Genshin men as cats!

Prompt: the genshin men are temporarily turned into cats for one day and you as their lover must take care of them and make sure they stay safe

Ayato

Oh he’s not happy. He’s probably a shorthaired white cat in terms of appearance. But he is quite annoyed with this predicament. No one is allowed to tell anyone that the Yashiro Commissioner is suddenly a cat. But being a cat is nice. He can lounge and nap all day. He’s probably demanding of attention though. He simply must have your eyes on him. He adores being brushes so lovingly too. Maybe he should have you brush his hair when he’s back to normal.

Al Haitham

Virtually no change. He may still try to read though he won’t be able to turn the pages as easily. He doesn’t mind a few pats but he mostly prefers to be left alone in the nice warm sun to nap the day away. He’s definitely a grey tabby.

Kaveh

He is so distraught! He meows a storm in fustration as he finds he is completely incapable of finishing his projects! You simply must take care of him! You need to have him strapped in like a baby carrier on your chest because he’s just so clingy. He needs constant reassurance and attention. He’s so needy but so cute. Probably a cute little cream colored kitty.

Kaeya

He is also probably a bit annoyed. While yes he gets a complete day off, he can’t do much as a cat. So he’ll probably try to find some entertainment if you don’t keep him thoroughly entertained. He will find a way to sneak out and go play with Klee or annoy Diluc if you don’t keep him in your grasp at all times.

Neuvillette

He is very confused but also curious. On one hand this form is verrrry different than he’s ever had before but its also very beneficial to him. People are far less intimidated and strangely he enjoys being coddled and pet more than he would. Of course miss Furina is teasing the crap out of him but he doesn’t really care. Sitting on your lap, small and warm. Its such a unique experience he will probably never have again.

Wriothesley

Once the dust settles he’s quite relaxed. This is temporary so might as well enjoy it. Sigewinnie has become very attached to him as she constantly makes sure he’s okay. But in particular he loves being held by you. He’s used to being the big strong man who lifts you all the time etc etc. its nice actually being the reverse here. He gets fed special fish from the cafeteria and gets to spend his day in your arms! The perfect break for him! He’s almost sad it’s temporary but he knows he can’t stay like this forever.

Childe

Oh he’s mad! Even when it’s confirmed to be temporary, he is annoyed! How can he improve his fighting skills if he’s a kitty! Sure he’s a adorable little kitty of course but he looks like a baby! Oh his ego is in shatters. It’s unfortunate too because it wasn’t even around his family so he could play with his little brother at least. He’s practically quarantined to keep him safe. He can’t go on kitty adventures. Therefore YOU must make it up to him. He spends his time sulking and trying to play with anything he can. Dangling uniform piece? New toy! Someone’s foot? New toy! He bites! He meows! He hardly naps. He does love cuddling with you though. Still he’s a ball of energy and he cannot simply sit still for long! No doubt will his office be trashed. You’re making him clean it up once he’s back.

Thoma

Stressed! So stressed! He has so many chores! He cannot hold a broom with two paws! You have to make arrangements for him to have the day off which was hard because everyone was upset by his sudden cancellation. Even so he tries to help. He tries to drag the broom but it doesn’t do anything unfortunately. Oh he feels so useless. You must pamper him. Lavish him with kisses and gentle praise. Call him the cutest little kitty in the world! Oh he’s such a affectionate boy too. He acts like a cat with separation anxiety almost. He cannot sleep if you’re not there with him. Therefore you end up spending the day with him, trying to dissuade him from trying to clean a mess and just making it worse, distracting him with a warm blanket and pets.

Zhongli

He probably did so on purpose actually. Perhaps he was a bit bored and decided to spend the day exploring Liyue from a different perspective. It was quite fun for him actually. He watched as people came over to pet him. Unfortunately they also tried to feed him seafood which wasn’t too good. But after the long day he returned home to see you panicked as to where he could be. He decided to come on over to you, still in his cat form, and distract you. It worked as he helped you relax.

You werent too amused when you found out that cat that broke in was him.

Pantalone

He is quite annoyed. Angry in a more agitated way. Don’t mess up his fur! Pet him properly! Don’t ignore him now! He is a demanding little feline. He is not content unless you are entirely focused on him. He even wants you to break up the fish ro serve to him. He isn’t going to eat like a animal! Oh but he is such s cute kitty. Entirely black with big expressive yellow eyes. Oh you can’t help but comply and spoil him a little more! And he has such lovely fur! He does like hearing your gentle praises as you pet him. He never knew how lovely it felt to be small, sleeping on a nice warm lap, being gently brushed, and told sweet little compliments. He may actually want to do this again sometime.

Diluc

Biggest drama king! How can he protect you or Mondstadt like this! Therefore you cannot leave his sight or he’s convinced you will immediately die. You must stay with him so he can protect you? He is a very warm kitty though so it feels nice to snuggle with him. His fur is a bit messy so you’ll have to brush it. Despite him trying to stay vigilant he ends up falling asleep quickly.

Plot: In the aftermath of The Blip and her boyfriend Bucky turning to dust, Y/N finds a voicemail from him... sent the day she lost him. Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Female!Reader Warnings: Mentions of death, or at least Bucky is presumed dead (obviously we know Bucky isn't dead but we all thought he was after Infinity War, let's be honest) and grief. And of course, some angst. But as always, if I miss any triggers, please let me know. Notes: This is for @whumptober Day 24. I used the prompt: "Goodbye Note". I also combined it with the @angstober "The Day I Lost You" prompt. I was once again sad and listening to PVRIS as I wrote this, so now you can be too :)

Not beta'd, so any mistakes are my own.

