You Never Called It What It Was
Pairing: Peter Parker x Avengers!reader
Synopsis: you and Peter are friends with benefits who never admit your true feelings for each other until Peter gets hurt on a mission
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“What are you working on?”
You smiled when you heard Peters voice behind you but didn’t take your attention off the paper open on your laptop. You liked to play hard to get, and he liked to play until he got you.
“School work. Remember that?” You teased him.
“I remember. I just chose not to do it until it’s absolutely necessary.“ Peter shrugged and put his hands on either of your shoulders. He started to lazily rub his thumbs into your neck and you knew what he was looking for.
“That attitude is why you’re number two in the class.”
“Oh yeah? And who’s number one? Remind me.” Peter asked as he spun your swivel chair around to face him.
“That’d be me.” You smiled coyly. Peter returned the smile before leaning in for a long and slow kiss.
“Are you really gonna spend your Friday night doing homework? Because I can think of a hundred other fun things we could he doing right now.” He said once he pulled away.
“Oh really? Like what?
“Why tell you when I could just show you?” Peter asked before kissing you again. You shut your laptop without breaking the kiss and wrapped your arms around his neck.
“Your room or mine?” He asked against your lips.
“When’s the last time you washed your sheets?”
“I don’t know. When’s the last time you slept over?”
“Gross.” You laughed. “Meet me in my room in ten.”
You didn’t exactly when your friendship with Peter turned into a little more. Living in the tower together made it inevitable that you’d end up falling for each other, especially after all the late nights you would spend up and talking to the other. It was so routine for you to spend the night in each others rooms that you could hardly remember a time when you didn’t. And despite the fact that you both told yourselves you were content with being friends with benefits, you couldn’t help but want more each time you hooked up.
A few nights later, Peter knocked on your door and pushed it open slightly, finding you in your bed with a book resting on your knees.
“Hey, pretty lady.” He said as he knocked on your doorframe.
“When are you gonna get a real girlfriend and stop bothering me?” You teased him and shut your book.
“When you admit your feels for me and run away together as lovers.” He shrugged, making you smile.
“I’m pretty sure we already are lovers.” You laughed and patted the spot beside you on your bed. Peter wasted no time in sitting next to you and moving hair off your forehead.
“Is that what you call it?” He asked. His tone was playful but his eyes looked genuine. He wanted it know what you were but you didn’t have an answer to give.
“I guess so. I mean, it’s not like we’re dating or anything. But we’re definitely not just coworkers.”
“No. Course not.” Peter said through a laugh but you could tell it hurt him when you said you weren’t dating.
“We’re just…” You trailed off and shrugged.
“Friends?” He asked with a sad smile.
“Yeah. Who are really, really, extra friendly.” You smiled as you leaned in to connect your lips to his. Peter kissed you back and cupped your face to pull you closer to him. He gently laid you down on the bed and shot a web at the door to close and lock it.
“Do you treat any of your other friends like this?” He asked you between kisses.
“No. I save this all for you, P.”
“Good.” He smiled. “I want you all to myself.”
Cue PG-13 rom com level “morning after” shot where they’re tangled in the sheets and a soft song plays while they stare at each other.
“I should probably head back to my room.” Peter said, though that wasn’t what he wanted to do. Your eyes were shut and you were laying on his chest, tightening your grip when he suggested leaving.
“You don’t have to. If you’re tired, just go to sleep.” You said without opening your eyes. Peter looked down at you to see if you were serious but you were hardly awake.
“Do you want me to stay?” He asked quietly.
“I don’t care.” You said through a yawn and held him tighter. Peter didn’t said anything and you got the feeling he wasn’t sure what he should do. You opened one eye and checked on him and sure enough, he looked as conflicted as ever.
“Yes. I do. I want you to stay.” You admitted. You felt Peter relax and lay his head back back on the pillow. He slipped an arm around you and held you close while resting his cheek on your head.
“Thanks. I wanted to stay.” He said softly.
“Shh. Go to sleep.”
“Okay. Goodnight.” He said and you could tell he was smiling.
“Goodnight, P.”
After a day where Peter didn’t see or hear from you, he was pleasantly surprised to see you in his doorway once the sun had set.
“Hey.” You smiled and waved to him.
“Hey. Come here.” He sat up and motioned you to come closer. You smiled and went to his bed to crawl into his lap. You straddled his hips by sliding your legs under his propped up arms and kissed him hello before settling into his arms.
“Missed you. I haven’t seen you all day.” He playfully whined as he toyed with your hair.
“I know. I was at the beach with my friends.”
“Was it fun?”
“Yeah. It was weird though.”
“Weird? Why?”
“When I was with them, I kept turning to my left thinking you were there.” You laughed shyly as you sat up to look at him. Peter scooted closer to you and wrapped his arms around your waist.
“What?” Peter laughed too. “Did you forget I didn’t go?”
“No.” You shrugged. “I just found myself missing you. I wanted you to be there.”
Peter couldn’t hide the blush that painted his face when he heard that you missed him. He missed you all the time when you weren’t around, so it was nice to hear the feeling was being reciprocated.
“You can invite me next time. Then you won’t have to miss me.” Peter said with a shy smile.
“You wouldn’t want to hang out with my friends.” You laughed and shook your head.
“Yes I would. If you like them, I’d probably like them too. They’re an extension of you and I…like you.” He stumbled over his words and squeezed his eyes shut when he realized what he had said.
“Maybe I will invite you then. They’ve been dying to meet you.”
“So you talk about me to them, huh?” He smiled cheekily.
“Of course I do. I tell them about everything that’s ever happened to me.” You said causally. Peters smile faltered a little and you realized you accidentally made it seem like Peter was just another little meaningless detail of your life.
“Plus, they’re all jealous that I’m living with the guy I’m sleeping with and therefore get some every single night.” You added, making him smile again. But this smile was different. It was sadder this time.
“Is that what you refer to me as around them? The guy you’re sleeping with?” He joked but felt disappointed.
“No. I call you Peter.” You said simply.
“Oh. Good. That’s better.” Peter relaxed again and drummed his fingertips on your waistband.
“Why? What do you call me?” You wondered.
“I never know what to call you. I usually just end up referring to you as my girl.” Peter shyly admitted.
“I don’t hate that.” You shrugged, making Peter smile hopefully.
“You don’t?”
“No. I actually think it’s cute. It’s not as constricting as “girlfriend” but still lets people know I hold a special place.” You said and cupped his face just to get a better look at his. His hair was messy and his face was flushed
“Well, good.” Peter blushed under your touch. “I’m glad you like it. I’ll keep calling you that, then.”
“Good.” You felt your face heat up too as you looked at him. His expression changed from playful to serious as he tilted his chin up to kiss you. He kissed you long and slow, just because he wanted to kiss you. He didn’t expect anything from you tonight. He just wanted to be around you.
“Do you want to watch a movie? I was just gonna put on Grown Ups 2.” He said once he pulled away.
“But I’ve never seen the first one.” You said as you laughed at his choice of movie.
“You don’t need to.” He waved his hand. “All you need to know is that they’re grown ups and this is the second time they’ve done that.”
“Sounds perfect.” You laughed again and slid off his lap so that you could lay beside him in the bed. You snuggled into his side while he played the movie on his laptop.
You woke up the next morning in Peters arms. That wasn’t unusual for you, but something felt different about this particular morning. You sat up and rubbed your tired eyes before looking at his floor. The string of discarded clothing that usual dawned his floor the night after you slept over wasn’t there since all of your clothes were still on. You looked down at Peter and felt a sinking feeling in your chest. He stirred awake and slowly opened his eyes just as you were coming to terms with it all.
“Hey. Good morning.” Peter said through a yawn while he rubbed your back.
“We didn’t hook up last night.” You said, mostly to yourself.
“Yeah, no. We just watched the movie and fell asleep.” Peter shrugged and tried to pull you back down to cuddle. You pulled away from him and quickly got out of the bed.
“I should go. I didn’t mean to sleep over. Sorry.” You said as you backed up towards his door.
“I don’t care.” Peter laughed like it was silly. “You can sleep over whenever you want. You know that.”
“I know. But we’ve never just had a sleepover before.” You said and held yourself tightly. Peter could sense that you were freaking out about something so he got out the bed and put his hands on your shoulders.
“Hey, it’s okay. It doesn’t mean anything.” He assured you. You relaxed when Peter said that, which broke his heart. It did mean something to him, a lot actually. But you seemed like you didn’t want it to mean anything, so he pretended he felt the same.
The next day, you walked into the kitchen where the rest of the team was and went straight to where Peter was sitting. You’d relaxed about the night before and tried not to think about it anymore. You put your feet into his lap and stole a piece of toast off his plate while the other Avengers watched you.
“So are you guys dating now or what?” Tony asked casually as he popped a grape in his mouth.
“What? No.” You answered immediately. Peters head snapped to you when he heard how quick you answered and felt his heart sink.
“Yeah. No.” Peter nodded his head without taking his eyes off you. Tony gave Peter a look that said he didn’t believe Peter for a second.
“Really? Because I’m not sure if you know the definition of dating or not, but you’re following it exactly.” Tony said sarcastically.
“It’s just sex.” You shrugged, making Peter feel even worse.
“Is it? Because I’ve seen you doing plenty of non-sexual romantic activities together.” Natasha added in.
“So what? That doesn’t mean we’re dating. It comes with the package of being friends with benefits.” You replied all too quickly for Peters liking.
“I never really understood the whole “with benefits” things. If you like someone’s company enough to consider them a friend and also trust them with your body and desire them in a non-platonic way, why not just date? What’s the point of you two sleeping together every night and cuddling on the couch if you’re not gonna admit you’re in a relationship?” Pepper added in her thoughts.
“Because we’re not in a relationship.” You said definitively. “We’re friends who like to get a little extra friendly. That doesn’t mean I want to be anybody’s girlfriend.”
“Your generation is so weird. You literally are his girlfriend. Why can’t you just call it what it is?” Tony asked you.
“Because we’re not dating.” You laughed in annoyance. “And I don’t want to be dating. I just want to hook up. It’s really just that simple.”
“Yeah. It’s simple. It’s not complicated or confusing at all.” Peter added. He’d been silent for so long that you had forgotten he was there. You felt bad for getting so defensive without thinking of how it would make him feel.
“I don’t believe it. There is no way you two are doing what you’re doing and not catching feelings. You’re either lying to us right now, lying to each other, or lying to yourselves.” Tony replied. Peter looked at you to see how you felt about that, and you didn’t like it at all.
“This conversation is stupid. I’m disengaging.” You said as you got up and left the kitchen.
“It’s okay to want love.” Tony called after you.
“Disengaged.” You shouted back. Once you were gone, everyone looked at Peter tinder his reaction. It was very obvious to the room that he felt the exact opposite to what you said.
“I’m in love with-“ Peter began.
“We know.” They all said in unison.
That night, you were determined to put some space between you and Peter. So when he came and found you on the balcony, you kept your plan at the front of your mind and prepared to say no to any and all of his advances.
“Hey.” He said as he sat beside you.
“Hey.” You said without looking up from your laptop.
“Do you want to watch Grown Ups 1 and make out during the scary parts?”
“I’m not really in the mood tonight. Sorry, P.” You replied, already feeling guilty for how cold you were being.
“You don’t have to apologize. It’s all good.” Peter assured you. “Do you want to hang out at least?”
“I’m kinda busy tonight. Maybe some other time?” You asked and finally looked at him.
“Then can I just sit here and watch?” He asked in a soft voice as he sat on the edge of the desk.
“Watch me do homework?”
“I just want to be in your company.” He shrugged. You gulped and had to look away or else you’d cave in to those big brown eyes of his.
“Why?” You played dumb.
“I don’t know. Because I like to be around you.” He shrugged and felt his face heat up. You knew he was expecting the girl who said she missed him when he wasn’t around, but you couldn’t be that girl anymore. You had to set some boundaries before you ended up in a relationship.
“Actually, I think I’m gonna go to bed. I’ve done enough work today.” You said and shut your laptop.
“Oh. Okay. Yeah. I’m tired too. I’ll walk you to your room.” Peter said and followed you to your room. You turned to face him once you were in your doorway and felt a new sense of awkwardness between you.
“Well, goodnight.” You said and did finger guns at him.
“Goodnight.” He said and slipped an arm around your waist. He kissed your cheek and you felt yourself tear up at the kind gesture. He was being so good to you and you were being so cold. He turned to leave and you felt your heart following him out the door.
“Peter, wait.”
“Yes?” He stopped immediately and came back.
“Did you want to sleep here?” You asked and pointed to your bed over your shoulder.
“No. That’s okay. I can tell you want to be alone.” Peter said with no self pity in his voice. He was just reading your cues and for some reason, that made you feel even worse.
“And I can tell you don’t want to be. You can stay. We can be alone together.”
“Okay.” Peter smiled and went into your room. He climbed into your bed and you got in after him. You held him and let him be the little spoon to make up for being mean to him. It didn’t take long for Peter to fall asleep but you didn’t have the same luck. Your mind was racing with too many thoughts as you tried to figure out how your plan to put some distance between you and Peter ended up with him in your arms. The more you thought about why you couldn’t just reject him like he was any other boy, the more the answer became clear.
“Oh fuck.” You whispered. “I love him.”
Now that you knew you had fallen for Peter, you had to end things. You couldn’t keep sleeping with him now that you knew you wanted more. So when Peter woke up the next morning, you were already gone. He frowned in confusion and went into the kitchen to find you.
“Has anyone seen Y/n?” Peter asked the team.
“Your girlfriend is off on a run.” Tony said without looking up from his magazine.
“Without me?” Peter wondered out loud and walked out of the room. He walked back in a few seconds later with his finger in the air.
“And she’s not my-“
“We know.” Tony groaned and waved Peter away.
Peter hung around in the foyer until finally, you came through the door. You gave him a quick smile and went to walk past him without saying anything.
“Hey. I was looking for you.” Peter said as he put his hand on your stomach to physically stop you. He looked so different now that you knew you were in love with him. Someone you once considered your best friend now felt impossible to talk to.
“You found me. Bye.” You quickly dismissed yourself but Peter caught you by the arm and gently pulled you back.
“Wait. I didn’t expect you to be gone this morning when I woke up.” He said quietly so no one could overhear.
“I had to leave early. I wanted to run to clear my head.”
“You should’ve woken me up. I would’ve come with you.” Peter told you. You folded your lips into a tight line and he immediately read your mind.
“Unless you wanted to clear your head of me.” He realized as he added up all your recent behavior.
“Look, Peter, it’s nothing personal.” You sighed. “I’ve been thinking about it for a minute and last night confirmed it for me. I don’t I want to hook up with you anymore.”
“Oh.” Peter blinked a few times in shock. “Okay. Woah. Um, did I do something wrong?”
“No. I just think we should start seeing other people. I think it will be good for the both of us to branch out.” You lied. You couldn’t tell him how you really felt, so you had to bury your feelinsg under a bunch of lies.
“You want to see other guys?” He asked, sounded heartbroken at the thought.
“Maybe not right away. But I think you and I should go back to being just friends.”
“Are you sure I didn’t do anything? If I said something stupid in my sleep last night that offended you or something I’m really sorry. I get weird dreams if I eat too late.”
“It’s not that. It’s not anything. I just don’t want to hook up with you anymore.” You shrugged and struggled to maintain eye contact with him knowing you were lying through your teeth and hurting him in the process.
“Is that all we were doing?” He asked, making you freeze. That was never all you were doing. It was just all you would admit to.
“Yes.” You said after a long beat of silence. Peter stared at you for a long time to give you a chance to take that back and admit you meant more to each other then just a fling. But you didn’t have the courage to do it, so he just ended up disappointed.
“Okay. If that’s your decision-“
“It is.” You said quickly, wanting to leave before you started to cry.
“Okay.” He nodded and gave you a tight smile. He put his hand on your arm as if he was going to lean in and kiss you, but then settled for a soft punch on the arm instead. He walked away from you and you felt your heart shatter.
You were all called in on mission the next day that required you to take the jet. You got there first and bounced your leg as you waited for Peter. He didn’t come by your room the night before which you expected, but still felt disappointed over. Peter finally walked on to the jet and looked around for an empty seat. There was one right next to you, which you patted to let him know he could sit there. He looked at it for a second before going to sit somewhere else. You blinked a few times in confusion before getting up to go sit next to him.
“There was a spot next to me.” You whispered to him as everyone else buckled up.
“I know.” He said without looking at you. You stared at him for a while and tried to read his face but he was turned away.
“We always sit next to each other.” You said quietly.
“I guess I just don’t want to do that anymore. I want to sit next to other people.”” He replied. You knew he was referencing what you had said to him about seeing other people and sighed.
“I thought we were going to being normal.” You whispered. Peter looked down at his lap for a minute before looking at you.
“I don’t know if I can just switch back to being normal.”
“Why not? It was just-“
“I know.” He cut you off. “Just sex. Just a fling. Just a meaningless hook up that ended once I left your bed. Trust me. I know how you feel.”
“P-“
“I gotta go.” Peter got up again and went to go sit somewhere else. You looked up and could see Tony looking at you with a displeased look. You sighed and shrunk down in your seat, not talking to anyone else as the jet took off. You couldn’t even accuse Peter of being a baby over you not wanting to sleep together anymore because you knew it wasn’t about that. It was about you acting like your relationship wasn’t what it was.
The mission went smoothly from your part and you completed your jobs with ease. You circled back to find the rest of the team but when you got there, you found everyone but Peter.
“Where’s Peter?” You asked. Everyone avoided eye contact with you and a pit grew in your stomach.
“Where’s Peter?” You asked again and pushed on the person closest to you.
“He’s in the next room.” Steve answered you without looking in your eyes. You pushed past everyone and ran onto the next room to go find him. When you got inside, you found Peter on the floor in a pool of blood. Tony was using his suit to try and repair a hole in Peters side.
“What happened?” You asked as you dropped to your knees at Peters side.
“Who me? Oh, nothing. I’m fine.” Peter smiled weakly waved his hand.
“Fine? You have a bullet hole in your side.” You exclaimed and took his hand to let him know you were there.
“It’s okay. It doesn’t even hurt that bad.” Peter lied before coughing up some blood. Everyone piled into the room to see Peter and you could hear them winced and murmuring at the sight of him. He was bleeding out quickly and Tony’s nanite spray wasn’t enough to stop it.
“We need to get him to the jet.” You said to Tony, who was looking at Peter in despair.
“The jet? We need to get him to the morgue.” Sam mumbled. You grabbed a random rock and threw it at him.
“Shut up!” You screamed as panicked tears fell down your face.
“I was just kidding. Damn. She threw a rock at me.” Sam mumbled and kicked the rock.
“He’s really hurt. We have to get him to the jet.” You said and went to scoop Peter up.
“This is gonna hurt.” Tony warned him.
“A little or a lottle?” Peter winced.
“Lottle, kid.” Tony said apologetically.
“Oh. Joy.” Peter groaned as you picked him up. You ran with him onto the jet. You laid him down on the table while Tony got out the medical supplies on hand.
“I don’t have any Novocain. Can you distract him while I fix this?” Tony whispered to you and held up the needle he had to use to stitch Peter up.
“Distract him how?” You asked.
“I don’t know. He’s your guy. Talk to him.” Tony hissed at you and gave you a stern look. You backed down and nodded your head to show him you understood that it was time to grow up. Peter was your guy and it was time to admit that. You slipped your hand into his again and knelt down to be close to his face.
“It’s okay. I know you don’t want to talk to me.” Peter smiled while tears slipped down his face.
“Yes I do. I always want to talk to you.”
“But you haven’t lately. I didn’t think you wanted to be friends anymore.”
“Peter-“
“It’s okay.” He assured you. “It’s okay if you don’t want to be my friend. I just miss you. Thanks for holding my hand.”
“I need to tell you something, P.” You sighed and brushed the hair off his face. Peter was struggling to fight the pain of being stitched up but still gave you his full attention.
“I’m sorry I’ve been distant lately. And I’m sorry I never explained why and just let you think you did something wrong. The truth is, I pushed you away because I was scared that our relationship was turning into more than just friends with benefits. I didn’t know how to handle the fact that this wasn’t just a fling anymore.”
“You never called it what it was.” Peter croaked out. “When the team was saying you were my girlfriend, you seemed angry that anyone could ever think that.”
“I know. And I’m sorry. I just got defensive because I was still trying to repress my feelings. I’m sorry I said all those things. I didn’t mean them.”
“What did you mean?” Peter asked quietly. Everyone was leaning in to listen but you pretended not to notice. You looked up at Tony and he nodded to tell you the time was now. You nodded back before looked down at Peter again.
“I love hooking up with you but I also love talking to you and hearing your opinions on things and the way you interpreted a song lyric or a movie scene. I love showing you shows I love and waiting to see which parts you find funny so I can laugh too. I love seeing your reaction to my stories and hearing about your day, even when you didn’t do anything exciting. I listening to the music you had in your iPod as a little kid and hearing what songs you could never forget the lyrics to, even if you tried. And if I love all those things, I guess I just love you. I freaked out when I realized that and thought if I stayed away from you, those feelings would go away. But they didn’t. I love you still.“ You told him. Everyone exchanged looks but held their tongues as your confession was heard through the jet. Peter broke into a smile that sent pain through his entire body.
“Normally this would be the part where I heroically kiss you and everyone claps, but I’m numb below my neck and about to pass out. So can you kiss me?“ Peter requested, making you smile until you saw the blood streaming from his lip and nose.
“You’re like…bleeding out of your nose and mouth.” You said with a smile so he didn’t know you were grossed out.
“Can you do it anyway? Please?” Peter asked and coughed up some more blood. You couldn’t say no to those eyes so you bent down and kissed him for a long time. When you pulled away, you gagged at the taste of blood in your mouth and Peter grimaced at the sight of his blood on your face.
“That’s gross. You were right. We should’ve waited.” Peter laughed and started coughing again.
“We’ll try it again when you’re cleaned up.” You assured him.
“Good.” He smiled. “But I’m gonna pass out now. I’ll see you when you wake up.”
Peter did in fact see you when he woke up. You had all made it back on the jet and rushed Peter to extensive care. By the time he woke up, he was healing nicely and all cleaned up. More importantly, you were right there in the doorway watching the doctor dress his wound. He slowly opened his eyes and saw you, then saw the doctor. He was about to ask him to leave to give you and him some privacy to talk about what you had said on the jet, but you beat him to it. You touched the doctors arm as you sat down on Peters hospital bed and held his hand.
“Excuse us, doc.” You smiled politely. “Thank you so much for the help. But I need a minute alone with my boyfriend.”

