We are with you till the end of the line
Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan x Teen!Reader
[Warnings: Rape, Talk of sex, Swearing, OOC Chris for a bit, Arguing, Panic attacks, Hospitals]
!!This is pretty loaded so please don't read this if your not comfortable with the certain subjects, the last thing I want to do is make anyone uncomfortable, if you need anyone to reach out to just pop me a quick message, I would never mind having a chat or you just ranting to me, i’m always there for u!!
┍━━━━━━━━━━━━━━★━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┑
You knew they wouldn't mind, they were like brothers after all, constantly looking out for you even in the most inconvenient of times. Yet the one time, they weren't there. Its not like you needed them, but you did and you always tried to convince yourself that you were a strong female figure but there was that part of you that turned completely towards the strong male figures you had in your life. Chris, Anthony and Sebastian.
Too elaborate, you first met the triplet when you were 15, you had auditioned for the role of the teenage heroine, Erin Kelsey, a young girl who proves her courage to The Avengers with her virtuosic karate skills. They loved you and you got the part much to your dismay. You were taken under the wing of Anthony Mackie straight away, he told you that he saw something in you. Scarlett was the first cast member you met though and she will always hold a special place in your heart as the girl who made you comfortable with the whole marvel cast.
Your character was introduced in Age of Ultron as a teenage Slovakian girl who had been spotted jumping from rooftop to rooftop, it was incredibly fun to film. Then in Civil War, your character developed massively which brought you closer to the men. Not only were they like big brothers to you but they gave you the best advice in life, anything you needed help with, they were there, 24/7. You had many talks and lectures about things you already knew about but they insisted they were older and knew what was best, they also said that they didnt want you doing stupid things like they used to do, whatever that is supposed to mean.
They check up on you constantly, always asking you to message them when you get home, or back to your trailer, or the hair and makeup truck, the canteen, the toilet, anywhere they needed to know. It was their responsibility if anything happened to you, of course it wasn't actually but they made it so it was that way, knowing that you were young and needed that guidance. This was because when you started filming Civil War you were deemed old enough to do it all on your own, you were fending for yourself since you were turning 17 soon.
You attended a college near by and went there twice a week, the rest of the time you did online school in-between takes and in breaks. Your time in college introduced you to a person, I know, cliche but they were really nice. Long story short, you two started dating, their name was Alex. Your grades dropped and you stopped seeing the three men due to the amount of time you were spending with Alex but spending time with Alex was like second nature but not to your will, they told you that you had to see them everyday and call them whenever you got the chance, this was controlling if you had ever seen it.
You had plenty of time to tell them about Chris, Sebastian and Anthony and soon they had enough of you talking so highly about them and got jealous, this is when they started making advances on you, also against your will. They would start to touch you and when you would say no they would continue, you threatened to leave them but they made even bigger threats, to tell Chris, Seb and Mackie that you didn’t need them anymore, they went into detail about what they would tell them, it was graphic, things that you were doing whilst you were supposed to be hanging out with them, sexual acts...
They of course, didn't know about your partner and this was for a reason, you know they would be against the idea and you defiantly couldn't risk anything but they were adamant of working out why you were so absent.
“Can we all agree that Y/n has been distant lately?” Sebastian spoke after walking into the hair and makeup trailer to find Anthony and Chris being dolled up.
Anthony sighed, straight away knowing what he meant.
“I know man, its like she doesn't love us anymore,” He fake pouted which made Chris laugh. “Seriously though, do you know where she’s been?”
Both men stayed quiet.
“Every time I ask her where she is going she just says ‘out’” Sebastian adds with a shrug.
“And she never messages us updates anymore, it worries me frankly,” Chris frowns at the thought.
“She told me she went to the park to do some homework without distractions and came back with a new hoodie and a massive smile on her face” Anthony furrows his brows. “Like, how does that make sense? Why would you be that happy after doing homework?” He flared his harms around and huffs.
“But around us her mood has changed, have you noticed she's been so distant and cold to us?” Sebastian added.
The silence is broken by the makeup lady sniggering which immediately turned all other heads in the room.
“Whatchu laughing at lady?” Anthonys face was pure confusion, how could this matter be funny and as for Chris and Sebastian, their faces were a mix between caution and anger.
“Sounds like Y/n might have a boyfriend or girlfriend,” She stated plainly, not even looking up from Sebastians roots.
A short impetuous laugh came from Anthony’s throat in disbelief.
“Isn't it obvious? She wants to hide it from you guys” All men froze at this statement with heads overflowing with thoughts that questioned the lady. Why would she feel she had to hide it from us? Why wouldn't she tell us? Why does she have to hide it from us? That last question threw the men into gear.
“We need to ask her,” Chris finally spoke up. “If this is true, we need to see whats happening,” Chris was worried, he had a bad feeling. He stood up and left the makeup chair abruptly. All you could hear were the sound of rushed movements onto of the stoned floor outside getting quieter and quieter.
“I don’t meant to worry you guys,” The lady spoke up, now not touching Sebastian.
“No, i’m glad you said something, it makes sense now really,” Anthony said apathetically, the feeling of worry bites at his toes, he wanted to run to you.
-
Chris got to you first, bursting the door of your trailer open in a panting mess in full Cap uniform.
“Woah okay, erm, can I call you back later I think somethings wrong,” You say down the phone as you stand up to approach Chris.
“I will call you back later, I promise,” You console your adamant person and bid your goodbyes.
As soon as the call ends Chris is jumping down your throat, leaving you no room to question.
“Who was that?” He stares at you intently, still trying to catch his breath.
“Just a friend, it was Katie,” You can change your answer, hoping this one would be more convincing. “Why whats wrong?” Chris’s features changed, he placed his hand on his hip and cocked his eyebrows as if to question your answer.
“What?” You ask him, confusion fully lacing your voice.
“Y/n, I really hope you aren't lying to me,” His voice now evident with slight anger and dominance.
“Chris, what are you getting at,” You retaliate, who is he to question who you were on the phone too, you couldn't tell him anyway.
“Let me see your phone.” No question about it, he held his hand out and demanded. “Give me your phone Y/n” To say you were shocked was an understatement. Your face swelled with worry, worry that he might find out but you decided to mask it with anger.
“Chris, what the fuck?” You narrowed your eyebrows and Chris just raised his as if you were his child that was in trouble.
“I want to see who you last called,” His hand never once moved, you on the other hand were shaking, you had never seen Chris like this, never angry nor disappointed. Its not even like you could say it was a boy friend back home because you had already told Chris it was Katie.
“Its really none of your business who i’ve been calling,” Your mood had changed significantly since the phone call.
Chris’s eyes narrowed and his nostrils flared, he was angry. “Your lying.” He plainly stated.
“And your being irate, you obviously don’t trust me!” You flared your arms around in expression, trying to cover up anything and everything which made you angrier and angrier.
“Im only looking out for you, you know this but I cant do that if you dont tell me the truth, your only-”
“Yes, I know, im only 16 and dont know half of whats to come yet, I know im young Chris, you tell me all the time but just because im young doesn't mean I dont get my freedom and just because im young defiantly doesn't mean you get to boss me around because guess what Chris, your not my dad!” You knew it hurt him, due to an absent father you had told the men that they were like father figures to you and they took pride in that. He was taken aback by your sudden outburst and wondered how long you had been holding that in but he couldn't help what came out of his mouth next.
“Don’t ever come to me for anything again because I won't be there to help you,” This was so out of character for Chris it knocked the wind out of you, you felt like you could be sick. Tears welled in your eyes, you grabbed your keys and sprinted out of your trailer before he could see you break.
“Y/n!” Called a familiar voice, it was Anthony.
You stopped in your tracks and wiped your eyes before turning where you were confronted with two worried faces, not them as well.
“Did Chris speak to you?” Your heart sunk, did they think the same thing, you wanted to save yourself the embarrassment.
“Im going out,” You said plainly, holding back more tears.
“No you're not, we need to speak to you,” Anthony demanded again. You snapped before you could even think.
“You don’t control me! Not you! Not Sebastian and defiantly not Chris! I dont need you!” You let the tears fall, you felt like you were being dramatic but frankly you were sick of their controlling behaviour and Chris made it perfectly clear how he felt. Sadly you didnt actually feel this way, it was just what Alex had planted in your head and you couldn't risk him getting exposed otherwise you would be fucked.
“Y/n what happened?” Sebastian inched closer as you broke down.
“Y/n!” Chris called from the distance and before you could muster any sort of courage to be confronted by all three me, you ran.
“Im going out!” That dull phrase that fell from your lips every day with so much mystery behind it.
-
“Will you stop talking about them fucking men,” Alex seethes after just 5 minutes of you ranting, you're in an angry mood already so you snap at them.
“Alex i’m really fucking struggling right not and I would love some comfort from my significant other!” And before you know it your pinned underneath them.
“I think you forgot who you're talking to,” Alex hovered over you with your arms pinned above your head, you thrashed but they were stronger.
“Remember our little agreement sweetheart,” The pet name made your eyes clench shut and your body tense up, the dreaded nickname that was supposed to make you feel loved but made you feel on edge more than anything.
Then Alex done the unspeakable, something you thought was an empty threat, you never thought they would go there.
“You dare protest and see what happens,” Alex spat in your face as they violated all of your comfort zones and boundaries. They left you speechless, ashamed, and defiled.
You got in your car and drove, you didn’t know where, you couldn’t think straight. It was defiantly dangerous for you to drive but there was no way you were staying with them. The wheels took you back to set and your heart ached for your three men, you knew they wouldn't mind yet you couldn't bring yourself to tell them nor did you think they would care to know, they made it that clear. You ran to your trailer and jumped in the shower straight away, washing any evidence and remaining touches off your body, you looked down and discovered the marks of the abuser littered all over your shoulders, thumb marks shared along your pelvis and in between your thighs. You scrubbed and scrubbed but they wouldn't go away, only leaving a singing red hue on the surface, the rest were deeper, they penetrated your soul, no amount of scrubbing could remove those. Little did you know, Chris saw you running back to your trailer late last night but he left you alone, thinking you needed some time.
The next morning you felt the reminace of the abuse, you were supposed to be well rested since your day off yesterday yet you felt worse the you ever had but you wore a brave face and worried about the interactions between you and Chris, Seb and Anthony. Weak is how you felt, not knowing how the day would treat you.
You stepped out of your trailer with a grimace and a sharp ache in-between your legs. Normally Chris, Anthony and sometimes Sebastian would usher you from your trailer to set, you felt truly and utterly alone.
“Morning Y/n,” You took a sharp turn to see Scarlett heading straight in your direction. “No Chris this morning?” She asked with a frown.
You didn’t know how to speak, you didn't know if you could, your mind still swarming with, well, everything.
She hugged you quite roughly and you yelped out in pain with the sudden movement and pressure, she backed away immediately.
“Hey.. whats wrong kiddo?” She asked, worry evident on her face.
Quick Y/n, come up with something.
“Just my period, its quite painful today,” You covered that up quick and it was believable, you were surprised how you hadn't burst into tears yet, you didn't know how you were going to survive the whole day.
“I have some pain killers?” She offered with a sympathetic smile.
All you did was nod.
You walked to set with a slight limp and that didn't go unnoticed by the directors.
“You good Y/n?” Joe asked.
Scarlett just whispered in his ear and you already knew what she had said.
“We will go easy on you today.” He joked with a wink, normally you would find his teasing funny but all you felt was this pit of dread.
-
You trekked to wardrobe to get into your costume of the day; still with no sight of Anthony, Chris or Sebastian, you knew they were filming today because it was a fight scene... a fight scene which you had to do with Anthony... Luckily your costume covered all of your bruises, the only thing now was getting them past the wardrobe lady.
“Get naked my lovely,” The wardrobe lady joked. Yet again, no expression from you. “Are you okay?” She edged closer.
“Yes, i’m fine thank you,” You sent her a small smile.
“Come on then, we need to get you dressed” You just stripped your top, not even caring if she saw, you would only explain if she asked. All there was, was a gasp from her side. “Lovely...”
“I was with my partner yesterday, thats all,” You added as she helped you adjust your new layer of skin. “Please don’t tell anyone, I don’t need them teasing me about it,” You said with a small chuckle, it was getting easier.
-
You had greeted Anthony, Seb and Chris when you saw them, they said sorry and you said sorry back, the last thing you wanted to do was argue today. They had to go and get their hair and makeup done since they were a little late onto set.
-
Sebastian and Anthony were in the wardrobe truck while Chris got his hair done.
“She still seems different, I cant place my finger on it,” Anthony queried.
“Well I believe what Jo said in the makeup truck, I feel like she has a secret boyfriend,” Seb spoke back.
“Im just worried Seabass... she’s never been like this,” Before Sebastian could answer, the costume lady did.
“Are we talking about Y/n boys?” She questioned.
“Yes, do you know something?” Anthony was begging for any information he could get his hands on.
“She told me not to say anything but when she took her shirt off she had marks all over her shoulders, told me she was with a partner,” Anthony sighed and there his head back.
“See, this is what I didn't want happening, its fine that she’s having sex but I just hope its safe,” Anthony was just disappointed that you wouldn't tell him something like this, he thought you trusted him.
“I don't mean to worry you...” That same phrase. “But those marks weren't love bites, they were proper bruises,”
Sebastian and Anthony share a look of worry.
“I mean, I've had my far share of sexual partners and the only way those bruises could be that dark was if her partner was being rough, they had to be pretty recent as well.” She said nonchalantly.
There were two thoughts swimming through Anthony and Sebastian heads. Someone was being abusive or you liked rough sex and to be honest, they would have preferred the latter.
-
The actually acting part was going well - I mean, you got paid to do it- but when the the stunts started, thats the you felt the full effects. Your character was a master at karate so the moves were pretty intense, you hadn't warmed up either with the worry that it was going to hurt to much. You were right, it hurt tenfold when you started fighting with Anthony, you could deal with the pain but when you got thrown over Anthonys shoulder, it was endgame. A shrill sounded from the back of your throat and Anthony dropped you immediately. You doubled over with the pain and grasped your lower stomach, you felt like you would be sick.
“Y/n what's wrong?” Anthony Russo questioned.
Scarlett came running over and knelt beside you.
“Oh sweetheart,” At the sound of the nickname you burst into tears. Everything was getting too overwhelming. A couple seconds past, you didn't know if anyone was saying anything, you couldn't focus on anything at the moment. “Y/n?” Scarlett questioned. At this point you had a whole crown surrounding you, you couldn't break down, not here, not now.
“Im fine, just woman issues,”You sniffled and pointed to your stomach and peoples faces dropped and a few laughs were shared.
“Ill go easy on you,” Anthony joked and you sniffed a bit so you could get ready for the fight scene again. He could tell something was wrong, he was going to confront you when this scene was over.
It all played out fine until Anthony had to use you as a suspension tool, he put his hands on your shoulders and put all his weight onto you. He dug his fingers right into the bruises on your shoulders.
“Fuck!” You screamed out in immense pain, a couple tears fell down your cheeks.
“Y/n whats going on?” Anthony Russo asked.
“I just need a quick break please.” You begged as more tears threatened to fall.
“20 minute break everyone!” The Russo brothers called.
“Y/n!” Mackie called but you were long gone, already half way to your trailer.
“We need to go talk to her,” Sebastian told Mackie, they both had the same idea as they sprinted after you.
When you got to your trailer, the tears didn't stop, you sank down next to the door and just sobbed, it was an ugly, loud, desperate cry and you wish all this internal and external pain would just vanish.
“Y/n!” Anthony burst through the doors, throwing all caution to the wind.
“No!!” You shouted out but it was too late, Anthony and Sebastian were standing in-front of you, in your trailer, eyes wide with worry.
“Y/n please,” Anthony kneeled next to you. You just buried your head in his neck and sobbed. “Shhh, shhh its okay,” He stroked the back of your hair as you uncontrollably relieved your heart. “Breath Y/n breath,” Sebastian got on his knees and stroked your arm. Your breathing now becoming erratic. “Y/n breath,” Anthony had a look of complete worry.
He grasped your upper arms and made you look at him. “Y/n you need to breath, focus on me okay?” You nodded as your chin trembled. He had never seen you like this before. “Breath in,” You tried. “Breath out,” You tried again. You continued that until your breathing was under control.
For a second Anthony just stared at you.
“What happened girl?” You just shook your head. To test the waters Anthony put his hand on your shoulder will little force and you shouted from the pain. “Please don’t.” You squeaked, your throat raw from crying. There was an unspoken agreement, Anthony grabbed the hem of your shirt and lifted it up. The look on their faces would be ingrained in your mind for a long time yet to come. Yet again you just burst out crying. Anthony waved his hands around and Sebastian was gone and Anthony was just cradling you, he was crying into your hair. “Why wouldn't you tell me,”
Thats the last thing you heard before sleep consumed you.
You woke up to a foreign view and a foreign smell. You knew where you were instantly. You sat up and winced, your pelvis ached each time your moved. The first thing you saw was Chris, sitting there with this hands covering his mouth like he was thinking, leg bouncing up and down and just starting at you with sorrowful eyes. As soon as you locked eyes with him, you broke down again, this time is was Chris’s turn to cradle you. “Shhhh, I promise its going to be okay,” He cooed. “Im so sorry,” was all you could coo back. “Don’t speak.” He said.
You and Chris stayed like that until Sebastian and Anthony showed up, you instantly felt safe, you missed how this felt.
“Im so sorry.” Was all you could say, your mind couldn't think of anything else for once, just how sorry you were. All three men had tears in their eyes. All three men were there to support you, they weren’t going to shout or be angry, they cared.
“We love you so much.” Anthony said with a hand on your knee.
-
It took you a good 30 minuted to muster up the courage to tell them what happened.
They all sat and listened contently about how you met Alex.
“Then stuff started getting serious, they would... touch me without my consent,” You said.
“Did you say no?” Chris asked.
You nodded. “They said they would tell you all bad things about me if I didn't comply,” You answered. The group sighed.
“Thats why you were so distant,” Seb said.
You nodded again. “They didn't want me to be close to you guys.”
Seb put his hand on your knee and rubbed.
“The yesterday, after we had the argument, I went to their house and thats when they fully, you know,” You couldn't hold back. You put your hands up to your face and sobbed again. “We know, we know, you dont have too say it,” Sebastian rubbed your back.
“Y/n” Chris said, you looked up at him. He was fully sobbing also. “I love you so much and I am so sorry for everything that I said, I didn't mean any of it I promise,” You nodded. “Neither did I, I love all you guys, im so fucking sorry,” You sobbed some more.
After you talked some more, the boys decided it would be the right idea to take you to the hospital, just incase.
-
“The X-Ray shows a broken collar bone,” The doctor admitted. All three men sighed and Anthony muttered a little ‘oh gosh’. “Im so sorry Y/n,” The doctor was extremely empathetic. “We will just have to put it in a sling for a week or two and no extra circular for at least three,”
“Three weeks!!” You exclaimed, “I cant not work for three weeks!! We have shooting.” You explained.
“Y/n, its fine,” Chris explained. “The Russo’s will understand.” You just leant your head back against the hospital bed. “Can we go now, hospitals make me uneasy.” The boys were slightly more happy that you were getting more verbal again.
“With your consent, we would like to do a rape kit, just to see if there is any damage internally.” You nodded your head slowly.
The exam was uncomfortable, your whole body was tense and rigid.
“Its okay darling, relax.” The lady was so lovely and she made you feel at ease for a bit but the impending thought was about what was happening to Alex.
“Okay its all done darling, would you like your guardians to come in whilst I tell you the results so they can hear it too?” You nodded.
The men got ushered in and they stood by your side, hands on your upper arms.
“So there wasn't any internal damage but there is alot of tissue and a bit of muscle damage and some dark bruising both on the pelvis and inner and outer thighs,” You nodded. “That will take some time to heal and might get a bit painful so we will give you some pain killers for that and some cream for the bruises,” She gave you a sweet smile.
“You did so well, “ Chris cooed as he stroked your hair. You nodded at him.
“Watch thinking about girl,” Anthony butted in.
You took a breath and spilled. “Its just Alex, whats going to happen to them,” You worried.
“They are going to get what they deserve, thats what.” Sebastian butted in.
You nodded and started to tear up.
“Y/n” Chris said and you looked up at him.
“We are with you till the end of the line.”