Stepping over the threshold into her apartment, Y/N drops her bags to the floor with a tired groan. The rain still pounds down outside, the sound echoing through the building. As a personal assistant to Tony Stark himself, Y/N’s working life is extremely busy. And since The Blip, she’s busier than ever, constantly being pulled into meetings with little time for herself. For the past few weeks, she’s been away at a conference with the surviving Avengers, working on a solution to The Blip. This is the first time she’s had to breathe in about a year. And that also means it’s the first time she’s been home since it all happened, since her boyfriend and some of her best friends turned to dust.

And she’s never felt so alone.

Of course, Y/N knows that dating an Avenger, let alone the Winter Soldier himself, comes with its own risk. Especially the risk he may never come home. But although it’s always been at the back of her mind, seeping into her every thought whilst he’s away on a mission… Bucky came back safe so many times that the worry dissipated. Foolishly, she believed he was indestructible, and that he’d always come home to her.

Until he didn’t.

Tears spring at her eyes then, and she furiously tries to wipe them away. She’s done enough grieving over the last year. Enough hoping that he’s coming back, only to end up disappointed. There’s only so much pain you can take before you can’t go on anymore. And Y/N crossed that line a long time ago.

The red light on her answering machine blinks back at her, and she sighs, rubbing her temples and closing her eyes, hoping that when she opens them, the light will be gone. But no matter how hard she tries, it’s still there, and she groans. The last thing she wants to hear right now is more “I’m sorry to hear about Bucky” and “We understand how much it hurts, but he’s in our thoughts.” Nobody will ever understand how much it hurts. Even the other Avengers.

Because Bucky isn’t just in her thoughts. He’s everywhere. He still occupies the empty space in her bed, his laughter still fills the halls, his singing echoing from the shower. He’s the whisper in the wind, the faint scent of his cologne whenever she enters a room, and that still clings to her clothing like a safety blanket. He’s the shiver up her spine, the faint feeling of a hand holding hers, an arm wrapped around her waist.

It’s like he never even left.

Y/N presses the button, bracing herself for the onslaught of messages to come. “Hey sweetheart. It’s me-” As soon as she hears her mother’s voice, Y/N deletes the message. She’ll deal with her and her incessant questions later. She means well, of course, they all do. But the last thing she wants is to be pestered, reminded of her pain over and over again. They may mean well, but there’s nothing they can do. There’s nothing anyone can do. The other message is boring, a message about her car’s extended warranty that gets deleted almost immediately.

But when she hears the voice in the next message, she collapses to her knees. “Hey doll.” Bucky speaks. It's the first time she’s heard his voice - actually heard it - since he left. As soon as she hears him speak, she can see the smile on his face, and hear the laughter in his tone. Her presence always brought a smile to Bucky's face, even on his worst days. Because he loves her. …Loved her.

Hearing Bucky’s voice again, so soon after losing him, causes all her pent-up emotions to erupt, a year's worth of pain spilling over. As the first of her sobs break through, Bucky’s voice continues. “Just checking in to see how you are and keep you updated. Steve and the others are here…”

“Why didn’t I answer the call? I could’ve stopped them!”

“... and we have a game plan now to stop this asshole. Before you know it, I’ll be back home in New York with you, my favourite girl.” Her chest heaves, and she sobs even harder. “I miss you so much, though. The guys keep pestering me about it, but I don’t care. I love you, Y/N, and I want the entire world to know.” That sends her over the edge. A painful, anguished wail rips through her, the sound filling the room. Y/N’s full body shakes, and she clutches at her chest. “I hope you’re doing well and staying out of trouble.” Bucky chuckles. “Keep me updated. But I’ll see you soon enough, anyway.”

“Why didn’t I answer? Why didn’t I answer?!”

“I better go, Steve’s shouting at me. Think the mission is about to start.”

Y/N sits up, trying to grab the phone to dial Bucky’s number and tell him she’s still here, that she still loves him. Hoping that he’s there on the other side, waiting for her.

“Bye doll. See you soon. Love you always.” And then, the line goes dead, the dull beeping noise going right through her. Picking up the phone, she dials Bucky’s number, holding it to her ear as her heart pounds.

“Please… please…” she begs. "Just answer me Bucky... please."

Beep.

“Hey! This is Bucky. I can’t talk right now, and I don’t really know how these things work.” He chuckles, the sound forming a small glimpse of warmth in her belly, and Y/N even laughs softly too. She was there when he recorded that message, her best efforts to teach him the wonders modern technology still not sinking in. Not that it matters now, though. None of it does. She just wants him back. “So I guess if you leave a message, I’ll call you back?”

And he always called her back. Even if it was a day, a week or even a month late. Bucky always called her back. But he won’t call back. Not this time.

She tries to speak, to say something, anything, to Bucky's voicemail. If there's even a chance he could hear it, she wants him to know how much she loves him, and how much she misses him. Yet she can't say anything through her tears.

When the call disconnects, Y/N sinks to her knees, huddling into a ball as the sobs rack through her entire body.

She’s alone again.

