Hey, babes!
Honestly I have brain rot for the idea of the ‘woman of the group does sexy dance to help mission’ trope and like LOTR boys. I also have brain rot for them hearing her sing ‘I Wanna Make Love To You’ by Etta James.
Anyway can I request the elves reactions to reader do a sexy burlesque/strip style dance? Like they in the audience and how they’d react.
By elves I mean: Elrond, Lindir, Thranduil, Legolas, Haldir and Arwen
OK I’M YELLING (I went ahead n threw our girl Galadriel in there cuz gotta catch em all right? 😁) there’s not really a mission lol but hope this does it justice! My latest D&D session the other night ended with burlesque performance so this feels like the perfect time to post this hehe
The Elves Reacting to F!Reader’s Burlesque Performance
Warnings: suggestive obviously 😆
Thranduil
Sure, he knew you’d all but been dared to set foot upon the stage, but something in your resolute expression and the long robe you wore had Thranduil’s eyebrows raising. Nary did he expect the way your hand shot out, grabbing the pole the moment the lights dimmed, or the way your robe dropped, revealing the lowest-cut, highest-slit dress he’d ever seen you in. Breath hitching, he watched as a long wave of fabric draped between your gorgeous legs, which wrapped around the pole as you climbed it. Eyes darkening as you spun, he could hardly help imagining what, or whom, else they could wind around so, and if he would ever be so blessed to see the confident air overtaking you again…
Legolas
Frowning, Legolas disappeared further into the gathering crowd. Gimli was the one who’d dared him to attend the show, telling him he was sure no pointy-ear could handle it. How could it be so, simply a performance? The crowd looked far too eager for you to be putting them into any sort of- oh. You emerged onto the stage, forearms and down covered with feathers like the wings of a great bird. Your legs were almost entirely bare, skirt minimal and bodice little more than a corset. Twirling and pirouetting into poses the woodland prince could only describe as suggestive, you beamed innocently at the crowd and hid behind your feathers, lashes fluttering. Another performer emerged behind you, hands on your waist and fingers deftly loosening your corset… Gripping the arms of his seat tighter, Legolas leaned in, a yearning in his own fingers readily accepting his friend’s latest challenge.
Haldir
A dancer you were. That was a known fact whispered among those familiar with you, often calling you something of a knife-dancer. Curiosity got the better of Haldir when scandal colored whispers of your performance right outside the woods. Was it dangerous, perhaps? Pride flowed into the little smile of anticipation he wore as fast-paced music filled the room and flames were snuffed, leading you to slide gracefully into the dim. Crouching, you crawled to the edge of the stage with a bloodthirsty grin that sent shivers down Haldir’s spine. Flicks of your wrists revealed your famed blades, which you twirled, tossed, and dragged gently along the length of your tongue. Brows raising, he found himself leaning forward with new interest. What sort of dance was- Coherent thought ceased immediately when you tossed your blades, caught them, and began slicing away at purposefully shoddy seams upon your outfit, revealing more and more until the elf was on the edge of his seat…
Galadriel
Hearing of a new form of entertainment served only to pique Galadriel’s curiosity and draw her from her frequent solitude. After all, if it was making her people happy… She did not expect to see a lone performer upon a platform, elaborately feathered fans covering most of her figure, but there you were. Clad all in white, at least from what she could see near your feet, you slowly closed the fans. The long swaths of fabric that hung near the ground begun only at your hips, the expanse of your legs utterly bare as you extended them, moving gracefully across the stage as your fans accentuated every curve and undulation of your body. Jerking, you rotated, hips swiveling as you happened to face the Lady of Lórien, and watching you through her lashes Galadriel felt a devilish smile rise to her lips. She saw exactly why there had been such a buzz…
Lindir
There had been talk of you giving a performance of some kind, but all Lindir had been able to retrieve on the subject was that he should quite like to be in the audience, so with a light heart he shuffled into the crowd, pleased to be quite close to the stage set up for you. Perhaps you’d learned a new instrument under his nose and wishes to surprise him with a performance! Perhaps- You slunk to the center clad in, oh dear, quite a sheer skirt. Feeling a rush of heat to his face, he tried to focus upon the swell of music, largely successful until you ripped your top off, hips swinging lower as your layers thinned and thinned… You froze momentarily, wearing little more than your corset, and made direct eye contact with Lindir, whose eyes widened and body felt quite faint. Slowly, deliberately, you took up your dance once more, grinning at him as you began unlacing the back of your garment. His hands shot up, half-covering his face, but he couldn’t help himself peeking again and again.
Elrond
Housing a troupe of performers was certainly an unusual set of circumstances, but not in the slightest beyond the reach of the great homely house. Indeed, at encouragement from Lindir to let music fill his halls, Elrond acquiesced to a performance, unknowing of the so-called ‘dancers’ who would emerge after the exuberant wind section. In fact, it wasn’t until they called you out that Elrond’s eyes widened, brows expressive as ever as they flexed in great shock. You were lowered down on ropes, sitting with your legs largely bared and swinging. Garments- quite the loose term- of drapery covered the rest of your form, but as you leaned back in your swing, you began twisting, swiveling, removing one veil after another… Elrond found himself looking this way and that, but his eyes could never leave you for long. Feeling his gaze darken and his hands flex, he wondered what he had gotten himself into…
Arwen
How scandalous could it be? Many a friend or even a family member or two had rolled eyes and whispered harshly about your performances, but Arwen was not afraid. No matter what it was said to be, she would experience it for it to be so in her mind. Thus she found herself in the audience of the very subject of contempt, the somewhat smaller ratio of maids to men not lost upon her. A great fount was all Arwen could see at the center of it all, at least until one bare leg slowly arched from its edge. Blinking, Arwen watched as it was followed by another, each of them kicking some water onto the crowd before your hands gripped the other side, flipping over to render most of your body visible. Hanging from the sides, you swiveled your hips, head innocently rested upon your folded arms as if your…ahem…rear end were not moving so. Sitting up, you let go, dropping back into the water with a splash before emerging again and grinningly tossing water on more patrons. Arwen found herself mirroring your expression, following your every motion with interest and a strange sense of elation.

A light wind—cool and already smelling of spring—whispered across the forests of Rivendell. The setting sun cast shadows as it dipped beneath the tree line, its slanting rays tinging the sky in vivid hues of orange and yellow, and gold. Filigree lamps came to life just before nightfall, their brilliant white light driving away the darkness. An elf started to sing, his song light and full of hope.
Someone knocked on the door, wanting entry into the chambers you shared with Elrond and Thranduil. "Come in," you said, moving away from the window.
The ellith that came in brought hot water for your bath, adding herbs, flowers, and sweet-smelling oils once they had filled the tub. The water was fragrant and hot, but not to the point of scalding. You only waited till the elf-maidens bowed and took their leave before stripping yourself of your silks and stepping into the tub to soak your weary bones. You closed your eyes, your sigh a mixture of contentment and relief.
