Memories
HEYYY decided to also post it here in case you do not like to use ao3 which is so so fair (:
anyways enjoy!! (its a little sad, a little silly and a little soft)
--
You looked at your bright laptop screen in the dark of your room, your bottom half covered by the heavy blanket; you don't even know what you're trying to do here with your shitty laptop; the screen just showed the tab you were on, which was random cooking videos.
Eclipse, the 9ft android, was wandering around your apartment, or so you figured by the footsteps and little noises that escaped the tall robot. You could tell he tried to be quiet with his movements as if not to disturb.
It was sleepover night, or so it used to be. You used to have nights with all three where you would stay up and talk or watch movies or even play games. The virus broke the thing you had built up with the three animatronics. The three years of relationship stayed strong with Sun and Moon, but... Eclipse, who got a stronger virus, seemed to lose himself.
And this was your first time alone with Eclipse after the incident.
You hadn't really spoken to the android since he arrived. Sun and Moon explained via phone that they had a busy weekend filled with work, so they thought getting some alone time with Eclipse might be good.
But this isn't your Eclipse. Your Eclipse is gone. He is not in there anymore; he hasn't been in there for a long time. All there's left is the shell or faint memories of the robot you once adored.
You sighed ever so gently, moving your hands so the heel of your palms pressed to your eyes. You sniffled the built-up tears in your eyes poured over, and now you were that loser who cried in bed; you let the tears fall as you moved your laptop to the side next to you on the bed.
You removed your hands and sniffled; you turned your head towards the bedroom door; you could see some light through the crack, but something was blocking it; you furrowed your brows before tracing the dark length up and jumped in surprise when you saw a pale grey and bright red eye watching you. Eclipse had been standing there for who knows how long. You wanted to get angry or maybe be playful, but you were unsure how he would react to those emotions.
You part your lips to speak to him, but the tall android opens the door slowly and bends under the door frame to walk into your dark room. You watched him, a little afraid to move, but he didn't seem to notice as he placed himself at the foot of your bed.
Eclipse took a deep breath even though you knew he didn't need to do that; it was a feature the androids used to calm people from panic attacks, etc.
His eyes fell onto you, and you could see a faint smile in the dark; it made your heart flutter, but you reminded yourself that this wasn't the Eclipse you were together with. This was a stranger.
But despite your hesitation, Eclipse reached out his dark blue hand and rested it on your blanket-covered knee, letting his thumb trace over the small form.
"You... You have not spoken to me since I arrived. You haven't spoken to me for a long time, Angel Eyes." He spoke so softly, and yet it felt like an attack. Your Eclipse never used that theme of names, but this one does, and you could tell he meant well that he cared in his own odd way.
"Hm... I thought sleepovers or slumber parties, you talked and were doing things together?" the tall android on your bed said in thought as his thumb still traveled lightly over your knee. You felt lucky the heavy blanket covered your legs, so he couldn't feel how flustered you were getting from his touch.
You didn't look at him the entire time he spoke, but you decided to talk after some silence between you and him.
"I didn't want you here. I'm doing this for Sun and Moon because they think I just need to get to know you again and-" You choked up, frustrated. You hadn't even noticed that you had begun crying again.
When you took a glance at Eclipse through blurry eyes, you could see the frown on his perfect lips, the furrow in his brows, and his eyes searching for something. You glanced at his hands; he had raised the one on your knee, and it was now hovering as if he wanted to reach out and pull you close, but you moved back against the headboard of the bed and wrapped your arms around yourself as you sniffled, the tears running down your cheekbones and jaw soaking the collar of your shirt.
You whimpered, moving your shaking hands up to your face to wipe your tears away with the sleeve of your shirt.
"Angel-" Eclipse had managed to scoot closer to you, but you held a hand out to stop him. "Please." you pleaded. "Please, Eclipse, you have to understand how messed up this is for me." You didn't see his expression, but you could tell by his voice that his mechanical heart was breaking into pieces.
"I try to understand, Angel Eyes, but it is hard since you do not let me close enough to try. I lost myself, or so I have been told, so I am learning everything again." He put his hands back on his lap, fidgeting with the ribbon he was still wearing around his wrist. "I am sorry," he says your name; it sounds like a soft plea of... Something. Anything. "I feel a connection to you, a past of sorts, connected with strings, but my fingers fall through when I try to reach them..." He took a sharp breath.
"My memories are... It was hidden from me, but there is a note attached to my memory folder stating that only 'Comet' may open it, and I have a feeling that it's... You. You're Comet." The way he looks at you, his eyes seem distant, unfocused yet knowing.
You were shaking at the words coming from his lips; they were digging deep into the grave in your heart where you had buried your Eclipse. Comet, that was what your Eclipse used to call you, lovingly, teasingly, fondly; oh, he used it in any mood.
"You... You are right, Eclipse. That's the nickname you used for me."
You knew your voice was trembling, your mind frail and on the verge of a breakdown, your breath quickening. You couldn't believe your Eclipse; in the heat of his doomed moment, he saved his memories of you in a way the virus could not get to.
As you tried to calm yourself, a warm hand settled on your cheek, startling you. Your eyes flicked up to the pale grey and the bright red ones in the dark. "Deep breaths, Angel," Eclipse said softly. "Deep breaths," He began mimicking the act of taking deep breaths. His eyes remained tenderly on you as his hand stayed on the apple of your cheek.
While you attempted to follow his breathing, Eclipse moved his hand from your cheek to your shoulder in a smooth and careful manner. "You're doing so good, Angel." He lightly praised; you could spot a tiny lift in his lips in the dim lighting his eyes gave off as you managed to take a deep breath.
"I... I'm sorry, Eclipse, I didn't mean to freak out like that-" You say through a strained voice, almost gritting your teeth as if that could allow your heart to calm down further, but a pale yellow thumb poked underneath your jaw in a gentle, although playful manner.
"Do not apologize, my dear Angel," Eclipse said with a slight hum before his thumb traced under your chin while the rest of his hand still lay comfortably on your shoulder. "I feel... Bad. I do not remember us," He said with a sorrowful look. "And I figured telling you about this could help soothe the open wound my leaving left you."
His eyes roamed over to the laptop next to you, the screen having faded to black.
Eclipse had a tiny smile as he looked back at you.
"I have an idea, Angel. Maybe you can access the folder if I let you attach a cord from my neck to your laptop."
Your eyes widened.
"Eclipse- That's-" You swallow, nervous.
The android's smile became softer, his hand sliding down your arm as he slowly reached your hand and intertwined your fingers; he looked at your connected hands for a moment.
"I know, Angel. But it's okay. I want you to be able to see just how much I care about you." Eclipse lightly chuckled, his thumb tracing over your knuckles. "Or, well, how much my old version cared about you. I still care about you even though we are not at that level anymore." He spoke before looking into your eyes again. "Let's go to your desk, alright?" he lightly squeezed your tiny hand in his giant one. Before you could react, he let go of your hand and gently picked up the laptop beside you.
Watching him move was wild. This giant was so gentle in everything he did, the way his arms moved at a slower pace as if he would scare anyone if he moved any faster, yet it didn't have the same warmth, love, and care the Eclipse you knew had.
You watched as he held the laptop carefully in his hand; the laptop looked so tiny in his palm. Eclipse got up slowly and reached over to turn on the lights, which made you flinch as the light hit your tired eyes. He walked over to the desk, where he placed the laptop in its usual spot.
Eclipse turned to face you, who still sat in the bed, half exhausted and half shocked by his words from earlier, but the android just smiled. "Do you need help, Angel?"
You let out a small groan and shook your head as you tilted your head down to rub the heels of your palms into your eyes for a moment; when you lowered your hands, you watched him before getting your blanket off.
"No, no, I got it. Just... I just cried my eyes out and had a panic attack or a start of one."
Eclipse hummed at your response, his arms behind his back, his hands folded in each other. A comforting pose for him, you guessed.
As you got up from the bed, you stretched and yawned. "What if I can't get into the folder? I mean, if you can't, then why-"
Eclipse chuckled. "Angel, did you not hear me? It said only Comet could get into it, and as we have established, you're the Comet. So! I am sure it will be easy for you to get into." He spoke with a lighter tone, almost on par with Sun's more timid excitement. You raised a brow at him and smiled just a tiny bit.
"Alright. Well... I guess we will see if I'm smart enough to crack a folder."
You walked over to your desk, sat down on the chair, and looked up at Eclipse from where you were now sitting. "You gotta sit down for this buddy, else I can't reach." A soft grin was on your lips as you attached a standard phone cord to your laptop and wiggled the other end to Eclipse, who watched you with amusement before slowly lowering himself onto the soft carpet and his hand moved up, ensuring his hair was out of the way of his neck.
"Just be careful when you touch Angel. Bad memories."
Your smile softened, and you gently put your small hand on his broad shoulder, which made him look at you.
"I will be careful, Eclipse. Don't worry, alright?" you patted his shoulder, and for a brief moment, you could have sworn you felt him press into the touch.
With the phone cord in your other hand, a nervous sigh escaped your parted lips as you moved over and opened a panel on the back of Eclipse's neck with a soft press of your fingers; he flinched but remained still as you plugged the cord in. Eclipse shuddered, and you heard him hiss out some air through gritted teeth, a soft groan from his parted lips, and his fans whirring loudly before settling.
You leaned back in your chair, tilting your head to look at him, but he avoided your eyes. You noticed he was flushed, making you snicker before looking at the laptop screen again, but you couldn't help asking about what just happened as the connection slowly loaded.
"So... Was there a reason for those noises when I plugged in the cord?" You asked as your tired eyes returned to the screen to give him some sort of chance of answering without getting too flustered.
Despite everything that occurred earlier, you felt calm and collected. Even though you didn't really know this Eclipse, he still had many of the same traits as your Eclipse, you mused before you heard him.
Eclipse huffed at your question. "You are together with two androids. I think you know the reason for that reaction. Angel." He said with a shy smile, but his tone sounded teasing.
"I see. Interesting to know that about you." You said with an exhausted grin, and when the laptop pinged, you saw the menu for his system pop up on your screen and rubbed your eyes to ensure they weren't blurred. "I feel as if this shouldn't be so easy to do. Like just using a phone cable to hook you up to a shitty laptop to look at your files."
Eclipse shrugged a shoulder in response before grabbing an unsolved rubrics cube from your desk in his massive hands. "I don't think it's easy, really." He said softly. "I think you're the only one this body allows in." He said with a soft grin as he leaned his back against the desk next to you, looking at you with the same grin.
Now, it was your turn to blush. "Right."
Eclipse chuckled at your reaction as he returned to fiddling with the rubrics cube. "It should be under one of the memory cards. It is probably called Comet and a bunch of numbers."
You nodded, then remembered he wasn't looking at you and spoke. "Yeah, okay, thank you," you said softly as you pressed a finger on the mouse pad to start clicking around.
"Ah! There it is," You exclaimed, though the sound was muffled by your hand as you were leaning onto it. You let your hand fall down into your lap and looked at Eclipse. "Are you ready? Tell me if it feels weird or hurts, okay?"
Eclipse looked at you with a slight smile. "I am as ready as I can be, Angel. I will let you know if anything feels off." He returned to the toy in his hand, though his shoulders tensed a bit; you could tell through the thin material of his white t-shirt.
Once more, you took a deep breath and clicked on the folder called 'Comet,' but before you could look at what was slowly unfolding, you felt Eclipse twitch next to you. "You okay, buddy?"
Eclipse nodded. "Yes. Yes, Angel. I shut off the security that was about to react to you opening the folder. You may continue." He spoke in short sentences like he was straining, and you were about to suggest that they should just not do this, but then Eclipse sighed, settled his back against the desk, and hummed. You gathered that he was okay again and turned back to the screen, though now you were just a bit more jumpy and aware of Eclipse next to you. "Okay... Okay, here we go." You said softly to yourself, but you heard Eclipse respond with a slight chuckle.
You moved your cursor over the picture files and clicked.
All of it was from your Eclipse's point of view, which was fine. You got to see how he viewed his world.
And oh. All the pictures Eclipse had ever taken with his camera feature were of you. When you laughed at his jokes or whatever Sun and Moon were doing or when you were alone and on dates together.
Again, you felt tears build up in your eyes, and you sniffled; oh, you were so tired, but you smiled just a bit as you flipped through the pictures. The guy had taken a ton, it seemed, and some were more raunchy, which you wish you could yell at him for, but alas, you couldn't.
Wiping the tears on your cheeks away with your wrist, you moved on to the recordings.
The first video was when you two first met, and you could tell he was so interested in you, almost as if he hadn't seen a human before. You let out a slight giggle when you heard his flustered voice asking you how the weather was, and past you in the video looked so confused, but you answered anyway, humoring him.
You felt yourself smile more as you went to the other recordings he had in the folder, and when you clicked on one, you got startled. It was you on the bed and him on top, but you were too slow to click away, and a moan came from the speakers. You closed the video as fast as possible, your face bright red as you glanced to the side. You saw Eclipse staring at you with wide eyes, his cheeks flushed.
"I wish to spare you of the embarrassment, but... I do wish to know how many videos of that sort of thing are in my head." He said quietly as his face was almost glowing from blushing so hard.
You wanted to die or dig yourself down in a hole.
"Uhm.. I.. I never knew he recorded those moments. I- So I don't... know?" You said softly as you cleared your throat.
"Hm. Seeing that video, it seems Past Eclipse must have done it more than once... Good to know I have a whole stash of... Playtime in my head." He joked.
"you cannot watch those Eclipse!" You said with a slight whine.
"I won't." He chuckled. "I can't anyway. Remember how it's only letting you into this folder?" He looked down at the rubrics cube in his hands.
"Oh... Right. Sorry." You laughed a little awkwardly. "Uh..."
You swallowed. "let's continue."
Out of the corner of your eye, as you turned to the screen again, you saw Eclipse giving you a slight nod as he tried to calm his fans down. You hadn't even noticed that those were whirring very loudly.
You clicked on the very last video, and before you pressed play, you took a deep breath and curled up on your chair, your knees to your chest as you clicked play.
It started with Past Eclipse laughing warmly, just the way you remembered. He was playing with one of the kids outside at the little playground that used to be there. He was building sand castles with a little girl in a star-dotted dress. She had a little bandana on her head that matched her dress, and you guessed it was one of the rare sick kids that came to the Daycare. She had probably wanted alone time with Eclipse, as sick kids often got to pick between the three to get one-on-one time.
"Dad?" The girl asked Past Eclipse as she kept shoveling sand into her bucket.
You were surprised to hear her call him that, but it was probably something he let her do as a comfort thing.
"Yes, My bright star?" You could hear him smiling as he spoke while making a little sand tower with his giant hands, carefully, of course.
"... That nice Daycare worker... Do you like them?" She asked this so innocently, so curiously, it made you blush.
"Oh." Past Eclipse said softly. "Oh, I do like them a lot, my bright little Star. They are my Comet, after all," He said with a grin, and the little girl let out a bright giggle.
"Does that mean they are my parent too?"
"Oh, we will have to ask them that, won't we? I'm sure they would love to have the brightest Star as their daughter, hm?" He said with a soft chuckle as he wiped his hand on his shirt before running a knuckle over the girl's cheek to remove some sand. You were too tired to cry, but you felt the sensation of it building in your chest. Your heart clenching in your chest, and a sob trying to get out past your lips. You hadn't noticed, but Eclipse was watching along with you; his expression was unreadable.
The video continued.
The little girl giggled joyously and moved away from Past Eclipse's hand. "Dad!"
Once again, you heard his laughter. "What? You are my brightest little Star, aren't you?" She kept giggling and laughing the way kids do as Past Eclipse moved closer a hand behind her so she didn't fall back.
"The most beautiful star in the universe," He said fondly, his voice cooing and warm. It broke your heart. You didn't even know if the girl was still around.
The recording was a few years old. You don't remember that little girl at all, only that Eclipse would disappear for a bit, and you suppose this is where he went at certain times.
The video continued for a while, and you guessed it was a couple of hours of them playing and talking until you could see Past Eclipse got a message in the corner of his eye.
The Eclipse next to you muttered a soft. "Oh no."
You turned to look at him, your brows furrowed at his reaction to seeing the message icon before you looked back at the laptop.
Past Eclipse hummed at the message but had yet to open it. He turned to the little girl and smiled. "Seems like we have to cut the day a little short, my bright star!" he said with a bright grin, you guessed. "I will take you to Sun and Moon." He got up from the sand and helped her to the wheelchair, gently placing her before brushing off the sand.
She looked a little sad. "Dad?"
"Yes, Star?" he responded, head tilted, you guessed, due to the view.
"Will I see you next Tuesday after my hospital visit?"
"Oh yes! I got special permission to come and pick you up!" Finally, the little girl smiled again and clapped her hands together. "Yay!" You could almost feel how happy Past Eclipse was during this moment.
He wheeled her back into the Daycare and briefly spoke with Sun and Moon before heading to the three's shared room. He sat down on the beat-up couch before opening the message.
The screen flickered, and you could hear Eclipse hiss and groan before the recording cut out and turned off.
You looked confused, and the Eclipse next to you sighed.
"I think... I think that was when the virus did it." He hummed. "that's my guess, at least. I still have the message in my head; I can't delete it."
You opened your mouth to ask, but Eclipse cut you off.
"No, it doesn't say anything."
You frowned, guessing you couldn't ask more about it, and wiped your face with your hands before sighing and sitting back in your chair. "I'm sorry... Sorry you lost yourself like that, I-" You sniffled. "thank you for letting me do this, Eclipse. It was nice to see... See my Eclipse again." You whispered.
Eclipse put the rubrics cube on the desk, then reached back, slowly pulled the cord out of his neck, and hummed. "Anytime Angel. Sorry, you lost him." He said it with a tender smile.
You rested your cheek on your knees, your arms wrapped around your legs. "... Want to play a game or something? We could play Uno?"
Eclipse smiled a little brighter. "After all that, I would love to play Uno with you, Angel."
You smiled tiredly. "only until I fall asleep, though... I might fall asleep during a game, but who cares? Moon isn't here to tell us to go to bed!" You said with a tired giggle.
Eclipse chuckled. "Exactly! Let's have some fun before bed, then!" He stood up and stretched a little before holding a hand out to you, which you took and smiled up at him as you stood and closed down the laptop with your free hand before following him to the living room.
You played Uno with the android for a long while, and somehow you were winning, but you guess Eclipse was letting you win, though he played it up when he lost hands up in the air dramatically and everything, which made you laugh.
When you had played the last round, you yawned, and Eclipse, the gentle giant that he is, carried you to bed, where he tucked you in, and as you dozed off, you felt a soft press of lips on your forehead.
You were out like a light after that.
Eclipse moved the charging cord he had brought over to sit next to you on your bed, his back against the headboard. Luckily, you had a huge and robust bed that could hold him. He plugged in the charger on his wrist and then looked at you for a moment before moving his free hand over and softly smiled as he gently moved some of your hair away from your face with his fingers.
"Good night, Angel. Sweet dreams."

Natasha Romanoff was known as a cold, ruthless woman, who never cared for anyone besides herself. Most of the people didn't know this was due her past — the Red Room was always in complete secrecy, so they feared her. She was already used to it. Whenever she started something with someone, in the next day, she had an empty bed as a gift. To be completely honest, she always felt used. Men and women touched her, to leave her in the morning.
That changed when she met you.
You could say you'd changed her completely, for the best, of course. She became more open with you, learned to express herself better and was not known as the most selfish Avenger in the team anymore.
But just like people say, not everything is a bed of roses.
