July 1 Random Word Almost-Drabble: Piano
Word count: 123
Eames sits on the piano bench, lit by nothing but a moonbeam, delicately touching the keys. An old, familiar melody. One he’s known since childhood. There’s a shuffle of movement across the room. Someone approaches, sitting beside him. Leaning into him. Eames’ hands never falter.
“Clair de lune?” Arthur asks. Eames hums in reply. “A bit cliche, don’t you think?”
Eames keeps playing, but Arthur sees him smile.
“What? Playing a song called “Moonbeam” in the moonlight?”
“Exactly.”
The song crescendos. Arthur drops his head to Eames’ shoulder, not minding the movement of his lover’s arms as he plays. After a moment, he says quietly, “It’s beautiful.”
The last note fades. Eames turns to look at Arthur, eyes shining with affection.
“I know.”

Sometimes random words pop up in my brain. Today's word is 'ubiquitous'. My brain just keeps repeating it over and over. I don't know why this happens. I don't know why I'm posting this.

Random Word - Speech
i like this asymmetrical E/E, just looks really retrofuturistic n stuff. sp/ch i was really lucky with the P and the c. could probably improve the x-heights a bit but eh this is practice in structure not design

i love the…. almost horror aspects of this album. all the references to ghosts and death…. and sonically, the unexpected shrieking in WAOLOM and the banging and screaming during “old habits die screaming” and even the way the tension subtly builds across the sixteen tracks and by the end you’re so stressed and shaken it’s like! losing your sense of self and feeling like you’ve become a monster is horror. and i’m sooooo glad she leaned into it