Wait a minute, who are you?
Pairing: Peter Parker (mcu) x Reader
Genre: fluff,angst
Word Count: 6.5K
Summary: Peter's been hiding something...
Warnings: mentions of sex, small talk of an old creepy man being an old creepy man
(Part 2 of CRUSH but can be read alone.)
-----------------------------------
Why was Peter Parker refusing you?
Scratch that, why is your boyfriend rejecting you?
He surely had no issue letting you crawl into his lap after placing the computer in his lap to the left side of his bed, and he definitely didn’t have an issue when his raised eyebrows in question were silenced when you pulled him in for a bruising kiss by the collar of his muted flannel.
But funny enough when you started to trail your hands down to meet the skin beneath the thick cotton, just aching to slide your hands under his shirt and over his toned muscle, and rest your cool palms on his hot, beating chest, his hands caught yours in one.
You almost froze into the kiss, he’s never denied you like this.
You steadied your movements and when he noticed your lack of exploration he loosened the hold on your wrists, your hands this time traveling back up, taking a moment to ease him into your next move. You pulled back for a quick breath and resumed, this time you brought your hands down to the buttons of his flannel, you were barely able to pop one on his chest before he held each hand in his.
Peter pulled away from you, his one word was a whisper.
“No.”
Your turn to be confused, because, what?
“No?”
“No.” He shook his head lightly.
“Can I ask why?” He’s never stopped you before, but maybe he’s just not in the mood.
“I just don’t want to tonight.” Peter shrugged his shoulders casually.
But Peter does want to, it’s just that he has a black and purple bruise on quite literally the entire right side of his body. There was no avoiding the questioning, he’s gotten pretty lucky so far, nothing too concerning on his face or body that he couldn’t just play off. But this time he couldn’t think of a story that could justify that, and sometimes when he’s battered he’s had to wait until it was dark in his room, the only light is the moon peaking in the blinds. Or he would have to switch positions for the night, just to get you to keep from looking his way.
And Peter knows it wrong, and one day he’s gonna get caught in something that makes him confess before he’s ready and it will be a bigger issue than it should, but part of him likes that he’s just Peter with you and even though he knows he’s making the wrong decision he doesn’t want to tell you anything until you ask.
You tilt your head at him and purse your lips, trying to see if he was playing at something.
He looked genuine.
“Okay. Do you want to keep making out or do something else? I saw Battleship in your cupboard the other day, I’m sure I could kick your ass.” You grinned at him and played with the lapels of his collar while you waited for a response.
“Hmm, makeout please. Then kick my ass.”
He pulled you in for a kiss, and you tried to be respectful of his no. But old habits die hard and when lost in a daze of Peter’s tongue grazing your own you ground your hips into his. In an act of apology you placed your hand on his waist and squeezed lightly, you pulled from him slightly to mutter an apology.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean-”
Peter’s face scrunched up, almost like you hurt him.
You glanced at the hand on his waist and grabbed again, he grunted this time. You directed your gaze at him.
“What’s wrong?”
“Hm? Nothing, you’re good. C’mere.”
You pulled your head back.
“No. What’s wrong?”
“Nothings wrong, I dont know what you mean.”
You narrowed your eyes and squeezed. Peter did his best attempt at a poker face but you did it tightly this time, and even you saw the wobble of his lip in betrayal.
“That doesn’t hurt?”
“No.”
“Bullshit.”
“I’m fine, baby.” He leaned in for a kiss, if you didn’t know better you would think it’s a distraction.
You squeezed again and this time he removed your hand from him and placed it on his thigh.
“Then let me see.” You tried to move the shirt up but his hand laid on top of yours.
“See what? Nothing is there.”
“Then let me see.”
“No.”
“Peter!” You whined his name, why was he acting like this?
“Y/N.” He kept his tone neutral, not a good sign. He was getting annoyed.
You wanted to see how far you could push him.
“Are you sore?”
He sighed, he knew in his heart he should’ve just taken up the offer for Battleship.
“No, I’m fine. I promise.”
“Are you hurt?”
“I just said I was fine, baby.”
You pouted at his claim, it was a bold face lie and you both knew it. In a quick moment you raced to throw his shirt up but he locked his hands around your wrists quicker than you could finish the plan.
“Stop.” He was serious this time, no more playing.
You knew he was over the interrogation by his grip, it didn’t hurt but it was tight. He was subtly hinting he would throw you off him if you didn’t stop.
Peter knows you’re confused and probably a little hurt because you knew he was lying and worse, hiding something he didn’t want you to see. He wonders what you’re thinking, if he’s sore from a new workout, or if he has hickeys all over he doesn’t want you to see, or maybe you were really just thinking why he didn’t trust you.
You held your hands up in surrender, this wasn’t fun anymore.
“Okay, I’m sorry. I won’t ask again, maybe it’s sepsis and you’re dying. It’s fine, no big deal.” You lightly teased him, trying to show you weren’t trying to corner him. You just cared.
Peter rolled his eyes, “It’s not sepsis.”
“Oh, so you admit it?”
“Admit what?”
“It’s something.”
Peter just looked in your eyes with pursed lips, both of you refused to break eye contact. The room was silent and unmoving for a solid minute.
“I think it’s time for battleship.”
Peter tapped your thighs to get you to get off him so he could stand up and set up the game, you crossed your arms over your chest and challenged him for a moment, calling his bluff. Was he really about to ignore the whole situation?
The answer was yes, he was just blinking back at you and looked confused as to why you weren’t moving off him. He was prepared to let you win, he was just gonna say you were hitting ships even when you weren’t, just to make you feel like you won something against him.
You huffed and pushed off of him.
“Fine. But don’t let me win, I’m going to kick your ass just because I can.”
And even though you kept putting the largest ship in the same place, Peter let you win.
—--------------------------------------------
“Ouch, what’s that from?”
You frowned at the small graze across Peter’s face, a superficial cut that ran over his right cheek. You placed a light kiss to the mark as if you could heal it instantly.
“I was walking down 5th and May called and I dropped my phone. When I picked it up I stood back up into a bush, got me a good one.”
“It looks like you got hit with something.” (He did.)
You ran your thumb over the injury.
“Yeah, Mother Nature.”
“That’s not a fight I think you can win, dear. But, now my boyfriend looks like a tough guy.”
Peter can get behind that idea, some big strong man you hide behind who doesn’t take shit from anyone.
“Ah, does that do something for you? I can start picking fights if that’s what you want.”
You scrunch your nose at his teasing, “Nah. I love my soft, mushy boyfriend. He’s so nice and kind, he could never hurt anyone.” (He could.)
And those are the kind of comments that make him feel bad, because how was he supposed to tell you he actually is picking fights and isn’t so nice and kind sometimes.
Too bad your hug is crushing him and all he can feel is what he thinks is the right decision.
—-------------------------------------------------------------
“Ah! Fuck, what the fuck!”
Your heart raced and you held a hand over your chest to try and regulate the pulses. Your senses bounced off the brick around you, in an effort to catch your breath from the fright you breathed heavily for a second.
“You scared the fuck out of me.”
“Sorry! I thought you heard me!”
The red and blue hero dropped behind you and didn’t say a word until you felt someone watching you and turned ready to scream out ‘Fire!’ and had the daylights scared out of you.
“It’s fine, just got my blood racing a little.”
“What’s up? Long time no see.”
It’s true. You hadn’t seen the masked vigilante for a moment, he was never around or at least wasn’t around when you were.
“Nothing much. My birthday is about to come up, Peter and I are coming up on six months. But, we're also in a rough patch right now, so yeah. That’s fun.”
Rough patch?
You were in a rough patch?
“Rough patch?”
“Yeah. It’s whatever, I’m sure it’s fine.” You shrugged but if you were being honest you were actually kind of losing sleep over it.
“What do you mean?”
Yeah, what do you mean?
“Uh, he’s hiding something from me. And I can’t tell if it’s something big or not, and I’ve really been trying to be cool but if I’m being honest it’s really starting to fuck with my head.” You gave a small laugh at the end but even he could tell it was forced.
Was him not being honest ruining the relationship?
“When did that start?”
Did he start to let his guard drop?
“I don’t know. I think he’s always been kind of, I don’t know. He’s not like, secretive but he’s kind of private, but not really? I mean I can ask him anything but sometimes I can tell he’s just talking around the topic, you know?”
“And recently it’s been getting worse. Like, sometimes he won’t let me touch him. And I don’t think it's me, it’s just because he doesn’t want to be touched. It’s almost like I’m hurting him, and now I can’t help but think maybe he has trauma or something but that’s not a thing you ask outright. I can’t help but think we’re both waiting for the other to bring it up first.”
Ouch.
He’s made his girlfriend feel like shit.
That’s not being the best boyfriend he promised he would be.
Ouch.
“I think you’re right. It not being a you thing, I mean. Maybe he has something he’s not ready to share yet.”
You let out a heavy sigh.
“I know. And I know this sounds shitty, because I want him to work this out on his own and come to me when he’s ready. But, I also want to know I’m not crazy and that there is something he’s hiding. And I can’t just ask if he’s hiding something out of the blue because then he’s going to lie and I really, really hate that he’s been lying. And we both fucking know it, I mean he just looks at me and we both know what he said was a lie but neither of us comment on it.”
Yeah, he feels like shit.
“I just…” You trail off, and for the first time in the past two weeks spiral you cry. And you cry hard, your breaths tremble and you squat with your head between your knees to collapse the spinning thoughts around you.
Peter doesn’t know what the fuck to do.
Because he wants to wrap himself around you and tell you it’s okay.
But he doesn’t think Spider-Man would do that.
So he doesn’t.
“Hey, it’s okay. You’re okay, just breathe okay?”
You sniffle and rub your eyes.
“I just really, really love him. Why doesn’t he trust me?” Your voice broke and Peter had to look directly into your teary eyes through his mask and tell you he doesn’t know.
—---------------------------------
It was another Saturday night where Peter was rejecting your advances.
It has been happening more frequently, not super often but enough to make you question something. Peter has just been more on edge, and now that he knows you’re looking for something he doesn’t want to risk it.
You pulled from him and sighed.
“What’s the no for this time?”
He feels like he should be honest.
So he is.
“I have a bad bruise and it hurts, I scraped up my side and it’s ugly.”
“Can I see it?”
“I don’t really want you to.”
At least he was being honest, and that is something you’ll take.
“Okay. Thanks for telling me.” You grinned at him, and pressed a chaste kiss to his mouth.
“Can I ask what happened?”
“I rubbed it against a building, no biggie.” (He was swinging quite fast and was too busy looking at a pigeon trying to fly off with a whole sandwich.)
“Ouch.” You frowned and looked down at his torso.
“Where is it?”
Peter ran a hand over his left rib area and you ducked your head down to place feather light kisses over his shirt.
He sighed and rubbed at the back of your head.
“Feels better already.”
—-----------------------------------------------------------
“Let me kiss it better.”
Peter pulled his hand away from you and hid it, he didn’t want you to kiss it better. You had just walked in two seconds after he dropped the suit from his body, his cheeks glew at the wolf whistle you gave his mostly naked body.
You clocked in on his scraped knuckles, you weren’t sure how it happened but you’ve learned Peter is pretty clumsy. He was usually scraped, cut or bruised somewhere but never so much it drew out real questions you wouldn’t let him escape from.
Peter on the other hand tried to play it off, but in reality he hasn’t washed the blood from his hand yet and he’s not sure whose it is. Was it his or was it from the teeth scraping across as he punched some guy in the jaw a few dozen times?
He didn’t want you to kiss a stranger's blood, even if you took it as rejection he wouldn’t give in and let you win.
“It’s okay, baby. Doesn’t hurt.” (It actually didn’t this time.)
“But it’s my job to kiss your boo-boos.”
“Not tonight, I’d rather kiss you.”
He’s gotten better at redirecting your thoughts.
“I’m okay with that, but don’t put on pants. Just a waste of time.”
You winked at his boxers and nibbled on your bottom lip.
Tonight he didn’t object.
-------------------———————————-
Everything Peter was scared of happening was happening right now.
He doesn’t know how you got here, and he doesn’t know how he stumbled upon you but he is so glad he did. You were currently soaking wet and shivering while heaving breaths, your face was red and wet, he wasn’t sure if it was the rain or tears.
What you were doing in the pouring rain almost two hours into the Bronx is beyond him, he just wanted you home, dry and safe.
“What’s going on?” His panicked questioning made you cry harder.
“I’m not, I don’t, please help me. Please.”
“Okay, okay. Tell me what’s going on so I can help you. Can you do that for me?”
Peter watched as you calmed your breath, shoulders shaking from the cold rain on bare skin. Your breaths came in stutters as you tried to speak.
“My phone is dead and I don’t know where I am. I fell asleep on the train and I had to get off and I tried staying in the station but this old fucking creep was following me around,”
Peter’s heart sank.
You were terrified, lost and cold.
“So I came out here and I forgot my jacket at Peter’s and, and, and. I really need him, can you call him please?”
Peter froze.
He can’t call Peter, he is Peter.
“I don’t have his number, I can help you, it's okay.”
Spider-Man tried to reach for your arm but you recoiled and broke into a sob.
“No. Please call Peter, please. I know his number, I would call him on the payphone, I tried but that guy came up right behind me and was pressing into me.”
He felt worse by the second.
You just really, really needed him.
“I’m sorry, I can’t.”
“It’s your job! You’re supposed to help. Please call my boyfriend.” You became bitter but it was just nerves.
“I can’t. I can’t give out my number like that, you have to understand. I can get you back home safely, that’s the best I can offer.”
“I don’t want to go alone, he can come. He will come, just call him. He won’t leave me here, I know he won't.”
He knows he wouldn’t either.
But he’s not Peter right now, and he can’t be no matter how much you need him.
“I’ll ride with you. Just so you’re not alone, would that be okay?” He was almost pleading with you, out of every other time he wants this one to be the time where you just shut up and listen.
“I just really don’t want you right now, I’m sorry.” You sniffled and shuffled away from him, blinking away the rain droplets on your eyelashes.
Peter doesn’t know what to say.
You won’t listen to Spider-Man, it’s not who you want.
“Would you come with me to call him? I understand you can’t call him but just so I don’t have to go back down there alone, please?”
Now he has to watch you get ignored 3 times because he can’t answer, he’s right next to you. And he’s staring down the old guy four benches down looking you up and down from the side. After the third call with no answer you slammed the phone down on the hook.
“I don’t know why he didn’t answer. The one time I really, really needed him to answer he didn’t.”
Peter really wishes he could tell you he’s right there, just one arm length away.
“Let me take you home, he probably just has unknown callers silenced. No need to panic, okay?” Peter cautioned the words scared for a blow up on your end but it was worse, it was defeat.
It was disappointment.
It was hurt.
Peter had let you down.
And he watched himself do it.
“What if he calls back?”
“He can’t. You can’t call payphones back.”
Peter isn’t sure if that’s true, but he does know that the phone will never ring.
“Okay. You can take me home.”
Three stops before yours you told Spider-Man he could leave. You promised you would be okay and that you really appreciated him taking the hours out of his evening to get you home even after you freaked out on him.
As soon as the doors opened you were met with the worried eyes of your boyfriend, a smile broke over his face as you stepped through. You were confused but more than anything, you were safe, comforted, and warm. He was so, so warm. And he had a jacket for you.
“How did you know I was here?” Your cold nose was buried in his shoulder.
“Private caller. They left me a message and said you were here and waiting for me, heard you got a little lost.”
“I was so so sacred. Spider-Man found me, and I was begging him to call you. I wonder if he did, I called you three times.”
“On the payphone? I have unknown callers silenced, from now on I’ll keep them on okay? I’m sorry you were scared, it’s a good thing Spidey was there huh?”
You shook your head and pressed into him for a hug.
“There isn’t anyone or anything that makes me feel safer than being right here.”
Peter decided then he has to tell you.
—------------------------------------------
It’s fair you’re pissed at Peter.
He knows it’s fair, he just hopes you’ll still date him after this.
And of course he was right, you found out before he was ready to tell you and he knows it’s gone on too long, and there wasn’t going to be an easy way to break the news but you finding out on your own made you spiral into a frenzy and now you refused to speak to him.
He had just washed his suit, and with the technology he couldn’t dry it so on wash days he kept it hung in his closet to air dry until he would use it that night.
Then you came over and rolled around in his bed, then begged him to make you a grilled cheese, then begged to watch the new season of reality TV on Netflix, which he hates but knows you love the drama. He also feels a little good because the whole time you cling to his arm and watch the guys berate their new fiancès and tell Peter you’re so glad he doesn’t act like that.
It was totally normal until the evening.
You had asked to take a shower before dinner, and sat on his bed with your wet hair dripping down your pajama shirt, and his fan iced the droplets and it sent chills up your back. You were planning on spending the night and so in your shivers you dug yourself under his blankets but the cold had already settled into your bones and you were contemplating getting a hoodie of Peter’s out of his closet.
“Hey.”
You were almost at his closet doors when he interfered.
“I’m cold.”
“C’mere.” He opened his arms for a hug but his warmth wasn’t settling the chill in your body.
“Want to do chinese? If not, we can do that pasta thing again.”
“Hmm, I’m not sure yet. I’m too cold to decide, I’m gonna grab a hoodie.”
You broke from the hug and Peter stepped to the side in front of you again.
“I can grab it.”
You rolled your eyes with a grin, you’re not sure if Peter’s love language was more acts of service or physical touch.
“It’s okay, I can manage.”
You tried to step to the side once more but he followed you.
“No really, I insist.”
Even with a smile on his face you saw the slight panic, he didn’t want you in his closet.
“What? Are you hiding your other girlfriend in there or something?”
He was hiding something in there for sure. Just not another girl.
“Oh yeah, there’s another one under the bed too. I’m surprised you didn’t see the third one hiding in the shower.”
A shudder ran down your spine and you were able to place a hand on the closet handle before Peter leaned against the doors so they wouldn’t open.
“I got it.”
You furrowed your brow at him, why was he acting like this?
“Yeah, I can too.”
“No really, let me.”
You don’t know why but suddenly you were warm with slight rage, why was he being so fascitous? There was no reason for him to be trying so hard to keep you from opening the doors but there was.
And you didn’t know why.
“No. Let me.”
You pulled at the handle but it didn’t budge under Peter resting against it.
“Peter, move.”
He thinks this is the moment. You’re about to find out and he’s terrified.
“Baby I don’t mind, let me take care of you.” This was his last plea, hiding behind wanting to take care of you and not because he was trying to hide his suit. Not at all.
“What are you hiding?” You jiggled the handle again.
“What? Nothing.”
“No, it’s something.” You weren’t even cold anymore, this was about standing your ground.
“I don’t-“
You cut him off, you were done with the lies.
“Then move.”
Peter stayed silent this time.
He was about to let you in.
He was about to watch the other shoe drop.
You pushed his shoulder to move him off the door and he stumbled away while holding his breath. He wasn’t even as half as nervous when May found out.
You opened the door and let out a breath.
“See? Did it just fine on my own.”
Your hand ran across the right rack looking through the hooded collection searching for your favorite. You didn’t get why he was so adamant on you not doing this yourself, there was absolutely no issue.
You slipped the thick blue fleece off the hanger and turned sideways to close the door, and when the door was almost shut your breath hitched, did you just see what you thought?
Peter stayed still, he knows you saw.
You slowly cracked the door back open and looked at the left rack. And it was there, hung up. Just spandex and so innocent looking, you almost told yourself it was just an authentic replica. A costume.
But you knew better.
And by his reaction, or lack of, was answer enough.
You dropped the sweatshirt to the ground and ran a thumb over the shoulder of the suit, the same texture that was on your cheek when you asked him to not beat up Peter.
Peter was Spider-Man.
Your boyfriend was Spider-Man.
You confided in him several times, about him.
You felt so dirty, and played, and dumb, and belittled. Each time you talked with him replayed in your mind, every conversation and accusation.
It was so unfair.
Peter always had the upper hand, and you weren’t even aware he did.
Peter just watched your reaction, your thumb didn’t move. You didn’t move, just stayed still until your hand dropped and when you turned to look at him he stayed silent waiting for you to break the ice.
He was going to wait until you asked him a question or all of them, but you didn’t. You just shook your head at him and shoulder checked him as you walked out his room and headed to grab your bag by the front door to leave.
“Hey, hey, hey. Stop, let’s talk.”
“You don’t want me to talk to you right now.” You sounded so bitter, so hurt, so angry.
“Yes I do, let me hear it.”
“No. I literally don’t even want to see you right now.”
Peter moved to stand in front of the door and true to your word you had your head turned to the wall in effort not to look at him. Even seeing him, watching him try to handle this with ease unsettled you. He didn’t realize how uncomfortable you felt right now.
“Baby, let’s talk, okay? I’ll answer any questions.”
You laughed bitterly at his words, funny now he was the king of honesty.
“You know maybe you can send Spider-Man out to collect all the intel on Peter and I’s issues.”
“Hey, that’s not what I meant to happen.”
“Fuck off, Peter. I really, really don’t want to be around you. But, you know, I’m sure Spidey will track me down and ask me about an issue he somehow knows I’m having.”
He shook his head and tried to defend himself, “That’s not-“
“That’s not how it happened, I get it. The first time was a fluke, I’ll give you that. But every other time you knew who I was, and what I wanted. You played into it, you should’ve ignored me. You shouldn’t have kept tracking me down or talking to me, you had an unfair advantage the entire time.”
“You should’ve never talked to me as him after I told him I liked you. That is dirty behavior and now I really don’t trust you, I mean what else are you hiding?”
Peter knows in his heart this was deserved, he knows what you mean, and you’re not wrong. He knows in his heart that he only cared and was checking up on you but to you it felt like he was playing you.
“I know, I know. I wanted to tell you, I really did, I swear. I just really liked that you didn’t know, and it wasn’t even sadistic, I just liked being just me around you. I didn’t want to explain every detail of what I do, or what I did that night, you know?”
“No, Peter. I really don’t know, I didn’t talk to you like a third party person and pretend like I didn’t actually know you. I was only honest with you, and you weren’t. I genuinely don’t know what is real or a lie anymore.”
You were hurt and confused and honestly it was fucking hard with your head, did he act or say certain things because you told Spider-Man what you wanted?
Was he ever going to actually tell you?
“I love you. And I know I messed up, but I promise nothing was a lie. Everything I told you about Peter as Spider-Man was true.”
And Peter was being honest, he didn’t mean to mess it up this hard. He knew you wouldn’t be happy but he didn’t expect you to question the entire relationship.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, I know I should’ve but I didn’t want this to happen.”
He pointed between you two and your face hardened, he didn’t understand your point.
“This isn’t happening because you didn’t tell me you were Spider-Man, I get why you didn’t tell me. This is happening because you kept using it to your advantage, and you knew what you were doing. You should have left me alone. That’s why this is happening.”
Peter wasn’t sure how to navigate this anymore, everything he said was the wrong thing. Maybe you were right, he should’ve let you leave, you weren’t ready to talk about this right now.
He let out a sigh and rubbed at his forehead, he understood that you needed space and talking it out was making it worse.
“Okay, okay. I know you’re mad, and hurt and upset with me right now. And I don’t want to fix that, I just want you to work through this with me, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Do you want to leave? If you need time away from me it’s okay.”
“Yeah.”
You threw your backpack over a shoulder and passed by him towards the door before he grabbed your wrist.
“I’m sorry, and I love you.”
“I know you are.”
Peter frowned at the response.
“You’ll call me if you need something right? We’re okay for now?”
You nodded at him and pulled your wrist from his grasp.
“We’re okay. I love you. I’ll call you later.”
At least you said you loved him back, but he couldn’t help but feel off after watching you leave without a glance back.
Peter feels like he’s really, really messed up.
————————————-
“Hi.”
Peter whipped his head down at you, he wasn’t expecting you to approach him in the suit, especially after yesterday. You hadn’t talked to him for a whole twenty four hours and he actually felt like he was going crazy. And he didn’t realize how often he texts or snapchats you or sends links until he decided to leave the contact up to you.
He wasn’t upset at you, you were upset at him so he thinks it’s fair that you come to him first. But he really wasn’t expecting that it would be a day later, maybe a few days at least if he was basing it off of how upset you were yesterday.
“Hi.”
“I missed you.” You sniffled.
“I missed you, too.”
Peter watched you slowly trying to gauge your reaction, he genuinely couldn’t tell what you were thinking and he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or not.
“Wanna talk?”
You nodded your head slowly, and looked around the space you were in wondering if it was a quiet enough spot. Off the busy street you tucked away into the corner of the alleyway, your eye catching the webbed bag up the wall.
He jumped off the roof and followed you and waited for you to talk, he watched as you soaked him in for a second. You’ve seen Spider-Man before but now knowing he was Peter you looked at him differently, you were drawing over his curves and dips with your eyes and you reached out to run a hand down his front.
“Can I… Can you take off your mask?”
In an instant he pulled it off and you watched as his hair fell down in a fluff, you reached a hand out to smooth over the curls, trying your best to place it the way he normally has it despite knowing it was about to get ruined.
“Feels weird seeing you in the suit, it’s like you’re cosplaying.”
“How do you put it on?” You traced over his chest and then turned him around as you searched for a zipper.
“The spider.” He lightly ran his glove over the emblem and without understanding the concept you pressed the spider confused with the steps.
“Oop!” Your arms flailed as you were unsure what to do, in one motion the suit expanded and quite literally fell off his body. Even hiding in the corner you tried to shield him from any outside views.
Peter giggled as you fumbled around, he drew the suit back up and grabbed your hand to press the spider as it conformed back into his shape.
“Sorry, I didn’t know it would do that.”
“It’s okay.” He smiled warmly and you were desperate to kiss him so you did.
“What’s up?”
You bit the inside of your cheek and pondered on what to say, or more what to ask. More than anything knowing that your boyfriend was now an open book and was willing to answer any questions you had.
“Can you see out of that?”
You pointed at the mask in his hand.
“Mhm.” He nodded.
You couldn’t picture how, it looked like mesh. In fact when you ran your thumb over it, it felt like mesh.
“How?”
“Well my senses make it hard to-“
“No, how did it happen? How are you him?”
“A spider bite. Radioactive spider, I didn’t realize until the next morning that something was up. I woke up and felt like my head was splitting open cause I could hear the entire city in my head.”
“When?”
“When I was 15.”
“Who else knows?”
“May, MJ and Ned.”
You nodded slowly, everyone knew.
And you didn’t.
“If it makes you feel better it’s not just you I never told, everyone just found out on their own.”
You hummed and nodded your head.
“So everytime you said no to sex you were hiding a Spidey ingury?”
“Correct.”
You didn’t know how to move forward, what happened next? Do you forget what happened?
You do understand why he didn’t say anything, but he also should’ve never interfered after the first time. You can’t help but feel a little violated, and it’s not like you cared Peter knew what you said, it’s how he was hearing that bothered you.
“I’m still upset at you.”
You sniffled again and rolled a pebble under your foot, you watched Peter frown before looking behind you and pulling you into him and behind the dumpster.
You pulled a face of confusion until you heard chattering voices and group laughs walking by the clearance. His strong hearing impressed you, it was new seeing him react to his senses in front of you.
“I know, baby. And I understand, I know what I did was wrong. And I don’t want to try and justify it but, in my mind I was just caring for you. I didn’t even think of it like that, and I don’t know why I didn’t. Cause I’d be peeved if the situation was swapped.”
Peter was honest, he knew after sulking all night he was wrong. He did exploit his position but he just loved you and cared for you and just wanted you to feel safe and heard, but you wanted to do all of that with Peter, not Spider-Man.
“You know what hurts me the most?”
Peter doesn’t want to hear it.
“No, what?”
“When you didn’t tell me that day when I got lost. I was fucking petrified and I needed you, you saw how much I needed you and you just went along with the story. Looking back on that now I just feel so hurt.”
Peter felt his heart drop.
He let you down.
He knows he did that day.
It just really hurt having you confirm his fears.
“It really, really hurt me not to tell you. And that doesn’t compare to how you felt, I just want you to know that even though I caused this, I didn’t feel good doing it.”
Peter wasn’t evil, he was a sweet boy. Just a little unaware.
And that’s what you loved most about him.
“That's it, right? No more secrets?”
Peter laughed and nodded his head.
“That’s it. I promise.”
“Total transparency?”
You raised your hand to shake his and spread your fingers over his gloved hand, warmth seeking into your palms.
“Total transparency.”
You bit your lip and over exaggerated your hand shake.
“Good. Cause I have some questions.”
“I’ll answer all of them.”
“Okay! Did you get all your powers at once or was it one at a time? How fast can you swing? How slow can you swing? Have you ever hit a bird? When do you eat? Wait, how do you pee? How do your webs work? Please don’t say they come out of you.”
You paused for a gulp of air and watched Peter’s eyes go wide.
“Are all your senses effected? Can you super smell now? And how do your senses work? Could I wear the mask? Or does it only work for your head? Wait, do you know Tony Stark? Could I meet Tony Stark? Do you have a room at the Avengers tower? Is Tony Stark cool? Can you-“
“Baby breathe.”
Peter watched your face grow in color while you continued to ask away, and if he was honest he needed you to stop for a minute.
“Sorry! I’m just curious.”
You watched Peter try and mentally checklist the questions so he could respond and you bit your cheek while he counted the questions. Your mind started to wander off.
“So if you were swinging through-“
Peter now thinks this is the worst case scenario of you finding out about his alter ego.

