Cause You Had A Bad Day
Pairing: Arvin Russell x Reader
Synopsis: Arvin snaps at you after a bad day for the both of you
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Arvin came home after a rough day and just wanted to be alone. Nothing particularly horrible happened, just a bunch of little annoyances that left him irritable and tired. He hung up his jacket with a heavy sigh and went to the kitchen to get some water. You had been looking at a slip of paper with a deep frown but folded it up and set it down when you saw Arvin come in.
“Hi, honey. How was your day?” You asked as you put on a smile for him.
“Not great.” He mumbled as he took a seat at the kitchen table and poured himself some water. You immediately went over to him and put your hands on his shoulders.
“Oh, I’m sorry. What happened?” You asked as you rubbed small circles on his back.
“Don’t wanna talk about it.” Arvin mumbled and pulled away from your touch. He was feeling overstimulated already and didn’t want to be touched at the moment, but you didn’t realize that yet.
“Was it because of the heat? I was thinking bout you all day. You must’ve been sweating like a pig out there at the tar pits. Bet it was real hot, huh?”
“No. Wasn’t the heat. Just had a bad day, is all.” Arvin said and gave you a tired look. He hoped you’d see how exhausted he was and just leave him alone.
“Oh.” You nodded in understanding. “It was that one worker, wasn’t it? What was his name again? Sal? No. Was is James? Or is his name Joe? I can’t remember. But you said something bout him once after he-“
“Wasn’t a worker either. Just had a bad day, okay?” Arvin repeated, starting to get frustrated with you. For some reason, your simple questions were making his blood boil under his skin.
“I’m sorry you had a bad day, honey. Would it make you feel better if I fixed you something to eat?” You asked and tried to rub his back again. Arvin clenched his hands into fists and took a deep breath before letting them go.
“I’m not hungry. Don’t worry bout me. I just wanna be alone right now.” He told you and started to walk towards your shared bedroom.
“What about a bath? I bet that would make you feel better. Don’t you want to sit down in a nice, hot bath? I’ll draw one for you. I could even join you.” You offered as you followed him to the room. He was so annoyed from his day at work that he wasn’t even listened to what you were saying, he only knew that you were talking when he wanted silence.
“No, that’s okay. I’ll probably just take a nap or something.” He gave you a tight smile and took a seat on your bed.
“Okay. Good idea. Get some rest, honey. I’ll get started on dinner.” You told him. You took his hat off his head and kissed his forehead before leaving the room. Arvin sighed in a relief and laid down, finally getting the silence he wanted. The silence lasted about three minutes before you knocked on the doorframe.
“Hey Arvin?” You asked, making Arvins eyes fly open and remain on the ceiling.
“Do you want chicken tonight or stew? Cause I was thinking I could use the leftover chicken stock from yesterday to make a-“
“God damn it!” He cut you off and sat up in bed as he loudly slammed his fist down on the dresser beside him. You jumped a little and looked at him in confusion.
“Can you shut the fuck up for two seconds? I cannot stand the sound of your voice right now. How many god damn questions are you gonna ask me? I don’t care if you do chicken or stew or if you were hot today and I definitely don’t care about baths. I asked you to leave me alone. Why can’t you just to that? Just leave me the fuck alone!”
A silence fell between the two of you as you stared at each other across the bed room. You blinked a few times and Arvin saw your eyes well with tears before you looked down at the ground. He immediately felt guilty for yelling at you and wanted to apologize, but you started speaking first.
“Okay.” You said after a minute as you kept your eyes on your fingers while you nervously toyed with them.
“Okay?” Arvin asked in confusion. He didn’t expect such a short response after screaming so loud at you that the house shook.
“Okay, I’ll leave you alone.” You said quietly.
“Oh. All right. Thank you.” Arvin eyed you curiously, wondering why you weren’t shouting back.
“Um, I’ll just make dinner then. Sorry.” You said and quickly left the room.
Arvin tried to lay back down again but couldn’t stop thinking about what he had said. He was known to lose his temper, he had just never lost it at you like that. You’d been there to patch him up every time he let his anger get the better of him but this time, you had been the one on the receiving end. Arvin twiddled his thumb for a minute before laying down again. He tossed and turned it a few minutes before getting out of bed. He padded into the kitchen and saw you chopping vegetables on the counter.
“Baby doll?” He asked as he knocked on the doorframe to alert you to his presence. He saw you stiffen at the sound of his voice but you didn’t stop chopping up vegetables.
“What?” You asked without turning around. Arvin gulped a little, hearing that you write upset from the tone of your voice. He walked over to you and wrapped his arms around you from behind as he rested his chin on your shoulder.
“I’m sorry I shouted at you.” Arvin mumbled against the skin of your neck before placing a kiss there. You didn’t respond that time and continued with that you were doing. Arvin frowned and tried again.
“I wasn’t mad at you, darling. I was mad about everything else. I had a bad day-“
“I know.” You cut him off before moving out of his arms and going over to the sink. He watched as you filled a pot with water before slamming it down on the stove.
“I had a bad day and I snapped at you. I’m sorry.” He finished his sentence and hoped you would hear the sincerity in his voice. You stopped what you were doing suddenly and turned around the look at him.
“You know, I had a bad day too.” You told him as you folded your arms.
“What happened?” Arvin asked as his eyebrows knit together. You rolled your eyes a little before looking back down at the ground.
“Well, I went into work and found at that my boss’s son got the promotion that I’ve been working towards for months. But that’s fine. I almost expected that more them I expected the promotion. To make myself feel better, I stopped at the market on my way home. I thought I might bake something to surprise you. I accidentally bumped into this man with my cart and he screamed in my face. I got scared so I just left my cart there and walked back to my car. He followed me to scream at me some more. I just wanted to get home after that but I guess I was in too much of a hurry because Officer Bodecker pulled me over and gave me a ticket. Not before me mumbled something about how women shouldn’t be allowed on the road, of course. Then I came home. And I was so excited to to see you to tell you about my awful day. Because after everything that happened, I truly didn’t think my day could get any worse.” You said as you looked up at Arvin. He was looking at you with pity in his eyes, his guilt only doubling now that he knew the full story. You looked him up and down before shaking your head a little.
“And then my boyfriend yelled at me.” You said with a sad smile. Arvin shut his eyes and leg out a little sigh before going over to you. He put his hand on your shoulder but you didn’t look into his eyes.
“Baby doll, I am so sorry. I had no idea what kinda day you had.” He said in a soft voice.
“Would that have changed anything? Would you really have been able to control your temper?” You asked as you looked up at him. Arvin opened his mouth to respond, then shut it when he realized he didn’t have an answer. He wanted to think the answer was yes, but he couldn’t confidently tell you that. You noticed Arvins lost expression and sighed a little.
“Arvin, I know you’re tired. But I’m tired too. I’m tired of men getting to act however they want, and expect us not to react. I’ve been screamed at, purposely scared, and put down so many times just because a man near me had a bad day. Well I wanna scream too. I have bad days too.”
“I know you do, baby doll.” Arvin said and cupped your face. This time, you let him and rested your cheek in his hand.
“I’m sorry I shouted at you. I’m sorry I made your day worse. I wish I wasn’t so angry all the time. I don’t know why I’m like that. I wish I were different.”
The sadness in Arvins eyes, coupled with the genuine remorse in his voice, made you give him a sad smile. You thought about the childhood he had endured and all the reasons he had to be a perpetually angry person. You reached up and cupped Arvins face, taking him by surprise.
“I don’t wish you were different. I love you the way you are.” You told him, making his eyes soften. He wrapped his hand around your wrist and leaned into your palm.
“Please, let me make it up to you. How can I make your day better?” Arvin asked you. You thought about it for a second before a coy smile tugged at your lips.
“I can still draw that bath.”
“No, please, I don’t deserve it. You don’t have to do anything for me.” Arvin shook his head.
“I didn’t say it was just for you.” You told him as you pulled him by the shirt towards the bathroom.
A few minutes, you were sitting between Arvins legs in a warm bath with candles lit around you. Arvin scooped up some of the bubbles you had put into the tub and used them to give himself a bubble heard. You looked over your shoulder at him and laughed at what he had done.
“Do you feel better?” He asked now that he had you smiling again.
“‘Much.” You sighed happily and sunk deeper into the bath.
“I tell ya, that officer Bodecker don’t know what he’s talking about. I’m gonna go down to that station tomorrow and get that ticket cleared up.” Arvin declared.
“Aw, Arvie warvy.” You gushed. “Thanks, honey. I would appreciate that.”
“Yup. And after that, I’m gonna go to the market and get you all your favorite baking goods. You can make all the cookies and pies that can fit in our house.”
“That would be something, wouldn’t it? A whole house full of baked goods. Bet it would smell mighty fine in here.” You said as you looked over your shoulder with a smile.
“It would. And while you bake, I’m gonna make you the best damn dinner you ever did have. You won’t have to lift a finger.”
“Can you even cook, mister?” You raised an eyebrow at him.
“I’m gonna learn. I’ll hit the books right after this bath.” Arvin stated, malign you laugh again. He smiled and felt relieved to know you had forgiven him.
“What’s the rush? We can stay here all night if we want.”
“Suppose we could. But we’d get all pruny.” Arvin reminded you.
“I like prunes.” You shrugged and snuggled closer to his body. Arvin happily wrapped his arms around you and rested his chin on your head.
“You know what?” Arvin smiled. “So do I.”

ticket to ride - arvin russel | 18+ oneshot
(not my gif)
Tumblr media
“I think I’m gonna be sad
I think is today, yeah
The girl that’s driving me mad
Is goin’ away”
pairing: arvin russel x f!reader
summary: there’s nothing holding you in this city.
content warning: 18+, smut right bellow the cut, unprotected sex, angst, bad words, mentions of suicide, mentions of murder, toxic relationship, movie spoilers.
a.n: first Arvin fic! (rewatching this movie really woke something in me). dark fics aren’t really my thing but Arvin Russel is not exactly a role model of mental health so I think this fits best.
song inspiration
Arvin’s breath was totally pathless, his dick pumping hard into you while his grip on your waist got stronger every second, like he was trying to get you impossibly close to his body. If someone could see his car from the outside, the weird way it was moving could definitely denounce the activities in the back seat.
"I'm so close, baby. You're taking my cock so well." Arvin says breathlessly on your ears, knowing exactly how to get you worked up. He needs no verbal answer that it had an effect in you when feels you tight around him right after his words. "That's right, honey. Keep going like that. Shit, I love you so much."
"I love you." You kiss him deeply like life depends on it and feel the knot on your stomach getting harder to hold, finally releasing on his dick. Letting your body rest on his.
"Come with me." You say after a long moment of silence, touching the subject you both been avoiding, feeling like the air around you was unbearably heavy holding this question in. You move your body up to get him out of you and sitting by his side, still waiting for an answer, that came after a heavy sigh from the boy.
"You know I can't, baby. Not after Lenora, I can't leave my family, not now that they need me the most." You sigh. He was right, you did know that, it has been like that for months now. You had your mind made that you were leaving, then it came to going say your goodbyes to Arvin, you give it to temptation, you both end up in bed or the back of his car.
You wanted to leave this town, more than anything, this place felt like poison, taking away all your hopes to forget the past and move on with Arvin. Like living here costed all your rights to be happy, or free. What you wished that was different, was the cost that such decision had implied to you. Arvin had people who needed him, he had a family. All you had was him.
Flashbacks come to you, at high school Arvin protected you quite literally with his own damn life. Threatening anyone who dared to touch a finger his girl to loose that very finger, or they ugly damn heads. At the time, you made plans with him to run away together when you grew up. Back then, it would just be another case of kids who ran away to try life on a near town, you’d come back to visit, send letters after settled wherever. It was the perfect plan to live a perfect life.
But perfect things do not exist.
It all started to go to shit (even more) when Teagardin showed up in town. You had a bad feeling about him since the start. Lenora, in her place, she had faith in people, specially if that person was the reverend, dear lord, why would she suspect they meant any harm?
But she should.
The man had the worst of the intentions. Of course, as a figure of respect in the city, who would be crazy enough to question anything that he said or did? But again, they should’ve.
After Arvin lost her, you were fundamental for him not to break down, although you were close to an attack yourself, you knew Arvin would need all support he could get, so you provided him that. You stopped him from crossing the line when he couldn't hold it together, but now, you now selfishly wished you didn’t.
If you had killed the bastard he’d have no choice but to run away with you.
“Let’s do it,” you say to him, hovering over his warm body again “let’s put a bullet in that motherfucker’s head and then we get the hell out of here.” you grin at him facing an expression on Arvin’s face that for the first time on years you couldn’t read. “C’mon, Arvin, you almost did it before.”
“Yeah... Almost, but you yourself talked me out of it. What changed?” you chuckle, rolling your eyes.
“Everything.” you kiss his jaw and cup his face to stare him deep in the eyes. “If you’re stuck here, honey, so am I. If you say no, that’s fine, I’ll stay here, with you, as much as try my fucking best I can’t go without you.” you fix yourself to sit comfortably on his lap and continue. “But if you say yes,” you start kissing down his neck between words “we get our justice and get the fuck out, just me and you, baby,” you peck his lips “what do you say?”
You can see Arvin put up a fight with himself behind his eyes, trying to still find some moral left on his brain, deep down, he knew the only thing holding him back from doing justice with his own hands was the fear he had of letting you down, now, seeing you like this, Arvin couldn’t find a single crumble of a reason not to, the offer was too inviting.
“I say I’m with you to the end...let’s do this.” You grin proudly at your boyfriend and kiss him with passion, knowing once in for all once your plan was complete you would never step on these cursed grounds ever again.

Goth Farmer
Tumblr media
Goth: horror themes, mysterious and dark, mysterious Farmer: rural, tractors and machinery, animals, traditional
Here is my submission for @the-slumberparty's What's Your Aesthetic graphic challenge. I can't believe the slumber party is slowly coming to an end 🥺🥺 I've been having such a blast connecting with so many kind and talented creators while getting back in the writing groove. I am already looking forward to the next slumber party 😊😊
For this challenge, I got goth farmer and immediately thought of Arvin Russel. It was easy since The Devil All the Time already has southern gothic themes.

tom holland x reader
summary: rumors fly during an interview leading to a shock announcement for tom and his girlfriend
a/n: inspired by a tiktok i saw months ago and have not stopped thinking abt since i literally could not think of one panel-type event that wasnt comic-con i am so sorry flsjsjksjs
・°☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°☆
Tom shifts in his seat, running one hand through his curls as he tries to keep his face animated and stop his eyes glazing over. he's been sat on a vaguely uncomfortable chair for the last hour or so at Comic-Con, promoting his latest movie and as much as he loves his job and the fans, all he wants to do is crawl into bed and curl up next to you for a good twelve hours.
"Tom?" prompts the interviewer.
"I- I'm so sorry, what was your question?" he asks, flushing in embarrassment at being caught zoning out.
"Is Y/N here today?" repeats the interviewer patiently.
Tom grins at the mention of your name and he sits up taller, eyes scanning the crows until he finds you, hoodie pulled up over your head to hide from eagle-eyed fans.
"She is, yeah. I basically dragged her here so we could kind of spend time together, as an apology." he admits.
"An apology?" the interviewer says. "What did you do, Tom?"
"Yeah, what did you do, Tom?" echoes one of his co-stars, laughing.
"I fell asleep during our movie date." Tom admits sheepishly, shaking his head at the roar of laughter from the crowd. "Twenty minutes in, I was out cold."
"You didn't!" laughs the interviewer. "What did she do?"
"She was the absolute best, of course. She just held me and stroked my hair and wrapped me up in a blanket and then stayed on the sofa with me all night." he says, eyes crinkling at the general "awww" from the crowd.
The interviewer's eyes glint mischievously as Tom tells his story, clearly sensing a way to divert the interview to The Good Stuff™.
"So speaking of Y/N, there's been a lot of talk about you two online recently." he starts. "Specifically, engagement rumors? Is there any basis, any truth to these rumors?"
Tom shifts around as he stalls for time until he can meet your eyes in the crowd, raising his fluffy eyebrow ever so slightly to silently ask if you're okay with him talking about your relationship. You give him a tiny nod, encouraging him to go on.
"No, we're not engaged." he says. "But we've honestly never been happier than we are right now. She's so creative, and caring, and funny, and gorgeous. There's no one else I'd rather spend my life with."
You can't help but feel slightly choked up as he gushes, resisting the urge to throw off your hoodie and run up to the stage, crushing him into a bear hug and never letting go.
