyze what you had done.
You stood behind him and watched him work, he was so focused. On the other hand you were a nervous wreck, it was like air was trapped in your throat. Five could feel the anxiety radiating off of you, this was completely verified when he turned around to speak to you about how badly done your homework was. You were standing behind him just staring out the window bug-eyed.
“Y/N?” Five spun the chair completely around and raised an eyebrow at you. “Hey.” He poked your arm and then clapped his hands softly in front of your face.
“Hm? Yeah?” You turned to him, but did not make any eye contact.
“What’s going on?” He rose from the chair and stood infront of you.
“I- Uhm. I need to just sit, you’re good to keep doing what you’re doing.”
“You sure you’re okay?” .
“Yeah I am great.” You nod back and then sat on the bed whilst he took his seat back in the chair he was just in. He pretended to work on it, just twiddling the pencil between his fingers. He knew something was wrong. Then, after the dead silence, there was a small snap.
“I broke the pencil lead, i’ll be right back.” He flashed out of the room.
You shoved your head into the pillow and let out a quiet scream. Then you rolled off the pillow and groaned,
“Yes Five, I am perfectly fine. So awesome. I just yknow have been trying to say that  I’ve been in-love with you since we were kids. You make me so happy and that tension yeah I would love to act on it. I know you aren’t really interested in people because everyone sucks and friends are hard to come by so I am sorry for saying anything. But you’re everything I could’ve wanted and more and I think we could really make each other happy in a different way but what do I know.” A pencil was heard hitting the floor, you jumped and turned to see Five standing with his mouth slightly agape.
“D-did you mean that?” He sat on the edge of the bed and let out a strangled breath.
“I- I. Wow. You were not meant to hear that.” You hid your face with a pillow.
“So you didn’t mean it?” You could hear pained confusion in his speech.
“No, well yes, I did. I mean. I do.” The pillow you were holding close to your face was being pulled down.
He took your hand off and put your hand in his, “You are such an idiot.” He joked.
“Is that you saying you love me back and that all of our memories mean so much to you and you wanna be with me.” You laughed and he pulled you by your arm close to him.
“Yes. That is exactly what I meant.” He smiled and you could tell he meant every word you just said...
Omg can I get scenarios about how you think Fatgum and Mirio would react if they found out that their crush thought they didn’t like them?? 😭😭 ty!!!!! ❤️
From Cindy: Wowzer! I really liked this request but it took me a couple days to get some ideas worked out in my head. I’m happy with the way they turned out, and I hope you are too anon!!
A Crush?! (Fatgum x Reader) and (Mirio x Reader)
FATGUM
When Taishiro Toyomitsu first opened his hero agency in the lively city of Osaka, his first priority had been to hire a cook to work there. Because his quirk relied heavily on the amount of fat stored up in his body, it was important to have a constant source of food available. Snacks and small meals between and during patrols did little to keep him fully powered, so finding someone who could meet his extreme dietary needs was of the upmost importance.
The first few people he’d brought onto his team hadn’t worked out so well. Even though he had no complaints about their food, they just couldn’t seem to keep up with his immense appetite. They got too caught up in the presentation, plus the portions were just too small. When the BMI hero finally hired you right out of culinary school, he was relieved to find your approach to his food conundrum much more satisfying.
He never had to worry about going hungry when he got into his agency anymore. Not only did you made sure there was plenty of food readily available for him, but you also kept his diet balanced with healthy foods that contained enough calories to fatten him up for his patrols. The food itself kept Taishiro’s stomach happy and full, but the effort and care you put into your work definitely started having an effect on his heart too after a while. Your dedication to keeping him in top shape drew his attention until he found himself starting to look forward more to seeing and talking to you than even eating your delicious food.
Taishiro wasn’t the type to lie to himself about his feelings. He knew perfectly well that he’d developed a little crush on you. He wasn’t exactly sure how to go about confessing though, or if he even should. His schedule didn’t leave much time for dating, and he didn’t want to start something if he wasn’t going to be able to dote on you the way he was starting to desperately want to.
Little did he know, on the other side of things, you were struggling to deal with the feelings you had for him too. You had always thought your boss was a nice guy, but after seeing his jolly and friendly behavior every day, you couldn’t help the crush that had creeped up on you. You tried your best to put it out of your mind, assuming there was no way a great hero like Taishiro could return your feelings. It wasn’t as if he did anything to make you feel otherwise. He was as kind and encouraging to you as anyone else you’d seen him interact with. It was just that you knew the nature of your job made your personality come off a bit too overbearing to really spark a romance. You constantly berated yourself after each and every interaction you had with him, physically cringing as you remembered the nagging comments you’d made.
“I know you need the calories for your quirk, Taishiro, but don’t forget to eat some fruits and vegetables too.”
“Eat another bowl of rice, Taishiro. You never know when you’ll need that little extra push when fighting a villain.”
“Taishiro, don’t forget to take the leftovers with you in case you get hungry out there! It’s better for you than all that street food you’re always picking up on patrol.”
When you thought about it, you really pestered him way too much. Sure, it was your job to feed him, but still, he was a grown man. He didn’t need you bothering or lecturing like he was some kind of kid. The only reason you even acted the way you did was because you cared and worried about him, but how it came across was probably annoying and patronizing. This is why you were confident he’d never like you the way you liked him.
Eventually, the combination of your feelings for him and the concern over his impression of you becomes too much and you decide to confront him. You get to the agency early one day and make him some fresh jelly filled donuts.
“Hey! You hardly ever make stuff like this!” Taishiro chuckles, “What’s the occasion?”
“It’s my way of saying thank you for putting up with me,” you shrug awkwardly. “I know I’m a bit of a nag sometimes.” Your words take the hero by surprise.
“I don’t think you’re a nag at all!” He sounded upset to hear you say that. “I hope I never gave you the idea that I did.”
“No,” you shake your head. “You didn’t… I just figured you were nice to me just to be polite.”
“What?” Taishiro shakes his head, “You couldn’t be further from the truth. If I’m being honest, I’ve actually developed quite the soft spot for you.” You look up into his eyes, a feeling of hope spreading through you.
“Yeah,” Taishiro laughs and scratches the back of his head bashfully. “I guess you could say I have a bit of a crush on you.” The conversation had definitely taken an unexpected turn, and you couldn’t be happier.
“I…” You hesitate for a moment but then give in. “I have a crush on you too! I have for a while. I never dreamed you could feel the same way.” The smile that stretched across the hero’s face warmed your heart.
“How could I not feel the same way?” He chuckles while patting his large belly. “I’ve never met anyone else who could keep both my stomach and my heart so full.” His words were music to your ears. And now that you both were on the same page about your feelings, you could sit down together and start discussing important questions about the future, like where he was going to take you on your first date.
 MIRIO
 Getting a job as a server at the mundane little diner on the outskirts of town had only meant to be a temporary gig to help you save up some extra money for school. Your campus was just a short train ride from the restaurant, and your apartment was even closer. It wasn’t glamorous or anything, but it paid the bills. Besides, it was just a stepping stone in the path to your dream job, so you were more than willing to deal with it until a bigger more fulfilling opportunity came along.
 What you hadn’t expected after starting the job was that you’d be terrible at it. You didn’t realized how bad your short term memory was until you found yourself forgetting people’s orders, or taking meals to the wrong tables. If that wasn’t bad enough, you also had a hard time balancing plates of food and were always dropping glasses and silverware accidentally. Luckily, your boss was a pretty chill and forgiving person and hadn’t felt the need to fire you yet. You really didn’t want to go through the trouble of finding another job, so you continued doing the best you could each and every day.
A few weeks after being hired, you started to feel the tiniest bit more confident about your abilities as a server. At the very least, you were getting better at remembering orders. Thankfully, there were a lot of regulars that got the same things every time which made your job easier. You were just starting to get into a comfortable routine when life decided to throw you a curveball. There was no way you could stop yourself from tripping over your own feet and almost spilling some poor customers breakfast all over the floor when you saw the pro hero, Le Million, walk into the diner with one of his hero friends. Thankfully you managed not to fall on your face or drop any food. Your relief was short lived, however, when Le Million walked right over and took a seat at a table in your section.
You knew it was going to be a disaster as soon as you walked over and forgot what you should even do. Being so close to Le Million was triggering a meltdown in your brain. He was your favorite hero and you honestly had a huge crush on him. Having him looking right at you with those cheerful blue eyes and wide friendly smile was extremely overwhelming.
“Uh…” You stood there blankly with the pen and pad in your hand.
“I think we’re going to start with something to drink!” Le Million speaks up with a light laugh which sparks you back to life.
“Ok, right!” you shake your head and try to focus. “What’ll you have?”
“I’ll have coffee,” he says before gesturing to his companion. “I think you usually take hot green tea right?” The friend nods so you write the order down.
“A hot green tea and a coffee for Le Million,” you mumble without meaning to.
“Oh, I’m on my lunch break!” he corrects you with a grin. “So, you can call me Mirio.”
“Right,” you nod excitedly. “Mirio”
You do your best to function as you continue to serve him. You somehow bring black tea instead of green, but Mirio just waves off the mistake with a wave of his hand. You swear you write down the correct order for him word for word, but humiliation consumes you when his friend points out that there were tomatoes on his hamburger even though he’d asked for none. You offer to bring him a new plate but he tells you it’s unnecessary. He doesn’t even pick off the tomatoes before taking a huge bite.
When Mirio and his friend finally leave, you feel yourself deflate. You were thankful the embarrassing experience was over, but part of you wished you’d made a better impression. The universe must’ve been out for you because the next day, it decided to grace you with a second chance. Mirio walked back into your diner with his friend, taking the same table as the day before. You tried to do a better job at serving him this time but you still fumbled a few things. This continued for a few weeks. For some reason, Mirio kept coming back and sitting in your section. You had no idea why since he must be sick of your horrible service by now. You tried to think of a logical explanation for a while, but always came up empty.