Romantic Homicide [PART ONE][ Miguel O’Hara x Reader ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You slowly slip from Miguel’s hands, and it’s too late for him to realize.
A/N: Wanted to desperately make something angsty for Miguel and this song was the perfect choice!
Warnings: None that I can think of.
PART TWO HERE
SONG BASED FIC: ROMANTIC HOMICIDE BY D4VD
-
I'm scared
Miguel O’Hara was not the man you knew anymore. When he first arrived to your dimension, he found love with you, but he never would have admitted it if asked about it. He found a sense of peace and clarity just being with you and having you to hold. You were one of the first recruits that he brought on.
You were the shining star to Miguel’s dark world. He had never intended to get close to someone, after seeing how many spider men lost their true loves. He didn’t want to experience that pain, he felt foolish and naive for falling for you. He loved the way you both would swing next to each other, almost like a choreographed dance.
He was a very passionate person, but there was also the side of him that was cold and distant. At first, that side never came to light. It was amazing recruiting others and taking on the fight together.
Everything had been good… until it was not. Miguel had been messing with another dimension without you knowing, and it was one where he found out that you and him had a child that was orphaned. He thought he could manage being with you and going to the dimension to be with your daughter.
He had been so happy spending time with your daughter who was oblivious to losing both her parents. And he wanted to introduce you to your daughter, but feared you might see it as insane and wrong.
So he kept it a secret for the time being. But Miguel could not handle both dimensions - both lives, and eventually it caught up with him.
He lost your daughter and never told you anything about the double life he led behind your back.
It feels like you don't care
You had felt the change in Miguel. Instead of the open minded, excited-to-save-the-multiverse Miguel, you got the cold and distant lover.
He never intended to hurt you, but he never considered your emotions and what the toll of having to fight so many villains falling out of their dimensions can take on you. You were his accomplice, the person he could count on for everything and would drop anything to help out.
You were strong, but seeing the person who would kiss you so deeply it would make you feel as if nothing else mattered… seeing him slowly become irritable as if the weight of the multiverse was not on both of your shoulders.
Enlighten me, my dear
Why am I still here?
You began to grow frustrated when Miguel refused to join you for a simple meal and got angry at you for trying to make him leave his computers. He stopped showing signs of love and genuine affection to you. The days of sleeping in and messing with Miguel’s bed head, making out upside down on the ceiling, saving universes together were long gone.
At a certain point, you would only stay at the spider complex, helping out new recruits while Miguel would opt to take Jessica instead of you on missions.
You would bite your tongue and resume your duties as to not poke the bear.
I don't mean to be complacent with the decisions you made
But why?
Peter B. Parker was your favorite spider-man simply because he would always bring your favorite food made by Mary Jane and let you hold Mayday. He was your best friend, and the only person who would probably understand the pain Miguel was putting you through.
You had confessed to him the feelings you had bottled up, and he was confused as to where it all came from as Miguel never wanted your intimate relationship known to everyone else in fear of you being hurt.
It pained you to know Miguel wanted to keep you a secret, like you were some villainous person that could easily be taken back to their dimension in an instant. Like you were replaceable… and the thought nagged at you… had Miguel found another you?
Peter expressed that Miguel never even mentioned having a loved one, that he wanted no form of attachment after watching his daughter die in his hands.
You had not even known about his daughter, so the mere thought of him purposefully keeping this a secret made you feel worse. A daughter? Why did he never trust me to know about his daughter? Why did he never feel comfortable telling me?
You began to even question why you still stayed, if it was worth the stress and mental drain to be near Miguel - knowing he was keeping not only you a secret, but possibly more.
Mm. In the back of my mind, You died
And I didn't even cry. No, not a single tear
You watched as the man you loved slowly descended into madness, an obsession to be precise and catch anything and everything that was wrong. It began to feel like he never even slept anymore. He was a shell of a person, day in and day out. Staring at monitors, asking Lyla for help, and then leaving for some type of mission.
It was a horrible cycle that repeated in front of you.
Every time you tried to talk to him about how he was doing or what you could do to help, he brushed you aside and barely even looked at you.
It made you feel sick to your stomach, but you would always turn away, tears ready to fall. You were trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he kept you a secret for a reason… maybe, just maybe there was some type of reason he was acting this way with you.
But eventually you had cried enough over the man who no longer seemed to be the one who would call you his love, and the tears stopped.
And I'm sick of waiting patiently for someone that won't even arrive
You held our hope one last time, you invited Miguel to a dinner in your dimension. You set up your dining room with candles, delicious food, drinks, and a present containing the one single photo you had of the two of you.
But he never showed up. Lyla had sent a message to you telling you he got wrapped up in a mission and couldn’t make it. She seemed apologetic as she delivered the news, and she could tell you wanted to be alone.
You only said “okay” to her before ending the call, standing up, and dumping the present in the trash bin. You left your dining room and collapsed on your cold, unmade bed from when you had last left to be with Miguel.
In the back of my mind
I killed you
The next day, you heard absolutely nothing from everyone. Radio silence. You wondered if Miguel even knew if you were gone.
You stared at your watch that could take you to other universes, take you to Miguel. It was taunting you… a watch to see him but at a certain point, what cost did it come with?
You spent so much time going back and forth for him to not care at all. He was keeping your love hidden away in a room, for no one else to see. And at a certain point, he had forgotten about the room.
Finally, you had enough and no longer wished to have any type of temptation to go running back to him. There was no reason to go back.
You grabbed your hammer and began to repeatedly smash the watch into a million little pieces. Watching it crumble and break in front of you, made all the built up tears come back like a dam breaking open.
You screamed as tears poured, your heart breaking even more and feeling as if it could no longer take the hits.
And I didn't even even regret it
I can't believe I said it
You felt relieved to see the watch gone, to see the life with Miguel start to slip away, in the past.
But a part of you broke with the watch. The time spent with him felt wasted. You neglected your dimension for him and your duties as a spider-woman.
You felt angry that Miguel came into your life in the first place. That he was able to steal your heart and time and everything that made you happy was because of him.
You hated that he made you feel the way he did.
But it's true
I hate you
Months went on, no one dared to contact you in fear of Miguel finding out. He had been angry when he found out you had left, but he knew deep inside of himself that he was the reason why.
He forbid anyone to speak to you, though, because he feared you would make light of your relationship and how he let you slip away. He feared everyone would look at him as a weak, lonely, harsh leader. When he needed to remain steadfast.
You had returned to your normal way of life, learning to love yourself and help out those in need. While it was tame compared to multidimensional travel, it felt better for your soul.
However, one day after having such a long night trying to take down men who put targets on your back, you were wiping dirt and blood off your mask. In the corner of your eye, you could see a portal start to form in your living room. You were quick to put on your mask, readying yourself for it to be anyone.
But to your surprise, the most surprising person stepped through the large portal.
Hobie Brown.

