#no orange side but I will do a rematch when he shows up just in case
Hot-est "Side?"
Last time (without polls) the results were a battle to the death between Logan and Janus. Logan won by the skin of his apparently sexy sexy teeth. I feel its time for a rematch without room for human fallacy (me literally just going through the notes and counting) LETS GOOO: (Including some bonuses for fun)

Shock & Awe (5)
Jaune was beyond pissed, but he had sveral valid reasons to be in such a mood. First his interaction with "what's her name", then Yang wanting a rematch, followed by that nut-job Headmaster flinging him and everyone else off a cliff.
BUT that wasn't all there was. Then the red-head that had been with "what's her name" pinned him to a tree... with a fucking spear! Finally followed up now by being chased by a massive Death-Stalker. Yeah to say this was a day Jaune had wished he had just stayed in bed, was an understatement.
Of course he would NEVER admit that the whole Death-Stalker thing was his fault... nope, not ever, that will follow him to his grave, which if the group he was with didn't figure out how to deal with it AND the Nevermore... would be fairly soon.
Pyrrha who had become his partner, through some stupid first-sight rule, was doing her best to protect him with the help of a pink haired girl and black haired boy. All the while "what's her name" her partner, Yang and Yang's partner were trying to keep the Nevermore occupied. This was the classic definition of a cluster-fuck. Worse part was they were all trying to protect him, because he had no obvious weapons.
Reaching into the pocket of his jeans Jaune pulled out a arcade token, and rolled it about in his fingers. He could, but that would be showing everyone what he really could do. He was hesitant to show that side of him.
"Ah!" Pyrrha yelled in pain as one of the Death-Stalkers pincers caught her with a backhanded blow, sending her tumbling a long the ground.
"Move away!" Jaune screamed as he flicked the coin into the air, and stretched out his arm.
"But..." the orange haired girl started to object.
"Get the FUCK away from it! NOW!" Jaune screamed as he focused. The pair backed off as Arcs of electricity started to jump about and around Jaune's form. Jaune gave a smirk as he thought how this should shut up Yang... real hard.
Tumblr media
The very sound of the shot echoed about the forest, followed by the blast as the super heated token slammed into the Death-Stalker... obliterating it entirely.
"Can you do that again?" Yang yelled as her group dodged a way from another volley of feathers turned javelins.
"It's TOO high!" Jaune yelled back as he looked up at the circling form of the great Grimm. "I have nothing that could reach it!"
"Jaune!" Pyrrha shouted as she transformed Milo from its sword form to its javelin form. "Would this work?"
"It might." Jaune shouted back "But I'm going to have to charge up."
"We'll keep it busy!" the girl using a scythe shouted.
"Fine, I'll try." Jaune shouted as he took a wider stance and began to ramp up his ability. "When I say now, toss it in front of my face."
Pyrrha nodded as she moved closer and crouched down just outside of the growing storm of electrical Arcs surrounding her partner. She half watched Jaune and half watched everyone else doing everything they could to keep the Nevermore distracted...
"NOW!"
Pyrrha didn't wait as she tossed Milo up and n front of Jaune's face...

Helping Out- Grimmjow x Reader
I've been writing GrimmIchi fics for the girlies for years, but just randomly got the thought, I want a little piece of Grimmjow for myself. However, I couldn’t figure out a prompt and used a fanfic trope generator lol. So this is the result of it. I hope to write more and read more from the fandom.
CW: Canon AU, fluff, black!fem!reader in mind, author knows nothing about medical field (be nice)
For once, Grimmjow might have to thank Kurosaki for something.
Grimmjow couldn’t tell you how he got in this position. But Urahara could! The former-Espada was nagging Ichigo for a fight since the young man kept rescheduling due to his busy medical school schedule. Grimmjow thought himself to be reformed enough (barely) and was patient. BUT! Everyone had their limits. Ichigo was listing excuses and caught up in how his class needed volunteers for an extensive role-play activity. Grimmjow couldn’t really give a damn about the trainings for healing weak human bodies, and flicked a paper projectile at the orange-haired head.
“Are you even paying attention to me?” Kurosaki asked. “No. You haven’t said anything related to rematch or fighting.” Grimmjow replied boredly. Ichigo held his scowl before a light bulb lit up in his head. He might have picked up his mentor’s tendency for plotting. Ichigo offered a deal. He agreed to fight Grimmjow if he agreed to throw on his gigai and show up to help. At first, Grimmjow outright refused. But...it had been awhile since he felt his blood thumping the way it did when going against that supernatural mutt...
Grimmjow yawned as he slumped in a chair while a woman addressed the somewhat eager group of students. He really had no idea what he was doing here. His initial plan was to make everyone as uncomfortable as possible, so he could be asked to leave. However, just as he was about to move his plan into motion, the woman had walked up to him and gently read the card around his neck.
You tried to keep your voice steady as you leaned slightly over and read the card on who was probably the most attractive gentleman in the world. “Here, we have a gentleman who has been waiting rather long in the emergency room while more urgent cases were dealt with. While this can be a frustrating situation for both you and the patient, remember to be reassuring and kind to them. Letting our negative emotions fog our mind can put many people at risks.” You looked into the prettiest blue eyes known to man. There’s no way that could be natural. “I appreciate you waiting sir. I know that you’re in a lot of pain. I’ll be glad to take care of you.” You gave him an affirming squeeze on his shoulder and smiled. You quickly pulled away and addressed the next steps in the process of the man’s imaginary wound.
What the actual fuck was that? Grimmjow was not used to being on the receiving end of genuine care and affection from a stranger. Those were emotions that were rarely showed in his world and even as he visited the World of the Living, he wouldn’t say it was one he received often. He continued to look at the woman who stood near him and spoke to the class. She was dressed in dark blue scrubs that look great on her smooth skin. Her hair was wrapped up in a bun and covered with a scarf. A loc or two peaked out. She radiated confidence as she spoke to the class and continued down the line of pretend patients, answered questions, and encouraged problem-solving from the students. There was definitely something intriguing about this human.
Ichigo jumped when the tall man suddenly appeared at his side at end of the class. “Shit! You need a bell.”
Grimmjow didn't even argue. "Who is that?"
“What?”
“Don’t fucking what me, Kurosaki. Who is that?” he hadn’t even looked at his rival and kept his gaze on you as you chatted with the volunteers and students.
Ichigo looked and tilted his head slightly. “Y/N-san? That’s the teachers' assistant in this department. I don’t know her too well, but she’s really smart. I’ve texted her a few times when I needed help. She-,”
"Will she talk to me if I bring her broken bodies?"
"What-,"
"Actually, fuck it. This gigai can't cause me that much pain. What if I break a bone?"
"What the hell, Grimmjow? She's not a doctor yet. I don't think anyone would want to deal with you if you're doing crazy shit like that."
A pause. “Give me her number.” he still was looking at you.”
“What-”
“Don’t make me repeat myself.”
“Grimmjow, I can’t give you her number. It’s creepy to give out a woman’s numbers to strangers. You’re not even a student-,” Ichigo argued.
“Hey guys,” you greeted and smiled, “good answers, Ichigo. It’s nice to see how you experience already gives you a different perspective as your peers.” Grimmjow muttered under his breath as the man received your praise. “Who’s your friend?”
“Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez,” he answered and held out his hand as he had seen humans do before. You shook it firmly. He grinned; there was something respectable about a good handshake.
“Thank you so much for coming, Grimmjow. It’s nice when people from the community use their time to help students out.” you explained.
“I’m always happy to help.” Ichigo tried to not gawk at his lie.
You nodded and giggled. “That’s so sweet. It can be hard to get people. There’s another one of these later today that I almost had to cancel. I’m still short a person, but I’ll make it work.” you went on a little.
“I can help.”
Ichigo was damn near losing his mind on the inside.
You were a bit surprised, “Oh, uh, I’d love that really, but it’s like three hours from now. I wouldn’t want to mess with your plans for today.” you scratched at your cheek.
Grimmjow snickered and shrugged. “I have no plans today. I can kill some time, find something to eat.”
That gave you an idea. “Well, at least let me buy you lunch then! I couldn’t imagine-,”
“Tch, like hell would I let a pretty woman buy me food. Don’t worry about it.”
You blushed at the compliment. “Huh well,” you reached into your pocket for a random business card you occasionally kept. You underlined a part of it, “Here’s my personal cell. I have to clean up and finish some paperwork, but we can find something close by to eat.”
Grimmjow chuckled as he took the card and looked at it. “It’s a date then.” You smiled then waved at the two men as you walked off.
“Heh, look Kurosaki. Seems I didn’t need you after all.”
The med student just dazed off in the direction that you were just at. “What. The. Actual. Fuck.”
~~~
We have a thing for Grimmjow in uniforms; he should have the same. I slipped in a personal detail with y/n having locs. I never see it (imagine that man gripping on them). I love Ichigo being shocked by a confident, committed Grimmjow. I feel like I can continue this one. I’m gonna go to sleep though. Requests are currently open. Thanks for reading!
Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley - Cassidy is making his 31st defense of the AEW international title. He has not lost a one-on-one match since September 21, 2022, but this is easily his toughest opponent yet.
These two were scheduled to meet for the first time one-on-one in November 2021, but that match was canceled. Other than that, these two had very little to do with one another until July 21, when Cassidy and the Best Friends confronted Moxley's partners in the Blackpool Combat Club. Moxley wasn't there, but on July 26 he made up for lost time with an ambush on Cassidy. The two factions and their allies have been feuding for weeks, including a ten-man brawl last week at Wembley Stadium, where Cassidy scored the winning pin. I wouldn't say these two in particular have had a personal issue, but they're the biggest stars on either side, and sooner or later they had to face off.
This is the biggest match of Orange's career. You wouldn't expect a guy with a comedy gimmick to last two minutes against a protected badass like Moxley. But a win, or even a well-fought loss, would prove Cassidy can hang with the tippy-toppy guys despite (or because of) his silliness. Beating Chris Jericho in 2020 meant a lot, and an 11-month title reign helped even more, but this match can take him to the next level.
It's pretty clear at this point that CM Punk vs. Ricky Starks was supposed to headline this show, until Punk was suspended last week and fired yesterday. Now this match has to close the show, in Punk's hometown. Both guys are making this match about which of them will carry the company through troubled times. We know Moxley can handle that kind of pressure. Cassidy has a chance to prove he can too. The best case scenario for AEW would be if Moxley makes his opponent a bigger star, so that people remember this week for Orange stepping up to make chicken salad out of Punk's chicken shit.
I could see this match going either way. Moxley has expressed a desire to "give back" by putting over younger guys; that doesn't mean he'll always do the job, obviously, but he's looking for the right time and place to do it. On the other hand, Cassidy's storyline for months is that he's fighting hurt and refuses to take a break, and that clearly won't end until someone breaks him, so he can return stronger than ever. I'd kinda like to see Moxley hold the international title just to add to its prestige, so I'd be cool with him winning here to set up Orange winning a rematch later on. But under the circumstances, you've only got one chance to headline a PPV with this matchup, for this title. So there are plenty of reasons to just let Cassidy win the big one.
MJF & Adam Cole vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds - Max and Cole won the ROH tag team title at Wembley Stadium last week; Silver and Reynolds, representing the Dark Order, won a battle royale to earn this title shot.
I expect both sides to get a babyface reaction. The fans love MJF and Cole, even though the entire basis of their friendship is that they bonded over being pricks, and we'll never be sure one won't betray the other. I think the Dark Order is supposed to have turned heel, but they're still so lovable and cuddly that I'm not sure anyone really buys it. Their whole deal now is that they resent Adam Page for "abandoning" them to reconcile with the Elite, so now they're ruthless and looking out for themselves. But it's not going to be easy to get over as selfish heels in the ring against MJF of all people, even if he is a babyface.
It's pretty clear this match is just a pit stop for Cole and MJF, on their way to a reckoning with Cole's former friends Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett, and Matt Taven. Unless those three guys interfere somehow, I don't see any chance of Silver and Reynolds winning the belts. Actually, even if there's a bunch of interference, I'd say the champs are heavy favorites to retain.
Kenny Omega vs. Konosuke Takeshita - Omega and Takeshita have since clashed in various tag team matches, but this is their first singles encounter. As Don Callis has helpfully pointed out, Kenny has not won a singles match since Don betrayed Kenny on May 10.
When Callis arrived in AEW in late 2020, he was symbolic of Omega's heel turn. Once Kenny basically went babyface in 2022, it was only a matter of time before Don turned on him. By November 2022 Callis was scouting Takeshita, raising questions about whether he was looking to replace Kenny. It seemed like Takeshita was too pure of a cinnamon roll to become a ruthless enforcer for Callis, but that's exactly what happened on May 28.
Omega does need to get some payback against Callis and Takeshita, but I don't know that he needs it right now. If he just beats Takeshita clean in the middle of the ring, the storyline's over. That doesn't make any sense when Don has spent months talking about building a new "Don Callis Family," and despite working with half a dozen heels he hasn't actually recruited anyone except Takeshita. We need more guys in this faction, which makes this the perfect opportunity for a new recruit to run in and cost Omega the victory.
Bryan Danielson vs. Ricky Starks - This is a strap match, so the participants will be tied at the wrist to either end of a long leather strap. The goal is be the first person to touch each corner of the ring in succession. I hate strap matches, because the build is "dudes whipping the shit out each other" but then the payoff is "dudes tangled up and reaching for turnbuckles." They always try to lash each other with the strap, but with both ends tied to the wrestlers it's hard to get your body in the proper position for the strappation, dudes.
The setup for this was when Ricky Steamboat refereed CM Punk vs. Starks on August 5, and Starks took Steamboat's belt off and whipped him with it. That was probably going to set up a Punk-Starks rematch on this show, but once that was off the table Starks issued a challenge to Steamboat. Steamboat produced a contract, except it was for Starks to wrestle Danielson, who unexpectedly returned from breaking his arm ten weeks ago. I assume Danielson let Dr. Proper know, and Dr. Unger know, and Dr. Hughes know, that the release forms have been signed, so those guys aren't responsible for the last couple fractures in the forearm, brother.
I assume Danielson will play babyface and get the big comeback win. But I'm rooting for Starks, because he did an amazing promo on September 2 about starting over after the rug was pulled out from under him. Danielson needs to be protected but not nearly as much as Starks needs to be elevated.
Luchasaurus vs. Darby Allin - Luchasaurus is defending the AEW TNT championship, even if his mentor Christian Cage is the one carrying the belt and all but calling himself the titleholder. Cage will be in Lucha's corner, and Allin will be cornered by his young ward, Nick Wayne. Last night Cage told Nick he'd have to throw in the towel for Darby, which may be telegraphing the finish. I suppose it'll be interesting seeing Allin fight someone the size of Luchasaurus, but this feud has been ice-cold for me and so has the Nick Wayne storyline, and combining the two hasn't made either of them better. I get the feeling Luchasaurus retains to drag this out further.
Kris Statlander vs. Ruby Soho - Statlander's AEW TBS title is on the line. Soho is 2-0 against the champion. I vaguely remember that after one of those matches people were outraged because Statlander deserved to win, but honestly that happens so often nowadays that I'm not even sure the match I'm thinking of was these two. Anyway, I don't see much point in a title change right now so I'm sure Statlander will get one of her wins back.
Samoa Joe vs. Shane Taylor - This is for Joe's ROH television title. Taylor was the runner-up to Dalton Castle in a July tournament to earn a title shot, but after Joe defeated Castle they immediately booked another tournament to choose another contender, and this time Taylor won. I have not been terribly impressed with the storytelling in Ring of Honor.
This is a huge opportunity for Taylor. He was with ROH for years, and Tony Khan brought him after the buyout, but he's not one of the ROH guys that got an AEW contract or time on AEW television. This may be the biggest crowd Shane has ever worked in front of, and I think he can deliver at this level. I mean, Joe's still going to beat his ass and retain. But I still think Taylor will turn a few heads.
Miro vs. Powerhouse Hobbs - I decided not to attend this show (last time I went to see wrestling I got COVID) but this is the one match that gives me second thoughts. I don't know what the hell these guys are fighting about but I don't care, and I don't think they do either. They're both huge and mean and they're gonna have a MEAN GUY MATCH~! and I am here for it. Well, not as "here" as I could be, I guess. I am on my couch for it. I'm always gonna root for Hobbs, but honestly it doesn't matter who wins as long as both guys pound the stuffings out of each other.
Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler & Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Jay White & Juice Robinson & Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn - FTR (Dax & Cash) and the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick) continued their rivalry last week, and the Bucks were salty that they lost. They were trying to have a civil conversation about it on August 30 when Bullet Club Gold interrupted and suggested an eight-man tag match.
Last night's Collision (in the same building as tonight's show) ended with the Bucks saving FTR from Bullet Club Gold, and the Chicago crowd was hostile to CM Punk's top enemies asking for handshakes from CM Punk's top buddies on CM Punk's show, on the night where they announced CM Punk is fired. Thew show went off the air with the Bucks smugly shaking each other's hands, which seems like a ballsy thing to do in Punk territory, when so many weirdos think the Bucks set him up somehow.
Anyway I expect Chicago to be radioactive for the Bucks for years to come, but if they are they'll just love FTR all the more. So the crowd reaction here could be complicated. Kinda thinking White's team should win.
Eddie Kingston & Katsuyori Shibata vs. Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta - Claudio vs. Eddie and Shibata vs. Yuta were two top matches on Ring of Honor's April pay-per-view, so I guess we're running those back as a tag match. We have to be getting back to Claudio-Eddie for the ROH men's world title at some point, but they don't seem to be in a hurry. The babyfaces should win, and it'd be nice if one of them pinned Claudio to set up a title bout.
Billy Gunn & Max Caster & Anthony Bowens vs. Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh - This is scheduled for the pre-show. Last night Jarrett's group gave celebrity guest star Dennis Rodman a hard time, so the Acclaimed and Billy offered to give them a shot at their trios title, with Rodman in the champs' corner. Billy and the Acclaimed just got new custom pink title belts, so there's no way they're going to lose the championship this soon.
Athena & Diamante & Mercedes Martinez vs. Hikaru Shida & Willow Nightingale & Skye Blue - Another pre-show match. I heard Tony Khan wanted to book Athena vs. Billie Starkz for the ROH women's world title, but Billie's not medically cleared. I don't know why that means Athena can't defend her title against one of the other five women in this match, but whatever. WIllow has has been feuding with Diamante and Martinez of late. Skye is a local girl so she always gets a good Chicago pop. Shida should probably be higher on the card, but maybe she can get an ROH title shot out of this if she wins. Actually, I think Athena's side will win.
Over the Budget Battle Royale - It's a battle royale for the pre-show, and that's all I've got. No participants have been announced, as far as I know. The winner will get to donate $50,000 to the charity of his choice. I assume that's 50k of AEW's money, not the winner's. Literally anything could happen with this, but I suppose a babyface needs to win.
GENRE: angst
FEATURED: eden, trickstar
WARNINGS: betrayal
PROMPT: eden and trickstar are up against one another in a performance once again. whoever loses has to give the winners a prize of whatever they want
WORD COUNT: 1,859
Trickstar thought they had won... but how wrong they were as the four Yumenosaki students still stood in their uniforms on stage as the building was now empty. Beside the defeated group was Shuetsu's Eden unit, still standing along with Trickstar — except they all smiled, full of pride and joy, as Hiyori laughed and hugged his arms around Jun and Ibara Nagisa stood off to the side of the trio, watching his unit mates with glee.
Tumblr media
"This isn't fair..."
Isara looked away from watching the Eden unit with their never-ending adrenaline of fortune and glances towards his orange haired teammate. Akehoshi was clenching his fists tight and then unreeling them, again and again.
"This isn't how it was supposed to go..."
Isara has never seen such defeat or anger ever make its way into Akehoshi's usually sunlit aura. The usually happy puffball raises his head from looking at the ground for such a long while and then begins moving towards the Eden unit, his footsteps were light but they showed how untamed Akehoshi was feeling right then and there.
"Subaru—" Isara tries calling out for his friend as the orange haired boy pushed past him without a notice. Isara frowns as he watches on. Fear begins stitching its dark silhouette into his heart as he does so.
"Berry!" The happy tone Akehoshi used to call out for Ibara Saegusa was of the mocking type. For those who didn't know Akehoshi, he sounded like his usual self, whereas for those who do know the teenage orange haired boy, that the mocking tone was for an entirely different reason. Akehoshi only ever mocks others as a test for other reasonings to see through their skills and qualities.
"Akehoshi? What do you want?" The older asked after turning and twisting away from his unit mates to meet face to face with Akehoshi.
"We'd like to make a deal with you, Eden members! Let's do a rematch of this performance — next week!"
"Akehoshi, what the hell? Don't bring us into this. You didn't even talk to us about this idea!" Hokuto scolds from far behind where Akehoshi stands.
"Why would you want to do a rematch when you clearly know that we will win... again." Nagisa says as he walks up from behind Ibara. His tall stature always wanted to make Isara cower into a corner, no matter how far away he stood from the older student.
"It's like I said: let's make a deal! We'll do a rematch of this performance — but someplace else for a different audiences reactions, except this time... whoever wins gets to choose whatever they wish as their prize and the loser has to give that prize to the winners!"
"I like that idea!" Hiyori laughed.
Isara had a totally different thought to Hiyori. It made the fear in his heart weave further around his body. This was going to end badly... he knew it was.
"It's a deal."
Isara didn't hear the rest, but he did see the way that Ibara and Akehoshi shook hands and a glint in Nagisa's eyes made Isara more uncomfortable than he has ever been before in his whole life.
...
"Akehoshi Subaru... you're a moron."
"Hokke... I know! Stop berating me — this is the twentieth time you've told me this week!" Akehoshi pouts.
"I'll stop saying it until you get it through your thick skull that—"
"Okay, that's enough! Guys, stop arguing, please!" Isara pushes himself in between Akehoshi and Hokuto, his hands flat and wide as he neared them, making them know not to get near each other for a moment. His attention focused on Hokuto for the first half of the moment, "I'm sure that Subaru gets that what he did... It wasn't right, but did you see the way Subaru looked at the time? I'm sure it was just spur of the moment!" Hokuto seems to huff and roll his eyes, looking away from Isara with a frown whilst Isara looked towards Akehoshi next, "and Subaru—"
"I know, and I'm sorry, Sally."
Isara smiles towards Akehoshi, "thank you."
"Are they at it again?" Makoto walks through the door, holding a few cold drinks in his hold, noticing the thin tense aura that filtered the place.
Isara walks towards Makoto to help him hold two of the drinks, grabbing a familiar can of energy and one of the fizzy bottles. "Yeah! But don't worry, I've stopped them this time... for now."
The glare that Isara Mao sent towards Hokuto and Akehoshi causes the duo to flinch and step further apart from one another to focus on their own duties. Isara rarely gets upset — mad or angry, for that matter — but when people find ways to break Isara's strings and make him act very so... he can be scary when needed.
"Let's just hope this is the last. The performance is tomorrow, already." Makoto reminds whilst giving Akehoshi one of the drinks — Isara did the same by giving Hokuto the bottle he held. The black-haired boy thanked Isara silently as Isara nods towards him and pops open his energy drink. The familiar extreme fizz causes its noise as Isara takes a large sip of the coldness of the liquid.
"I wonder who will win and who shall fall this time around." Hokuto speaks his thoughts put loud.
"We better believe in ourselves and win it!" Akehoshi cheers on.
No matter if the once tense atmosphere has lightened around the rest of Trickstar, Isara could still feel the entwines of darkness from the corners of the room, wanting and begging to reach out for all four of them, ready to drag Isara and his friends down for tomorrow's next performance.
He wanted to wait this evening out further. For once, Isara Mao dreaded a performance that is going to happen.
...
Shouts and squeals alike could be heard on the other side of the large curtains. Anzu was running around back and forth with a few other producers with helping in getting Trickstar ready to join Eden on the other side.
"Isara!" The said female producer hands Isara a jacket — it was a part of the new Trickstar uniform, ready for this very special occasion. Isara's jacket of the uniform had a decent sized hole in it that was far too noticeable from afar, so Anzu took it as her own mission to fix it up as quickly as she could for the boy.
"Thank you, producer! I owe you one!" He smiles towards her whilst sliding his arms through the patterned sleeves.
"You don't own me anything, I'm just doing my job proudly!"
"Trickstar, are you ready?" The voice of Jin Sagami poked through the doorway of the backroom where Trickstar all stood about waiting with anticipation.
Isara and the other members agreed towards the male teacher with their own responses.
"Alright — you can all go on then. Do Yumenosaki proud, Trickstar. We believe in you."
Isara moved forward, making his way onto the stage with the rest of Trickstar. Brightness from all the lights causes him to squint his eyes for a moment, trying to settle with the large stage. Eden awaited their arrival on the left side of the stage, just as Trickstar got into position and as the lights fade for the song to start.
Isara's heart beat erratically, overtaking half of his senses. The microphone he held in his hold scratched at the layers of his skin coming from the palm of his dominant hand.
"Let's do this." Isara hears Hokuto whisper to everyone of the Trickstar unit, just as the colours of the lights changed to match with the theme of the songs that will be playing whilst Jun Sazanami begun with the opening lyrics.
Like bees to a flower, the rest of Eden and Trickstar flow into the song perfectly, their dance moves in synchronisation with one another.
The large lights from high above sent down intense heat from overtime of use as Isara tried his best in focusing on only the song. The music blasts loud from the speakers all around the stage.
His shoulders stayed tensed up every time one of the Eden members danced their ways around him. Isara felt extremely uncomfortable... he hopes the song will end quickly, no matter how much he loves being up on stage and seeing the audience cheer him on as he sung with the rest of Trickstar.
Plenty of minutes then pass afterwards, and the cheers of the audience are still heard really loudly as the curtains fall to a draw in front of the stage. Isara slumps his shoulders, feeling his ragged breaths begin to loosen up after the amount of energy he uses with the same hour. No matter how many times he sung or danced up on stage, the ending was always the same — leaving him more tired than anything else could ever do.
A break was given to both of the units whilst the points were tallied up from around the audience.
A few extra minutes passed once more, and the curtains were rolled open again. A large screen behind both units is turned on, showing the logo stamps belonging to both Trickstar and Eden.
Shouts from the audience wavered like the waves of an ocean. Some people were rooting for Trickstar to be the winner, whilst the rest of them cheered on for Eden.
Isara focused his attention on the big screen standing behind his figure and watching the bar chart rise under the names of both units whilst Sagami and Akiomi talked on about the performance and hyping the audience up about who the winner between the two units would be.
"One last tally, and the results show..." Akiomi begins.
Isara's excitement shortens as he sees the results all tallied up.
"Eden is this week's winner!"
The audience roared on, louder than before.
"This was an easy one! We've won again! You know what that means, right, Trickstar~?" Hiyori teases towards the other unit.
"Fine... what do you want?" As the leader of his unit, Hokuto stepped forward, making sure not to talk into the microphone he held in his tight grip for the rest of Trickstar.
Nagisa stepped forwards too, standing decently close to Hokuto, a devious smile creasing his features as he leaned down to whisper in Hokuto's ear for a second and then backing away not long after once seeing Hokuto frown and twisting his figure around to walk towards Isara.
"Hokuto, what did he tell you?"
Hokuto leans his head up, meeting eye to eye with Isara, who seemed innocently confused. "I'm sorry, Isara."
"Why? What's going on?"
"Their prize, what they want is..."
Isara stood on edge. "What about it? I'm sure that whatever it is they want, we can easily give it to them! Right?" He chuckles nervously, wondering why Hokuto was acting so weird all of a sudden.
"No..."
Isara's facial features turn to one of fear as realisation settles in.
"...You're being disbanded from Trickstar..."
Isara felt dizzy.
"And leaving with Eden..."
The curtains fall around the stage once again, blanketing both units in darkness.
Hokuto's voice echoed on.
"...Forever."
Gamer Boy
Tumblr media
I know I said I won’t be posting anything this month. But it’s @yokshi-unbeliebubble‘s birthday. So this is a badly written smut for you, love. This isn’t any of your request but this is the only smut I can come up for now. Thank you for always encouraging me to write smut and to write in general. Thank you for being a wonderful friend, Melody. ❤ (And I have to remove the bald Yuta image you and Sara stuck in my head.😂)
pairing: gamer! virgin! Yuta Nakamoto x femme fatale? horny! Y/N word count: 3.2k words genre: smut summary: GAMER. VIRGIN. YUTA warnings: badly written smut, cursing, a lot of teasing, oral (male receiving), boob sucking, boob fondling, riding, outercourse, penetrative sex, unprotected sex
The large bold letters, in orange monochrome, of the words 'you win' illuminated the screen as Yuta flexed his fingers at another Tekken victory. He's been so stressed lately: his studies, his roommates. And what better way to relieve this stress but to play some arcade games which he's so good at?
"Yah Yuta, can you lay low?" The guy he just defeated in the game whined. "We already know how good you are." He just chuckled. Maybe good is an understatement, he's the best in this game and so far no one has defeated him yet. He’s the king of this game.
He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose before starting another game against the computer. This was what bored Yuta here in the arcade place, no one can really beat him in the game. He should have stayed at home and played online but he doesn't want to hear his roommate, Johnny, banging his girlfriend. If only someone becomes a worthy opponent.
When he played for the fifth time, the screen showed a challenger from the arcade behind. He flexed his fingers before choosing a character. He's the best in this game. This will be easy for him.
But it's not. The first round was a close fight and he was surprised at how amazing the person plays. The challenger won, a first. So he amped up his game and won the second round. In the third round, he was again surprised when the other player won against him in a landslide. Who is this? Finally a worthy opponent.
They played for another two sets, each round coming to a close win but the blue letters of the words 'you lose' mocked him. Yuta was annoyed. Who the fuck would beat him like this?
Before he could stand up, the person from the other side of the arcade machine stood up. Boys were staring as the woman passed by Yuta's place, glancing him over. Obviously, she isn't from here. Her piercing eyes and red mouth were distracting him, gulping at how intimidating she looks.
Her black heels made sounds as she exited the arcade place, boys’ eyes glued on her form. She's hot, the skin-tight blue dress that stops mid-thigh doesn't help as well. She defeated him? He needed a rematch.
Yuta stood up, taking his things, and exited the same arcade place when cigarette smoke welcomed him, making him cough. The girl from earlier was leaning by the wall, a stick between her red lips. "Excuse me?" He called that made her turn to him. "You were the one playing Tekken earlier?"
The girl nodded before blowing out smoke, eliciting another coughing fit from him. She dropped the cigarette butt, stepping on it with her heels. "Are you going to ask if I cheat on the game?" She took a piece of gum from the valley of her breasts that startled the guy. Yuta shook his head to regain composure as she slipped the gum in her mouth, tongue twirling the sweet treat and eyes not leaving him. "Or a rematch?" She asked before chewing.
"Can we?" He asked, then pushed his glasses up.
The girl removed his glasses that startled him, wearing them, "Do you drink?" Yuta nodded. "Do you want to have some beer with me?"
He just wanted some rematch so Yuta was curious on why he's seated in front of a girl mixing the beer and soju on one glass. "Can I get my glasses back?" He asked.
The girl smiled, "Sure thing, hot stuff." His face flamed at that. She gave him back the eyeglasses and pushed a glass of soju mixed with beer in front of him. "Drink." This girl is so dominant, it turned him on. His face winced when the alcohol hit his throat. It stings real bad. "Do you study here?"
He nodded. "I'm a computer science major," Yuta said while pushing his glasses up.
The girl had to smirk, drinking her beer. "Oh, your fingers might be good." He looked at her curiously. What does she mean by that? He saw how her eyes were focused on his fingers holding the glass, biting her lips. Does she mean the game? "How long were you playing?"
The girl looked distracted at the question but smiled at him. "Three years." He was itching to ask her name, itching to ask where she came from. Does he need to ask if she fell down from heaven. But he's scared that he might sound like a fool. Why can't he communicate with girls? This is the reason why he can’t get a girlfriend.