“Um, Mirio,” you tell him one day as he hands you the money to pay for his bill. “I know I’m not the best server in the world, so you don’t have to sit in my section every time.”
“But then I wouldn’t get to talk to you!” Mirio replies instantly, looking taken aback by your words.
“Oh,” you hadn’t expected a response like that. “But I always mess up your order.”
“That’s all right!” Mirio perks back up, “As long as you keep doing your best, that’s what matters! Plus, I’ve been sort of biding my time, looking for the right moment to ask for your number. I think you’re really cute.” He winces a little bit as if preparing for rejection. The confession startles you and you somehow end up missing his hand while giving back his change, causing coins to scatter across the counter. Mirio just smiles and helps you pick it all up.
“I can really give you my number?” you ask in shock once the money is back in his hands.
“Yeah!” He assures you, “As long as I’m allowed to call it!” You felt yourself blush, but managed to stay calm enough to grab a napkin and scribble your number down. Mirio thanked you before heading out with his hero friend to go back on patrol. It was less than a minute later when your phone buzzed in your pocket with a message from your hero crush.
It said, “I can’t wait to see you again tomorrow!”
You’re still in a state of shock as you hug your phone to your chest. You’d initially taken the diner job as a way to save money for school, but maybe fate had brought you here for something else entirely.
"Babe, are you okay?" You looked at Spencer grabbing your second coffee of the day from the small kitchenette. "You look a little pale."
You leaned against the counter, taking in the smell of fresh-brewed coffee. "Spence," You put a hand on his arm. "I'm fine." You assured him.
"Morning lovebirds," Morgan called as he walked into the bullpen with his arm around Garcia. Just a few months ago you told you the team that you and Spencer were seeing each other and Derek made it his second job to tease you and Spencer about it. You never bothered you in fact you found it weirdly cute.
"Please tell me there is more coffee because I have donuts!" Emily said, walking in holding two boxes of donuts.
"Oh!" Spencer cheered, you slightly winced at his voice. "Did you happen to get any-?"
"Chocolate frosted with sprinkles? How could I forget your favourite?" Emily said, putting the boxes down as everyone dove in the boxes.
"Good morning!" JJ cheered, holding her go-to bag and her mug of coffee. "Oh, donuts!" She said rushing over.
"Pretty girl?" Morgan said. "Don't you want any? This sweet honey glazed donut is yelling your name," He motioned towards the box.
"Nah," You shook your head. "I'm okay."
"Since when do you refuse donuts? You love donuts," Morgan was right, you had a major sweet tooth and donuts were always your thing. You considered donuts to be your comfort food.
"I know," You said. "For today I'll stick to this protein bar," You said, walking to your desk. You sat down and started on the stack of paperwork.
Three more cups of coffees and hours later, you felt your head starting to pound, the bright fluorescent lights above you weren't helping at all. You put your head in your hands and closed your eyes.
You were so tired last night that you and Spencer got into bed as soon as you stepped foot into the apartment but the only problem was while Spencer slept peacefully you couldn't get in a blink of sleep. You kept twisting and turning, sometimes feeling too hot or too cold.
Now you found yourself rubbing your temples trying to soothe the pain. To the right of you JJ, Emily, Garcia, Morgan, and Spencer were all loudly arguing about the Bermuda triangle. You tried to shut out their voices but every second you tried the louder their voices got louder.
You couldn't take it anymore so you snapped. "Can you all please shut up, please?!”
The team looked over at you, all of them in shock because you were known to be a very quiet and reserved person, you never raised your voice.
"Woah," Morgan said. "You could have just asked politely, pretty girl," Morgan laughs. "Someone’s a little snappy this morning," Morgan was referring to something you may have said earlier that came out in the wrong tone of voice.
You push your chair out slightly and straighten your legs, you put your forehead down on the table, the cold table feeling good.
You felt someone crouch down beside you but kept your eyes shut.
"Your not okay, are you?" You heard Spencer say softly. You didn't say anything, your hands were wrapped around your head blocking out the lights and it felt amazing. "I'm going to tell Hotch that we're heading home for the day," You lifted your head to stop Spencer but as soon as the lights were beaming down on you, you winced in pain.
"No," You say. "I'm fine. It's just a small headache."
Spencer grabbed your hands. "It's not a headache. Y/n, you're having a migraine," You didn't want to admit it but Spencer was right you were having a migraine and it was bad. "How many times have I told you to tell me when you're having migraines?" He asked. "Y/N, migraines aren't a small thing. I know exactly how they feel."
All your life people always thought you were overacting when you told them how bad your migraines were until you met Spencer and found out he also had them. You were sort of relieved in a way knowing you weren’t alone. You two always took care of each other.
"I didn't want you to worry."
"Well, I am worried now because you look like you're in so much pain and I don't like seeing you in pain, you know that."
"I know," You responded. "I'm sorry."
"Give me two minutes and I'm gonna go and speak with Hotch."
"But I have all this paperwork to finish," You motioned to the stack of paperwork on your desk.
"The paperwork is always going to be there. I'll be right back," With that Spencer left for Hotch's office.
You stood up and walked towards the group. "I'm sorry for snapping at you guys, I didn't mean to."
"It's alright pretty girl," Morgan assured you.
"Are you not feeling well?" JJ asked.
"I've never told anybody but Spence this," You breathe. "But ever since I was 10 years old I get really bad migraines. It takes me days to fully recover from them. Today is the first one I've had in months and it's starting to take the best of me."
"Oh," Garcia said, "You poor thing. We're so sorry for being loud," Garcia hugged you.
"It's not your fault. You didn't know," You said.
"Well, some people don't know how to use their indoor voices," Garcia smacked Morgan's shoulder.
"Ouch baby girl, that was uncalled for."
"Your loud-ass voice, hurt our baby angel's head," Garcia said.
Baby angel was a nickname Garcia had for you from the day you started working alongside this team. You don't remember where it came from but you liked it, a lot.
"I wasn't the only one talking loudly," Morgan argued.
"Chocolate thunder, we were using our indoor loud voices. You were using your outdoor loud voice." She explains.
"Alright," Spencer said, walking towards you. "Let's go home," Spencer grabbed the files off of your desk and his and shoved them into his satchel.
"Okay."
"I need everyone in the round table in two minutes. We have a case," You turn around hearing Hotch's voice.
Before you could say anything Spencer moved in front of you.
"Wrong way beautiful,”  He said, putting his Stachel on.
"Spence," You said. "We have a case,” You said pointing to Hotch.
"No," He said. "The team has a case," Everyone laughs at your reaction. "You and I are going home."
"But I wan-"
"Nope," Spencer shook his head, taking your hand in his and dragging you before you could continue to protest.
"I just want everyone to know that I'm being taken against my will." You yelled across the room and everyone laughed. "Please be safe! Love you guys." You say as Spencer guides you towards the elevator.
You squinted at the lights in the elevator.
"Baby, wear your sunglasses," Spencer said, kissing your hand.
"It was the worst day to forget them."
"I always tell you to keep your sunglasses on you Y/N," Spencer said, digging into his satchel and handing you his spare pair.
"You said you only keep one pair of sunglasses?" You said as you put on his sunglasses.
"I always keep an extra pair in here for you."
"You’re the sweetest baby," You said kissing his cheek.
The car ride was silent because you fell asleep the second you leaned back in your seat. Spencer drove in silence, occasionally looking at you, frowning wondering how much pain you've must have been in the last couple of hours and he didn't know.
"Y/N," Spencer opened your door and unbuckled your seat belt.
You groaned in response. "Baby come on, we're home," You mumbled something but Spencer couldn't tell what you said so he wrapped your bag around his shoulder, picked up you in bride style, and closed the car door with his foot.
When he finally reached the apartment he fiddled with his key, jamming into the lock and getting the door open. He shut it quickly with his foot and headed straight for the bedroom. He gently placed you down, draping the blanket over you.
He dropped his satchel and your bag to the floor and walked to the kitchen to get you some Tylenol and water. When he walked back in the room he noticed that you were awake.
"When did we get home?" You asked, rubbing your head.
"I tried to wake up but you completely ignored me and continued sleeping," You chuckled as Spencer handed you the pill and the glass of water.
"Well, I'm sorry you felt ignored." You washed the pill down with water.
"I didn't feel ignored. I was glad you got some shut-eye." You put the glass down. "You didn't sleep last night, did you?"
"I was so tired but no matter how much I tried, I just couldn't sleep."
"You should have woken me up." Spencer rubbed your thigh, in a comforting way.
"\You looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake you up," Spencer shook his head at you.
"Are you hungry? Do you want me to make you something to eat? Maybe some che-"
"I just want you to hold me," You answered, simply.
"You should eat something before you sleep."
"I'm not hungry."
"Ba-"
"Spence please I'm not hungry. Just hold me," You said.
"Okay," Spencer climbed onto his side of the bed, and you laid your head in his lap, as Spencer pulled the blanket, wrapping it around his legs and you.
"You're the comfiest pillow ever," You mumbled as you felt your eyes starting to get heavy.
"I'm glad I bring you comfort," Spencer smiled down at you, running his hand through your hair.
"Oh my god," You groaned.
"What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.
"Your fingers are a god-given gift," You said. "Continue, please."
"So I've been told," Spencer spoke, causing your cheeks to blush as you pushed the blanket further up to your face. "I love you,” He laughed, kissing your temple.
"I love you too." You mumbled.
Can you do HCs of Shinsou, Amajiki, Bakugo; teen!Aizawa with a South African s/o who has people saying some annoying comments to her just bc she's from Africa. Like someone says that they're sorry that she struggled with poverty (girl is from a super wealthy family that can buy their family), or say some gibberish with clicks and asks her to translate (s/o can speak five languages: English, Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans, and Japanese; understand others. Xhosa has clicks). They ask her if she had...
cont’d request: Pt.II - to hunt for her food (Umm, no. Cape Town has supermarkets and she knows what pizza and Japanese food is, guys). Someone just can't believe that South Africa has TV and internet, while s/o literally has a cell phone with all of the social media and has friends/family from South Africa. When class is over, someone asks why isn't she wearing "African" clothes (bc Africa is country, not a continent) when s/o is just wearing basic clothes. People be stupid.