Instead of using that achievement to improve your relationship, she began to care a little too much about her team of superheroes. At some point, she was no longer paying attention to you.
Reports this, reports that. Missions and more missions. "I have to go somewhere with Cap." "I have to train with Tony to a mission." "I can't, I'll have to go with Clint."
When you confronted her about this, begging for her to understand and willing to help her change, she decided that it was a better option to part ways. You were devasted, and she saw it. That made her heart ache — someone actually lov— liked her enough to want to stay.
This was the one and only reason Natasha didn't forget about you. The only reason she thought about you everyday. The only reason she teared up whenever entering her car and seeing the polaroid with the heart pendant you gave her hanging on her rearview mirror, that she didn't dare to take down.
Today, you were leaving work, heavy tired steps echoing on the pavement's wooden floor as the moonlight illuminated the room. The building was already empty, the streets, darker than your thoughts.
As you started walking to the nearest bus stop, you heard quick footsteps behind you — it was already late and usually there was no people on the streets like this. You turned your head, "you gotta be kidding me".
"Hey, Y/n!" Peter exclaimed, running to catch up with you. "I didn't know you were going to be here at 11:30pm."
You rolled your eyes and took a sharp inhale, but like always, tried to be polite. This so called coworker of yours was always looking at you, following you everywhere, and asking you things, not always work-related. You always made it clear that you weren't interested in men, and he insisted on saying he could 'change your mind'.
"Hey, Peter." you replied, faking a smile and nodding. "You need me to review your documents again?"
"Oh, no. I was just wondering if you wanna go on a date with me. Did you see the restaurant that just opened over there? I could treat you to—"
"No, I don't." you cut him off, more harshly than you intended to. "Look, Peter, I'm sorry. But I don't want anything to do with you, alright? So if you want, go ahead and find somebody else."
You shook your head, not even waiting for his reply and picking up the pace again, quickly rushing to the bus stop. That's when the guy showed you a side that you just suspected, but preferred to believe he didn't have
"C'mon, Y/n." he grabbed your arm, nails digging into your skin. "You won't broke my heart, will you? You're such a gentle, beautiful, kind woman. You will give me a chance."
You cleared your throat, feeling him get closer, and thinking about a certain Red Head — how she would gently, delicately graze your skin with her fingers, so softly whispering into your ear and bringing you to her embrace—
"Back off."
"Oh, no." he laughed. Such a creep. "I won't back off. And if you don't cooperate, I'll make you give me a chance."
Your hands trembled now, silently praying to whoever was seeing this just call the cops or do something. You didn't know the guy anyway. He didn't talk to anyone at work beside you, and you never got to know him, you would never. That's when it would be a good use to have a spy girlfriend. Just the last thing you expected to happen was to hear the sound of a gun cocking behind you, and a very familiar female voice.
"She said back off."
Relief unconsciously washed upon you as your arm was released, only because of the gun, though. You knew that if if wasn't for her, who knows what could've happened there. Peter left, annoyed, but the Russian swore to herself that she'd make his life a living hell.
"... Natasha?" you whisper, turning around with a confused and even scared frown.
"Yes," she worriedly rubbed your arm, shooting you, slowly making the feeling of the disgusting hand fade away. "Are you okay?"
"I am..." you nodded subtly, leaning into her touch. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I saw a woman being harassed. What was I supposed to do? Mind my business?" she said, obviously avoiding your question.
"You know this is not what I mean." you frowned, carefully letting go of her caress and wrapping your arms around yourself.
Natasha sighed, trying to think of a way to explain herself. 'Oh, I'm here because I miss you so much I can't even sleep anymore.'? No, it wouldn't do.
"I... followed you."
"Oh, great, so I'm being stalked twice today." you hissed, making Natasha look down with your harshness.
"No, Y/n.. I'm here for.. personal reasons. I saw you leaving work, and I noticed that guy following you. I decided to follow too, until he grabbed you and I knew I had to intervine." she explained quietly.
The fact she had said 'personal reasons' deeply hurt you, but you couldn't do anything, you had broken up after all. You nodded, and prepared yourself to walk tp the bus stop again.
"Wait," Natasha quickly stopped you, her eyebrows furrowed. "I won't let you go home like this."
This was something about the old Natasha you knew, the protective one. It was okay, you were tired, and a ride would be no harm. "Where's your getaway car?"
She smiled softly at your joke, and tilted her head. "Around the corner."
You two walked silently towards the vehicle, as she unlocked the doors with the keys and you entered the passenger seat. You threw your bag on the backseat before you could focus on the environment around you, and see the polaroid of you and Nat with the heart pendant you gave her hanging on the rearview mirror.
Natasha noticed your gaze as soon as she entered the driver seat, clearing her throat and starting the car's engine. "Couldn't bring myself to take those down."
You stayed silent, but your eyes could tell everything. I'm glad. Oh, I'm so glad.
Natasha remembered your address as if you hadn't broken up nine months ago, and when you reached your place, you too much disappointed for your own good.
"Thank you for the lift," you whispered, turning your body to be able to grab your bag from the backseat — in the exact same moment Natasha turned to unbuckle her seatbelt — your fronts touching, which made you two a little startled.
The problem was that you didn't pull away, neither of you. You slowly turned your head to meet Natasha's gaze, your face so close to hers you could feel her breath. Familiar. It was pure instinct, almost muscle memory, of the times she always kissed you goodbye when dropping you somewhere.
You didn't even notice your hand going up to hold the back of her neck, much less when she placed her hand on your thigh, and leaned in so your noses brushed. Natasha closed her eyes for a brief moment, almost savouring your closeness, your aura enveloping her once more. Then your lips barely, barely grazed, breath hitching, as she couldn't take it anymore.
The redhead pressed her lips against yours, giving them a long peck. It was surprising how much time you lasted without air. You didn't break the kiss, just darted the tip of your tongue out to lick her bottom lip, begging for entrance. She gave in, trying to pull you closer but being stopped by the goddamn control panel. As soon as you felt her tongue touching yours you realized that this was going too far. You pulled back harshly, leaving you two panting for air and a disappointed Nat.
"Do you..." you shakily breathed. "... wanna come in?"
"Mhm." Natasha hummed, turning off the engine. "Can I?"
You didn't answer, just opened the door and slipped out the car. As you entered, you could practically feel Natasha's eyes burning the place. How you didn't take down any picture of yours. How her stuff was spreading across the pavement. It gave her a sense of... hope? Of course, since she was in the same situation.
"So.. are you seeing anyone?" you asked her while kicking off your heels and leaving them by the door.
"I think you know the answer for that." the redhead practically hissed, making your head snap towards her.
"But I want you to say it." you retreated. "I want you to look at me in the eyes and tell me you didn't forget me. I want you to look at me in the eyes and tell me the reason of why you came to my town again and followed me when I left work. I want you to tell me the reason of why you kissed me just like we always did before."
"I didn't! I didn't forget you, Y/n!" Natasha snapped, looking away and tucking the loosen strands of hair of her braids behind her ears. "I didn't forget you and I never did. Alright? Happy now?"
"Is that so?" you laughed humorlessly, crossing your arms. "I thought you cared more about your superheroes buddies. Where are they now!?"
"I left them." Natasha replied, looking at you again with a mixture of anger and pain. "I left them and came back, to you, Y/n."
You froze at her words, swallowing your saliva. "... okay?"
"I came back here, because I wanted to at least a chance to explain myself. I wouldn't be able to live knowing that I hurt you, and that you think that I did it on purpose. So please, just give me a chance."
"...go on."
Natasha sighed in relief, exhaling the air she was holding. "I'm sure you know my story. You were the first one to know everything about it, about me. And I'm also sure you know you're the first one to ever love me. No one else ever loved me like you did."
You leaned against the kitchen counter, listening carefully to her words, ready to give her time and patience, like you usually did.
"... I didn't know what I was doing, Y/n. Every other relationship I had, ended in less than a week. Love is a weapon and it's letal for me, for people like me. I was, I am startled by all of this, by this fuzzy warm feeling that you always gave me, that you still do, in my thoughts.. the Avengers were my first family, and when I panicked, I tried to hang on to them. In order not to hurt you, and myself." she didn't even realize the tear rolling down her cheek, and shook her head. "That's it. I'm sorry for everything, but Y/n, you will always have a piece— you'll always have my whole heart in your hands. I'll get off your hair n—"
You couldn't. Not anymore. You rushed towards her and grabbed her face, cutting her off with a deep kiss. She was taking aback, but her hands traveled to your waist, pulling you flush against her, your fronts pressing. Nothing changed. Natasha pushed you backwards against your room's door, her tongue entering your mouth and dancing with yours. You could feel yourself getting lost in her, damn it, once more. It was like she had this spell on you — you were trapped, and didn't complain.
"Y/n," the russian uttered, hands slipping inside your shirt and giving your waist a squeeze. "I've got to have you again, at least for one last time. Please, just this once—"
Tired of her rambling, you smirked and grabbed her by the jacket, pulling her into a kiss again and dragging her into the room, slamming the door shut. Natasha took this as a 'yes', and her hands, under you shirt, went to unclasp your bra, making it fall to the ground and a groan of relief escape your throat. Before she could remove the rest of the fabric of your body, you stopped her, pushing her down to the bed.
"I always wanted to do that," you started to slowly, so slow that it almost tortured her take off your clothes, stripteasing for her.
"Shit, Y/n." she quickly started to get rid off her jacket, snd everything else she was wearing. You were careful not to trip on the pile of clothes on the floor, and walked over to her again, straddling her leg on the edge of the bed.
Natasha's hand grabbed your hips roughly, keeping you in place and it didn't take two seconds before you started to grind on her. "Nat," you breathed, arms going to circle her neck.
"Who else touched you like this while I was away?" she growled in your ear, pressing your body against hers. "Answer me,"
"No one," you whined, giving her a subtle shake of your head. "No one, Natty. J-just myself,"
"My poor girl," Nat began to roam her hands up your sides, her lips pressing kisses on your jawline, "I'm so sorry I wasn't there to help,"
"You're here now..!" you gasped, your movements faster, as she began to move her thigh to stimulate you more.
"And I don't plan on going away," Natasha murmured, tilting your head to look at her in the eyes. Even in your high, you could make sense of her words, and the weight they beared.
"Nat!" you moaned, closing your eyes shut. "I need... please.. I—I need you, inside me."
Natasha almost lost her mind with that, grabbing your hips and pinning you down to the bed. She reached her arm out for the drawer that she hoped your strap still was, and luckily, she was right. "I'm gonna fuck you like never before, Y/n." she attached the silicone cock to her hips with urgency, holding your hips in place as she ran the tip of it across your folds, making you whine in need.
"Don't tease me," you gently gripped her arms on your hips and looked at her with dreamy eyes. She couldn't resist — but your walls were so tight she had to put a little effort to enter you.
"Holy fuck, baby." she moved her hand to brush your hair behind your ear, giving you a little time to get used to the length. "So fucking tight for me,"
"I—" you breathed, interrupted when Nat started to slowly move in and out you, her red hair falling into your face. You moaned, putting her hair up in a makeshift ponytail and with your free hand, holding her neck. "God, I missed you,"
Natasha pounded faster in you with those words, your moans only getting louder by the second. She grabbed one of your legs and placed it over her shoulder, allowing her to hit your g-spot repeatedly. You thumb went to your mouth, wetting it and starting to rub her clit — she couldn't say she expected that, her soft moans saying everything.
"Cum with me," you breathlessly requested, eyes fluttering close. Natasha didn't have to be asked twice. Her hips slammed into yours, the wet sounds of her thrusting echoing the room. "Natty!"
You back arched, head thrown backwards as your orgasm hit you. Natasha's legs shook, her weight falling onto you and your arms immediately wrapping around her, keeping her close.
"Don't make me go away,"
"I could never."

hmmm how about mal and reader were having an argument or sumn then he's like " hmph let's not talk to each other for now >:( " so you grant him some space/or silent treatment and mal is like dramatically waiting for u to talk to him for HOURS in his room just brooding there and when he realize you're still ignoring him, he's like a pathetic sad wet cat needy for ur attention now bcs he couldn't stand being apart from u.
im sorry for the basic ass idea lol 😭 im just a sucker for silent treatment scenarios like this
Tumblr media
malleus x gn! reader
a/n: written as romantic -> FOAMING AT THE MOUTH, IM A SUCKER FOR THESE TOO 😔😔 hope i did this justice
.
one of the many things malleus adores about you is your stubbornness. the way you don't back down against what you think is wrong is something that will always set him ablaze with admiration for you.
though he doesn't quite like it when that pride is directed at him.
he's realizing this now when scornful words are spat between the two of you in the living room of ramshackle. clouds and lighting are beginning to gather as a response to his irritation and annoyance. he doesn't even know what this silly argument was even about or why it started in the first place, and unfortunately, malleus can be just as stubborn as can be.
"since you insist on being childish, i think it's best for us to not talk for a while," he isn't even looking at you as he says this, so when he disappears into pretty green firelights, he misses the hurt expression on your face as he leaves.
this is stupid, you think, but you bite your lip in worry as you walk upstairs and lay in bed, grim beside you snoring away. you said things you didn't mean so perhaps it's best to give him space, though how long that will go on is unknown to you since your lovely dragon is a fae with a rather skewed perception of time... whatever, he knows where to find you as soon as he decides he's comfortable enough to talk this out.
unbeknownst to you, malleus is now brooding in his room, lying face down on his pillow. the clouds around nrc have gotten worse, static brushing against the air as he waits for a phone call from you. preferably a sincere apology since he obviously deserves it after the things you've said.
...
well, he supposes it wasn't entirely your fault. he uttered words all to anger you as you did him, though none of them were true. you weren't childish, the opposite in fact-- having to take care of that first-year duo and that cat you're always hanging out with, taking precious time away when you could be stroking his hair and kissing his hands and petting his horns. as you do.
that's another thing he likes about you. even if you don't spend as much time together as he'd like, what you do to him is more than enough to compensate. you know he likes being kissed on the neck, you know he loves it when you take of his gloves and hold his hands, you know he loves when you lightly blow on his ear. you always look so happy when you do it too-- like seeing him smile makes you-
wait, isn't he supposed to be angry at you? he humphs and pouts when he realizes you still haven't called. he turns his head, eyebrows crossed and he stares at the phone on his desk. the only reason he learned how to use a phone was so you could contact him and send him texts and "memes" like you do with the rest of your friends.
he considers going to you himself but immediately shoves the idea away. he's still mad at you after all.
...
...
...
...
the clouds start pouring rain.
it isn't even the raging, storming kind-- the ones with howling winds and thunderous claps of lightning that illuminate the very sky. it's sad and cold that heavily drops on your already straining roof. your dampened mood worsens and you decide to get out of bed and make a hot drink to help you sleep.
you briefly glance at the alarm on your bedside table and see that it's 2:31 a.m., way too early to do anything at all.
just as you reach the bottom of the stairs, you hear 3 heavy knocks at the front door. any normal person would panic and call a friend for help, but your friends ace are usually the ones getting kicked out, so you figure something similar happened.
imagine your surprise when you see your boyfriend in all his 202 cm glory. his hair sticks to his face in an unfairly handsome way considering he's absolutely soaked, and somehow the look accentuates the pretty green hue of his eyes that have only ever looked at you like you were everything and more, even when he's angry at you.
...did he walk here?
you continue staring at him for a while and your realize that while your lover is incredibly beautiful- so much so the word beautiful could never begin to describe him- he is also very. pathetic. if only people knew how much of a wet cat he was. he even bumps his nose against yours as an act of affection sometimes.
and that fact is ever prominent right now. his arms are crosses and his lips are jutted in a cute pout, refusing to say a word.
"..."
"..."
"..."
you don't know what to do exactly, considering there isn't a manual for 'what to do when your draconic boyfriend stands outside your front door in the soaking rain while he remains completely silent', so you slowly turn and walk through ramshackle's living room and into your dainty little kitchen.
heavy footsteps follow close behind you, followed by a light thud of a closing door and the muffling of the rain. malleus continues to follow you when you boil enough water for two, when you take out your tea bags (gifted by kalim) and seep it into the water. you take the occasional glance here and there, wondering if you should speak before ultimately deciding against it. maybe he doesn't want to talk right now.
he sits closely next to you- so close your knees touch when you rest yourself on one of the seats against the table. your fingertips briefly touch when you pass him the newly brewed tea and it's almost like he wants to reach out to hold your hand, but he pulls away at the last second.
from there, you sit in silence. the heat of the mug spreads from your cold fingertips and you warm up as you drink your tea. already, your becoming tired. you look at mal once more and he still has that adorable pout on his face, but his eyebrows aren't as furrowed as before. usually, you'd gladly offer a cuddle during a rainy night, but tonight's been strange.
so when you try to leave your seat, a hand suddenly stops you. it's the first time he's looked you in the eyes the entire night and good god it's cute, lame and pitiful all at the same time. truly, a stray kitty in a box out in the rain begging for attention. his eyes look up at you in the saddest way possible and you swear you see a wet sheen-- and that damn pout that's going to be the fucking death of you one day is still there.
"i'm sorry," he mutters, and he shifts from one hand holding yours to two. "i can't stand being apart from you." the apology is blunt, honest and sincere, just like him.
you gently lift the hand he wasn't holding to his cheek and he nuzzles into it, closing his eyes as he enjoys your petting. something deep rumbles in his chest and you realize he's purring again.
"m' sorry too, mal. shouldn't have said what i said."
almost immediately, the heavy rain lessens before quickly coming to a stop. there's a smile on his face and the all-too-familiar, tell-tale blush on his cheeks. you place your finger under his chin and tilt his head before kissing him softly. he's dormant and still, like he's afraid of breaking this moment, but he tightens his grip on your hand like he's afraid you'll leave.
malleus chases your lips in hopes for more when you pull away all too soon. he's staring at you with a look as sweet and delicate as spun sugar.
"let's go to bed, mal."
he chuckles like he always does. "if you insist, my love." like he wasn't waiting, hoping you ask him.

I got a request that I think is pure evil
Alastor x Fem!Reader | Angst
Alastor has spent all his time in hell focused on himself and his power, but in the back of his mind, he always was on the lookout for his wife that he had when he was alive.
He tells himself that he hasn't found he because she's in heaven with his momma until she shows up at the hotel, but she has no memory of him (but it is her, Alastor can tell)
So he tries subtly reminding her, but she doesn't quite understand what he's doing.
If she falls in love again or if she does manage to remember is up to you ❤️
I RAISE YOU ON THIS HEADCANNON AND LABEL THE READER AS A FALLEN ANGEL!
"I KNOW YOU"
Alastor x wife!Reader
Prompt: For as long as Alastor has been in hell he didn't look for you. He assumed that you had gone to the pearly gates of heaven with his mother with the way you acted when you were married in your lives. He had tried to forget about it, no longer seeking you but still needing you one way or another. What will he do when you show up at the hotel with no memory of you two ever being married?
After everything Alastor had done in his life, he was sure he deserved hell. The moment he got there he knew that, and there was no way he wanted to redeem himself. In his own eyes, he didn't particularly do anything wrong, he got rid of of those pesky and awful men who thought with the wrong head or were horrible people. And there was nothing wrong with that.
The only regret he had was leaving you and his mother up there all alone to figure out his true hobbies, and while he was hoping he could see you down here in hell. He knew damn well that a sweetheart like you was never going to be in the place for the damned. As his time went on in the pits of hell, the less hope he had for seeing you again. There was no sign of you and thank the gods for that. He couldn't bear to see you in a place like this.
