when she was first starting out with seven it was just like. (and i say this with no judgement bc lol me tho) real deviantart type poetry fuck this shit i wanna just sleep and emulating a lot of other stuff around. stupidly long titles like FOB and kind of mashing things together and learning that yeah rhyming works 99% of the time and sucks to be you, jen, you gotta cut those sentences down to have flow. lots of trying to headbang while singing and sucking at it because she hadn't figured that shit out yet. but it was like stupid fun? not just singing in the shower at the top of her lungs or thinking this might be cool but not doing it. very experimental and emo and teenage but fun.

when the band like took off together w/ seven she definitely got a lil more shameless and started incorporating a lot of recent. discoveries into her songs, especially pre-dating seven. she judges UW for not being as poetic tbh. she can sing about sex and make it sexy, okay??? just ask her??? their lyrics are so gauche compared to hers. during this besides all that she definitely got more into a rhythm and style, not all purple prose but more flow and connection with story elements. but not all things written and sung got like 'finalised' by the group, they had a good spread of themes and story. some stuff she just sang to herself. also, some more political works started moving in, plus more personal ones especially about her parents LOL. her first show was recorded and when her grandparents requested seeing it, it was like the first time her parents were home as well in ages. she played it and was more annoyed at the lack of reaction or dismissive attitude more than anything. bluetooth speakered it everywhere to make a point.

post break up it was just like. pulling teeth to get her to write anything so she did end up flicking back through a lot of half assed abandoned works and cut out the duet parts, simplified or frankensteined them into something that remotely worked. so many love songs tho. even the ones that arent love songs are love songs. lots of blood sweat and tears went into her trying to sing as well. there is more stuff on the cutting room floor than released from the band, and lots of it are fragments of ideas or wishful thinking and also probably toooooo intimate for her to want to share but she kind of embraced that so that she could keep a pretty solid front of “this did not affect me emotionally. do not ask me anything or say a number near me however”. for the most part ppl seem to believe it but like. at the same time some ppl should know better,,, smh

and at the audition, well. singing one of their most popular love songs was a very ironic experience for her when she saw sev in the crowd. she's done a lot to not want the ground to swallow her whole but maaaaaaaannnnnnnn like. the irony was not lost on her.

Kouga: Sakuma-senpai ain’t even lookin’ over here! Stop spewin’ nonsense, Yuuta!

Yuuta: I noticed you do whatever Sakuma-senpai tells you to do, so I started having a bit of fun doing that…♪

Kouga: You lil’–!

Adonis: Hm. Stop messing around and do it properly, Oogami. And Yuuta, don’t say things that will provoke him. 

We’ll take in the performances of other units and show a new “UNDEAD” and “2wink”.

We’re all lacking in one area or another. If we try to do things the way we usually do, we won’t get anywhere.

That’s why we’ll show a new side to us in the video.

That’s what we decided we’d do, right?

Kouga: Yeah. They’ll be copyright issues if we completely copy the other units, so we were talkin’ ‘bout how we’d just imitate their elements, right?

Yuuta: Yeah. That’s why we figured we’d start off with “Ra*bits” first, so we were pretending to be rabbits.

Kouga: Tsk… I bet it must be fun for ya to be copyin’ the young and innocent “Ra*bits”, but they’re the exact opposite to us in our eyes.

Adonis: We get paired a lot with them despite that. I think it’s because we’re in the same agency. Otherwise, things would always be the same-old.

Kouga: Yeah… Both “UNDEAD” and “2wink” have kinda been involved with other units too lately.

In other words, it’s pretty easy copyin’ them ‘cause we��ve had the opportunity to observe and work with ‘em.

Adonis: Right. But we didn’t really do that. It’s mostly because Oogami would strongly refuse every time we tried something different.

Kouga: Huuh? You got a complaint or somethin’? It’s important stayin’ true to ourselves too, ya know?

Adonis: You’re right. But continuing conventional methods will only result in us gaining fame as a rock band like we did in “Nightless City Live”.

If we want to rise even higher, we need to be able to do even more things. We should incorporate new elements but still retain ourselves…

I can’t explain it properly but I think we need to show that new side of “UNDEAD”.

Kouga: Well, I get what ya sayin’. They’ve been recruitin’ people who can do a lotta things recently too. That’s the image a lot of job offers have been givin’.

It sounds nice when you say it’ll open a whole lotta doors. 

But the world’s lookin’ for more and more people who can do a bunch of things, so they tend to avoid units like “Valkyrie” who specialise in one area.

Adonis: It’s work. They’d rather have consistent junk food every day instead of eating a luxurious high-class meal on special occasions.

That’s what happens when they’re focusing on profit. Every time there is work, carefully selecting the most suitable idols takes effort and money.

In that case, it would be much easier and quicker to select idols who can do everything since you wouldn’t need to think about anything. That’s probably what they’re thinking.

Kouga: Keh, if they wanna skimp on the extra effort, then there’s plenty of stuff in the world that they can skimp out on.

Adonis: They need to minimise their effort and produce the next product otherwise they won’t be able to keep up with the demand. That must be how they see things – we’re currently living in a severely consumerist society

And idols aren’t considered art in the world right now – it’s a form of business. They want to spend as little as they can investing in them while selling them for a high price.

That’s what’s often seen as “correct”.

Kouga: I don’t like it~ I don’t like it one bit… It’s true you can profit more that way, though.

Adonis: If you don’t like it, then let’s change that.

If creating works crafted by artisans who put their heart into it with extra care is seen as the “correct” way, then…

Things will change. And in order to change things, we need to succeed – to win.

Kouga: So you’re sayin’ we need to twist and bend ourselves in order to grasp that victory?

Adonis: Yeah. First, let’s produce results in “SS”. There is a power – a radiance – large enough to change the way things are if you hold the title of the winner of “SS”.

Kouga: Hmph. Yeah. “Trickstar” are idiots. I can’t believe they let such a huge thing go.

Well, I guess it definitely sounds like something they’d do. I can’t imagine that stupid Akehoshi braggin’ and sayin’ stuff like “We’re the strongest~ We’re the best~”.

Idols are people who always think of their fans first, huh.

Last year… their interests just happened to coincide with the people who wanted to build ES.

But we’re different. Right, Adonis?

We don’t care about the political stuff or the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people – We’re just gonna play the kinda music we like the best!

That’s why I’m strummin’ that guitar and singin’ my throat out! Ain’t that right, Adonis!?

Adonis: Yeah. That’s your view on it and I’m also encouraged by that sort of primitive instinct. Although, I’m ultimately aiming for world peace.

I’m too weak to achieve that right now.

Kouga: Huuh? If you’re weak, then you just gotta get stronger. You’re not fightin’ all by yourself, right?

Adonis: You’re right. I believe I can overcome any obstacled that come our way if we work together.

Of course, that means I also don’t think it’s impossible for us to win “SS”.

Kouga: Yeah, of course! We’re “UNDEAD”, after all!

Adonis: Right. But what’s most important is after we win.

I think “SS” is proceeding based on a future on a far grander scale as opposed to something that’s right in front of us.

It feels as if “Trickstar” last year used their prize as they pleased to build ES’ so-called “utopia for idols”.

But I’m sure things will unfold differently this year.

Those who wish for ES’ growth will surely use the power they’ve gained to do that.

But on the other hand, those who don’t think fondly of ES will definitely use it to destroy them.

There will also be people who want to use it to fulfil their own personal goals and dreams.

It’s quite extreme but depending on who will dominate “SS”, it can definitely affect the future of the idol industry. No, perhaps, it can affect the future of the entire world.

listens to you talk about your old world for hours, and doesn't mind at all when you go on tangents about this one girl from your third grade class who totally stole your cow shaped eraser but never got in trouble for it. they want to know every little thing about your old world that you have to share; fun stories, sad stories, the lore from your favorite obscure tv show, tell them everything.

❧ lucia (gets so into the drama, what a nosy man lol), levy (thinks it's like having a poorly written book read to him), mikael, oswald (poor man tries to keep up but cannot wrap his head around some things, he tries tho and listens attentively)

if you mention a food or drink you love but can't seem to find in nightmare, they'll try to recreate it. they'll look through several cook books and have you taste test countless ingredients and products, just to see if they're getting close to the original from your world. when they eventually get it right, the recipe is copied down several times so that they'll always have it, and they make sure the ingredients are always easily accessible.

❧ kaim (you can't tell what his intentions were at first, but you understand after many instances of him shoving a spoon into your mouth to taste test and his frustration at trying to get it perfect), oswald (he's not the best at cooking but mans would grow all the ingredients and even do some gmo type stuff to get what you're looking for), noel (not a cook, but he tries, also does something similar to oswald)

doesn't really know how to handle it at first, they just can't really comprehend what you're feeling and understand why you miss the things you do so much. they aren't good at words of comfort, but thankfully their actions have always spoke louder than words; all they can offer you is a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and their best attempt to empathize with you. and sometimes that's really all you need.

❧ noel, levy (he's just awkward like that, but internally he's panicking, trying to figure out how to help), mefy (he's probably never been homesick in his life, but he knows the feeling of something being missing), mikael (he was more like this toward the beginning of him knowing you but he got better with handling it after a while), ricardo, kaim

tries to find similarities between your world and theirs. you mentioned a cute little cafe that sold delicious fruit parfaits? guess what, they found a cafe similar to what you described in town, and you'll never guess what's on their menu. there was a big tree you liked to climb as a kid that had a hole in its trunk where you stored little treasures? hey, come with them on a lil walk, they want to show you something. they're always on the look out whenever they go anywhere and keep your stories in mind, searching for little bits of your world in thiers.

❧ lucas, ricardo (he goes into town so often that he knows it like the back of his hand, he'll think of so many places to take you), noel (feels bad that he's not great at comforting you with words, so he takes you to places he feels are similar as a little surprise)

learns more about your home life, old routine, and even the culture you grew up in and tries to incorporate as much of it into your new life, and even their own, as possible. they'll let you add decorations to the room you share to make it feel more like your old home. they'll learn and use words or phrases you used in your day to day, heck if you're up for it they'll be down to learn your native language. they'll rearrange what they're used to in order to make your new normal feel like the old.