Your entire body still ached, but you considered it a good ache. Thranduil and Elrond allowed you no respite the night before; their embraces left you exhausted and more than a little bruised. They were away all day, refusing to tell you where they were going.
It could not have been a hunt; it was still too early in the season for it. There was no call for a war party; most of the lands on both sides of the Misty Mountains had been purged of the creatures that had marched under Sauron’s banner. It was a complete mystery, really, but the twinkle in Thranduil’s eyes and the glare he received from Elrond convinced you that a surprise of some sort was in store. They would not return till after nightfall, they had said, giving you plenty of time to rest.
"Ah. There she is." Elrond called softly and walked in, silent as always. A small, neatly wrapped oil-skin parcel was in his hands. This he left on a table before coming up to the tub and pulling up a stool to sit beside you. "Indulging a little, are we?"
"Tending my aching bones, more like," you replied, your cheeks burning when you remembered the night before. Thranduil walked in, as silent as his companion. They had been garbed in velvet and silk, but you could not miss the hints of mail and armour beneath their robes. A force of habit, Thranduil once said, one they could not easily shake off. "Where did the two of you ride off to, my lord?"
"We cannot tell you." Elrond picked up a soft cloth square and dipped it in the water. "You will have to wait till the day of the spring festival to find out."
"The spring festival is still half a month away." You eyed the parcel, wondering what it was. The shape alone hinted at a box of some sort, but what lay within the box, on the other hand...
"No peaking, starlight." Thranduil had seated himself behind you, washing your hair for you.
"And if either of us finds you anywhere near it," Elrond added, running the cloth over your arm. "That box will be hidden till the day of the festival."
You narrowed your eyes; your plans were foiled. "I will find a way," you promised; "mark my words."
"We will put Lindir in charge of it then," Thranduil said.
"And I will be left with no choice but to threaten him with dwarves romping in the fountain again," you retorted merrily. "Gimli’s sons have a fondness for such larks, I am told. The knowledge of my wanting to invite them will loosen his tongue quickly enough."
Elrond could not help but roll his eyes. Thranduil chuckled as he continued to wash your hair. The water was still steaming and soothing to the skin. Elrond started to rub your arms, wincing when the first bruise came into view.
"Did we go too far last night?" He asked, already worried. Elrond thought of last night—of the things they had you do to them, the things you wanted them to do to you. You had been well satisfied by the time you gave in to true sleep, but worries about them both forgetting their own strength often plagued them.
"You did not," you promised. "Neither of you did. I give the both of you my word," you insisted, your wet hair tumbling across your eyes when you turned your head to look at Thranduil and found him to be as concerned as Elrond. "I am fine, truly."
The Elven lords reluctantly accepted your word. While Elrond continued to rub your arms and hands, Thranduil started to scrub your back. The moon had already risen, its silver light spilling through open windows and into the room used for baths. Elrond excused himself and went around the room, lighting candles. Just enough, to not ruin the magic of the moonlight. The wind had grown stronger, stirring new leaves on the trees. Somewhere far away, a wolf howled, making you shiver.
"Tis a normal wolf, starlight." Thranduil listened when slow, rising notes fell away in the end. "The beasts corrupted by Sauron are dead. They can torment no one now."
You nodded, still trembling when the rest of the pack joined the first, their calls echoing through the forests like a mournful dirge. "The both of you are spoiling me," you murmured when Thranduil picked up a brush and gently worked out the tangles in your hair. He had always enjoyed doing this, feeling your hair slip through his fingers, and it made you feel so pampered.
"You should be spoiled," Elrond rose and went in search of a robe. When he came back, he had one draped over his arm. "You are always so good to us, and you deserve no less."
By the time you were helped into your robe, your body was flushed and tingling. Thranduil ran the brush through your hair again, this time so he could braid it. Elrond rubbed a sweet-smelling ointment into your skin, his skilled healer’s hands slowly rubbing out the aches in your muscles. This was what he excelled at, and seeing you smile back was reward enough for him.
"Is there anything else you need, starlight?" Thranduil asked when an elf came in with a tray laden with fruit, cheese, and cold cuts of meat. "Anything at all?"
You eyed the oil-skin parcel again, your eyes bright with mischief. "How about leaving me alone with that box for a few moments?"
The "No!" that echoed through the room was all the answer you needed.

Throwback Thursday Sunday
Thank you @sallysavestheday for tagging me! Sorry I'm late!
Very soon (April 11th) will be the one year anniversary of The Haunting of Imladris, aka that turned my weird little eldritch!Maglor one-shot into a full series which I have come to adore. And, of course, it also introduced me to Lindir, who remains one of my favourite characters to write. So, to celebrate, here's a snippet:
Lord Elrond’s eyes drifted to the harp in Lindir’s hands. “That instrument…” Something like grief flickered in his eyes.
“My lord?”
“I have seen it before, long ago. After the War of Wrath, I thought it had been destroyed.” He shook his head, as though pushing a memory away. “May I ask where you found it?”
“I once again have Lady Galadriel to thank for it.” Lindir ran his fingers across the strings, sending a few sweet notes into the air. “She gifted it to me in thanks for a…memorably entertaining performance.”
“It must have been quite spectacular,” said Lord Elrond. “It belonged to one of her cousins, you know.”
“Yes.” Though Lindir couldn’t remember which one. Lady Galadriel had so many, and most of them were long dead, and their Sindar names always blended with the Quenya ones in his head. “She said it had been silent long enough and deserved to be played.”
“Lady Galadriel is very wise.” A stern faced elf brought them tea, and Lord Elrond paused to pour both Lindir and himself a cup. “May I ask what it was that you sang about? If your song could win such a gift, I would be curious to hear it myself.”
“Ah, it wasn’t memorable for the song, exactly.” Lindir blushed again, this time in embarrassment. “It wasn’t even my own composition.” Well, he’d have to admit to this failing eventually. Best to say it now instead of later. “I have a terrible memory for history. I can’t help it! There is far too much of it and all of the songs written - especially those from the First Age - are dreadfully boring. In my opinion, respectfully. But an old man came to visit Lothlórien - Gandalf, I think his name was? - and asked if I could sing about one of the famous elven smiths. The most famous smith, according to him, who lived in Valinor before the Two Trees were destroyed.”
“And you did not know the song?”
“I knew most of it,” said Lindir. He could not meet Lord Elrond’s eyes, the memory still a terrible shame. “But I kept getting the smith’s name wrong. For the whole song.” He still didn’t know what it was. Ferinor? Farrimir? Fingolfin?
“I see.” Lord Elrond, thankfully, did not laugh.
