OKAY!!!

... it took me a hot minute to get everything together, but the giveaway prize boxes are FINALLY done, I packed them up tonight and am gonna go drop them off at the post office tomorrow!

This blog has been running for about 10-11 years now, and not only have I improved my writing in that time, I’ve also grown as a person. Even though I’m rarely consistently active here (I leave for months and then resurface for a few months, etc. etc.), all of you guys, my incredible followers, have continued to show me overwhelming support. hello, guys. I don't think I'm quite ready to be back here yet (my head is stuck in other fandoms) but I like to keep you guys informed about big things in my life.

as well, I'd like to ask for you to keep my family and I in your thoughts and prayers.

we lost my grandmother on Saturday evening, to complications from Alzheimer's, and the funeral is today.

she was stable but slowly going downhill for the past couple of years, but she started declining rapidly starting last Tuesday, not eating or drinking, and shortly after 4 PM on Saturday, she stopped breathing. she passed while my mom and her brothers had stepped out to have lunch since they'd been there all day. I think she was waiting for all her kids to be there in the same room, then waited until they left because she didn't want them to see her go.

she was my last living grandparent, she was the last of her own siblings who was still alive, and I know she fought hard, but we all told her that it was okay to go. some of my memories are tainted because of having to take the emotional burden of her early, aggressive stages of her disease on mine and my mom's shoulders, but I still love my grandma very much, before she got sick she was my second mother, and I know her spirit has returned to the person she truly is. I'll miss being able to see her and hug her, but she will always be with us.

thank you guys so much for always being here for me, it helps to share my pain and release my feelings knowing that I can trust you all to offer comfort.

please take care of yourselves. and if there is someone you love, make sure to tell them as often as possible. I promise you, those are the three words you can never wear out or overuse.

Y'know as I get older I've slipped out of the black butler fandom but I have such fond memories of ur blog I get super excited when I see a notification from u

honestly, I slipped out of the fandom for a couple years myself, back when I was like 19-20 and in a bad mental spot with regard to this fandom (all fandoms have a little toxicity in them, but Kuroshitsuji fandom and Steven Universe fandom are the only ones to date that have ever made me cry regularly and made me question my worth as a person, people are SO nasty)

so I get it! but also when I came back, it was the support from sweet people like you that helped me heal a little bit and made me realize that I still loved these characters and still wanted to be here

I'm such a better writer now than I was when I was 18-19, but it makes me so happy that you have fond memories of my earlier writing as well, and I'm glad you're still here on this crazy ride with me!!!
