And they were… in trouble
Tumblr media
A/n: To get the full experience of this chapter it’s probably best to read part 3 before reading this 😊
Part 3: And they were…lovers. Wait really??
Part 2: And they were…strangers
Part 1: And they were…roommates
Summary: the arguments continue, will they ever solve them? Probably not because they can’t communicate even with Lokis dream
Words: 2K +
Warnings: 18+ Minors DNI angst and sadness, no real reconciliation in this chapter, blood mentions
When Wanda left the house she saw you standing outside the car looking at the ground
“I don’t want to go home yet” Wanda said refusing to get into the car “please Wanda I don’t want to argue let’s just get you home” you got into the car waiting for Wanda but when she just stood there with her arms crossed you rolled your eyes and got back out of the car
“Why are you doing this?”
“You still want me” she said and you rolled your eyes “of course I still want you I mean look at you, even with no sleep, probably a little hungover and the same outfit on as yesterday, I would push you against the wall and bury my head between your thighs and devour you until you tried pushing me away
Wanda gasped “do it then, right now up against the wall between these houses” you approached her holding her waist tight and went to kiss her but pulled away at the last minute “no, now get in the fucking car Wanda, you need to sleep for your classes tomorrow”
Wanda was the one to push you away now “forget it, I’m not getting into the car with you if you’re going to act like this!”
She walked off into the direction she thought was correct, she actually didn’t care she just wanted to leave and you didn’t chase after her, you let your eyes close thinking about everything, fuck-
Loki pushed you to the ground suddenly and you jumped back up throwing him a small dagger hitting him in the neck “what’s your fucking problem?!”
The man discarded the dagger crushing it and throwing it to the ground “I know you saw my dream for you, you saw the exact same thing as Wanda and when she woke up she was thankful, you’re just being an asshole about it!”
“Maybe I don’t appreciate you interrupting my sleep for a stupid teenage fantasy”
Loki scoffed “you loved the dream, I saw you smiling and giggling through certain parts, why are you being so stubborn?”
You eyes darkened to their red colour and you glared at the man “maybe I’ve just realised that being here on earth living with a human in a shitty apartment isn’t what I wanted to do in my death”
Loki laughed pushing you to the ground again “don’t make me laugh, that sappy talk you had with Wanda last night ‘oh I’ve loved you ever since I saw you and when I told you I was a demon and you didn’t run away’ makes me sick, get a fucking grip Y/n either date her and be a happy little demon housewife or finally leave her alone for good”
You were pissed off, who was he to tell you how to live your death and how to be with Wanda, she wasn’t any of his business “go fuck yourself! And don’t you dare mention Wanda again!” You stood up and stormed off into the forest away from Loki
“You need to make up your damn mind!” He shouted to you not that you were paying attention
*************************************************
You were deep enough in the forest now knowing no one would be around or if they were they wouldn’t be for long. Letting yourself kneel to the ground and close your eyes you felt it, the snapping of your spine and feeling the wings emerge from your back, blood running down your back, the feeling of your wings stretching and finally being free after so long
You stood up enjoying the feeling of your wings being free and you let out a happy sigh “oh I’ve missed this” your head throbbed and tore open revealing your spiralling horns
“I’ve missed being a real demon” your mind fogged and you felt all the pain and sadness disappear from your body and you’d never felt more alive, you needed to find someone, you needed to find Valkyrie and have the fun that you deserve.
************************************************
“Y/n?” Lucifer eyed you nervously as you entered the club in your demon form, knowing it hadn’t happened in a while “are you feeling some big feelings? Do we need to have a grown up talk and work out some anger?”
You laughed pushing through the devil and going to the other woman at the bar “hi Val”
“Y/n, you’re looking good” she pulled you into her lap “where’s Carol?” You didn’t really care but you thought it would be pleasant to ask “she’s in hell for a few months so I’m all lonely up here, just waiting for a winged demon with a dark desire in her eyes to take care of me”
You laughed “well here I am, come on I want to go hunting before I devour you, nice and blooded for me” your mouths met in a hot kiss and you groaned finally being kissed properly by a demon and not those plain humans you’ve been kissing but your good time was soon interrupted
“As erotic and as sexual as this is what the fuck is going on?”
You turned your head towards the king of hell “I missed being a demon, now are you coming hunting or are you just being a boring bastard?”
He fake gasped “how dare you of course I want to come hunting, nice to have my favourite demon back”
*********************************************
Wanda had managed to make it home but she didn’t want to go into the house, Natasha had left a note on the door telling her that she’d cleaned up as best she could and ordered her some hangover pizza.
So she lay on the grass outside the house looking up at the sky letting out a really heavy sigh, filled with so much emotion “maybe I should leave her alone, I’ll give her space”
You were interrupted by a rustling in the trees, a figure appearing, was it an animal? Wanda tried making it out and when she did her eyes widened
“What the-Y/n?!”
Wanda jumped back away from you and looked over your monstrous form, the horns, the wings and the blood dripping like rain droplets from your body, she’d never seen you like this
“Oh what a lovely lady you are, Y/n was right you look delicious” Wanda didn’t have time to react before the woman pinned her back down onto her back and looked at you.
“Go on Y/n I’ve got her pinned down she’s not going anywhere, take a drink like you’ve always wanted” Valkyrie had Wanda’s hands held together and even though Wanda was kicking with her legs all you had to do was straddle her to keep her still, so you did, leaning all your weight on her and smiling as some blood dripped onto her body
“Y-Y/n p-please, please don’t hurt me” she tried searching your eyes for any hesitation or remorse but there was nothing, just an empty sea of darkness
“You’ve hurt me so why shouldn’t I hurt you?” The deep gravely voice scared Wanda, yes you were a demon and yes she’d seen you angry but this was a whole new approach that scared her
“I’m sorry for hurting you Y/n please I do want to be with you! Please let’s just figure things out-
“Stop!” Your had enough, you’d had enough of everything she was saying and doing and you were going to take what you deserved
Leaning down to her face your hand gripped her chin pushing her face to side exposing her gorgeous neck, running your fangs over her pulse point made you vibrate, it was so exciting, so you sunk your fangs into her neck her blood filling your mouth and senses and fuck was it wonderful! She was delicious, she’d stopped thrashing and Valkyrie had let go of her hands coming next to you kissing your neck
“vos vultus calidum amica”
When you finally released the grip you had on Wanda you lifted your head and saw Wanda’s face, her pale weak face, oh god what had you done, the fog covering your mind clearing at the worse possible moment
You glared down at what you’d just done, you’d bitten Wanda, you’d taken her blood and now you were watching her slip into unconsciousness, no no! This wasn’t meant to happen you’d never hurt Wanda, even with everything that had happened you didn’t want to hurt her! Or did you? You were just angry and confused on what was going on you weren’t thinking straight
Quickly jumping off of her body and snatching her hands away from Val you picked her up and cradled her in your arms “Wanda Wanda please forgive I didn’t mean to hurt you I never wanted to hurt you like this I’m sorry I’m so so sorry, wake up please wake up”
The demon had never seen you so vulnerable before, in tears over a human, sure she’d heard the stories of you essentially becoming “soft” for the human but never like this “Y/n? Maybe we should take her to the hospital?”
You shook your head gently as if not to wake Wanda “and say What? Here’s a girl and she was bitten by a demon? Oh no its okay no need to file a report I’m the one that did it here have my teeth pictures, no I need to get her to the club, Dr banner will come and fix her”
“He’s not a human doctor-
“Doesn’t matter! I say he’ll fix her so he will!” You held Wanda close as Valkyrie held you both transporting back to the club
**************************************************
“I I don’t know what you want me to do Y/n I can’t fix an human, you’ve bitten her so she’ll probably wake up on her own-
“Leave” you whispered, Bruce, Valkyrie and Lucifer didn’t move
“Leave!” You shouted and the trio quickly left the room, you looked back at Wanda and noticed her shivering “oh my love I’m so sorry, I’m sorry for everything I’m an idiot I saw the dream that Loki made too and I loved it, I loved the build a bear thing that happened and the stupid little name buddy we gave him I-I can’t think of anything to say to help, just please wake up”
Obviously she didn’t wake up but you stayed with her, you refused to leave her side, it was only a couple of hours later when you woke up to some shuffling proving that she woke up “Wanda!”
You smiled but that smile quickly disappeared seeing Wanda’s scared face “Wanda? It’s me you’re safe”
“You bit me, you forcefully sucked my blood” her speech was slow and uneven but her words still hurt you “I-I’m sorry Wanda I was just so angry and confused my demon form took over and I couldn’t stop it” you tried coming closer to Wanda but she stood up from the bed still disoriented but she refused to let you see that
“I saw the dream too Wanda I saw everything-
“Stop. I heard you while I was unconscious, it doesn’t matter, I’m done, I can’t keep dealing with you, I can’t keep trying to be with you when you’re being so stubborn and unreasonable- just I’m going to my parents for a few weeks, they may not approve of most of my decisions but at least they don’t try and fucking kill me”
She left the room and you didn’t try and follow her knowing full well she wouldn’t want you too
Yep you’d definitely fucked all that up, maybe some time would help Wanda
*******************************************
“Wanda you don’t look so good” Natasha had picked Wanda up and per her request was driving her to the train station to go to her parents
Wanda shrugged “I’ve not slept and feeling down, of course I don’t look good
Nat didn’t respond to her angry quip and instead drove in silence finally reaching the station and getting out of the car waiting for Wanda
“Sorry Nat I’m just really stressed0
Nat shrugged “it’s okay you’ve had a bit of a rough time”
Wanda agreed “yeah it’s been terrible, but I hope it’ll get better”
*****************************************************
“Y/n you look terrible” lucifer casually mention as you flopped down onto his couch “yeah well it’s been a fucking rough week alright? So fuck off”
Your head suddenly started to throb and forced you to sit up and grip your head you heard screaming in your head, was it Wanda? Wanda was shouting for you?
“She’s shouting because you bit her and she’s strayed far from you, she’s bound to you forever now, really fucked up there didn’t you?” Lucifer laughed and you groaned
“She’s in so much pain, I’ve never felt pain like it, even my death wasn’t this bad”
“Go after her then, trust me if you leave it the pain will get worse”
************************************************
“Wanda!” Natasha rushed to her side as she threw up on the ground in front of her “Wanda are you okay?!”
The woman shook her head “I need Y/n”
“What?”
“I need Y/n! Fuck it’s hurts so much” her throat was on fire, she didn’t know why she wanted you but in her mind only you could fix her problems, only you could save her, at least that’s what her brain was telling her
Nat looked around in the nearly empty space and spotted a few people trying to hide from helping but then her eyes landed on you, you were here?? How? Did you know she was in pain?
“Nat give me Wanda” the girl shook her head “she said she didn’t want you”
You looked at Wanda who when she finally looked up at you nearly kept out of Nat’s arms “Y/n! Please I need you I don’t know what’s going on but I need to be with you”
“Nat please I don’t want to make a scene, give me Wanda before she collapses okay?”
Nat nodded and handed Wanda to you who wrapped herself around you like a spider monkey finally stopping crying and began falling asleep
“Nat go home, I promise to take care of her, drive safe”
You didn’t wait for an answer and just left with Wanda kissing her forehead “I’m so sorry again Wanda and I’m really sorry for what’s going to happen when you wake up”

flirting and kissing
natasha romanoff x gn!reader
“that’s why i don’t shop there anymore. they don’t have anything cute anyway, to be honest, but everything was so cheap.” natasha stares at your lips as you pout, reminiscing about some story. she was trying to focus on what you’re saying, but something about you was distracting her. “nat?” maybe it was the way your forehead creased and your eyebrows furrowed. it reminded of her of a small puppy. “hello??” maybe it was the way your eyes sparkled about whatever you talk about. so pretty and big. she wanted to stare into your eyes forever. “natasta?” she blinks and realizes how far her mind was. you sit, cross-legged, across from her on the couch, turned to face her.
“sorry, i-”
you giggle, “don’t worry about it, i’ve been talking too much anyway. i was probably boring you.”
“no! no, you could never bore me!” she grabs your hand and squeezes. you stare at her, startled. her eyes widen and, quickly, she lets go of you. “keep talking, i like your stories.” she turns away, she feels a blush run up her face.
“o-oh okay, anyway-” you start talking once more, but natasha couldn’t focus. embarrassed, she couldn’t find it in herself to look at you. “natasha.” you call out to her, your voice stern. she looks at you, resigned. “what’s up with you?” you ask, concerned.
something in her melts at the softness in your voice, “i used to be really good at this.” she gestured between her and you. you tilt your head, all puppy-like, in confusion. you start to ask what she means when she continues, “god, i really really like you. and i don’t know how to make it stop cause you deserve someone better, someone less… damaged.” her voice breaks, and she feels hot tears start to stream down her face. it takes her back to bruce and steve and every person that she’s ever tried to love. “i’ve always been too damaged, too broken, too scarred, too-” the sob stuck in her throat breaks her sentence. natasha looks away, not wanting you to see her like this.
“nat…” she feels your palm on her cheek, cradling her face. she leans into it and you gently turn her head towards you. both your hands cradle her face as you both sit an inch apart. tears continue to fall and her eyes trail to your lips. you lean in and your lips press. she pulls you in by the waist. she kisses you like you’ll disappear if she stops. you kiss back with the same urgency. her hands tight around your waist and you sit on her lap. your hands pulling her face against yours. you pull away and natasha chases after you. with a small smile, you rest your forehead against hers. she sighs.
“you are not unlovable. you are a warrior, a hero. you deserve the world and the sun and the moon. and, dare i say it, the whole universe.” you take your hands off her and gesture wildly. natasha smiles and you start to wipe her tears. she leans into your touch. “i like you too, you know. i really, really, really like you.” she pulls you closer, your head falls onto her shoulder. she leans her cheek on your head.
she lets out a wet chuckle, “i swear, i used to be really good at flirting.”

Cleaning up
pairing: Natasha Romanoff x fem reader
Tw: sh, blood, guilt. Nothing is mentioned graphically except the blood (slightly).
Please to not read this if it might make you relapse! My dms are open if you need to talk <3
AoU Natasha >>>>>
(except the Bruce thing)
“y/n!” Natasha yelled as she rushed to the bathtub. “Baby. Baby, how deep.” Her voice was laced with worry and slight panic. She put her hands on either one of your cheeks, and you could feel them shaking.
“n-not very deep,” you said, and she sighed with relief. Her eyes were flushed with worry and looking at you to confirm your point. You took a towel and started wiping the blood off, but she stopped you and started running the bath water. She changed the temperature from hot to medium-cold, as she knew that was the one that sting your cuts the least. You watched her, admiring her short red hair although it was not what you should be doing at this moment and it was slightly weird, and she rolled her eyes at you playfully when she realized.
Despite the joking that had lightened the mood, her lips were tightly pressed together and her hands still shaking. You wanted to reach out and comfort her, but were afraid of freaking her out as your own hands were covered in your blood.
She turned the tap water off and poured some soap into her hand- you had used it before, it didn’t sting- and started gently rubbing it across your thighs until all of the blood was gone. Then, she washed over everywhere else the blood had gotten, a bit less gently.
When you got out of the tub, you wrapped yourself in a dark- colored towel and sat down on the edge of the tub when you were dry. Per your routine, Natasha bandaged up your legs and put disinfectants on the cuts.
Then the tears started flowing. “I-I’m so sorry, I know I promised, a-and I was almost to fourty days, I-” Natasha hugged you.
“shh, baby, it’s gonna be okay, we can make it back to thirty-six, okay? I know that you’re strong and I know that you can do this, and you can come to me next time you feel like this. Okay?”
You nodded and buried your head in her shirt. She carried you to bed, and the two of you fell asleep, ready to make 36 days again.