“Lady Galadriel still enjoyed it, though.” That had been the most important thing, and the only reason Lindir had not thrown himself into the sea. “She thought it was delightful and said that she hadn’t laughed so hard in ages, and that I deserved a reward for such a wonderful performance.”
Tagging: @dreamingthroughthenoise @chthonion @leucisticpuffin @lordgrimwing and @dovewifes No pressure of course!

Warriors Great Tales
Lindir x Reader
Word Count: 1.2K Warnings: None
Author's Note: I love this handsome, rather nervous elf. -Thorne
**********************************************************************
She’d kept to herself during the White Council’s meeting, preferring not to say a word in the presence of such high figures, not as though she’d had anything of importance to speak of, though she couldn’t help but watch Lady Galadriel every step she took. The elven woman walked, no, practically glided with such a grace, and she was beautiful—beyond words comprehension, beautiful. She’d decided that she couldn’t write a song because nothing could capture her in lyrical form.
Still, she’d kept to herself, busing her mind with journalling the latest in their adventures with the company. She hadn’t even noticed the talking had died down until she looked up when silence reached her, and Lindir appeared in the archway, a concerned look on his face.
“My Lord Elrond,” he said. “The dwarves…they’ve gone.”
She and Gandalf happened a look and she innocently replied, “Oh, no…they left? Well, that’s unfortunate.” Gandalf shot her a glare and she cleared her throat, going quiet again.
Elrond sighed, looking back at Lindir. “Lindir, take our songstress to the evening room. We have a conversation that is needing with Mithrandir.”
Lindir bowed his head. “Yes, My Lord.” He glanced over at her, and she rose from her seat.
As she passed Gandalf, she murmured, “Don’t leave without me.”
***
She entered the room that Lindir showed her to, a gorgeous little awning with ivy growing along the marble ceiling and pillars. She took a seat on one of the padded chairs beside a small table, Lindir sitting across from her.
“You knew they were leaving?” he asked, and she met his gaze, sighing.
“Gandalf didn’t explicitly tell me they were, but I sure expected it was coming.” She frowned. “I worry when Gandalf and I are not there. Who knows what trouble they will get into without us.”
Lindir blinked. “Might I ask why you joined this company in the first place?”
A smile grew on her lips, and she leaned back, staring at the moon high in the sky. “What good is life if you there are no tales to tell? No daring escapes? No riches found or love gained?” looking at him, she added, “I think this is the most excitement Rivendell has seen in a long time. I wish for my life to be like this every moment. Joy, laughter, fun.”
“Don’t you want safety?”
“Well sure,” she replied. “When I’m old and gray. But I’m a young woman.” She sighed wistfully. “I know it might be hard for an elf to understand the concept of mortality, but Lindir, my life is finite. At some point I will die. But even so, I want to live all that I can, see and do all that I can. Even if it means there is sorrow and grief. It is a part of being alive.”
Lindir paused, taking in her peacefulness. “Are you afraid?”
“Of?”
“Mortality?”
She shrugged. “I think fearing your death is natural, but what’s the point of spending my life fretting over the inevitable? I’m going to die one day. It may be tomorrow. It may be in ninety-seven years. All I know is that I will live everyday as if I will die then.”
He hummed low in his throat, looking over Rivendell. “I’ve never actually left Rivendell before.”
“Not once?”
“Whenever Lord Elrond makes trips, the rare ones, he takes Erestor. I…stay here.”
Her brows pinched together, and she asked, “Haven’t you ever had a desire to go somewhere other than here? Just to see what the world is like?”
Lindir hesitated for a moment, then he nodded. “Sometimes.” His cheeks darkened in the night. “But…I’m not exactly built for battle. I mean I can fight,” he hurriedly interjected, as if he wanted to appear fit for a fight to her. “But weaponry is not my best ability.”
She smiled and gently picked up the seat she was sitting in, walking it over to sit beside Lindir. “We,” she said as she lowered the seat and settled back in it, tucking her legs underneath her. “Are the writers of our warrior’s great tales, Lindir. While we don’t fight those battles, we make sure they live on forever.”
He was suddenly very conscious of how close she was, what he was more conscious of was that he could feel the warmth radiating from her onto him as close as they were. “O-oh?”
“Of course!” she chirped. “We can’t all be fighters.” Nudging him, she quipped, “Some of us must be lovers.”
Lindir practically spluttered, cheeks turning crimson as he looked at her, then between them, then towards the tops of the other buildings. “I—I see.”
And that gave her a hint as she leaned over, perching her palm on her chin as she asked, “Lindir, have you never been intimate with someone?”
“I am feeling very uncomfortable right now,” he muttered. She smiled knowingly at him, and he frowned. “Why are you smiling?”
“You’ve never lain with anyone, have you, Lindir?”
“This is not an appropriate conversation for a young man and woman to be having. Not an appropriate conversation in the slightest.”
“I won’t tell secrets if you won’t,” she teased and he looked away, clearing his throat.
“Elves, we…do not take union so lightly.” He shifted nervously in his seat. “It is…customary, to save oneself for marriage.”
“A bit pious,” she decided, gently trailing her fingers up the inside of his sleeve, against his wrist; she grinned when his fist clenched, and he looked ready to collapse. “And these marriages, of course to remain faithful to your lover forever and ever even after death. To hold true all that is good and stay during sickness…” Lindir was nodding along when she asked, “Can humans marry elves?”
He went still and blinked a few times as her fingers stopped their tracings; Lindir looked at her. “It is…uncommon, but yes.”
She smiled, eyes crinkling around the edges. “Lindir, you wouldn’t happen to have a young elf lover running around Rivendell or any other part of the land, would you?”
He shook his head quietly.
“Well…I’m unwed, you’re unwed. Perhaps we sho—”
The doors opened on the side and the two jumped as Gandalf entered the room. “Lord Elrond has summoned the two of you. Well, you,” he corrected, looking at her. “Lindir is simply to follow.”
She hummed and put her feet on the ground, intent to stand when she suddenly felt how tingly her legs were—and how numb. She let out a gasp as she stood and immediately went hurtling for the floor, when strong, slender arms wrapped themselves around her back and waist, and her breath caught in her throat as she came face to face with a rather surprised, yet flustered Lindir. Her arm wound around his shoulders, the other grasping at his bicep and she gazed at him.
“I…thank you, Lindir,” she breathed.
He swallowed thickly and murmured, “Of course, meleth nîn.”
“…I don’t know what that means, Lindir,” she whispered, and he smiled at her.
“You will learn one day.”
As they gazed at one another, someone cleared their throat with great exaggeration and, “If you two are quite finished?”
Lindir pulled her upright and they split, her cheeks hot as Gandalf turned on his heel and she hurried after him, Lindir following. She knew though, that Gandalf had a grin the size of the Misty Mountain range on his face.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Tagged by: @zealouswerewolfcollector @melestasflight & @niennawept - thanks guys!!!!