He let out a small hum, blinking a couple times as he was brought back to his current state, looking down at the vegetables he was cutting. His hands shook slightly as he put down the knife and leaned against the counter. That harsh feeling swirled in his chest once again at the thought of you, despite him knowing this was for the absolute best. He couldn't help but grieve your touch. Wanting to hold you one more time in his lifetime.
Maybe that was the purpose of his hell. Having to live without you? "Hello! Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel!" Alastor tilted his head, walking out of the kitchen and retying the back of his apron. His eyes squinted a little bit as Charlie brought you into the lobby, a small hurt smile brought to her face as she explained why she was there. "I- I fell...I know that there's a chance you won't even accept me but I had nowhere else to do!" A sob wracked your frame, your hands covering your face as the pale-skinned woman patted your back. "I heard you were Lucifer's daughter- so I thought maybe you guys would help me...?" Charlie nodded, a loud sigh leaving her as she looked around for someone to look after you for a bit while she grabbed Vaggie. "Alastor! Would you mind looking after her for a moment while I go find my dad and Vaggie?" He nodded, quickly being dragged over to you. His eyes continued to widen as he got closer and closer. "Uhm...Hello!" You waved to the deer man and smiled. His body ridged as he looked at you.
You looked almost the same as you did the day he died. "Y/n..?" You blinked a couple of times, folding your hands in front of you, and looked up at him. "I'm sorry, do I know you...?"
He never thought four words could hurt that much, his smile tightening as Charlie left the two of you there. A huff left his lips. "Oh...Uhm. Do you remember me?" You shook your head, brows furrowing in confusion as you took a closer look at him. "No...I'm afraid not. After I died I don't have much recollection of my life...I'm sorry." His shadow formed behind him, a small frown on it's face before it zoomed away to somewhere else. "Oh, it's uhm- fine. My name is Alastor dear! It's a pleasure to see you again!"
Alastors ears pinned to the back of his head as you shook his hand. His body wanted to lean into the warmth you emitted.
~!~
You were sitting down in the lobby, eyes scanning the book in your hands. Reading more about hell and what it was like before going out into the world.
Alastor stared from the bar, ears pinned against his head in a mopey way. "C'mon dude, you're practically undressing her with her eyes," Husk growls a little bit, staring at Alastor with a scowl. "Oh- Forgive me she just...She doesn't remember me." Husk raised a brow. "Remember you? Did you know her?" Alastor nodded, a huff leaving his figure as he took a sip of his Rye. "She was my wife- She was in heaven after I died she just...doesn't remember me." Husk nodded. Huffing and actually feeling a bit bad for the awful man in front of him. "Maybe remind her? Recreate scenarios you two experiences..it works in the movies and books." Alastor's ears perked up as he listened, looking around for any sign of a radio. "That's actually quite smart for you Husker." The cat-man growls a little bit. The radio on the table in front of you started to play the song, the upbeat jazz in the background bringing you small memories of when you'd dance with your friends at the old speakeasies, spending most of your time dancing and singing on stage with the rest of the ladies you worked with. "Hello dear!" Alastor appeared in front of you, a smile on his face like always, a small giggle leaving you at the sight of his dressed-down state. Just wearing a red and black turtleneck and some dress pants. "Care for a dance? My dear?" You nodded, standing up and patting down your dress before he quickly took your hand and spun you around. A loud genuine laugh left you as you danced with the man.
Laughter filled the room, the music in the background blaring as the saxophone filled it. "Oh! Oh my!" You placed a hand against his chest and you two danced. His tail moving behind him as he listened to you enjoy yourself. "Aren't you a smooth dancer!" he laughed a little bit himself, twirling you once again. Charlie watched from afar, a small smile on her face as she stopped angel from talking about the sight. "My dear it's not rocket science to dance, just to learn it!" You couldn't help but hum, the music coming to an end as you tried to keep dancing. Your hands rested on your head, the small headache you had from the dancing getting worse and worse. "Are you alright my dear?" You reached out for youas you sat down, eyes closed due to the pain. "My love?" "It's nothing...just a bit of a headache, don't fret too much over it." You smiled up at him, trying to keep a cool head. "I think I'm going to go back to reading, if you don't mind." He nodded with a sigh. Trying not to overthink it.
~!~ "Oh Alastor! you shouldn't of!" Alastor stood in your doorway with a nice plate of beignets. His ears pinning to the back of his head as you took the plate from his hands and swiftly invited him in to share them. "Oh how did you know! I haven't had any since I was alive, oh!" You placed them down on the little table you had, clapping as you sat down. "oh?" Alastor sat down across from you, his ear twitching a little bit. "Who was the last person who made them for you, love?" You thought for a moment, just remembering how they were placed in front of you. "I believe....my husband?" You looked down at your dress, trying to remember. "I didn't...know I had a husband.." He blinked a couple times, his heart speeding up more and more. "Well- don't think too hard about it little lady! Just eat up!" You nodded carefully and took a bite. Absolutely stunned at how delishes the sweets were. ~!~ " would you mind grabbing me a tea dear?"
Alastor nodded, the tea appearing on the table in front of you. "oh! Thank you!" "Anything for my dear!"
"Why, *****. Would you mind getting me the cinnamon? " You turned around, looking at the man behind you with a bright smile. His apron red with the words 'kiss the chef on it'. "Anything for you my dear!" He kissed your cheek and you giggled.
"You...did i know you when i was alive, alastor?" He stood still, charlie looked over and raised a brow. "What?" You blinked a couple times.
"I'm so sorry, i shouldn't ask. Uhm- you just remind me of someone...but I can't remember who that someone is.." You shook your head. Laughing a bit as you grabbed the tea and walked away.
Alastor stood in his place, a small twitch in his smile as his ears pushed against his head. A small hum leaving angels mouth as alastor grabbed his coat where his heart should be. ~!~
You looked around everywhere, trying to find the book you were reading and asking almost everyone if they had seen in. It was a little cookbook about new orleans' finest dishes. "Alastor- Dear, have you seen my cookbook?" You walked into the kitchen and hummed, looking up towards the red demon. He was standing over the stove. Some jazz playing from his staff in the corner of the room next to the fridge. He looked back at you and laughed a bit. "Oh! Sorry dear! I found it by the stove and decided to try out a new recipe of deer meat I had found! Do forgive me." You grabbed your head, letting out a small groan and stepping back. Looking at him still.
"Are you alright?" "Honey! Have you seen my gardening apron?!" You walked into the kitchen, a small frown on your face as you looked around for that as well before your husband turned around. A guilty look on his face. "I may or may have not mistaken it for my hunting apron! Please forgive me..." You laughed a bit, huffing and walking up to him with a loving smile. His hands covered in blood from the deer meat he had been making. "I forgive you of course...but my dear red suits you well." You untied the back of the apron and retired it for him.
"Mm, how are you feeling love? Not throwing up anymore?" You shook your head no. Leaning your head against your husbands shoulder as you watched him work away on dinner. "I think it's the Jambalayah love, maybe it is too spicey for me this time..."
"Alastor...do- do you happen to make jambalayah?" He nodded happily, clapping his hands together. "Yes! My mothers recipe of course, it's truly delicious!" You walked up to him and huffed. Standing in front of him with tears in her eyes. "And...you lived in a nice cottage...right? Next to lake....on the edge of town." His smiled dropped a little bit. His ears flattening against his head. "Did you shoot any dear tonight love?" Alastor walked through the door and hung up his jacket, a bright smile on his face as he nodded. "A big one! it's in the back of the truck love." You reached up and ruffled his hair. A laugh leaving his seemingly always smiley face. "Oh my dear you look so tired...why don't I run a shower for you?" Alastor hummed and wrapped an arm around your waist. "Only If you join meee..." You laughed and gently hit his chest. Shaking your head no as he pouted and followed you up.
"Just far enough from the town and just close enough to the stores..." He looked down at her with a soft look. "And just a drive away from the forest..." "Oh Alastor!" You hugged him, tears in your eyes as you held onto him for dear life. "Oh how I missed you my love!" Alastor hugged you back, nearly suffocating you with how tight it was. Laughter filling up the room as he picked you up and spun you around. "Oh my!" "Me and your mother were so worried after you had died- i moved in with her to take care of her but sooner or later i had died from-" You stopped that sentence. Sniffling a little bit and looking up at him. "well that doesn't matter..." You hugged him tightly again.

We cry together
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Idol Hyunjin × non Idol Gn!Reader
Genre: hurt/comfort, drabble
Request: Can I request reader who’s an en empath and when she senses that hyunjin has been sad lately she starts crying and then that makes hyunjin cry too and finally open up to her about what’s wrong😭🩷
Warnings: none I can think of
A/n: I think you requested this like last year💀 I'm sorry for taking so long but hopefully you'll like it!
Tumblr media
Hyunjin hasn't been himself lately, and you knew that better than anyone else.
His eyes were darker than usual, like he was feeling tired all the time. He'd barely joke around anymore or do his dramatic antics. You knew he wasn't being his normal self, however you didn't know why.
"I'm fine, don't worry" was his usual response to any approach you'd have. Just like now. A whole week had passed and he still was walking around like a zombie - a zombie who'd always fake a smile to try to make you feel a little bit relieved.
You didn't know what else to do. You tried to talk just to hear lies about how he was feeling alright. You tried to comfort him just to realise that he was wearing a barrier around him. You tried to be there for him just to realise that he himself wasn't there, nor anywhere. He was so inside his mind that the real world was inexistent to him.
With this dilemma inside your mind, the whole day had already passed and it was time to bid goodbye. He didn't look at you though, and his "goodnight" was such a whisper that you doubt he meant to say that at all.
Now that's a funny thing about loving someone. You don't only have feelings for them, you have their feelings. If they are happy you're gonna share their smiles. If they are angry you're gonna share their screams. And if they are sad, even if you don't exactly know the reason, you're bound to share their tears.
So when you hug Hyunjin as a farewell, you can't help but cry. You didn't mean to, but the more you cried the more helpless you felt and just tried to find comfort in your lover by hugging him tighter, hoping that you wouldn't disturb him. However, your sobs made Hyunjin come back to earth and back to you.
"Love?" he asked with a soft voice "are you crying?"
You didn't reply at first. Oh, how embarrassing it was to cry like that for no apparent reason. But Hyunjin took your face in his hands and looked at you with the kindest eyes to ever exist. It was the first time in the whole week that he looked at you properly. You didn't realise how much you missed it.
"What happened?"
"I should be the one asking this, Hyunjin. You've been weird for God knows how long and you refuse to tell me what's wrong."
A mixture of confusion and guilt showed up in his eyes before he dried your face with his thumb "You're crying because of me?"
You smiled. Not because you found it funny, but because you couldn't believe the situation itself.
"I just... I just want you to know that you can trust me. I'm here. For whatever you may need or want. Even if I can't solve the problem, I hope that at least we can cry together."
Hyunjin hugged you closer before you could see his tears forming. It was kinda contradicting, really. But for Hyunjin, the way you were already crying together ended up solving the problem in his head, at least for enough time for him to breathe again.
"Do you think I could sleep here tonight?" His voice was a little bit muffled, his face in the crook of your neck, but his words resonated in your skin. You felt he was little to little coming back to life.
"Of course. Why's that?"
"I wanna trust you tonight. I'll tell you everything. Just let me be here with you, please."
"Always."

A Light To Break All Shadows
Just a fluffy little Halsin x Tav fic to keep the darkness at bay. Also on AO3, if you prefer. Thank you for reading! 💕
“How long has it been since you’ve slept?”
Tav is eyeing Halsin suspiciously from the opposite end of Art’s bedside, where he’s been keeping watch over the sick man for days. At least, Halsin thinks it’s been days– perhaps three (or maybe four?) at the most. It is difficult to keep track in the Shadowlands.
At any rate, he cannot answer her immediately, which means his answer is insufficient.
“If you have to think about it,” Tav continues, “It’s been too long.”
She has a point.
He is exhausted, as they all are, but cannot bring himself to rest. They are so close– he is so close– to finding the child that will save them, to ending the hundred-year darkness, to restoring light and balance to the land.
And Art Cullagh, ill as he is, is the key that will unlock their victory, so Halsin feels as though he must protect him every moment, must stay by his side in case he should wake, or take a turn.
For days, he has persisted, spurred on by his stamina and willpower. For days, he has waited and watched. Now the idea of sleep falls on him like a spell.
“It is my duty.” He protests. “I will see this through.” “You will,” she agrees, “When you wake. These people will need you in the days to come. And they will need you to be rested.”
She is playing to his sense of responsibility, he knows, but he is too tired to argue. Reluctantly, he nods his agreement.
When he rises from his chair, it seems that all his centuries of existence catch up to him at once, his joints and muscles burning. He feels old and sore and weary as he drags himself toward an empty bed.
“Go on,” Tav commands gently. She feels like a mother nudging a child off to sleep. “Even the greatest leaders need rest.”
“Then you ought to rest yourself.”
She laughs at that, though Halsin means it. He knows so few who are so capable, so resilient, so kind. She has already accomplished so many things that he could not, not in hundreds of years of practice.
“You flatter me,” Tav smiles, but Halsin shakes his head.
“You are extraordinary.”
His gaze is on her when he says it, on her eyes and mouth and hands, the way her armor cleaves to her, the way her weapon rests against her hip. In another place, another time, another life, he would have had her already, would have known her inside and out if she asked him to.
And she had asked him to, once, before they came here. He remembers. At the time he had denied her as gently as he could, in the knowledge that what was growing between them, if cultivated, could later prove a distraction, a weakness.
But gods, he had wanted her then. He wants her still.
Yet such urges, much like sleep, must be suppressed. At least for now.
Tav stares back at him with wide eyes until she feels a flush come over her cheeks. She turns her face away, just slightly, so that Halsin will not see.
“Well.” She clears her throat, and redirects. “I’ll rest before we go scouting tomorrow. And I’ll watch Art while you sleep.”
“As you say.”
**********
In his dreams, he is back in the Shadowfell, that sunless, cursed place.
At his feet are bodies, Harper and druid and shade alike. He knows their faces, their names, their stories. Here is Atlan, a boy from his own grove, no more than eighteen years of age. Halsin had cured him once of pox, had later mentored him in the healing arts.
And here, Jehan the Harper, who had just received word that his wife was expecting. Twins, he’d announced, over a round of drinks at Last Light.
And Moranna, the Selunite priestess who had blessed them again and again on their journey, had prayed over them and shielded them to the best of her ability.
All lost to the shadows, corrupted beyond recognition. All dead, cut down by his hand.
Halsin does his best to avoid stepping on them as he presses onward, each step a battle of its own. The weight of darkness seems to crush him, seems to drain the very life out of his body.
His god is nowhere here.
There comes a voice through the black night, distant, disembodied. Halsin, the shadows whisper, and whisper again, closer. Halsin.
Wildly he turns and swings his glaive, hitting nothing, the panic rising in his throat, and–
“Halsin!” Tav exclaims, blocking a swing of his fist with her forearm.
She is sitting at the edge of his bed looking concerned, frightened even. His skin is slicked with sweat, his breathing heavy, his body tangled in the bed linens.
Immediately, a white-hot shame rushes over him, that he should be the one to cause her fear.
That he should strike at her, even unconsciously, his savior, his ally. His friend, though that is too weak a word for the feeling that grows within him, wraps around his heart like wild ivy.
“Forgive me,” he pants, “I was–”
I was lost in the darkness, he means to say, I was frightened and alone, but the words stick in his throat like flies in honey.
Yet Tav seems to know already, a tenderness softening the furrows of her brow. Not pity, he notes. Understanding.
She has seen equivalent horrors, has seen friends fall and foes flourish and still, and still, keeps fighting toward goodness, toward light. He aches with the thought that she might have such nightmares, that she might know firsthand how he feels now.
But she soothes him, reaches out to wipe the sweat from his brow, her touch as light and cool as an evening breeze.
“It’s alright,” she promises. “You don’t have to explain. You are safe here.”
Halsin lets out a breath he’s been holding for too long. It has been many years since he was last comforted, truly comforted. He is so accustomed to doing the comforting that he has almost forgotten what it feels like to be on the receiving end.
Tenderness is no stranger to him– many of his lovers have been gentle, have been sweet– but none have ever known his burdens, none have carried them, taken them on as their own. Here is one who has, who does, who will, if he will let her.
He takes Tav’s hand in his and guides it, flattens her palm over the rabbit-fast beat of his heart, breathing deeply, willing it to slow. He wants to say, Thank you, then, I love you, but it’s too soon, he thinks, too desperate, no matter how true.
“Thank you,” Halsin allows, and swallows the rest.
Tav smiles at him then, a soft, bright thing, like a single star in the night sky. The true last light in the Shadowlands.
“Shall I stay with you?”
“Art–,” Halsin starts, but she shakes her head calmly, knowingly. “He’s sleeping soundly. Seems his bad dreams have come to visit you.”
“I do not wish to burden you with something so trivial.”
“You could not burden me,” Tav says quietly. “But I will leave, if you prefer.”
Her thumb strokes over his chest, her hand still pressed against him. His pulse quickens again at so intimate, so innocent a touch. Halsin wonders if she can feel it.
“I prefer your presence, always. But you need your own rest.”
“Very well.”
Her palm slips from him as she rises to her feet, and he thinks for a moment that he’s made a mistake, has waved off her kindness, dismissed her.
Rather, she motions for him to move over and climbs slowly, wordlessly into the bed next to him. He finds himself lifting the sheets for her, inviting her in without hesitation.
She’s changed, he realizes as she comes close, her armor cast aside for the day. Her nightclothes make her look, make her feel smaller, softer. He wants so badly to slip his hands beneath the fabric, to see how soft she is beneath.
“Is this alright?” Tav whispers, looking earnestly into his eyes. Her fingertips flit over his cheek, brushing a lock of his hair behind his ear. “Are you alright?”
The bed is small and Halsin is not, and she is pressed against him like a flower between the pages of a book. He can only nod.
“I will rest here then, with you.”
In the gentlest act he can or will ever remember, she leans forward and kisses his eyes as if bestowing a blessing upon them, a ward against the darkness.
**********
Halsin wakes again in near-total silence, save the gentle inhale-exhale of Tav’s breathing beside him. He doesn’t know how much time has passed, and for the first time in a long time, doesn’t mind.
Instead, he is aware of how peaceful he feels in this moment, sheltered from the dangers beyond the inn, aware that at one point or another he had let go of his worry and settled deep into dreaming. The earlier tension in his muscles has melted into a tired ache, as if he is returning from a very long walk in the Grove.
And she is here, wrapped in his arms. A light to break all shadows.
He can’t be sure when it happened. The shift had been imperceptible, like the feeling of falling asleep, or falling in love.

cw// cancer mentioned, no character death
Eddie's moving to Chicago with his boyfriend and their best friend.
Eddie's moving to Chicago and it feels like everything is finally coming together.
Eddie's moving to Chicago, Steve Harrington is his boyfriend, and his life is starting.
Eddie's moving to Chicago, but then Wayne gets sick.
He tells Steve that he can't leave, not yet, needs to take care of his uncle.
And Steve, his Steve, perfect Steve, says with no hesitation, "I'll stay. Eddie, I'll stay with you. We'll go in six months. Together, that's the plan."
But Eddie can't let Steve do that; Steve who is everything bright and good and right in the world. Steve needs to get out, even if Eddie can't.
He insists Steve go, insists so hard that Steve can only agree, though Eddie can tell it's killing him.
Before they leave, Steve and Eddie cling to each other.
"Six months, baby. Just six months and then I'll be with you."
