When you answer the video call your screen just shows a picture of his ceiling “baby?” You ask and hear the sound of moving in his kitchen over the phone speakers “Ya love me don’t cha?” His voice was playful, a hint of a laugh at the edge of his tone “I d-“ you catch yourself about to just agree because yes god yes you love this man the man you’ve spent almost every day together and slept at his house every weekend for the last seven months “w-what uh.. what do you mean?” You ask with a laugh, cheeks heating from your almost confession.

the screen of your phone brightens with the sight of his grin when he comes into frame, bowl of food in hand “ya must love me with how much food ya left me” he says as he shovels a big spoonful into his mouth and you laugh as you watch him chew and groan with how good it tastes “knowin I’d get home hungry and dyin” he says before another big bite. You laugh again and smile with a shrug “of course babe” is all you can say as you watch him with his sparkling knowing eyes and the absolutely off putting way he shoveled food in his mouth. He always forgot his lunch on mondays, you don’t know why, he just did. So you left him a good meal in his fridge hoping he’d like it. You watch as he scarfs down more and you shake your head. Sure, he was a little gross, but good lord yes, you loved him.