Breaking Point
𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞: Breaking Point
𝐅𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦: Marvel/MCU
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫(𝐬)/𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐩(𝐬): Wanda Maximoff x Reader
𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞: N/A
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 850
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Yelling, arguing, break up, toxic Wanda, toxic-ish Reader, Angst
𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: You are done ripping yourself apart to keep you and Wanda together.
𝐀𝐍: Random angst while I finish editing all these multi-chapter fics I wanna post. I am an unfortunate perfectionist. I may continue this in the future or I may never touch it again. Let me know what y’all think <3
“I have no reason to sit here and believe that you want nothing to do with me!” Wanda exclaimed, her hands and arms extended at her sides. “You expect me to think you don’t care for me? That you-” She scoffs. “What? That you don’t love me?!”
You gave no response and simply gripped the strap of your duffle bag so tight that your knuckles lightened. She chuckled but it was void of humor. You shifted your weight from one leg to the other and spoke after her outburst.
The living room of your once organized and aesthetically pleasing home was a mess. Couch cushions thrown around, the coffee table knocked over, a broken vase and the wilting flowers that once sat in them laid; abandoned on the ground to die. Just like your relationship.
“I don’t want to leave you—Then don’t— but I don’t want to burn myself to the ground to keep you warm.” You scowled. “It took me packing my shit for you to partially own up to the way you’ve been neglecting me these last few months.”
Screaming and throwing things didn’t work and clearly weren’t the solution; bargaining is all she has left. “Okay, but baby don’t go…I love you; you know that.” She took small steps towards you as if she were approaching a wounded animal on the side of the road. “We can work things out and come back stronger than before.”
Your eyes didn’t bother to push any tears to the surface the same way Wanda’s did. That’s when you knew it was time for you to leave, when you became numb to it all. Numb towards her jokes. Numb towards you being dragged around like a prize rather than a person. Numb to her canceling dates last minute only to see her posting her outings with her friends on social media the same day. Numb to her flirting with people when you were a few feet away. Numb to her love. All of it. You stopped caring and knew that would inevitably lead to you hurting each other. And that was the only thing you were certain you wanted to avoid. Dragging things along, longer than they needed to be.
You sighed then shook your head. “I don’t want to work on it anymore. I don’t want to work on anything, I’m tired of being everything to you when it’s convenient and me seeing you as everything and treating you as everything no matter how many times you’ve hurt me. And regardless of the number of times you’ve let me down—it’s like you’re going down a list and saying hmm ‘what else can I do that will cause them trust issues but ultimately won’t make me single again.’ Like you purposefully have been going out of your way to test my boundaries and push me to the point of complacency and you expect me to sit here and take it and believe you’ll change again? If I was enough for you, I wouldn’t need to be so docile for you to be with me and if you are enough for me, I wouldn’t be reaching my breaking point in such an exhausting manner. You’re not just disrespecting me but the love I have for you is making me disrespect myself. I love you Wanda Maximoff…but you don’t love me and I’m not waiting around for you to start when I love me more than I’ll ever love you.”
Wanda opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. She sobbed and covered her face with her hands as she finally accepted that she lost you. She ruined the one consistent person relationship she had in her life.
Your shoulders sagged as you turned away and walked out the door. Your mind and your heart battling as you begged yourself not to run and comfort her. It would be so easy to turn around and apologize and say that the two of you could work it out. The easy way is not always the right way. Natasha stood outside; leaning on the moving truck with a lit cigarette in her hand. She brought it up to her mouth a final time, inhaled then threw it on the ground and pressed her boot on it. She knows you don’t like cigarettes and didn’t want to make your mood worse from the smell.
“Sorry, I’ll leave the windows down for a bit.” She opened the passenger door then ran around to the drivers side and hopped in.
The truck roared to life, the two of you sat in silence as Natasha pulled out of the complex you and Wanda’s condo was in. Natasha spoke once she was a few miles away.
Without looking at you she asked, “Wanna talk about it?”
Your tears came rushing to the surface all at once. You released a shaky sigh, intertwined your arms and leaned your head on her shoulder. “Nope.” Your giggle was watery and filled with pain.
Natasha leaned down and kissed the top of your head then leaned her head on your own. “Okay.”

Uh, Guys?
My Masterlist
Pairing(s): Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader, Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader, Bucky Barnes x Natasha Romanoff, Bucky Barnes x Natasha Romanoff x Fem!Reader
Warnings: There Was Only One Bed, no smut (i know, rare for me these days), idiots in love. bi!reader, bc both bucky and natasha are hot and i’m so fucking gay. implied bi!natasha bc she also likes bucky. mentions of guns, shooting, blood, and medical supplies. nervous!reader. best friends to lovers x2. it’s just pretty fluffy
Word Count: 2417
Summary: You get put on a mission with both the infamous Winter Soldier and Black Widow to take down a Hydra base. You get shot and the extraction plan goes haywire but Tony knows a safe house. The only issue? There’s only one bed and you have a massive crush on both assassins.
**
“Okay, HYDRA missions are officially the worst.” You said into your comms, running through the halls, away from gunfire, towards the computer terminal. You threw the door closed behind you and quickly looked around for any agents or doors that could be used to attack you. Seeing that you were leaning against the only door, you grabbed a chair and shoved it under the doorknob.
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Natasha asked through the comms.
You nodded before remembering she couldn’t see you. “Ah, yea-um, maybe.” You said, plugging the USB in. “I’m in the room with the computer, but I’m pretty sure I got shot.”
“I’m on my way to you, Y/N.” Bucky said, jogging towards where he knew the terminal was.
“Don’t bother, I shoved a chair under the door so nobody can get in and I’m not moving it just for you to carry me out of here. I’m fine, I’m still standing, and- oh, okay, I’m bleeding more than I thought, but I’m fine.” You replied, downloading all of the files on the computer for Tony and FRIDAY to sort through later.
Bucky sighed audibly through the door, “Really, N/N? Let me in please, just so you don’t accidentally bleed out alone?”
You checked the files to make sure they were downloading properly and moved the chair enough so you could open the door to make sure Bucky wasn’t being impersonated by a HYDRA agent. “What’s the password?” You asked, knowing that everyone on the team had a secret password with the other in case of something like this.
Bucky chuckled, rolling his eyes and leaning in the doorway slightly. “Monopoly.” You sighed dramatically and moved the chair out of the way, letting Bucky in. “You didn’t believe it was truly me?” He asked, dramatically offended.
“Buck, with the way technology is these days, they could probably clone you. Hell, the clone could know the code word and you’re not actually here with me, it’s an agent that’s gonna kill me.” You sat back down, continuously downloading their files and deleting them off the computer once you had them.
“Well, doll, you know that’s not it.” He said, leaning in the doorway to be able to watch you and the hallway.
You chuckled, watching the last of the files download. “Yeah, I know, but it could be.”
Bucky watched drops of blood continuously drip onto the floor. “Are you sure you’re okay? You look like you’re bleeding a lot.”
“I’m fine, Buck. This is not the first time I’ve been shot. It’s not important.” You said, pulling the USB out and turning to him.
“Where is it?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.
“My bicep is going to be fine.” You replied calmly, walking out of the room and jogging back towards where the three of you landed after parachuting out of the quinjet.
“Did you just try to convince me that your arm wasn’t important?!” Bucky shouted after you, jogging to catch up, the both of you running out of the building and to Natasha.
She raised an eyebrow at you and Bucky, motioning around to the empty clearing. “First of all, your arm is extremely important. Secondly, apparently, they booked more missions than extractions, so we have no way of getting home for the immediate future. Third, Tony has a safe house about 3 miles northeast of here, and he sent me the coordinates. Apparently we’re stuck together until at least morning.”
Bucky nodded at Natasha’s words and started walking northeast, you and Natasha following behind. You quickly fell into a rhythm of just following their footsteps as you got lost in your own head. It wasn’t that you were scared of Natasha or Bucky, not at all. You and Nat had been best friends for years, and Bucky was one of the only other people you would go to when you were feeling out of it. Your current issue was that you had feelings for them both, which had ruined your last relationship, since your ex-girlfriend figured out that she was not your priority. Cradling your arm to your chest, Natasha and Bucky finally realized you weren’t contributing to the conversation and turned to look at you.
“N/N?” Bucky asked softly, snapping you out of your trance. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” You said, sighing. “This just hurts a little more than I thought. How much further do you think it is?”
Nat smiled, laughing at you a little. “Darling, it’s been 10 minutes. We have a while to go.”
“It’s not still bleeding, is it?” Bucky asked again.
“No, the bullet lodged in my shoulder, so it’s not bleeding. Let’s just go, please? I’d really like to sit down.” You replied, walking past them in the direction you had all started in.
Natasha and Bucky gave each other a look before Bucky jogged over to you, picked you up bridal style, and kept jogging. Nat was jogging after the two of you, figuring that Bucky would want to get you to the safe house, stitched up and bulletless as soon as possible before your injury got any worse.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Twenty minutes of light jogging and your complaining that you could walk perfectly fine and Bucky didn’t need to carry you anywhere passed the time quickly, and before you knew it, the three of you were standing on the porch of the safe house. Natasha opened the door and allowed Bucky to take you inside.
“Uh, guys? I may be hallucinating from blood loss, but there’s only one bed.” You said, tapping Bucky on the shoulder.
Natasha and Bucky shared a look, Bucky setting you down on the bed. “Tony did this on purpose.” She said, sitting next to you. “You know we’re gonna have to take your tac suit off to dress the wound, right?”
“Yeah, I know.” You said, wincing.
“Are you okay?” Bucky asked, cradling your arm as he slid it out of your sleeve.
“I’m just in a bit of pain, and I’m not wearing a shirt underneath this.” Bucky’s eyes widened. “It’s comfier without the shirt and the fabric crinkles weirdly, but I’m wearing a bra.” You reassured him. “You aren’t gonna see everything, Buck.”
“I’ll still feel better if Nat does it.” He said, shifting his weight between his feet.
Nat glanced between the two of you. “I can’t do that. I can’t stitch wounds, Buck. It has to be you, especially because that’s Y/N’s dominant arm.”
“Yeah, I can’t pull the bullet out and stitch my own wound shut this time, unfortunately.” You said, shrugging with your unwounded arm. “But if it would make you feel better, Nat can help me out of my suit. I’m wearing a pair of shorts and I’m sure that there’s an extra shirt around here somewhere that I can wear.”
“I can absolutely help you out of your suit, honey.” Nat said, reaching for the zipper.
Bucky averted his eyes, blushing, as Nat helped you out of the mission-necessary tactical suit. “I’m gonna go find the medical kit I know Tony must have in here, shout when you’re ready for me.”
“Okay, Buck. Sure.” You said softly, wincing as your shot arm came out of the sleeve.
“Don’t mind his nervousness.” Nat said, moving towards the other shoulder. “He hasn’t really been with anyone since waking up from HYDRA and getting the trigger words taken out of his head. And I know he likes you, so that doesn’t probably make things better.”
Your eyes widened. “Bucky likes me?”
Natasha nodded quickly, “He’s not the only one. Do you have feelings for anyone?”
“I- um, yes? I just don’t want to say anything.” You said, averting your eyes from where Natasha was sliding your tac suit down your body.
“Why’s that?” She asked.
“I have feelings for more than one person. And I’m friends with them both and they’re friends.” You blurted out, feeling her hands skim over the band of your bra.
She nodded in response, slipping a finger in the band. “This is cute. Where’d you get it?”
“Ardene, you’d like it. I get a lot of stuff from there.” You breathed a sigh of relief that she was going to let this topic slide.
“Do I know either of them?” She asked, sliding your suit down further.
You nodded. “Both of them. Quite close, actually.”
“Am I?” You shivered slightly as you felt her breath ghost over your stomach. “You know it’s okay to talk about feelings, honey.” You hummed in agreement, mulling over in your head whether or not to tell her. “Buck or I won’t judge you.” Nat pulled your suit off and ran her hands up and down your calves a few times in a soothing motion.
Bucky popped his head back into the room. “What aren’t we judging?”
“Y/N has a crush on two people she’s friends with, they’re friends, and I’m apparently quite close to both of them.” Nat explained, keeping eye contact with you and slightly raising one eyebrow to make sure she got the facts right. You nodded once, sharply, fighting the urge to crawl under the covers and curl in on yourself.
“Oh, baby doll.” Bucky said, coming to sit next to you on the bed. “You know you can tell us anything.” He wrapped an arm around you and you burrowed your face into his chest. “Oh shit, this is something you’re really nervous about, isn’t it, doll?”
You nodded, knowing now you were going to have to tell both of them the truth. “I like you.” You said softly, knowing Bucky’s super-soldier hearing would pick it up.
“You like me, baby doll?” He asked, rubbing your back as Nat came to sit on your other side. You nodded again, attempting to burrow further into his chest. “Hey, that’s okay, sweet pea. I like you too.”
“Nat told me that.” You said softly, feeling the glare from your best friend burn into your back.
“Who’s the other one, N/N?” She asked sharply.
“You.” You said into Bucky’s chest, knowing he pointed at Nat when he heard you say it.
“Me?” Nat asked, surprised.
You nodded, pulling your head out of Bucky’s chest, but not willing to meet either of their eyes. “Of course it’s you guys. It’s always been the two of you there for me.” You paused, letting them mull over what you just said. “It’s why Meg and I split.”
Bucky turned you to face him so he could start pulling the bullet out of your shoulder. “How so, baby doll?” Nat rested her chin on your other shoulder, holding out a hand for you to squeeze.
“Well, she didn’t like the fact that I was constantly on missions, which is literally my job, so that didn’t help matters. But the other thing is that she said I looked at you guys differently than her, treated the two of you better.” You said, looking down and squeezing Nat’s hand.
Nat rubbed your back, knowing that if you hadn’t told the two of them this, you hadn’t told anyone. “She broke up with you because she could tell you liked us?”
You nodded. “She said that if she wasn’t my first priority then we weren’t meant to be. And work is always my priority.”
“But then it’s us?” Bucky asked softly, stopping the bleeding of the removal from the bullet before he stitched you shut again.
“Yeah.” You said softly. “She didn’t like that much.”
Bucky stitched you up, and as he had changed out of his suit while finding the medical kit, pulled his shirt off for you to wear. “Here, sweetheart. You’re all stitched up.”
“Oh, thank you, Buck.” You said, putting on his shirt, the nickname and his scent lighting your insides on fire. You sighed softly, curling up under the covers and rolling away from both of them, not knowing what to say to your two closest friends now that you had spilled your heart to them and they didn’t say anything.
Nat knelt next to you on the bed, gently placing a hand on your busted shoulder. “N/N, please don’t pout. Buck and I have talked, because we both like each other, and you. We want to try to make this work.”
Bucky knelt on the floor, cupping your face in his hands. “We don’t have to move quickly, baby doll, we just wanna be with you, if that’s something you’d be okay with.”
“Yeah.” You said softly. “I’d be okay with that. But how does something like this even work?”
“Baby, this is like any relationship, we’ll figure it out as we go. Communication and comprehension is key. And we’re pretty good at that.” Nat said, gently rolling you onto your back. “So why don’t we just start with cuddles? And we can go from there later.”
You nodded, moving over to the middle of the bed so they could both crawl in with you. “Is this okay? Or did you guys want to be closer to each other?”
“This is perfect, baby doll.” Bucky said, reaching across you to throw his arm over both you and Nat.
“Yeah, perfect.” Nat said, snuggling further into your side.
“Yeah, this is everything I’ve ever wanted.” You said, leaning your head against Nat’s while curling further into Bucky.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Quick take a picture!” You heard somebody exclaim to wake you up. You were still very disoriented, having just woken up and you hadn’t even blinked your eyes open when light flashed behind them.
“What the fuck is that?” Nat mumbled into your shoulder, eyes closed still.
“I dunno.” You mumbled, wrapping an extra arm around her. “Don’ really care either.”
Bucky pulled you both closer. “It’s Sam and Steve here to pick us up.”
“But ‘m comfy ‘n sleepy.” You mumbled into Nat’s hair.
“I know you are, baby doll.” He said, beginning to untangle himself from the cuddle pile the three of you were in. “How about we all go for a nap back at the compound after we let your bullet wound actually get checked out?” Once untangled, Bucky picked you up in one arm and Nat in the other to carry you back onto the quinjet.
You nuzzled into his shoulder. “That sounds good.”
“So how did this all happen, punk?” Steve asked, taking you carefully from Bucky so neither you or Nat were dropped.
Bucky glanced between you and Nat fondly. “We’re all idiots.”