"I'll stay, Eds. Let me stay for you?"
"Not in a million years. What's six months in a lifetime together?"
"You mean that?" Steve whispers, the words tickling against Eddie's neck.
"Of course, sweetheart. Never meant anything more in my life."
They cling harder, crying against each other, despite it being goodbye for now and not forever.
They haven't said "I love you" yet, and the words hang on his tongue as the embrace ends, but he can't say it now; not when six months of time and 200-plus miles will separate them.
Except Wayne isn't better in six months. He's not worse, but the cancer's still there, he's still sick. And Eddie can't leave.
Eddie figured something like this would happen. Knew in the back of his mind that Steve and Robin and Chicago were never anything but a pipe dream.
When he calls Steve, he thinks he's ready.
"Okay, so Hopper's letting us borrow his truck, but he needs to know our timeline. You think next Saturday--"
"Steve." He says. His stomach clenches.
"What's wrong?" Because Steve knows, like he always does.
"Wayne's not better."
Steve is silent for a beat. "Okay...that's okay. I'll come back. Right now. Tonight. We'll do this tog--"
"You know I can't let you do that."
"Eddie--"
"No, Steve, don't. Okay? Let's just. It's time, you know?"
"It's not. Eddie, it isn't. Don't do this. Please, please," Steve cries.
"It's for the best. I know you can't see it now, but it is. You need to live your life, Stevie. Get that degree. Be someone."
"Eddie," Steve sobs. "Please. You have to know that I lo--"
"Don't," Eddie snarls. Doesn't mean to but can't hear those words, the three that will break him in two. "This is for the best, Steve. A clean break, yeah?"
"No." And Eddie hears Steve shuffling on the other end, like he's getting up. "I'm not letting you do this. I'm coming back, and we're doing this together. A lifetime, remember?"
Eddie's crying now, can't help it. "Please, don't. Steve, just--it's over, okay? I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I can't do this anymore."
He hangs up the phone before Steve can argue, cries himself to sleep.
5 Years Later
Eddie never gets over Steve Harrington. His golden boy, the brave, perfect, kind, bratty man who has his whole heart.
Wayne is okay. Will never not have cancer, but he's doing good. And Eddie runs a record store in the town over. Visits some bars in Indy when he feels a certain kind of lonely. He's settled, finally, is the thing. He's settled and happy enough, so of course, that's when it happens.
He's at the grocery store, stopped in produce. There's a little girl, maybe 3 or 4--bright pink shirt, chestnut hair, little overalls--sitting in a cart by the tomatoes.
The sight of her sparks something in Eddie's chest, but he doesn't understand what or why, and then she's pointing at him, smiling and wiggling. "Daddy!" She shrieks.
That's when Steve Harrington swoops around the corner, reaching for the girl, his daughter, and Eddie takes a step away, ready to run from this.
The girls says, "That's the boy in all your pictures." She giggles and points at Eddie more. Steve blushes, and Eddie's assaulted by so many things all at once he thinks he may pass out.
"Stevie," he hears himself saying.
Steve freezes, looks at Eddie, so much knowing in those hazel eyes it makes him a little sick. But it still surprises him when Steve pulls him into a hug. Being in those arms again, It's like everything keeping him together falls apart. He sinks into the hold, breathes in deep, feels like home.
It shouldn't, though. Steve's got a kid. Probably a wife. Can't have his ex-boyfriend falling apart in his arms in the grocery store. Eddie disengages, steps back a little. Steve blinks, eyelashes fluttering, and Eddie is still so in love with him it hurts.
"I should--I should go," he mumbles, gripping at the back of his neck like it's a lifeline. The little girl giggles more, bouncing in her seat, and he's overcome with fondness. Can't help but give her an exaggerated bow as he goes.
He makes himself walk to the end of the aisle, but once he's left Steve behind, he runs.
That night, when a knock comes at his door, nothing prepares him for a sheepish Steve Harrington standing on the other side.
"Sorry to drop by unannounced," Steve says, manners still impeccable. "Wayne gave me your address. I'm glad--I'm glad he's doing okay, Eddie."
Eddie's too astonished to respond, nods for a few seconds before, "Th-thanks. Uhh, you wanna come in?"
Steve does and then they're in Eddie's little living room together and what the fuck is he supposed to do?
"Where's the kid?" he asks. He gestures Steve to the couch.
Steve smiles, a soft thing that's a knife to Eddie's heart. "Oh, I left her with Robin. They'll be fine for a few hours. Her name's Ellie, by the way. Ellie Jane Harrington."
"She knows who I am?" Eddie asks.
"Course. I told her about everyone. Showed her pictures. I hoped she could meet you one day."
"Yeah?" Eddie can't stand the thing that unfurls in his chest, blooming with love, so much care it aches in his teeth. "I swear next time I won't run away."
Steve laughs, hazel eyes fond in a way that Eddie can't look at for too long. "You didn't run away, Eds. It was a weird--reunion."
Eddie chuckles, pulls hair over his face. "A little bit. Not every day you run into your ex and his daughter scoping out tomatoes."
"I was hoping to give you a call, ask you out to dinner, or something. Not my kid recognizing you at Bradley's Big Buy."
"You wanna take me out to dinner, Stevie?" He asks before he can think better of it. Steve blushes red, and god Eddie missed him.
"Thought it might be nice, yeah. Get to know each other again."
It's Eddie turn to blush. "Why are you here?" He asks, good of a segue as any.
"Here, like, in your apartment, or here in Hawkins?"
"Both."
"I'm--uh--the new counselor at Hawkins High. Might coach the basketball team."
"But--Chicago," is all Eddie can say.
Steve laughs. "It was fun for a while, but--I don't know, man, it got hard with a kid. Joyce told me about the job opening and I decided to try."
"And Ellie's mom?" Eddie doesn't want to ask, can't stand not knowing.
Steve's eyes fall. "Ah," his hands squeeze into fists. "She's not in the picture. Never really was. After--" he takes a deep breath. "After we broke up, I sort of. Lost myself for awhile. Slept around. One night, I got this call saying that a baby had been surrendered at a fire station, my name listed as the father."
"Oh, sweetheart. I bet you didn't hesitate."
Steve stares at his hands, smiles. "Not for a second. I cried when I saw her, Eds. Just fucking sobbed. She was so beautiful. Then I had to figure out how to raise a kid and finish school."
"But you did it." Eddie can't hide that he's crying anymore.
Steve nods, is crying too.
"I'm really proud of you, sweetheart," Eddie whispers.
They look at each other, tear stained and sad but somehow so happy, and Steve leans forward, presses his mouth to Eddie's. He freezes, shocked to stillness, overwhelmed with the thing he never thought he'd have again.
Steve pulls back, face red and eyes wide. "I'm so sorry. I got it in my head--" he stands, fumbling for his keys. "I should have never--you told me we were done and I know you meant it. But I saw you in the grocery store and I thought, you know, I'm never getting over him. I'm so stup--"
"Steve, wait" Eddie snaps out of it all at once, hurrying to where the man he's never stopped loving is shoving his feet inexpertly into his shoes.
"Don't leave," he says, almost whispering. "Please don't leave. Steve, I'm so, so sorry for how I ended things. I was so young and stupid, and--I didn't want you to lose your dreams for me."
Steve turns then, tears trickling down his cheeks. "You were my dream, Eds. You still are. I should have come back, made you let me stay. But I thought--maybe your feelings had changed. That you didn't--that you weren't--"
Eddie can't help it, pulls Steve into his arms. "I was. I am. You're all I've ever wanted." He presses his face to Steve's hair, breathes in deep. "I loved you then. I love you now. I've loved you every day in between."
"I love you," Steve sobs. "I love you so much."
They kiss, lips slotting together like they never stopped. It's salty with tears, but it's perfect. It's them.
Their mouths part, but they stay in each other's orbit; need the proximity after years apart.
"I have a kid now, Eddie," Steve says into the silence between them.
"Yeah," Eddie nods. "She's beautiful. Looks like her dad."
Steve smiles, flushes again. "She needs stability in her life, you know? She's my priority. Always will be. And if I--if this--"
Eddie knows. Understands his boy just as well now as he did back then. "We'll take it as slow as you need, baby. I want to be there for both of you. When you're ready. And until then, I'll be wherever you need me."
More tears escape Steve's eyes, but Eddie brushes them away. "We have a lifetime to figure it out."

Soft Rain: Gojo Satoru x Reader (SMUT! Mature/Explicit) Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want to first say I usually try to find a photo that fits the aesthetic of the story but this one was way too good to walk away from. Everyone enjoys this gem <3. Also, this fic because it's too damn long is split up into two parts. Part 2 is already up and will be linked at the bottom of this page.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*Rating: Mature/Explicit (Sexual scenes)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*Summary: You are in a coffee shop one rainy day when a sad beautiful stranger enters. Slowly, you open up to each other in the warm confinement of the cafe. Little did you know that you would fall in love with this man, and he with you.
I wrote this from the perspective of seeing Satoru with his barriers down. No masks, no facades, just him when he's alone with his haunting thoughts. I wanted to give him a more human perspective and touch on some of the things that plague his mind. I know I have been MIA for quite some time, if you were someone who was waiting for this I am sorry! Life has been a rollercoaster recently but I am finally back to being in a place of stability. This is certainly a longer fic, so I hope you all enjoy it. As always feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*Word Count: 25k+
September: When I met you
“Your coffee, miss.”
“Oh, thank you,”
Finally, you tore your eyes away from your book to smile at the girl handing you your drink.
You gratefully accepted the liquid, hands wrapping around the warm ceramic mug as you inhaled deeply. The bitter scent of coffee with a hint of vanilla kissed your senses, causing you to smile.
Taking a sip, your eyes wander to the large window as the warmth travels down your throat.
Soft rain fell from endless gray.
It had been raining for hours now, which drove you into the small cafe. You were pleased when you entered the space. A warm cozy atmosphere fragranced with coffee and paired with the sound of rain.
What more could you want for a reading environment?
You let yourself settle further into the oversized couch, watching placidly as drops of rain slowly travel down the planes of the window.
Such a perfect day.
Peering down at your watch, you sigh. It was nearly 5 pm. Idly, you run your fingers along the soft threads of the couch, drifting further into your own thoughts. You knew you had to leave sometime soon, but willingly tearing yourself away from this serenity seemed like a crime.
“Is this seat taken?”
Huh?
You pull your eyes away from the window to find a man standing before you, soaked to the bone in rainwater.
Soft white hair stuck to his porcelain skin. It drew your attention, eyes unable to look away. However, when your eyes met his, your breath caught. They stole your attention; piercing blue that seemed to know everything .
“No, go ahead. Do you need a towel?”
You realized you were staring all while feeling slightly awkward. There were many other open seats, why did he need to choose the one that was adjacent to you?
“Do you have one?” he asked with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes.
Giving him a curt nod, you began digging in your purse until you found your folded hand towel. Silently, you handed it to him and he accepted it, sitting down with a huff, roughly drying his hair.
Beginning to feel uncomfortable, you set down your coffee and resumed reading your book. Your fingers lightly played with the cover – feeling the embossed words, you traced the shapes, mind unable to focus.
Who is this guy?
You peered at him over the cover.
He had unzipped his black athletic jacket and draped it over a chair. He now wore a simple white button-down shirt and it clung to his muscular body. The color of his skin bleeds its way into the white, stealing your attention. With eyes discreetly tracing the planes of his body, you noted the pale blue veins that delicately decorated his hands.
You blushed, feeling as if you saw something you shouldn’t, so you quickly turned your eyes to the book – pretending to read.
Is he some kind of gym rat? Why is he so fit? He looked like a noodle a second ago…
“Miss?” his low voice calls, breaking your thoughts.
You meet his eyes over the pages.  His hair, now more dry than wet, began sticking up in multiple different directions. The male is holding your towel out to you with a sad smile on his lips.
Deciding reading is futile, you close your novel, placing it to the right as you shake your head.
“Keep it,”
You don’t want a wet towel in your purse and it seems he doesn’t have an umbrella. It’s not much, but you hope it’ll give his spikey head a little coverage.
“You sure?” he asks, already leaning back to find comfort in his seat. You control the urge to stare at his body. So you grab your coffee, forcing your eyes to look at the deformed latte art.
“I’m sure. It seems it’ll get more use with you. Why were you outside in this weather anyway?”
It had been raining for hours, most people would be in their homes by now.
He eyed you for a moment, white eyelashes downcast, almost like he was recalling a painful memory.
“I wanted to be alone, my thoughts were loud, so the rain helped block them out. What about you?”
How can you say something like that so casually?
“Honestly, I was on my way home. But it had started raining and it led me here. Pulled out my book, and yeah…”
You shrugged your shoulders.
If you were being sincere, it was a needed escape. The walls of your home felt too suffocating, you looked for any excuse to not return.
“What’s your name?”
You now fully looked at his face.
He is handsome, with a sharp jawline and regal features. Nothing about him was mundane, it seemed as if he was a sculpture; something perfect and unattainable.
“Y/n, you?”
“Satoru. What do you do for a living?”
With eyebrows knitting together, you eyed the man.
What is this, a surprise interview?
“I am an author and I do some remote networking for a hospital. What about yourself?”
His eyebrows rose at your response and you couldn’t tell why. It’s not like your profession was anything to be shocked about.
Taking a sip of coffee, you sigh. The warmth slides down your throat as the delicate taste coats your tongue. Silently, you savor the feeling – the easy calm that washes over you.
“I am a sorcerer,”
The cup nearly dropped out of your hands.
Well, shit.
It’s not that you didn’t know they existed, it’s that you did your best to distinctly distance yourself from that world.
That explains the physique at least.
“I am sorry, then.”
You watch as his eyes turn sorrowful, then he faces the window, cheek in his palm.
“I don’t see any cursed energy coming from you, how do you know about us?”
It’s a simple question, but in truth, it was perhaps the heaviest one to ask you.
“A close friend. They went missing about 6 years ago. Police never got a trail, so I dug and I stumbled upon a lot of information I shouldn’t have. Been doing my best to ignore it since.”
You weren’t sure why you were talking to this random stranger. Maybe it was something in his expression, with the way his eyes longingly looked out the window – as if he too missed someone close to him.
Satoru hummed as he tapped a finger against his thigh, perfectly in tune with the soft rain.
“I lost someone too,”
The man spoke so softly you hardly picked up on his words. If you hadn't been paying attention to him, you may not have caught it.
“A lover?”
Judging by his expression, you guessed it had to be someone he loved. But, to your surprise, he let out a humorless laugh.
“No, but you could see it that way. He… Was like the other half of me. Someone I could trust. I knew with him, I could let go and be myself. I could breathe. Because he was the only person who saw me .”
Endless blue plagued with deep sadness gazed towards you, knocking the air out of your lungs.
“When it rains, it reminds me of him.”
Your heart dropped.
“Where is he now?”
Becoming fully invested in the man in front of you, you cross your legs, leaning your body forward.
“I… He’s dead. It’s been a year,”
Satoru’s eyes turned down again.
Unable to stop yourself, you reached out, gently taking his hand, rubbing the cold, soft skin of his knuckles. Your touch shocked him for a moment, but he slowly relaxed into it, large palm melting in your delicate fingers.
The contact made your body shiver.
When was the last time I touched someone?
“Do you want anything?”
You didn’t want to offer him fake pleasantries, for you thought he wouldn’t appreciate it. However, you also didn’t know what to say. Nothing comforted you when your friend died, and you were positive it was the same for him.
“No, I am good. Thanks though.”
Nodding softly at his words, you reluctantly remove your hand to find your drink. Again, you welcomed the warmth of the liquid, relishing in its taste.
“Do you plan to leave soon?” the question left your lips in a whisper.
“Yeah, but if I am being honest, I don’t want to go back. I kind of just want to forget, y’know?”
At his honest words, you sighed, taking another long sip of your coffee.
“Unfortunately,”
He laughs at your answer. The pure sound makes you smile into your cup, shaking your head to try not to join him.
Maybe some company wouldn’t hurt.
With eyes falling to your coffee, you let your laugh die in your throat. It had been so long since you willing had a conversation with someone. Now you felt stiff and awkward.
“I-If you want, my home isn’t too far from here. You can wait out the rain there. I have some extra clothes that might fit you, that way we can wash your current ones.”
Finding a little bit of confidence you offered the man a small smile, to which he returned with his own.
If you were being honest, it seemed like he needed someone.
And maybe you did, too…
“Inviting a stranger over to your home? That’s awfully brave.” Satoru said with some found bravado, which only made you chuckle.
“Well yes, you are a stranger. But you also look like a wet, sad cat. It would break my heart to leave you stranded.” you tease back, earning yourself a smile from the male which made you bite the flesh of your inner cheek.
He really is beautiful, it's kind of unfair.
To hide your blush, you stuff your face into your mug, gulping down the remnants of your coffee.
“Alright, as long as I don’t end up in a crop top and short shorts.”
It was your turn to laugh. You couldn’t help the giggle that bubbled out of your throat, just imagining him in such an outfit was ridiculous – all long limbs in hot pink and denim.
Somehow, you think he would pull it off if he tried.
“Oh I don’t know, now you’re giving me ideas~” you coo playfully, wiggling your fingers in his smiling face. He feigned being offended, crossing his arms over his chest, and looking the other way – which only caused you to laugh harder and him to join you.
The two of you giggled uncontrollably a bit, hands lacing over your stomachs. It was the only sound that could be heard other than the soft pitter-patter of rain.
Deciding you had overstayed your welcome, you began collecting your items. In a pair, you exited the building. Your bodies huddle together under the umbrella that Satoru held. The male looked down at you with a wicked smile, then jumped in a puddle, effectively splashing the both of you with cold rain. You laughed and pretended to be annoyed, joining in his childish behavior.
At some point, you began chasing each other in the rain, umbrella forgotten. You laughed like children till you reached your home, the two of you completely soaked.
Still giggling, you unlocked the door, wiping your hair out of your face.
“Wait here, I’ll get you a towel.”
Knocking off your shoes, you padded over to your hallway closet, grabbing two towels. You were already running yours through the length of your hair when you returned to the male. He gratefully accepted the fabric, using it immediately against his unruly hair.
It was then that you noticed his height and stature. His body is elegant and lithe, whereas he is tall, easily towering over your frame.
This somehow annoyed you.
Why do all the good genes go to one person?
“You’re staring,” he commented and you shrugged.
“Just thinking you’re unfairly blessed,”
A long sigh escaped your lips as you dropped your towel to the floor, hoping to clean some of the water off the polished wooden planks.
“You wouldn’t be the first – Is that a cat?”
Catching the excitement in his voice, you smile.
“Yes, that’s Noir. Before you say it, I know she’s white. I just like the novelty of the name.”
Slightly shaking your hair, you hang up your jacket, watching Satoru stare at your cat out of the corner of your eye.
“Will she attack me?” he asks and you hear an audible gulp .
Satoru places his towel on the floor, cleaning up his own puddle of water with his foot to hide his embarrassment.
Who knew such a big man would be so cautious of a little feline?
“Here,”
Holding your hand out to the male, you lightly cock your head to the side, wet hair tickling the nape of your neck. He places his large hand in your small one and you lead him to Noir, who is currently perched on your gray couch, cleaning herself.
Gently, you guide his hand to your cat, allowing her to give him a sniff. Then, she affectionately nuzzles her head into his palm, purring when he scratches under her chin. You watch as he smiles like a big idiot, squatting down so he’s at eye level with your pet.
“I think she likes me,” he whispers to you happily, and you roll your eyes playfully.