sugar and vice, pt 1 [mob!tasm!peter x fem!reader]
Tumblr media
summary: I have a meet-cute in a coffee shop. but for mob!peter.
words: 5.5k
warnings: Shameless TASM mob!daddy Peter fantasies, including, but not limited to, kidnapping, knives, bang bang shoot shoot, pining, eventual smut
Part 1
Tumblr media
“Just a coffee, black. Biggest ya got.”
Wearily, yet still wired, Peter tapped his fingers on the stainless steel counter. It was late. Or early. Streetlamps still blazed in unholy darkness outside. It had been a long night. But he had felt like he’d been up for years.
Across from him, a young woman wearing overalls and a daisy-yellow bandana gave him a heavy nod. “Sure,” she replied, gravely. “I have to warn you, though. We over-roast our beans. It’s bitter as hell.”
He blinked at her, not expecting such honesty. She had a trusting face. Pretty eyes.
“Ya wanna sweeten it up for me?”
He could hear the lame pickup line of a younger version of himself. One that wore a confident smirk, walked with bravado. One that hadn’t lost what he had lost. The older Peter of today brushed that voice away. “I like bitter.”
He glanced up at her eyes and saw sympathy. “Oof, tragic,” she frowned, shaking her head teasingly, her coyness peeking through. She retrieved a paper cup and filled the dark liquid to the brim.
The personalness of it threw him off. Peter had wandered in like a zombie. He only briefly heard her ask for his order and his name, both of which he gave, and he expected nothing in return but the coffee. He watched her carefully, shifting uncomfortably. He was the only customer in the shop at this hour, but he didn’t expect to be seen.
“Here you go,” she declared, handing the cup over. “One large black graveyard dirt, extra tears.”
It wasn’t so much the joke, rather the way she beamed when she said it. It was like sunlight peeking through the curtains just right, casting a familiar space in an ethereal glow.
She glowed.
Seeing it awakened his senses. He felt the way flowers must feel, desperately reaching their petals out toward the sun after they’d been neglected through a long, dark winter.
Before he knew it, he was smiling back. Teeth bared, eyes crinkled, grinning like a fool. He thought his muscles couldn’t remember what smiling felt like. It ached.
She reached out, extending the cup towards him. But it was so much more than that.
His gaze darted from her sparkling eyes, to the curve of her mouth, back to the apples of her cheeks—
“Thanks for stopping by, Ben!”
The illusion vanished, as did his smile. He pulled away, staring at the stainless steel countertop for a moment. He thanked her and took the cup from her hand, dropping a couple of bucks in the jar. He didn’t spare her another glance as he turned on his heel.
For a moment there, he felt free. He’d forgotten what he was underneath the leather gloves, thick cashmere coat, the bitter coffee, and the fake name.
His hand found the door, the winter chill penetrating his glove. Just as he began to push it open, he heard a shout.
“Wait!”
He did, glancing back at her, against his better judgment.
“I forgot to tell you,” she said, almost shrinking into herself with a sheepish expression. She blushed at the eagerness and volume of her own voice. “To have a great day.”
He blinked, brow creased.
“It’s, uh, sorry— it’s stupid,” she rolled her eyes, slapping her palm across her forehead. “But I’m… I’m supposed to say ‘have a great day’ and I always forget, maybe ‘cos I’m a little ADHD, and my boss always reminds me that I need to say it every time, but that’s awkward, right? Like it needs to come up in conversation, I can’t just blurt it. I mean, I can. Like, I just did. But that was weird, right? It was weird. And sometimes, I’m thinking about the next 3 things I have to do, or the thing I just did and I get… I don’t know, a little lost in the moment, and then it passes, and then I felt like I missed out, y’know?”
He stared. “No?”
“On saying what I want really to say,” she said with a voice full of warmth—gentle and genuine in tone. Her babbling ceased as she emphatically declared. “I really hope you have a great day. You deserve it.”
There it was again. That smile. Sincerity and kindness sliced through him like a razor. He was a child again, getting a kiss on the cheek from his mother. Her cheerful gaze lit him up inside, like setting off a roman candle beneath his ribs. It wrapped him in a firm embrace, filling him, shielding him, and grounding him all at once.
This time, he couldn't look away. Didn't want to. He waited until he could hear the flutter in her heart. He was smiling again.
“Thank you. I think I will.”
And as if she’d cast some sort of spell, he did. The way she enchanted him, he was certain if they lived 400 years ago they might accuse her of witchcraft. He always had a good day when he saw her. No matter how painful, or dirty, or bloody. She became his good luck charm. His ability to ‘have a good day’ became entirely dependent on seeing her.
He shouldn’t go back there. He should try the Starbucks down the street. But he couldn’t help it.
She’d pour him basic drip coffee, announcing aloud to the whole shop as she handed it to him. “Here you go! Extra large, extra-hot dark roast, with extra-darkness and a splash of angst.” There was affection in her gaze despite the sarcasm of her voice.
“One extra large coffee, black as the devil’s soul.” She’d whisper to him privately, gifting him with a good-luck smile, even when the coffee shop was full of people during the morning rush. In those moments, she made him feel like they were the last two people on the planet. And it always made something in his belly flutter.
“I have an extra-black ‘Fault in Our Stars,’ with a shot of ‘The Road’ for my friend in the suit!”
Her friend. He couldn’t help but blush. How could he come to this place every day, stand in line, and feel like he was coming home? She was magic.
The coffee really was awful.
“Let me know if you ever want me to sweeten that up for you,” she graciously suggested, as the cup left her fingers. The brush of her fingertips against his felt like wildfire. Her comment was innocent, but his mind wasn’t. “I think I can make it taste better—I have some window cleaner left.”
He was smiling again. It blossoms into something reciprocal. That should be enough. He shouldn’t be greedy. He should walk away now. He should run.
“What would you suggest?” he asked coyly. It was the first time he had ever done so.
A million saccharine-infused terms of endearment flowed through his mind—sweetness, sugar, gumdrop, sweetheart, sweetie, cookie, peach, muffin, angelcake—most of them were trash. (Really, Parker? What is this, high school? Whaddya doin’? You ever talk to a woman before? Why do you sound like somebody’s grandpa? Such a creepy —
Some of them weren’t appropriate between friends. None of them appropriate coming from a stranger.
That’s what he was, deep down. God, this precious girl—she was so trusting. Was she friendly like this with everyone? No, he had noticed as time went on. She’s warm and kind to everyone she meets. But not like this. Not the way she is for him.
“Ooh, getting adventurous, are we?” she teased him, stars in her eyes.
For him. All he could do was stare back in awe at the Milky Way in her gaze. He would follow them and venture on any journey where they may lead.
“How do you feel about lavender and honey?”
Flowers and sugar for Brits and fancy people. He quirked his brow at the concept. “In coffee?”
Her eyes twinkled with excitement, as she spun around and began her concoction.
For him.
He needed to leave. But he followed the length of her arms, the delicacy of her fingers, the way her hips moved as she danced around her workstation. He was hypnotized again.
He imagined dancing with her. Letting her body flow and wrap around his like curtains billowing in the breeze. He barely registered that she was holding a new cup out toward him. While he was daydreaming, she had written his name on the cup and drew a little heart next to it.
He stared at it. It’s not exactly his name. But it’s the one he’d given her. And in return, she had given him so much.
He took the cup from her hand and couldn’t help but feel like he was undeserving of her kindness. Or her attention. Or her heart.
“Don’t make that face,” she softly admonished as if she could read his mind, or she might have read his sad look as disproval of her efforts. “Don’t knock it ‘til you try it.”
She gave him a smile. She gave and gave and gave. Gave him a reason to keep living. She didn’t even know.
He took a sip. It warmed his tongue, his throat, his heart. It ached.
“S’good,” he hummed, honestly surprised. He was telling her the truth. He reached for his wallet with his free hand, retrieving a wad of bills. He always paid in cash.
She waved him off, mock offense on her face. “No, silly. That’s not how gifts work!” Her laugh sounded like church bells.
She was a gift. For him. His flower. His Honey.
“This one’s on the house,” she assured him, as he hesitantly lowered his wallet. She whispered low, in a tone that burned him up inside. “It’ll be our secret.” His mind felt like it was rebooting. She said it innocently, but he was anything but. She scoffed with a flippant laugh, “Just don’t tell my boss, okay?”
Her boss. He knew about her boss. Tod. With one ‘D’.
Some mornings, particularly Monday through Thursday, he’d see the pencil-like man stiffly pacing the back of the bar while she and another young girl kept up with demand. Hawkish eyes, always watching. Always judging. Rarely picking up a milk jug himself.
He dominated the register. Peter hated handing him cash. His face reminded him of a cheese grater if it could look unhappy. “Are you sure you don’t want a pastry?” he offered the ‘add-on’ with what was supposed to be a smile.
Peter’s eyes shot over to his Honey as she was artfully pouring foam, adding her magic to someone else’s cup. She refused to look at Peter and he hated it. It reminded him of a defense tactic. Don’t look at the thing you don’t want to be taken away. As if he was a prized possession that she wanted to hide away from Tod, who might accuse her of having ‘favorites.’
It stirred wild emotions to be thought of that way, especially by her.
How dare her boss accuse her of any wrongdoing. How dare he threaten her.
“I’m fine,” said Peter, with a chill he hoped Tod could feel.
He needed to leave.
He needed to take his Honey and his Lavender Latte and just go.
He shook his head. His brain was lagging again. He turned away from the straight-backed scarecrow before a robotic ‘thank you for being a customer’ could be responded to.
Peter waited. Eyes on the floor. Eyes on the exit. Eyes on the windows. Eyes on her, but only briefly. He waited and daydreamed bitterly, waiting for her to call out a name that wasn’t his.
“Honey Lavender Latte,” his enchantress called out. Hearing her voice caught him from his downward spiral. He made eye contact with her as he took the cup from her hands. Warmth radiated from her eyes, although muted. It was enough to soothe and comfort him.
She blushed, sheepishly, unable to contain the smile in her voice. “Have a lavender-ly day.”
His mood lifted. Such a silly girl. Witchcraft, indeed. “Thanks, Honey,” he replied, without thinking.
Her big eyes widened for a moment, and her heart quickened. Her breath caught in her throat as she looked away, unsuccessfully hiding her teeth.
Peter would call her that a million times in a row if it would elicit that reaction.
“Have a great day,” Tod interrupted, murdering the moment.
Poor girl. She cowered slightly, like a dog hearing the word ‘no.’ She took a breath and put on a smile, turning back towards her work.
Tough girl. She didn’t need Peter to defend her.
He glanced over at Tod with a deadpan expression, and walked out of the shop before he did or said anything else stupid.
The world was full of Tods. It was also full of monsters. Sometimes Peter was one of them. No Tod was truly worth his attention.
Except for that one time.
A Tuesday morning in the middle of the holiday shopping season. Peter stood in line patiently, arms crossed, gritting his teeth. He glowered behind the bar at Tod, standing too close to his Honey. She gazed up at her boss helplessly, watching him turn red in the face, as the flagpole of a man waved his arms wildly. Clearly agitated, he kept his volume low but his body language screamed at her.
“What I need your help with is this,” Tod hissed as he towered over her. “I need you to tell me what is the best method for getting information into your head. How can I communicate with you in a way that you’ll understand?” His voice was soft although he flailed like a wavy-arm inflatable man in a car lot.
“Tell me honestly,” he sneered, dressing her down in front of a line of customers. At this point, Peter didn’t need any superpowers to be able to hear the conversation. She visibly fought the urge to cry. “Do I need to write it down? Do I need to scream at you? Do I need to throw something? Do I need to take you aside and have an hour-long conversation?” She kept her eyes on the ground as he kept pelting her with icicles. “Tell me your preference here. What is it that you’ll respond to?”
The scene came to an abrupt end when the glass of the shop window shattered. The sound silenced him finally. The front door swayed limply, having been yanked off its hinges and slammed into its frame. His Honey glanced around the shop with concern.
Peter was no longer there.
He didn’t come back that day.
Neither did Tod.
Some sort of accident, his Honey told him the following week, although he already knew the details. She explained to him why the shop had a new manager, a well-composed woman named Leyla. By the airiness of her mood, he could tell she greatly preferred Leyla’s managerial style.
She was happy, and that made him happy.
And that should be enough.
He should leave. He should run. Get as far away from her as possible.
But he was intoxicated by her. Drunk on her sweetness and her Honey Lavender Lattes.
He looked at her like she was the queen of the hive. He’d let her take that crown, any anything else she could ever want, if he had the chance. He’d worship her. He already looked at her like she was a goddess. The devotion in his honey-tinted eyes was clear to anyone who bothered to look.
“Peter Parker!”
Hearing his real name while he stood grinning like a fool in front of his Honey one afternoon made him flinch, sending a shiver up his spine. He turned around, yanked from his reverie, watching three men stroll into the shop.
He positioned his body in front of her, obscuring her from their view. His hands were tight balls at his sides.
Peter was familiar with two of the faces, but razor-sharp focused on the mountain in a suit they called Filch. He’d seen that greasy face more times than he’d want to admit, shrouded in darkness and cigar smoke. Seated at the hand of Wilson Fisk.
His jaw locked in place.
Filch looked overjoyed to see him. Like they were old friends. Like Peter didn’t know that Wilson Fisk was plotting to move against him.
“I thought that was you!” he brightly exclaimed. He strolled through the shop, like a cheetah stalking prey. Removing a hat and revealing what little hair he had left underneath. “Long way from Queens. Fancy finding ya all the way out here, eh?”
Peter knew better. The only surprise in this situation was intended for Peter. He’d been followed here. Watched.
His spine went rigid, shoulders into stone.
Don’t look at the thing you don’t want to be taken away.
He could hear her heart flutter faster behind him. As if she could sense the way he bristled when they arrived. Trouble in her kingdom. A disturbance to the delicate sanctuary she had built, like all of her totems and protection spells were wearing out.
Peter kept his back to her. He kept his eyes trained on the three men, who spread out in a familiar pattern. They were scoping the place. Checking for cameras, other patrons, and all possible exits.
Don’t look at the thing you want—
“Hey, Sugar, it’s cold outside,” Filch called out, with all the grace of flagging down a hooker. “Whaddya got to warm us up?”
Peter stared straight ahead. Glaring. Fuming.
“Might I suggest the coffee?” his Honey answered. “Just made a fresh pot of the dark roast. It’s good.”
He might have cracked a smile if he wasn’t busy envisioning a scenario where he’d have to kill the three men in the room with just the tools available in a coffee shop.
“Pour me a cuppa that,” Filch replied, his eyes never leaving Peter’s.
Peter only slightly relaxed when he felt her presence back away behind the bar. She grabbed a paper cup and filled it with steaming-hot tar. She set the cup down on the counter and backed away, minding her workstation. “That’ll be $2.50.”
Good girl, Peter thought. He saw Filch go for his breast pocket.
“I gotcha,” Peter cut in before Filch could move closer. He grabbed the cup and handed it over to his rival’s lapdog. “‘S’on me.”
Filch eyed Peter cautiously, reaching out where both hands could be visible. He took the cup with exaggerated gratitude. “No, I couldn’t possibly—”
“I said I gotcha,” Peter firmly cut him off, the cords in his neck going tight. Peter retrieved a few bills from his coat pocket, never breaking eye contact with his opponents. “We good here?”
Too many seconds passed with no response. He could feel the twitch of his pulse in his throat. Filch’s eyes drifted back behind the counter. He was too close to her. He studied her in a way that was far too intimate. It made Peter’s skin crawl.
“We’re good,” Filch replied. A smile curved his lips. He held the cup up, toasting him. “Have a great day.”
Peter swallowed hard as the three men sauntered out. He watched them go, his stomach sinking, bile rising.
They’d been watching him alright. Who knows how long. He’d been a patron of this shop and he would order from this girl and stare at her with doe-eyes and hearts swirling around his head, out in the open where anyone could see. And they did see. He showed his hand and now the game was over.
“Who’s Peter?” he heard her voice softly ask.
The illusion was shattered. He turned his head, but couldn’t bear to look at her. He felt sick. Empty. Furious. Petrified.
The monsters were gone now. But they’d be back.
“I’m sorry,” was all he could say, as he walked out of the door.
They’d be back. He’d be there first.
Tumblr media
She watched her favorite customer disappear into the night, her eyes wide with longing as she followed him. He disappeared in a few blinks of her eyes.
Something unsettling crawled beneath her skin. Maybe it was longing, but she was familiar with longing. This was new.
Her hands were shaking and she wasn’t sure how that happened either. One minute she was staring into his dreamy, honey-hued eyes, then the next he was running in the other direction. Not unlike their first meeting, a scene which she replayed over and over again in her head, trying to figure out what made him go so rigid.
Who’s Peter?
Peter Parker.
Peter Parker.
She repeated his name in her mind, reciting it like a mantra. She wasn’t great with names, but he told her his name was Ben on that first morning so many months ago, and she made a point to remember his name, and to say his name, because people liked it when you said their name, it made them feel closer to you and she wanted more than anything to be close to him.
She squeezed her eyes shut. Her wheels were spinning again. She used her thumb to push down hard on the center of her opposite palm. The dull pain grounded her back to reality.
When she opened her eyes, she half expected him to be there. He always seemed to show up when she least expected it. He was a bright spot in her day, despite his gloomy demeanor. He could be dark as a raincloud, but she loved dancing in the rain.
Or as her co-worker Nasrin teased her one day, he was her “tall, dark, hot cup of coffee.” She hid her face in her hands as Nasrin got to the “sucking him down with a straw” part of the analogy. She was incredibly grateful that he had been standing by the door, and there’s no way he could’ve heard that.
Now she had a first name and a last name and a... another name? And a place — you’re a long way away from Queens. A quick Google search of the names in question pulled up too many generic results. There was a dated article about a Ben Parker who was killed in an armed robbery, but her tall, dark friend couldn’t have had anything to do with that.
It twisted her stomach when she considered the fact that she really didn’t know him. She didn’t know who those guys were, and by the looks of things, she didn’t want to know. She should just drop it.
She did the best she could to keep busy, but there weren’t any more customers after that. She sent a quick text to her new manager that she wasn’t feeling well, and closed the shop early. She took the subway home.
Once she got on the train, she didn’t make it back to the platform. It was late, but the subway car was still unusually empty, save for a couple of randos sitting at the opposite end of her car. Any other night, the near-solitude would’ve been a blessing. Tonight, something felt off.
Twenty minutes into her ride, just as the train was about to cross the river, it jerkily slowed to a stop. Her cessation of movement stirred her. Her head popped up from the glow of her phone screen curiously. She worried her lower lip as she glanced at the doors and windows, as if she could somehow see whatever it was that was stopping the train.
She jolted as she felt a hand clamp down on her upper arm. Startled, she looked up at the two other occupants of the train car, now standing inches behind her. Two men that had been seated quietly, also seemingly distracted by their phones.
“Come on, sweetie pie,” one of them said, towering over her. “It’s time to go.” She didn’t recognize either of them, but her instincts reminded her of the altercation in the coffee shop. These two had the same ‘goonlike’ look.
She tried wrenching her arm away, but the stranger held tight. “Get off,” she hissed. His partner on the left took her other arm, albeit more gently.
“Hey, take it easy,” the other man admonished. “No need to be rude.”
“Yeah, we’re friends,” the first man added, with a greasy smile. Her eyes darted around frantically. Panic set in as she realized she was alone in the subway car. The doors slid open, but there was no platform. Instead, the doors opened to building rooftops. The train had stopped on an elevated track above the street.
“Let’s go,” the gruffer man beckoned, grabbing her arm more tightly. He dragged her through the doorway, on a dark walkway next to the tracks. As soon as he lifted her, she erupted into a fit of screams. She kicked her legs, shrieking for help, but no reply came. She didn’t know if no one could hear her, or if people knew better not to respond.
“Keep it down,” one of the goons ordered coldly, dragging her along. She desperately resisted, letting her legs drop out beneath her.
She heard a hiss and pop as the subway train sprang back to life behind them. She watched helplessly as it pulled away.
“A wild one, aren’cha?” the red-haired roughneck tutted, yanking her back up to her feet. “Be a good girl or I’ll throw ya over my shoulder.”
She tried jerking away again, but halted as she faced the edge of the walkway. The dizzying height stunned her into submission. Her knees began to lock up, trembling with fear.
“Take it easy, Katz,” the man’s partner chided him, albeit insincerely. The two of them practically carried her down the walkway. “You’re scarin’ her.”
They arrived at an old set of metal stairs leading to the street below. The sharp, steep grade of the steps made her vertigo even worse.
“No, help! Somebody help!” she hollered, wrapping her fingers in a death grip around the banisters and anything else she could reach.
“Keep your mouth shut!” the red-head called Katz snapped at her. He reached around and tried to put his beefy hand on her mouth, but she bit down on his flesh the second his fingers reached her lips.
“Ow!” he roared. “Bitch!”
She saw him rear back his fist. Then she saw nothing.
Tumblr media
When she came to, her whole body ached. Every muscle throbbing, like she’d been twisted into a pretzel. Her eyelashes fluttered open. Flickering flourescents stung her eyes. Bleary, she gazed around in a dreamlike state until her senses slowly started to awaken.
She tasted glue. And blood. Took heavy humid breaths through her nose. She was on her side, on a concrete floor in a garage she didn’t recognize. The smell of motor oil and cleaning solution stabbed her nostrils. She gazed up at the shadowy, filthy undercarriage of a Rolls Royce lifted high up above her. Loud bangs jarred her out of slumber further. She faintly wondered who would be jackhammering—
Loud pops. Gunfire.
Her body went rigid, then sprung to life in terror. Attempting to open her mouth to scream, she realized that it was taped shut. Even slight movements of her jaw stung her flesh. She tried to sit up. Her arms tingled, like her limbs had fallen asleep. When she tried to move them she felt a sharp sting on her wrists.
Alarm started to take hold. She couldn’t move her arms or legs. She glanced down and passed her dirty, blood-stained shirt to the duct tape wrapping her ankles. It might as well have been iron. Her wrists were also firmly bound behind her. Trying to pull them on them felt like ripping off her own skin. She whimpered excruciatingly.
The sounds were getting closer. She glanced around, eyes begging for help. Searching frantically for any reprieve amidst the scattered car parts and junk.
The gunfire was getting closer.
She scooted, inching her way across the floor until she reached a work table. She was lining her spine up against the table leg when the garage door rattled open. She was out of time. A spill of light from outside lamps flooded in, blinding her. She could only vaguely recognized her own shrieks behind the wall of duct tape.
A group of people stood at the garage doors with their backs to the light. She watched their imposing silhouettes with horror.
A tall, male form approached her, his long black coat trailing behind him. Tears that she couldn’t contain sprang from her eyes. She was trapped, terrified, like a rabbit staring down a wolf. All she could focus on was the gun in the man’s hands as he stalked toward her. She squeezed her eyes closed, waiting to hear a final shot that would end her life.
“Easy, easy,” a familiar, deep, and soothing voice rolled over her. “Shh, don’t be scared, Honey.”
Her breath hitched. Eyes popped open.
Crouched down to her eye level was her tall, dark, and bitter friend. Ben—Peter—whatever his name was— the moment she recognized his soft chocolate eyes and the scattering of a peppery beard on his otherwise boyish face, she felt a wave of relief.
His leather glove still held firmly onto a pistol. The sight of it dropped her back to reality. Like a bucket of ice water being poured over her body. She shuddered as he scooted closer.
“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay,” he placated with a calm voice. “You’re okay.”
She wanted to believe him. He set his gun down on the concrete floor and reached for her with both hands. Another sound of a distant gunshot made her jolt. She recoiled away from his touch, shrinking herself up against the table leg.
He flinched at her reaction with a pained expression, as if she’d stabbed him. His hands faltered for a moment.
A man’s voice rang out from the group lingering behind, a youthful tone from someone barely older than a teenager. “Boss, we gotta go!”
A deeper voice called out in response, “C’mon, Pete. The calvary’s on the way. Get her on her feet! ”
Her eyes widened, tears streaming down her face. He stared back at her, his expression turning grim. She gazed up at her savior to realize that this was no true rescue.
A sickly feeling crept over her as she put the pieces together. Whatever this was, whatever was happening, whatever had happened to her—it was because of Peter.
Her tall, dark, and dangerous stranger. He grabbed her by the hips, scooting her closer. She wailed as he scooped her body up in her arms, dizzy with how fast and effortless it seemed. He carried her like a toddler having a tantrum, except she was restrained already.
Peter said nothing as he carried her out of the garage, barely looking at her, as he marched towards an idling, blacked-out SUV. She barely had time to spot the driver, a gorgeous woman with long silver hair.
She smirked at her, eyes sinister.
Tumblr media
When the SUV finally came to a halt, all she knew is that they were in an underground parking garage. Her limbs felt heavy, the assault of adrenaline starting to take its toll. Few words were spoken during the car ride, and none to her. Thick tension filled the air.
She was on the floorboard, her cheek pressed up against the carpet. She gazed at the feet of two men seated in the back. One of them was the fresh-faced teenager she heard calling Peter ‘Boss.’ His name was Miles, she had heard. The other was a rugged, haunted-looking man, with large dark eyes fixed on the windows, ever watchful. Miles called him Miguel, before the older man shot him a look to stay quiet.
“That’s the unifying issue with the men in this car,” the woman driving the SUV snarked. “You all talk too much.”
Her heart hammered at the glint of a knife. Miguel opened a switchblade, grabbing her ankles.
“Whoa, hang on,” Miles talked to her—the first one to do so. “He’s gonna cut the tape, just so you can move your legs, okay?”
She gazed up at his soft dark eyes, her own still welling with tears. She felt the release on her legs give way as she kicked the rest of the tape off.
“Lights out,” a cold, distant voice ordered. The sound came from the front passenger seat, where Peter sat in tense silence.
Both Miles and Miguel seemed to hesitate, glancing at each other.
“You sure?” Miles questioned.
“He didn’t stutter,” the silver-haired woman replied, definitively. There was a bite in her voice, but it carried with it a tiredness filled with frustration. She sounded more like an older sister jabbing a younger sibling.
The woman popped open her door to get out. “Let’s go, boys. We got groceries inside.”
The world went black again. A dark hood was thrown over her head, obscuring her view.