Crushing The Voice - Wanda x fem reader x Natasha
Tumblr media Tumblr media

It's the best appreciation you can show to a writer you like.
Requested? Yes
-----------------------
I had always had this little voice inside my head. At least I could not remember a time where it had not been.
The voice that was telling me that I was not good enough, that every good thing happening to me was only an illusion ready to burst at any time, without a warning.
Sometimes the voice was quiet enough to drown it out. But sometimes it got so loud that everything else faded into the background.
The only thing that could make the voice go silent then was a strong stimulus. So my mind would not have another chance than to concentrate on the more eminent threat.
So I could not help myself but cut it all of. The voice, the oxygen and therefore the ability to breathe, to provide my body with the oxygen it so desperately needed.
The grip around my throat was incredible tight. Honestly I had never expected to have such strong hands. But panic and desperation were giving you unknown abilities.
I was not sure what I was feeling while choking. Panic, relief, numbness. Maybe a strange mixture of all of them.
When the door to the bedroom suddenly opened it all started to twist into panic.
Wanda and Natasha did not know about my choking. They had been so relieved when I had finally managed to stop cutting a few months ago. It had taken a long time for them to trust me that I would not hurt myself when they were not around. Them seeing me doing it again now, just in another way, would ruin everything we had achieved.
Nevertheless I could not get myself to stop despite knowing that one of them would definitely find out now.
Due to my tears the lack of air my vision had already begun to turn blurry, my attention was not focused at all.
I just noticed my girlfriend's approach when it was too late. Her arm had slung around mine, trying to get me to stop.
Out of reflex I hurled her away from me. Once again my insane strength surprised me as I heard her hit the wall.
Now the urge to choke moved to the background as I realized what I had done. I had hurt her.
I hurried over to my girlfriend, my vision slightly returning back to normal, thanks to the oxygen entering my body. Now I could see Wanda in front of me.
“I'm so sorry”, I cried.
Although I should be able to breathe just fine now, it still felt like no air was reaching my lungs as my panic increased. And all of a sudden it did not bring any relief anymore.
Desperately I intended to help Wanda up.
She did not hesitate to take my hands, but did not really put any weight on them while standing up. She had just wanted to get close to me.
“Hey, it's okay”, she reassured me, pulling me closer.
I could hear that her voice was trembling as well, but I could not quite understand why.
She gave me a few seconds to hug her back, before tightening the embrace.
I was sobbing so heavily that I ironically could barely breathe.
Actually I did not even notice Natasha entering the room as well, until she placed her hand on my shoulder.
“I'm sorry”, I repeated on and on, whenever my body gave me the chance to between my sobs.
After a felt eternity my crying finally subsided and my girlfriends led me over to our bed to sit down.
I was leaning against Natasha as Wanda was caressing my hand.
“I'm sorry”, I claimed for the last time. “Please don't hate me now.”
“Why would we hate you?”, Natasha questioned, taking off guard.
“You just started trusting me again and what do I do? I betray your trust. I even hurt Wanda”, I proposed.
“I'm okay, love”, Wanda promised. “You were upset. It's partly my fault as well for startling you. Let's not obsess about it, okay?”
“And we could never hate you”, Natasha added. “We love you way too much for that.”
“We've managed to get through such a situation once. We can do it again. Together, alright?”, Wanda inquired.
“You deserve better”, I mumbled.
“We deserve better?”, Nat wondered. “You're one of the most incredible people I know. Just because you're struggling to cope in a healthy way doesn't mean you aren't worthy of love. Or would you want us to hate ourselves for what we've done in our past? Because that's a part of us we can't change either. We can only try to work on ourselves and do better in the future. How can you expect any more than that from yourself?”
“You're all we want, (f/n)”, Wanda chimed in, a beautiful smile adorning her face. “And we'll tell you that as often as you need to hear it to make the voice inside your head stop.”

Hey, that was a heavy one again! What do you think about it?

I Knew You Loved Me: Kate Bishop-
“Kate Bishop, where are you?” You call through the empty corridors of the suspected Hydra base. Pacing slowly, with your gun in hand; ready to fire if needed.
“Seriously? You have been hanging out with Yelena too long. What’s wrong with just ‘Kate’?” The archer’s voice sounds through the earpiece lodged in your ear.
You chuckle in response, “Oh come on Bishop, you know I’m kidding, and besides you know what Lena is like, once she’s got her heart set on something, she‘ll do anything to make it happen.”
“You’re saying she has her heart set on irritating me?” Kate questions confusedly.
“Precisely, now give me an update, have you found anything?” You bring the current task back into focus- you and Kate were assigned to check out an abandoned warehouse, South of the city. Records show that its lease expired months ago, however reports suggest that strange noises have been heard from inside the building. With the increased attacks against the Avengers in concern with Hydra, the team aren’t taking any chances and decided it's best to check out any suspicious buildings.
“No, there’s nothing here, I think it was a false alarm, man this place is creepy though.” Kate says.
You line yourself up with a corner of the wall, slowly edging your gaze around it to check if the coast is clear- it is, allowing you to cross to the other side of the wall.
“Kate, we’ve only been here for ten minutes, there’s no way you’ve finished searching your side of the building.” You roll your eyes, you have to agree, the place is creepy. All the walls are white and plain; displaying cracked paint, illuminated by flickering fluorescent lights above. It looks like something straight out of a horror film. The worst part is, you’re convinced you spotted trace patterns of dried up blood on your way in here- highlighting the eerie atmosphere.
“Well what about you? Do you have anything?” Kate enquiries.
You move one foot in front of the other, slowly; scanning every inch of the building’s features to ensure a thorough job is carried out.
“Not quite yet, but something has definitely been going on here, I mean I swear the floor has claw marks on it.” You wince as you say it, dreading the nature of what could have caused those marks.
“I don’t like this y/n-“ Kate’s words are cut off and replaced with a blood curdling scream. Your body freezes in terror, the sudden shock sending a jolt through your system.
“Kate?!” You call, the only response you receive is her terror filled pleas filling the air, a constant ‘help me’ requested.
You sprint in the general direction of her screams, the echoing trait of the walls making it difficult to pinpoint a precise location.
You round several corners, until you come across complete darkness, the lights have failed. With shaky hands you pull out a compact torch from your stealth suit’s pocket. Using a few attempts to flick it on.
You aim it into the darkness, hoping to accentuate the hallway once more.
You timidly whisper ‘Kate’, dreading the scene you’re about to come across from the sounds of torture ripping through the building.
Your eyes remain in a wide state, your body shakes violently; sweat makes its way to the surface of your skin whilst your heart works non stop to activate your ‘fight or flight’ response.
You move the torch rapidly, hoping to find any sign of Kate.
Suddenly, you hear small whimpers close by, causing you to pick up your speed and locate their origin.
Thankfully, you come across Kate, though your heart shatters at the sight. She’s curled up into herself, rocking back and forth, clutching desperately at the purple fabric of her suit. She releases incoherent sounds, sobbing into herself.
You lean down in front of her, propping the torch up to give a bit more light.
“Kate.” You call out softly, not receiving a response. You gently place your hands on her knee, which causes her to flinch slightly before attempting to strike you.
You quickly grab her hands to stop her from hitting you, “Hey, hey, it’s okay, it’s just me, it’s y/n.” You reason with her, causing her to relax her arms in your grip.
Her face is drenched with tears, her breaths are rapid-attempting to overcome her period of anxiety.
You rub her arms soothingly, attempting to calm her down, “Come on Kate, deep breaths. What happened? Are you hurt?” You ask as you scan her body for any sign of injury.
She shakes her head, “I-I’m fine, it doesn’t matter.” She stutters out as she tries to regain her breath, avoiding all eye contact with you.
“Oh, it’s just the screaming, I thought you’d gotten hurt. Kate something must have happened for you to be in this state. Please tell me, you know you can trust me.” You attempt to support Kate.
She briefly makes eye contact with you before mumbling, “You’ll just laugh at me, you and Yelena that is.”
You raise your eyebrow in uncertainty, “What? Why would I laugh? With the near heart attack I just nearly had, I’m not in the mood for laughing. Please, I promise I won’t laugh.”
She looks at you to detect any signs of deceit, finding none she releases a sigh, “I don’t like the dark, it freaks me out. I don’t know what it is, I just panic when I’m all alone and I just feel vulnerable. Usually when I tell people they make fun of me for it.” She shifts in her spot, waiting for your reaction.
“Kate, it’s okay to be afraid, it came out of nowhere, you were bound to be scared. This is by no way of me making fun of you, but what do you do at night? None of the Avengers have ever mentioned this.” You gently put forward.
“Well since I don’t share a room, I use a light so I can still see everything in my room. Plus I have Lucky there to keep watch so if anything were to go wrong, he’d protect me.” She wipes at her face with her sleeves, attempting to cover up her leftover fear.
You sit cross legged on the floor, grabbing her hands firmly, “Kate, if you ever feel like this again, you can come to me okay, I won’t judge, I’ll do everything in my power to help you okay. Also, I promise not to tell anyone, especially Yelena.” You hold your pinky out to signify the importance of your words.
Kate looks at you in surprise, slowly wrapping her pinky around yours, “You don’t know how much this means to me, thank you.”
You’re about to comfort her further when the fluorescent lights flicker back on.
You quickly bring yourself up to your feet, holding your hands out to Kate to pull her up.
Once she’s up, you pick up your torch, switching it off and tucking it back in your pocket.
You look around to see if anything out of the ordinary stands out- everything seems plain.
“Kate, if you want to go back I understand, we can just go and ask someone else to take over the mission.” You don’t want Kate to feel pressured to continue if she isn’t in the right mindset, she’s your main priority at this moment.
She grabs her bow from the floor, gripping it tightly, “No, it’s okay, I’m good. Like you said, we need to do a proper search.” She straightens her stance, displaying her eagerness to carry on.
You sigh in defeat, “Okay, but if you change your mind, don’t hesitate to tell me alright?”
She gives you a firm nod, allowing you both to venture further down the corridor you are occupying.
You reach the end of the corridor, you stretch your arm out in front of Kate, signalling for her to stop as you check that the coast is clear.
“Wait, Kate look.” You both round the corner to see a door.
You both rush over to it, noticing it has a padlock on it. You trace your fingers over the wood, feeling the rough surface of the dead material. Splinters attempting to pierce your skin’s surface, causing you to move your hand away.
“It looks like it’s been closed for years.” Kate says as she taps at the lock.
“That doesn’t mean whatever is behind it isn’t of use, we need to find a way in.” You look around to see if there is anything around you that could be used as assistance.
“Are you kidding? I don’t want to open it, this place is getting worse and worse the longer we stay in it. I knew I should have let Clint take this mission.”
You stop your search when you hear a noise from behind the door; you shush Kate to see if you can hear it again.
“What is it? Is it a clue? Is it a-“
“If you stop talking I’ll be able to tell you exactly what it was.” You playfully scold her.
She leans in closer to the door with you.
You both hear a voice shout ‘hello?’.
“Was that you?” Kate asks.
You look at her baffled, she can’t seriously think that was you calling.
“You concern me Kate Bishop, now any ideas on how to get this door open?” You look at Kate expectantly.
“Well, I didn’t do Martial Arts for nothing, stand back.” Kate shoves you aside as she readies herself. With one brutal kick she sends the door crashing to the ground.
You give her a pat on her shoulder, “Good job, Kate nicely done.” You compliment, missing the blush spreading across her face.
You step closer to the doorway, noticing a set of stone stairs leading down into a room. A soft glow at the bottom.
You look back to Kate giving her nod to confirm the entry.
You raise your gun in front of you, on the defence without knowing what the stairs lead to.
Kate follows close behind, readying an arrow onto her bow.
You make it to the bottom and you feel your whole body stop for a moment.
The individual in front of you is barely alive.
The room has one lightbulb with a pull string, strong enough to display the streaks of blood that paint the walls. The floor displaying the same situation.
A male is placed in the centre of the room, tied to a wooden chair in chains. Blood soaked clothes with rips in them, barely clinging on to his body. He has a blindfold on, completely robbing him of his sight.
The sound of Kate’s footsteps catches his attention, “Hello, is someone there?” He asks.
You look at Kate who’s consumed by the sickening state in front of her, she’s never been on a mission like this- Clint wanted to shield her for a bit longer whilst she gets used to the duties of being an Avenger.
You stand in front of her to move her gaze away from the presumed hostage, “Kate, look at me, call it in, let Clint and the rest know what’s going on okay. I’ll go release him and see what I can find out.”
She gives you a silent nod, showing a vacant expression.
You move away to go towards the male, tucking your gun away in the process.
“Hey, you’re safe, I’m y/n, I’m an Avenger. We’re here to rescue you.” You say calmly as you assess his condition.
He releases heavy breaths, assumed to be from the anxiety of the predicament he’s in and the pain of the injuries sustained at the hands of what can only be Hydra.
“I’m going to remove the blindfold now okay, and then help you out of the chair.” You wait for a response before moving.
He gives you a slight nod, allowing you to reach forward and remove the black material.
He squints at the light, you can only dread to think how long he’s been down here, subjected to unimaginable torture.
When his eyes have adjusted to the light, he looks towards you; his eyes are bloodshot and bruised.
You move around to undo the chains trapping him to the chair, luckily they’re only tied into a knot, meaning you don’t need to cut through the metal.
Once he’s released he slumps forward, causing you to rush in front of him to stop him from falling on to the floor.
“Hey, hey, you’re okay, I’ve got you.” You attempt to push him back onto the chair, causing him to grunt in pain.
You can’t even begin to imagine how many injuries he has.
“Why are you here?” You ask him.
“Hydra… they took me hostage, beat the crap out of me for weeks until I’d give them answers on what I knew-“ He coughs furiously, fresh blood covering his sleeve.
You’re about to ask him to clarify what he means by ‘answers’ when Kate calls your name.
“Y/n, Clint wants to talk to you, it’s urgent.” She taps at her earpiece.
“Okay, Kate, can you come over here and help him out?” You say as you walk over to the corner of the room.
She nods as she takes your place by his side.
You tap on your earpiece, opening up the channel straight to the Compound, “Yes?”
“Y/n, what the hell are you thinking? Why did you let Kate-“
You stop Clint in his tracks, not having the blame put on you, “With all due respect Clint, I didn’t know this is what was going to happen. I can’t wrap her in cotton wool, one day she was bound to be exposed to this. If she wants to be an Avenger she’ll have to get used to things like this. It’s our job Clint.” You argue back.
Clint sighs, “Not everyone was raised in the Red Room like you and Natasha, some of us can’t just process things that are horrific like this and get on with our day.”
Your jaw clenches in annoyance, who is he to assume how you deal and process situations?
“Careful Barton, that sounds like a dig towards me and Romanoff. I’m sure when I see the past victims of my time in the Red Room every night in my dreams, I’m paying the price. I don’t need someone like you downplaying how I deal with trauma. Send a team to our location.”
Before he can even answer you cut off the line. You take in a few deep breaths, trying to calm yourself.
Your attention is caught when you hear a thud behind you.
You turn around to see Kate on the floor, with the hostage stood above her, having disarmed her.
She bangs her head on the floor before he delivers a harsh kick to her side, causing her to let out a cry of pain.
You reach for your gun, snapping it forward to the direction of the hostage.
He’s about to kick her again when he notices your gun, stopping his actions.
“Aww, sorry I didn’t realise you’d finished up on your call. I was just getting to know your friend here. She’s very sweet, very breakable though I imagine.” He puts on a wicked smile as he raises his foot up above Kate.
You tighten your grip on your gun, “If you dare kick her again, you’ll be wishing for Hydra to come back and finish the job because after I’m done with you you’ll be begging for death.”
He laughs at your threat, sending a wave of anger through you, “Oh, I forgot, the Avengers are supposed to show mercy, give people the chance to right their wrongs.” He takes a seat back in his chair, leaning his arms loosely on his knees.
Kate remains on the ground, not recovering well from the fall.
You harden your glare to the man above her, silently warning him to not hurt her again.
“Not all of us show mercy, you’ll find that out the hard way if you don’t do as I say.” You say in a low tone.
“What’s that? Give up? Surrender? It’s so cute, wait no, pathetic that you think you have control in this situation. Sweetheart, as soon as you opened that door you set off a silent alarm, Hydra will be swarming this building any second. We knew eventually that we’d spark the interest of the Avengers, and now we have two of our own to do with as we please. You might want to lower that gun before you hurt yourself with it.” He continues with his patronising state, causing your blood to boil.
“All this effort for two Avengers, seems like a waste doesn’t it?” You retort.
He shakes his head in amusement, “Oh no, we don’t really need her, she can be collateral, it was you we were after. The infamous y/n y/l/n, one of the best Widows to come out of the Red Room. We need someone with your ruthlessness on our side again. Who knew it would only take a fake hostage situation to lure you here. Though I’ve got say, you aren’t living up to your hardcore reputation.”
He lifts up his trouser leg to reveal a concealed knife, he quickly grabs it and places it on Kate’s stomach.
Your finger instantly covers the trigger, ready to fire, “This is not a game you want to play with me, drop the knife, or I will shoot you.”
He presses the knife down slightly to antagonise you, “It that a threat?”
“More like a promise, if you hurt her, I will kill you without hesitation. I’m giving you one more chance to surrender.”
He’s about to retaliate when you hear the sounds of voices upstairs.
“Kate?! Y/N!? Where are you?” You hear Yelena shout, causing you to smirk, knowing the Avengers have wiped out any Hydra agents who dared come near.
The Hydra agent in front of you tightens his fist, narrowing his eyes to display his anger at the destruction of his plan.
He lifts the knife away from Kate, causing you to draw your gun away.
He uses that as an opportunity to quickly slash Kate’s stomach; making her scream out in agony.
Not a second passes as you shoot him directly in the head, the force of the bullet causing him to slump back into the chair.
You rush to Kate’s side, putting pressure on her wound to stop the bleeding, “No, no, no, no Kate I’m so sorry. Please forgive me, please I need you to stay okay, I need you Kate, I need you so much, please.”
You scream for Yelena or any Avenger to find you, your lungs burning from the strain.
You look down and see Kate’s suit staining in red. Her eyes drifting to a close. You sob uncontrollably, doing everything you can to save her life.
Yelena staggers down the stairs, noticing your state-she assumes the worst. She rushes to your side and brings you into a hug. You cry desperately into her, wishing you could take Kate’s place in an instant. Your body is in shockwaves of hurt, feeling like part of you has died in the place of Kate.
The person you love most in this world is gone, and you didn’t even get the chance to tell her.

