your friendly weekly reminder:
ratios don’t mean shit
no fic is too short or too long
you don’t have to do what your commentators want
some of the best fics get 0 comments
some fics get more kudos because they’re in a popular fandom/pairing at a popular time
people will enjoy your fic without commenting and that’s hard sometimes
keep writing ❤️

Spread-Reading for Netta, thank you for the tip. This is my own spread, please do not repost it to other sites.
Card 1: Five of Cups
Card 2: King of Cups
A loss you‘ve experienced hasn‘t found peace yet. This can be a physical loss of an object, a home, a person or a pet, or a loss that isn‘t tangible but hurts all the same, i.e. a friendship, a romantic relationship, an opportunity, etc.
This is either a situation of regret because there may have been things you could have done different, or it is the feeling of reactionary loss. Something happened, it was out if your control, and now you‘re left with the pieces.
No matter how old this wound is, it hasn‘t healed up properly. You might have buried the situation, but you haven‘t buried it properly. You‘ve put soil and flowers on it, but the thing underneath is still very much alive and hurting.
To ease it and help it find peace, you will have no other choice than to face the rough sea the wound brings with it. The King of Cups is about the mastery of emotions, so to speak, to find out what emotion it is, how it manifests for you, the actions you do out of this emotion, and so on. This card also hints at a kind person and/or a therapist. Someone you feel safe with. Someone who is a caring individual.
These emotions are difficult so it may be best to have someone with you to help you get through it, but getting through them is the thing you need to do. There is no other way.

i have been reading through the diary I kept from ages 14-17 and realising how helpful it can be to keep a record of how you're feeling at different moments.
not only is it helpful to write down and process how your feeling and give yourself time to truly think about it, it's nice to have something to look back on. to not just remember how you felt about a certain situation but to actually have yourself from that time tell you.
and also, from an adhd perspective, it's really lovely to have reminders of things I'd almost entirely forgotten. it's easy to think that your life right now isn't interesting, but in 5 years time? to know what songs you were listening to or book you were reading or even that Thing that you were so worried about but now you can't even remember the details. it's nice to have a physical reminder that time passes and things really can get better.
