izuru is so interesting to me conceptually. like i know in canon he’s kind of nothing unfortunately. at least in game canon, he shows up right at the end, says some eugenics-y shit, voices hajimes intrusive thoughts, and then hes gone, but. the concept of him, as hajime, but with everything that made him Hajime Hinata stripped away and buried under so much conditioning and bullshit that he cant reach it, is so. its SO. yknow.
its the whole argument about what makes us the people we are, right? if you take a person, and then erase literally all the memories they have of their own identity, are they still that person? have you taken away everything that makes them Them and made them a completely different one? how does that change, and pardon the philosophical question, their soul?
and the thing about izuru is that you can not tell me the memory repression was perfect. you can not tell me that hopes peak academy perfected the art of lobotomy so well that they completely erased every speck of hajime hinata that existed inside izuru kamukura. that boy felt what was missing he knew there was a hole the size of the fucking ocean in his head and he felt every centimeter of it. did he care? up for debate. izuru didnt seem to care about anything, really (which… i have some thoughts about his eugenics conditioning by the academy in regards to that but thats maybe another post). but i definitely think given enough time, some of that would have started to come back. maybe even after the events of the first game, when the school was open again, and junko was dead, and izuru was able to actually explore the place he was held and experimented in and look at the files, and discover his old name. something like that would definitely trigger some memory recovery, or at least a moderate breakdown of some kind.
i dont know. people have said before that izuru is kind of an interesting metaphor for depression if you think about it, and theyre right, he is. he doesnt care enough about anything in life, he doesnt care about hygiene, nothing is going to catch and hold his attention because he thinks he knows how everything in the world works so whats the point in even trying? but he isnt just a metaphor. thats who hajime was during that time. now im definitely one of the people who thinks hajime was a pretty depressed kid anyway, unable to fulfill what he thought he needed to be, constantly pressured to be something he wasnt and couldnt be. but izuru was so much worse. they gave that boy fucking. ultimate depression. super high school level depression. i definitely think the only reason izuru didnt ever do anything drastic about how utterly miserable he was is because. a lot of it was background noise to him? his brain was just blocked off so those triggers were unable to fire? and because. to be honest. thats truly so much work. especially with the reflexes and instincts and empowerment the experiments gave him. and junko’s despair was just intriguing enough to keep him moving
its just something i think about. if someone had been willing or able to just. talk to izuru and offer him a hand. understand that he was hurting and that he didnt have to be. that just because there were holes in his identity didnt mean he couldnt create his own pieces to fit into them. i truly think that if he’d had that kind of presence during the tragedy his brain would have unlocked itself. maybe not all the memories would come back, but he’d be able to feel stuff again at least. and thats… something.

What is Shadow Work, and How Do I Do It?
What is Shadow Work, and how can it help you? Are you ready to confront your shadows and emerge into the light of authenticity and wholeness?
Within each of us, under the surface that we show to others, is a dark side, or a shadow self just beneath our skin. It sounds like a supervillain origin story when I put it that way, but I’m really just talking about the psychological concept of shadow work. What is Shadow Work? Within the shadow, we confront aspects of ourselves we’d rather keep concealed: our fears, insecurities, traumas,…

