LOKI 2.4
I don't see why they can't keep Dox in Holding forever; they had no problem pruning Lokis into the Void for forever. >.>
Dammit, Sylvie, it would have taken OB and Victor five seconds to sign each other's copies of the TVA Guidebook; could you not let them have their brief moment of fanboying joy?
OB's explanation of the Loom is very helpful here; it reminds me of the Doctor on Doctor Who explaining sciencey things to his companions on screen so that the kiddies (and adults, lol) at home could understand what was going on. (Okay, so the TVA as a TARDIS, discuss. Look at all those long corridors its got for running in!) I loved OB's "...the backlog of branches that was created when someone...*looks accusingly at Sylvie* ...killed He Who Remains and released all those branches and ruined my life." (Aw, come on, OB, you're out of the basement now! You're making friends and meeting admirers of your work!)
Loki claiming that the little figure in the model was clearly not him so why did he have to be the one to 'hoof it' and lob the throughput multiplier into the Loom? Well, Loki, you have very long legs and can run fast, also tradition has been established that your character is the one who gets sent to do the hard jobs for others; just be glad you're not being asked to steal Surtur's flame and doom Asgard this time around. (Of course, your decision to abscond with the Tesseract has already caused the TVA to erase the Asgard of your timeline, people and realm both, so...uh, never mind, pretend I never said anything.)
MOBIUS AND HIS PIE AGAIN. I SWEAR TO GOD THAT THE TVA LACES THE PIE WITH DRUGS TO KEEP ITS WORKERS DOCILE AND HAPPY WITH HAVING NO LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK AND POSSIBLY ACTS AS A CONTINUAL DOSAGE OF SOMETHING THAT KEEPS THEM FROM REGAINING THEIR MEMORIES? MOBIUS CAN'T GO TOO LONG WITHOUT ANOTHER SLICE OF PIE BECAUSE HE'S EXPERIENCING THE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS OF AN ADDICT. I was so happy to hear Sylvie call him out on his pie-seeking habits and his refusal to try to find out any information about the timeline he was pulled from. Like sure it might hurt to remember a family whom he'd lost, but I'd rather honour the memories of loved ones by remembering them than being too cowardly to do so.
I have to agree with the point I saw raised in another post of 'WHY do they have to fix the Loom? Surely all the multiple timelines managed to exist just fine on their own before it was created?' Also, hoo boy, did Loki's speech about how you can't free a people and then leave them to look after themselves remind anyone else of Asgard's justification of being the ruler of the Nine Realms? Keeping a military presence on those conquered worlds? AND NO, LOKI, YOU'RE NOT A GOD, YOUR DAD TOLD ME SO IN A BIT OF THE SACRED TIMELINE YOU DIDN'T GET TO EXPERIENCE. Although this time at the TVA is Loki's post-Thanos period when he was claiming the same thing in the Sacred Timeline, wanting to be a 'benevolent god'. So...that actually ties in.
Um -- do we all agree that Miss Minutes looked orgasmic watching everyone (except Brad) be crushed in the cube thingie?
(Was Loki pruning himself related back to the time slipping thing? I still don't really understand what the point of that was.)
OB: But if I reboot Miss Minutes, we'll lose the magic dampeners in the TVA!
Loki and Sylvie: THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF A PROBLEM!
Oh hell yeah, Bradley, prune that bitch! I HOPE YOU END UP IN THE VOID WITH A HUNGRY ALLIGATOR, RAVONNA.
Kudos to Timely for sensibly asking if it's safe before sticking his head inside some alien machinery and not just blindly following instructions.
LIGHT! BEAUTIFUL LIGHT IN THE TVA! I don't care what this means as long as I can properly see what's going on!
Oh. Oh shit. Spaghettification is what's going on, huh. *Salutes Victor Timely* May you get the afterlife you hoped for, sir, you died a noble death. Guys. Guys, stop staring into the blinding radioactive light; I'm sure that's not good for your eyes.
And...what a cliffhanger; it's like FINALLY all the pieces are falling into place and the story is getting to someplace exciting. That was a good episode; I hope it keeps up this pace next week and something good happens if the Loom is going pear-shaped. I gotta try to remember to watch this on Thursday for a change.
@delyth88 -- finally felt inspired to make a long reaction post! (And my stupid computer glitched about 2/3 of the way through and I had to rewatch what I'd already seen to remember what I had been commenting on! I blame the TVA.)

The series is so obviously rewritten from an unrelated script. It really shows it's lack of creativity and awareness in the TVA entire presentation. Like, sure, they get away with pushing Loki around because he's played by Tom Hiddleston but stop think. Could you imagine the TVA pushing around any of the Egyptian gods or Surtur these huge beings being collared and dragged along? There's just so many powerful and big creatures in Marvel and we're expected to believe humans with sticks take them on?
It's unimaginative to the extreme but let's not forget Mikey literally said this: "That's what was exciting to me, as a writer, to take something so magical and just make it utterly soulless." (x)
They wouldn't have done it to those gods because the only way a series like 'Loki' works is if he's the one being thrown around. Put any other character in his shoes and that's abuse and mistreatment, do it to a character you have already established to be deserving of that abuse and people will call it healing.
That's where Ragnarok comes in. They took away his past, his heritage, all the things done to him by his family, etc and they turned him into an arrogant buffoon whose only interest is in seeking power and nothing else. In this situation the movie claims these two are good for him:
He's emotionally manipulated in that elevator scene by an ooc Thor. He defines him, all Loki does is look down, he doesn't get a chance to speak up for himself. The film wants to send the message that this chat is good for him and makes him realize the "truth"
He's attacked painfully but the scene is framed as funny, he deserves it for "betraying" his brother, Loki writhing in pain is meant to incite laughter.
He was established then and there as a selfish, power-hungry, arrogant idiot who needed to be brought down to have his pride taken away and for him to humble down... the series is just more of that x100.
The problem was that his sacrifice in IW had made him a hero (we all know Loki is only a hero when he's dead), so they brought him back but not the recent version, the good one, no, we can't have a good Loki! This guy is always bad! Nah, they used EG as the excuse to claim the Loki in the series is villain Loki again, therefore it's back to those two points stated above: he needs to be emotionally manipulated, he's not a leader but a follower and the plot is moved along by others not him, only other people can define him and whatever physical mistreatment he goes through is healing and helps him realize the "truth".

It will be kind of a personal post, and I contemplated if I should write this, but it bounces in my head for some time now, and maybe it'll be relatable to some people. I value fiction in my life a lot, as probably any person who went through some shit in their childhood and found a shelter in stories. I also learned to overcome difficult things through looking at characters with a similar experience. That's why the rejection of so called problematic hits me so hard.
Armand's relationship with Marius is a goldmine of therapeutic stuff for people like me. I do empathize with Armand in general, but Marius as a figure who's done him plenty of harm however still was loved by Anne and is loved by Armand is what I dig in often.
Maker/fledgling dynamic mixes a lot together as it is (the show is actually very good at exploring this), but with these two it's done to the extremes. I don't see it as a bad thing personally, because I'm in the category of people who were emotionally abandoned by their parents and have issues with not seeking the parental type of love from their partners. Hence plenty of consequences that it entails. You look for someone older who very possibly will abuse your trust. You struggle with responsibilities in a relationship. You don't have boundaries. What Anne did by sticking roles of a parent and a partner to one person can be quite helpful to understand the pattern. There's a lot of bitterness on top of it all that I do recognize: the addiction and the doubt on Armand's part, particularly when they talk religion. You depend on what they give you, you let them scramble your brain on the regular.
Why I think Marius still being lovable to the characters is meaningful? The most realistic thing about this is that people continue to have feelings for their shitty parents and crave the warmth they didn't receive.
"Master, I love you, but now I must be alone," I said. "You don't need me now, do you, Sir? How can you? You never really did."
Usually the family, if they aren't complete assholes, will still have people that respect them, too. I appreciate that Anne wrote Marius ignorant and not purely evil, because it's the most common thing to be harmed by ignorance. I've said it before and I'll repeat it many times later, I'm sure.
I love the church dialog in the beginning of TVA (the quote above), because Armand there is contemplative and tries to distance himself from Marius, despite being emotionally wrecked. Comparing to how mindlessly needy he was in Venice it's a progress. He grew, he knows how to say no, even if I would like it to be firmer.
The answer to why they are talking at all is quite obvious to me, too. Fandom wrote a lot about how being eternal might affect the desire to mend things even with those who caused you grief. But again, people choose to do it with parents all the time.
And (!) by QotD Armand chooses his partners quite differently: from Lestat - a Marius's carbon copy, to Daniel with a completely different dynamic. The fact it can be seen as a reversed thing is a separate conversation, though.
I totally believe these plotlines go beyond bedroom scenes and fetishizing and magnetize the faulty nature of such a thing. As an afterthought, another similar line Anne did is Lestat having a thing for Gabrielle. And I know we like to laugh about it, but it's not a leap of imagination to compare this to infantile boys who cling to their mothers and expect their girlfriends to give them the same treatment. The fact he is forced to let Gabrielle go is a perfect conclusion to this, if you ask me.

✍ WIP Wednesday Thursday✍
Thanks for the tag @kyber-infinitygems!
Doing something a little bit different this time and sharing an excerpt from an MCU fic I’m writing centered around the Loki show called Teenage Wasteland (My Ordinary Life).
For context, Fenrir is the son of Loki and my OC, and he’s been with the TVA for a long time. This scene is one of my favorites that I’ve ever written!
The glowing orange tip of the stick connected with Mobius’ chest, and in a burst of rainbow light, all too similar to the one that had taken Valkyrie from Fenrir all those years ago, he was gone. Fenrir’s breath hitched, and his chest felt like it was constricting in on itself as he stared at the spot where Mobius had just been, another piece of his heart shattering like a brick smashing through a window, leaving a gaping, jagged hole behind.
He whirled over to Ravonna, a dangerous glint in his tear-glassed eyes as he stared her down. She had looked away when Mobius had been pruned, but now that it was done, and feeling Fenrir’s furious gaze on her, she looked back at him, and he saw something he wasn’t expecting when she did, but something she should have been feeling all the same. Fear. It flashed through her eyes quickly, gone in a second like the flicker of a candle light, but it had been there, and he had seen it.
“Fenrir,” she said slowly, watching him closely, her tone dripping with caution. “Let’s talk about this. You don’t have to end up like him, if you just listen to me. You’re not responsible for his mistakes.”
“Mistakes?” Fenrir exclaimed, his voice tipping on the edge of hysteria. Beside him, Loki stood silently, looking tearful and shocked himself, but making no move to resist the Minutemen who moved to restrain him. “You’re the one who’s making all the mistakes here! You just pruned Mobius! You pruned him!”
“It had to be done,” Ravonna dismissed, although there was a hint of regret in her voice that Fenrir completely ignored, too upset to care how she felt when she was the one responsible.
“No, it didn’t,” Fenrir argued, slowly stepping towards her, like a predator approaching prey. “You just didn’t want all your dirty secrets to get out! You didn’t want everyone to know what the TVA’s really been up to, or why C-20 is really gone!”
“Fenrir,” Ravonna said again, her voice strained, shaking her head slightly. “Don’t make me do this.”
“Do what?” Fenrir asked, now standing so close to her that he could see every bead of sweat glittering on her forehead. “Kill me, before it all gets out? You can’t stop me.” He leaned in closer, his voice dropping low and taking on a threatening edge, like a blade poised to strike. She looked up at him, tilting her chin as she tried to remain composed, her expression unreadable. “It’s all going to come out, sooner or later. And I think you know that.”
And then he felt it. A bright, burning sensation, starting in his chest and spreading outward from there, like a brilliant, damning starburst. He let out a gasp, looking down to see that rainbow light again, except, this time, he was the one being dissolved. He could hear Loki, frantically screaming something at him, but all his attention was on Ravonna, who was watching him with sad, haunted eyes, and he realized that she was the one holding the pruning stick to his chest.
“Why?” he choked, as the light continued to eat away at his body. It was a question so layered, there was no one answer, and there was no time for any of them, as he was being so rapidly erased from existence.
Ravonna simply shook her head, reaching out to cup his cheek in her hand, and Fenrir saw the tears glistening in her eyes as she looked at him. “I’m sorry, Fenrir.” She leaned forward to touch her forehead to his. He was almost gone now, but he had to hear her say it. “I’m so sorry.”
And then he was gone, claimed by the rainbow light he had been running from for so long. But it wasn’t over for him. Not yet.
No pressure tags: @selfproclaimedunicorn, @emilykaldwen, and whoever else would like to join!