“Don’t Be Stupid” - Headcannon for Shinsou, Tamaki, Bakugou, and teen!Aizawa
Hey! Thanks for requesting! Hope this is okay :)
Pairings: Shinsou, Tamaki, Bakugou, teen!Aizawa x reader Pronouns: she/her Warnings: ignorance, cursing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hitoshi didn’t really give a flying fuck about what others thought, mainly because most of the time people didn’t even want to be around him because of his “villain quirk”
But just because he didn’t care what they thought about him, doesn’t mean he wouldn’t fuck somebody up if they messed with you
Shinsou is a quiet guy for the most part, but he was super perceptive
So when he heard that the little ballsack haired toddler from class 1-A was spreading rumors about you, he was angry
You had no problem explaining to people about your home country of South Africa, especially if they asked nicely
But one day when you were walking past Class 1-A when school had just ended, intent on meeting your boyfriend outside to go walk to the park together, you heard Mineta spewing shit about you and South Africa
“Yeah they’re a bunch of savages over there! They literally hunt for food with spears and everyone is poor and they use goats as money.” Mineta said
You stood by the door to see what they were going to say before you chimed in and told them what South Africa was actually like.
“Mineta that’s literally cap and you know it.” Kaminari chimed in with a roll of his eyes.
He had been spending so much time around you and Shinsou that he started even using your slang unconsciously.
It made you smile a bit.
“Kaminari you’re dumb as rocks. How would you know?” Mineta defended himself.
“Anyways, apparently because they’re so poor they steal a lot too. Maybe that’s why my jacket went missing after I was around (y/n)...Like I said they’re a bunch of savages, she probably doesn’t know any better.”
Now it was time for you to chime in.
“Why the fuck would I want your ratty ass jacket anyway? I don’t steal and that’s not what South Africa is like. Denki knows because I told him about it. I’m not poor, I just don’t flaunt my wealth, and if you really want to know I could buy your entire family with my own net worth.” You remarked, crossing your arms over your chest with a huff.
Bakugou sat in the corner watching the whole exchange with a small smirk on his face...he enjoyed confrontation too much.
“Oh and we do have supermarkets where we buy our food from.” You add as an after thought. “If you wanted to know about South Africa, you should’ve just asked like a normal person instead of spewing shit. Have a nice day.” You left the classroom after that a smile growing on your face as you heard Kaminari and Kirishima scold Mineta for talking shit behind your back.
Yeah...that was the last time he did that because after Shinsou heard what happened he found Mineta the next day and threatened him so bad he peed his diaper.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tamaki was a pretty reserved guy and when you two began dating it surprised mostly everyone because you two were so different
Honestly, Tamaki literally looked at you like a goddess and it annoyed him when people were just plain ignorant
Usually when he was annoyed he would rant to you about it or Mirio or Nejire, and then he would go sit in a corner blushing about how he feared he was oversharing
PLS HE’S SO CUTE
um...N E WAYS...
You had been a transfer into the class when they were second years after your father decided to expand his international company to Japan, meaning you had to leave your home in South Africa
You were upset at first but you quickly made friends with the Big Three and Leonardo Subarashi, who was also from South Africa.
So it came as a surprise when one of your friends, Tsuki Vinsmoke started talking shit about your homeland even when two of her friends were from there
“They literally live in huts with dirt floors. Maybe that’s why they’re so dirty and poor.” Tsuki laughed with two of her bitch friends, standing right near you
You turned to look at her with a frown on your face, practically daring her to say something else.
“I don’t even know how those two got here. They don’t even have phone service over there.”
“Hey (y/n)?” She said a little louder, as you turned around again, placing your pencil down and momentarily ignoring your school work.
“What Tsuki?”
“Why don’t you wear African clothes? Like those weird scarves and cloths or whatever? Are you ashamed that you came from dirt poor people? I would be.” Tsuki wore a nasty smile on her face as her eyes seemed to sparkle with malice.
“There’s no such thing as African clothes Tsuki. People wear the same clothes here that they do in South Africa...why would I be ashamed of such a culturally rich homeland? I’m proud to be South African, and besides I’d suggest you do some research before you start talking to me about being poor, especially since I’m way richer than you.” You gave a fake sincere smile before glancing over at Tamaki and your friends who gave you a thumbs up as if to say Destroy her.
So you did...in the end you got sent to Principal Nezu’s office after you made her cry and she lied to your teacher saying you had threatened her life like a dirty savage
Tamaki had to hold you back with some help from Mirio before you decked her
Nezu didn’t really care and gave you a donut from the order that had been in his office before sending you back to class
Needless to say, Tsuki got suspended for being racist and perpetuating a hateful environment in the classroom and nobody else messed with you, not even her little friends who sucked up to you after Tsuki went on suspension.
Why would anyone even bother saying stupid shit about you when you were just as hot headed as your explosive boyfriend? I don’t know, but they did
Of course everyone from class 1-A was smart enough not to start anything, but it seems Monoma wasn’t as smart
The annoying overly entitled blonde from class 1-B, had started out by asking you simple questions about your homeland, things like:
“What’s it like there?”, “Is it always sunny?”, “Have you seen a rhino or lion before?”
Then they started getting kind of ignorant and annoying.
“Hey (y/n)? Can you speak African?”
“No Monoma because Africa is a continent made up of many countries, each with their own languages.” You explained, wasn’t he supposed to be smart? “What are you doing Monoma?” You asked, with a raised eyebrow as he started to make strange noises at you.
“Shit for Brains, leave us the fuck alone.” Bakugou grumbled from beside you after he finished chewing his food.
“It’s you language right? Can you understand what I said?”
“No dumbfuck. You sounded like a dolphin.” You remarked as a few of your friends laughed lightly.
“I’m surprised you understand...I heard your people aren’t very smart...you know products of their environment, it’s unfortunate really. I’m sorry that you lived in such poverty, but you should consider yourself lucky, now you get to live in dorms and sleep in a real bed and not on a dirt floor.” Monoma went on and on and you were growing increasingly annoyed as you friends sat there in shocked silence.
“You know what Monoma?” You said with a fake smile as you spun around. “I’ve never met anyone as ignorant and stupid as you. I’m not poor and I never was, I slept in a real bed with an actually comfortable mattress unlike the ones here, and I much smarter than you ever will be I speak five fucking languages and I can understand more than that in others. Would you like me to tell you to fuck off in another language since you can’t seem to understand Japanese?” You asked as you raised your eyebrows with your arms crossed over your chest, as if waiting for his answer.
He stayed silent.
“That’s what I thought. Maybe you are smart after all?” You added teasingly, watching him be dragged back to his table by Kendo.
Shota Aizawa never really had many friends, usually more laidback than others were comfortable with, but the ones he did have were the complete opposites of him
Hizashi and Shirakumo were loud pranksters, while you and Midnight were talkative and enjoyed messing with him.
Most of the time he ignored the pigheaded bully that was Sensoji, because he usually only picked on Shota, but when Sensoji realized that you were Aizawa’s real weakness, he started to hound you.
And Shota was NOT having that
It all came to a head after he battled against Shota during a training session.
“Your useless just like your quirk Aizawa.” Sensoji sneered at your boyfriend, glaring down at him.
“Your nothing but a waste of space.” Sensoji added seeing the way that his insults didn’t really phase Shota.
“Hey leave him alone! What is wrong with you!” You intervened pushing the broad shouldered boy away from Shota.
“What are you that weak that you need your little safari ass backwoods girlfriend to save your ass?” Sensoji laughed along with one of his equally stupid Class 1-B classmates.
“Don’t fucking talk about her!” Shota yelled back, his eyes glowing as if it was a warning.
“Or what? It’s not like she’ll understand? People like her back in her country of Africa are stupid as fuck. They build their homes out of oversized tin cans and they don’t even have phones.”
“Sensoji you’re the stupid one! Africa is... A CONTINENT NOT A COUNTRY!” Hizashi jumped in, activating his quirk halfway through his sentence.
“And they don’t live in tin cans.” Midnight added.
“I live in a nice home, one that’s probably bigger than yours. Just admit that you’re jealous of Shota and me and move on!” You pressed your finger into his chest on each word, glaring at him as if to say say something else and see what happens.
“Grow up!” Shota and Shirakumo added before Sensoji rushed away when he saw the teachers coming over to see what you all were arguing about.
“Yeah that’s what I thought! Run away like a little bitch!” You added with a growing smile.
“Language (y/n)!” Your teacher scolded, but even that couldn’t bring down your smile as you, your boyfriend, and your friends laughed about the incident.
You all still even joked about it years later.
I Can’t Keep Pretending (Charlie Gillespie x Original Character)
Disclaimer: This is a FICITONAL writing piece! In no way do I claim characters in this piece act this way in real life.
Masterlist *now taking requests ;)
I can’t keep pretending (Charlie Gillespie x Original Character)
“Happy birthday-...Charlie?”
“Cadence?”
Both people stood at Owen’s door, speechless and shocked to see one another. After a beat and a pause, the air grew uncomfortable and awkward as they stood there staring at each other.
“Charlie, who is it?” Owen called from the Kitchen, shaking Charlie out of his trance. He motioned for Cadence to enter the apartment, who rushed over to Owen and gave him a big hug.
“Cady! So good to see you!” Owen gave her a bone crushing hug and lifted her off her feet as he hugged her, something he enjoyed as she was quite short. “I thought you were leaving today!”
“I am! I was on my way to the airport and I wanted to stop by and give you your birthday gift” Cadence handed him a beautifully wrapped rectangle box, which Owen opened up eagerly. All the while, Charlie stood awkwardly in the background, never really straying far from the front door, watching the interaction between the two. “Figured that since you were going to start shooting for season 2, these would come in handy” Owen pulled out two drumsticks and flickered light when they made contact with each other.