"WHEN ARE YOU PROPOSING?!" yells a particularly enthusiastic fan, rousing cheers from the rest of the crowd and the cast members on stage.
Tom laughs as he winks at you again.
"When I'm sure she'll say yes."
This, of course, results in almost hysterical screams (affectionate).
You pull your phone from your pocket, tapping on Tom's contact and typing out a message. He's watching you of course, so when he feels his phone buzz in his pocket he pulls it out, cheering like an excited seven year old, "I got a text! From Y/N!"
Y/N 💗: i'd marry you in a heartbeat baby <3
He blows a kiss in your direction, grinning from ear to ear. As he's distracted, gazing at you lovingly, a co-star leans over his shoulder and reads the text.
"Holy shit!" they laugh. "Did Tom Holland just get engaged?"
The screams reach an all-time record and you wince slightly, bringing a hand up to your ringing ear. Tom snatches his phone closer, rolling his eyes.
"Hold your horses!" he laughs. "Let me check."
He balances the microphone in his left hand as he types out a quick message.
tommy 🤠: Did we just get engaged??
Y/N 💗: we will be when you give me that rock hidden at the back of your sock drawer 😳
Tom's soft brown eyes crinkle around the edges as he grins all but leaps up from his chair.
"Is this interview wrapping up soon?" He asks cheekily. "I've got to go get engaged."

Bambi’s pov:
“Such a good girl.”
Good.
Girl.
The praise he had given just before he left, had invaded every part of your mind leaving you in a cloudy state.
It disgusted you….the effect those two words had on your emotions and body. You wanted to scream, cry for help, hit your fist against the barred door.
You also wanted to cry for him to come back, to protect you from the situation he had put you in but you knew he’d left to continue his life as sheriff for the day.
He was supposed to be the protector of the townsfolk, so why was he hurting you?
You assumed a few hours had passed. After observing the flawlessly girly room you’d been put in, you realized there was no clock or window. He obviously wanted you to be hidden from the outside world, or maybe he wanted to hide the outside world from you?
“My dumb baby”
You whimpered at the memory. Your fear and confusion had only fueled your need for escape. As you went to stand up, regret immediately overtook you as your legs wobbled and eyes blurred, falling to the cold hard ground taking the tray of food he’d left down with you. Tears began to build in the corners of your eyes at the realization your hands were bound by harsh rope in front of you and that you were now covered in food. You were so stuck in your head you’d barely registered your surroundings.
Maybe I really am dumb.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Lee’s POV:
He was stressed. He was pissed. He was tired. He missed you.
Lee ran his rough hands down his face as he let out a deep sigh filled with exhaustion. He hated that he had to leave you alone after last night. Lee would much rather be at home taking care of you,
He’d much rather be at home training you to be his good girl again, after that stunt you pulled with the Russel boy.
No Lee. This is your fault.
He should’ve got to you sooner. It was his fault for being a damn coward. You just didn’t understand what that Arvin kid was after. No, his girl was too innocent for her own good, he convinced himself.
Even when Lee saw you kiss that fucker, even then he knew it wasn’t your fault. You didn’t know he was watching. You just wanted attention. You were just acting out. You would have never done that if Lee had just taken what was rightfully his.
His thoughts were spiraling, as they often did when he thought of you. You’d never told him why you were cryin’ the night he’d taken you and you didn’t have to. Lee had seen the whole thing behind the dark tinted windows of his car. He also knew that’s why Arvin ran like hell when he’d seen Lee watching.
Lee chuckled at the memory, happy with the fear he instilled in the boy. He knew he’d have to instill some in you too, even if it crushed his heart.
The sound of a fist knocking on his office door suddenly ripped Lee out of his y/n filled daydream. He grumble out an agitated “come in” just as one of his lower level officers busted through the door.
“Sheriff…got somethin’ your gonna wanna see immediately”
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Tick
Tock
Tick
Tock
Tick….
BOOM
The slam of a door forced you into high alert. Your brain no longer creating ticks of a clock to fill the silence, your heart was now beating as loud as the boom that had just occurred. You nervously backed your disheveled body into the corner of the room, as it had become your only source of comfort during your stay here.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Lee was ecstatic.
He knew he shouldn’t have been. His sister and brother in law were just found dead by some river just outta town. But fuck was Lee happy he didn’t have another obstacle standing in the way of him having you. Sandy had always been too damn protective of you. She didn’t know what you needed, she made unsafe decisions all the time. It’s why she ended up dead.
Lee knew exactly what you needed.
He couldn’t be bothered with the fact he’d just slammed his front door with a thunder-like force, he had to get to his girl. Lee removed his hat with a smile as he made his way to unlock your door. God, he missed you and he finally had you.
“Baby! God I’m so glad to see—“ Lee had started until his eyes landed on your messy form in the corner of your room. Food spilled to the ground, uneaten. Tears in your eyes.
His happiness drained and he was immediately overwhelmed with concern.
“Fuckin’ shit baby.” He cursed as he made his way over to you, only for you to shake and sob even more. He knew you hadn’t eaten your food and god knows how long you’d been here crying.
His soft coo’s only seemed to egg your cries on further and it frustrated him.
“Little one please…it’s okay…calm…calm…SHUT UP!” He bellowed as he harshly grabbed your face.
You immediately stiffened. A sob stuck in your throat and eyes not leaving his frantic ones. Your hands fisted at the end of your dress the best they could, bracing for the impact of him hurting you.
But it never came.
Lee’s face softened. “Thank you baby doll. See isn’t it easier to do as I say?” He questioned. He knew there was a part of you that desired this. To listen. To be protected and cherished.
The rough pads of his thumbs smoothed away the tracks of salty tears—drinking you in as small hiccups racked your body.
“Little one—when I ask you something, you answer. You always answer.”
“…i-I’m sorry l-lee…yes its e-easier to listen…m’sorry” you stuttered out in an attempt to please him. Thankfully it worked as his blue eyes lit up.
“My poor baby.” He cooed—dark eves traveling along your body. “You’re all sticky. How do you feel about a bath?”
Hell did the thought of getting clean sound amazing right now and you desperately wanted out of this sickly innocent room. You anxiously nodded your head in confirmation, forgetting Lee liked it better when you were verbal.
Panic struck through you at the realization but it seemed as though he didn’t care. Lee’s hands slowly wrapped themselves around your body. One under your thighs and the other around your waist. His ability to pick you up so easy sent an odd feeling through you. Yes you were scared but you liked being close to him like this. You could take in his scent. Smoke. Leather. And warm. He smelt warm and felt warm. You had found yourself leaning into his chest as he carried you to what you assumed was the bathroom. It was uncomfortable, with your wrist rubbing against the rope, but you were so cold you couldn’t care.
It was when you finally reached your destination that you looked up. Lee’s smile had yet to leave his face, thankfully it wasn’t that of a sinister one.
Lee had carried you over to the bathroom counter, tapping your thigh as a signal for you to adjust.
Looking around you noticed there were two sinks and lots of feminine bath products. First the overly decorated room and now a fully stocked bathroom. How had he been able to afford all this on a sheriff’s salary?
You’d shifted as the thought started to make you grow uncomfortable. You truly knew nothing about this man.
Casting your gaze down to your wrist, you winced at the harsh burns starting to form.
“U-um…lee? Could you?” You gestured to the rope binding your wrist.
He looked up from the bubble bath he’d started for you. Smile gone and face now completely blank. It scared you how fast his emotions could change.
“Yeah? Want me to untie them for you?” He taunted as he stalked his way towards you. “And what are you gonna do if I do that, baby?”
He didn’t trust you of course. He expected you to run.
“please I promise I’ll be good Lee. I just—they hurt” you begged trying to appeal to him.
Fuck, you knew just how to get him.
Lee reached into his back pocket pulling out a knife too sharp to be in the hands of a man like him. Reaching for your wrist, eyes never leaving yours as he cut the rope. For some reason, your eyes never left his. It was as if you were trying to show him you weren’t about to run, to show him he could trust you.
Why wasn’t I about to run?
Once your wrist were free, he brought them up to his lips, gently pressing a kiss to the irritated skin.
“I’m sorry. Don’t—please don’t make me do that again.” He’d ordered, jaw clenched, before his hands made their way around your waist, easily lifting you from the counter onto the floor.
Your head was still killing you, and it seemed like the floor was shaking under your feet just as it had before.
Though before you could crash again, those same rough hands found your waist and you almost happily welcomed them.
“Wow you really are like Bambi, aren’t ya?” He teased, eyes lit up. “Can’t even walk without tripping over your own two feet.”
Fuck you. You almost said, but you doubted that would have helped much. The whole reason you couldn’t walk was because of him!
“Now—im gonna let ya get undressed. Bathe by yourself.” He’d began, hands rubbing moving up and down your shivering arms. “Be good? ‘Kay honey?”
No. No I won’t be good. You wanted to fight back. Make him angry and frustrated like you were. Press his buttons.
But even you knew that wouldn’t work just yet.
“Yes sir.”
Lee almost groaned at your obedience. He knew you’d fall right into your role.
After handing you a fluffy white towel he turned to make his leave.
Holding the fabric to your chest—you watched anxiously as his leather cladded back retreated to the rest of the house, before closing the door. Of course—not without the click of a lock.
Looking around you suddenly became overwhelmed—confused. Like you didn’t know what to do. Not even the lovely smell of roses and vanilla could comfort you.
You wanted him back.
“Lee—“ you shakily called making your way to the door.
Not even two seconds later it opened.
“What’s wrong, baby—is everything oka—“ he rambled before you cut him off with a sigh.
“I don’t…wanna be alone. Please stay with me, Lee.”
Lee was a weak man. Well a weak man for you. Immediately he nodded his head, willing to do whatever it is you needed.
It shocked you, how eager he was. Maybe it shouldn’t have, he had kidnapped you after all.
You watched as he turned to give you privacy so you could undress, thankful for that. Slowly you started to strip the once beautiful now ruined dress, before folding it neatly and setting it on the counter. Next you did the same with your bra and panties.
You then checked back to make sure he was still turned before feeling the temperature of the water. Boiling hot and filled with bubbles. Just how you would have made it.
Dipping your toes in you couldn’t help but let out a groan, Lee swore his pants tightened a little at the sound.
Once you had fully submerged yourself in the bubbles, you let out a little cough signaling Lee could turn around.
The sight could have brought him to his knees.
Your hair was disheveled in a way only you could pull off, cheeks peachy red from the heat, and body barley covered.
Lee knew you had to be some kinda angel in that moment, and fuck if it didn’t make him wanna worship you.
He made his way closer to you, eyes trying not to look at the blue lace he’d seen under your dress earlier, now folded on his bathroom counter. Once he’d gotten close enough to the bath he crouched down, leveling himself next to you.
His presence, though it still made you uneasy, brought a sense of belonging. You watched him as he crouched next to you, eyes locked.
“why— why me?” You let out without thinking.
Hadn’t he told you before? Hadn’t he told you how perfect you were for him? How he couldn’t let the only perfect thing in this world be taken from him?
Sighing, Lee knew he had to give you a better answer.
“Why? cause’ baby, you were made for more. More than this town can offer. You weren’t made to be some fuckin’ kids first fuck. You weren’t made to wipe tables for people who don’t give two shits. You weren’t made to be abandoned— you were made to be mine.” Lee preached. He could tell it scared you, how passionate he was.
“I know you feel it too. I’ve seen it. Only my girl woulda’ stayed hours late for me just to serve me pie. Only my girl woulda’ somehow always been able to run into me everywhere she went. The universe wants us together, don’t deny it baby doll.” He said before grabbing your smaller hands in his.
You had yet to respond. Yes, you had a crush on the older man. You had since you moved here, but did you want this?
Your lack of response once again frustrated Lee, as he moved his strong hand around to your neck, not choking you…just holding it there as if a warning.
“Tell me you don’t want me.” He demanded, forcing you to whimper. “Tell me how bad I am. Tell me how you didn’t want this to happen. Didn’t want a bad man like me to take you and make you mine.”
He slowly brought his face closer to yours inhaling your scent as he said the dark words. You shifted your legs closed obviously effected by him. It took everything in you not to whimper as his nose rubbed against your temple. You knew he’d seen it, it’s what brought a dark smile to accompany his dark lust clouded eyes.
You did want him but…you couldn’t give into him.
“…I don—“ you’d never got to finish as he pulled your lips to meet his, the kiss forceful and passionate. He tasted like whiskey, a drink you’d never personally have but liked on him. The kiss was full of built up frustration, teeth and tongue. Water from the tub had spilled onto Lee’s jacket and pants but he couldn’t give a fuck.
Lee continued to dominate the kiss, mumbling out ‘mine’ in between breath’s. Something sparked in you. You didn’t want him to win so easily.
Suddenly you harshly bit down onto his bottom lip, letting out a strangled moan from him. “You fucking little brat,” he hissed watching the blood drip from his mouth.
It made Lee laugh. His good girl had some fight in her. Your innocent eyes still held that spark in them and fuck did he love it.
Lee’s hand quickly shot out grabbing your jaw harshly, forcing your body to lean slightly over the edge of the tub.
“Hhmh I see baby. Daddy leaves you alone for a little bit and you feel all big and bad, like you can handle it huh?” He said with a laugh.
“Open.” He demanded as he watched your eyes shimmer with tears.
You wanted to struggle. Shaking your head you let out a shaky groan.
Lee lifted an eyebrow at your defiance, amused by your fight.
Suddenly you felt his rough finger invading your mouth, forcing it open. Lee then leaned over your frame letting a mix of spit and blood fall between your pouty lips. You whimpered at the taste, fearful and turned on.
“Swallow now” he demanded, holding your jaw with what could only be described as a loving force.
You listened, swallowing what he gave you, ashamed at the ache between your thighs.
“Finally, you’re my good girl again.” He chuckled as he tapped his wet hands against your cheek.
“You’ve got ten minutes, Bambi. I expect you to be done when I get back.” Lee said as he stood up to make his way out, leaving you dazed and confused.
You were embarrassed by how wet you were, scared by how aggressive he was, and frustrated that he left.
You slowly shrunk into the bubbles as if to hide from your own thoughts, never noticing the pair of panties Lee had taken with him.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Lee closed the door behind him, letting out a breath he didn’t know he’d been holding in. His hands fisted the lace blue panties he’d stolen from your little pile of clothes, and he knew he was fucked up for it. They were just so…you. Lee hummed to himself as he played with the little wet spot from where the fabric had rubbed against your little cunt.
He’d learned today that his good girl was also a brat, one that needed to be broken in. He didn’t mind, he’d always known you had a stubborn streak.
But fuck was lee happy to be the one to bring both sides out of you.

Bunny’s Note: oh my god. How y’all doing????? I know I know Lee is a big perv in this one but I’m obsessed with it. I also wanna thank you all for the love you’ve shown this series, even with how dark it is. Thank you all so much! I watched this movie agaiN because I want him so bad.
Love, Bunny 🎀

do you have any domestic arvin headcanons? i know he’s closed off but the idea of him being a sweetheart when he’s comfy is just <333
he’s absolutely a sweetheart, especially when he’s with you. you’ve seen him when he’s with his grandma or with lenora -- he indulges in that soft side of his when he feels comfortable.
and god, he’s so smitten with you that he doesn’t even recognize himself sometimes, how lovey-dovey he behaves and how head over heels he is with you. sometimes it scares him, when he catches himself staring at you with such longing that his chest starts to hurt, meanwhile you’re only a few feet across from him with your legs curled underneath you while you’re either napping or cradling a book. the sight of you so blissful and pure has him indebted to you in admiration.
boyfriend!arvin who loves to lend you his sweaters or flannels when you’re cold, loves to put his baseball cap on your head to mess up your hair just because he thinks it looks better on you.
boyfriend!arvin who gets a little too tipsy after you both eat dinner, so whimsical and stupid in his mannerisms that he has to twirl you around in his arms to bob dylan under the refrigerator light before you go to bed together.
boyfriend!arvin who needs his arms around you at all times. when you’re at the farmer’s market and he touches a hand to your hip and carries all the produce you pick out in a bag. has his whole arm around your waist at the bar just so other men know not to hit on you or they’ll get arvin’s fist. he’d have you in his lap while he drives if it wasn’t a fucking hazard.
boyfriend!arvin who is at your beck and call no matter what. any headache, small injury, ache, or cramp has him running straight to the drugstore for you even if you protest. he’ll surrender to you when you’re on his lap, laying on him, and he’ll brush his fingers through your hair for hours until you fall asleep. he thinks you look like an angel when you’re fast asleep in his lap like that.