Hello it’s me again! Peter Maximoff x non-mutant reader. Peter is super excited about something and he’s running around the room like a ball in a pinball machine. The reader is trying to grab him so he can explain what it is. When they finally do catch him, Peter hugs them back EXTREMELY tight, trying to “stay still” (boy is probably vibrating). The rest is whatever you come up with. :)
His Excitement Running Strong
Tumblr media
Peter Maximoff x reader
Words: 729
Authors note: well hello again so lovely to see you again and thank you for the request as always, it is always welcome.
Tumblr media
“Peter!” You shouted, poking your head down to peek into his basement before your legs followed. He called you on the phone excitedly, very excitedly, mentioning to come over, because he had big news.
The last time he had “big news” it was nothing more than his favorite game having a new edition. That got him excited but nothing like this. When you called for him down the stairs all you heard was, “you’re here!” Before a gust of wind started traveling around the room.
“Woah,” you exclaimed, breeze immediately passing by you. Peter’s all over the place, practically bouncing off every corner and you can’t even keep up. You try to grab him but of course you’re basically miles off because he’s already moved on by then.
It was at that moment that you wondered if having powers yourself would make this a whole lot easier. Although you didn’t have any powers and couldn’t really catch him, there was still something you could try.
Collecting some nearby shoes and basically whatever you could find, you made a little barrier on the ground. The pla was simple, you were going to make him trip. It was a long shot and no doubt he could just avoid the obstruction but hopefully he’d be too distracted by his big news that he’d just fall right into your trap.
And to your genuine surprise, it worked…maybe a little too well. You watch in shock as he hits the ground harder than you expected.
“Peter!”
Dropping onto your knees you turn him over onto his back, “are you okay?” His expression still remained quite happy as he sprung up into a seated position, but before he could make any movement, you wrapped your arms around him, tight. You figured this way if he goes haywire you’ll just go with him.
“Wow, you’re practically vibrating,” you mutter while he imitates your earlier movement, wrapping you into a tighter hug, “don’t let go. If you let go I might not be able to stop.”
“Okay I won’t let go, but what’s got you so excited?” You ask peering up at him. His grin widens revealing most of his teeth and you smile back still confused due to lack of any more information. But luckily you don’t have it wait much longer to get it.
“Charles said you can come see the mansion.”
Your smile dropped, not quite expecting that. “I can come to the mansion?” You repeated, processing his words.
“Yeah, I asked Charles and he was iffy at first but he came up to me later and told me it was alright.”
Your arms loosen around him but he still holds onto you tight, “isn’t that kind of serious? I mean I’m not a mutant or anything.”
“It’s rare, but few non-mutants have seen the place,” his previous expression falls slightly into a forced one as he picks up the expression of concern written on your face, “aren’t you excited?”
Your eyes met his, noticing that your own mood was causing his to falter, “no I am! I mean this is awesome! I’ll get to see a new part of you, the teacher part,” you added rainsing your eyebrows and leaning into him a little, before leaning back again.
“I just…feel a little nervous that’s all. I’ll be the only one there without powers or anything…cool. Won’t it be…awkward?”
“Maybe.” Peter leans back a little to get a better view of you, while you look up, “but I’ll be right there with you, giving you the whole tour, I’ll never leave your side. It’ll be great, I absolutely promise you.” He gave you another squeeze, “I’m so excited for you to see everything.”
You couldn’t fight off the happiness that was spreading off from him again and honestly you were surprised by how enthusiastic he was about the situation especially considering how nonchalant he always acts about the whole being a part of the x-men thing.
But still, his words did reassure you that everything would be fine, and like you said it was a whole new part of him that you’ve never seen before. “I can't wait Peter.”
Sure it may be awkward and you were still anxious, but it was still exciting having him be able to share this part of his life with you and you couldn’t wait to see it.

𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐘’𝐒 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄’𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒 !
— ❥ 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞: 𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 + 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
( warnings: insecurities, mentions of kind of shitty parents and past partners, one mention of food )
( note: this short was written with tom holland’s peter parker in mind, but i think it would also work for andrew garfield’s if you’d rather picture him. )
Tumblr media
you are not a person who is used to praise. this isn’t something you say to garner sympathy or to make people feel bad for you so they’ll compliment you, not at all - it’s just a fact. your parents have never been the kind of people to vocally express approval, usually settling for an awkwardly cleared throat and a hand squeezing your shoulder, and the few romantic partners you’d had before your current boyfriend apparently hadn’t seen the need for it either. but then, you’d realized after those relationships had ended, your partners hadn’t really seemed to appreciate anything you did for them anyway, so the fact that they weren’t big on complimenting you isn’t exactly shocking.
what is shocking, however, is what happens when you start dating one peter parker. when he’d first confessed his feelings to you and asked you out, face scarlet and stumbling over his words all the while, you hadn’t really expected much of a difference from your previous relationships. sure, peter was much sweeter and more genuine than your former partners, but at that point you’d been convinced that you just attracted people who didn’t express gratitude, so you’d assumed, with no small amount of disappointment, that this relationship would turn out to be the same.
you find very quickly that you’re in for a surprise.
peter isn’t really known for being the most eloquent guy around; everyone at school is familiar with the way he tends to trip over his words, even if he can occasionally land well-placed verbal blows on bullies or anyone who’s being an idiot. but his tendency towards stumbling over his words hasn’t stopped him from praising almost everything you do since the two of you started dating - quite the opposite, in fact. almost every time you do something for him, or, in fact, even when you just do something that could be generally considered good, he’s quick to shoot a compliment your way in that sweet, slightly awkward way you’ve come to associate with him and him only.
“oh, you didn’t have to make breakfast - thank you, though, really, it looks like it’s gonna be delicious!”
“is… is that a new outfit? i mean, it’s fine if it’s not, too, obviously, but you… you look really good in it. like, wow.”
and, you’re surprised to find, even when you mess up or you’re struggling, the praise doesn’t stop coming; in fact, it seems to increase, now combined with encouragements and forehead kisses and even offers to help with whatever you’re having trouble with, something you’re even less used to than compliments.
“i know this is really hard, but you’re doing really good, okay? i’m super proud of you, no matter what.”
“is there anything i can do to help? maybe i can’t help with the actual thing, but i can get you a snack? or, are you cold, i can get you a blanket?”
“i’m really proud of you, you know. i just… i mean, i dunno, i just thought i’d tell you.”
it’s everything you haven’t had from anyone up until this point, everything you didn’t know you wanted until you and peter got together… and you’re not entirely sure you deserve it. you know your boyfriend isn’t exactly in the habit of saying things he doesn’t mean, but it’s all just so much, all the compliments and affirmations, and while it does feel good, you’re never sure exactly how to react to it at the time, and it always makes you feel like the worst partner ever when your own attempts to return the praise are always so awkward and stilted.
you tell peter all of this, one night when the two of you are curled together in bed. you’re not entirely sure where you find the courage to voice what you’ve been thinking - maybe it’s just the effect of being in the dark, the little burst of confidence to say things you’d never have the wherewithal to say in the light of day. nevertheless, you finally voice all the negative thoughts swirling around in your head, your voice quiet and shy, but the words there all the same.
the moment you’re done, peter shifts around in bed, moving so that the two of you are facing each other, your own face cupped gently in his hands. you can’t make out every little detail of him in the dark - not that it matters, when every facet of his face has been engraved in your mind and heart for months now - but you can see the way his eyes are wide with genuine concern and affection, how his mouth is turned down in a sad little frown that you’d surely think was absolutely adorable had you not just shared your most vulnerable, insecure thoughts with him.
“babe,” peter says, his voice soft and sweet and oh so gentle. “of course you deserve compliments and encouragement and all that, you’re amazing. and i mean, everyone deserves compliments and that kind of stuff, but you deserve them more than most people, because you’re amazing and ‘cause i know you haven’t had a lot of them. and it’s okay if you can’t always give it back to me, you show your love in other ways and that’s fine. i know it’s kind of hard to believe when you’ve convinced yourself of something different, but i don’t have any problem keeping on telling you until you do believe it, and i will. okay?”
it’s not the most eloquent speech ever, but it’s honest and loving and so peter that you can’t help it, a few tears well up in your eyes. but peter sees them immediately, because of course he does, and he immediately swoops in to kiss your eyelids, pushing them away. you nestle your face into the curve of his neck, so overcome, for a moment, with all the love you feel for this awkward, adorable, wonderful boy, and in return the boy in question wraps his arms around your waist and snuggles you closer to him, knowing to give words a rest for a moment and just let you hold him and process.
he’s right, of course, as he tends to be. everything you think and feel, all the effects of being deprived of praise and encouragement for so much of your life, are going to take a while to overcome, to replace with positivity and acceptance of all the things your boyfriend thinks and says about you. but you can’t help but believe peter when he says that he’s going to keep at it, with all the boundless determination that makes him such an amazing person and hero, until you really do believe him.

Who asked who? (April 6th prompt; Humiliate) @jilymicrofics
James watches Lily from across the room, her perfect lips turned up in an ever so beautiful smile as she listens to whatever her friend, Mary Macdonald, is telling her.
I’m going to humiliate myself, he thinks, before reluctantly looking away from her to glance at Remus standing next to him.
„Just ask her, James.“ Remus encourages, giving his shoulder a slight nudge. „She’ll say yes.“
James swallows against the lump in his throat. „You really think?“ he asks nervously. „She kind of hates me, though, doesn’t she?“
Remus rolls his eyes, albeit in good nature, as he shakes his head.
„Nah,“ Sirius suddenly chimes in, coming up to them with Peter following behind. „She doesn’t. At least not anymore.“ he winks, making James groan.
„Just do it, mate,“ Sirius insists, this time with nothing but genuine support. „You‘ve wanted to do this since like, forever.“
„I didn’t—“
„What‘re you lot up to?“
James nearly jumps as Lily suddenly stands next to him, brows raised in question.
„Uhm, we— nothing much.“ he stammers, and could curse himself for it. That’s not how he normally acts…what’s wrong with him?
Lily doesn’t look convinced at all, though, much to his surprise, she grants him one of those sweet smiles — the ones she uses with her friends. „Alright, well…James, actually, I was wondering whether you‘d want to hang out sometime?“
James could have sworn his heart just skipped a beat. „Hang out?“ he asks, just to make sure he hadn’t heard wrong. „Like…just us?“
„Yeah,“ Lily chuckles, the sound making his skin prickle. „if you’re up for it?“
She’s so beautiful…how can anybody be so bloody gorgeous? And her smile—
„Prongs?“ Sirius whispers after a moment, poking his arm. „Stop staring, mate.“
„Uh— yeah! I mean, sure, let’s do that.“ James replies quickly, snapping out of his daze. „I’ll think of something.“
Lily’s eyes brighten further, if that’s even possible. „It’s a date.“ she agrees, before catching Mary‘s arm to walk to their next class. „See you in the common room, James.“
James can only wave as he watches the two girls walk off, his heart beating in his throat and his mind racing. „What…what just happened?“
Remus lightly clasps his back. „Seems like you’re going on a date.“
He’s going on a date…with Lily. Merlin’s pants…
„Bloody hell,“ Sirius smirks, wrapping an arm around James’s shoulders. „You got a date! Finally! — even though you were hopelessly humiliating yourself just then.“
„Congrats Prongs.“ Peter chimes in next to them.
James smiles, though he only half listens to what his friends are saying, his eyes still fixed on where Lily‘d stood, just moments ago, when she’d asked him out.
„I’m going on a date,“ he finally utters, trying to stop himself from grinning like a complete idiot. „with Lily Evans.“

♥ Summary:  here you go :D here's the outcome of spencer's most recent prank- and the reader's well deserved revenge [Prof!Spencer Reid x GN-Prof!Reader]
♥ Warnings: threats of bodily harm
♥ A/N: keep the requests coming, i love writing for these two SO MUCH
♥ Word Count: 1268
Series Masterlist
♥♥♥
Spencer wasn’t surprised when you burst into his classroom, the image of barely contained rage burned into your features.  He was surprised that your voice sounded so sweet when you called out to him.
“Hey, Doctor Reid?  Can I talk to you outside for a second?”
You gave an apologetic look to his students.  It looked genuine.  Still, Reid couldn’t be fooled.  He knew his plan had worked.  Garcia had gotten into your PowerPoint slides.  He was under your skin.  Smirking, he followed you out the door and into the hallway.
The second the door shut behind Reid, you rounded on him with fury in your eyes the likes of which he had never seen.
“You little shit.  I’m gonna fucking stab you in your left butt cheek.  You fucked up my fucking slides.”
Spencer paused before he spoke.  It looked like he was doing his best not to laugh, “You brought this on yourself.”
“Did I?  Did I really bring this on myself?  I gave your students a typewriter to bother you because you were being a dick.  Explain to me how this is appropriate vengeance!”
You didn’t need that explained to you.  Honestly, it was the perfect form of vengeance.  You had targeted his anti-tech tendencies with malicious compliance, and he had attacked your technology in return.  It was perfect.  You couldn’t let him know you thought that, though- and there was something else about the prank that stood out to you.
Spencer hated technology.  By his own admission, he could barely send an email without losing his mind.  It made you wonder- if he hated technology so much, then how had he hacked your slides?
“Look, you’re the one who decided to bother an MIT graduate.  I don’t know if you know this, but we have a history of going nuclear.”
“Oh, you’re proud of that one, aren’t you?” you hissed, “How long did it take you to come up with it?  Twenty minutes?  Thirty?”
Reid blushed, and you knew you’d struck some sort of nerve.  You decided to press down harder, “Y’know, I doubt that it was just your MIT-grad-ass conspiring on this little project.  Who helped you, Reid?  Was it Evans?  Peters?”
You kept listing librarians and comp sci profs, but his facial expression never changed.  You were heading in the wrong direction.
You stopped, falling silent so you could think for a moment.  Reid moved to fill the silence, but you shushed him, holding a hand up to stop him in his place.  You thought back to the search you’d done on Reid.  His team had a technical analyst- she’d seemed cool, but was she cool enough for this?
After a while, you turned back to Reid.  Raising an eyebrow, you asked, “Did you get your FBI girl to break into my PowerPoint slides?”
He stuttered, face taking on a pink hue as he tried to find some sort of excuse or distraction- it was too late, though.  You already had your answer.
“Holy shit!  You got your FBI girl to break into my PowerPoint slides!”
“Wait, no, I-!”
A massive grin broke across your face, “Oh, fuck.  I must really bother you if you called the fucking Feds on me!  Jesus Christ.  How often am I on your mind?”
“You’re not- you’re never on my mind,” Reid’s face was bright red now.  His arms were drawn across his chest protectively.  You almost felt bad- but not quite.
“Y’know,” you snorted out a laugh, “I’ll be honest, I’m impressed.  This took work.  It took planning.  Patience.  And I mean, it’s a good PowerPoint to boot, so…”
“I- thank you?  I-” Reid’s stuttering made it very clear that you had broken his brain.
“No problem, sunshine.  Anyway, since you made such a good presentation, and you worked so hard to get my attention by putting it where I would see it-”
“I don’t want your attention!”
You spoke over him, “I’m gonna let you off easy- on one condition.”
He looked at you with wide eyes, and at that moment, it didn’t matter that he was a million inches taller than you.  You had the high ground.  You relished it.
“Are my original files safe?”
Without another word, Reid nodded.  Another massive grin split your face, “Perfect!  Now I don’t have to stab you in the throat!”
Reid was at a loss for words- and you took advantage of that.
“Unfortunately,” you leaned towards him, “You can’t just go unpunished.”
Spencer shivered at your words.  You didn’t notice.
“Since you made my class such a lovely presentation, why don’t I go and share some fun facts with your students?”
The smile on your face turned fiendish, and before Spencer could even think of moving, you were already in his classroom with the door locked tight behind you.  He could hear your voice through the door, incredibly chill as you addressed his students.
“Hey, kids!  Quick aside,” You sounded so incredibly chill despite the fact that you were full-on hijacking a class.
“Did you guys know that a midsize private jet burns a low estimate of one hundred and ninety-eight gallons of jet fuel per hour at minimum?  Isn’t that neat?”
Spencer fought the internal urge to scream- the urge to bang on the door and demand that you let him back in.  He had a reputation to protect.  He had to come off as composed.  Therefore, he made the professional decision to stand outside, cross his arms, and pray to the science gods that you would come out of that room sooner rather than later.
To his surprise, you did.  You were in and out in the course of five minutes- though it did feel like longer.  As you made your exit, you stretched your arms out in front of you, cracking your knuckles as you did.
“And there we go.  We’re even, now!  My class is educated in the ways of handwritten notes, and yours is educated in the existential horrors of climate change and private jets.”
You gave Reid’s arm a casual pat with the back of your hand.  You moved to pat him again, but you stopped when he flinched.  The smile on your face dimmed slightly.  You didn’t even notice it, but he did.
The two of you just stood in the hallway for a moment, staring at each other.  You were both still, both quiet.  You could hear his students starting to mumble behind the door.
“You should get back,” your voice was quieter than you wanted it to be, “They’re about to go crazy.”
“No thanks to you.”
“Yeah, well,” you shrugged, “Keep making your students handwrite things and the typewriter will be back to ease things over.”
“Is that a promise?”
Your smile was back to full brightness.  Reid wondered why he preferred it that way.
“Absolutely.”
Despite the fact that his classroom door was wide open, Reid stayed in the hallway.  He watched you leave, the shape of you growing smaller and smaller until you were gone.  When he finally did re-enter the room, all eyes were on him.
“Well,” he clapped his hands together, his lips drawing together in an awkward smile, “Now that that’s over, how about we talk a little about the dark figure of crime?”
His students allowed him to control the lesson without complaint- but he could feel their eyes on him even after the class ended.  Worse than that, he could feel you.  Your eyes were still on him, your words still under his skin.
He’d get you back for this.  He had to.  He couldn’t let you win.