You stare out the window glaring at the trees. Adamant to take your mind off the events that occurred over the last day. You feel nothing but torment. You need Kate.
The muscles around your eyes are in agony, from the constant tears, they can’t take anymore stress.
You’ve been crying non stop since you got back, guilt surging your system. It took Natasha and Yelena two hours to calm you down. The events of the Red Room clouding your mind, the loss of Kate, it was too much. Eventually, Bruce was called to sedate you; the only thing strong enough to help you.
The sound of covers moving on the bed beside you catches your attention, halting your thought process.
“Kate?” You ask gently, in order to not startle her.
She slowly opens her eyes, groaning in pain. Wow, how you’ve been so desperate to see those gorgeous eyes again.
“Miss Bishop, how are you doing?”
She looks at you confused, “I prefer my full name than ‘Miss Bishop’, it makes me sound old, gross.” She attempts to push herself up, wincing in pain.
You rush to her side from your chair, “Easy Kate, you’ll over do it.” You say as you help her adjust.
She smiles at your actions; you go to sit back down but she grabs your hand to keep you close.
“I was close to the edge wasn’t I?” She asks.
You nod your head, tears building up,“You died Kate, your heart stopped. I held you in my arms and, and y-you were gone.” You burst into tears, Kate pulls you towards her, bringing you into a hug.
“Come here, y/n. I’m here, I’m safe. You haven’t lost me okay.” She guides you to lay next to her, as she wraps an arm around you.
You sniffle, trying to control your tears, “Kate, we could have lost you forever because of me. I’m the reason you’re in here, if I’d have just-“.
Kate places a kiss on your head, “Y/n, stop. Yeah, you are the reason I am here- alive. You saved me, all I remember before passing out were your hands on my stomach, telling me it was going to be okay. You kept me fighting. You did everything you could to save not just me, but so many people. By shooting that guy, you have saved so many lives y/n, I couldn’t be more proud of you.”
You bow your head at her words, processing your relief in her answers.
“Plus I knew you always loved me, no one is that protective over someone they don’t like.” Kate attempts to joke.
At your silence she furrowed her eyebrows, “Wait, you didn’t deny it, you always deny it when I say you love me.”
“Why would I deny the truth? I do love you Kate, with all my heart.”
Tears stream down Kate’s face, you wipe them away gently.
“I thought you just liked me as a super awesome friend, who is much cooler than Yelena.” You laugh at her words.
“I’ve always loved you, you idiot. I just didn’t have the courage to say it.”
Kate smiles uncontrollably, she leans in for a kiss to which you meet her halfway to reciprocate.
It took the fear of losing the love of your life, to give you the courage to actually tell her how you feel.
You finally have everything you could ever want- Kate Bishop is your world and you’ll do anything to protect her.

Note
Jaw’s totally keeps a picture of Natasha, Wanda, and Yelena in their wallet. Do they have a phone? Sure. But it’s not the same. They need this picture.
🥺
"I don't see the big picture, I have a little picture. I take it out and look at it every day." - Pietro Maximoff
You can't tell me Jaws doesn't have that same sentiment.
I did that to myself and now I need a friggin hug

Enchanted
Summary: The man with the metal arm never seems to remember you, but you really want him to. And, if he doesn't, you'll just have to figure him out yourself. (Inspired by the Taylor Swift song of the same name)
Word Count: 1,272
Pronouns: They/Them/Theirs
Published: 12/17/2022
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles You didn't enjoy the parties, necessarily, but they were something you went to. You couldn't exactly escape them. Your parents wanted you there, so you went. Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity, shifting eyes and vacancy
Vanished when I saw your face Your only saving grace was the man with the metal arm. You never got his name - you always forgot, and by the time you remembered, the party was over, and he was long gone.
The first time you met, you were nineteen. You weren't sure how old he was, maybe twenty-five or so, but he was handsome. You caught him staring at you, and crossed the room.
"Hello." He said.
"Hi. You look bored, standing here in the corner."
"You can't possibly be having fun yourself."
"Well, these things aren't completely terrible, when the company is good."
"Is the company good tonight?"
"We'll see."
And, at the end of the night, he left with a man in a suit.
"It was enchanting to meet you." He said. You held out your hand, intending for him to shake it, but he bent, kissing your knuckles.
"Likewise."
All I can say is, it was enchanting to meet you
The next time you meet, he doesn't seem to remember you. It's been a year, and you both look relatively the same.
Except this time, he walks over to you.
Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"
'Cross the room your silhouette
Starts to make its way to me
And so, the pattern began.
The playful conversation starts
Counter all your quick remarks
Like passing notes in secrecy
One of you makes your way to the other. He never seems to remember you, and you never get his name, but you see him at every party and talk to him every time.
And the night always ends with, "It was enchanting to meet you." He is always the one to say it, because he is the one who forgets.
And it was enchanting to meet you
All I can say is, I was enchanted to meet you
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you
After the second meeting, he remained on your mind. The man with the metal arm.
After the third, he began to keep you up at night.
Why didn't he remember?
The lingering question kept me up
2 AM, who do you love?
There had to be a reason. Your parents interacted with some shady people, but even when you saw him twice in a month, he didn't know you, and he always looked so familiar. Like you'd met him before, too, but you just couldn't place it.
I wonder 'til I'm wide awake
And now I'm pacing back and forth
Wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say, "Hey"
It's after the fifth time that you start dreaming about him.
It's horrible. You don't know his name, you barely know anything about him, but he's in your dreams. Whisking you away to a coffee shop, then a small apartment.
It was enchanting to meet you
All I know is, I was enchanted to meet you
You don't know how many times you've met when you finally get a good shot.
"It's warm in here." He says, and you look at him.
"We could go outside." The words are careful; slow. He doesn't seem to know you very well.
"I'll go if you do."
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
You lead him to a balcony overlooking a garden. You've been to this particular venue enough times that you practically have the place memorized.
"I swear I've met you before." You say, leaning on the railing.
"You're...familiar. I can't place it, though."
"Have you been to one of these parties before?"
"No. At least, I don't think so. Even if I had, I'm not supposed to talk to anyone tonight."
"Why not?"
"I'm a bodyguard. I'm supposed to stay with my boss."
"Then why didn't you?"
"I think he's okay. I'd rather talk to you, anyway."
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
That this night is flawless, don't you let it go
That night is when you finally sit down, determined to figure out who this guy is. You don't really get anywhere, but you do make a list of questions to ask, the next time you see him.
And if you fantasize about him a little, that's your business.
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you
A month later, you're out on the balcony again.
"I'm (Y/N), by the way. (Y/L/N)."
"James."
"Nice to meet you, James."
You don't press on the last name. It's a start.
And then, a man in a suit comes out onto the balcony. "It's time to go."
"Yes, sir." James turns back to you.
"I was...enchanted to meet you." You say, before he can.
He looks stunned, for just a second. "Likewise." He nods, and leaves.
This is me praying that
This was the very first page
Not where the story line ends
My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again
You sit down at your desk that night, opening your notebook to the page of questions you had written down.
Name: James
You didn't know anything else. You'd have to start there.
And maybe you'd ask him out, at some point. One day.
These are the words I held back, as I was leaving too soon
I was enchanted to meet you
The next time, he's with a woman. She has red hair, and she's wearing a green dress, and she looks ethereal.
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
He dances with her, once, then he makes his way to you. And you talk for the rest of the night, and when she comes to get him so that they can leave, she sends him off to get their coats and looks back at you.
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
"He likes you."
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
"Okay?"
You're a little scared of her, to be honest.
"He does. He just doesn't always remember things."
"Yeah, I kind of got that."
"Don't be too upset, alright?"
"I'm not."
You're more upset that he has a date for once than that he doesn't remember you. But her words linger, as you get in the car.
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet you
At the next party, you're the one to walk up to him.
"Hi. You look a tad put out." You accept two glasses of champagne from a passing waiter, offering him one. "Is something wrong?"
"Just waiting on someone. But it seems they've finally arrived."
"I'm sorry?"
"Hi, (Y/N)."
"You remember."
"Yeah. It's been a bit of...a long road. It's a crazy story, and I'd rather tell you...well, not here."
"Do you want to get coffee? This Saturday?"
He smiles. "Sure."
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you

