Hi thanks for the information and sorry for my late reply. I was a bit low on spoons this week and I wanted to form thoughts about this.

Because the thing is, I am doing a PhD at an AI department in real-life. Not in generative AI, in fact I’m partly doing this because I distrust how organisations are currently using AI. But so this is my field of expertise and I wanted to share some insights.

First of all yes do try to opt out. We have no guarantee how useful that’s going to be, but they don’t need to be given your data that easily.

Secondly, I am just so confused as to why? Why would you want to use tumblr posts to train your model? Everyone in the field surely knows about the garbage in, garbage out rule? AI models that need to be trained on data are doing nothing more than making statistical predictions based on the data they’ve seen. Garbage in, garbage out therefore refers to the fact that if your data is shit, your results will also be shit. And like not to be mean but a LOT of tumblr posts are not something I would want to see from a large language model.

Thirdly I’ve seen multiple posts encouraging people to use nightshade and glaze on their art but also posts wondering what exactly it is these programs do to your art. The thing is, generative ai models are kinda stupid, they just learn to associate certain patterns in pictures with certain words. However these patterns are typically not patterns we’d want them to pick up on. An example would be a model that you want to differentiate between pictures of birds and dogs, but instead of learning to look for say wings, it learns that pictures of birds usually have a blue sky as background and so a picture of a bird in the grass will be labelled as ‘dog’.

So what glaze and nightshade are more or less doing is exploiting this stupidness by changing a few pixels in your art that will give it a very different label when an AI looks at it. I can look up papers for people who want to know the details, but this is the essence of it.

To see how much influence this might have on your art, see this meme I made a few years ago based on the paper ”Intriguing properties of neural networks”, Figure 5 by Szegedy et al. (2013)

Finally, staff said in that post that they gave us the option to opt out because of the maybe upcoming AI act in Europe. I was under the impression that they should give us this opportunity because of the GDPR and that the AI act is supposed to be more about the use of AI and less about the creation and data aspect but nevertheless this shows that the EU has a real ability to influence these kinds of things and the European Parliament elections are coming up this year, so please go vote and also read up on what the parties are saying about AI and other technologies beforehand (next to everything else you care about) (also relevant for other elections of course but the EU has a good track record on this topic).

Anyway sorry for the long talk, but as I said this is my area and so I felt the need to clarify some things. Feel free to send me more asks if you want to know something specific!

Ok Purgatory does have a problem

I was going to roll my eyes at that callout post. But I did some digging and unfortunately I agree that purgatory needs help. sshe keeps getting more animals and I noticed that she carelessly trades them around like collectibles. A lot of her posts paint an alarming picture of the care these animals recieve

for example, one of her geckos died today the 10th, and she only had that skunk gecko since December 1st 2022. She had it for less than a month and a half before it died. Other animals have also died pretty early in her care. She wants to become a snake breeder and its obvious shes getting her information from other bad caretakers and breeders

She admitted to having all of these animals. She lives in a 1 bedroom house and most things are kept in tiny containers.

Being close to two Norse Gods was never a good thing. Especially with someone who is called “The God of Mischief”.

I mean look at Jane Foster.

She and Thor got into a heated argument and it lead to them taking a “break” from their relationship.

Thor was heartbroken and consulted you. You were a mortal, you should know this better than him.

You listened to both sides of the story, saying that both of them needed to apologize to each other because each of them had a point.

Jane refused. Thor, however, was willing, but decided to wait it out.

After 3 months, Thor decided out to carry the plan.

You, in turn, babysat his brother, Loki: The God of Mischief.

He liked the idea of you babysitting him for a day. He had this shit-eating grin everytime he looked at you.

There was fear in the back of your head, fully knowing what he is capable of doing.

How about a Tom Hiddleston x reader oneshot like this: reader struggles in everyday life being a single mom without any support from her ex or family. But her new boyfriend Tom is there to comfort her thru the rough patches.

A/N: sooo since i don’t write for actors yet (don’t know if i ever will) i changed it to a loki x reader. i’m so sorry for the delay and any typos, i literally just wrote this in an hour lol i hope you enjoy it and as always, feedback is more than welcome.