HELLO
First of all the way you write rocket is genuinely amazing. Eating up everything you put up on your page with him.
And second, i was wondering if you would be ok with writing rocket x reader where reader comes out as asexual to him. And at first Rocket thinks the problem is him and the way he looks but the reader explains that there's nothing wrong to his looks, it's just how they are.
A little hurt comfort maybe where it's just a misunderstanding.
Hope you are having a good day and thank you
Here you go <3 I really hope this is kinda what you were thinking because I got VERY carried away
and if i implied anything in a bad way im sorry ;;

You sat on the large couch in the common area, re-reading the book you had read probably hundreds of times at this point. You could hear the laughter of Peter and Rocket from the front of the ship, and every now and then the sounds of someone walking around on the upper decks.
“I’ll be right back, Pete.” You heard Rocket say, your eyes lifting from your book as you heard him making his way to where you were. “Hey sweets.” Rocket said, taking his usual spot next to you, “Hey Rocky.” You smiled, looking over at him. “That damn book again? You’ve just about ruined it for yourself haven’t you?” He chuckled, “No, no. It still reads the same way it did as when I first picked it up.”
You could tell by his eyes, he wanted something.
“Aren’t you supposed to be helping Peter, you know, steer and navigate and what not?” You asked, raising a brow at him. “Well,” He said quietly, scooting closer to you, “Pete’s got it.. I have some time,” He started, hand placed on your thigh and slowly creeping upwards. Your breath hitched, “Oh, uh, you know, not right now, Rocket. Maybe later tonight..” You said, seeing the disappointment in his face, his ears twitched ever so slightly. He pulled his hand away. “Alright.” He said, leaning back into the cushion. “That’s what you said every other night..” He mumbled, standing back up almost as soon as he was getting comfortable. “Rock-” You started, almost tempted to reach out to him. “No, I get it, it’s fine. Y’know Peter probably needs me anyway, gotta help him with his shit all the time.” He huffed, feigning a smile. You opened your mouth to try and stop him, but he just stared at you. You closed your lips, eyes darting back down to the book, listening to his footsteps almost hurrying back to the pilot area.
You dropped the book into your lap, hands cupping your face as you sighed heavily, trying not to cry. How were you going to tell him?
-
“I just don’t get it, man.” Peter shrugged, glancing over at the slightly irritated raccoon. “Why don’t you just ask her what's up?” “I don’t think it's that easy, Pete.” Rocket huffed, staring out into the darkness of space. “I mean, everyone has needs, she’s gotta come around to it eventually, right? I mean, yeah it's a little weird, y’know, you being a raccoon and all and she’s-” Peter felt the side eye from Rocket, “But she likes or loves you or whatever, soo..” “How do you do it?” Rocket asks, Peter raising a brow. “You boast about all these women you’ve been with, including Gamora, how do you get them to, y’know..” His voice trailed off, almost embarrassed to be asking this damn question. Peter snickered, “How do I get them in bed with me? Now Rocket, that is private information that I don’t think I want to share with you.” He teased, “But, I guess it’s just my charm.” When Peter didn’t get a response from the normally snappy raccoon, his eyebrows almost softened, feeling bad for his best friend.
“Look man, you gotta flirt with her and shit. Don’t be such an asshole all the time, like, tell her how beautiful she is, compliment her and stuff.” Peter shrugged, “I do!” Rocket threw his arms up, “Or at least I think I do. Am I that much of an asshole that she won’t even sleep with me? I mean I’ve tried, I’ve made moves, we sleep in the same damn bed half the time! She just rolls away or mumbles ‘not tonight’ again and again. Why the hell are you humies so stuck up sometimes?!”
Peter glanced over at him, doing one of those half ass-white Terran smiles. Peter was catching on to what you were feeling.
“What?” “Nothing, nothing.” Peter shook his head, eyes back on the literal space in front of him.
“You’re no help either, dammit.” He hopped out of his chair, “I’m going to talk to Drax.” Rocket waved his paw at Peter, climbing the ladder to the next level up.
Peter shook his head, thinking he had to go talk to you to try and figure this out and help his friend if he could.
-
“Drax!” Rocket banged on the large metal door, sliding open to reveal the tall, muscular man who resided behind it. “Yes?’ Drax asked, almost confused as to what Rocket could possibly need from him right now.
“Gotta talk to you.” The raccoon said, sliding past Drax, “And close the damn door, I don’t need anyone, especially Y/N to hear.” He relaxed hearing the metals connect to the closing door.
“So,” Drax started,
“How do you get a woman in bed?”
Rocket asked flatly, almost catching Drax off guard. “You came in here to ask me how to make love to a woman?” “No no, Jesus, not make love, I can do that shit, but how do you convince her in the first place? I mean you had a kid, obviously you know what you’re doing.” Drax sat on his bed, watching Rocket climb into the chair across from him. “You’re trying to have sex with Y/N?” “Yes! Duh, who the hell else? But she just..won’t.” Rocket shrugged, swaying side to side in the chair, “Well when I met my wife..” Drax trailed off, thinking for a moment about her. “We fell in love, and made our beautiful daughter. Maybe you two are not in love.” Rocket stared at him blankly, “We definitely are.” He said confidently.
“..Maybe it is because you are small, and hairy. And sort of ugly.” Drax stated, Rocket baring his teeth slightly at him. “Shit, you’re as much help as Pete is.” He groaned, rubbing his eyes.
“Have you considered just asking?” Drax suggested, “Peter said the same damn thing. The hell do you guys want me to do? Just walk up all ‘Oh hey Y/N, wanna have sex with me?’ I don’t think so.” Rocket argued.
“Yes.” Drax said matter of factly.
“You know what, screw this.” Rocket jumped from the chair and made his way to the door. “And so help me Drax if you say a word to anyone about this I will claw your damn eyes out.” The door shut heavily behind a very disheveled Rocket.
-
“Y/N? Y/N!” You heard your name being called, the voice approaching from down the hall. You set down the dish you were cleaning and leaned out the door of the kitchen, seeing Peter poking his head into all the hallway doors looking for you, “What’s up?” You asked, raising your brow. “You free?” Peter asked, causing confusion on your end. “Uh.. yeah, why? Something happened? Need some help up front?” “No, I just have a question for you.” Peter walked into the kitchen and leaned on the counter as you picked your dish back up and continued to clean. “Ask away.”
You could hear Peter swallow, almost nervous.
“Have you and Rocket ever..” He trailed off, anticipating you to start telling him ot fuck off and mind his own business. Instead you became ridgid, feeling all the color wash from your face. “I-I don’t mean to be intruding!” He tried to save himself from the awkward conversation ahead, noticing you tense. “Why?” You asked quietly.
“Well, ugh this feels so weird to talk about and I probably shouldn’t be but, Rocket came to me and like, asked how to get with a woman..in that..situation..because he said you wouldn’t..” His voice was quiet, almost like a child afraid to be scolded.
You let out a heavy breath, setting down your plate. “I know what you mean.” You didn’t even bother looking over at him.
“Do you even..want to?”
“Yes, well, no, but not no in a bad way. It’s just..I’m..” You dropped your shoulders,
“Is it Rocket?” “No, of course not. It’s definitely me.”
“Oh. I get it. Then why don’t you talk to him. Let him know..?
You let out an accidental laugh, “Ha! Easier said than done.”
“What do you mean?”
“Come on Pete, you know Rocket. How he reacts to shit.”
What you didn’t know was the keen ears of a raccoon had picked up on his name on your lips down the hall, stopping in his place to eavesdrop.
“I just can’t do that, I’m not into it, y’know? You seem to have figured that out.” You said.
Rockets ears pinned to his head, clicking his tongue, “Whatever..” He brushed off the hurt, continuing on his way down the hall, failing to listen to the next words out of your mouth.
“I love him, everything about him. But I just don’t feel those feelings. And I never really have for anyone, anything even. I don’t know if Rocket would believe me if I tried to explain that to him..” You rubbed your temples, Peter trying to think, trying to help the both of you.
“I thought I’d be able to figure this out if I heard both stories here but, you’re right, he’d probably just assume the worst. I really just think you gotta tell him. I know it won’t be easy, but he doesn’t know what to think, he’s confused as to why whenever he makes a move you shy away everytime. He needs some type of explanation, and you need to stop hiding it from him if you really love him.”
You closed your eyes and shook your head, a shaky sigh escaping your lips. “You’re right.” “Per usual.” Peter said coyly, earning himself a death glare, “Ok, sorry not the time for that. But, I’ll leave you to it then. I don’t know where he went after he brushed my advice off. He couldn’t have gone far.” Peter waved, “But it is getting late, he might’ve decided to head to your- his-  the room for the night. I’m gonna do the same soon.” He suggested, leaving the kitchen and heading back to his captain seat.
Gotta tell him, don’t you?
This was a lot for you to decide.
You wanted to tell him, but then again it’s Rocket. Snarky, aggressive, jumping to conclusions, Rocket.
-
You had made your final rounds of checking on everyone before you headed to yours and Rockets shared room. Saying your goodnights and making sure doors were secured, lights that weren’t needed were off.
Were you stalling? Yes, for sure. You now knew Rocket had some type of suspicion about why you wouldn’t engage with him, and you became nervous to even enter the room, afraid to get either berated, interrogated, anything. You just weren’t ready to come out to him yet.
You slowly opened the door, prepared for what you thought was to come.
But nothing.
“You’re in here early.” You said wearily, noticing how calm he was.
That was unusual for him.
“Yeah, had some shit in here to do, figured get it done before Peter talks my ears off about getting it done.” His back was facing you.
Normally he would get up, hug you, kiss you, tease you, anything. But he was scarily..normal.
“Oh, alright. Sounds good.” Your nervous eyes darted around the room, searching for your pajamas to grab to get an excuse to go to the bathroom and escape the tense air.
“You left them on the bathroom floor when ya changed earlier.” Rocket read your mind, “Thanks.” You hurried into the bathroom, closing the door and letting out a heavy sigh.
Gotta tell him, gotta tell him. Dammit! Just tell him.
A knock at the door. “You good? I gotta piss, hurry it up.” Rocket almost hissed. You didn’t realize how long you had been sitting there.
“Sorry.” You practically tore off your clothes and got into your pajamas, opening the door and getting right into your bed.
How were you gonna approach this?
You heard the trickle of urine hitting water, your heart speeding up.
Gotta tell him.
The flush of the toilet.
The bathroom lights went out, and out came Rocket in his own pajamas, which was just a pair of loose pants.
He got back into his chair at his desk, the sound of screwdrivers hitting screws, wires snapping with electricity.
“So, um.” You started, picking at the skin around your nails. “I know earlier I said we could..tonight..”
You glanced over at him when his tinkering noises silenced. Ears twitched with irritation, flattening ever so slightly.
“I already know the damn answer. It’s no, again.”
“Yes, But, I need to tell you something-”
“Oh,” He spun, looking at you harshly, “I already know the damn answer.”
“You do..?” You asked, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
Who told him? How did he find out? A god, he was a lot more mad than you thought he would be.
“I sure as hell do. And I don’t need to hear another word outta your damn mouth.” He snapped, eyes staring into yours.
“I didn’t think you’d be that mad about it.”
“You gotta be shittin’ me, Y/N.” He laughed.
You almost cracked a smile, assuming his laughter meant you had mistaken his anger.
But you were so wrong.
“You’re not into it, I know that now. Not into me, not into the way I look, I bet thats what it fuckin’ is. You just can’t do it.” He seethed, anger leaking from his tone.
“Wait, Rocky, what-?” You sat up into your bed. “Oh don’t ‘Rocky’ me. I heard you and Pete. I heard what you said. I love you, Y/N and you just go and say some shit like that? Ya just can’t do it.” He mocked you with the last line, turning back to face away from you to pool in anger.
“You were spying on us.” You mumbled. “It's hard not to spy when you’re just blurting names out willy nilly.”
“You didn’t hear the whole fucking conversation!” You snapped back, causing Rocket to shift in his seat and turn an ear to you.
“Oh yeah? And what else did you say? How much I disgust you? How you would never sleep with me? How I’m probably just some dumb idiot who-”
“Rocket! God dammit listen to me! You shouted at him, your tone laced with frustration.
He turned to you, placing his hands behind his head. “Fuckin’ speak your peace then.”
Your face dropped.
You had to do it now, with his attention.
“I..I’m..” You stumbled over your words getting caught in your throat.
“Right.” He scoffed, getting out of his chair. “I’m getting a drink.” Rocket made his way to the door,
Hand reaching for the handle..
Just say it.
“I’m asexual.” You whispered.
“What?” His ears perked up, body turning to you. “You’re what..?”
“Asexual.” You swallowed the nervous lump, waiting for him to start some shit.
“That's.. It? This whole time?” “A long time, actually. I just.. Didn’t know how to tell you..how you’d react.” His gaze softened as he made his way to you, sitting on the edge of the bed.
“So it’s..not the way I look or..” “Oh god no, Rock, I think you are the most handsome guy in the galaxy. You have an attractive personality, too. I just don’t feel those feelings like you do. And I’m sorry if I can’t give you what you-”
“Shut up.” Rocket said lowly, taking you back. “What?” “You don’t have to apologize, you idiot. You could’ve just told me. I would’ve been fine with it. I mean, I am fine with it. Just.. kinda mad it took you so long. Do you not trust me or somethin’?”
You breathed a sigh of relief, “I do trust you, I just assumed you’d be angry.”
“Well you know what they say about assuming.” He teased. “I’m just glad to know you don’t think I’m an ugly fuck or some shit.”
You tousled the fur on his head, “Of course I don’t think that.” “Thank god, your opinion is the only person’s that matters to me.” Rocket chuckled, sliding off the bed and back into his chair.
“Now c’mere, I need you to help me with this, and I want your beautiful dumbass next to me.”
You rolled your eyes, pulling up your own chair beside him, both of you leaning over the desk in the low light of the desk lamp.
“So, Y/N, when we’re done with this, can you um.. Educate me a little on the whole asexual shit? I’m tech smart, not that smart. Don’t wanna make a fool of myself.” He said softly.
“Sure thing, Rocky.” You smiled.

Crossed Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Hobie talked about Spider Society often over the course of your friendship. Pav, Gwen & Peter B. were the ones he talked about the most. He also frequently complained about Miguel O’Hara and Jessica Drew.
Needless to say, you thought you knew what you were walking into when you made the rash to decision to take you and Hobie right back to the people that hurt him.
Now, standing in the middle of HQ, with a shirtless Hobie leaning on your shoulder for support, you feel incredibly stupid, and regret acting before thinking.
“Woahh…” you trail off, unable to really comprehend what you’re seeing. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of Spider people are walking all over the place. By the time you take in the massive compound, several Spider-people have noticed you and Hobie.
Hobie’s arm that’s draped over your shoulders tenses, and before you can ask why, you see who’s gotten his attention.
The Spider-person standing several yards away from you has massive shoulders and a scowl that puts a bit of fear into your heart.
You gather that this must be Miguel O’Hara.
“Listen love, i don’ know what’s gon ta happen, but if I tell you ta go, I need you ta go,” Hobie mutters quietly.
“Fat chance,” you shoot back.
Miguel stalks forward in large strides, but he’s going slow enough to make you begin to regret several decisions.
“Oi, this is a bloody bad idea,” Hobie tells you.
You ignore him.
Once Miguel is a few feet closer, he flicks his gaze towards the stitches in Hobie’s side and then back at you. A flash of *something* flickers across his eyes. Whatever it is has Hobie standing ramrod straight, removing his arm from around your shoulders.
Miguel smirks at Hobie’s uncharacteristic posture.
“Leave ‘er outta this mate,” Hobie says lowly.
“It’s a little too late for that, don’t you think?” Miguel asks, his attention not really focused on Hobie, but rather yourself. Hobie steps in front of you protectively, and suddenly you find your voice, remembering why you ended up here in the first place.
“And just who do you think you are?” you demand angrily.
If Miguel is surprised by your boldness, he doesn’t show it.
“My name is Miguel O’Hara and I-“
You resist the urge to roll your eyes. “I know who you are,” you huff impatiently. You side step Hobie and advance towards Miguel. “I mean since WHEN was Spider-Man the bad guy?”
Miguel’s fuse was already short, but having a non-spider person come after all that he’s been trying to save and vilify him has him exploding.
“I do what I have to do to keep all of our universes in tact,” he gestures to the Spider spectators, “including yours!” He jabs a finger toward your chest.
“And what could have possibly made you do that?!” You swing your arm back towards Hobie. A few gasps and some murmurs traveled through the compound like a wave.
“He could have died!! For what? Helping some kid that you guys treated horribly? Give me a break. You’re a shit leader if you think it’s okay to hurt one of your own,” your voice rises, blood boiling as you witness the establishment, everything that Hobie stood against fail who they’re supposed to support.
“You think this was about helping that kid Miles?” Miguel asks, genuine curiosity buried beneath the smugness in his demeanor.
“Miguel, that’s enough,” Hobie interjects firmly.
“She really has no idea does she?”
You look back at Hobie. Was he really keeping something from you or was this asshole just trying to get a rise out of you?
“I didn’t do that trying to stop him from helping Miles,” Miguel began. “In fact, he left the moment Miles escaped.”
Webs suddenly plastered themselves to Miguel’s mouth, preventing him from continuing.
“I said that’s enough, Miguel.” Hobie’s voice had dropped and he sounded deadly serious.
Rage transformed Miguels face as he ripped the webs off.
“Hobie Brown got that,” he points to the slowly healing wound, “because he tried to get back before his next canon event happened.”
This surprised you. “But I thought your canon event already happened?” you look back at Hobie, surprised that your spunky best friend wouldn’t meet your gaze.
Miguel sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Lyla!”
A little computer woman appeared and ran the program that explains everything. Each Spider-person goes through several canon events, most , if not all of them tragedies. There was a pang in your chest when you thought about Hobie. You had always assumed that being Spider-Punk was all fun and games.
“So you see, I can’t have two people trying to break their canon events. Hobie is, believe it or not, more predictable than Miles Morales.”
Predictable is not quite the word you would use to describe Hobie Brown, but you’re beginning to think that you maybe don’t know him as well as you thought.
Miguel can see the gears turning in your head.
“I have several spiders in Miles’ world to stop him from saving his father,” Miguel explains.
The statement sounds wrong to your ears ,but according to Miguel, it needs to be done.
“I went to your world to try to stop Hobie, hence how he got… scratched up. I’m not too late, but I clearly wasn’t as successful as I had hoped.”
Miguel all but sneers at Hobie. “I’ll admit I didn’t think he would bring you here.”
“He didn’t,” you correct Miguel. “I brought us here, I just used his watch.”
“That wasn’t really a great idea, now was it?” Miguel’s tone turned condescending. “Makes my job easier.”
“I’m having regrets, but it’s not the worst thing that’s happened.”
Hobie grabs your wrist, tugging you backwards. “Love, we gotta get outta ‘ere. Now.”
Miguel shakes his head. “I’m surprised it hasn’t clicked yet.”
You look back at Hobie, who now has your wrist in a death grip. Hobie’s struggling to maintain eye contact.
A second later, he looks completely devastated, as Miguel’s claws come out.
“He wants to stop his next canon event, by trying to save you.”