From what we’ve seen of them together she’s always so cold towards him. I feel so bad because Chris has always been affectionate and that’s what he was looking in a partner too but she’s just so cold. It’s such a sad situation. \\ Okay but I thought from what we've seen like those Disney pics and the pap walk Chris is the one who can't stand being around her lmao (obv that's why he married her). I'm gonna need everyone to pick a narrative and stick with it. I cant keep track of these plot lines
Someone call the TVA, we’ve got multiple realities here! 🦎

Alright so if Dan's oddly vague "probably next Summer" is indeed true (look he knows the answer, is the mouse holding him at gunpoint for a mere basic timeline confirmation???), it obviously does beg the question of how this is going to be addressed in-show.
Like, he also said it's basically the same show, so that means Doof is back to evil, and Candace is still busting. The latter has some room to it (especially if it's a literal compulsion she has), but the former would probably need some explaining.
Like, viewers will need a catch up on why he's evil despite the series finale being "ok I'm not evil now". Probably means they will have to address the spin-off pilots(?) and... yes, Milo Murphy's Law. Anyone who knows me knows my feelings on the trajectory MML went on, but I think they could just vaguely explain his time between Summers as "I went and did some shit, it didn't work out, so now I'm stuck back here". I do think it will be interesting to get into the character motivations behind it all though, like is it just a case of being directionless and nothing working out (ha ha accidental meta commentary), or is there more to it?
As said with Candace, I do think it's easier to have her back to busting. Candace Against the Universe was the closest we got to closure for her, but well apparently it takes place before Last Day of Summer so it obviously didn't stick. OCD is a bitch. There's obviously the post-Summer episodes showing her still, which are a weird enigma in themselves (two episodes that take place on Halloween night lol), and if you ignore my weird broken timeline theories, it does even show in Happy New Year she "relapses". So point being, I think it can work. Same with Doof even if that's harder to justify. What if she also falls back into busting cuz she struggles to know what to do and that causes a mega relapse cuz old habits die hard (again, kind of meta too lol)?
Hmm, what else is there to cover... I guess they'd need to address Vanessa's OWCA internship, if that ever went anywhere. There could be potential subtle changes too because it's a year ahead of the original run, how those would look I have no idea.
I do wonder if the opening of the next episode is going to be one big "we're back" song (it feels very in-character for the show to do), but I also wonder if they could use it as a way to explain what happened between Summers, any necessary changes. On that note... what if they get more specific and deliberately mirror the Curtain Call song? The fourth wall hasn't been set yet, and they just explain what's been happening. Also, it would be cool if the episode started with Phineas opening the door and waving HELLO this time.
So yeah, many possibilities. All I ask is that there's none of those stinking probability ions in the revival. I'm trying to keep the MML salt to a minimum, but I do think despite personal biases for ease of non-MML viewers MML refs should be throwaway and simple. Obviously that's a bit harder when they make some big changes to PnF lore in that show, but if it's not important, most that's necessary is a nod to what happened without dwelling on it. But please... no probability ions. I'm begging you.
To be positive again, I do think a "next Summer" allows for more creative freedom, so if they wanted to drag in MML and (probably more likely for show synergy) Hamster and Gretel guest stars, they could. Would be harder to do if it was the same Summer.
I guess another thing worth wondering is... how will the show be broadcast? Disney TVA stuff airs on Disney Channel/XD usually, but The Proud Family is proof this isn't set in stone. I mention this because PnF is HUGE on Disney+. I won't be surprised if it airs on Disney Channel, but the Disney+ userbase makes me wonder if that will be the primary broadcast method for the show now. Could also be synchronised. Hard to know for sure, but I know marketing has to take the Disney+ viewerbase into account.
Okay I think that's everything about the whole "how will the show be back" topic, so yeah. Guess we'll see sometime next year how it looks. Also, I promise I'm going to try as hard as possible to be quiet about probability ions. I swear. :'(

Dear Loki - Chapter 2/7
Summary:
Loki, bored while waiting for Mobius in his office, starts to explore the drawers of his lover’s desk and finds a bunch of letters addressed to him...
On AO3 Rating G
Tumblr media
Dear Loki,
I guess I should have known better, you're a trickster first and foremost, so it was sure you would want to fool us. To fool me. Even if I had the slightest hope that... but no, I realized that it was still too early for you to know that you could trust me.
I wouldn't say it didn't hurt, but I understand.
Ravonna and the others didn't catch on and only saw you responding to your nature. But I know it was a way for you to regain control.
I am untying my tie now and I must say that you almost had me at the elevator.
Loki smiled at the memory of that moment.
"I mean, it is adorable that you think you could possibly manipulate me. I’m ten steps ahead of you. I’ve been playing a game of my own all along."
"What, charm your way in front of the Time-Keepers, hustle them, and seize control of the TVA? Am I getting warm? A double cross by history’s most reliable liar."
How irritated he had been to see that once again Mobius had read him like an open book. But what had probably pissed him off the most was to see that it didn't seem to affect Mobius.
And above all what had destabilized him for a long time was that whatever he had done, the man had never stopped showing him respect, had never turned his back on him.
Damn it! Mobius had gone so far as to plead his case with Ravonna.
"Okay. Why are you in there sticking your neck out for me?"
"I’ll give you two options, and you can believe whichever one you want."
"A, because I see a scared little boy, shivering in the cold.
And you kinda feel bad for that ice runt."
"Or B, I just wanna catch this guy, and I’ll tell you whatever I need to tell you."
Loki resumed his reading of the letter.
You asked me why I was sticking my neck out for you?
Well, I did answer you, but a little dishonestly I must admit. Because A and B were just part of a big answer that I wasn't ready to tell you yet.
I want to save you because I know you are able to make good and great things. But you are not ready to hear it yet. And your attempt to fool me is proof of that.
And your answer confirmed it to me.
Loki remembered that he had been stung by being called a scared little boy but also by being exposed in this way. He didn't want pity or compassion. And he had told Mobius so.
"I don’t need your sympathy."
"Good, ’cause I’m runnin’ out of it."
How angry he had been to find himself doing the work of lowly people. But perhaps it had been the first time in a long time that he didn't have to flail around, so he'd grown into it.
Loki remembered with a kind of happiness those moments when he had begun to believe that things could be different.
He laughed as he read the next part of Mobius' letter.
I can't believe that in just a few moments you were able to turn everything upside down so much. Okay, okay let's be honest I believe it because it's you. But this time it's not you against the world, it's you and me for the right cause. At least I think so.
I have a weird feeling about this.
But then again I avoid showing it since as you said yourself, I make even the end of the world sound boring.
I guess someone like me must be perfectly boring indeed.
Loki remembered with sharpness these words pronounced in Pompei.
"Oh, Mobius! You make even the end of the world sound boring."
In his enthusiasm, he had probably been hurtful. But he hoped that in time Mobius would know that Loki found him anything but annoying. In fact, Mobius was probably the person who surprised him most in the universe.
Loki also knew that assuming that people knew certain things made you forget to tell them. Maybe he should reaffirm to Mobius in a clear way that he did not find him boring. Not at all.
I am taking this letter back as you are asleep in front of me on a pile of files. You look so peaceful that I don't want to wake you up. If it were up to me I wouldn't wake you up. But unfortunately time is short.
Loki also remembered this vividly, after all that he had been through, he had tasted a few minutes of rest. He had fallen asleep with the awareness of Mobius' presence, but without feeling threatened by it for a single second. In fact there was something about this man that made Loki instinctively trust him. He had told him that he knew almost everything about his life after all, and yet he still treated him with respect. Perhaps it was this that made Loki prompt to trust him.
That's great, I never thought you would be interested in my passion. I feel like I got carried away with telling you about jet skiing. Then you pointed out how much fun it would be to actually do it. But unfortunately I know the reality of my life and that it can only be a dream.
Even though they had since fulfilled Mobius' dream, Loki had not forgotten Mobius' expression at the mention of jet skiing for real. There had been a melancholy written all over his being and Loki wondered how much Mobius had deprived himself of for the sake of his mission within the TVA.
He made a promise to himself to do his best to discover and realize all the dreams of his beloved.
Now that I'm resuming writing this letter you're gone. You preferred to follow this variant rather than wait for me.
But I thought that maybe...
I thought I had read something just before in the archives when you found the place where the variant was...
Loki remembered exactly which moment he was mentioning.
"You’re gonna take my job if I’m not careful."
Mobius had looked at him with such validation in his eyes. The kind of approval he had always craved. The kind he would have liked to read in the eyes of Odin, his mother, his brother, without the glimmer of disappointment that often followed.
Loki remembered very clearly the pride he had felt at that moment.
Then there had been Roxxcart.
Loki had been touched by the way Mobius did not want to be separated from him. He had been lucid enough to recognize in the midst of the indignation and anger, the desire to protect him.
But Loki had shattered everything soon after, or so he thought when it happened.
Probably one of the most difficult decisions Loki had to make.
As he had walked through the time door, he had been unable to stop himself from looking back at Mobius who was running and calling his name, but Loki had to know. He couldn't help it. And he had walked through.
You left.
You turned around and left.
Did you even feel regret when you saw me running towards you?
Was everything I felt in the last few hours just smoke and mirrors?
Did you respect and trust me?
I am
How could you
You
Why
No, I can't believe that it was all fake, that it was all tricks from the god of mischief.
I'll keep believing, until I find you and you tell me the truth.
I will wait.
I will find you and I will know.
Still with hope.
Mobius.
Loki folded the letter and placed it carefully back in the drawer.
Even so, Mobius had given him the benefit of the doubt.
There was something humbling about being the object of such devotion.
He couldn't wait for Mobius to come back to show him all the love his heart was filled with after reading this letter.
He looked at the time that had passed.
Thirty minutes at most.
He grabbed the next letter.