❧ oswald (i just feel like learning langauges and cultures comes easy for him, even tho he's not book smart), lucas, noel (he'll notice you doing something and just,, decide to do it too, albiet not entirely correct, but the way he looks over at you to see if you noticed and if you're happy makes you appreciate the effort), lucia (would love certain routines like siestas or tea time, he'd be like "why isn't this law??")

Now, I have read all your TF boys headcanons bc they are just SOOO good. I truly want to praise every word, but that seemed like it would make the ask way too long so I just licked some highlights:

Benny having struggled with bulimia bc of his athletic background was such a genius way to incorporate his characterisation and to write one of the most heartbrakingly realistic aspects of mental health struggles, which is that when it happens to someone you love it can feel so different from how it feels when it's haopening to you. Like SO so often when we hear negative self-talk from friends it is to say "that's not true" but when we look at ourselves the negative things we think feel like it's just the truth. The way Benny was basically doing the same thing but with bulimia (it's "justified" when he does it but he can't figure out for the life of him why his partner, whom he thinks if so highly, would do such a thing) was such a well thought-out detail.

Will being extra excited about the pie in the acts of service love language headcanon? ADORABLE

Hello again!!!! so happy to hear from you!

As far as life update, im getting through it. I saw a childhood friend the other day which was nice. She and I have known each other for like 16 years and despite each of of moving around we've managed to see each other like once a year or more. This year we've about an hour and a half apart but she went to visit her mom and we met up for coffee with her new baby so that was nice. I told her I wasnt myself and didnth think i'd be good company, but she said she wanted to see my if i was up for it, weather or not i'd be "fun." She also brought me a lil care packege and I got to hold her two month old baby <3

Hoping to make it to shabbat tomorrow which i think will be nice, haven't been able to go since Rosh Hashanah

Every kind of person can fall victim to abuse, and I appreciate Marc's defense of her and caretaking but still trying to allow her her dignity. Like in chapter 3 at the end, Steven meeting Becca he was trying to hard to make her feel welcomed, take away her worries like paying for things but that's not what Rebecca wants. She wants to be indipendant and relying on Marc is embaressing to her.

You mentioned before that you wanted to check out leather and lace, and 0 pressure but the fun thing with that is it's a whole universe, so if you choose to keep going, after that is Frankie's story, and im currently working on Will's, then Benny's. It'll be touched on in Will's story but come up more in Benny's, his struggle with bulimia. I think about these boys a lot and have a lot of hc's that are canon to me, like benny having a drinking problem and eating disorder, Frankie loving grunge, Sant always has an older sister to me and the Miller boy's dad was abusive.

"Hey, uh, let's go in this store over here," Y/N said abruptly as she and Hotch walked through the mall.

"I thought you wanted to go to the makeup store. It's down that way," he questioned, pointing in the opposite direction.

"Yeah, but-"

"Y/N!" a voice called. A woman around Y/N's age walked up, soon followed by two more women around her age.

"Hi, Claire," Y/N replied awkwardly.

"Who is this?" Hotch asked as he placed his arm around Y/N's back. Y/N wanted to do like she normally would and melt into the feeling of his hand on her waist, but instead, she tensed up at the idea of the conversation she knew was about to take place.

"Aaron, this is Claire, Vanessa, and Stephanie. I used to go to college with them. Ladies, this is Aaron, my husband," Y/N said, signaling to each person as she said their name.

"Wow, congratulations," Vanessa commented.

"I'm surprised to say the least," Stephanie butted in.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Y/N asked, her face falling slightly.

"Well, I just figured someone with your… condition wouldn't ever get married."

"My condition?" Y/N blinked, trying to understand what her former classmates were talking about.

"You know, how you're," Vanessa said at regular volume before finishing in a whisper, "Appalled by sex."

Y/N rolled her eyes and scoffed before trying to walk away. "Come on, Hotch."

"No, I'm curious as to what other things these ladies have to say about you. I wonder if their stupidity is contagious or if it's just a chronic illness they all happen to have," he argued.

"Stupidity?!" Claire asked, taken aback.

"Yes. If you weren't stupid, you'd know first off that asexuality isn't a condition. Second of all, asexuality does not mean she's appalled by sex. It just isn't something for Y/N. Third of all, someone's sexuality or the lack thereof is none of any of your business," Hotch rebutted, before pulling Y/N away.

Y/N breathed a sigh of relief, though she wondered how the three women had somehow managed to become even more stupid than they were in college.

"I see now why you wanted to get away from them as quickly as you could."

"You would've hated them during their college days," Y/N said with a fake chuckle.

"I'm not so sure I don't hate them now," he commented, kissing her forehead.

The two continued on walking through the busy mall, though the conversation didn't leave Y/N's mind. Instead, thoughts of doubt, guilt, and anxiety filled her mind. Thoughts like, "What if they were right?" and "Maybe I don't deserve Hotch," were just a couple of examples. She wondered if they were right. Did Hotch really have a problem with her asexuality?

"Y/N, may I come in?" Hotch asked through the door.

When they'd made it home, Y/N covered up her sadness by stating she wasn't feeling well and heading off to their bedroom. Unluckily for her, however, was the fact that her husband could read her moods like one of his favorite books.

"Uh, just a minute!" she shouted back, immediately hopping up. She shoved all of her used tissues into a pile before sprinting to the bathroom to throw them away.

"What are you doing?" Hotch asked upon entering the room, spotting his wife with handfuls of snotty tissues.

"Uh -" she tried to think of an explanation, but it was no use.

"Have you been crying over what those assholes said to you earlier?" he asked point blankly.

"I… yes."

"Y/N-"

"Aaron, I know you said you didn't care. I know you said my sexuality doesn't change how much you love me but…" her voice trailed off.

Hotch walked over to his wife, wrapping his arms around her before leading her over to the bed. The two climbed onto the bed, their limbs still intertwined as they lay in the middle of the already unmade sheets.

"Look, I know you tell me not to be, but I've been really insecure today about whether or not I deserve to be with you, ever since they said what they did," Y/N admitted, feeling a couple tears sliding down from her eyes.

"First of all, I do not care about that. I love you for you, no matter your sexuality. Second of all, if anyone doesn't deserve anyone around here, it's me. You are the most amazing woman to walk on earth. How could I ever deserve someone so amazing?" he asked, ending his statement by kissing Y/N on the head.

"I know, but I feel like I'm letting you down. I mean, what wife deprives her husband of the one thing men love most?"

"The one thing I love most is you. Last I checked, you haven't deprived me of seeing you or being with you, therefore, there's no possible way you could be letting me down."

Y/N smiled through her silent tears, knowing she'd picked a good one. She leaned into.his embrace, taking in his scent. For the first time that day, she'd felt a moment of peace in her mind.

Just then, Y/N and Hotch hear a light knock on the door. The two obviously knew who it was, but Hotch was quick to call, "Who is it?"

"It's me, Daddy," Jack answered on the other side of the door.

"Come in," he replied lightly.

Jack walked in, observing the scene. Even for someone so young, he was good at reading people and assessing situations quickly. Hotch often joked that being a profiler ran in the Hotchner genes.

"What's wrong, Mama?" the six-year-old asked when he realized his stepmother had tear-stained cheeks and puffy eyes.

"Just something that someone said to Mama today. It hurt my feelings but Daddy was making me feel a little better."

Jack crawled into the bed, resting his head on Y/N's lap. He looked up at her with somewhat sleepy eyes as he said, "Daddy always tells me I shouldn't let mean words from bullies take up so much space in my head. It doesn't leave any room for happy thoughts."

Y/N shed a few more tears, these ones being happy tears. "I suppose he's right."

"Of course I'm right," Hotch joined back in before kissing Y/N's head once more, "I'm Aaron friggin' Hotchner. I'm always right."

Y/N scoffed, rolling her eyes with sarcasm. "Well, Aaron friggin' Hotchner, can getting takeout be the right decision for dinner tonight?"

"Let me think," he said, pausing dramatically for a moment, "My Hotchner scale indicates that takeout would be the right decision."

Y/N rolled her eyes once more, but this time, it was out of love. For a split second, she thought about what Stephanie said, except now, instead of feeling sad and insecure, it further proved one thing: marrying Aaron Hotchner was the right decision, the best decision she'd ever made.

life is strange true colours review

the non spoilery part: i LOVED this game, my personal fave game this year and the first franchise entry since the original that has really resonated with or moved me.

it's a life is strange game through and through, so if you don't like slice of life episodes or bonding with NPCs, it's not gonna be for you. but if you like the franchise, or even if you liked the first game but haven't been interested in/liked the other two instalments, i recommend giving this one a chance. i think it got closer to figuring out the formula while still doing something new and interesting.

alex

holy shit i love alex? bisexual chad... my darling... i'm gonna be real, a lot of the trailers and promo for this game made me worried she'd be kind of a dull wallflower Soft Girl character, but she's not! she's so funny, and even parts of her characterization i initially thought were maybe a bit of a stretch ended up making sense as i learned more about her. she stole the show. i straight up forgot how much loving the protag helps enjoyment of these kinds of games lmao ... finally a reason to click on everything in the room: to hear what alex will say about it.

i thought her backstory exploration in ep 5 especially was wonderful and emotive and great. broke my heart and explained so much about her :( baby girl

plot/choices

i loved the mystery. i don't think it was quite as Mysterious as the mystery in lis1, but that was okay, i was still invested in solving it. i also got invested enough in the NPCs around the town to make all the exploration bits really fun. i loved eavesdropping on the sagas of the random NPCs like bald man and ice cream couple... just fun little touches and narratives to follow that i enjoyed.

i really appreciated this script not being afraid to shy away from some messier emotions, even if in some cases i wish we spent more time on them. for example: alex feeling a bit jealous of the other people in town that got to know gabe better than her/spend more time with him than she did. or charlotte hating ethan!!! my jaw dropped, i thought that was so good, what a messy but realistic response.