“She likes everyone . That girl is also a glutton, the T-R-E-A-T-S are on top of the fridge. I am going to take a shower, keep my precious furbaby company will ya?”
You couldn’t help the tight squeeze of your heart at the sight. In a way, they kind of resemble each other. Right down to the unruly fur and knowing blue eyes.
“I wouldn’t let anyone harm her for the world,” he promises, and you chuckle.
“Good,”
Feeling some life return to him, Satoru pads over to the kitchen, securing the treasure; treats for Noir.
“Here girl,”
He makes kissing noises and the soft feline comes running over. She has a fluffy white coat, and if she had been asleep on the couch he may have mistaken her for a throw pillow.
The cat ‘meowed’ at the sight of the bag, spinning in a circle then sat down, staying perfectly still.
Oh, did your mommy teach you tricks?
“Oh, good girl, Noir!”
He excitedly plucked out a treat, placed it in his palm, and then brought it down so she could lick it off his skin. The scratchy feeling of her tongue tickled his hand until the snack was gone. Then she was sitting again, big blue eyes begging him for more.
“Let’s see,” Satoru hummed happily, grabbing another treat from the bag, holding it a little higher than the cat.
“Jump!”
Noir did as commanded, gracefully jumping, catching the treat in her mouth, and snacking while walking in a triumphant circle.
“Ohhh~ You’re such a smart girl!” the cat rubbed his leg, purring affectionately into him. He knew that she was buttering him up, but he didn’t care.
Over and over, he played with Noir. Giving her treats with each performed trick, petting her lovingly after every graceful action. Eventually, he sat down, ignoring the bite of the cool kitchen tile, letting the cat lay on his chest.
He closed his eyes, enjoying Noir’s warmth and soft fur against his skin. Her soft purs tickled the pads of his fingers, making him smile to himself.  The feeling ebbed some of the ice out of his chest, blocking out the whispers of loneliness.
“I see my little lady has captured your heart,”
He cracked open one eye.
Y/n was smiling down at them, wet hair surrounding her soft features. She dressed simply in a white t-shirt and sweatpants, but she still looked beautiful.
He sighed, kissing Noir’s soft little head, then stood. Y/n’s eyes followed his movement, every bit of curiosity easily readable on her face. He couldn’t remember the last time he was around a non-sorcerer. However, her presence was calming, and he was willingly letting himself drown in her serenity.
“The bathroom is down the hall on the left. I put the spare clothes on the counter along with a fresh towel,” her eyes raked his frame. She then clicked her tongue with a disapproving look on her face.
“Put those ruined clothes in the hamper and place them in the hall. I’ll wash them.”
Oh, she’s just not happy about my clothes. It wasn’t toward me.
“You got it, boss,”
Satoru smiled playfully, finding his familiar mask. He heeded her words and headed down the hall. Once in the bathroom, he shut the door and got to work.
Quickly, he peeled himself out of his now-damp clothes and placed them in the empty clothing hamper.
She’s kind.
Hiding behind the door, he slid the hamper into the hallway.
“Clothes are out!”
It was a bit odd, calling to her as he hid his naked body. It made him feel slightly embarrassed somehow.
“Alright!”
At her response, he closed the door.
He felt a blush creep up his cheeks as he turned on the shower, stepping into the comforting heat. It warmed his rain-chilled flesh, blotting out some of the emptiness inside him.
Why do I feel so nervous?
While raking his hands through his hair, he let his day settle over him.
In truth, he never meant to enter that cafe. He simply meant to walk around aimlessly, letting the rain soak him to his bones. Thoughts of Suguru always plagued him on days like this, and with the anniversary of the day he left passing, it was worse.
He couldn’t let his students see him like this, so he sought to punish himself. Walking in the rain for hours, dropping all barriers, letting his body turn frigid.
Then he saw her .
He watched as she had to tear herself away from her book, brightly smiling at the barista handing her the coffee. She settled into the couch, drinking her drink while looking out toward the rain with such serenity he couldn’t help but be drawn to her. It was as if she was tranquility itself, surrounded by the warm glow of the industrial lights, dressed elegantly in soft white and pink.
At that moment, she pulled him away from his haunting thoughts.
Feeling the unwavering need to be closer to her, he stepped into the shop. He didn’t know what he needed, but he found himself relaxing little by little under her whimsical gaze. The woman didn’t probe him or shy away. Instead, she offered her silent kindness and pleasant smile. He then found himself opening up to her, saying things that he hadn’t said to anyone in years .
She surprised him, when she softly grabbed his hand, asking if he wanted anything rather than giving her sympathy. He allowed himself to get lost in the kindness of her eyes. He let her touch him, having to hide the shiver that ran down his body from her warmth.
Then, they were laughing.
Before he knew it, they were chasing each other in the rain like children. Even though she was soaked down to her socks, she was spinning and laughing, hair sticking to her skin as she happily jumped into cold puddles to splash him. It was as if they had no care in the world.
Not once did thoughts of Suguru attack him, even with the feeling of rain tracing his skin.
A light smile tugged on his lips.
Who knew I just needed to feel normal?
You were setting out the items to make dinner when Satoru entered the kitchen. When you turned around, you had to stifle your laughter.
The sweatpants, though several sizes too big for you, came to about mid-calf length on him. It also didn’t help that he was wearing a baby pink t-shirt and a pair of fuzzy house slippers to match.
“You look dashing,”
Placing a hand on your hip, you motion for him to twirl with your other, earning yourself a bemused glare from the male.
“I look like a twink,” he huffs, a blush lightly kissing his pale cheeks, making you giggle.
“Can you cook?” you ask, completely avoiding responding to his statement. His eyebrows knitted, taking in the ingredients on the counter.
“If you instruct me,” the words leave his lips slowly, still trying to piece together the dish you’re making. You laugh, walking up to him and placing a reassuring hand on his broad shoulder.
“Don’t worry too much. It’s pasta, if you mess up just add more cheese.”
Letting your eyes meet his, you hold your breath.
They were softly looking down at you, corners folding kindly as if he was looking at something precious. The difference was so stark from the emptiness you saw earlier – it made your heart melt.
“I’ll blame you if it goes wrong,” Satoru winked down at you, hand coming up to your hair, ruffling it lightly.
“H-Hey!” you retort, and he laughs, easily avoiding your swipe at him.
“What’s first?” he asks innocently and you huff while rolling your eyes, unable to hide your smile.
“Let’s hope you don’t burn down my kitchen.”
Turning on some music, you and Satoru worked together to make dinner.
Laughter sounded throughout your home as you instructed the male. You watched as he fumbled with different utensils, unsure of what to do with each item. He would turn red, blaming you for not instructing him properly when you would tease him – which only resulted in you both laughing under your breath.
Noir had joined the party, nimbly weaving between your two bodies, brushing up against your legs as you cooked. Once you were waiting for the pasta to finish cooking, you were humming and swaying your hips to the music. Satoru noticed and took your hands, joyfully dancing with you.
You both danced around your kitchen, laughing infectiously. At some point, he picked up Noir, snuggling her close to his chest with one arm as his other spun you.
The silliness continued through the night as you turned on a rom-com movie and halfway through Satoru was tearing up, asking you why he would leave the girl. You were too choked up yourself, shaking your head and cursing at the male lead, holding Noir close for emotional support. With both of you fed up, you decided there was no way you were ending on a sad note, so you turned on a children's movie to feel better.
Which, somehow, made both of you more emotional.
Once the movie was over, you washed the dishes together. It was only then you saw the time.
“Oh my god!” you cried, almost dropping the freshly dried plate.
“What?” Satoru asked, much calmer than you.
“It’s midnight! Do you live close by? I’ll pay for your taxi back. I am so sorry, I lost track of time.”
The male only laughed, making you pout.
Why is he laughing?
“No, I don’t live near here. The taxi would be expensive. I’ll find a hotel, don’t worry about it.” he smiled softly, eyes crinkling at the corners.
You shook your head aggressively.
“I can’t make you pay for a hotel! After all, I invited you over, so I should take responsibility.”
“I, um…” running a hand through your hair you sigh. There’s really only one option but that seems a bit much.
“You can stay the night, the couch is moveable so I’ll just make it into a bed for you.” heat rushed to your cheeks. You were so embarrassed.
I got lost in the moment .
“Are you sure? I don’t want to invade your space.”  he took the plate from your hand and put it away.
“I’m sure. I spend most of my time alone, anyway. Your company isn’t entirely unwelcome.” you could only hope you sounded natural. Internally your brain was screaming at you.
Satoru rolled his eyes, making you chuckle.
“Oh, wow, thanks. Makes me feel so wanted.”
“I am glad you feel that way!” you chirp, playfully elbowing his side as you finish putting away the last dish.
Satoru picks up Noir, nuzzling his nose against her pink one as he starts bad-mouthing you.
“Your mommy is very mean. You should come live with me, I’ll give you lots of treats~”
Rolling your eyes at the sight, you make your way to the hallway closet to pull out an extra blanket and pillow.
Tossing the items on the couch, you cross your arms over your chest. Satoru was possessively holding Noir close to him, eyeing you suspiciously.
“She sleeps with me,” the man-child announces, and you roll your eyes.
“If you truly feel the need to claim her for the evening, then fine. Just don’t be surprised when she’s on your head in the morning.”
Still eyeing you, he slowly places Noir down. The furball comes running up to you, rubbing her head lovingly against your leg.
“Traitor! I just gave you so many kisses.”
Laughing, you motion for him to help you move the couch. He obliges and you work together to shape it to a somewhat bed that will work with the length of his body.
“You should learn spooky magic that makes you shrink.” you huff, eyeing his long frame.
Again, he was back to looking like a noodle. But you knew that he packed muscle under the semi-baggy clothes.
“It’s called jujutsu and I don’t think that exists. Also, you’re staring again,” he notes and you sigh, waving a dismissive hand.
“I am going to bed, if you need anything just knock on the door.”
You turn and you hear him chuckle.
“Avoiding me?”
Looking at him over your shoulder, you run your eyes over the length of his body, this time letting him watch your features.
“You’re beautiful and strong. However, you’re also hurt and trying to piece yourself back together…”
Pausing, you consider your words.
A fallen angel. Made of pure moonlight and stars. But shattered like the image seen through a kaleidoscope.
“I hope you heal your heart, Satoru.”
Without waiting for his response, you closed your door, locking it behind you.
Your worlds are completely different, and you couldn’t even begin to imagine what he had been through. Nor were you going to pretend to know.
But if there’s one thing you could relate to, it’s trauma.
Satoru spent the entire night tossing and turning. Noir was resting above his head, purring softly against him. With each passing hour, his throat became drier and drier, until eventually, he was coughing.
My head hurts and my throat feels like sandpaper.
Once the first rays of morning sunlight trickled through the window, Satoru was coughing aggressively while his body felt extremely hot.
Am I sick? There’s no way.
Y/n came out of her room with her hair a mess and her pajamas wrinkled. The second she heard his cough she was rushing over.
“How are you feeling?” she asks, voice soft and somewhat gravelly.
She was rubbing the sleep out of her hazy eyes, already moving to press the back of her hand to his head.
“No, I am fine–” he coughed and she flicked his forehead.
“You're burning up. Most likely a cold from the rain. I’ll go get you some medicine, just rest.”
Sighing, she ran a hand through her tangled hair.
“Really, I’ll be okay. I’m–” Satoru couldn’t even finish his sentence. He started coughing aggressively, each retch of breath making him feel like he was eating sand.
“Right, and I can fly. Don’t be stubborn.”
Rolling her eyes, the woman padded over to the kitchen.
“I can fly!” he shouted hoarsely like a petulant child, plopping back against the cushions, and reaching up to grab Noir. The second his fingers wrapped around her soft warmth, he brought her to his chest, rubbing his nose into her fur.
“Good for you!”
This is humiliating .
After a few minutes, she returned with a mug in her hand.
Slowly, he sat up. His chest felt like it was caving in and he felt incredibly lightheaded. Satoru eyed the mug and then gingerly took it from her small hands.
“What is it?”
He sniffed and she raised her brow.
“It’s ginger tea with honey and lemon. It’s hot. The honey and temperature, once it cools a little , will help soothe your throat.”
Why does it sound like she’s talking to a kid?
Giving Noir a loving pet to the head, she crouched down so she was at eye level with the feline.
“As for you, my sweet girl, your food is in the kitchen. Watch over this big child for me.” the cat seemed to understand its master because she ‘meowed’ in response.
“I’m not a child,” Satoru said begrudgingly. Y/n only stood with a bemused expression.
“Right.” she eyed him up and down once, then walked away.
Satoru felt his face become hot, and it wasn’t from the steam kissing his cheeks.
Usually, women threw themselves at him. It had happened so many times now with both men and women that he assumed he was everyone's type. But it seems Y/n couldn’t care less about his looks.
For whatever reason, that bothered him.
How can she call me beautiful but be so cold toward me?
Without thinking, he gulped his tea, only to quickly pull away due to the heat burning his tongue.
Cursing softly, he set the mug down on the coffee table, pinching his burnt tongue between his thumb and forefinger. He tried to reach for Noir for comfort, but she had long abandoned him for her breakfast.
Y/n exited her room, hair pulled into a loose bun as she wore a baggy white t-shirt and black cargo pants. He couldn’t help but think she looked cute in her streetwear.
Once her eyes saw him, she sighed, a soft smile on her lips.
“You know, I did mention wait to drink your tea till it had cooled. I thought you were a good listener. But it appears I misjudged you.”
With an elegant wave of her hand, she bid him farewell. He watched as she slid on an army green windbreaker and black Dr.Martens. Then she grabbed her purse and left, leaving him alone with his thoughts.
Knitting his eyebrows together, he turned his head toward Noir. She was eating her special food neatly, back to him as she softly purred.
“Is your mommy always so mean?”
Walking down the street you couldn’t help but look at the puddles decorating the ground. Yesterday was the first time you laughed and had fun in years.
When you and your best friend moved to Japan it was scary. You were a foreigner and you didn’t know anyone. So naturally, when she passed, you became more isolated. You tried going outside to meet people, but sometimes it felt like too much. People were more interested in the fact that you’re from the States, they were never really interested in you .
To add, you work remotely from home, so opportunities are truly limited.
“Eh, adulting is hard~” you whispered to yourself as you entered a local convenience store.
The clerk at the desk welcomed you in and you gave them a slight bow in response.
Immediately you B-lined for the medicine, grabbing the items you needed. Then, because you were already here, you began searching the aisles for snacks.
I was expecting him to be gone this morning. Even if he’s sick, I can’t say I am not happy for the company.
After checking out you started to head home, thinking about all the trivial things you needed to get done today. You had deadlines to meet for your book and you had to look through the servers to make sure there were no network issues.
Grabbing a coffee from a small shop that you frequent, you began frowning, feeling the lines form on your forehead as your daily list seemed to keep stacking higher.
You were sipping on the last remnants of your iced latte when you opened the door to your home, finding Satoru fast asleep.
Softly closing the door, you shimmied out of your jacket, hanging it on the wooden coat rack. Noir padded over to you, the sound of her little paws tapping on the floor sounded through the space. Smiling sweetly, you pat your cat on her soft head as you take your boots off.
Making your way to where Satoru was on the couch, you note he seemed to look worse. His cheeks are flushed and his skin is pale. You make press your hand to his forehead, but you feel like you're touching a wall.
What?
Your fingers were splayed flat against an invisible barrier, hovering right over Satoru’s body.
“Strange,” you murmur in wonder, trailing your finger over the length of the wall. It stretched all around his body, protecting him in a bubble.
Satoru opened his eyes, softly blinking as he adjusted to his environment, taking in your features.
Suddenly, that wall is gone, and your hand falls limply to your side.
“It’s called Infinity,” he rasps, light cough already pressing out of his throat.
You hold up your hand to silence him, quickly grabbing the medicine you purchased earlier.
“Don’t worry about explaining anything. Just drink this. There’s a sleeping agent in it, so expect to feel drowsy.” he opened his mouth to protest, but you shot him a pointed look, effectively silencing him.
The male sat up, accepting your carefully measured medicine. He drank it, making a face as it went down his throat.
“It tastes like shit,” he coughed and you rolled your eyes.
“You know what that tastes like?”
Leaving the medicine on the coffee table, you make your way to the kitchen.
“You’d be surprised.” he shoots back, voice already sounding better.
“Oh, I am sure~” you make your voice annoyingly sweet as you prepare a bottle of water for him. Once you made your way back to the couch you saw his features flatten, not taking your teasing kindly.
“I have seen things that would probably make you piss your pants and cry.”
He catches the bottle you toss him and you shrug your shoulders.
“Maybe, maybe not. I may not be as soft as you think I am.” Satoru’s eyes widen in surprise and you turn away.
Plopping down on the overstuffed chair adjacent to him, you pull out your laptop from the convenient cushion/storage. Once you obtain your computer and headphones, you place your feet comfortably on the cushion, letting your back sink into the softness of the chair.
“You’re a non-sorcerer, what have you seen that’s on the same level as curses?” his voice calls, no prejudice in his words, just general curiosity.
You roll your shoulders. Suddenly, they felt heavy. Every time you thought about your past this happened. Your shoulders would ache as cold sweat licked your spine.
Opening your computer, you sigh, remoting into the network server you manage.
Maybe if I talk about it while working it’s not so bad .
“Curses are born from human's negative emotions, right?” you start slowly, not wanting to look at him.
“Right,” Satoru confirms, confusion in his tone.
“You see, some people act on those emotions. Anger, fear, sadness, resentment…” Swallowing thickly, you continue.
“I think you’ll find that some of those people are much more ugly than curses. Curses don’t wear masks, they are just as they are. People, however…” you cracked your neck, diligently typing in commands into your computer, eyes scanning your screen.
I am not my past. It does not define me.
You repeat this mantra to yourself, steadying your nervous heart.
“Have you experienced it? The ugliness of humanity?” you could hear the caution in his words, almost as if he was scared to say the wrong thing to you.
Your hands had stopped typing entirely.
You opened your mouth to answer but felt the words die in your throat. You could hear your heartbeat in your ears as your eyes shook. It was like two hands were wrapped around your neck, thumbs pressing into your windpipe, choking you.
Taking a deep breath, you steady your heart.
I am not my past. It does not define me.
“Y/n–”
“You should sleep, I’ll be in my office. It’s at the far end of the hallway. If you need anything just ask.”
Closing your laptop, you place your headphones in your ears. You see Satoru say something, but you pretend not to notice, watching as his features twist with confusion and self-doubt.
You walk away, playing music in your ears but you hear nothing. Everything is silent.
Sorry, it’s not your fault .
Once behind the door to your office, you let out a shuddering breath.
Why did I pay for therapy if I can’t even talk about it?
You spent years trying to feel normal, and for the most part, your brain let you forget. You could be fine for months, but then you get thrown into a space that’s a little too crowded and suddenly you can’t breathe. Someone touches your shoulder and you feel like a thousand spiders are crawling all over you. If you were in a space where there were too many noises, your brain would turn everything into white noise, leaving only the sound of your erratic heartbeat in your ears.
It was the reason why you were single. The last relationship you were in ended with him telling you that you were too complicated . Your love language is physical touch, but sometimes that touch was too much, too overstimulating, or triggering. You enjoy being outside, but can’t be in crowded spaces without being plagued by anxiety, and living in Japan, well, it’s always crowded.
Maybe I am just better off alone.
Satoru awoke to the sound of Y/n humming softly.
Cracking open his eyes, he peered over the edge of the couch. It seemed she was making something, but her headphones were in and she was swaying lightly.