Runa ran through the Time door and was back at the TVA.
"What in the world?" She muttered looking around. Runa spotted B-15s locker open the daggers missing. "Shit." She turned on her Time stick before taking off down the hallway.
"Oh my gods." Runa looked at the unconscious Minutemen on the ground. "Please say this wasn't my Loki." She then took down the hallway catching Loki and a woman fighting. "Loki!" She yelled. The two of them turned their heads to her.  The woman then brought Loki to the ground and held a sword to his neck.
"The Variant is a girl?" She whispered
"Come any closer and I'll kill him." The Variant threatened.
"Runa!" Loki breathed.
"Don't you dare talk to mes." Runa spat. "You betrayed me!"
"No! That didn't happen! I..."
"Look it. The little TVA agent is angry at her boyfriend." She taunted.
"He is not my boyfriend. He isn't even my friend... I can't believe I had the audacity to trust a Loki." Runa held her head high, blinking back tears. "So go for it. Slice his throat."
"Runa!" Loki tried to get out of the woman's grasp.
"Save your breath Variant." Runa huffed and stormed after the two Lokis. Loki grabbed the Variants Tempad pressed a button to open a Time door, making the three of them go through it. Runa landed right on top of Loki making her huff in anger. She got up and went after the Tempad, the Variant knocking her to the ground. Loki grabbed the Variant by the leg and pulled her away from it.
"Get off my leg!" The Variant yelled. Loki reached to grab the Tempad before Runa snatched it from him.
"Ha!" Runa laughed. The Variant then pulled her Runas hair and threw her to the ground and stole the Tempad from her. "You want to go sister let's go."
"Goodbye Variant, Agent." She spat tapping on the Tempad.
" You're outta juice" Miss Minutes said on the Tempad.
"It's not working." The Variant panicked.
"Do you not listen? It's dead!" Runa rolled her eyes. "Gods, you Lokis are idiots!"
"Don't you dare call me that." The Variant drew her sword and started to approach Runa. Loki then used his magic to sneak up on the Variant and throw her to the ground.
"Don't you dare get near her." He warned.
"Awe once again defending your little girlfriend." The Variant sneered.
"We aren't together!" Loki and Runa yelled.
"I would never date a Loki." Runa spat.
"I would never court a mere TVA Agent." Loki huffed as he grabbed the Tempad off the ground.
"Give it to me! You don't know how to recharge it!" The Variant ordered.
"Of course I do. You're not the only tech savvy Loki." Loki rolled his eyes.
"I told you to don't ever call me that." She told him.
"How about you give me the Tempad?" Runa suggested. "I was pretty much created to use those."
"Tech Savvy?" Loki raised an eyebrow.
"No, a Loki." The Variant corrected.
"Even Lokis don't listen to me anymore." Runa huffed. Both Runa and the Variant went to grab the Tempad from Loki, before Loki used his magic to make it disappear.
"You're just fully a magician then?" The Variant asked.
"Fine. For my next trick, I'll make you disappear." Loki threatened pulling out his dagger.
"I doubt it." The Variant rolled her eyes as she grabbed her sword of the ground.
"Let's calm down a little shall we?" Runa asked.
"No!" The Variant yelled as she stormed up to Loki, being cut off from a meteor entering the tent they were in.
"Is that one of your powers?" Runa asked.
"Where did you send us?" The Variant questioned.
Lamentis - 1: 2077
Runa and the two Lokis exited the tent, looking around.
"You idiot! This is Lamentis 1!" The Variant yelled.
"I don't know that means!" Loki yelled back. A meteor fell right in front of them.
"The moon that planet is about to crash into and destroy." The three of them started to run.
"Out of all the apocalypses saved in that Tempad, this is the worst!" The Variant explained. "No one makes it off here!"
"Watch out! Loki yelled and grabbed Runas arm to pull her out the way of a meteor. "I'm sorry, madam. Didn't have time to scan the brochure."
They all ducked under a truck to avoid a larger meteor. "By the way, I thought you wanted me dead."
"I don't know where you hid that Tempad, but if you blow up, it blows up, and then we end up blown up." The Variant explained.
"There!" Runa yelled pointing at a mining shack.
"So were a team now?" Loki asked.
"Oh, Gods, no!" The Variant and Runa said at the same time.
"Get down!" Loki yelled grabbing Runas arm again.
"Didn't need your help." Runa told him.
The three of them made it inside the shack, all of them breathing heavily. Runa flopped down on a stool and adjusted her boots. She watched The Variant approach Loki and placed her hands behind Lokis neck. Jealousy burned through Runas body and she quickly looked away from the scene.
"What is going on?" She whispered.
"What are you doing?" Loki asked.
"What are you doing?" The Variant replied. Runa glared at them and stood up and went deeper into the shack trying to get away from them.
"I don't need you! I have Runa! She probably knows more about that thing than you!" Runa perked up when she heard her name be used.
"Is that why you saved me out there? So you can kill her and just rely on my knowledge. Runa strolled over to them hurt filled her eyes. "Am I just a pawn to you?"
"No, Runa I...."
"Oh please Loki." Runa rolled her eyes. "I'm on the verge of pruning you.. Both of you."
"Not if I kill you first." The Variant spat.
"Are we just going to slaughter each other then?" Loki asked.
"Sure." Runa shrugged
"Fine by me." The Variant huffed. A silence filled the air the only sounds were the distant rumbling of meteors hitting the planet. "The plan you two graciously interrupted was years in the making. Years!"
"Okay. Got it." Loki quipped.
"And as soon as I turn that Tempad back on, I'm going straight back to the TVA to finish what I started." The Variant told them.
"Can I ask what that is? As a TVA agent I would like to know." Runa asked.
"She is trying to take down the TVA." Loki explained.
"What? Not happening all prune you before you get there." Runa threatened.
"Or I'll kill you first." The Variant threatened back. Runa narrowed her eyes and headed for the door.
"Where are you going?" Loki questioned.
"There is power somewhere on this moon. We just need enough to travel through inter-dimensional time and space." Runa explained. "Then I'll turn both of you in, and get the respect I deserve."
"That's not happening." The Variant rolled her eyes.
Runa walked along a faded trail leading the way, the two Lokis behind her.
"What's the plan?" Loki spoke up over the complete silence that was over them. Runa opened her mouth to reply only to be interrupted by the Variant.
"There's a town near here." She said moving up to get ahead of Runa.
"Can both of you shut up?" Runa begged. "Just because I have to work with you two doesn't mean I want to hear your voice."
"Alright well..." Loki bit his lip.
"Can you slow down Variant." Loki asked.
"What part of imminent death confuse you?" The Variant asked. "And don't call me Variant."
"I'm sorry, but I'm not calling some faded photocopy of me Loki." Loki scoffed.
"Good. Cause that's not who I am anymore. I'm Sylvie now." Sylvie replied.
"You changed your name. Brilliant." Runa remarked.
"It's called an alias." Sylvie explained.
"It's not very Loki-like." Loki pointed out.
"Yeah? What exactly makes a Loki a Loki?" Sylvie queried.
"I would love to hear this answer." Runa added.
"Independence, authority, style." Loki listed.
"Oh please." Runa rolled her eyes.
"So naturally you went to work for the boring, oppressive time police." Sylvie remarked.
"I'm right here you know?" Runa protested.
"Oh I know." Sylvie smirked.
"I don't work for her... I mean them. I'm more of a consultant." Loki told Sylvie.
"You don't know what you want." Sylvie looked over at Loki.
"And what do you want Sylvie?" Runa questioned. "Your years-in-the-making plan was to tear the TVA down, create the ultimate power vacuum, and then just walk away."
"I'd never have done that." Loki added.
"Yeah? Well, I'm not you." Sylvie quipped. "Can we get on with this now?" Runa sighed and sped up her pace to at least keep up with Loki. Her and Lokis fingers brushed briefly for a moment and Loki tried to grab Runas hand.
"Don't you dare." She hissed and took a slight step away from him.
"Is this the town?" Loki asked looking at the crumbling buildings that lined the path.
"It looks like everyone already fled." Runa remarked.
"If they did, it was in vain." Sylvie stated.
"How long do we have?" Runa questioned.
"Twelve hours or so. Things down here are only gonna get worse. More meteors, gravity quakes, and of course, the collapse of society in the face of annihilation." Sylvie responded.
"Could that charge the Tempad?" Loki asked pointing at a neon sign.
"Maybe." Sylvie nodded and ran up to the sign. "I'm just checking the coupling. Making sure it could connect.
"Right." Runa nodded slowly.
"Okay. Hand it over." Sylvie ordered.
"Pitiful. I'm not giving it to you. You're gonna have to try harder." Loki tutted.
"Then don't give me your tech savvy ideas either." Sylvie sassed.
"The Tempad requires a massive power source, not a night light." Runa explained.
"I don't need your smartass explanations ether Agent." Sylvie spat and stormed off to continue through the town. Runa spotted a house in the distance and sped up to get to it.
Once at the porch she grabbed her Time stick and turned it on. She was about to bust down the door before Loki grabbed her arm.
"Brute force is no substitute for diplomacy and guile." Loki reminded. Runa sighed.
"Noted." Sylvie then stormed up to the door and kicked it down, getting met with a blast. Sending her flying.
"It's remarkable that you made it as far as you did." Runa sighed.
"Oh please you were about to do the same thing." Loki rolled his eyes.
"Sorry about that." Runa apologized.
"Don't be." A woman's voice came from the house. "I enjoyed it."
"Oh." Runa chuckled. "I did too. But I can assure you, despite my acquaintance behaving like an animal.." She looked over at Sylvie with a smirk. "We mean you no harm. We're simply weary travelers."
"Sure you are." The woman replied. Loki looked into the window of the house and saw a picture of the woman and her husband.
"Don't you dare Loki." Runa muttered. Loki shape shifted into the woman's husband and stood in the doorway.
"Hello, dear." Loki said.
"Patrice?" The woman asked.
"Mhm." Loki nodded. "It's been a long time. You're as beautiful as..." Loki got blasted, sending him flying as well.
"Patrice never said a thing that nice in 30 years." The woman shouted. "You're no travelers, you're devils."
"Which one was that?" Runa asked jumping off the porch.
"Diplomacy or.." Sylvie continued.
"Don't." Loki huffed. "Just don't."
"What do you devils want with me?" The woman asked, walking onto her porch.
"We just want to ask you a question." Runa explained. "Where is everyone?"
"The ark." The woman replied. Runa looked at Loki and Sylvie. "The evacuation vessel."
"Something like that would have enough juice to repower the Tempad." Sylvie remarked.
"How do we get there?" Loki questioned.
"Train stations the edge of town. But you'll never get a ticket."
"We'll take our chances. Thank you." Runa nodded. "Let's go." She started to walk off.
Tumblr media
"Well this looks fun." Loki remarked as they approached the train station.
"Come on." Sylvie urged.
"We can't fight our way into that train Sylvie." Runa told her.
"Who said anything about fighting?" Sylvie asked.
"All your plans involve fighting." Loki explained.
"Not this one. I'm going to enchant a guard, have him lead us through the crowd, and if anyone gives us any trouble.."
"Make him start shooting?" Runa asked. "And then what, kill every guard and hijack the train?"
"Whether or not there's a fight is entirely up to them." Sylvie responded.
"We're doing this one my way." Loki declared as he placed his hands on Sylvies shoulders and shape shifted into a guard.
"How do I look? Pretty handsome huh?" Loki looked at Runa.
"You look like someone with a shit plan." Runa rolled her eyes.
"I agree with the Agent on this one." Sylvie agreed.
"It's a great plan."
"Hmm." Runa bit her lip.
"Just follow me. Grab an arm ladies!" Runa and Sylvie groaned and grabbed an arm.
"To Shuroo? This way." A guard said.
"They're only giving tickets out to the wealthy!" A woman cried from the crowd.
"I feel kinda bad for them." Runa frowned.
"They're all going to die anyway." Sylvie scoffed.
"Still. Im allowed to feel bad." Runa pointed out. Loki started to speed up his pace trying to avoid the guard asking for tickets.
"Woah! Hey!" The guard stopped them.
"Taking these two ladies to Shuroo." Loki explained.
"Okay. And the tickets?" The guard asked.
"Orders come from the top to get them on this train."
"Sir this..." Sylvie grabbed the guards are and enchanted him.
"Everything ok?" Another guard came over.
"Everything's fine. I just remembered that headquarters radioed in their request for them this morning." The guard explained.
"Ok." The other guard sighed.
"Ok." Loki nodded and led Runa and Sylvie onto the train. "Good evening, passengers. Hi." Loki greeted as thru entered the lounge. Sylvie sat down at a booth and Runa sat beside her. "Um I can't go backwards on a train." Loki told Sylvie.
"Well, I never sit with my back to a door." Sylvie said.
"There are doors on both sides." Runa pointed out.
"Just sit down." Sylvie rolled her eyes.
"FYI that wasn't a plan Loki." Runa sighed and rested her arms on the table, placing her head on top of them.
"I agree with the Agent again." Sylvie agreed.
"Oh really?" Loki raised an eyebrow.
"Plans have multiple steps." Runa reminded. "Dressing as a guard and getting on a train is just doing a thing." She yawned.
"You tired?" Loki looked at Runa worriedly. "You need to get some rest." Runa glared at him.
"Why would I sleep? I'm surrounded by two Lokis. You can easily kill me in my sleep."
"You think I would do that Runa?" Loki asked. "Her maybe, but me?"
"I can't trust a word that comes out of your mouth anymore Loki."
"You are free to take a nap though?" Sylvie suggested to Loki.
"Nice try." Loki leaned forward.
"I'm not gonna waste my time rooting around for the Tempad when someone taught you fairly decent magic." Sylvie pointed out.
"She got you there." Runa agreed.
"My mother." Loki told them. Sylvie scoffed and looked away from Loki.
"Oh shit." Runa muttered.
"What was she like?" Sylvie asked.
"She was um..." Loki looked down at his lap. "A Queen of Asgard. She was good." He nodded. "Purely decent."
"Are you sure she was your mother?" Sylvie asked.
"Oh, no, she's not actually. I was adopted." Loki said.
"Is that a bit of a spoiler for you?" Runa asked Sylvie.
"No, I knew I was adopted." Sylvie replied casually.
"What? They told you?" Loki questioned.
"Yeah." Sylvie nodded. "Did they not tell you?"
"No... I mean, they did, eventually." Loki explained.
"Hang in a second." Runa interrupted. "Tell us about your mother Sylvie."
"I barley remember her. Just blips of a dream at this point. And your mother Agent? Oh wait you don't have one. You were created by the Time Keepers."
"I thought I was started to like you but nope." Runa scowled.
"The feeling is mutual Agent." Sylvie smirked.
"You know..." Loki said trying to change the subject. "When I was young, she'd do these bits of magic for me. Turn a flower into a frog or cast fireworks over the water." He described. "It all seemed impossible but she told me that I'd be able to do it too because... Because I could do anything."
"That's actually really sweet." Runa gushed.
"You wanna see?" Loki asked, he opened his hands and little fireworks erupted into the air.
"Not bad." Sylvie shrugged.
"She was the kinda person you'd want to believe in you." Loki explained.
"Sounds like she does." Sylvie replied.
"Well she did." Loki sighed.
"Maybe I will take you up on that offer for a nap." Runa yawned.
"Rest Runa. I promise nothing will happen to you." Loki reassured.
"If you do I swear I'll grind both of you to a pulp..." Runa sighed as she fell asleep.
"Can I ask you where'd you learn to do the..." Loki gestured with hands. "You know the... whatever it is."
"I taught myself." Sylvie answered.
"You taught yourself that magic?" Loki questioned.
"Yeah I did."
"What, do you just go into their minds and project some sort of illusion?"
"It'd be easier if I just..."
"Enchanted me and take the Tempad and leap out of the train?" Loki finished. "No thank you."
"Well then, don't ask." Sylvie quipped.
"Okay."
"Champagne?" The hostess asked.
"Ah, yes. Thank you very much." Loki thanked.
"No I'm good thanks." Sylvie replied.
"I'll take hers. Thank you." Loki grabbed the two glasses. "Cheered." He clanked the glasses together. "To the end of the world." Loki took a sip. "I pity the old woman chose to die, don't you think?"
"She was in love." Sylvie told him.
"She hated him." Loki pointed out.
"Maybe love is hate."
"Should probably remember that." Loki conjured a quill and paper. "What was that? Love is hate."
"Oh piss off." Sylvie hissed.
"So, on the subject of love, is there a lucky beau waiting for you at the end of this crusade?"
"Yeah there is actually."
"Oh?" Loki tilted his head.
"Managed to maintain quite a serious long-distance relationship with a postman, whilst running across time from one apocalypse to another. " Sylvie described.
"With charm like that, who could resist you?"
"Well, people are quite willing in the face of certain doom."
"I'm sure they are."
"It was only ever just to keep me going." Sylvie sighed. "How about you? You're a prince. Must've been would-be-princesses or perhaps, another prince:" She wiggled her eyebrows. "I mean you were able to charm a TVA agent,"
"A bit of both... but there was this Princess of Vanahiem that came on a royal retreat and stayed with my family for awhile. She was the most beautiful being in all the Nine Realms. I loved her and she loved me very much, until my father decided to have her be wed to my brother. We still decided to have our courtship in secret and then one day she disappeared. We couldn't find her in Asgard or any of the Nine Realms. I was heartbroken, and still blame my father for never looking hard enough for her."
"I know." Sylvie whispered.
"What do you mean I know?"
"I saw it. When I enchanted her." Sylvie looked over at Runa.
"What?"
"When I enchant someone I have to make physical contact and then grab hold of their mind." Sylvie explained.
"Yeah and what does that have to do with Runa and my story?" Loki questioned.
"Let me finish!" Sylvie told him. "Most minds are easy and I can overtake them instantly. Others, the stronger ones, it gets tricky. I'm in control but they're there, too. In order to preserve the connection, I have to create a fantasy from their memories... You're little Agent, her mind was messed up. Everything clouded. I had to pull a memory from hundreds of years prior, before she even worked for the TVA."
"What? What'd you just say?" Loki asked. "Before she worked for the TVA."
"Yeah. Your little Agent is your princess from your story."
"N-No that can't be possible?" He stammered. "I would have recognized her when I got to the TVA. I loved her, I would never forget her."
"As soon as you walk through the Time door into the TVA every memory that you could have with a worker is clouded. You can remember your time with your Princess but face, name, anything that can be drawn back to her is clouded." She explained.
"No. It can't be you're lying." Loki denied, blinking back tears.
"Give me your hand." Sylvie ordered.
"No. You're going to enchant me to give you the Tempad."
"I'm not. I'm going to uncloud your brain."
"Which requires enchantment!"
"Just trust me Loki." Sylvie sighed.
"Why would I do that? You aren't the most trustworthy person." Loki asked.
"So are you."
"You got me there." He sighed. "Do it then." Sylvie grabbed his hand. Sylvie closed her eyes and enchanted him.
"Oh my Gods." Loki breathed. "It is her."
"I told you. And I didn't enchant you to give me the Tempad."
"Thank you." Loki gave her a small smile, as he ran his fingers through Runas hair.
"You're welcome, I guess" Sylvie shrugged.
"How am I going to tell her?" He asked.
"She will probably figure it out on her own. She was a difficult one to hold on to." Sylvie explained. "But it shouldn't come from you, since she kinda hates you it looks like."
"Yeah... I wish she didn't. I want to tell her so bad, I want her to love me."
"I think I'm going to sleep for a bit. I trust you won't kill me since you are utterly enamored with your Princess." Sylvie told him changing the subject.
"Ok. I think I might get some more champagne."
Tumblr media
Runa slowly woke up from her nap to joyful music, she looked over at Sylvie, who also decided to take a nap, and then over to Lokis spot which was empty.
"She sings, she sings come home." Loki sang. Runa looked over to where Lokis voice was coming from and saw him out of his guards uniform singing and dancing with the other people on the train. Runa attempted to wave over  Loki which just waved back at her.
"Where's your uniform?" Runa asked. Loki grabbed the collar of his jacket and started to dance. "Oh my gods." She sighed and nudged Sylvie awake.
"What the Hell?" Sylvie spat.
"Loki is going to blow our cover." Runa sighed.
"Of course." Sylvie rolled her eyes. The lively music slowed down and Loki began to shush everyone.
"I stormsvarte fjell, Jeg vandrer alene.*" Loki sang making eye contact with Runa. "Over isbreen tar jeg meg frem. I eplehagen står møyen den vene.*" He slowly walked up to Runa. "Og synger*" Runa muttered the lyrics with Loki.  "Når kommer du hjem.*" Loki then continued with the upbeat music and Runa sat there in confusion.
"How in universe did I know that?" Runa muttered.
"When she sings, she sings come home." Loki finished. "To Runa everybody!" He yelled as he chugged another drink. "Another." Loki threw the glass on the ground.
"Stay here." Runa sighed and got out of the booth.
"I'll just come too." Sylvie huffed. Runa grabbed Loki by the arm and pulled her closer to him.
"You're drunk." Runa told him.
"No I'm just full." Loki explained. "But bear in mind, I'm very full." Runa frowned and crossed her arms in front of her. "I need you to taste this." Loki grabbed a plate from the bar. "It pairs very nicely with the Figgy Port. Who's got the Figgy Port." He looked around. "You have to take my word on the Figgy Port."
"Where's your uniform?" Runa asked. "We're meant to be laying low."
"Nobody cares. It's the end of the world."
"I think something is happening." Sylvie muttered.
"Yes, that planet is about to crash into us." Loki looked up through the skylight.
"Don't be an ass." Runa hissed.
"I saw some people looking at you weirdly." Sylvie mentioned.
"What?" Loki asked resting his arm on the bar, letting a few things fall when he did so. "When did you get so paranoid Sylvie?"
"It must have started when I spent my entire life running from the omniscient fascists you two work for." Sylvie spat.
"It's a shame to let that go to waste." Loki frowned at the mess at the ground. "Change of subject! I thought of an answer."
"To what?" Runa asked.
"Your question." Loki looked at Sylvie. "Love is a dagger." He conjured his dagger. "It's a weapon to be welded far away or up close."
"Oh please." Runa huffed and rolled her eyes, jealousy burning in her again.
"You can see yourself in it. It's beautiful." Loki continued on. "Until it makes you bleed." He flipped the dagger where the sharp part was facing him. "But ultimately, when you reach for it..." Sylvie went to grab the dagger, but it disappeared.
"It isn't real." Sylvie finished.
"Yeah." Loki nodded.
"Love is an imaginary dagger?" Runa raised an eyebrow.
"Doesn't make sense, does it?"
"No. Terrible metaphor." Sylvie shook his head.
"Damn. I thought I had something there." Loki frowned. Runa heard a door open and the three of them looked to see a man and few guards coming in.
"Shit." Runa whispered
"Stay cool." Sylvie whispered back.
"It's going to be fine." Loki nodded.
"Sir, can I see your tickets?" A guard asked Loki.
"You again! Hello!" Loki greeted. "Um tickets. Yes, of course. Here they are." Loki held up his hand and projected the firework illusion. "Oops... Still, it looks lovely, doesn't it?" The guards grabbed Loki. "Look, is this really necessary? There is a simple explanation." Another guard placed a hand on Lokis chest. "Hey!" He protested and placed a hand on the guards chest a pushed him, making the guards break out into a fight.
"You ready?" Runa looked at Sylvie as she pulled out her Timestick.
"You better not use that on me." Sylvie replied.
"Not making any promises!" Runa said as she hit a guard in the head. "Cute! Using your little crown thing as a weapon. That's not terrifying at all." She remarked to Sylvie, as they fought side by side. A guard then came behind Runa and got her in a choke hold.
"Runa!" Loki yelled as he threw a dagger at her, it landing in the wall next to her.
"Awful throw!" Runa yelled back. Sylvie got the guard off Runas back and threw him out the window.
"Bye!" Loki taunted before getting thrown out the window himself. Sylvie looked at Runa.
"Tempad." They said in unison. Sylvie grabbed her sword off the ground and Runa grabbed her Timestick before both of them made their way to the window and jumped out.
*TRANSLATION TO LOKIS SINGING*
On mountains darker by the storms I'm wandering alone. Over the glaciers, I'm pushing on. The fair maiden is in the apple orchard And she's singing: When will you come home?