Do u have any good lady's isekai falls-in-love-with-a-prince-from-a-novel type webcomic recommendation? I read 2 and now im hooked
Do I EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of these I find on Webtoon. If you join webtoon and read regularly, you'll see them suggesting more things you might like, and new stuff on the main page, and you'll discover more and more of them, too. 💖
Tumblr media
Happily Ever Afterwards - The heroine is reborn AFTER the epilogue of her fave novel, after her favorite character has been exiled from the kingdom due to the story’s events (he’s a tragic, sympathetic character).  She sets about traveling to the cold, difficult kingdom of his exile to try to convince him to marry her, so that she can give him the happiness he deserves to have after all of the sad events from the book!  This comic is SOOOOO sweet, cute, and fluffy-fluff! ☁️
-
Tumblr media
The First Night With the Duke - Starts out with a lot of comedy, but has gotten much more serious as the chapters have progressed, with some intense scenes that I haven’t been crazy about.  The heroine completely derails the plot of the novel by being born as a random, unnamed side-character who accidentally seduces the male lead, and no romance between him and the actual female lead ever even has the chance to happen. 😅
-
Tumblr media
The Matchmaking Baby Princess - The heroine is born as a tiny baby princess, who uses her super cute charm to influence the characters around her so that things turn out better for them than the way the novel goes.  This one is still fairly new, so the episodes haven’t shown a whole lot about how she derails the story yet, but, it is REALLLY CUUUUUTE!!  And has very beautiful scenes of palatial gardens and such.  Also obviously the heroine herself is not the one that the romance happens to lol.
-
Tumblr media
His Majesty's Proposal - This one is a bit similar to The First Night With the Duke, with a rando side character getting proposed to by the prince after spending a night with him.  A fun twist with this one is that the heroine is reincarnated from a crotchety old woman in her previous life, so she uses all kinds of old person slang (like calling people “whippersnappers” and stuff like that lol) and is kind of rude and grumpy lol.
-
Tumblr media
Every Rose Has a Death Flag - Pretty typical isekai where the heroine is reincarnated as the villainess and knows that all of her ends are bad ends, so she tries to remove herself from the attentions of the prince and the other main characters, but through the process ends up endearing herself to them instead.  Good stuff without any weird quirks or gimmicks. 👌
-
Tumblr media
Tricked into Becoming the Heroine's Stepmother - The protagonist is actually one of the AUTHORS of this novel, so she is familiar with exactly what will be happening to all of the characters!  She is reincarnated as a rando townsperson though, and doesn’t have much influence, until she appeals to the prince and just spills the fact that she’s the author and knows everything that’s going to happen to the princess (his daughter) in the future lol?!  And he believes her??  And employs her to his household in order to prevent any of the princess’ suffering???  Also did I mention that the princess is the most adorable little toddler ever, with fluffy hair like a chestnut? 😭😭
-
Tumblr media
The Male Lead's Girl Friend - Again, the heroine is reborn as the villainess of the story, and attempts to distance herself from the male lead as much as she can (endearing herself to him in the process).  Some of the interesting quirks here are that she ships the male and female lead SUPER HARD, and is trying everything she can to hook them up together, but they both only seem to fall for her harder with every attempt. 😄 There is also a cool school/academy setting to this one to set it apart from the others with similar plots, as well as BIG YURI VIBES between the protagonist and the female lead.
-
Tumblr media
How to Survive a Romance Fantasy - This is the most comedy-intensive of everything on this list.  In fact, it just kept getting sillier as its chapters went on, and I actually dropped it from my reading list because it wasn’t making me laugh as hard anymore as it was in the beginning.. 😅 In this one, three normal-world folks are reborn in the fantasy world, as the heroine, the prince, and the villainess, and ALL THREE of them hate it and want nothing to do with the plot, so they run away as far from the plot as they can, and are also keeping their identities as the main characters secret from one another.  It is very, very silly.
-
Non-Webtoon Webcomics
These have not been officially picked up & translated.  To read them in English, you will have to find them online where they are posted by fan translators.
Tumblr media
The Villainess is a Marionette - This is for real probably my very favorite comic on this whole list, and can you believe how beautiful the art style is???  The tone of this one is totally different from any of the others here.  The protagonist is reborn as a malicious villainess with particularly cruel endings in her future, and she sets about to avoid them by using her power, influence, and wiles to manipulate the royal intrigue happening around her.  She’s... RELATIVELY kinder than the original villainess was in the story, and several characters that were her enemies in the original story are endeared to her now, but she’s still got her claws sunk into the royal family’s shady dealings.  This is a “bad boss b*tch” kind of heroine lol, and it’s super satisfying to see her come out ahead of the other villains with her crazy 4D chess manipulations.
-
Tumblr media
Sincerely: I Became a Duke's Maid - A super snuggly, sweet, and fluffy story where the protagonist is reborn as a maid during the tragic antihero’s childhood.  He is afflicted with a painful curse, and the protagonist, knowing that only more pain is ahead for him, does her best to befriend him and make his youth a little bit lighter.
-
Tumblr media
Who Made Me A Princess - Yet again, a tragic end awaits this princess that the protagonist is reborn as in her childhood, so she uses her cute charm to change the king’s attitude toward her (he was neglectful in the original story).  Some interesting original-plot-derails happen in this one, where her innate magic power is much stronger than it’s supposed to be, and she needs the help of a magical pet creature and a very handsome wizard to sustain her life in this world.

Seduce the Villain's Father - This one wins the award for having the most hilarious title in this list. 😆 It’s much cuter and lighter than it sounds!!  This protagonist derails the original plot by allowing herself to be kidnapped by the villain’s kingdom instead of the intended character (her sister).  She is reborn among characters the generation before the events of the novel, so the villain himself isn’t here yet - but his handsome dad is!  And if she can convince him not to marry the woman that would become the villain’s mother, then the storyline is saved!  Probably!

Special mention:

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Roads Lead to Doom! - This anime is probably the main “reincarnated as the villainess” isekai that introduced most of us to this concept. 😅 I’ve linked to where you can watch the anime for free on Crunchyroll, but there is also a manga if you’d prefer to read it!  While there are many, many comics that use this plot hook, this is the only one that made it to anime form, so it’s like, required watching!
-
To close this long list up, all of these recs are JUST ISEKAI!!!!  If I were recommending my favorite webcomics in general, there could also be Cursed Princess Club, The Remarried Empress, The Princess’ Jewels, and Men of the Harem in this list...
There are so, so many comics with beautiful art styles featuring gorgeous princesses, it’s crazy!! 😭😭 I could for real spend my whole life reading them probably?? 👌👌  Those millions of women that read romance novels about dukes falling in love with noble women are suddenly extremely relatable.

codename: vind
older sibling!reader
characters: diluc, kaeya ➡ mentions: adelinde, crepus, la signora warning(s): alcohol consumption, swearing, and because for some reason, older siblings tend to be shorter than younger siblings. iDK WHY but ugh, yeah you're shorter than diluc and kaeya bc you're the older sibling. ik, i hate it too
like, i wanna be a tall 6'2 woman
diluc's 5'10 so u can still be tall in the story.. just not 5'11 😢 sorry over 5'10 folks
➡ WRITTEN BEFORE 2.1 so uhh :D
notes: platonic w diluc and kaeya, duh bc ur the older sibling. sibling love!!! sibling love !! woop woop !
"Dad, I'm home!" You bellow out to the house, waving a polite hello to Adelinde who looked shocked to see you. You kick off your shoes and slide your way to the long table in the living room, swiftly grabbing an apple before heading upstairs.
Your hands graze the railings and make your way up to find your dad. Upon reaching the last flight of steps, you were suspicious with how the place was very quiet. Granted, your younger brothers are now adults, but it still felt too quiet. Maybe you expected to see your brothers playing a game of chess, maybe bickering and fencing. You were hoping to see your family after being away.
You were a part of the Fatui under the Mondstadt branch. It was and at the same time wasn't a choice to be roped into the Fatui. You got roped into the wrong group of friends and found yourself blackmailed by the infamous group.
You didn't want to join. You didn't want any of it. You've been disconnected from the world. Wiped out from the face of Earth. No one gave information to you, you couldn't learn anything about what's happening currently. The most you could do was send letters, but even those were difficult to send out. You had to do it in secrecy or you'd be in trouble.
Love, the better sibling,
[Y/N]
Or another common send off is:
Please write back soon,
[Y/N]
And your family never failed to send back letters. They asked what you're doing, where you are and how are you, still you never told them your occupation, fearful of what they would think and where your loyalties lie, so you told them you were working under an adventurer.
It's for the greater good. You remember trying to convince yourself.
You're a horrible person.
You were sixteen then. Your younger brothers were twelve. It's been 10 long years since you last saw them, and 6 years since you last received a letter back. You miss them dearly. You often wondered what sorts of adventures they did without you.
But why are you wondering about this? You knew what they did: you knew everything that happened.
You're living under a heavy burden.
"Dad?" You call out again. Maids and wine makers look aghast when they see you, and they're on the verge of fainting when you call out to your father.
Stop the act.
It's strange how the letters were suddenly cut off. The last letter you received was from Kaeya, telling you how you needed to come home straight away. You tried to, but the Fatui prevented you from doing so. A lady called La Signora supervised you directly to make sure you didn't leave.
You know...
Adelinde brushes the dust off her uniform and hurries up the stairs to catch up to you, "Dear, is that you [Y/N?]"
"Did you forget me that easily? I'm offended Miss Adelinde," you chided, but the teasing look in your eyes give Adelinde relief to know you aren't actually offended. "Miss, where's dad?"
You're sickening.
Adelinde takes one look at you and squeezes your shoulders with a smile, "I'm afraid that's not for me to say. Master Diluc should be able to-"
"Oh, where's Diluc and Kaeya?" You ponder, and the corners of your lips curl upwards. "Those two were always attached to the hip. Where are they now? Horseback riding at the vineyard? Ha! I-"
You glance at Adelinde's watery eyes and stop your babbling. "What's wrong Miss Adelinde?" You reach for her hands on your shoulders and hold them. "Ah, has father been making you work too hard? I can request him to lessen your load."
Adelinde shakes her head no. "You don't have a clue, do you? Oh," she sighs. "Please, rest yourself by the fireplace. I'll prepare tea for you." She rests her hands back at her side and scurries to the kitchen.
You frown, unsure why she's jumpy, but you follow her request and sit by the fireplace. The crackle of the fire contrasts the tense air you feel when maids brush past you, offering tea Adelinde made. You thank them, gently blowing on the drink.
After taking a sip, you place it down with a pinky to lessen the noise it makes on the table. You hear the door open, and the choruses of maids greeting someone.
"Welcome home, Master Diluc," you hear and other voices saying, "We've prepared a meal for you and your sibling, would you like to rest yourself?"
You peek from your chair, he obviously hadn't realized you yet.
Diluc's lips make a thin line and shrugs off his jacket, "Why is Kaeya visiting. Isn't he supposed to do his knightly duties?"
You have no clue why he says it like that. The venom in his voice sends a shiver down your spine. You decide this is your cue to give him a warm welcome. You stand from your seat, and open your arms in a grand gesture and waltz to your brother. "Diluc! It's been a while huh?"
You clearly see him tense hearing your voice. His head snapped to your direction with his mouth parted. The maids respectively take their leave, bowing before they do so.
Diluc looks you up and down, still not believing you're there, like you're just his imagination. His hand slowly reaches out to you as if you're a dream.
Your feet lead you closer and you grasp him tightly in an embrace.
He freezes, but slowly relaxes in your hug, reluctantly bringing up his own arms to wrap around you. You feel his grip tightening, and you feel his shake out silent sobs. His face buries in your neck, letting tears fall on your clothes.
You soothe his back, and press a kiss on his hair. "I'm home, Diluc."
He trembles, pushing himself away to look at you clearly. Why hadn't you come home earlier? He wanted to vent, he wanted to yell, shout, he wanted to know how much he missed you in your absence.
He clears his throat and coughs in his fist. "You should have told me about your arrival," he adjusts the gloves on his hands, and looks to the floor like he did when he admitted he accidentally broke your toy when you were 10.
After these years, he still looks up to you as his older sibling. Not a thing has changed.
But you couldn't help but notice one thing. You knew Diluc and Kaeya had matured, you knew they would grow taller, but shit, now Diluc's taller than you.
"I sent a letter a month ago," you began. "It should have been sent to your office in the Favonius Headquarters? That's where I send my mail after you told me about your promotion to Cavalry Captain."
You squish his cheeks with both your hands. "Because I know you're a workaholic and only respond to letters that mean business, so that's where I sent it off to. You never write back, neither does Kaeya," you pause, thinking for a moment. "Neither does dad. Tell me he hasn't gotten sick that he couldn't respond to my letters."
Diluc lifts your hands off his face and frowns. He doesn't know how to break the news to you- not when you look so excited to be home and tell of your adventures to your family, so he asks, "Did you eat yet?"
You note the frown on his face. "'What's got you grumpy," you prod. "I need to find dad first. Told him in the first letter I gave him, I'd give the first gem I find."
Diluc watches you leave him to go to Crepus' room on the second floor. He hears the thuds on the floor and the opening of the door, but does nothing to stop you. You left with a smile, and you come back confused.
"Why is dad's room empty?"
How cruel.
...
Kaeya hums, passing by Flora's shop and purchasing a Calla Lily for the sake of it. He is well aware of the Fatui that stand by corners. Whispers of the wind give him intel, and so does alcohol apparently. He leans on a wall right outside Angel's Share, watching two Fatui members drink some of the tavern's strongest alcohol, imported from Snezhnaya.
"That damn," the one with the red and black mask hiccups, lifting a mug with foam overflowing. "Damn brat's gonna snitch on us to the Knights- *hiCC* boss lady wou- *HicC* would have our heads!"
Thankfully, their more responsible Fatui friend takes the mug and switches it with their drink, water. "You're the one who let Vindicta out of your sight when you know their frequencies to escape. This is all on you, buckaroo."
One of the Fatui escaped? How peculiar.
Kaeya hums, in steady strides he shows himself to the Fatui and takes a seat from another table and sits in front of the two. "My, my, my. If it isn't the wonderful Fatui," he divuldges. He twirls his Calla Lily around his fingers, amused with the Fatui's reactions.
Their mouths drop, knowing who he is and they hastily clean themselves up by sitting straight and wiping away the alcohol from their faces. "Good evening, sir."
"Evening to you too," he places the flower behind the person's ear, flustering them. "Well? Drink up. Everything you order will be on me."
The Fatui look at each other, skeptical with Kaeya's kindness, but the drunken one accepts the offer. Kaeya celebrates in the inside as he slowly gains Fatui intel.
Though, the second Fatui whom he dubbed the "Responsible One," took a while for them to take a sip. Turns out, they couldn't handle alcohol, that's why they avoided drinking it.
"So, my dear friends," he slides a coin on the table and stares both of them down. "A mora for your thoughts? I couldn't help but notice the tense of your shoulders when you first arrived here."
Responsible One raises their mug drunkenly, and gives a pointed look, "You... you know too much. How?..." They stare at their friend and whisper shout, "Don't tell him about Vind or-" They fail to continue their sentence and pass out on the table.
Kaeya feigns a surprised face and looks at Fatui number 2, "Who exactly is Vind? I'm sure you don't mean the storm watcher up at the cliff." He coats his voice with sugar, and it seems Fatui friend fell for his kindness.
"The damn brat," they spit out before hiccupping again. "Recruited them, fed them, saw potential, gave a home, and they escaped."
Kaeya nods and pushes another bottle of wine to the Fatui's direction, urging them to continue.
"Was supposed to be one of the Agents to spy on the *hiCc* to spy on the Ragnvindr family, because *HicC* Vind was one of the best there is. They were about to be promoted Harbinger after an assignment *hiCCUpp* but then Big Boss Lady said 'End the Ragnvindr legacy,' Vindicta left without a word. They escaped."
The Fatui downs another bottle of wine. "But judging from Boss Lady's reaction, Vind did the job: killed him and placed the blame on the Knights."
The Calvary Captain knits his brows and places his hands in front of him. It laced themselves and he watches the Fatui person empty out his wine.
"I'd be careful of what you say if I were you." His lone eye glints dangerously.
"End the legacy?" Kaeya frowns. "Can I ask..." He couldn't ask why or the Fatui would stop talking to him. "Can I ask when your beloved spy did their job?"
The Fatui waves a hand, "Six years ago. After they killed that damn aristocrat's father, they tried escaping. Big Boss supervised them under their watch. 'Potential' the Harbingers always say, but I don't see the potential in them if they don't have loyalties under the Fatui. A wild card, really."
They lay their cheek on the table. The temperature drops quite dangerously. Kaeya's diamond eye glints with coldness before it turns back to warmth.
"Rumours have it," the Fatui sighs, playing with his empty mug. "The training Vindicta went through is rougher, so we were hoping they would tie their loyalties to us. We let them explore once, and they escaped under my watch. Maybe it was their assignment to leave, maybe it's not, because Boss Lady was okay with it, she said 'Vindicta will always return in our hands.' when they first escaped, and surely enough they do return. But either way, I'm fucked for letting them go missing the third time of the week."
Kaeya laughs with no soul and quickly ends the lovely 'conversation.' He pushes himself from the table and stands, "Thank you for chatting with me, it's been interesting." He tucks in the chair and glances at the two Fatui dozing, or close to dozing off.
He swiftly turns away, scoffing when he's out of sight from people. Vindicta is a dangerous card. Not even the Fatui know where their loyalties side.
Vindicta. How peculiar indeed.
One of the best Fatui, which probably meant they were payed well with respect and mora, but why are they labeled as an escapee when they always return? With someone as dangerous as a Harbinger, who do they side with- the Fatui or something else?
Kaeya has a lot of questions.
...
Diluc sits on a cushioned chair and hunches over, resting his chin on his hands, thinking.
Always thinking.
The once lit fireplace is soaked with water he splashed over. The scent of burnt wood wafts nearby. The light chatter of maids go through one ear and leave the other.
How long had it been since he last saw you?
Eternity is his answer. It's been eternity since he last saw you.
He lets out a long sigh, throwing his head back and running a hand through his untied locks.
Too much thinking for today. Diluc groans in frustration and sits back up. He turns his head slightly, seeing you in the corner of his eyes taking out boxes of things you owned from 10 years before.
It doesn't make sense to him. Why come back so suddenly after years of not seeing you? Though, you claim you sent him letters, he never got them because he closed himself off from the Knights.
"Diluc," you set down a small picture of a family portrait you took out from hiding behind many books.
You are taking this oddly well.
You're taking this too well, in fact.
This raises a red flag for Diluc. He told you the fall out of your family, how he quit the Knights, but still you're going around the place like nothing had happened.
Don't you feel any rage? Or even sadness?
He sees too many red flags and hates it- from the way you can hide things like Kaeya so easily, to the way you just suddenly appear back in his life. It feels weird. It's not easy to let someone that in quick, yet you're still his role model, so it's okay, right?
He's always looked up to you when he was younger. You never were at a loss of words and stood up for him. You were the person he can turn to when something wrong happens, but what were you doing for yourself to be gone for so long? Adventuring Teyvat could not have taken ten whole years. Where did you even stay?
"Diluc," you crouch in front of him and talk to him as if he were six again. "I'm okay, okay?"
Diluc takes a shaky breath and sits up straight. His posture resembling a king's. "I have an idea, and I would like you to help me."
You look at him in awe. The realization settles in: Diluc has grown, and you're still stuck trying to make up the past.
"And what do I help you with?"
"Finding who's responsible for father's death."
notes: had this in my drafts for a long time and i was like "wait where was i going with this..." until BAM i have the idea again so im gonna continue it