Arvin Russell x Reader
{ readers pronouns are she/her } if you are different pronouns you can change them on chrome extention called "interactiveFics"

A short imagine where arvin meets you for the first time and you fall for him. Love at first sight..
There he was on his way to pick up his sister Lenora
he drove off and parked in front of the school waiting for his sister to come. After waiting for what felt like ages he finally saw his sister coming towards the car but also with other girl walking with her
"Hello Brother" Lenora said smiling widely at her brother
"Hey there Lenora" he said while smoking his cigarette
"This is my friend Y/n she just moved here" Lenora said pointing towards you.
Tumblr media
Arvin put his cigarette out and from the sudden motion his brunette hair fell gracefully on his face, he stared at you (in a non creepy way ofc)
"Hello Y/n I'm Arvin Lenora's brother" he said
"Hey, I know she told me about you already" you smiled
"Brother, do you mind giving Y/n a lift home the school bus not gonna arrive here till late" Lenora said waiting for her brother's reply
"sure why not" he said and you and Lenora jumped into the back seat
He began to start the car, it was dead silent in the car, Arvin deciding to break the silence
"So y/n where do you live so i know where to drop you off" he asked
But before you can reply Lenora interrupted you
"Actually Arvin I was thinking that Y/n should come to our house to have supper" Lenora smiled she enjoyed your company.
"Ok what'd you say y/n?" he asked
"uh i don't see why not" you smiled and glared at him through the rear view mirror trying to hide your blush, indeed he was handsome..
His eyes, his hair, him in general. How where you to tell your best friend Lenora you were falling for her brother?

Is it smut?
A/N: i think the title speaks for itself, but yeah, it was my first fic ever published on my first account @/cloudyfeel. Still couldnt get it back, so i'm investing all my energy on this one, hehe
TW: smut, I mean the title is a spoiler?… cockwarming, slight jealousy,(if you look very closely), a little bit of angst-Tom being a bit insecure
Enjoy,
Cloudy
Dont't be shy, comment, reblog, like!
english is not my first language. not beta read, all mistakes are my own.
Tumblr media
You were on the couch reading some fanfic on tumblr while Tom, your cute boyfriend, was watching some golf on TV. It was time like this, that you miss while he was away for filming or on press tour. You just enjoyed being with him and spend time with him even if both of you were doing different things.
“What are you reading?” Tom asked you genuinely curious. You looked at him before answering: “Some fanfiction”
“About who?” You thought of your answer.. you were not embarrassed to read fanfiction, Tom knew from the start of your relationship two years ago, that you read and write some of it. “Mmh… currently Bucky Barnes, it’s a really good one.” “Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes?” “Yeah, who else?” You asked in return.
Tom looked at you, a hint of jealousy coursing his veins. He didn’t know why… but he also knew that you found Sebastian Stan pretty looking. You could feel him tensed. You let a small sigh and you said:“ I also read one about Captain America, Harry Styles, Peter Parker…so you know about a lot of people, about a lot of different topics.”
“You read fanfic about me?” You laughed. “I said about Peter Parker.” He snorted. “Yeah, but I am Peter Parker.” “So he’s Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire… you’re not that special, babe” you teased him. “Excuse me young lady?” “I excuse you pretty boy.”
You continued your reading, but you could feel Tom’s glaze on you. You stopped looking at your phone after a few minutes and you meet eyes with Tom. “Ok, I confess… I read fanfic about you.” “Like me, me? ” “Yeah and your characters. But mostly Peter Parker, Arvin Russell and you as yourself or in alternative universe.” He blushed. You raised an eyebrow at his reaction. “Why are you blushing ?” “Is it smut?”
You scoffed, “sometimes” you mumbled. Now you were a bit embarrassed… ok you read smut about those fictional characters… but to admit it out loud to your boyfriend, who played those characters… you felt shy suddenly. “But I’m right here, darling” “ I’m not reading smut about you or your characters when you here…” “Oh…but your reading bucky barney’s fiction…with smut?”
It was your time to blush. Yup, you were reading a smut fiction about a marvel character while your boyfriend was watching innocently some golf. “Maybe?” “Y/N!” “Sorry, Tom, ok? I just found it and the summary was catchy and I started reading it…. and this author is very good at smut. I am horny and reading this kind of fiction is nice when I am in this state, you know.” “But I am here!” Shouted Tom. “Tom, sweety, I am mentally horny… not physically horny right now” You both laugh. “Damn, you’re weird… I love you Y/N/N”. “Love you too dork, but I know that you’re jealous of my Bucky Barnes fanfic.” The day went by and when you were both getting ready to go to bed Tom asked you.
“Could I read some?” You looked at him with wide eyes. “ I mean, I am curious to see some of the works you liked. About my characters, me or other.” “To be clear, I read about you or you characters, when I missed you and you’re not here, ok? Because clearly, when we’re together I don’t need it… I mean all my fantasies come true while we’re together.”
“No need to justify, baby. You told me when we started dating that you like reading and writing some fanfic. But I really am curious and to read some you liked… I don’t know I feel like I can connect with even more, when we’re not together.” You pout, he was the cutest…and you couldn’t handle it or even said no to him. “Tom… stop being this adorable… give me your phone I’ll connect you to my tumblr.”
He smiled at you and handed you his phone. He was happy to asked you this because he was going away for a few days with his brothers and you couldn’t come. “Keep in mind that some of them are… maybe a bit extreme and I don’t put them on the list of the thing I want to try with you during sex, alright?” He nodded and opened his arms for you to come cuddle him. ~~~~~~ You were at your desk working on something when your phone start buzzing. Tom was calling you. “Hey Tommy!” “Hey, Y/N” “ we said that we were calling each other later or am I wrong?” There was a silent and you could hear tom heavy breathing. “ you ok?” “I’m reading some of the fanfic that you saved.” Your heart started beating a little faster. “Oh, the extreme ones?” “ i don’t know what you mean about extreme… but I- i am a little concern about my size.” “Your size?” “ yeah, my penis… I-I mean sometimes the description of my shaft in these… I wonder if mine is… you know good enough…” You reprimanded your laugh. Tom was sometime insecure, but you were not ready for him to be insecure about his size…well no this one to be honest. “You’re stretching me just right, baby boy.” You said languidly. “ damn, you don’t know what’s coming for you when I am home.” He replied. “Well I sure hope to cum…” You both laughed and started to talk about everything and anything before you had to hang up and started working again. But you couldn’t wait for him to come home… now you were horny in the physical way. ~~~~ Two days later, Tom and his brothers were coming back from there little trip. You had planned a little lingerie set to welcome home your sweet, sexy and handsome boyfriend. You heard the door open and shut quite quickly before the voice of Tom came to you. “Y/N!” “In the bedroom!” You found the best way to lay down on the sheets. You were on your stomach with your legs bends and your chin between your hands. Tom literally stormed to the room. He stopped in his tracks and looked at you with wide eyes and he huffed.
“ jesus, why didn’t you warned me that those fanfic could made me that horny !” You laughed and sit on your knees. “ why don’t you cure your horny state with me ? I just read a fanfic with Peter Parker and it was… so… fucking hot. I need you Tom.”
Tom took his shirt and pants off. He crowled on the bed and stopped just an inche from you. He looked at you from head to toes and his eyes darkened with lust. “ I saw that you read one were we have a threesome with Hazz.” “ yeah, an extreme one…sorry about that. But if it makes it better, I don’t want to… just you and me.. nobody else.” He kissed you, with a certain passion that you only found when he came back from filming. His hands started running down your body, cupping your breast, your ass before he cupped your cheeks.“ You’re so beautiful, I can believe you’re mine.” You chuckled and put your hands on his neck and you scratched the base of his hair. He groaned in the kiss and put you closer to him. “ I want to try something.” He whispered. You hummed letting him now that you were listening. He kissed your cheeks, your lips, your neck before saying. “Cockwarming” you put your hands on his shoulders and you looked him in the eyes. “I was thinking of that this morning… I want to try it too. But not in my mouth though…” “ yeah, not in your mouth I wanna hold you tight.”
You stripped from you last bit of clothing and Tom sat against the headboard. You straddled him, he caressed your folds, you reached the drawer of the nightstand and got the lube. Tom smiled at you and took the bottle. He opened it and squeezed some in his hands, he worked him self up and continue to teasing your folds. When you felt both ready, he put a condom and you aligned yourself with him. You slipped gently and when your ass meet his thighs you both sigh in pleasure. “So now, we don’t move for awhile” Tom murmured. “Yeah, that’s the idea of cockwarming. How was the trip?”
He chuckled and tried to focus on his answer, but he felt too good to be in you after being so horny for the past few days of reading this smut. “It was nice, but not as nice as what I am feeling right now.” You laughed and in doing so you clenched a little bit. Tom hissed and you let a little moan out. “Fuck, that’s not what I thought, I would feel. Tom, don’t be insecure about your size, you’re really filling me up just right.”
He put his arms around your waist and kissed your beck tenderly. “Gosh I love you, Y/N/N”. You put your hands in his hairs and kissed his forehead, cheeks and then his lips. “I love you too, Tommy.”
You stayed silent, just enjoying the feeling to be this close and this connected. When your legs started to hitch, Tom took the initiative to turned you around. Without slipping out of you, he was on top. He took both of your legs and put them on his waist and he started thrust in you. You whimper quietly at the sudden movement. Your hands on his back, your nails digging in his flesh. He groaned and start thrusting harder and faster. You moaned louder and louder overwhelmed by the warming and now the way Tom entered you and hitting your g-spot. “Babe, I wont last long” panted Tom.
You kissed him passionately and your hands went on his ass to accentuate his movement. “Me neither, touch me please”. He reached for your clit and you arched your back. Tom searched your eyes, when you locked them together your breathing synchronized and you both camed at the same time. Your all body trembled and Tom collapsed on top of you. You caressed his head and shoulders while he kissed tenderly your neck and collarbone.
“Sweety, can you come out. Cockwarming is over” you chuckled. He sighed and lay down beside you. You cuddled on his chest and listened to his heartbeat. “Babe, do you want me to sub next time?” “If you up for it, why not.”
He hold you tighter and kissed your forehead. Maybe let him read your favourite fanfic was a good idea.

Like You’d Get Your Knuckles Bloody For Me
Pairing: Arvin Russel x Reader
Requested by @natashasera : Arvin always thought you wouldn’t hurt a fly but has to clean you up one day after you get into a fight
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Hold on a minute, Arvin. My friend is coming.” Lenora said as she climbed into her brothers car.
“Friend? What friend?”
“It’s just Y/n.”
“I never heard that name before.” Arvin frowned.
“She’s a new friend. And you don’t I don’t make a lot of em so you better be nice to her.” Lenora warned.
“I will.” Arvin held up his hands in defense.
“There she is. Act normal.” Lenora ordered as you came out of the school.
“I said I would.” Arvin rolled his eyes and looked out the window to see who Lenora was looking at. When he saw you walking towards his car, he did a double take.
“That’s your friend?”
“Yeah. Why?” Lenora asked as Arvin got out of the car. “Where are you going?“
Arvin practically ran around the car, tripping over his feet as he went. He opened the back door for you just as you reached the car.
“Let me get that for you, sweetheart.” He smiled and stepped to the side.
“Oh. Thank you.“ You smiled in surprise.
“I’m Arvin.” He said and held out his hand.
“I’m Y/n. Hope you don’t mind an extra passenger in your car.” You replied as you shook his hand.
“Don’t mind at all. Bout time my backseats saw a little action.”
“Oh?“ You raised an eyebrow.
“I didn’t mean it like that.” Arvin said quickly. “Lenora just always sits in the front seat.”
“I figured.” You chuckled and got into the car. Arvin shut his eyes in embarrassment before climbing back into the drivers seat.
“I told you be normal.” Lenora whispered harshly.
“I am!” He whispered back.
“No you’re not!”
“Lenora, did you catch what Mrs. Harper said about the arithmetic homework? I couldn’t hear her.” You asked from the backseat.
“She said she just have to do questions one through ten.” Lenora answered as Arvin began to drive away.
“Okay. Wanna do em together?” Lenora asked as she turned around in her seat.
“Yeah. Let’s do em together.”
“Why don’t you do five and Y/n do five and then you just copy each other’s answers?” Arvin suggested.
“We can’t do that.” You laughed like it was ridiculous to even suggest.
“Why not?” Arvin wondered.
“Because thats cheating.”
Arvin looked at you in the rearview mirror to see if you were being serious and smiled when he saw that you were. He was always a bad student and found it endearing that you were a good one.
“It’s hardly cheating.” Arvin shrugged. “You’re still doing half the questions. And you were gonna do em together anyway.”
“Arvin.” Lenora hissed and hit his arm.
“What? I’m just saying.”
“Stop it.” She whispered and flicked her eyes towards you in the backseat. She thought Arvin was embarrassing her, but you were actually enjoying the conversation.
“For your information, Arvin, I do not cheat. Not even hardly.” You said as you playfully smiled at him in the rearview mirror.
“Wow. You must be a goody two shoes then, huh?” Arvin asked you.
“Arvin.” Lenora said warningly.
“So what if I am?” You asked as you looked at him through your eyelashes.
“Nothings wrong with that.” Arvin shrugged. “Just can’t say the same for myself.”
“Arvin got in a lot of fights at school.” Lenora spoke up to change the subject.
“Did you?” You laughed in surprise.
“Only when something was worth fighting for.” Arvin smirked at you in the mirror.
“Did you always win?” You asked him.
“I won the ones that mattered.”
“Interesting.” You said as you held eye contact with each other in the mirror. Lenora looked back and forth between the two of you and gagged a little.
“We’re here. Let’s go, Y/n.” She said as Arvin pulled up to the house. Lenora immediately got out of the car and opened your door for you before Arvin got a chance.
“Thanks for the ride, Arvin.” You called as Lenora pulled you by the hand towards her house.
“Anytime.” He shouted back. He went in the house shortly after the two of you did but Lenora had already taken you to her room. He went on with his day and did his chores around the house but he could not stop thinking about you. He knew it was wrong to have feelings for his sisters friend, but you were making it hard not to. He was thinking of how to get to know you better when he heard a scream from Lenora’s room. He immediately ran to her room and burst through the door.
“What? What’s wrong?” He asked his sister.
“There’s a rat!” Lenora screamed.
“A rat?” Arvin asked just as the creature ran across the room.
“AHHH!” Lenora screamed again. “Arvin, kill it.”
“Where did it go?” He asked as he grabbed a broom from the corner of the room. Arvin noticed you slip out the bedroom door but before he could ask where you were going, Lenora screamed again.
“It’s In the corner. Get it!” Lenora cried.
“Wait!” You said as he ran back into the room. Arvin took a step back as you knelt down in front of the mouse.
“Come here.” You said in a sweet voice as you waved a small leaf in front of the mouse. The mouse sniffed the air before scurried towards you. You gently scooped it up in your hands and stood up.
“How did you do that?“ Arvin asked in disbelief.
“It’s not a rat. Just a field mouse. They only come inside when they eat all the plants outside. I can take him back to my house and release him there. There’s lots of plants for him to eat on my lawn.” You explained. Arvin watched you with soft eyes as you stroked the mouses head with your finger.
“Wow. You’re really smart, darling.” Arvin said as he walked over to you.
“Thanks. I just love animals. Wouldn’t want to see him get hurt.” You smiled as you opened your hands a little so you could show him the mouse. Arvin was too busy admiring you to look down at the mouse. He knew he had only just met you, but he was already smitten.
That Sunday, Arvin was dragging his feet as the rest of his family got ready for church. He never liked going, but he went to make Lenora happy.
“Come on, Arvin. We’re gonna be late.” Lenora urged as he parked in the church parking lot. He rolled his eyes a little as he got out of the car and followed his sister inside. Just as he zoned out, he saw you walking towards him. He quickly sat up and smoothed his hair as you sat beside him.
“Hi darling.” He whispered. “I didn’t know you go to this Parrish.”
“I don’t.” You whispered back.
“Oh really? Stalking me then, darling?”
“I’m just teasing.” You smiled. “I run the church day care on Sundays. I’m usually in the back reading to the young kids during mass.”
“Wow. Aren’t you a little saint?” He smirked and turned in his seat to get a better look at you.