Oh i think they definitely WANT to eventually crossover many seasons down the line but as their first season showed, critical and audience reception is prob a major factor in whether they will. I don't see them diluting their more acclaimed show w/ their critical flop (not even just critics, it even has a rotten audience score). That's why I think they're just doing minor teases so far and not making one show rely on anything in the other, that way if one show doesn't work out they don't lose anything.
The showrunners for MW are from Masters of Sex which is a pretty good show but I feel like are wrong for this genre and the writing is just so generic and the actors are not enjoying themselves prob cause their dialogue sucks. No one has any chemistry with A. Daddario either cause she's so bland. My prediction is if the show remains kinda buzzless by Season 3 they'll stick Lestat over there for a season and see if that helps lol. But i feel quite certain they're not going to interfere with anything until IWTV and TVL are done first, cause those are like the essentials.. after that I don't think anyone would care if they start departing from the books lmao
Omg its amc mayfair ether hours in my inbox😂😂😂😂😂😂 yo why did amc do this . for ppl who once made a show called masters of sex this mayfair adaptation sounds rather unsexy according to what ive been told which is insane cuz i think tongayi chirisa is so incredibly attractive & has loads of sex appeal in the promo photos of cip lol. & i agree i dont think theyll throw in the crossover so early on n i do wonder if they ever will if mw keeps getting shit lol but i do think theyll have to draw upon other books esp for armand + daniel [qotd, tva] & for any other subsequent charas introduced in s2 of iwtv & s3 esp tvl wise thats when so many lore necessary charas r introduced …

“Is that possible? He can change?”
AU - Where Loki joins the TVA because it takes him and Mobius longer than expected to find the other variant Loki and they become dear partners while they go on other miscellaneous missions together, thus giving Loki the opportunity to gain the TVA (or at least Mobius’s) trust, and in turn is enough to earn Loki their valued weaponry to his arsenal.

[   MASTERPOST   ]
"Nothing has any consequence!"
Pompeii goes to plan.
Ignoring the ridiculous Latin monologue was a little hard and maybe did discredit the overall approach, but Loki was right. His Variant could very well be hiding in the zero kick back. His theory, just like yours, held up.
Now, as Vesuvius' hellfire begins to rains down, Loki huffs to catch his breath and throws a smile as bright as the sun your way. It stops you, for a second, and you just can hardly believe him. He's proud of himself.
Frankly, you're a little proud, too.
Then, you let out a laugh, shake your head and turn to Mobius for approval.
"How'd we do?" you both ask at once.
Loki throws his arms out, a stray curl hanging in his face.
"I can't believe it."
The pride of being right transfers over back to the TVA when the three of you step back through the warbling, shimmering portal and rush to gather up a stack of files from Mobius' desk.
"Doomsdays!"
You rush to match Mobius and Loki's strides.
"He's been ambushing our soldiers and hiding out in doomsdays to cover his tracks," the Agent says, rounding the desk.
Loki grins. "You're welcome."
"Yeah, but in order for this theory to hold—"
You chime in, gesturing to yourself as you speak. "They've gotta be sudden, no warning—"
"Naturally-occurring, no survivors," Mobius finishes with a nod, "Exactly."
"Well how many of those could their be?" Loki asks as he follows you both.
"We're about to find out."
...Turns out there's a lot.
Like piles and piles of debriefs on disaster after disaster and not even just Earth. There's a million and one files sprawled out on the long table that the three of you call home for the next hour? Two hours? Three? Four?
Time passes differently in the TVA.
It's even harder when you aren't really sure what you're looking for — so you pour over all you can with any hope that something will stick out.
Loki and Mobius seem just as disheartened as you.
Your slow crawl into a little bit of shut eye starts as you slump in your chair, lean over the table, and squint at a dossier on a Level Three Apocalypse flash-flood in 2098 on some planet called Sakaar. You feel like you're back in high-school — like it's fifth period, right after lunch, and you're trying to push through an AP Calc worksheet. But, you can hardly keep your eyes open.
Beside you, Loki is engrossed in his own reading.
When he finally looks up, he notices that you're beginning to melt into the table.
You rest your chin on your wrist and dig lazily for your next file.
The God watches with a barely-there smirk. The sight tugs at his heart — especially as you drag a yawn from your lungs and exhale slowly. He can see that you're exhausted. The little jaunt through time seemed to have pulled the last bit of your energy out, however.
He doesn't blame you.
He's starting to feel it as well.
Time ticks by, and the three of you continue in silence.
Then, Mobius looks up at the sound of shuffling.
Loki freezes when the Agent looks up with one arm out of his jacket — and the expression on the God's face is sheepish if anything.
Loki presses his finger to his lips, then continues peeling the windbreaker off.
Mobius then watches as he gently places it over your shoulders.
You're now fast asleep atop a pile of manilla folders — lips parted and eyes moving behind your lids as you dream. Your snores are quiet; had Mobius not noticed the God's attempt to keep you comfortable, he wouldn't have even caught you sleeping.
The gesture is kind.
Out of character for Loki.
But, Mobius has to wonder if that little talk you and him had in the cafeteria went better than expected.
Mobius whispers. "Let's take a walk."
Loki spares one look at you, then quietly pushes himself up from his seat.
He'll let you sleep for now.
You hardly stir when the two men disappear for coffee and tea respectively.
You're not sure how long you're asleep or, frankly, when the hell you even fell asleep, but you stir to the sudden jolt of footsteps approaching your table. When you raise your head and pry your eyes open, you come face to face with Mobius and Loki returning with more files.
You rubs your palm to your eye and scratch your face.
Your cheek is hot.
As you sit up, you feel something shit along your shoulders — you reach, fingers dashing along the hem of the material. You realize, suddenly, that it's a certain God's jacket.
His voice startles your soft expression at the gesture.
"Ah, hello sleeping beauty," comes Loki's soft jest as he rounds the table, "Care to help us?"
The two of them are sudden invigorated with purpose, and you nod tiredly as you take a portion of Loki's stack.
"Gentlemen's bet? Yeah?"
"Yeah?"
"Okay, yeah, let's play for pride."
You swallow. You voice is rough with sleep. "What am I looking for?"
"Kablooie," Loki says with a wild shrug as he leans close, "No idea."
"Candy, doc," Mobius says as he begins flipping through the files, "Sold regionally on Earth from 2047 to 2051."
"You're cross referencing," you say to no one in particular as you begin your own search, "Two variables."
"Extinction of a swallow...? Is that a thing?"
Mobius waves him on. "Completely destroyed the ecosystem."
You flip past an eruption at Yosemite and eye a Class Ten file — the State of California peeling away from the major fault line. You mutter an astounded curse. But, still, no real evidence of kablooie.
"It's just one thing after another..."
"This is terrifying," you mutter as you flip to another ecosystem collapse, "Absolutely nightmarish."
"Yeah, well, the world is scary, Doc—"
"Got him."
You both look at Loki.
Alabama.
"That's where he is."
"Alabama, 2050," Mobius says as he reads the dossier, leaning forward; then, a look of pride slips across the TVA agent's face, "You're gonna take my job if you're not careful."
Loki's smile is tight-lipped. He looks at you, and you smile.
"Onto Haven Hills, then."