How Shadow and Bones Differentiate Villain and Anti-Hero
Alright, first I need to claim the fact that I love dark, edgy, but misunderstood bad boy in stories with the potential of epic redemption. Loki from Marvel. Jason Todd from DC. Captain Hook from Once Upon a Time. Zuko from AtLA. You name them, I simp them.
So when I watched this new show on Netflix and shown a tall, handsome man in dark clothing, both respected and feared for his power. I feel... nothing.
WHICH IS WEIRD! Like... he’s obviously my type. Complete with the sad backstory and vicious streak. So I kept wondering why I wasn’t enamored by the Darkling, Alexander Kirigan. I wasn’t surprised he was the main villain, I even expected it. But I usually at least have a bit of sympathy for them. This OOC behavior of mine made me introspect myself and the show, trying to find out which part gave me the red flags before Mother Darkling decides to pop the chosen one out halfway in the season.
That’s when it hit me; there were red flags! The show had been subtly trying to tell us Kirigan is a manipulative boyfriend not just by great acting and good directing, but by comparing him with the actual anti-hero of the story who I actually love; Kaz Brekker.
Here’s the list of signs you might not notice of why Kirigan is meant to be a Villain instead of an Anti-Hero.
1. The Eyes
"The eyes are the window to the soul" is a common saying and and the key to good acting for any good show. Eyes tell us a lot about what a person’s character is like and SaB showed us the difference of a sincere man and a man with a hidden agenda.
Tumblr media
Look at him! Look at that little smirk. Look at the gaze. That's the look you find when someone's evil little plan is finally coming together. Not one awed by the power or by Alina. A blatant sus move is what I'm saying. Congrat, first flag planted.
Sure he could still fall in love with Alina, but that doesn't stop his agenda either. All it does is potentially create conflict for him to pick either his plan for revenge or life with Alina.
Tumblr media
In comparison, look at Kaz when he said this to Inej; "She isn't like you, no one is." Straightforward eyes. Serious grim. No nonsense tone. Inej is one of the most talented and terrifying rogue-assassin and Kaz just blatantly said that he kept her from 'slavery' because of who she is, not what she's capable of. Like... the man has no shame being known to love her while still trying to be professional (or as professional a thief can be). I can respect that.
This is the eye of a man who would abandon everything to make sure she comes out alright in the end. Do not argue with me on this!
2. Leverage and Status
The moment Alina steps into the Little Palace she was treated like a princess. A palace, by the way, that’s managed by the Darkling. She gets favorable treatment; from the food, Zoya displaced when she fought Alina, a horseback ride just the two of them, asking her to call by his name to make them familiar, a black uniform that might as well be claiming???
Tumblr media
Dude is desperate is what I’m saying.
Sure, this could all be romantic gestures. There’s the problem that Kirigan is superior in status and name, powerful Grisha, and has a vested interest in her power. Pursuing romance while Kirigan has the ability to make her life heaven or hell with a snap of his finger made every single decision be seen with wariness.
"Beware of powerful men," Genya couldn't put it any better.
Had they pursued romance after they destroy the fold, cementing Alina’s position as a saint more. Then I might have let go of that wariness.
I’m only proven correct when the moment Alina turned away from him, Kirigan made another leverage by (spoiler!) putting an antler to her collarbone... eeeewwww much?!
That’s how desperate the Darkling is to be in control of a person and a situation.
And when no letter came for Alina? That a big red flag because who else in this castle can control the coming of going of letter with the Savior. HMMMMMMMMMMM.....
Then there’s Kaz. My man. There’s no competition. This guy held no leverage on my dear Inej. When she almost decided to leave, Kaz didn't force or convince her to stay but he ask her. Doesn't remind her of her debt whether monetary or life debt to him. In fact, this guy needs money for revenge but instead mortgage his main source of income for her freedom.
Tumblr media
HE POSTPONED HIS LIFE GOAL TO FREE HER FROM DEBT ASJHAKFSDJGLDFJ!!!
What more do I need to say?
3. Sympathy Card
This is the type of point you want to watch out from your partners, ladies, gents, and others. The sympathy card is the way to go when anyone wants to reach out to you so you can take care of them before they abuse or gaslight you.
While it’s good to share trauma and eased the burden, sometimes it's healthy to ask yourself whether the person can take advantage of you and to verify whether they lie to you or not.
When Kirigan shared about his past as a sympathetic boy with his secluded fountain and coin. Everything about that scene rang warning bells for me... the part he had requested her to use his color... requesting to horse ride with just them two... sharing sob story that may encourage Alina to help him...
Kudos to Alina to see through the fact she's seen as a means to an end.
It was only when Kirigan showed righteous anger and frustration of a war that's killing his people did Alina finally opened her heart to him.
Tumblr media
Kaz however doesn't use the sympathy card. Heck, the man likes to believe he shed away any weakness and threw it in the harbor where it belongs. Kaz hates weaknesses. And garnering sympathy is an admission of weakness for him.
We still know there's a tragic backstory as any decent anti-hero would have... but by not sharing that, this implies that Inej and Jesper stayed because of who he is, and not because of who he was or how he came to be. They don't need a sob story to stay together and that showed a stronger bond between them.
Tumblr media
4. Friends
To be frank, I find this the most hilarious because this point is the one that convinced me that Kirigan was secretly an evil bastard.
He doesn’t have any friends!!!
Like... dude had a literal witch army, a wife once, a fuck buddy, and a girlfriend but there wasn’t a single moment in the show where someone, outside of Alina and superior, to speak casually to him.
You’re telling me this person... the most powerful and influential Grisha in the East Ravka, charming as hell, handsome as fuck, and yet he doesn’t have friends?!
“I’ve buried good soldiers... friends...” Get the fuck out of here! WHAT FRIENDS?!?! Maybe if you get off your little power trip from your self-made pedestal, you can actually be less of an asshole and make one.
Sure he excused himself by blaming his ‘ancestor’ for being a shadow summoner. I can see how the fear makes it hard for him to get close to anybody. But all the other characters who are part of his army only ever shown to speak with him respectfully, and the royalty even commend him. No one disrespected him even openly and you’re telling me he doesn’t have one friend amidst all these people?!
In comparison, look at Kaz. He’s brash, crude, and unapologetic. He held true to his moniker ‘Bastard of the Barrel’ and yet this ass has friends. They show Jesper joking with Kaz, and Kaz has shown to banter with him back as well as tolerating his gambling addiction when it could have jeopardized the Job. Inej was shown to actually argue and have disagreement with Kaz when he’s technically her boss. Can you imagine the Darkling doing that? CAN YOU?!
No. Because he's a pretentious ass. That's why.
This is a great example of the use “show not tell” of how Kaz despite his obvious edges has a soft spot shown through his relationship with Inej and Jesper, who have a friendly dynamic. I can attest that while Kaz didn’t create a good first impression, I love Jesper and Inej (they are precious!) so much that I project it to Kaz in extension.
On the other hand, Kirigan’s goodwill had only ever been told by outsiders or himself. None from his inner circle (which he doesn’t have!) other than his mother, who ended up outing him instead.
So I applaud the writers and showrunners of SaB to actually have subtext signs of a manipulative bastard. The Duckling is a good villain character that's complex but unredeemable. Sometimes, you just have a good ol' charming villain you can't redeem and that's okay.

A Loki TVA/Lokane fic. Rating T.
Previously: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 (of 6)
Shine a Light, part 5
He is aware that the love of his life is digging her fingers into his arm and saying his name.
He is aware of Stark standing to his other side, visor off, speaking to someone on the phone. His voice is hard.
But most of all, Loki is aware that all their lives were just changed by a great big terrifying rip in the seam of reality.
Neither Jane nor the Avenger could possibly be completely sure of what they saw. Loki, as much as he desperately wants to, harbors little doubt.
The man he held in a death-grip only minutes ago and who just now disappeared through a doorway conjured out of thin air was somehow … himself.
Another him. Just as the man had said.
After witnessing from afar the double kiss Jane, Loki, who was coming back from a swim, had been more than ready to skip past introductions and just sever the intruder’s head from his body.
But as soon as he had laid hands on him, a torrent of images had flooded his mind – chaotic, confused images that seemed to span past, present, future and beyond.
The shock had made him lessen his grip and the double had used his (his!) magic to throw him off.
With some distance between them and Stark suddenly there as well, Loki had tried to let his rage quell the dizzying realization. Unsuccessfully.
He is still shaking, clutching a dagger in each hand. He drew them instinctively as the other made for the door.
He should have caught him!
“Loki! What did he say?!”
“What?” His thoughts are racing in too many directions to hear her.
“The … man, what was he saying to you?!”
Jane is looking up at him with those beautiful brown eyes, worry and urgency all over her delicate features. Though not fear, Loki notes. His ever-brave wife. Both her hands are now clamped around his wrist.
That thing kissed her.
The daggers disappear and Loki wraps both arms around the mother of his unborn child, almost crushing her to his chest while still staring at the spot where the double vanished.
“It’s okay. It’s okay, love”, he murmurs. He suspects things are very much not okay.
So does Jane, of course.
“Loki, was it … oof, not so tight … “
She wriggles against him, and he remembers his amor. And her condition. He immediately relaxes his arms a bit while letting the leather and metal melt back into the clothes he wore before: Black jeans and a fitted, dusty green t-shirt (his “rockstar outfit”, Jane had called it, when Loki first started switching up his human wardrobe some years ago now). Drops of saltwater still cling to the ends of his slightly curly raven locks.
“Tony! Jane, Loki! What on Earth was that?”
Pepper jumps out of the car parked in front of the house and runs towards them. She must have seen everything as she drove down the road following her flying husband.
“The verdict’s still out, Peps”. Tony nods at Loki. “You wanna chip in here? I just called the boy-scout at headquarters and told him to be on guard for one of the magician’s interns playing a prank”.
Loki shakes his head slowly.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think Stephen had anything to do with this”.
“You’re right, I didn’t”.
All four of them turn around to see the sorcerer step out of a swirling ring of light, his cape billowing around him. The mahogany floor and paneled walls of his Manhattan mansion are briefly visible behind him before the portal closes with a hiss of little sparks.
Strange is wearing an even sterner expression than usual which only adds to Loki’s growing sense of dread.
Tony, however, groans loudly.
“Dude, really? Couldn’t you at least have let us have dinner before party crashing? Not shaming your bachelor lifestyle or anything, but this was couples’ night!”
“Tony!” Pepper hits her husband on the arm.
Strange ignores him.
“I’m afraid the arrival of your surprise visitor indicates that a set of … unfortunate events have been set in motion”.
As always, his voice is as even as if he was reading the weather forecast, but by now Loki has learned to differentiate the (very) subtle nuances between scorn and sincerity. Strange places his hands behind his back and regards them coolly. “I’ve had Wong reach out to Doctor Banner and director Fury. They should be here shortly. Stark, you may want to-”.
Tony narrows his eyes, lip twitching.
“Hey, Bleeker Street, you know I have low tolerance for you showing up and barking orders without giving two f**** for context. How did you even know that something was going down here? By all means, don’t keep us in suspense until the cavalry gets here”.
Strange doesn’t answer, but the way his eyes dart to Jane sends needles through Loki’s heart.
“Let’s go sit down, shall we?” With one eyebrow raised, Strange puts on a suave smile and gestures towards the house. The effect is a little startling.
Jane ducks out from under Loki’s arms. “Jane, don’t you want to-“. She brushes him off.
“Yes, good idea, Stephen. Let’s go sit down”. She motions for Strange to follow. “Welcome to our home. I was actually making drinks before, but I think I need to add a bit more kick to them…”
Her voice is oddly calm, and Loki fights the urge to grab her and magic them both far, far away, not caring that she would be furious with him for making decisions on her behalf.
He’s brought back to the present by an even odder sound as Strange actually chuckles.
Loki is not sure he’s ever heard it before. Then again, it’s not that he really knows Strange when it comes down to it. Like Tony, Loki finds the wizard exceedingly arrogant.
Pepper is the first to follow Jane and Strange across the lawn while Loki and Tony hang back.
“Real ladies’ man when he wants to. Who would have thought”. The billionaire superhero scoffs. His suit has folded itself off and into a briefcase next to his feet.
“Tony-“
“Uh oh. First name basis. So this really is an emergency”.
Loki faces his friend. Often in the past years, as they’ve grown steadily closer outside of “work”, he has secretly marveled at how long they’ve come since someone threw someone else off a building after being called a diva.
And attacking a city with an alien army.
Jane always insisted the two “hotheads” (her word) had a lot in common when not trying to murder one another (be it with weapons or sarcastic commentary), and Loki has to admit she was right. The metal man is fiercely intelligent, and Loki has been enjoying the quick-witted snark between them infinitely more than he ever valued the company of Thor’s band of gullible warrior groupies on Asgard.
“Well?”. Tony is regarding him with eyebrows raised, expectant. “Give me your take on this cause I’m starting to put together some rather outlandish theories myself here that I’m kinda hoping you’ll thwart ASAP”.
Loki draws in a deep breath.
“That thing with Banner at the tower two years ago-“
“Fuck!” Tony exhales, exasperated. “I knew you were gonna say that”. He squints into the distance towards the ocean, his mouth a tight line. It’s a rare day that Tony Stark is caught under a clear blue sky without sunglasses but for once he doesn’t seem to notice.
Loki takes a step closer to him and lowers his voice so they won’t alert the others just yet.
“I told you then and you didn’t want to listen! Everything about Bruce’s story was off. I know he didn’t remember much after Steve took him down, but you all pretty much accused me of trying to get back at him for, well, you know what, and I kept telling you I thought someone had gotten to him! Now-“
Loki searches for the words. It’s beyond absurd.
“That man was a version of me, Tony. I have no idea how, but I felt it. I saw into his mind. It was filled with images from my past and then … other, recent memories. Dark ones. He came from nowhere. Literally. It didn’t feel like a place. I tried to discard it as a trick, you saw that, but…” Loki runs his hand through his moist hair. “Stephen obviously felt something tear open too. And that is not a good sign”.
He has Tony’s full attention.
“Tear open? Could this other you be associated with your old boss? With Thanos?”
Loki winces.
“No, I don’t think he’s involved”, he says sharply. “But I can’t be sure …”
Tony catches his tone pats his shoulder. “Okay, okay. Shake it off. Didn’t mean to suggest anything. Let’s say he’s not. I’d much prefer that, at least until the wizard presents us with an even uglier imminent threat to the universe. Which, judging by the fact that he’s even here, willingly sipping cocktails in your kitchen as we speak, he probably will”.
Tony throws his hands up with a dramatic air.
“And here I thought the most challenging part of this weekend would be to convince you two to come see Hamilton with us in the city next week!”
“Who’s-“
“Never mind. Did you get a look at that gadget your guy was holding? Boy, he looked like an office slave who’d slept under his desk for a month before getting fired, didn’t he? Were you ever into accounting yourself by any chance?”
Loki shuts his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. Immediately he sees the image of the double kissing Jane, his arms wrapped firmly around her supple body. Rage rushes right back through him and his eyes snap open.
“Stark - I can’t. But yes, I did notice the device. It looked like a phone”.
“Yeah, somehow I don’t think it was the new iPhone”.
Tony shakes his head.
“The two of us and we didn’t take him down. Fury’s gonna have our badges”.
//
The director of SHIELD and Bruce Banner arrive barely 15 minutes later through a portal in the middle of the meadow-like lawn, following Wong and both looking grim and out of place as they weave around patches of wildflowers to reach the porch.
“Gentlemen, I trust you’re well”. Loki greets the trio with an only vaguely sarcastic nod as he holds open the screen doors to them, like a good host. Despite what some may still think, he can behave.
He could have just used magic of course, but he figures Banner is freaked enough as it is just by being here. The scientist hasn’t spoken more than five words to him since 2014 and at least three of them were expletives.
Once inside the small living room, Bruce goes to stand by the window and busies himself polishing his glasses with a little too much vigor than seems warranted.
He avoids Loki’s eyes but looks up and smiles wearily as Jane comes over to say hello.
Fury leans against the doorframe to the hallway and crosses his arms, face a closed book, and, by the sound of it, Tony is going through the cabinets in the kitchen trying to find something to spice up Jane’s pre-dinner cocktails.
Pepper is talking to Strange and Wong on the blue IKEA couch (assembled by magic after the attempt to go at it “as a team” turned into a shouting match), and Loki is about to politely ask Strange to please spit it out right this minute, when Jane is next to him, taking his hand.
“We need to talk. Now”.
Her voice is low and steady but her eyes insisting. She squeezes his fingers.
He squeezes back. “Come”.
Loki looks to Fury but he’s focused on Strange who’s listening very closely to something Wong’s saying.
Not letting go of Jane’s hand, he turns towards the kitchen. In the doorway they pass Tony who’s now holding what appears to be a glass of scotch. He must have given up on the gin and tonics.
“Hey, where are you two going? Forget about playing hosts okay, let’s just get started with part two of the evening’s entertainment”.
“In a minute”.
Jane pushes past him, ignoring Tony’s look and dragging Loki with her.
She closes the door behind them.
“Okay, so…” Jane looks around nervously in the small kitchen with the rustic white fronts and old brass handles. She loves that kitchen. They haven’t changed a thing since moving in. Loki reaches for her, but she takes a step back. “Jane, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I should have gotten there faster. Did he …“
“I need you tell me exactly what he said to you”.
She is absentmindedly opening and closing her fists in the way she does when that brilliant astrophysicist mind of hers is working out an intricate problem in the lab.
Or, Loki knows, when she’s about to deliver him bad news.
He clears his throat. “He said he was me. And that something big was happening”. There. “And then he said he was sorry”.
Jane studies his face.
“That he was sorry? For what?”
“He didn’t say. He stepped through the door”.
Jane is quiet and now it’s Loki’s turn to try and read her expression.
“What did he say to you? I assume he pretended to be me …?”
Jane holds up a hand and bites her lip. Loki swallows.
“Loki, when we were staying at the flat in London, after we defeated Malekith…”
“What?” Loki furrows his brow in confusion. “Why are we-“
“The poison from the monster’s blade, it had you slipping in and out of consciousness for days. You were so feverish…”
“Yes, I know. I was there”. Loki’s blood is slowly turning very cold, but he musters a smile. “And you were amazing, love. Although some might say you took adv-“
Jane interrupts him in the middle of his blossoming smirk. A slight blush appears on her own cheeks.
“Yes, um, it’s not about that day”. She gives him a stern look. “The other day, later, when Thor left after you two went and had your, um, talk … there’s something I need to tell you …”
The door to the living room opens behind them.
“Actually, if you don’t mind, Doctor Foster, I would very much like to hear this too”.
Stephen Strange steps into the kitchen. The door closes behind him.