“You are the bestest friend ever!” He gave her another bear hug, thanking her for the gift.
“I thought I was your best friend?” Charlie pouted, something which Cadence softly rolled her eyes to.
Owen and Cadence had been friends since they were 5 years old, as she was the first friend Owen made when he moved back to America from Germany. The two went to school together and eventually were homeschooled together when Owen pursued acting and Cadence pursued figure skating and dance. Being next door neighbours helped build their friendship too. Even when Owen scored his first gig as Crispo, Cadence was offered a spot on the Junior Olympic team and had to move to LA. Their mothers loved the timing and the two friends couldn’t complain, but as they grew older, their careers would often take them to different places. Owen lived in between Oklahoma and California, while Cadence ended up living between California and Canada. Even though their careers were taking them in different directions, they always made time for one another.
That’s how Cadence met Charlie.
When Owen started filming Julie and the Phantoms, he often visited Cadence when she was free, since she was training in Vancouver at the time. Naturally, Cadence met the cast and they all became friends very quickly, which led them to spend a lot of time together. Her and Charlie naturally hit it off as she loved everything to do with skating and he loved hockey. The connection over the ice rink evolved into commonalities with favorite TV shows and soon everyone around them disappeared. Not that anyone minded! To be honest, everyone, including Owen, thought it was a matter of time before the two got together. Cadence was calm, poised and controlled, while Charlie was the opposite. They pulled out the best in each other and when they broke up, their friends mourned over the end of their relationship too. It didn’t help that it wasn’t a pretty break up either.
“You are my best friend Charlie, but you’re more like a bro, y’know?” Charlie smiled and Owen’s phone began to ring. “It’s my mom, let me take this call!” and without a thought disappeared into his room, leaving Cadence and Charlie alone.
“So, how have you been?” Cadence couldn’t handle awkward silences and she silently cursed Owen, knowing he knew how she felt about Charlie. “Working on any new projects?”
“Other than Julie and the Phantoms, nothing is coming up. But I did do a fun Netflix short film type thing, so there’s that” He sat down on one side of the couch and Cadence followed, sitting on the other side. She sat straight, hands in her lap, shoulders a little stiff. He sat hunched over, hands linked together, shoulders sagging. “How about you? Owen said you qualified for 2022 Winter Olympics”
“Yeah, I did. Just training for that really.” another awkward pause, both people looking for something to say. “Are you excited to start filming?”
“Yeah. I mean it’s been a while and we’re excited to get on board, so there’s that...” Anyone could tell that Charlie was looking for some way to prolong his response so that there were no more empty spaces, but how could they so that since the last time they saw each other was when they broke up? Especially when it was something that people talked about for weeks...
***
Charlie drank way too much that night. A combination of work stress and missing Cadence had gotten to be a little too much, resulting in one too many drinks and a few poor judgement calls later. Some girl at the bar had wanted his attention and Charlie couldn’t help but think she looked a lot like Cadence. Next thing he knew, she was giving him hickeys and making out with him, something Charlie didn’t fight at the beginning. However, in the drunken haze, he had a moment of clarity where he pushed the girl off of him and walked home to clear his head. He would have to explain this to Cadence because he felt guilty about it, but he was sure she would understand.
Charlie found out the fastest way to sober up that night and it involved Cadence standing in the living room with a box of Tim Horton’s donuts, looking confused, shocked and heartbroken. Charlie then became painfully aware of the hickeys decorating his neck and the fact that he was stumbling into his apartment at 2am didn’t help his case.
“Cadence? I thought you were in Vancouver for the rest of the week?” he saw her grip on the box of donuts tighten.
“I wanted to surprise you” her voice wavered, and she took careful deep breaths to stop the tears from falling. “Should I even ask?”
“Cadence I swear, it’s not what it looks like. I had a little too much to drink-”
“If it’s not what it looks like, then what is it Charlie?” he stood there speechless and stuttered to come up with an explanation. No matter what way Charlie tried to recount the events of the night, each version sounded worse than the previous version. “So you drank too much, saw a girl that looked like me, made out with her, even though you knew I was in Vancouver?”
Charlie couldn’t speak because she recounted the events of the nights exactly as they happened. He didn’t know what else to say. “I’m sorry Cadence”
“Sorry isn’t going to cut it Charlie. I’ve been working my butt off and to come home to see you like this?! I knew being apart was hard on us, but if you wanted out of the relationship Charlie, I thought you would have the decency to break up with me and not cheat on me!” the tears spilled over and Charlie’s heart broke. He had never seen her cry and he hated being the reason for the first time that he did. She placed the box of donuts on the counter and picked up her duffle bag that she had brought with her. “I’m going to stay with Savannah. Don’t bother calling me when you’re sober”
***
“You guys, my mom is the sweetest! She dressed up Bindi in a birthday hat to sing happy birthday to me!” Owen walked back into the main living area, breaking the awkward silence that had settled between them.
“Hey O, I gotta head out and catch my flight back to LA. My driver’s out front waiting. I just wanted to stop by and wish you happy birthday” Cadence got up quickly walking to hug the man, who gave her a big hug in return. Charlie stood up as well, not sure what to do with his body. The two friends headed for the door and gave each other one last hug.
“Thank you for stopping by! Congratulations again on qualifying future Mrs. Mathias-Perez” Owen yelled down the hall smiling and closing the door. He turned to Charlie to discuss what the plans were for the evening, but stopped when he saw the look of shock, confusion and anger on his face.
“She’s engaged? To that guy she’s been with for six months?” Charlie couldn’t figure out if he was mad or upset or both. Sure, it had been a year since they were together, but surely anyone would agree that six months was way too early for an engagement! “Owen, you don’t even like the guy! How could you let her get engaged?!”
“Charlie, she’s happy. For the first time in a long time, she is happy. I haven’t seen her this happy since she was with you. Sure, I may not like the guy, but she deserves to be happy. If he makes her happy then who am I to take that away from her?” Owen tried to empathize with Charlie, but knowing how the relationship went down and how he was a part of both peoples’ recovery process, he couldn’t take this away from her. “Plus, I thought you didn’t care anymore Charlie”
It was true. Charlie acted like he didn’t care that Cadence broke up with him and tried to be very nonchalant about it. For the most part, he kept up this facade, when in reality it was how he was coping. He didn’t want to admit that he messed up and was the one in the wrong, but he also knew there would be no one else like Cadence.
“I don’t. I just think it’s a little messed up, that’s all.” Charlie tried to shrug it off, hoping Owen would drop it. “Anyways Birthday Boy, what’s the plan?”
***
Owen knew that neither one of them were over each other. He knew that Cadence getting engaged was Cadence trying to fill the void to forget about Charlie. He sat with her in person or over the phone every time she cried about it. He knew how much she loved Charlie and when he broke her heart, Owen watched her as she tried to pick up the pieces. He was there for all of her sleepless nights where she would toss and turn and relive that night that she left Charlie’s apartment.
Owen was also there for Charlie. He knew that Charlie’s attitude was a self-defense mechanism to ward off any attention about how he truly felt about losing Cadence, but one night he got a little too drunk and confessed to his group of friends how he really felt. Charlie didn’t remember pouring his heart out to his friends, so they kept it quiet, choosing to remain friends with both of them, but respecting the fact that they didn’t want to see each other.
Their friends became hopeful three months after their relationship when they agreed to celebrate Savannah’s birthday as a big group. It was that night that Charlie and Cadence spoke for the first time about what happened, and while no one was there to hear the conversation. They agreed that the most they could be were simply friends, even though the feelings were still there. They didn’t talk to each other unless they saw each other at a mutual friend’s gathering, and even then it was never just the two of them. They said the odd occasional happy birthday on the group chat with friends, but never addressed each other via text or call. They kept the relationship very platonic and a ‘contact only when necessary’ method.
One can imagine how surprised Charlie was when he received a fancy invitation inviting him to her engagement party. At first, Charlie felt like it was an attack, stating that she was happier without him, but then he realized that she really meant it when she said that she wanted to be friends. This is what friends do. They invite each other to celebrate monumental moments in their lives with them. Yet Charlie felt his stomach dropped as the engagement really sank in. Cadence was moving on and he missed his chance.
He really debated as to whether or not he would go, but Owen finally convinced him that he had to go or else he would confirm everyone’s suspicion that he still loved Cadence and that he was bitter that she was moving on. No matter which way he looked at it, his absence would be felt among his friends and Cadence. Therefore, he put on his best semi-formal attire and headed to the event in Malibu with Owen. He was grateful that his other friends were there as it eased the tension a bit and helped distract him from only thinking about Cadence. However, he couldn’t stop himself from being concerned when Cadence’s husband-to-be pulled Owen aside to whisper in his ear. The look on Owen’s face meant something was up and Charlie couldn’t help but sneakily follow him. Charlie hid around the corner and peaked at his friend who was knocking urgently on the door.
“Cady, open up, it’s Owen!” he kept knocking at the door but no one answered. “Cady come on, I can hear you crying in there. Let me in” again no answer, causing Owen to sigh in frustration. He saw Owen exchange some quiet words with her fiancé, who nodded as both of them walked away, Charlie quickly hiding himself, in hopes that he wouldn’t be seen. He couldn’t tell you why he followed them, or why he walked up to the door after they had left, or why he softly knocked, but Cadence opened the door at his knock not expecting to see him. Before she could protest or ask him anything, he gently pushed her back into the room and shut the door behind him, locking it again.
“What are you doing here?” she sniffled, turning to the mirror dabbing her eyes. This was the second time he saw her cry.
“I should be asking you that question” she scoffed at his remark and felt the tears spilling over again. Charlie didn't say a single thing and sat down on the love seat. Looking around the room, he could tell it was just a small powder room for the guests to use for some quiet time or for a mother to nurse. He watched as Cadence paced the room wiping her tears, waiting patiently for her to speak and desperately trying to come up with what to do. “Y’alright?”