Tumblr media
You sit in the waiting room, anxiously waiting for your name to be called. Your leg bounces rapidly against the marble tiles of the clinic, drawing the attention of other patients. You cross your legs, sanding a sheepish smile to an old lady who's been eyeing you for the last few minutes, wishing your boyfriend just stayed with you like he promised he would.
He's the one who made the appointment after all.
You sigh for a hundredths time and check your watch, debating on leaving. Peter will be disappointed, sure, perhaps even mad, but you still can't stomach the idea of admitting something so embarrassing to a stranger.
You've been dating for almost six months now, and after a lot of persuasion on his part, you've finally allowed him to take your virginity. Your jaw clenches when you remember the night. It was very romantic, sure, the wine was expensive and as old as your grandma, the food was delicious and his jokes were perfectly timed, but when it came down to it, you were both left disappointed.
Peter is attractive, sexy, and you know any girl would kill to be in your place, but when he took off his clothes and climbed on top of your naked body you couldn't feel a thing. You went to sleep unsatisfied. He went to sleep with a bruised ego and a promise of getting you right the next time.
And now you're here, ready to see a gynecologist, because there has to be something wrong with your body, there's no other explanation.
"Y/n Y/l/n?" A voice pulls you out of your head.
You look up to see a young woman, smiling down at you politely, her green eyes sparkling in the blinding lighting of the hospital.
"Yes?" You speak up hesitantly, torn between following the woman and trying to make it for the door.
Her smile turns genuine. "Follow me."
You walk behind the woman, your eyes pinned to the intricate braid, strands of brown hair clinging to her neck. You swallow, looking away. It's definitely not the time to stare at a pretty woman. She leads you to the last door down the hall, opening it and following behind you once you step in.
"Take a seat." She gestures at the chair in front of the doctors desk. You swallow nervously when you notice a gynecological chair behind a folding screen.
The woman squeezes your shoulder
"Don't be nervous. Dr. Romanoff will take good care of you," she says with conviction. For some reason it helps you relax, your shoulders dropping. "My name's Wanda," she says, "I'm Dr. Romanoff's assistant. I'll be here the whole time."
You gulp. "Like… the whole time?"
She smiles, mirth flickers in her eyes.
"Yes, the whole time." Another voice enters the conversation and you crane your neck to see the woman striding into the room to take place in the white leather chair behind the desk. "Is there a problem with that?"
She eyes you intently. You feel like it doesn't matter what your answer will be, Wanda will stay either way. And now, looking at the stern looking woman you feel like you'll need Wanda's soft reassurance. Maybe that's why she's here in the first place.
You shake your head at last, not trusting your voice not to waver.
"Good. Now tell me what's bothering you." The redhead flickers through your medical file, barely sparing you a glance.
You look at Wanda for help and she sends you an encouraging smile, her hand sliding lower down your arm. "Um…" you start, not sure how to broach the subject. "Well, you see, me and my boyfriend, we-" you swallow nervously, and Wanda takes hold of your hand, squeezing your fingers reassuringly. "We've been intimate… a few times. But it seems there's something wrong. With me, I mean." You cringe, biting your lip.
You can feel their gazes on you.
Dr. Romanoff's eyes narrow dangerously and you feel like getting up and running away.
"What do you mean by that, sweetheart?" Wanda asks, her breath fanning your ear.
You gather your courage and meet her eyes. "I can't- I can't finish." Now that you've started, the words come out easily. "I mean, it doesn't bother me, not really, but my boyfriend-"
"It doesn't bother you?" Dr. Romanoff cuts you off. You feel small under her eyes, ready to fold in on yourself.
"N-no?"
She sighs heavily and closes her eyes for a moment. You feel like a child about to get scolded.
"So you're here because your boyfriend can't make you come." The words leave her mouth the second her eyes open.
You flinch, scooting deeper into your seat. Wanda wraps her other arm around your shoulder, softly nudging you to continue.
"He- he told me he's never had that problem before, and I… well, when I tried it myself, you know…" You look at Wanda and she nods in understanding. "It didn't work either, so he must be right. Can you help me?" Your cheeks are crimson red by now, you can feel how hot your face is.
Dr. Romanoff stands up abruptly, making you flinch. She walks behind the folding screen and you can hear her fiddling with something. Wanda squeezes your shoulders reassuringly and tells you to follow her. You do so without a second thought.
"Take off your clothes," Dr. Romanoff says, settling on a rolling stool.
You gulp, folding your arms in front of your chest. "A- all of them?"
Dr. Romanoff looks like she wants to roll her eyes before stopping herself and looking at Wanda, her brow quirking. You can feel Wanda inhale sharply behind you.
"Yes, sweetheart, all of them." Her tone's urgent. "You need a thorough examination."
Dr. Romanoff smirks at that, shaking her head almost unnoticeably.
"You heard her." She nods at you.
You look around for a spot to undress, but figure it doesn't matter if they'll see you naked anyway, so you hesitantly start to undress under their scrutinizing eyes.
"Let me help." Wanda's fingers skimp over your skin as she helps you take off your bra, your nipples hardening from the cold. Dr. Romanoff's eyes dart to your pebbled skin, her lips parting slightly.
And then Wanda cups your breasts from behind you, whispering, "I'll start right now, okay?"
You can only manage a small nod.
Dr. Romanoff must've noticed the state you're in, because suddenly she's kneeling in front of you, tugging down your pants along with your underwear, humming at the sight of a string of your slick connecting to your panties.
You close your eyes in embarrassment.
She cups your face. "No need for that, angel. You're doing good."
You shudder at the tone of her voice, slurty and breathy. Having no idea on why your body is reacting this way, you lean back against Wanda, granting her more acces. She massages your breasts, kneading and tugging until you're left breathless.
Then, as quickly as she came, she pulls away and nudges you into the other woman's arms. Dr. Romanoff leads you to sit on the chair and you swallow your embarrassment when she spreads your legs and puts them on the knee rest, sliding between your legs on her rolling chair.
You look away, wincing.
"It's okay, sweetheart," Wanda whispers from your side, taking hold of your hand, "Natasha is best at what she's doing."
You breathe out.
You think her name fits her very well.
"How long does it usually take?" You ask, not daring to look away from Wanda.
Faint scraping noises sound around the room as Natasha writes something down in your chart, humming in thought. She hasn't touched you, not yet.
"Not long, usually, but you're here for a special reason, aren't you? So it's going to take a bit longer," Wanda says quietly.
You nod in understanding, finally looking down to meet Natasha's eyes. She's holding a speculum. You shudder, backing away. Wanda pins you in place with a strong grip on your shoulders.
"Please, don't. Can you use something else?" You ask. Biting down on your lip, you look at the redhead pleadingly. The last time a doctor used that thing on you, you were hurting for days.
"I don't think there's anything else I can use. I promise I'll be gentle," she tries to reassure you, but you shake your head no, gripping Wanda's hand fighter.
"Please, just use something else. There should be something else, right?" You plead.
Natasha's eyes flicker to Wanda, a silent question swimming in the emerald pools. After a tense moment she gives the younger woman a brief nod. She slides away and Wanda leaves your side, taking Natasha's place between your legs.
Dr. Romanoff takes hold of your face, gaining your attention. "My assistant needs some hands-on practice and this is a perfect occasion, since you're adamant about the speculum. You don't mind her using her fingers, do you?" She rubs your chin gently, coaxing you to agree.
You wet your lips, feeling your pussy clench in anticipation. Natasha's eyes follow your tongue, her pupils dilating. You nod your consent and Wanda wastes no time in spreading your folds open and teasing your entrance. Your hips jolt violently.
"Try to keep still, sweetheart, or we'll have to restrain you." Wanda fingers glide around your folds, barely grazing your clit and you're already drenched and gasping for air. "You're doing good so far, angel, keep it up." Wanda smiles softly, gently easing one of her fingers inside.
You bite back a moan, gripping the cushion below you with all of your strength. Natasha keeps taking notes, occasionally glancing down at your pussy and exchanging quiet words with Wanda.
Wanda's finger pumps into you at a gentle pace, hitting a soft spot deep inside of you.
You didn't even know you could feel that good.
When her finger curls you let out a loud moan. Your hand flies down to take hold of Wanda's, but it's intercepted by Natasha's, who pins you back down with surprising strength.
"You're not allowed to move, remember?" She scolds. You nod dumbly and relax in her hold. She nods in satisfaction and looks at Wanda. "One more."
Wanda obeys and slides two fingers in the next thrust, pushing down on your hips with her other hand. You try not to squirm, but your legs still shake from the way her fingers curl inside you. Your eyes begin to water as your stomach tightens, you feel like you're about to explode.
"How does that feel?" Natasha's whispers against the shell of your ear, her hair tickling your neck.
"G-good, so good," you whine, desperately clutching the chair.
"Mhm," she hums, putting her hands on either side of your breasts, rubbing the skin in soft circles. "You're taking Wanda so well, kotenok. Make me proud and hold it for me, okay?" She asks as her hands cup your breasts, pressing down on your nipples.
You don't have to ask to know what it means, you just shake your head desperately, not daring to touch her. Tears gather in the corners of your eyes, making your vision blur.
"Please, Natasha, pl- ah!" You cry out when Wanda adds another finger, stretching you out deliciously. She thrusts into you hard and fast, making your body move up on the chair. "I can't-" you bite down on your lip, pleading Natasha with your eyes. "Please, let me come."
The doctor chuckles with mirth, rolling your nipples between her defty fingers. "Stop."
Wanda pulls away immediately, making you whimper. You want to cry out, you want to tug her back, but you do none of these things, obediently laying back and waiting for Natasha's instructions.
You pussy clenches around nothing while Natasha takes her time stepping around you and taking Wanda's place, the younger woman coming to stand near your head, wiping her fingers.
"Natasha's gonna take a good look at your pussy, sweet girl, just don't move."
Dr. Romanoff's fingers slide in without any struggle, immediately making you whine and buckle your hips in her hold. She spreads her fingers inside you, opening you up even more and you feel like you're about to burst from the stretch. You moan loudly when she adds a third finger.
"Keep quiet," she says, pinching your inner thigh.
You swallow back moans as she starts circling your clit with her thumb, the added pressure sending shivers down your spine.
"Such a perfect body," Wanda murmurs, trailing her fingers down the length of your torso. "You deserve to be worshiped." She leans down and licks a long stripe from your ribs to the underside of your breast, sucking the tender skin there.
Your eyes roll to the back of your head, your fingers burying in her brown locks. She hums softly as her arm slides along your waist, holding you tight.
Natasha doesn't waste another second waiting and sets a rough pace, thrusting her finger deep and spreading them with each thrust. "Look at you, malyshka, your greedy pussy is swallowing my fingers," she smirks, bending down to kiss your inner thigh.
"Natasha!" You cry out loudly, your back arching. Lips wrap around your nipple, sucking gently, and you choke on your moan, your pussy clenching around Natasha's slender fingers.
"You're doing good, baby, so good," Wanda mumbles around the pebbled skin, "You deserve to be filled to the brim. Fuck, you'd look so pretty with both of us deep inside you, sweetheart."
Your hips buckle to meet Natasha's thrusts and this time she doesn't stop you. She curls her fingers, hitting a spot you didn't even know existed and you come, your orgasm hitting you hard as spots of white cloud your vision.
Natasha's fingers don't stop moving inside you, if anything she thrusts faster, rougher, your sensitive clit pulsing rapidly.
"We're not done until I say we're done, got it?" She leans down to wrap her lips around your bundle of nerves and sucks, fingers moving inside you with a violent pace.
Wanda releases your nipple with a wet pop and focuses her attention on your neck, teeth leaving purplish marks on the tender skin. You cry out, another orgasm fast approaching and Wanda pulls you into a bruising kiss, your moans disappearing between her full lips as Natasha licks long stripes up your slit.
"You're doing so good, baby. Fuck I want to make a mess of your pretty face, sweetheart," Wanda whines and takes hold of your hand, pushing it past the waistband of her scrubs. You follow her lead and soon your fingers disappear in her wet heat. She gasps and bends to rest her weight on you as you quickly pump your fingers inside her.
Natasha pulls away to admire the scene in front of her, fingers lazily circling your clit before she plunges four of her fingers back inside, stretching you to the brim. Your back arches as you moan loudly, clenching around slender fingers. Wanda comes with you, burrowing her face into your neck as you both come down your high, gasping for air.
Dr. Romanoff presses a kiss to your thigh before gently prying strands of hair away from your face. "We'll have to schedule a follow up appointment, kitten."