Under the cut for length.
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
43 total. 26 on my reg runawaymun account, and 17 spicy works under spicy_runawaymun.
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count?
466,324. Geez.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently just Tolkien. Mostly focusing on early third age and late second age. I used to write for Stargate and Doctor Who but that was like ten years ago.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
To Partake - 842 kudos - Longfic in progress. Elrond/Celebrimbor set in the second age, based loosely off The Rings of Power but it's really gone off the rails now because I didn't like some choices in the show and am trying to fix them haha. Show knowledge is honestly not needed because I stop following it after like the seventh chapter. Mostly an Elrond character study disguised as porn.
And the Stars Shine the Same - 695 kudos - Longfic, complete. a look at early third age Rivendell as told by two kids from proto-Rohan who get adopted into Elrond's family out of harsh and traumatic circumstances.
Beneath a Boundless Sky - 520 kudos - longfic and in progress. Sequel to above. Much wider scope. Dealing with the politics of proto-Rohan and exploring Fram's rise to power, while also keeping a firm focus on Elrond, his relationship with Maglor, and his relationship with his family. Oh yeah, and there's an eldritch monster in the mix (one that isn't Elrond that is!)
A Gown Spun from Starlight - 400 kudos - Thranduil x Reader insert oneshot. Mostly fluff.
Supine - 358 kudos - exploratory kidnap fam multi shot. Mostly Maedhros-centric.
Tinúvion - 289 kudos - Oneshot. Elrond and Sauron meet and hiss at each other and fight over Gil-Galad for 1972 words. Sauron shits his pants. Transitive property Luthien-Elrond.
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Sometimes often my spoons are low so I am not always as fast as I like. But I endeavor to respond to everybody!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ohhhhh. Let me think, here. Probably That We Are Still - in which Elrond has a foresight nightmare about Cel's death and they have sex about it, which fixes nothing.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of them have happy endings, because I love happy endings and I've written a good deal of fluff! I think And the Stars Shine the Same has the happiest/most satisfying ending, though. But it's an unfair comparison because it's a longfic. But Never Doubt I Love (Russingon) has a happy/bittersweet ending that's one of my favs. And Equinox (Elrond and Lindir's first meeting) is just pure sugar haha.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not that I recall, honestly. Hopefully it stays that way. I've gotten one or two slightly homophobic comments but I believe the commenter meant well. It was a weird experience.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes! I find exploring how characters are sexual really really fascinating. It's like a microcosm of everything -- of their relationships, of their trauma, of their securities and insecurities. It's so interesting and fun! And especially the journeys that characters can take sexually, learning to open up and explore :) it's very rewarding. All of that is over on my spicy account. It's nearly exclusively Celrond but there's a few others in there.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I've written a few, but none on AO3. My favorite was one I wrote a long time ago where SG-1 (Stargate SG-1) got into a tangled up mission with the Eleventh Doctor and River. I also do a lot of daydreaming and play in my free time imagining my OCs from my original works winding up in middle earth. :)
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I've had someone offer but if it wound up happening, I wasn't tagged, so I am not sure! But receiving the offer was very nice <3
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not any of the ones posted to AO3, but @the-commonplace-book and I have collaborated on a lot of work together! I'm always open to collaboration. It's so much fun.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
CELROND CELROND CELROND. Though Brimbrond is becoming a close contender now!
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
All of them, really. I try not to doubt I will finish things and just trust my process. I am a naturally slow writer who's a perfectionist and tends to hop from project to project, which is why I focus myself on one or two longfics at most, and I just let the others percolate in outline form until I finish something. I used to not finish things ever and it drove me crazy, so I try my best to stay focused so that things will always get finished in their due time.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Prose. Action and horror. Long character arcs -- especially the unfolding of characters who are recovering from traumatic experiences. I have a pattern haha.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Descriptions of settings and characters (I know what they look like in my head and have to actively remind myself that this image isn't downloaded into someone's brain). Politics and schemes. And IMO I am not good at twisty plots. I tend to write pretty linear progressions with few unexpected surprises.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic.
I like peppering individual words here and there, or perhaps small phrases. Pet names, absolutely. But nothing more than that. IMO adding in language can really help ground a story in the worldbuilding.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Funnily enough, Tolkien. When I was a kid I set out to rewrite the entire books just from Merry and Pippin's perspectives. I did not get very far.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
I think it's honest to god And the Stars Shine the Same. I am obviously fond of To Partake, but Stars just is in its own special category for me. It came to me at the exact right time in my life when I really needed it. It's a very personal story, and it revived my love of writing and reminded me why I liked doing it.
I am rather late to this and I am not sure who has been tagged and who hasn't, so forgive me if I tag someone who has already done this! But no pressure tags for: @emyn-arnens @jaz-the-bard @lordgrimwing @greyjedijaneite @maglor-my-beloved and whomever else would like to participate!

Request Rules
Requests are open!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Tumblr media
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
♡ only x reader, fics and hc ( and I will only write for fem reader or gn reader, since I indentify as she/her and thats why I'm most comfortable with that, when it comes to NSFW content only fem reader )
♡ I have nothing against people who love Rings of Power, but I haven't watched the show so far, so I won't write for it (maybe I will once I watched it though)
♡ I write SFW and NSFW ( but I will NOT include anything problematic )
♡ I also won't include anything that breaks a character unnecessarily ( angst is obviously fine though )
♡ Sometimes I may be more motivated to write my own ideas or won't feel like writing at all, so it can take a LONG time until I finish something
♡ If a request makes me uncomfortable or I just don't really like it, I will just ignore it
♡ You have to tell me if you want headcanons or one shots (I won't write multi chapter fics), otherwise I will decide

20 questions for fic writers
Thanks for the tag @lindirs-gaze!
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
78
2. what’s your total ao3 word count?
1,216,174
3. what fandoms do you write for?
My current hyperfixation is The Untamed/Modao Zushi, but I write for whatever. I've got a lot of one shots for properties I think are neat like Welcome to Nightvale or Parks and Rec.
4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?
A Passion for Mushrooms, Mountain Flowers, The Seedling, Family's Just Another Word for Something Left To Lose, and In Town for the Wedding. Four in Hobbit/LotR fandom and one Naruto.
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
I really try to. I appreciate feedback so much. When I'm in a funk it really brightens my mood, so I want to respond and build community with readers not just drop a story. And sometimes I go months without checking my inbox which makes me feel awkward about replying. It's a mix.
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Interestingly, Family's Just Another Word For Something Left To Lose, according to some readers. It's ambiguous at the end and *a lot* of people think Kakashi dies, which is not at all my intent. I was paralleling the same scene with Iruka in the anime, and Iruka survives. It did not occur to me that the ambiguity would be what so many people took away.