“I’m totally fine!!!” she yelled at him exasperatedly. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you” he chuckled at her apology
“It’s fine. I deserve it” this caused a small smile to appear on her face. “Wanna talk about it?” At first she shook her head and paced around the room some more, but finally caved. She plopped down beside him on the love seat, head in her hands.
“I have the most wonderful fiancé who has been there for me and who has made me feel happy again. I should be the happiest person in the world, but I’m not. Girls would kill to have him as a husband and here I am feeling like I am making the biggest mistake of my life.” she sniffed some more and Charlie passed her a Kleenex.
“Why’s that?” he inched closer to her and started rubbing her back. It was something he did when he knew she was upset because it brought her comfort. Apparently this was something he shouldn’t have done because Cadence shot up from the couch and stomped away from him.
“Because I still love you!” she turned around and faced him, tears falling down her face. “I don’t understand why! You made out with another girl at a bar drunk because you missed me! I should be mad at you and I should think that you’re the scum of the earth! Yet, I continue to be friends with you and see you around with our friends, and I have to keep pretending like I don’t think of you! I have to pretend that I don’t miss you anymore! Wishing that you asked me to marry me and not him!” she slapped her hand over her mouth as soon as the phrase left her mouth. “I didn’t mean that... I’m not thinking straight... I’m just stressed and under a lot of pressure” Charlie was sure she was saying this to herself, making it even more obvious that she was not confident about going through with the engagement.
 “Cady take a deep breath. You’re going to trigger a panic attack at this rate” she followed his orders and sat back down beside him. He wrapped an arm around her, rubbing her arm in hopes to soothe her. She leaned her head on his shoulder, the silence filling the room once again.
“Do you still love me?” The desperation in her voice was unlike anything Charlie had ever heard from her. It was as if she was begging to hear the answer. He opened and closed his mouth several times, thinking about what he wanted to say, ultimately settling for the truth.
“I never stopped. I’ve regretted every moment.” The two sat there in silence, letting his answer sink in. “I can’t ask you to forgive me because I don’t deserve it. I can’t ask you to be with me because I know how much I hurt you. I have debated over and over about whether or not I should try to convince you to give me another chance, but Owen was right. He was able to make you happy again after I crushed you. Who was I to stop you from moving on?”
The door suddenly opened and in the doorway stood Owen and Cadence’s fiancé a little out of breath, but holding the key to the room. A look of shock and happiness crossed Owen’s face, but confusion and hurt crossed her fiancé’s face. Both of them rose quickly, Cadence wiping away her tears and fixing her dress, Charlie taking one big step away from her.
“Hi Darling. Charlie was looking for the bathroom and ran into me in the hallway. I was just feeling overwhelmed, but he was able to talk me down from an anxiety attack.” Cadence knew that was the stupidest excuse for what just happened, but Charlie took that as a cue to leave, Owen following suit, leaving the two to discuss in private.
“You alright man?” Owen asked patting Charlie on the back.
“Yeah. Uh, I think I need to head home. Pretty sure her fiancé doesn’t want me here any more. Cover for me? I don’t want to cause a scene” Owen nodded understandingly. He could tell that more transpired between Cadence and Charlie than what they were letting off.
Charlie drove home, knowing that Owen could easily catch a ride with one of their other friends. He drove from Malibu to LA with the windows down blasting music, lost in his own thoughts. He would give anything to have a second chance with Cadence, but he knew that sometimes you mess up so badly, that you don’t deserve that second chance. He couldn’t blame her for the choices she made that night. When his ex girlfriend, before Cadence, cheated on him, it took him a whole year before he started considering liking someone, let alone dating them. Heck, he wouldn’t be surprised if Cadence hated him for the rest of her life. Yet she confessed to still loving him and wanting to be with him, something Charlie wanted so badly. Pulling into his parking space, he lowered down the music and shut off his vehicle, the silence on the way to the door a little too much for him. He quickly got ready for bed, something he thought of as pointless because he knew he would lie there all night thinking about what Cadence said.
What if he begged for her back?
What if they got back together?
What if he proposed to her?
As he lay in his bed, he put on some music, hoping that the melodies would help ease his mind. This was something he always did when he felt overwhelmed. He would put on some music, close his eyes and just listen. Charlie didn’t know how much time passed as he was lost in his thoughts, but a sudden pounding at the door jolted him out of bed. Startled and a little frazzled, he took a moment to compose himself, wondering if he was hearing things or if there was someone banging on his door. His question was soon answered when the banging occurred again. Throwing on some pants, he rushed to the front door, confused as who might be banging. He glanced at the clock by the front door quickly before answering it: 12am.
Cadence stood there for a brief second before hugging him tightly and confessing. “I couldn’t do it Charlie. I couldn’t marry someone when I’m still in love with you. I’m still pissed that you hurt me and I haven’t completely forgiven you, but I can’t be without you. I can’t be with anyone except you” Charlie held her in his arms tightly, as if this was a dream.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry for everything I put you through. Be mad at me, do whatever you want to me. Just please give me a chance to make this right” he pleaded and she held him tighter. “Will you give me one more shot?” he pulled away to look her in the eyes and the next second her lips were on Charlie’s, who gladly kissed her back. He took a few steps back and she kicked the door close with her foot, their lips never leaving each others. Their kiss was filled with so many emotions. It was as if it said “I’m sorry”, “I forgive you”, “I’m still mad at you”, “I miss you”, and “I still love you” all in one go. As they slowly separated and stared deep into each other’s eyes, the silence actually felt like it belonged. The buzz of their phones distracted them and they broke the kiss. Rolling their eyes at the text and making eye contact affirmed that they had gotten the same text. Charlie placed his and her phone on the counter, kissing her again passionately, and dragging her back into his bedroom. They had a lot that they needed to work out.
The moment Steve lands at the facility, Loki practically runs inside. It was as if he expected to be dragged back to the tower if he hesitated for even a moment. You watch him and he seemed pleased enough in what he encountered. You turn away when Steve finds you still lingering in the back. He takes your bag from your hand and motions you to walk with him.
“You ok?”
“Yeah,” you sigh out. “It just feels weird to be back to square one, you know? I worked so hard to get where I am and now I have to go back to training wheels. It’s not really fair.”
Steve offers you a sympathetic smile.
“You’ll be back with us before you know it,” he assures you. “And if Loki is to be trusted, which I’ll admit is a hard thing for me to do, you’ll come out of this stronger than ever.”
“I was already strong before,” you sigh. “I was doing fine. Sure, I didn’t have some super soldier serum or a powerful suit, but I was fighting alongside you so that speaks for itself.”
“Y/N…”
“Steve just…” you whisper in resignation. “I was happy being normal and now… now, I’m not. I haven’t really gotten a chance to wrap my head around that everything has completely changed.”
“I understand,” Steve breathes out. “Things just happen in life, Y/N. They may be good, most times it’s bad, and it’s up to us to figure out how to deal with it. I know you have it in you to make the best out of this situation.”
Steve stops at the door of your room and hands you your bag back. Your hand lingers on his as the request comes swiftly into your mind.
“Can I ask you for a favor?”
Steve nods, “Anything.”
“I’m going to try my best to gain control of this power but if I can’t, then I want it out of me.”
“That could kill you.”
“Sacrifices have to be made for the greater good,” you tell him. “You out of everyone should know. You did the same thing years ago.”
“And you know what that cost me.”
Indeed you did. He had told you about it some time ago. Trusted you with this information he kept close.
Steve had lost his comrades, the love of his life, and skipped 70 years into the future and though you wouldn’t have the same repercussions he had, you found the conclusion albeit still alarming.
“If I hurt someone, Steve… If I end up on the wrong side of things where I become the enemy… I don’t know if I could live with myself if I could have prevented it to begin with.”
Steve hesitates but he must see the deep desperation in your eyes.
“I’ll look into it,” Steve sighs. “And if that day comes… Just know, I’ll find another way to save you. I don’t care what it takes.”
You knew Steve to be stubborn so you allowed him this small victory. You release your hand from his and take your bag. Steve is quick to pull you into a hug and you allow yourself the small comfort.
“The next time I see you better be on a good note,” Steve chuckles into your ear. “I know you can beat this, Y/N. Don’t give up before it even starts.”
You nod and force yourself to let him go. He offers you one last encouraging smile before finally turning and walking away.
Your quiet solemn moment is disrupted by a dark chuckle that appears suddenly in front of you.
“That was agonizing to watch,” Loki mutters. “I think our innocent Captain was expecting a kiss out of it.”
“We’re just friends,” you respond glaring at the God that leaned against the door frame of his room which conveniently resided right in front of yours.
“Are you sure?” Loki grins. “I don’t think you’re being completely honest at this moment.”
“And I think you’re spinning lies out of nowhere so you can incite drama because you find yourself bored.”
Loki doesn’t respond and you knew you had him. You turn away and open the door of your room. You don’t bother to turn the light on as you throw your bag inside. You make up your mind you’ll unpack and settle in later.
“Come on,” you call out to Loki. “Let me introduce you to everyone.”
A highlight at being moved to the large and expansive Avengers Facility that laid out of the city is the people who resided there. You can’t help but laugh when you step into the dining room to find a Welcome Home banner hung up with Wanda and Vision at the head of a filled table. Bucky and Sam were there too but the serious scowl on their faces made it seem like they were unhappy with your arrival.
“You didn’t have to do all of that,” you tell Wanda as you hug her. “It hasn’t been that long since I’ve stayed here.”
“It’s been long enough,” Wanda states.
“Welcome home Agent Y/N,” Vision nods at you.
“Hello again, Viz.”
“We all heard about what happened,” Wanda speaks up. “Are you ok?”
“Not really,” you shrug. “But I will be once I get myself under control.”