And she always will be.

Concerning a previous remark.

In November of 2018, the Vocaloid and UTAU producer KIRA released the UTAU voicebanks Akarui Kouki and Akarui Hikari, created and voiced by him.

Each voicebank features a mascot character of the same name, with concept art provided by seica.

In the following days, as is the usual for such a momentous occasion, KIRA would receive several messages and comments on Twitter, to congratulate him on the release, including edits as well as drawings of these characters.

I crossed paths with one such message—a drawing of Akarui Hikari, with a peace sing on each hand, head tilted to the side, and with her tongue sticking out a bit, captioned "Queen for the gays", if memory serves.

I though "Oh, cute", gave it a like, and went on my way. I would never see the full drawing again.

Some time later—not sure when I started—I remembered the image and figured I ought to see it again. To my dismay, I could not find the tweet anywhere.

"Surely, it must still be somewhere!" — I thought, naively, as I typed the caption I remembered on Google.

No results.

"Okay, maybe it will show up on Twitter..." — It didn't.

"Just drop her name on Images, something gotta show up!" — Many things did, but not what I looked for.

"Did anyone upload it to a booru?" — No.

"Okay. Okay. There's no need to be lazy, I'll just read every single tweet by and to KIRA since the release date. It has to be there!" — It wasn't. But the effort was not wasted.

I was able to find many replies by KIRA to tweets that have since been deleted, or that belong to missing or suspended accounts, which may explain the disappearance. Unfortunately, not a single one of those replies appears to have been archived.

But. But! In an unrelated reply, I found an old screenshot of a tweet KIRA. In that screenshot, as the portrait of the accomplice, three parties that inadvertently conspired to my torment, in that frozen moment in time, there she was.

To this date, this highly compressed circle-cropped 135x135 ordinary collection of pixels has stood as the single proof of my sanity, the simplest marker of my ineptitude, and the sterling token of my regret.

At this point I'm not sure that I'll ever find it, that it can even be found.

Should I even want to find it?

To finally get to it and lose this strongest reminder of the transience of all things, that you should hang tight to all that you hold dear.

It is said that you are responsible, forever, for what you have tamed, but what about that which tames you?

Maybe if I just asked KIRA if he still has it and remembers who made it, but what then?

To hear a "Yes" and crystalize my incompetence for all eternity, or to hear a "No" and lose even this last speck of hope.

It's just another drawing. It's the most important image in my life.

on phandom whiteness, race and stereotypes

I've been meaning to make this post for a while. I have never been very active in this fandom space, and part of that has been due to a discomfort I have felt that i have never felt i could discuss openly. So while I want to be a part of this phandom, I need to adress the elephant in the room and I want this sideblog I created to be a space where others like me can feel safe to voice their feelings and thoughts.

To preface this, I am not looking to "cancel" dan and phil. I just want to talk about my experiences both as a hardcore phan for years, and as someone who deviates from the usual dnp fan: I'm not a white person from Europe, US, Canada.

To put it bluntly, some of their videos are extremely hard to watch and enjoy and it makes me feel alienated when no one talks about it. There is no media without "problematic" elements, but I feel like in other fandom spaces people at least talk about elements worth questioning because they may be offensive or ignorant.* And yet dan and phil are hailed as "unproblematic kings" when this is not the case at all, and it's hard to bring up how I feel.

I'm not looking to make a comprehensive list of everything they've said, but I will talk about a few examples to illustrate what I mean.

Sexy Internet Dating (1:59-2:03)

A Day in the Life of Phil and Dan! (3:58-4:03)

p: Suncream d: suncream for your albino face p: yea d: i don't need it because i'm already black

Does anyone remember the Mexican Dan thing? He seems to have deleted most of the things associated with that period where he was tan and "jokingly" fancied himself a different race because of it but this little window to that time remains in one of the most beloved videos of all time. Can you see how this might be hard to watch? When even the most iconic videos they've made are sprinkled with little instances of ignorant comments like this?

And let me be clear, I know this was ages ago. I'm aware they might have grown and changed. What really gets to me is how nobody in the phandom ever talks about these moments. It makes me really lonely and disappointed that everyone turns a blind eye to things that might tarnish the image of their faves.

Like for example, the pewdiepie situation. I'm not going to discuss everything he did and said. But imagine how it might feel as a non-white fan to want to rewatch old dnpgames videos and find that they kept their videos with him up all this time:

They were clearly quite friendly with F*lix. Besides these videos, Felix is also casually mentioned in some of their videos and livestreams from the time before he was "cancelled" (more on that later). But did they ever say anything condemning his actions? I think that given how they had collaborated and were friends, I would expect them to say SOMETHING rather than just never speak on the matter (as far as I know, the closest they got to this was in a liveshow where dan said he had had "a conversation" with felix in a way that implied he disapproved of his actions.) Or at the very very least, is it really that hard to delete a video? They have deleted old videos for a variety of reasons. How is collabing with a known racist not reason enough to go through the trouble of deleting a video? But deleting other videos just because they're a bit"cringey" is worth that time?

I just wonder how regretful they really are at having been friends and collaborators with him. In fact, part of me wonders if they are still friends behind the scenes. If this is ever confirmed btw, that will cause me to stop watching them forever. And they might still be friends in their little white circle for all we know. After all dan and phil are long time friends of KickthePj. And PJ is STILL friends with pewdiepie.