How to use this week's energies to manifest our desires, gain clarity, and cultivate healthy relationships. From September 11th to September 17th in 2023
The stars are combining their energies to give us a powerful blend of energies. During this time we have the moon in Virgo, a new moon, and Mercury going direct. Understanding these energies and how to use them can help us to manifest our desires, gain clarity, and cultivate healthy relationships.
The moon in Virgo brings attention to detail and analytical energy. The energies can help us focus on examining situations or problems that have been haunting us in great detail rather than taking things at face value, to gain greater clarity, and understand the intricacies of what you are dealing with.
The new moon brings fresh beginnings, hope, and optimism. You can use this energy to leave behind the old and create space for the new - to begin something new or to set new intentions. Keep your mind and heart open to new opportunities and allow hope and optimism to motivate you to manifest.
Mercury going direct will help you move towards clarity and consciousness in communication. This energy is a good time to express yourself and to think about what you want to say before speaking. Refrain from judging and over-analyzing forms of communication and that will lead the way to being more aware of your thoughts and to remain open to truly open communication.
To embrace these energy combinations spiritually, you may want to consider taking time for meditation, reflection and contemplation. You could also recite affirmations or mantras for manifestation, clarity, and communication. Additionally, you may use the following ritual I have here to connect more deeply to these energies.
Begin your ritual by cleansing your space with a smoke stick or crystal. Sit quietly with a journey and reflect on what situation has lead you to this moment, what are your challenges and the intentions you want to set to help you move forward. Create a list of these thoughts and intentions, then light a candle and focus your intention on your list. Repeat these words "I act with insight, clarity, and understanding.", "I embrace new beginnings with positivity and optimism.", and "I communicate clearly and effectively in all areas of my life." Focus on these statements, visualizing each one manifesting in your life.
As you progress with this ritual, remember to stay aware, remain focused and believe in the power of the universe’s energies. These combined energies are perfect for taking action towards clarity, new beginnings, and clear communication. With an open heart, mind, and spirit, the universe will always provide in due time.

This is your daily reminder not to worry.
About anything.....
Nothing is worth it. Your nervous system is too precious to be weighed down with the foolishness of fear and anxiety.
Do something about it or alchemize it.
Make the love for yourself so strong that you won't tolerate holding onto worry.

Jealousy, is a messenger
to where you aren't watering yourself.
Meditation 002
Since a very young age I remember experiencing intense emotions of jealousy. No one ever talked to me about this emotion, the way it made me feel, and what to do with it.
As I've gotten older and worked through a lot of my shadows and the versions of myself that had unprocessed traumas, I can finally hold her in what the fullness of her purpose is: To show me where I desire to be watered by my-self.
( This used to be the sole job of others: care givers, friends, lovers.)
My Longing is: To see my full hearts desire without self judgement.
I had to be triggered again by a reoccurring situation to finally, intentionally sit with this in a meditation session focused on summoning my jealousy:
Jealousy, Jealousy, Jealousy! ( I called)
In the mediation I went into my heart where I could feel an old pain has resided, one that is extremely familiar. Once avoided my whole life and branded as ugly & uncomfortable. She shuffled into the space of a green lit, cave like room. She was hobbled over, creaturesque in a dark hooded robe. We walked over to a raised pool and gazed in. Holograms of the images of who, what, when, and why I am jealous...
I saw that Jealousy is the thing you want, she is you with those attributes only maimed, contorted, abused, neglected, tortured and tormented by the thoughts & beliefs that she isn't, and can't be.
Those injuries have debilitated and transformed her into what she is. The gnawing sensation that you chose to focus on lack. That you chose to hold yourself as less than. That you gave your power to ( your mind's version of) someone else to reflect value and worth to you. Albeit unconsciously, through conditioning and ignorance.
It's painful. But I stayed there. I saw what I had done to her.
Together we went naked into the water. Where we merged and floated deeply into the ocean. Falling/ Sinking so fast it was scary until I remembered I always have me. I trust this.
Mermaid like beings eventually surrounded us and large bubbles encapsulated me. Something like the fish you put in the tank to clean it, went all around me and was "shaving" layers down till I saw the being of myself like a baby glowing in the green light.
Eventually I was catapulted upwards in jets of bubbles, accompanied by dolphins and as I rose the body grew into a full grown woman.
I knew I was aware of her( Jealousy) and how we have transformed. How when I see her, I can choose to continue to harm her & myself or I can invite her to show me where I need to water myself with love.