I'm not entirely sure what all the ramifications of different choices are at this point, fresh off my first play. i ended up getting only part of the council to stand with me (eleanor & duckie) while losing pike and charlotte.

i do wish we saw a bit more fallout or exploration of what taking away emotion DOES. i took charlotte's anger, and obviously it meant she didn't stand up for me in the council meeting, but where does she go from there? does she like... ever return to feeling emotions lmao... I also think we probably should've had the opportunity to do that another time, instead of just 2 isolated events -- I think Diane would've been a good candidate.

the romance

i romanced steph, ofc, but i was surprised during the game how drawn i was to ryan too -- i really liked that Drama of him being the one who cut Gabe free, as well as later the drama of him being Jed's son. UNTIL HE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME... that made me mad lmfao, i have to learn what to do to make him believe me before i play a Ryan route bc i'll kill him lmfao.

the steph/alex romance was sweet... it didn't really, like, Consume Me as a ship, but by the end of the game I was still "aww"ing at their moments in the flashforward. steph was more rounded and flawed than i thought she might be, which i really appreciated! i was worried they'd just make her perfect idealized gf, but she has a bit of a temper and is kind of tempestuous and stuff... liked it. loved her standing up for alex so fiercely and immediately at the council meeting <3 and my main reservation about her in ep 4 was that i wanted alex to stay in haven, so when she offered to stay i was thrilled LOL

one semi-complaint i had was that something i loved so much about lis1 was how max and chloe's relationship was central to the entire game and story, it wasn't some extra thing on the side, it WAS the game... whereas here, the romance routes, especially steph's, felt like sidequests. I wish they'd found a way to incorporate those relationships a bit more into the main goings-on. I also wanted to spend more time with either romance option to feel like I knew them better -- splitting the time between Steph and Ryan means that I came away feeling like I didn't get quite as much of either of them as I would've liked, vs spending almost the entire game with Chloe lol.

however, this ended up not really bothering me too much because I DID really like the core mystery and themes, the exploration of grief and Emotion, etc.

other characters

considering everyone knew going into the game that gabe was going to die, i was impressed with how they did it, and how they managed to get me attached to gabe in a mere single episode. it's a tall order to introduce a character designed to die, who your audience KNOWS is going to die, and still make them work.

i thought this supporting cast was ... maybe the strongest in the franchise? or at least, they created scenarios where i felt invested in multiple people in the town, and was genuinely trying to build decent relationships with most of them. duckie cracked me tf up, i liked eleanor and riley, even diane and jeb were good for their roles. (fuck pike. i signed ur stupid thing and left your emotions alone and you still won't do shit? ACAB!!!) the choice to stay in haven or leave was a little harder than i expected honestly, considering how quickly i let arcadia bay burn to the ground lmfao.

gameplay/etc

also i know the whole internet has been dunking on "empathy" as a super power since the game was announced, and i get that it sounds corny and looks corny in the trailers, but i thought how they did it was really cool. i wish they'd branded it "Mindreading" more than empathy tbh because a lot of the cooler elements of it are more along those lines... using her power to manipulate people, potentially taking people's emotions away and what that does to them... very interesting imo!

i really liked the memory feature!!! cool way to give us character exposition and inform the story while encouraging exploration. finally a collectible that like, expands the story, instead of chloe drawing butts on the wall and sean taking 10 years to draw something.

it's definitely the most evolved-feeling LIS game, which it should be, given it's the newest. graphics looked really nice, loved getting to see the characters actually emote, even if there are still some scenes that were a lil comically blank-faced -- usually NPCs. i actually noticed this with Jed the most, which in retrospect maybe was somewhat intentional?

i had a number of visual glitches, nothing major but a little silly, like T-posing Alex, npcs t-posing in the windows, etc. i'm sure they'll get patched out soon.

anyway... i rly liked this game, i'm excited for the steph dlc and finally feel like i have reason to be optimistic about future LIS instalments. hooray!

Hello! Can I get MCU, The Hobbit, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. ship? 💚

Appearance: She/her. 179,5cm tall, rectangle body shape. Fair skin complexion with quite a few birthmarks. Dyed brown with honey-red highlights, shoulder-length, straight hair with bangs. The left eye is a mix of two colors – a smaller portion of (darker) greyish-blue and a larger portion of hazel; while the right eye is just a (lighter) greyish-blue. Personality (good and bad traits): Ever since I was a kid, I was always quite mature for my age – I identify myself as an old soul. I come off as polite and well-mannered to strangers, yet I tend to keep it to myself by being reserved. But, that’s because I have social anxiety and I’m nervous and shy when meeting/talking to people. The only people I’m comfortable with being with my inner circle – closest friends and family. I am usually more “open” with my friends than with my family. With my friends I can be my “truest-self” – I smile more, I laugh more, I feel more accepted and understood. I am the mom and the fashionista of the group. Don’t get me wrong, I am fiercely protective of my family, especially of my mother and younger sister. But, lately, I’ve been feeling like the “black sheep” of the family, Cinderella who’s been taken advantage of. I express my affection for the people I care about in little, but practical, ways. I can be a little stiff when it comes to open, gushy displays of affection. Others turn to me for help and advice. I’m kind-hearted and generous, always ready to help a person in need. Always have been motherly towards children. Very awkward at keeping small talk (usually with people that I’m not that close with). Absolutely, hate speaking in front of a public, and if I do, because of my nervousness, I tend to mess up my words and/or I practice whatever I’m about to say in my head at first. I appreciate the simplicity and am often most comfortable when I’m not getting too much attention from the world. I am sensitive – both to criticism and to others’ feelings (I sponge up the feelings and moods of people and the environment around me). Have a hard time saying no or expressing my true thoughts, feelings. I get influenced by other people’s opinions/thoughts quite hard (I take everything to the heart), that is why I tend to keep a lot to myself (may come off as a little bit tense, secretive, mysterious). I avoid the harsh reality by daydreaming (almost every day) – imagining myself in situations far from my current circumstances. Sort of like a self-escape. I worry a lot and overthink almost everything. I am easily distracted and my attention span can be quite short. I have an internal struggle between my needs and wants. I can lack focus and be indecisive as a result – when I decide on one route, I am pulled in another direction at the same time (“But what if…”, “on the other hand...”). That is why I’m having a bit of a struggle with deciding what I want to do in the future (career-wise). I am easily overwhelmed by pressure and stress. There is a self-destructive side to me (self-critical, lack of self-confidence) that I’m working on by confronting my fears (coming out of my shell). Don’t like taking pictures, or other people taking pictures of me. I feel most content when I’ve straightened out all the details of everyday life. I have a routine, that I follow by mostly every day, and if something small changes in that routine, I start to have a small internal anxiety attack. Also, I like to do things my own way, like, when it comes to cleaning the house or organizing stuff, etc. I get triggered even if people don’t do the laundry the way I do. I guess you could describe me as a perfectionist, clean/control freak. In triggering situations I can be impulsive, spontaneous, quick to act. Quick flare-ups of anger/annoyance when being provoked on my patience. Even when I’m feeling low, I manage to find humor in life and have fun with whatever I do have. Although I tend to bottle things up, I am an emotional person and my emotions are genuine – I love and care deeply and passionately and wish no ill will upon anyone, yet it hards for me to imagine someone falling in love with me or just liking me.

Hobbies, likes: My hobbies are cleaning, writing (re-writing song lyrics, making small notes, writing stories), listening to any type of music, catching up on my favorite films and TV shows, hanging out with friends, going to the cinema, or the club, being out in nature, reading, traveling. I like history, cooking, fashion magazines (or fashion in general), road trips, spirituality, mythology, books, orange juice, previous decades, cottage-core, dark academia.

For the MCU/Marvel - I ship you with Steve Rogers/Captain America ! 

no one can tell me that Steve doesn’t have a set routine honestly, so let me just get that out there 

he seems intimidating at first, esp as a public figure and Avenger, but Steve is nothing but passionate about what he does. so it may clash w your lack of direction, but I could honestly see him envying that a lil bit, like it’s not that you don’t have direction, it’s the fact that you still have a choice in the matter. 

your love of history put you in a museum, here you bumped into Steve in a horrible disguise. he struck up the conversation first, and once you got past the whole “holy crap that’s Captain America”, you could actually engage with him in the material and boi was he smitten 

he would love to join you when your rewatched your fave things, bc not only is he catching up on more media he missed out on, he’s also getting to know your interests in a way that’s comfortable with you. it avoids all the small talk, but leaves room for discussion after the film/show ! 

since you tend to sponge up a lot of what other people believe, it’s totally Steve who actually tries to question what you think and what you feel about things. he’s someone who encourages you to have your own opinions and to stay true to those thoughts. so while with him, you can rely on him to learn about yourself, you also gain skills for independence

overall, Steve is super patient, and despite his chaotic job as Cap, he takes comfort in his routine, and would find comfort incorporating a partner’s routine into his life. and as you grow in a relationship with him, he’s patient about teaching you how to be your own person, and helping you learn more about yourself. and while it’s uncomfortable, you grow stronger throughout being with him :) 

For The Hobbit - I ship you with Bilbo Baggins !

Bilbo is the definition of introvert, and you're right there with him

not that introversion is ever a bad thing, bc it isn't. but Bilbo is quite content to sit in his little hobbit hole and vibe. like Gandalf had to come find him, ya know. dude disappeared from his own bday.

but anyways. it's not that Bilbo lacks purpose, it's just that he's more content with a quieter life. and it seems like his quiet life would balance you out well! like the Shire is so so chill, and there doesn't really seem to be a lot of pressure on the hobbits to pick a profession. like they just genuinely do what needs to get done.

similarly, Bilbo is the type who seems a little bothered by mushy displays of affection. exhibit a: disappearing from his own bday. like he's much more the type to refill your tea when y'all are reading by the fireplace, which he would totally do w you

it will probs take you a little while to warm up to each, given just how introverted you both are. but when he explains that he has set ways of doing things, then if they're compatible w your ways of doing things, then it doesn't take you long to open up to him

like it'll be a little jarring, but he takes comfort in his routines too. and it'll be an event trying to incorporate both of your ways of life together, but he's willing to do it

overall, yours is a very quaint partnership, built on deep respect for one another. neither of you are going to push the other to do things you aren't into. and y'all just live your best lives together tbh :)

For The Man From U.N.C.L.E - I ship you with Illya Kuryakin !