Ever since your little boy was born you have faced many difficulties.

First was the disapproval from your family. You had gotten yourself pregnant after a one-night stand but luckily you knew the guy. At first he was more than willing to help and support you. He accompanied you to your appointments and even asked you out on dates, willing to make this work. But it only lasted the first three months and after that he disappeared.

Lucky for you, you met his family before he ran away and they offered you economic support for you and your unborn baby. You got a job at a restaurant but soon the fatigue was too much for you and your aching feet and you had to look for another one. You spent the last months of your pregnancy working in a law firm as a secretary and once you gave birth, they offered you a permanent job there as an assistant. Thanks to your college degree you could aspire for a better position in the firm, so you applied for it and that’s where you met Loki.

He worked there as the Hiring Manager so he knew of your situation. He was a gentleman since the very beginning, always so attentive to you, so you didn’t understand why he acted that way. He couldn’t possibly have an interest in you, could he? But you soon found out his true motives when he asked you out on a date.

At first you were very reluctant. You couldn’t shake the feeling that he was playing with you, only wanting you for sex and then he’d toss you away or even worse, fire you.

Loki understood your mistrust on him and he did everything he could to show you he meant no harm. It wasn’t until he asked to meet your son that things really changed between the both of you.

He had stared in awe at the little boy in his arms as he reached his tiny hand out to grasp Loki’s raven hair. Loki had never seen something so fragile yet so beautiful and he knew, from that very moment, the he would do anything to protect the baby in his arms and you.

After that day you and Loki began to date officially and you couldn’t be happier. It has been two years since that day and you thank the heavens for placing him in your life.

Your son, Sebastian, is now almost three years old and he’s at that stage where he questions everything and talks nonstop. His first word was mom of course, but the big surprise was when after a date with Loki, he came back to your place to spend some time with you and your baby boy exclaimed the word ‘daddy’ at him.

You remember your eyes widened in shock and you quickly looked at Loki, waiting for him to stand up, leave and never come back. But that didn’t happen.

Loki stared at your son in awe and his green eyes soon turned red with unshed tears on them. He had lifted little Seb up and after staring at him for a minute he spoke softly at him.

“Yes, I am your daddy.”

You swore you could feel your heart grow in size at Loki’s words. The both of you spent the whole night crying while hugging little Sebastian.

You’re brought back from your daydream as you hear the jiggling of the keys and Seb’s voice.

“Mom! Mommy we are baaack!”

You fold the last shirt on the laundry basket and make your way to the front door. You see your son placing a small bag on the kitchen counter and Loki right behind him with the rest of the groceries. Sebastian sees you and runs to you. You open your arms and embrace him in a tight hug while Loki looks at you and smiles.

“Look at my toy mom! Daddy said I could pick one.”

He squirms out of your arms to go fetch the new toy Loki bought him and you take the opportunity to look at him with eyebrows raised. He shrugs his shoulders and smiles apologetically at you.

Sebastian comes back to you and waves the toy in front of you, a plush dog.

You gasp and open your eyes in surprise. “Daddy got you a dog?”

Seb rolls his eyes playfully and shakes his head. “It’s fake mom! Duh.”

You nod in understanding and stand up as you see him run to his room to play with his new ‘dog’.

“You just couldn’t wait, could you?”

You stare at your boyfriend with a smug smile and he laughs. Walking closer to you, he places his hands on your hips and gives you a chaste kiss on the lips, getting a smile out of you.

“I want to tell him now.” He whines and you laugh again, pushing him away from you.

You make your way to the kitchen and begin to unpack everything. “You just had to wait one more week, babe.”

You hear him groan and seconds later he’s behind you, hugging you from behind and resting his chin on your shoulder.

“Have I told you how much I love him?”

You turn around to face him and grab his face. “Yes, but we can’t spoil him. We’re picking up the real dog in a week, Loki.”

Placing a kiss on his cheek you turn around again and continue what you were doing. You feel him tighten his hold on you and his mouth is now on your ear.

“I can’t help it! It still catches me off guard when he calls me dad.” His tone is soft as he whispers right next to your ear.