The girl raised an eyebrow at him and he felt something touching his leg. When he glanced down, he saw her heeled shoe pressing on his thigh. What is she doing? Unconsciously, he started sweating cold buckets. What is happening to him? She ate the meat given to them as a side dish, fork lingering in her mouth. Her tongue trailed on her red lips, eyes staring deep at him.
He lightly coughed as he can feel the front of his pants getting tight. He’s getting turned on? In a public place? She smiled while pressing her toes on his crotch and he breathed hard. The guy had to stand up abruptly that the table almost raised up with him. His cheeks heat up as he desperately glanced around to bow at people who looked at him.
The girl giggled. "Are you perhaps a virgin?" He gulped. That would make him pathetic. A loser in front of this pretty, hot girl.
"I…" Yuta claimed, stuttering in his words. "I have to go to the bathroom." The girl bit her lip, nodding, as he ran to the restroom.
‘Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!’ Yuta kept on mumbling to himself as he reached the empty stall at the end of the restroom. A groan escaped his lips after putting down his pants. He can't be that hard already. Fuck! He feels like such a loser. He blew heavy breaths, whispering for his shaft to calm down. He tried to think of sad things, desperate things just to calm himself down. He can't do this. He just met her for crying out loud.
When he returned to their table, she was nowhere to be seen. Great! Maybe she already left at how boring he is. Like every girl he went out with. .
The moment he sat down, he noticed her by the counter. Her short dress rode up on her thigh, exposing too much skin. The curves of her body were so pronounced that he licked his lips before reminding his little buddy not to act up again. But how can he even calm down when all he can see is how sexy she was bent down like that?
He gulped when she turned to face him, distracting himself with the kimchi on the table. Yuta held his breath when she sat beside him, her scent filling his nose that turned him on much more. "Thank you for drinking with me…" she trailed on her words and he lightly coughed, saying his name. "Yuta." she moaned against his ear that sent shivers down his spine. That sounds so hot.
She moved closer and he felt the material of her dress brushing against his arm. Her finger trailed on his chest. "Thank you for making me less lonely tonight, Yuta."
"You're welcome." he was sitting rather stiff, careful not to move or his hands might wander on her. This is bad! There’s a siren in his head telling him that it’s getting bad.
Her finger went to his arm, moving dangerously closer that he could feel her warm breath along the skin of his neck. The siren kept on alarming in his mind, warning him that it’s getting worst. "But you can make me happier, Yuta." He felt his cock twitch at that, hissing at himself over the fact that he's getting turned on because of his name.
He gulped before saying in a small voice, "How?" The siren turned off, followed by an explosion. He just went to deep waters.
The girl smirked before holding his wrist, guiding his hand under her skirt and between her legs. He can feel something wet against his fingertips. "I'm so wet because of you." She pushed his hand closer to her and he could feel the warmth covered in the thin sheet of silk underwear she had. A strangled moan escaped her mouth earning looks from customers near them.
He turned around, a couple nearby whispering to each other. "Not here." Yuta claimed in a breathy state. "Do you want to go to my place?" Fuck! He just dived in the deep water.
Yuta bit his lip. Why did he suddenly ask that question? Now, he kept on calming his nerves. Fiddling his fingers at the thought that he’s taking a girl with him in the dorm. He’s going to experience his first time. And with a hot girl. Is it really this easy? He paid for the cab driver who was smirking at him before letting her in their apartment building. This is it.
The elevator seemed so huge when there are only two of them inside. Once the door closed, she stepped closer to him that made him close his eyes. Her scent. Her warmth. She chuckled before he felt a hand on his thigh, moving dangerously close to his crotch. Her hand moved farther north to where his cock is starting to get hard. Yuta let out a strangled moan when he felt her finger trace the outline of his cock. He gasped when he felt her warm breath on his ear, “I badly want to corrupt a virgin." He gulped hard, eyes closing at the sensation as his hand gripped the ledge of the elevator. Here? Someone can see them.
“Can we…” He said in a breathy tone. “Can we wait until we reach my room?” The girl giggled, taking his glasses, before stepping back to give him some space. Yuta sighed, his cheeks heating up. Fuck, can he survive this?
When the elevator opened to their floor, he held her hand and walked briskly so no one could see them. The girl only smiled, purposely letting her heels make a sound on the floor. He groaned when the keys didn’t open the door making the girl giggle at his obvious frustration. Once it opened, he was quick to drag her into his room and close it behind him before Taeyong appeared from the kitchen. “Hey!”
“Hey!” Yuta greeted back, breathing hard while tightly holding the knob of the door.
The other guy only looked at him in question. “Are you hiding something?” He immediately shook his head but Taeyong laughed. “A new game?” Yuta breathed a sigh of relief before nodding. “Make sure you’re quiet while playing. Johnny is already sleeping.” He nodded.
A gasp escaped his mouth when he entered his room. The girl’s dress was already discarded on the floor, leaving her in her black satin matching lingerie and his dark rimmed glasses. Fuck! She’s so hot. He might just cum at the visual in front of him. The girl smirked before walking to where he is, kneeling in front of him. "Oh, God!" Yuta exclaimed, mentally telling his cock not to humiliate him. ‘You cannot cum right now. Please.’
Her fingers undo the fly of his jeans, letting it fall on the ground before tracing the outline from his briefs. “You like that, hmm?” All this teasing is making him light-headed. He nodded before she hooked her fingers to remove his underwear. "Oh my God!” The girl held his shaft using two hands. “Your cock is so big." She let her cheek grazed his cock that made him release a heavy breath. "So, so big." Her tongue darted out her mouth, licking the underside of his balls that startled Yuta.
She obviously knew what she was doing. Her tongue traced the base of his cock to the tip, hands fondling his balls. His hand held the knob of his door, pushing the lock with his thumb that it’s starting to sore just to make sure that no one would bother them. His other hand covered his mouth to avoid screaming at how good her tongue is. A stifled groan can be heard when she sucked on the tip and slowly wrapped her mouth around his cock.
Yuta could feel how wet and hot her mouth is. He can even feel the vibrations from her throat. She started bobbing her head, hands giving attention on his balls. He bit his lip as he clawed his nails to the door at the pleasure. Damn it! This is so good. So so good. So good that he can feel himself getting near his climax.
‘Please, not yet,’ he kept on telling himself. It’s still so good. He doesn’t want to end it yet. But when he felt her teeth lightly graze the side of his cock, his hands went to her hair and pulled her away from him. The girl gave him a confused look from his glasses. “I...I’m going to…” She giggled, finger tracing his cock that is wet with saliva and pre-cum. Yuta’s breathing stabilized. He overcame that struggle.
“You know, I would have let you cum in my mouth,” she claimed, eyes staring straight at him. “Now, you owe me.” The girl stood up, hands slipping inside his shirt and removing it from him before kissing him hard on his mouth.
Her scent fills his nose, her taste addicting that makes him dizzy. So dizzy that he only felt his back on the bed with her, hovering above him. She looks so erotic with her cleavage in front of his face. “Remove my bra.”
Yuta listened, fingers shaking while removing the hooks of her bra. Her breasts jiggled in front of him, enticing him in. “Can I?” She snickered before nodding.
His large hands cupped both of her breasts, kneading them. "It feels soft. Your breasts are so soft." He didn’t know breasts could be this soft. It’s so squishy. His thumb brushed on the perky nipples that made her moan. She likes that? He repeated the same action that made her breathe heavily against his ear. "Suck them."
He obeyed her, taking a nipple in his mouth and sucked her like a baby in desperate need of milk. The girl made a sound and he quickly covered her mouth. No one can hear them. His tongue licked circles on her nipple as she rolled her head back to catch a breath. She started pushing her breasts closer to him as he fondled the other. When her hand tugged his hair, he accidentally bit her in surprise. She screamed but he didn’t stop. Not when her boobs are this good to suck on.
A knock on the door made him let go of her. “Yuta, are you alright?” It was Johnny. He gulped when the girl smirked, rubbing her clothed core on his bare cock. He groaned before answering his dormmate a muffled yes. “Are you watching porn?” He answered a yes, expecting him to just leave. Yuta took one boob in his mouth again while she ride him. “Do you want me to introduce you to someone?” he asked.
“No, I’m…” He’s close. This is bad. “I’m good.” Then it got quiet followed by Taeyong and Johnny’s voice talking about how worried they are over Yuta being single for so long and even pitying him for being a virgin. If only they knew.
The girl only smirked before rubbing on him faster. A groan can be heard as strings of white liquid shoot on his abdomen. Fuck! He just came. Like that. But the girl didn’t stop riding him until she tugged on his hair and dug her teeth on his shoulder while shaking. He felt how the only thin cloth covering her got wet. Is that her orgasm? Did she cum already?
Then they’re done already? That fast?
She was breathless, forehead shining because of the sweat. She looks so pretty. So fucking hot. And his glasses only made her look hotter. "I want your cock inside me." Wait, they’re not yet done?
Yuta watched as she pushed her panty to the side, letting his cock slip inside the fabric. It feels sticky and so wet yet it’s so hot that he can feel his shaft burning. The girl moaned, louder this time. Her face filled with unadulterated pleasure as she rub her pussy lips on his cock. The visual is so erotic that he can feel himself getting hard again. “I have condoms.”
He was about to reach for the bedside drawer when she smirked, “Fuck condoms.” A breathy moan escaped his lips, feeling her warmth covering his bare cock. The girl licked her bottom lip, staring at him with a lot of want in her eyes. She brushed her fingers on her hair before leaning in to whisper in his ear, "Fuck! You feel so good." She started riding him. Her hands were anchored on his shoulder while bouncing on his cock. Soft moan escaping her lips as he filled her up.
She feels so tight. So hot. Sex definitely feels better than jerking alone. As she rolled her head back and pushed her chest closer to him, Yuta felt the familiar warmth traveling all over his body. His cock twitched inside her as she groaned. Her walls clenched on him and he felt himself clawing the sheets as he came. She trembled before her body fell on top of his. “That was so good.” She removed the glasses and placed it beside Yuta’s pillow.
He brushed her hair away from her sweating face, catching his breath. It does. He never realized how good sex can be. “Are we done?” He asked innocently that made the girl chuckle before leaning in to whisper in his ear, “You actually never removed my panty yet.”
-------
Yuta woke up feeling the soreness of his body and the pain in his cock. If not for the marks on his skin, he would have thought that everything is a dream. And why did she leave in the morning?
She had experience, he’s sure of that. Why would she be so good in giving him head if none? Why would she be so good in riding? So maybe he’s just another person to warm her for the night. Maybe this is all a one-night stand for her.
Why is he so disappointed?
And fuck, he’s almost late for class.
Johnny was eyeing him as he limped while walking to his chair. “Must be a good porn you’ve watched.” And Yuta just nodded, mindlessly. Taeyong looked at him in concern, asking him where his glasses are but he just shrugged. Even Jungwoo, who was his seatmate for their class, was telling him that he looked so tired. Why wouldn’t he get tired? How many times did they do it last night? He stopped counting after the fifth time he came as his head would just throb at the thought.
The sounds coming from the all-male class drowned out as the door opened. The sound of heels replacing the murmurs, resonating through the room loud and clear. That’s new. Yuta’s head perked up at the possibility of a female coming inside their room. But his eyes widened at the familiar face standing next to their professor. She’s wearing a skin tight dress and a familiar black rimmed eyeglasses. What is she doing here?
“She transferred here from the Bio-Engineering department.” What? “Close your mouths, I’m surprised myself.” The professor joked that made her giggle. “Miss Y/N, please just take any vacant seat available.”
The girl nodded at the professor before locking eyes with Yuta. She made her way to where he is that made him gulp. The other guys in front of him clearing the seat beside them. Johnny, who was sitting in front of him, fixing his hair in an attempt to impress the only girl in class. “Hi, can I take your chair?” she asked Jungwoo who looked surprised. Of all the vacant seats, why take someone else’s chair? “If you don’t want to, it’s fine. I can just sit on Yuta’s lap.” The statement even caught the professor’s attention that made him cough lightly asking Jungwoo to just move seats.
“Hi.” she greeted Yuta while settling on her seat. The glasses were removed as she placed the end part between her lips. “Sorry for leaving this morning, I had to arrange my transfer papers.” The guys around him just looked at them weirdly. Johnny whipped his head to look at him in surprise. The girl put the glasses on him, her hands wandering on his body then down his thigh, her pinky finger pressing on his crotch. “Want to play a game later?”
“Yeah.” he sounded breathless. “Sure”
“Cool! Let me play with your joystick.” Jungwoo who was seated in front of her, beside Johnny, gasped. She then leaned in to whisper in his ear but loud enough for his friends around him to hear, “You still haven’t cummed in my mouth yet.”
Fuck!
Luck of the Dice - Loki x Reader [Oneshot]
Part 1 of Sigyn’s Angst-to-Fluff Drabbles
Inspired by Cozy’s Fluff-to-Angst Fun and Games!
Pairing: Platonic!Loki / gender neutral reader
Warnings: None. Except maybe some pillow fighting? Nobody gets hurt.
Author’s Note: This is probably very silly and underwhelming, but I hope it’s still enjoyable. Wanted to try writing something not-specifically-romantic. Romance is great! But you know what? Friendship is great too. <3
@lucywrites02:
A prompt for you 💔
"I lost everything and you're laughing!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It really shouldn’t have gone this far.
Then again, when you and the god of mischief were left alone in the Avengers Compound for a weekend, what could anyone expect? After all, you and Loki were close friends. Or, as close as anyone could be with the god of mischief. He had a calm and collected demeanor, usually keeping to himself. Far from the alien god-king hellbent on destruction you’d been led to expect.
No, Loki was different. And, with most people, distant. He rarely (if ever) showed his more sensitive side to anyone - except, perhaps, for you.
So, on this weekend when most of the team was out on small missions, and Tony had gone with Pepper for a press conference on the other side of the country, you and Loki were left to your own devices. You’d spent the day alone for the most part, but eventually your friend found you, and though he didn’t say it, you could tell he was lonely.
You decided a proper hangout session was in order.
Eventually the ordered-in pizza was long since eaten, and a ridiculous romantic comedy you’d turned on just to hear Loki’s groans of frustration with the plot, long since watched. The two of you chatted for hours, until you suggested playing a game. Loki seemed intrigued, and agreed to play along - but not before declaring he would absolutely win. You responded with a playful scoff and “I’d like to see you try.”
Now you both sat on the floor in the main common area of the compound. Distant drones of the television, the volume of which was reduced to a whisper, sounded in the background. You sat cross-legged in your favorite pajamas, a blanket around your shoulders. Loki, clad in long, soft sweatpants and a dark green shirt you gifted him at last year’s holiday party, was settled across from you. He sipped tea from a mug - which Thor had given him at that same party. He never seemed to use it when Thor was around, but you knew it was his favorite. He was sentimental. You liked that about him.
You’d already explained the game’s rules, going through the ins and outs and technicalities, and giving him the chance to ask any questions. Although he hadn’t attended many Avengers “teamwork building” game nights, he must’ve been listening, because he caught on to the game exceptionally fast.
It all went downhill from there, however.
Okay, maybe introducing the god of mischief to Monopoly wasn’t your best idea -
But it wasn’t your worst idea either, and you’d stand by that.
Besides, most of the games at the compound were strictly for groups, and the others, far too risky. You were not about to open the Pandora’s box that was playing Uno with the god of mischief.
The two of you played had already racked up properties and utilities. But the moment Loki’s top hat playing piece hit St. James’ Place, your heart sank. He’d completed another set.
“I believe that’s mine.” Loki motioned to the property card and smiled, handing over the appropriate play-money.
You traded it for the card, grumbling slightly under your breath.
“What was that, my friend?” Loki snapped the card next to his three and a half complete property sets, along with his railroads… This just wasn’t fair.
“Nothing…” You huffed. But you still had a chance. You had Boardwalk and Park Place.
He had no idea what was coming.
“...Just thinking of how you’re going down.” You smiled.
Loki scoffed. “Oh, I’m quaking in my boots.”
The game continued. You built a few hotels, and felt much better about your prospects… Until Loki got hotels too.
It’s fine! If he lands on those, you glanced at your completed red and pink property sets, along with your prized deep blues, He’s toast. I just need to make it past the orange…
You looked at the board. Gulped.
