To the fanfiction readers, the late night scrollers, the ones who are trying to escape, to find a moment of peace, to find comfort or a safe place to land.

You're safe here. You are safe, you are loved and you are important. The world needs you and my dear sweet one, I promise you it will get better. Maybe not today or tomorrow but it will get better. People love you and are here for you.

You are valid, you are enough. I promise you that you are enough.

So take a deep breath and relax a little for me. I hope you find the fan art or the fanfiction you need. I hope you find comfort and safety here. I hope you know you're favorite character is waiting for you, they adore you and are so excited to see you.

The post I juat reblogged about my blorbo (Castiel) listening to construction noise ambience....like, he understands that music is Sounds That Humans Listen To To Receive Emotion, Often Loud (loud bc he hangs out with Dean) and what makes him emotional is humans making things in their own ways like the Tower of Babel. He likes the high pitched metal sanding noises bc it reminds him of angel truespeak. Not many things are 'loud' to him bc again, he's used to how angels talk to each other, so he likes the overwhelming noise of machinery but also the quiet parts where you can hear a hammer knocking in nails and people sharing a joke. He can't hear what the joke is, and if he did he probably wouldn't get it, but he likes that they laugh.

I also think he would like spending time in laundries for similar reasons.

Have you heard about a blog called truespeak? They post HORRIBLE gore. They tag it shit like PTSD recovery and shit like that. I literally just came across them. I didn't know what to do, I just wanted to see if anyone else has seen them. And if you haven't please don't look them up if you can't handle gore. They post beheaded picture. It's really fucking disgusting. I'm actually shaking.

That's gross. Gore doesn't bother me but I don't believe its allowed on this website, I'd say report them (anyone who can stomach going there that is)

Meet Deebu!

He is my Pathfinder character, a Kobold, and a devout worshiper of Apsu, the god of dragons. He was raised from an egg by his adoptive mother, the gold dragon Seorsylth, along with a clutch of similarly unique eggs. Much like Seorsylth’s older and more powerful relative, Mengkare, who dabbles in the guidance of mortal races with the island of Hermea, Seorsylth has decided to take the race of kobold-kind under her wing.

Seorsylth has paid a great deal of money for unique kobold eggs, and has searched far and wide for kobolds exhibiting uncommon features such as metallic scales or divine blood. She acts as parent to adopted eggs and village elder to kobold families, providing guidance, protection and teaching, especially with regard to the worship of Apsu. Great care is taken to minimize the expression of the vicious, evil and cruel nature most kobolds are prone to, and every kobold under Seorsylth’s protection is given careful instruction.

Deebu’s silver scales mark him as one of only a handful of his clansmen who exhibit a hint of divine heritage. He considered himself an excellent communicator, and during his 30 year stay under the tutelage of Seorsylth, he felt that all the causes of good might be achieved if only people would talk with one another. This view may have been formed by his ability to solve disputes among his peers with diplomacy, as well as his skill with languages. He was eager to to go on a quest to bring relief and happiness to surface dwellers far and wide. His ability to briefly transform into a larger, silver scaled lizardfolk has always been somewhat of a novelty. Not particularly useful but admirable to his peers.

Four years later that view has suffered quite a bit. He’s regularly attacked or fled from while travelling, and it took three settlements before he found a way to talk to someone before being run out of town. He started to form a better understanding of the kobolds he was told about but never fully internalized. Now he travels under the cover of darkness, using his darkvision to avoid other travelers or dangers.

Context- Earlier we were all gifted an item that would help us on our quest. I (The very young fang dragon) had gotten a key. I, the player, forgot about it. We arrived at a large door with a key hole oddly close to the bottom of the door

Truespeaker: “Okay [fang dragons name], would you open the door?”

Fang Dragon: “Why me? Is it because I’m small? Because I’m a dragon? Are you discriminating against me?”

Bard: “Yeah are you discriminating against her?”

Truespeaker: “No, I’m discriminating against the person with the KEY TO THE DOOR!”