Wanda squeezes your arm and you turn towards Bucky and Sam who haven’t moved to greet you. They remain rooted in place as they glared at your travel partner who remains in the outskirts of the room.
“Hey, stop that,” you nudge them. “He’s not a threat.”
“That’s not what Steve said,” Bucky mutters. “He said we needed to pay extra attention to him.”
“Yeah, emphasis on extra,” Sam adds.
“I’m sure he didn’t mean it literally,” you argue.
“Better safe than sorry,” Sam responds.
You roll your eyes at them and turn to Loki instead.
“Loki, this is the rest of the team,” you introduce him vaguely. “Team, this is Loki.”
Wanda’s the only one to offer a small wave while everyone else remained silent. You understood why Vision was hesitant to step forward. Loki had once wielded the mind stone that was currently resting on his forehead. As for Bucky and Sam, they were just being overprotective by Steve’s warning.
“Alright, great start,” you mumble as you nod Loki forward. “Let’s just sit. They’ll get over the whole security threat thing once they realize you’re not going to do anything.”
“And what if I do step out of line?” Loki asks with a slight grin.
The question doesn’t go unheard as Bucky and Sam are quick to straighten up while Wanda lets out a heavy sigh. You set your plate down and turn towards the mischievous God.
“Bucky there,” you point out. “Has a metal arm and a variation of the super soldier serum running through his body. He’s also a very notorious assassin but we don’t talk about it.”
You then point towards Sam.
“Now Sam here, you might think he’s nothing special and in a way he isn’t…”
“Hey!”
You shoot Sam a pointed glare and he shuts up enough to allow you to continue.
“As I was saying, Sam may not be a super soldier, but he can sure fight like one and you won’t want to face him with his Falcon suit on. You won’t stand a chance if he catches you in the air.”
Loki takes in the information you offered and makes note of it. He knows better than to create enemies without knowing who they are and the threat they may impose on him.
“Now Wanda is a sweetheart,” you continue earning a smile from her. “But she can kick ass if she needs to and between you and me, I wouldn’t want to get on her bad side. She got her powers through the mind stone which allows her to do a lot of cool stuff. Telekinesis, telepathy, force fields, mental manipulation… The list goes on and on.”
You take a deep breath and then turn to Vision who’s still joining them on the table though he doesn’t need to eat dinner.
“Now Vision is the youngest of us all if you can believe it,” you tell Loki. “I still don’t understand the science of how he was made but basically he’s an android with a conscience. A robot with a heart of gold. Plus, he’s the self-appointed guardian of the mind stone and we all saw him wield Mjolnir though Thor refuses to admit it.”
Loki now realizes why his brother had been so easily convinced to allow him out of his sight. With this band of trainee heroes, Loki would be well supervised and beaten if he stepped out of line.
“Now that the introductions are out of the way, let’s eat.”
You eagerly begin to pile food on your plate passing the courses around. Everyone follows your lead easing into an amicable conversation. Loki simply sat back and drank the wine offered as he suddenly found himself with appetite lost.
Perfect Opposites, chapter two
You all requested a chapter two, so here it is
I couldn’t forget it if I tried. I’ve turned it over in my memory so many times by now that it comes back to me like a well trained muscle repeating a familiar movement. There were a lot of little moments before that, but this one in particular stands out because it was the first one where I realized that he felt the same way I did.
We were an odd pairing from the start; he a pragmatic, analytical planner and me an idealistic, carefree dreamer. He used to call me a “loose cannon” and at first it was truly meant as an insult, said in a moment of frustration, but over time it became a term of endearment. That first day we worked together, I immediately noticed how handsome he was, tall and blonde with a square jaw and slim hips. He was so stoic, and my attempts to get to know him were met with one-word answers and pleas to focus on our assignment. I knew that I wasn’t bad-looking, and in fact I was quite used to men responding to me readily, so it felt like a fun challenge to try and crack his shell. I wasn’t trying to sleep with him; I was smart enough to know what that would do to my reputation. I was one of the first dozen female field agents to serve and I wasn’t about to blow it for all the others by hopping right into bed with my partner. But I was intrigued by his guarded demeanor, and the more he resisted me the more I wanted to know him. He insisted on calling me Rogers, even though I asked him repeatedly to call me Bridget. At first I called him Harry, but then I started calling him Hansen just to make a point and it stuck. It became a dance; I would tease and flirt with him, he would ignore my advances while we worked a case, and every once in a while he would give me a little something. First, it was little jokes, told so dryly that I had to look for the barely-there smirk on his lips to be sure he was intentionally being funny. Getting him to smile was a game in and of itself, but when I got one it was like magic. He was so beautiful when he smiled, and it became a drug I was always seeking. Over time, little by little, he started to trust me, and confide in me. He turned off the AM radio on our long drives and talked to me, not just about work.
One day he turned to me while we were driving, smiling about some stupid program he’d seen on TV the night before, and I realized that I was in love with him. I can’t say now when that happened, exactly, but in that moment I knew it, and that started the years of pushing it down, of going out with other men and pretending that he wasn’t the only one I wanted. It was so hard and heartbreaking, and I thought about asking to be reassigned dozens of times, but I couldn’t give up on the chance to be near him every day. As different as we were, he complimented me so perfectly that he became my equilibrium, the thing that grounded me to the place I was in space and time. I didn’t know how to exist without him. I was faced with an impossible choice; leave the bureau and try to have a happy life without the other half of my heart, or stay and resign to a life of pining for him across the console of our rental car. Of course there really wasn’t a choice. I could no sooner have left him than I could have chosen not to breathe anymore.
I’ve thought about that September night so many times, I can still remember the way his gingham table cloth felt under my fingertips as I nervously traced its pattern, waiting for the news I had been dreading for the last three years. He’d been seeing someone, and I just knew he was going to tell me it was getting serious, that they were getting engaged. I was afraid that I would cry, and he would ask me why, and then he’d know. He was sitting close, closer than most people would to their coworker, but that’s how we were. And he was telling me about this woman, Donna, and I felt so sick.
“I broke it off with her” he had said, and I looked at him, confused. “It just wasn’t right, Rogers. She’s a nice lady, but it just…it didn’t feel right. She’s not the one.”
I was so flooded with relief that I actually did start crying, and of course he was confused. Why would I be crying because he broke up with his girlfriend? He knelt down in front of me, and he held my hands in his, and he was just so sweet. He was always so sweet with me.
“Rogers, what’s wrong? Are you upset about Donna?”
I didn’t know what else to say, or how else to explain it, so I just nodded.
“I know we seemed like a good match, but she’s not the one. She’s the kind of person I always thought I’d end up with, but I’m realizing that I was wrong about what I wanted. About who I wanted.”
I looked at him then, at his crystal blue eyes. It felt like he was looking straight into my soul. He was searching my face like he was looking for an answer, but didn’t know what the question was.
“Bridget, have you ever just realized all of a sudden that everything you thought you knew was wrong?”
He called me by my first name. I nodded, and I thought of that moment in the car. And he was still looking all over my face, and at my mouth, and it felt like we were suspended in space, adrift in a moment that could never go forward or backward. Stuck until we made a choice. We had to make a choice.
He kissed me then, so softly, and we returned to Earth together, having found new ground. Having found each other. Even though we’d worked together and been best friends for 8 years, something entirely new was born that night, and we spent the next 20 years making up for the 8 we had wasted.
I was thinking about this at my retirement party, while the other agents ate grocery store cake and politely looked at photos of my grandchildren. When Agents Mulder and Scully walked in, I couldn’t suppress my smile. Agent Scully walked over to me with a secret smile on her lips, one she always sent my way when we were in the same room together. We had never spoken of our conversation in the bathroom last year, but she always went out of her way to say hi to me.
“Agent Hansen, congratulations” she said warmly, taking my hand in what felt more like a hand-hug than a handshake.
“Thank you, Agent Scully. I look forward to spending more time with my grandchildren.”
Agent Mulder walked up then. He sure was a handsome man, and somehow seemed to get better looking as the years went by.
“Agent Hansen, the time has come!” He said jovially. “I only wish Harry could be here retiring alongside you, he would have loved this little shindig.” There was heavy sarcasm in his tone; he knew Harry would have hated the fuss.
“You knew Harry Hansen?” Agent Scully asked him with genuine surprise.
“Of course, we worked together in VCU. I liked to give him a hard time. He reminded me a lot of you, actually” he said to Agent Scully with a gentle nudge of his elbow to her ribs.
“Sounds like he was a great guy” she joked, then “we have to catch a flight out for a case, Agent Hansen, but I wanted to come by and say goodbye. It’s been such a pleasure working with you.”
Agent Mulder looked at her a little quizzically, but I understood the meaning behind what she was saying. I shook her hand again, and held it in a little squeeze.
“I hope you’ll remember what I said” I told her, and she nodded once before they turned to leave. I was happy to be retiring, but I would miss watching them together and would always wonder if they ever found their way to each other.
A few months later, I was at the 7-11 picking up donuts for my grandsons when I heard a familiar voice in the next aisle. It was Agent Mulder, on his cell phone.
“Hey, sleepy head… It’s after 9, that’s hardly early… Well what were you doing staying up so late last night?” He chuckled, and the innuendo was clear even from the bit of the conversation I could hear. I felt sadness tug at my heart thinking that he was seeing someone, and how Agent Scully must feel. I knew exactly how she’d feel.
“We’ll I’m getting you breakfast now, and coffee, so hopefully that helps…I was thinking we could go to Annapolis tonight, there’s one of those movie in the park things, we could stop by and see your mom first…because no one in Annapolis knows us, so maybe you’ll actually be willing to be seen in public with me…you know what I mean, outside of work”
I couldn’t help but smile from my hiding spot behind the donut case. He was talking to Agent Scully.
“…well, think about and you can decide later….yes, I’ll be back in 15 minutes, go back to sleep if you want…Love you, bye.”
He paid and left, and an idea started cooking in my head. Annapolis wasn’t that far of a drive, and I didn’t exactly have an active social calendar. I just wanted to see them together again, one more time.