“Better to be a saint then a sinner.” You shrugged, making his smile grow.
“Maybe so.”
“I better get back to the kids. Good to see you, Arvin.” You patted his knee and went to stand up.
“Darling, wait.” He gently caught you by the wrist.
“Yes?”
“Can I come see the daycare?” He asked as fellow churchgoers gave you annoyed looks.
“Really? You want to?”
“Sure I do. I don’t need to sit through the homily. I know the ending.” He said as he nodded towards a Bible. You laughed at his joke before nodding your head.
“Come on. I’ll show you.” You took his hand and brought him back to the daycare. Arvin blushed at you holding his hand and followed you out to a building behind the church.
“Hi kids. I’m back and I brought a visitor.” You said when you opened the door. All the kids rushed to you as Arvin hung back.
“Look what I drew Miss Y/n!” A little boy said as he showed you his drawing.
“You drew this? This looks like you got it out of a museum.” You gasped as you wrapped your arm around the bot. Arvin was delighted to see that you were just as good with kids as you were with animals.
“Thank you.” The boy smiled shyly. You let go of the boy and hung the drawing up on the wall.
“You’re good with kids.” Arvin remarked as he joined your side.
“Thanks.” You smiled at him. “I try to be. I love looking after ‘em.”
“Spider!” One of the kids screamed before Arvin could respond. All the kids started screaming and the room erupted into chaos. You gave Arvin an apologetic smile before going over to the kids.
“I got it.” You assured them. You picked up a cup of colored pencils and dumped it out before showing the kids the cup. You put the cup over the spider before sliding a piece of paper under the cup. The kids watched with fascination as you brought the cup over to the window. Arvin opened the window for you, earning another smile. You put the cup outside the window and let the spider out on a bush.
“There you go, Mr. Spider.” You said before shutting the window. “Gather around, kids. Come look at the spider.”
All the kids ran to the window to get a look at the spider. Their fear melted into excitement as they looked at the creature.
“See? You don’t have to be scared. All God’s creatures serve a purpose. Even the small ones matter.” You told them, always taking the opportunity to teach a lesson. You caught Arvin staring at you fondly and waved him over.
“Did you want to see?” You asked and pointed to the spider.
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m looking.” Arvin replied, never taking his eyes off of you.
The following week, Arvin was driving home from work when he spotted you through his window. You were holding yourself and walking home, your body language suggesting that you were far from okay. He slowed down so that he could drive along the side of you and rolled his window down.
“Darling? Is that you?” He shouted out the window. You looked over to see who the voice belonged to and gulped when you realized it was Arvin.
“No.” You replied before walking faster. Arvin sped up to match your pace before calling out to you again.
“I know it’s you. Come here.”
“I’m okay. Just keep driving.” You said as you turned your face so he couldn’t see you.
“I’m not leaving ‘till you come here and talk to me.” He replied. You stopped walking and sighed a little before walking over to his car. When you got closer, Arvin finally saw why you were upset. Your nose was bleeding and he could see a bruise forming around your eye. Your messed up hair and busted knuckles only further proved Arvins forming theory that you had gotten in a fight.
“What happened to you?” He asked as he put his car into park and quickly got out. He immediately ran to you and cupped your face to see the extent of your injuries.
“Nothing.” You said and gave him a weak, bloody smile.
“You’re bleeding. Something must have happened.” He sighed as his eyes filled his concern.
“I fell.”
“Into what? A wood chipper?” Arvin asked, making your shoulders shake with laughter.
“Good. Glad to see you smiling again.” Arvin smiled as he smoothed your hair down. “Now can you get in the car please?”
“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.”
“I am worried. And you’re not fine. So get in.” Arvin said. You sighed a little before complying. Arvin opened the door for you and helped you in. Once you were both seated, Arvin went into his glove box and pulled out a handkerchief.
“Here. For you nose.” He said as he held it out to you.
“Thanks.” You smiled sheepishly and held the handkerchief up to your bleeding nose.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?” Arvin kept his eyes on you as he drove away.
“No.” You said quietly.
“Okay.”
“Where are we going?” You asked after a beat of silence.
“Back to my house. Gotta get you cleaned up.”
“Really, Arvin, I’m fine. You can just drop me off at home.”
“Is anyone in your family home?”
“No. My parents are at work.”
“Well then can I at least stay with you? Don’t think you should be alone right now.” Arvin said as he looked over at you.
“Yeah.” You smiled softly. “You can stay.”
“Okay.” He returned the smile. “Just tell me where to go.”
You reached over and gave Arvins knee an appreciative squeeze to thank him for taking care of him. He listened to you as you directed him to your house and soon enough, he pulled into your driveway. Arvin parked and got out of the car to open the door for you.
“Thank you.” You gave him a weak smile as you got out of the car. Arvin kept a hand on your back as he helped you into your house.
“Where’s your bathroom?” He asked once you were inside.
“Down the hallway on the left.”
“Okay. Come with me.” Arvin said as he gently took you by the hand. He walked with you to your bathroom and opened the door for you once again.
“Sit.” He said as he nodded to the counter. He found your first aid kit beneath the sit as you jumped up on your counter. He got out a Cotten ball and soaked it in hydrogen peroxide. He gently took your chin between his fingers and tilted your chin up.
“Arvin-“
“Hush now. Your lip is bleeding.” He said as he dabbed them Cotten ball on your lip.
“You really don’t have to do this.”
“I said hush.” He repeated, making you crack a smile. He finished cleaning your lip and moved on to the cut above your eye.
“I can take care of myself. Honest. You should go home.” You told him as he carefully dabbed some Neosporin on your cut.
“I’m good right here.” He said as he opened up a bandaid.
“You don’t have to-“
“Hush.” He related as he tilted your face up again. He put the bandaid on your cut and smiled proudly at his work.
“You gonna tell me how this happened?” He asked as he cleaned the dried blood that had settled beneath your nose.
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Don’t want you telling Lenora, that’s why.“
“Why? Thought you two were best friends.”
“We are. That’s why I don’t want her to know I was fighting.”
“You can tell me though, darling. I can keep a secret.”
“I don’t wanna tell you.” You said quietly as Arvin poured hydrogen peroxide on another Cotten ball.
“Why?” He wondered as he took your hand. “You know I’ve been in plenty of fights myself. I’m not one to judge.”
“Still.” You gave him an apologetic smile as he cleaned your bloody knuckles for you.
“Can I at least know who did this to you?” He asked as he got some gauze out of the first aid kit.
“Why? Are you gonna do something to them?” You teased. “Lenora told me what you did to those rascals that pick on her. Heard you left em with a couple broken noses.
“You heard right.” Arvin smirked. “And I’d do the same to whoever did this to you.”
“You can’t. It was just some dumb girls in my class.” You said as Arvin wrapped your hand with the bandage.
“Why did they do this to you?” He asked you. You gave him an embarrassed look before looking away.
“What?” He wondered.
“I started the fight.” You admitted as a smile tugged at your lips.
“Yeah?” He raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Why’d you fight em?”
“Cant tell you that.” You shrugged, liking that he was so intrigued.
“You can tell me, doll.” He whined. “I won’t judge. Promise.”
“Promise?” You raised an eyebrow and held out your pinky.
“Promise.” He smiled and linked his pinky through yours.
“They were making fun of Lenora.” You admitted. “They’re always making fun of Lenora. One of the girls pushed her so I pushed the girl back and told Lenora to run.”
“And then you….” Arvin trailed off so you could finish your story.
“And then I beat those bitches up.” You shrugged, making Arvin burst out laughing.
“Darling.” He said through his laughter.
“Somebody had to it.” You insisted. “They’ve been cruising for a bruising all year.”
“You did this for my sister?” Arvin asked as he held up your bandaged hand.
“Some things are worth fighting for.” You replied, using his words from the day you met. Arvin smiled softly before bringing your hand up to his lips to kiss your knuckles.
“And here I was thinking you wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
“I would if the fly was being mean to you sister.” You said simply.
“Well I appreciate you doing that, doll.” He said as he held your gaze. “Means a lot to me.”
“Well your sister means a lot to me. She’s the greatest friend I ever had. I wish those other girls could see how great she is. Not that they’re gonna be able to see anything for a while. Left em with some lovely black eyes.” You smirked as Arvin held your hand against his chest. You could feel his heart pounding and pretended not to notice.
“I bet.” Arvin chuckled. “How do your knuckles feel?”
“Pretty sore.”
“I know. Trust me, I’ve busted mine a hundred times. It’ll get better.” Arvin said as he showed you his permanently red knuckles. You took his hand and looked at his knuckles while gently running your thumb over them. He blushed under your touch while you wondered just how many fights he had been in.
“Thanks for patching me up, Arvin.” You said as you looked up at home without ever dropping his hand.
“Thanks for defending my sister.” He said with a smile. You flexed your hand a little as you checked out the bandaging.
“You know, they feel better already.” You told Arvin as he leaned on the counter, an arm on either side of you.
“Yeah? How does your lip feel?” Arvin asked as he tilted your chin up with his pinky.
“Still hurts.” You said as your eyes flickered between his lips and his soft brown eyes. Arvin gulped a little before closing the gap between you and kissing you softly. He could taste blood in his mouth but he didn’t care, choosing to deepen the kiss instead.
“How about now?” Arvin asked when he pulled away.
“A little better.” You smiled as you pulled him by the shirt down into another kiss. It lasted longer this time as Arvin cupped your face with his rough hands.
“And now?” He whispered against your lips.
“It actually really hurts now. I think you opened the cut.” You touched and touched your fingertips to your bleeding lip.
“Yeah. Let me get that.” He grimaced and dabbed the blood away with a clean Cotten ball.
“Why don’t we wait a couple days until my lip heals and then try that again?” You suggested as Arvin tucked some of your hair behind your ear.
“Sounds good to me, doll.” Arvin smiled. “Some things are worth the wait.”

I
“Arvin?”
He didn’t seem to hear you.
“Arvin!” You said a little louder this time, getting his attention. He blinked, snapping his head to your direction, coming face to face with concerned eyes.
“Whatcha yellin’ for?” He asked, adverting his attention back towards the tree in front of him. He took his pocket knife and continued to scrape the bark off the tree, no apparent reason for doing so other than to just do it.
“I asked ya a question.” You scoffed, sitting on the stump next to him.
“I didn’t hear ya, sorry doll.” He apologizes, “Ask away.”
You huffed and just sat there. Arvin has been distracted lately, more than usual. With a background like his and the scarring memories his confusing mind holds, you can’t blame him for much. After all, he witnessed his daddy crucify his poor dog. That would scar anyone.
“What, not talkin’ to me now?” He chuckled, scratching off a large piece of bark.
“Maybe,” you snapped, “Not like ya’d actually listen.”
Arvin stopped chipping away at the tree and finally looked at you. You were looking him dead in the eye, something you did when you wanted him to know your feelings were hurt.
“What are ya mad about now?” He snapped back, his accent seeping into his words even more. You cocked an eyebrow at him. Of course you were going to be dramatic, Arvin thought.
“Now?” You scoffed at him, standing up. You felt invisible to Arvin lately, he’d been so distracted that it was like you were nothing to him.
You were in your backyard woods, doing nothing particular. You and Arvin had been best friends since he moved to town when his parents died. You know Lenora and got close to Arvin through her, she has always conspired to get us together but we always denied the truth. Now, another one of your infamous arguments we’re about to start.
You ignored Arvin and started walking towards your house. You could see it through the trees, it wasn’t far. Arvin watched in confusion.
“Aye!” He shouted after you, putting one foot infront of the other to follow you, “Where are ya going?”
“Go to hell, Arvin!”
He stood there for a second, taking in what you had just said. He was used to you saying mean things when you were angry, but it didn’t make it hurt any less to hear. He couldn’t for the life of him figure out why you were so upset.
As you made it to your back porch, you threw the door open and slammed it shut. Arvin wasn’t too far behind you, calling your name, trying to get you to stop for just a second.
He huffed, getting frustrated with your attitude. He copied your actions, opening the door only to slam it behind him. He could hear your footsteps going towards your room, but no one else’s, meaning your mother must be at the market and your father must be at the diner. Arvin rolled his eyes and rounded the corner to your room.
“Would you sit your ass down and tell me what the hell is goin’ on!” Arvin raised his voice.
“You’ve been driving me crazy for days!” You shouted at him, plopping down to sit on your bed.
“What?” He asked, seemingly confused. You rolled your eyes, not surprised that he is clueless.
“Arv,you have been more distracted these past couple days then I have ever seen anyone! You don’t talk to me anymore, you don’t even look at me!” You explained, too frustrated to say anything else.
Arvin leaned his back against the wall, thinking of a way to get himself out of this one. He couldn’t tell you about this, not this time, no matter the fact that he tells you everything.
“I’m sorry, alright?” He said calmly, standing in your doorway trying to find out what to say next. You sure as hell weren’t going to taking the apology, not right now, anyway.
In the midst of trying to figure out what to say, you flopped down onto your bed with a huff, making your simple sundress ride up the back of your thighs. Arvin tried not to look, he tried to keep his eyes to himself, but the slight slip of your lace panties was enough to make his gaze stick.
There was so denying the romantic tension between you two. Lenora has tried to convince Arvin to ask you out for years now, but eventually gave up due to lack of confidence from Arvin. Lenora knew how badly you fell for Arvin, which is why you care so much and get so angry in situations like this.
Arvin’s mouth grew dry as he had a lump in his throat. You noticed his silence and turned to face him, rolling onto your side. This showcased your hips as your dress laid across your curves. Arvin groaned mentally, resisting the urge to palm himself.
“What’s ya problem?” You joked, “Finally run outta shit to say?”
“Not now, Y/N.” Arvin warned.
“What? Can’t handle me?” You laughed, standing up and walking over to him, “Shame.”
“Knock it off, Y/N.” He growled. Arvin was about to snap. The sexual frustration building up in his body was enough for 10 men to go crazy.
Arvin turned his back to you and started walking way, but you weren’t having it. You ran in-front of him right before he made it to the front door.
“Hell no!” You snapped, “You wanna ignore me? Then you’re gonna deal with hearing my mouth-“
You didn’t get to finish your sentence before a strong hand clasped around your delicate neck, your back pressed roughly against the door in front of him. You gasped, feeling Arvin press his body against yours as you saw red in his eyes.
“Would ya shut the fuck up!” Hateful words seeped past his teeth before he leaned in towards your ear, “Trust me, doll… I’ll show ya what I’d rather ya do with that pretty lil’ mouth.”
His rough whisper was enough to ignite your entire body into flames of desire. Was this finally happening? Was this a confession?
“Ya wanna know what’s had me so distracted?” He laughed menacingly, leaning down just a bit to run the tips of his fingers up past your sundress, making goosebumps spread over your body, “You, sweetheart. Those eyes. This body. Your laugh. It killin’ me to not pin ya against a wall and fuck ya til’ God himself judges my sentence. Ya got me fucked, ya know that? So, so fucked.”
Your eyes were wide as you felt his hand let go of your neck. The absence made you want to cry, the temptation getting worse as he stepped away from your body.
“Now, I’m leavin’. Ain’t gotta see me no more if that’s what ya want. But, I ain’t takin’ back what I said. I love ya, Y/N, I really do.”
You were stunned. Too stunned to speak… how is this real? You couldn’t believe it. For all this time, you had been head over heels in love with this boy, and he is finally reciprocating?
You saw him make his way toward the back door and mentally jumped back into reality. Footsteps running after him, you yanked his arm back, making him turn around with a shocked expression.
“Wh-“ He didn’t get to say much before you cupped his face and crashed your lips onto his. Arvin stumbled back a bit, wide eyed, before his arms wrapped around your body and his eyes fluttered shut. The kiss? Magical. You’ve had your fair share of kisses, but this one was special… because it was Arvin’s lips pressed against yours.
His hand found your hair as another grabbed your hip, pressing you against the nearest wall. His body kept you still as your lips moved fast against his. Arvin groaned into your mouth and the sexual tension was rising fast.
The hand that was in your hair did a harsh tug, making you angle your neck to the side to allow his lips access. Arvin littered your neck with sweet, savory kisses while you whimpered for more,
“Arv,” you panted, “I need you.”
Arvin groaned once more at your words, his eyes just about rolling to the back of his head. He’s waited his entire life to hear those words, and who better to say them then you?
You felt large hands travel under your pretty little sundress and grasp your ass for dear life, holding tight as he lifted you up. You were quick to wrap your legs around him, tightly securing yourself as Arvin made a beeline for your bedroom. This was all going so fast, so hot, so good.