I love my big Russian spy so much, so this is fun for me

so Illya is the epitome of reserved and generally quiet, so it might take a while to really break down his walls and talk to him. and he's not quite sure what to do with you once you join the team

but, he's playing his game of chess alone, and when you sit down and ask to play with him, he opens up a little more after that

if you're one who get sent out on mission with the team, get ready, bc sometimes those missions require a lot of improvising. but you'd probably be at whatever 'base' was, helping run operations from a more secure place. but Illya and Napoleon improvise a lot, leading to a lot of headaches for you and Waverly

Illya has small bursts of anger, but similar to Gaby, most times, you can intervene and he doesn't get violent. or when he does, he tries to make sure it isn't in front of you. but bc you care so deeply for him, you're there for him in the aftermath. and that's how you show your love for him.

by patching him up if he gets cut, by talking him down when he's angry. and just generally trying to take care of him. and he totally does the same for you, especially if you get sent out into the field

and much to Illya's dismay, Solo doesn't refrain form making jokes about you. but if you can take them in stride, then Solo welcomes you into the team just as well :)

Hey!!!! I was wondering if you could write a scenario for Toby confessing to his s/o 😳👉👈 - dancing parrot 🐦🎶🐦🎶

Okay so I wasn’t quite sure where I wanted to go with this, I had so many ideas it was hard to choose so I kind of meshed two of my favorite ideas into one lol. I hope it’s okay, it’s my longest (I’m pretty sure anyway) little scenario yet and I’m nervous/excited to post it. I personally think it’s kinda cute but uh let me know guys 😅 I also had it be Toby confessing that he has a crush on the reader, and for the purposes of this scenario the reader is female (I tried, but it’s harder than I thought to write gender neutral scenarios) 

NOTE: I am trying out different ways to incorporate Toby’s tics into the writing, because I think it is an important part of his character and I want to honor that while having it be respectful and also easier to read. I put his tics in * * so that it is easier to see when he’s having a verbal tic because otherwise it can look a lil funky. Let me know if this was an okay way to go about it, I’m still learning! 

🪓 Toby Confesses To His (Female) S/O  🪓

"Dude, stop star-staring. You're making it weird." Toby whispered to BEN, who was currently staring intently at you from a distance.

"How do you think I'm gonna help you if I don't know what I'm doing?" BEN barely glanced at Toby, who was fidgeting nervously beside him.

After a couple of seconds, BEN turned to Toby. "I don't know, dude. I need to see you guys in action."

"What does that mean?" Toby asked.

"Just go over and talk. Act natural. I need to see the vibe between you two." BEN said, nudging Toby towards you despite his whispers of protest.

Seeing Toby walk slowly towards you, you turned and greeted him. "Hey, Toby. What are you doing?"

"Uh, nothing. Just, uh, j-just walking..? He trailed off uncertainly.

You didn't seem to mind his awkward behavior, and continued to chat with him for another minute or two. Well, it was more like you were chatting at him rather than with him. Toby was just standing there uncomfortably, as he tried to will all of his tics away for a few minutes. It's hard when he's nervous and trying to make himself look good in front of you. Suddenly, you were being pulled away by one of the other pastas who wanted your opinion on something. Toby watched you leave the room, waving goodbye as you went.

"Dude. That was literally the worst thing I've ever seen." BEN appeared beside Toby, laughing.

"Knock *knock who's there?* knock it off." Toby gave him a slight shove.

"I can't help you if you're gonna be a dweeb about it." BEN shrugged.

"I'm not being a dweeb!" Toby cried indignantly.

"Okay, sure." BEN rolled his eyes.

"So?" Toby asked eagerly.

"So, what?"

"So, does she like me too?"

"I mean, she must like you at least a little. You were standing there like a goober, and she didn't care."

"BEN!"

"I'm sorry, but that was some classic comedy material right there. I could have made, like, a dozen jokes about the whole thing. All I'm saying is, she didn't take a golden opportunity to make fun of you, so maybe you do stand a chance after all."

"Okay, well, are you gonna help me *hide the body* help me win her over or what?" Toby crossed his arms.

"Nah. It's too much fun to watch you make a fool out of yourself." BEN grinned.

"Dude, seriously?"

"Look, I may be a man of talent, but I can't pass my flirt skills on to you. They'd just go to waste, man."

"Thanks a lot." Toby huffed.

"The best advice I can give you is to just relax, man. Just chill out, and don't act like you have rigor mortis. The whole time she was talking to you, you were rooted to the spot and your limbs were all tight. Don't do that. Just be loose and let it happen, you know?"

"Do you think I should tell her how I feel?" Toby asked timidly, shifting his weight from side to side. He really did like you. And he didn't always get so nervous around you, he reasoned to himself. He was better in groups, at least, when some of the attention was off of him.

"I don't know." BEN shrugged.

"You're talking about Y/N, right?" Hoodie asked, stepping into the room.

"Jesus, man, you scared the shit out of me!" BEN yelped.

"Sorry. Toby, do you have a crush on Y/N?"

"No! Why would you think *clink clink clink* that?"  

"You're pretty obvious about your feelings, Toby."

"D-do you think she knows?" Toby asked, dread crawling through his body. "I mean, it doesn't m-matter, it's not like I like her or anything, I just want to know." He added quickly, trying to cover his tracks.

"No, I don't think so." Hoodie replied, after a moment of thought.

"Why do you care?" BEN asked Hoodie, peering at him suspiciously.

Hoodie shrugged. "I don't care too much. Just figured Toby would want to know if she was dating somebody else. I mean, if he did like her." Hoodie cocked his head to the side, looking at Toby through his mask.

"W-what do you mean? She's dating somebody?" Toby's hand began to involuntarily rub at his neck.

"Not yet anyway. But I did hear that Jeff might ask her out." Hoodie said casually.

"Jeff? Tha-" BEN's words were quickly cut off by Hoodie smacking him in the side. Toby's mind was too preoccupied with visions of you and Jeff together, that he didn't notice.

"S-shit. Do... do you think she'd say y-yes?" Toby asked apprehensively.

"I don't know. But if you did have feelings for Y/N, which you say you don't, but if you did then you should probably tell her how you feel before Jeff does. Just in case." Hoodie said pointedly.

Toby nodded his head several times before yelling about how he had to do something (something totally unrelated) and then dashing out of the room.

Toby ran down the lengths of the corridors, desperate to find you before Jeff could. His heart pinched to think of what would happen if you did decide to go out with Jeff. He couldn't bear it.

Toby was so lost in his thoughts that he narrowly missed running directly into Sally, who was wandering the halls as well.

"Sorry, Sally, I gotta go." Toby puffed, out of breath.

"Toby! You gotta come play with me!" Sally looked at him with eyes full of childish begging.

"Not now, Sal." Toby bounced impatiently, waiting for her to move.

"Toby Rogers, you come play with me right now!" Sally crossed her arms. "Or I'll tell Slendy that you were being mean to me."

Toby looked down at her in shock. "You wouldn't."

Sally stuck her tongue out playfully. Toby sighed, then ran his hands through his hair in frustration.

"Fine! *Fine wine, very fine wine* I-I'll go play with you. But it has to be quick, I'm really *busy bee* busy!" Toby pleaded.

"Okey-dokey!" Sally exclaimed happily, grabbing Toby's hand and pulling him along to her playroom.

When Toby entered Sally's playroom, he was expecting to find the table set for tea, with various stuffed animals positioned into chairs and dressed in different colored tutus. That wasn't a surprise. What was an unexpected surprise, however, was finding you sitting in one of Sally's pink plastic chairs. Toby skidded to a stop, like a deer in headlights, taking in the sight of you perched in the tiny chair with a princess tiara on your head.

"Hi, Toby." You waved slightly. "Like the tiara?"

"Uh, yeah. It, um, it looks-it looks great." Toby stuttered out.

"We're going to play Princess Tea Time." Sally announced loudly, putting on a tiara of her own. 

"Y/N and I are going to be princesses, of course." Sally gestured to the matching tiaras.

"Tickles and Marmalade will be the Ladies-in-Waiting." Sally pointed to a pink bear and a blue triceratops. "Larry is going to be a knight, and my very romantic fiance." She gestured to a manatee.

"And Toby is going to be the prince from another kingdom that comes to tea!" Sally beamed.

Toby plastered a big fake smile on his face before Sally's game of play-pretend began.

The three of you had been playing for a good twenty minutes, and Toby had been having a good time in spite of the circumstances. He had been enjoying himself enough to have forgotten about the whole Jeff thing entirely. Sally was serving real cookies, and there was fruit punch in the pink teapot. Sally is an excellent little actress, and she had adopted an over-the-top British accent to go with her whole "diva princess madly in love with the lowly knight" vibe that she had going. Toby found himself relaxing as time went on, and he found his ability to actually converse like a normal person. He had even made a few jokes that you'd laughed at.

However, Sally decided it was high time to raise the stakes of her little game.

"Prince Toby, what just fell out of your pocket?" Sally asked, pointing to a spot of nothing on the floor. She leaned over to pick up nothing off the floor, then pretended to 'read' whatever it was. She gasped dramatically, hands over her heart.

"Prince Toby! This letter states your love for Princess Y/N!" Sally exclaimed. "And just when were you going to confess to my dear sister?"

"I-I-um, I-" Toby stuttered, unable to think of how to play along. This was becoming too close for comfort.

"It's true?!" Sally gasped dramatically once more, ignoring Toby's failed acting attempt. "Good heavens! Sister, what do you think?"

"I... I don't know, dear sister. What ever should I do?" You asked Sally, half-playing along.

"Well, we have to determine if Prince Toby's love for you is true." Sally turned to Toby excitedly. He stared at her blankly in return. 

"Well? Go on, tell her how you feel." Sally urged.