He recalled the way she looked just hours prior; shoulders caved in, sweat running down her face, eyes distant. She looked like she would run away any second. So many questions circled in his mind, but more than anything he wanted to hug her. He had seen that look too many times.
Turning his eyes away from the female, he checked his phone.
Shit, they’ve been calling me.
Yaga had called him 6 times whereas Megumi texted him.
“Where are you?”
“I won’t be back for a little bit. Hold down the fort, kay’?”
Megumi immediately responded.
“What are you talking about? Are you on a mission?”
“Don’t worry~”
“Stop being weird.”
“If anyone asks, I am handling a personal matter.”
“Whatever.”
Satoru had a sneaking suspicion that if he admitted he is sick, he would never live it down.
“You awake?”
Y/n’s head was now peering over him, the ends of her hair tickling his face. He searched her features, but none of her earlier fear remained. She looked calm, but now he couldn’t help but wonder what lies beneath the surface of that practiced tranquility.
“You’re staring,” her soft voice teases, making him chuckle.
He moves to sit up and she removes her face from his view, stepping around the couch to hand him a bowl. He takes the dish from her hands to find a broth-based soup with meat, noodles, and vegetables.
“Did you make this?” he asks as she takes up a seat beside him, blowing on a spoonful of golden liquid.
“Mhm. You’re probably not very hungry, but try to eat a little bit.” she hums as she takes a bite of her food, bringing one leg under her other, comfortably settling into the couch.
Satoru follows her lead, blowing on his soup, and then taking a bite. The warm liquid soothed his throat as the broth coated his tongue. It was light but enjoyable.
“Do you cook often?” he asks, turning to face her and she does the same.
Watching as she shrugged her shoulders, he bit back a smile. Her hair was a little messier and her cheeks were lightly flushed from the steam of the soup.
“If I can, I avoid going out too much. I’m a homebody.”
He nodded his head at her words, understanding what she meant. He was the same way, but also different. Being out on a mission or being at Jujutsu High made it difficult for him to eat homemade meals like this. More often than not he would eat out. If he had a choice though, he would rather relax like this.
“Do you not like people?” he ensured his voice was neutral, not wanting her to feel cornered or pressured.
Meeting her eyes, he watched her swallow thickly, considering his words.
“It’s not that. I just don’t do well in crowded, loud spaces. Were you able to sleep?” she changed the subject so naturally he barely caught it. Somehow, he found himself frowning, feeling as if he’d been robbed of an opportunity.
“Somewhat. You said you’re an author right? How’s writing going?”
He watched as she scrunched up her face, shaking her head.
“Annoying. I keep rewriting this scene, but I can’t seem to get the atmosphere right.”
Taking an aggressive bite of her soup, she set the bowl down, leaning her head back against the couch.
Even when she pouts she’s cute.
“What’s it about? Maybe I can help.”
He wasn’t much of a writer, but he was also curious about what her story was about.
Her face suddenly became red, so much so to the point that she turned her gaze away from him.
“I-It’s not important. You said you slept somewhat well, right? Is anything uncomfortable?” she asked without looking at him.
Smiling, he set his bowl down and poked her red cheek.
“Eh? Why don’t you answer my question first~” she swatted his hand away but he kept pressing, now lightly pinching her cheeks.
Y/n faced him, eyebrows furrowed as she shook her head, taking his hands with her.
“No way! I will not divulge secrets of my unpublished novel to you.”
Her small hands wrapped around his wrists to pry his hands away, but he didn’t budge. Instead, he moved his hands to her sides, tickling her waist.
“Hey! Ah, what’re you doing–”
Laughter filled his ears, and it was like sweet music. He laughed with her, now moving her body to fully face him. She kicked her legs furiously, not caring that she was kicking his thighs at all.
“Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!”
Her hands were frantically grasping at him. She was grabbing his arms, chest, and neck, pulling him closer to her squirming body as she was shouting while laughing.
“No, ah, please stop!” She cried helplessly, hands fisting the shirt that rested on his body, and grabbing it so harshly it pulled his body forward, making him catch himself on his hands to not crash into her.
His eyes widened.
Her face was inches from his own as her hot, heavy breaths tickled his skin. Shocked eyes stared into him and he took in her features. Long dark eyelashes fluttered against her flushed cheeks as her lips, full and parted, began distracting him. Her dizzying scent filled his nose– soft rose with a hint of sandalwood. He could feel the ghost of the rise and fall of her chest as her hands, still fisted in the fabric of the loaned shirt, trembled.
Beautiful.
Hesitantly, he reached up and traced the curve of her cheek. She closed her eyes, body shuddering as she leaned into his touch. Her skin was soft beneath his fingertips, and he let himself enjoy the feeling of her warmth seeping into his pores.
“Y–”
Noir jumped between the spaces of their bodies and planted herself right on Y/n’s face. Satoru reluctantly removed himself from the scene, allowing Y/n to pluck Noir off of her.
“I– what has gotten into you Noir?”
The woman held the fluff ball right above her head. The feline flattened her ears while she swayed her tail back and forth.
“I think she doesn’t like sharing her mom,” he suggested and she lifted a brow.
“Or maybe, my precious girl was saving me from my assailant.” She spoke in a baby voice, gently shaking Noir.
“Don’t say it like that! It makes me sound like a creep.”
She sat up, pulling Noir close to her chest as she placed a kiss on her head.
“You attacked me, as far as I see it, I am speaking the truth.”
Turning her head in pure defiance, the woman set down her cat as she stood, taking their finished bowls of soup with her.
“If you just told me I wouldn’t have attacked you!”
“You admit to your crime, then?”
“I plead the 5th.”
What was that just now?
Satoru placed his hand on his chest, feeling the erratic beat of his heart. His cheeks felt hot, and he wasn’t sure if it was from his sickness or the lingering scent of her perfume.
She scoffed and he heard the sound of water running. The only noise that filled the space was the sound of dishes being washed, and her making something. Once the woman returned, she was holding out a mug toward him while holding one of her own. He took the liquid from her hand, and she rejoined him on the couch.
Eyeing the cup, he noticed it was the same tea from earlier, but much less hot. Y/n fidgeted with the string of her tea, he watched as she brought her knees up to her chest, eyeing him sidelong.
“About earlier, I am sorry.”
She lowered her dark eyelashes, eyes refusing to meet him as she took a sip of her tea.
“Don’t apologize. I shouldn’t have asked you something personal.”
His response seemed to surprise her. She faltered for a moment, then set down her mug, slightly facing him. Satoru took a drink of his tea, the temperature pleasantly warm, easing his sore throat.
“It’s not that. It’s just hard to talk about, my mind will suddenly go blank and I can’t think.”
She wrapped her hands around her knees, resting her cheek on them as she let her eyes meet his. Solitary sadness peered at him, whispering of isolation and numbed scars – a look he knew all too well.
“It doesn’t hurt me anymore, but forcing myself to relive memories is harder than coping with them. People always say talking about it makes it easier to deal with, but I think that’s bullshit.”
He laughed lightly at her words, making the corners of her mouth lift softly.
“I haven’t talked to anyone about Suguru since it happened. I don’t think they would understand me if I said what I was really thinking.”
His finger traced the rim of the ceramic mug, memories of his youth playing in his mind.
“Whatever you feel, it’s valid. It doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong.”
His chest suddenly felt tight. Her words eased some of the tension out of his shoulders, making him avoid her gaze.
“Can I ask you something?”
She hummed in response and he swallowed his saliva. He needed to be careful, for he tended to be too insensitive at times.
“You seem so at peace, but earlier, you looked…”
He couldn’t find the right word.
Distraught, lost, fearful, horrified, panicked?  None of the words seemed to fit.
Y/n laughed, shaking her head, and letting it rest between her legs.
“Years of practice. It’s a mask of sorts. I let myself forget most days, and it’s easier when I fall into a routine. But sometimes, something will trigger me, and I kind of just… Shut down? I don’t know how to describe it, but I become numb to everything for a while.”
Her words struck him. He placed his mug down and leaned forward, forearms on his thighs as he resonated with her.
“How much do you know about the Jujutsu world?”
Maybe we can relate to each other.
“The basics. A lot of the times the Gojo family and the Six-Eyes came up in my research, but honestly, I skimmed through those bits, understanding almost nothing about it. Why do you ask?”
She eyed him, and he inhaled deeply. Her stare was piercing; like she was dissecting him.
“I am the strongest sorcerer of this generation. I am also a teacher to the new generation. I’ll save you from the specifics, but my role is incredibly isolating. Naturally, I can’t ever fail. There was a time when I thought I would be able to share this burden of power, but my dreams were crushed by the reality of my strength.”
Satoru opened and closed his hands, familiar frustration rising in his chest.
He looked at her and that frustration vanished. She gazed at him with open sincerity. Kindness traced her features, listening to every word he said earnestly. No sign of awe or admiration, just pure intent on understanding him.
He cleared his throat.
“You see, despite the blessings I have been given, not once has this power made a difference. When it mattered the most, I was unable to save those who I deeply cared for. So I smile, laugh, and pretend I am okay. But in truth, I want to destroy the system and people that have stolen the youth of so many, consequences be damned.”
The truth of his words lingered in the air. The only way he could cope after Suguru was by dedicating himself to a new goal, something substantial that would transcend through generations.
“I can’t claim to understand the isolation of power, I am just an average person. But, I do understand the loneliness and yearning for someone to understand you…”
Finding her tea, she paused, took a deep breath, and then continued.
“I never knew my parents, I was an orphan. Whether they died or gave me up, I don’t know. But I bounced around from one temporary home to another. Most weren’t great. Some kept locks on the pantry and fridge so I couldn’t eat. One would lock me in a small closet as a form of punishment, that is if they were too tired to hit me. Either way, there’s not a lot of people who relate to that. So it’s isolating.”
Y/n softly smiled at him. No tears filled her eyes, despite the heavy words that left her lips. She just smiled sadly, eyelashes softly kissing her cheeks; it felt as if she was peering into his soul.
He didn’t know what to say, so he took her hand in his, wrapping his fingers around hers, softly stroking her knuckles. She squeezed, soft skin hugging his own. He could feel the slightly rough texture of her fingertips as her warmth seeped into him, calling to his nerves.
She laughed lightly, shaking her head, setting some of her hair free of its confinement to frame her face. Again, he was struck by her alluring beauty.
“What?” the question left his lips in a breathless murmur.
“Usually, I can’t talk about that without my heart beating out of my chest.”
Without another word, she gently guided his palm to her chest, right above her heart. Subconsciously he held his breath as he felt the steady thrum of her heart. It softly beat against her chest, and he could feel it through the fabric of her shirt. Her lovely warmth kissed his skin, and he couldn’t tear himself away.
She smiled.
“No anxiety,” whispering in astonishment, her eyes searched his in wonder.
He was locked in her innocent gaze – eyes swirling with perplexed emotions.
Satoru smiled down at her, allowing her fingers to intertwine with his.
If only for now, let me be human.
“Tell me more.”
You spent the rest of your day exchanging stories of your youth with Satoru. Sometimes you laughed, and other times you teared up, but either way, you both listened to each other earnestly.
It was different somehow.
There was an ease to the flow of the conversation, and it washed away any lingering fear in your heart. It was like you could breathe for the first time – you could be you, and you didn’t shy away from it.
“How are you feeling?”
Having finished your 5th cup of tea, you were starting to get a little stir-crazy. Satoru seemed to be in higher spirits as his fever died down. From the looks of it, the medicine and his stupidly good genes fought off the germs quickly.
“Better,”
He sighed, stretching out his long limbs.
You pulled your eyes away from the sight, trying not to look at where the shirt had risen over his stomach.
“Well, would you like to join me for a walk?”
It’s a small offer, though asking still made you feel self-conscious. Your fingers fumbled with the damp tea-string idly, a welcomed distraction from the growing heat on your cheeks.
It’s not like I am asking him on a date, so why am I getting so embarrassed?
Satoru gave you a knowing smile but then gestured to his clothes.
“Just like this? Fuzzy pink house slippers and all?”
Rolling your eyes at his tease, you motion toward the bathroom.
“Your clothes and a toothbrush have been laid out since this morning. The outfit choice is yours to make. Brushing your teeth, however, is non-negotiable.”
“Oh, planning on stealing a kiss?”
The male stands, and you now have to crane your neck to meet his gaze.
A smirk tugs at his lips, and it makes your mouth go dry. Despite the playfulness of his demeanor, there is something predatory in his eyes. He takes another step forward, invading your space. Not close enough to feel his breath on your skin, but it was the distance that lovers stood from each other.
Finding some bravado, you speak.
“Fantasizing about me already?”
You feign confidence by placing a hand on your hip while puffing out your bottom lip.
To say that you’re not attracted to this man would be an outright lie. Also, to say that you only have platonic feelings for him would be another lie. But you weren’t going to let him know that, nor were you going to let him toy with your feelings.
Satoru's smirk doesn’t falter, instead, he lowers his eyelashes elegantly, looking at you in the way men look at women they’re enamored with.
“You want to make those fantasies a reality?” his low, breathy voice caught you so off guard to the point your eyes widened and your cheeks became heated.
“I– wha?” incoherent words fumbled out of your mouth.
Then Satoru laughed.
“You should see your face!” he said between breaths, making you only blush harder.
Embarrassment rising in your chest, you kick his shin, grateful his magical protection bubble wasn’t up.
“Ow!“
“Don’t pretend to be hurt! Go change you bastard!”
Cold night air nipped at the skin of your cheeks as you and Satoru walked silently side by side. The quiet was welcomed as you relished in the calm of the night. The warm glow of the street lights complimented the cool evening sky. Though only being just past 9, the streets were empty, which you appreciated.
Peeking at Satoru out of the corner of your eye, you smiled.
His eyes, beautiful and alluring in the night air, took in his surroundings. They seemed to be swallowing every detail, brain dissecting and memorizing the scene in front of him: Stone tiled streets lined with a mix of old and modern homes.
It made you wonder if he ever had moments of quiet like this. Because right now, he looked like a child who had never been outside a day in his life.
“Do you not go on walks often?” you ask, breaking him out of his reverie.
The male, with hair that of moonlight and eyelashes of silver, blinked – your words registering in his mind.
“It’s not that. Usually, I am on a mission. It’s not often that the world is this slow .”
Clasping your hands behind your back, you consider his words, trying to piece together an understanding.
“Care to elaborate with the class?”
The need to understand was greater than your pride. Even if you were to come up with a plausible answer, your guess would be further from his truth – and every part of you screamed to know that truth.
You hear him chuckle under his breath, then he turns his eyes to the stars.
“My eyes are special. To put it simply, they allow me to process everything around me at a much faster rate than the average person. So, usually, when I am out I am surveying my surroundings so much to the point where the simplicity of life is lost. Beautiful architecture no longer captures my eye, rather its existence becomes how I can use its shape to my advantage in a fight…”
His eyes found yours as he held your curious stare side-long.
“But right now, my mind is quiet. I can’t remember the last time I felt like this. With you, everything seems to slow down. Almost to the point that I feel normal.”
The sound of your skipped heartbeat filled your ears.
Unable to hold his burning gaze, you turned your eyes to the starry night sky.
The stars, bright and alive against midnight blue are surrounded by the white glow of the moon. They captured your attention – reminding you of the male at your side.
“I don’t think I could ever see you as normal if I am being honest.” the words left your lips in a whisper.
“Why’s that?”
His voice was filled with innocent wonder, so you answered.
“Everything about you is unnaturally beautiful. Not a single feature that decorates your skin is flawed. It’s like someone painted you into existence.”
Perfect and unattainable. Something to be admired, but never to be kept.
Curiosity getting the better of you, you allowed your eyes to peer over at the tall male. He was smiling softly, eyes staring up at the night sky, the stars that rested there reflected in his irises.
It was like he was talking to the stars, and they glittered brilliantly in response.
“You see me so poetically,” Satoru murmured, mostly to himself.
“How do you see yourself, then?”
The question left your lips before you could consider its weight. You watch as he takes a deep breath in, whether it is to calm himself or to simply enjoy the atmosphere, you can’t tell.
“Honestly? Objectively, I know who I am and the weight of my power, it’s not fueled by ego or feigned confidence, it’s just a fact. But when I look at my reflection, it’s blurry. I can’t see anything, because I resent myself. If I had just tried a little harder, been less selfish, and paid more attention, maybe things would have been different.”
His honest words cracked your heart.
You silently grabbed his hand, intertwining your fingers. He leaned into your touch, molding his hand to yours, thumb idly sweeping over the flesh. Unable to resist the smile that tugged at your lips, you let his warmth seep into your skin. Your hands swayed lightly, and to anyone else, you would’ve looked like a couple.
If only for a short time, I will open my heart to you.
“You know, someone once told me that you can choose to live in your past, to let it define you and your life. Or, you can learn from it and grow into the person you’re supposed to be, carrying the memories of those most precious with you. So, when I feel lost in the murky darkness of my thoughts I tell myself: I am not my past, it does not define me.”
You’ve never been this raw with anyone. Part of you was fearful he’d laugh in your face, but the other part of you whispered for you to let go. To continue baring your soul, because with him, he made you feel seen .
Satoru tugged your hand, halting your movement, stopping both of you in place. You met his eyes, a sheepish smile on your lips as you tried to hide your embarrassment.
“You are… A surprise.”
There is a hint of shyness in his voice, which in turn made yours rise. The tips of your ears felt hot, but you couldn’t pull away from his stare. You allowed yourself to be swallowed up in the moment, surrendering yourself to him under the gaze of the stars.
“Meeting your expectations?”
You bite the flesh of your inner cheek, feeling naked under his knowing blue eyes.
“Exceeding them and more,”
His eyes folded kindly, white eyelashes kissing his cheeks as soft moonlight illuminated him in an otherworldly glow. You couldn’t help but be swept away by his beauty – as if he was pure moonlight itself with dazzling stars for eyes.
For the second time this evening, your heart skipped a beat.
If you keep looking at me like that, I am going to fall for you, you idiot.
“Let’s go back, yeah?”
With forced enthusiasm, you turn around to head back the way you came. A light laugh escaped his lips as he allowed you to pull his body, which you were grateful for.
What he didn’t know was the act was to hide your deepening blush.
“Yeah,”
The evening ended and you went to bed feeling lighter than you had in years.
But in the morning, it vanished.
“Good morning,” you greeted him, having just finished freshening up for the day.
Satoru was dressed in the clothes you met him in, with the addition of a black blindfold covering his eyes. You saw that your couch was arranged the way it was previously, and Noir was eating her breakfast.
He cleaned and fed my cat.
“Morning,” his voice was somewhat distant, so you stood in front of him, placing your hands on your hips.
“You leaving?”
The fabric of his mask rises. Taking it as you surprised him, you rolled your eyes.
“I have to go back,” Satoru answered and you nod your head, taking a deep breath.
It’s not like you didn’t expect this. However, after yesterday, you knew you were going to miss him.
“I see. Thank you for cleaning up and feeding Noir.” You say pleasantly, trying to make your voice bright. There was no way you were going to let your feelings show. It isn’t fair to him.
Satoru took off his blindfold and stood, taking your face in his hands.
The sudden contact surprised you, but you didn’t pull away. Instead, you steeled yourself, forcing your eyes to meet his.
“You don’t have to put on an act, Y/n.” his thumbs rubbed the soft skin of your cheeks as his eyes, endless sparkling blue, stared into you.
You let out a small laugh, allowing yourself to lean into his touch. Closing your eyes, you begin committing him to memory – The callouses that peppered his hands, the warmth of his skin, the faint scent of fresh summer rain.