You had been pruned seconds after Loki had in the battle in the TVA’s headquarters. Strangely, it didn’t hurt like you had expected. Just a faint sensation of completely and utter emptiness, and then everything went dark. Just like falling asleep. When you came back to your senses, it was just as gentle. You awoke in a bed of grass, staring up at a cloudy sky. A wave of relief calmed the rising panic in your veins when you turned to see Loki lying next to you.
You took in your surroundings slowly. The clouds looming above you looked threatening, like an impending storm, and far off in the distance was what looked like a ruined city. Crumbling skyscrapers pierced the horizon like jagged teeth. Heart speeding up in fear, you quickly shook Loki awake. “Wake up,” you hissed. “I have no idea where the hell we are.”
Loki grumbled and raised a disoriented hand to bat yours away, but still cracked open his hazy eyes to squint at you. A smile lit up his face when he saw you staring back at him, and you’d have been touched if it wasn’t important that he wake up right now. Upon seeing the anxiety written clearly on your face, he furrowed his brows and sat up, shaking his head to chase away the lingering confusion. You could tell the moment he realized something was very...wrong with the realm you found yourselves in, as his eyes widened and he was instantly on guard.
A deafening roar shook the ground, alerting the both of you to a looming danger, and you turned around to see a purple mass bearing down on you. You’d seen your fair share of fucked up things to know that this was not something you wanted to stick around for. Around you, small, bird-like creatures fled from the shadowy monster. In a flash, you were on your feet, tugging on Loki’s arm to pull him up with you. “Come on,” you yelled, raising your voice to be heard over the wind that had suddenly picked up speed.
Loki whipped his head around, desperately searching for shelter, then pointed at the city. “There, run!” He took off in a sprint towards the buildings, with you stumbling along behind him. The head start you got seemed to be enough to out run whatever was chasing you, but you didn’t dare slow down as you ran full tilt to safety. As the city drew closer, a sense of dread crept into your limbs, but you pushed it down. Better to race towards the unknown when the known was actively trying to kill you.
Your legs burned and your lungs were screaming out in protest, but Loki’s panted encouragements kept you on your feet and moving long enough to reach what looked like a half-collapsed hotel. Loki rushed inside the dilapidated building, holding the door open for you to scramble inside before slamming it shut. Another roar made the building tremble, and you bit your lip. As the ceiling shook and spat dust into your hair, you prayed that it would hold. Out of the frying pan, you thought to yourself.
Fortunately, it seemed as if the monster had moved on in search of easier prey, and you took the moment of fragile peace to sink against the wall and finally catch your breath. You dropped your head into your hands, trying to force your breathing back into a normal rhythm and figure out what the hell was happening. You’d just about calmed down when you heard Loki chuckle. “What’s so fu-funny?” You asked, still panting.
“That wasn’t me.”
“Huh?” You looked up, then felt your newly regained breath leave your lungs as another Loki emerged from the darkened hallway. He was dressed in what looked like a suit tailored after your Loki’s Asgardian armor, and he wore his horns proudly. A “Vote Loki,” pin sat crooked on his suit jacket. The flickering lights above him illuminated his grin, making him look like, well, a villain.
“You’re a variant,” your Loki said, stepping in front of you and eyeing his twin warily. The only ever Loki variant you had encountered was Sylvie, and she was questionable at the best of times. Loki was right to be on guard.
“I suppose you could call me that,” President Loki drawled, tracing a finger along the dusty wall as he stalked towards you. It left tracks on the wallpaper.  He leaned to the side to peer around you Loki, and you felt naked under his predatory gaze. You shrank further behind your boyfriend.
“My, what do you have here?” He asked, eyes lighting up in a way that made your hair stand on end. “What a pretty toy, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if I had a turn?”
Your Loki groweld protectively, and he took a step forward. “Do not lay a finger on her.”
President Loki frowned. “That’s no way to treat the superior version of yourself.” He continued his march forward, then slowed to a stop inches from your Loki’s defensive frame. “It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen a beautiful woman.”
You were horrified to find a confusing sort of arousal settling into your stomach. This was, after all, just another version of Loki, the man who’d spent so many nights taking you apart and putting you back together again. You’d seen those same hooded eyes so many times, seen that same smile as Loki made you squirm. Despite trying your hardest to fight it, you could feel a dampness soak into your panties, making you shift uncomfortably.
Just as perceptive as your own Loki, President Loki seemed to sense your growing interest. His frown broke out into a wide smile. “Oh, you want it, don’t you? Go on, tell your guard dog to back down, so we can play.” He nodded towards your Loki, who had turned around to look at you with perplexed, hurt eyes.
“Really?” He asked, flicking his gaze from the blush on your face towards your tensing thighs. He instantly recognized the arousal he’d seen so many times before, and his expression grew bewildered.
“I-I’m sorry,” you whimpered, trying to defend yourself. “He looks just like you, I mean, he is you, and I…” you squeezed your eyes shut. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
This was all so fucked. Just minutes ago you were running for your life in a strange new world, and now all that adrenaline had shifted into a violent desire to be broken to pieces. Just so you didn’t have to think about the horror that was your current situation. President Loki was still staring at you, pupils now blown and tongue running across his bottom lip in blatant want.
“Oh, love. There’s nothing wrong with you,” the variant purred. His voice was a bit deeper than your Loki’s, but it still had that velvet smoothness that always made you weak in the knees. A bright flash of green shot out from his fingertips, ensnaring your Loki in glowing rope.
He gasped in surprise, and immediately began to struggle against the magic, but it was in vain. You cried out and reached for him, but President Loki was faster. He grabbed your Loki’s arm, then began to drag him away from you and down the hallway. With a sharp whistle, he motioned his head for you to follow, and found yourself standing and trailing behind the two Lokis like an obedient dog.
President Loki pulled yours into the depths of the hotel, you following anxiously. Your Loki shouted threats and harsh words, but the magic bonds kept him nearly immobile as he was guided by President Loki. You didn’t dare try anything stupid; you weren’t a fighter, and you suspected that this variant far outmatched both you and your lover in combat. All you could do was obey and hope he showed mercy.
You were led into a suite that seemed more put together than the rest of the hotel. Everything looked much cleaner, especially the bed, and most of the walls appeared to be stable. President Loki shoved your Loki into an armchair at the back wall of the room, and then positioned it so that it was facing the bed. “Well?” He asked, lazily gesturing towards the bed.
A gush of wetness seeped from your core at the same time as fear gripped your chest. Two conflicting emotions warred within you, and you felt hot tears stinging your eyes at the confusion of it all. On one hand, you loved your Loki. There was not telling how trustworthy this variant was, if he was going to hurt you or your boyfriend. On the other, this was the once in a lifetime chance to experience a threesome with only Loki. A fantasy that most likely no other person had gotten the chance to experience outside of their dreams.
You cast a helpless glance over at your Loki. When you weren’t looking, President Loki must have gagged him, because there was now an emerald piece of fabric stuffed between his lips. Your pussy throbbed in appreciation at the sight while your heart ached at the terror in his eyes.
President Loki rolled his eyes. “I can’t say I’ve ever met a version of me quite this soft,” he said, walking to his clone’s chair. “Let me help you relax.” President Loki straddled your Loki, chuckling at the muffled whimper that spilled from behind the gag. The variant brought his head down to bite at Loki's neck, and your mouth dropped open.
To your surprise--and hesitant delight--your Loki seemed to be almost enjoying the treatment. His head had fallen back against the chair, and he was breathing in that strained way that he did when he was turned on and trying to hide it. Kinky bastard, you thought to yourself.
President Loki paused his assault on your Loki’s neck to look back at you. “See? He likes it, dear. Now be a good girl and get on the bed,” he commanded. The growl in his voice let you know that he would not tolerate being disobeyed again, so you nodded and clambered on top of the bed.
Sliding off Loki’s lap, the variant gave him a quick pat on the head and then made his way over to you. “Mmmf!” Loki mumbled, earning a sharp look from President Loki.
“I won’t hurt her. If you stay quiet like a good boy, I may let you have a turn.”
That sent chills down your spine. The thought of both of the Lokis having their way with you was almost too much, and your shaking knees finally gave out to send you sprawling onto your back against the pillows. Seemingly amused, President Loki snickered and crawled onto the bed. He crept forward until he was hovering over you, dark blue eyes raking across your trembling form.
You squirmed under his piercing gaze. The shivers making their way up and down your spine were unrelenting, no matter how hard you tried to keep still and quiet. “What happens now?” You squeaked out.
President Loki’s mouth opened in a wide green, revealing stark white teeth that almost looked sharp. “Now, we play.” Green light appeared at his fingertips again, and your hands shot up uncontrollably. You yelped in surprise and tugged on the rope that had appeared on your wrists. You were bound to the headboard, completely at the mercy of this variant. And fuck, it was exciting and terrifying and arousing all at the same time. What a mess.
There was that green light again. This time, it revolved around itself until it took the shape of a jet black dagger. President Loki ran his thumb along the handle, eyes leaving you to gaze lovingly at the knife. Your breath quickened in fear. “Stay still,” he purred. With deft fingers, President Loki raked the tip of the dagger down your shirt, cutting it open at the front. You let out an embarrassingly high pitched squeal as cold metal came in contact with your bare skin. But, as he promised, the variant did not hurt you. He made quick work of your pants as well, abandoning the knife in favor of simply yanking them down your legs along with your panties.
The cold air hitting your bare skin made you gasp. You tugged uselessly at your wrists, wanting to cover yourself in embarrassment at your sudden nakedness. Your frantic squirming made President Loki chuckle, and he leaned down to nip at your ear. “Don’t worry, sweet thing. I’ll warm you up.” His hot breath against your ear sent shivers of pleasure down your spine, and you couldn’t suppress a soft moan.
Suddenly remembering your restrained boyfriend, you managed to peer around President Loki to make sure he was alright. Your Loki was still bound and gagged, but now his face was alight with a crimson blush. Your eyes drifted downwards to the prominent bulge in his pants. When he caught you staring, Loki dropped his gaze away from yours, ashamed.
President Loki watched the silent conversation, amused. He trailed a thin finger up your thigh, then sat back to straddle your hips. “He’s enjoying himself,” the variant said confidently. He grinned at you. “I know because he’s me, and he likes what I like.”
All you could do was stare up at him with wide eyes, naked and defenseless underneath his weight.
“Oh? Surprised, are we?” President Loki drawled as he waved his hand casually. His suit faded away with his gesture, leaving him bare as well. His long cock mirrored your boyfriend’s, and it was swollen and dripping. You licked your lips. “I’ll take it you two haven’t fully...explored his interests. Us Lokis crave dominance, to be left at the mercy of a pretty thing like you.”
“So why aren’t you-”
He cut you off with a gentle slap to your inner thigh. When you sucked in a harsh breath, he chuckled. “Because there’s something else we love. Power.” WIth that, President Loki moved to place his legs on either side of you. He grabbed your ankles roughly and pressed your legs back until they sat atop his shoulders. You groaned at the stretch, then sighed heavily as he titled his head to the side to mouth at your ankle. “Ready, slut?” He growled.
You didn’t get a chance to answer. The air was stolen from your lungs as the variant plunged his hard cock into you, the stretch burning. You screamed out in pleasure and pain, listening to what sounded like both Lokis moaning in unison. The version that was currently buried deep inside of your heat rolled his eyes back in pleasure at the feeling of your pussy flexing around him.
“Oh, it’s been so long,” the variant moaned. “I want to make this last.” He began thrusting his hips lazily, more grinding into you than anything. You whimpered as you got used to the size of him. It felt like you were dreaming with how overwhelming it all was. Your core throbbed again and again as new gushes of arousal spilled from your cunt, and your head was spinning with the knowledge that just feet from you, your boyfriend was being forced to watch another version of himself tear you apart. And he loved every second of it.
From behind President Loki, your Loki whined, and you could just barely see him twitching his hips up into nothing. “Please,” he begged, and you noticed that he had managed to slip the gag from his mouth. You weren’t sure what he was begging for. To be touched, to touch you. Probably both.
President Loki looked at you with lidded eyes, his bottom lip trapped between his teeth as he ground his cock deep inside of you. “Should we let him play, too?” He asked, voice ragged.
You nodded frantically. Words escaped you, but you desperately wanted your boyfriend here. You longed for his touch, wanting to feel them both. President Loki nodded and waved his hand back towards the chair. Loki’s bonds vanished, and he was scrambling onto the bed as soon as he was free.
He crawled up to the top of the bed, hands outstretched to grab your face and pull you in for a kiss. Your Loki gasped desperately as President Loki grabbed him by the hair, pulling hard so that he stopped just short of reaching your lips. Your Loki whimpered and went nearly limp in submission.
The variant let go of Loki’s hair, tsking at him like he was scolding a child. “You may not touch her without my permission.” His voice was surprisingly even, given how he was still thrusting into you. “Are we clear?”
Your Loki opened his mouth to argue, then thought better of it and nodded obediently. President Loki grinned wolfishly. “Good boy. You may kiss her.”
In a flash, your lover was leaning over you, pressing his mouth clumsily to yours. His tongue sought entry, and you let him in enthusiastically. You could practically feel the desperation seeping from his every pore. You’d never seen him this worked up, and silently wished you had discovered this kink of his a little sooner. “You look beautiful like this,” he panted into your mouth.
When you began to reply, it was cut short by a yelp as President Loki’s hand dropped down to play with your clit. Your Loki kissed you again, drinking in all of your moans as his variant brought you higher and higher with those deft fingers. With a growl, President Loki snatched your Loki’s hair again and dragged him away from your lips. Loki’s pitiful whine matched yours as you both gasped for air.
“Fuck her mouth,” President Loki commanded, increasing the pace of his thrusts with a growl of pleasure. His fingers kept up their assault on your clit, and you fought to crane your neck up and open your mouth to be ready for your boyfriend’s cock.
Loki hastily yanked off his pants and pulled out his weeping dick. He shuffled over to you, then leaned forward until he was close enough to guide himself onto your tongue. This was familiar, the heavy weight of Loki’s erection stretching your jaw. You closed your lips around him and began to suck, gritting your teeth against the cries of pleasure that threatened to break free from your throat.
President Loki let go of the other Loki’s hair and instead gripped your hip roughly as he began fucking you an earnest. “So tight,” he hissed. “Cum for me, little slut. Cum for your god.”
Helpless to do anything but obey, you felt your back arch up as your entire body convulsed. Pleasure ripped through you and left you a whimpering mess, drooling around you Loki’s cock. Your boyfriend cursed at the sight of you cumming, and began to pump himself in and out of your mouth. “I-I can’t help, fuck, help myself, darling. Ah, oh gods.”
“Such a good girl,” President Loki praised. He groaned at the tightening of your walls, then removed his hand from your clit to wrap a long arm around your Loki’s neck. Your Loki was forced to lean back against President Loki’s chest, only able to keep his cock in your mouth because of his lanky body.
Your Loki cried out, the sound broken up by his variant cutting off his oxygen. His hips stuttered violently, and you felt thick cum spurt into your throat. Somehow, you were able to force it down instead of choking, and you heard Loki whimper at the feel of his sensitive length being constricted by your throat. “Love, fuck,” he keened.
Seeing the two of you cum proved to be too much for the variant. “Oh, Norns, I can’t,” he groaned out harshly, then slammed himself into you and held his hips there as his cock pulsed within you. As he came, the magic binding your wrists dissipated, and you brought your arms down to rub at the sore muscles. Hot seed spilled out of you, running down to your ass. President Loki watched his cum drip from your swollen pussy in appreciation, panting softly.
Your Loki had collapsed next to you, and was now snuggled up against your side. The variant frowned at the sight, and you could almost detect a rueful look on his face. You hissed in a pained breath as President Loki slowly lowered your aching legs from his shoulders. He sighed as he pulled out of you, a rush of liquid gushing out and wetting the bed. Most of the dominance gone from his demeanor, he shifted awkwardly, as if he wasn’t sure where he fit in this dynamic.
His sudden insecurity didn’t surprise you. After all, he was a Loki, and they were notorious for their false confidence. It tracked. After a moment’s hesitation, you reached up and grabbed his arm to pull him to lay down next to you. He stared at you in slight confusion, but obliged, leaving you sandwiched between the two Lokis. You turned to your boyfriend, who was already drifting off, too fucked out to keep his eyes open. With a soft smile, you pressed a kiss to his forehead.
President Loki cleared his throat, catching your attention. “I, uh. It’s a bit sad. Seeing what I could’ve had. I can’t help but be envious.” He chewed on his bottom lip and looked away, bravado completely gone.
You rolled your eyes and threw a tired arm around him, feeling a rush of satisfaction when he purred happily and cuddled against you. “I think I have room in my life for more than one Loki,” you whispered. And it was true. If Loki was born to be a villain in every timeline, then you were born to love each one of them.