Suddenly, you were no longer against him. Arvin threw you down on the bed, his hands quickly going for your dress. Lifting the hem, he threw it on the floor, doing the same thing with his clothes until he was left in nothing but his underwear. Your nipples were hard against your thin bra and Arvin could have died staring at your body. What he saw in-front of him was handmade from God, and boy, he felt like this was the holiest yet most sinful moment of his life.
“God damn…” he whispered.
“Really, Arv?” You giggled, “Ya gonna talk about the Lord in a time like this?”
“Shut up n’ get over here.” Arvin smiled, grabbing your ankles and pulling your waist to meet his. You squealed, smiling as you watched Arvin’s lips go from your neck to the valley of your breasts, down your stomach, and down to your panties. Your smile faded as your arousal only flourished watching Arvin pull your panties down your legs… with his teeth.
He had a cocky smirk on his face, pulling his own underwear down and kicking them to the side. Suddenly, everything was scary… you’ve never done this before, what were you thinking?
Arvin noticed and his smirk fell, immediately cupping your face in his hands. Did he do something wrong?
“Darlin’?” He asked softly.
“Ya know that I… I never… I haven’t…”
“That’s what yer worried about?” Arvin chuckled slightly, “I love you, Y/N, and ain’t nothin’ gon change that.”
Feeling reassured, you spread your legs a little more around him. Biting your lip, you nodded, grabbing his face and crashing your lips against his once again. Arvin grunted against your lips, moving up on the bed a little more before situating himself between your legs. You took a deep breath in and out, just waiting.
“Ya sure?” Arvin asks, rubbing your thigh. He was always so good with helping you to feel safe.
“Ya, I’m sure.”
In a heartbeat, Arvin pushed himself inside you. You hadn’t taken the time to look at his length, but you were feeling it now, and it hurt.
You winced and hissed quietly, but urged Arvin to continue. He picked up, slowly but surely making his way in and out of you. Arvin felt the pleasure hit him like a bus and immediately pick up his pace even more, which made you feel everything he was feeling.
You gasped, your hands going to his back, digging your nails into it. Arvin was going decently fast now, moving off the bed only to slam back into you. You moaned loudly and arched your back, taking off your bra and throwing it towards Arvin with a giggle. Arvin caught himself fucking you senseless, eyes gawking as your breasts bounced right in front of him, putting on a show.
“Ya feel- fuck!- so good, sweetheart..” he groaned out, making your body tremble in pleasure, “This pussy is mine, ya got that?”
“Y-Yes, Arvin!” You yelled out his name in ecstasy, trying to find solid ground, but failing. The pleasure Arvin was making you feel was unreal and you couldn’t get enough.
Arvin wanted more. He wanted to see you cowering beneath him, all sore and oozing his cum. He wanted to fuck you so hard that you’d feel it every moment of the next day.
Grabbing your hands, Arvin pinned them above your head and grunted as he felt another wave of pleasure spread through him. You arched your back, throwing your head back as the pleasure overwhelmed you. Arvin smirked and pulled all the way out only to slam into you with all his force.
You were a moaning mess as you felt the knot in your stomach grow tighter and tighter. Arvin noticed this and started fucking you even faster. The louder you became, he noticed that it meant you were closer.
“Arvin- I’m gonna-!” You didn’t get to finish your sentence before spewing your fluids all over Arvin’s cock. He jumped in surprise, but kept going, pulling out to cum all over your stomach.
“That was a hell of a go,” you breathed out, panting violently. Arvin was a sexy sight in front of you, sweat glisten down his abs as he stood slumped.
You made eye contact as everything became quiet. Just staring, you both realized this was long overdue. Arvin laid above you without breaking eye contact and kissed you softly, again and again.
It all felt so surreal. You couldn’t stop it before the words came flying-
“I love you.”
Arvin has been waiting to hear those words for years.
“I love you, Y/N.”

In That Dress (t.h)
Tumblr media
summary: y/n's costume at the Holland's annual costume party causes a little issue for tom
a/n: ok this is complete sleep-deprived shit, but i might have broken through my writers' block so yay!
this is based off of a group costume with some friends last halloween, hence the names of y/n's friend group. it's random, but enjoy!
Boyfriend!Tom, Established relationship, fluff, hint of smut
Tumblr media
"I vote Scooby-Doo," says Meg, strolling over to the kitchen and opening up the fridge. "Are you telling me you don't see the likeness between Ant and Scooby? It's uncanny."
You sigh, glancing over at your friends spread over the kitchen table at Tom's house. They'd come over an hour ago to finalise costume plans for the annual Holland costume party this weekend, and not one plan had been made.
"Do I get to be Daphne if we go as Scooby-Doo?" asks Angie. "Wait, what's their group name? The Scooby-Doos? Scooby-Doo crew?" she puts her head in her hands.
"Mystery Inc." mutters Kai, scrolling through his phone. in the corner.
"Okay, we can't be the Scooby-Doo crew because Angie's dyslexia can't cope with it." says Ant, rubbing Angie's back sympathetically. "Why don't we circle back to the Spice Girls idea?"
The rest of the group considers.
"That's actually not a bad idea," agrees Meg.
The conversation pauses as Harrison strolls  in, blinking when he sees the five people unexpectedly in Tom's kitchen.
"Oh, hey Y/N, hey guys." he says. "Uh, I was just popping in to check- uh-"
You roll your eyes at him.
"I won't tell him you were here. I'll just blame it on that racoon that he thinks is breaking in and eating all his food." you say.
He grins.
"Thanks. So, have you guys sorted your costumes for Friday night?" he asks. "Harry and Sam are going as Gru and Dr Nefario, apparently they're the ones to beat."
"That's what we've been trying to do for the last hour and a half," sighs Ant. "Tell me, which Spice Girl do you think I am?"
Harrison snorts, before realising Ant is serious and trying to cover it up as a cough.
"Baby Spice," he answers quickly, blurting out the first Spice Girl that came to mind. "Y/N has to be Ginger Spice, by the way. Tom'll probably cum in his pants."
You clap your hand over your mouth as your friends laugh, wiggling their eyebrows suggestively.
"Why? Why would he do that?"
Harrison shrugs.
"He was borderline obsessed with her for a while when we were teenagers." he says. "Couldn't really explain it. Later, guys!" he calls as he slinks out the back door.
Tumblr media
The music pumps from downstairs, vibrating the carpeted floor as you pull on your white knee-high boots. Nikki had been kind enough to let you and your friends borrow her bedroom to get ready for the costume party. Slipping a redheaded wig on your head, you glance in the mirror as Angie pokes her head around the door from the ensuite bathroom.
"Y/N!" she calls. "Tuwaine just texted to tell us we're up next, are you ready?"
You nod, applying one more coat of red lipstick as you follow her down the hall. Your group gathers on the landing, just around the corner from the top of the staircase. Right on cue, the lights go out, bringing a few gasps from the partygoers at the bottom of the stairs. In the darkness you find your places, posed as the group and giggling as you bump into each other. Somewhere downstairs, someone adjusts the music and ‘Spice Up Your Life' begins to play loudly. The lights come on and you strut down the stairs as a group, eliciting cheers and whistles from the partygoers. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, you pose one last time as Harry snaps a few photos, struggling to operate his camera with his fake Gru nose in the way.
As the group breaks apart, Tom pushes his way to the front and brings you into an embrace. You don't miss the way his eyes take in your costume, his breath hitching in his throat at the tight fitting dress, glittery sequins making up the Union Jack flag and accentuating your curves perfectly. He rests his hands on your hip, careful not to spill his beer on your outfit as he leans in close.
"You're so sexy in that get-up, love." he whispers, lips brushing against your ear. "Can barely keep my hands off of you."
He peppers tiny kisses over your neck, pushing you gently to the side of the room. He backs you up against the living room wall, bumping into people dancing on his way. You moan quietly, threading your fingers through his dark curls as he gently ruts his hips into yours, hoping to find some kind of friction.
"Tom! Y/N!" calls Sam, rolling his eyes and pushing his way through the crowd towards the two of you. "Stop feeling each other up in public and come see Harrison and Grace's costume!"
He disappears into the moving crowd and you push Tom off gently, beginning to follow Sam. Tom doesn't move from where he's still facing the wall, pulling you back by the hand.
"Y/N!" he hisses. "I can't go right now."
You frown, gently tugging on his hand.
"I want to go see Harrison and Grace's costumes. Apparently they were coming as Titanic and the iceberg, and I’ve got to see how they pulled that one off."
"Y/N, I can't go right now." he whines, blushing furiously and turning to the wall even more as an aunt of his walks past, nodding at the two of you. You give her a polite smile before pulling Tom to face you by the shoulders. You bite your lip to keep from laughing as Tom pouts at you. It seems he was telling the truth when he said he enjoyed your outfit. The tent in his pants said that all too clearly.
"You've gotta help me baby," he whines, attempting to cover himself with his hands. They're gonna bring out the food soon and all my family are gonna see!"
You rest your head on his shoulder as you laugh, trying to control yourself enough to assess the situation.
"Do you think if we hang out here for a minute, Little Tom will go away on his own?" you ask.
Tom shakes his head, turning towards the wall in shame again.
"Not while you're in that dress." he blushes.
You roll your eyes affectionately, glancing around to make sure no one's paying too much attention. You stand in front of him, wrapping your arms around his neck and shielding the front of his body as you begin to guide him up the stairs towards his old bedroom before anyone will notice.
"You owe me, Holland."

Tumblr media
Pulling into the driveway of mine and my boyfriend's shared apartment, I let out a sigh of relief. I'm finally home, so I can now kick off my shoes and relax. I stop my car, take my keys, and open the door. The stairs are only a few feet away but, with how tired I am, they seem like their one thousand feet away. Non the less, I make my way up the blocks of death. My bag is making my shoulder sore and the heels I was wearing were making my feet feel like they were on fire.
The worst part was, I wasn't even halfway up the god damn stairs! All I wanted to do was lay down with my arms wrapped around the love of my life! Was that too much to ask for? Letting out a groan, I keep making my way up the stairs before I hear a voice that sounded awfully familiar.
"Darling? Is that you?" I hear a thick british accent say from behind me. Turning around, I see my boyfriend holding his phone and a brown paper bag. His hair was in it's natural, curly, state and was falling in his face. He was wearing a brown sweater with a black blazer over it. I was assuming that was from the photoshoot he was doing today.
"Yeah lovey, it's me!" I smile down at him. Tom quickly rushes to my side and takes the heavy bag from my shoulder.
"Stay here, y/n. Don't move!" He demands with his cute "listen to me" look. You'd think that'd make him look intimidating but, it just made me want to hug him more. Before I could question what he was doing, he runs up the stairs and disappears into the dark hallway. I'm just standing there, in heels, on a cement stair case wondering what the hell my boyfriend was doing. After a minute or so, Tom comes running back down the stairs.
"Thomas what are you- ahhh." I squeal as he picks me up, bridal style, and starts to carry me up the steps.
"Tom! What are you doing?" I ask through a giggle.
"'m just carrying my beautiful girlfriend up to our apartment." He replies with an adorable smile.
"But why?" I tilt my head up at the brown-haired boy.
"Because, look at your shoes. I bet they really hurt." He explains bringing his forehead to touch mine. I mentally "aww" as we make it inside our shared home. He carries me all the way back to our bedroom and gently lays me down on the bed.
"You go ahead and change, okay? I'm gonna make us dinner." I have the best boyfriend.
"Aww, baby you are so cute!" I gush, sitting up on my knees to connect our lips. He deepens the kiss by pressing his hand to the back of my head. Before we got to much into it, he pulls away.
"Go get into something comfortable, darling." He says against my lips. Smiling,I start to take my shoes off as Tom exits the room. To be completely honest, I wasn't really hungry. I just want to cuddle with Tom. Finally touch him after a long day at work. Lord knows Tom is probably exhausted too.
He probably had like, five different guys shouting at him to pose a certain way or make a certain face. Once I'm finally dressed in Tom's pink hoodie and some shorts, I make my way over to the bathroom to take my makeup off. It felt so refreshing to finally get all of the powder and foundation off of my face. Throwing away the makeup wipe I just used, I make my way into the kitchen. Tom was standing in front of the counter with his head hanging low. He looked tense.
"Hey lovey, what's wrong?" I ask, coming up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist, and resting my chin on his shoulder. He loosened up a bit with that small action. Tom's hand comes up to grab mine and he turns around. Leaning on the counter he takes my other hand in his free one. With both of my hands in his, he brings them up to his lips and presses a loving kiss on them.
"I'm just really worn out, sweetheart. I don't know if I'll be able to make dinner, I'm so sorry." He looked disappointed but, I just smiled and pulled him closer to me.
"It's okay, honey. We can just order something, you need to rest just as much as I do. How about you go and change and I'll put up the groceries while ordering some pizza! How's that sound?" Tom smiles down at me and moves a piece of hair out of my face.
"That sounds great...I really missed you, baby. I've been missing your touch all day." He whines connecting his forehead to mine again. My arms come up and wrap around his neck and I bump our noses together.
"Same Tom, I've missed you as well. I missed your cuddles!" I explain through a giggle. Tom chuckled as well before connecting our lips again. The kiss was passionate and needy in a way. He turns us around so that my back hit the counter. His hands travel to the bottoms of my thighs, signaling for me to jump up on the counter. Tom's arms are on either side of me now, trapping me between him and the cabinets.
Tom's lips travel down to my neck but, before it escalated I wanted to play around a bit. So, I gently push him away and whisper.
"Go get into something comfortable, darling." Mocking what he said to me earlier. He chuckled, understanding what I was doing before pushing himself off the counter and turning around to make his way to our room. I jump off the counter and start doing the tasks I said I would do. My phone was in between my ear and my shoulder as I put groceries away.
Once I was finished I plopped down on the couch. Out of nowhere I feel someone tackle me, forcing me to lay on my back.
"Ahh, Thomas what the hell?!" I yell and laugh at the same time. He starts pecking my cheek, nose, forehead, neck, and then finally my lips.
"I wanna touch you!" He says with a pout.
"Fine you whinny fucker, let's cuddle!" I joke before wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling his head down to rest in the crook of my neck. Feeling his eyes flutter shut, I start running my fingers through his hair.
"You smell good." A small laugh escapes my lips as he starts sniffing my neck more.
"You're weird, you know that right?" I shake him a little and then close my eyes.
"Hey, y/n guess what?" Tom says, I respond with a him, my eyes still shut.
"Now my whole week is golden." He explains lifting his head to smile down at me.
"What from cuddling?" I ask, my face heating up from his cuteness.
"mhmm" he says before nuzzling his head back into my neck. Honestly, so was mine. I feel like I was glowing. My love for Tom is like no other. All of us need just a touch of Tom's love.

I’ll Follow You Into The Dark
“Same fill up as usual?” Arvin asks as you pull up to the gas station where he works.
“I suppose so,” you smile as you roll down your window. “You know, my Pa is sore at you.”
“Sore at me? For what?” he asks, pushing the pump nozzle into your gas tank. “I worked off my debt, didn’t I?”
“You worked off your debt, but you stopped comin’ around.”
“What else is there for me to come around for?”
“I don’t know, probably thought you’d man up and ask me out,” you say with a wry smile.
“I did man up and ask you out,” he chuckles, removing the nozzle once the machine ‘tings’.
“I know that- but he doesn’t.”
“You ready for your parents to know?”
“Not really. But you could still come around.”
“Come around and do what?”
“I don’t know, maybe fix a chifferobe or two? Fix up the sink in the kitchen?”
“You know I have to pickup Lenora after school.”
“Who told you not to? Hell, bring her with you.”
“Yeah? Then what happens after I run out of things to fix?” he smirks, leaning against the drivers side door.
“Maybe make an honest woman out of me, and ask me out on a real date? In front of my parents.”
“Maybe-”
“By maybe, I mean do it.”
“You’ll be ready for that?”
“Ready for my Mama and all of her hollerin’ about a weddin’ date and havin’ babies? Never,” you laugh softly, “but I’m ready to be with you. Really be with you. Besides, as handy as you are, you can’t be that fast at fixin’ things.”
“Well, now I have a bit more of a push to work faster,” he laughs before dipping down and kissing you. “I love you, Y/N.”
