hafnar is týr’s kid, but he’s nothing like him. he absolutely sucks at being diplomatic, can be pretty tone deaf, and has no problem beating people up. an overall well-adapted individual if i do say so myself!!

You ever think about the fear Loki must have felt after going to Jotunheim that first time? Before he confronted Odin? That spike of anxiety and fear that must've rolled through him as he watched his skin turn blue? You ever think about what must've been going through his mind? His mind must've been racing, heart hammering in his chest as he tried to push it away and come up with another explanation in his mind for what happened, for what he saw. Of course, none made any sense. Of course, they didn't. There was really only one true explanation and the feeling of abdolute dread he would get at that thought. That feeling of absolute dread as the thought that he was one of *them*, a monster, went through his mind. Loki would now think he understands why he's always been treated differently, why he was always the lesser son and he'd think that he was never truly loved. The absolute burning hatred towards himself that would swelter up inside of him because he was taught all his life that the Jotunns, the Frost Giants, were bloodthirsty monsters, that there was nothing redeemable about them, that they were meant for nothing more than to meet the end of a blade. "The monster parents tell their children about at night." And he was one of them. And in the end, in a mad, desperate scramble for power, for control, for *love*, he tried to do what he was taught. To make his father proud. To make up for what he was maybe. To earn that love he so desperately wanted, needed because more than anything he is lonely and he hates it. Hates how long the feeling has been with him, how much it's grown since finding out his true heritage. But in the end he was met with disapproval. And all that loneliness, and anger, and hatred, all that sadness was too much. And so, he let go. He fell into the void with the intention of never coming back. You ever think about that?

Angraboda

I have always been drawn to the Jotuns of the Norse pantheon. I think their dark, primordial nature appeals to my trauma. There is something awe inspiring and commanding in these forces.

I worked with Angraboda a couple years before she would let me paint her. She didn’t want to reveal herself to me. I listened to a Slipknot album while painting her.

Mother of Wolves and Monsters.

Consort of Loki.

Cheiftess of the Ironwood.

When she comes near she brings fear. Fear that if I want to grow into my most authentic self then I must face the secrets of these dark spaces.

loki hyperfix is back after rewatching s1 of loki with my father and with it !! COMES MY NITPICKS ABOUT THE MAGIC THING IN LOKI. TVA BLOCKS MAGIC. MAGIC KEEPS LOKI LOOKING LIKE HUMAN (ASGARDIAN WHATVER) LOKI. BUT HE'S NOT. HE'S JOTUN. A FROST GIANT.

and okay I get it, it's probably because 1 of 3 reasons (or a combo).

1. They didn't have the budget and it might be hard to work in Jotun Loki and all the extra powers and shit that would come with that.

(especially since they've only just started exploring his regular magic that we're a bit more familiar with. adding on jotun powers would be even more to work with and maybe harder?? this just added another reason onto my list. SYLVIE. would also have to make her Jotun looking within the TVA which is even more writing and planning possibly)

2. Maybe Tom Hiddleston (and the woman who plays Sylvie. I apologize I can't remember her name) didn't want to sit through hours and hours of makeup.

3. They just didn't think of it or just didn't care.

Though they had to have thought of it since there's a moment where they're showing other Loki variants and there were at least 2 Jotun Lokis in there. So. Other reason most likely. Which I get ig. The small holes though get to me cuz like. I'm weird like that. I mean, in story, You can't argue that it's cuz it's Odin's magic keeping it that way or anything like that because not even THE INFINITY STONES work there. That's weaker magic honestly so it should've stopped. It should've left him without his usual illusion of a regular human/asgardian. Whether it was his magic or not. I guess it doesn't really matter in the whole grand scheme of things, but it was something that bugged me.