Fic gift for you
Variants come and go at the TVA, and the Judge rarely remembers the faces, so often does she have to prune annoying miscreants who risk ruining the Sacred Timeline. Almost all who come before the judge are guilty, and for those who are innocent, their timeline is still doomed – and them along with it. Is it fair? Perhaps not. But this is the job the Judge has been bestowed, and she has no memory or desire to carry out any other purpose, content to decree a death sentence to all.
There is one name however, that sticks in her mind, despite the fact that she wishes otherwise. Loki Laufeyson; Loki Odinson; Loki, God of Mischief; Loki, Prince of Asgard; Loki, Heir of Jotunheim – no matter the title or surname, the first name remains the same, and the parade of Loki variants who inevitably find themselves before the Judge bring with them their own versions of chaos. It would be exhausting, if the Judge could feel exhaustion.
There are Loki variants of all shapes and sizes, genders and abilities, and the unpredictable nature of Loki means the Judge presides over the pruning of their variants more than any other living soul in her career. The most frustrating variants however, are those who are so close to the Sacred Timeline – so close to perfecting the role set out by the Time Keepers – who then make one poor decision and ruin the natural order. The Judge hates these ones most of all.
-
L6128 is a version of Loki that falls under this category. The Judge is currently staring at a small boy, with pale skin, dark hair and slightly trembling knees.
‘Laufeyson, Variant L6128, you are charged with Sequence Violation 7-84-29. How do you plead?’
The boy before the Judge squeaks slightly, stumbling backwards in shock.
‘I’m Odinson, not Laufeyson,’ he mutters, chin stuck out stubbornly despite his shaking voice. ‘My father will come and destroy you for stealing me.’
The Judge leans forwards slightly on her desk, and peers downwards.
‘As you have just learnt, in your extremely ill-advised adventure into your weapons chamber, you are not an Asgardian, and Odin is not your father. Learning your true heritage at this point has caused a Nexus event. I find you guilty.’
The hammer slams down on the gavel, and the small boy is led away for pruning. Compassion is not instilled in the Judge, but look the boy gives her remains in her mind for a long time.
-
‘Laufeyson, Variant L3524, you are charged with Sequence Violation 7-28-59. How do you plead?’
L3524 stares back at her with a slightly haunted expression, which hardens when he hears the name.
‘Don’t call me that,’ he snarls, struggling against the guards holding him in place. This version seems to be more physically combatant than the last few, and the Judge eyes him warily.
‘You did not deploy the Destroyer against your brother on Earth,’ she announces. ‘I find you guilty.’
‘So what?’ snaps L3524. ‘I showed compassion for my brother and didn’t murder him, and for this I am condemned? Who the hell are you to determine what I should or should not have done?’
The Judge sighs. ‘By not deploying the Destroyer, you did not set the scene for your brother’s development,’ she drones, shuffling some paperwork. ‘You caused a Nexus event. Guilty.’
-
‘Laufeyson, Variant L9173, you are charged with Sequence Violation 7-46-39. How do you plead?’
Another court case, another Loki. L9173 can barely stand, covered in bruising and burn marks. He might drop dead before the Judge can issue a verdict, which would be efficient but unsatisfactory.
‘I don’t think my brother is very impressed that you stole me away,’ L9173 grunts out, an amused expression on his face despite everything. ‘Didn’t you hear, we had a very touching reunion when I managed to shake off a little bit of mind control? He’s not going to be happy he’s lost me yet again.’
The Judge gazes back with a bland expression. ‘Mister Odinson is not a concern to us. You were the one who violated the sequence and caused a Nexus event by choosing to fight the Chitauri instead of leading the invasion. The Avengers cannot continue down the Sacred Timeline if this happens. Guilty.’
-
‘Laufeyson, Variant L3372, you are charged with Sequence Violation 7-59-41. How do you plead?’
L3372 is being held up by two Minutemen, his face ashen and one hand attempting to staunch the flow of blood that is spreading across his chest.
‘I’d say interminable legalese is not my highest priority right now,’ he says, attempting to sound proud and strong despite slowly dying as they all stand in the court. ‘Perhaps we could discuss random allegations after I’ve taken a moment.’
The Judge doesn’t need a moment to determine guilt, however. This variant has not faked his own death for Thor Odinson, and was therefore not on the pathway to pretend to be King of Asgard. The events of Ragnarok had been moving further away; the Sacred Timeline must be preserved.
‘Guilty,’ the Judge announces, a bored wave of her hand. She can’t be bothered to even give an explanation this time – and L3372 is leaving an annoyingly large pool of blood on the floor.
-
The Judge is performing deskwork rather than court duties when the whispers and rumours begin to trickle around the office. A Loki variant, who escaped the Minutemen and is now set free in the timeline. It’s a concerning accident, but the Judge is sure the TVA will resolve it in an appropriate manner. It is not the Judge’s problem to deal with, however, and so she pushes the thought aside. There is more pruning to be done.
-
‘Laufeyson, Variant L6742, you are charged with Sequence Violation 7-93-19. How do you plead?’
After the last few variants, it’s almost surprising for the Judge to see such a strong and triumphant looking Loki, despite a heavy layer of annoyance displayed across his face, and bruises littering his cheek. He’s still clutching a blue, glowing box.
‘What right have you to bring me here?’ L6742 snaps, clutching the box tighter. ‘I demand you release me and take me back to Thor at once.’
The Judge reads out loud from the paperwork. ‘You have violated the Sacred Timeline and caused a Nexus event through using the Tesseract to save yourself and Thor Odinson from Thanos the Titan. You are guilty, and sentenced to pruning.’
L6742 fights back against the Minutemen at this, managing to kill one with his own weapon before more Minutemen burst in and surround him.
‘Whatever it is, you’re wrong about me,’ L6742 says desperately. ‘I was making a difference.’
‘Exactly,’ the Judge feels compelled to interject. ‘You were making the wrong difference. Stop fighting the inevitable. You were born to cause pain and suffering and death. That’s how it is, that’s how it was, that’s how it will be. All so that others can achieve their best versions of themselves. Stop trying to stray from your path. Guilty.’
The hammer bangs on the gavel with finality, and L6742 is led away for his sentence.
-
There’s another Loki variant at the TVA not long after – L1130. The Judge doesn’t meet this version – Ravonna Renslayer herself oversaw his sentencing. But she is surprised to hear that the variant is allowed to keep existing, at least whilst helping on a case. Mobius always was a bit pathetic. The Judge doesn’t waste any more time reflecting on L1130 however – she has too many other important duties to be concerned about.
Indeed, she doesn’t think of him again until the TVA is burning around them. All of the Judge’s purpose in existence, going up in flames and she simply stares, for once truly feeling the shock. L1130 rounds the corner, followed by Mobius and a small man in bland office attire. They are all carrying weapons. There is no history between the Judge and L1130, but she swears she can see hatred in the Variant’s eyes before they open fire.
The Judge is disintegrated in an instant.

warnings: loki episode 3 spoilers!!, mistakes?
wc: 2k
Today has been a hectic day so far. First started off with a few minute-men,Mobius and Loki alongside you going to Alabama 2050 to try to catch the variant in an apocalypse but went downhill when you got enchanted by the variant and then got passed out. The only thing you can remember was being picked up bridal style and carried through a portal going to the TVA. Once Loki followed the variant and ended up in the TVA he gently woke you up telling you to follow him. Loki grabbed his daggers from the locker hunter b-15 stored.
Following Loki through the halls of the TVA, minute-men on the ground passed out, or they looked passed out. When you caught up with the variant, Loki and her started to fight. Loki got thrown, you tried to stop her before she killed him. Throwing a few punches here and there, and dodging a few you wrapped your legs around her neck and flipped her to the ground were you grabbed Loki’s dagger and brought it to her throat leaving her defenseless. out of breath you opened your mouth to say something but was interrupted by Ravonna and two minute men on both of her sides with those look alike glow sticks. While you looked up at Ravonna, the variant got a hold of the dagger and flipped you on the group about to stab you but Loki came up from behind her and got the TemPad and opened another portal underneath all of you and fell through.
You ended up on a moon called Lamentis-1 2077 where a planet was going to destroy everything and everyone. The TemPad is dead and needs to be charged but in order to charge it, it needs to have a lot of energy. You found out the variant is now named Sylvie or wants to be called that. You still didn’t trust her since she tried to kill you multiple times but yet again you fell in love with a man just like that. You found out that there is an ark where people are getting on in order to escape this coming disaster. You will have to take a train to get there.
Loki disguised himself to look like one of the men guards and took you and Sylvie as “hostages” to Shuroo by orders. One of the men in charge of looking at tickets wasn’t buying all of that and just as your cover was about to be blown, Sylvie touched his arm and enchanted him so you could board the train. And that’s how you ended up here, on the train going to the ark to charge the TemPad to get back to the TVA.
The doors slowly opened, and stepping inside the train there were people that you could tell were high class. The walls were green and there was a small bar in the middle and all around the room were tables with booths. “Good evening, passengers. Hi.” Loki said to everyone while still holding you and Sylvie by the arms. Sylvie sits down in a booth, and you follow by sitting on the opposite side of her.
“Um-“ Loki starts hesitantly, “Uh look, I can't go backwards on a train.” You snickered at that trying to cover it with a cough. Loki looks at you glaring but with a small smile rolling his eyes before Sylvie starts to talk.
“Well, I never sit with my back to the door.” She says, turning her head away.
You scoff, “what? there are doors on both sides.” Loki said, looking around.
“Oh, just sit down.” you told Loki, grabbing his arm and yanking him to your side.
There was little silence before Sylvie spoke up. “FYI that wasn’t even a plan.”
“Oh really?” replied Loki. “plans have multiple steps, dressing as a guard and getting on a train is just doing a thing.” said Sylvie with a scoff.
Loki shifts his jaw, and about to open his mouth but is interrupted by you.
“Oh, are you a bit tired? feel free to, you know, get some rest.” you tell Sylvie after you see her yawning.
She glared at you before grunting and rolling her eyes. “I can't sleep in a place like this.”
“You can’t sleep on a train.?'' Loki asks. “No, I can’t sleep around untrustworthy people.” she replies leaning over the table staring Loki right in the eye. “Oh right, is that me?” “You feel free to take a nap.” “No you can.” “I already told you I can't.” “Right because untrustworthy people.” you had enough of their bickering.
“Shut it!” you whispered and shouted at the pair. they both stopped and looked at you. ”Just shut it.” you tell them again before leaning back and taking a deep breath.
Sylvie looks out the window while Loki keeps staring at you. “What?” he doesn’t respond, he just keeps looking at you. “Why are you staring at me like that?” you ask. He just smiles and taps his shoulder, motioning for you to lay your head on him. You comply and lay your head on his shoulder while he grabs one of your hands and holds it under the table before he kisses your head.
Seconds later you fall into a deep slumber. Loki looks down at you with a loving smile thinking how lucky he is to have you even if your relationship isn’t a romantic one. He tore his gaze from you to Sylvie, “So, where’d you learn to do the..” Loki motioning his hands while he speaks. “You know, the… whatever i-“ “I taught myself” Sylvie interrupted Loki, knowing what he’s asking.
Loki's eyes went wide. “You taught yourself?” he asked in disbelief.
“Yeah I did.”Sylvie replied, shaking her head.
“Do you just go into their minds and project some sort of illusion?”
“It’ll be easier if i just-“ bringing her hands to Loki’s head.
“Enchant me and take the TemPad and lead me out of the train? No thank you.” Loki tells her slapping her hands away but being careful so he doesn’t wake you.
“Well then don’t ask.” Sylvie leans back with an emotionless expression.
“You almost woke up y/n by the way.” Loki informs her, looking down at you sleeping still.
“Did not.” “Did to” “Did not” “Did to” “Not” “To” “Not” “T-“ they were interrupted by you stirring a little bit while still asleep. Loki let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding before getting the last word in. “Did to.”
A lady comes by the table a few seconds later asking if anyone wants champagne. “Champagne?”
“Ah yes, thank you very much.” Loki says to the lady without hesitation.
The lady moves over to Sylvie where she replies with a dull answer, “No i’m good thanks” with no emotion.
“Oh i’ll take hers, thank you” Loki grabs the other glass of champagne and with that the lady walks away. Sylvie looks at Loki with a raised eyebrow, questioning him.
“For y/n when they wake up” Loki says knowing what Sylvie was asking about.
“Cheers,” Loki says, clinking the two glasses together, “To the end of the world.” Loki takes a sip.
“I pity the old woman who chose to die, don’t you think?”
“She was in love.”
“Mmm-, she hated him”
“Maybe love is hate” Sylvie replies back smirking.
Loki conjures a quill and paper. “What was that? ‘love is… love is hate.’”
“Oh, piss off!”
Loki makes the items disappear before going back to the subject of love while pouring your glass of champagne to his.
“Is there a lucky beau waiting for you at the end of this crusade?” Loki asks while raising the glass to his lips.
“Yeah there is actually.” She responds easily.
“Oh,” Loki takes a sip.
“Managed to maintain a quite a serious long-distance relationship with a postman while running across time from one apocalypse to the another.” Sylvie says sarcastically.
Loki chuckles lightly, “Witch charm like that who could resist you?” Loki jokes.
Sylvie smiles a little looking down before looking up at Loki, “How about you? wait, don't answer that you have y/n.”
Loki's eyes went wide,“What? I-I dont- me and y/n we aren’t together.” Loki is a stuttering mess.
“You aren’t? Really? I don't buy that.” Sylvie says slightly surprised. “Y’all are practically in love with each other, I keep catching you staring at them and vice versa. Y’all have the love look in your guys eyes when one looks at the other, quite frankly it’s sickening.” Sylvie says, gagging a little but smiling.
Loki turns red after he hears that. Has he really been that obvious of his staring problem? Has he really been that oblivious to not notice you staring at him? Do you know he stares at you? Do you feel the same as him? No you couldn’t possibly feel the same- could you?
Loki's brain was hurting from overthinking and asking himself over and over again if there is a chance you could feel the same as he does for you. Loki takes a deep breath before looking at you then back up at sylvie.
“Why don’t you tell them?” Sylvie asks before he has a chance to speak.
Loki thinks for a moment, remembering something he read that stuck with him, “‘Friendship Or Love... It's really hard to choose, though sometimes friendship ends in love. If romance ends, it's hard to return to friendship.’ but also ‘Over thinking ruins you, ruins the situation, twists things around and just makes everything much worse than what it actually is’ do you know the two people who said that?”
Sylvie shakes her head no. “Two wise unknown people said that. Not knowing that their words would relate to almost everyone who is in love with their best friend but doesn’t want to ruin the friendship if something happens.” Loki is rubbing his thumb on your hand looking down at your sleeping figure. “To answer your question ‘why don’t I tell them?’ it’s because I overthink and because I don’t want to ruin something so great just because I want something more. I would rather stay friends forever than get into a relationship not knowing if it will last forever.” Loki says honestly.
Sylvie doesn’t say anything for a few seconds and just looks between you and Loki. “That's with every relationship.” Loki looks up, encouraging her to continue. “Whether it's friendship or a romantic relationship you don’t know if it will last forever. no one does.” Sylvie laughs a little , “Not even the time keepers. you know why? because they can’t decide your future for you, no one can, only you.”
“The timekeepers know everything.”
“Do they? Then why are you here? They didn’t know you would change the timeline and come here did they? The time keepers didn’t plan on having you at the TVA. So who says they know everyone's futures? Because from the looks of it, they don’t know everything that happens in the future.” Sylvie finished with a sigh.
Loki stares at Sylvie, surprised that they had this conversation with each other even though not even 24 hours ago they were trying to kill each other and now they are talking about love and being honest and open.
Sylvie shakes her head before clearing her throat, “I need to get rest so you do your thing and i’ll do mine got it?” Loki nods and Sylvie gets comfortable and closes her eyes.
Loki just sits there looking at you before him, getting comfortable himself with your head still on his shoulder, closing his eyes and letting rest take over him in a matter of seconds.
You open your eyes looking at Sylvie before looking at Loki, slightly shocked because of two things. One they had a full conversation that didn’t include any arguing or childlike behavior and two you just heard your best friend talk about his love for you.