Nuka-World
A Deacon X Sole Fanfic
[AO3]
[Part 1] [Part 2]
Nuka-World
“I guess I’m just confused about why they dedicated an entire section of the park to their space theme. Why not just a ride?” MacCready asked, eyeing the Star Port tower in the Galactic Zone at Nuka-World.
“To get the youth excited about space exploration,” Danse answered in his usual serious tone. “They wanted to recruit potential cadets young.”
MacCready pulled a face at this explanation. “Do kids really like space, though?”
“Seriously, MacCready?” Sole asked. “You have a kid. You should know this.”
Deacon listened to the group theorizing over the chosen aesthetic of Nuka-World while he slid a Cappy shirt over his head with a grin.
“I know Dez sent us here to recover the kidnapped synth, but all this free merch is going to be incredibly distracting,” Deacon said.
At his words, Sole’s eyes grew large. “Where did you get that? I want one!”
Deacon nodded to the merchandise rack behind him and smiled as Sole scampered over with pure joy in her eyes. Danse watched with slight disapproval while MacCready continued examining the Star Port in confusion.
Bringing the tin can and the grumpy sniper along hadn’t been Deacon’s idea. Dez had said they’d need more than just Deacon and Sole on this mission since they had so much ground to cover. When Deacon had suggested Tinker Tom, Dez had just laughed and told Sole to ask some of “her people”. Whatever that meant.
Apparently, Sole’s “people” were a self-hating synth boy scout and MacCready, whose skill Deacon respected, but he still didn’t like the idea of someone honing in on his mission.
“This entire park seems wildly unsafe for children,” Danse said, his thick brows knitted together in a line.
“Nuka Cola has always been a bit shady,” MacCready agreed. “Makes sense that their park wouldn’t be quite as kid-friendly as it should be.”
“All right, I’m ready to get this show on the road,” Sole said, walking out from the back room of the merchandise area with a Cappy shirt and cowboy hat.
“No fair! I didn’t see the hat!” Deacon whined. “I would have taken it for myself.”
“We can share custody,” Sole promised with a grin in Deacon’s direction.
Deacon screwed up his face as he thought this over. “Fine, but I get weekends and holidays.”
“Deal.” Sole gave him one of her smiles that reminded him why he needed to keep his distance from her emotionally. One of the smiles that made him want all the things he couldn’t have.
He ignored it.
“You’re both wrong,” MacCready said, snatching the hat quickly from Sole’s head and placing it on his own. “This baby’s coming with me.”
Sole laughed at this, making Deacon feel that familiar pang of jealousy again. He prided himself on making Sole laugh. He didn’t love that someone else was currently taking over his favorite job.
“You two are going to Dry Rock Gulch, I guess it’s only fair that you get the cowboy hat, RJ,” Sole said, straightening the hat on MacCready’s head with a familiarity that made Deacon feel much less in control of himself than he normally was.
“We should get going before it gets too dark,” Deacon said with a forced smile. “We don’t want Danse rusting from the evening dew.”
“Negative, soldier, “ Danse said. “My power armour doesn’t rust.”
“At ease,” Deacon responded with a little salute at the former Brotherhood of Steel Paladin. “Try to enjoy yourself a little Danse. Despite what they told you in the Brotherhood, it won’t actually kill you.”
Danse gave him a look like he wasn’t amused by his joke before turning away and heading towards Dry Rock Gulch with MacCready.
“Geez,” Deacon said. “Never send that guy on a stealth mission. I swear we’ll be able to hear his power armor clomping around through the whole park.”
“Well then I guess it’s a good thing we already cleared out those raiders, huh?”
“No thanks to the tin can and grumpy pants over there,” Deacon said, now smiling at Sole.
“That one was a Deacon and Sole special,” Sole answered. “We didn’t need any outside assistance.”
Deacon nodded at this, watching Sole for a moment too long before realizing he was being weird. He realized that a lot around Sole. He had to constantly remind himself how he acted around people who didn’t make him feel the way Sole did. It was exhausting.
“I say we head over to that old junkyard. If I was a Synth in hiding, that’s where I’d go,” Sole said.
“You got it, boss,” Deacon answered, following her as she began walking.
The two walked in silence for a long time. Deacon guessed that Sole was thinking about the mission. Deacon, of course, was having another mini existential crisis regarding Sole. But he was also attempting to lie to himself about his feelings, which turned it into a whole thing. He could be a very convincing liar.
When the two rounded an old abandoned building, Deacon was shocked to see a crowd right in front of them.
“Whoa, hold up,” Deacon said, placing his arm straight out to stop Sole from walking.
It was too little too late though. The group of people in space suits standing had clearly seen them. How had Deacon missed them? They were literally a handful of weirdos in space suits.
Sole had distracted him with her very existence again. This was why he had to stop letting himself explore any potential feelings for her. They just got in the way of their missions. They made him sloppy. And sloppy could very well mean “dead” in this situation.
“Greetings,” one of the space-suit-clad people said, taking a step forward.
Deacon placed one hand behind his back where he kept a gun tucked in the waistband of his jeans. The other hand was wrapped tightly around Sole’s arm, keeping her in a safe position slightly behind him.
“Listen, we’re looking for information on--” Sole began, but the woman who appeared to be the leader of the odd group before them interrupted her.
“Are you here to help us get the spaceship up and running?” the woman asked. Her slightly crazed eyes were wide and bloodshot.
Sole furrowed her brow and looked at Deacon who was still trying to understand what he’d just heard.
“The great power above told us they would send someone soon. You, my weary traveler, must be the one to help us rebuild our spacecraft.”
“No,” Sole said slowly. “We’re just here too--” but again she was interrupted, this time by Deacon’s hand placed clumsily over her lips.
“Wait just… shush for a second,” he whispered with the widest grin she’d ever seen. “This is amazing.” He looked like a kid on Christmas. “Yes, my fair… uh… lady. We were sent from the head honcho in the stars to come offer our support for your interstellar travels.”
Deacon’s voice had adopted a grand tone and he released his concealed gun to instead gesture widely at the group in front of him.
“Excellent news, kind sir,” the woman said. “I am Dara. Come. We don’t have much time. Follow us.”
“Lead the way my most excellent and esteemed priestess,” Deacon said.
Sole looked over at the spy incredulously, mouthing a quick, “What are you doing?” to him.
She wasn’t sure if Deacon hadn’t understood her question or if he was just willfully ignoring her, because he simply clapped his hands together and mouthed back, “I know, right?”
The space-suit-clad group led them through the old junkyard to a red metal object that looked an awful lot like an old carnival ride. It was supposed to look like a UFO, but anyone could see it wasn’t any kind of actual aircraft.
“Ah yes, a fine specimen indeed,” Deacon said when they approached the ride. His voice was still serious as he spoke, though Sole knew him well enough to hear the pure glee behind it. “And what, pray tell, can we do to get this up and running for you again?”
“We have the fusion cells we need right here,” Dara said. “But we don’t know how to install them. If you can get our craft up and running, I know we’ll be on our way to our higher forms soon enough.”
“You’ll be on your way somewhere,” Sole scoffed under her breath, obviously not enjoying this nearly as much as Deacon.
“Well then step inside and get comfortable,” Deacon said with a grin. “I’ll get these fusion cores installed… uh… posthaste.”
Sole snorted at this, to which Deacon elbowed her. He didn’t want her giving him away just because she found him amusing.
Dara led the group of space cadets into the UFO ride and shut the door behind her, leaving Sole and Deacon alone.
“Okay, what in the actual world is going on?” Sole asked incredulously.
“I know! This is seriously amazing,” Deacon said, barely able to contain his joy. “These people actually think this is a spaceship!”
“I’m pretty sure this is a Gravitron,” Sole said. “They had them at the local carnival every year before the war. I used to love this ride.”
Sole’s eyes adopted that distant look they got whenever she talked about her time before the Vault-Tec incident. It made him feel sad for her, before he selfishly realized that if Vault-Tec hadn’t frozen her, he never would have met her.
“Will it be safe for me to fix it for them?” Deacon asked, Sole. He wanted to mess with the space cult, not kill them.
“They might get a bit motion sick,” Sole began. “But they should be fine.”
At her words, Deacon’s face adopted a mischievous grin that made Sole’s cheeks flush. “Excellent.”
Deacon installed the fusion cores Dara had given him without much effort before holding his hand out to Sole.
“Shall we?”
Sole let a grin spread across her full lips, taking Deacon’s hand in her own. “I can handle this ride, but I’m not sure you really understand what you’re in for.”
“You don’t think I could handle your ride?” Deacon asked, raising an eyebrow suggestively at her.
Sole took a step closer to Deacon, leaning close to him so that her lips were against his ear. “I know you couldn’t handle my ride, stealth boy.”
Deacon shivered involuntarily at her words and the feeling of her breath against his ear, but as quickly as the moment had happened, it passed. Sole pulled Deacon into the UFO ride with her, leaving him with a lingering mental image that he’d have to examine more thoroughly when he was alone later.
“This impeccably dressed harbinger of your more superior forms has successfully repaired your vessel,” Sole announced loudly, holding up Deacon’s hand. She looked over at him with a grin that set his heart on overdrive. “Not only was he able to repair your vessel, but he’s also promised to personally make sure his work is beyond reproach by coming along with you.”
“The star angel speaks the truth,” Deacon said, making Sole snort laugh again, though she was a bit better about covering this one up. “Sole, if you’ll do the honors.”
“Everybody up against the wall,” Sole said, watching as the space cult obeyed. “Deacon? Up against the wall?”
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted you to say that to me,” He said with a grin.
Sole just rolled her eyes and pointed at the wall, waiting for him to oblige. When everyone was in position, she took her place in the middle of the metal room and flipped the switch.
In an instant, the ride began to hum as the floor started to vibrate. At first, nothing moved and Deacon worried he hadn’t actually managed to fix the ride. But as the humming grew louder, the room began to spin.
Sole stayed in place in the center of the room and Deacon tried to keep his eyes on her, but as the rotations became quicker and quicker, he had to close his eyes. The force of the rotating ride crushed him against the padded wall of the room and he had to press his lips together to keep from getting sick. Just when he thought he couldn’t take it anymore, the ride began to slow down until it eventually stopped.
When Deacon opened his eyes, the world was still spinning. Sole was watching him as if waiting for him to speak to the cult, but he couldn’t form a single thought.
“The mission has been a success,” Sole finally said, seeing that Deacon was completely useless at the moment. “Your craft has been repaired and will be ready for your final voyage once your preparations are complete.”
“Bless you,” Dara said, looking at Sole. “Bless both of you.”
Without another word, Dara and the other cultists left the UFO, leaving Deacon clutching the wall and breathing heavily. In an instant, Sole was beside him. She supported him as Deacon tilted his head down.
“Told you you couldn’t handle this ride,” Sole said, her voice lined with amusement.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Deacon said. “I feel fantastic. Think I might go run a marathon with Hancock later.”
Sole placed her hand on Deacon’s cheek gently, lifting his eyes to hers. He still felt sick, but the more she touched him, the less he seemed to notice the motion sickness.
“Hey lightweight, what do you think Danse and MacCready will say when they find out an old carnival ride floored you?”
“That question is irrelevant because if you tell them I’ll just deny everything,” he responded. “And of the two of us, who’s the better liar?”
Deacon was grinning at Sole again, but she didn’t smile back. Instead she was watching him curiously, her eyes roaming his face. He was confused by her expression before he realized just how clear she looked to him. Clearer than normal.
Panicked, Deacon brought his hand up to his face to find his sunglasses missing. He’d always been good at putting up walls between himself and everyone else, but he had a hard time doing that with Sole. The sunglasses were the only way he could keep some semblance of distance from her. Without them, he worried she’d see right through him. See who he really was. See how he really felt about her.
Deacon looked around himself for the sunglasses before Sole held them up wordlessly.
“You win, Charmer,” Deacon said with a nervous laugh. “Time to give them back now.”
Deacon reached out for the glasses but Sole held them behind her back with a wicked grin.
“I don’t know that I want you to put them back on. I’m enjoying finally seeing you,” she said, her eyes seeming to bore into his soul.
“No one wants to see this hot mess, trust me,” Deacon said, reaching for the sunglasses but failing to get them. All he managed to do was somehow get even closer to Sole.
“How did I not realize your eyes are blue?” Sole asked, her voice soft. “They’re… stunning.” She instantly blushed at her own words but didn’t back down. And she still didn’t give Deacon his sunglasses back. “They’re not just blue… they’re like… ice blue.”
“Must be all the surgery,” Deacon joked, even though his voice sounded flat.
The truth was, Deacon changed his appearance all the time. But his eyes? His eyes were his own. Always had been. They were the one thing he didn’t change about himself. So to have Sole admiring them in such a personal way felt… amazing.
And dangerous.
Sole bit her lip as she watched him and Deacon swallowed hard. “Why don’t you want anyone to see you?” she asked.
He wanted to tell her that he was scared they wouldn't like what was left after all the lies were stripped away. But he didn’t say that. Instead he said, “Because I don’t want them to fall in love with my beautiful face. It just wouldn’t be fair to destroy some unsuspecting wastelander like that.”
At his words, Sole laughed softly, just like he hoped she would. If she was laughing then she wasn’t asking him questions that hit too close to home for him.
“I mean, now that you’ve seen the full effect of my icy blue gaze, you surely must understand that I wield an ungodly amount of power.”
“I really don’t know how you manage to fit yourself and your ego into your tiny sleeping quarters in the Railroad,” Sole said with a roll of her eyes.
“There’s enough room,” Deacon said, his voice now teasing. “More than enough room if you ever want to join the two of us.”
And that was it. The truth of the matter. Deacon could flirt with Sole all day long if it was all a big joke. But if he ever told her that he’d dreamed about what it would be like to wake up next to her, he’d lose the small amount of control he still pretended to have in this partnership. He couldn’t tell her that he longed for the casual and familiar touches of two people who trusted each other so completely that their physical contact was expected and normal.
“Do you really want me to take you up on that offer?” Sole asked, a challenge in her eyes.
Deacon still hadn’t learned that he couldn’t tease her about their flirtation for too long. She’d always make it real. And as Deacon knew, real was dangerous.
“Or should I just hold onto these sunglasses for you?”
Deacon leaned forward, sliding his arms around Sole’s waist. He hated himself for the fact that she actually closed her eyes as he got closer to her, obviously expecting him to make a move. But instead, he grabbed the sunglasses that she hid behind her back before pulling away from her with a forced grin.
“Got em,” he said.
Sole opened her eyes, and when Deacon saw just how much disappointment they held, his heart broke. When he heard Sole try to cover up her disappointment with a joke the way he always did, his heart broke even more.
“Well then I guess it’s just you and your ego in your bed tonight,” she said. “Let’s go find Danse and MacCready to see if they’ve had any luck locating the Synth.”
“Oh right, we’ve got an actual reason to be here,” Deacon said, quickly putting his sunglasses back on and feeling immensely more comfortable behind his wall of protection.
“We actually have two reasons to be here,” Sole said as she walked towards the door of the UFO ride. “We need to find the Synth, but we also need to go to the fun house in Kiddie Kingdom.”
“Did I miss that part of the briefing, Charmer?” Deacon asked, following Sole to the bright junkyard outside.
“Dez probably just forgot to tell us how important it is that we go to the funhouse,” Sole said “But you and I are professionals. We have to check everything thoroughly.”
Sole raised her eyebrows at Deacon as she walked away and Deacon was left wondering how Dez ever could have thought it was a good idea to send Sole and himself to an amusement park together.
They’d never get anything done.