The one I wrote that's intentionally angsty at the end is all i hear is your gear, which has no happy intentions and is all just about Crowley being a demon in hell.
7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
So much of my stuff is romance with a traditional HEA ending, but weirdly the ending I like most is A Spy in the Shire. It's a happy ending for this one oc dwarf, but in the broader context of the series I think it both emphasizes the Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies AU happiness as well as justifying the many sacrifices made in canon.
8. do you get hate on any fics?
yeah for sure. And I am sensitive about it. If it hits me when I'm already feeling low, I usually have to stay away from fandom spaces for a while and I often lose the motivation to write at all. It sucks. Some of it I can brush off more easily, like the Iruka/Kakashi shippers who come onto my fic to make fun of the way Mighty Guy looks and try to pick a fight. They are likely children and I just don't engage. But the people who criticize my writing or a specific story for reasons they are happy to detail can be harder to ignore.
This is of course a very different thing than the helpful folks who point out that I've once again mixed up desert and dessert. Y'all are lovely and I appreciate the help.
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
Yes, as the mood strikes. ...the kind I'm in the mood for? Almost always romantic stuff between a major pairing.
10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Listen. Ron Swanson and Wolverine would be very good friends, actually. My Parks and Rec / X-men crossover is not crazy.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! One of my Naruto fics is available in Chinese and two of my Modao Zushi stories can be read in Russian. As I speak neither language, I can only assume the translators did an awesome job of making my writing smarter, funnier, and sexier than it is in English.
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, but I find the idea of collaborating interesting.
14. what’s your all time favorite ship?
This is not how my brain works. I pretty much constantly have a Current Obsession and then pairings I still enjoy. Right now, Wangxian invented love, but I'll always enjoy revisiting a certain romance involving Mister Spock or the Leverage Pretzels and Beer OT3.
15. what’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I desperately want to finish my Zombie Criminal Minds series, particularly because being able to revisit it will mark the end of my pandemic / outbreak related brain gremlins.
16. what are your writing strengths?
speling
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
I'd like to do more with humor. I feel like I frequently manage to provoke a sensible chuckle, but I've read fics that make me crack up. Someday, I'd like to write a really Terry Pratchett style laugh-a-minute story.
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Sometimes you gotta do it, because it's in keeping with the canon, but it's always best to do sparingly. If it's longer than a greeting or an honorific, I like to translate directly within the narrative or use a footnote.
19. first fandom you wrote for?
Slayers. Yes, I was that anime kid in high school.
20. favorite fic you’ve written?
My favorite child? Well, I've never really cared for Pit Stop...
I suppose, back against a wall, I enjoy the world building in None So Blind. We just don't spend enough time in dwarven spaces that aren't complete ruins in the canon. Coupled with thoughts on fantasy accessibility and the classic trope of tripping a romantic lead into a pile of literal pig shit, I just like it. Good work, 2018!me.
If you'd like to play, please pretend I tagged you! For the meme, I'll invite @youhideastar, @primtheamazing, and @sunshine304

Scales and Freckles
Summary: Lindir Fluff with Dragonshifter Reader
Pairing: Lindir x Male!Reader
Tumblr media
Lindir hummed as he ran his hand over the scales on your shoulder he did it gently careful not to wake you, he knew better than to wake a sleeping dragon, especially one who would crush him in a hug and not let him escape if he were to wake you at the moment, he lay on your chest, you arms draped haphazardly over his waist, even if you where half Dragon you still had their tendencies.
Lindir always enjoyed touching your scales, Your scales were smooth and pleasant to touch at least that was what Lindir found, you always had a raised body temperature compared to him, it was nice in winter but a pain in summer as you surprised hugged him and he would grow 10 times hotter.
Dragons were heavy sleepers and you were no different, you could also fall asleep anywhere, you fell asleep once when Glorfindel attempted to play the harp in the hall of fire which didn’t end well he sounded like a dying pig but after his horrifyingly terrible performance Lindir had noticed your grip around his waist had tightened and you were asleep, making his performance be suspended until you woke up which wasn’t even soon.
His hand slid to your hip and traced his hand over the scales on them you groaned in pleasure as a response yet you were still asleep, or were you really because the next thing Lindir knew he was down on the bed with you over him a large smirk plastered on your face, the Elf blushed having been caught in his actions, he half expected to be crushed in a hug from which he could move in, but you did something entirely unexpected.
You managed to slip Lindirs shirt off and you buried yourself in his neck Lindir shivered as you kissed down it, but he also realized you were kissing each one of his freckles, elves rarely had imperfections like having heterochromia, Legolas had it admittedly it was central heterochromia but still he didn’t get teased but Lindir who had Freckles which is also extremely rare and considered an imperfection to elves did, but then again Legolas was a prince and Thranduil would act harsh on anyone who did and Lindir was a simple servant to his Lord.
Lindir had noticed you had pulled away from him and tilted your head like a dog at him he smiled and wrapped his arms around your neck you took it as a signal to continue, while some people teased him, he had a dragon to worship his body like you where doing at the moment, Lindir had overheard many a time about the jealous elleths and ellons who wanted his dragon but he knew you wouldn’t go anywhere, Dragons were loyal to there mates although Dragon mating is different to Elvish mating and you both were a very odd couple a Dragon and an elf nobody would have thought the two races where compatible.
“I Love you Lindir” you hmmed against him as he haphazardly stroked your hair you shot back up to face him making the Ellon jump slightly to see your over  dramatic face in his, you and Glorfindel shared a lot in common and you're tased in mates was not that different to each other's.
You lowered yourself onto your forearms and kissed the tip of his pointed ear, as soon as you had started courting you had found all of Lindir’s weak spots his freckles and his ears being one you use commonly that or his neck but that was often covered with his clothes just like his thighs.
Lindir pushed your shoulders back, and you tilted your head at him again in confusion “I need to get dressed for the day” Lindir said he was however caught in a crushing hug Lindir blushed and tried to push you back enough so he could wiggle out but he could not as he did not have the strength you were very much stronger than him in every way Lindir sighed he knew he would have to wait for Lord Elrond to realizes and then find him, you listened to the Lord more than you listened to your mate in matters like these, so Lindir would just have to wait with the perfect view of your face and you would peck kisses all over his face in the meantime.

I’m a bit late to the party, but thank you SO much for answering me super fast! I so appreciate your ultra-in-depth response about Mirion and Arvellas’s fates. Although I still weep on weekends, it’s helped me so much with my own story! And all the supplemental headcanon info on Mirkwood as a society has been invaluable to me as well! (Also thank you so much for your update on my Lindir fic! Please don’t worry about the length of time! When I submitted the request I shot for maybe having it as a Christmas present or New Year’s treat! But any time I receive it l’ll savor it all the same!)