Toby looked at you and suddenly words starting coming out of his mouth that seemed to stumble right from his heart. "I don't know how to act when I'm around you, because you make me so nervous. You're the most amazing person I've ever met in my life. You're like... like a goddess to me. You're so beautiful, and kind, and you're always so nice to me of all people, and I really wanted to tell you this before, especially since there's other guys that want your heart, but I was scared of what you'd say..." Toby trailed off, heart racing. "I, uh, that's how the prince, I mean me, that's how I feel about you. Princess Y/N." Toby tripped over his words, trying to act like it was all part of the game.

"Now that was romantic." Sally sighed happily.

The game ended shortly after that, due to Slender calling Sally downstairs so she could watch some cartoons that she liked, which was a good thing since Toby could hardly bring himself to look you in the eyes. He worried that you had read between the lines and realized that his words were actually true. Sally had just skipped out of the room when Toby stood and faced you. You stood as well, plucking your tiara from your head and fiddling with it.

"That was a pretty intense game." You half-laughed after several beats of awkward silence.

"Y-yeah, it was." Toby looked at the ground.

"Sally's got quite the imagination."

"Yeah. *Yeah, yeah*"

"You do too."

"What?"

"I mean, coming up with that whole thing about how the prince feels about the princess? That was pretty creative."

"Oh, yeah... about that..." Toby trailed off. "S-sorry if I made you uncomfortable or anything."

"No, no, it's fine. You were just playing the part." You smiled to try to put his obvious nerves at ease.

"But-but I wasn't." Toby looked you in the eyes.

"You weren't?"

"No, I..." Toby drew in a deep breath. "I really like you."

"In what way?" You asked, half in a whisper.

"That-that way. The-the lovey kind of way?" Toby half-whispered back, unsure of your reaction.  

"Really?" Your eyes brightened with hope.

"I like you so much and I really want to be your-your....your prince." Toby looked down at his hands, before glancing back at you. "If-if you want me to. I get it if you d-don't like me..."

"No!" You cut him off. "I like you, too."

"In that same way?" Toby glanced at you hopefully.

"Yes. In that same lovey kind of way." You repeated his words with a smile on your face.

Toby's entire face lit up with joy as he pulled you in close for a hug and maybe a kiss.

"Guess things worked out for old Toby after all." BEN mentioned to Hoodie after the two of you announced to the mansion later that day that you were together.

"I guess they did." Hoodie commented. 

"What about the whole Jeff thing, though? He never mentioned anything to me, and I'm his best friend, and then you practically body-slammed me earlier when I was talking about it." BEN turned to face Hoodie.

"Oh, I made that all up." Hoodie said casually taking a sip of the drink he was holding.

"What? Dude, why?" BEN shook his head in confusion.

"Because," Hoodie began as he looked across the room at the happy new couple, "he would never have told her otherwise if I didn't give him just a little push."

The Last Olympian Thoughts

So because I have absolutely 0 self-control or restraint when it comes to this series and its characters, and for The Last Olympian in particular, I could not put TLO down. Because of this I figured I couldn’t do the usual photo reaction posts I have been so far, because the spam would just be ridiculous, so I am stealing the idea from @yourstrulytaaay​ to do a masterpost instead. (Adding a Read More cause this got ridiculously long)

Fun fact, TLO came out right after i finished reading the series for the first time so it's the first PJO book i bought  and my only hard cover one for the og series. I checked the year and turns out it was published 2009, which means i was actually 9 when i read the series for the first time. I realize this is not really a fun fact but i thought i was older when I first read the series so it's blowing my mind a little ‘cause now I’m 21 and everything hits different and i still have so much love for this series and the characters Okay onto book thoughts: - i was right that this book is gonna destroy me, the first line alone made me so excited and nostalgic it's ridiculous - I love Rachel and Percy sm tbh. Her being a bit of peace and normalcy in his life without always reminding Percy of who and what he is is so good for him. Just a little escape

- of course by the end of the book that's not the case any more but by the end he's lived his prophecy so he doesn't need it as badly, plus he and Annabeth are solid again - Percy saying Annabeth has been hard to be around lately... Ouch my heart. Luke really is the last thing that keeps them from being together and Percy is so jealous and Annabeth so torn and in pain, i feel so bad for them both

- Beckendorf 🥺🥺 - the telkhine with the Lil Demon lunchbox!! I forgot about him. Percy: 'i left him alive, partly because his lunchbox was cool' is one of my absolute favourite lines tbh - Paul taking Percy crabbing and being imperative in helping Percy kill the giant crab 💖 Paul Blofis is important and deserves the world, okay? - aw Percy, you can't save every demigod bb

- 'i had to fight him eventually. Why not now?... What difference would a week make?' Oh Percy you have no idea - real talk tho, the fact Kronos possessed Luke's body would also mess me tf up. Percy keeps forgetting it's not Luke anymore and yeah, that would be so so hard and confusing af, like what another smart little mind game for Kronos to pull on top of everything else - the fact Percy fights Kronos before getting the Achilles Curse and actually doesn't die within seconds is... Astounding. He kicks him in the chest! And yeah Kronos is weaker and still adjusting to Luke's body, but Percy is having trouble fighting Luke cause they used to be friends - Percy breaks Kronos' time magic!! Like?! Boy is POWERFUL.

- OUCH - honestly Luke, Thalia and Annabeth's family breaking the way it did... Don't talk to me. Poor Annabeth, Luke betrayed them, Thalia joined the Hunters because of Luke's betrayal so she's pretty much AWOL all the time and then Luke dies. Like Rick wtf, my heart can't take it? -Percy and Tyson having each others backs when talking to Poseidon in the underwater palace is the brother-brother relationship we love to see - Percy trying to stick a sand dollar in the vending machines at school 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ - the whole underwater interaction at Poseidon's palace? Perfection. Awkward family drama and all - Connor falling out of the tree when he sees Percy because he's so excited 😂😂

- k, ik Clarisse isn't perfect but tbh if i was a child of Ares whose father was disrespected and hated by my fellow campers (ares deserves it but still) and that disrespect trickled down to how the other campers treated ME (which if Percy is reliable here, it obviously does) then i would also be irritated at being used for muscle and nothing else? And just expected to fight with the people who act as if they'd rather not have Ares kids around the rest of the time. Like Clarisse isn't totally wrong - Percy reading the prophecy, seeing he's meant to die and just being like 'i do not see it' and refusing to outright think about it makes me so sad for him - (but it taints every action after and he's super reckless afterwards bc of it- including finally breaking and accepting the Achilles Curse) - (also him taking this as the last straw and finally beginning to show Annabeth how he really feels, cause fuck it, he's dying anyway) - Give me more info about Rachel's backstory and family Rick!! -  how did i forget Percy willingly eats chocolates that taste like cardboard because 'i didnt have anything against cardboard' like sir? Ik Silena didn't want them but still? - 'she'd always been cute, but she was starting to be seriously beautiful' STOP, MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT - Percy staring at Annabeth and forgetting what they're talking about cause hes so distracted 👌🏻

- hmm yeah... For some strange reason.... - i forgot how Percy totally bombs this convo bw them and now want to cry 😭 Annabeth is trying to talk about what's important and Percy, you sweet oblivious man, you're shooting her down without even realizing - love that they're both on the same wavelength tho. Percy two lines before, hmm it's cool to date ppl from other cabins, wonder why im thinking that around Annabeth, my best friend in the world, and then Annabeth a beat later, hmm, let me bring up Silena and Beckendorf and how it's important to be with the people you love when you have the chance, no way Percy will miss this huge hint right? - they're the best - k i honestly forgot Percy full on physically intimidates Leneus like that - luke telling his mom if he ran away the monsters wouldnt get her..i can just imagine luke crying when he says good bye before running away because he thinks it's his fault his mom is like that and he cant take care of and protect her anymore because it's too hard - uh oh now i have angsty pre-lightning thief luke fic inspo... Him, Thalia and Annabeth on the run... The ANGST -  Rick holds absolutely nothing back in this book and i am in pain - HESTIA!! 💖💖🥰 - actual loml - i love that Rick titled this book after her and that he wrote such a great series about the importance of family (biological, found or otherwise) and home, and that he said actually Hestia is the most important bc shes the most humble and keeps the peace and knows when to fight and when to yield and you protect what you love, which is your home - i just... Adore Hestia - Grover! Missed you babes - Hades is so so horrible to Nico, always comparing him to Bianca :/ - but i do love Hades, Persephone and Demeter together they make me laugh - oh god the River Styx - Achilles 🥺 - Annabeth being Percy's lifeline is, and continues to be, A Lot™ - 'my name was Percy Jackson. I reached up and took Annabeth's hand.' LOL Why am i crying? - Like the fact there is no Percy without Annabeth, and that remembering her literally reminded him of who he is in his very soul... It's fine im fine - i won't even get into the parallels of her being his lifeline now and then later when Hera takes his memories but leaves the memory of Annabeth for Percy to fight to get back to (anyone who wants to yell about it with me... Feel free to message) - badass Percy is my fav Percy tbh - him defeating Hades?? Like? Hades is arguably the most powerful god, okay - i feel bad for Nico but if i was Percy I'd do the exact same, Nico, sorry man but this is a high stakes time crunch deal and Nico is literally the only hope of persuading Hades and distracted by his own internal stuff - flashbacks to Luke, Thalia and Annabeth hurt, ow - George and Martha are the best - damn i forgot Hermes full on nearly kills Percy here, yikes - Luke stop cockblocking Percabeth challenge