The Void
Being killed by the mad titan, that was one thing. But being ‘pruned’ by the TVA was another. When Loki had been pruned by Renslayer, he had woken up in a place unknown. At first, he thought that he was dead, and that he was in hell. But… Turns out, he was somewhere else entirely. It was called The Void. This was the place where the TVA sent its Varients who were found guilty of committing a crime against the sacred timeline. It was also where things ended up when the TVA reset the timeline. The TVAs dumping grounds. This place was very dangerous. Especially for those who weren’t skilled in magic, or fighting. But luckily for Loki, he was skilled in both. Surely he have some chance of survival? After all, he now had the guidance of the unexpected. Other Varients of himself who had ended up here just like him. The other Loki’s stood around him. Old Loki, Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and…Alligator Loki. The purple sky rumbled loudly. This definitely wasn’t the place to be. They would need to get back to shelter as soon as they could.
With his bag thrown over his shoulder, Old Loki sighs. “We should get moving.” He looked at the others. Of course, TVA Loki was still trying to process all of this. I mean, other versions of him? One being a child, and a reptile? It was absurd. Absolutely absurd! But considering TVA Loki didn’t quite understand where he was, he had to entrust in his other Varients to lead the way. TVA Loki huffed. “Well… Lead the way.” He told them.
The other Loki’s were about to lead TVA Loki, but Boastful Loki looked around. “Wait… Where is she?”
“I’m sorry?” TVA Loki quizzed.
Boastful Loki huffed. “She’s done disappeared on us again.” He looked at Old Loki, Kid Loki, and Alligator Loki. Kid Loki rolled his eyes. “Why did you expect? She likes to wonder off. I say we leave her, she’ll find her way back on her own.” TVA Loki stared, completely puzzled. Who was she? Who the hell were they talking about? TVA Loki shakes his head. “She? Who is she? Who are we talking about here?”
Old Loki looked back up at the sky, it rumbled once more. He exhaled. “We’re not leaving her behind, it’s too dangerous out here.” He told them. Old Loki looked around, his eyes scanning their surroundings. “She’s around, I know she didn’t go too far off.”
“She’s stupid for wondering off at all.” Kid Loki protested. “If we leave her to fend for herself, she’ll learn her lesson, the way I see it.”
Shut up.” Boastful Loki remarked. “Maybe you’re the one we should leave behind?” He rolled his eyes. Kid Loki could definitely be a pain in the ass to deal with at times. Boastful Loki gripped his makeshift hammer, his weapon in hand. He too scanned their surroundings. “Y/Ns a clever girl.” He nods. TVA Loki narrowed his eyes. Y/N, huh? Just who was this Y/N that they were speaking of? “Besides, its not like she couldn’t handle herself. She’s a hell of a fighter, she won’t go down without a fighter that’s for damn sure.”
TVA Loki grits his teeth. “Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on here?! Who is Y/N?!”
“An idiot.” Kid Loki laughs. Kid Loki yelled when he felt something sharp stick into his side. It wasn’t enough to draw blood, but enough for him to feel pain. “Hey!” He exclaimed, and in confusion.
“You’re the idiot.” A voice spoke.
All of the Loki’s heads turn when Y/N had appeared out of nowhere beside Kid Loki. She had used a invisibility spell to cloak herself while she had scounter the area to make sure they weren’t being watched. She had just returned to hear Kid Loki’s comment about her. Boastful Loki couldn’t help but let out a laugh. “There she is.”
“One, that hurt. Two, where the hell you’d run off to?” Kid Loki quizzed. Y/N placed her dagger back in its holster. At first, she didn’t answer. She gaze turned from him, to TVA Loki. Her eyes grew wide at the sight of him. Though, she was quick to break the gaze. “I was making sure no one was tailing us.” She finally answered. She then looked to Old Loki, her brows furrowed. “Another one?” Old Loki huffed, nodding his head. TVA Loki couldn’t help but stare at the so called Y/N. He studied her. She was fairly young, a teenager. The girls Y/H/C was pulled up into a tight ponytail out of her face. The girl wore an armored leather outfit, much similar to what Lady Sif would wear. The girl had a dagger holstered at her waist. TVA Lokis eyes grew wide. “Hold on a minute. Is she…a Loki?” He quizzed. “A teenage girl is a Loki?” This of course could only earn a laugh from Boastful Loki. He shakes his head. “Oh heavens no. Not even close.” He then looked to Y/N. “No offense, love.” Y/N could simply shrug her shoulders lightly in reply. It was hard these days for her to actually be offended by either of the Loki’s.
“Not even close? Then who the hell is she?” TVA glared at Y/N. If she wasn’t a Loki, then why was here with other Loki’s? “It’s a long story.” Old Loki remarked. “One we don’t have time for. At least, now here of all places. We should get back to shelter.” He told the group of Loki’s, and Y/N. Y/N nods her head in agreement. All the others seemed to agree with Old Loki’s idea as well. Taking shelter was best.
So, Y/N and the Loki Varients headed for shelter.
~~
The entire walk back to shelter had been taken in silence, well expect for the few times that TVA Loki had asked them a bunch of questions. Aside from that, they all choose to keep their mouths shut. After what seemed like forever, that all arrived at their unground bunker which that had been hiding out in. Boastful Loki unlocked the door, and pulled it up and open. He looked to Y/N. “Ladies first.” He stepped aside, allowing the young girl to enter before them. Y/N simply thanked Boastful Loki with the nod of her head, before getting onto the ladder, and begins to crawl down in the hideout. Soon after she got inside the bunker, the others filed inside as well. They were all extremely tired, and were need of rest. Once they were in in the bunker, Boastful Loki closed the door behind them. “Home sweet home.” He grinned, walking over towards a chair. He would never get tired of this place. “Yes….home.” Old Loki huffed. Boastful Loki and Old Loki both took seats in chairs aside one another. Alligator Loki had slid down a slide, and into a small pool of water. Kid Loki had placed himself in the chair which was considered his throne.
As for Y/N, she had wondered over to the corner of the room. In the corner of the room, was a small makeshift bed on the floor. Her bed. And stacked beside the makeshift bed was a bunch of books. Some of them had been placed there, and some books were sitting on top. There was also a pile of food that she’d scavenged for dinner, along with a bunch of blankets. “Finally…” Y/N muttered, as she took a seat down on her bed.
TVA Loki remained standing, his hands resting on his hips. “So…This is where you live?”
“Yep.” Boastful Loki nods. “I know it’s not paradise, but it’s certainly a lot more comfortable than being out there.” He sunk down in his chair Old Loki nods in agreement. “And it’s much safer than being out there in the storm.”
TVA Loki nodded, looking at his surroundings. “That is true. Safe is good isn’t it?” He spotted a spare seat, and decided that he too would sit down. Honestly, he had so many questions about this place, the other Loki’s, and especially about the young girl that was with them. Who was she? Why was she here? TVA Loki exhaled, clasping his hands together. “So… This Y/N, who is she exactly?” He quizzed. He was genuinly curious. “I mean, she’s a Varient that’s given. But if she’s not one of us, then who is she, what’s her story?”
Old Loki leaned in. “Her story?”
“Yes.” TVA Loki nods. “I mean, if she’s here than it means she’s caused some sort of nexus event.” TVA Loki looked at Y/N. The teenager was sitting on her bed, twirling her dagger between her fingers. Kid Loki sat on his throne, sipping from a juice box, his feet up. He looked at the other Loki’s. “Duh, isn’t that obvious? We all caused a nexus event. It’s how the TVA found us in the first place.” Boastful Loki could only let out a groan. That kid was getting on his last nerve. But to be fair, he was a Loki. He wouldn’t put it past him to say something like that.
TVA Loki looked back. “What’s her nexus event?” He sighs. “What crime did she commit?”
Boastful Loki and Old Loki shared a look. Old Loki sighs. “It’s very intriguing, to say the least.” He sat up a little. “We can’t say for certain that she was guilty of anything. Maybe, she was just unfortunate.” TVA Loki pressed his lips together. “I can’t imagine what she could have possible done to be sent to this place. She’s just a kid.”
“That may be true, but we all know the TVA doesn’t give a damn. Kid or not, they saw her as a criminal.” Boastful Loki pointed out. “They took her from her timeline, sentenced her, and casted her out to this place.” He shakes his head, feeling digust. TVA Loki exhaled. From what Sylvie had told him, and seeing Y/N and Kid Loki here, that statement seemed to be true. The TVA had no care for children whatsoever. A Varient was a Varient in their eyes. They had a job to complete, no matter the cost. “How long has she been here with all of you?” TVA Loki asked. Kid Loki looked over at them, still sipping the juice. His head peered up. “Too long.” He groaned. Y/Ns head turned, looking over at Kid Loki. Typical. She shakes her head, before turning her attention back to the dagger in her hand.
“For quite a while, actually.” Old Loki responds. “She’s been here for a long time. Almost as long as us.” TVA Loki nods, but titled his head. He sat up in his seat a little.
“How did you meet her?” He asked.
“Pretty simple, actually.” Boastful Loki replied. “We were out looking for supplies, when we spotted her laying unconscious. We made a decision together. We brought her back here, so she’d be safe. When she woke she was frantic. Scared and confused. Upset even.” TVA Loki nods as Boastful Loki explained to him. “Once she calmed down, we began to ask her questions. She then explained what happened to her, with the TVA.” He then let’s out a faint laugh. “Turns out she has quite the past. But not just any past, a past with us.”
TVA Loki blinked. “I beg your pardon?” He shakes his head. “What do you mean?”
Old Loki shrugged his shoulders. “I’m not sure we’re really entitled to be the one to tell you. It’s…personal.” He told him. TVA Loki’s brows furrowed upwards. Personal? That only made him have more questions. “Personal? But what does that mean, exactly?” He stared at them.
“If you want to know so badly, then ask her.” Kid Loki remarked. “I’m sure she’d be happy to tell you all out it, isn’t that right, Y/N?” He looked at her, and snickered. Y/N looked up. “What?” She had placed her dagger down on the floor beside her. “What did you just say?” Kid Loki smirked, hopping out of his seat. He walked over to the corner of the room where Y/N was, stopping a few feet away from her. “You might as well tell him about your past since he’s here.” Y/N clenched her jaw. That was none of his business. Sometimes she regretted ever telling them about her past life, her life before the TVA had come after her. She stood to her feet. “Shut up, no I don’t. Besides that’s none of your business.” She sneered.
“You’re just too scared, Y/N. You’re too much of a coward to say anything.” Kid Loki told her. “You’re just a scared little girl.” Boastful Loki laughs. “Oh here we go.”
“I’m not scared.” Y/N defended. “You don’t know anything about me.” TVA Loki was taken back by the young girls sudden outburst of anger. “So why don’t you just shut it, and go back sitting around and doing nothing.” Old Loki groans. “You two, come on now. Now isn’t the time for one of your arguments. We’re all just very tired, and we need rest.” He reminded. Y/N looked away, crossing her arms over her chest. Kid Loki laughs. “Look at her, looking away. She knows I’m right.” Kid Loki turned to the other Loki’s. “She’s scared of telling the truth, because she’s scared she’ll get attached. To him.” Kid Loki pointed at TVA Loki. This could only make TVA Loki titled his head. “Why would she get attached to me? I’ve never met her in my life, she doesn’t know me.” TVA Loki countered. Boastful Loki and Old Loki shared that same expression. They knew where this conversation was going. Boastful Loki sighs again. “Actually… That’s where you’re wrong.”
“She does know you.” Kid Loki nods. “But just not this version of you.”
“What are you talking about?” TVA Loki blinks.
Y/N could her feel stomach in knots. She didn’t want this conversation to happen, not now. Why couldn’t they just let it go? “Please… Don’t.”
“I said that she has a personal connection with us.” Old Loki began. Y/N closed her eyes. She didn’t want this to happen, but what point would there be in trying to stop it? The truth being told. Regardless, the truth would come out. “Yes. Which is exactly what I don’t understand!” TVA Loki protested. “You say she has a personal connection, but what do you mean? Have we done something to wrong her? Killed someone she loved? I don’t understand.” He exclaimed. Y/N remained where she was, not wanting to move an inch. She kept her distance from them.
“Quite the opposite actually.” Old Loki remarked. “She is from another timeline. In this timeline, she is from Asgard.” TVA Loki stared. So she was another Asgardian much like them? Okay, but that still left him clueless. “So she’s Asgardian?” He shakes his head. “Great.” Though there was sarcasm in his tone. “That still doesn’t answer my question. How is she connected to us?”
“She’s-“ Kid Loki began. Y/N opened her eyes, and swallowed. It was better if she just came out and said it. It had to be HER would spoke the words, not one of them. “Daughter.” Was all she could manage to say.
TVA Loki paused. “What?” Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and Old Loki all went dead silent. They hadn’t expected for her to say it. None of them had. Y/N felt the tears in the back of her eyes. From the second she saw TVA Loki, she wanted to tell him. Where she was from, who she was to him. But in the back of her mind, she knew she couldn’t tell him. What would be the point? He had just been another Varient of Loki. The only difference between him and the other Loki’s, was he looked like HER Loki. See.. Y/N was in fact Loki’s daughter, but not by blood. Y/N had been adopted by Loki as a small child, and raised in the palace with the help of Loki’s mother Frigga, and his brother Thor. Asgard had been her home. Loki had been her family. “My daughter?” TVA Loki quizzed.
“Yes.” Y/N replied, barely audible.
TVA Loki went silent. He needed a moment to comprehend this. This was…insane. A part of him wanted to believe that this had all been some sort of illusion. An illusion meant to distract him, catch him off guard. But, had it? By the way the girl reacted, could it be a trick?
“My…daughter.” TVA Loki repeated. He felt a lump in his throat. “D-daughter?” Y/N nodded slowly. “Daughter. As in…my daughter from another timeline?” Y/N nodded again. TVA Loki stared at her in shock, his mouth opening slightly to speak, but nothing came out. “Th…This is…this is insane!” He then burst into laughter. “Honestly. I’ve seen a lot of tricks and illusions in my lifetime. But this is…this is the craziest!”
“It isn’t a trick, or an illusion.” Old Loki replied. ”The girl speaks only the truth.”
“Maybe that’s what she wants?” TVA Loki pointed out. “She wants you to believe this trick, this game that she’s been playing with you. Right? If you’re really all Loki’s, you’d clearly see that.”
Y/Ns expression dropped. He didn’t believe her? She looked down. She should have expected this, right? After all, he was a Loki. “I’m not lying…”
“We believe her.” Kid Loki replied. “Besides we’re all trapped in this prison. What would be the point of her lying to us?” Boastful Loki and Old Loki nod their heads in agreement. They knew Y/N had only told them the truth since arriving here. She was always truthful. No matter what. TVA Loki shook his head. “I….You can’t be serious. There’s a chance this is all a lie. Or a dream! Or something! She’s playing a game with you in order to survive.” TVA Loki looked at Y/N. “Right? You deceive them, because it’s your only way of survival. Because unless you lie, you know you’ll die here, isn’t that it?” He quizzed her.
Y/N looked back up. “I…I’m being honest.”
TVA Loki narrowed his eyes at her. “Is that so?” Y/N nods her head. She would do anything to prove it to him. She had nothing to hide. “I…I get that you don’t want to believe me.” She understood that learning such a thing wouldn’t be easy to process. And he didn’t want to let his guard down, he didn’t want to be deceived. Y/N sighed. “I wouldn’t either. I won’t lie. But you must trust me when I say that I am telling the truth. Please…please let me show you.” Y/N begged. “Please.” She begged. TVA Loki stared at her. He wanted to deny her, push her away, laugh it off and walk away. Not believe her, not trust her. It was because he couldn’t ever imagine any version of him being a parent. It didn’t suit him. He could hardly look after himself, and his own needs. Being responsible for someone else’s wasn’t in his nature. But yet, somehow, he found himself wanting to believe Y/N. Something inside him, was pulling him towards her. To believe what she says. His heart tells him to. But his mind and logic, tells him not to.
“Give her a chance.” Boastful Loki nods. “We all did.”
TVA Loki takes a deep breath. He didn’t like to open himself up, let alone to a girl who was a complete and total stranger. But he had the feeling the other Loki’s wouldn’t let him go about this. Not until he gave her a chance. Not until he could see for himself if what the girl had claimed was the truth. That she was his daughter in an alternate timeline. “All right.” He agreed. “If you truly are my daughter. Then prove it.”
“Don’t worry, I will.” Y/N whispered softly. The minute those words left Y/N’s lips, she knew that she could never take them back.
All she could hope for now was that she could prove it to him….