Exploring the 8 Types of Meditation: Which is Right for Your Practice?
Tumblr media
In the pursuit of inner peace and spiritual growth, the practice of meditation serves as a sacred gateway—a portal through which we can explore the depths of our being and connect with the essence of existence. Within the vast landscape of meditation, there exists a rich tapestry of techniques, each offering a unique pathway to mindfulness, self-awareness, and transformation. Join us as we embark on a journey of discovery, exploring the eight main types of meditation and helping you discern which resonates most deeply with your soul.
1. Mindfulness Meditation
Description: Mindfulness meditation, rooted in Buddhist tradition, invites practitioners to cultivate present-moment awareness by observing thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment. It involves anchoring attention to the breath or bodily sensations and gently redirecting the mind when it wanders.
Benefits: Mindfulness meditation fosters greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress reduction. It promotes clarity of mind, enhanced focus, and a deeper sense of connection to oneself and the world.
2. Spiritual Meditation
Description: Spiritual meditation involves seeking a deeper connection with the divine, the universe, or one's higher self. Practitioners may engage in prayer, visualization, or contemplation of sacred texts or symbols to nurture their spiritual connection and cultivate a sense of inner peace and guidance.
Benefits: Spiritual meditation deepens one's sense of purpose, meaning, and connection to the divine. It fosters spiritual growth, inner wisdom, and a profound sense of trust and surrender to the unfolding of life.
3. Focused Meditation
Description: Focused meditation involves directing attention to a single point of focus, such as the breath, a candle flame, or a mantra. The goal is to cultivate concentration and mental clarity by gently returning attention to the chosen focal point whenever distractions arise.
Benefits: Focused meditation enhances concentration, memory, and cognitive function. It promotes mindfulness, reduces mental clutter, and cultivates a sense of inner calm and stability.
4. Movement Meditation
Description: Movement meditation, also known as mindful movement or walking meditation, integrates mindful awareness with gentle physical movement. Practitioners may engage in slow, deliberate movements such as walking, yoga, tai chi, or qigong, focusing on the sensations and rhythm of the body in motion.
Benefits: Movement meditation cultivates embodied presence, flexibility, and balance. It promotes physical health, stress reduction, and a deeper connection between mind, body, and spirit.
5. Mantra Meditation
Description: Mantra meditation involves silently repeating a sacred word, phrase, or sound (mantra) to focus the mind and induce a state of deep relaxation and inner peace. The repetition of the mantra serves as a point of concentration, helping to quiet the chatter of the mind and access deeper states of consciousness.
Benefits: Mantra meditation calms the mind, reduces stress, and enhances mental clarity. It deepens self-awareness, fosters spiritual growth, and cultivates a sense of connection to the divine within.
6. Transcendental Meditation (TM)
Description: Transcendental Meditation is a mantra-based technique where practitioners silently repeat a specific word or phrase (mantra) to access transcendent states of consciousness and deep relaxation. TM typically involves two 20-minute sessions per day.
Benefits: TM reduces stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. It enhances creativity, cognitive function, and overall mental clarity. Regular practice is associated with improved cardiovascular health and longevity.
7. Progressive Relaxation
Description: Progressive relaxation involves systematically tensing and relaxing different muscle groups in the body to release physical tension and induce a state of deep relaxation. Practitioners may start with the feet and work their way up to the head, consciously relaxing each muscle group.
Benefits: Progressive relaxation promotes physical relaxation, stress reduction, and relief from muscle tension and pain. It enhances body-mind awareness and fosters a sense of relaxation and well-being.
8. Metta Meditation (Loving-Kindness Meditation)
Description: Metta meditation cultivates feelings of compassion, kindness, and goodwill towards oneself and others. Practitioners repeat affirmations or phrases such as "May I be happy, may I be healthy, may I be safe," extending these wishes to loved ones, acquaintances, and even difficult individuals.
Benefits: Metta meditation enhances empathy, reduces negative emotions, and strengthens interpersonal relationships. It fosters a sense of connection and kindness towards oneself and the world.
Choosing Your Path
As you embark on your meditation journey, remember that there is no "right" or "wrong" practice—only the practice that resonates most deeply with your heart and soul. Explore different techniques, trust your intuition, and allow yourself to be guided by the wisdom of your innermost being.
Whether you're drawn to the simplicity of mindfulness, the spiritual depth of transcendental meditation, or the heart-opening embrace of loving-kindness, know that each moment of presence and self-discovery is a sacred step along the path to awakening.
May your exploration of meditation be filled with curiosity, compassion, and joy as you journey towards the inner peace and wisdom that dwells within.