Now, besides PJ being dnp's friend and having once been part of the phantastic foursome, I don't care much for his content except for when dan and phil have been featured (lol sorry not sorry). And this might be the case for many of you as well! But some of you ARE avid kickthepj fans and decided to ignore the fact that he uploaded a video with pewdiepie last month. There is no plausible deniability here anymore. Despite the harms pewdiepie has done in internet spaces--and how that extends to real life--NOBODY said anything about how kickthepj doesn't care enough (or at all) to simply NOT make a video with pewdiepie.

It's staggering to me that no one cares. It's shocking to me that in these videos i've mentioned, you go to the comment section and everyone will be happily enjoying the video with no mention of these things.

Is this what being "cancelled" looks like? It seems to me like with the passage of time, Pewdiepie and his friends and followers just want to sweep it all under the rug. How is it that the internet will tear a man to shreds for plagiarism but then find it in themselves to excuse racism?

Why does no one care? Is it because this space is overwhelmingly white? I think so. I think it's a conscious choice to turn a blind eye when it's convenient. So I just wanted to make this post to say that if you ever feel alienated by the white ignorance of dnp or their circle of their fans, then you can come talk to me and I won't ignore you.

I want to be a part of this phandom, I really love dan and phil, but I'm not going to "stan" them. I'm not going to make excuses for them. And I'm not going to keep quiet just so I can be a part of this fandom without making the vast majority of white fans uncomfortable.

*I'm thinking of my experiences in the supernatural fandom. (Although, i'm not saying it's perfect. There are certainly a number of fics that have made me feel very disappointed inthe creator for falling into the trap of racial stereotypes in OCs and stuff like that, and despite that so many people enjoy it and include it in rec lists.)

Wednesday scowled finally letting you win the argument of you bothering her to be able to sleep in her bed with her after you had been begging her for nearly twenty minutes.

She said looking up from your homework she had (tried) helping you with. You were grinning at her, it may be the biggest smile she had ever seen coming from you. Annoyed Wednesday couldn't help to find you adorable, the way your dimples stood so much out for anyone to see, and how your eyes glittered with different colors from the big window on the other side of the dorm.

Later that night after getting your pj's from your room you were falling asleep. Your eye lashes fluttering trying to stay awake, while Wednesday was still sitting at her dark desk, writing in her beloved novel.

"Are you done yet Wen?

"yes soon, just sleep cara mia. I'll be there when you wake up"

"Ok good night Wednesday"

"Sleep well lovely"

Feeling reassured you finally drifted off to sleep, dreaming about your beautiful future wife.

You woke up the next morning sweating profusely, a warm heavy feeling on top of you. Opening your eyes you were met with Wednesday's slightly drooling face using your chest as a pillow. Snoring lightly her arms were wrapped tightly around your body like you were to disappear if she ever let go. You smiled brightly down at her, looking forward to tease her about it when she woke up. Sneakily you moved your arm from under hers to reach for your phone, and immediately going to the photo app. After snapping maybe thirty pictures or so of you making faces to the camera with your girlfriend sleeping soundly on top of you, you saw her pale arm flash out at the speed of light. Grabbing your phone and pulling it from your grasp, you jumping slightly looking to see Wednesday already glaring at you.

"if you don't delete those pictures right this second I will skin you alive and feed you to every unsuspecting student in this goddamned school."

And Now, Certain People I Met At NYCC You May Have Heard of...

Slowly gonna start sharing some of the photos from this year's NYCC, so for today, here is a few pics I think you may like.

Sarah-Nicole Robles, I think you may have heard of her, starred in this show called The Owl House or something...

Seriously though it was nice to meet her (she showed up along with several other cast members on Thursday. I was lucky to find out about it when I did.)

Every year I seem to meet at least 1 wrestler. And this year, I met Matt Hardy!

I got a chance to talk with him a bit about the match I considered my favorite of the Bray Wyatt matches (The Ultimate Deletion) and he had some good things to share about it. (Shooting took 9 hours)

I waited a good 30 to 45 minutes to get an autograph and a selfie with Kevin Eastman. I say it was well worth it.

Also, he would also like to have the TMNT do a crossover with Marvel sooner or later.

Yes. I met two voices from my childhood and teenage years in person.

Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche, known to many as the voices behind Pinky and the Brain. They were there (along with Tress MacNeille and other voice actors) for Thursday and when I met with them, the following happened and for anyone who has ever known me, I did something that was quite unique.

Me: Before we take this picture, there is something I always wanted to do.

Maurice: Oh?

Me: Yes...(deep breath) Egon Spengler...(points to Rob) meet Jack Fenton. Jack Fenton, meet Egon Spengler!

(Both Laugh)

Maurice: (in Egon's voice) Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Fenton

Rob: (In Jack's voice) Likewise! Time to go ghost

The fact that I actually got to do this AND impress both of them with that is not lost on me.

