Cell is *not* an equal opportunity lover.
He knows exactly what he wants.
He knows exactly who he is and what he brings to the table.
He has standards (even if they are incredibly high and arguably impossible to achieve).
He has boundaries around what he will absolutely not tolerate.
Cell is a superb example of self-confidence, self-awareness, and healthy communication for a relationship.
Can I get a "yaasss queen" in the reblogs?!

I'm realizing that ASOIAF is at its best (or at least, at its most personally enjoyable for me) when there's a stable fulcrum of power in place in the realm, and all these characters with lesser power are revolving around it to try and make their plays and survive or get ahead in the world.
The best season of Game of Thrones was Season 1, when that center of power is unquestionably Robert Baratheon. No one questions that he's king. The realm is prosperous for the people (ticking time bomb of debt notwithstanding), and every other character like Ned, Cersei, Littlefinger, etc all grapple with each other behind the scenes, all trying to accommodate for the agreed-upon power center that holds all their fates in his hands: Robert.
Eventually, these players push each other too far, and Cersei makes the calculation that her survival odds are greater without Robert in the picture than with him. So she has him killed. And that's when all hell breaks loose across the continent. But that hell breaking loose is paradoxically more...boring to me? Idk why. Maybe it's that, when there's established rules of how these characters have to play the game in the shadows and tiptoe around the shadow of Robert, they are forced to make more interesting choices, and there's higher stakes for their every small action? Whereas once the big war breaks out openly, yeah there's still politicking behind the scenes (bc arguably Tywin Lannister becomes the replacement power fulcrum everyone turns around instead), but there's little to no established rules that they have to accommodate. They're all just committing betrayals and war crimes unchecked. Makes for less interesting choices for me as a reader/viewer.
I bring this up because I'm noticing the same pattern watching House of the Dragon. In this case, the unquestioned center of power is Viserys Targaryen. No one ever questioned that he's now the king. Everyone— Otto, Corlys, Daemon, then eventually Rhaenyra and Alicent as they enter the game as adults—all have to make their plays and maneuvers around this gravitational pull of Viserys's authority. They couldn't just jump toward the war crimes and unchecked violence that's now about to happen in the Dance. And how characters express their motivations within those political constraints on their power is, so far, way more fascinating for me to watch in Episodes 1-8 than it has been for Episodes 9 and 10, which deal with the immediate aftermath of Viserys's death.
I dunno. Maybe I'm not explaining my thoughts very well. I'm just noticing what I enjoy more as a reader/viewer, and potentially will keep it in mind as a writer of my own fictional worlds and the ensuing political scenarios :)

The reason I love the Red Hood being a crime lord instead of a vigilante is that Crime Alley, functionally, doesn't have the same problems as the rest of Gotham. Their main problem isn't the mad Rogues running around, it's the cycle of poverty, violence, and crime that they're all stuck in. And you know what one of the main ways to combat this is? Community. Organizing. Working together.
Except Crime Alley can't just choose to do that. Who would choose to join such a risky proposition instead of a gang that you know can help protect your family? So the Red Hood comes in and he looks like he's just creating another gang, the same as all the others.
Except he's serious about not selling drugs to kids or people in danger of overdosing. Except he protects the working girls fiercely, even if it loses him money. Except all the money he does make goes straight into the community if it's not making sure his employees are alright.
Working within the system is often a necessary measure to fix the system. Except the system in the case of Crime Alley isn't the government that abandoned them, it's the volatile, terrible gang set up. So Red Hood didn't just work within the system, he took it over and made it work for him instead.
Is this perfect? No. The other bats have valid disagreements with Jason's way of doing things. But he is doing so much good.

i wanna see fan art of older percy and annabeth with scars and grey steaks in their hair. they’re in college or full adults and living their best lives but during the summer they’re putting extra sunscreen on their old battle wounds and when percy grows out his hair or annabeth gets new braids they have a matching silver streak. i want to see them as happy adults buy still visibly carrying the weight of everything they went through as children. they deserve not to have those lost with age, its proof that they lived, that they made it.

Since Cell has Saiyan DNA, can he turn Great Ape? Or would it be Great Cicada? 🤔
Someone needs to do something with this. And by someone, I mean me 😄

If you ever needed to know the extent of how the I/P conflict is fandomized, there is a popular post going around with a Sailor moon sticker saying Free Palestine and all the comments are talking about how it's their aesthetic and they totally need to buy it
Because this doesn't matter to them, it's just the cool hip and trendy thing