Turning your face lightly to his side, you sigh and peck him on the lips. “I know what you mean, the little pout and big doe eyes followed by a ‘pretty please’ are not easy to resist.”

He lets out a breathy laugh and squeezes your sides.

“My point, exactly.”

Shaking your head you feel your lips tug into a smile remembering your son’s face. That little demon knows what it does to you.

Loki helps you by putting everything were it belongs and once you’re finished you both crash on the couch. He wraps his arms around you as you bury your face on his neck, breathing his scent.

“I love you and our little family. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.” He mutters on the crown of your head, kissing it softly.

You feel your heart flutter at his words and a sigh escapes you. “Thank you for not running away.”

Tightening your embrace you close your eyes, relishing in the feeling of being in Loki’s arms. He gently pushes you away from him and grabs your chin, lifting your face so you can look at him.

“I would never do such thing, you and Seb are my everything and I would never abandon you.” Glancing down to your lips, Loki darts his tongue out to lick his own lips and bends forward, catching your mouth.

Somehow he still manages to steal your breath away with every kiss, even after dating for two years. He caresses your lips with his own and all coherent thoughts leave your head. It isn’t until you feel a sudden weight on top of you that you come back to reality.

“Dad stop eating mommy!”

Seb whines as he pulls at Loki’s shirt, trying to pry him away from you. Loki laughs and gives up, opening his eyes to look at the little intruder. Loki and Seb begin a tickle war and you watch them in awe.

You truly are the luckiest woman in the world.

For the Christmas ask, The Drifters’ version of “White Christmas” and for a detail, decorating Christmas cookies or a gingerbread house!

“This was a terrible idea.”

“No,” you grit out, “this is festive. And romantic.”

Loki frowns, his hands out in front of him like a surgeon prepped for surgery—and covered in a sticky white frosting.

“The one on the box didn’t look like this.”

You fling a handful of sprinkles at him, your other hand busy with the bag of frosting. The attempt is a carefully piped lining of icicles along the roof of your gingerbread house—it’s looking a little more like a snowstorm hit the little cabin, dripping down the sides.

Loki had the job of decorating the little gingerbread people who would stand in front of the house.

One is decapitated now; his piping bag exploded over the other one.

He heaves a dramatic sigh. “We could be doing other things right now.”

“Like...what.” You squint at the house, shaky hands trying to draw tiny lines, your tongue poking out from between your teeth.

“Well,” Loki starts, licking some of the frosting off his fingers, “it’s snowing, so we could go for a walk. Or we could stay inside. Maybe cuddle, watch a movie, do what comes naturally? Or each other?”

You just hum in reply, carefully placing a single red candy on the gingerbread door.

Loki raises an eyebrow at you—you don’t give him so much as a glance.

“We could lick frosting off each other,” he suggests, and emphasizes it by running his tongue along his middle finger.

“Yeah.” You nod and wave your hand at the sugar crystals. He moves them close enough for you to reach with a frown, still licking the frosting off his hands—just minus the seduction, since you clearly couldn’t care less.

“We could...make a baby.”

You’re patching up a broken gingerbread window. “Mhm.”

“Or maybe see how long you can last in this weather with no clothes.”

Reattaching the decapitated head. “Mmmhm.”

All he can do is sigh again, moving to the sink to wash the frosting off his hands. He’s just turned on the water when you let out a cheer and toss your piping bag on the table.

“Done!”

He gives you a smile, scrubbing at his palms. “It looks wonderful.”

“Damn right it does,” you agree with a sure nod, then turn to him. “So.”

He lifts a tired eyebrow. “Hm?”

“Which one?”

“Huh?”

You stand and stretch. “You gave me a lot of great options. I can’t possibly pick one.”

“I...didn’t think you were listening,” he says with a sheepish grin, heat creeping up the back of his neck. “Sorry.”

You hold up your frosting-covered hands and lick a stripe of it off your wrist, holding his gaze. “You underestimate me.”

He shuts off the water with a laugh. “That, I do. I’ll work on that.”

“So...”

His hands snake around your waist. “So?”

You lift a finger and leave a streak of frosting across his grin, leaning in to kiss it off. “I liked the first bad idea.”