The sleepy town of Wormwood

A powerful witch has cast a spell over the town, isolating it from the rest of the world. Perpetually 1956, it exists in a stasis, unchanging over the years. No one has ever questioned the way things are, never thought about why nothing seems to change from year to year. Will anyone ever break free of the curse and bring Wormwood into the present or will it forever remain the same? I really love this hood and despite having so many issues with it, I still love playing it (and so does @nonsensical-pixels who is the one that inspired me to dig around to get most of the original files back because she was making me jealous). It's a little more silly but there are some pretty dark undertones as well. I know there's a couple issues but they really aren't a problem if you play the hood as a standalone or with non-PV subhoods. There is an overarching mystery/plot :) Who really is Moira and...is she really that bad? Is she actually evil or is there more to it? What's going on in the Moore house and why is there a strange smell wafting from it? The Tegan's sure are an odd bunch, is the picture perfect family of blonde hair and blues eyes a coincidence or something more sinister? Will Olive Specter finally find some good luck and love in Ocean Grisly? Sam Spyers is determined to figure out what's happening in Wormwood, but can she figure it out before it's too late?

There are 3 files included: Required, Highly Suggested, and Wormwood itself. The Required folder contains various CC that I used, almost entirely from Michelle's recolors from MTS (merged) + the Bespoke build set (merged), the (optional) Prison mod from Simlogical is not required but sort of ruins the immersion for two families, there are various plants from Parsimonious, fences from Smug Tomato Basket, more plants from the Castaway conversion site, the Sims 2 store sets, and unfortunately a really old merged buy mode folder that I genuinely do not remember what's in it other than a ton of Veranka's stuff. I don't think I used too much from this folder and most of it has the creator in the item descriptions. In all, it's about 1GB of CC, so it's not exactly that much. CC lite, I guess? Most of it is just to get the general vibe of the hood and can be replaced and even then, the bulk of it is simply recolors or bespoke wallpapers. I used this template from enchantedw0lf on MTS to create the hood. Townies may or may not be bald. No, I will not explain. As the first hood I've ever made, it has been through hell and back. I actually completely finished a more complex and involved version of it before managing to corrupt it due to a simple misclick in simpe and thinking I had a backup but not actually :):):) Then entirely remade it from scratch again but it was a hacked down version with fewer sims and simpler plot lines (rifp cowboy farmer who secretly wanted to be a pretty ballerina and had a room full of mannequins facing a stage where he'd dance for them). All this to say that I didn't make this hood 100% correctly and it has some...quirks. When I remade it, I forgot to disable stealth hoods (you'd think I'd have learned my lesson from this when I decided to make Natosi later lol), and I simply can't be bothered to delete townies n stuff. I don't have the energy or willpower to clean it up. The hood itself is still very pretty and fun to play, I think the odd quirks actually fit in perfectly and helps give the vibes I wanted for it!

-Honestly, first of all, Percy is always asking Lance questions. Like, yes, Percy is very curious and inquisitive by nature and he questions lots of people, but whenever he has some random question that doesn't need to be answered by any specific person, he always asks Lance (as long as he can find him)

-Relating to that, Percy is the kind of person who will ask the most out of pocket questions and Lance will think he's crazy at first before genuinely starting to consider it, despite not actually wanting to. Like, they'd be walking through a field and Percy'd just be like, "How many blades of grass do you think we'd need to recreate my entire body weight?" And Lance would just give him a look and ignore the question, but then five minutes later, outta nowhere he's just like, "It has to be at least a thousand, right?" And Percy is very confused until he suddenly remembers his previous question

-ALSO relating to that, Percy is entirely convinced that Lance knows everything. As far as Percy is concerned, Lance quite literally knows all. He has all the answers to every single possible factual question that anyone could ask him. No matter how many times anyone tries to tell him differently, he insists that they're wrong

-These two are unintentionally chaotic together. Like, okay, both are pretty chaotic just in general, and most often Lance is on purpose, but when the two of them are together, they don't even really realize how absolutely unhinged they're being until someone points it out to them (i.e. when they tried to find the answer to the grass question)

-Percy is one of the very few people who knows how much Lance enjoys flora and general plant life (based on my own Lance hcs) and Lance never tells him to keep it a secret necessarily, but some intuitive part of him makes him do so and Lance was surprised but grateful when Percy explained such a thing one day

-Percy isn't exactly the best at reading the room or other people, but Lance's moods are a bit easier for him. Mostly because whenever he's pestering the poor guy for one reason or another, Lance always has some kind of sarcastic comment or a "jus' shut up already, would ya?" Or a sigh or huff or snort. There's always some kind of noise or reaction, and Percy's gotten used to that. So if Lance ever just stays quiet with zero reaction to Percy's antics, he immediately knows that something's off

-Whenever Lance is restless and under-stimulated (more Lance hcs), he specifically seeks Percy out because Percy's rambles and hyperactivity help him balance put

-On the other side of that, whenever Percy notices that Lance is overstimulated, he does his best to make sure everyone else leaves him alone (except for Tristan)

-Both are always very quick to defend each other. Percy thinks Lance is one of the most awesome people ever and doesn't ever hesitate to say so. Lance may call Percy an idiot and all kinds of other names but the moment anyone tries to genuinely underestimate Percy, he'll make sure they know how wrong they are one way or another

-Major younger sibling/older sibling energy between them

-No matter how cheery and full of energy Percy is, he's, ofc, not completely immune to upset. No matter what the reason, if he ever notices Percy's mood is down for any reason, he'll take him somewhere quiet and they'll just sit for awhile. Lance typically isn't very good at comforting most people, so this is usually the best he can do - sit calmly with someone and make sure they know he's there. For Percy, those times are always helpful, Lance being a peaceful presence beside him and making him feel safe (due to that older/younger dynamic between them)