It's been a while here, and this chapter isn't as long as I'd like it to be, but here we are.
There's a lot of talking and set up in here, but it is necessary.
Let me know your feelings.
In the next chapter we will see how are things with Lucy, Marge and our Monk.

Chapter 8
They had been in Edoras for about a week, and Jaime wasn’t impressed.
“These people are depressing.”
Brienne gave Jaime a look. “Their circumstances are complicated.” She reminded him.
“I know.” He assured her. “But still… The smell of horse in the air is quite pungent.”
Brienne rolled her eyes. “Aren’t you supposed to be doing something?” She said pointedly.
“Are you suggesting I’m not attending to my tasks?” Jaime asked dramatically.
“Jaime…”
Jaime quickly leaned down and stole a kiss. “I’m working, wench. Don’t you worry.”
Brienne was fighting her smile when Theon arrived with his arms full of apples. “There you are.” He looked directly at Jaime. “Our Queen wants to talk to you.”
“That girl took over the role very easily. One would say she was born to boss people around.”
Theon snorted. “Bad thing you weren’t born with more common sense.” He threw an apple to Jaime. “Go do something useful.”
Jaime grumbled but left, and Theon offered an apple to Brienne. “Where did you get these?” She wanted to know.
“A lady gave them to me. She said I needed to eat more.”
“She isn’t wrong. You still look like a strong breeze could carry you away.”
Theon shrugged. “I don’t feel hungry most of the time.”
Brienne knew that. She also knew he was still recovering and he had many dark dreams because of what had happened to him, so she didn’t push it. But she was happy to see him eating an apple.
It was quite tasty.
***
Jaime had grown up with Tywin Lannister. His father was a brilliant politician, and he knew what it took to have power -and to keep it.
Jaime had made choices that probably frustrated his father to the Seven Hells and back -to put it mildly. As the years went by, he kept watching his father and learning from him, even if not for the reasons Tywin would expect.
Therefore, he’d seen his fair share of intrigue, treason and political webs woven around palaces… Whatever was happening in Edoras, it wasn’t exactly that.
Yes, it had to do with power and maybe even the crown, but it was not only that. There was malice in the air, there was something that wasn’t just common human greed. Whatever was at work there, it wasn’t… Natural.
Jaime wasn’t the type to believe in evil energies or whatever… But after the Night King and the dragons, he was willing to be more open-minded. He was starting to believe that the problems around this place were way worse that the Night King.
He didn’t want to think how that could even be possible.
He found Sansa sitting by the fire in the hall, her eyes watching the King.
“Have you called for me, my liege?” Jaime bowed dramatically to Sansa.
She turned her eyes to him. “Yes.” Sansa -as usual -pushed on, ignoring his way of speaking. “I need you to find something for me.”
“Yes?”
“Lady Éowyn is always going around secretly.” Sansa hummed. “I want to know where she’s going. It might be better to ask Arya to find out.”
“I am quite capable of doing this myself.” Jaime was almost pouting.
“You’re tall and good-looking, Jaime. You attract too much attention; not a good thing when you’re trying to spy on someone.”
“Oh, flattery will get you anything, my lady.” He grinned, then looked around. “Where’s Queen Susan?”
“Talking to Gríma.” Sansa didn’t seem bothered by the notion.
He snorted. “Is she still trying to convince him to accept Narnia’s help?”
“Yes. She is quite direct about it; she’s offered to bring part of their army here.”
Jaime hummed. “It makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Why is he refusing this type of help?”
Sansa looked at him. “You know as well as I there’s only one reason for that.”
He nodded. “Obviously. But what does he tell her?”
“I do not know.” Sansa admitted. “She doesn’t share much with me.”
“You can be quite charming when you want to. Why don’t you try to get closer to her?”
Sansa sighed. “She doesn’t trust me very much. To be quite honest, I don’t know if I trust her. She is too much of an idealist.”
Jaime snickered. “Oh those wide-eyed believers…”
Sansa gave him a look. “Go. I’ll try talking to her later.”
Jaime bowed and left, and Sansa followed him with her eyes until he crossed the doors of the hall. Then she turned her eyes back to the King.
King Théoden was being tended by two women, who were feeding him. He looked particularly fragile just then, as if a sound above a whisper could break him.
Sansa had been thinking -for quite some time now -that he’d been poisoned. From what she’d heard, King Théodoen wasn’t that old or that fragile. People kept saying he was sick.
Sansa wondered at it. Was he truly sick, or was someone making him sick? It was true that maybe someone was just taking advantage of his bad health, but she didn’t think it was the case. She didn’t think it was just a coincidence, she believed someone had made the King sick.
Well, not someone. She was sure it was Gríma.
The only thing she didn’t understand was what he planned to do next. The King had heirs -more than one, for what she understood -and Gríma wasn’t exactly surrounded by allies. He didn’t strike her as someone like Baelish, who had a long plan, but had a plan.
There was something else at work here, and it bothered Sansa immensely that she couldn’t figure out what it was.
***
“A coin, my lord?”
Jaime looked at the old woman begging -more like a hag, really.
He pulled a coin from his pocket. “Lady Éowyn.” He said simply, and the woman just nodded.
It really unnerved him this thing that Arya did.
***
Susan groaned in frustration.
“Let me guess.” Helga growled. “Rohan does not want Narnia’s help.”
“According to Gríma, they don’t need it.” Susan informed the leopard.
Helga snorted.
“What now, My Lady?” Reep asked.
“He is definitely up to something.” Susan pressed her fingers to her temple. “I just can’t figure out what it is.”
“He must have someone behind him.” Reep pointed out. “He does not have power here. Most people don’t even like him.”
“But who is this person?” Susan pressed.
“The people from Westeros?” Helga suggested.
Susan became quiet.
“That is quite the accusation, Helga.” Reep said. “We cannot…”
“It is just a suggestion.” Helga cut him. “I am not saying they are the ones behind the scene, but it is suspicious that they are here now. I don’t think the Queen is telling the truth.”
“Neither do I.” Susan admitted. “But it wouldn’t make sense. The North has nothing to gain by interfering here in Rohan. Even as a political ally, Rohan cannot offer them anything.”
“Yes, Rohan can’t, but Sauron might be able to.”
Susan pressed her lips together and took a deep breath in. “I can’t believe in that without any evidence.”
Helga nodded.
“My Lady, we should contact Queen Lucy.” Reep urged her. “One of the rumors I heard was that Queen Sansa was here because Queen Daenerys had sent someone to Minas Tirith.”
“Enemy of my enemy?” Susan guessed.
“Yes, but she lied about that. One of mine caught her sending a letter to Lady Tyrell.”
Susan frowned. “They are communicating.”
“They are scheming.”

*Slides a 5 dollar bill* So what are some of your ideas for those Little Nightmares fics?
OH BOY ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO KNOW.
Weeeell, I have various idea that I'm writing down all at the same time. I'll list the various AUs here.
The Gang! AU
Ok no this isn't some sort of Criminal AU, I literally didn't know what to name it JSKDKS
Anyway, I'm actually writing this along with a friend of mine. It's based on a rp we had and it's quite long. We're writing one chapter each, I'm currently finishing chapter five. It kinda follows the story of Little Nightmares 2, but at the same time is canon divergent. Does that make sense?
We added two of our kid OCs to travel with Mono and Six!
Tumblr media
Their names are Zip and Emerald respectively, from left to right! Zip was made by my friend while Emerald is my kid. The art was done by me!
They're not the only OCs we made for this story; we also have five glitch kids, a couple of bullies and a patient from the Hospital.
Since it's long, we decided to split it into three parts. The first part takes place in the Pale City, the second part in the Maw and the third in a location made up by us that we're still crafting.
The good news: Mono doesn't get dropped and Runaway Kid is alive!
The bad news: everything else literally every single thing
It's gonna have a good ending, though. It's the least we can do after everything we put these kids through😭
Restaurant Maw! AU
Just the monsters of LN put in a modern setting! Not only that, it's Maw employees centric!
Basically in this AU the Maw is a very well-known restaurant and hotel, in a very similar fashion to the bathouse in Spirited Away. The Lady is obviously the boss, the Ferryman becomes the driver of the Maw's personal bus, Roger is the keeper, Bellhop is still a bellhop and also the maître d'hotel (aka the guy who makes sure the guests are comfortable etc.), the Chefs are still the Chefs - their names are Bruce and Bernard! And lastly, the Nomes are a bunch of waiters, bellhops and cooks.
Things are going very well for eveyone until one day the Chefs go outside for a smoking break and they find a baby in a box. They take her in and keep her hidden for a couple of days before the Lady invitably finds out.
She decides to let them keep her with the condition that they raise her on their own and take care of all of her needs wihout bothering her - which of course doesn't happen at all and eventually all the employees in the Maw grow attached to baby Sawako nicknamed Six.
This one has all my favorite tropes: slice of life, found family, and I'm hoping to achieve comedy (which is very complicated for me because I have a very dramatic style).
Plus the Chefs are italian because I'm italian and I claimed them, so if you want to see one of them teach the Lady how to swear in italian you came in the right place.
RCG and the Pretender Live! AU
And they lived! I started writing this immediately after I finished VLN but I was blinded by pain so it's a little messy. I have to edit it.
But basically the point is: they survived! But are stuck on land. The first to wake up is RCG, who I named Valeria, and she spots the Pretender a few feet from her and realizes that somehow they both managed to float ashore. Luckily for her, the Nest is now very far away, although they can still see it from the distance.
At first she wants to leave the Pretender there, but then decides to bring her along, tying her hands behind her back first. And so begins the girls voyage in the big wide world, trying to survive and becoming besties in the process.
Im debating wheter I want the Pretender to develop a little crush on RCG or not. Mhhhh. I'll let you guys know.
Mono Jumps in Time! AU
THIS ONE WAS INSPIRED BY THIS ADORABLE FANART BY @kelpermoosee !! Go check them out their art is adorable!!! This is also a Mono centric AU!
So basically! When Six is kidnapped by the Thin Man and Mono goes to save her, his high distress and strong, swirling emotions lead him to not only travel from a place to the next, but to also accidentally go back in time.
He jumps out from a TV but, surprise surprise, he's not in the Pale City anymore. He's landed right in front of the Pretender, who immediately takes a liking to him and wants him to be her new friend. Mono is extremely confused and at first and doesn't realize what happened, so obviously he tries to go back to the Pale City, but then he sees a girl in a yellow raincoat and immediately assumes she's Six.
He assumes that's where the Thin Man brought her, so he tries to run after her, but he's costantly hindered by either the Pretender or her staff. Will he ever get to "Six" and realize that he jumped in time? I'll decide, because this story is still under construction.
Six Forgets! AU
You know that quote from the comics?
"What's the last thing you remember? Tell me. If you don't tell us, you're sure to forget altogether."
Beautiful. And also what prompted me to come up with this AU.
Some things to clarify: the Eye is a collective conciousness that feeds off from negative emotions, the Thin Man lives but can't leave the Pale City, and The Lady is a grown up Six. The Maw kids from the comics are here! Plus a few OCs of mine.
And lastly: Six couldn't handle the guilt from dropping Mono and repressed all memories involving him altogheter, so she completely forgot about him.
Six gets on the Maw, but this time instead of waking up in a suitcase, she's brought to Roger adn the other children by the Ferryman. There, she befriends a few children but no one gets closer to her than the Runaway Kid. They both want to be free and plan an escape together.
In the meantime, Mono is still trapped in the Signal Tower, but he's convinced that Six let him slip by accident and that she'll come back for him. (The Eye is very frustated with him bc they be planning on feeding on his sadness and rage and then he has the audacity to be hopeful? The nerve!) That's until he gets a glimpse of his best friend and this unknown child through one of the TVs on the Maw, joking and playing with each other, and she confesses to this... no one, really, that he's the best friend she's ever had.
As you can imagine, Mono goes feral. The Eye couldn't be happier.
Chaos ensues! We got a lot of angst, violence, Monster!Mono and also some wholesome moments. Also out of context spoiler: RK and Six lead a revolution.
The Lost Ones
This one is just a bunch of quick drabbles that talk about the glitching remains. They all deserved better.
Hunter and Veronica
I was not gonna miss the occasion of writing simp hunter. Take it or leave it.
Based on my Hunter theory!
My beautiful terrible disaster of a man works on the Maw as a chef, but no one really knows why since he's not good at it. Fortunately, the vast majority of the Guests is just too hungry to care and the current Lady, a woman with a scarecrow mask, doesn't want to fire him. A few Guests have complains, though; for example, a Teacher who seemingly never blinks and a very massive Doctor, whom he befriends.
One day, a filming crew gets on the Maw and the Lady informs her staff that they will be staying for a while to film a commercial-documentary of the restaurant, which will bring more and more Guests. With the crew came a famous, very talented chef named Veronica who has her own extremely successful cooking show, who offers to help the current chef as a thank you for letting them stay without having to pay.
Initially the Hunter is not too happy about this. In his eyes he doesn't need the help, but they start getting closer and closer with time.
This will probably be wholesome but end in a very bad, tragic way. I'd say I'm sorry but I'm not lol
✓✓✓
And that's it for now. I have some other things planned with my monster OCs (btw y'all wanna see them?), but this is the whole thing. It may be updated in the future since I always seem to get more and more ideas!