“I love you too, Arvin,” you sigh, always wanting more of him but never asking as Sheriff Lee Bodecker pulls up behind you, obnoxiously honking his horn. “What a prick. Hey, what are you doin’ tonight?”
“Goin’ home and helpin’ my grandmother with last minute prep for some Spring thing they’re havin’ at church this weekend.”
“Well, do you think she’d protest to you staying out a little later tonight?”
“What do you have in mind?”
“There’s gonna be a little get together at Tim’s,” you sigh as the Sheriff honks his horn again. You lean out the open window, turn around, and give him the finger. Sheriff or not, he can still kiss both sides of your ass.
“Y/N, don’t-” he sheepishly protests.
“I haven’t done anythin’ besides bruise his ego, don’t worry about him. What do you say? Come tonight-”
“Lenora-”
“It’ll only be for a few hours, she’ll be fine. I miss you.”
“I miss you too,” he smiles as the sheriff honks his horn again. “I’ll meet you there-”
“My parents have dinner plans with a friend, pick me up.”
“Fine, I’ll pick you up,” he laughs before kissing your forehead. “Go before you get yourself in real trouble.”
“Tell me what I wanna hear or I’ll stay right here.”
“You’re a real trouble maker, you know that? I love you.”
“And I love you, Arvin,” you smile before turning over the engine and its pistons fire. “I’ll see you tonight, and you better not stand me up,” you warn, sounding as foreboding as possible.
“As if I ever could,” he calls back as you pull away.
As you slowly wind onto the familiar roads back home, car full of gas and back seat full of groceries, you smile to yourself at the ideas you hope come true tonight.
**
You sit at the kitchen in Tim’s house, looking around the room, holding your beer close. Arvin called and told you that he wouldn’t be able to pick you up because there was something going on with Lenora, his grandmother, and uncle, but that he’d meet you. He promised he’d meet you.
Well, you’ve been at Tim’s now for 2 hours and there’s still no sign of him. You’re irritation grows by the second; the night wasn’t going at all as you had planned, and you were growing more and more uncomfortable as more guys hit on you. Yeah, you’re only three beers in, but that doesn’t stop the steadying uneasiness in your stomach.
All of that and Devin won’t stop performing Johnny Cash songs on his acoustic guitar. The way he was performing, you’d think that The Man in Black invented country music itself.
“Now ma’am,” a guy who can’t be that much older than you smiles as he approaches,“I’ve been watching you sit alone here all night. You get stood up or somethin’?”
“No,” you smile sweetly, “my boyfriend is on his way. He’s just finishin’ up some work at home.”
“I’d make you a priority over any work I have.”
“Well, that’s very sweet of you, but he’ll be here soon.”
“You sure you don’t wanna make him jealous with a little dance?”
“No, I don’t think that would turn out great for anyone,” you smile as you start shifting uncomfortably. ‘Arvin and his temper are nothing to toy with, it’s best not to test those waters’ you think to yourself.
“What’s the danger in one dance?” he eggs on, moving closer to you.
“I believe the lady said no,” Arvin interjects, hand on the guy’s shoulder as he forces his attention onto him and away from you. You quickly stand up as the anger on his face is very apparent. “Or did you not understand?”
“You’re the one who ditched her, pal. Don’t get mad at me because-”
“Let’s not do this tonight,” you interrupt, standing between Arvin’s temper and its target as well as the two men. “I said no, you’re here now, and that’s that. Let’s all just go our own separate ways,” you smile sweetly.
“You’ll be sorry,” the guy scoffs before stalking off.
“Hey...hey,” you call to Arvin as his angry gaze follows the guy “relax. Everythin’ is fine-”
“He been hasslin’ you all night?” he asks flatly.
“No, he just-”
“Why would you wear that?” he asks, finally looking at your outfit.
“I don’t know, maybe ‘cause I thought you would like it,” you snap back, feeling irritated and stupid at the same time, wishing you hadn’t thrown your jacket in Tim’s bedroom. “Are you just gonna be an ass the whole night, or are you gonna tell me what’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry,” he sighs, picking up your beer and taking a swig “it’s nothin’ you’ve done. You look great and I love you....Lenora is acting strange and we can’t figure out what the hell to do.”
“Strange how?”
“She’s closed off and she’s been sick a lot. Shes been spending more time with that preacher everyone’s so riled up about and now she just seems...something is wrong.”
“Well did you-”
“I’m sorry, can we go somewhere else?” he asks, a scowl on his face. “If I hear one more Johnny Cash song, I’m going to punch myself in the face.”
“Let me grab my jacket and we can go.”
“Fuck, your car! I’m so sorry-”
“I’ll drive back to my parents house and we can just drive around. Maybe go to Linda’s. She never closes that damn diner.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Stop apologizin’. Let me get my jacket and we can go,” you smile at him.
You quickly grab your jacket and tell your few friends goodnight as Arvin practically drags you out of the house. When you get in your car and start it while waiting for Arvin, you can’t help but laugh when ‘Jackson’ starts playing on the radio. Death, taxes, Jonny Cash: some things are inescapable.
The drive back to your house is quick and easy. Your parents are surprisingly still out at their dinner party, so you quickly run into your house and drop off your keys. You write them a quick note, leaving it on the kitchen table. The note tells them you’ll be spending the night at Sarah’s because they don’t always need to know whole truths. You quickly slip out the front door and hop up into Arvin’s pickup.
“You sure I’m not gettin’ you into trouble?” he asks as he pulls off quickly.
“No one is home, baby,” you laugh, “I left them a note saying I’m staying over at Sarah’s.”
“You told Sarah?”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“Why would you?”
“Arvin, what is goin’ on with you?”
“Nothin’,” he sighs, gripping the steering wheel tighter as he starts to drive faster.
“Don’t do that. Don’t shut me out.”
“It would just be nice to see you and not be angry about somethin’.”
“Okay, but you are angry about somethin’ right now and I’d rather know then not. What’s going on?”
“You trust preachers? he asks, quickly glancing at you before returning his gaze back to the road.
“Aren’t we supposed to?”
“You know what I mean,” he huffs before turning into the parking lot of the local liquor store. “I’ll be right back.”
“Arvin-”
“It’ll only take a minute, baby,” he sighs before getting out, hustling his way inside.
You sigh and sit back. Your mind racing as you try and figure out just what the hell is going on. You groan in frustration when you look to your left and see Sheriff Bodecker pulling up beside you. You look up to God and ask him what you did to deserve a day like this as the dirt in the parking lot kicks up into your vision.
“You know, underage drinking is a chargeable offense,” he muses aloud as he gets out of his cop car.
“Lucky for me, I’m not drinking. As if you care,”
“It is my job.”
“It didn’t seem like you cared about your job two months ago when you told me I can fuck you to keep my Daddy’s business open,” you crack back, eyes squinting as your glare sharpens.
“He still has $600 left to pay,” he smirks, inching closer to Arvin’s truck.
“Well, lets hope he comes up with it.”
“You know, a lot of women would be-”
“Is everythin’ okay here?” Arvin asks as he pulls the truck door open. “Sheriff, anythin’ wrong?”
“Just letting your lovely passenger know that her Daddy should come and see me when he gets the chance,” he smiles sweetly, patting the door two times before noticing at the bag of booze in his hand. “That for you, boy?”
“My Uncle asked me to pick it up on my way back,” Arvin lied coolly as you smile to yourself.
“Sure he did. You two have fun tonight, stay safe.”
“Will do,” Arvin fake smiles before starting his truck, pulling away, and driving off.
“I swear to God, I could slit his throat,” you mumble, digging into the bag of booze Arvin bought in and grabbing a beer. “Piece of shit.”
“What the hell happened back there?”
“Nothin’ to worry about,” you huff, taking a swig of your drink.
“No, if I don’t get to shut you out, you don’t get to shut me out.”
“Arvin-”
“What’s going on, Y/N?”
“You know my Daddy has a gambling problem.”
“Lose too much at Madame Duffy’s again?”
“Well yeah, but this time he lost too much to Sheriff Bodecker.”
“That must be a bitch.”
“It wasn’t too bad, we’ve been makin’ good money at the meat shop lately, but Bodecker doesn’t feel like he’s getting paid back quick enough,” you sigh, finishing off your beer before grabbing another.
“What does that mean?” Arvin growls as he grips the steering wheel tighter, knuckles whitening.
“He propositioned me,” you laugh humorlessly. “If I fuck him, I can get rid of my Daddy’s debt..”
His face tenses up like he swallowed some bad milk. “He said what?!” Arvin questions, braking screaming as they the truck screeches to a swerving stop.
“I don’t want to think about it, Arvin. I-”
“I swear to God I’ll kill him.”
“Baby, I’m having a good time with you. I don’t want to think about anything else. I just want us to focus on each other and right now,” you smile as Hank Williams starts to play on the radio. “Let’s just be happy, okay? Tomorrow and all of its bullshit can worry about itself.”
“I love you, you know that?”
“I think I do,” you giggle as you settle back into your seat and take a sip of your beer.
You met Arvin your first year of High School. He didn’t much like people, and people didn’t think highly of him either. Kids were cruel and would constantly poke fun at his upbringing: how his daddy was a deranged war vet who killed himself, and how his Mama’s cancer was the result of a punishment from God for his father almost killing two men one morning for reasons unknown. He was often in a lot of fights, and you had been told by your parents on more than one occasion to stay away from him.
“Boys like that only bring trouble and that’s nothing you need to get messed up in,” your Mama would say as she dropped you off at school.
You always found it funny that she had that mentality considering that her husband, your Daddy, is the biggest gambler in the county and, for a while, its biggest womanizer. However, you always bit your tongue and minded your manners. You knew she meant well so it was best for you to just keep your mouth shut and nod in agreement.
However, as time went on, your eyes always found themselves searching for him in class, and you found it harder and harder to heed your parents warning. His eyes always looked so tired and sad. He had soft facial features, but you could tell he was good with his hands just by looking at them. They always looked worn and calloused. He always made sure to use “sir” and “ma’am” when addressing your parents whenever he went to your Daddy’s meat shop to pick up food. You watched how he protected and looked out for Lenora, and it really got you thinking, “he can’t be all that bad if he can love that much.”
During your Junior year, you finally found a reason to talk to him.
“Your Uncle good with cars?” you asked him one day after class, catching him as he was about to leave.
“Excuse me?”
“Your Uncle. How is he with cars?”
“Pretty good, usually.”
“Think he’d be willing to fix my Daddy’s truck? Somethin’ about a fan belt or other. He’ll pay him good money.”
“I’ll ask him when I get home,” Arvin smiled.
“Here, give my Daddy a call with your answer,” you responded quickly, surprised your plan worked out so well. You tore out a piece of paper from your notebook and quickly wrote down your home phone number. “Best time to call is around 6.”
“I’ll remember that,” he smiled at you, taking the piece of paper from you and putting it in his front pocket.
“Thank you, Arvin,” you smiled playfully before turning to walk away.
“My pleasure,” he responded softly, looking you over before walking off in the other direction.
Your daddy wasn’t pleased with you for going against his wishes, but it’s not like he could really make any argument.
“Do you have the money to pay Earl for it?” you asked as you tidied up the shop.
“Y/N, mind your manners,” your Mama snapped.
“I’m not sayin’ anythin’ wrong,” you defended. “We need the truck for deliveries. If he can’t afford Earl, we’re gonna have to go to someone else. Arvin’s Uncle won’t be expecting as much as Earl, if he even agrees. He’ll be doing you a favor.”
Your Daddy was thoughtful before he spoke. “If he decides to fix up the truck, I don’t want you talkin’ to that boy. Understand?”
“Yes sir,” you sighed before removing your apron. “I’ve finished up here, so I’m gonna head home and start my homework.”
“I want you to go straight home,” your Mama quips. “Dinner is all ready, you just need to heat it up.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Anyone calls-”
“I know, Mama,” you sighed “leave it on the notepad on the kitchen counter.”
“Is that an attitude I hear?”
“No ma’am, but you tell me the same thing every day. I forgot one message one time-”
“And look what a world of mess that caused.”
“It’s not my fault Daddy gambled away that money!”
“Don’t you sass me, young lady!” your Mama snapped, spinning around quick. Daddy glared silently at the wall, biting his lower lip to keep quiet.
You thought of defending yourself, but it would only make things worse. “Yes Mama,” you conceded softly, “I’ll see you when you get home.”
You heard her sigh as you went to leave and you knew she felt bad, but it’s the same as always. Her frustration wasn’t with you, it was with your Daddy and his inability to get his shit together. However, you’re not allowed to live in your frustrations long. The phone rang at six o clock exactly, as soon as the grandfather clock started its chimes; you practically ran to answer it.
“Hello?”
“Y/N? Are you okay?” Arvin asked a little worried.
“I’m fine, I’m fine. Just ran to make sure I didn’t miss the phone,” you laughed breathlessly. “H-how are you?”
“I’m fine, yourself?”
“I’m fine.”
“....your Daddy home?”
“Uh no, he and my Mama won’t be home till 6:30.”
“Oh, I thought you said 6 was the best time to call. I’m-”
“I did say 6. I’m home alone and done with my homework every day by 6.”
“Oh,” he responded softly and you could hear the smile in his tone.
“What did your Uncle say?”
“He said he’d be happy to do it. He’ll talk prices when he sees the condition of the truck.”
“Will you be comin’ with him?”
“I can.”
“I-I think you should. You can help him, cause my Daddy is useless. Plus, knowin’ my Mama, she’ll whip up somethin’ as her way of sayin’ thanks.”
“Will you be there?”
“I will,” you smiled to yourself.
“Guess I’ll see you tomorrow then.”
“Tomorrow it is,” you almost sang before hanging up.
And that’s how it started.
He showed up with his Uncle the next day, bright and early, and you did your best to not stare too long. Your Daddy had been keeping an eye on you, only letting you go over to them when your Mama finished making a lunch for both Arvin and his Uncle. Since it was Saturday, you had pinned your hair up into a tidy ponytail and put on one of your better dresses. Your parents thought nothing of it since Saturdays were the busiest days. They always wanted you to look your best when helping out around the store.
Arvin could barely focus on the truck he was supposed to be helping his Uncle with.
The following Monday, he called at exactly 6 and you two stayed on the phone right up until your parents pulled into the driveway. Then he called the next night, and the next, and the next...
Finally, two weeks later, he sat next to you at lunch.
“I like your dress,” he commented softly after a beat.
“All the talks we’ve had on the phone, and you start off with that?”
“Well, this is different,” he laughed, “besides, I know you aren’t even supposed to be speakin’ to me.”
“I don’t care.”
“Don’t start that. You don’t need another reason for your Mama to start gettin’ into you.”
“As if she needs a reason nowadays,” you huffed. “My Daddy’s been off trying to win back money he lost, and in the process he’s just making it worse. Almost put the store out of business. Apparently, that’s also my fault for not pullin’ my weight in the store.”
“Haven’t you been goin’ in on Sundays?”
“Doesn’t matter. Still my fault.”
“You’ll be out of there soon enough, Darlin’,” he sighed, taking your hand in his.
After that, you two were inseparable, much to the dismay of many of the guys at school.
“Bet your Daddy doesn’t know you’re fuckin’ that Russell kid,” spat Tyler, one of the most popular boys at school, as you started on your way home from your parents meat shop.
“I’m not doin’ anythin’ with anyone. You mind your business and stay away from me,” you fire back.
You and Arvin really hadn’t done anything. He was a gentleman, despite what the people in town thought, and he wanted to ask for permission to date you before anything happened between you two.
“Bet I can fuck you better than he can,” he smirked.
“Leave me alone, Higgins.”
“Awh what’s wrong? Prettiest girl in the county getting worked up by-”
“She said to leave her alone,” Arvin repeated as he slammed his car door shut.
“The fuck you gonna do about it, Russell?!” Tyler yelled back.
Before you could get between the two of them, Arvin’s fist blasted Tyler’s face.
“Arvin stop!” you yelled, standing back, trying to get away from the violent scene in front of you.
It was like he was another person; a transformation in plain sight. Tyler tried to fight back, but Arvin was on him like a bat out of hell. Tyler stumbled back but Arvin propped him up, only to shove him through one of the window’s of your parent’s store.
“Arvin, that’s enough!” you yelled, starting to cry. No, you hadn’t particularly cared for Tyler Higgins, but the amount of blood that was everywhere had you feeling sympathetic for the giant asshole.
“When a woman tells you to leave her alone, you leave her alone!” he huffed, punching him again as your Daddy tried his best to pull him off of the now bloodied and badly beaten boy. “Now apologize, to the woman!”