“You don’t have to make it harder, you know.”
Your words left your lips in a whisper, barely audible to yourself. But he heard it, tilting your head up, forcing you to meet his eyes.
“Is it so hard to let me know that you’ll miss me?”
His thumb traced your lower lip, and you shivered, tucking away that memory, too.
“Yes, because then I’ll be admitting something to myself I am not ready to face.”
With eyes stinging, you smiled sadly, drinking in his features for the last time. Soft and elegant with eyes that looked at you as if you were the only thing in the world that mattered.
Let him go.
Lightly wrapping your hands around his wrists, you pull his hands away from your face, separating your bodies.
“Please, go, and be safe.” Satoru nods.
Don’t leave.
“Goodbye, Y/n.”
I know I don’t belong in your world.
“Goodbye, Satoru.”
Will you miss me?
Leaning down, Satoru pressed his lips to your head. The soft, warm pressure made your skin tingle as his scent invaded your senses, giving you a false sense of safety. He lingered for a moment, hand brushing down your arm, making you bite your lip to hide your helpless whimper.
You closed your eyes and felt his warmth disappear. Only when you heard the ‘ click ’ of the door did you allow your tears to fall.
Curling up into a ball on the couch, you hugged your knees, crying into your skin. Your heart felt like it was breaking into two.
He was never mine, to begin with, so why did I get so attached?
His scent lingered on the couch and you clung to it like a child, desperate and hopeless. You couldn’t breathe, and you were sure you were shouting. Noir came to comfort you, soft body brushing up against yours as you cried violently.
That’s the first time he said my name…
Satoru had to force himself to walk away. Her cries reached him through the door, and it took everything in him not to turn around.
When she told him to leave, her eyes begged him to stay. When he kissed her forehead, drinking in her scent for the last time, he felt her small body tremble. While he walked away, his heart screamed at him to turn around, to pull her into his arms and soothe her pain.
But that would only make it worse.
Because their reality is that she is just a normal girl, and he is the strongest sorcerer of his time. Their worlds are completely different, and she would be in danger if he allowed her to be close to his heart.
And he wasn’t about to allow himself to lose another person to his strength.
Fall in love with someone else and be happy, Y/n.
“Why do we keep stopping in cafes, you don’t even drink coffee,” Megumi asks begrudgingly, but Satoru simply waves a nonchalant hand.
I thought I saw her…
“I just can’t help but chase the sweet smell of mochi!”
Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Satoru continues his leisure walk with his student. He hears Megumi let out a deep sigh – clearly getting more fed up with him.
“Where are we going anyway? You’ve been shut in your office ever since you came back from your ‘personal matter’. Why drag me outside with you all of a sudden?” another long sigh accompanied by an eye roll.
“I needed some fresh air and wanted company.”
It was half of the truth, but he was leading them to a training ground so they could have a private conversation. Too many untrustworthy ears at Jujutsu High.
“You really need friends your age. Or get a girlfriend, you’re getting old. At this point, you’re going to die alone.”
Before he could get offended, a woman in an army green bomber jacket and a book in her hand walks right by him.
Without thinking Satoru turns around and grabs the woman’s wrist. Her frightened eyes peer up at him and his heart sinks for the 10th time today.
“U-Um, excuse me, do I know you?”
Not Y/n.
Megumi yanks him by his collar. Satoru let him, of course, but nonetheless, he yanked hard .
“Sorry ma’am, he confused you for someone else, forgive him.”
The boy didn’t even wait for the woman’s response, he walked, dragging Satoru with him.
“What the hell is wrong with you today?” Megumi whisper-yelled, spitting venom in his direction.
Satoru sighed, letting his brief defeat wash over him as he righted himself. He put infinity back up, moving his student’s hand away from his frame, no longer wanting to feel the touch of another person.
“I rather die alone.”
That was all he said for the rest of their walk, pointedly ignoring every cafe they walked by.

oh oh marriage of convenience with sukuna if you don’t mind :]
sukuna didn't appreciate it. despite being the wealthy eldest son of the family, not once in his life did he get to choose what he wants. not a single choice was his but just another adjustment and wish of his parents. and he had to follow it because that's how he was raised.
he did turn rebellious in his teenage and tried to make a run for it but no matter where he goes, they always track him down. they destroy everything he finds comfort in that is outside their world. he is supposed to follow a standard. a legacy. which is why he was being wedded to you. not once did he appreciate you even if you tried your best, as you were taught to be a good wife. three months of marriage and he never slept in the same bed as you let alone make a conversation that is not a small talk.
but the man was bound to fall for you. his eyes widened when you stood up for him and his choices, going against his family. you took a bullet for him when the mole in his company tried to kill him for the convenience of the opposition party. he was burning in fear at the hospital while the red light of the operation theatre was on. you won't believe the sigh of relief he had on his face when the doctors announced you were alright. when you were finally out of your unconsciousness, the fisrt thing he asked was "why?"
"because i believe in you." and that meant even more than i love you to him. "your dreams or choices, sukuna...it should never cost you your freedom."

babe, only you.
jack hughes x reader
to feed my jack obsession recently, here’s a bit of angst and fluff (no mature content). please, enjoy.
also: there’s no proofread, so..
—————————
you found yourself always wondering; “am i good enough for him?”, “do i deserve him?”. comments had been lashed out earlier this evening to darken those already eerie thoughts that you fought so hard to not reside with. a long, long stay.
jack came into the room, that was the man that’s ‘in love with you’. those thoughts slashed at your mind little cuts kept wracking your head. the trance you were in was broken by your lovers lips lovingly placed onto your head, and you felt the couch slightly dip when he sat down beside you. his arm snaked around your shoulders and pulled you close to him, your head lying on his shoulder.
no one questioned if he did enough in this relationship. no one made snarky comments on how he was so quiet, how he looked like he never put enough effort into how he showed his love, but they did to you. and it was torture trying to hit those thoughts out of your brain. every single one of those comments lingered for longer and longer each time someone made another.
“what’s wrong?”
his soft voice lingered in the room as he ran his calloused hands up and down your arm. the television was playing in the background, an old re-run of big bang theory, muted, but with subtitles.
“jack, it’s just,” you started, why couldn’t you form words. a pang in your heart stung against your chest. “i don’t deserve you.” you whispered, he froze, eyes straying from the tv and to your slumped form against him.
“what makes you think that?” he murmured, his blue eyes connected with your glossy (e/c) ones.
“i- im not good enough-“ you were cut off by a sweet kiss to the lips. “don’t talk like that. i don’t care if your quiet, i don’t care what people say about our relationship, (y/n)!” he exclaimed. “people don’t know you, and how lucky i am to actually know and to be with you. i thank anyone in the skies above that they let me hold your hands. you are everything, my universe, my world. don’t let people tear into you.”
he rubbed his hands up and down your spine as you sobbed painfully into his chest, dampening his shirt.
the thoughts were still there, but at least you had someone to guide you along this long and winding road.
“i love you.”

You were making your finishing touches on your gown in the mirror, making sure every detail was perfect and every thread was in the right place.
You were so focused on the task at hand that you didn't even notice Lesso watching you, admiring you in the mirror. She adored you, and you looked stunning in the dress you chose.
She came up behind you, wrapping her arms around your waist, "You look ravishing tonight, darling." She planted a kiss on your neck.
You turned in her arms, it was your turn to admire her. The fitted suit she chose was one of your favorites, the all-black three-piece suit looked so good on her.
"Thank you, love. You look as exquisite as ever." You gave her a quick peck on the lips, to not ruin your lipstick or transfer it to her.
"Are you nearly ready? We don't want to be late, we are chaperones after all." Though she was a little bit excited for this ball, well, excited to go with you, she still hated the objective of being a chaperone.
"I'm ready, there's nothing else I need but you." She smiled and placed another kiss on your lips.
You wrapped your hands around her arm as you left her quarters towards the event, you could barely contain your excitement. You thought that this was finally your time to show her off, to finally say that you're with the one and only Dean of Evil.
But you had thought wrong.
You could hear the start of the orchestra as you turned down the ballroom corridor when Lesso shrugged you off her. Confusion instantly overtook you.
"What-" Your confusion increased tenfold when her steps increased in pace. "What are you doing?"
Lesso turned back with a look that said it was clearly obvious, "You know we can't be seen that closely." The way she said that so nonchalantly brought you many feelings, and none of them were good.
"But I thought," Tears begin filling your eyes, but you can't cry. You can't ruin your makeup, so you shook your head to shun them away. "I thought tonight was when we could finally come clean and be seen together in public." It came out much more questioning than you intended.
"Please, you know it's strictly forbidden for us to be close in public." She turned back around and continued on.
There's no way that this was that easy for her. That she can say that and not feel even the slightest tinge of guilt.
"Fine." Strictly forbidden, what foolishness. She acts as if she's not the one to create these rules.
Your heart felt heavy and your bottom lip quivered slightly, knowing you'd have to enter the ballroom alone. You didn't even want to be there anymore, not after that. You contemplated turning back to your quarters for a solid minute.
But you had already put so much time into your look, plus you were expected to be a chaperone.
So, after watching your love walk away from you, she didn't even wait for you to be a little bit behind her. You continued on with your soul weighing on you like stone.
You just couldn't understand it, the way her demeanor entirely flipped threw you off. You wrapped your arms around you to ease the coldness you suddenly felt.
As you entered the elegantly decorated ballroom, themed perfectly for the celebration of the summer solstice, the doing of Dovey no doubt, you couldn't help but look around.
Each of the decorations were catching your eye, especially the colorful flowers she has expertly spaced around the room. But something dark caught your eye, like it did every time.
Lesso was standing off in the corner, her soft features nowhere to be found, with a drink in hand. You desperately wanted to walk over to her and have her wrap her arms around you or pull you on the dance floor, but you couldn't.
Lesso had finally spotted you, sending you a smile that only you would ever be able to detect. Lesso became confused herself when you didn't even attempt to return the smile, your smile was one of her favorite things.
You looked away from her and continued on, your arms falling to your side as you made your way to Professor Dovey and Professor Anemone. If she was going to barricade herself in her Never space, then you're left to be in your Ever space.
Right away, Anemone could tell something was off with you. She was your greatest friend, so of course she could clearly tell that there was something wrong when your excitement was nowhere to be found, especially when you've been excited for this ball for weeks.
"Dear, what's the matter?" She placed her hand on your elbow as she guided you away from Dovey.
"Nothing," You attempted to pass off the lie while trying so hard to not glance in Lesso's direction. "Everything is alright."
"Okay, well, I know that's not true so let's try that one more time." Yeah, she knew you well.
Everything about you deflated, your smile and posture but especially your tone, "I don't really wanna talk about it, okay? So, can we drop it and focus on the kids?" Whatever was bothering you was bad enough that you didn't open up about it, so she knew it wasn't good.
"Would you like to dance? I know I'm not your 'secret girlfriend' but maybe it'll cheer you up?" It was a lie, she knew who your secret girlfriend was.
She wasn't thick, after all, and once that sentence escaped her she realized what was going on. Anemone saw how you hadn't even looked at Lesso yet so she knew that must be at least a part of the reason.
A small smile came to your face, "Sure, why not." You said as you grabbed onto her now extended hand.
The timing couldn't have been more right as a new song had just begun when you both made it to the center of the ballroom.
All the students cleared some space as they saw you two coming. You ignored the feeling of all the eyes on you as you began dancing with her, and you could tell that there wasn't one person not watching.
You focused on each of the movements and the sound of each instrument as you both gracefully moved across the room. Both of your semi-puffy dresses move elegantly with you. The breeze increased as you both twirled and spun around the ballroom floor.
As the song came to an end, another one was soon to play, and you slowed to a small shuffle. You rested your face on her shoulder, facing away from her but in a way to speak so only she could hear, "Thank you for this, Emma."
Just as you finished your sentence and before Emma even had a chance to respond, an exasperated-looking Lesso came storming towards you both.
She didn't slow but she grabbed your arm and pulled you from Anemone in a swift move, causing you to move with her.
Lesso kept moving, walking you towards the terrace, "What are you doing?!" You tried pulling your arm from her, but you didn't try hard enough.
"I don't appreciate you being all over Emma, acting like some common whore."
You instantly stopped moving once you heard her words and crossed onto the outside terrace, a scoff escaped you, one of disbelief and disrespect, and you ripped your arm back, "I beg your pardon?!"
"There's no need for you to be all over that woman when you're simply dancing with her." She crossed her arms.
She really doesn't get it, does she?
"Emma is my friend! And we were only dancing! Where'd you get the audacity-" Your sadness began to shift to anger.
She cut you off, "Oh, please! You-"
You cut her off this time, not willing to feed her delusion, "If the image of me dancing with another is so unbearable, then you gain the courage to do so instead!"
"You know we can't do that!"
"No, we can! You just don't want to! Your reputation is far more important to you than I!"
Lesso couldn't believe a statement like that came from you, sure that kind of thing would've been expected by anyone else once they heard she was in a relationship, but not you, "That is not true."
"Really? Because, I have yet to see anything that suggests otherwise," Your tears returned. "You- you. You play into my desire of finally being able to be seen with you, only for you to tear it apart and quite literally throw me aside. Just so you can keep your spotless Never appearance." The tears finally escaped, falling effortlessly down your face and effectively ruining your makeup.
"That's, not what I meant to do," Lesso hasn't realized how much she had fucked up until this moment.
A humorless scoff came from you once more, "That's all you have to say for yourself? Not even an apology? Wow." You started turning back into the ballroom.
She stopped you with a hand on your arm, "No, darling, wait!"
You stopped, but not in the way she hoped, "No! You simply can't fix this with an 'I'm sorry', okay? Figure this out on your own." You pulled your arm back again and continued onto the ballroom.
You entered again but had no intentions of staying.
Everyone kind of paused when they saw you re-enter with tears streaming down your face, a stunned Lesso standing in her spot on the Terrace. Of course, they had all witnessed her pulling you away and watched on curiously, but they hadn't expected you to return in tears. Especially Anemone and Dovey, the two being the most stunned as their eyes followed you out of the ballroom and then redirected to Lesso.
Lesso was used to having all eyes on her, but not like this. As she walked back to the corner she was previously perched in, everyone eyed her down. It only lasted a second before she made it clear that she was still the Dean of Evil, and everyone realized that now may not be a good time to piss her off.
Dovey gave her a pointed look, one that clearly says there will be a discussion about what occurred, but Lesso couldn't bring herself to care. Not when she was too preoccupied with wondering how and what you were doing.
The answer? Not good and currently staring at the wall with dried tears on your face.
You knew you shouldn't be reacting in such a way, but you also couldn't help it. The way Leo just threw you off her and walked away without as much as looking at you, how she called you a whore for dancing with your friend. The worst part was this was entirely avoidable.
You didn't want to dance with Emma, you wanted to dance with her. You didn't want to be in the middle of the room with all eyes on you, you wanted to be in the privacy of her quarters while laying in her arms.
Eventually, after who knows how long, you got tired of sulking. You brought yourself to get changed into your pajamas and wash your face from your mess of what was once makeup. You just wanted this day to be over with.
Time crept on for the both of you, you thought sleep may help and attempted it, but failed. And Lesso tried slipping out the side of the ballroom but got caught by various people.
For every toss and turn you made in your bed, was one meter closer Lesso got to the door. She was getting close to hexing the entire ballroom before she just started shoving people out of her way with her cane to leave.
Lesso had no idea how it got so out of hand. Of course, she didn't realize just how much she was hurting you by keeping the both of you a secret, though it wasn't much of a secret. Not after tonight at least.
She continued on to your quarters, she knew you'd be nowhere else. The only annoying part about that is your quarters are on the opposite end of the school than hers is, so she had a whole journey to herself. One that allowed to realize just what she's done.
By this time, you had already shoved your face into the pillow from frustration. It was undoubtedly due to many things but you liked to blame it only on your difficulty sleeping.
Just as you sat up to get a glass of water, there was a knock at your door. You didn't have to open it to know who was standing on the other side, the pattern of the sound telling you exactly who it was.
A part of you was thrilled that she came back, back to you. But the other part wanted her to stay away.
"Go away." You spoke out, not making any attempts to move in any way.
"Starlight, it's me." You nearly burst into tears at the nickname.
She thought it fit you perfectly, not only because of your love for the stars and all things space, but because your Leo always said, 'Your eyes sparkle more than the stars, my little Starlight.'
"I know it is." Your heart kept screaming at you to at least see her.
"I came to apologize. I understand you're upset with me, and you don't have to forgive me, but can I at least look at you when I do?" For the first time tonight, you heard genuine emotion from her.
You couldn't hold back anymore, your heart won out. What an Ever thing to do.
You stayed silent as you walked to your door and opened it. The once put-together Dean was now standing in front of you, hair disheveled and emotions coating her face.
Lesso was taken aback by your appearance, not that it was bad, just not what she was expecting. She thought you'd still be all dressed up, not ready for bed with a tear-stained face. She messed up big time.
"Well?" Your voice snapped her back into the situation.
"Star, I'm sorry. I really am," She snuck past you and into your quarters, and if you had any energy, you would've attempted to stop her. "You were right about me wanting to maintain my reputation, but you were wrong that it's more important than you." You silently shut your door and turned to meet her in the middle of your room.
And for a moment, neither of you spoke. Just the looks being shared. You just looked at her, feeling many things.
She placed her hand on your cheek as your lip quivered, "My beautiful Starlight," Her thumb started brushing against your cheek. "I am sorry."
Your heart screamed for you to forgive her, but your mind told you to say what you want to say. And you decided on that.
"I guess you don't get it then?" She gave you a questioning look. "The way you just toss me aside made me feel utterly useless. And then, you call me a whore and you expect me to just pass over that? I get you're sorry, and you should be, but I'm not going to forgive you just because you say that."
Oh.
You can tell by the look on her face, she finally gets it.
"My darling girl, words can't even begin to explain how sorry I am. I fucked up, I know. I want to take it back but I can't. But what I can do is, from now on no more hiding. No more sneaking or lies. I'm done with that."
Your eyes filled with hope, "You promise?"
"I promise you, darling. From this moment on, no more hiding. Just us against the world, together." She pushed some of your hair back behind your ear.
A small smile came to your face, "Thank you, and I'm sorry I reacted so strongly. I was just really looking forward to tonight."
"You have nothing to apologize for, Star. You were simply reacting. What were you looking forward to, darling? Chaperoning?" Lesso knew you liked your job, but she didn't think you liked it that much.
"No, I, I just wanted to dance with you." The way that sentence escaped your lips, so soft and broken, made Lesso's heart lurch, she couldn't believe it.
She made her beautiful and fragile flower wilt, and she knew it was all because of her.
She reached her hand out towards you, and you looked at it curiously before looking back at her, "What-"
She didn't let you finish, "Let's dance, Starlight."
"But I'm not-"
"Right here, right now, just us. No need for fancy clothes or anyone watching."
The sweet, soft, and warm smile that Lesso has come to know and love, finally came to your face. The very one she's been wanting to see all night.
You finally accepted her hand, and when you did she stepped closer to you and placed her other hand on your waist.
You followed each step she made, soft grins spread across both of your faces as you easily moved around your quarters.
"There's no music," You pointed out.
"That is true. But who said you must have music to dance?" She rhetorically asked as she pulled your arm above your head and began to spin you.
The silence that filled the space was a comfortable one. Once you came back around again, you looked between her eyes. It was plain as day, the admiration she had for you. Whether you saw it or not was entirely different.
"Thank you for this, Leo." You moved to rest your head on her shoulder, your steps never ceasing, with your face nuzzled into her neck.