EDIT: so I started writing this like a week ago, but honestly the finale killed any desire in me to interact with this show in a fannish way. So have these half assed notes. I think it's obvious where I lost steam. These ideas are free for use for anyone who wants them in fic, have at you. As it is, I don't think I'll interact with this show as a fan any further than this.
How I would write a Loki show in bullet points (and a mishmash of short scenes and dialogue, let's be honest) for my sanity!
Presuming some disney exec came down from on high and forced the inclusion of EG!Loki and the TVA (because otherwise it'd be IW!Loki that survived and it'd be all about him finding his best life away from Earth, Asgard, Thor and the whole Thanos/EG situation. Or if I only had to include the TVA, it'd be IW!Loki dealing with the TVA, not EG!Loki):
Fair warning: this will likely be a mess since I'm not entirely motivated to not have it be so.
[cut for length]
Ep1:
- Loki escapes to Nidavelir and uses the tools there to get rid of the chains and muzzle. A CONTROLLED use of the Tesseract, thankyouverymuch
- the TVA comes for him and Loki is wary and on the alert, exhausted from the whole Avengers thing so he immediately makes a clone to interact with the TVA and observes from afar
- the TVA fall for it when they try to bitchslap him like in the show, but immediately regroup when it goes through the illusion and start a search pattern. Their tech can scan for his temporal aura and they close in on Loki quickly (show the TVA as at least somewhat competent or they're shit antagonists for Loki)
- Loki, who still has hold of the Tesseract, portals out of there
- what follows is a quick chase scene across multiple planets and realms, but the TVA are always on his heels. The longest time they take to find him is during an ongoing apocalypse on a random planet that's enough for Loki to get a quick breather. but you know, disaster's on the horizon, so he has to leave eventually. but this is the first clue both we as an audience and Loki get about potential hiding places.
- when an exhausted Loki finally turns to fight, he manages to take several minutemen out  (justifying B-15's hate on for him) before one of them gets in a lucky shot and freezes him
- "Who are you people?" [short flash of Loki's eyes flashing green and the entire scene getting a strange cast, floating energy swirling around everything. It's beautiful, but the TVA people's energy is out of sync, out of touch and strangely jagged compared to their surroundings]
- they slap the collar on him and march him into the TVA
- Loki immediately tries to pull the same illusion trick but it doesn't work cause no magic in the TVA (maybe some visual indication of what he's trying to do, but it doesn't go past his skin. You know, like Sylvie managed in ep 3 -.-)
- he doesn't wildly panic, but we see his breathing speed up and he immediately looks at his left hand and relaxes when he sees it isn't turning blue.
- okay so the TVA have caught him, he's on their shit list, no magic, exhausted, no idea what's going on, who these people are or how powerful they are - he chooses to play nice for now and bide his time
- the whole intake process is spent in quiet observation mode, only speaking when spoken to
- discomfort at being out of his clothes, but maybe only a wry joke about them wanting to strip him naked (making him a participant in all the thirst jokes)
- he doesn't ask if a lot of people don't know they're robots like a child wanting validation and he's not visibly afraid. Instead, we see him look at his hand again and try for wry humor when asking. But he steps into the device without much hesitation. It's death vs certainty and we already know he's chosen death once before.
- the propaganda cartoon is much shorter and plays in the background so we can see Loki's incredulous eyebrow raise at it. the ticket thing gets an eyeroll, but ready compliance since it's not worth it to argue
- when he sees the other guy get "pruned", he immediately reaches for the ticket to reassure himself it's there, but doesn't wave it around triumphantly, just sighs in relief
- trial can stay mostly unchanged, just no stupid magic attempt in the middle
"It's not your story, Mr. Laufeyson, it never was" (AND THIS SHALL BE PROVEN FALSE, you know, unlike in the show where it turned out to be their fucking mission statement) also, Loki gives her murder eyes for calling him that
- in fact, instead of trying magic, Loki holds up the controller he stole from  B-15 as she was escorting him to the trial and waves as he disappears through a door backwards
After that scene is the church scene with bodies, establishing Mobius as a hunter of dangerous variants. Someone is killing TVA officers
Mobius gets called back as in canon, but arrives too late to stop our Loki from leaving
Sidenote: Loki still has the tesseract since it was in his pocket dimension during the fight the TVA nabbed him in
Ep 2:
- it's now a few days/weeks later. Loki is back in his own clothes, a simpler outfit not geared for war. He's in the biggest library in the universe, the depository of almost all knowledge, looking for information about the TVA. there is Nothing, suspiciously so
- once again, the TVA shows up and he has to run yet again. maybe he kills this team too, to buy himself more time. he steals a melt stick and more time pads and reset charges
- he needs more information and the only place he'll get it is at the TVA it seems, so he shapeshifts into his female form, dressed as one of the many paperpushers at the TVA and we see her being relieved that the spelled clothing is holding once she passes through the time door
(another aside, but ideally the female form is more like Eva Green or Katie McGrath. AND NOT BLONDE)
- acting like she belongs, Loki effortlessly manages to snoop around the TVA for a few hours
- there's only one close call with C-20, but Loki manages to deflect suspicion by parroting the motto at her, which Loki reads from a nearby propaganda poster (cause Loki is good at lying, manipulation and flying by the seat of their pants)
- eventually, she ends up at the archive area and begins researching. We see that Loki is competent at this and is quick to pick up the filing system. the variant number from the papers she signed the episode before becomes relevant to finding the appropriate files
- before she can dig too deep into her own life story as laid out by these people, just as she finds the Ragnarok Report, Mobius finds her (maybe there was a silent alarm triggered by unauthorized access or something. Slightly more competent TVA)
- there is a scene where Mobius and Loki play a game of chicken and manipulation, wordplay and lying until it becomes clear Mobius knows who Loki is (actually establishing some camaraderie)
- Loki gets a little hoisted by their own petard since they're enjoying the banter so much, the backup Mobius called for catches them a little off guard, collared again
- since info gathering is still the name of the game, Loki doesn't try to get away just yet
(during this entire scene, Mobius is the same offhandedly condescending prick he is in canon, but it's very obviously framed that way)
(also featuring confirmation of the genderfluidity thing because fuck you disney)
M: "Nice disguise. Really had me fooled for a second there."
L: "It's hardly a disguise. I am always myself."
[Loki shifts back to male, though the clothes remain the same (shifting =/= magic)]
M: "Yeah, well, next time you want to go undercover at the TVA, maybe don't choose a face we already have from several other of your variants."
[Loki twitches a little, since that wasn't a form he openly wore a lot (even when he wanted to) cause Asgard is a dick about shifting genders]
L: "And how does that work exactly?"
M: "Got your entire life on file, buddy. But you know, sometimes Asgard isn't a complete stick in the mud the day you gather enough courage to show up to dinner in a dress. We usually have to prune those timelines quickly."
[Loki's grin is more like a snarl, frozen on his face, since he picks up the implications loud and clear (the implication being that him being too happy is not allowed in the Sacred Timeline)]
M: [picks up the files Loki was looking at] "Come on, I've got something to show you."
-cue time theater scene
-that little scene of looking out at the TVA does not feature Loki being impressed or awed at the TVA's tech. It features him being scared/uneasy because the TVA is completely dead to his senses. Loki's eyes do the same flash as before, but everything is completely dull, no energy anywhere. He can barely see some swirls on his own arms]
-Loki asks why this charade, Mobius tells him the TVA is willing to come to an agreement with Loki for his help
"You're not the only one running around messing up the Sacred Timeline. Come on, job interview time."
(it's really really not)
- Mobius tries the same schtick as before, but it's both less and more effective. Less cause Loki has had a bit more time to collect himself since the invasion, more cause he's more aware of the TVA's power and has been chased by them for a while now
- we see Loki being affected by the Frigga thing BUT he also picks up how edited the reel is
- still, he lets Mobius do the "only thing you're good for" bit until we see him look up with murder in his eyes, even through the tears
- "I am going to burn this place to the ground and I am going to start with you. That is my bargain."
"Yeah, cause your "bargains" [Mobius full on air quotes here] work out so well for you," he says, offering Loki a hand up
-cue alarm and Mobius rushing out
-Loki grabs the files Mobius left behind, and also the tape in the hologram projector and escapes
- no infinity stones scene, cause Loki still has the Tesseract and doesn't go to look for more
- cut to the TVA running around in a panic, multiple branches forming on the displays. It's the same bombing plot as in the show, but now serving as a distraction for Loki to get away
- when they figure this out, Ravonna: "You should have just pruned him when you found him. There's a reason we don't reset Loki variants. Our luck always runs out eventually with them. Fix this, Mobius. Or you'll have to answer to the TimeKeepers."
- back to Loki, he steps out into chaos as something explodes behind him. He's in another apocalypse. During his running from the TVA, he noticed it takes them longer to find him whenever there's a lot of chaos around him, death and destruction. He finds a still intact building, seems high tech. Everyone else has already evacuated
- he takes the Tesseract out and blue and green energy surges around him and engulfs the building. It's suddenly quiet and we see outside the windows are pitch black
- Loki quickly looks away
"Finally, some peace and quiet."
He slumps down to the floor, files scattered around him, tesseract nearby and curls up, dejected and exhausted
Side note: Loki doesn't need to worry about recharging tempads since he has the tesseract, which was established in Avengers as able to provide infinite energy
Ep 3:
- he finds out about the variants in this episode, maybe goes looking for other variants before the TVA finds them
-how Loki finds out the TVA are all variants: he'd knocked out B-15 for a bit to interrogate her
-they're found by another team of minutemen, led by B-16, who is wearing B-15's face. Several of the other minutemen we've seen Loki kill in earlier episodes as well. They attack *both* of them cause they assume B-15 is compromised. Loki and B-15 work together and kill the whole lot, staring at each other incredulously
"You're Variants! You're all Variants!"
[B-15 collapses to her knees in shock]
End episode
EDIT: My basic idea for episodes 4 & 5 were Loki and B-15 working together and travelling through various timelines trying to get to the TimeKeepers, but realizing something was wrong the further they went. Time begins breaking down, paradoxes are all over the place and the TVA keeps pruning some specific place so much that sometimes two teams are on top of each other. Stuff like that.
I also had a few scenes where Loki meets other variants (that aren't him), but who actually like and even love him. Men, women, variations thereupon, and one or two who would mistake Loki for their Loki. So we get bi confirmation without actually including romance in the show itself, because 6 episodes isn't enough to develop that along with everything else that's going on.
Vaguely outlined here:
My "how to include the bi thing without the main story being a romance and also indicating that Loki is able to be liked and loved by people who aren't just variants of himself, please and thank you":
(note to self, rewrite this so it makes sense lol EDIT: lol, don't feel like it so this is all you get, folks!)
a variant significant other, male: kisses Loki
Loki: You are clearly my type, but I'm sorry. I'm not him.
[heartbroken expression on the variant]
from another timeline Loki visits:
woman holding a sword to his head after looking at him suspiciously: Change back!
Loki: Into who?!
woman: Her!
[Loki shapeshifts into his female self]
woman lets go of the sword
"You escaped! When Odin took you away, I thought he would kill you. Why did you never come back to me, my love?"
EDIT: My "twist" ending was that the Time Keepers were dead, not that they never existed. Some sort of mcguffin exists to just break the whole TVA and free the timelines. Idk, maybe the TVA was just a test to see if it'd work, but the system just kept perpetuating itself after the power hungry losers kept it going beyond the bounds of the experiment. Either way:
villain plot twist: the time keepers are long dead. the TVA is a terrible system that perpetuated itself on its own, only a few judges were aware that the timekeepers had ever died. The entire System Has To Go (lol like disney would ever go there)
The system is literally Killing the Universe, since the universe's natural state of being is a multiverse. But the system don't care, system don't give a shit. System only exists to perpetuate itself, system's survival is the most important, catastrophic universal failure need not apply
(this is way too on the nose for disney, but since this rewrite's motto is Fuck Disney, it shall stay)
EDIT: this was how I imagined the climax of the series.
Mobius or Ravonna (i never decided): "All the chaos, all the possibilities? How can you stand the uncertainty? How can you believe the world will be any better than it is now?"
Loki: "Because it has to be!" [smashy smashy TVA]
series ends with the timeline breaking free
we see various scenes of the variants in their former lives, happy
and AU scenes of the previous movies:
Loki gets pulled up on the bridge
Loki accepts Thor's offer during the Avengers
Loki gets up on Svartalfheim, bleeding heavily, but doesn't go to Asgard but to Thor
Loki tricks Thanos during IW
Loki as an Avenger
Loki as a kid
Loki as a girl
Loki on jotunheim, fully jotun
Loki on Asgard, jotun
faster and faster, all sorts of different AU scenes until the screen goes dark and we see our Loki, smirking
"But...well, those are stories for another time."
and he steps back into the shadows.