Your poor little dog piece stood at the precipice of certain doom. Currently situated on the Electric Company, your own property, you had to roll just the right number to dodge Loki’s looming hotels. He really was ruthless.
“Any day now.” Loki smirked, pulling you from your thoughts.
“I was just thinking.” You shook the dice in your hands.
“Thinking?”
“Yeah. I do that sometimes.”
“Surprising.”
You glared at him, then rolled the dice, moving your piece to - New York Avenue.
Oh, no.
Loki held out an expectant hand. You grumbled, handing him a stack of money from your hand. You were dreadfully low on cash - maybe investing in all that property wasn’t the best strategy… But how else were you supposed to win? You had to win. If the team found Loki had beat you at any game, they’d never let you live it down.
Loki rolled next, of course dodging your properties perfectly. Your next turn landed you on another one of Loki’s properties, and you forked over the necessary money with a grimace.
Loki merely chuckled, his fingers shuffling through the stack of paper to make sure everything was in order before filing them onto the plump stacks of fake bills before him. Then he rolled - dodging your properties again. You groaned out loud.
“Something wrong?” He smiled.
“No way you’re rolling so well.”
With a shrug, Loki sat back, watching you roll. “Luck of the dice, I suppose.”
“Some luck!” You rolled.
Pennsylvania Avenue.
Your fate was sealed.
Loki had bought the green properties first - of course he had - setting them up handsomely with full upgrades. You looked at the god across from you, and recognized in an instant how intensely frustrating his smug looks could be. His shoulders shook, his knuckles placed in front of his mouth.
Wait...
“You’re laughing?!” You exclaimed.
Loki chuckled, only half trying to hide it as he raised his hands in mock surprise. “Me? I’ve no idea what you’re talking about,” he scoffed, but it was choppy with laughter.
“You are! You’re laughing!” Your face heated up. “I lost everything and you’re laughing!” You grabbed a nearby pillow, swinging it at him. He blocked it with his arm, shooting you a devilish grin.
“Oh, come on. What did you expect? I never lose!”
“Oh? Really? You never lose?”
“Never.” Loki smirked. You glared daggers at him, never relenting with your squishy weapon, though each blow was deflected by his arm “Woah- Hey. You’re awfully violent,” Loki chuckled, “Need to sit down?”
“Shut up!”
“Perhaps a rematch?”
“Not in this lifetime!” You laughed, chucking the pillow at him and returning to your previous spot. He grabbed it, snorting with indignance.
“Attacking me will get you nowhere, you know.” Loki held the pillow aloft, flashing you a smirk. “But then again, the first stage of grief is denial, eventually leading to acceptance-”
The next pillow you tossed hit Loki square in the face. Even he laughed, though not before tossing it back at you and hitting you in the chest - you chuckled, holding it to yourself.
“Now that I’ve demolished you in that silly game, why don’t we settle down?” Loki stretched, wiping his loose black curls back from his face. “It’s late.”
You checked the time - woah, when did it get that late? “Ah, yeah, you’re right. And you get cranky when you don’t sleep, so.” You stood, stifling a yawn.
“I beg your pardon?” Loki was standing across from you, his brow furrowed.
“What? You’re always grumpy after a bad night’s sleep. You are.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he snorted through his nose, though you noticed a twinge of humor in his expression. “You’re the one who’s grouchy in the mornings. Absolutely unbearable.”
“Oh, hush.”
Loki chuckled, settling onto the opposite couch.
As you snuggled onto the couch underneath your blanket, you swore to yourself you’d never play against the god of mischief again. Then again, seeing him laugh and smile so genuinely almost balanced out the annoyance of losing… Maybe you could be partners in the next team game. You had a good chance of convincing him to join, after all. He seemed to trust you.
You looked over at him. Yes, Loki must’ve trusted you, because he was already asleep on the other couch with a serene expression. He looked so calm, so… Happy. You smiled to yourself.
Maybe losing was worth it after all.

The Rematch
Benimaru x Fem!reader
Part three of a fight worth my time
And the part two filler fic, Borderline RBF
“A rematch?” You say with a shocked laugh “I didn’t think you took your loss that hard” you elbow the Captain playfully and don’t miss the pink on his cheeks when he rolls his eyes.
It’s been a month since he apologized and you’ve seen him almost every day since.
He’d make excuses to be in the eighth or near and whenever you were near the seventh you dropped in to see if he was free. That’s what happened today and he surprised you during lunch with his ask for a rematch.
“Humor me” he said with his deadpan expression and you think about it for a moment, with more time to prepare and since you already knew his style, you might beat him even more extravagantly than the last time. Leave him in the dirt again, begging for more. Or you might lose but either way
You nodded “Alright Beni, When were you thinking?”
Somehow word got spread around, turning your little planned spar with the Captain, into a show for the members of the 7th and 8th. Everyone clearing or rescheduling plans so they could witness a fight of someone so equally matched to the legendary Captain Benimaru Shinmon.
You chuckle when you get wind of bets, giving money to Shinra to bet on yourself with a wink before you make it out to the training ground beside the cathedral. You had a week to prepare and you couldn’t fight the excited smile that played around your lips all day.
“This is ridiculous” Beni says about the crowd and you laugh, smiling at him sweetly as you pull your hair up into a pony. “You only think that because all these people might see you lose” you tease and unzip your orange jumpsuit, tying the sleeves around your waist and getting into position across from him.
“Let’s go pretty boy” you say and he “Tchs” before throwing off his sleeve and waving you forward. “Just this once” you say and the small moment before your foot takes the step, everyone in the vicinity could feel the pressure of the air change as you both activated your abilities.
Beautiful was his thought when your fist went past him as he dodged. Radiant. When you dodged his attack and used his momentum to your gain. Resplendent a word he heard an old farmer call his wife once and tucked away in the back of his mind. Even now, as you completely meet him fist for fist, a perfect match in a fight and from what he was learning in every way, all he could think was how coruscating you looked as the seething sun framed your back from above him.
You ended in a similar position as your last fight, your knees on the ground on either side of his torso, your hands holding his wrists down as you pin him. You’re both heaving, trying to catch your breath when the air just wasn’t there, your hands are shaking as you hold him and he can feel your thighs shake with the exertion you still held on to. He could break free, but it’d be just enough to go push you off and that would be it.
He meets your eye as you grin and stare down at him. “Do you give?” You ask, a small drop of blood from debris to your hairline rubs down your temple to your jaw, the sweat on your shoulders glittering in the sun. He leans up, getting closer to your face and smirking when you don’t move your head away at all, you just smirk with strong determined eyes.
“I’d give you anything in the world” he says softly, just so you could hear before he steals that extra inch and presses his lips to yours for a split second.
The crowd gasps then goes so quiet the only sound was the two of you breathing hard.
Your eyes are wide as you stare back into his, shocked, but not confused. You’ve seen the looks he gives you and you haven’t been shy with returning them. The flirty smiles, the hand touches, he hasn’t ever been subtle.
He watched as your eyes softened and the cheeky grin he’s falling in love with finds your lips again, you chuckled once and it was the sound that broke the spell. Your hands moved to his face and his wrapped around your back as he leans up, causing you to straddle him now, your lips moving together.
The crowd which have now started to cheer and holler, fades from your mind, the feeling of his lips and tongue on yours is the only thing you’re aware of.
Tingles run down your spine as you break away from him, the sounds of the world rushing back to your ears and your cheeks heat in embarrassment and you bury your face in his neck and laugh softly.
“I forgot what we were doing for a minute” you whisper softly and he chuckles softly, his fingers running down your spine slowly “so did I” he admits and kisses your temple before he helps you stand then has you take his hands and help pull him to his feet.
“The winner is y/n!” Captain Obi says and raises your hand as the crowd cheers. You laugh with warm cheeks and give a small bow and wave. Shinra comes and slaps your winnings in your hand and then Beni winks at you when Shinra hands him some of the pot as well.
“You didn’t bet on yourself?” You ask with a laugh and he flicks the bills through his hand. “Don’t be worried, I gave it my all. I just knew you have the upper hand with the hold you have on my heart. How can I hurt the face I want to caress? The person I want to hold?” You feel your face heat up again and you cover your cheeks with your hands. He just looked at you like he asked you to pick up eggs on the way home, what gave him away though, was the glint in his eyes as they met yours, his hand grabbing the edge of one of your sleeve that was hanging tied by your waist.
“Benimaru! You sly dog!” Obi says and you roll your eyes, taking Beni’s hand in yours and pulling him away with you, far from the crowd and deep into the cathedral, as far as you could go until you can’t hear anyone else.
Which ended up being the showers
You sit on the counter as he cleans the blood off your face. You keep stealing kisses and as much as he wants to be annoyed as much as he wants to clean you up, he can’t help the fluttering in his chest.
“Are you done, Beni my sweet?” You whisper between kisses and he chuckles softly out his nose, his heart fluttering and stomach growing butterflies at your nickname.
“Your sweet?” He leans back and asks and you pause, your hands on his chest. You tilt your head and gaze into his eyes “yes. My sweet.” you say, confidently.
Your eyebrows furrow as you tilt your head “Unless you don’t like that because you don’t like sweets” you run your fingers through his hair before kissing up his jaw to his ear “unless you’d rather baby?” You whisper and feel the hitch of his breath when he feels your lips on his skin. “Maybe honey?” You run your fingers through his hair again, loving the feel of it through your fingers as you nip at his neck.
“Perhaps something like ...” you kiss across his jaw and chin to his other ear “my love” a shudder runs through him again and his forehead hits your shoulder as he sighs and melts into you.
“There are no words for ... that last one” he whispers into your neck, kissing your skin softly.
“My love it is then” you say and then chuckle as he hums into your neck.
He leans back and cups your cheeks, a soft smile gracing his lips, “And you are my love” he says and presses his lips to yours.

Obey Me! Boys and the Cute Date They Would Take MC On
Lucifer: “I feel like I don’t belong here.”
When Lucifer had mentioned that an orchestra was going to be performing, they had been so excited to go that they nearly vibrated out of existence. But now that they were here, that excitement had morphed into a heavy lump of anxiety hanging out somewhere between their heart and stomach.
Lucifer glanced down at the human with a raised eyebrow. “And what in the Three Realms would make you think that?”
For a moment, they were quiet, looking around at the crowd of demons dressed to the nines. Elegant silk evening gowns and smart tuxedos abound. Their black slacks and dress shirt made them feel so under-dressed that they might as well have shown up naked.
Lucifer, sharp as ever, pulled them closer and leaned down the speak in their ear. “You needn’t feel intimidated, my dear.”
“I don’t feel intimidated, I feel stupid.”
“That isn’t any better.”
They sighed, casting another look around the hall. Golden mantle pieces, an elegantly-winding staircase, chandeliers absolutely dripping with crystals...everything made them feel incredibly insignificant.
“Should I have gotten more dressed up?”
Lucifer chuckled. “So that’s what has you worried?”
He lead them away from the entrance into the hall proper. “All of these demons are dressed the way they are because they must work at being beautiful. You, my dear,” he stopped in front of them, reaching down to carefully hold the peacock pendent hanging from their neck - the only piece of jewelry they wore. “Are the only one who is naturally radiant enough to wear my symbol. These peasants could turn themselves into pure gold and they would only shine half as bright as you do.”
They could feel their face grow hot enough to catch fire. They opened and closed their mouth like a fish, intent on refuting Lucifer’s compliment, but he gave them no option. With a deep laugh that they felt travel up their spine, he offered his arm to them in a move straight out of a Victorian romance novel.
“Now then, shall we go? You’ll love this orchestra, I promise.”
Mammon: “I can’t believe there’s street fairs in the Devildom!”
It was surprisingly similar to something you would see up in the Human Realm. Strings of fairy lights lit up the cobblestone street that was lined with all kinds of stalls. Food stalls selling a variety of things that probably shouldn’t be deep fried but are anyway, games of chance, craftsman selling their wares - “Don’t buy anything from that one, all of their crap is cursed and they charge a fee for removal.”
“Come on,” Mammon clicked his tongue as the two of them wandered throughout the fair. “Did’ja think the Devildom was all doomed souls and torture chambers?”
“...Yes?”
The demon paused before shrugging. “Ya know, that’s fair. But we have an image to keep, don’t we? Can’t have the little humans knowin’ about our bitchin’ carnivals.”
“I’ll take the secret to my grave.”
Somewhere a little down the street, they could hear the spinning of a roulette wheel, and Mammon immediately perked up.
“Aw yeah, now we’re talking! Come on, human, you get to see the Great Mammon in all of his glory!”
A thin spike of fear ran through their body as Mammon grabbed their wrist and tugged them through the crowd. “Didn’t Lucifer ban you from gambling? Like, forever?”
“Whatever, what he don’t know won’t hurt ‘im,” they finally reached the roulette booth. “As long as I don’t lose and you don’t squeal, we don’t have anything to worry about!”
“Mammon, there’s a big, gaping hole in your logic there - “
“Have a little faith, human!” Mammon grinned and he slapped some Grimm down on the counter. The glint in his eyes was damn near predatory, and it sent a different kind of shiver down their spine.
The demon behind the counter chuckled gleefully as they spun the wheel. The crowd surrounding them hooted and hollered and shoved each other to be able to watch the wheel, but Mammon looked surprisingly calm. He stood with his arms crossed, eyes trained on the pointer at the top of the wheel.
If they hadn’t been standing right next to him, they wouldn’t have noticed him rhythmically tapping against the sleeve of his jacket.
It was almost imperceptible, but the clicking of the wheel appeared to be following the beat that Mammon was tapping, slowing as the pauses between beats got longer. Eventually, both Mammon and the wheel stopped...
Right on the number he had bet on.
The crowd groaned as Mammon collected his winnings, some hissing at him as they dispersed. The Avatar of Greed looked truly in his element as he flipped a Grimm in the air. “Told ya.”
“You were...using magic?” the human looked back and forth between the wheel and Mammon. “You manipulated the wheel.”
“Aw, man, I was hoping you wouldn’t catch that.” he sighed, pocketing his earnings. “Can’t ya just pretend I have incredible luck?”
“I will if you buy me food.”
“Deal.”
Leviathan: Going to the arcade on a Wednesday at noon was definitely one of Levi’s best ideas.
“Why does your aim suck so bad?”
“Oh, you are SO lucky this game doesn’t have friendly fire, Levi.”
“You couldn’t hit me even if it did.”
They were standing close enough that it wasn’t difficult for them to learn over and bump him with their shoulder. His grip on the orange plastic gun slipped and the virtual bullet went flying off into cyberspace. By the time he managed to correct himself, the zombie he had been aiming for was in the process of devouring the character on screen.
“Hey, what gives?!”
“Oops, sorry. My aim really sucks, you know.”
“That doesn’t even make sense!”
Despite their dirty tactics, Levi still wiped the floor with them, cackling gleefully as their scores tallied up on the screen. "Beat that, normie!"
They pouted and blew a raspberry at him. "Jerk. I want a rematch!"
"You're on!"
Satan: If they hadn’t been in the Devildom for so long, they probably would have been scared out of their mind.
That being said, they had been in the Devildom for a while, and seeing an intricately detailed panorama of a demon cat devouring a person alive was only a little unsettling at this point.
“Wow, that must have taken a while,” they got up closer to the exhibit. “It’s like I can hear the screams of agony.”
“Apparently the artist spent a century just on the expression,” Satan came up behind them, slipping his hand into theirs. “It shows, doesn’t it?”
The Devildom Art Museum was having a special exhibition on Demonic cats, and of course Satan had managed to snag tickets for the two of them. They didn’t particularly want to know how he had managed that.
“So, where to next?” they asked.
“The next room has a collection of cursed cat collars.” Satan nodded his head towards the door. “Apparently there’s one that causes whoever puts the collar on their cat to choke to death.”
“Okay, but if there are any there that harm the cats we’re firebombing the place.”
Asmodeus: “See, I told you this place was cute!”
He hadn’t been lying. The little cafe was tucked into a little side street, and the outside seating provided one of the best views of the lake that they had seen aside from being inside the castle grounds. The moons were just beginning to appear as they sky transitioned from the dark lavender color that served as the Devildom’s “day time” into full darkness, and the reflection from the lake made everything sparkle like diamonds.