My plan had been to get there early so I’d be sure to catch them as they arrived, but through a combination of traffic, my own poor navigation skills (that had always been Harry’s strong suit) and lack of parking, I walked in to a full lawn and the previews already starting. Thankfully, her red hair was easy to spot and I found a place for my blanket just a few feet behind them. It was a little too close, and made the odds they would see and recognize me higher than I would have liked, but soon enough it was clear that it wouldn’t be an issue. They were in their very own universe, bordered by the ugly brown Aztec blanket they sat on. Agent Mulder was reclined against a cooler with Agent Scully between his legs, leaning against his torso like an Adirondack chair, his arms wrapped around her. He whispered in her ear and kissed her neck as she giggled. They looked more like two teenagers on a date than two federal agents and it reminded me of so many nights Harry and I snuck off for dates in some forgettable city after wrapping up a case, freed from the risk that someone from the bureau would see us together and report our relationship. Those were some of the most exciting times in my life, and watching them now…I felt the tears bubbling up in my eyes. They were happy tears, full of memories and love and hope. Full of the promise of a relationship forged in fire and turmoil, sealed by dedication and hard work. I knew I’d have to go visit Harry the next day and tell him all about it, and remember with him how clumsy and awkward we were in the beginning, peeling each other’s armor away slowly until it was just us, unguarded and vulnerable and the most seen we had ever been by another person, or ever would be again.
By the end of the movie, they were spooned together under the stars, the relative darkness allowing for a kind of public intimacy that would normally be out of place. She had fallen asleep, and Agent Mulder was watching her, tracing a finger along the shell of her ear before placing a kiss to her temple. He sighed and I could hear him whisper to no one in particular “my perfect opposite.”
Being Best Friends with Klaus Hargreeves Would Include...
Anonymous said: Hey, not sure if you've done anything similar to this before but could I request 'Being best friends with Klaus Hargreeves would include...' I love your blog, thank you! x
I’m baaaaaaack (at least for a bit!)! Enjoy and cut me some slack as it’s been a while since I’ve written fanfiction; especially TUA fanfic!
Tumblr media
It’s not entirely his own fault but Klaus is not the greatest influence.
So if you have a rather cautious personality, be prepared to do things far outside of your comfort zone.
If you’re more attuned to Klaus’ chaos, be prepared to get on the wildest ride of your life and probably definitely get into trouble.
If chaos is your thing you might become more cautious around Klaus! Who knows!
Either way you lean, you’re going to get used to the turbulence that comes with Klaus.
Perhaps that’s why you’re so close to begin with.
When he was younger, Klaus was rebellious to combat the structure of his Father’s schedules and training regimes.
Sadly, he could never really rebel enough to free himself entirely.
Aside from his brothers and sisters, Klaus didn’t have friends.
So, when he met you, he dived in head first; all the good, bad, and the ugly.
It was after what Klaus remembers/believes was his first big bender when he found himself in a coffee shop, studying the menu with glossy eyes.
It was one of your first jobs, working as a barista/baker.
Klaus was wearing a long, faux fur line jacket, a pink crop top, and jorts (jean shorts).
Because of his piece-meal outfit, you couldn’t take your eyes off of him.
That and he was holding up the line as he debated what he had the munchies for.
“What would you get…”
“What?” You raised your brows at him, surprised he finally spoke up.
“What would you get if you had stayed up for three days straight, wine tasti-wine hoarding really, and raving in the best clubs of the city?”
“An aspirin and a chai latte probably.”
“Ah! Yes! A chai latte sounds ammaazing right now. Maybe a cookie too.”
“Snickerdoodle?”
“It’s like you can read my mind! Wait, can you? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised.”
After he got his cookie and his chai latte, the strangely dressed man made himself comfortable in the coffee shop.
After a few hours, Klaus was what your manager considered loitering.
Hell, after the last few hours of your shift and Klaus still lingered, your manager offered to walk you to your car.
“I think he’s just…”
You looked over and saw him, Klaus, idly twirling a pair of sunglasses between his fingers.
“...he’s just lost.”
When you had gathered your things and cleaned up after your shift, you wandered over to where he sat.
It took a moment before he took notice of you but when he did, he stood up quickly.
“Hey you,” he said in a rushed breath (somehow it still sounded flirtatious).
“Hey, uh, I’m Y/N.”
“Oh! What a lovely name!”
He extended his hand to you and you finally saw the tattoos on his palm.
“I’m Klaus, my dear. Care for an adventure?”
That first ‘adventure’ was one that you would remember forever.
Klaus took you to his favorite second-hand shop and you thrifted horrendous articles of clothing.
You still have an incredibly chunky, cable-knit sweater from that day; when you miss Klaus, you wear it.
Klaus bought two wigs, decent wigs, with what money he had.
Outside, Klaus turned to you and grinned.
“Put this on, will you?”
“Pink isn’t re-”
He was already tugging the wig over your head.
“Pink is so your color, trust me,” he gestured to himself, “I know style.”
When he donned the other, curly haired, wig, Klaus led you to an array of establishments with less than welcoming atmospheres where you ‘borrowed’ some merchandise.
Klaus has not mercy for racist or homophobic stores/companies and ‘borrows’ from them often.
Klaus nearly got caught, he lost his wig in the fray.
You had never felt more alive.
You had never smiled wider.
It was thrilling; he was thrilling.
But he wasn’t thrilling all the time.
After that day, you and Klaus were attached to the hip and you learned there were other parts to him outside of the bubbling, endearing chaos.
His addictions became startlingly apparent.
During his many sleep overs, he would search through your cabinets, your fridge, any other place he could think of, for booze.
“Klaus?”
“Yes, dear?”
“Whatcha doing?”
“Hunting for our dinner, what’s it look like.”
You set a limit on the number of drink he was allowed to have when he stayed over at your place (which was quite often).
You didn’t want him to suffer but you didn’t want him black-out drunk, or high either.
Overall, you tried to rein in his drug use; for his own sake.
When he isn’t wasted, Klaus tries to keep himself busy in other ways.
This meant a lot more ‘adventures’ for the two of you.
Small trips to cultural grocery stores to try different foods
Thrift shopping; because Klaus is always looking to add to this wardrobe.
You draw the line at dumpster diving.
“You’re missing out, Y/N! When I lived in LA for a week, this is how I survived.”
“You lived in LA?”
“For a time. Lots of bikinis...roller skates too.”
Other times you and Klaus would just walk around the city talking.
The two of you would create fantasy lives for the people you passed by, giving them wild powers like Klaus and his siblings.
Sometimes you would listen to Klaus talk about his siblings.
Your favorite stories to listen to were about Ben.
“After that, pigeons never seemed to land on the roof. Too scared I think. Ben and I did too good of a job.”
“Sounds like he was an amazing guy.”
“Yeah, he was. He likes y- I, he would have liked you.”
You tell him about your family, about your own struggles.
Through this sharing, this walks and talks, you both grow closer.
These winding walks often end at Griddy’s diner.
“Slap me on the ass and call me Bessy, I forgot how good strawberry donuts are!”
When you return back home, your place, but Klaus calls it home, you settle in.
Klaus will braid his hair, offer to try to braid yours.
“Please, it keeps me busy.”
“What would you do without me?”
“Die of boredom, or just die, probably.”
If you both have a night cap drink before bed, you guys might dance.
Klaus tries to teach you a few moves before giving up.
“Just feel the music, my dear, feel it.”
Eventually, you both collapse and cuddle for a bit.
Klaus is a big fan of platonic cuddling so prepare for that.
Movie nights!
Due to his ‘training’ and his powers, Klaus tends to stay away from horror films so get ready for rom-coms and cheesy action movies.
“Have you ever wanted to do that?”
Klaus has a habit of asking questions during the movie; none of which are crucial to the plot of said movie.
“What?”
“If we got a boat, would you do the whole ‘I’m king of the world’ bit?”
“I mean, why wouldn’t I do it?”
“My thoughts exactly.”
There are nights when you can hear him whimpering from the couch where he sleeps.
Those nights, you creep out of your room and wake him up.
“Bad dream?”
Klaus never responds to the question, ever.
Instead, he curls up next to your and you play with his hair until he falls asleep again.
The next morning, over coffee, you try to get him to talk about it.
Sometimes he does, other times he distracts from the topic.
Either way, you hug him.
“I’m here for you, Klaus.”
“I’m here for you too. Otherwise, I’m homeless.”
He is always trying to set you up with people.
You’ll be working at the coffee shop and he’ll come up and pretend to buy something just to tell you: “table in the far corner. They’ve been glancing your way a lot.”
“Klaus….they’re waiting for their order.”
“Oh. Well, you never know.”
That always leaves you smiling.
It’s hard not to be happy with Klaus as your best friend.
Even when he’s down or you’re down, the two of you together seem to lift one another up.
Being Klaus’ friend means having fun and feeling, feeling so much.
You feel his past pain, his struggle, his grief, in the same turn you feel his joy, his wonder, and his spark for good.
And in that, you inspire each other to do and be better.
inhibitions (or, high five)
Fandom: The Umbrella Academy
Characters: Vanya & Five
Word Count: 2062
Warnings: drug use, mentions of alcohol abuse
“Ahem.”
Slam. “Ow.”
“What are you doing?” Vanya asked, peering around the cabinet door to where Five was cursing and rubbing his head.
“Nothing.”
Vanya raised her eyebrows. “Doesn’t look like nothing.”
“Yeah, well, it’s nothing, okay?” Five snapped, sticking his sore head back in the cabinet.
Well, that’s bullshit. “You sure?”
Five huffed. “Let me assure you, I am one hundred percent certain that I am doing absolutely nothing of interest to you right now.”
He briefly pulled his head out (carefully avoiding the top) to see Vanya giving him one of her soft smiles. “Rooting around in the back of a cabinet is pretty interesting to me.”