Bright flashing lights…catchy retro theme songs…the loud cheers of victory from teenage boys and girls defeating their opponents – these were the ingredients that made up Y/N’s favourite place in the world. While Namjoon found comfort on the stage, she felt most at home under the glowing neon lights of Reload.
A few years ago, Y/N had found the arcade a by chance after she had “run away” from home. She had just had an argument with her mother about her appearance and after countless moments of nagging and insults she had finally snapped and left home without permission…it was her first act of rebellion.
Y/N’s mother was fixated on looks and how a “lady” should behave and present themselves. She always claimed that Y/N she be focusing on her physical imagine instead of having her face hidden behind a computer screen. It killed her mother that her youngest child spent all of her free time working in a place she deemed to be so juvenile. Y/N knew this for a fact and if she was being honest it only added to the appeal of working there. The job didn’t pay much nonetheless she loved it just as much as she did the Magic Shop.
A young boy runs through the arcade and finds Y/N sat on top of an air hockey table (a privilege that only she was allowed). Her attention is focused on her phone, trying to keep tabs on her best friends who are working a job without her. It was not very often that she could not attend an appointment however her elderly boss had caught a cold and there was no one else to cover the busy Friday night shift.
“Noona.” The soft whimper of the young boy catches her attention. “What’s wrong, buddy?” She jumps off the table and kneels so that she is eye level with the child “A-an older-r b-boy…” his words are choppy as his small body shakes with sobs “Stole my game.” “That wasn’t very nice of him. Can you point him out so Noona can have a chat with him.” The little boy continues to whimper but with some comforting words of reassurance and 5 free game tokens, she is able to convince him to point in the direction of the most popular first-person shooter game towards the back of the arcade.
“Thank buddy, that was very brave of you. I promise you in 10 minutes the game will be free for you to play.” She wipes the last of his tears and ruffles his hair for good measure “Come find me soon, ok?” The boy sniffling boy nods as Y/N quickly makes her way to the other side of the room.
At the game Y/N stands off to the side of the machine and pauses to analyse the teenage boy and his skill. The teen would get easily flustered each time a surge of villains would rush after his character and he would frequently let out a string of cuss words whenever he missed his mark, he was an amateur and it showed.
Suddenly his life bar at the top right of he screen started flashing, indicating that his game would soon end if he was not careful with his energy. This must have been enough motivation for him to focus better because his kill streak went from 3 to 9 in almost an instance.  A wicked plan formed in Y/N’s head as she he went in for the last shot of the level.
“Hey!” she called out to him causing him to flinch and miss his target. This caused a fatal error as the enemy on screen took the opportunity to shoot his character right in the face. The teen let out a sound of frustration as the screen read ‘Game Over’ in giant letters and request more tokens to continue. Y/N waited for him to insert the coins before making her presence known in front of him.
“You stupid bitch! You made me lose my game.” He grumbled and lift his gun to continue playing. Y/N reached over to the power point behind the game and switched it off.
“Get the fuck out of my arcade.” She spat and point towards the exit “Reload has a strict no bullying policy so don’t think for a second you’re getting a refund on those tokens.” The teen didn’t bother arguing, he has realised his mistake when he figured out who she was and walked away looking rather embarrassed he had been called out in front of everyone on a busy Friday night. He was sure his class mates would all be talking about it come Monday morning.
The screen of the machine flickered back to life as Y/N switched the power back on, she waited to make sure that the unexpected reboot did not affect the game. The download bar reached the end of the bar and loaded the high score screen. She read over the listed and frowned when she got to a name that had been annoying her lately – Nochu.
This Nochu person had climb two positions high on the leader board since the last time she had checked this game and the achievement displeased her. That name was popping up on the leader boards of many games recently and while she did not feel her abilities were being threatened, she was annoyed that she could not put a face to this person.
Tumblr media
Hours later back at the Kim residence, the two cousins enjoy the cooling weather on their porch as Jin attempts to tune his guitar by ear.
“The Basement wasn’t closed tonight.” Jungkook states when he scrolls through his Instagram feed and comes across a new post by the club “I never said it was.” Jin pays no attention to his cousin, instead he fiddles with the knobs at the head of guitar and plucks at a string once he believes he’s tightened the key enough. The sound rings out and the pitch is too high. “So why did we go to Reload instead?” Jin repeats the process with the chord again, the pitch is closer to where its supposed to be however the sound is still off. “None of the guys had a battle or a performance tonight.” He explained as he plucked at the string again and again, trying to pin point why it sounded wrong “And Y/N had to work, so we decided to hang with her instead.” “So we went for Y/N?” Jungkook tone was accusatory “No one forced you to tag along.” Jin fired back, he had stopped trying to tune the guitar to face him “She’s always supports the guys at the Basement, sometimes we repay the favour by making an appearance there to help drum up business.” Jungkook scoffed “You told me Reload was popular because she attracts people with her skills…if that’s the case why would she need you guys?” “She doesn’t need us at all.” Jin moved his guitar from his lap and lent it against his seat. He was frustrated with it and this conversation was adding to the stress.  “That’s the thing about having a good relationship with people…you do things to support them, even when they don’t ask.” “Oh yeah? If she’s so good why is she only ranked second on all the high scores.” Jin rolled his eyes at his cousin, he was being petty again and completely missed the point he was trying to make. “Mr S.K?” Jungkook nodded in confirmation.
Jungkook was becoming a regular at Reload and it was evident to him that Mr S.K was clearly the real champion of the joint. The guy had dominated every game of the arcade by holding highest score and while Y/N’s name always sat below his, her score was always miles away from meeting his. To Jungkook this was clearly another instance of Y/N receiving praise and adoration where it was not merited… it was Mr S.K who deserved to celebrated and yet it was Y/N who stole his popularity. If he had to come up with an explanation as to how this occurred, he would bet all his money it was because Y/N was considered to be “beautiful”.
“Mr S.K has held the top for as long as anyone can remember. There’s no mystery to who he is…He’s obviously the owner of the arcade.”  Jin windshield wiper boomed out and filled the stillness of the night as his cousin’s face fell.
Jungkook pondered on the last few weeks, there was so much background information he didn’t know and for some reason his brain chose to fill in the gaps by somehow hating on Y/N.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a car blaring loud music as it sped up and down the street.
“What the fuck is going?!” Jungkook exclaimed as he stood from his seat and made his way to the top of the porch stairs to get a better look at car. “Ah my Angel is home!” Jin jumped up and went to stand next to Jungkook. “Does she always carry on like this? She drives like a dipshit.” “Nah, that’s not even her driving. You see a while back she got caught at the illegal races, her parents made her sell her car as punishment... She must have gotten into a fight with her mother, this is how she always gets back her.”
The car finally stopped doing laps down the street and pulled up into Y/N’s drive away. The pair watched as Y/N jumped out of the passenger side of the car and wave to the driver as they pulled away from the house. She was still unaware that she was being watched by them
“Hey Brat!” Jin called out, capturing her attention “Didn’t your mother ever tell you not take rides from strangers?”
Jungkook’s breathe hitched at the thought of Y/N allowing herself to be in a car with a stranger, especially someone who drove like a lunatic. He didn’t catch a glimpse of the driver but surely, she wasn’t reckless enough to put herself in such a dangerous situation…was she?
“She did, that’s what make’s it all the better.” Y/N bantered on smugly, Jungkook couldn’t figure out if she was joking or not. “Well it’s past your bed time young lady, you march right on inside and get right to bed.”  Y/N let out a sound of fake indignation and clutch her hand to her check overdramatically. “To think I raced all the way here with a surprise and this is how you treat me? You really are such a punk!” “A surprise?!” Jin’s eyebrows shot up in excitement, the façade dropped immediately. Everyone knew she gave the best surprises. “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” he demanded and waved her over to them. Y/N laughed at his eagerness and rummaged through her bag as she closed the distance between them.
“Sorry I didn’t have time to wrap it.” She purposely handed him a grey game cartridge face down so there was some kind of element of surprise to the gift. His eyes widen comically when he turned it over and read the title of the game. “Y/N…is this…??” For the first time in Jungkook’s life he had seen his loud mouth cousin speechless. “Yah! Don’t make a big deal of it.” She tried to brush it off “Consider it an extremely late birthday gift.” “Not a big deal? This is the original Super Mario Bros 3! I played this game every day as a kid then this idiot blew it up somehow.” He nodded his head in Jungkook’s direction who rolled his eyes in response.
The incident happened years ago and he still hadn’t heard the end of it, he pretended like it didn’t bother him but deep down he felt so bad for accidentally destroying something his cousin held so dear to him.
“I’ve been trying to find it ever since! This must have cost you a fortune.” “Like I said…it’s no big deal. I was cleaning out storage at work and found it packed away, we never got round to fixing game console for it so the boss-man was nice enough to let me have it.”
That was a bold-faced lie.
Y/N had known about the sentimental significance this game had to Jin and went in search for it many months before his birthday. She only managed to get the game after she traded a set of mint condition baseball cards, she had acquired as collateral when a client fell through their end of a deal.
“Y/NIEEE this is why you’re my angel! Thank you so much.” He pulled her towards him and wrapped her up in a big bear hug. Jungkook felt out of place as he watched Y/N shriek and attempt to struggle out of his grip as he showered her with love…he could help but feel jealous of the fact that she could fix a mistake that he had made so long ago.

So as I previously mentioned I’m gonna write a post to explain Donna Beneviento’s character since I saw so many people confused or straight getting it wrong.
・Background story Let’s start with her story. Donna had a visible scar on her face since childhood that made her fear people’s reaction and probably mockery, so she always hid herself. One day her parents died and she was left alone with Angie, the doll her father made for her, until Miranda adopted her (she’s still a kid here) and injected her with the Cadou which aggravated her cognitive functions already a bit messed up by a not specified mental illness (if I have to take a guess I’m personally routing towards sociopathy).
・Her goal/relationship with Ethan I didn’t see anyone talk about it, so here I am. Contrary to what a lot of people think the initial goal of Donna is not to kill Ethan (like Lady D or Moreau) but to make him stay forever with her by making him her father. In fact through Angie she says “she’ll make a better daughter than Rose” and asks him to stay forever. Other lines I can quote to prove my point are “Everything would have been better if Rose wasn’t born” and “Do you do this to Rose too?”. With her is always Rose and nothing else. It’s clear she’s jealous of the baby cause she wants Ethan to be her father. To achieve her goal she creates the monstrous fetus allucination which is a grotesque and morbid representation of the real Rose (the fetus laughs when it sees you and calls you “dada”, childish way of saying daddy) in hope to convince Ethan that little children are horrible and scary and that she would be a better daughter. She also makes Mia look unreliable by  revealing the lies she kept from her husband. Donna is basically trying to make Ethan dislike his current family. And why she does that? Because she lost her parents as child so, since Miranda is her mother, she also wants a father. But since he obviously doesn’t give up on Rose, Donna gets angry and finally tries to kill him in retaliation in the final part of the boss fight (hide and seek with Angie part).
・Relationship with Angie Last but very important point in her character. I see so many people get this wrong in posts or fanarts. Angie hasn’t her own conscience just her own personality because she’s not a separate being from Donna. She moves and talks just because she has part of the Donna’s Cadou in her just like the other dolls. She says and does what Donna wants her to say and do. I know it’s hard to think of them as the same person since Donna is shy, calm and composed, while Angie is loud, sadistic and chaotic but just imagine it as a kid with a stuffed animal. The kid gives the toy a personality and makes it talk and do stuff. They also pretends to have a full conversation with it and that the animal talks back to them. That’s exactly what Donna does with Angie. The only difference is that while a kid pretends the toy is alive, Angie is really alive thanks to the Cadou. Basically everything Angie says is, most of the time, what Donna wants to say but is too shy or afraid to say herself. She hides behind her doll and lets her do the talk and interact with people, just like she did with the gardener.  That being said I really enjoy see all the headcanons and little comics where Angie gets Donna in trouble with her chaotic personality and she scolds the doll in a really flustered way. They’re funny and super cute! So even if they aren’t technically correct keep posting them guys, I love them!

Here Comes the Boom
Tumblr media
Pairing: Javier Peña x Fem!Reader
Warning: Language
Notes: This is a sequel to my fic “This Feeling Has a Name”. That fic was supposed to be a one shot, but I received some very positive feedback inquiring about more, so I figured ‘what the heck!’ I hope you enjoy this installment as much as the first. Thank you for all your likes, love, and support. Also, stay tuned because I have a major Mandalorian fic in the works.
Since the night you ended your relationship (such as it was) you’d avoided Javier Peña like the plague. Not an easy thing to do considering you worked in the same building. Anytime the two of you made eye contact, you’d quickly duck out of the room or strike up a conversation with some poor, unsuspecting co-worker before Javi could corner you.
You’d gone as far as to request a transfer, but the powers that be were dragging their feet through the sea of paperwork. For now you’d just have to grin and bare it to the best of your ability.
You reassured yourself over and over again that putting some much needed distance between you and Peña was the wisest move; you repeated it like a mantra in your head. You practically meditated on the thought, like the fucking Buddha.
Your brain was firmly planted in reality, but your heart, God damn it, still needed a little more convincing. It was still nestled comfortably in Javier’s hands.
When you were certain he wasn’t looking, your eyes would lock onto him across the room. They would gaze. They would linger. And you would yearn. You’d walk past his empty desk and your fingers would unconsciously reach out to graze the smooth leather of his jacket draped over the back of his chair. The same jacket he’d once wrapped around your shoulders.
It was undeniable: you’d been bitten by the proverbial love bug and were sick as hell, and there was no cure. You worked in the same room as some of the most brilliant, tactful minds on the planet, so you knew there was no hiding your condition for long. And, of course, Steve Murphy was the first to figure it out.
“What the hell did Javi do now?” he asked you point blank, cornering you at the water cooler.
“What do you mean?” you asked, trying to feign ignorance and failing miserably.
“Well, he’s been more of a bastard than usual and I figured it had something to do with you. And if something did happen between you two, because it’s always the safe bet, I could only imagine that Javi fucked up royally. So, I ask again: what did he do?”
You gulped down your water, wishing it was something stronger, and tossed the cup.
“Why do you assume his bullshit has anything to do with me?”
A ghost of a smile tugged at the corner of Murphy’s mouth.
“Because nothing gets him more worked up than you.”
You knew it was meant as a compliment, but you tried desperately not to see it that way.
“We’re hunting Pablo fucking Escobar, darlin’. One of the most dangerous criminal, dare I say masterminds, in all of Colombia, potentially the world. But not even this motherfucker has been able to get under Javi’s skin the way you have. And don’t think I haven’t noticed.”
Of course Steve noticed. Because you were so damn obvious. You were ashamed and embarrassed of your unprofessionalism, but you couldn’t blame that on Javier Peña. Your feelings and the resulting behaviors of said feelings were your own.
“The relationship had run its course, Steve, so I ended it. That’s it. We’re adults, adults break up. If Javi is insisting on taking it like a child, that’s on him.”
You return to your desk and attempt to lose yourself in paperwork. You know Steve wants to say more; the silence that follows is pregnant with his unvoiced questions, thoughts and opinions. Fortunately for you he’s wise enough to keep them all to himself.
“Hang in there,” he mumbles, patting your shoulder in a brief gesture of support before striding off.
***
You finish drying your hands and you’re about to exit the ladies room when suddenly the door flies open and in storms Javier.
“Shit!” you exclaim, both startled and a bit disgusted at the lengths he would go to just to confront you.
“We need to talk,” he grumbles, standing between you and the door.
“We have nothing to talk about, Javier, and certainly not here of all places!”
Just then one of the receptionists attempts to enter the restroom, doing a double take when she notices Javier.
“Go find another bathroom,” he barks at the wide eyed young woman.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing, Peña?” she snaps.
“OUT!” he roars. She doesn’t need to be told twice.
For good measure he locks the door behind her, and the two of you are officially alone. Even in the enclosed space, you try to put as much distance between the two of you as physically possible.
Javier let’s out a frustrated breath as he runs a hand over his face and through his hair.
“I know it’s the last thing you want to do, but I need you to listen to me. Just listen to me. Okay?”
Your heart is thudding in your ears but you attempt to play it cool by crossing your arms and leaning back against the sink.
“I’m listening.”
Javi took a deep breath then began again.
“You know I’m not the best at showing emotion-“
You cut him off with a laugh.
“You just screamed a poor woman out of this bathroom and you say you’re no good at showing emotion?”
You could see the anger boiling up inside him once again, but he closed his eyes, took a breath, tamped it down, and continued.
“I don’t typically get close to people, alright? I don’t usually do relationships, friendly or otherwise. What you and I have...”
You shot him a pointed look at the same instant he caught his mistake.
“Had ,” he corrected. “That’s usually the extent of my emotional attachment.”
You snickered a bit. “I sure as hell hope Steve is enjoying it while it lasts, then.”
“God dammit, I’m trying to be serious here!”
“Now you want to get serious?”
That may have been a poor choice of words. Actually, goading him on while he was obviously upset may have been one big bad idea on your part, because in a flash Javier was crushing his body to yours and shackling your wrists in his hands. He was so close that you could feel the heat from his skin burning your own. Or maybe that was your own.
He took a second to recollect himself, but he didn’t release his grip on you. In that moment you didn’t mind.
“Just who the hell said I didn’t love you, huh?”
His entire body was like an angry storm: his pounding heart was thunder, and his words struck you like lightening. But his eyes, just like that of any other tempest, were calm. And as you gazed into them your fear was washed away, as if by rain.
“You did,” you whispered. “You told me, Javi, that love wasn’t your thing. You warned me when we first started seeing each other, and you just said it again now. Don’t you even hear yourself when you talk?”
He didn’t say anything, only swallowed painfully over the lump in his throat.
“I get it, Javier, okay? This is not my first time being with someone like you. I know there are people out there who just can’t stand the idea of love and relationships, and there’s nothing wrong with that. To each their own right?”
He seemed frozen so you took the opportunity to release yourself from his grasp and lower his arms to his sides.
“That doesn’t make you a bad guy, Javier. You don’t have to apologize for being who you are. You don’t ever have to apologize for that.”
You looked away as angry, self conscious tears filled your eyes.
“I’m the one who should be sorry, Javier. I’m sorry that I wasn’t more careful. I’m sorry I didn’t take your warning to heart.”
Before you even realized what you were doing, you brought your hand gently to his face. This could, would, be the last time you ever touched him, and because he probably understood that all too well he reached up and placed his hand atop yours, pressing it harder against his cheek.
“I’m sorry I fell in love with you, Javi.”
You saw his eyes go painfully wide as you slipped from his hold and made your way around him, not sparing a single look back as you left the restroom. You didn’t see him punch the mirror, but you heard the glass shatter from the other side of the door.
Wiping angrily at your eyes, you hastily retrieved your jacket and purse from your desk and tapped Steve on the shoulder on your way out.
“Tell the boss I’m leaving early,” you said, and if Steve was going to protest you didn’t give him the chance. You were as good as gone.
***
The next day you called in sick. For one day, just one lousy fucking day, you wanted to be alone to drown your thoughts under a stack of paperwork a mile high. You told the boss not to call and bother you unless your transfer request had gone through.
But as luck would have it, you picked the wrong fucking day to stay home.
One second you were skimming page after page of Escobar’s dossier, the next the pages were fluttering in the air like confidential snowflakes, launched skyward by the force of the explosion that rocked your apartment and the shops below.

Chapter 2: Secrets
There comes a day where all fathers pass their business down to their children. This was no ordinary business, this was the mafia. You were the sole heir to the throne and you didn’t want it. Your father’s right hands Derek and Aaron are tasked with convincing you otherwise, the last thing you expected to do was fall in love.