There is extreme gore, so horrifying even for those with strong stomachs, and it's all tagged with various things it should not be in like PTSD recovery. Please look up how to report it and tumblr will ask for a url. This sick person claims to have a blog about free speech but free speech ends when you have potentially caused harm, in this case mental distress, to others. They need to be removed from this site altogether for purposefully trying to cause emotional distress to countless people. As much as I fucking hate this hellsite and don't care much about what goes on here, this is something I cannot let happen.

Hello again, sweet one, my late night scrollers, the early morning dreamers. I hope you're well, I hope today was better than yesterday.

I'm here to remind you that if there's an infinite number of universes, there's at least one where you are your comfort characters favorite person. They love and adore you for all your flaws and quirks and everything you hate about yourself, the same way you love all of their imperfections. There's a universe where they wait by the door for you every night, where they're your absolute best friend, where they take care of you and love you the way you should be loved.

You are so wonderful, did you know that? Every time you have a bad day, every time life tries to knock you down, you find the strength to get back up again. You keep going. Do you know how incredible that is? How proud your comfort character is of you for being able to do that? I'm so proud of you, I believe in you so much, and every day you make it through proves that I'm right to believe in you. We always knew you could do it, that you could make it to tomorrow.

I'll let you get back to your scrolling now, I bet you have so many stories just waiting for you, so many adventures and friendships to have. But before you go, I want to take a moment and remind you of something.

Anything that keeps you going, anything that makes the bad days better, anything that makes life even a little easier, is worth it. If fanfictions and comfort characters help you get through the day, then I hope you find the exact stories you need. Life is so hard and so scary, and sometimes it's easier to lose ourselves in the worlds of our comfort characters, and that's more than okay. Whatever keeps you going isn't anything to be ashamed of. Making it to tomorrow to read the next chapter of a fanfiction or a new edit of your comfort character is a valid reason to keep going.

I hope tomorrow is better than today, and that one day you won't need a reason to keep going, but for now, I'll give you this one. Your comfort character wants you to stay. They will always want you to stay. I want you to stay. I'm always here if anyone needs a friend.

Oooh! I think I got a good ask! Okay! You're transported to a fantasy world a la Final Fantasy along with six of your Tumblr mutuals and have to battle your way through it to save the both their and our world! You get to choose the mutuals and their class! Which 6 do you choose, what are their classes, and why those classes?!

This is a phenomenal ask and I applaud the effort you’ve put into this. And I’m honestly torn, because I’m the sort that wouldn’t ever want to put the people I care about in harm’s way. If we’re going on adventure full of danger to save not one, but two worlds, it’s important that we’re capable enough to handle it. Ideally, I wouldn’t be bringing anyone else along unless they asked, and even then the responsibility here falls to me - and I can’t willingly put people on the front line without feeling guilty. So if you don’t find yourself on this list... it’s a matter of that I honestly don’t want to bring anyone. The people here are here because if I had to choose six to come with me, based on whom I trust the most and who I know would be able to stick with me, and who I know have skills that would bring an edge to the table for us to succeed.

First mutual is @laborofhate who will be taking up the mantle of GLORIOUS BATTLE BROTHER my second in command, the Guardian. A shield, a mentor, a protector of the people and a bastion against the enemy. Armed with a shield and blade, a front line fighter with a heart just as strong as his stance. I know him IRL and he’s seen me through some of the worst parts of my life. I wouldn’t be sitting here without him helping get me through that. And if there’s anyone I want at my back, it’s him.

Next up is going to be @exxos-von-steamboldt who I can only imagine to be a Truespeaker - a mage who gains power from speaking ancient languages and invoking their words of power, and reconstructing them. I need someone who would be able to easily adapt to the fantasy world and Exxos could easily help us adapt, both in and out of combat. After all, Exxos works quite a bit with conlangs and such, and having talked with them, they are an incredibly smart and monumentally amazing individual; the perfect sort to sit in a generalist mage spot on my party.