Story: Timeless Warrior (Fandom: Lord of The Rings)

Name: Phoenix Garcia (formerly Phoenix Nowak)

Alias: Khaleesi, Dragon Rider

Age: 40 (shortly after the story begins she turns this age)

Race/Ethnicity/Home Country: White. Mexican on her mother’s side, Polish on her father’s. Born and raised in Arizona, USA.

Hair: Dark brown before the war; silver due to stress of the war

Eyes: Blue-grey

Height: 5′5″

Species: human

Any Markings: A few tattoos: Valar Morghulis on the inside of her right wrist, Valar Dohaeris on the inside of her left wrist, the three-moon symbol for her pagan religion on her left shoulder, a skull with a chef’s hat and crossbones of a chef knife and whisk on the right shoulder, a red rose with one black pedal on the inside of her left bicep (a tribute to Rosa). Crisscross scars over her left eye from when she tried to save her wife’s life.

Powers: No known supernatural ones. Controls a mechanical dragon.

Relationship status: Widowed. Wife died saving her life

Spouse: Rosa Garcia. High school sweethearts. Built Meraxes to help win the war. Sacrificed herself to save Phoenix’s life.

Love Interest: Lord Elrond of Rivendell

Bio: Phoenix was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ as the oldest of two kids. Her mother was abusive and her father stayed married to keep the kids safe. Phoenix met Rosa in high school and the two became instant friends, starting a relationship their senior year. Rosa went off to get her degree and a job at NASA while Phoenix went to culinary school and opened a restaurant in Downtown Phoenix. The pair got married once it became legal in their country. They then sold the restaurant so the couple could move to Houston for Rosa’s job. Phoenix began teaching cooking classes that went virtual once a pandemic hit their country. Not even a year later, a war broke out and they found themselves leading a small group of survivors. With Rosa’s intelligence and connections, she got a group together to turn an old plane into a mechanical dragon. Unfortunately, Rosa was killed two years before the war ended and Phoenix blamed herself.

After the war, Phoenix accidentally flies through a portal into Middle Earth where more problems require her help.

Love Interest: Everett Ross, much to her annoyance.

Bio: Juna was one of the first species of humans to grace the earth. Born with a connection to the planet and humans, when they evolved, so did she so she would be able to blend in. She is responsible for the catastrophic events from the ice age ending to Pompeii, all in an effort to maintain the balance of earth and nature. She is not fond of humans and grows more and more annoyed with them as the years go by and the planet becomes more trashed. She’s not a villain, she just wants to save her home.

He’s deeply at peace right now, with the most serene softness to his face that you’ve seen in a long time.

Loki’s been needing some peace lately, between hyper kids and an equally hyper brother, plus patients and work and avenging and being a princely diplomat and a husband; yeah, he deserves to curl up with a good book.

But, his hands dare to exist. So graceful. Such long, pale fingers, turning the pages and clutching the cover, you want to hold them, but he’s caressing a book, not you.

What a shame it would be if someone were to interrupt.

You stride over to the couch, pluck the book out of his hands—careful not to lose his spot—and plop yourself down on his lap.

“I was reading that,” Loki halfheartedly protests, half a tired grin creeping over his face—he can’t say this isn’t preferred.

“Read me,” you mutter, already distracted by the hands settling on your thighs. “Give me your hands.”

The god quirks an eyebrow, but does as you say. Always, does as you say, as if he likes it, as if he’s proud to.

You hold his hands like he held the book. Just let them sit in your palms, occasionally running your thumbs along the curve of skin between his thumbs and forefingers.

They’re heavy.

Yet at the same time...perfectly light. At first they float, and Loki is confused, so you lean forward to press a soft kiss to his forehead and his hands fall the rest of the way into yours.

“What’s this about?”

“Appreciation.”

The left hand drops from your grip as you focus on the right, lifting it to eye level and squinting at it.

Holding perfectly still, he watches you trace the undersides of his fingers from the tip to the center of his palm, your touch ghostly and careful, sending a tingling shiver down his spine.

The minuscule jerk of his body under you makes you crack a smile, and you bring his palm to your lips.

“Tickles?”

Loki nods, his eyes fluttering closed.