“How did you even find this place, Asmo?” they asked as they were seated by the host. “This is pretty hidden.”
“Didn’t you know, darling?” Asmo laughed, reaching across the table to weave their hands together. “Some of the most beautiful things can be found in the strangest of places.”
“That’s pretty, but it doesn’t answer my question.”
“I slept with the owner’s son.”
They couldn’t hold back the definitely-not-cute snort. “Yeah, that tracks.”
“I never pass up an opportunity to fuck someone who can cook.” he said sagely. “I want to be fed before I have to do my walk of shame.”
“Don’t you have to have shame for that?”
“Hush,” Asmo giggled. “Here, they have a human-safe section.”
Beelzebub: “I don’t know, Beel, this place, seems awful expensive.”
The conversion rate between human currency and Grimm sometimes threw them off a little bit, but anytime you say three zeroes it was never a good sign.
“Does it?” Beel glanced up from the menu to look at them quizzically before peeking down at the prices again. “Ah, I guess it would. You don’t have to worry, I’ll pay for it.”
“That’s not - “
The server arrived, cutting off their protest. From the sheen of sweat on their brow, the human took it that the staff knew Beelzebub and his famous appetite. Even just the appetizer was enough to feed a whole family. When the waiter finally turned to them, he had to flip over to a new page in his pad. He looked rather relieved when they simply ordered water and fried bat wings (which they had discovered early on tasted a lot like chicken wings and it was therefore their go to.)
When the server dashed off to place their massive order, Beel turned back to the human. “What were you saying?”
“I don’t...” they sighed. “I won’t be able to pay you back.”
“Why would you have to?”
They blinked, tilting their head. “Huh?”
“I don’t mind paying. Plus, I get a discount here.”
The human glanced around the fancy dining area. “This doesn’t look like the place to give out discounts.”
“A lot of places give me and my brothers discounts. Well, Mammon lost a few of his, I think.”  Beel shrugged. “I think it’s because we’re considered nobility? I usually leave the discount as a tip though.”
That explained the grin the host had on their face when they sat them.
They smiled up at him. “You’re so sweet, Beel.”
Belphegor: Nights in the Devildom were surprisingly peaceful.
Once you got past the ideas of torture chambers and crypts, the nights were just like ones up in the Human Realm. Quiet, lazy, and on clear nights, you could see the stars.
“Do you know what that one is?”
The human followed where Belphegor was pointing. “Hm...Orion?”
“Ding.” Belphie laughed. “I knew you would be good at this.”
In typical Belphie fashion, he had texted them out of the blue and told them to meet him in the courtyard at midnight. They thought about just ignoring him and going to sleep, but now they were curious. Which was probably the demon’s plan.
When they arrived, Belphie was laying down on a blanket he had spread out on the grass.
“Took you long enough,” he yawned. “I almost fell asleep waiting for you.”
“It’s only 12:02!”
“Bold of you to assume I can’t fall asleep in two minutes. Are you going to sit down or what?”
And that was how the two of them ended up cuddled next to each other and stargazing.
Belphie knew a surprising amount about constellations.He was able to point out which star was named what, and knew most of the myths that the constellations were named after. Unsurprisingly, listening to him talk was very soothing, and they could feel their eyelids drooping.
“If you want to sleep, you can.” he finally murmured, sounding close to drifting off himself. “We can keep each other warm.”
“...I don’t think Lucifer would appreciate finding us passed out on the lawn.”
“All the more reason to do it.”

In a lot of ways, Clive is similar to the protagonist. He has the same cynical view of the world, the same sharp tongue, and the same inability to be honest with himself. The strange events that bring Clive into your life make you wonder, though: is he an ally? Or an enemy?

Light’s Corruption- Chapter V
Pairing: The DarklingxAlina
Summary:With few friends at the Little Palace, Alina must work to win the favour of her fellow grisha and their commander, who makes her feel light headed every time she sees him.
After training in Os Alta for two years, the king grows tired of waiting and demands the Sun Summoner joins a western post near the Fjerdan border along with the rest of The Second Army to test her abilities.
Something happens. Suddenly, Alina wants blood to run down the rivers and those who stand in her and The Darkling’s way will be blinded by her light and swallowed by his shadows.
It won’t be pretty

Chapter 5: Heartrenders
Days went by, and they turned into weeks. The leaves fell off the trees, a crunchy sea of red, orange, yellow and brown, and Alina wanted to pile them all on and throw herself inside.
She'd do it the first chance she got, but for that she had to beat the gardeners before they took the piles and burnt them to depressing ashes.
She talked to Michail some more during they rounds around the lake and had her rematch with Natasha.
She lost. Again. She laughed it off. Again. Natasha said she hadn't been so easy to defeat that second time, to which Alina smiled almost genuinely. Progress.
Baghra refused to see her still, and Alina was too proud to go back to her, so she tried to practice on her own. She'd hide away on the far sides of the gardens where the other grisha rarely went to and try to gain more control. It was a slow process; the temptation to let her power run free and vast was always there and trying to tame that always left her exhausted. She had no trouble falling asleep, yet each day the bags underneath her eyes seemed to deepen, as did her appetite. Alina was pretty sure that summoning should be for the better, but more than once, she had thoroughly considered laying down on the cold grass and take a nap there instead of walking all the way back to the Little Palace.
The General wasn't back yet, and much to Alina's confusion, frustration and shame, she worried. Maybe that too had something to do with the bags underneath her eyes. She tended to dream of him in all kinds of scenarios, each less pleasant than the last. It made her wake up sweaty and choking for air.
More than once, she almost wrote to him, only if just to make sure he was alright. But he had to be. Otherwise, word would've spread quickly…right?
She always talked herself out of it though. His presence was missed, her mind was making up all kind of tricks to make her reach out to him like a pathetic girl begging for attention.
The thought reminded her of Baghra's opinion of her, which only strengthened her resolve to not write to him.
She had had enough of begging, enough of getting scrapes of affection from a man who hadn't even bother to write once; she wouldn't do it again, no matter how much her heart tried to pull her to him.
But then her eyes would drift back to the black, shadow rose that laid on her nightstand, the little bit of gold on its inside long dead, and her heart would race and some form of reassurance would fall gently over her, like a blanket shielding her body.
She'd reach out and take it in her hands. It had no thorns. Her fingers would run through its petals, as soft as those of a real rose, but with something deeper in there. There was something more alive inside that rose than in any flower in all of Ravka; it was deep, powerful, and dark. It scared and alluded to her in the same measure, and she'd stare at it fascinated for an unfathomable long time.
She wondered if The Darkling could feel her caressing his shadows; and how he'd feel about it.
Besides Michail and Natasha, Alina didn’t seem to be progressing very much. They exchanged niceties and some jokes, even paired up during training, but there was not much more to it.
She told herself to be patient. These things took time.
One early afternoon, Genya showed up on her room unannounced. Alina hurried to hide her rose inside her nightstand; she wasn't sure why, but she wanted it to be her little secret.
"The Queen just left Os Alta." the redhead smiled. "As did the king. They'll be gone for two days on a hunting trip."
"A hunting trip?"
"Yes, where they kill animals for the fun of it. Like one of those brutish size competitions men seem to like so much."
Alina snorted.
"So?"
"So…"there was a gleam to her friend's eyes, and the summoner leaned back and frowned slightly, almost scared. "I could sneak you into the Grand Palace and into Her Royal Bitch's wardrobe."
"We'll get in trouble, Gen."
"Oh, please; have some faith in me." she placed her elbows on the desk and her chin atop of her hands, almost looking angelic. "Do you really think I'd get you in trouble?"
"Yes."
"Well, then you're wrong." she straightened up and tugged on Alina's arm. "C'mon; there's so many gowns and habits: she rarely wears them twice. We're not stealing; no one will know."
"How many gowns?" she asked, genuinely curious. She had seen the queen on two official occasions, the first time when she arrived from the camps near Kribirsk, and the second when she was invited to her ridiculous tea parade. Still, she had seen her in passing a few times as she strolled the grounds. A part of Alina felt ashamed of the jealousy she felt upon seeing her beautiful clothes and jewels.
There she was, living in a palace, wearing a kefta and being pampered, yet she dared to want more.
"Hundreds!" the Tailor whispered excitedly. "And they'll look much better on us anyway."
She gave in a little to temptation. They would just try them on and leave them again. No one would know, and maybe she'd be satisfied then.
"Alright, alright. But we better not get caught."
"Don't worry, we won't."
They left the bedroom and ran down the stairs, Genya holding onto the blue sleeve of her friend as she rambled about all the different fabrics and patterns and accessories while Alina tried to keep up with her, listening to every word while watching her step. The last thing she needed was to trip down the stairs.
That'd be a sad way to go for her.
"You'll love it. I promise!" Genya turned to give her a smile, but Alina's eyes drifted to the looming figure appearing in her line of vision.
The Darkling walked into the Little Palace accompanied by Ivan, Fedyor and a third heartrender.
It was a woman, a little bit older than Alina probably, but only for a few years. She was tall, with long, brown hair cascading down her back. Her kefta, which hugged her rounded figure nicely, gave her away as a fellow heartrender.
The Darkling noticed them approaching. Alina tried to search something in his eyes, anything that gave away any sort of emotion that could cause in him to see her again, but she saw nothing but his usual coolness.
The Summoner and the Tailor came to a stop and bowed.
"Moi Soverennyi." they bowed respectfully.
"Miss Starkov, Miss Safin; it has been some time." he looked from one to the other. "May I inquire as to your present activities?"
"Nothing we're not supposed to do." Alina spat out, earning herself a dainty elbow to the ribs.
General Kirigan rose an eyebrow.
"I see. See to it that it stays that way."
"Of course, sir." spoke Genya, serious all of a sudden.
The man turned and contemplated the strange woman for a moment, then gestured at Alina with a gloved hand.
"This is Alina Starkov, our Sun Summoner." he looked at her, those pools of grey catching her breath. "Miss Starkov, may I introduce you to Nina Zenik. She is one of my best agents and has just recently returned from an assignment in Shu Han."
The woman's green eyes settled on Alina, taking her in. Something glittered in there.
"So, she is real after all."
"Would I lie to you?" was The Darkling's reply.
"You forgot to mention how pretty she is." Nina ignored him, taking a long, stealth step towards her and catching a tendril of Alina's dark hair in her fingers.
"Um, it's a pleasure to meet you." The Sun Summoner managed to say, nervous under the woman scrutiny.
"Oh, a pleasure indeed, sun bean." Nina smiled, amusement shining in her eyes as Alina's face heated up. "I can't wait to make your acquaintance."
Before Alina could even think of an answer -for the woman's pretty eyes were too distracting- The Darkling cleared his throat.
"Not for some time, I am afraid." he said. Alina finally turned her gaze to him. There was something dark and intense in the way he was staring at Nina's back, his jaw tense. "Miss Starkov has quite the busy schedule."
Alina felt Genya tensing beside her. Nina's eyes slid momentarily, as if she could see The Darkling behind her, and nodded, winking at her before receding.
"Certainly. I can only imagine." she turned a charming smile on him. "Should we discuss my mission in private?"
"Of course." he answered almost, almost too quickly. He made a gesture for her to go in first.
"See you around, sun bean."
Alina choked on her own saliva as she struggled to say her farewell.
Ivan left with them without even glancing in their direction; Fedyor was kind enough to give them each a courteous smile.
Genya was giggling like an idiot.
"Shut up."
Now she was laughing.
During their training one day, Alina decided to pair up with her. Many grisha gave her a myriad of odd looks, and for a moment, Alina feared she might be about to face another Zoya.
Nina seemed to not to notice them and beckoned her forward.
People seemed to like Nina, Alina observed. The woman had charm and wit; the Sun Summoner really had to try to not get jealous of those traits. She reminded herself that Nina had been at the Little Palace for years, not one season and a half.
They circled each other, taking their measures.
Alina didn't want to be the one to strike first. That always had seemed to go wrong thus far, so she waited.
The heartrender went to the left, so Alina turned, only to be tricked as she received a blow on her right. She winced and stood back, more alert. She didn't want to make a ridicule again.
"You're small and skinny." the heartrender whispered. Alina arched an eyebrow. "I'm bigger and stronger, so your best option is to tire me out."
"I'm not exactly the fastest person."
Nina threw a punch and, luckily, Alina blocked it successfully.
She shook her head.
"Speed and resistance don't need to go hand in hand."
Alina didn't dare to look around to see if anyone else could hear them. She hoped not. Botkin would most certainly disapprove of his students giving each other advice on how to defeat them.
So, with Nina's words in mind, Alina did her best to block and recede. She tried, mostly unsuccessfully, to punch and kick, and received a wince and an "ouch" as Nina rubbed her calf.
The Summoner could feel everyone still watching, Marie and Nadia cheering her on; Sergei and Michail more reserved since she was fighting a fellow red sporter.
Then, Alina caught a glimpse. It was a second, and before she even knew it, she was taking a chance.
Nina was placing her foot down, twisting it as if to test it, and the next she was laying on her back, Alina having all but hurled herself at the woman, grabbing her middle section with all her strength and pushing.
They landed on the ground, and in the disbelief, the Summoner almost forgot to fully immobilize her opponent the way Botkin had taught her.
"You know," Nina gasped, the breath having abandoned her lungs. "There's better ways to get on top of me, sun bean, but if you like it rough-"
Alina blushed in embarrassment, both for having potentially hurt her and for the path those words were leading to.
"Are you alright?" she interrupted hurriedly. "Did I hurt you?"
Nina tried to laugh and cried instead.
"Shit, sun bean. You do have some strength in that tiny body after all."
"Alright!" Botkin clapped his hands twice, coming over toward them. "The little girl wins again, …finally."
Alina was almost offended. At least Marie and Nadia were cheering, as were some others Etherealki. She noticed Sergei and Michail exchanging some coins and scowled.
"Healer." she called, and one hurried to Nina's side.
"It's just a broken rib." the woman said, setting herself to work.
Nina raised an eyebrow.
"Well, I'm impressed, sun bean. I didn't actually think you'd win."
Alina found a new hiding spot where to practice her summoning. It was a most secluded corner, surrounded by old trees, an unkept stone bench and a dirty sculpture of a woman.
She really wanted to be offended.
With eyes wide, she forgot all about her practice, raced and jumped in, laughing childishly to herself.
She looked up and took in the warmth of the sun with pleasure, her face basking in it as her hands ran through leaves and sticks. It was actually a little uncomfortable, but fun.
She almost wished she could sink in and stay there forever, with the sun warming her body and the crunchy leaves all around her.
There was a big pile of leaves.
"Did you fall?"
A shadow took the light from her face, and she found The Darkling standing over her, looking down with something akin to curiosity.
"No. I just jumped."
"Into a pile of dirt?"
"It's not dirt. Besides, it's fun!" she extended a hand. "Wanna try?"
He huffed. Her cheeks heated up. She should've known better.
He took her hand and pulled her up, the mere contact making everything about him feel more intense as usual.
She held onto him.
"How did you find me?"
"You are my Sun Summoner; did you really think I would let you wander about the palace grounds unguarded?"
"Do you have me followed?" she had never noticed.
"For your safety."
"I thought this was the safest place in all of Ravka."
"I am not taking any chances with you, Alina." he replied, eyes guarded, face soft.
"Well, I've never noticed them."
"It means they are doing a good job. I would not want you to live scared, looking over your shoulder all the time."
"I might as well start now that I know."
He opened his mouth and then closed it, thumb rubbing the back of her hand. Alina wondered if he noticed what he was doing.
"You are right." he stepped closer, pulling a leaf off her hair. "But you need not fear, especially while I am on the palace grounds."
"Because not even the dumbest drüskelle would dare to cross paths with you?"
"Nor would the boldest noble."
Alina frowned. The nobles of Os Alta?
She nodded slowly.
"I have scared you." he stated, studying her face. "I apologize."
"No, no." she let go of his hand. "You just made me wearier."
"That is just how life at court is." he offered, not unkindly. "This is not just an army sometimes, especially for you and I."
Alina looked at him, questioning.