- i love!! Percy's love for New York!! So much!! - Percy leaving to live in New Rome in HoO is a lie and this is all the proof i need for why - the fact the entire last half of the book is the battle and aftermath... Such great buildup and pacing. All the tricks and twists and battles in this War of Manhattan? I would not take out a thing, Rick, you legend - of course then the final battle in hoo with the gods is what? Two pages? Ugh, don’t talk to me about my hatred for BoO and HoO - 'no detours you two' is still the cutest thing!!! - THE HUNTERS!! Thalia i missed you - good job Percy, you finally spent your sand dollar - Minotaur!! - 'dont i get a kiss for luck? Its kind of a tradition right?' Percy finds out he's gonna die and is out of fucks to give and honestly I support him - also Michael just standing beside these two while they're flirting like umm 👀 👀 while a monster army marches towards them, nbd - Annabeth taking Ethan's knife meant for Percy!!! Cause she just knows his weak spot without him even telling her! They literally invented love - Feral Percy is so scary omg, i love how well Rick incorporates the Achilles Curse in this novel, with the whole heightened weaknesses and stuff ans the parallels to Achilles arrogance being what killed him and Percy's loyalty, fierceness and protective instinct being his own heightened weakness - the fact that Percy is the one who inadvertantly kills Michael Yew tho, I'll never recover from that - the fact Hades offers Maria di Angelo a golden palace by the Styx like how Poseidon offers Sally a palace under the sea tho. Let's talk about that parallel - the entire talk with Prometheus is so so good - not me picturing young Luke hiding in the closet to get away from his mom when she has an 'episode' -i love callbacks in stories and all of the callbacks to the rest of the series in this book make me very happy (medusa, minotaur, the underworld, Rainbow!! My baby!!, Daedalus and more) - Percy summoning a wholeass hurricane against Hyperion - the Party Ponies! They're so chaotic, i love it - Dionysus! 😁 I can't help it, i love him - Percy absolutely losing it when he sees Sally and Paul asleep in the car 🥺 - Rachel telling Percy he's not the hero screws with him so much :( poor bb - although i really really love how Rick wrote this, it's so refreshing to not have one chosen one save the world, but a combination of people - the drakon, Silena and Clarisse make me cry - the Patrochilles references, im not okay - Annabeth giving up on Luke after hearing what he did to Silena and Percy telling her that doesn't make him happy 😭 that whole interaction makes my heart ache - Percy giving Hestia Pandora's pithos 🥺 - and Hades, Nico and the others coming for a final attack is so badass, i love it - listen im glad the og trio were the ones to confront Luke on Olympus but the fact Thalia got so close and then pinned by a statue of HERA makes me so sad. Ik her and Luke were finished and she coped by cutting him off completely and giving up all hope but i would pay money to know what they would have said to each other to say goodbye - Ethan 🥺 - Poseidon joining the fight against Typhon is so cool, such a great scene - 'PEANUT BUTTER!' - Annabeth you brilliant badass you - RIP Luke, you werent great but you werent the worst either - the gods just rolling up seconds too late, wondering wtf happened in Olympus and who the dead body is - the chapter where the Olympians meet and give out rewards is one of my absolute favourites (again i am incensed we didn't get anything like this in HoO) - will Percy turning down immortality ever not make me scream in glee? No? Alright then - Annabeth being relieved like Percy was relieved at the end of Titan's Curse tho - oh Hermes :/ - its so hard reading all this and knowing what comes in HoO... Like it's such a cathartic, earned and mostly happy and peaceful ending and then HoO comes along and undermines it all - aww Rick let Paul see Olympus somehow pls, he deserves it, he killed a dracanae - (i would also love to see it) - Percy being more upset Rachel took his pegasus than her going to Camp and possibly dying, lol, priorities dude - i honestly think that Rick had other ideas for the second Great Prophecy and how things would go down in BoO, cause the prophecy like... Barely applies to BoO, Doors of Death are in book four, and explabations of it is all so unclear when Rick is usually pretty good with that stuff - PERCABETH - lol Percy complaining about privacy when he and Annabeth are caught kissing literally in the middle of the very open and public dining pavilion, okay - BEST UNDERWATER KISS OF ALL TIME - that's it and im a glass case of emotion - very happy to say that this series remains my favourite of all time 💖

happy silan day! i draw my oc silan with flowers every year on may 16th because i love him dearly & it’s a date i’ve always associated with him 🌼♥️

thoughts & feelings under the cut!

i tend to struggle with actually finishing them though (like last year’s, which i never ended up posting,) so This Year i made the executive decision to treat the 16th as a deadline rather than a starting point And Wouldn’t You Know It it worked!!

idk how much of that can be chalked up to the deadline switch or if it was a combination of other factors (drawing a lot more finished pieces lately, building a comfortable routine/process, the significant drop in the amount of flowers i have to painstakingly render one by one) but the fact is i got this whole thing done in a little under a week and that is a Big Win

so, a lot of things have changed!! first in 2020 the series took a hard turn from simple portraits into full illustration! the piece has a lot of energy and freedom to it imo; when i started this series i had made up all these Rules i had to adhere to, like has to be a digital painting, has to be a portrait, has to have his eyes closed, has to have him wearing a flower crown, and Has to be started and finished all in one day, on the 16th

they created a lot of unnecessary pressure that i think really contributed to my struggle to finish them. as the years have gone on i’ve steadily been chipping away at these “rules,” taking off the flower crown, opening his eyes, giving myself more time to work on it- and finally, doing away with the portrait rule altogether. 2020′s energy feels like that final push to break free of that nonsense and just have fun with the project and i’m loving it tbh. i may not have finished it in the end, but it was definitely a step in the right direction!

and then we have this year’s, 2021! definitely a more moody piece... the reason for which being all the changes i’ve been making to silan & his story lately hoho !! he is Older now, he’s 24!! before, i was jumping around with his age a lot trying to settle on anything between 14 and like 18, but as i work out the details of his whole deal more things start coming into focus, and right now 24 feels right! so i gave him a little facial hair both to make him look older and also bc i think it makes him look like a dweeb and that’s CUTE,

this year’s illustration definitely reflects the kind of work i’ve been doing lately, with all the lil adjustments n effects i like to add to my pieces- which also shows how much more comfortable i’ve gotten with my process. the 2020 one was done around the time i was still getting used to procreate, whereas now i’m Pretty Dang Comfortable

so we’re leaning a lot more heavily into the illustration aspect, and then Also this is the first year i haven’t used ANY of the three flowers i usually associate with silan (pansies, daffodils, and forget-me-nots), which!! felt really weird!! but i did take the purple flowers from last year (lavender maybe?) and incorporate them into this year’s so at least there’s Some continuity there, right?

overall to me the piece says contemplation, a bit of nostalgia, thinking about the past. there are definitely story elements related to this that i can’t really get into atm but i think these may be flowers silan remembers from his childhood? still figuring things out but that’s what i like to think

anyway yeah! i’m really happy i was able to finish this year’s portrait i mean illustration! hoping to keep this improvement train rolling so that next year maybe i can take this series even further off the rails- looking forward to it!! 💖

Dear Miss Kina, it's me again! First of all, congratulations on finishing your final fanfic on this blog! It was immensely what i've been waiting and hoped for. You definitely played with my heart till the very end! It's kind of like - with every fic you've released till now from Seokjin fics to Jungkook fics - every one of them are all so perfectly crafted, every member gets so written well that sometimes time flies so fast when im reading it!

I waited, and read The End for like two hours? And it was really worth it (im wriitng this at like 3am too) like damn i was pausing every second because I was just trying to decipher whatever was happening in each scene, it was all a lot to take in because with each scenario created with the boys, it almost felt like six whole fics crammed into one! The scrollbar was really small n wasn't moving at ALL when i was reading the first few parts and i was like, "wait this feels more like a 60k than a 31k ㅠㅠ" ??? Like how??? But i was smiling as i was reading through the whole thing, to find out it was a Jin centered fic -- and honestly all of your Jin fics are godtier -- i was like "YES YES YES OMG YES I THINK I KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING" n it was real fun to guess which member went next and how the scenario would turn out.

N i really loved how smooth u incorporated both oc and Jin during each scenario, their bickering was so fun and their moments made me go "AWW WTF I WISH I WAS OC ATM" AND OMFG especially that parf where ic asks jin if he ever knew her before everything happened n the whole "like you love me" scene went down -- my mouth was WIDE open i was tearing up and i screamed so loud lmaooo omg ur like the only writer to actually make me react so violently about that ○_○ n when the scene wherein oc wakes up and doesnt see jin and rushes out, the way you wrote it, you sense the urgency and the dishevelled/rampant thoughts of hers when she sees seokjin on the floor bleeding like that and all the way to the hospital scene where she cant even talk despite feeling so sick DAMN i cant even stop staring at the screen even tho my head hurts from being awake all night (but honestly ur worth it)

Like if i had to rank the individual realities where reader ended up with, i think the one i got sadder for was the Taehyung reality -- the oc in that universe couldn't even have time for herself n gradually drowned in becoming a mother and a wife n all i could think of was "tae u should at least treat your wife >:((" n with Yoongi's i was like "whut's happening," and instead of being hurt about it i for no reason started to discuss my thoughts onto thin air "i dont want a partner like yoongi, they dont have time for e/o n thats kinda sad" n thats where i really started to guess maybe every scenario has a major downside but i had to figure it out. N then with Hoseok n Joon's i felt my heart crack a lil bit bc the oc's insecurities in that part (she felt world's apart to hobi n then inferior to joon) i was like...this is me n I DIDNT WANNA FEEL THAT WAY IN A RELATIONSHIP so then again i started to talk to myself looool. Then we have Jimin's that got me like damn :(( thats kind of harsh -- being in a reality with oc in the picture removes the fact that jimin had a stable life. And i guess with every scene you made with all members (did that intend to give me life lessons or sum uhh)

And last but not least, Jungkook's! Not gonna lie, i also thought he was gonna cheat on oc bc she mentioned she was a racer, thats the reason he was late to her bday dinner, but then the dots started to connect when she mentioned why jin looked solemn in the hospital (re: everything that i mentioned a paragraph or two before)

I do know this was loosely based on TATBILB, but as i was reading through it i found so many similarities to it. Like the BTS UNIVERSE incorporated in where Jin goes back in the last to try and desperately change the future where he is not there in order to stop people from getting hurt. And also Orange (one of my fav mangas) where Naho received letters (along with her friends) from her alternate self to save Kakeru from committing suicide, and it had the happy ending too wherein she stopped him from getting right in front the truck (tho there were mistakes that she didnt do correctly)

And that's all 😭🤧 im sorry if this ask was really long. But i wanted to say thank you for creating all of these wonderful stories! They made my day n i could still rmember finding out about you as a baby army myself so i could say you were part of my journey as a new army msksksksk. It was such a great fun time to be waiting for new fics to drop, new chapters released and announcements and funny asks to scroll through on my tl! I do hope you do well in whatever you embark on from now on and hey you'll finally get to publish a book! And i'll most likely read that too ^^ happy 5 years to the blog^^ thank you user Jimlingss, thank you Kina!

omg thank you for this amount of feedback and your extensive praise, I feel undeserving of it hahaha anyway, thank you for taking your time to enjoy the end. honestly, I was aiming for it to be a 50k fic to just really indulge you all as my last story. But as I was writing it, it turned out muuuch shorter to my exasperation. but it still stands as my longest oneshot and I think it ended up pretty great in spite of being so much lower than my intial word count goal. that being said, I'm glad it felt long to you!!