-(if you don't ship Trislance, just ignore this one) Percy doesn't pay much attention to people's romantic interests or who likes who in that way, it's not something he typically thinks about, but one day Donny makes some kind of joke or comment about how Lance and the prince are totally crushing on each other and, after it was explained to him what that means, he suddenly made it his mission to be Lance's wingman and try and help him in his romantic advances towards Tristan, which Lance both loves and hates

-(if you don't ship Persians, just ignore this one) Lance, of course, being the extremely observant person he is, notices almost right away what's going on between Percy and Nasiens, and totally starts nudging them closer together. Percy doesn't understand much about love and romance and all that, but if Lance tells him, "Hey, Nasiens would love if someone gave him this flower and it would make him super happy" then Percy is immediately on it (he volunteers as tribute) or sometimes Lance will just offhandedly mention something or make some comment about something Nasiens does or likes or wishes or wants or he'll very purposely ask Nasiens a specific question while making sure Percy can hear and then he'll just sit back and watch as Percy uses the information to do things that'll make Nasiens happy without even really realizing why he's doing it

-Food. These two 100% bond over food

-They're both always trying to compete against each other but they will team up together without hesitation in order to beat anyone else at whatever it is they're competing about

you are a person who appears to spend the majority of their time looking for artists to cancel. Against me you make repeated claims that I have admitted to taking an easy route to success, traced ai artwork, and claimed you should feel guilty for calling me out. none of this is true and I think you know that. this is not letting the people who support me know anything- this is lying to them and making a well documented, resolved problem appear unresolved and neglected.

in your reply you express clear acknowledgment of my message to you. In that message I explained that the issue of referencing artwork was an old mistake, one that is not continuing today. and furthermore it is one that I have settled with the artists AZ Wald and Kooks. Both of whom have expressed they felt the matter was handled. I attached screenshots of this in a later reply. I also tell you that I have paid Kooks double the profits to correct my wrong decision to monetize. Given all that information that you still proceeded to make the following post.

I can only apologize for my mistakes, make it right with the artists (which includes deleting and compensation), and not do it again. that is not playing the victim or dodging the problem, that is literally taking accountability.

You seem to know that this is not an ongoing issue but still implicate me in entirely unrelated issues with actual ai artists in an attempt to make it seem current.

Nk let me address your belief that those few pieces are the cause for my success. Social media does not favor one hit wonders, it favors consistency, dedication and a fair amount of chance. You take a look at any of the popular artists within any fandom and the one thing everyone has in common is quality and consistency. Everyone has had successful pieces and flops and not a single one of them would likely attribute their long term success to a single work. There are no easy routes. Sooner or later you will lose relevancy if your work is not ever adapting and improving.

Lastly, you will find eventually that I am not alone in my mistakes. I will obviously not be providing names but I have encountered several established artists make the same mistakes I have. Some have been called out, some have not. It was a great contributing factor to why I did not recognize what I had done was wrong sooner. This is not an excuse but rather to point out your obsession with me cannot be remotely written away as under good faith.

nk i will take this post down once i have a dm from you. it is not my intention to put ur actions on blast. i would much rather resolve this privately however know that you have in many ways forced me to acknowledge you.

Platonic/father figure Kai and reader who died of injuries or of illness.. He didn’t expect things to go that way, or maybe he didn’t really want to think of it. You are mortal, such an outcome is anticipated sooner or later but why Kai feels so devastated? He didn’t think he’d become attached to anyone ever again, willing to care of someone. Yes he called you annoying often or was giving you ridiculous nicknames to piss you off but Kai’s other actions showed that he actually cared about you. Even though he never voiced that. He regrets it now.

He even thought of checking if you’re in the spirit relam now despite the fact that his escape from there costed him taking chi of ALL kung fu masters there. Oh wait, yes, there’s no guarantee that you’re there. Where are non masters go after death or how to get there? Kai doesn’t know. In the moment he just holds your still warm body close in his embrace, carefully, just like when you were alive. As you both spirits now Kai is struggling to find you and go on living like that or let you go.. Who knows, if he waits you will return one day

If they died of illness Kai’d be broken long before that moment. He even tried to give you chi but it didn’t work. He can only take it. All Kai can do now is taking care and treat you. He’s not that mean anymore, not when you have no time, you deserve peaceful ending after all

Ahhhh I'm just imagining Kai trying to find a way to figure out where Y/N's soul went, and how he can get there, while knowing he probably can't, being immortal, but he's willing to try and bring them back, no matter how long it takes...but even worse is him watching them die, knowing that he can't prevent it.

When he realizes they're about to pass, he's suddenly so much kinder and softer towards them than he's ever been. He no longer raises his voice, or even tries to make them angry anymore- not even to tease them to amuse himself. He tends to them as best as he can, getting them water, wrapping them up if they're cold, changing bandages if they've been injured - overall treating them like a small child, showing them the care he's had for them deep down but never shown.

Then he's holding them close in their last moments, watching their chi fade away, but just desperately trying to heal them, to make them well, and finally breaking down in the end, begging them not to go, not to leave him...and after that horrible, final moment, still cradling them in his arms as he never did when they were alive.

I'm driving myself insane, so I will finally just shoot my shot and make a post about this.

Was anyone here in the English Youtaite community, circa 2013?