"Anything for my Starlight."
This. This is all you wanted.

... there's a first time for everything, right?
all i want is for them to spiderman kiss, but with gwen upside down 🌻 image ID below, detailed ID in alt :)
Begin Image ID, done by artist. A digital drawing of Miles and Gwen from Across The Spiderverse. They are both drawn from the waist up and in side profile, wearing their spider suits, but without the masks. Miles is on the left, standing with his hands in his pockets. He has warm brown skin, and a dark brown afro with flat sides. His suit is black, with a red spider on the front in graffiti style. He is making eye contact with Gwen, who is hanging from the top of the drawing on the right side. Gwen has light skin and blonde hair, which is tied in a small ponytail that hangs down; she also has an undercut. Her suit is black and white, with a white hood that hangs down and hugs the back of her head. Her arms are pulled forward in front of her, as if holding onto web to hang from. The sleeves of her suit and inside of her hood are bright pink, with blue web designs. Gwen looks at Miles with a flirtatious smirk and raised eyebrow, and Miles smiles back at her softly in return. They are both blushing slightly. The background is bright yellow and blue, with different-styled sunflowers drawn behind each of them. End ID.

I saw a recent reblog you did where you listed some fic recs and then tagged with your fic preferences, which are pretty much my own, favoring canon compliance fics where they're angel/demon (though I have read some 'temporarily human' AUs I've liked). Do you have a collected rec list? Or any more recs you might toss out? Thanks so much!
Oh gosh yes.
I’m going to assume you have already explored the other fics bu the authors in the first rec post I made- everything by @redfacesmiley, @books-and-omens , @racketghost , and Drawlight/ripeteeth is a stunner. Also dig through equestrianstatue and @darcylindbergh for real gems.
When I’m reading I find a fic I like, dig through all the author’s other fics, then look at the author’s bookmarks because I figure if they wrote something I like that much, they saved things I’ll like too.
Fell free to dig through my AO3 bookmarks- they are completely unorganized and I bookmark things I want to read later or think I might want to read again, basicly anything I might want to find again- so I haven’t even read all of them. BUT! Here are some more of THOSE FICS for me:
It's Funny Because Nobody Ever Says “Burkina Faso” by indieninja92
TIME LOOP TIME LOOP TIME LOOP!!!!
So funny omg. Azi is just DONE and I am here for it. It’s a locked fic to AO3 accounts so I’m not sure if the link will work-
What I shed for You by @darcylindbergh
This fic- this freakin fic!! I did not think I would ever go for a fic that was NOT azicrow but oh my god this one is so good.
But You My Dear Are An Ocean by megzseatle
After nursing his broken heart, Crowley moves on. He gets a cottage and relocates to South Downs to start over, and finds himself beloved in a small town where the people take him under their (proverbial) wing. His new friends are in no mood for charity when his ex shows back up- while Crowley might be able to forgive Az, the townspeople have a harder time with the bastard that broke dear Anthony’s heart.
If I’ve had a bad day and need to cheer up, I read this book! Omens sweet story.
…And if I’m in an emotionally stable place I will read this angsty heartbreaker. So beautiful, just so good.
Idiot/ Guts (and a load of Warbirgon’s Farmhouse White) / Ellipsis by @theyellowestmustard
A little slice of perfect right here.
I also love outsider POV criptids of soho stories- here are two good ones, one set in a coffee shop and one in a bakery.

I Love You
Your heart shatters as you walk in the heavy downpour, the rain mixing with the tears streaming down your face as block out everything around you. The sound of rain thrashing against the concrete, the engines of cars, and the laughter of people in surrounding buildings all fade into the background, the noises fuzzy while your mind reels.
Completely losing yourself to the torment of your own thoughts, you miss how your name is desperately called out and how Wanda's steps quickly approach when she runs after you, only noticing when her arm reaches out to stop you.
"Y/n," she whispers, voice raw with emotion and eyes brimming with tears. You still due to her hold on you and turn slowly to look at her, taking in her features through watery eyes while letting her hands move to cup your face. "Detka," she murmurs, her own heart shattering at the sight of you so destroyed at what happened.
You don't say anything, another tear spilling from your eyes as you look into her pained ones.
"It's not what you think," she says, pushing back some of the wet hair that's fallen in front of her face.
"He kissed you," you mutter, the whole interaction replays in your mind while you try to focus on what else happened besides the kiss as it was distorting the way you remembered the interaction. All you could remember though was his hands cupping her cheeks, his lips pressed against hers, causing your heart to break a little more and insecurities to build inside you.
"Exactly, he kissed me," she emphasises, your mind now remembering how her arms moved to his chest to push him off, not returning the kiss at all, "I didn't want to kiss him."
You remain quiet, letting the rain continue its onslaught on you both while you stand on the pavement. You think about Melina's words, trying your absolute best to consider Wanda's side of it, trying to look at it from her perspective and not be rash but all that happens is you remember her hesitance.
"You hesitated." Her brows furrow at your words, the confusion and insecurity that's surfaced in your eyes replacing the hurt. "Why did you hesitate?" When she struggles to respond, you let out a sigh, lowering your head and avoiding her gaze. "You considered it, didn't you?" the tone of your voice almost pleads her to prove you wrong, prove that she didn't consider getting back with him.
"No," she says, her voice laced with honesty and desperation to show you that she didn't. "I hesitated because... all I could think about was the man I fell in love with all those years ago." Slowly, you raised your gaze to meet her own, astonished by the amount of emotion swirling in her eyes. "All I could think about was how much he changed, how much I hated him now."
Her hands are still cupping your cheeks, her thumbs wiping the rain and tears off your cheeks as you both stay locked in the moment. You simply both gaze into each other's eyes, losing yourself in her eyes like you always do before breaking the intimate stare.
"He still loves you," You say more out loud to yourself then her, his words causing doubt to stir inside you. He could provide for her better. He's the more stable option. He's the twins' father-
"I don't love him," she murmurs, stepping closer to you and letting her fingers softly brush your soaking hair out of your face. "I don't want him," she whispers, her eyes staring into your own with nothing but love and tenderness. "I want you Y/n. I love you."
Your heart splits into two at her words, part of you revelling with joy because she loves you, but the other half breaks once more as insecurities and doubts gnaw painfully at you. Your mothers words ring around inside your head, Vision's subtle little smirk after kissing Wanda, the pain and grief of the last time you heard those words joining the vile words of your mother.
Noticing the conflict on your face, seeing that disheartened and insecure look in your eyes, Wanda brings you out of the spiral of thoughts, sensing the things your mother had said were making you feel like you were unworthy of her love.
How could someone ever love you?
It won't last, you know?
Do you really think anyone will love you after what you did?
"It's true," she murmurs softly, caressing your cheeks and offering a comforting smile, trying to get you to think like yourself. The thoughts fade away at her soft tone, that gentle tone that causes warmth to take over your chest and calm you down.
"I love you, Y/n. You're all I want. All I could ever want."
The negative and insecure thoughts continue to drift away, your mind now able to comprehend what she's actually saying: she loves you. The revelation makes a small smile break out on your face, her immediately noticing the shift in mood.
"There's my Detka," she murmurs, your hands going to hover at her waist as she leans forwards so she can press her forehead against yours.
"I'm sorry," you sigh out, an apologetic tone lacing your words. "I'm sorry I freaked out-"
"Shh," she gently whispers, hushing your apology, "You don't need to apologise Detka." Her head moves so that her lips can press a featherlight kiss to your forehead, lingering at the wet skin before pulling back and gazing into your eyes.
"I..." You trail off, wanting to say the three words back to her but your throat closing up, the anxiety around the words stopping you. As always, she notices and understands you're not ready, pressing another soft kiss on your cheek before moving to ghost her lips over yours.
"You don't have to say it if you're not ready," she murmurs and her just being so, so perfect, makes you want to say it even though you can't.
"You're everything I want and more," you whisper with a raw tone, trying to convey the love you feel for her in your gaze and words. "You own my heart, Wanda, and because of you, I don't have to make an effort to be happy again. You're my everything."
Wasting no time, her lips crash to yours and the whole world seems to stop. All you can feel is the way her lips meet your own, the way her hands are cupping your cheeks, her body pressing up against yours. It's her, it's all her and that's all you want.
***
Your back hits the door as her body pushes you up against it, the contrast between her warm home and the bitter wind and rain causing a pleasant feeling to flow through you as you heat up a little.
Your whole body soon feels like it's on fire though when her lips press to your own again, her tongue dominantly sliding into your mouth and taking control. Her hands move to your soaked hair, pushing the wet strands back as they fall between your faces while your mouths crash back together.
She steals your breath away, both literally and figuratively as her lips are relentless and that sultry look in her eyes short cuts your brain. The look of pure desire and want causes an unbearable heat to build between your thighs as her body presses further against you, leg slotting between your legs.
A small moan leaves you at the action, your head lolling back while you pant for breath. The older woman takes this as an opportunity to mark your neck once more, letting her teeth scrape down the sensitive skin, which causes a shiver to run down your spine, before littering it in hot, open-mouthed kisses.
"Please," you whimper as your hands helplessly hold onto her waist, the submissive tone of your voice not going unnoticed by her.
"Please what?" she teases with a low tone, pulling away from your neck to admire your dishevelled state. Her eyes scan over your own, watching the way they somehow darken even more before glancing down to your lips, admiring the way your tongue subconsciously wets them. "You have to use your words Detka."
Her lips ghost yours, waiting eagerly for your response but you're rendered speechless by her, too consumed by your arousal to voice what you want.
"Wanda, please," you whisper once more, the desperate look enough to make her take mercy on you. Her hands guide yours to her blouse, helping you unbutton it before shrugging the item off, leaving her in a white lace bra. "Fuck," the word spills from your lips in an enamoured tone, your mind unable to comprehend how someone can be this beautiful.
As your lingering look comes to an end, she pulls away, hooking a finger in the belt loop of your jeans to pull you with her until her back reaches the wall near the stairs. Her hands roam your body while yours do the same to hers, confidence building in you at every little sensual sigh and low moan.
"Fuck Detka," she groans when you suck on the juncture of her neck, her fingers tangled in your locks as you mark her neck. She tugs your head back and manoeuvres so she can walk up the stairs while keeping you close.
It's as if the world would end if you stopped touching each other, the contact necessary to live as the two of you refused to part on the way to her room. You lost track of how many times you pinned each other to a nearby wall, unable to control yourselves as you passionately pour all your emotions into every kiss.
Eventually, you make it to her room, her body swiftly straddling your lap as her hands drift down your body, pulling on the bottom of your shirt.
"Is this ok?" she murmurs, her tone soft and gentle contrasting the hungry and rough kisses.
"Yes," you sigh out, voice laced with neediness as you look up into her enticing eyes. "I need you, please," the way you look at her indicates what you want, the older woman's gaze softening when she sees how much you desire her touch.
"Tell me to stop and I will," she whispers against your lips, pushing you back so you're laid on the mattress with her soft body on top. You move your arms so she can easily pull your shirt over your head, her eyes drifting down your body while she bites her lower lip. "You're beautiful Dekta," she husks out against your lips, pressing her mouth to yours briefly before letting her kisses trail down your jaw and neck. You blush at her words and the way she takes in your body, breath hitching when her kisses travel lower to your collarbone.
Her hands glide up your body, feeling all the soft skin under her fingertips and enjoying the way your muscles twitch under her touch, moving them until they reach around your back to unclasp your bra. Her eyes ask the silent question causing you to nod, her fingers swiftly taking the item off.
"Oh fuck," you moan out, hands shooting out to grasp at her hair when her tongue licks down the valley between your breasts, pressing sensual kisses around your nipple before casting her gaze up, holding the eye contact, and taking your breast into her mouth. A lewd noise is ripped from the back of your throat at the way her tongue swirls around your sensitive skin, her hand moving to your neglected breast and giving it attention.
Your fingers thread properly into her locks, the soft hair heavenly to touch as her mouth works wonders on you, moving to the other breast and letting her fingers pinch and pull your now wet nipple to make you groan beneath her.
When she pulls back, a string of saliva is attached from her mouth to your chest making you curse at how hot she looks peering up at you with that dominant and seductive look. Her thumb moves to her lips to remove it, the action fuelling your arousal as she smirks at the way your breath hitches at her movements, deciding to torment you a little more. Her face returns to yours, lips pressing against yours for a bruising kiss before pulling back and moving to whisper in the shell of your ear,
"Remember what I said to you on our first night," her tone is sultry while her teeth nibble gently on your ear lobe, a small hum escaping you as that's all you can manage in response. "I said I was going to ruin you Detka, and I will," she chuckles at the way you moan at her words, her index finger moving to the base of your neck so she can drag it teasingly down your body. Her nail scrapes softly at your skin, travelling down your desperate body, between your breasts, over your stomach until it reaches the waistband of your jeans, slipping a finger under briefly before taking it out as she gauges your reaction.
"Please," you whimper, eyes pleading her to finally touch you. "Please, I need you so bad, Wanda please," you beg and her lips silence you, a moan being muffled by her mouth.
"Hush Detka," she coos a little condescendingly and you're embarrassed at how much that turns you on, "I've got you, I'll take care of you." Effortlessly, her hands unfasten your jeans and slide them down your legs, you helping completely rid the item and watching as her fingers glide over the expanse of your thighs.
The green in her eyes has completely disappeared, replaced by hunger and desire as she takes in your needy form panting in anticipation while her fingers inch closer and closer to your dripping core.
A moan spills from your lips as your head lolls back when her fingers finally meet your soaked panties, hips pathetically bucking at the small action. She smirks at your reaction, letting her fingers slowly circle your clit through the fabric, gradually building the pleasure inside you. As she persists with her deliberately slow pace, your hips move against her hand, grinding unabashedly as you crave to feel her doing more.
"So needy, so desperate," she mutters against your lips, claiming them while she removes the drenched fabric from your body, your heart beating wildly in your chest. "So wet," she purrs when her fingers slide through your folds, your arousal coating her digits. A sinful noise escapes you at the feeling of her circling your clit, pleasure taking over all your senses, hands moving to clutch desperately at the sheets by your side.
"Wanda," you sigh out when her fingers move lower, a moan leaving her lips at the way you say her name. You're about to say her name again but it's interrupted by a broken moan when she slides a finger inside you and slowly starts to thrust it inside you.
"That's it baby," she praises, knowing how much you liked it last time, "Such a good girl, taking my fingers so well." You moan once again when she adds another finger, pumping both long, slender digits inside you and curling them beautifully inside you. Her leisurely pace soon vanishes when she seems to struggle holding back, teasing herself as well as you at how slow she was fingering you.
"Fuck!" you scream, her mouth claiming yours to muffle the noises she rips from the back of your throat as her fingers speed up, fucking you at a merciless pace. Her thumb moves to circle your clit, adding to the overwhelming pleasure as your hips grind frantically against her hand.
Her free hand moves to interlock with yours, placing it near your head and squeezing it encouragingly as your orgasm approaches quickly, her mouth parting from yours to whisper soft words.
"I've got you Detka, you can let go," you whimper in response, your legs trembling at the amount of pleasure coursing through your body. "Come for me," at her command, you crash head first into your orgasm, a string of moans spilling from your lips while you ride out your powerful release. She presses soft kisses over your face as you come down from your high, tilting your head to catch her lips for a passionate kiss.
"That was..." you sigh out, too blissed out to describe to her the way she sent you all the way to heaven.
"Amazing? Fantastic? The best you've ever had?" she mutters playfully, a chuckle escaping you as she knows it's the first time and therefore the best.
"Don't get too smug," you say, smiling up at her. Her lips tug upwards as she mirrors your content expression while you try and regain your composure.
"Can you do one more?" she asks while letting her teeth bite down on her lower lip, becoming irresistible. Your eyebrows raise at her question, body craving to feel her once again so you nod, letting her take a hold of your hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
Swiftly, she removes her remaining clothes, her true beauty on show as she straddles your lap completely bare. It was as if Aphrodite crafted her body, sculpting it to perfection.
"Do you have any idea what you do to me?" she murmurs against your lips, your hands travelling down her body to where she guides you to. She lets you slide a finger through her folds, groaning into the kiss at feeling wet she is, how wet she is because of you. "You drive me insane," she moans out, your finger delicately circling her clit before her hand stops you, a confused expression taking over your face. "I want to try something," she explains, a smirk tugging at her lips as you watch her get into position.
A guttural moan escapes you when her dripping core meets your own, grinding down gently to cause pleasure to consume your body. Her hands brace themselves above your head, interlocking your fingers as she grinds down against you unabashedly.
"Y/n," she moans out near the shell of your ear, a pitiful noise escaping you at the overwhelming feeling of pleasure. The sensation of her clit brushing yours, the small sighs being released next to your ear and the fact you just orgasmed causes your next one to rapidly build. Your fingers tighten the grip on Wanda's, your hips bucking up in search of more friction to send you over the edge but restricted by the body on top of you.
A desperate noise rips from the back of your throat when she grinds a little harder, her mouth moving to press against yours momentarily before pulling back and gazing into your eyes.
"Wanda," you groan out, hoping by the way your body starts to tense and tremble she gets the hint that you're close.
"Hold it," she sighs out, grinding even harder and faster against you, the relentless pleasure wracking through your body causing you to throw your head back against the mattress.
"Please," the tone of your voice is nothing but submissive, laced with desperation as you plead the woman to let you come.
"Just a little longer," she pants out, nearing her own release as she thrusts her hips down against you, cursing lowly in Sokovian at the way your soaking cunt feels against hers. "Fuck, come with me Detka," she groans against your lips, both of you falling over the edge.
The room fills with quieting moans and sighs as you ride out the aftershocks of your powerful orgasms, your body twitching under hers as your body buzzes with a slight overstimulated feeling.
A few moments later, soft fingers brush along your jawline and at your cheek, coaxing you to open your eyes and look at her. She smiles tenderly down at you, pressing a kiss to your forehead before moving off you, pulling your body closer to cuddle into her side.
"I'm sorry about earlier," you murmur into the tranquil room, your head resting on her shoulder as your fingers trace random patterns on her skin, her hands scratching up and down your back.
"Detka-"
"No, please let me finish," you interrupted with a soft voice, tilting your head to look up at her. "I shouldn't have reacted in that way and assumed things without letting you say your side of it." You gauge her reaction to your words, her features softening, "I'm sorry."
"Thank you for apologising," she murmurs back, understanding that you felt like you had to apologise to her even though, in her opinion, you didn't need to. It was an appropriate reaction to seeing someone else kiss the person you care about but she could sense a certain guilt inside you, making her drop the subject.
The two of you remain quiet, simply embracing the moment together and relaxing into each other's arms, the comfort of her body slowly lulling you to sleep.
"Not yet Detka," Wanda whispers, waking you up a little bit to which you groan drowsily at, " You need to get cleaned up and go to the bathroom before we can sleep." You want to protest, too sleepy to do anything but the semi-stern look the older woman shoots your way for not wanting to do any sort of aftercare makes you begrudgingly slip out of the bed to listen to her.
Wanda does the same and helps your tired form, cooing loving phrases as the exhaustion from your orgasms catches up on you, scuffing your feet across her room back to the bed. A content smile plays on her lips at the way you steal one of her shirts and slip it on before joining her in bed, snuggling as close as you possibly could to her.
"I love you," she whispers into your hair as you drift off into a peaceful sleep, unable to stop the smile that forces its way onto her face.
She would never have thought that you, the babysitter, would have been the person to make her feel loved again, but here you were, giving her everything she wanted and more.