Third, I’d go with @why-the-nightingale-sings who would take the spot of the Mesmer. If playing RPGs has taught me anything, there’s got to be a bard type, someone to be the face of the party; someone who can wow the crowd, who can persuade, seduce, and distract. Not only are they an amazingly talented actor and singer, but they’ve got no problem in front of a crowd, and a penchant for magic is right up their alley. Their abilities and talents cannot go underappreciated, no matter what situation we end up in.

I’d also bring @dildo-tbaggins in the unusual class of the Absurdist. The Absurdist is cognizant of the fourth wall, able to harness fantasy tropes and bend them to their will, as well as being able to handle themselves as a dervish of blades and fearlessness. If there’s someone who has been playing RPGs as long as I have, it’s him, and he’s got more of a mastery of them than I do. Not to mention, he’s something of a jester and could provide a key morale boost to the party, and maybe a bit of a luck boost as well. Having him around would definitely help, and I know for a fact he’d be able to handle himself being thrust into an unexpected situation such as saving the world.

@sucre-princess is up as the designated Healer, who has the skills and abilities to hold us together when the quest wears us down. She’s an amazing individual in her own right, but she’s also an EMT in training. That sort of training can’t at all go underestimated, especially when the fate of worlds are at stake and we’re going to get involved in some combat at the very least. Combo that with some fancy new healing magic, and she’d be good to go to keep us all fighting fit even when we’re low on mana, or whatever magical resource this world uses. She’s also someone that I trust absolutely and as much as I don’t want to at all put her in harms way, having her close would help so much.

Last but not least, I’d bring along @satanicairpirate as the Pilot. What good is a Final Fantasy style world without some way to traverse it in style. And someone who can keep the vehicle ready to ride, who isn’t afraid to be roguish and keep the airship (I’m taking the liberty of declaring us to have an airship because Airships are awesome) ready for when we go into battle is exactly what I’d like. And a nocturnal Serbian asskicking lass who can go drink for drink with me is EXACTLY who I want driving the airship.

It’s a crew of people I trust, people I know would be able to handle themselves and who, when push comes to shove, I’d want in my corner. As for me? I’m the Tactician. The kind to sit in front of the maps, pinned to the table with knives as books are scattered and strewn across the room filled with spells and lore, finding an edge and putting together a plan. Figuring out a plan to save both worlds is my job, with sword and spell.

Just a small reminder today: it's okay if getting up was too hard. It's okay if the dishes in the sink piled up and are now overwhelming. It's okay if it's hard to get laundry done or make dinner. It's okay if the simple and mundane things in life seem insurmountable right now.

One day they won't be. One day you'll wake up and be able to get everything done. For now take it in bite-sized pieces and reward yourself for every little victory. Life is hard enough without being cruel to ourselves over things we struggle with.

Be kind to yourself, give yourself the same amount of understanding and grace you give others. Know that you are loved, you are important and you matter.

From the fellow fanfic addict who scrolls Tumblr looking for escape, who still cries when she's overwhelmed by life, who's learning to take things one day at a time. You are not alone and I believe in you. No matter who you are, I promise I do.

I hope tomorrow is better than today. If there's an infinite number of universes, then there's so many where you are so loved by the characters you love, imperfections and all.

Have you drank water today? Drop your shoulders and remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth. Take a deep breath. Thank you sweet one, I'm proud of you.

Here's a motivating thought for you before you keep scrolling. Your least favorite character, the one that makes you spit nails and want to scream. Who makes your blood boil, who hurt your comfort character, they think you can't do this. They think you're not enough that you can't achieve anything. Prove. Them. Wrong. Let that motivate you, that this garbage horrid character thinks you can't, say fuck you to them and show that you can.

You're comfort character believes you can do it and so do I. You are worth more then you can ever know, you are loved, you are important and you are enough. I'll let you get back to your scrolling and hope one day you'll see yourself the way your comfort character and I do.