“Sorry,” you whisper, and place a tiny kiss on each of his fingertips.

“Kids asleep?”

“Mhm.”

He hums right back deep in his throat, his free hand settling in the curve where your thigh meets your hip, his thumb brushing over your skin as you kiss his fingertips.

He’s gone completely limp and looks so difinitively delicious that you can’t help but take the tip of his middle finger between your teeth, watching him through your eyelashes when he cracks an eye open to stare at you.

“Careful—”

Sliding your fingers through his, you cut him off by catching his lips with yours.

That’s when he actually relaxes.

His eyes close and he groans against you, squeezing your hand tight as you stroke your fingers along his knuckles. You’re lifting the weight of a million stars from his chest with one brush of your lips, and you guide his hands to wrap around your neck as you pry your fingers from his so you can slide your palms over his chest, his shoulders, up his neck to lose themselves in his hair.

The smallest whimper leaves his throat.

“Hey,” you whisper, pulling away ever so slightly, forehead still resting against his. “Loki. You okay?”

“Tired,” he replies hoarsely. “So, so tired.”

He hasn’t been sleeping well, you’ve been able to tell, always tossing and turning beside you, trying to hold onto you and see if that will put him to sleep, but most of the time he ends up getting out of bed to go busy himself with anything he can. A book, a small task, writing, you, if you’re awake; any kind of distraction.

You nudge his cheek with your nose, slowly stroking your palm up and down the side of his neck. “Go to sleep, sweetheart. Right now, just fall asleep, I’m right here.”

His forehead drops to your curve of your neck. “Something’s changing,” he murmurs, fingers curling against your back. “It’s waking me. I don’t know what or when or what is has to do with us, but something...something significant is on the horizon.”

Moving slowly from his cheek to just under his eye, you trace your lips along the smooth skin there, placing a soft kiss on his brow. “Something good?”

“Maybe.” He twitches under you and shakily tries to land a kiss to your lips, but he misses and it lands on your chin instead. Breathing a quiet laugh, you take his face in your hands, thumb tracing once over his lips before you guide him into a proper kiss.

“We’ll make it good,” you whisper. “Whatever it is.”

Trailing soft kisses across his cheek and down his neck, you pick his left hand up again, lips moving to the inside of his wrist as he quietly groans.

“What kind of dark magic...”

“Affection, Loki.” A quick kiss to his wedding ring. “It’s called affection.”

He laughs, his fingers curling towards you. “I know. Can I—”

“No.”

You push him back against the couch with a firm kiss to his forehead, not letting go of his hand when he tries to flip the tables on you.

“Unbelievable,” he grunts. His eyes flutter closed and he smiles. “You’re such a pain.”

“Mhm.”

You kiss his wedding ring again, ghosting kisses along his ring finger and down to his palm and back up to twirl his ring around his finger. It’s still one of your favourite things you’ve ever given him—aside from two children, I suppose.

A thin golden serpent wraps itself around his left ring finger, a snake with two tiny emerald eyes, biting it’s tail to bind him as yours.

When you lift your gaze, he’s staring at it.

“You okay, honey?”

He smiles, twists his hand suddenly to grab your wrist and yank you against him, and locks an arm around your neck as you let out a yelp.

“Always,” he whispers, and kisses your giggling lips. “Always, no matter what.”

Multifandom writing challenge?

Thank you all for 1.2k, you’re awesome and I hope you know how much I appreciate you! Well, it’s been a whole year since I first started writing, and my birthday is in like, 2 weeks, so I thought: why not organizing something very self-indulgent? And that’s what I did. (I totally had this prepared since I hit 1k back in February)

Rules are pretty much the usual:

NO paedophilia/predatorial; NO rape/non-con nor romanticized toxic/abusive relationships; NO incest; NO smut for underage characters, even though the reader is underage as well;

Also: no monster sex; no rpfs (real person fiction); no A/B/O dynamics

Smut is welcome, but I won’t reblog it unless it’s under the cut

You can interpret the prompt as you want; aus and crossovers and encouraged

500 words min. and please use the ‘keep reading’ feature

Can be a one-shot or the first chapter of a series