"There is no one else like us, Alina." he said, approaching her once more. The calmness, the facts were gone, replaced by a fire she wanted to step into. The vehemence in his voice made her shiver and want to take refuge in his cloak. "There never will be."
She thought about it. What exactly did he mean by that?
He reached out again and plucked another leaf from her hair, then took her face in his hands. She tilted her head up, desperate for a look into those eyes.
Her heart drummed on her ribcage, wanting to break free.
"I-" words failed her as he studied her face, like she was something unique he wanted to memorize.
His thumb ran over her lips, and she exhaled heavily at the feel.
"I forgot what I came here to tell you." he whispered in confidence, his eyes on her parted lips.
"I don't care."
One of his hands left her face and wrapped around her waist, pressing her against his hard chest. Alina almost gasped, hands coming up to rest on his shoulders. He pressed his forehead against hers and closed his eyes, hiding the conflict she had briefly witnessed there.
Alina made a choice.
She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his.
He reciprocated immediately, holding her tighter and pushing his tongue inside her mouth, demanding a dominance she was more than willing to give him.
She had been kissed, but never like this. It was a first kiss that felt like the last; its intensity so beautifully crushing and chaotic. It was like he was a missing part of her, long searched for and finally found. It was like she was the most precious, addictive treasure, something to be cherished and corrupted at the same time.
Alina was willing to let him do as he wanted with her.
Her hands pulled at his hair, earning a growl. Their eyes met briefly, the desire in them fighting to see whose was grander, before kissing again.
It was like he wanted to pull her closer still, the barrier of clothes too much. Something told Alina that the lack of them wouldn't satisfy either of them anyways.
He kissed her jaw, travelling his way up to her earlobe.
"You make me weak." he whispered harshly, only to proceed to ravish the parts of her neck that were exposed.
"You make me strong." she answered, craning her neck to give him better access.
Growling, he gave her ass a hard squeeze and pushed her back against a tree. She could feel the tug and crunches of the leaves as he buried his hands in her hair but didn't care.
She wanted more.
And more.
She drew his lips back to hers. He reached for the belt which held her kefta closed.
"Sir!"
The next thing Alina knew was that she was standing against a tree, her back aching and her body cold, yet her face hot.
She looked at The Darkling, who seemed almost unperturbed as he smoothly fixed his hair and clothes, standing at a respectable distance from her.
Ivan appeared, seeming to be in a hurry.
Alina narrowed her eyes at him. As if she didn't dislike him enough already, the little shit.
"Moi Soverennyi, you are needed in the king's counsel immediately."
"Tell that grump I shall be there shortly."
Ivan bowed and left, not even acknowledging Alina's presence.
The Darkling cleared his throat. She turned her dark gaze on him, cheeks burning against the cold air, lips probably bruised.
What had just happened?
She wasn't sure, but she wanted to do it again. The Darkling, on the other hand, remained stoic as he stared into her eyes, as if nothing had occurred between them.
"I understand that you have been training on your own;" he said, as if he were talking to any other grisha, ever polite and smooth, voice reassuring yet commanding." I shall speak to Baghra so you may return to your lessons."
"But I don't wann-"
With him gone, the early winter sun felt cold.
"Miss Starkov." he bowed to her respectfully and marched away, disappearing from view within seconds.

air temples
Written for Day 5 of @aangweek! Read here on AO3.
~*~
5. air temples - i finally realized, all of this time / it was in me / all along, it was in me
Faded. That was the word. Everything about the Northern Air Temple was… faded.
The murals had grown softer, paint peeling and splintered with jagged cracks. The walls were crumbling in many rooms, the insertion of metal pipes drastically changing the infrastructure. Spaces that had once been full of people, full of life, were abandoned. Desolate. Empty.
Aang’s memories were so - so vibrant in his mind. And now, the present simply… paled in comparison.
Faded. Everything had faded.
His chest was tight.
“Aang? Can I come in?”
Aang blinked upon hearing his name, turning around to see that Teo had wheeled up behind him. His new friend had come to a stop beneath a fractured wooden doorframe. “Uh… sure?” he finally answered. “I don’t think you need my permission, though.”
Teo shrugged as he rolled inside. “You seemed lost in thought. I didn’t want to startle you.”
Aang flushed. He’d definitely been caught up in the past. Or maybe he’d been agonizing over the present. Was there a difference? “Oh.”
Teo laughed. “Nothing wrong with being easy to read. My father tells me I’m the same.”
Aang smiled. “I guess it’s not too bad, then. Having anything in common with you is a plus.”
It was Teo’s turn for his face to redden. “Wow. Me, having something in common with the Avatar?” He shook his head, feigning awe. “That’s incredible. I’ve never felt so cool.”
Aang rolled his eyes, grinning. “As if you didn’t almost out-glide me all of a few hours ago.”
“‘Almost’?” Teo repeated, eyes twinkling with mischief. “I seem to recall that I did out-glide you, Avatar.”
Aang laughed, tilting his head to the side. “Then I guess we’ll just have to organize an official rematch, won’t we?”
“I’ll pencil it into my schedule. Hope you’re ready to lose again.”
“Ooh, fighting words.” Aang winked at him. “Don’t count your pickens before they hatch.” A beat passed, and he shook his head, realizing Teo had probably not tracked him down for small talk. “Sorry. I kind of took us on a tangent there. Was there a specific reason you were looking for me?”
Teo blinked. “Yes. Right.” He jutted his thumb behind them. “There’s something I want to show you in my room. I think it might… mean something to you.”
Aang frowned. “Should we get Katara and Sokka?”
Teo shook his head. “No. It won’t matter to them.” He hesitated, amending, “I mean, we can get them if you want, of course. It’s just -” Teo huffed. “Sorry. I didn’t think…” He met Aang’s eyes, and his next words made Aang’s entire body tense. “I found something from your people. The airbenders. I thought you might want to see it… in private.”
Aang swallowed hard, blinking back tears he both did and didn’t understand. “Thank you,” he whispered after a pause. He cleared his throat. “I really appreciate that.” He gestured to the door. “Lead the way?”
Teo nodded, and when he steered himself out the room, Aang followed.
“I found it recently,” Teo explained as he directed Aang through the temple. “Completely on accident, too. I had to get up super early one morning to help my dad with some work, so I wasn’t even half-awake when I got into my chair. I was pulling my hair up, but apparently I’d forgotten to lock the brakes, because gravity rolled me backwards with a little extra force into the corner of my room.”
Aang’s eyes widened. “Wait, are you -”
“Oh, I’m fine,” Teo reassured him with a dismissive wave of his hand. “I took way harder hits than that when I was first learning how to land with my glider.”
Aang laughed. “Yeah, landing is a lot easier when you can use airbending as a cushion.”
Teo sighed dramatically. “If only! I have to rely on favorable air currents and precise mathematical angles.”
Aang winked at him. “Which goes to show how brilliant you are, since you now land so effortlessly.”
Teo snorted. “Trial and error, Aang. Trial and error.” He gave him a crooked smile. “And all the math, too.” He paused, rolling to a stop. “Okay. We’re here.”
The room wasn’t too different from how Aang remembered the sleeping quarters of the Northern Air Temple to be. Minimalistic, yet comforting. Aang noticed there were a few mechanical gadgets scattered about the place that hadn’t been there a century ago, as well as a wooden desk with smudged blueprints resting atop it.
Teo must have realized what he was looking at, as his face went scarlet and he immediately flipped the sketches over. “Sorry. They’re nowhere near as good as my dad’s yet.”
Aang wanted to protest that Teo’s designs were fine and he didn’t want to compare them to his father’s anyway, but his voice vanished as Teo pointed to an open corner of his bedroom. A small space to the left of his friend’s sleeping arrangements.
“My chair knocked a brick loose that morning,” Teo explained, continuing the story he’d started in the hall. “At first, I thought it was just because the temple is old.” He wheeled over to the corner, running his hand over a stone slightly lighter than the rest. Indiscernible to someone not looking for it. “But when I tried to fix it…” Teo slid the brick out of the wall. In the space left open behind it were…
Scrolls?
“I found these,” Teo finished, pulling out three sheets of rolled-up parchment with his other hand and offering them to Aang. “I think they were made by the airbenders who used to live here.” He paused. “Your people, I mean.”
Aang accepted the scrolls with shaking hands. The edges of the papers had yellowed with time, age making them thin and fragile, but overall the pages were well-preserved.
Aang carefully unrolled each sheet, smoothing them out flat atop Teo’s desk. They were… Pictures.
Art.
Two were drawn by young boys, Aang presumed, based on the inexperience and bright hues of the art style. One was of a grinning sky bison, and the other was a color-coded collage of the symbols for the four elements. Both images radiated childlike glee.
The third was much neater, painted by the hand of someone gifted with a brush. It depicted the Air Nomads’ tattooing ceremony, Aang realized, where an unidentified airbender was being given their arrows and granted the title of an airbending master. Everything about the picture was - was vibrant, from the sky blue arrows to the warm tones of the monks’ orange robes, each detail bursting with memories of a peaceful time long since passed.
Aang hadn’t realized he was crying until Teo began to frantically ask if he was okay.
“I’m fine,” Aang reassured his friend, voice steadier than he expected it to be. He wiped his eyes, but tears continued to silently fall. “I just…” He glanced down at the three artworks a second time before turning around to crush Teo in a hug. The young mechanic seemed shocked, but soon returned the embrace.
“Thank you,” Aang whispered, his face nestled in Teo’s shoulder. “For keeping them alive.”
Teo squeezed Aang tighter. “I owe them everything. We wouldn’t have survived without this temple.”
The Northern Air Temple. Full of secrets and surprises. A painful past, a painful present, yet nonetheless possessing a hopeful future.
Faded, Aang had called it.
No. No, it wasn’t faded. He’d been wrong. The temple was vibrant. Bursting with colors contained behind gray stone walls. The temple was scarred, maybe. Aang couldn’t deny that. Bruised, even. Beaten and broken and blistered.
But not faded.
Vibrant.

Sparklers and Snakes and Spinners, Oh My: Chapter 2 (End)
Happy Fourth of July to those who celebrate it~
Chapter Warnings:
Swearing
Credits:
Lotus: @nekophy
Rurik: @angeutblogo
***
As Lotus began to reach for the box to toss its contents, his companion spoke, "So... how does this work?"
"Huh?"
He looked up to find Rurik staring at him with an unsure expression, still holding the small yellow box, "Do I just light it, or do I do something else first?"
Once he realized what was being asked, a cheeky grin lit up Lotus's face, "Well, first you open the box-"
"Okay smartass," Rurik huffed, rolling his eye lights and digging his finger into the flimsy cardboard siding. Once he had the box open, he stared at the contents before questioning, "... Candy? I thought these were fireworks..."
"Give it here," Lotus held out his hand, fishing out one of the 'candies' and unwrapping it to reveal a set of pellets. He set them on the concrete patio, and Rurik watched curiously as he flicked on the lighter wand and touched it to each of the pellets.
Rurik cringed in anticipation as the pellets caught on fire, the gaped when they started growing; the surprise was quickly replaced by a bark of laughter, "They look like shit."
Lotus did a double-take, "What?"
"No seriously, they look like pieces of shit growing out of the ground!" Rurik vehemently explained, gesturing to the charred coils still winding around themselves, "it even looks like they have assholes around them!"
Taking a closer look at the snakes and their resulting burn marks on the concrete, he couldn't deny the resemblance. A firework popped in the distance around the same moment he begrudgingly accepted the comparison; he pinched his nasal bone in resignation, "Oh stars, I can't unsee it..."
"I know, right?! They look like what comes out the day after I cooked!" Rurik cackled, watching as the last of the snakes crumbled in a flicker of dying embers.
The comment had Lotus doubling over in laughter as he tried to counter, "I don't think you're that bad anymore..."
"I've nearly set the kitchen on fire how many times?" Rurik gave him a knowing look that had him clamping his mouth shut. His partner had unusually bad luck with the oven, so he really couldn't say anything.
Wiping the tears from his sockets and taking a calming breath, Rurik turned his attention back to the container of goodies. He pulled out another package, gave Lotus a sly look, and snickered, "Lotus Lanterns, huh?"
"Shut up, the guy said they were the best spinners he had," Lotus grumbled, snatching the box from Rurik's grasp and pulling out a pair of pink disks. As he reached for the lighter, he remembered something and put the fireworks back down on the ground.
"What are you doing?" Rurik asked as Lotus picked up a bucket.
Lotus turned on the water spigot and answered as the bucket filled, "These ones move around, so we need some water ready in case they go into the grass. I don't need a spinner setting the yard, or my starter garden, on fire."
"Ooh... yeah...," the taller cringed at the idea, glancing at the two trees and the stair shelf of flowering plants at the far end of the yard. While Rurik normally wouldn't care about some plants getting charred, there was an unspoken agreement that Lotus's carefully tended plants were not to be screwed with; any perpetrators would have hell to pay. Rather than earn his little firecracker's scorn by scoffing at the precautionary measure, he nodded his skull along in silent agreement.
Hauling the bucket full of water back over to the box, Lotus set out the spinners and lit the tails sticking out before hauling Rurik to his feet and pulling him back into the grass. The taller monster jumped as one of the fireworks sprung to life, closely followed by the second, whizzing around and shooting colored sparks at each other. In the middle of the display, he shouted, "OH!"
It was Lotus's turn to jump as he quickly settled himself and asked, "What is it?"
"Those things," the skeleton gestured toward the spinners. "They remind me of that one T.V. show... what's it called... they had those top things with different animals living in them that would battle each other... agh, I can't remember what it's called!" Rurik scrubbed at his skull, irked by the lapse in memory. Lotus hummed to himself, trying to figure out what his boyfriend was talking about as he watched the fireworks sputter to a stop. "Ah come on, you have to know about it; it was all over the place when we were younger!"
"I didn't get to watch television when I was younger... at least, not unless my parents were already watching something, so I can't help you," the smaller shrugged, stepping forward to retrieve the burnt-out remnants of cardboard.
Rurik cringed at the reminder, "Right, your parents were shitheads." Digging into the box again, he tried to lighten the mood, "then let's face two of these bad boys off against each other and see which one lasts longer."
"Alright then, you're on. I pick that one," Lotus grinned, choosing his spinner and handing over the lighter so Rurik could do the honors. Placing them on the ground and lighting the fuses, the taller monster jogged back to his companion to watch the battle; it only lasted for thirty seconds as Rurik's fizzled out and spun to a stop. The smaller glanced over at his boyfriend, reveling in the expression that morphed from surprise to disgruntlement as he quipped, "I guess that means I won?"
"Rematch," Rurik grunted, pulling out the last two spinners from the box, "I'm picking this one." Hurriedly tossing the used ones into the trash pile and lighting the new ones, he moved back and stared at the spinning fireworks with a focused glare that made Lotus glad his boyfriend couldn't hear his laughter.
These spinners lasted longer this time, with Lotus's winding down first; as it slowed to a stop, Rurik pumped his fist into the air and whooped, "Yeah, I won! Suck it!"
"I think I'll pass," Lotus rolled his eye light, stepping back onto the patio and reaching for the pack of sparklers.
"Aww, and here I was hoping we could make some fireworks of our own later," Rurik put on a wounded expression, but the theatrics of it all alluded to it being nothing more than teasing with no real intent to push the issue.
"You'll have to settle with this for now," Lotus replied, passing one of the sticks over to Rurik and lighting it. A mere second after the sparks flew, his boyfriend gasped and dropped the stick in a panic. Carefully picking it up from the cement and handing it back to them, he reassured them, "As long as you don't hold the lit end, it won't burn you."
"Right...," the skeleton mumbled, taking hold of the sparkler to cover his embarrassment as Lotus lit his own. Waving it around a bit, he asked, "Sooo... is it supposed to do anything else?"
"Not really," Lotus answered with a shrug, tracing shapes in the air with his sparkler, "They're not the most exciting firework; they're mostly for kids or people who want something more low-key."
"It smells weird," Rurik wrinkled his nasal ridge.
"You're not supposed to sniff it, genius," Lotus joked, getting a tepid look in response. In retrospect, he probably should have started Rurik off with the sparklers since they were pretty dull compared to the other things he got. "Oh well, they can't all be winners," he stated as his sparkler neared the end of its lifespan, "the last one's a little more exciting."
