i wouldn’t mind cooper/lucy so much if it wasn’t yet another example of fandom behavior where people are attracted to a male character and ship him with the nearest white female character they find (even if it makes zero sense) to project onto her while also sidelining, erasing, and sometimes straight up villainizing her canon black love interest