That year, popular English cover artist Ketsuban collabed with fellow artists JoyDreamer (formerly JoyDreamerJourney) and Mai, and released their English cover of Reboot (the song by JimmyThumb-P ft. Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, & Samune Zimi).

I was eleven years old, newly into Vocaloid and OBSESSED with it. This specific cover of Reboot was my introduction to the song, and though I enjoy JubyPhonic and SirHamnet's English versions, this first cover will always hold a special place in my heart.

However, for reasons not entirely clear, Ketsuban either deleted or privated this video only a few years later, and as far as I can tell, wiped all traces of it from streaming.

Around 2017, I messaged JoyDreamer, asking if she knew the reason for the video's removal, but she didn't.

I began scouring the Internet in search of any reupload or cover of their cover--even just a post with the lyrics--but alas, it has never borne fruit. At some point, I just figured I'd have to accept it's gone forever, despite the despair I felt as the lyrics gradually faded from my memory.

Then, this year, JoyDreamer unexpectedly went into retirement, and deleted everything on her channel. This got me thinking about the old Reboot cover once again. Although a lot of Joy's music can still be found relatively easily on various sites across the internet, the Reboot collab is still as elusive as ever to me.

So this brings me to my point. My desperate and heartfelt plea, one sentimental Vocaloid fan to another: If anyone, anyone at all, has access to an mp3 of this English cover, or somehow KNOWS where I can find it, please, I am begging you, please message me and help me achieve my dream of hearing it again.

Addressing the Wattpad.

Hi all.

We have privately been handling a situation for the last 5+ months. We have tried to keep it behind the scenes as much as we could, but unfortunately it can no longer stay that way.

As many of you know, last night we were made aware by @time-for-a-lullaby of a Wattpad account reposting our original works. We were understandably heartbroken by this. It was the work we’ve dedicated the last two and a half years to, the work that had brought the two of us together originally, and it’s things that we wrote from a very personal place. Some things were therapeutic, some things were inspired by events in our own lives, but most of all, they came from US, and we never gave permission for it to be posted anywhere except our blog by us.

In the immediate aftermath of seeing this, we recognized the user's work and username from multiple accounts we have dealt with since early this summer. In late May/early June, we blocked an account for being a minor. Then, within a day, a nearly identical URL followed us. It was obviously the same user given the follows and URL. We blocked, and this process repeated itself multiple times. We also posted frequent reminders about our policy on being 18+ only. After several weeks of back and forth, we privately reached out and asked them to please stop, and any further action would spur a report to Tumblr for unwanted harassment. They blocked us both and, given the lack of any familiar looking URLs, we thought that was the end of it.

But once we saw the username last night, we recognized the user instantly. We then contacted the other blog with this information and both moved through the proper channels to get the works taken down via copyright claims. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it), the account deleted the plagiarized works from us and another writer before Wattpad could intervene. We don't believe it is a coincidence that immediately after the stories (5 of them, to be exact) were deleted, that a variation of the familiar URL tried to follow us, mere minutes later.

We privately reached out this evening to the user on Wattpad to try to get some clarity as to why this happened. Before we could discuss things clearly, and after repeatedly attempting to explain to the individual that we were indeed involved in this, and no, they did not apologize to me already like they claimed, they blocked us and ended the conversation abruptly.

Today we have done a lot of internal works to attempt to safeguard our blog against this in the future, including combing through our followers and attempting to find any more blogs of theirs, and in doing so we found several accounts, one of which we are certain is theirs, and two which we feel strongly about. We still are in shock that last night even happened, and we both are upset about it. We normally don’t handle things publicly but they continue to keep making blogs to follow us and straight up won’t handle things at all when we try to so we feel we have no other way.

If you see brodisddabest1 on Wattpad posting our stories or anyone else’s, please notify us, the author, and/or Wattpad. Never ever do we promote harassment and are NOT asking anyone to message her on our behalf (and we encourage the exact opposite!) or anything, but please help us keep an eye out so there is no more reposting or stealing of ideas in the future. We also ask that you continue to support the original creators instead of those who reupload work on different platforms. If you have reason to suspect someone’s work is not their own, do your research and always be supportive of the true creator. There is no good that comes of this!

Kyogai had all kinds of humans finding their way into his domain

Grabbing them himself, those who explore 'abandoned' homes, heroes that try to help

But 'had the wrong address' was a new one

He heard you yell it semi frantically before slamming the screen door in front of him and running

He would have found it amusing if he wasn't keen on finding you before anyone else did

So you played chase, and on one occasion, you managed to slip into a room with a floor decorated in papers

It looked like it had plenty of hiding spaces, so you grabbed some papers and took a breather

You assured yourself that you'd hear him come closer by the drums and started sifting through the material, hoping it would lead you to an exit

Instead, you found yourself lost in the words, eagerly eating up every line

So infatuated that you didn't notice the drum demon towering right behind you

Kyogai figured you had nothing nice to say and picked you up by the back of your shirt, ready to swipe

" Wait!! Did you write this? "

Out of desperation, admiration or fear, you weren't sure, but you felt compelled to ask

And he answered

" What does it matter! "

He seemed upset, but you didn't let go of the papers and hugged them to your chest

You were going to die, but some part of you was okay with the circumstances

" It's incredible; thank you. "

Your eyes were closed, ready for impact, but it never came

Kyogai just stared at you, probably one of the most peaceful humans he had ever met in his company