"Oh?" Rurik tilted his skull in askance. Smiling coyly, Lotus stuck the dead sparkler stick into the trash container and pulled out a colorful box with the words 'Laser Sabers' barely visible in the fading twilight. Pulling out one of the items he heard his boyfriend directly over his shoulder, "a sword? Or is this another one of those spark sticks?"
Lotus chuckled at the assessment, turning toward them, "Not quite, watch." Unwrapping the fountain, he pulled over a spare pot of dirt and stuck the bottom spike into the soil up to the circular base. Setting the pot on the patio a safe distance from the rest of the fireworks and the house, he grabbed the lighter, lit the fuse, and pulled Rurik back into the grass. The skeleton opened his mouth to question the action but startled when an orange pillar of light shot up like a volcano while pink and green sparks flew a good four feet into the air and showered the ground around it.
Rurik anxiously murmured, "Is it supposed to do that?"
The uncertain question and a worried glance was met with a pat of reassurance on the shoulder, "It's doing exactly what it did in the video. If something does go wrong, we have a bucket of water as well as the hose." Despite how intimidating it looked, everything was under control; the last thing Lotus wanted was to give his boyfriend a reason to dislike fireworks more. Seemingly accepting his words, Rurik turned their attention back to the display as the pillar began to change colors alongside the sparks, creating a rainbow glow against the plastic siding of the house.
By now, it had gotten dark and other people were setting off much noisier fireworks in their own yards and in their driveways; it was a bit grating for Lotus, but Rurik looked completely unfazed thanks to his headwear as he watched at the light display. As the sparks began sinking back toward the ground a minute later, he voiced his opinion, "I'll give it to you, that one looked pretty cool... But I still like the spinny ones better."
"I'll make sure to get more of each next year," Lotus said, pulling the used fountain out of the pot and replacing it with a fresh one. Lighting it and jogging back to his boyfriend's side, he leaned against their shoulder as they watched the dazzling display; tonight was shaping up to be-
"BEYBLADE!"
Lotus shot to attention, stumbling sideways and staring at Rurik in confusion, "Wh... what?"
"Beyblades; that's what the little bastards were called!" Rurik exclaimed gleefully, digging into his pocket and pulling out his phone, "Hold on, I'll show you what I'm talking about."
Letting out a shaky huff, Lotus opened his mouth to tell Rurik off for scaring him... but the words died in his throat when he noticed how relaxed and happy his boyfriend looked browsing their phone with the lights from the fountain firework dancing across them. He couldn't help the warmth that welled up within him, feeling like he had accomplished his mission for the evening and then some.
"Here, this is what I wa-," Rurik looked up from his phone, pausing to cock a browbone, "Hey, you okay?"
"Y-yeah, I'm great," Lotus plastered a smile on his face to cover the fact that he had been gawking and moved closer so he could see the screen, "Show me what you found already." His smile grew as Rurik turned his attention back to the phone, excitedly showing off his search results as the fireworks around them bathed their backyard in ambient light.

S/O Surprises them at a game they said they couldn’t be at headcanons (Tanaka, Hinata, Bokuto) Part 2
Fandom: Haikyuu!
Written by: Sprout
Request: How would Suga, Tanaka, Bokuto, Kuroo, Daichi and Hinata react to their S/O surprising them by showing up to a game that they had previously said they couldn't make it to? - @myheroesaretired
Warnings: hinata’s may be kind of angsty. spoilers up to season 3
Author’s Note: This is my first piece of writing for Haikyuu, and my first shot at headcanons! If you have any critique I would love to hear it!:) Terra did a great job on her half, and I’m glad it’s getting the recognition she deserves! Requests are open, so please take a look at our rules and send something in!
read part one here (Daichi, Sugawara, Kuroo)
Tanaka Ryūnosuke
It had been the second day of the Miyagi Prefectural Qualifiers.
After their victory against Johzenji High the day prior, Tanaka was on a high. The ‘rip your shirt off and wave it through the air’ kind of high.
(also the ‘i got to make out with my s/o after winning two games in a row’ kind of high)
You had told him (in between the victory smooches, of course) that you couldn’t make the matches the next day due to your own team.
You were on Karasuno’s soccer team, and due to you having your own tournament coming up, the coach is making you all throw in extra practice.
But you’d be checking the live coverage as often as you could.
He pouted, but eventually relented. He couldn’t help but be a little sad about it, though.
Which would mention why he seemed to be a bit off his game.
Not only were they close to having their fated rematch with Aoba Johsai, but his good luck charm is also absent.
He knew you were watching from work when you could manage it, which made him feel a little better, but it wasn’t the same as physically seeing you cheer him on in the stands.
Hinata and Nishinoya took it upon themselves to make kissing faces towards him on the bus.
Cue Tanaka glaring at them with a sharp frown.
“We’re just trying to make you feel better!”
(they were not. they both got punched once the team arrived at the gymnasium.)
(which then resulted in a stare from Daichi, immediately making Tanaka back off)
What can he say? The captain is scary when he’s angry.
The match against Wakutani South didn’t start out great, for Tanaka at least.
Though seeing Hinata get amped because a powerhouse school took notice in him had the same effect on his teammates.
He found himself continuously looking up at the stands between plays, used to seeing your goofy faces and hearing your loud cheers.
And when the match began to get more tense, he started to lose his cool.
It’s no wonder that he ended up running into Daichi and causing the team to lose their captain for the match.
When they ended up bringing in Ennoshita to take his place, none of his team would hear his apology.
“We’re just glad you didn’t get hurt!” Asahi’s sincere honesty made Tanaka tear up. His determination to do right by his team lit the fire back into his eyes.
It only got brighter when Nishinoya pointed to the stands.
There you stood, right next to his sister, out of breath and still in your uniform. A large smile on your face and slight worry hidden your eyes.
“YOU’VE GOT THIS, BABE!” your shout echoed throughout the gymnasium, causing players and spectators alike to stare up at you with curiosity.
You hid behind Saeko, making her cackle.
Tanaka, with a fierce blush on his cheeks, shouted at the top of his lungs in return.
“LET’S DO THIS!” His teammates shouted along with him, glad he was starting to get back to normal.
It wasn’t an easy match, but the team ended up winning in the end. Daichi was incredibly proud of them, and soon enough they would be heading towards their rematch with Seijoh.
As soon as he exited the gym, he got tackled by you.
“You absolute dumbass. I’m glad you’re okay.” You met him with a kiss, to which he immediately responded back.
“I thought you had practice?” His grin was infectious, and you couldn’t help but smile in return.
“Coach let us all leave early! Shocking, I know. But apparently we’re showing promise and deserve a break.” The two of you stood close, arms wrapped around each other. “Now, time to get revenge on those Aoba Johsai brats!”
He nodded, a determined glint returning to his eyes.
Nishinoya and Hinata took this moment to start making kissing faces at him once again, ignoring Sugawara’s ranting.
Tanaka laid a kiss on your forehead, winking as he ran off to chase his teammates.
You laughed as you heard Hinata’s high pitched scream, signalling that Tanaka had caught him.
Hinata Shōyō
You had met Hinata in middle school, though you didn’t start dating until the summer before the both of you started at Karasuno.
You were in the art club, which met after school. When walking to your bike to make your way home, a burst of orange entered your vision at a startling speed.
“Hey! You’re in my class, right? Will you set for me?” His hopeful smile seemed to brighten the darkening sky, forcing you to turn away in a shy manner.
“I don’t really know how..”
“It’s easy! You just toss it up and then hit it with your hands!” A moment of silence passed between the two of you, and soon you saw his feet turn, as if he was going to leave.
A dejected sigh left his lips. “Sorry for bothering you.”
Your face shot up, and soon you found yourself reaching out for him.
“Wait! I- I can do it!” He turned back towards you in shock. “You’ll just have to show me how. No promises on how good it’ll be, though..”
His gleeful laugh rang in your ears, “I’m sure you’ll do great!” He ran back to meet you, having you set your bag near your bike. “Now, just position your hands like this..”
From that moment on, the two of you were as close as can be. You met every afternoon, sending the volleyball his way and watching in awe as he jumped to heights you didn’t think were possible.
When the two of you had started at Karasuno, he had tried to get you to sign up for a manager position on the volleyball team- but art took up too much of your time.
“You have your dream, and I have mine. We’re still going to spend a lot of time together! But I can’t follow you everywhere forever, you know?”
Though you still came to practices whenever you could, helping Kiyoko if you had the time.
Learning that their underclassman had an s/o before them shocked Tanaka and Nishinoya to their core.
You and Hinata would just laugh at their antics.
When Hinata had told you about the Interhigh tournament, you felt awful.
Of course, it had to be scheduled on the same day as your art showing.
The two of you met for meat buns the day before and walked through the town until you absolutely had to head back home.
He felt bad that he couldn’t make it to your showing, and you felt bad for not being able to make it to his games. But the little date the night before helped calm both of your nerves.
You kissed his cheek when he had walked you home, wishing him good luck.
He blushed in return, hugging you and wishing you the same.
The Art Show went well! You had sold all of your works fairly quickly, and after you had done a courtesy run through the hall, checking out your classmates' work and sending them praise, your teacher allowed you to leave.
Checking your phone for the first time since you had arrived at the showing, you realized that the team had made it the third round of the tournament and would be facing Aoba Johsai right about now. You sent Hinata a text, telling him that you were on your way. He didn’t respond so you figured that the match had already started.
You had never really had much of a chance to come to his games, as he hasn’t played in many yet, so the fact that you weren’t there didn’t throw Hinata off too much.
Seijoh was a tough opponent, and he knew he had to remain focused for his team. It wasn’t easy, though.
Each team had won one set, and this was the deciding match between the two schools. They had been at match point for a while, and neither team was backing down anytime soon.
You, meanwhile, had just rushed into the gym, standing near the entrance to watch the rest of the match. Your fingers were crossed, and all you could do was hope that the team could pull through these last few points and take the match.
Alas, some things were not meant to be.
Your heart raced as Kageyama and Hinata prepared their special quick attack, and you let yourself relax just a bit, thinking they were safe.
How could you have known that they were going to be able to block it?
The world seemed to go numb as the ball hit the court, and Seijoh’s victory cries were dull as you took in Hinata’s face. Upset. Broken. If you knew your partner, and you did, he was beating himself up right now.
Tears streamed down your face in the following moments, and you hurriedly wiped at your cheeks during the thank yous and final moments of the match.
As soon as Hinata walked off the court, you tackled him in a hug.
He froze for a moment, before clinging onto you with all his might.
“I just wanted to stay on the court and keep playing.”
“I know. You did your best.”
Bokuto Kōtarō
You were one of the manager’s for Fukurodani’s Male Volleyball Team.
Every year, you looked forward to the Tokyo training camp. It was great for you to see the interactions between Bokuto and Kuroo.
However, this year, your parents had decided to plan a visit to your family in America. Meaning that you would have to miss out on the camp, unfortunately.
Bokuto tried to convince you just to stay home. You were old enough to take care of yourself for a week, after all. He didn’t want you to miss out on their last one.
But he also understood that it had been years since you had seen this side of your family, and he didn’t want you to miss that either.
In the end, your parents and yourself made a deal. You would leave two days early so you could at least be there on the last day or so.
Bokuto was still sad that you’d be gone for a bit, but he was happy that you were coming back earlier than usual.
He made sure to send you off with some of your favorite snacks.
“I was going to get them… but I forgot so Akaashi bought them!” Cue the biggest smile from your favorite himbo and an amused eyeroll from yourself.
You made sure to text Akaashi ‘thank you’.
The time spent in America was fun. You hung out with your cousins practically the whole time, happy to see them after so many years of being apart. They introduced you to their friends, showed you all the best places to go to in their area. All in all, it was a great experience that you wouldn’t have traded with the world.
Even though you two were in completely separate time zones, you still found the time to send memes back and forth. Through discord, of course. Neither you or Bokuto could afford to pay for those outrageous international fees.
Before you knew it, it was time to head to the airport and take your flight home. Your parents were worrywarts, and made you get there five hours before your flight. Anxious of being late.
It was a miracle in disguise, you soon realized. They had overbooked your flight home, and since you had gotten there so early, the staff asked if you’d be willing to take an earlier flight.
You jumped at the opportunity, eager to get back to Japan and your boyfriend.
The flights back were a bit rough, and you were jetlagged, but you immediately took the train to Shinzen to meet with your team.
As soon as you got there, you received odd looks from various students and coaches alike. Your ragged look from being on such a long flight didn’t help.
You entered the gym and found your place by the coach, who greeted you in surprise.
Looking onto the court, you made eye contact with Akaashi. He sighed and shrugged his shoulders forward, pointing towards your boyfriend.
You couldn’t help but sigh in return as you took a glance at Bokuto. He had went into ‘emo mode’. The only thing to help at this point was to get him to make another spike. Luckily for everyone on the team, that was Akaashi’s speciality.
Soon enough, Bokuto had spiked the ball onto the opposing team’s side of the court. He immediately cheered up.
“HEY, HEY, HEY!” His arms shot up as he did a little dance. His younger teammates shouted back at him half-assed and disinterested, making you laugh.
At the sound of your chuckle, Bokuto turned to see you, happiness clear in his eyes as he shouted once more.
“I thought you didn’t get in until later, babe!”
“I had to make it back to see Akaashi take the win for us!”
He deflated a bit at that, and both you and Akaashi laughed at him. His frown turned into a mischievous smile, and you paled at the sight.
Knowing he was about to tickle you, you squealed and ran out of the gym with him hot on your trail.
“Take it back!”
“Never!”
You ended up taking it back, with him sitting on your stomach, tickling you until you relented.

ᴛʀᴀɴꜱꜰᴏʀᴍᴇʀꜱ ᴘʀɪᴍᴇ || ꜱʜᴏʀᴛ ꜱᴛᴏʀʏ
Prompt:
What if a Cyborg was thrown into a different universe where the Autobots reside, and when they do cross paths would they be friend or foe?
        Everything seemed fine, or so you thought. One moment you were helping out your comrades and the next thing you knew you had suddenly awoken out outdoors in the middle of the night. You stood up, dusting off the dirt from the sleeves of your black trench coat and inspected the new terrain. It was a dense forest, owls were hooting above the trees, and the sounds of wild wolves could be heard from afar.
You weren’t certain how you got there and attempted to contact the professor but was met with radio silence. Wasting no time as you began to wander the area in hopes of finding civilization. There, you stumbled upon a town, however, upon further inspection you noted that it had been abandoned for quite some time. Any hopes of finding any sort of communication in this particular area is meaningless.
When you were about to turn around to leave is when you heard heavy footsteps which caught your attention. You followed the sound and hid behind a tree, peeking your head out the corner to see a green robot organism running on the path of the railroad tracks to which lead to a rail tunnel. When the robot entered the tunnel that’s when you followed making sure to keep a low profile.
Halfway inside the dim tunnel is when you find a door where you approach it and twist the handle. Conveniently, it was open as you made your way inside the hidden facility. Along the way you had encountered a few men in suits and easily dispatched them with ease, without killing them of course. Upon arrival, you can see through the crack of the door that there were monitors displayed to your left and moved your gaze to see various suited men taking apart another robot, who was fully conscious. The sight caused you to build up the anger within you, it irked you at how these humans treated other lifeforms like guinea pigs.
One of the men in suits approached the door before you slammed it open with your feet sending the man hurtling towards the monitors. The sudden commotion caused everyone in the room to stop and turn towards you.
“A civilian? How did she infiltrate our base of operations?!” Yelled a man in annoyance.
Two suited men attempted to grab you, in return, you knocked them down with little effort. This caused the men to open fire at you and dodging every bullet that was fired and disarming them in the process. Then you jumped to avoid being grabbed and landed perfectly on the opposite side of the platform. You raised your head and realized that the man with a scar over the bridge of his nose had thrown a grenade towards you. Instantly, you raised your left arm and grab the grenade before crushing it within your grasp which caused it to explode.
The man chuckled. “Foolish girl.”
However, the victory was short-lived when the smoke had dissipated revealing your figure completely unscathed by the close ranged detonation.