“Who the hell is that?”
Everyone turned their heads to see who Peter was staring at. Like always, it was you. But this time, it was you and a tall blonde boy that was making you throw your head back laughing.
“That’s Sebastian.” Kate replied.
“Sebastian? Psht. What? I’ve literally never heard of that name. What is he, a crab? Psht.” Peter scoffed and continued to stare daggers at Harry, who was leaning against your locker to be closer to you.
“Don’t “psht” him.” Gwen laughed. “He’s a nice guy.”
“Says who?” Peter scoffed again.
“Says Y/n. Because she’s totally in love with him.” Kate said in a sing-songy voice.
“Huh?” Peter asked as his eyes went wide.
“They’re a thing.” Gwen shrugged. “You didn’t know that?”
“Huh?” Peter asked again, louder this time.
“Can you stop doing that?” MJ asked him.
“What do you mean they’re a thing?” He asked the girls.
“They’re talking.” Kate shrugged.
“About what?” Peter wondered and looked over his shoulder at you again.
“No, dingus. They’re talking. As in in a talking stage.” Kate explained. Peter looked at you again before leaning in closer to the girls.
“But what are they talking about?” He whispered.
“Oh my God.” Gwen groaned. “They’re in the stage before dating. It’s commonly known as the talking stage. Haven’t you ever been in a situationship before?”
“Are these real words?” Peter asked genuinely and looked to MJ for help.
“I don’t even know what to say at this point.” MJ held up her hands in defense.
“A situationship means they have feelings for each other but aren’t in a committed relationship. At least, not yet anyway.” Kate explained.
“Exactly. They text and go on dates. That’s a situationship. And as we’ve said, the stage before dating.” Gwen continued.
“There’s a stage before dating?” Peter asked. “Isn’t that just friendship?”
“How have you never heard these words? What do boys learn in school?” Kate asked.
“Where did she even find that guy? Under the sea? He’s way too old to be blonde. Men should not be blonde past age 10. He seriously needs to grow up.” Peter scoffed as his jealousy got the better of him. He turned around to look at you again and you were doing your fake laugh as Sebastian told you a story in an obnoxiously loud voice.
“They met in her sociology class.” Kate replied. “He asked for her snap and then walked her to her next class. Isn’t that so cute?”
“So she likes that guy? And goes on dates with him?” Peter asked without taking his eyes off you. All he could think of was how some other guy was filling his space beside you on walks and taking you on dates that Peter never took you on.
“That’s what being in a situationship means, yes.” Gwen answered.
“But she just broke up with me- uh, Spiderman two months ago. She’s already moved on?” Peter asked sadly and looked back at the girls.
“Duh. Spiderman was so last semester.” Kate chuckled.
“And she’s happy with that guy?” Peter asked in a quiet voice.
“She’s over the moon.” Gwen insisted. “He’s all she talks about.”
Peters face crumbled when he heard this and he turned to look at you again. You were telling Sebastian something while he texted on his phone. You looked up when you felt eyes on you and made eye contact with Peter. He quickly looked away and felt tears come to his eyes. He blinked them back and pretended to fiddle with his shirt buttons. MJ noticed how upset he looked and as the only one present who knew why this upset him, she felt obligated to cheer him up.
“I think she’s just trying to cleanse her pallet of Spiderman. She doesn’t really like this guy. She just wants to start the process of moving on.” MJ said as she looked at Peter. Peter relaxed when he heard this and wiped his face.
“You’re sure?” He asked her.
“Trust me. She’s never getting over Spiderman. In fact-“
“Hey guys.” You said as you approached the group, accidentally cutting off MJ. She was about to tell Peter that you were very much still in love with him, but now he’d never know.
“Hey girl.” Kate smiled and wrapped an arm around you. You smiled at her and then looked at Peter, who looked like he had just seen a ghost.
“Hi Peter.” You smiled at him, making him look at you in surprise.
“Me hi?” He asked and pointed to himself.
“Yeah. Hey you.” You nudged him playfully, making him blush.
“Hi. You look really nice today.” He told you, reminding you both of old times.
“Thanks.” You smiled sadly and fixed your shirt.
“You do look nice.” Kate noticed. “All dolled up for your man?”
“Yeah, like I’d dress for a man.” You snorted. “In fact, lately I’ve been dressing for revenge.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” MJ chuckled. You laughed as well and then noticed the pained look on Peters face.
“He’s not actually my man.” You told him, though you weren’t really sure why you said it.
“I know. They were just filling me in on your situationship.” He said with a tight smile. Your smile dropped and you gave your friends a look.
“Guys. You told Peter?” You whispered in annoyance.
“Why would Peter care? Just because he had that crush on you two months ago?” Kate asked. You and Peter exchanged a look and quickly looked away from each other.
“Yeah. I don’t mind hearing about it. We’re friends now and friends talk about these things.” Peter shrugged but you both knew he was lying. The bell then rang and Kate and Gwen groaned.
“I gotta go.” Kate said and squeezed your arm before walking away.
“Same. See you later.” Gwen waved and headed towards her next class. MJ gave you a knowing look before leaving as well. She didn’t have a class now, but she wanted you to talk to Peter alone. Once it was just the two of you, you stepped in front of Peter so you could face each other.
“Look, I’m sorry you had to find out this way.”
“It’s okay. We broke up. You can date whoever you want.” He said with a tight smile.
“I’m not really dating him. I’m not even sure I like him. He takes five hours to text back and we’ve only hung out twice. I kinda played it up to my friends so they don’t think I’m pathetic for still being totally in love with….” You trailed off when you realized how much information you were spilling. Peters eyebrows went up and all the hope in the world filled his eyes.
“Sorry. This whole conversation was way too much exposition.” You laughed awkwardly.
“A little bit, yeah.” He laughed as well and desperately hoped you’d finish that sentence.
“All I wanted to say is, I’m not moving on. It’s important to me that you know that.”
“Why?” Peter wondered. “Why do you want me to know that?”
“Because I don’t want you to move on, okay?” You admitted without looking at him.
“You don’t?” Peter asked as a smile broke through on his lips. You were about to say more when the second bell rang, meaning you were already late.
“I gotta go. I’ll talk to you later?” You asked genuinely. Peter nodded and felt his heart piece itself back together. He went to his next class with a huge smile on his face and for the first time in months, allowed himself to be hopeful about getting back together.
A few days later, you were on your third date with Sebastian. He invited you to watch his lacrosse game and met up with him afterwards. As he approached you, his entire team followed him and clapped him on the shoulders while hyping him up. He pulled you into a hug that you didn’t want because he was sweaty and people were watching.
“Oh, hi.” You laughed awkwardly and stepped out of the hug.
“So you liked watching me play?” He asked you like he already knew the answer was yes.
“Yeah! Yeah, it was so….fun.” You kept your smile as you struggled to think of an acceptable adjective. You didn’t actually enjoy watching a bunch of sweaty guys jump on top of each other, but you wanted to be polite.
“Cool, cool. So while my boys are all with me, I wanted to ask you something.” Sebastian said while running his fingers through his hair. His hair wasn’t actually in his eyes, but he liked to do that when he wanted it look cool. His teammates started barking and clapping him on the back again, which made you step back uncomfortably.
“What did you want to ask me?”
“I want to make this official.” He said and rubbed his hands together. His teammates started barking again and shouting some crude remarks while you smiled nervously.
“Make what official?”
“Us, dummy. You and me. Aha.” He laughed and gestured between the two of you. Every single one of his teammates was staring at you and expecting you to say yes. You gulped and forced a laugh to ease the tension.
“Are you saying you want to be my boyfriend?”
“Yeah. I do. Lucky you.” He said with a suave smile. You folded your lips in and looked to the side to see if anyone was hearing this.
“But, uh, don’t you think it’s a little soon?” You laughed nervously.
“No. I think it’s the exact right time. Right, boys?” Sebastian turned to ask his team and they all hyped him up.
“But you barely even know me.” You pointed out. “We’ve only been on two dates. And one of them was a movie so we didn’t really talk.”
“I know you. And that’s why I want to give you this.” He said and stepped forward. He cupped your face and pulled you into the most lifeless, stiff kiss of your life. You kept your eyes open and didn’t move a muscle until he pulled away.
“It was horrible, MJ. Horrible. It felt like kissing a concrete wall. Only colder and a lot less fun. No passion whatsoever. I gotta get out of this.” You told MJ once you were back in your room that night. You were both sitting on your bed and you were hugging a pillow for comfort after being traumatized by the worst kiss of your life.
“Is he at least nice?” MJ asked you.
“I don’t know. I guess so. He doesn’t excite me though. Not the way…” You trailed off and looked to the side.
“Peter did?” She finished your sentence.
“It’s just, I would get all these butterflies when Peter texted me. I was checking my phone all day to see if he sent anything. I’d hear love songs on the radio and think of him and I. He made me laugh, he asked me questions, and took his time getting to know me. But with Sebastian, I feel like we’re just in an endless cycle of “hey, what’s up?” , “not much, you?”, “Yeah not much”. And then five hours later, we’re having that same conversation all over again. I don’t know if he has siblings. I don’t know what he likes to do for fun. I his favorite songs. I couldn’t even tell you what color his eyes are even though I’ve see him three days a week in class. Because you know what? I don’t care. He’s not Peter.”
“And you want Peter.” MJ said as more of a statement than a question.
“I do.” You admitted. “Ugh. Am I totally lame and pathetic for wanting someone who lied to me?”
“No. You are totally lame for those socks though.” MJ said and looked down at the Spiderman socks you had on.
“I bought them from a guy on the street.” You mumbled as you moved to sit on your feet.
“I could tell.” MJ mumbled back.
“It’s been two months. I’m done torturing Peter.” You decided. “I’m gonna end things with Sebastian and tell Peter I still love him.”
“Tonight? Please say yes. My wifi is buffering and I’m so bored.” MJ whined and shook your arm.
“Tomorrow.” You told him. “I don’t want to ruin Sebastians night.”
“Fine.” MJ huffed. “But you better tell him tomorrow. He almost died when Gwen and Kate told him about Sebastian. I thought he was gonna throw up.”
“I’ll tell him, okay?” You promised her.
“Good.” She nodded in satisfaction. “Get your boyfriend back.”
“You know what?” You smiled. “I will.”
The next day, you didn’t have any classes with Peter so you had to wait until lunch to see him. You unblocked his number and texted him that you had to talk to him about something but that it had to be in person. Peter was ecstatic to see that text and couldn’t wait until lunchtime when he got to see you. You were already sitting at the lunch table when he got there, making his heart pound. He quickly fixed his hair and shirt before approaching the table.
“Hey, Y/n.” He smiled at you as he sat across from you.
“Hey, Peter. Do you think we could-“
“Hey, little lady.” Sebastian cut you off as he slung his arm around you. Your smile fell almost as quickly as Peters did with Sebastian’s unexpected presence.
“Sebastian. What are you doing here?” You laughed nervously and took his arm off of you. Peter gulped and balled his hand into a fist as he tried to stay calm at the sight of some other guy with his arm around you.
“What? I can’t sit with my girlfriend and her friends at lunch?” Sebastian asked you as he put his arm back around you. Everyone froze and exchanged a look before looking at you and Sebastian.
“His what?” Kate asked and raised an eyebrow.
“His what?” Peter asked as his face crumbled.
“Uhhhh…” You forced another laugh and took his arm off of you. You had never actually agreed to being Sebastian’s girlfriend after the kiss incident. You had just excused yourself and ran back to your dorm as fast as you could.
“Y/n didn’t tell you? We’re official. I’m not like other guys. Labels don’t scare me. I’m crazy about this woman and I don’t care who knows it.” Sebastian said with a smug smile. You turned your face and gagged a little at every single word choice he made while Kate and Gwen tried not to laugh.
“Do you even know her last name?” MJ asked him. You felt grateful she had come to the rescue because you yourself had no idea what to say.
“Doesn’t matter. Because one day, it’ll be the same as mine.” Sebastian smirked before leaning in to kiss you. You quickly turned your face so the kiss landed on your cheek instead. You made eye contact with Peter when you turned your face and he looked like he was near tears.
“Wow.” MJ mouthed and looked at the girls to signal that they needed to help you.
“Sebastian, I’ve never seen where the lacrosse players practice. Would you mind showing me?” Kate asked when she picked up on MJs hint.
“You know what? Neither have I. I would love to see it.” Gwen agreed and stood up.
“Oh, sure. I could take you.” Sebastian agreed. “Let’s go, Y/n.”
“Actually, I’m gonna stay here with Peter.” You told him.
“No, you should go with him.” Peter said and stood up as well.
“I don’t want to go with him. I wanted to talk to you.” You kept your eyes solely on Peter as you got up from the table.
“It’s okay. You should go with your boyfriend.” Peter said as his eyes brimmed with tears. You stared him in the eyes for a long time before he wiped his face and ran out of the lunchroom. You let out a sigh as you watched him disappear but decided that you were done playing games. You turned to Sebastian to tell him the truth.
“Sebastian, I didn’t like how you asked me to be your girlfriend in front of all your teammates. It made me feel like I had no choice but to say yes. And honestly, I didn’t want to say yes. I don’t know you well enough. And right now, I don’t see a future between us. I’m sorry for wasting your time.” You said simply before running out of the lunchroom after Peter.
“I don’t really give a fuck where the lacrosse team practices.” MJ admitted as she sat back down at the table. The other girls were silent for a minute before nodding in agreement and sitting down as well.
“Peter, wait.” You called after him as you chased him down the hallway. Peter kept walking but you eventually caught up to him and grabbed him by the shoulders. He was crying and looking down while wiping his runny nose on his sleeve.
“Peter, please talk to me. I need to explain.” You said as you pulled your sleeve over your hand to wipe his tears.
“You said you weren’t moving on. You said you didn’t want me to move on. When you asked me to talk today, I thought…” Peter trailed off when he felt too embarrassed to admit he thought you wanted to get back together.
“You thought what?”
“I thought you were ready to forgive me. And not just as pretend for our friends. You’ve been so nice to me lately and I felt like we were getting back to the way we used to be. But I’m such an idiot. I actually thought there was gonna be another chance for us.” He laughed sadly at Hoe dumb he felt for thinking that.
“Peter-“
“It’s okay. You don’t have to say anything. I blew it with you and I know that. I don’t know why I was stupid enough to let myself think you wanted to get back together. You obviously don’t and moved on and I don’t have any right to be upset about that since it’s my fault for fucking things up between us. I should’ve just told you who I was right away. We could’ve been happy and in love if I had. I’m sorry I ruined everything between us. I’m sorry I lied to you. And I’m sorry for being a baby about it now. I know I shouldn’t be upset. I just can’t believe you have a boyfriend and it isn’t me.” Peter said and broke into tears again. He tried to walk away but you pulled him into a hug and let him cry for minute.
“Peter?” You said and pulled away a little.
“What?” He sniffled.
“I don’t have a boyfriend. I never did. He asked me to be his girlfriend last night and I never gave him an answer. But it doesn’t matter now because I just ended things with him. I never moved on. And I was never gonna date that guy. I had no idea he was gonna sit with us at lunch and do that whole thing. I really wanted to talk to you, not rub some guy in your face. I never meant for that to happen. I would never purposefully try to make you upset. Please, believe me.”
“I believe you.” Peter nodded as he stared into your eyes. You stared back into his and smiled a little at how easily he accepted that you were telling the truth. He knew you, more than anyone else could say.
“Can we talk? About everything?” You laughed at how fucked up it all was now.
“I would like that.” Peter smiled softly.
“Maybe tonight? We could go for a walk like old times.” You offered as you took a pack of tissues out of your bag. Peters smile grew as he took the tissues.
“That would mean a lot to me. I can pick you up outside your dorm at 6.”
“Perfect. I’ll see you then.” You squeezed his arm and walked away.
That night, Peter was outside your dorm but 5:45. He had showered, dosed himself in aftershave, and put on his least wrinkled shirt. He checked the time every minute or so in anticipation of your arrival. His nervous hands fiddled with his shirt, his hair, his watch, and anything else he could play with as he waited for you. 6:02 came and there was no sight of you. Peter grew hopeful every time someone came out of your dorm but it was never you.
6:11 came and went and you still hadn’t shown up. Peter sent you a few texts to make sure everything was all right but hadn’t gotten a response.
By 6:34, he assumed you had forgotten about your agreement to meet up but also wondered if he had gotten the day wrong. Maybe you hadn’t actually said tonight and said “tomorrow” instead.
At 7:06, Peter called it a night. He stood up from the stair he was sitting on and walked back to his apartment in tears. He didn’t care about the people staring at him because he was too heartbroken over you standing him up. He cursed himself for not realizing it was too good to be true. He wished he never let himself believe that he could get a second chance with you and just accepted that things were over for good. If he had, he would’ve saved himself grieving this relationship a second time.
Peter plopped his bag down at the library table the next day and immediately put his head down. He was anxious to see you and hear what you had to say about why you stood him up. Ned came to the table first, followed by Kate, MJ and Gwen.
“Hey, dude. How did things go with Y/n last night?” Ned asked and excitedly shook Peters arm. Peter sat up a little and rested his chin on his hand.
“I don’t know. She never showed up.” He said quietly. MJ immediately perked up when she heard this and looked at Peter.
“Oh, I’m sorry man.” Ned frowned. “That really sucks. I thought things were starting to change between you.”
“So did I. But I guess not.” Peter sighed and put his head back down.
“She never showed up?” MJ asked and lifted Peters head up by grabbing his hair.
“Ow.” He said and pulled away. “No, she didn’t. Did she tell you why she changed her mind?”
“She didn’t change her mind. She went downstairs to wait for you at like 5:30 because she was so exited. It was all she talked about all day. She even put on the perfume she was wearing the day you guys “met”. What do you mean she never showed up?” MJ whispered to him. Peters eyes went wide and he looked at Ned to see if he was hearing this too.
“I waited outside the dorm for an hour. She was never there.” Peter told her.
“Well what time did you arrive?” MJ asked.
“5:45. We agreed to meet at 6.” Peter told her. MJ’s face twisted in panic, making Peters do the same.
“MJ, what are you not saying?” Ned asked. Peter got a sick feeling in his stomach as he turned to MJ for answers.
“Y/n never come home last night. I assumed it was because she was fornicating with you.” MJ said, making Peters stomach drop.
“Gross. Fornicating?” Ned grimaced.
“She never came home?” Peter asked slowly. The energy at the table was filled with collective dread as everyone tried to think of the last time they spoke to you.
“If she wasn’t with you and she wasn’t with me, where the hell is she?” MJ asked angrily. Peter shrugged helplessly as Ned turned to Kate and Gwen.
“Is everything okay, guys?” Kate asked when she noticed the three of them looking like they had just seen a ghost.
“Have you guys seen Y/n today?” Ned asked them.
“No. She wasn’t in our first class together. I was just gonna ask you if she was sick?” Kate asked MJ.
“She’s not sick. She left our room last night and was supposed to meet Peter outside but he says she never showed up.“
“And she never came home?” Kate asked while Gwen covered her mouth in fear. MJ shook her head, making everyone fall silent. No one knew what to do next until Gwen spoke.
“Call her. Everyone call and text her.” Gwen said to break the silence. Everyone whipped their phones out to text and call you but no one was able to reach you.
“No answer.” Gwen sighed after the fifth missed call.
“Me either.” Kate shook her head. “My texts aren’t being delivered.”
Everyone was quiet as the gravity of the situation became more apparent. Peter felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, something that only happened to him when danger was near.
“Guys.” Peter began. “I think something really bad happened to her. And I think it’s because of me.”