I wanted to ask though, are there any writing exercises or prompts that you do to train your writing muscles? I find that I have a tougher time placing dialogue intentionally where it needs to be, and I struggle with showing, not telling. I plan my stories and chapters, which helps me a TON, but I still have issues. I’m coming back to writing after abandoning it in about 2018 because of uni and life. But now I wanna come back, which is why I’m writing my story, but I feel so rusty. Any tips/suggestions on how/what to write to improve on these skills?
Thank you so much for all your help. I really appreciate you. Your account’s richer than the mines of Moria for great writing content!
- Mithril
Hello Mirthril my friend!
Boy, am I glad I was able to answer your Ask quickly last time, because this one is laaaaate. I hope you'll forgive me that, but I have been pondering over your question since I received it.
My impostor syndrome tends to rear its ugly head whenever someone asks me for writing advice. I am against false modesty and all for giving oneself due credit, so I will say that I am a pretty damn good writer. (And I certainly hope so; I suck at math and most left-brain skills, so this is all I've got, haha!) However, I wouldn't call myself top-tier in the fanfic writer's world. Even though I have been doing this for many years, I still struggle with any aspects of my writing--in the same ways you described!
But you asked so kindly and I want to be able to offer you something, so here are the few tips I could think of that personally work for me, in addressing the challenges you described:
SotWK's Writing Strategies and Tips
Writing exercises or prompts
I actually suffer from having too many ideas, so I don't seek or invite new prompts often. I lean on the endless stream of wackadoo ideas in my brain, or the lovely suggestions and requests that come into my (always open) Ask Box.
I exercise things that I'm weakest at, and right now that's my speed and focus. I currently write at an abysmal 6-7 wpm (about 200 words every 30 minutes). Embarrassingly slow! I very recently discovered sprinting on Discord servers, and so far it's been effective in training me to focus on just getting words down as quickly as I can. I highly recommend it! I think with time it will gradually bump up my wpm.
If you really would like prompts to get you going, there are plenty of prompt games floating around the Tolkien fandom. You can also source them from writing groups, such as @fellowshipofthefics, the one I currently belong to. Their January Trope Roulette, for example, is so much fun! Amazing support group for Tolkien writers, and more importantly--very chill, no pressure.
Dialogue
This is tricky for everyone, and definitely exposes a writer's style and ability to speak in the voice of different characters (I think that's why writers stress about it). You gotta do it with accuracy and range, so it IS a challenge!
If you want to get as close to the characters' voices as Tolkien wrote them, then the obvious strategy seems to be to immerse yourself in the source material. Read the books. Watch the movies (which are pretty faithful, tone/dialogue wise).
When writing Tolkien fanfic, I am constantly browsing through my books (having ebook copies helps), playing the trilogies in the background, or listening to the audiobooks (I have the Andy Serkis versions). It's a little bit like method acting. If you drown yourself in the character's voices enough, you'll actually start talking like them in your head. You'll pick up on the language, the word choices, the pace of the dialogue within the story.
This is the reason I personally don't hop around fandoms (Tolkien only), and I stay away from modern AUs or crack fics. I prefer to preserve that Middle-earth tone and voice and keep it consistent in my writings.
You can also draw inspiration from other period/medieval/fantasy works! My frequent go-to's are ASOIAF/Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon, Pride and Prejudice, and even Downtown Abbey works!
This last one might be extra weird, but I am a writer who leans heavily on fancasts/actors for inspiration. I like seeing a clear face and hearing a distinct voice for the character I am writing. It truly helps me write dialogue. For this reason, I fancast every major character that appears in my fics, and I usually pick big-name actors. Why? Because they have more movies/tv shows I can watch and listen to!
Fun fact: While writing my Éomer fic (which was VERY dialogue heavy), I listened to the first 7 minutes of Dredd SO MANY TIMES over and over just to imbibe Karl Urban's voice--I'm surprised the Netflix app didn't crash.
Tumblr media
Showing, not telling
Here's one thing to try: Use "said" or "said + adverb" more often than you think you should, instead of trying to force a substitute. Or don't use a speech verb at all. This will force you to get a bit more descriptive about the characters' specific condition or actions. (Example from my fic: “Anywhere. Far enough to take you away from all this--” Éomer swung out his free arm in a gesture as wild as the fervor in his eyes. “Away from everything that is confusing you.”)
Visualizing a clear picture in my head helps me with the showing, and writing descriptions. Besides daydreaming and staring off into space, watch cinematic masterpieces, and train yourself to use words to describe what you are seeing.
But personally, I think purple prose and lack of brevity is the bigger issue in many fanfics (including my own). We need to remember there's nothing wrong with being straightforward in our storytelling and descriptions, because it speeds up the story pace or at least gives it more variety.
Shaking off Rust
Nothing else to do but just do it, my friend! :)
Whenever I feel rusty or blah about my current projects, I just shuffle over to a different WIP, or if it's really bad--start a new one!
As long as you're getting words down and you're happy and satisfied, you're doing it right.
Lean on writing friends for help and inspiration. We are a community here, regardless of the whisperings that "fandom is dying". It will stay alive and thriving if we keep it so!
Anyway, that's my non-professional, semi-bogus advice regarding things that work for me! Hopefully you can find something in there that works for you too.
Thank you as always for your kind words, and I wish you the best of luck--and LOTS OF FUN--in your writing!

                        My Loyal Servant
Tumblr media
Lindir x elf! fem reader
I do not own the gifs used
One-shot
warning: angst, slight smut _ Minors DNI !!!
backstory: You are one of Elrond's daughters who met Lindir during your 'teenage' years and now you are both adult elves.
[y/n pov]
" princess." I turned around to come face to face with yet another suitor that my father has chosen for me.Prince Legolas of Mirkwood .
" yes ?" I looked up at him, I had been staring off into the beautiful view of the many mountains surrounding us and the breathtaking sun set.
" I do not wish to marry anyone, you are very beautiful but-"
" I know Prince Legolas, I know you wish to explore and do nothing more than to find your own path, I... I want to follow my own path as well."
" Then why don't you join me ? Perhaps you may discover a warm hearth of your own."
" No, I found mine, but alas my father does not approve."
He looked into the distance staring at the same sunset I had found myself lost in," I was once the same, loved someone who my father did not approve. "
" What happened to them ?"
" They loved another..."
" I'm sorry."
He smiled and nodded before getting up and bowing." I will be taking my leave princess."
I simply smiled and stayed seated. Will I lose the one I love as well ?
" my lady ?" I look up to see the one person who brightens up my world, Lindir.
" yes Lindir ?" I asked, " Your father requests to see you."
I smiled and got up, Lindir offered his arm and escorted me to the beautiful gardens, there my father was sitting enjoying a cup of tea.
" You wished to speak to me father ?" I asked.
He stood and offered the seat next to him and nodded towards Lindir, causing him to leave.
" We have much to speak about my dear."