Also thank you for giving me a run down on your thoughts on the other timelines LOL it was really fun for me to think about it as well and consider what OC and Jin would've chosen had they chosen. While each had their downsides, some of them they liked more than others. since you indulged me so much with such a long message, I'll indulge you as well....OC's choices prob would've been JK > Tae > Joon > Hobi > Yoongi > Jimin. While Jin (if he could make the choice for her), it would've been Joon > Tae > Yoongi > Hobi > Jimin > JK.

I came up with the whole idea of the end. while watching TATBILB cause I thought this whole alternative reality worlds was gonna happen but nope, they took a much different direction lol and I'm happy to hear you mention Orange bc that was one fantastic manga I read!! Personally, I find the end. to be the love child between The Truth Between Us and The Seven Kinds of Love (with a sprinkle of Seven Seconds in Heaven) hahha there's definitely elements of pre-existing stories to this guy but I don't mind so much since it feels like almost a call back to them :')

even tho homeboy is a lil clumsy

but yeah, he’s an ice skater and he’s beautiful—thank you for coming to my ted talk

so Jimin started young

his dad signed him up for dance classes originally

and Jimin loved it

but then Jimin went ice skating

he struggled at first, but after a couple of tries, he got the hang of it and he fell in love with it gradually

and it was history from there

it was like a slow burn love rather than instant and that’s what makes him so committed

Jimin still does dance every once in a while, but he really committed himself to ice skating and got really good

he entered an amateur ice skating contest and actually won (to the much of his shock)

and then homeboy kept winning and winning and next thing you know

he’s in the top ten ranking for ice skating in Korea and that meant Olympics and well

while he hasn’t won like gold or anything

he’s been super close to it and that proves how good he is tho

these competitions are basically him dancing on ice

it’s such a wild card because he has so much range

one time he did classical music and incorporated elements of ballet

another time he did a Big Bang song and everyone was not prepared

he’s absolutely eating these performances up and still managing to feed it to ice skating fanatics

you know how people throw winnie the pooh bears at Yuzuru Hanyu?

anything that looks remotely cute is thrown at Jimin

so you can just…. imagine

he’s gotten so many of those gigantic stuffed dogs since people say he resembles a puppy

but he started getting thrown otter plushies

which he didn’t think was a thinguntil a bunch of people started throwing for him and now he gets an obscure amount of otter plushies when his performances are done

because lbr, Jimin is super affectionate, loves his family and is super cute

otter = Jimin

speaking of performances tho, the bts boys always try to make his competitions

they’re super supportive as always

Seokjin always brings snacks and Namjoon always brings flowers

Hoseok cheers the loudest (obviously) and waves a lot of flags like some goddamned color guard

and Taehyung and Jungkook bring signs that are supposed to be supportive… but then like

it’ll say shit like “Korea’s Thighs! PARK JIMIN”

Yoongi: “guys, it’s supposed to be Korea’s pride……”

Jungkook: “well, it’s already made” :)

anyways

they’re like the most attractive group of people in one spot, so even if you only came there for Jimin, you’ll get like six more attractive pieces of eye candy to look at

(which is probably why Jimin’s crowds are noticeably bigger)

there was this one time tho that this one dude was competing, saw Seokjin and almost tripped

I mean who wouldn’t

but Jimin had to deal with Seokjin’s ego for the next week and it was a pain in the ass

speaking of pain in the ass, Jimin spends a ton of time to practice at the ice rink

he’s basically a perfectionist when it comes to his performances and he ends up spending all day there

there’s usually his manager, his trainer, and one of his friends

they all come in rounds to make sure he isn’t going insane

this is actually how you meet him 

you happened to be there one day to ice skate with some of your friends

only, here’s the catch

you cannot ice skate for shit and you are very aware of it

it took a couple of bribes of free food and hot cocoa that led you out of the house and into the skates

realistically speaking you could’ve stood on the side, but they were like come onnnnn

and, like an idiot, you let them peer pressure you into getting into the rink

and now you’re grasping on the rail for dear life and your friends are all making fun of you and recording it on their phone bc ✨memories✨ or some other crap

well, not all of them

two of them are skating next to you to help hold you up and convince you to let go of the rail

and this is where things kind of go awry

basically, let’s just say that your friends got a little distracted by some of Jimin’s friends (i.e. Jungkook and Taehyung) who were visiting him

they were on the rails, watching and supporting Jimin  

looking handsome and shit

ofc your friends dropped you—they were distracted

lbr, you would have been distracted too but you couldn’t be

because when they let go of you….

you fell flat on your face

like flat flat on the ice and a part of your soul died

you kind of got stuck and struggled getting up, especially since you kept falling back down on the skates

and then another pair of skates appeared and a hand reached out to you—aligning with your vision

Jimin: “do you need some help?”

You: “yes please”

he manages to get you up and you manage to stabilize yourself as he holds you up with both hands

while you’re trying to balance yourself, he chuckles to himself at the sight

you’re basically clinging onto him at this point but he doesn’t really mind

you’re cute

You: “I’m so sorry, this was not my idea”

Jimin: “first time skating?”

You: “um, actually, no”

You: “this is like my third time”

You: “I’m just a klutz and my friends are assholes”

Jimin: “oh?”

You: “not like that, but also like that”

he spends a bit more time skating with you to help you out for a bit

next thing you know, you’re spending another hour with him

laughing

chatting

learning more about one another

as you held onto his hands and skated around with him

it’s a fun

he’s basically done practicing and, even afterwards, you two got some hot cocoa from the stand

(along with his number)

it was a super cute lowkey first date

as you two texted and got to know each other a bit more, he invited you to another rink where he practices

when you walked in, no one else was present—it was just him, on the ice, in the middle of a routine

you quietly get closer, admiring the gratefulness that is displayed until you’re at the rails

when he’s finished, you applaud

indirectly scaring him, causing him to break his form and practically fall onto the ice

You: “oh my god!”

you run over to him, checking if he’s okay

You: “I didn’t mean to scare you, I’m sorry”

Jimin: “it’s okay, I didn’t know you got here”

You: “yo, that was really good tho—you should do this as a job or something”

Jimin: “..... this is my job tho?”

Jimin: “I’m an Olympic ice skater”

You: w h a t

you two spend a bit more time in the rink, especially since he’s preparing for the Olympics once more

so you’re like friends, but like there’s something more (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

speaking of friends, you’ve met some of his

wild times

especially since Taehyung tried to show up Jimin on the skates and then falls on his face

Namjoon was self-monologuing as per usual

Seokjin was admiring his reflection on the ice, but still making as many dad jokes as possible

meanwhile Hoseok was trying to maintain balance but Yoongi was trying to trip him

Jimin: “I’m so sorry”

You: “why? this is hilarious”

they all know what’s going on tho, especially since all of them have met you at least once

*cut to Jungkook making fun of Jimin at some point*

things don’t really change until he has his first performance and you’re in the crowd (sitting with the boys obviously)

(for which you got a lot of stares for)

you cheered for him really loud before and after his performance

and you came with a cute sign

(“KOREA’S ICE PRINCE PARK JIMIN”)

and it’s bigger than Taehyung and Jungkook’s embarrassing one

it wasn’t until the scores were released and Jimin’s adrenaline rush came through

with all the congratulatory remarks and celebratory mood, he was in the locker rooms to get ready for the party his family was setting up at home

his coach let you him since he knew no one else was present

you lightly knock on the doorway to let him know of your presence

*unfortunately* he’s already clothed by the time you’re there

You: “congratulations, I knew you would get first place”

You: “I got you flowers, but I didn’t know if you were allergic, so I got plastic ones”

Jimin gives you a charming smile, with his eyes turning into crescents

Jimin: “thanks, you can set them down if you would like”

you seat yourself on a nearby bench as he brushes through his hair and puts on his shoes and whatnot

Jimin: “are you coming to the party?”

You: “I don’t know if I’m invited”

Jimin: “well, I’m inviting you—if you would like to go”

You: “like………. together?”

Jimin: “yeah, you can be my date?”

you both show up to the party with your hands held together

your dates are mainly at the ice rink for the rest of the season

whether you’re skating with him or just watching him practice and reminding him to take breaks, both mental and physical

you’ve improved your ice skating abilities btw

considering your boyfriend is a professional ice skater

you always make time to go to his performances and you absolutely refuse to miss a single one even if you’ve seen it a thousand times when he practices

there’s just so much gracefulness and agility and Jimin’s so beautiful to watch

and he’s so glad to have found someone who supports his dream as much as he chases after it

also you asked him to dance to Twice once as a joke and he actually did it for a performance so

now you have many requests and ideas

Jungkook: “tell him to do One of a Kind by GD”

You: “why don’t you tell him?”

Jungkook: “because he doesn’t listen to me”

Yoongi: “I think he would know if it was your idea even if (Y/N) is the one who told him to do it”

Jimin: “I’m not doing GD”

Jungkook: “wow okay”

anyways

after the season is done, your dates have more range

he’s a big softie and it’s 1000% applied to relationships

so that means lots of romantic walks, coffee dates, picnics

of course lots of restaurant dates when he’s off his diet

in which you always pinch his cheeks bc he looks so cute with puffy cheeks

but there’s some dates where you two just stay in and watch some movies but you get a bit distracted with his plump lips and nice torso………. however you want to take that information

since he’s so used to the cold at the ice skating rink, it also means he loves to just pile blankets onto the two of you

but also he needs cuddles and it gets super heated real quick

and I mean like heated heated because of his body heat and the giant blankets

altho, it could also be heated

you two built a blanket fort once and it was knocked down real quick - in what ways? I’ll leave that to your imagination

oh and since you’re openly so supportive for him

he tries to reciprocate it

even if it’s the most mundane things

he wanted to make a sign for you once

Jimin: “do you have bigger banner paper?”