A long, low exhale. He was eyeing her carefully, the same way he did the first day he came home. Like he didn’t know who to trust. “Fine. Do you happen to know where dear old Dad kept the alcohol?”
The crease between Vanya’s eyes deepened. “We have a whole bar, Five.”
“Yes, yes, I know, but we’re… uh, out. Did the old man have any backup storage?”
“I think he got rid of it all when Klaus started drinking.” She put a gentle hand on Five’s shoulder, startling him. Instantly, the hand was back at her side. Right. The touch thing. “Are you okay?”
He sighed, running his small hand through his hair. “Yep. Fine. Great. Just… need to take the edge off.”
Everything went still.
“Five.”
“What,” he snapped. “Are you going to lecture me about the long-term effects of alcohol on my goddamn pre-teen body like everyone else? Because trust me, I’ve calculated exactly the blood alcohol content that –”
“No, I – no. I was just going to say…” She swallowed hard, then met his gaze, her kind eyes and his blazing ones. The corner of her lip tugged upward. “I’ve got something that might help.”
*
Honestly, Vanya never thought that her birthday gift from Klaus would ever be anything more than a joke. “So you don’t blow up the moon again,” he’d said with a wink, “now that you’re off your pills and everything.” But now, sitting on the floor of her childhood bedroom ripping open a package of laced gummies with her 58-year-old brother, she was so, so glad she had it.
The circles under Five’s eyes had gotten worse over the past few weeks, and even though she knew he’d never say anything, it was clear that putting down the staggering weight of the apocalypse after forty-five years of carrying it was proving difficult for her brother. She saw the way he startled at his reflection, the way his fingers flexed absent-mindedly toward his hip, right where a holster might be, the way he counted the people in the room, the way he would talk too quietly or too loudly, or left out details in stories, as if he couldn’t gauge how much of a given conversation was supposed to happen in his head.
He’d taken to drinking, of course – he’d been drinking since he got back. But now he seemed to rarely be without a glass in his hand. And Vanya saw the way his shoulders relaxed when he took a sip, the way his tapping foot and twitching eyelid settled.
Vanya was used to watching. She knew how to see things.
She’d been saving the candy especially for him, for when he needed it. Tomorrow she’d go to the liquor store for him; she knew better than to recommend he go cold-turkey. Five was smart. With the right support, he’d slow down on his own, when he was ready. That was her job, being the right support.
Therapy would probably be good too.
“I don’t like sweets,” he reminded her, and for a second her heart lurched for the thirteen-year-old boy who was once caught with a half-empty can of cake frosting under his bed.
“These’ll help. Just trust me?” It was a request, an olive branch. Slowly, he nodded.
“Okay.”
*
“—It wasn’t even the most dangerous situation I’d been in that week! Dolores was furious at me for days, of course, but at least I got some wine out of it,” Five said, tipping his head back to stare at the popcorn ceiling. Vanya was giggling at his story, watching the faint smile dance over her brother’s face at the memory.
“I thought the apocalypse would be, just like… shitty forever.”
Five sighed. “It was. But you know. You can’t be unhappy for 45 years straight, your body doesn’t work that way. There were good times.”
Vanya giggled again. She couldn’t seem to stop doing that. “I can’t do anything straight.”
For a beat, Five studied her, his expression unreadable. Then he broke into a surprisingly bright smile.
“That was a joke.” It wasn’t a question.
Vanya gave her brother a light shove. The way a sister might to a brother. “Of course it was, idiot.”
He shoved her back, smiling wider than Vanya had seen in a long time. “Don’t call me an idiot. Idiot.” The twitch in his eyebrow was gone. Vanya suddenly went quiet, the light feeling in her core spreading throughout her chest at this realization.
“Five?”
“Hm?”
“I love you a lot.”
Five was quiet too, then, but not unusually so; Five was always quiet, when he wasn’t yelling. His eyes traced patterns in the ridges and dips of the ceiling plaster.
“I love you too.” He turned to look at her. “I missed you.”
“I know, Five,” she replied, because she did. “I missed you too.” Because she does. Did. Does.
His face split again, into that same bright, open smile. “You know what I would think about? Out in the apocalypse?”
“What?”
“When we would stay up all night sometimes talking. Remember that? Jesus, we must’ve been… ten? Eleven? And we’d be up for hours… I don’t even remember what we talked about. Math, probably.” Five shrugged. “I had conversations like that with Dolores, after. Or sometimes you.”
“Me?”
He smoothed out the fabric of his shorts. “Yeah, you were there in the apocalypse with me. I had your book, remember? Closest I could get to someone talking to me.”
Vanya tried to meet his eyes, but he was gone somewhere. A gentle hand found his arm. He flinched a little, but didn’t pull away. “I’m here now.”
He nodded, and when he spoke, it sounded strangled somehow. “Thanks.”
A passing truck honked its horn. Vanya thunked her head back on a bedpost, sinking into the floaty feeling that had settled right around her sternum. She got why Klaus did this. It felt like she could say anything, or do anything, and everything would be okay.
Five made a kind of whining noise in the back of his throat. “I want donuts.”
Vanya closed her eyes, smiling. “Shit, donuts sound great right now.”
“The jelly-filled ones from Griddy’s.”
“Yeah, when you get there at like eight p.m. and they’ve just finished the last batch of the day so they’re, like, fresh and shit.”
“Fuck,” Five sighed, pulling the back of his blazer over his head and slouching. “I want donuts.”
Despite herself, Vanya started giggling again. “You look ridiculous.”
“Excuse you,” Five replied, wrinkling his nose. “I am a trained assassin of the Commission, licensed to travel space and time with an assault rifle. I never look ridiculous.”
“You look like a Founding Father.”
The look that Five shot Vanya sent chills running down her spine. But like, in a fun way.
“Take that back.”
“No.”
“You asshole, take it –”
“No, you look like Benjamin goddamn Frank – hey!” Before she could so much as blink, Five had pounced, swatting at her arms when she laughingly brought them up to protect herself. “Go away, you know I’m right!”
Five was grinning too, slipping his fingers past her weak defenses to mess up her hair and poke at her cheeks until she had to hold her stomach in laughter. “Take it back, I said!” he crowed, sounding like he was on the edge of laughter himself. He managed a lucky strike when blunt fingernails skated over the crease of her neck, and she scrunched her shoulder with a squeal.
“No – no, fuck, Five –”
Vanya’s flailing hands struggled to gain any sort of advantage against Five’s skilled assassin reflexes, to no avail. She was horribly ticklish at the best of times, but now the ruthless pokes that were attacking her nerves overwhelmed her, and she curled up into a ball of giggles on the floor.
Through wet lashes she could see Five’s grin as he methodically took her apart, relentlessly tickling all the places he knew were torture – ears down to collarbone, and then jumping down to squeeze at her sides, making her shriek. His skinny teenage fingers were unfortunately perfect for tickling at her ribs and sneaking their way into the crease of her neck.
Vanya was laughing the hardest she’d laughed in a long time, maybe ever. Nobody in recent memory had known her like this, known her well enough to completely eviscerate her the way that Five always, always could. Damn him. This was definitely cheating.
Her laughter hit a fever pitch when Five got a hold of one of her kicking feet. Shit.
“Please, I – fuck! Okay, okay, I take it back, mercy!”
Five stopped, smirking. “Assassins don’t show mercy, except to ticklish sisters.”
A few residual giggles escaped through Vanya’s nose. “Shut up.”
“Me, shut up? Me? Excuse you, you called me a fucking Founding Father –”
“I didn’t say you were a Founding Father, I said you looked –”
“Vanya, I don’t think you understand that I am still holding on to your ankle, and strategically – hey!”
Swiftly, Vanya scooped up his own ankle and held it in her lap, a mischievous smirk on her face. She had completely forgotten about Five’s thing with unanticipated touch, but his eyes were just as bright as hers. “Oh yeah?”
Five’s smirk didn’t waver. “Nice try, I’m not ticklish.”
“Is that so?” She tugged on his leg, tucking it under her arm and hovering her fingertips over his knee. Five nearly choked.
“Wait –”
A squeeze was all it took for Five to collapse into hysterical laughter, squirming and flailing, but more squeezes couldn’t hurt. Vanya was grinning, digging in mercilessly. Served him right for attacking her, he wasn’t not the only one who remembers ticklish spots. It occurred to her that she was maybe being a little cruel, going right for his weakness immediately, but the loud, bright cackles pouring out of her brother’s mouth were worth every kick that he landed.
Five pounded a fist on the floor, mouthing something resembling words, but he couldn’t manage anything coherent through his helpless laughter. All right then, mercy it is. She graciously released his leg, which shot up into his body as he curled in on himself.
“F-fuck you,” he panted.
Vanya chuckled. “Oh come on, surely assassins are familiar with the concept of revenge?”
He said nothing, but his smile, weak from tickles, widened. She wrinkled her brow. “What’s that for?”
“S’nothing. Hic.”
“Are you… are those hiccups?”
“No.” Hic. “…Fuck off.”
Vanya burst into another fit of laughter, earning her a light shove. Five tried to school his face into an angry expression, but he was laughing too.
“I take back everything I said, I didn’t miss you, I don’t love you, you’re an asshole –”
She giggled and shoved him back. “You’re an asshole, but we love you anyway.”
The faux-anger melted away. “I know.”
For a long moment, a comfortable silence fell over the siblings, the kind that they used to fall into around four in the morning when they had both squeezed onto Five’s bed for the night to talk about training and music and math and family.
Five yawned despite himself. “M’fuckin’ sleepy,” he grumbled.
Vanya smiled. “You sound like a kid.”
“I look like one, too,” he said, and at first Vanya thought he might be angry. He usually was when he talked about his body. But then he smiled again. He kept doing that. His eyes were shining. “I’m sorry it took me so long. The calculation took years.”
Vanya shifted to face him. “Talk to me about it.”
Five’s smile grew, and Vanya knew, somewhere in her chest, that they would be okay.