Masterlist /// Chapter 1  /// Chapter 3
----
Fog filled the cemetery as Luke drove through the giant iron gates. He was outside when you had come down and offered to drive you.
You glanced over at the man who had a permanent scowl on his face. “How’s Penelope?” you ask him, a little curl at the edge of his lips appeared. “Oh dude, you totally like her!” you squealed and hit his arm playfully.
“Shut up y/n, we’re just friends. She’s fine” he answered you, pulling over by the tree. “Just fine?” you questioned and he nodded.
“Didn’t sound like she was ‘just fine’ last night” wiggling your eyebrows at him, he gave you a stern look. You raised your hands playfully, “your secret is safe with me grumpy” you smiled and turned towards the window.
Luke placed his hand on your shoulder, you glanced over at him.
“Do you want me to come with you?” he said, you reached up and gave his hand a squeeze before shaking your head.
“I’m alright. I won't be long.”
“Take your time”
Stepping out of the car after grabbing the bunches of flowers you had, you walked down the pathway to your mother’s grave. You replaced the old flowers that sit beside her tombstone, which you could only assume had been put there by your father, and brushed off dust from the top. Stepping away, you walked down a bit further and sat on the ground in front of a tombstone.
James Rossi
1989 - 2015
Beloved son, brother and friend.
Setting the bunch of flowers beside the tombstone, you let out a sigh. “So I slapped Derek last night. I know it was wrong but he was talking about you like it wasn't his fault.” your hand ran across his name on the stone. “It’s not my fault though, I tried to control myself but he was being a bitch and don’t even get me started on Emily.” you rolled your eyes, “I threw a bottle at her head but she deserved it so I'm not going to apologize for that.” A wind blew through the cemetery, you brushed away the few leaves that fell by the flowers. “Oh! Luke and Penny are totally hooking up and yes, he’s still as grumpy as he was the last time you..” sighing, cutting your sentence short. “Anyways, she seems to make him happy and I'm happy for him” you glanced over your shoulder, you could see Luke standing outside the car on the phone and smoking.
“I’ll come around more often J, I'll try and get dad to come too. I love you always” you pressed a kiss to your fingers and then pressed it to the stone before getting up. You brushed off the grass and dirt from your legs and headed back to the car.
“She's coming back, I’ll talk to you later and I love you more” you could hear Luke say to whoever was on the other end of the call. Smiling at him, “tell pens I said hi, lover boy” Luke shot you a glare before you hopped in the car.
“Stop eavesdropping” he turned the car around, you looked out the window and replied to him, “not my fault you decided to declare your love to miss Garica as I came back” Luke chuckled at your statement.
“You’re annoying”
“Oh you love me Al”
He shook his head and drove back to the villa. Upon arriving home, he excused himself back to the armoury, or so he said. Luke didn’t realize that you too, had seen Penelope waiting down by the garden for him. Heading inside, your father’s laugh was the first thing you heard.
He hadn't laughed like that since your mother passed.
As you walked down the foyer, a woman's voice echoed through the empty hallway. “Dave stop it!” she laughed, you pushed the door to the dining hall open. Dave and a blonde woman sat side by side having lunch. “Oh bella, I didn’t realize you’d be back already” your father stood up from his chair as you walked in. “Yeah, I didn't want to stay too long today, I have things to do. Sorry for interrupting, I didn't realize we had company”
“I, have company, not you” Dave corrected you, “but since you’re here, y/n, this is Krystall. Krystall, this is my daughter y/n” your father introduced the woman to you. She stuck her hand out and you shook it. “Nice to meet you” she smiled and you gave her a nod.
“Please continue, I'm just here for a drink and then I'm off” you spoke as you walked towards the bar, filling a glass with some whiskey. You pressed a kiss to your father's cheek and walked out.
“What the actual fuck was that?” you mumbled, walking down the staircase to the basement.
The hallway lights had been turned off, you fumbled around and felt the wall until finding the switch. There were boxes and crates stacked on each other and lined up against the wall, a light peaked through a crack in the door at the end of the hall. Pushing it open, Spencer sat at a table and Tara’s back was turned to you. “Hello my darlings” you shouted, making Spencer jump.
“Fucking hell, I told you stop doing that!” he shouted at you, you walked over and ruffled his hair.
“Calm down pretty boy, no need to stress yourself out” you walked over to Tara, you slung your arm around her shoulder, “hey pretty lady”
“Hello to you too, what brings you down here to see us?” she asked you, her eyes on the screen in front of her.
“Other than the fact that my father is entertaining a woman upstairs and I didn’t want to hear nor see that ?” you cringed, “I just missed your beautiful faces” you laughed.
“So you finally met Krystall ?” Spencer piped up from his table, dividing the cash in front of him, you looked over at your cousin.
“Finally met her ? How long have you known about her ?”
“A few weeks ? according to Penelope, she’s been around for a few months because uncle Dave asked her to give Krystall a code for the gate”
“What?! And you didn't think to tell me?!” you screamed at him. Spencer shouted back at you, “I thought you knew!”
“Obviously not!” you yelled again, “Spencer some random woman has the gate code to our home and you didn’t think to mention that to me?! She could be here to kill us for all you know!”
Spencer rolled his eyes at you, “No need to get your panties in a twist cousin, I'm sure Krystall isn’t here to kill us. She’s a harmless woman, and would it be so bad for your father to start seeing someone ? Maybe he’d finally get off you back about taking over.”
“Spencer, are you crazy ? This is the worst possible thing, she’s gonna drag him off to some island and leave me here to be in charge. I despise that idea, you know that.” rolling your eyes, your cousin sighed,
“Just talk to him if you don't like it, you idiot, but shut up now. Not all of us can spend our day shopping with daddy’s money, we have a job to do” he said, turning his attention back to the money, his statement made Tara laugh.
“Okay fuck you too Spencer, I'll see you two for dinner ? We’re still good for 10 right ?”
“Sounds good” Tara and Spencer said simultaneously, your brows furrowed, “that was weird but okay. Laters babes” you headed out and ventured back up the stairs and out the door. Emily and JJ stood in the clearing on the grass with maybe 10 or 12 young guys, you could only assume they were the newest recruits to your father’s so called army. Entering at the other side of the building, Matt was in the armoury smoking a blunt. “Is this what I'm paying you for Simmons ?” you walked in, Matt sat up from his seat, he was zoned out but he heard the voice and assumed it was your father, you knew that for sure.
“No boss, I'm sor- are you kidding?” he saw you standing there with a rather amused look on your face, you bit your lip as you held back a laugh. “Does my father scare you Matt ?” you asked, taking the blunt from him and took a pull.
“No?” he said, truthfully that sounded more like a question rather than an answer.
“And the truth ?” you sat down, propping your feet up on the table.
“Yes” he leaned on the table across from you, you laughed while leaning forward to pass the blunt back to him. “Scaredy cat” you smiled at him, Matt rolled his eyes “you have nothing to worry about, you’re his daughter”
“Doesn’t mean I’m untouchable”
“Yeah, it does, actually”
“Mhm, if I'm untouchable, what happened the other night with you ?” you raised your brows, Matt blushed. “Not what I meant” he said, you stood up and walked towards him.
“Did I make you blush ?” you slung your arms over his shoulders, your hands coming up to his hair at the nape of his neck, “no of course you don’t, I think it's the other way around” Matt’s hands were on your waist, he lifted you up onto the table.
“Why are you even in here? Where’s Luke ?” you twirled his hair with your fingers, Matt’s forehead rested against yours, “he’s making out with Penelope in the garden” Matt stated casually.
Pulling away slightly, you looked at him, “what ?”
“Oh fuck, you didn't know” Matt’s eyes went wide.
Of course you knew, but Matt didn't know that you knew about Luke and Penelope.
“I know about them, you can relax” you laughed, “Luke would've killed you if I didn't already know though” your hands cupped Matt’s face. Matt leaned forward, your lips barely touching his. His hands on your lower back, pulling you towards him and closed the gap between the two of you. Your hands fumbled with the buttons on his shirt as his lips moved from your lips to your cheek and then to your neck.
“Luke I need a g- oh” Derek's voice rang through the room. Matt pulled away from you, he looked like a deer in headlights.
You on the other hand, were as Matt said, untouchable.
Matt buttoned his shirt back up, “um Luke’s out but I can get you what you need” he told Derek who was still standing at the door watching the scene in front of him unfold. Hopping off the counter, you wiped the lipstick off Matt's lips with your thumb and pressed a kiss to his cheek, “I'll see you around love”
--
Derek stood off to the side as Matt gathered the things he needed. “Does Dave know what you're doing with his daughter ?”
“I don't see how that concerns him” Matt’s back was turned to him, his response made Derek roll his eyes.
“If you want to keep your fucking job, you’ll watch yourself”
“And what does that mean ?” Matt turned, handing him the gun. Derek rolled his eyes, playing with the trigger of the gun. “It means stay away from her or I'll make sure you do.” spinning on his feet, he walked towards the door.
“What’s your issue with me dude ? y/n doesn’t even like you so why are you acting like this ?”
Derek stopped in his tracks. his back still facing Matt, “and what do you know about how y/n feels towards me?”
Matt scoffed, “after what happened to her brother, you think she’ll let you tell her what to do with her life?”
The mention of James triggered something in Derek. James was one of his friends, his best friend in a way. What happened to James wasn’t his fault and he knew that. Derek had spent the last few years trying to get over that very thing.
“What did you just say to me ?” Derek turned to face him,
“Her brother, his death was your fault wasn’t it ?” Matt repeated himself.
Derek shoved him back slightly, “watch yourself” he mumbled, he really wasn't in the mood to fight with Matt.
“Or what ?” Matt challenged him and one thing you should never do, is challenge Derek. He has a habit of making his point no matter what. The muzzle of the gun pressed to the side of Matt’s head, Derek’s hand gripping to the collar of his shirt.
“Let’s try that again” Derek gave him a smug smile.
“Woah! Der, stop!” Aaron ran in, pulling Derek away from Matt. The gun was still pointed in Matt’s direction, Aaron looked over at Matt and nodded towards the door, Matt running out the door without looking back.
“Okay, what the fuck was that about D?”
Aaron took the gun from him and set it aside. Derek shook his head but Aaron knew him better than that, something was bothering him. “I know you man, you wouldn't pull a gun on him for no reason, what’s up ?”
“It’s stupid”
“C’mon”
“It’s James” Derek muttered, his eyes focused on anything, anything that would keep him from looking at Aaron.
“How- What ? How is that possible ? He shouldn't even- he couldn’t know about that” Aaron was confused, more than usual to tell you the truth. There was no way Matt could know about James, unless..
Aaron at Derek who was now looking at him. “Y/n..” he whispered, Derek nodded.
“Did he say anything else ?”
“Just that she didn’t like me”
“Don’t take it to heart, she doesn't like anyone” Aaron gave his shoulder a pat before walking out. Derek stood in the middle of the armoury by himself. There were so many things he needed to fix, to mend, to make right so he could move on. Luke brows furrowed as he walked in, “can I help you ?” his voice startled Derek, “no, I'm good. Just came for this” picking up the gun and tucking it into the waistband on his pants.
--
The drive over was quiet, Derek stopped at the front by the gates and walked the rest of the way. It wasn’t cold but it wasn't warm either and the trees blocked the sun out. This place always gave him the creeps and you’d think a big, strong guy wouldn't get scared that easily but he couldn’t help it.
For the second time today, James had gotten a visitor.
Derek stood in front of the tombstone. He wasn’t quite sure why he was there, maybe it was the mention of James’s death being his fault or just because his guilty conscience was getting to him.
“I don’t know why I'm here, honestly. I haven’t been back here since your funeral man, I just- I couldn't.” Derek sighed.
“It’s not my fault right ? you told me to go, I begged you to let me stay with you and you didn't let me.” he ran his hand over his face, “Your sister blames me. She thinks it’s my fault and she told her stupid little boy toy that.”
The flowers caught his eye, red roses.
“Your sister came to see you today didn't she? wait,” Derek chuckled “I'm asking you like you can answer me” he shook his head.
“Do you know I’ve been getting her roses for her birthday for the past 5 years ? Red roses just like you used to. She doesn't know it’s from me though, she thinks they’re from your father” Derek sighed.
“I don’t know why, I just- you know what ? I do know. I like her J, I do, like a lot.” he laughed, “holy fuck, I've never said that. I didn’t- wow” Derek paced back and forth for a few moments, he debated if he should tell her or not. She already hates him, what difference does it make ?
--
The heels clicked on the marble tiles as you walked down the staircase. You were just about to head out for dinner with Spencer and Tara when Matt walked past you.
“Hey! I'm leaving, why are you going upstairs ?” you stopped, turning back and looking up at him. His back was to you, you could hear him sigh.
“Matt, what’s wrong?” you walk up a few steps towards him, you reach for his hand but he pulls away.
“y/n.. we can’t do this anymore”
“What ? What are you talking about?”
“This,” he refers to you and him, “we can’t keep doing this. You’re going to lead this shit one day and you can’t spend all your time with me, there has to be something more for you.”
“Where’s this coming from ? What’s going on?”
Matt didn’t say anything else, instead he met you in the middle of the staircase. His hands cupped your face, “I'm sorry” he whispered before giving you one last kiss. Your forehead rested against his, your hand on his. He stepped back, your hand still on his, he pulled away until your fingers were barely touching, he finally stepped away, leaving you there by yourself.
There were so many questions.
Why ? What had happened ? Did your father say something to him ? What was the reason ? Did Derek tell him something ?
“Bitch, let’s go. We’re running late, Luke and Penelope are already on their way there” Spencer shouted for you from the bottom of the staircase. Your eyes fixed on the top of the stairs, you sighed and shook the feeling, turning towards Spencer with a smile on your face.
“Where’s Matt ? I thought he was coming with us ?” Tara asked as she walked over to the two of you. You shook your head, “he’s not feeling well” you lied, they both knew something was going on between the two of you but you weren't in the mood for it tonight.
You just wanted one last night out with your family as a 21 year old.

Visitation [Jax Teller x Reader]
Tumblr media
(A/N): this was literally the only gif i could find of jax in between seasons 3 and 4 while he was in stockton. i completely forgot gemma had the ankle bracelet during that time, but i don’t remember for how long. i already wrote more than half of this when i realized, so for the sake of this, gemma only had it for a smaller amount of time
SUMMARY: reader visits jax while he does his stint in stockton with half of samcro
TW: none
Tumblr media
“TELLER!”
Hearing his name being called from across the courtyard made him look up from his position on the bench with the others. He saw a guard heading his way, making him roll his eyes in annoyance.
“Boss?” He mocked as the guard got closer, a cool and cocky smirk spreading across his face.
“Visitor. C’mon.” The guard cocked his head to the side, indicting for the inmate to follow him.
(Y/N).
Jax let a small smile replace the smirk as his thoughts landed on you. He’d been counting the days for your next visit. He saw Gemma last week, hoping you would come with her, but was disappointed when he didn’t see you sitting at the table with her. His mother informed him about some complications with sheduling at work, and you not having anyone to cover your shift. He understood and didn’t blame you for not seeing him that week, but it didn’t stop him from being a grumpy little shit, and it sure as hell didn’t stop the guys from giving him shit about it and teasing him.
Fulfilled with a new sense of excitement, he let his feet fall to the floor and hopped up off the metal table.
“Too bad it’s not a conjugal,” Tig teased the newly shaved blonde, making the other guys fall into a fit of laughter.
Jax only flipped him off, keeping the shit-eating grin on his face. Nothing could ruin his mood now.
“Hey, leave a poor brother alone.” Bobby hushed the others, before he couldn’t help himself any longer, and jabbed at his brother, “He can only blame himself for not marrying her sooner.”
“And when she shows up in that one pair of skinny jeans that hug her ass just right, with a low-cut shirt from Gemma—” Juice didn’t feel the need to continue as the guys whooped and hollered, as Jax only sent him a vibrant death glare that spoke louder than any of the hollers from their brothers.
“Talk like that about my Old Lady again and I’ll cut out your tongue.”
“Today Teller!” The guard’s voice boomed from the gate in warning.
Clay patted Juice’s shoulder as the latter threw his hands up in surrender. Jax sent him one last dark look before strutting away with his signature swagger in toe.
Happy leaned up on his elbows, “If he doesn’t cut out your tongue, I will.”
Tumblr media
You sat at the metal table in the visitation room, playing with the sticker on your chest. Peeling at the corner that is no longer sticking to the low-cut shirt you borrowed from Gemma, you waited for the man who was supposed to be escorted in by now. You tried not to be impatient, but when it’s been almost two weeks since you last saw or heard from your boyfriend, you were gonna be fidgety.
You heard the screech-like beep alerting those around that the gate for prisoners was opening. Your head shot up, eyes moving to the metal door as the man of the hour walked through. His eyes found yours as soon as the door opened. He was slipping back into his good mood at the sight of you. His award-winning smile made you wanna cry.
He was decked out in his usual white t-shirt, (this time without the prisoner blue scrubs top), the dark pants inmates were provided, and a matching beanie on the top of his head. You took in his appearance, as you did every time you saw him, and despite the circumstances and the scare you had with a shanking a few months back, prison was a good look on him.
Jax had always been a well-built guy, but during his time in Stockton his more lanky build had been replaced with pounds of pure muscle. As much as you missed him, you missed other parts of him as well. And the fact you couldn’t have much physical contact, except for a short hug before a guard would yell for separation, his new appearance was only making your craving for him harder.
He made his way to you with his usual swagger, and you stood in anticipation. He brought you into his arms immediatly, enveloping you in his embrace, and sharing a short kiss that was permitted. Oh, how you missed this. The hug only lasted for a few moments before you both pulled away and took your seats at the metal table, your hands resting on top of it as instructed.
“Hey, baby.” You greeted him, the smiles never leaving either of your faces. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too, darlin’.” He smirked as you looked down bashful at the little pet name. “Where you been?”
You looked at him apologetically. “I’m sorry I didn’t come by with Gemma.”
“It’s okay. She told me that work had you held up.” He brushed it off. “But I’m glad you’re here now.”
“Me too.” You let your chin rest in the palm of your hand, “So what’s been going on here? Still on your best behavior?” You narrowed your eyes playfully.
He gave you an innocent look. “Me? Always, babe.”
“Mmm,” you nodded your head slowly, not believing the man in front of you for a second. “Of course.”
“How ‘bout you? How’s everythin’ goin’ on at home? How’s Abel — still upset?”
With Abel’s birthday coming up so soon, you had tried to explain to the little boy that his daddy couldn’t make it to his party this year with Grandpa Clay or half of his uncles. Abel had been asking, as he counted down the days of his birthday, and you had pushed off answering as much as you could before you eventually tried to help him wrap his mind around the fact that he would not see Jax on his birthday. Visiting had not been an option because of setting up for his party and then the party and after party with the adults. You convinced Abel that you would see Jax the day before or day after his party, but he still wasn’t having it.
“He’s...still trying to digest that you can’t see him on his actual birthday, but I think he‘ll come around when he sees the birthday cake I picked out with Gemma.” With Abel’s latest phase of being like his daddy, which you knew was to bound to happen to make up for Jax not being there, Abel had been obsessed with motorcycles, leather, sunglasses, white t-shirts, and flattering the ladies with little cute compliments Gemma and you taught him after hearing him say something he obviously learned from the guys. He was so young, yet he was already trying to become a member of SAMCRO. He even begged you at the store to buy a little chain to hang on his pants.
“That’s good,” he nodded.
“Home?” You repeated, trying to rack your brain for anything worth telling him. “Ah, I’ve been renovating Abel’s room ever so slowly. His new bed should be arriving a day or two before his birthday. You know what he wanted to put in his room?”
“What?”
“Your son wanted to put up a harley poster with the ‘pretty girl on it, just like daddy!’”
Jax through his head back in laughter. That’s most certainly his boy. He missed him so much. “That’s my boy.”
You filled him in about Gemma’s latest argument with customer that almost caused attorneys to be brought in, but Opie and you stepped in before it got too far. You also commented on Opie’s skills as acting president on the other side of the fence, and how’s he’s really stepped up in the club and around TM (and helping you and Gemma out, especially when you two didn’t ask). Opie was someone the club envisioned as the next VP to his future President Jax. It was no surprise that Opie was capable, or that he’d do such a good job. The blonde was filled with pride and admiration of his best friend.
He informed you of a rumor going around of one of the guards banging an inmate in his cellblock, and that SAMCRO used the dirt as an advantage to get cigarettes. You had to roll your eyes at the one. Of course they did.
He also brought up that if Juice ever started flirting with you when you’d visit the other members locked up, to let yo know, regardless if his sentence gets pushed. Again, you rolled your eyes. The alpha male shit he loved pulling, was hot, but it was unnecessary, especially over Juice of all people. You reminded him that Juive was harmless and formed no threat. If anything he should be more about Bobby, majorly after what went down with Luanne (obviously Bobby was more of father figure than anything, but you just wanted to prove your point to your boyfriend).
Let’s just say he didn’t find your point amusing.
You both used up the visiting hours till a guard called for “time’s up.” It weighed on you everytime you had to leave. You knew you’d see him again soon, but the date felt so far away each time. He and the guys only had five more months left of there sentence, it may seem like a lot but they already completed the first nine.
You parted ways after one last short but savored hug and kiss before he was escorted out of the visitation room. He sent one last look over his shoulder which you knew translated to ‘I love you.’ You mouthed the words back before he disappeared behind the manually controlled door.
Five more months, you kept telling yourself. Five more months.

