imagine. it's summer 1995 and remus is living in 12 grimmuald with sirius. he usually helps molly organizing cabinets, making sure sirius isn't bored and that he's ok, taking care of harry, etc. but he never turly left his favourite thing in the world behind.

reading.

at nights when sirius was asleep next to him, he would devour words and ink on paper for hoirs on end.

but one night, sirius is woken up by a red eyed remus hold out a book to him.

it was obvious that remus was crying, the book's content making him emotional. and he was just sitting there, on their bed, holding out a book to sirius.

"moony? do you want me to read it?"

silence.

remus always gets silent when vulnerable, sirius learned that the hard way.

but the look in remus' eyes... sometimes sirius would get lost in the honey and chocolate.

still silence. still remus was holding out the book.

and in that moment remus looked so fucking sad, maybe scared.

sirius just took the book from rem's hand, put it on the nightstand, and pulled remus into his arms.

sirius reads the book. it was so good he passes it to harry, harry passes it to hermoine, hermoine to ron, ron to ginny, ginny to fred, fred to george, and the book returns to remus john lupin's hands.

Random rant or info dump about something you like?

Well, as may be evident from my blog, I am an enjoyer of books, and right now I am sort of on an extended mission to organize my own book collection and purchase books I want to own! (It's a long-term goal, at least, but of course it takes time to work on.)

Sometimes it's so fun just to look over all of them and feel proud of my collection. And I have a love-hate relationship with organizing them. 😄 I mean, it can be difficult to decide on what system I want to use for organization. If I arrange them by genre, they're not always in height order, but if I arrange them in height order, then all the genres will be mixed up. 🤷🏼‍♀️ So that's kind of annoying. But it's a good problem, because it means I have that many of my own books! And I love to dream about what other books I want to buy, and how they'll look on my shelves, and where/how I will store them when I have lots more. And sometimes I even love thinking about cool or fancy bookcases or looking at that kind of stuff on Pinterest. One day I hope to have a whole room I can dedicate just to being my personal library!

Did you notice how many gifts are *books* in Awakening?? Either our poor Warden-Commander was running out of gift ideas or was passively encouraging the formation of a Grey Warden book club.

Vigil's Keep Book Club! With Nat as honorary member.

Fun fact: Justice was apparently Most Prolific Reader of VKBC with a grand total of 3 books! (Well 2 books and an elvish scroll but it counts!)

Writing tip: keep a diary.

It's as simple as that, really. Make sure to write daily, and write about your feelings, thoughts or day as if you were a narrator in a novel. If a conversation stood out today, write the dialogue. If the landscape looked lovely on your way to the store and it is still weighing in your mind, describe it, and write how it made you feel. No matter how dramatic, write it. As a matter of fact, my diary entries are all very flowery and dramatic. But they're excellent writing exercises.