“I’m...I’m sorry!” he tries to mumble through swollen lips.
“I’m sorry who?!”
“I’m sorry, Y/N!”
“That’s more like it now. Don’t ever do it again, you hearin’ me?! Or I promise you’ll be sorry,” Arvin spat, before finally releasing the boy and watching him crumble to the ground in a heap.
Your Mama was instantly at the boy’s side, trying to tend to his wounds, and make sure that he was okay.
“I’m real sorry about your window, I’ll pay for it as soon as I can,” Arvin panted, facing your father, before turning his gaze on you. The sight of you shaking and crying truly broke his heart. You had been the first person outside of his family to treat him right and give a damn about him, and now you were just looking at him with pure fear in your eyes. He hadn’t meant to lose control like that, but seeing someone make you that upset set him off. Now you were probably just as afraid of him as you had been of Tyler Higgins.
However, your Daddy was seeing things in a new light after that.
“He put that boy in the hospital,” your Mama repeated later that night, exasperated as she took a sip of whiskey.
“Yeah he did, but that boy was makin’ our little girl upset. The way he spoke to her...I’m just sayin, if that Arvin boy is gonna protect her like that, she can at least be friends with him.”
“And how about the damn window?”
“He can work that off by fixin’ things up around the shop. Said he’d pay for it, but you know what it’s like at that age-”
“We ain’t got enough money for you to-”
“Goddamit! I’ll make the money back, now enough about it!”
“You know what? I’m done trying to keep things afloat, you dumb son of a bitch!” your Mama yells before getting up and storming off.
That was one of the loudest you can remember your house getting at night.
You kept your distance from Arvin for a while after that. You wouldn’t even let him drive you to your parents meat shop after school, even though you were both headed in the same direction. He watched you with the saddest eyes; it really had broken your heart. However, you promised yourself you’d never be with anyone who couldn’t control their temper. You’d seen what blind rage could do a few times, when Daddy would lose his temper with your Mama. The cleanup afterwards was always gut wrenching and traumatizing. While you never thought Arvin would put his hands on you, you didn’t want to risk it. You didn’t want to be around any of it if you didn’t have to.
However, as fate would have it, you two ended up alone in his car one evening. Your Daddy asked him to drive you home so you wouldn’t have to walk in the pouring rain, which you appreciated because the rain was a deluge.
“Well, thank you,” you said softly as he pulled up to your parent’s house.
“Y/N, please wait,” he called softly, resting his hand on your arm.
“Arvin, the rain is gettin’ worse and I don’t want you to-”
“Please just...I am so sorry about what happened. You have no idea-”
“It’s like you weren’t even yourself,” you say, your voice sounding small to your own ears.
“I know and I’m sorry. I try my hardest not to lose control but when I saw how uncomfortable you looked and how frightened...I just wanted to take care of you. I wasn’t even supposed to be there, but I wanted to pick some food up for my grandmother...seeing you...how was I not supposed to react?”
“You can’t lose control like that, Arvin.”
“I know, I know. I’m so sorry. I’ve missed you so much and I love you...God, I love you so much. I promise-”
“You what?” you interrupted, not believing you heard his admission correctly.
“Y/N, I love you so much. I didn’t wanna say anythin’ because we’re still figurin’ this out, but I swear to you...I do love you.”
You didn’t even stop to think as you leaned across the console and cupped his face in your hands and kissed him. It hadn’t dawned on you that he reacted out of wanting to protect you instead of reacting out of sheer jealousy. No one had ever really gotten to know you because they wanted to understand you, they just wanted to get in your pants. Arvin let you get to know him and he got to know you. He took the time to learn what you loved, what scared you, what made you happy, and what made you sad. He had held you close on multiple occasions at school, when you felt overwhelmed and started to cry. He’d even gone so far as to sneak into your house when everyone was asleep to make sure you were okay.
The more you thought about it, the more it all started to make better sense. Arvin truly did love you and you were finally allowing yourself to admit that you loved him.
But there was still that temper.
“You can’t ever hurt me,” you sob breathlessly as you two breakaway from each other.
“Darlin’, I would never do anythin’ to hurt you,” he responded softly, wiping your tears away.
“Arvin, I mean it. The minute you raise your hand to me, I’m walkin’-”
“Hey, listen to me,” he coaxed sincerely, “I will never lose control on you like that. I’m not your Daddy, Y/N. I won’t gamble our future away, I won’t sleep with other women while you’re at home waitin’ for me, and I won’t ever hurt a hair on your head. I love you, Y/N. I swear I’ll never do anythin’ to make you doubt that.” He pulled you in for another kiss, but stopped short and pulled something from the backseat. “I got these for you,” he smiled, handing you a few lilies that he tied to together into a mini bouquet. “ A small token of how sorry I really am.”
“I love them,” you beamed at him, taking in their scent.
“I love you, Y/N,”
“And I love you, Arvin.”
You brought him inside of the house after that, because the rain was relentless and there was no way you were letting him drive in such a downpour. Your parents called to let you know that they would be staying in the bedroom above the meat shop because the weather was so bad. You asked them if it was okay for Arvin to stay over since the storm wasn’t going to let up anytime soon.
“Y/N-”
“Mama, I’ll feel awful if he drives home in this. You clearly know how bad it, cause you and Daddy aren’t even coming home. I’ll sleep in your room and he can sleep in mine.”
“I’m sure he’s a capable driver-”
“Just let the boy stay over for goodness sake,” your Daddy slurred in the background.
You heard your Mama let out a frustrated sigh and you knew she wasn’t going to get her way. “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t approve of.”
“Yes Mama. I love you.”
“I love you,” she responded softly before hanging up.
That night, you cooked up a few pieces of chicken and split leftover mashed potatoes between the two of you.
“Your Mama teach you how to cook?” Arvin asked, after making his third plate of food.
“Actually my grandmother did,” you smiled. “She would let me stay at her house for a while when things got too out of control here.”
“Well, she did an amazing job,” he smiled at you.
Afterwords, you both sat out on the deck, drinking a small cup of gin while Arvin had a smoke and held you in his arms. You don’t think you’d ever felt so happy in your life. When it was time for you two to say goodnight, that proved to be harder than you expected.
“These should be okay,” you smiled at him, handing him a pair of your Daddy’s pajama pants.
“Sure you can’t stay in here with me?”
“After how hard it was for me to stop myself while we were on the couch, I think it’s best for me to sleep in my parents room,” you giggled, toying with your fingers.
“I guess that’s fair,” he smiled before walking up close and wrapping his arms around you. “I love you.”
“I love you,” you smiled before kissing him.
Your arms were around him in no time and he holding you as close he could. When you felt him start to get excited, you knew you need to stop before it goes too far.
“I’m sorry,” he laughed breathless, leaning his forehead against yours.
“It’s fine,” you smiled “I should be gettin’ to bed anyway.”
“Goodnight, Darlin’.”
“Goodnight,” you smiled.
You tossed and turned in your parents bed for hours that night, trying to push out all of the thoughts your Mama would have made you repent for. But it was no use. It was around 2am when you found yourself walking to your bedroom.
“Hey,” you called softly from the doorway, butterflies turning into moths inside your stomach.
“Can’t sleep either, huh?” he laughed, turning over to see you.
He was laying shirtless in your bed and you knew that if didn’t turn back in that moment, you’d disappoint the hell out of your parents. But you couldn’t find it in yourself to care. “Think I can stay in here with you?”
“You sure that’s what you want?
“I am.”
The moment you got under the covers, his lips were on yours and his fingers were exploring every inch of your body. You had done a few things, but nothing this intimate, and you had never been so excited. It didn’t take Arvin long to get you undressed and begging beneath him.
“Have a you ever done this before?” he asked, looking down at you while stroking himself in his hand.
“No,” you responded softly, suddenly feeling small.
“It’s okay, baby. I just want you to be sure this is what you want. I can stop if you need more time.”
“N-no, I want this with you, tonight. I’m ready,” you said, more to yourself than him.
He pressed two fingers into your greedy channel, and that had you moaning and rolling your hips against his. “Shit, I’m trying to get you ready for me, Darlin’,” he rasped, closing his eyes and quickening his pace.
“Feels so good,” you moan beneath him, squirming as something inside you started to build up. “Arvin...I...I-”
“That’s okay Sweetheart, just hang on to me,” he breathed, trying to keep a steady pace as you gripped his arms and dug your nails in.
You let out a pitiful moan when you felt a wave of pleasure wash over you. You watched as the beautiful boy above you was doing his best to make this as enjoyable for you as possible, but his face was the true testament to how hard he was trying to contain himself. He dipped down and started to kiss on your neck, doing his best to not mark you up, as he continued to fuck into you with his fingers. When he started to trail hungry kisses down to your breasts, that had you weeping for him and pulling at his hair.
He took one of your nipples into his mouth, sucking and licking on it like it was his most favorite candy in the world. He used his thumb to make little circles on your clit, and you couldn’t believe the words that were coming out of your mouth. Your body felt it was being hit with waves of electricity all at once and you didn’t want it to stop. You needed more of him.
“Baby please,” you pathetically begged, after he brought you off for a second time.
It was the first time showing the wicked grin that earned you his love.
“You sure you’re ready?”
“Arvin please,” you whined “I need you so much, please!”
He kissed his way slowly up your body, his ego loving how desperate and needy you were for him to break him apart in a new way. However, your begging and desperate cries soon turn into painful hisses and choked breaths when he replaces his fingers slowly with his cock.
That had him feeling terrible.
“I’m sorry, baby,” he cooed into your ear, before kissing your cheek. “I’m so sorry.”
“Holy fuck!” you cried out, feeling him stretch you out in the most painful way you’ve ever felt.
“Want me to stop?”
“No no, I-I can handle it,” you sobbed out.
“It’ll feel so good, I swear,” he coaxed, kissing away your tears that you were trying to stop from falling.
You closed your eyes and tried to focus on anything other than the pain, as he continued to plow slowly within you. You didn’t think it would get any better, and you were thinking that you’d never wanna do it again, until something inside you burst. After a few more uncomfortable thrusts, the pain was starting to get replaced by something more euphoric.
“Oh my God,” you moaned, your grip on his shoulders tightening. “Baby...oh fuck!”
“Yeah?” he smirked down at you. “Feelin’ better?” he asked, picking up the pace.
“Please don’t stop,” you begged, clawing at his back.
“Never needed someone so much,” he groaned, sliding a finger between you two and starting to rub your clit.
“Fuck!” you mewled, your legs wrapping around him instinctively, clenching your eyes shut at the added pleasure.
“I love you so much, Y/N” he huffed, rubbing faster as he starts fucking you desperately, like he’s afraid you’ll disappear in a moment. “I’ll never do anything to scare you like that again,” he promised, before dipping down and kissing you.
His kiss swallowed your pathetic moans as he brought you off again, loving the way you seemed to melt beneath him. Once your grip on him loosened a bit, he was back to assaulting your neck with his tongue. You gripped his hair, feeling your body starting to tighten again.
“I don’t think I can take much more” you whimpered, your body feeling numb from all the pleasure coursing through you.
“Please, just one more time for me,” he pleads, his own movements becoming erratic. “I love the way you come apart for me, Darlin’. The way this pussy responds to me,” he moans.
“Arvin...oh my fuck!” you moaned at his dirty words, clenching around him in a desperate vice.
“Can’t believe you chose me, can’t believe you love me,” he huffed, his grip tightening on your waist.
“I love you so much,” you whimpered, the knot in your core becoming tighter. “Can’t hold on.”
“Give it to me, Darlin’. It’s okay,” he cooed as you screamed his name beneath him.
A feeling like nothing you’d ever felt before washed over you in multiple waves. It was beyond pleasure and you almost felt like you weren’t in your own body. Arvin’s own pornographic yells are what brought you back down, as he continued to thrust into you. He rode out both of your orgasms, before collapsing softly onto your body. He rested his head on your chest, listening to to your heartbeat slowdown, as you both tried to regulate your breathing.
After a few moments, he slowly pulls out and you moan in dissatisfaction at the emptiness that now takes his place.
“Where’s your bathroom, Sweetheart?” he asked, standing up and pulling his boxers on.
“Down the hall on your right,” you yawned, looking him over with a small smile on your face. He was so fucking beautiful.
As he walked out, you think about what just happened and what it means. Sure, you and him had been a couple for a while (as far as you were concerned), but you just gave yourself to him. All of yourself. He can tell you he loves you as much as he wants, but that doesn’t stop the anxiety from creeping in. You’re sure that your Daddy told your Mama that he loved her a million times before ruining her life. However, when he made his way back into your room, damp cloth in hand, your fears had no choice but to fall away.
You hiss when you feel the warm cloth between your legs and on your most sensitive nerve. “I’m sorry, Darlin’”
“I just want you to hold me,” you whined, not caring how pathetic you sounded.
“As you wish,” he laughed before he grabbed his pack of cigarettes and a light, as he gets back in bed next to you, pulling you close to him. “How are you feelin’?” he asked, placing a cigarette in-between his lips and lighting it.
“Perfect,” you smiled as you laid your head on his chest.
“Yeah?”
“Mhm, I love you,” you responded softly, kissing his chest.
“I love you,” he laughed softly, before taking a drag of his cigarette before removing it and kissing the top of your head.
You were thoughtful before you spoke. “I don’t want anyone to know.”
“What? Y/N-”
“Just here me out,” you quickly interrupted. “I don’t want my parents givin’ us their unwanted opinions.”
“Your Daddy likes me now.”
“My Mama doesn’t. She doesn’t like or trust you, and I don’t want her giving you a hard time.”
“I can handle it,” he sighed, taking another drag from his cigarette.
“I know you can, but you don’t deserve it. I don’t want it to be a secret forever, just until we graduate. Then we can just leave. We don’t have to stay here and put up with it.”
“You wanna leave with me after school?”
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“It’s not movin’ too fast for you?” he asked, looking down at you.
“Did you mean what you said earlier?”
“You know I did.”
“Then it’s not movin’ fast at all,” you replied softly. “It’s not easy...the feelings and fears I have, but I also know that I’ve never felt so happy or so loved. Things haven’t been easy for either of us, but when we’re together...I don’t feel as heavy or scared. I don’t feel like I’m doomed to be miserable.”
“I make you feel that way?”
“You make me feel better than anyone else ever has,” you smiled up at him.
He kissed the top of your head before resting his head on top of yours and taking a drag from his cigarette. “I’m fine with waitin’ as long as you’re sure this is what you want.”
“I’m positive.”
When you woke up the next day, Arvin was gone but he had left you a small note.
‘I figured it would be best for me to leave now then stick around and rip myself away from you when you wake up. I love you, see you soon.’
He left the note next to the lilies he’d put together for you. When your parents came back home that day, your Daddy suspected nothing while your Mama was continuously eyeing you.
It didn’t matter to you though, because you had Arvin and he loved you. You two tried to be as discreet as possible, only embracing one another when you two were alone and only making love in the backseat of his car or when he was able to sneak you into his house (with the promise that you’d do your best to keep quiet).
You sat next to each other in every class you could, you sat a row behind him at church, and you went to every school function together (though you two only met up together when it came to dances).
Yes, everything between you and Arvin had been going smoothly and you couldn’t wait for your future together.
However, his temper still got the best of him.
“Lenora told me about the fight you got into the other day,” you sigh, getting comfy in the bed of his pickup, looking up at the stars.
“Lenora needs to keep her damn mouth shut,” he snaps, closing the back door of his truck. He throws two blankets in the back with you, placing the bag of booze next to you before hopping up inside the truck bed next to you. “She had no right to tell you anythin’.”
“You should’ve told me, Arvin.”
“Why? So you can be mad at me like you are now?”
“Because you made me a promise that you’d get your temper under control.”
“They’re not dead, are they?”
“One of em was damn near close,” you say in protest.
“But he isn’t,” Arvin snaps at you and you just roll your eyes.
“Whatever,” you say, opening the bottle of gin and taking a swig.
“You’re really gonna stay mad at me now?”
“I’m not anything towards you, Arvin. If you don’t see the problem, what the hell do I need to tell you?”
“Don’t you do that.”
“I’m not doin’ anything.”
“You’re shuttin’ me out.”
“No I’m not,” you huff. “I’m tired of havin’ the same talks with you. You can’t just fly off the handle whenever-”
“I didn’t! They’ve been botherin’ and bullyin’ her the same way Tyler was to you-”
“We all know what you did to Tyler, don’t we?”