You guys are amazing!!
I have to say this has been fun so far, and playing around with everyone has been quite amazing. This chapter is a little intense, and Reader and Wanda are just getting closer and closer. Once again I hope you guys like this chapter, and my ask is open for whatever comments!
Words: 6,860
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5 - Part 7 - Part 8 - Part 9 - Part 10 - Epilogue
Part 6 - The conflict, the jealousy
The morning caught you and Wanda with a drizzle and cold wind.
This time around you had offered the young woman your favourite hoodie before taking her down to the lake. The warmth gust of air you could create was enough to keep the temperature just right to focus on your training. Wanda didn’t get a chance to see you the night before, but the young woman had melted when morning came and she discovered herself lying comfortably on the sofa in the common room with a warm blanket on top of her.
Without needing to ask, or confessing, Wanda knew you had been there the night before. Wanda had tried to wait for you, perhaps going back to watch her sitcoms in your company, but she had been tired and didn’t even notice when sleep claimed her. The blanket still smelled like you, and Wanda had come to her training with a smile on her face, eager to discover what the afternoon would bring.
“Perfect.” You mumbled nodding as Wanda slid her feet forward alongside her arm and hand. “Now learning this is all good and well, but I want you to start thinking about your breathing, about your power. At another moment you call upon it with just strong emotions, now you should be able to poke at it slowly.”
“”It’s difficult.” Wanda replied frowning, “do I breathe in a special way? How can you be sure of the amount of energy you need?”
You chuckled, cocking your head to the side, thinking over your questions. You came closer to the other woman standing right behind her while moulding your body to hers; in your mind there is only the training and the teaching part you were doing, nothing else crossed your thoughts. For Wanda however, the closeness was driving her mad. Her sore body tensed completely making her winced, though she almost faltered when your hands found hers, the warmth of your breath caressing her ear.
“Don’t think. That’s the first rule.” With only a tender probing you started moving alongside Wanda, directing her movements slowly, “take a deep breath and let it go slowly, there is no rush.”
Wanda was not completely sure she could breathe slowly, her heart was hammering against her chest and she was about to faint as you manipulated her movements with ease.
“Now close your eyes and think about your power.” you continued letting go of the contact but without moving from the spot you were in.
The position allowed for you to keep guiding Wanda’s hands, slowly and surely until the air around the both of you charged unhurriedly with electricity and sparks of red. You smiled in triumph knowing Wanda had finally understood the exercise, without thinking about it your hands placed themselves on her waist which made Wanda jerked around and tripped over you losing her balance almost hitting her head on your nose.
In that instant, a lot of things happened.
You opened your eyes watching as Wanda staggered towards you, in your eagerness to help you lost your footing on the muddy terrain and the both of you fell to the ground. You heard the grunt of pain from Wanda and you winced at the sharp discomfort on your left wrist as you tried to hold yourself up.
Wanda’s throat went completely dry as you straddle her making a face at the mess the both of you were in.
“Sorry, I didn’t notice my foot was so deep in the puddle.” You eyed the woman under you with concern, “did you hit your head?”
“Is this a new form of training you’re trying out, Y/N?”
Your eyes opened wide as you realised the position the both of you were in, Natasha tinged her tone with some light amusement however as soon as you locked eyes with the other woman you knew she was anything but amused.
“I fell down.” you tried to explain lameley while standing up missing the disappointed look from Wanda, “and we fell.”
“Obviously.” Natasha rolled her eyes making her way towards you, her hand was warm against your left wrist while her brows knitted in concern. “You hurt your wrist, better tend to it before starting your training with Sam.”
“Aw, don’t worry, Nat.” You offered a half grin at the woman who can help but smile back. “I won’t do anything stupid like that.”
Natasha hummed, shaking her head, you turned around offering your right hand to Wanda to help her up. The brunette took it biting her lower lip, much like the day before when you helped her out Wanda ended up a breath away from you. Her cheeks burned lightly as her eyes met yours, the concern was still present in your eyes just as her left hand lifted to move away a strand of hair.
“You okay, Little Witch?” You took a step back, tilting your head and glancing over at the young woman.
“Yeah, just sore.” She replied, lifting her green eyes to meet the burning glare coming from Natasha.
“Then I guess, our training time is over.” You stepped aside glancing at Natasha then at Wanda, “You can go ahead and clean up a little. We will follow.”
Wanda hesitated but nodded, turning around and leaving you and Natasha behind, the spy shot you a curious stare that you didn’t return until you made sure Wanda was out of earshot.
“How are you?” You approached Natasha placing a hand on her arm, the woman lowered her gaze trying to conceal her emotions behind a hardened facade.
“I’m good, why?” She asked in turn, you just shrugged looking away.
“This last week has been erratic.” You shrugged, bumping against her with a teasing smile, “I miss my training partner, and our late conversations.”
“That’s all that you missed?” Natasha couldn’t help but ask, you opened your eyes in surprise before your lips broke into a smile.
“I miss my friend, Tasha.” You replied choosing your words carefully, Natasha had her eyes on you and the intensity of her stare made you think there was something else to these conversations.
“And I missed being with you, but the other day you left it clear that this conversation was something you didn’t want.” Natasha leaned in until her lips were on yours, you frowned and after a while you answered kissing the woman back holding back until you stopped the rush behind Natasha’s actions.
As soon as your hand placed itself in her waist, and your kiss turned tender she broke the contact stepping back.
“And you still are not ready for that conversation.” You let out a heavy sighed wincing as your left wrist started hurting.
“We better go, Wanda is waiting.” Natasha all but spat out turning around without looking back at you.
For a brief moment you rolled your eyes glancing at the sky, a single thought dancing in your head.
Why did it have to be su fucking complicated?
______________________________________________________________
The second day of training with Natasha ended up being worse than the first.
Wanda was already sore from the day before, but the older woman was not about to get soft with Wanda. What had started like a good morning was soon turning out to be a rough one, and Wanda couldn’t help but think this was the result of Natasha finding her and Y/N in a compromising position.
It hadn't been anyone's fault, and Wanda didn't even plan it. If she was going to be honest, she was still shaking at the memory of  Y/N’s body right above hers after the both of you fell down; Y/N it had been comforting in a way, even after Wanda hit her head and was sore all over. The young woman couldn’t help but smile at the memory, and that moment of distraction cost her dearly.
"You're distracted again, Maximoff." The coldness in Natasha's voice was unmistakable, the older woman approached Wanda scolding the witch. “Again, from the beginning and this time around try to not distract yourself.”
Wanda sat down, she was seething clenching her fists while taking deep breaths. It was humiliating for her not being able to best Natasha in a fight. The young woman knew if she were to use her powers this wouldn't even be a contest, Wanda had demonstrated this back in the shipyard where she got access to the deepest pain and secrets behind Black Widow's mind. If she could use them, this fight would have been over a long time ago.
An unpleasant twist settled in Wanda’s heart. Guilt. She stood up looking away from Natasha. Wanda knew, even in the deepest part of her anger and annoyance towards Natasha, she couldn’t do it. She was not a monster. She wasn’t evil.
"Anger won't help you win, Wanda." Natasha stepped aside glaring at the woman that was now glaring openly at her, "stop being childish and come at me like Steve taught you."
"I'm not being childish." Wanda replied standing up, "but you, Agent Romanoff, seemed to hold a grudge against me. And I have to wonder why."
Both women stood face to face in the middle of the room, the music filling up the silence and drowning the sounds of another training session happening close by. Natasha didn’t break eye contact as she made her way towards Wanda, the brunette stiffened getting ready for whatever might happen.
"I don't like people snooping around memories that should be private," Natasha finally said, letting out the reproach she had been holding ever since the both of them crossed paths. "Your powers can be dangerous, but for someone like me, they could be deathly."
Wanda shifted uncomfortably, she broke the stare with the other woman knowing full well which memories she was referring to. Whatever Wanda had seen, she couldn't help but feel sorry for what Natasha had lived. It didn't justify her current behaviour, but Wanda could understand the initial animosity.
"Your anger, however, must be for a different reason, am I right?" Natasha said all of a sudden, her lips curling in a knowing smirk giving Wanda  a quick glance before her eyes drifted the improvised ring at the other end of the room.
Y/N was breathing hard, nose crunched up fighting Sam with a set of punches and kicks. Y/N was favouring her right hand, and while the fighting looked intense it was quite obvious that Y/N and Sam were enjoying their easy banter in the midst of the fight.
Wanda gasped, her eyes darkening slightly, Natasha closed to her.
"Are you jealous, Little Witch? Knowing I have seen her sweaty, and undone under different circumstances?"
Wanda clenched her jaw pushing Natasha away from her, her fighting stance changing just as Natasha’s smirk grew. This ought to be fun.
______________________________________________________________
Sam punched you straight on your jaw making you staggered backwards until you fell on your ass.
"Shit! Y/N, are you okay? The hell happened to you?" Sam knelt down, giving you a critical stare. "I hope that doesn't leave a bruise or Romanoff is going to eat me alive."
You swapt the man's hand rolling your eyes, Sam offered a half smirk when he was satisfied with the lack of bruises on your face. The both of you stood up to see the women at the other side of the training room going at it with an intensity you had never seen before.
"What the hell is this?" Sam exclaimed, turning to you who merely shrugged frowning.
"Shall we…" You started but Sam opened his eyes wide, lifting his arms while shaking his head.
"Hell no! You never get in the way of a Black Widow, and certainly not in this kind of fight."
Sam noticed your reaction, he narrowed his eyes slightly before turning his attention back to the fight going on at the other end of the room. The Falcon had heard of the relationship between Y/N and Natasha, everyone knew they were going at it in private. And that was alright, everyone deserves someone to have fun once in a while; but Romanoff had been quite protective of Y/N whenever conversations turned to Y/N and her future inside the Avengers and SHIELD.
It had been strange, but little by little the team had come to the same conclusion.
Now, Sam was not that knowledgeable in relationships, and certanly not in how Romanoff worked or what the hell was the deal with you, but he suspected Romanoff thought of you more than a simple fuck buddy.
Which would be all nice and hot, if it wasn't for the newest addition to the team.
The rumour was Wanda Maximoff had taken a liking at you. And according to Stark and Pepper, it seemed as if it was more than a friendly interested.
"Fuck!" Before Sam could do or say anything you went right ahead to intervene.
The man watched everything in slow motion hoping Friday was recording everything, Steve would never believe what was happening at the moment.
______________________________________________________________
“It looks to me, Agent Romanoff, that you are jealous.” Wanda finally spat out after having received a hit on her temple.
Natasha wore a split lip, her eyes burning with raw emotions she was not used to experiencing. Both women were breathing hard, sweat rolling down their faces while glaring at one another; before either of them could continue with the fight you got there separating them with a gush of wind coming from your hands.
You stood right in the middle glaring at the both of them, your eyes went from the split lip Natasha wore to the cut on Wanda's eyebrow.
"What the hell is going on in here?" You turned enraged eyes to Natasha who held your stare in defiance, then you glared at Wanda who decided to look away.
"We were training." Natasha replied while straightening herself up. "Nothing that you haven't done with me before."
You scowled at the spy shaking your head "I think that's enough for today, then."
Natasha clenched her jaw, her lips curling in a tersed smile.
"As you wish, dear."
The Black Widow turned around storming out of the training room. You hesitated for a moment, facing Wanda you placed your hands on her shoulders, your eyes softening slightly.
"Are you okay?" The question was soft, and Wanda swallowed down her emotions and her words as she nodded.
"Good. I… I'll be right back."
You left to follow Natasha ignoring the broken state of the young witch that followed you until you disappeared behind the door of the training room.
Sam whistled shaking his head, now this was better than any soup opera or teen drama he had seen so far on TV.
______________________________________________________________
"Hey! Nat!" You caught up to the other woman grabbing her by her wrist, Natasha stopped abruptly jerking her hand away while turning to face you with a deathly glare.
"What?"
You took a step back frowning at her reaction, for a brief moment the both of you breathed hard in the empty hall. Her eyes were burning with anger and something else, something you couldn't recognize.
"What happened back there?" You finally asked tilting your head, you hesitated before lifting your hand to her lip.
Natasha closed her eyes trembling under the tenderness of your touch, when she opened them your eyes were on her waiting for an answer.
"We were training."
"You were kicking each other's ass." You corrected your lips.
"She was trying." Natasha retorted through her teeth, you pressed your lips before you could say something.
"Right, that didn't look very friendly." You continued your fingertips wiping away some blood cupping her cheek tenderly, concern evident in your eyes.
"It was nothing. I need to take a bath, and I need to be alone." Natasha finally confessed stepping away from your touch.
You nodded in understanding, you locked your eyes to hers your hand twitching at your side.
“Nat, I…I’ll be here when you’re ready to talk.” It was obvious you were not about to let go of this conversation, and Natasha knew she couldn’t keep pretending this was getting out of control.
“I know.” Natasha stepped back then, as an afterthought, she came forth leaning in brushing her lips against yours in a tender gesture she had never shown you before.
At least not when this weird relationship between you two was concerned.
“Thank you, Y/N.” Natasha whispered, turning around and disappearing behind the door of her room.
You were making your way back to the training room but as soon as you took a few steps you came face to face with Wanda. The young woman was not better than Natasha, she looked tired and heavily beaten with a single line of blood coming from her eyebrow.
Wanda tensed when her eyes found yours, and you softened slightly approaching her slowly.
"Are you going to tell me what happened?" You asked knowing you wouldn't get lucky with Wanda either.
She stood with tension evident in her posture. Her arms crossed glaring at a spot behind you.
"Nothing, we were training."
"So you're not going to talk either?" You couldn’t help the annoyance in your tone, you stepped closer to the young woman who stepped back looking away.
You paused considering your options, then as an afterthought you stepped closer until you had the young woman against the wall. Wanda closed her eyes when your fingertips touched the wound on her eyebrow softly. You purse your lips observing the cut there, the tension evident on Wanda’s face as if she was waiting for something.
“You two have some serious issues I would love to know about.” You finally spoke, letting out a sigh. “Do you need something?”
Wanda gulped, shaking her head while moving away from your reach, “no, I think I’ll have a bath and then…”
“Are we going out later on?” You blurted out expectantly.
Wanda shrugged making her way to her room, “I’m not sure…I’m not…in the mood to go out today.”
“Okay.” Stepping back, you tried to hide your disappointment, Wanda opened her mouth to say something but then turned around and went into her room.
You were left alone in the middle of the hall, a pulsating pain going from your temple down your neck. These two women were driving you crazy, and you really need a nice cold beer. And afterwards, you needed to make some hard decisions.
______________________________________________________________
You were waiting with your back resting against the wall.
The midday sun was replaced by a group of heavy clouds gliding right above your head, you didn’t want to look at your clock but you were pretty sure in a couple of minutes you would know if Wanda read your note and accepted the invitation. The fluttering of your heart intensified, and all of a sudden there was a heavy weight settling on your abdomen. You really hated waiting when all you had before you was uncertainty.
You knew she told you she didn’t want to come, and while it would hurt if she didn’t come you were also hoping whatever the hell happened during the training session wasn’t about to tamper on your time with her.
By the gods, you hoped everything was easier. That you had a set of instructions that told you what you should do and what was happening around you.
You let out a sigh, fixing your shirt and jacket while waiting for the young witch. Today was supposed to be a day off for the both of you, the first time you would be on your own without any of the Avengers or any agent of SHIELD following your every step. And you just wanted you and her to enjoy that, you knew she hadn’t left the compound since she got there and while she might not look like it Wanda, just like you, needed to get away for a little while.
The alarm from your watch broke into your thoughts, your heart dropped when you realised you were still alone. You were about to leave when the sound of footsteps stopped you dead on your tracks.
The world slowed down the moment you saw Wanda coming towards you. She had let her hair down, waves of dark hair falling down her back contrasting with the red leather jacket and the dark make-up on her face and a bright red on her lips contrasting beautifully with her shade of skin. She came in wearing a black dress with knee-high socks and black chunky boots, it was as if she had chosen her wardrobe with utter care to look beautiful but also daring.
She approached you with a shy smile, her hands wriggling around playing with the rings she usually wore. You pushed from the wall walking towards her with your eyes unable to stay still, you checked her up locking your eyes with hers noticing the soft blush on her cheeks.
“Wow, you look nice.” You finally found your voice tilting your head, “now I’m jealous, Maximoff, did you accept because you were betting on getting lucky today?”
Your comment was supposed to be a joke, it wasn’t meant to flirt but the innuendo in your voice was hardly missed by the other woman who turned her head to the side hiding away.
“I thought you said this was a friendly date.” Wanda finally said facing you with more bravery than she actually felt.
“I won’t leave you to go after anyone else, that wouldn’t be too friendly on my part, would it be?” You replied, enjoying the coy smile on the other woman’s face.
“I was counting on you being by my side all afternoon, actually.” Then as an afterthought, “perhaps getting lucky and coming home with you.”
Wanda smiled satisfied watching the blush adorning your cheeks, after a moment of silence you chuckled in disbelief.
“I walk into that one.” You fixed your jacket, your lips curled in a mischievous smirk catching Wanda checking you out.
Wanda narrowed her eyes at you as you put your hand on your pocket, slowly you pulled out a set of black keys the other woman was eyeing warily.
“So, since we’re going to the city, I thought we could go in style.”
“What did you do?” Wanda asked.
You started walking backwards with a teasing smile on your lips, Wanda couldn’t help but follow you until you stopped right beside the black Audi Stark had left early in the parking lot.
“I just borrowed these keys, nothing bad.”
“You stole them.” Wanda replied, crossing her arms. “From Tony.”
“Stole, borrow…semantics.” You shrugged, winking at the witch who was trying to hold back her smile. “Come on, Little Witch, we deserve this.”
Wanda hesitated for a second, but whatever resolution she had soon went flying out of the window the moment you grabbed her hand and opened the passenger door for her. Your hand was warm under hers, your eyes gleaming with a strange light that cut her breath away and without any more words she went into the car with you going in right after her.
“Where are we going?” She finally asked, turning her head towards you.
“You’ll see.” You started the car shooting Wanda a quick glance, “as I told you, we deserve this day so we’re going to enjoy it to the max.”
Wanda leaned against the window, her lips curling slightly as you started the radio and took down the road leading to the city.
______________________________________________________________
Wanda put a hand on her mouth, it was quite evident she was hiding her laughter though her shoulders were shaking and her eyes gleaming with amusement. You rolled your eyes though you could hardly hide your smile either.
The day had been quite a success so far and you two had enjoyed greatly what the city had to offer in food and entertainment. Wanda had been just as excited as you were when you saw the fair going on in one of the parks around midtown, the games and the different attractions were out of every movie you and her had enjoyed at some point.
Everything was just perfect until two men decided you two needed their company.  The situation would have gone smoothly with you two merely stepping away, but Wanda noticed your reaction. The subtle changes in your posture, how close you were to her, the flash of annoyance in your eyes when one of the guys decided to put his hand on Wanda’s shoulder trying to get closer than was probably necessary.
The witch didn't want to get her hopes up, but perhaps you were really jealous or at least annoyed at getting your time together interrupted. Wanda had struggled to not get inside your head just to satiate her curiosity, but it wasn't as if she needed it. As soon as Wanda allowed the flirting from the guys and invited them over to play a few games with them Wanda was quite sure you were seeing red.
Hence the situation you two found yourselves in at the moment, the shooting game was full of moving targets and the prices were quite simple though fun. The guy that had been trying to impress Wanda decided he would get her the black ring with silver by shooting the most difficult targets. The game operator had laughed, warning him that it was almost impossible to win.
“Oh, but I really like the ring.” Wanda all but pouted, placing a hand on the guy.
You wished the burning in your mind would stop, and that you could control the boiling anger growing inside you. Your eyes crossed with those of Wanda, while the man puffed out his chest paying up; with a snort you put a ten dollar bill and placed it in the game operator’s hand.
The guy flirting with Wanda scoffed, “are you sure you even know how to shoot?”
“No, I don’t, but you never know, today may be my lucky day.” You answer giving a dumb smile to the man.
Ten minutes later and the two college guys and the game operator were glancing at you dumbfounded, you smiled innocently at them grabbing the rifle by the cannon as if you really didn’t have any idea of how all the targets were hit without too much of an effort.
“How…How did you do that?” One of them asked frowning at you, you blinked away innocently.
“I’m not sure.” You replied, shaking your head, “are you sure this game isn’t rigged?”
“No! You can’t cheat on something like this!” The other guy exclaimed, still glancing at the rifle and you.
The game operator gave you the prize before taking the weapon from you and indicating other games. You grabbed Wanda by her hand shooting a cute smile to the two guys waving slowly.
“Wow, this was fun but we gotta go…” before either of them could do or say something you dragged a laughing Wanda down one alley then towards the parking lot.
You seemed quite enchanted by the laughter coming from the young woman, it was the very first time you saw her so carefree. There was no tension around her eyes, or the dim light in her stare, if anything she seemed content.
“What is it?” Wanda took a breath, the smile still present on her lips.
“Nothing just…” You swallowed down the words that wanted to leave your mouth. “I think it’s time to actually go to the tea house.”
“That sounds perfect, I think I need something warm.” Wanda replied, rubbing her hands. “You really left those guys confused and the old man angry after winning all those toys.”
“Oh come on! They are lucky I didn’t break their noses.” You started the car again.
Wanda leaned to her left, getting closer to you, “and why would you do that?”
You let the music washed over the silence in the car, you could feel Wanda’s stare on you waiting for you to confesse the reason why you tortured and teased those guys until you left them there to pay for the ten extra targets you hit while you ran away with the girl and the winnings. Wanda shifted on the chair waiting for you to say something, to pull her out of her misery.
“He wasn’t really interested in your personality, and certainly was giving you a look that set the alarms in my head on overdrive.” You finally said trying to sound nonchalant and quite interested in Wanda’s well-being.
The young witch said nothing, though the smile she wore the whole ride was enough for you to know she knew the real reason behind your actions.
By the time you made your way to the tea house the place was packed and it was impossible to move past the entrance. You could see Wanda was disappointed, the day was getting to an end and the fact you wouldn’t be drinking tea until night arrived meant you would be back at the compound earlier than expected.
“Stay here.”
You left the car before Wanda could react or say something, the young woman waited for more than ten minutes. She was getting restless ready to leave the car and go looking for you until she saw you balancing a tray with two big cups and a single paper bag.
“Y/N, what is that?” Wanda helped you out by receiving the paper bag and tray, the smell of warm jasmine tea reaching her nostrils.
“Tea, of course.” You replied sitting down on the chair, “but don’t drink it yet, we’re going to enjoy this delicacy at the best spot of the whole city.”
Wanda raised an eyebrow at you, but she followed your orders and placed the tray on her legs watching as you started the car again and took it down the road leading to the exit of the city. In less than twenty minutes you had reached the limit of the city, turning to the left driving down a wooded road. Wanda entertained herself with the sight, her heart was beating so hard against her chest she was afraid you would hear it at any moment, her mind going over and over to all the things the both of you had enjoyed while together.
The lunch and the walk down the streets of the city, the conversation about small things, her memories of her own life back in Sokovia or your life back in your world. The shopping you did in the stores, all the things they had done had led to this last moment in between the end of the day and the beginning of the night, you had parked the car right at the side of the road leading to a hill where the city was visible in its full splendour.
“You know the tea is cold, right?” Wanda couldn’t help the amusement in her tone when you were to grab your cup.
You made a face grabbing yours and her drink in your hands, “that’s not right, tea must be drunk warm.”
Wanda observed as you grabbed the cups and with a flash of white you handed the cup back to Wanda, the young woman gasped in surprise shooting you a quick glance before trying to take a sip from her beverage.
“How did you do it?”
You shrugged, winking at her before sitting down at the edge of the hill, “magic, Ms. Maximoff, comes in all forms.”
“You know at some point you will need to tell me how you do it, right?”
“Ah, but until then I will have fun driving you crazy.” You replied, bumping lightly against her.
Wanda rolled her eyes, focusing her attention to the city before her, it was the first time she allowed herself to forget or at least to not drown in the memories of Pietro, her parents, Sokovia. The wounds were still there, but she was giving into the healing process or at least that was what she liked to think was happening.
Your eyes wandered around the lights and forms of the city, you took a deep breath lifting your eyes to the sky.
“Thank you, Y/N.” Wanda spoke softly, following your eyes to the sky. “This is one of the best days of my life.”
You turned to Wanda but her eyes were glued to the sky.
“I’m glad you enjoy it, Wanda.” You took a long sip from your tea before speaking again, “I think you deserve to heal, you know? And to move on, without having the weight of the world on your shoulders.”
“Like you?” Wanda inquired tilting her head to glance at you, you smiled nodding.
“Like me.”
Silence fell between the both of you, you finished your drink putting the paper bag and offering its contents to Wanda first. The young woman grabbed the muffin there, softening at the gesture.
“I don’t know how it happened, you know?” You started speaking all of a sudden, your voice filled with memory. “I just woke up here one day and…I couldn’t leave. And I tried to go back, over and over but…”
Wanda felt a twisting knife in her heart hearing you speak, the thought of you leaving forever to go back to your world made her miserable. Not only because she didn’t want you gone, but because she was being selfish wishing you could stay.
“Now I’m not so sure I want to go back.” The confession left your mouth surprising you as much as it surprised Wanda.
“Perhaps, you were meant to come here.” Wanda offered tentatively, “I’m sorry, I know you must miss your family and…”
“My girlfriend?” You cocked your head chuckling, Wanda’s face fell nodding.
You let out a heavy sigh, “I did at the beginning, but now…I mean, we never formalised what we had. We thought we had time. We obviously didn’t, and I couldn’t ask her to wait for me, just as I couldn’t wait for her. I’ve been here for more than a year, Wanda, I don’t think I will go back to my world anytime soon.”
“But if you were to go back…or meet her here…” Wanda let the question in the air, then she shook her head offering an apologetic stare at you. “Sorry, I shouldn’t ask this.”
You purse your lips shrugging, “nothing is the same, I wouldn’t search for her in here and even if I go back, it’s been too long, Wanda. Whatever I felt for her is different now.”
Wanda lowered her gaze furrowing her brows, her legs swinging slowly as she pondered your words. She almost jumped out of her skin when your hand grabbed hers, you offered a strange stare smiling at her.
“I made peace with this a long time ago, Wanda. But from time to time, I do think about it.” You didn’t let go of her hand, though you returned your attention back to the sky. “And I wouldn’t change anything in my life now that I got to be here and…get to meet so many people. People that are pretty important to me right now.”
You confused without saying anything further, Wanda bit her lower lip with fluttering butterflies in her chest and stomach. The moment extended far too long, and tension was quite palpable around them, a tension Wanda was afraid to break the way she wanted.
“What’s your most embarrassing memory?” Wanda blurted out all of a sudden, your eyes went wide at the question and the young woman smirked, raising an eyebrow at you.
“What?!”
“Yes! Tell me, what’s your most embarrassing memory?” She repeated the question, her heart almost leaving her chest, her hand trembling under yours.
“I’m not going to tell you.” You replied, chuckling while shaking your head. “You’re mad if you think I’m going to give you any kind of arsenal against me.”
“Oh, come on!” Wanda offered a bashful smile, “I can tell you mine”
You weighed your options for a long time before jerking your head in agreement, “very well, Maximoff, you’re on.”
______________________________________________________________
Night had already fallen by the time you two got to the Avenger’s compound.
Your laughter filled the empty halls, trying to hold back your amusement until a spark of red hit you in the face.
“Hey!”
“I told you to stop laughing.” Wanda tried to sound stern but the grin on her face was not so convincing, you chuckled shrugging.
“It was funny. I really think you have a future as a make-up artist.” You replied following Wanda until the both of you reached the door of her room, Friday had lowered the intensity of the lights in the hall and you realised Wanda was looking stunning with her grin fixed on her face.
“Of course you think it’s funny, I'm starting to think you like the stories in which I am making a fool of myself.” Wanda rolled her eyes pressing her back against the door of her room, swallowing down when she noticed your closeness. If she were to lean in, to put her hands on your waist…
“I love them, yes.” You admitted shrugging, you stepped back a little, missing the flash of disappointment in the witch’s face. Your hand goes inside your pocket, eyes opening wide as you put the ring you had won for Wanda. “Look what I have in here.”
Wanda opened her eyes pleasantly surprised, you put your hand away, your eyes gleaming mischievously when Wanda pouted at you.
“You said you won it for me.” She tried to convince you, but you just shook your head.
“Nu-uh, I said I will win it, never said I will give it to you.” You laughed cocking your head. “Tell you what, what can you give me in exchange for such an exquisite prize?”
The world froze around you, Wanda was not even thinking when her hands placed themselves around your waist and she leaned in. Her lips warm and soft, brushing the corner of your mouth, a featherlike kiss that lasted more than was probably necessary. You could not move or even react, but you could hear the beating of your heart just as you heard the gasp from Wanda.
“So, do I get the ring?” Wanda all but whispered, locking her eyes with yours.
You swallowed down blinking a couple of times, then trying to shake away your dizziness you grabbed Wanda’s hand putting the ring on her forefinger.
“You can have it, Wanda.” You smiled at her, placing a kiss on her hand. “Good night.”
Wanda watched the ring for a long time, her grin covering her face as she entered her room, her heart still beating fast after the kiss.
______________________________________________________________
“Jesus!” You jumped startled at the sight of Natasha resting on your bed in the middle of the darkened room, the woman sat down raising a single eyebrow at you. “Natasha, you scare me! What are you doing here?”
“Waiting for you.” She said softly. “How did it go with Wanda? Did you have fun?”
You frowned at the questions, you stepped inside your room taking off your jacket tossing it to the closest chair. Natasha scowled at you, but you ignored her while sitting beside her.
“It was nice, I had a nice time.” You placed a hand on Natasha’s thigh, the young woman tensed but otherwise didn’t move. “How is your lip?”
Natasha let out a smile looking back at you to show her split lip. You let your thumb caress the skin around it, pressing your lips together.
“Well, it’s healing.” Your comment made her snort, easing the tension in her body.
Natasha took a deep breath ready to have the dreading conversation when her eyes fell on something in your face. The spy hated how her heart just broke, how whatever she had come to say shattered around her at the simplest of details you seemed to be unaware of.
As always, sometimes you were smart, and sharp and witty and some others…innocent, clueless. God how she hated the fact those were the qualities she loved the most about you.
With a bitter smile Natasha moved away from you.
“I see you really did have a nice time.” Natasha stood up as fast as her training allowed it, she made her way towards the gate glaring at you before leaving.
Natasha left without any more explanations and you just fell on your bed with a growing headache and more confusion than anything else.
“Have a good night, Y/N.” You were left there without a single explanation and by the way she left you knew it wouldn’t be wise to follow just yet.
“Damn, Tasha….” You stood up making your way to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
Once the light turns on your eyes fall on a single red mark placed right beside your mouth. Red lipstick. The same shade Wanda used, you clenched your eyes shut with a growing headache attacking your senses.
“Jesus Fucking Christ.” You mumbled knowing you were in deep trouble.
What would you do now with Natasha and Wanda?
Because, you really couldn't ignore what was happening any longer. And it was quite evident, you would need to make a decision sometime soon before this exploded and someone got even more hurt.