The male companions and f!sole fake dating for a mission?
this one is sooo cute! i love it. thank you for requesting! i don’t have a specific scenario and i’m in class so for this request, i will keep it general. let’s say they’re crushing on the ss hard. ❤️
-
Danse:
horrible. he’s horrible at this kind of stuff. in fact, he’s probably the one who does this mission the worst out of all the companions. he stumbles over his words, blushes intensely, and loses himself in the process. everytime sole sends him a cute, flirty look to go with the flow of the situation, hes already midway through a heart attack. whenever sole slips her small hand in his own, he becomes dizzy and you could literally feel the steam radiating off of his body. as much as he wanted to help sole complete the mission, his mind wasnt capable of thinking straight and all he could really focus on was the feeling of their hands pressed together. hearing sole call him, ‘love’, ‘boyfriend’, and ‘sweetheart’ only made him more nervous than he already was. how do boyfriends act when stuff like this happens?
danse scolded himself for looking like a fool in front of sole herself and the random bartender that continued to eye him down. despite all his worries and anxiety, he doesn’t really want the sensation of these small moments to end any sooner. the feeling of their hands intertwined and sole sticking close to him only pushed him to protect her more. he didn’t want this to be a one time thing, especially not when this feeling felt so right to him. it was just so new and foreign - it excited him. as they exited the building, he felt the disappointment build up as he felt soles hand retreat from his but fought the urge to grab it back. his eyes never left soles hand as they both walked back to sanctuary, danse still remaining suspiciously quiet with a red face. maybe, just maybe, he’ll confess to sole sooner than later.
Deacon:
he was good at fake dating. well, good at it with someone he didn’t like. this was different. this was someone he actually had feelings for and he nearly hit his own head trying to get up from his bed as des sent deacon and sole to a mission. “you’re kidding, right?” deacon would laugh nervously, hoping it was a joke coming from his boss. she was not kidding, not one bit. here he was, trying to act natural as sole tried to persuade the man to spill some information. once the man questioned their intentions with the place they tried to gain intel on, sole placed a small hand on deacons chest, causing him to grow rigid. oh boy, this was gonna be a long night for him. “oh, we were just looking for a place to reside in. we’re planning to start a family after all, right honey?”
crimson dusted deacons cheeks as he smiled, answering the question innately, “of course. we just want the best for our kids.” sole threw an arm over deacons torso, hugging him tightly as she exchanged words with the man once more. he would shyly snake his arm around her waist as he tried to keep his cool. he hadnt felt any affection like this since barbara, so he definitely wasn’t used to this anymore, but he wasn’t complaining. he’d secretly enjoy the affection shared between the two. once they got the information they needed, they both ditched the town as soon as possible to avoid seeming suspicious. as sole tried to release her hand from deacons, she only felt him grab it a little tighter. “what’s wrong?” she looked up at deacon, who was smirking friskily with a blush on his face. “the mission doesn’t end till we get back to HQ, remember?” she laughed, hitting his arm playfully as she squeezed his hand, “stupid.”
MacCready:
at first, maccready would be completely against the idea of fake dating because of his insane crush on sole, but would see it as an advantage to make the move he never had the guts to initiate. maybe this was his chance to hint at sole that he liked them, through actions of course. he thought it would be easy until sole became all affectionate and touchy with him to seem convincing to the couple they were investigating. the hand holding and small touches were gonna make him faint any minute. “what a pretty man you have there! hard to find someone so good looking these days,” the woman complimented as she eyed maccready in a flirtatious manner. before he could respond or even send his thanks, sole tiptoed and pecked maccreadys cheek, causing him to stumble back in surprise.
it took him a few moments to really get himself level headed over the events that just happened, but would let a small smile spread on his face. he unconsciously brushed his hand over the spot she had kissed and the moment only replayed more and more in his head. he watched as sole said their final goodbyes and dragged him to another side of the room, talking to him about what she had collected. he wasn’t listening. he was only focused on her face and lips and was enticed by her beauty. unknowingly, he placed a hand on soles cheek and bent down to kiss her forehead but immediately withdrew, panicking at his sudden actions. he was stuttering out apologies left and right until he felt soles hand creep into his own, a warm grin forming on her cheeks. all his worries about whether sole felt the same way immediately drifted into oblivion.
Hancock:
he would be the most natural when fake dating, seeing that he is naturally flirtatious and has obviously showed his liking to sole. of course, sole was oblivious to his indications and shrugged it off, knowing that it was part of hancocks personality. so when sole brought up the idea of fake dating for a mission so they could seem less suspicious, he agreed to it before she could say another word. maybe through this way, he can show her that his feelings are 100% genuine and not part of his coquettish nature. during the night, they spoke to some woman at the bar who apparently held essential information that they needed to push out of her. they knew they would probably have to chit chat with the woman for a long while before she really began talking about what they needed. they both decided to relax on the couch opposite of where she sat, wanting to get comfortable for the remaining of the time they were there.
at first, it started off as cute, innocent hand holding and had slowly transitioned to something more as they both got more relaxed with each other. hancock wrapped an arm around soles shoulder, unconsciously playing with strands of her hair as she laid her head on his shoulder. he eventually lifted her hand and placed a gentle kiss against her knuckles, sole smiling as a response. with a small giggle, the lady teased, “you must love her very much. it must be very nice to be in love.” hancock only sent her a broad smile, a gratifying tone dancing in his voice. “yes, i do love her very much. always have and always will. i’m sure she knows that too.” sole would laugh and nod her head, a soft red painting her cheeks. after collecting as much intel as they could, hancock lead sole out of the bar, never letting go of soles hand once. sole peeked at him shyly, her voice quiet. “did you mean what you said in the bar? or was that part of the plan?” hancock would hum teasingly in thought, “take a wild guess, sunshine. do you think i meant it?” sole would pout childishly causing hancock to burst into laughter. he walked in front of her, and gently held soles chin as he inched closer. “let me answer that for ya.”
Nick Valentine:
he’d seem almost professional at it, maybe a little awkward here and there but is a gentleman overall. he wouldn’t really mind fake dating for a mission, but wouldn’t think it’s the best way to go through with it. in the end, he’s much better at controlling his feelings for her than the others. nick is much more simple with showing his affection and shows it through small manners. he would place a firm but gentle hand on soles shoulder or would stick out his arm for sole to link her own with. as they went out and about to the designated area with soles arm linked with nicks, they finally found their suspect and tried to seem as friendly and unsuspecting as possible. unfortunately for them, the man seemed to be disgruntled by nick being a synth and often gave him a disgusted side eye as they spoke. they both decided to ignore this and continue on with their shenanigans. the detective enjoyed the unexpected attention he was receiving from sole and smiled at the feeling of her head leaning on his arm. using the same arm she rested on, he caressed her back gently. though they got negative reactions from the man, nick still remained in a contented mood due to soles acts of endearments.
he tried to start up a conversation with the suspect, hoping that he can obtain any information but the man only degraded him. “you’re dating a synth? this piece of trash?” sole could hear the loathing tone of the mans voice, and before nick could even sputter a word out, she stepped in front of him. “excuse me. you better watch how you talk to my boyfriend. he is the sweetest and most caring man i’ve ever met in my lifetime and he is most definitely better than you will ever be,” sole glared harshly before continuing, “if you don’t like it, then feel free to walk out.” she sent him an innocent smile as the man stomped passed the two, fuming at soles comment. “don’t let the door hit you on the way out, sweetheart.” she whirled around to face nick and looked at him straight in the eye, huffing. “the audacity of some people...” he only chuckled and ruffled her hair. nick was pleasantly surprised with how she handled the situation and felt his mechanical heart whir happily as he locked eyes with her. “well aren’t you something, doll? can’t find anyone else like you.” he complimented, “so what’s the plan now since our main man decided to take a hitch?” giggling, she linked arms with nick once more, dragging him with a skip in her step. “i say we keep searching. there must be more than one person in this town that’s connected to him.” nick was just glad to share these small moments with sole.

SPENCER’S POV
“She’s ready to see you, Mr. Reid.” said the nurse in the front desk.
Despite having a pants dropping schedule at work, I always managed to find time for Y/N, and of course my mother. Even if I write to her everyday, being able to physically be with her hits differently. I get to entertain her by discussing how my day at work usually goes. I never brought up Y/N. I figured she didn’t want to see her son fly away into the arms of another woman but Y/N has been something special to me and it’s about time I share that part of my life with my mom.
I take a big deep breath as I see my mom cleaning up her checkers game. “Hi, Mom.” I walked over, greeting her with a big hug.
“Spencer, good to see you!” My mom looked at me, happy to finally see a familiar face again. “How have you been? It’s been awhile since you’ve visited.”
“I’m sorry, work has recently been demanding. We’ve been receiving so many cases that sometimes after every case, we start a new one the next day! It’s been super crazy that our boss Agent Hotch considers sleeping overnight in his office! I can’t even get to allot myself time to spend time with either Y/N or you-“, Mom stopped my rambling as she heard an unfamiliar name, “Y/N? Who’s Y/N?” She asks, placing a finger on her chin.
“She’s the love of my life, mom.” I said, smiling like a schoolboy in love, “I’ve been a proud boyfriend for 5 years and counting. I actually have pictures of her! Here.” I excitedly said, pulling out my phone which contained several hundreds of pictures of her. “This is her on our first date. We spent the day at the library, showing each other our favorite books.”
I grinned even wider than before that I saw mom looking at me as if she’s never seen me this happy. “You must really love her, don’t you Spence?” She asked, rubbing me in the back.
“With all my heart, mom.” I nodded. “From the very first day I laid eyes on her, I already knew she was going to be someone special to me. Being in love is a magical thing, but it doesn't always look the same for every couple. Some people fall in love and never express that love, others fall in love with someone who doesn't feel the same way, and sometimes people fall in love but can't make it work. Then, there are the lucky ones like me and Y/N who fall in love and whose love is returned. The admiration is mutual, we put each other first despite both having challenging jobs, and we feel safe in each other’s arms. I’m positively sure that I’m ready to ask for her hand in marriage, mom. I’m scared and nervous but receiving your blessing will help me overcome my anxiousness.” I reply whole heartedly, shedding a tear from my eye.
She so happens to see it and quickly wipes it off my face. “Spencer, I am extremely proud of you in every way possible and now seeing that you have somebody in your life who can be your true anchor is something special in life. I give you my blessings…”
“I feel like there’s a but after that.” I said, waiting for a response.
“But I insist on meeting your soon to be a fiancé. It’s about time I meet the young lady who’s been putting a smile on my son’s face for all these years!” She playfully demanded, putting her hands into a prayer form.
I truly wanted her to meet Y/N so I nodded, promising her she’d see her by the end of next week. I now just had to convince Y/N to find time to go with me to see mom.
The minute I got back home, I wanted to make tonight special, hoping the chances of asking Y/N to meet my mom would be higher. I cleaned up our shared apartment, cooked her favorite meal, and lighted up the candles to set the mood.
She arrived exactly 20 minutes after I arrived, looking surprisingly calm after a hard day’s work. Big heart eyes were formed as she saw me waiting by the dinning table with a fully prepared feast awaiting her.
“Spence, you made us my favorite!” Then her big heart eyes popped, forming a nervous look, “Oh my gosh, did I forget our anniversary? Do we have a special occasion? Oh my gosh I-“ “Not to worry, love. Just felt like making your favorite!” I interrupted, calming her.
“Just felt like it? I have a hunch that there’s more than that. Did you secretly do something bad and you’re trying to make up for it? Did you lose my favorite sweater? Did you break something?” she vivaciously guessed.
“Not quite.” I chuckled. “So I went to see my mom, and I finally told her about you!”
“Aw! That’s so sweet of you to do. How is Diane?”
“She’s intrigued by you, Y/N! I told her I’d bring you by next week to finally meet her.”
“Oh.” was all she said as she walked over to the dining table and quietly took a sip from her water. Sitting across from her, I reached over to hold her hand, trying to get her to look at me. “Is there something wrong, Y/N? You don’t seem excited to meet her. Do you not want to meet her?” I questioned, looking sad.
She finally looked up as she placed her hand over mine, “No, I’d love to meet her but I’m nervous Spencer but for reasons not concerning her but concerning my mother.” she quietly replied. “Obviously you’re fully aware that I may not have the perfect relationship with my mother. I used to be extremely close with her at a young age but as I started to grow older, I despised her for personal reasons, resulting in constant fights with her, tremendously damaging our relationship. The minute I turned 18, I decided to move away from her, only being in contact with my father. Sure, there are times where I have to see her, but my interactions with her are different. I can barely share eye contact with her or continue a conversation with her after more than 5 sentences. What I’m trying to say is, what if I develop a similar relationship with your mother, Spence? What if it turns out that she doesn’t like me? After all, I’m taking her only child away from her. I’m not after all a ‘mom person’ so what if I don’t have a good relationship with her in general? I’m so frightened by all the possibilities!” she broke down, heavily sobbing.
I quickly stood up from my chair across hers to sit down beside her, giving her a bone-crushing hug, rubbing her back, “Love, it’s alright. Let it all out.” I whispered in her ear, “Y/N/N, you know why she’s intrigued by you? It’s because of all the things I told her about you. Do you know how I love you? First of all, I know what love is because I feel it. I believe that when you are in love with someone, you feel the feelings that you read about in books. When you see your person, your heart leaps a little bit. You long for their touch, and you want to know everything about them. Spending time together is lovely, and you care about their hopes and dreams. Second, I never question our relationship. One way to know I love you as much as you love me has to do with how much time I spend questioning the relationship. Do you think that I want to be in this relationship but just aren’t sure? Do I think about whether I’m making a mistake in committing to you? Do I find myself rationalizing my relationship more often than not? People who love someone else as much as they love them don’t constantly question the relationship. They are secure in the fact the love is real and equal and that a commitment to it is a smart one. Finally, my attention for you never wanders. My eyes are always set on you and you only. They never wander around, looking for other potential mates as they are devoted to looking at you forever. You’re special, Y/N. My mom can feel it and it’s time she sees it.” I told her, kissing her in the cheek.
“Wow, Spence. I’m speechless.” she chuckles, “I guess it’s time I meet the mother who gave life to this genius right here.” she nods, embracing me.
--
One week has passed and I could sense that Y/N was genuinely excited, more excited than me perhaps. We walked hand-in-hand, entering the care home where my mom awaited to see my girl.
As we walked in, mom unexpectedly noticed us first, speed walking over to us, opening her arms for a hug, “You must be the very special Y/N Y/L/N. It’s such an honor to meet my boy’s girlfriend.” she smiles, “Come, sit beside me.” she walks over to the couch.
“The honor is all mine, Mrs. Reid! I’m delighted to finally meet the mother who raised the special man in my life.” Y/N politely said, sitting down beside her, “I brought you some baked goods I made for this special day.” she said, excited to give her the goods I helped make.
Mom gasped, happily taking the goods. She then looked at me with a proud face, “Beautiful and thoughtful. She’s a keeper, Spence and honey, please call me Diane or Diana.” she nodded, giving me a thumbs up.
“I know she is.” I proudly say, wrapping an arm around Y/N.
“I’m so lucky to have a smart, caring, and handsome man, Diane.” Y/N said, placing a small peck on my cheek. Mom raised a finger in the air, “Speaking of handsome, I have baby pictures of our handsome man right here.” she said, digging up pictures from her bag.  “Wasn’t he a cutie pie?” she asked, presenting baby pictures of me. Usually I would be embarrassed, but seeing my two constant rays of sunshines, I couldn’t help but watch them gush over me together. It was something I was definitely remembering for life.
As hours passed by, mom had dozens of pictures to go about with you as with every picture shown, she’d give out a single fact about me when I was a baby. You know how time passes real by when you have fun? I for sure, felt that. If I can recall, we arrived at 1pm and even though it felt like only a couple of hours passed by, it was already 7pm as visiting times were ending. Neither Y/N or I wanted to leave as we both felt safe and sound in the presence of mom. But rest assured, mom told Y/N that we were always welcome to swing by at any time as she loved having the two of us fill her day with happiness. Before we left, Y/N took the time to go to the ladies room, leaving me with mom, who took the chance to tell me something before we left.
“Spence,” she said, grasping my hand, “I don’t know how you did it but you just found the perfect girl to walk this world. Like I said, she’s definitely a keeper. She’s perfect. I don’t want you to lose her or let her go. I can recognize a life long-lasting partner when I see one, and that’s her. Your relationship will last a lifetime, kiddo. If you’re planning to marry her like you said, ‘anytime’ is now, Spencer. Marrying Y/N will make me the proudest mama on earth.” she said, looking at me with a smile on her face.
“Thank you, mom. I will make you the proudest mama on earth.. soon” I said, nodding in agreeance.
