i genuinely don’t think we were meant to read loads of books. we were meant to collect them, but not consume them. when i read more than like a book a week, I don’t even remember what happened in the book anyway. i want to be more intentional about reading — slowing my reading pace down so i enjoy reading, not just breezing through every tome i can get my hands on to increase my book count for the year.

Currently reading one of my most anticipated books this year. The average goodreads rating for this is currently 4.46 which is insane and also really impressive and so far I can see why!! Emily Wilde can handle a fairy king whether he’s hungover at a cafe or proposing on one knee. And I massively relate to her love for libraries. I also really missed the banter between her and Wendell - the urge to reread the first book is strong and I rarely reread books these days. Here’s hoping this turns out to be another 5🌟 read!