I sat next to my father on the bench and asked," What are we going to speak about ?"
" Your marriage to Prince Legolas."
" Father.... I think Legolas and I are not suited for one another."
" Nonsense ! You two are perfect, both are high elves from esteemed families."
" I-Father, I love someone else."
" You do not know what love is, you are infatuated with someone else, but once you marry Legolas that infatuation will disappear. "
" B-but father... I know its love."
" Do not speak back to me ! It has been settled that you will marry Legolas !"
" Arwen was able to marry Aragorn ! Why can I not choose who I wish to marry ?!"
" And Arwen will pay the consequences with her own life, she chose the path of a human."
" But father- he is not hu-"
" Lindir will no longer be your personal servant, he will move elsewhere in the palace."
" BUT FATH-"
" No buts!" he got up and quickly walked away as I clenched my fists, How could this happen ? How did he know ?
I felt the tears slip out as I stared into the garden ahead of me, remembering the countless Times that I sat here with Lindir wishing to run away together.
Why does he not let me choose my own path ?
" Princess?"
That sweet voice, I turned to see a concerned Lindir. I sniffed and tried wiping my tears and threw on a smile," He knows ."
He looked at me," I know."
" How ?" I asked. He looked down," Because I told him."
My eyes widened as I looked straight into his eyes," Why ?!"
" Beca-because I no longer love you."
I looked him straight into his eyes, hoping to see his true emotions, but all I saw was coldness, nothing but venom.
I shook my head and walked away. Once I felt the distance I began to run away into my bedroom and threw myself onto my bed.
It seemed like everything was being destroyed, how could he not love me after he had told me I reminded him of the beautiful stars in the night sky. With determination I sat up and walked out making my way towards the servant quarters.
Once I made it to his room I did not knock, my anger blinded me as I walked in," I will not-"
I was cut off at the screaming and scuffling, before me was Lindir, his bare chest in full view, he was changing his clothing.
" Princess-"
I cut him off," Silence, do not speak but listen. I- You are a horrible person Lindir, you lull me with such sweet and kind words, tell me you loved me and gave me my first kiss, yet suddenly you decide that you no longer love me anymore ?! Why have you played with my heart ? Do my feelings not matter ?!" I was waving my arms, my anger was beginning to sizzle into sadness.
"I.. Please princess do not make me do this."
" Do what ?!"
" You deserve to be with someone of the same standing, someone grand, someone who can buy you everything your beautiful heart desires, the finest silks for a beautiful face and body, all the books for the most brilliant mind. I can not offer that, I am simply a Servant."
" When are you going to get through you thick skull that I do not want nor need that ! I love you and I always chose you." I Yelled out, my chest puffing as I was trying to catch my breath from yelling and clenching my fists against my robes.
He did not utter a word until I turned around and said," so be it, I will Marry Legolas, he will love me, kiss me, make sweet love to-"
I was cut short as he pushed me against the wall, his bare chest pressing against my back," do...do not utter such words." he growled.
"why does it bother you? You already told me that you do not love me anymore." I felt the tears fall from my eyes as I looked into Lindir's," Am I so easily disposable to you ?" I felt my voice break.
He grabbed my cheeks and pulled my face into a long and -passionate kiss, " You could never be disposed of, you're the love of my life, but you know we can not be together."
I looked down at my feet, he was right, my father will only send Lindir away and I would still be forced to wed Prince Legolas and move into Mirkwood.
" Please, can we be together for one more night ?" I looked back up as I pleaded, knowing this would truly be the last time we would see one another as lovers. He placed his forehead against mine as he whispered, " as you wish my love."
Tumblr media
I had finally retreated back into my quarters after I had spent the day avoiding my father and acting normal with the new maid at my side. She had finally left me alone and I stood staring outside of my window at the beautiful stars. How cruel was this life that I could not even spend it with the one that I love ?
I heard a very quiet knock, I got up and opened the door quietly to see Lindir. He quickly latched his lips against mine and closed the door behind him. We fell atop of my bed and continued kissing.
His touch felt like electricity on my skin as we both undressed one another. The moon was illuminating the room as the small candle in the corner of my bedroom was slowly dimming itself.
The thought itself of letting go brought more tears to my eyes and down my cheeks. He looked at me lovingly and kissed my tears away and whispered endless 'I love you' to me.
He left a trail of kisses from my jaw down towards the valley of mu breasts, leaving marks on them and abusing the skin. Knowing it was the last time we could have these moments I gripped the bed sheets under me tighter trying to surpass these thoughts as he whispered," just focus on me, my love, It's just us and no one else. "
I looked into his eyes and nodded and placed both of my legs atop of his shoulder and he placed kisses between my lips. He slowly began to drag his tongue between them placing pressure on my clit as he rubbed the outside of my needy hole. I found myself becoming wetter by the second as he inserted a finger into it and continued to suck and abuse my cunt. I felt euphoria. It was just us and no one else.
" Come undone my love, I am here to savor every moment of it."
And I did come undone as I gripped the bedsheets and moaned, secretly hoping no one could hear the lewd noises coming out of my being.
He then came back up and kissed my lips and held me in his arms.
" Please let me in."
I felt him slowly coming inside me, the pain was excruciating, but nothing could compare to the pain I will feel after this night is over. We became one as he held my hands and began thrusting, He never once stopped kissing me, I felt his tears fall onto my face, the saltiness mixing into the kiss.
The moon was bright, illuminating our sweaty bodies, the candle died. He pulled out and laid on my chest after we both reached ecstasy, basking in each others warmth.
He cried into my chest, I felt pain in my chest as I stoked his hair. He kissed my forehead, cheeks, then lips.
" I am so sorry my love, I would do anything just to be with you." I felt myself whimper and hug him close, " Lindir...I don't want to leave you."
" I know my love.."
.
.
.
That did not stop him from leaving my room in the middle of the night. There I was.... laying in my bed, despite the many furs covering my skin, I still could feel the cold.
perhaps in another life we can meet again....
AN: Sorry I kinda lost sight of this story, so apologies if its a little messy.

Starting from the 10th, and ending on the 21st, each day will have fan art, headcanon, fanfics and a poem. Posts have been scheduled for 9.00 pm, Sri Lankan time. Links will be added after each post.
Day 1   : Art- Barad-Dúr

Writing Patterns
Thank you @starsuncounted for tagging me! Here are the first lines of my last ten fics. I went with the opening lines for first chapter in my longfics ones since I was curious if there was any difference in how I started those compared to how I started my one-shots.