Nat, she told you to call her.
The woman whose taste still stains your lips, whose touch still burns your skin and voice still purrs in your memory. The woman whose bed you wake naked in, with her arms snaked around your waist.
She’s warm in a way that makes you think, for a moment as you wake, that this is familiar. You’re more comfortable than you’ve been in months, her bed plush but firm enough to support you and the gentle ache of your body after her extensive ministrations the night before.
The sun has long risen, and shines through her window in such a way that the room is bathed in radiant golden hues. You turn a little, still half-drunk on sleep, and take in the sight of Nat as she sleeps soundly. You know you should get up while you can, leave without the awkward goodbyes that follow a one night stand, but her skin is so soft and her arm such a comfort around your waist that you feel wholly stuck in place. You wonder if you could get away with closing your eyes and drifting off for a few more minutes.
“Better not be thinking about leaving me,” her voice breaks the morning silence. You turn your head and meet her eyes, tired and heavy with sleep but still boring into yours under the morning gold.
You offer her a gentle smile. “Go back to sleep,” you hum. “I’ll get out of your hair and call you later, yeah?”
You aren’t sure you even have her number saved in your phone, or where your phone is, for that matter. Despite the pang in your chest at the thought of never crossing paths with Nat again, you take the high road and move to get out of bed. Her arm tightens around your waist before you get the chance.
“Nope,” she mumbles, pulling you into her body. Skin against skin, it brings back memories of the night before that you doubt you’ll rid the taste from your lips. Nat manages to press a kiss to your collarbone. “I’m not done with you.”
She kisses you again, and again, peppering open mouthed kisses across the expanse of your chest, each time eliciting a shiver in their wake.
Your judgement isn't clouded by alcohol anymore, you can feel each trace of her lips like fire against your skin as she trails soft kisses up the column of your neck. Every breath sends your blood rushing south. You can barely manage the words you speak, drunk once again with desire.
“I thought…” you gasp when she bites at your pulsepoint. “You said last night was a one time thing.”
Nat pulls away to look at you with raised eyebrows, you grieve the loss of contact. “You think I tell the truth when I’m drunk?”
She traces a nail down your bare chest, underneath the sheet that covers the two of you, tracing invisible designs against your rib cage until your skin feels impossibly tight. You’re lost for words again, and she takes advantage of the moment, pressing a chaste kiss to the corner of your lips.
“Stay, and let me taste you again,” her tone is steady. “Or get out of my bed, you gorgeous piece of shit, and make breakfast.”
Your mind betrays you, throws away all rules and notions of a one-night-stand and moves your body on your behalf. You’re catching her lips in a kiss before you can register the hand that slips from your stomach to your thigh. You taste alcohol, and the remnants of a cigarette you barely remember her slipping out of your arms to smoke on the balcony. She takes your bottom lip between her teeth and bites down, shooting the most beautiful pain right from your lips down to your pulsing core.
Her grip is strong on your leg, fingers digging into the flesh of your thigh as if she’s trying to stake her claim on you. It’s a feeling that drives lust through you like electricity: the notion of being desired, owned. When she pulls the sheet off of the both of you and climbs over your naked frame, you feel like a woeful miscreant for ever thinking of leaving this bed. Your heart beats so hard it almost hurts. You wonder if, when her mouth latches onto one of your peaked nipples, she can feel the thrum of your heart against her lips.
“God,” starved, she presses a kiss to your other breast. “I should tie you to this bed, keep you here until you’re too fucked out to remember your own name.”
“Nat—” you try, entranced by whatever spell she’s washing over you. Her kisses trail down your stomach.
“That’s right,” she groans against your hip bone. “Let me make you mine.”
“Yes,” you vocalise your consent, but Nat tuts.
“Say please.”
“Please.”
With not even a second to spare, Nat is delving between your thighs for a taste of your lust. She groans against your pussy, already high off the taste she’s gotten, and latches her lips onto your clit in an assault fueled by need and need alone. She’s a woman with a mission, and you feel dizzy with desire for more already. You want her inside of you, her body as tightly pressed against yours as she can manage. You ache for every inch of her. For everything.
For now, though, she does what she knows you need. Your hand snakes down to grab at her red hair as her tongue works violently against your clit until you’re a writhing mess beneath her.
Once you’re close enough to the edge that you’re seeing stars, Nats scalp must burn from the stress of your pulling. Trying anything to get closer, become one with the woman so pussydrunk she’s moaning against your clit like she’s the one being unravelled.
Being as coy as she is, however, you can feel her smile against your pussy as you come close to orgasm. Just as your toes curl and a sobbed moan starts to break from your chest, Nat pulls away and leaves you bucking your hips into the air for any semblance of stimulation. You could cry.
“Had to punish you somehow for thinking you could sneak away,” Nat pushes herself up to your face, you can see a gloss of your arousal coating her lips and chin from her messy ministrations. “Sorry.”
You’re about to comment, through babbled words, that she doesn’t sound sorry when her lips meet yours once more. The kiss is messy and harsh, your teeth click together and tongues meet and you can taste yourself. She is one to share, after all. The taste of your lust mixed with the intoxicant of her lips is almost enough for you to forgive her for your ruined orgasm. Almost.
When Nat pulls away, wiping her lips with the back of her hand to maintain at least a little composure, she catches your frown and mirrors it with her own.
“What’s wrong?” She pouts, her tone mocking in a way that makes your body ache to be filled by her.
“You know what’s wrong.”
Her frown fades, and her replacing smile worsens your ache. Her chest heaves with laboured breath as Nat repositions herself, straddling one of your thighs and lowering herself against your skin.
She must have gotten off on your taste alone, because she’s wetter than you’d think reasonable. A slut for servicing you, it seems.
You lay in silence, looking breathlessly up at the woman from the bar as she starts ever so slowly rocking her hips. The sharp inhale as her clit grinds against your skin, made easy by her arousal that coats your thigh. Part of you wants to take control, grab Nat's beautiful hips and hold her down against your thigh as she rides you until her vision is tunnelled and blood boiling. The other part of you, the part that wins, can’t move an inch at the sight of the redhead using your body as nothing but a tool to get herself off with.
The sweetest of moans fall from her lips and into the air around you, a song of pleasure you doubt you’ll ever forget. You think if this goes on long enough, you could come from the sight alone: how her body moves as she rides your thigh, the bounce of her peaked breasts as her pace quickens and sounds get louder and skin gets hotter. If you’ve died and gone to heaven, you pray there’s no such thing as resurrection.
The jolts in Nats movement are a testament to her impending orgasm, she’s close, and you can tell. You almost want to buck her off you as payback for ruining your orgasm just before, but every thought of revenge is washed clean from your mind when she reaches down and slips two fingers inside of you without warning.
“You’re gonna come for me,” she bites, hips rocking against your thigh at an ungodly pace. “You’re going to come with me.”
It’s no request. It’s an order.
Nats fingers are skilled, she scissors them inside of you and circles your clit in tandem with her thumb. It’s a celestial experience, the devotion of her fingers inside of you, curling to meet your g-spot as she abuses your clit in the same motion. The sight of her losing herself as she rides your thigh to the end of her sanity— the mess of her hair and glaze of her eyes as he watches you.
“Come.”
All it takes is a word, and you’re coming unmoored beneath Nat. Black spots flood your vision as you drool a string of ‘thank you’ into the sex-heavy air. Nat shakes against your thigh, so deep in her own orgasm that she doesn’t bother to pull her fingers out of you, working on muscle memory.
You just reach the brink of tears, overstimulated as Nat returns to her right mind. You’d bet on giving her the satisfaction of pulling another orgasm from you, but she comes right and pulls her fingers away just in time to let you breathe.
The sun's golden morning glow has since passed, you aren’t sure how long you’ve been away in Nirvana. Nat brings her fingers to her mouth and licks them clean, a pornographic sight that has your glossy eyes wide. Sweat coats both of your skin, breath shared between you are laboured and heavy, and the sun seems cold in comparison to the heat of your skin.
Nat rolls off you, leaving a glistening mess on your thigh and a cold loss at her missing heat against you. When she speaks, her voice is quiet and gentle. “You were perfect.”
Another kiss as she leans over and pecks your lips. A goodbye kiss, maybe— or a ‘thank you’. She moves away, swings her legs over the side of her bed to get up and rub at her eyes, sleep still plagues her.
“I’ll uh, get you some water and find where I threw your clothes last night,” she hums. “The shower is just through those doors, if you—-”
Natasha Romanoff is stitched silent by the hand that grabs her wrist, and the body that climbs over to straddle her lap. Your eyes, dark as they look down at her and lift her chin to force her gaze. The low words you speak by her ear, poison as you parrot her own words back to her.
“Nope. I’m not done with you yet.”

