A list of rules I'm making for myself and will edit as I think of them:

1) If it is before 10am or after 10pm then I do not have to answer the phone or messages. I do not have to feel guilty about not reading or replying. If it is an emergency I will. Everything else can wait. Whoever wants to contact me will have a 12 window every day to do so. Everything else is my time. The mornings are my time. The nights are my time. The day time is for friends and family.

2) No electronics after 1:30am except audio books. Rest the eyes. Get to sleep before 2am. Wake up by 8-9am. Try not to sleep in until 10am anymore. Eventually maybe go to bed earlier as well.

3) Fasting between 7pm-11am again. I felt good doing intermittent fasting, so I'm going to pick that back up.

Gender roles are made up

I feel like I am on repeat but I will keep shouting it. I am tired of seeing people being killed for existing in their natural state. If you believe in a gender binary, you better study up on how it became culturally defined and stop pretending that it is natural. Coming from someone who has put in the academic time: you need to consider the data.

To cancel out bias in humanity, you would need a random selection. A common critique of much psychological research is it relies on undergraduate psychology students - a very specific group. To determine true nature from culture, you should take in information from multiple cultures across space and time. It takes time. You need to move past the few cultural selections used (generally Eurocentric in either the selection of key figures or narratives and within the last few centuries with the exception of a few historical figures we revisit constantly).

OH, and look outside the Abrahamic religions scope of influence