1 For Want of a Crown (ch 1) "Fëanáro did not think that Nerdanel would come." Silmarillion - M - So. Many. Characters!
2 Reforged (ch 1) "Maeglin did not die, though he would not realize it until years and years later." Silmarillion - G - Maeglin, Celebrimbor and others
3 Those That Remain (ch 1) "Novembers could be an awful month when they put their mind to it and this one, thought Daeron, was in the running for being the worst." Silmarillion - G - Daeron, Maglor, Lindir
4 The Price We Pay “One little bird on a roof in Tirion…” Silmarillion - M - Maglor, Maedhros, Fingon
5 A Flame Among the Ice "Before Indis had ruined his childhood, little Fëanáro would sit beside his father and demand stories of the crossing every night before bed." Silmarillion - G - Fëanor and many others
6 Soft-Shelled Soul "At first, Maedhros thought he lingered in Irmo’s realm." Silmarillion - G - Maedhros, Crablor
7 Flickers in the Dark (ch 1) "Being dead felt a lot like floating in water." Silmarillion - G - Gil-Galad and many others
8 The Conditions of Existence "Performing surgery on one’s soul was not a pleasant process." Silmarillion - G - Annatar, Celebrimbor, Sauron
9 Life in Miniature "They’d been drunk when Turgon first suggested the plan, not realizing how such a simple idea would grow and consume his life." Silmarillion - G - Turgon and many others
10 Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark "The four of them met by chance at the Prancing Pony." Silmarillion - G - Maglor, Aragorn, and some unlucky OCs
I seem to like setting up the story with shorter exposition lines, getting as quickly as I can to the main focus of the fic. Most of these also come from the main POV character of the story, so that way the readers know who the story will be focusing on. Also, a lot of setting up an expectation a character has only for it to be countered in the following sentences.
This was fun! Tagging: @dreamingthroughthenoise @echo-bleu @lordgrimwing @arofili @aroace-moron @whovianofmidgard @camille-lachenille and whoever else wants to join in. No pressure!

Would you write for ships?
Yes! Nothing incestuous {that includes thorki} or with questionable dynamics/age differences {e.g tony stark and peter parker} though.
Even if it's an obscure ship or a rare pare such as Loki and Bucky or something like that I'm willing to give it a go.
I will write ships for all the fandoms I have in my Bio.
Do you write x readers?
Yes! If you don't specify what gender you'd like them to be for, I will always go for completely neutral {Please message me if you notice any slip-ups that give the reader a gender identity in these fics!}
I'll happily write for Cis men, Nonbinary{transmasc or transfem}, Agender, Genderfluid, Transmen, or any other identity you'd like to be written about.
However, I don't feel comfortable writing Female readers, my apologies.
When requesting a trans reader, please specify things that you want to be mentioned such as does the reader wear a binder, have top surgery, or neither? Bottom surgery? Hormone therapy? etc... If any of these aren't specified I will do my best to keep the language either neutral or on the more masculine side for Transmasc or Transman readers {E.G referring to the genitalia as a dick in smut fics if needed whether they have surgery or not}
What kinds of things can I ask for in smutfics?
Im open to writing most kinks.
I WONT WRITE {more things to be added as time goes on}

I will not write the use of slurs during sexual interactions

Of course! Just request a nickname or emoji/symbol to be used for you and Ill add you to a list I have to make sure only one person has that nickname.
Taken sign offs - 💚

This is rather long, but it's one of my favorite little group interactions in And the Stars Shine the Same :) I just love writing banter between Thranduil and Elrond, and letting Galadriel get in on the teasing, too! Elrond's just so easy to fluster :D
Routine conversation was had while they all ate. Celebrían and Lady Galadriel devolved into news of Lord Celeborn and many of Celebrían’s friends who were still in Lothlórien. Elrond took the opportunity to turn to Thranduil and say:
“I want to apologize for my sons’ behavior while they were in your hall.”
Thranduil waved it off. “Nothing that I would not expect from your four-legged plague. Fear not. They received their due recompense for their actions.”
Elrond’s mouth curled into a smile. “Ah yes. The leeches. Rather creative on your part.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Elrond. It wounds me that you think I would do something so base.” Thranduil replied coldly, though his expression belied amusement.
“Of course not,” Thranduil sniffed. “They were placed there deliberately, but not as a prank. It is a fashion these days. Improves the flavor. I cannot expect you to have any experience with such things. You are so dreadfully behind the times, as usual.”
Thranduil had hardly spared him a glance through most of breakfast, but now Elrond felt him studying him, squinting. He caught the king’s eye and frowned.
“What?”
“Are you aware that your ears are bruising? Rather impressive bite mark, I must say.”
Elrond flushed red. “I hadn’t noticed.”
Thranduil hummed into his teacup. “Blush as prettily as you like. It doesn’t help them blend in any better. You may wish to consider wearing your hair a bit...differently. Though I suppose your wife rather likes the look of her handiwork. No--” he put a hand on Elrond’s arm. “Do not rush out, mellon nín. T’would draw far too much attention. Celebrían!”
Celebrían looked up from mid conversation with her mother. Elrond shielded his very pink face in one hand.
“You must be more careful with your poor husband. Peredhel skin bruises more easily, I think.”
Elrond could just fade from shame. He felt sure Galadriel was hiding a choked laugh in her cup. Celebrían shot Thranduil a knife-sharp glare. Thranduil reclined in his chair with a smug smirk and gave one of Elrond’s uniquely-shaped ears a fond tug.
“Oh, stop turning so pink, Peredhel,” Galadriel said. She nudged Celebrían in the shoulder. “You have always liked his ears.”
Celebrían let out a cry of pure outrage. “ Amya! Please!”
“It was all she could talk about during your betrothal.”
When Lindir came running up to the dais with some announcement, Elrond had never been more glad to see him.
“My lord, we have just received word from the outer borders of the Valley. Lord Glorfindel has returned and he will be at the gates soon.”
Before anyone else could even react, Erestor launched himself out of his chair and flew out of the Hall of Fire. Elrond dropped his napkin to his plate and stood, relieved at the excuse to go somewhere that wasn’t here.
“Thank you, my Lindir.” He held out a hand to Celebrían. “We ought to go meet him.”
Celebrían took his hand and got up.
“Shall I join you?” Galadriel asked.
“No need, Amya,” Celebrían said in an almost panicked tone. “Finish your breakfast.”
The two of them couldn’t get away from the table fast enough. As they started out, Thranduil called after them:
“Do fix his hair for him, hiril nín. Or your golden warrior may launch an inquest when he arrives. He is so very overprotective, that one.”
If they had not been in such a very public space, surrounded by the people of Imladris, with Lady Galadriel seated next to Thranduil at the dais, both Celebrían and Elrond would have made a very rude gesture at him. As it stood, Celebrían just shot him a glare that could have melted the Helcaraxë. Elrond had only just recovered his composure and the comment served to make him blush an even more alarming shade of red. When he glanced back at Thranduil, the Elvenking just toasted him with his glass.
No matter. He’d get back at him later. Where did Thranduil think the twins got it from? Celebrían?