“And has he bothered you since?”
“You made your point.’
“Have I?”
“Don’t be an asshole, Arvin.” you sigh, pulling away from him as he tries to hold you.
“You’re really mad at me, aren’t you?”
“Not mad. More disappointed, that’s all-.”
“Y/N-”
“We’ve talked about gettin’ married, Arvin.”
“We are gettin’ married,” he smiles at you, motioning towards your jacket pocket.
“Exactly, we’re gettin’ married and you’re still keepin’ secrets from me.”
“I just didn’t see the point-”
“You didn’t want me to know because you didn’t want me gettin’ mad.”
“Can you blame me?” he asks, a shy smile playing on his lips.
“Arvin-”
“I know, okay? I have to do better, I have to tell you everythin’ or-”
“Or you lose me,” you state as if it’s the most simple thing in the world.
“Okay fine,” he sighs, laying back and propping himself up on his elbows. “Tell you everything or let you go. Now, come here,” he smiles, pulling on the back of your dress.
Arvin had proposed to you 4 weeks ago and you didn’t hesitate to tell him yes. Your celebration was short lived, mainly because he proposed to you right after school let out and you both had work to do. He promised as soon as you both graduated, the first thing he was gonna do was take you to the courthouse and make you his wife. You couldn’t wear the ring yet (for obvious reasons), but you kept in your jacket pocket. Maybe that’s why the thought of your parents knowing about two of you didn’t seem so scary anymore. You two were as committed to each other as two people could be, and you had talked about your future. Things were going well and you had faith that your lives wouldn’t be anything like your parents’.
“We’re gonna get caught if we keep doin’ this in the middle of Mr. Higgins cornfield,” you moan as Arvin trails kisses down your neck.
“As long as we keep wakin’ up before him, we’ll be fine,” he smirks beneath you, his hands sliding up your dress. “You’re not wearin’-”
“It’s been too long,” you smirk, sitting up and straddling him.
“I had to stay away, you know that,” he groans, pulling off his shirt and looking up at you. “I really do like that dress,”he says breathlessly.
“Yeah?” you question slowly unbuttoning it. “My Mama made it for me.”
“I’ll have to remember to thank her,” he moans, eyes watching your every move intensely.
“Guess so,”you moan, feeling him harden beneath you as you slowly let the straps slowly down your arms; your dress pools around your waist.
“You are so fuckin’ beautiful, Darlin’”, he husks as his hands travel up your sides, his finger tips light as feathers on your skin.
“Missed having you like this,” you smile before you start grinding your hips into him. “Below me,” you moan “desperate.”
“Don’t tease me,” he warns, his grip on you tightening. “You know what happens when you do.”
“That’s exactly why I’m doing it,” you sigh, continuing to grind on him as you place your hands on his chest. “Fuck, I can’t...shit!” you moan as you cum on his jeans.
“Can’t wait anymore,” he growls, hands fumbling with his belt while you push yourself up a little so he can get his pants down. “Gotta be inside you,” he groans, getting his pants down and himself free.
You both moan as you slowly sink yourself down on him, letting him split you apart the way you love the most.
“We should almost get caught by your parents more often,” he rasps with a softy laugh, as you start riding him.
“Don’t even,” you moan, looking down as your hair falls in front of your face. “I never wanna be without you that long again. I hate sleeping without you.”
“Soon...soon...fuck! Just like that!” he moans as start to quicken your pace, rolling your hips against his. His hands make their way up your body and soon enough his hands are massaging your breasts, him kneading your nipples between his fingers every so often.
“Arvin,” you moan so softly you aren’t sure he even hears you.
“So fuckin’ sexy,” he growls, watching you use him to get you to the place of bliss you can only reach when he’s loving you. “Can’t wait to make you my wife.”
“Baby, I’m so close!” you mewl, your finger nails digging into his chest.
“Give it to me, Y/N,” he growls, “went so long not being able to watch you fall apart!”
“Fuck!” you cry out, cumming hard and almost losing your balance.
“Such a good girl,” he growls, before wrapping his arms around your waist.
In one swift move he’s upright, and you’re settling down on his lap. “Fuck!”
“Do you know how hard it is just watch you like that and not take over?” he growls, thrusting into you while his hands travel all over your back.
“I love the way you watch me, like...like I’m the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen,” you moan, your hands finding perches on his shoulders as you wrap your legs around him.
“That’s because you are,” he huffs before planting kisses all over neck and chest. “You are so precious to me. I’ll never stop loving you.”
“I love...love you...Arvin, I’m gonna-”
“I need you to right now,” he grunts, gripping your hair tight, pulling with just enough force to send you over that cliff of mind numbing pleasure.
He soon follows right over that cliff, screaming your name along with a few other obscenities. You both cling to each other, sweat dripping from both your foreheads, listening to each others gasping breaths.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you and I’m sorry it happened,” Arvin says after a moment. “I know my temper scares you and in all honesty, it scares me too. I am terrified of losin’ you and that’s why I didn’t say anything.”
“Keepin’ things from me only makes it worse,” you sigh, looking down at him.
“I promise I won’t keep anythin’ from you ever again, but you can’t leave me. I wouldn’t be able to handle it if you did,” he confesses meeting your gaze.
“I’m ain’t goin’ anywhere, Arvin,” you promise before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
“I love you.”
“And I love you.”
You both stay like that for a moment later, before you both reluctantly decide it’s best for you both to get some sleep instead of going for another round. He cleans you up with his old white t-shirt before laying down one of the blankets and handing you the other to wrap yourself up in. He uses his denim button up and your dress as makeshift pillows for the both of you as you lay down. You open up the blanket just a bit for him to get under, closer to you.
As you start to drift into dreamland you faintly hear Arvin whispering things to you. You want to ask him what he’s saying, but you’re too tired. Right before you lose consciousness, you faintly hear “there ain’t a thing I wouldn’t do for you. I will always love you and I will always protect you.”
You succumb to darkness knowing that no matter what the future holds, it’ll be fine. As long as you’re with Arvin, nothing could ever be wrong.
**
You’re awoken by Arvin planting soft kisses up and down your cheek. You laugh and roll over into him, laying your head on his chest and arms across his waist.
“Five more minutes,” you smile and he laughs.
“I’m gonna be in enough trouble as it is, besides, I told my grandma I’d help her and Lenora set up for that thing today.”
“Fine fine,” you sigh, finally opening your eyes and looking up at him. The way the sunlight is hitting his eyes has your heart melting. “You are so beautiful.”
“You’re one to talk,” he laughs before pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
You both take your time getting up and dressed, enjoying the silence of the early morning. Arvin throws his t-shirt in the backseat as you settle into the passenger side and buckle up. As he starts his truck you think you see someone coming, but when you look again, they’re gone and Arvin is quickly pulling away.
He reluctantly drops you off at Linda’s diner, but promises to see you later and kisses you deeply before pulling off.
You feel like you’re on a cloud the whole day. You don’t even get irritated when your Mama starts questioning why you’ve been sleeping over your friends so often. You tell her that with the way her and Daddy have been arguing lately, you just think it’s better to spend as little time as possible there. She wants to press the matter further, but the store is extremely busy and there’s no time.
However, your good day comes an end at about 6 in the evening, when your Mama gets a call at the shop. Lenora hung herself earlier in the day and Arvin was the one who found her.
You can’t stop yourself as you grab the keys to the truck and run out the store. You need to see him. You need to be there for him. You know your parents are in the car behind you, probably wondering what in the sam-hell is wrong with you, but you don’t care. Nothing else matters except Arvin.
When you finally get to his grandmother’s house, his Uncle is sitting on the chair on the front porch. “He’s in his room,” he says in the most somber tone you’ve ever heard. When he sees the guilt in your eyes he quickly waives his hand. “He needs you.”
You nod before running into the house. When you open the door to his room, the scene in front of you breaks your heart. “Baby?”
Arvin looks up at you with tear shot eyes, tears still streaming down his face. “I should’ve been here,” he whimpers through his cries.
“Baby no,” you coo, running over to him and wrapping your arms around him.
“I should’ve been here,” he sobs again, wrapping his arms around you.
“You didn’t know, Arvin. There was no way to know,” you respond, your own tears gently dropping now.
Your Mama comes to his doorway, ready to yell at you for the inappropriate outburst and current scene in front of her, but all of that changes when she sees him holding you and crying hard.
No one protests when you tell them you’re going to stay the night. You’re his only comfort and your parents just don’t feel right making you leave his side.
“I’ll never forgive myself,” he sobs, as you both lay in his bed at night, with your head resting on his chest.
“Baby, that’s not what Lenora would want. You took such good care of her and loved her so much. She isn’t blaming any of this on you,” you say softly, trying to calm him.
“Thank you for being here with me tonight,” he sniffs, looking down at you and pressing a soft kiss to your head.
“As if I’d be anywhere else,” you respond softly, looking up to meet his mournful gaze.
You both slowly fall asleep to the sounds of his soft sobs, your heart both heavy with guilt and mourning.
**
2 months later
In the days that followed Lenora’s death, you did your best to comfort Arvin. You were more sure than ever that your parents had pieced together that you two were together, but you didn’t have it in you to give much of a shit. Arvin was doing his best to hold it together and you were doing your best to be there for him. If that meant pissing off your Mama, then so be it. You only had a month or so left until you and Arvin could get married anyway.
Arvin lost interest in school and eventually just stopped coming. He quit his job at the gas station and became a carpenter. He told you that it was because he needed to save up money for a proper place for the both of you, but you knew better. He couldn’t take going to that school and not seeing Lenora all while being forced around the people who tormented her the worst. You knew he’d lose control.
He was doing his best to keep his temper at bay, but the more time went on, the more he found out information that made him want to do things he knew better than to do.
He was desperately trying to keep his promise to you.
“She was pregnant!” he yelled after you got into his car one day, picking you up from Sarah’s house.
“What?”
“Lenora was pregnant, and I bet you anythin’ it was that son of a bitch Preston!”
“Arvin-”
“I know, Y/N. I know it was him and I bet you anythin’ she told him!”
“How do you know she was pregnant?”
“Officer Meyers told me when I got back from work.”
“Shit,” you muttered, running a hand through your hair. “Arvin-”
“If I just wanted to leave with you one day, would you go?”
“What?”
“If I just came to get you one night...would you come with me?”
“You know I would.”
“You sure? You could just pick up and leave?”
“What are you-”
“Are you sure you could? It’s a lot to ask and I know-”
“Arvin, I would go anywhere for you.”
“I love you,” he sighed as pulled up to your house, you both finding your Mama standing on the porch, hands on her hips. “Shit.”
“I’ll deal with her, don’t worry about it. You go home and try to rest. I love you,” you smiled before getting out of the car.
You slowly made your way up the walk way, feeling small under the intensity of your mother’s gaze. “Goodnight Y/N,” Arvin called from his car. “You too ma’am,” he motioned towards your Mama.
“You get home safe, Arvin. My prayers and well wishes to your grandmother,” she responded, not taking her eyes off of you.
The minute you two got into the house, she laid into you.
“You’re sleepin’ with that boy!” she yelled as soon as she closed the door behind her.
“Mama, I’m not-”
“Don’t you dare lie to your Mama, girl,” she warned, following you into the kitchen. “Mr. Higgins told me he saw Arvin leavin’ his cornfield the day Lenora hung herself. He said there was a girl in his car and he’s pretty sure he it was you! Everyone sees you both around town all the time! I know what-”
“You don’t know anythin’, Mama! You just don’t like him!”
“He’s gonna get you pregnant and ruin your life!”
“Just like Daddy got you pregnant and ruined yours?!”
“You’re too young for-”
“I’m graduatin’ in a few months, Mama! I’m graduatin’ and gettin’ the hell out of here!”
“And just where do you think you’re goin’?! College?!”
“Anywhere is better than here!” you yelled, tears coming down your face.
“You’ll see! When that boy ruins your life, you’ll come back cryin’!” she yelled up the steps after you.
The only issue? You had lied to her. You were pregnant. You had planned to tell Arvin when he picked you up from Sarah’s, but he was already so fired up.  You telling him that after he had just told you Lenora was pregnant when she killed herself was definitely not in your best interest.
You went to bed that night telling yourself that you’d tell Arvin the next day.
However, you didn’t see him the next day, or the day after that, or after that.
You went a week without seeing him before you heard. Pastor Preston had been killed, Arvin was responsible, and he’d fled town. You didn’t want to believe it, but in your heart and in your gut you knew it was true. You cried yourself to sleep that night, because somewhere in the back of your mind, you knew it was only a matter of time before it happened.
You few days later, you heard Sheriff Bodecker’s sister and her husband had been killed. Both had been shot to death. There was a terrible feeling in your stomach that told you Arvin was responsible. However, you knew him and you knew there had to be a reason. Arvin may have been hot headed, but he wouldn’t have flown off the handle (let alone murder two people) without a reason.
A few days later, it was announced that Sheriff Bodecker was killed, with photos of what his sister and her husband been up to found at the scene. You could feel it in your bones that Arvin was responsible for that too, based on where they found Bodecker.
You wanted to be angry with him. You wanted to hate him. But you couldn’t. Arvin was your best friend. Your soul mate. You couldn’t just turn that off, even with knowing what he was capable of.
The same thoughts were racking your brain that had been for 2 months. Arvin was gone and graduation was two weeks away. Since you’re only 2 months pregnant, it’s easy enough to hide the truth, and you want to keep it that way. No one in this dead end town needs to know.
You have enough money saved for you to get out and move away, but you’d need to work forever to support yourself and the baby. It would be worth it though. You’d be free of this town and all of its ghosts.
“Y/N?” a deep voice asks, creeping into your room, causing you to jump.
“Arvin?! What the fuck?!” you whisper yell, forcing yourself to sit up.
“I know, I know I have so much to explain, but we have to go. And now,” he sighs, frantically searching your room, probably looking for a bag to pack some clothes in.
“What the...no! You don’t just get to come back here after months of being gone and just expect me to leave with you!”
“Baby, I know-”
“Don’t fucking ‘baby’ me! You shot and killed a man, then ran off, killed more people, and then just fucking kept going! You left me!”
“I had to!” he sighs, finally finding a bag, despite you telling him no. “If I would’ve gotten caught and you’d been with me, they would’ve thought you had something to do with it!”
“Arvin-”
“I got us a place and I fixed it up nice! It’s far from here, but it’s ours. It’s our home. I’m riskin’ everythin’ to be here right now, but you’re worth it. You’re worth everythin’ and I-”
“I’m pregnant, Arvin,” you admit softly.
That had him stopping in his tracks.
“What?”
“I’m two months pregnant,” you repeat, turning your gaze away from him.
“Baby, that’s great!” he gushes, dropping the bag and rushing to your side. “We can-”
“Arvin, you’re a wanted man. We can’t just leave like nothin’ happened.”
“Why can’t we? Why can’t we just start our lives together?”
“Because we’re still kids ourselves! Because you murdered 4 people! You’re a murderer and-”
“I promise that I’ll explain all of it in the car, just please come with me,” he begs desperately.
You don’t know why you tried to fight it, because there’s really only way this is going to go.
You get up and quietly start getting dressed while Arvin resumes packing your clothes. You watch him pack the few trinkets that actually mean something to you, before grabbing they money you’ve been saving over the years while working for your parents. You take a look around your room and sigh.
This is the last time you’re ever going to be in it.
You both quietly make your way down the steps and you stop to leave a note for your parents on the notepad on the kitchen counter. When you get outside, Arvin helps you inside the pickup truck. He quietly closes the door and runs over to his side, quickly closing his door and driving off.
He starts talking about everything that happened, while you watch your parents house become smaller and smaller in the rear-view mirror, coming to terms with the choice that you’ve made and the new life you’re about to begin.
“As for Bodecker’s sister, I didn’t know-”
“I don’t wanna talk about that now, Arvin,” you sigh, deciding that all of it could wait for another day. “Tell me about our place.”
“You wanna hear about...that?” he asks, tone of surprise very apparent.
“I wanna hear about our future, our home, our life together,” you softly smile, looking over at him and taking his free hand in yours.
“I love you, Y/N.”
“& I love you, Arvin,” you hum.
As he drives on, you listen happily and force your worries out of your mind. You couldn’t leave Arvin. You couldn’t leave him and you wouldn’t. Arvin could be walking into depths of hell and you’d be right there beside him, holding his hand. You’d follow him anywhere, even into the dark.