And next thing you knew, you were tumbling out the front door

You still had the whole story in your hand, and you ran all the way home with it

Perhaps against better judgement, you returned a week later with the same papers; this time, they were neatly tied with hard covers protecting the contents

Without moving into the main house, you sat in the entryway; waiting to see him

Then you dropped it inside and ran

Kyogai found you had painted a beautiful cover of his story and written a summary on the inside, lining every page in gold foil

It was the first anyone had preserved his work with such care

' In which a heroine lost to the grasp of insanity fights his growing instincts to protect the strange girl who preserved his legacy, written with care by ----- '

He found the description to be a kiss on his shattered ego and held it carefully

Perhaps it was time he found his own 'strange girl' that proved she would protect his works

So I’m just gonna start if that’s okay? I should preface I am the same anon that sent the “just watched dominion” ask might be important idk.

So I am going to start.

Capitalism, fishing and the need for speed

Unlike my previous ask I was going to send but tumblr got weird and deleted it, I will try to bring up articles and stuff not really to prove a point but to get the discussion rolling if that’s okay!

Fishing trawlers

For the people who don’t know are fishing vessels who employ the fishing technique of trawling, which is where the fishing vessel drags a HUGE net and catches the fish by dragging it along the sea floor. Or here’s a quote by the Australian fishing authority who explains it better.

“Trawling is one of the most common methods of fishing. Trawl nets are designed to be towed by a boat through the water column (midwater trawl) or along the sea floor (bottom trawl). Trawl nets are shaped like a cone or funnel with a wide opening to catch fish or crustaceans and a narrow, closed 'cod-end'.” -Australian fishing and management authority.

While other types of fishing like rodding and using pots may less common, they still do not have the same destructive effects and impacts as trawling. (And dredging) Though you being a vegan may oppose all forms of fishing, I would like to argue that the most common method is the most destructive to both the environment, the consumer, and the fishing industry.

I’d actually love to be disproven that the main offenders of bycatch are on par with other fishing techniques. (As said before, rodding or pots. Or other techniques I don’t know about!)

There isn't much debate about long-linng vs trawling; you won't find anyone who thinks that trawling is not more harmful than rod catching. Long-lining is definitely better for bycatch and for sustainability more generally than trawling is, but that is a relative term and doesn't make it sustainable. Almost 90 percent of global marine fish stocks are now fully exploited or overfished, and there isn't enough information about the other 10% to say for sure that they aren't on the brink of collapse too, according to the Global Fishing Index.

In this context, the only rational conclusion is that no commercial fishing is sustainable, considering the crisis status that our oceans have reached. Fishing stocks are plummeting across the world, this type of fishing is less destructive, but frankly, we need protected marine spaces now rather than any kind of fishing at all. The only people who need to be fishing are subsistence fishing communities who rely on it to meet their nutritional needs.

Non-target species are still caught by line, and injuries from the hook or the shock of being caught and released often end in death regardless. In terms of waste, lines are better than nets, but much of it still ends up in the ocean as discarded plastic waste - much of the pacific garbage patch is made up of refuse from the fishing industry, both lines and trawling nets.

The checks in place for the fishing industry are just an absolute joke at this stage, there isn't even really any pretence that current levels of fish extraction can be sustained. It's a gold rush until there are no more fish to catch, then we all suffer for it. How we fish is sort of besides the point if we're intent on feeding this huge demand for fish, whether we catch them by trawling net or by line, those fish are still dead, and those fishing stocks still go down.

Even putting aside the fact that I think that we just should not be killing sentient beings when we absolutely do not need to, even solely in ecological terms, we just need to stop extracting fish from the ocean fullstop. The oceans need time to recover with widespread marine sanctuaries that are actually properly enforced, which can have a dramatic impact. We need radical action at this stage, and switching to a line instead of trawling nets is not nearly enough. Nothing at all wrong with your etiquette and I appreciate the thoughtful ask, but I'm afraid that anonymous asks are just not a format that works for an extended debate or discussion. It's too disjointed and just not very interesting for my followers, since they will be viewing each response often days apart and totally out of context. I've been questioning if I'm on the arospec and your blog seemed like a good place to ask, but please just delete this if you'd rather not answer. I've come to realize I don't necessarily want or prioritize romance for myself and while I like the idea of potentially being in a romantic relationship someday I'm uncomfortable with actually being romantic with someone. And when I think about it, I'd rather be by myself than have a romantic partner. Thing is, I do think I have felt real romantic attraction in the past and idk if the emotion I'm feeling now will last, especially because one of the only romantic relationships I've been in turned out badly for me so I'm worried I only dislike romance for myself because of that relationships residual effects (I used to question if I was ace a lot because of that, but I had gotten over the sexual-related effects before I even thought about if I was aro). Pretty much I'm really confused and stressed about this and if you had any advice or resources you could send, that'd be great. Thank you :)

the best i can offer is that it sounds like right now you may be aro. i don't know if anyone has ever told you about caedromantic and caedsexual, but i want to affirm that if any way you feel like the aro community helps you, or in some way provides you community right now - that is the most important thing to me. I don't turn people away from a support network based on identity if they think that identity may change. If you later find yourself experiencing romantic attraction, great! I'm glad that even if it's for a short time, the aro community can provide a space for you.