You: “why?”

Okay so there’s a lot here that we can say for them both BJ and Freddy. Here’s a section for those things:

This, a person not being interested and trying to get away, is of course not new to either of them. In fact, they enjoy it. They’re both nasty lil’ freaks that enjoy seeing you uncomfortable, scared and forcing a translucent brave face on. “That’s my (Insert affectionate nickname like Princess, Pumpkin, Biscuit, etc)’

Nothing is sacred for you. They just love to turn up at the most inconvenient and uncomfortable times (Getting changed, in class / at work, at a family dinner or reunion, on a date, etc) and they absolutely love to twist your most innocent and/or beloved interests into something horrible and gross that will forever remind you of him. They do this by making jokes about it, literally popping out of it, and incorporating it somehow when they’re hurting you. (I’ll elaborate on this more in Freddy’s section- he’s more for the psychological torture then BJ is)

You get many unsolicited compliments.

Hit him with said baseball bat and he’ll:

o   Beetlejuice: Ask you to do it again. If you’re into that kind of kinky stuff, he’s totally on board!

o   Freddy Krueger: Break it and decide he needs to punish you.

Beetlejuice:

BJ doesn’t have a level 0, no. He just blinks right past that, and number 2-99 as well. He’s a hundred, and then possibly a thousand if you get him drinking.

Don’t do that.

The fact that you aren’t interested and keep trying to get away from him (I mean, you do escape him a lot because he’s spacey and frazzly-brained, but never for long. He gets distracted briefly and then when you’ve relaxed with a relaxing book or something else for some lovely, long-awaited non-Beetlejuice related time, he pops up again in place of your chair and its very, very awkward when you slowly notice the warm, sort of damp feeling of his belly, chest and legs and the, seemingly perpetual bulge in his trousers.) isn’t a new concept for him. But he doesn’t take the hint, either. He’s nasty and he likes to be the bane of people’s existences.

Especially you! ~ You’re his fave! Congrats.

Every rebuff and nasty look you give him makes him ‘love’ you even more. Mm, sexy.

Not the type to chain you up anywhere or kidnap you (Except for frequent day trips- he’ll always take you back home though). No, no. He makes your regular, everyday life difficult instead, by popping up at school (And I mean University. Or at the very least year 12) or work, at lunch dates, at the shops (Changing rooms come to mind), etc. You’re the only one who can see him, like Lizzie and Drop Dead Fred, but he can touch things and make a whole mess and you’ve been kicked out of shops, restaurants and classes for, not just being noisy, or disrupting people, no- The words used most often are ‘wreaking havoc’. 

He just pops up, and he doesn’t care at all what you’re doing- he’ll take one look at it and make some ‘fun’ out of it. Steal things (Like lollies, pills, condoms, and smokes and alcohol- yes, he will smash glass and pop behind counters to grab shit) and shove them down your clothes to hide it (Which is loud and obvious and you get caught), massacre a prized garden to get you flowers (Roots, worms and dirt still intact) to serenade you with (song and dance included and, of course, improvised) which distracts you entirely and makes you unresponsive or weird to people who cant see him, flicker the channels on a TV you’re watching with some friends and turn on a porn channel when the remote is in your hands, or just outright try to ravage you right there in the middle of class. What does he care what happens? Getting you frustrated and embarrassed is half the fun.

Freddy is not the only one that has you waking up with markings or changed in some way, nay. BJ changes your clothes in your sleep- usually to his signature black and white stripes.

Your continued braveness and the fact that you refuse to give in to him and just give up entirely… uhh, well, it turns him on. Hence the perpetual bulge in his pants around you.

(And he is around you MUCH. OF THE. TIME.)

Freddy Krueger:

Like said in the first section, this is not a brand new kinda situation for him. In fact, he prefers it, likes it this way. Especially seeing as you’re strong and won’t give up trying to get away. Gives him a chance to use his… you know… whole personality, and full abilities, to break you. And once he has, you’ll be his little pet.

Look, before we get into the nightmare of it all, I’ll say this for you: At least you wake up. For BJ, he can come and get Reader whenever he wants (And he does). Freddy’s at least confined to the dream world.

But, of course, the dream world also does offer its own advantages for your antagonist. Because, as we all well know, Freddy can conjure, be or make up anything he wants. The sky is not the limit- its but a suggestion. Which brings us to this horrendous thing that he loves to do to you.

Beetlejuice takes the place of the chair you’re sitting in- Freddy takes place of your crush. He sets up neat little dreams for you where you’re with your crush (It could be real life, celebrity, or fictional. Whatever. Just someone you’re attracted to and have innocent feelings towards that he can warp, distort and pervert. Nothing is sacred here) and then at the last moment, like a reverse froggy prince kind of deal, your crush turns into Freddy and he has some terrible pun and he kisses you, and it’s all very shocking and unpleasant. And you never see it coming because you’re dreaming. No, it’ll always be just as horrifying.

Its not just people you have warm, fuzzy feelings for that he perverts and distorts, no. Hobbies that make you feel at peace, that he knows make you feel safe and forget about him for a little while. You better hope he doesn’t find out about things like that because if he does discover that, that you’re enjoying a peaceful and hopeful moments, he’ll figure out how to immediately crush that. Conjure up a nightmare for you where all you can paint or draw or write about are horrible memories about him or where you can’t help but obey him and literally destroy the special object that maybe your parents gave you, or you got yourself at a hard time that reminds you that you’ll be okay in any way, with your own two hands. 

Because that’s what Freddy does, its why he’s scary- he takes something so comforting that we know will always be there for us and take us away from the world for a little bit like sleep and our snuggly beds and ruins it.

There aren’t many mornings that you wake up without a new cut or bruise or other kind of mark. He once took a dream permanent marker and wrote his name across your forehead in thick font and that materialised in real life for a whole 3 days.

I really enjoyed this series, because it had a lot of angst but it also had a happy ending (even though it wasn’t the one people may have wanted).

the ghost of suite 613

This was so fun to write!! I loved Suite Life of Zack and Cody growing up, and this episode scared me so much when I was little. Finding a way to incorporate all of the different people in the friend group was so interesting, and I think I did pretty well since it was a last-minute decision to write it for Halloween 😂

the ethics of influencing

Not exactly a creative work, but I really enjoyed the finished product here. There’s a lot of influencers who don’t use their influence well, and I think this is quite evident over the course of the pandemic and the many obstacles we’ve encountered. 

cultish behavior

This fic didn’t get a lot of love, but it’s one of my favorites. It was really fun trying to capture Jake’s personality and incorporate the prompt into the story, and I think it turned out really well in the end!

Another fic I decided to do last minute and I was really in my emotions when I did it 😂 In case you haven't noticed, I’m a slut for some good ole angst and this really scratched an itch I had. I’m not really a fan of fics where someone cheats but is forgiven + taken back, so I wanted to write something where the reader actually gave Colby a piece of her mind and I think it turned out good!

Oh this was so fun to make! I loved this scene in Eclipse, and I was on a serious Twilight kick at the time so I just had to make this into a gifset! It was difficult trying to figure out where to place the text and all that, but I’m really proud of what I made!

It was fun to make, and I really enjoyed how in Paradise Island, they joked that Colby was Fred, so it made me feel really good about making Colby Fred (I bounced between Colby being Velma and Sam being Fred, but ultimately did it the other way around.)

okay i'll talk about one general, big-concept thing and then point out a few easter eggs from my personal life

So the thing I struggled with at the beginning of planning this was "How am I going to have these two characters, who have JUST met, fall in love in such a short time frame and also have it be believable/not feel rushed?" I sort of just jumped in with that in the back of my mind as I wrote, and as the tension started building I was like "Shit, okay, we need to figure this out." I was flipping through some old books I have for an unrelated class assignment, and I picked up They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera (which, this is the only book that has made me cry, like full-on bawling ugly cry, so 10/10 recommend). And there's an idea in there right at the end that essentially the two characters tell each other that they know they would've fallen in love with the other if they only had more time (which OUCH). And then a little light bulb went off in my brain; neither Alex or Willie are going to end up dying (I feel like that's not a spoiler bc I tagged it as Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies), but I took the sentiment of that book and tweaked it to be more like "I have just met you, but I know one day I'm going to fall in love with you." I wanted to take that same feeling that Rufus and Mateo have in their story and give it to Willie and Alex. So maybe that line/sentiment will pop up in the future, who knows ;)

okay now for some fun easter eggs:

- Chapter 2: NO ONE mentioned my stupid lil "which ear is the gay ear" joke in the comments of that chapter and i'm so salty bc i thought it was hilarious. /j

- Obviously music is a big part of JATP, so I try to incorporate it wherever I can, and I very deliberately only mention older bands/songs that I would consider rock/indie-rock classics so as not to date the piece (with the exception of mentioning Hippo Campus, bc it is set in 2021 after all and I think Sunset Curve and Hippo Campus would be a BANGER of a show). Any band or song I mention, I absolutely love, too.

- Chapter 5: When Willie tells Alex about the time he took a chunk out of his own tire... that is a personal anecdote 🙃

- I try to pull from the show as often as I can, so if something seems like a callback to the show, it definitely is!

- Chapter 7: Luke's nickname of "discount harry styles" came from when I showed my friend the first episode of JATP and they made that comment, and Bobby's nickname of "Boobert" is actually what my dad and I call my step-uncle lmao

- Chapter 9: Willie's friend that he mentions, Victoria, is actually a shout out to my best friend of ten years who recently moved to Texas. She has no clue what JATP is and doesn't even know I'm writing this fic, but I miss her dearly and wanted to give her a lil cameo.

- 9 times out of 10 any location mentioned is actually real, I do my best to look up actual places that exist in each city and make it as authentic as possible