love love loveeee all the snape x sibling fics.
Would it be okay to ask for more? Like overprotective Snape spying on reader's date who may or may not be Lucius orrrr Reader having had enough of the Marauders pranks on Sevy and confronts them only to be their next target and Snape be like " You can torment me all you like, but leave my sister/brother/sibling out of it." And starts fighting back since the Marauders thought it would be funny to torment his sibling
I genuinely love both ideas 😔 ugh I hate to pick But I’ll take the second idea
Cross the line
It was only the start of the term and your brother is already in the hospital wing dealing with potion burns on his arms.
And of course those idiots who call themselves the marauders got away with it because obviously accidents happen in potions.
"Accidents my ass, you’re the top of your year this is getting ridiculous and annoying"
Severus sighed while laying in the hospital bed "let it go, it’s my battle to fight not yours" you stayed silent but that didn’t mean you wouldn’t do anything to defend him.
After the nurse asked you leave for class you marched straight towards the great hall, those four always were late so you were bound to find them there.
Loud and behold you were right, James potter and his gang were laughing about something on the gryffindor table with a couple of older students.
You stomped up to the table and pointed your finger at James, he stopped laughing then quirked an eyebrow at you, it was unlike you to come directly to them and settled for just glaring at the bunch whenever you saw them.
"Don’t you have a fucking life?! Tormenting an innocent person just because they have different views than yours!"
Sirius snorted but patted James on the back, Remus looked like he wanted to leave and peter just looked at James waiting for him to do something.
James smirked "he’s such a coward that he’s sending his sibling to fight instead of him" he stood up "or what? Do you feel left out? Well don’t upset your little head because starting now it will a sibling bond to get you both hexed"
"James!" Remus screamed but was late to stop James from sending a hex your way, you were just lucky you were fast.
Severus was held in the hospital for a day and half, it concerned him that you didn’t visit him again after that one time but he didn’t want to give himself a headache, you obviously had friends and classes to follow, but the blow in the face was when lily came to him, lily who had stopped talking to him completely because of what he called her earlier that year.
"Lily I-"
"No. I’m here to tell you that things are getting out of hand with your sibling and I can’t do much to stop it." Severus grabbed his robe immediately and ran throw the halls, black hair flying in the hair and fists clenched. He’s never been more angry in his miserable life.
He found you and them near the kitchen, it was Sirius and James, the two who liked attacking without reason. His saw red when he noticed your cheeks has been slashed and your clothes were drench in something he could only make to be tomato juice.
"Potter" severus growled.
"Look who fin-" James’s hands flew to his mouth, his lips sewed together and closed, his panicked eyes looked up at severus who was just starting, he threw a disarming spell at Sirius before he could do anything then throw a sitting charm on him making him stuck to the wall behind him.
James was rubbish with wordless wand work and fighting him would be like going against a first year.
You gapped your wand from the ground and stood up, mouth wide open in disbelief, severus was fair, he didn’t attack a disarmed person but it was clear he was beyond that now.
They had crossed the line.
"Snivellus you bloody gi-NOO STOP IT YOU SNAKE!" Sirius screamed, the tips of his hair tips were burning like paper before his eyes.
James pointed his wand at severus sending a weak wordless charm to make the floor slippery, it was childish and severus wasn’t in any mood to deal with this level of immature.
Severus blocked it then hexed James’s legs to stick together making him fall down.
The black wand pressed it’s tip against James’s nose, severus sneered "you can torment my work, make fun of my clothes, hex me and try beating me up as much as you want but my sibling is a line you don’t cross, and if I see you remotely looking at my family funny I will make sure it would be both of our last day on this school. Do you understand?"
James narrowed his eyes, clearly not satisfied with the turn of events. Severus huffed then wordlessly stopped the burning charm on Sirius and muttered one last curse.
"Furnunculus" he hissed.
James didn’t understand what’s happening until his skin started to tingle and pimples spread around his skin like crazy.
Severus sighed, ignoring Sirius’s screams and curses at him. He went to you and smacked the back of your head.
"Ow!"
"You deserve it! I told you it was my fight and not yours, you never listen do you?!"
He scold you all the way to the hospital wing, briefly mentioning the two in the hall.
"Sev?"
"What?"
"Thank you."

Is it smut?
A/N: i think the title speaks for itself, but yeah, it was my first fic ever published on my first account @/cloudyfeel. Still couldnt get it back, so i'm investing all my energy on this one, hehe
TW: smut, I mean the title is a spoiler?… cockwarming, slight jealousy,(if you look very closely), a little bit of angst-Tom being a bit insecure
Enjoy,
Cloudy
Dont't be shy, comment, reblog, like!
english is not my first language. not beta read, all mistakes are my own.
Tumblr media
You were on the couch reading some fanfic on tumblr while Tom, your cute boyfriend, was watching some golf on TV. It was time like this, that you miss while he was away for filming or on press tour. You just enjoyed being with him and spend time with him even if both of you were doing different things.
“What are you reading?” Tom asked you genuinely curious. You looked at him before answering: “Some fanfiction”
“About who?” You thought of your answer.. you were not embarrassed to read fanfiction, Tom knew from the start of your relationship two years ago, that you read and write some of it. “Mmh… currently Bucky Barnes, it’s a really good one.” “Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes?” “Yeah, who else?” You asked in return.
Tom looked at you, a hint of jealousy coursing his veins. He didn’t know why… but he also knew that you found Sebastian Stan pretty looking. You could feel him tensed. You let a small sigh and you said:“ I also read one about Captain America, Harry Styles, Peter Parker…so you know about a lot of people, about a lot of different topics.”
“You read fanfic about me?” You laughed. “I said about Peter Parker.” He snorted. “Yeah, but I am Peter Parker.” “So he’s Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire… you’re not that special, babe” you teased him. “Excuse me young lady?” “I excuse you pretty boy.”
You continued your reading, but you could feel Tom’s glaze on you. You stopped looking at your phone after a few minutes and you meet eyes with Tom. “Ok, I confess… I read fanfic about you.” “Like me, me? ” “Yeah and your characters. But mostly Peter Parker, Arvin Russell and you as yourself or in alternative universe.” He blushed. You raised an eyebrow at his reaction. “Why are you blushing ?” “Is it smut?”
You scoffed, “sometimes” you mumbled. Now you were a bit embarrassed… ok you read smut about those fictional characters… but to admit it out loud to your boyfriend, who played those characters… you felt shy suddenly. “But I’m right here, darling” “ I’m not reading smut about you or your characters when you here…” “Oh…but your reading bucky barney’s fiction…with smut?”
It was your time to blush. Yup, you were reading a smut fiction about a marvel character while your boyfriend was watching innocently some golf. “Maybe?” “Y/N!” “Sorry, Tom, ok? I just found it and the summary was catchy and I started reading it…. and this author is very good at smut. I am horny and reading this kind of fiction is nice when I am in this state, you know.” “But I am here!” Shouted Tom. “Tom, sweety, I am mentally horny… not physically horny right now” You both laugh. “Damn, you’re weird… I love you Y/N/N”. “Love you too dork, but I know that you’re jealous of my Bucky Barnes fanfic.” The day went by and when you were both getting ready to go to bed Tom asked you.
“Could I read some?” You looked at him with wide eyes. “ I mean, I am curious to see some of the works you liked. About my characters, me or other.” “To be clear, I read about you or you characters, when I missed you and you’re not here, ok? Because clearly, when we’re together I don’t need it… I mean all my fantasies come true while we’re together.”
“No need to justify, baby. You told me when we started dating that you like reading and writing some fanfic. But I really am curious and to read some you liked… I don’t know I feel like I can connect with even more, when we’re not together.” You pout, he was the cutest…and you couldn’t handle it or even said no to him. “Tom… stop being this adorable… give me your phone I’ll connect you to my tumblr.”
He smiled at you and handed you his phone. He was happy to asked you this because he was going away for a few days with his brothers and you couldn’t come. “Keep in mind that some of them are… maybe a bit extreme and I don’t put them on the list of the thing I want to try with you during sex, alright?” He nodded and opened his arms for you to come cuddle him. ~~~~~~ You were at your desk working on something when your phone start buzzing. Tom was calling you. “Hey Tommy!” “Hey, Y/N” “ we said that we were calling each other later or am I wrong?” There was a silent and you could hear tom heavy breathing. “ you ok?” “I’m reading some of the fanfic that you saved.” Your heart started beating a little faster. “Oh, the extreme ones?” “ i don’t know what you mean about extreme… but I- i am a little concern about my size.” “Your size?” “ yeah, my penis… I-I mean sometimes the description of my shaft in these… I wonder if mine is… you know good enough…” You reprimanded your laugh. Tom was sometime insecure, but you were not ready for him to be insecure about his size…well no this one to be honest. “You’re stretching me just right, baby boy.” You said languidly. “ damn, you don’t know what’s coming for you when I am home.” He replied. “Well I sure hope to cum…” You both laughed and started to talk about everything and anything before you had to hang up and started working again. But you couldn’t wait for him to come home… now you were horny in the physical way. ~~~~ Two days later, Tom and his brothers were coming back from there little trip. You had planned a little lingerie set to welcome home your sweet, sexy and handsome boyfriend. You heard the door open and shut quite quickly before the voice of Tom came to you. “Y/N!” “In the bedroom!” You found the best way to lay down on the sheets. You were on your stomach with your legs bends and your chin between your hands. Tom literally stormed to the room. He stopped in his tracks and looked at you with wide eyes and he huffed.
“ jesus, why didn’t you warned me that those fanfic could made me that horny !” You laughed and sit on your knees. “ why don’t you cure your horny state with me ? I just read a fanfic with Peter Parker and it was… so… fucking hot. I need you Tom.”
Tom took his shirt and pants off. He crowled on the bed and stopped just an inche from you. He looked at you from head to toes and his eyes darkened with lust. “ I saw that you read one were we have a threesome with Hazz.” “ yeah, an extreme one…sorry about that. But if it makes it better, I don’t want to… just you and me.. nobody else.” He kissed you, with a certain passion that you only found when he came back from filming. His hands started running down your body, cupping your breast, your ass before he cupped your cheeks.“ You’re so beautiful, I can believe you’re mine.” You chuckled and put your hands on his neck and you scratched the base of his hair. He groaned in the kiss and put you closer to him. “ I want to try something.” He whispered. You hummed letting him now that you were listening. He kissed your cheeks, your lips, your neck before saying. “Cockwarming” you put your hands on his shoulders and you looked him in the eyes. “I was thinking of that this morning… I want to try it too. But not in my mouth though…” “ yeah, not in your mouth I wanna hold you tight.”
You stripped from you last bit of clothing and Tom sat against the headboard. You straddled him, he caressed your folds, you reached the drawer of the nightstand and got the lube. Tom smiled at you and took the bottle. He opened it and squeezed some in his hands, he worked him self up and continue to teasing your folds. When you felt both ready, he put a condom and you aligned yourself with him. You slipped gently and when your ass meet his thighs you both sigh in pleasure. “So now, we don’t move for awhile” Tom murmured. “Yeah, that’s the idea of cockwarming. How was the trip?”
He chuckled and tried to focus on his answer, but he felt too good to be in you after being so horny for the past few days of reading this smut. “It was nice, but not as nice as what I am feeling right now.” You laughed and in doing so you clenched a little bit. Tom hissed and you let a little moan out. “Fuck, that’s not what I thought, I would feel. Tom, don’t be insecure about your size, you’re really filling me up just right.”
He put his arms around your waist and kissed your beck tenderly. “Gosh I love you, Y/N/N”. You put your hands in his hairs and kissed his forehead, cheeks and then his lips. “I love you too, Tommy.”
You stayed silent, just enjoying the feeling to be this close and this connected. When your legs started to hitch, Tom took the initiative to turned you around. Without slipping out of you, he was on top. He took both of your legs and put them on his waist and he started thrust in you. You whimper quietly at the sudden movement. Your hands on his back, your nails digging in his flesh. He groaned and start thrusting harder and faster. You moaned louder and louder overwhelmed by the warming and now the way Tom entered you and hitting your g-spot. “Babe, I wont last long” panted Tom.
You kissed him passionately and your hands went on his ass to accentuate his movement. “Me neither, touch me please”. He reached for your clit and you arched your back. Tom searched your eyes, when you locked them together your breathing synchronized and you both camed at the same time. Your all body trembled and Tom collapsed on top of you. You caressed his head and shoulders while he kissed tenderly your neck and collarbone.
“Sweety, can you come out. Cockwarming is over” you chuckled. He sighed and lay down beside you. You cuddled on his chest and listened to his heartbeat. “Babe, do you want me to sub next time?” “If you up for it, why not.”
He hold you tighter and kissed your forehead. Maybe let him read your favourite fanfic was a good idea.

One shot of Peter Maximoff x fem reader and Peter gets injured from battle and instead of going to Hank he speeds right off to you (so you can bandage and clean him up). He’s got slashes all over his chest and face. Kinda looks like the scene with Gwen and Peter in The Amazing Spider-man but with Peter instead.
Cleaning Him Up
Tumblr media
Peter Maximoff x reader
Words: 598
Tumblr media
“You’ve witnessed it here live—“
Multiple knocks interrupted the broadcast you were invested in but you chose to ignore it knowing you weren’t expecting anyone anytime soon.
“Once again we have the X-men to thank—“
There were those knocks again interrupting your program. “Who in the hell is that?” You huffed out under your breath as you practically pushed yourself off from your couch as the knocking continued without letting up.
With your feet shuffling against the wooden floor you head to the door and after peeking out the window you swung the door wide open.
“Peter?”
There he stood with multiple cuts along his face and arms, with one defining gash across his chest. It was a rare sight being that he’s typically faster than most menacing threats.
“What happened?”
“Mutant. Invisible. Bad guy stopped,” he got out in between breaths. That was not a good sign. “Peter, you don’t look good.”
His eyes closed as a tiny smile tried to spread across his face, “I’m sorry, do you want me to come back at a different time, maybe when I look better?”
“No, here come in,” you held out a hand and he grabbed it a little too sloppy-like. At that you tossed his arm over your shoulder allowing him to at least alleviate some pressure before you walked him over to the couch.
His body hit the soft cushions and he let out a groan. “I’m thirsty,” he said and you hurried to the kitchen to grab him a bottle of water. After a few long sips, his breathing seemed to return to normal and you two could actually have a conversation. But that’s not what you cared about at the moment.
In the kitchen you went to get some wet paper towels or a wet rag, anything really that you could find to clean some of the bigger gashes.
You didn’t know exactly what you were doing having barely been through anything like this, but you figured you’d fake it till you make it.
Once returning you tried to clean the big gash first, at least a little bit.
“Hey we won!” He said, his smile crinkles now reaching his eyes.
“Yeah I saw you were on the news! I’m just surprised to see you here right now. Doesn’t Hank usually help with these types of things?” You asked and he observed as your eyes seemed to be glued to his cut while the eyebrow crease in your forehead deepened.
That’s when he seemed to make a revelation, “coming here was a bad idea.”
You let out a chuckle, “sort of. I mean I’m no medic, the worst I deal with is paper cuts.”
Peter lets out a genuine chuckle of his own, “I know I’m sorry. I don’t know what happened. I got cut up and tossed around and my first instinct was to run and then I just ran until I stopped here. Is that bad?”
The edges of your lips curved, you couldn’t be mad at him, you were the first person he thought of. “A little considering that like I said, I don’t know what I’m doing…”
Which was the truth but to be honest google was helping you massively and it was a good thing that you actually had the necessary band aids and bandages. “But it’s also flattering,” you leaned down and pecked his lips, which he kept outstretched when you leaned back up causing you to laugh.
“Now, I’ll clean you up some more but then I’m calling Hank so he can really get you all fixed up.”

Can I request "I can't stop thinking about you" or "last night was incredible" for Peter? Your Peter content always makes my morning/afternoon/evening/night.

I love my short king <3
things that you want to hear.

This is the fifth time this week you’ve been back to the circus.
You can’t help yourself, because you feel like you’ve begun to fall for one of the trapeze artists. He occupies your every other thought even when there are other things you should be thinking about.
He’s the most fascinating person you’ve come across since you can’t remember when. This short man with youthful features, who is undoubtedly an adult. You’ve never seen a child carry themself the way he does. He’s got short blonde hair, slate-blue eyes, and something about him has just made you weak.
The rest of the troupe must know about your infatuation. Several of them have made comments about seeing you, particularly the ringleader who seems to wonder what in the world their show has to offer ‘someone like you’. (One of the nobility, you’re sure he means. It stuns people when one of London’s aristocracy is overly and genuinely interested in affairs like this commoners’ circus.)
A woman of the same stature as the object of your affections introduced herself and the man, who’s apparently her brother… except you haven’t actually spoken to him yet. She just gave you their names before suggesting, several times, that you might want to talk to him.
Today, at least, you’re trying. You’ve come closer than before, lingering by where he’s perched atop a crate, eating half an apple. It looks like his eyes are unfocused, drifting off wherever, and suddenly ― as if sensing that you’re watching him ― he snaps his gaze over to you.
His eyes are withering. You’re not sure what he’s thinking, unless he’s hoping his eyes turn to daggers and strike you dead. At last, he scoffs. “The ‘ell are y’ gawkin’ at? I ain’t some freak show. Ain’t y’ been ‘ere enough times that a li’l man don’t shock y’ no more?”
… Oh, dear. He’s noticed that you’ve been to the circus a lot. Not just a lot, every night this week that they’ve put on a show. And two afternoons.
You suppose, in hindsight, that you could have been a bit more subtle. Are you staring at him?? Maybe. But not for the reason he thinks.
“I’m… I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to gawk. And you’re not shocking, for the record.” You shift around before taking a step closer. “It’s… PETER, right? I’m (Name).”
“Oh, that right? (Name)?” He spits a couple of apple seeds into the grass. “I don’t care. Y’ been talkin’ t’ Wendy, ‘ave y’? Wot’re y’ lingerin’ round ‘ere f’r? Y’ keep comin’ t’ shows. Even people wot like our acts ain’t that faithful. Wot’s y’r problem?”
Part of you wonders if you should just come out and say it. That’s like tearing a bandage off a painful wound, right? Get it over with? At least if you do that, he can’t accuse you of beating around the bush.
So you take a deep breath. “I… I can’t stop thinking about you. That’s my problem. I… well… not ― not that I’d call it a problem, per se, but…” That’s what he’s asking, isn’t it? Why you keep coming to shows? You might as well be honest.
Of course, that does get his attention. He clearly wasn’t expecting that response, and perks up with eyes wide toward you. After a moment of surprise, his expression turns angry. Or, at least, incredibly irritated. “Oi, ‘avin’ a go at me? Ain’t funny. Wendy put y’ up t’ playin’ some joke on me, ‘uh?”
“W… what??” He thinks you telling him that you’re attracted to him is his sister playing a trick on him? You’re almost insulted that he thinks you’d let yourself be used like that. “No, she has nothing to do with… well, perhaps, she kept encouraging me to talk to you, but… but I think that’s only because she knew I had feelings for you.”
He rolls his eyes, and takes another bite from his apple half. More seeds find their way into the grass. He’s so… crude. “Y’ don’t fuckin’ know me, ‘ow can y’ ‘ave feelin’s f’r me? Go find a wood t’ get lost in.”
You frown, then step closer. “I’m being honest with you. It’s not something I can explain, but… I find you very handsome, and I… I came over today to finally ask if you’d like to go with me.”
“Go with y’? Go where with y’?”
“I mean… out? I don’t know where exactly… dinner, or a play, or dancing, or just a stroll…” You shrug. “We can do whatever you’d like.”
This time when he spits out another couple of seeds, he sputters, sounding almost like he’s choking. To wit, after spitting them out, he coughs a few times. “Wot, like a… wot d’they call it… courtin’ me?! Pfff… didn’t know Wendy would ask y’ t’ go this far. ‘M almost sorry f’r y’.”
Alright, you’re starting to get a little disheartened. “If you don’t want to go with me, you can just say so. I’ve got feelings; you could let me down gently.”
“The devil y’ goin’ on about?” With the final bite of his apple taken, he tosses the core down onto the ground and looks back at you. Then, he blinks a few times. “… Ah, fuck. Tell me this is a joke.”
“It’s not,” you mumble, rubbing self-consciously at your arm. “I don’t know why you assumed that, but it’s not. Genuinely, I can’t get you out of my head, and I’d like to get to know you better. Wendy was only talking to me because she noticed I was paying attention to you.”
He raises his hands, spread out as if to stop you from talking. “Wait, wait. So, y’re tellin’ me… y’ actually wanna be seen out in public with me?”
“That’s… strangely specific. But, yes, that’s what courting you would mean. Unless you wouldn’t be comfortable with that.” You shrug. “You’re allowed to say no to me, but I do like you. Sincerely. No tricks. I find you handsome and interesting.”
Peter squints at you, head tilted, like he’s searching for any little sign of a lie. After a long moment, he blows a breath out his nose, and pushes himself off the crate he’s been sitting on. It’s almost like he thinks if he reminds you how much shorter he is than you, you’ll reconsider. “Alright, (Name). Come back after t’morrow night’s show, ‘n’ we’ll take a walk ‘r somethin’.”
With that, he turns to walk off. “Don’t worry, y’ll ‘ave enough’a me after that!”
Somehow, you don’t think you will. Just this short interaction has left you wanting more.
How much more, you wonder, will you want after spending an evening with him?