 His dark eyes traveled down to your forearm and was taken back by what he was seeing. The sleeve of your trench coat had been torn off where it revealed your mechanical arm, its glistening dark blue hue with a skin-like silicone and metal plating cover both the exterior and interior of your limb. This newfound discovery about what you are certainly intrigued him and the malicious smirk said it all.
Suddenly, there was a loud and continuous banging coming from further down the tunnel. The monitors were airing a live video feed and it showed the green robot making his way towards where you were.
“More crisp for the mill.” Muttered the man in displeasure as he fled with the rest of his men.
By the time you ripped your gaze away from the video feed, the man had disappeared from the scene along with his henchmen.
There were heavy footsteps approaching and you simply watched as the green robot finally came into view, with his blaster out ready to aim on sight. Yet, he hadn’t really noticed your presence since his attention was purely directed towards the other unfortunate robot that was strapped on the table.
“It must be your lucky day.”
Then he proceeded to rip off the restraints and walk around the table to where his feet were and tears off the others.
“What are you doing?” He inquired.
Perhaps they’re friends? You thought to yourself and continued to watch silently as the green robot offered his hand for him to take.
“Getting you outta here. Yeah, I don’t believe it either.”
She watched the exchange as they now stood beside each other. Then other robot, who was missing his right eye, turned to her.
“And you, human, thank you for… for saving my tailpipe earlier.” He muttered out through much hesitance, but was undoubtedly grateful for your assistance.
The green one turns to you in disbelief, finally taking notice of your presence. “What—wait, you saved him?!”
Suddenly the alarms blared out and both robots ran towards the exit with you trailing right behind them. Along the way, you encountered more soldiers, however, their focus were directed at the two robots. Since you were fairly hidden in the dark, wearing dark clothing and all. Either way, you made sure not to be seen by them. Once you were out in the open, the two robots were surrounded by green military vehicles, as well as, helicopters flying above them and were rapidly firing at them.
You on the other hand remained out of sight, not really wanting to partake in the event as you watched the scene unfold. Eventually they fled the scene for unknown reasons which left only the robots behind. The sound of jets soaring across the skies can be heard followed by the sounds of metal shifting in the air; five new robots had landed. The exchange was short and the green robot took on the enemies alone, including the one that he just rescued which he tossed around like a rag doll towards the others.
“Come on, I’ll scrap all of you!” He yelled, summoning his mace on his left forearm preparing to take them all at once.
The adversaries didn’t get the chance to fire when another pair of robots entered the scene. You watched as the jets retreated, transforming and soaring high into the night sky whilst the other drove off from the scene.
“Engaging the enemy on your own was even more foolish this time, Bulkhead. But I am honored that you saw fit to rescue your rival. You have truly risen above yourself.” The baritone voice said, which belonged to a red and blue robot, fairly taller than the rest.
“Did you see? I beat Breakdown and bashed him all with his own hammer! I won the rematch!”  The green robot, known as Bulkhead exclaimed enthusiastically.
“I’m sure Miko would be proud.” The two-wheeler said, with her arms folded in front of her chest.
You took this opportunity to approach them.
“Excuse me,”
Their heads turn towards you where stand right before them, although far enough so that your head wouldn’t cramp up from their tremendous height. You can faintly hear Bulkhead cursing under his breath, seemingly forgetting that you had existed.
“I apologize for my unannounced visit, but I seemed to have lost my way. Can you help me?”
The other robots exchanged suspicious glances to one another. It was only natural for them to feel wary of you, in fact, this outcome didn't really surprise you. But this was the only logical way. They were the only ones that could help and no human could help in your predicament in fear of turning you in because of your uniqueness.
“You allowed a human to see you?!” Whispered yelled the white and orange robot, looking furiously at Bulkhead.
Bulkhead averted his gaze elsewhere and was rubbing the side of his head. “Ratchet, if it weren’t for her, Breakdown would’ve been long gone before I got there.”
This earned a couple of gasps from the group, except for the taller robot,  who merely stared at you through curiosity.
You stepped forward, “Please, don’t hold him responsible. He did what was necessary. I should be the one to take blame.” You argued, motioning with your right hand towards yourself to secretly hid the exposed one.
Bulkhead was taken back from you defending him that it made his stagger from where he stood. No one has ever done that before except for his human charge.
“What is it that you want in return?” The taller one gestures his hand towards you.
“All I ask for is for you to take me with you, maybe even allow me to seek shelter. If that is alright with the rest.” You glance over to the others who stared at you cautiously. Then the female robot stepped forward pointing an accusing finger at you.
“How do we know you’re not some sort of MECH agent?”
“Is that what they are called? Interesting… Then explain to me, how can I be speaking to you all instead of attacking you? Shouldn’t I have retreated with the rest of those MECH people?”
No one seemed to catch your genuine reaction, it was made quite clear, however the only one that truly noticed the change in your tone was the to the red and blue robot. He quickly knew that you were telling the truth.
“Very well.”
The others didn’t argue further with his decision before contacting someone.
Suddenly a green vortex appeared just behind them and proceeded to enter it. With that you followed behind as you entered the vortex, it left a pins and needle kind of sensation throughout your body. On the other side, you arrived inside a missile silo with platforms throughout and with monitors nearby. Staring down you can make out a strange insignia embedded in the middle of the room. Your mind wandered off until a young voice spoke.
“Bulkhead, you’re back! Did you beat Breakdown?” Based on her features and her accent. You concluded that she was of Japanese descent.
While the girl spoke to Bulkhead, you proceeded to walk up the flight of stairs where you were met with the girl who was ecstatic in seeing you. Her nose nearly touching yours. She clearly didn’t understand what personal space was, that or she really didn’t care. You can feel the others' intense gaze on you, seeing that you're a stranger in their base. They had every right to be defensive when the girl was ogling you so closely.
“No way… another human! Sweet!” She exclaimed before bombarding you with questions. “Who are you — where are you from — how did you meet the bots?”
The list went on until you decided to extend your left hand and then pressed your index finger against her lips.
“You’re an energetic one.” She pulls back as you lower your arm back to your side.
“Actually I consider myself an adrenaline junkie.” She points her thumb to her chest with a grin.
You went to say something but was interrupted by a new voice, an angry one too.
“What in the name of Sam hills is going on here?!”
You turned to see a tall man with dark skin as he pushed himself off the couch where he undoubtedly slept on judging by the wrinkles in his shirt. He narrowed his gaze at you for a while before moving his gaze towards the group of robots.
“Prime, you better have a good explanation why there’s another human here.” The man demanded at the red and blue robot, being displeased to see they had brought a newcomer into their base.
“Human? Is that what you think I am?” You noted with a raised brow towards the man, then your attention was focused on the group. Might as well reveal your true self before any assumptions were made.
“I can assure you,”
Then you proceed to unwrap the belt from her trench coat and then peel off the coat, allowing it to fall on the floor. Underneath, you wore a black turtleneck crop top, long jeans and black combat boots. It’s true that you do resemble that of a human because of your features, however, from the collar bone below you had a body that was purely made out of silicone and metal. Strapped around your waist was a curved short sword tucked away on the right side of your waist.
“That I am in no way shape or form considered human.”
Everyone stared at you with a mixture of awe and utter disbelief, however,  girl didn’t seemed bothered, in fact, she was thrilled! She takes your wrist and inspects your left forearm with interest where she then begins to trace your skin. It tickled at first but the feeling had adjusted to the foreign touch, noting that the girls fingertips were rough and calloused. Possibly from doing manual labor or something else entirely?
“Whoa, your skin is soft… freaky.” She mused as she continued to examine your arm.
“Miko,” The tone in Bulkhead’s voice was stern, it’s only natural for him to be protective of the human girl.
“It’s alright. I don’t mind being handled.” You assured him, by glancing over to him from the corner of your eye and then back at Miko. Once again being bombarded with quite a few amusing questions to say the least.
“Does your arm turn into a blaster just like the Autobots — what about a sword — whoa, so you do have a sword! And—”
You proceeded to interrupt her, “You ask far too many questions. But wouldn’t it be fitting if you let me explain first and ask questions later? I promise to answer them fully.”
Miko couldn’t contain her smile as she furiously nods before stepping away from you, eagerly waiting for you to start. With that out of the way, you turned to face the group of robots and began to explain.
“As I stated before, I am not human. I’m a Cyborg, a being with both biological and artificial parts. In order to function as I am, the only part that’s human within me is my brain, nothing else.”
“My sudden arrival here was uncalled for and I have yet to find the main cause of it. I was unable to contact the professor leaving me no choice but to wander. Then I stumbled upon an abandoned town where I encountered your friend here. I knew that if I had any chance to contact anyone from home it would be with him, and this happily led me to all of you.”
“How come you weren't able to contact anyone? Aren’t you Cyborgs’ capable of communicating off-world?” The dark skinned man asked.
You turned to meet his gaze, only showing a side view of your frame to him. “Yes, however, we still require a main communication hub to be able to do so. The equipment which I currently lack. All I ask for is to be allowed to take sanctuary here until I am able to communicate with the professor.”
His face hardened before crossing his arms in front of his chest. “Fine. But I have to talk to the boys back at the pentagon. They’re gonna have a hard time having you around, especially for what you are. Which means that they’ll have to debrief you to make sure you don’t cause any trouble.”
“Do what you must. I will graciously comply to whatever they ask.”
The Prime stepped forward, where he stood right in front of you the only thing that separated them was the metal railing between them. You moved your gaze away from the man and towards the larger robot before you. His azure eyes studying you from head-to-toe, not in a suspicious way, it was more out of genuine curiosity.
He kindly introduced himself to you and then presented the others to you. As he then began to the entire story of their race even including their ongoing war with the Decepticons. Once he was done with his explanation, Miko had purposely nudged your shoulder to get your full attention.
“So, what’s your name, Cyborg girl?”
Those brown eyes that showed so much curiosity that it reminded you of  yourself. The memories of when you were just as curious to explore and learn about the world that you were created in. That curiosity and excitement that was written across her eyes, Miko deeply represented your younger self. So it was no surprised that neither Miko or Optimus could’ve noticed a ghost of a smile appearing on your normally neutral features.
Perhaps being stationed on this planet for an extended period of time wouldn’t be so severe, as long as you had company. Maybe even make new friends along the wall as well.
 “Ariel.”

Chapter 21 - Fly Away
Looking at her brother made everything more real, her wings fluttering behind her as she smiles.
Y/n went to the middle and bowed to Iida "You did awesome Takami, I will improve so that I can win and beat you."
He bowed back as she talked "I will be waiting for our rematch" She smiled, and they went their separated ways.
Getting back with the 1-A class she received a lot of praise from her friends, as her eyes traveled to the 1-C class, there no one was looking at her, Shinso was next to the border that separated them, but he didn't even spare her a glance.
Taking deep breaths she looked back at the arena, now was the sparkling boy and the pink girl.
Y/n zoomed out until she felt a light tap on her shoulder, it was Tokoyami.
"I'm next..." she stared at him for a few seconds then jumped up and hugged him tightly
"Good luck! Even if you don't need it, I know you two are going to do it without breaking a sweat" she parted the hug, her wings turned back to the original boring grey.
He nodded and smiled "Thank You" he gave her head a pat and waved as he made his way to the arena.
---Timeskip---
After Tokoyami and the creator girl, which he won it was Kirishima and Tetsutetsu, that was a draw.
Uraraka made Bakugo run for his money, Bakugo won, but it was quite a fight to watch, everyone was booing the Boom Boom Boy, but when she focused on him the only feeling that was on him was determination,  that was the first time that she saw someone this determinated, and she envies him for that, the last explosion was gigantic and scary.
Then the fight between Izuku and Shoto happened.
That was a disaster, every time Shoto tried to cover Izuku with ice, he broke his finger and the wind of it broke through the waves of ice every. single. time.
But he wasn't using his left side, Izuku they were shouting at each other.
Then IT happened.
His fire exploded in a beautiful way, his fire and ice acting together like one, the scene recreated itself on her heart, blooming a new feeling.
Y/n's wings got full baby pink, while her face got more red than Kirishima's hair.
But the feeling was cut by a scream, Endevour’s scream.
"SHOOOOOOOOTOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
"Son of a-" before she could finish her phrase a strong gush of wind came from the arena.
There he was with half of his shirt burned showing his hot body.
'Oh my...'
And when the smoke cloud cleared out everyone saw Izuku on the wall outside the line.
The stadium was chaos after that, that power trip was scary, sir Cementoss almost couldn't stop them, if he had not used his quirk to stop then the result could be very tragic.
Y/n got up and smiled to the surrounding people "Wish me luck guys!" Her friends all waved at her, she took a deep breath and went to her waiting room.
The girl's phone rang, so... she picks it up, without looking at the screen
"Hello! Takami speaking!" Y/n said, she then sat on the chair in front of the table
"Hi dear, it's Mama..."
An ugly yellow took over her grey wings, the enormous feeling of panic and
Tumblr media
Oh... how scared she was from just hearing that voice.
Petrified and shaking more than a leaf.
The air was thin and cold, but breathing was becoming a shore, it felt like was her lungs were burning with each breath she took.
"Me and your father saw your little show... you learned how to fly, and can do little tricks just like that good for nothing that was our son"
Her hands were cold and her mouth dry.
"Since you look like you need some help to open your eyes to how ugly those... things on your back are... so I want you to come back home my dear, your father and I miss you so much, comeback home NOW"
"B-but mom I-"
"Are you being an ungrateful brat right now???" Mom said with poison on her voice
"N-no! I-I'll be there in a few hours, and-"
"HOURS??? I WANT YOU HERE IN ONE HOUR, YOU CAN FLY SO YOU CAN DO IT" the winged girl flinched and took a deep breath
"Yes... I will warn my teacher and will be-"
"Yes what? Sorry I think I misheard you"
"Yes mama..."
"That’s better, you have one hour, and don't even think about asking that good for nothing brother of yours for help, or your punishment will be very worst than you initially thought, do I make myself clear?"
"Y-yes mama, I will be on my way as soon as possible"
The line was cut, and she got up, her legs trembling with fear and her face paled.
The black winged girl ruined to her teacher and warned him of a family problem.
The dark wings showing that the girl no longer had faith on her.
She got far from the stadium and then flew away, she didn't want her brother to see her flying away.
'If he sees me he will come running after me... but he is a hero! Maybe he can help he...'
Sh halted her flying and looked back at the stadium.
'But... he isn't my legal guardian... they can just call the cops and accuse him of kidnapping.... better to just... obey'
She put the googles that Keigo had given her yesterday.
-yesterday-
"Hey sis! Your flying very fast! If you keep it like that you will need some gadgets, BUT FEAR NOT!!! Your incredible older brother has already thought about that!" He gave her a big goofy smile with his  behind his back.
"Really!? You got something for me?" With already yellow wings it was hard to get any happier.
He got closer to her and sat by her side, Y/n was on the carpet with Haru on side and Void on her head.
They were both exhausted from the long day, in front of the T.V. with a full belly.
"Since tomorrow is the festival I thought that you could fly and-"
"Kei-nii, you know I can't do that... they won't like that, it's better to not take any risk" she looked away from him, her wings got darker
"Yeah, Yeah, I know... I just-" he sighs and make her look at him again "Let's talk about that later, tomorrow is a big day, you can look at your present and I will put you to bed, ok?" He kissed her forehead, put an arm around her shoulder and placed a medium sized box on her lap.
"Okay" she nods and unwrap the present carefully "it's-!"
"Tcharam! A set of gadgets just like mine!" He looked at her wings seeing they go back to a bright yellow and smiled
"But (f/c)!" He chuckled at that
"Yeah, since mine is yellow, and! They are actual duplicates of my gadgets, you will need them when you get into the hero class" he took the headset and put on her, then put the (f/c) visor on her too.
"Do you believe that I can get in?" Her eyes were shinning with hope.
He chuckled and petted her head pulling her for a hug "I know so"
She hugged him back smiling, her wings were half yellow and half baby pink, with orange in the middle.
'Happy, worried and felling loved' Keigo thought
-Present-
With her (f/c) visor she flew away from the stadium and to the city where both her parents lived...
Sadly she took 3 hours to get there, and it wasn't fun to get punished.