I Knew You Loved Me Part 2: Kate Bishop-
-An hour later-
You have your head resting on Kate’s chest, listening to her steady heartbeat. Kate gently runs her fingers through your hair, allowing you to relax into her, whilst ensuring to avoid putting any pressure on her wound.
“I’ve found my new favourite sound.” You say in a whisper.
Kate moves her line of sight to you, “What sound would that be, y/n/n?” She asks in the same tone.
“Your heartbeat- I’ll never get sick of hearing it.” You say as you concentrate on Kate’s unique beat.
Kate laughs lightly in order to not disturb her injury with too much movement,”Well, that just means we’ll have to cuddle like this more so you can listen to it.”
“Oh no, how terrible! How will I cope?” You say sarcastically, causing Kate to playfully tap on your head.
“You don’t realise how much I’ve always wanted this.” Kate says.
“What? To be in a hospital bed?” You tease.
“No doofus, to be here with you, having you by my side.” She says with a roll of her eyes.
“Same here, I just always chickened out when it came to asking you on a date or anything.” You say as you shift up slightly to look at Kate.
She gently caresses your cheek, causing your eyes to flutter closed, “Well if the last day or so has taught me anything, it’s that you can’t take anything for granted; so I’ll ask you this, will you be-“
“My girlfriend.” You interrupt Kate, as you open your eyes.
She raises an eyebrow at you, “You did not just steal my opportunity to ask you to be my girlfriend?!”
You put on an amused smirk, “Well yes, but I wanted to be the one who asked you first and I had this whole plan to ask you officially so I had to get in there.”
“You’re so strange.” Kate laughs.
You shift slightly, “What’s your answer, Bishop?”
“Hmm, I would answer you right now, but I might need 2-3 business days to give you a response-“ Kate rambles on, causing you to laugh.
“Don’t be mean.” You whine playfully.
“Okay, okay, yes I will be your girlfriend, but I’m telling everyone I asked first.” Kate says as she grabs your hand.
You link your fingers through hers, “I’ll just deny it but thank you Kate.”
Kate looks at you confused, “Why are you thanking me?”
“Why wouldn’t I? You’ve just given me the chance to have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world, and I’m so lucky to have you.”
Kate blushes at your compliment, “Oh my god, I made Kate Bishop blush!” You tease.
Kate removes her hand from yours to cover her face, “Stop, I will take my answer back, I swear.”
You sit on the edge of her bed laughing, grabbing her hands away from her face, “I think it’s cute.” You say as you move in for a kiss; Kate moves very slightly forward until you both hear a knock on the door, causing you to shoot up from the bed.
You straighten your clothes as Kate straightens her bed cover, “Come in.” Kate says.
Yelena pokes her head around the corner, “Close your eyes Kate Bishop.”
“If I do, will you hurt me?” Kate says in a nervous tone.
“N-no, just close your eyes!” Yelena says louder.
Kate looks at you conflicted, you give her a nod of assurance, knowing Yelena has just got back from the store with some supplies.
Kate finally closes her eyes.
“No peeking Kate Bishop or I’ll take it all back.” Yelena says as she brings in multiple bunches of ‘Get well soon’, balloons.
You smirk as she places them around the room, you move to go look outside the room and notice the various baskets of treats of Kate’s favourite things.
“Woah, Yelena how did you get all of this?” You ask as you help her bring the items into the room.
“I have my ways- some illegal, some not.” She says casually, causing you to look over in a serious way.
Yelena notices your expression, “Oh I am kidding, this is all legit.”
You choose to believe Yelena, knowing Natasha will be on her case if it is in fact not legit.
Once all the balloons and baskets have been brought in, Yelena gives Kate the all clear to open her eyes.
Once Kate opens her eyes, her expression is that of shock. She studies each gift with admiration, appreciating the efforts Yelena has gone to.
“Wow, thank you so much Yelena, this is incredible.” Kate says as tears line her eyes- tears of gratitude.
“No problem, though it comes with a price.” Yelena says as she admires her work.
You and Kate look at Yelena in confusion, waiting for her to clarify, “Oh right, yes, from now on I shall call you, ‘Kate Clumsy Bishop’. You can’t go on a mission without injury.”
Kate’s face drops slightly, which you notice in an instant. You move to her side, signalling you’re there for her.
“What do you say y/n, wouldn’t you agree it is very fitting.” Yelena asks you whilst laughing.
You look over at Yelena with a warning glare, “Yelena don’t start, she doesn’t need the stress.” You say without giving too much away.
Yelena quirks an eyebrow up at you, “Oh come on, you’re normally up for a little teasing. It is not my fault she cannot go on a mission without worrying us sick or getting injured. Hence, the clumsy part.”
“Yelena, stop it.” You say, knowing Kate is getting uncomfortable with the way she’s fidgeting with her hands.
“Why are you so defensive all of a sudden, wait a minute.” Yelena looks between the two of you and plasters a huge smile on her face.
“No way! You’re together, you finally told her how you feel!?” Yelena yells.
You can’t help but smirk, Yelena has done nothing but tease you on your crush for Kate.
“Wait, Yelena knew?” Kate asks.
“How could I not? She practically made heart eyes every time you walked into the room.” Yelena says as she sends you a challenging smile.
“Okay, okay, yes I’ve liked you for a long time; yes, unfortunately Yelena knew and teased me about it non stop and Yelena to answer your question- yes we are together.” You say as you grab Kate’s hand.
Yelena comes running over trying to pull you both into a hug, “Careful Lena, Kate’s cut.” You say as Yelena pulls back slightly.
“Oh yeah, sorry. I’m just so happy, you’re my best friends and I’m glad you’re finally together.” She says as she smiles uncontrollably.
“Aww thanks Yelena.” Kate says as she gently pulls Yelena into a more controlled hug.
You hear another set of knocks on the door, causing you to look over.
“Hey, how’s my favourite archer?” Natasha says as she walks into the room, with Clint following close behind.
“Hey!” Clint says in offense.
“You’re in the bad books, don’t complain.” Natasha says, causing Clint to lift his hands up in surrender.
Yelena picks herself up from Kate, “Hey, Sestra, guess what I just found out.” Yelena says in a sing-song way.
“Yelena.” You say in a warning tone, knowing Kate wants to tell everyone on both of your terms.
“Okay, fine. I need to go anyway, I’m going to take Lucky and Fanny on a walk since we know Lucky likes me most.” She says as she moves past everyone and to the door.
“That definitely is not true! He only likes you because you feed him from under the table during team meals.” Kate says.
Yelena shrugs, “Well he never complains, anyway I will see you love birds later.” Yelena says, pretending to gasp at her choice of words.
You’re about to say something but she runs down the hall, knowing you were about to chase her.
Natasha looks at you with her signature smirk, “Should I even ask what that was about?”
You shake your head, “You know what she’s like, she says the weirdest things.” You say trying to avoid the questions.
Natasha nods her head in understanding, “I won’t disagree with that. Anyway, how are you?” She directs her attention to Kate; weaving her way past Yelena’s display of balloons.
Your attention is grabbed when you feel a tapping on your arm, “Y/n, can I talk to you for a second?” Clint says.
You nod and follow him to the side of the room.
He releases a sigh, “Y/n, I just wanted to apologise for what I said on the mission. I was just stressed with Kate and the situation. I took it out on you and I shouldn’t have, so I’m sorry.” He says genuinely.
You grab him into a hug, showing your appreciation for his words, “It’s okay, I know you didn’t mean it. I’m sorry for not taking your words into consideration in regards to Kate-“
Clint pulls out of the hug and grabs onto your arms, “Hey, no. Don’t apologise, you were right. She was bound to be exposed to this kind of thing sooner or later. I just didn’t want to push her too far. You’re a professional so you equally know what’s best for her. I know you care a lot about her, so you wouldn’t put her in danger.”
You bow your head, “Thank you, Clint. I really appreciate your apology.”
“Clint, don’t forget the best part of your apology,” Natasha reminds him.
He rolls his eyes, “I promise to do all your upcoming, and very boring recon missions for a month.”
You laugh, “Okay, now I know you’re sorry and I will be accepting that term.” You grab his hand and shake it, causing him to let out a breath of laughter.
“Yeah, I thought you would.”
He turns his gaze to Kate, “How are you doing kid?”
She smiles at her mentor, “Good, thankful to be here. Appreciating all the support you guys are giving me.”
He smiles, “I’m glad. Laura and the kids want you to come round when you’re feeling up for it. They want to make you a meal to celebrate your recovery.”
Kate beams at this, “Wow, that is so thoughtful, I really can’t wait. Um, would I be able to bring a plus one?” Kate asks timidly.
Clint smiles mischievously, “Y/n is already invited.”
You roll your eyes, “Yeah, I thought you’d say that.” You say as you playfully shove him.
“Oh, um, I was asking because I wanted to take Lucky.” Kate says as she bites her bottom lip.
You snap your gaze over at her, “Hey!”
“What? He’s great company and definitely tells better jokes than you.” Kate says.
“He’s a dog and besides I taught him all he knows so really it’s my invitation by default.” You say whilst laughing.
Natasha shakes her head, “You’re dorks.”
Kate looks at you lovingly, “Well she’s my dork so I’m not complaining.” You blush in response, looking away before Kate sees- too late, she already did.
Before she can say anything a nurse comes in with some medical supplies, “Good Afternoon Kate, I’ve come to check on your wound and change the bandages, if that’s okay?”
Kate nods.
“Okay, we’ll go. Get some rest Kate and make sure y/n is treating you right.” Natasha says as she looks over at you.
You roll your eyes as Kate responds, “Thank you both, I’ll see you later.”
They make their way out of the room, you go to get comfortable in the chair beside Kate’s bed.
“Wait, can you stay? I don’t want to be alone.” Kate says with a worried expression.
You walk over to her, “Hey, hey don’t worry I’m not going anywhere. I’m here for you always okay. You’re stuck with me.” You say as you stroke a piece of hair away from her face.
She smiles at you gratefully, “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
You move to the side, holding Kate’s hand as the nurse gets to work on her wound.
A few cries of pain and tears later, you settle next to Kate; wiping away her tears and whisper how proud you are of her and how good she did whilst the nurse cleaned her wound.
Once the nurse has finished, she said her goodbyes and took all the supplies with her. Allowing you to lay next to Kate; arms gently wrapped around her and the back of her head resting on your chest.
Her breathing evens out as she works through the stinging of the wound being redressed, “Are you okay, my love?” You ask in a hushed tone.
“Yeah, I’m always okay when I’m with you. You’re my safe place.” She says as she starts to fall asleep.
You leave a kiss on the top of her head, “You’re my safe place too Kate.”
With that, you drift off to sleep with the love of your life in your arms- safe and sound.
